Blind man Cassidy has lots of fascinating fortunes, but my favourite is one I had recently:

"Bad news awaits you, sir. Sadly, sooner than you think. But beyond the news, paradise awaits. Paradise.."

We know what the bad news was, but what like about this one specifically is how Cassidy describes Arthur's eventual fate as paradise. It makes you think, "Paradise? All that suffering is paradise?" - but the more I thought about it, the more beautiful it really is.

Arthur suffered, he suffered for a long time even before his diagnosis, suffering was just one of the many side effects of the outlaw lifestyle. He wrote about always longing for death and how the world doesn't want him anymore. But even through all the devastation and betrayal especially towards the end of the game, Arthur got to finally see the world clearly for the first time in his life.

He had the opportunity to make things right, he was given the the chance to let himself die at ease under the light of the morning sun.

He finally had relief.

Relief from a life's worth of pain and suffering and agony and heartbreak and overwork and illness in the most peaceful way possible.

If that isn't paradise, then I'm not sure what is.
