Heart of the Weave - A Baldurs Gate fanfiction - Part 2
*GALE’S POINT OF VIEW*
Chapter 6
I found it rather difficult to fall asleep due to the intensity that the day brings us tomorrow, between the horrors of the Bhaal cult, the potential for other troubles along the way, and the dreariness of leaving my wife behind. I lie here admiring her sleeping face as I try to ignore it all, and just seeing her slumber peacefully eases the rapid thoughts racing through mind. What could she be dreaming about, I wonder? How did I get so lucky to meet someone like her? To be loved like she loves me truly is a blessing I never thought I’d receive, nor do I believe I deserve it. I gently kiss her forehead as she sleeps, inhaling her natural aroma that pleases the senses.
While I know Emmy, Jenevelle, and I will be fine, I am terrified of the possibilities that we could lose our friends who aren’t immortal, our families who are scattered all over, and the innocent people who are bound to lose their lives. How many have died within the past couple days? Twenty? Thirty? One-hundred? Come on, Gale. Don’t think about it.
Morning finally greets us, and I did not get much sleep at all, but that means none to me. Before I have the opportunity to even get dressed, Karlach, Wyll, Halsin, Astarion, and Shadowheart are all at the front door ready to go. Did they all conveniently meet here or did Withers set off some obnoxious alarm somehow to make sure they knew to come? I gently shake Emmy’s shoulder to wake her; Gods, I don’t want to be away for so long. Who knows how long this could take us?
“My love, I have to leave now,” I whisper to her. She opens her eyes, the bright golden sun beaming inside them as she wakes. I put on a decent shirt as she’s trying to get out of bed. “I’ll miss you so much. I’m so sorry this is so terribly sudden.” She gently steps toward me and wraps her arms around me from behind, pouting into my back. I laugh lightly as she tries to hide her cuteness.
“How will we know everyone is okay?” Her voice is full of worry but it’s understandable why she would feel this way. “I hope we don’t lose anyone. We already lost Jaheira.”
“I know, baby. I know. I promise I’ll be back as soon as I can.” We both walk into Jenevelle’s room together and I notice she’s still asleep; heavily, too. Oh my sweet baby, I’ll be thinking about her the entire time I’m gone. Melancholy fills my heart from the thought of not knowing how long I’ll be gone; but it has to be done. I lean down to kiss her delicate little cheek that smells of lavender petals – thanks to her bath herbs from last night.
“I love you Jenevelle,” I murmur in her ear. “Daddy will miss you.” Emmy and I head down the stairwell to the downstairs area so I may depart with the others on this journey. I open the front door, noticing Astarion holding Shadowheart in his arms as she holds their little boy.
“I love you both,” he tells her quietly. Her bottom lip sticks out just a little as a frown droops across her face. “Don’t you forget it. I promise you this, we’ll be back.” I turn to look at my wife once more and we part with one final kiss before I step outside.
“I love you,” she whispers. “Come back soon.” Halsin, Wyll, and Karlach stand behind Astarion as Shadowheart walks inside with their son, accompanying Emmy while I’m away. Astarion takes a deep breath then relaxes his shoulders.
“Off we go then,” he says.
Through the city of Waterdeep we go and it feels so empty without my two favorite people, though deep down I know this is what I must do. The area around us is so calm and inviting; people chatting and laughing on the street and drinking tea, birds singing as they splash in their birdbath, and even the fresh scent of books coming from the open doors of the library.
“Astarion! Gale! Let’s cheer up, mates!” Karlach cheers, nearly scaring the daylights out of me with her hyperactive enthusiasm. “There’s…well, maybe a few positive sides to this adventure.”
“Name a few,” Astarion and I say simultaneously, then glance at each other for a moment.
“Well, you get a break! And, on that note, when you get back home, the feeling of seeing your loved ones again will overflow you with joy.”
“You have a point,” I add. “That will be nice seeing them once we get back. The yearning for missing them will be fulfilled by their presence alone.”
“That’s the spirit!”
“And hey, Gale, you’ll get to use your magic again,” Wyll comments. Gods, yes. The urge has been killing me lately to apply my magic skills somewhere, but unfortunately I haven’t had the chance. The only time I get to really do that anymore is when I’m teaching, and I don’t go back to the Academy for another month. Hopefully I’ll be back by then. I avoid using my magic around Jenevelle, regardless of her being immortal, because I’m not taking any chances. “In your case, Astarion, you can get jabby with those sharp daggers and feed off some Bhaalists.” Astarion hesitates, but doesn’t seem opposed to the idea.
“Hm! I suppose you’re right. I won’t lie, that sounds like quite the treat. I’ve just grown so accustomed to a cozy life with a bed and no violence of any kind. This will be weird for me.” What Astarion said just reminded me how long it’s been since we’ve actually had to fight and destroy enemies of any kind. This will be strange, but hopefully we will get through it like we always have.
“It’s so beautiful seeing you two become such incredible fathers,” Halsin mentions. “I love to see it. And if you ever need a sitter ”
“Hey now! Fine, fine, we’ll take turns,” Karlach interrupts.
We finally stumble across the path that leads out of Waterdeep and suddenly I’m hit with traumatic flashbacks: Emmy being abducted by the clutches of Raphael. Orin. Gortash. Steel Watch. Hell, even Ketheric. The Dead Three have been – well, dead – for quite sometime now but the spontaneous traumatic visions I get of our past still hits me from time to time. I wish my mind would quit manipulating me into thinking about these horrors.
After a moment, I begin to snap out of these awful thoughts because the scenery is absolutely magnificent. The squirrels rustling through the leaves and a few foxes dashing in the forest a few feet away is only a fraction of it. Then there’s the mountains in the very far distance, which I’m not familiar with that area, and a lovely pond to our right as we continue on the dirt trail.
“So. Much. Walking,” Karlach groans. “Are we there yet, dad?”
“Which one of us are you talking to, Me or Gale?” Astarion teases.
“Either one, you’re both fathers. How close are we?”
“Oh. Oh-ho-ho,” Astarion chortles. “We aren’t even halfway there!”
“For fucks sake.”
The sky’s color begins to fade to a dark violet, so we decide it’s about time to set up camp. I won’t lie, I’m ready to sit down and enjoy a nice dinner by the campfire, maybe make some nice conversation so I can shake off the thought of being in Baldur’s Gate tomorrow. Gah, damn it Gale, quit being such a pansy.
“The good news is that we have yet to be attacked by anything,” Karlach says as she takes a large bite from her pork chop. “Gods, this is delicious.”
“Don’t count your chickens before they hatch Karlach,” Halsin responds.
“You would be the one to make that comparison.”
“We’re bound to come across some sort of evil just on the journey there alone. Though, if we’re lucky, maybe we won’t. Maybe Silvanus will guide us with grace.”
“MAN, I need your enthusiasm. I keep wondering when we’ll be getting attacked by a werebear. I’m on edge. I hate real life sometimes.”
I am hoping Jamus was exaggerating, even just a little, on how bad it is in the city right now. The Bhaalists, the temple, the city probably being on lockdown from all the peril.
“What’s on your mind, Gale?” Wyll asks, and I immediately snap out of my train of thought.
“All of us have devoured our dinner and you’re just staring at your pork chop like a sad little puppy. What’s wrong, pal?” Gee, I must have really zoned out; I don’t even recall cooking at the campfire.
“I must have blacked out somehow. I’m fine, I promise. So peculiar, though, I don’t even remember cooking the meat or anything. I just remember Karlach talking about a werebear and that was it.”
“A weird side effect of immortality, perhaps?” Wyll questions.
“Try a side effect of parenthood. Even as an immortal, it can be exhausting. Unfortunately for Gale, his child will never grow up. Poor fellow,” Astarion adds.
“I think I’m just worried – or rather, missing – Emmy and Jenevelle. I’m worried about my mother… Damn. This entire predicament is causing my mind to implode. No wonder why Emmy was anxious the other night.” On top of my anxiety, I’m drowning in the feeling of guilt for not being there enough for Emmy when she was dealing with these thoughts. I’m glad she’s feeling somewhat better, though. I take a deep breath and release the negative energy within me. “No. We’ll all be fine. We will end this.”
“Hey! That’s the spirit!” Karlach cheers. “How are you feeling, Astarion?” He hesitates and scoffs, but follows up with a sigh of what appears to be relief.
“I do miss them. Shadowheart and Asher, I mean. I’ve finally found a purpose. People I love unconditionally that love me the same way. It isn’t…fake love and seduction. It’s emotional fulfillment and actual love. I’ve never had that before.” I smile at Astarion as he tells us his true feelings. It’s truly incredible that he’s overcome two centuries of pure torture and he’s finally where he belongs.
I manage to eat now that I’m fully engaged in conversation. Maybe Astarion’s right; maybe I’m just mentally drained. The stress of the Bhaal cultists is taking a toll on me, on top of having to be away from my wife and baby. I hope they are doing okay without me. It’s time to rest so I can be more powerful and feel my best before we make it to Baldur’s Gate tomorrow, because as an immortal, that seems to be the key to maximum strength.

Epilogue - Home
01/01/2023
Pairing: Hades (August Walker/Geralt of Rivia) x Eliza (OFC)
Word Count: 5,460
Warnings: pain (physical and mental), mentions of past trauma and grief, a little angst, unprotected sex, all the fluff
Summary: It's time for the God of the Underworld to return to the mortal realm and take his queen home.
A/N: This is it. More than 61,000 words, 15 months, a Hades tattoo and a lot of frustration, despair and soooo much fun later this story will finally come to an end today. I still cannot quite believe it and I am far from ready to let these two go now. But maybe rather than marking the ending of Hades and Eliza's story, it is actually the beginning of their life together as King and Queen of the Underworld. So instead of closing the door with this epilogue, I think I might leave it ajar, just in case the muse may grace me with one or two more ideas for these two.
Thank you to everyone who stayed with me during this crazy journey. My special thanks goes out to @ashesofblackroses for her never dying support and the endless swooning sessions that never failed to kick my muse in the butt whenever I felt the project was much too ambitious for me. And second I would like to personally thank @fvckinghenrycavill for all those unbelievably kind comments. You understand me as a writer like no other and pushed me through a real motivation drought with your wonderful feedback. I love you guys!

It was time, Anastasia realised as she looked up from the yellowed pages and found the mellow waves of the lake glowing like liquid fire. She would have to finish the story later if she wanted to stick to the plan and take her stroll at the water’s edge in the cool light of the blue hour. It wasn’t much of a loss, she thought as she sat the book down on the coffee table. She knew the ending of the story anyway. The fool would turn and lose the love he had just regained for good. He had entered the Underworld, touched the hearts of Hades and Persephone, swayed them to let him lead his lover back to the world of the living, just to give in to his growing impatience and consequentially ruin the second chance they had been so graciously granted. Anastasia sighed. Mortals or gods, it didn’t matter. They were all idiots if one believed the tales of the ancient Greeks.
For a second her eyes grazed the coat rack, but she dismissed the thought of taking a jacket right away. It had been scorching all day, and she didn’t expect it to be any less so when she stepped out onto the front porch. To her surprise, a soft breeze carried over from the water, gently playing with her hair as she began strolling down the small path that joined the cottage and the lake.
A thought made her turn around and she couldn’t help a bittersweet smile from growing on her lips as she watched the tiny house gleam in the last rays of sunlight that crept across the tree tops. She had spent a lot of her childhood here, at her grandparents’ cottage. Spring had always been her favourite time for a visit and she remembered scurrying through the daffodils that grew everywhere around the lake, chasing butterflies while her grandfather had watched her with a smile, patiently waiting for the fish to bite. After their deaths, she had inherited the place and for the last two years, she had come here every time the opportunity presented itself.
It was a good hiding spot, her refuge to forget about her shitty job and her troublesome love life and all of life’s other inconveniences. Here she was free, to be herself, to do whatever she pleased and she was sure that there was something magic about this place.
Ana shivered as an odd feeling suddenly befell her. A familiar feeling, like an old friend, but odd nevertheless. It had accompanied her all her life, always lingering in the back of her mind or the pit of her stomach, growing stronger from time to time, then dropping to a mere whisper at others. It wasn’t exactly a bad feeling, neither did it feel particularly good, and over time she had simply learned to live with it.
It hadn’t always been an easy burden to shoulder though, especially not in her childhood, knowing full well that her friends didn’t live with the same inner voice and assuming as a consequence that something was terribly wrong with her.
Maybe it was, she often thought, especially in the darker moments when another relationship ended or when simple tasks like getting out of bed and going to work seemed almost impossible. It were times like those when the voice grew louder, clearer, and Ana thought that she might be able to grasp its message at last. But no matter how hard she tried, she hadn’t been able to figure it out.
The closest she had ever gotten were images that came to her in flashes, like fragments of memories that weren’t her own, forcing themselves into her mind violently. Dark, demonic eyes, an opera house, a name too faint to understand. She couldn’t make much sense of them, but that wasn’t necessary. She knew they were important and nothing could ever compare to the feeling they brought with them. A feeling of finally being whole that always vanished too soon and left her feeling more incomplete every time, knowing only that she was missing something or someone, and probably always would.
That was why she loved coming here, to her cottage, so much. At first she had thought it was nothing, a mere coincidence, but over the past few months the voice inside her head had grown stronger with every passing second she had spent here. A whispering temptation that had become impossible to ignore, pulling her steadily towards the unknown. Maybe it had to do with nature’s beauty that surrounded her here. With the soft light, the calming sound of the tender waves or the heady scent of narcissus that filled the air.
Narcissus?
In the middle of August?
Bewildered she stopped, just in time, she realised as her gaze fell onto the colourful patch of flowers that bloomed right before her feet. Ana could have sworn they hadn’t been here this morning when she had last taken the rocky path to get to the lake for an early morning swim. In an attempt to find out if they were actually real, she leaned down, careful fingers reaching out for the yellow petals instantly.
She gasped, stumbling back a few steps when a tearstained voice ghosted through her mind as clear as day the second her fingertips touched the silky blossom.
Aidoneus.
Her heart drumming wildly in her chest, Ana clutched her hand to her body as if the flower had singed her fingers. Impossible.
Until we meet again, my beloved mortal.
That voice.
A different one this time, but layered thickly with the same heart-wrenching despair. On instinct her eyes followed the direction it had seemed to come from. Down the path, from the lake. And without waiting for permission, her feet began to carry her in the very same direction.
My beloved mortal.
The words echoed in her mind. Mortal? Who in their right mind talked like that? She had probably read too much Ovid today, that was all.
Still, that voice. That warm, dark timbre. A voice like that surely couldn’t just emanate from the pure power of her imagination. It was too tempting, too perfect, too familiar to be born from her mind alone. And it was calling her.
Where to and who or what would be waiting for her, Ana didn’t know, and it didn’t matter anyway. Because the one thing she did know was that this was it. This was the day she would find out what the feeling that had accompanied her all her life meant. And the moment she looked around and found the path lined by more and more lush patches of daffodils, she hurried her steps.
And she didn’t stop until her body broke through the last line of trees. She couldn’t have stopped, not even the growing fear of stumbling and crashing onto the rocky ground could have made her, but as soon as her eyes fell upon the figure standing by the waterline, her feet refused to take even one more tiny step.
His back was turned on her and she couldn’t make out more than a pair of remarkable shoulders, a wide back that narrowed all the way down to his perfectly shaped behind, all clad in the blackest set of trousers and a matching shirt she had ever seen. And still it was enough to make her feel his darkness, his strength and preternatural power that was oozing from his body.
For a split second, she was tempted to run, solving the riddle of a lifetime be damned, but then he turned. Even from a distance the icy blue of his eyes dazzled her. But it wasn’t just their colour, there was something else about his eyes that annihilated her flight instinct in a heartbeat.
Could it be? Could it be that it was his voice she had heard, his voice that had lured her here? If only he would say something to confirm or contradict her theory, but he just stood there, his eyes fixed on her with a probing gaze, holding hers, waiting patiently. And it was then Ana understood that he was leaving the decision to her. She could turn and walk away, pretending this encounter had never happened, or she could follow the path that had led her towards him and, hopefully, finally unravel the mystery of the voice inside her head.
But to Ana, there was no choice to make here, not really. And so she walked on, even though her knees threatened to give out with every step she took, even though her lungs felt as if they didn’t take in enough air to keep her mind focused, even though she heard nothing but the rush of her heartbeat in her own ears.
It surprised her a little with which ease she stepped into his private space—and even more so, how natural it felt. For a moment she pondered whether she should touch him, just to make sure he was real. The wavy strand of his brown hair that trembled in the breeze was tempting, as were the whiskers on his upper lip, but for now, being so close to him that she could feel the warmth radiate off his massive body would have to do.
“Do I know you?”
The hint of a smile broke through his sincere facade and Ana regretted her lack of courage to touch him instantly. He would have let her, she was sure of it now. But as soon as he answered her question, that thought wasn’t important anymore. Nothing was.
“You do, and yet you don’t.”
It was him. No doubt about it. Him she had been pulled towards all her life. Because it had taken only one sentence from his mouth to make her yearning stop and all she was left with under the warm gaze of his eyes was peace.
“Who are you?”
“Some call me the Unseen One, Receiver of Many, others Devil or Death. But that’s of little consequence to me.” He paused, and Ana wanted to blurt out a million questions that spiralled through her mind at once. But from the corner of her eye she saw his hand move towards her cheek, and the anticipation of his touch silenced her. It never came though. It didn’t have to. His words meant more than any touch of his hand ever could have. “You, on the other hand, are.”
“Why? What am I to you?”
And then his hands were there, cupping her cheeks with an urgency that was only surpassed by the urgency in his voice.
“You are everything to me.”
His passionate confession made it impossible for her to breathe. He had meant every word of it. If his tone and his touch weren’t enough to make her believe him, his eyes surely were. But still there was this nagging voice inside her. Doubt. Nursed by the lies and disappointments that formed the patchwork of her previous love life.
“How can you be so sure of that? You don’t even know me.”
The soft smile he finally allowed to settle on his lips made her heart flutter.
“I’ve loved you for a long time, sweet mortal. And at some point, I believe you loved me too.”
It was true. It must be. What other explanation could there be for this pull, this feeling of belonging? She had loved him. She still did. And he loved her. And still her heart grew heavy with the one realisation that pushed itself between her and the man she belonged with.
“I…I don’t remember. Why don’t I remember you?” It wasn’t until she heard her own shaky voice that Ana realised she was crying.
“Sh, don’t cry, my love,” he cooed as he tenderly wiped away the salty drops from her cheeks. “I told you once that there was always a way. And while I have been waiting for this day to arrive, it unfolded itself before me. I’m afraid it is neither easy nor entirely painless, but I will be with you should you choose it anyway. So tell me, my queen, do you want to remember?”
Her answer didn’t come immediately and it was only now that Hades realised he had only ever envisioned this scenario to end in his favour. But what if she declined? What if she chose a life that did not include him?
The day he had finally found her again, he had been sure that he wouldn’t be able to live another day apart from her, and it had cost him every last ounce of his will power to stay away from her, to wait for the moment she would be ready to remember. He wasn’t sure if he would survive her rejection now. He had vowed never to lose her again, not even by the hands of the Fates themselves, and the plan he and Hecate had come up with to ensure his queen would be able to rule by his side until the end of time itself was immaculate. But in this very moment his happiness, his heart lay in her hands and it didn’t escape the immortal god that he found himself once again in the throes of hope and despair, at the mercy of a mere mortal.
A single nod, silent but decided, finally ended his torment. His instinct told him to pull her closer, to celebrate the relief she had just granted him with a passionate kiss, but he knew that it was too soon to rejoice. The hardest part still lay ahead of them—of her.
And so the only thing that spoke of his elation was the warmest of smiles that curled his perfectly shaped lips upwards. “Then all you have to do is drink this.”
He loathed the second her gaze left his and was pulled to the richly decorated chalice that had appeared in his hand instead. Eyes glued to the clear, odourless liquid, Hades wondered whether she might reconsider her choice after all, when they suddenly lifted back up again to find his orbs of blue for reassurance.
I love you, sweet mortal, he wanted to say and Eliza would have understood. She would have understood that it was a promise, that there was nothing to be afraid of because he would never let anyone or anything harm her. But this was not his Eliza, not yet, and so he swallowed his words and smiled again instead until he could feel the weight being lifted out of his hand at last.
He didn’t dare look away or even blink as she lifted the chalice to her lips. She needed to drink it all, every last drop of the water from the Mnemosyne he and Hecate had been very careful to measure. A few drops too much from the pool of memory and she would not only remember her last life but all of them, and humans had gone insane over less. But one drop too little could mean she would be missing parts of her memory, vital parts, and that was a risk he was not willing to take.
And so he monitored her closely, watching her every move, every single twitch and flutter, while he waited for the inevitable. He knew exactly what was about to happen, Hecate had briefed him again and again, and they had disputed more times than he could count whether he was to tell his mortal what was about to happen to her or not. Ultimately, the fear of losing her again before he had even gotten her back had convinced him to spare her the details, but now, as he watched the unease cloud her eyes and slowly turn into panic, he hated himself for being such a coward.
It had started slowly. The first effects had been almost imperceptible and Ana had thought it were her nerves playing tricks on her when the world had seemed to blur for the tiniest moment and then instantly cleared before her eyes again. But she could feel that there was something building up in the back of her head, like an oncoming storm, and then everything seemed to be happening at once.
She had wanted to warn him that something wasn’t right, but before the words even had the chance to form in her mind, she lost control. She could see the reflection of her own eyes in his, and judging from the terror they held she seemed to be in a state of utter panic. But she wasn’t. At least it didn’t feel like it. In fact, Ana didn’t feel much at all. Strangely numb and a little lightheaded, the world began to slip away from her. She remembered waiting for the clattering sound of the chalice that had escaped her grip, but it never came. Instead she could feel herself fall, but instead of the hard ground she landed against something soft and was wrapped tightly into a warm blanket. For a second, it was only her, floating in sweet nothingness. She could have stayed like this forever. Calm. Peaceful.
But then a rush of light split the darkness, its gleaming blaze hurting her eyes as it surged towards her. In the distance, she heard somebody scream in pain and the air suddenly felt too heavy to breathe, leaving her with nothing but a salty, bitter taste in her mouth. And then the images came.
A beautiful couple with two sets of beaming eyes, a small boy sticking his head in between theirs as he hugged them from behind. Then the same boy, a bit older now, missing a tooth in his wild smile, and a little girl with dark hair looking up at him in adoration as he tightly clutched her hand in his.
Alex. ALEX.
Mom and Dad.
Tires screeching somewhere far away, glass breaking and metal groaning, then silence, darkness. And pain. A suffocating ache deep in her chest as real as it had been on the day that had marked the end of life as she had known it and spiralled her deeper into the abyss that had opened up a long while ago.
There was nothing. Only the darkness that surrounded her. She couldn’t even tell if her eyes were open or closed. But then there was something. Faint at first, but growing louder with every passing second. A whisper.
Eliza.
And even though there was still nothing to be seen, she could feel him. His strong arms that carried her into her bedroom, unrelenting hands that helped themselves to her flesh, caressing her, pleasuring her.
Let me worship you.
She was soaring, her heart threatening to burst as the memory of her divine soulmate came back to life piece by piece. Light blue eyes turning black, silvery scars appearing on immaculate skin, white hair replacing brown locks, and a smile as precious as it was rare, sparked by her, only her.
She wanted to stay in this fragment of her memory forever, basking in the intoxicating composition of mystery and desire, power and satisfaction, and love, so much love. He had almost completely manifested before her now, her God of the Underworld. All it took was a mere reach of her hand and they would be one again at last.
Her arm already lifting up, a flash of yellow suddenly drowned out his image as it hit the ground right before her feet. It was gone as suddenly as it had appeared, and all it left behind was a daffodil, its fragile petals crushed and broken. By a secret, sealed with a promise born from the naive passion of first love, woven by the hands of the Fates. Those fucking Fates.
Eliza felt her body starting to tremble, her breath quickening and it was only now that she realised she was running. She didn’t know where to, it was too dark to see, but she knew that she was running from something. And she was running for her life.
Should you ever need me, just say my name and I’ll be there.
“AIDONEUS!”
Eliza was screaming at the top of her lungs now. Over and over she hollered his name into the darkness, her voice losing volume with every cry for her lover. Hot tears were streaming down her face, drowning out her voice until it only came as a mere whisper, muffled by silk, before it fell silent completely.
It was done. She was back. His queen had returned. Where only moments ago he had taken a stranger into his arms, he held his Eliza now. She was still trembling in the aftershocks of her pain that had wrestled them both to the ground, but he could feel her body slowly relax against his chest. Still he was hesitant to loosen his tight embrace, as was she, it seemed, her fingers clutching the fabric of his shirt as if she feared he might vanish the moment she let go of him. He wouldn’t. He would never lose her again and there was no power in this world that would ever take her from him again either.
“It was you.” Her voice was feeble and croaky but full of determination. “It was you all along. Always you.”
“I promised to wait, didn’t I? Just as you promised to be with me always. Do you remember?”
“I do. And I did. All this time.”
It was strange really. The drink from the Lethe should have wiped every last bit of her memory, but somehow it seemed as if part of her had refused to forget about him and everything they had shared. He may have been erased from her mind, but he could never be erased from her soul. He was a part of it, a part of her.
A soft sigh escaped her lips as the need to be closer still took hold of her and her arm was already moving to wrap around his strong shoulders and neck before she even realised what she was doing. Everything about him felt new, as if she would feel him for the first time and hadn’t already explored every last inch of him. But that had been in another lifetime, a different body, causing her whole form to tingle as her head found the faintly familiar comfort of his shoulder. Immediately his long lost scent invaded her senses, smokey, sinful, pulling her closer until her nose had found the bare skin of his neck to inhale his rich essence right from its source.
It wasn’t long until her fingers started to move on their own, setting out to explore their territory. Soon they left the silky path of his shirt to slip underneath the dark fabric, venturing deeper and deeper, refusing to stop before they found the lush fur that covered his chest. Eliza could feel the rapid swell of his sharp inhale underneath her fingertips, and her lips chose to answer in her stead, pressing down urgently onto his warm skin. There was nothing she could have done to prevent them from parting the second they detected the strong pulse of his heartbeat against them, tongue darting out to taste him and the sheer force of life he radiated.
“Eliza.”
His voice was soft, pleading, almost drowning out against the low rumble of thunder in the distance, but his hands spoke a different language as they dug into her flesh. It was more than apparent that he was holding back. What for she couldn’t tell, but she knew for sure that she didn’t want him to. It felt like an eternity to her since she had last been his, how long must it have felt for him?
Distracted by the trail of burning desire her lips and tongue left on his skin, Hades was in no state to notice that her hand had left its fluffy resting place and was now moving up along his chest, his neck, his sharp jawline to find the friction of his scruffy cheek. He wasn’t surprised in the least that she wasn’t met with any resistance as she began to gently tilt his head towards her.
“My love,” she whispered, right next to his mouth, and when her breath slipped in between his parted lips, he knew he was lost.
The first touch of her mouth was featherlight, and still her kiss moved the deepest parts inside him as her lips carefully caressed his, probing, testing. It was Elysium, savouring her like this after what had felt like millennia, eons of separation. He could have stayed like this forever, his darling mortal in his arms, her soft lips on his, and he would never want for anything again. But then, with a sigh that rekindled memories he had only ever allowed himself to visit when the pain of her absence had threatened to become unbearable, she opened up to him and all his intentions of taking his time dissolved in the gentle breeze. With the first taste of her sweet flavour on his tongue, he could feel the hunger awaken inside of him, a hunger only she knew how to sate.
And Hades could tell that he wasn’t the only one who was yearning to renew their union as Eliza began to shift in his arms. Soon she was straddling him, the full softness of her body pressing against his chest as the strong hold of his arms around her coaxed a delicious moan from her lips.
Everything about her was new, the sensation of her skin, her smell, her taste and he was eager to familiarise himself with every little detail of her being and learn her anew.
Suddenly a flash of lightning broke the sky, reminding him very effectively that this wasn’t at all what he had wanted their reunion to be like. There was no need to rush. He had made that mistake before, outside the opera house, overwhelmed by the lure of her want for him. After the mess his weakness had caused, the pain it had caused her, he had sworn himself to never let his primal instincts take over like that again. And so he pulled away.
But as soon as his eyes found hers, he knew that it had been the wrong decision. Confusion dimmed the sparkle he had found there earlier, and was soon joined by the pain his refusal had brought.
“Don’t you want me?” she whispered and the words she added only in her mind spoke louder to him than ever. In this form.
How could she ever think he didn’t want her because she looked different now? He loved her, so much he had merged his soul with hers, a bond that would last until the end of time. What did looks matter in the face of such love?
“I want you more than anything, my sweet mortal.”
“And I you, my lord.” A pair of soft hands cupped his face. “I need you. I need you to show me you’re still mine.”
He growled lowly as his lips captured hers again in a searing kiss and pulled her closer.
“Right here?”
Her brown eyes held the blue orbs of his mortal form unashamedly. After everything that had changed about her, her eyes still remained the same. The same warmth, the same challenge, the same fire that burned for him.
“Right here. I cannot be apart from you any longer.”
In an instant the last barrier that had separated them vanished, forcing two heavy moans to break free as they finally felt each other skin on skin. They didn’t even notice the first raindrops that hit their naked bodies. Deeply immersed in each other, in their kiss, now hungrier, more demanding, they devoured each other, claiming anew what had been denied to them so long by fate.
“Show yourself to me, my love.”
With a soft moan his eyes closed and Eliza watched in awe as his hair turned white, his skin a touch paler, decorated with silvery scars like the finest marble. On impulse her fingers reached for him, coaxing a soft sigh from his lips as they traced the silvery lines on his chest and shoulders. But she also needed to feel his hair run through her fingers, those silky strands that were withheld from her by a messy bun. But she was quick to free them and as soon as she let her fingers dive into the divine softness, he opened his eyes.
“Aidoneus.”
Like a tender caress his own name wafted over his lips on her sweet breath. But before he could return the favour, the sure touch of her fingers, closing around his arousal, made her name die on his tongue and while she let the unfathomable darkness of his eyes swallow her, they became one again.
For a short eternity the world seemed to stand still, and so did they, clinging to each other upon the overwhelming sensation of the completeness of their reunion.
Finally, he thought as he buried his face in her raven hair. Finally she was back in his arms, where she had always belonged.
No words could have ever explained what they both felt right now, and so they kept silent, eyes holding each other—until she moved. Moaning in unison, there was no holding back from here on. Hands began wandering across bare skin, feeling, exploring, relishing in their regained closeness, joined by mouths that needed to lick and suck, to bite and taste what they had missed for far too long.
Rain was pouring down on them by now, still they stayed unfazed as the warm droplets hit them and cascaded down their bodies in thick rivulets. Thunder shook the trees nearby, causing ripples on the surface of the lake, but soon their sounds of pleasure drowned out the rumbling of nature as they filled the charged air around them.
In a wave of pleasure that pulsed through her whole body, Eliza’s head lulled back and Hades seized his chance. Eagerly he lapped up the raindrops from her velvety neck, her collarbones, her breasts, coaxing the sweetest sighs from her throat.
“Don’t let go,” she begged, her voice needier than ever in the face of her nearing high. “Please don’t let go.”
“Never.”
With a roar he pulled her closer, securing her in his arms as another stroke of lightning split the sky.
“Eliza.”
“Please, my love. Please.”
“I love you.”
His confession still hot on her lips, ecstasy washed over them, engulfing them, consuming them whole. And he did as she had asked of him. He didn’t let go. Not even after the storm had calmed and left them floating in perfect bliss. And neither did she.
He couldn’t blame her. It was simply impossible to loosen their embrace. After all the years of pain and yearning and silent despair. But none of this mattered now, dissolving like morning mist by sunrise. He would not lose her again. Never. Not even another day would he spend without her by his side, without her warm embrace and the protection of her love. This was perfection. Just holding her close, feeling the strain of her chest against his grip and the wild beating of her heart against his own, this was why he lived, the only thing that was real, and true, and finally set him free.
The many years of solitude had given him time to prepare, to plan her return to him and to the Underworld, as his rightful queen. Everything was settled, Thanatos and Hecate waiting for them and setting everything up for the ceremony. For as his queen, he wanted her to be his equal in every way. A goddess, not only to him but to the souls he ruled and the Olympians alike. The Goddess of Rebirth.
“Come with me, Eliza. Be my queen. Rule the Underworld by my side.”
His heart sank into his feet when instead of an answer, Eliza pulled away. He had been so sure that this was what she wanted as well, but with every passing second of her silence he began to wonder now if all the years of separation had deluded his mind on this matter.
“Aidoneus.” Her hands cupped his face again as she spoke, one thumb gliding along the softness of his lips. “Take me home.”
And there it finally was, the beaming smile, overflowing with happiness, that he had so dearly hoped to find on her face.
Home.
For a long time, there hadn’t been any place that deserved to be called that. But with her, he could make a home anywhere, even in the most unlikely of places. And he would. They would.

The Refugee, Chapter 43
Masterlist link
A/N: Hey folks! We're moving into the endgame chapters now. So much tension! I know. But I just wanted to take a moment to thank you so much for reading and commenting and liking this. It's such a journey but I've been lucky to have so much love and support and I hope I stick the landing over the next few weeks. Enjoy!
The battle against the Jotun raged outside the little town's gates. The archers (two of whom were Beatrice and Astrid) sent a hail of flaming arrows from the battlements down upon the frost giants who recoiled at the blazes. Beyond the gates, Thor and his forces fought side by side with his brother and Nadia's. The three rulers could mark each other across the field by the strikes of thunder and lightning, the golden blaze of the Vanir queen in her brilliant armor, or the slicing green daggers blazing through the air from Loki's fingertips.
Loki tried to focus on his combat but found himself distracted by a confused raging anger. How could he have been caught so unawares? How could he allow his attention to be so scattered by his mad love? He scolded himself for being a sentimental idiot when he should have been focusing on his enemy. He funneled this frustration through increasingly brutal strikes from his daggers and impaling swings of his razor sharp horns.
Without warning, every soldier on the battle field stilled abruptly, the the blizzard strengthened into an even thicker hazy wave of snow. It billowed over the battlegrounds and every allied troupe was frozen in place, aside from the three sovereigns. The blizzard subsided as a giant hologram of Laufey appeared over the battlefield. Every Jotun solider dropped to their knees under the image of their king. Nadia and Thor ran to meet Loki, directly in front of Laufey's towering form.
In a booming voice, the Jotun king addressed them. “Greetings, Your Majesties,” he said with a smirk, “I'm afraid our conversation must be brief, so I will come to the point. My dear prodigal son, I seem to have found something of yours.”  Laufey pulled Lenora to his side in the hologram, bound and gagged, but her dark eyes still peered out unobstructed.
Loki fought to maintain an indifferent glare as he addressed the king of Jotunheim. “Keep it, Laufey, and continue your futile battle. She's of no use to me at the moment.”
Laufey laughed tauntingly, “Oh Silvertongue, you cannot convince me so easily that this being has no value for you. In any case, I offer you a cessation of hostilities so we might talk, sovereign to sovereign, in a more civilized manner. Join me in Jotunheim and we shall come to an arrangement to end this war. Or you may simply send more bodies to scatter over this ground; a bloody testament to the greatness of my war. You have ten minutes to decided, which is exactly how long the soldiers will remain frozen and my troupes will remain on their knees to me. Discuss with your esteemed peers...”
Loki raised his voice but spoke in a calm, arrogant tone, as if he were simply giving a royal address to an adoring crowd. “No deliberation is necessary. Transport me now, Laufey.” Nadia and Thor looked to each other warily. “I'm bored with this tedious war and how long you have drawn it out unnecessarily with your sloppy tactics...and you do know how I tend to raise hell for everyone when I'm bored,” he said with a smug wink. “If you find this game as tedious as I do. We might as well end it quickly, yes?”
Laufey considered him with an uncertain skeptical glare and then said, “Very well.”  The hologram faded, Loki disappeared, and the battle suddenly raged again around Nadia and Thor, giving them no time to wonder what game Loki was playing at as the clash of hundreds of sword rang out around them.
---
After the brief meeting, Laufey himself accompanied Lea back to the cavern, teleporting there in a blaze of blue. Bound by the hex, she couldn't use her powers to know if Loki's cutting words were a ploy or the terrible truth. It had to be a scheme, she told herself, He had to be bluffing. He was lying, wasn't he? With all of her powers muzzled, she couldn't use her truth-seeking eyes to know. Would Loki know that she couldn't see if he was bluffing or not?
Lea tried to set her feelings aside and to think of what useful information she had. She realized as she stood with Laufey during his transmission in the throne room, that from above her dungeon pit the grate seemed solid and opaque. It was cleverly disguised as elaborate floor tiles to coax unwitting victims, like herself, to stand over it as the floor dropped away from under them. From underneath, she would be able to witness their negotiations, but Loki would not know she was there, hearing every word. With the gag in her mouth she would not be able to scream to him, announcing her presence. Would that even be a good idea? She was increasingly uncertain that he would be rushing in to save her like some damsel in distress. No, she thought. When it comes down to it, I'm on my own...as I've always been. I'm Morhari...we survive.
Laufey turned to her as she stood in the weak half-light. He roughly pushed her chin up to look him in the eyes as he spoke, gripping her jaw. “Hmm...what enchanting mournful eyes you have! What atrocities you must have witnessed in your short life for them to hold so much sorrow, poor girl. And now...yet another. It seems your king is all too content to dispose of you. That must sting terribly.” She scowled at him. “But I'm no fool. He might have been dishonest about his apathy. He generally is lying, after all. However, you can't deny how he's harmed you, little one. Wouldn't you rather serve a king who would value you rather than abuse you so? ”
He stroked her cheek then removed the gag so she could answer. “I would rather die than be a slave to another greedy sadistic king who promises kindness, or be trapped in one more dungeon, or hear more lies! I've had enough!”
He tied the gag around her mouth yet again, saying “Well, my dear, you can't say I never gave you the chance. You said you've had enough, but I'm afraid you'll have to endure a good deal more, very soon. After which, perhaps you'll change your mind.” Having said his peace, the Jotun King turned his back and vanished away, leaving her in a crushing, echoing darkness.
----
Laufey didn't move from his throne as Loki took his deliberate, easy steps down the flagstone of the aisle. The king only gestured his enormous cobalt hand in a mock-welcoming gesture. “Welcome home, my son.”
Loki twitched his head and raised an eyebrow. “Your son. What a strange thing to say to your abandoned bastard. You left me for dead, in case you forgot.”
“Jotun young who are born too weak are left to the elements. After a time, they either become stronger by this test or perish from it. Apparently, you became stronger. This pleases me.”
“Oh how very touching, but you'll understand if I don't give a damn about your delayed approval. My empire, created from nothing and built to greatness, is just as powerful as your lazily inherited kingdom. So, now you're lashing out, raging an annoying pointless war because you finally realize that you are inferior to your own discarded runt. Messy work, Laufey. I'm disappointed.”
Laufey grimaced, unable to hide that Loki had a hit a substantial nerve of truth. The best liars always do. He wanted to strangle that shit-eating grin off of his weaselly face, but he couldn't...although he could and would make him suffer with the girl.
“Talk all you want, Loki. We both know nearly everything that comes from your mouth means nothing at all.”
“Then why am I here!” Loki said in a booming commanding voice.
“Because you are foolish enough to walk into a trap, lured haplessly by the puny girl who's made you so shamefully soft, so quickly.”
“I fail to see how I've been softened. She's useful and I've used her well, disciplined her into my service. She's certainly clever, I'll give you that, but the girl is not why I'm here, Laufey. Keep her if you'd like, she's served her purpose well enough. Her popularity has gained me favor and power among the subjects, and her loss would only galvanize them into retaliation against the Jotun who took her from them. What have I to lose? I'm here to negotiate your terms of surrender...as a courtesy. You've been burning out your own resources keeping this pointless war going. We both know you can't go on like this, so now you seek to strike a bargain, under the guise of having me in your clutches. I have to hand it to you, dear old dad, you've hidden your motivations well, but I'm not an easy god to deceive or surprise.”
“You would do well to prepare yourself for the unexpected.”
“Oh?” inquired Loki, eyebrows peaking with genuine interest.
“I require an heir.”
Loki's wide, wicked grin plastered itself to his face. “Ohhhh. This is rich! How it must burn you to come begging to the one you left for dead. Doesn't the great Laufey have his own family of brats to inherit his frozen wasteland?”
Laufey growled, “No. I have no heirs, but you have proven yourself worthy enough to be mine. In the beginning, I waged this war to defeat you, but after our little Morhari friend failed to kill you for me, I realized how very cruel and cunning you could be. Your revenge on her was unabashed in its subtle ruthlessness! It gave me assurance that you could yet be a strong and worthy successor.”
“And how did you know about that?” asked Loki, this time genuinely surprised.
Laufey smiled, “You would do well not to underestimate the Heksejotun and their powers of sight. The girl certainly had the good sense not to.”
Loki only nodded. He wasn't wrong.
“I decided instead to continue this war as a test of your prowess, cunning, and might. So far, I have not been disappointed by your heartlessness or cunning. My heir must rule with an iron fist.
“Oh, I'm flattered,” Loki said, dripping with sarcasm, though his heart secretly glow with satisfaction to finally be called worthy by a father.
“This realm could be yours, after my death, however, I am concerned about your choice of empress. She will not be able to bear you an heir.”
Loki scoffed, “Come now. That union will be advantageous for my public image. She has the people's hearts and I don't have to tell you how valuable that is...a powerful manipulation at my disposable. Besides, concubines and mistresses are always plentiful and willing,” Loki paused and looked to Laufey with a penetrating gaze, “clearly you have no scruples about putting a bastard on the throne.”
“Find another cow, one that can breed, to put your ridiculous crown on. The girl stays here, as my resource. She's talented...”
Loki interrupted him with a cocky expression and said in a languid, filthy droll, “Oh, you have no idea how much so, which is why I'd like to keep her. But no matter, maybe her...talents...are a bit too distracting to me. Anyway, your point, Laufey...”
Their dialogue was interrupted by deafening roar and a quaking tremble through the floor. It was like an earthquake.
Laufey chuckled, “Pardon the interruption. I have a majestic beast several floors below and I'm afraid it is quite hungry. Soon I shall decide what...or rather who...its meal shall be.”
Eureka, Loki thought. That's a trap door, and I'd bet she's there beneath it.
Laufey continued, “Here is my bargain, emperor. You agree to be my heir, only after my death, and until such time, you will allow the Jotun to move freely in your territory, establishing them in your administration and governing several of your cities. It will be yet another gift to you, keeping your territories fearful and compliant, aiding you in your mission to have more and more of this planet kneeling before you, slaves to your will. And speaking of slaves, I will gladly relieve you of the distraction the girl causes you.”
“My will or yours, Laufey?” Loki said with a cold expression.
Laufey chuckled. “Perhaps both. You know, Loki, Lenora told me, that I am mistaken if I think you love her. She said that the only thing you really love is power. I am offering you twice the power you currently wield, as the crowned prince of Jotunheim accepting your birthright. Two realms on their knees to you, and all you need to do is agree to...rearrange slightly.”
“And if I reject your deal?”
Laufey smiled, “Then I kill the girl to test your mettle. Then we'll see for sure if you've become too soft to rule.”

It's been a pretty great year for me as a Twitch streamer in 2022! Not only did I begin streaming this year in February (I started really streaming regularly in September) but I became an Affiliate in October and have made a whole new slew of friends from this experience!
I promised myself this year that I wouldn't hide behind my art career anymore and that I'd put my self first and show the world who I really am! It was scary and it definitely took a lot of encouragement, planning, and preparation before I began, but I'm so proud to share my progress that I've made in just these few short months I've been streaming.
Let me be an example and a lesson to artists, gamers, fat people, and those who are afraid to stream even though it's something they've always wanted to do. It's been such a rewarding experience and has helped me through such a difficult time in my life.
I don't think most people know this, but I don't have the fancy RGB gaming setup that many popular streamers do. I don't have monitors, I don't have the custom NVIDIA graphics card computer towers, I stream from an old refurbished HP Envy laptop hooked up to my modem, a $16 capture card, a Logitech Stream Cam, and a lapel mic.
This year-- really this past 6 months or so of streaming-- have been life changing.
My first ever fundraiser stream we raised over $500 for my rent!! Like hello??? That's HUGE! 🤡
Thank you to everyone who has accompanied me on this journey, I hope y'all stick around for the wild moments and bigger and better things I'll be bringing in 2023!

Tag You’re It- Massimo x Reader (Epilogue)
Tumblr media
Pairing(s): Massimo Torricelli x Reader
Warning(s): None, tears from your author
A/N: Thank you sooooo so much to everyone who has read this series. I love you all immensely. Song is ‘’Hard for Me’’ by Michele Morrone. I hope every one has a very happy safe new year, thank you for sticking with me throughout this journey.
PART ONE PART TWO PART THREE PART FOUR PART FIVE PART SIX PART SEVEN PART EIGHT PART NINE PART TEN
You keep telling me that I am free to go But I'm addicted to you It's a lie It's a lie
  ‘’No, absolutely not.’’
 ‘’And why not?’’
Cocking her head upwards, she beams at the sight of his thick eyebrows knotted together in feigned annoyance. The twinkle in his dark eyes gives him away as he grins down at her, admiring that tiny dimple that graces the left corner of her mouth whenever she laughs or smirks in mischief. Just as she is doing now. Her waves of dark hair frame her face as they bathe in this rare moment of peace. She giggles and he knows then and there that he’ll never tire of hearing it.
‘’Mario, we are absolutely not naming them ‘Brutus,’’ she sits up. His eyes immediately fell upon her proud bump, bare to see in the privacy of their little love nest. Their little miracle, their ‘’little pea’’ as she had recently coined them. Mario had been so eager to find out the sex of ‘’little pea’’, but he could not help but indulge his wife’s wishes of being surprised at the birth. They waited nearly ten years for their little miracle, a few more weeks wouldn’t hurt. It wouldn’t be much longer, he constantly found himself reflecting, only a few short weeks until they would welcome little pea home.
‘’What? It’s a classic. It’s a good, strong name for a strong boy,’’ Mario leaned forward, pressing his forehead against his wife’s as she placed his hand against her stomach, maneuvering it around her smooth skin until little pea’s strong legs began kicking against his palm much to their shared delight.
‘’Bold of you to assume we’re having a boy,’’ she quirked a brow in amusement, her full lips stretched into that smile that made it hard for Mario to breathe at times.
‘’You seem pretty confident we’re not,’’ he retorted, pressing a kiss to her nose.
She smiled up at her husband, taking in his features. As the years passed by his hair had begun to thin and gray hairs speckled around the sides, although that was most likely due to the stress that accompanied his job rather than age. He was still her Mario, her strong and protective, devoted husband. Her hand cupped his cheek, her thumb stroking his tan skin.
‘’After all these years. . .when will you realize I’m never wrong?’’ she sighed, leaning into his embrace as little pea’s kicks settled down into more of a flutter in her stomach.
Mario scoffed, encompassing his wife in his strong arms as they laid back down on their bed. So many years had they tried for a child, each year filled with bitter disappointment and less and less hopes of ever being a family. Just when they had begun to make their peace with the possibility of never being parents, one tiny pink ‘’+’’ sign changed their lives and filled it with newfound hope.
‘’What about Alessia?’’ she pondered, staring up at the ceiling as they curled up to one another.
A small, genuine smile graced Mario’s lips. He looked down at her, kissing her forehead. ‘’I like it. I like it a lot.’’ She smiled back, sighing as she stretched out her legs, enjoying the feel of her husband’s hands running along her skin.
‘’I have been thinking. . .of stepping down as Torricelli’s bodyguard.’’
He felt her stiffen a bit at the confession. He knew she wasn’t a fan of his line of work. She was aware of the horrors he had witnessed since joining the Torricelli clan. More than on one occasion had she awoken to him having night terrors or had to scrub his shirts until her knuckles were sore from getting crimson stains out of them. While she hated the lifestyle that came with her husband’s job, she knew it was no use to convince him to ever leave it. As hard as it was saying goodbye to him every morning, not knowing if that would be the last time she’d ever see him, she remained loyal to him and supported him to the best of her ability. And deep down she knew that he harbored immense guilt.
The guilt of introducing her, and now their unborn child, into the world of the mafia. That he felt less than for introducing her to this life of danger, despite the money he provided and the ostentatious lifestyle they were now capable of having. Two poor children growing up on the streets of Sicily with barely enough money to afford dinner some nights, now living in a mansion of their own thanks to one of Italy’s greatest mafia families. Yet, she wondered how different their lives could have been if they just left it all behind and moved to some unchartered island surrounded by beaches. Somewhere safe, where their child could just run and grow and be merry. Where her and Mario could grow old in a humble house and surrounded by their grandchildren. Just her, Mario, and little pea.
‘’You might step down, but I know you could never leave it for good. If not for the money, then for that little boy,’’ she hummed.
Little Massimo had always looked up to Mario. His own father loved him dearly and spent every second he could with the boy but work tended to pull him aside and left Mario to fill the role of the father more often than not. She knew Mario secretly thought the same of Massimo, and her heart ached that she could not have given him a child of his own to play soccer with or to tell stories of heroes and gods to. Until now, that is.
‘’He’s a good kid. . .too good for this life,’’ he thought to himself, fingers stroking the exposed skin of her back. She didn’t respond, leading him to look back down at her. They both knew it was too late, that he would carry on his father’s legacy at some point. That those sweet, innocent brown eyes would harden with age and the violence would shape him into his father and his father before him.
  ‘’You both are.’’
She heavily exhaled through her nose, hand cupping his cheek to force him to meet her eyes.
‘’We’re not going anywhere. We’re a family,’’ she firmly stated. Mario nodded, ignoring the terrible feeling that this was all a dream. A child’s prayer. That they were working with borrowed time. But he would allow himself to rest easy now, for her sake. He would will himself to enjoy this rare moment of bliss and light in a life where blood and crime filled every waking moment. He willed it with every atom of he possessed; that things would just remain as they were now.
‘’I will spend the rest of my life making it up to you. To both of you.’’
‘’I know. But there will be a day you will stop hating yourself for trying to make a better life for them than the ones we had as children,’’ she responded, pressing a kiss to his lips, smiling as little pea gave a hearty kick in agreement.
‘’I love you so much, Isabella. Mi principessa.’’
 ‘’I love you too Mario.’’
I thought that it was enough But I don't wanna say goodbye
Tumblr media
You awoke with a start, letting a deep sigh exit your mouth as quietly as you could. The strong arm wrapped around your midsection aided in evening your breaths as you took in your surroundings. The familiar scent that made up Massimo filled your being with instant relief despite the few stray tears that stained the beige pillowcase under your head. It wasn’t too often that you dreamt, and if you did it usually revolved around your loved ones. A faceless woman and Mario, scenarios that were impossible to remember but you tried desperately to create and unfold. The parents that you were robbed off. Dreaming of them helped heal you over the years, despite the heaviness in your chest. You quietly untangled yourself from the man heavily snoring beside you, admiring his peaceful state and noting that even with age he was still the most beautiful thing you had ever seen.
The sun was beginning to peek through the curtains of your bedroom, New Zealand’s winter weather providing a nice comfortable chill. Winters, as you and Massimo quickly discovered, were one of the warmest times of the year, and your favorite. The locals had been kind, quick to consider the two of you and your son ‘’whanau’’ or ‘’extended family.’’ They showed you the ins and outs of life in rural New Zealand, sharing their language and culture. In no time, your family of three felt as though this place had been your true home all along.
The blades of grass tickled your bare feet as you took your morning stroll through the clearing. The Northern part of the country was full of them, and you found that your ritualistic morning walks through the fields did wonders for your health. Nearly twenty years had passed to the day the two of you moved to this new country with nothing but two suitcases filled with clothes and your infant son. So many birthdays passed, Christmases with Massimo dressing as Saint Nicholas in red swim trunks, graduations, staying up late on New Year’s Eve and waking up early to take the kids to school, all of it.
You would think of these moments along with other random things as your bare feet felt the cool earth beneath you. You would think of Massimo, who was still as handsome as the day you met him. Older, but still divine in his own right, gray hairs gracing his beard and atop his head. Fine lines by the corner of his light brown eyes from so many years of happiness and laughter. You also thought of your children.
Your son would be visiting you two for Christmas break. Shit, you hoped Massimo would find the note you left instructing him to take the chicken out of the freezer for the special dinner tonight. Apparently y/s/n was bringing a girl he met at university and it was of the upmost importance that you and Massimo did not ‘’totally embarrass him’’ by bringing out the baby albums. You grinned at the thought of showing his girlfriend a particular picture of a six-year-old y/s/n mooning the camera because his father had not allowed him a second slice of pie.
Having your daughter had been easier, admittedly. By the time you fell pregnant with y/d/n the three of you had set roots down in your home. Y/s/n was in school and old enough to help out with his baby sister and you and Massimo had settled into comfortable careers and your neighbors acted as adopted grandparents to your children. She was a spitting image of you, but she had her father’s pride that often served as the source of numerous insignificant fights between the two. Y/s/n resembled a perfect blend of his parents but had developed your reserved and empathetic nature while y/d/n could bring the former boss of the Torricelli clan to his knees with one glare. . .most of the time.
Other times your mind drifted to things that needed to be done around the house, of the ocean, of the handful of genuine friends your little family had made over the years. Years of therapy and the occasional call with your therapist allowed you to also reflect on the past without the tight restraints of anxiety and fear restricting your breathing. Instead, you reflected on happier times. Like the way Mario would sigh in content after each sip of his black coffee. Or the rose garden that you adored so much. Or even as a child the way your pseudo-parents laughed as you ran along the shore, jumping over waves and feeling the sand between your toes.
You found yourself constantly repeating the process of making peace with the past. How the horror and the beauty of it all could both coexist and live in your memories. The good and the bad could both exist and remain true, and the guilt did not have to plague your being as it had done so in your youth. The ghosts of the past no longer filled you with dread but would rather greet you and walk alongside you like old friends. That’s the thing about dealing with ghosts, they could only hold power over you if allowed them to.
You sat down on a mossy log, sighing as you took in the smell of sea salt and fresh grass. Occasionally a few Kaimanawa horses would cautiously graze the fields, only to quickly gallop away as if they had never been there, much like the ghosts of your past.
Y/d/n would be running late for dinner, as she had begun volunteering at a local retirement center between graduating high school and making the move down South for college. Medical school was clear in her future, while her older brother preferred studying World History to become a professor one day. Admittedly, both Massimo and you had full hearts that swelled with pride at your two children who grew up exactly the way the two of you had desperately hoped for; normal. A peaceful smile graced your lips, hands brushing away a few strands of hair that danced in the wind.
‘’You’re not very inconspicuous, dear,’’ you called out, only to be greeted by a pair of strong arms wrapping around your shoulders and lips pressed against your temple.
‘’Yeah, well once you’ve been married for 19 years, you tend to abandon being inconspicuous,’’ Massimo retorted, coaxing a playful scoff from you. You had some faded love bites from the other night that would greatly argue against that sentiment. The two of you had gotten older, but the sexual appetite seemingly only increased with age. You glanced down at the ring that had been resting on your left hand, the sparkle of the diamond would always draw attention in the sunlight. The two of you rested in comfortable silence, laying your head against his shoulder as you both watched the way the sun bounced off the turquoise waves.
‘’Your son is bringing a girl home for dinner tonight,’’ you murmured.
‘’I just got off the phone with him, apparently it’s serious,’’ Massimo responded, a shadow of a smirk on his face and playful wiggle of his dark brows led you to playfully swat at his chest.
‘’Be nice, he’s nervous. I’m sure you can attempt to remember when we were young and you’d get flustered around me.’’
‘’Remember? Principessa, to this day you still take my breath away.’’
‘’Yes because whenever I try to cook the house nearly always bursts into flames,’’ you joked, earning a deep laugh from your husband, his chest vibrating against the side of your face.
‘’Y/d/n will be late again, I’m sure. She got that trait from you,’’ you added, squealing as he jokingly pinched your thigh.
‘’I wasn’t the one who took her sweet time getting to the hospital.’’
You grinned at the memory. So much laughter. So many wonderful moments. A stark contrast as to how the two of you had met. Almost comically different from where you two began. Life had just been so easy following the fire, following the move here. Like everything just fell into place the moment you got out of Italy.
Both of your wedding bands glistened in the sun as the sounds of the waves echoed throughout the crisp air.
‘’Are you happy?’’ you asked, voice barely above a whisper.
Massimo nodded, his head, knowing that your question did not mean if he was happy simply in this moment.
 ‘’I’m happy. . .you happy?’’
Happy. The word you had been chasing and dancing with your whole lives. The word you wanted so desperately to fill your children’s lives with, and you both knew you had succeeded when they thought their parents were a normal, boring middle-aged couple who had met somewhere in Europe and moved to New Zealand for a better life. You succeeded in concealing the past and all of its’ demons. A pandora’s box of secrets and violence, locked away but never forgotten. You both raised wonderful children who were beginning to take on the world and make it their own. The two of you were so beautiful together, Massimo was such a devoted father.
He was your best friend; you had realized at some point early on in your marriage. Friendship, it turned out, had been the basis for your relationship. Not lust. Not greed. Not vengeance. Friendship. The two of you had been given a life of lies and crime at birth, but in one another found something worth growing old for and worth leaving it all behind.
Both of you defeated the odds and made a home for yourselves and a blissful marriage filled with love and passion and patience. How could you simply limit what you were feeling to just one simple, but powerful word? ‘’Happy.’’ Neither of you were all that experienced in happiness, prior to having your children of course. Or truth. Or normalcy.
You analyzed Massimo’s face as he broke his gaze from the ocean to stare down at you. The face you woke up next to every morning and kissed before falling asleep at night. The one person who loved you without question as equitably as you loved them. Your Massimo. A soft smile found its’ way back home to your face as you leaned in to meet your husband in a kiss. Maybe, just for him, you could allow yourself to ease into the simple, powerful world.
 ‘’I’m happy.’’
Tumblr media
And I think you should know That I won't let it go
Y/d/n sighed as she made her way down the halls, ready to check out for the day. Untying her thick hair from the tight pony tail, she sighed and rubbed at the stiffness in her neck. She knew her parents would tease her relentlessly about her ‘’impeccable timing’’ at the dinner table later on. She still had to change clothes and shoes and at least try to look presentable for her brother and his new beau. She groaned, readying herself for the night ahead.
‘’Alessia?’’ a soft-spoken voice called out, making her tense up and twirl around with furrowed brows. Was one of her mother’s friends here?
‘’Ma’am?’’ she questioned, entering the room of one of the many residents. An elderly woman, probably entering her mid-eighties sat in a bed, her white hair pulled into a tight bun.
‘’A-Alessia? Is it you?’’ her meek voice called out, hands shakily reaching towards her.
‘’No ma’am, I’m y/d/n,’’ she smiled down at the woman, taking one of her hands with both of her own in an attempt to comfort her.
‘’Y-you look so familiar,’’ the old woman whispered, eyes squinting only slightly as she gazed into the young woman’s eyes. ‘’You remind me so much. . .I-I lost her, I don’t know where she went,’’ her sad eyes conveyed years of pain. Honey brown eyes, similar to her own shiny with unshed tears.
Y/d/n smiled sadly, stroking the older woman’s hands and listening with an empathetic ear. Alessia wasn’t a common name around these parts, which left y/d/n feeling confused and slightly unsettled as she comforted the elderly woman who, although never having met her, felt. . .different. As though she had known her without knowing her.
 ‘’Who did you lose?’’
‘’My daughter. . .she was so tiny. Little pea.’’
The older woman sighed, shaking her head and laying back down into the crisp white sheets, running a shaky hand down her face as she collected her thoughts.
‘’If you’d like, I can come by tomorrow and visit you? I’d love to be friends and get to know you more,’’ y/d/n offered, earning a small smile from the woman.
 ‘’Thank you, Alessia.’’
‘’My name is y/d/n, ma’am.’’ The older woman smiled, settling back into her bed before resting her eyes, trying to dismiss a feeling of uncertainty brewing in the back of her mind.
 ‘’My name is Isabella.’’
Y/d/n smiled kindly, nodding her head as she tried to search the archives of her young mind. Who was she? Why did she look so familiar?
 ‘’I’ll be back tomorrow, Isabella.’’
The elder woman offered a sad smile, but a spark of hope illuminated her honey brown eyes.
 ‘’You will?’’
She was already halfway out of the room, turning back to give a grin that showcased the dimple on the left-hand side of her cheek.
‘’For you, a thousand times over.’’
It was like a million times I'm singing a lullaby And I think you should know That I won't let it go
  THE END. . .

Corpse Husband x Reader (Female)
Warnings: Swearing
Genre: Fluff, Humor, RPF (Real Person Fic)
Summary: Corpse recounts the time he first met his now best friend who too has been gifted with a deep voice.
Requested by two Anons. This fic is a mash up of two very similar requests I got from an unnamed Anon and 🖤🥀 Anon, so a big thank you to the both of you for sending in your requests! I’m really sorry to be posting your requested fic so late but I hope the final product is gonna make the wait you had to endure worth it! If you come across it and read it, I hope you enjoy it! Love, Vy ❤
“Yeah, yeah ok, I know.“ I can’t help but playfully roll my eyes at the comments that are flooding in, “Before any more people address it - even though it’s only been five minutes - I’m gonna address it myself: I apologize for the absence of the guest I promised would accompany me on this stream. She made the choice to party until late - or should I say early - and is currently probably asleep. And...I just don’t have the heart to wake her.“
In all honesty, all the blame should fall on Y/N’s lack of responsibility but I could never say such a thing - she rarely let’s herself loose and allows herself to have fun so there’s no way I’m gonna hold this one instance against her. Quite the contrary actually: I hope she starts going out and having fun more frequently cause really deserves it. She’s a super hardworking girl, studying college and working her ass off simultaneously.
“For those of you who don’t know who I’m referring to: the girl in question is Y/N, aka Jumpscaretastic, a horror games oriented streamer. She was supposed to join me for this freaky journey but...yeah I’ll have to endure it on my own because fuck me.“ I take a look at my chat again, deciding to keep this interaction with my viewers going for a bit longer before I start the game. I may be stalling but you sure as hell won’t hear me admit it. The game may be terrifying as hell - I have no doubt it is - but I doubt it would affect me so much if Y/N was here.  My eyebrows furrow automatically at the sight of one specific question that I’ve been getting asked quite a lot recently and I’ve been doing my best to avoid it cause the idea - to me, at least - is so messed up. Why, we’ll get into that later. “No- ok, this is the first and last time I’ll be addressing this wild assumption, you guys, so listen carefully. Y/N and I are by no means related. I’m not related to every deep-voiced person on this planet, just FYI.“ Speaking of Y/N’s deep voice which I’ve gotten so accustomed to hearing, I can’t help but recall the first interaction the two of us had when she got invited by Toast for a game of Among Us with us when Felix canceled on us due to technical difficulties. “I may not be related to her but she really put into perspective how other people feel and react when they hear my voice. I, honestly speaking was astonished by hers.“
A few months ago
“Ok guys, since Felix texted me about an hour ago, saying he won’t be able to make it, I invited a friend of mine so I hope that’s ok with you.“ Toast announces when the majority of us have accumulated in the lobby.
“Yeah, all cool. An introduction to them would be nice though.“ Charlie says, tampering with his avatar’s appearance on the in-game laptop.
“Oh, I’m sure she can do that herself.” He says with a bit of a chuckle, “Y/N?“
“I’m here, I’m here.“
My gaze moves from my chat to the monitor displaying the game in an instant as though it would reveal to me who the owner of this unfamiliar voice that just travelled through my headphones is. You know how my voice is considerably deep, yeah well this girl’s voice is six feet below that.  My eyes have widened without me even noticing as I hurry to unmute myself despite being a little late to the reaction party which already consists of a ton of ‘OMG’s and “WHOA”s from the rest of the people in the call. Not one of them, however, considers to question the authenticity of the voice.
“Was that a voice changer or something?“ I say, my eyebrows shooting up when I hear the laugh I receive in response to the question - a sound so deep but simultaneously sweet and girly it messes with my head.
“I wish I kept count so I could tell you which number on the list of people who’ve asked me that you fall under.“ The girl, Y/N replies, “But for the record no, it’s not a voice changer.“
Realizing how hypocritical this question probably seems coming from me, I decide to believe her - probably cause she gets nothing if she lies anyways. “Oh, so this is how it feels hearing my voice for the first time, huh?“ I say, slowly nodding my head, still in slight disbelief.
“Yeah, meeting her was quite rattling - in the best way possible though.“ I say, fixating myself back in reality following the little trip back in time to the day Y/N and I met. “She’s now one of my best friends so that should tell you enough.“
It goes without saying that, since she’s my best friend, I know her quite well. That being said, with the detailed knowledge I have on her, I can guess she’s gonna be in for a massive hangover when she wakes up. I just hope she texts me when she does so I can make sure she’s at least semi-functional. Just then, my phone buzzes with a message. Much to my shock, it’s a message from Y/N. Truth be told, I didn’t expect her to be up for another hour or two or three but here she is, sending a simple text that reads:
“My head’s pounding like a drum mid rock n’ roll concert“
There are no emojis accompanying the message, suggesting she’s deadly serious and in quite a bit of pain. Ok, I won’t sugarcoat it - she’s in a fuck-load of pain right now.
“The Sleeping Beauty has awaken and is complaining about a headache, just in case you were wondering.“ I chuckle seemingly nonchalantly as I silently contemplate whether to text her back or call her instead. Who’s gonna know better than my viewers, after all... “You guys think I should call her? Or would that annoy her?“ I ask, furrowing my brows at the chat as I see different responses coming in.
Meh, fuck it -  I think to myself, already taking my phone to call Y/N when the support of my viewers floods in as well.
She picks up after two rings, letting out a sound that sets the tone for the discomfort she’s in.
“Hello to you too.“ I say, putting the call on speaker so my mic can pick up her responses. “Would you please rate the pain you’re in right now on a scale 1-10?“
“A hundred.“ Her strained, raspy and deeper than usual voice comes through, stealing a chuckle from me, “I’m hungover and still a bit drunk. Like, how does that even work?“
“The morning after is a straight-up bitch. Welcome to the world of bad decisions.“ I tell her compassionately, low-key wishing I could go over to her place and provide her with at least a tiny bit of comfort, as much as I can.
“Yeah...“ she sighs halfway dramatically, “Anyhow, we usually text around this time, what’s up with the call?“
“Just wanted to make sure my best-girl wasn’t really dying, you know. Who am I supposed to annoy in Among Us if you’re not there, after all?” I raise my brow and, although she can’t see me, I bet she can probably guess I’m doing that.
“Whatever...“ The same way I can imagine her rolling her eyes while smiling as she said that, “Tell me this, am I wrong or was I supposed to be on your stream today?“
I barely manage to hold in my laughter at the question, “Uh, yeah you were, but...” she doesn’t let me finish my sentence, instead cuts me of:
“Oh shit, I’m so sorry, Corpse! I totally forgot. Believe me, if I could roll my ass out of bed I’d hop in but I really can’t. Unless you want me to be a bore for an hour and a half, that is.“
“For starters, you could never be a bore to me.“ I say matter-of-factly, “And for seconds, you’re kinda on the stream anyway...“
“Come again?“ She cuts me off yet again, “You’re calling me mid-stream? If so, hey everyone! Sorry I couldn’t join, I promise to make it up to both you and Corpse soon.“ A yawn comes from her end before she continues, “As of now, I think I’ll go back to sleep.“
“Alright, alright. I’ll call you again later to make sure you’re still alive. Sleep tight.“ I tell her, already hovering my thumb over the ‘Hang up‘ button.
“Won’t let the hangover bite.“ She slurs/murmurs, stealing my opportunity to end the call cause she does it herself.
I stare at my phone for a second, finally becoming aware of the grin that has spread across my face. Eventually, I address my viewers once again, “There you have it, guys. Technically, you can give her a pass for answering the call, especially in her current state, so let’s all agree to not hold this against her, cool?“
A brief look at my chat shows me the ton of fluffy comments that are coming in as a reaction to the interaction Y/N and I just had. One, however, sticks out especially. It reads: ‘You like her or smt?’
“Do I like Y/N?“ I read the comment out loud, a smirk coming across my face, “Of course I do. She’s a darling.“ If I had a webcam on I’d look straight into the lens and wink. That’s probably spark more than enough rumors, but at the very least they wouldn’t be wrong. “I’ve stalled enough, Outlast is waiting.“ I announce, finally starting the game. After all, it cannot be scarier than the conspiracies my fans could come up with. I get it though - from their perspective, we’re already the perfect couple; from my perspective we’re impossible because from Y/N’s perspective we’re best friends.
Ain’t that how it always goes?

Chapter One - Muddy Waters
Sokovia, 11 years ago.
You ran to catch up with one of the boys who was running away from you.
You didn't know his name, but you think he lived in the apartment below you, and since everyone always played together, and there were many children, you didn't know everyone's name. The only thing you really needed to know was who you had to pick up.
"Parshivets!" You heard your brother's voice shout through the window into the area where you were. "Come to dinner!"
"I'm kidding, bratan" You retorted as you stopped running and looked up, gesturing to your apartment window.
"Come up now, papa is telling you to!" Your brother ordered before sticking his head inside again.
Grumbling angrily, you waved goodbye to the other children.
When you reached your floor, you saw the Maximoff twins coming out of their apartment, and smiled at Pietro who noticed you from down the hall.
You hoped that your father would let you play with them later.
//-//
There was dust covering your eyes and nose.
You coughed, running your hand over your face, trying to understand what was happening around you, the sound of sirens and explosions muffled by the ringing in your ear.
"Papa?" You called out with hoarseness in your voice, still somewhat aroused. You blinked and realized that what was your room was now just a pile of rubble.
Feeling a sharp pain in your torso, you looked down, letting out a surprised exclamation at the iron wedged in your belly. You whimpered in pain, trying to move. "Papa." You called out again, completely confused and frightened.
You heard voices in the distance, and sounds on the rocks, but your eyes began to heavy again. Maybe you were going to fall asleep, and maybe sleep would take the pain away, so you closed your eyes.
//-//
"She needs medical assistance." A male voice sounded muffled in your ears. You blinked in confusion, the sky above you as something moved below. You were being carried.
"We have vacancies in district twelve." Said someone on the other side, you tried to look, but your whole body ached and you grumbled. The noise attracted the attention of the soldier carrying you on the stretcher, and he looked at you tenderly.
"Don't worry, kid." He spoke. "We found you in time. You are safe."
You felt your throat dry, and you wanted to ask for water, but you were too weak to speak.
"Papa." It was the only thing you could mumble before everything went dark again.
//-//
When you awoke again, you had a large white bandage around your waist, and the pain had subsided greatly. You were in one of the medical tents that you had seen once in the distance when you ran past the area where the soldiers were staying.
You looked around, frightened and confused, trying to understand what had happened. There was a man in a black suit walking around the stretchers, a notepad in his hands.
"Another casualty." He comments as he scribbles something on the sheet after looking at the girl lying a few beds ahead of his. You felt your stomach turn when you realized she wasn't actually asleep the second after. "It's already twenty-four."
The nurse next to him grumbled in agreement, and then she looked forward and noticed you awake, a gentle smile filling her expression as she turned away from the man to walk over to you.
You drank all the water she served you, and accepted the hug she gave you after telling you that your father and brother did not survive the attack. The man in black tried to reassure you that the orphanage in the district was the best in Sokovia, but you kept crying.
//-//
You stood still with your hands behind your back while the nurse measured your height.
"Look how well behaved you are." She comments with a smile, making you smile as well. She takes a few notes on the placard in front of you and then stoops down to your height. "Are you ready to join the other children?"
You bite the inside of your cheek, denying with your head. The nurse tilts her head to the side slightly.
"You don't have to be afraid." She says. "You're a big girl now, aren't you?"
"Yes, ma'am." You reply.
"Then why are you scared?"
You shrug, looking down. The nurse sighs lightly, looking toward the door. You know that the children who have already been evaluated are outside the hospital, waiting for the bus from the orphanage.
"I miss my brother." You mumble softly next, causing the woman to glare at you. "He was better at playing than I was. And he always introduced me to the other children."
"You're going to have a lot of brothers now." It was the best thing the woman could think to say, and you nodded in understanding, ignoring the urge to cry. She handed you a lollipop on the way out and told you to behave. You said you would, but your fingers were crossed behind your back.
//-//
The orphanage was a dirty, dark place. The building was old and made strange noises if you stepped in certain places. And there were many children.
The war in Sokovia had left many marks on their country, and it was noticeable in places like this.
You were going to share the north dormitory with fifteen other children, and you had several rules to follow in your new home. The orphanage sisters repeated the guidelines all the way to the building as you walked down the bus corridor. You talked to no one along the way, your attention on the landscape visible through the window.
When you arrived, and were taken to your rooms to put on your uniforms and get ready for dinner and to be assigned the tasks you had started in the morning, you followed obediently, without really being present in the environment. Everything seemed a bit stuffy.
//-//
You stopped sweeping when the sound of voices caught your attention. And well, they caught the attention of all the other girls who were on the same shift as you, because they all looked away, and rushed to the windows to look out. You imitated the movement, and you could see outside a small circle of children forming in the backyard. It was a fight.
Your classmates ran outside, and you sighed, figuring that you weren't going to finish sweeping by yourself, so you'd better join them.
When you reached the small mess, you observed two boys pushing each other in the circle, exchanging insults, but not really hitting each other. The other orphans watched the scene curiously, waiting for the fight to escalate. You hoped this wouldn't happen, since the taller boy was accompanied by three others.
"You're a cheater, aren't you Maximoff?" Accused the blond boy with irritation. You blinked in surprise as you recognized the smaller boy. Your former neighbor, Pietro.
"And you're a bad loser, Sidorov." Retorted the other boy taking a step back to avoid the blond's hands.
"I'm not a loser, cheater." Sidorov thundered, lunging forward again and pushing Pietro to the ground.
You and the small crowd held your breath. The blond boy stepped forward again and hit Pietro in the nose.
Sidorov's friends laughed and Pietro grabbed the blond by the legs, knocking him to the ground. As they rolled in the dirt, the orphans began to shout "borot'sya" and you looked around. Your gaze caught Wanda Maximoff moving through the crowd and advancing toward her brother.
One of Sidorov's friends held her by the arms and she shouted at them to stop fighting. You bit your lip, feeling your heart race. You weren't friends with the twins, and you had no desire to get into a fight that wasn't yours. But they were the most familiar thing around at the moment, so your feet were moving.
You broke through the crowd and grabbed the garden hose, running toward the direction of the fight again. Sidorov was mounted on Pietro having managed to immobilize him, but before he could land the punch, you wrapped the hose around his neck and pulled him backward.
As he let out an exclamation of pain and surprise and fell backwards, trying to shake off the grip, you pulled Pietro off the ground.
"You could have killed me, girl!" gasped the boy on the ground with hatred in his eyes, their friends let go of Wanda to advance against you and Pietro, but someone shouted that the nuns were coming and you grabbed Pietro and Wanda's hand, pulling them to run away with you.
//-//
Breathing hard, you propped your hands on your knee.
"Did we lose them?" Pietro asked just as breathless as you. Wanda looked back, equally tired from the race.
"Yes." She replied as she looked around.
"Great." You grumbled standing up properly. You cleared your throat and shifted your weight between your feet, not knowing exactly what to say next. Pietro approached you, extending his hand.
"Thanks for helping me out back there." He says with a smile. You ignore his hand to raise your finger toward the bruise on his left eye, but you don't touch your face, leaving your finger in the air pointing toward the wound.
"You look like a badass now." You tease, causing the boy to laugh with flushed cheeks. "It's better than your dorky face at least."
"Hey." He retorts with false offense, still smiling. You look at Wanda next, and she is already looking at you curiously.
"You are Y/N." Wanda says. "You lived in the apartment downstairs."
Looking away, you mutter in agreement.
"We didn't know that other people survived the collapse." Pietro comments next, and you nod.
"Well, here we are." You say with irony, causing Wanda and Pietro to frown. Clearing your throat, you take a deep breath. "I'm sorry. I don't like to talk about it."
"It's okay, neither do I." Wanda commented and you gave her a short smile.
"We should get back." You say next, and the twins nod in agreement.
You walk ahead, kicking up a few rocks on the way, looking back a few times to see if they are still behind you.
They are.

Sokovia, ten years ago.
"Time to wake up little brats"
You grumbled in irritation as you heard the voice of the nursemaid, then the shrill noise of the bell. Gingerly rummaging in your covers, you got out of bed, equally as all your dorm mates.
"Today the governor will visit the orphanage and I expect you to be on your best behavior, or know that you will be punished if you embarrass Father Novikov." Warned Madame Ivanov, the housekeeper of the Sokovia Municipal Orphanage, or your home since the apartment complex where you lived was destroyed when a bomb fell on the structure during one of the civil war conflicts. "This will be my only warning to you, Vrediteli, I will take special care of those who do not behave."
Madama Ivanov looked directly at you, and you clenched your jaw, ignoring the urge to roll your eyes.
"Bath and breakfast." She ordered next. "And after chores, everyone properly dressed in the main courtyard."
Your colleagues moved first than you as soon as Madame left the room. You sighed, sitting up in bed. You hadn't slept very well the night before, dreaming of explosions again. But you didn't have time to think about it, and yawning, you got up again, heading toward the bathrooms.
//-//
You were covered from head to toe in mud. Madame Ivanov and Madame Pavlova looked at you wide-eyed, as did the rest of the room, and you swallowed hard. The room was completely silent, no one ventured to say anything. The perfectly aligned suit of the governor of Sokovia, now with a dark mud stain on his chest.
"Oh, look at this." The man spoke next, you remained static, staring at him wide-eyed. He chuckled, and you almost relaxed. Then a loud slap hit your face and you gasped in pain and surprise. "Do you have any idea how much that suit cost me, pest?" He asked between teeth, and you felt your stomach turn in anger. The man threatened to advance toward you again, and you didn't hesitate to punch him in the balls, drawing an angry exclamation from him and shocked sighs from all your colleagues.
"Don't ever touch me again, svin'ya" You retorted angrily before running away, intending to escape the punishment of the sisters who were sure to catch up with you eventually.
When you stopped running, you were many blocks from the orphanage, a spot below your ribs hurting badly. The mud dried against your skin and you grunted in disgust at the sensation.
Changing the direction of your steps, you snuck through the alleyways of the city, ignoring the looks of disapproval and curiosity people cast at the sight of a ten-year-old covered in mud in the outlying part of town.
You reached the small laundromat in the mall a few minutes later, and snuck into the northern outer entrance, trying not to be seen by the employees as you reached one of the tanks. Fortunately it was lunchtime, and the place was quite empty. You cleared your throat as you reached one of the windows, and the noise attracted the attention of the girl inside, distracted by the dirty fabrics in her hands.
"Damn it, you' scare the shit out of me!" Wanda exclaimed to you, and you laughed expectantly. She opened the window latch next, and you jumped in. "Why are you covered in mud? And why are you here?"
You shrugged, taking off your T-shirt and pants. Wanda hurried to fill a bucket of water as you walked over to one of the empty faucets, leaning over to wash your face.
Clean, you sighed.
"Sorry for showing up unannounced." You ask remembering Wanda's work rules. She would wake up earlier than you, and go to work in the laundry while you and Pietro would take any service you could get since steady jobs like Wanda's were very difficult. And since labor laws didn't apply to children, you and Pietro took Wanda's lunch whenever possible, and helped her wash clothes so she wouldn't be so tired. The rule was always to let her know because her boss couldn't find out about it.
"No problem." She retorts as she looks around for dry clothes for you. "But will you tell me what happened?"
You bite the inside of your cheeks, ducking your head.
"I was fighting." You grumbled and Wanda stopped the motion of reaching for a t-shirt in the upstairs closet, turning to you next with a worried look.
"Again, devochka?" She asked as she approached and used her hand to gently lift your chin up, searching your face for any sign of injury. Without the mud, the purple in your left eye was visible.
"Prostite, Wanda." You muttered in shame, but Wanda sighed shaking her head.
"Why were you fighting?"
You shrugged and Wanda bit her lips. "I tried to kick Nikolai but he shoved me in the mud, and punched me in the face. So I did as you taught me and ran. Only I ended up bumping into the governor."
Wanda's eyes widen at the story.
"So?"
You ducked your head again.
"He slapped me in the face." You say. "And I punched him in the balls."
Wanda blinked in surprise at the confession, and then laughed. You widened your eyes, surprised that she wasn't angry, and she shook her head with amusement, ruffling your hair.
"You've gone crazy." She commented. "The sisters are going to put you in charge of cleaning the bathrooms for the whole month."
You shrugged again, and Wanda walked away, going back to looking for a set of clothes for you.
"Where's Pietro?" She asked as she handed you a set of gray clothes that were probably laundry uniforms that got too old to wear.
"Gathering coal for Mr. Sidorov." You replied as you dressed. Wanda grumbled in understanding as she dipped your muddy clothes into the water.
"I'll bring your clothes to you when I'm done." She comments as she turns to you again, and you nod in agreement hurrying to climb in the window.
"Hey, Wanda." You call out before leaving, glancing at the girl as you lean on the window. "I'll bring you some candy. In thanks." You say with a smile, and don't wait for a reply, turning around.

Oh-- I really really -really- liked your wolf hybrid Bakugou and-- if you don't mind, can you do one on Kirishima? Just the general headcanons, if this is too bothersome then you can ignore this once again- thank you
Just general headcanons you say? Okay, I had this written 2k words in before I got this ask and now it's at... ehem, let me take a deep breath for this;
Word count: 3.5k 💀 [of HCs 💀💀💀]
Why do I keep doing this to myself aksdjkd I love Kiri so much, my god! Thanks for the ask!! 💗
[ Masterlist ]
Hybrid!AU Kirishima Eijirou HCs
Tumblr media
× i mentioned him as a dog hybrid and we're sticking with it because it just feels right, yano? anyway!
× you found out about how the new hybrid shelter in your city helped bust a fighting ring
× which was horrifying to think about
× one of your friends explained the process to you and you were definitely interested in helping someone out
× shelters were still underfunded and didn't provide much to help the hybrids adapt to society
× so you found yourself in front of the shelter without a plan
× just a dream and a spare couch that could thankfully convert into a bed
× before you could chicken out you stormed through the doors like a mad person, catching the attention of the guards and the front desk man
× it surprised you how disinterested they were though; were they seriously the people that dismantled a whole illegal fighting ring?
× they called a sweet old lady to accompany you
× when you explained your situation her eyes sparkled, looking you up and down and nodding her head
× she took you through some hallways, showing you around the precinct, questioning you about what type of hybrid you'd want
× to which you honestly didn't know how to respond, like anyone you could help????
× it kinda pissed you off how she spoke about the hybrids like they were pets, suggesting you'd get a kitty or a bunny, since [her words] they were low maintenance
× is this really a good shelter?
× you looked around, finding prison like cells left and right, some with people that looked at you curiously, some covering from your glance
× they were locked in...
× some growling could be heard far away but the woman shook her head at you, disapproving gaze turned to the side as she took you further into the building
× another room, this time cells were bigger, a few occupied, yet covered from you, indiferent and uninterested
× a man was sitting on the edge of the bed, hands in his hair
× "Kirishima, boy, get up to greet someone"
× his red eyes snapped up, whatever he was thinking about slowly forgotten
× he blinked curiously as you hugged your frame, feeling uncomfortable, even ashamed to be there
× but a sweet smile took over his features
× "Hey! I'm Kirishima Eijirou!"
× it's really all it took for you to grow fond of him; he got up and came closer to the entrance of the cell and introduced himself in such easy-going manner you forgot about everything and anything
× he calmed you with his presence, even if it was very disheveled, with old ripped clothes and hair messy, painted red with obvious dark roots showing
× he had a black fluffy tail waving slowly behind him too
× you introduce yourself with his encouragement and mumbled how you wanted to help someone out today
× he just smiled at you, taking you in
× let me tell you something about dog hybrids: they can sense emotions and intentions so Kiri would be a very good judge of character and he really, genuinely took a liking on you
× the problem is how the fuck do you say out loud that you wanted to help him out
× because you sure as hell weren't going to say you'd adopt him; he's not a child? we're talking about a grown ass man here? literally looked like 6'4ft/1.95m?????
× it was so shameful, your gut turned as you cursed society and he sensed it, expression changing, falling a little as he saw you look very out of place
× "Hey, hey, everything's gonna be fine!" he said
× he told YOU that
× instead of YOU telling HIM those words;;; you almost burst into ugly crying, forgetting about everything else, your minuscule problems or shame or whatever and just nodded at him
× "Would you like to come home with me, Kirishima?" you said, ignoring the happy clapping the old lady was doing, watching carefully how his expression, clear as water, switched from easy-going and reassuring to shocked then hopeful
× "I'd like that" he breathed out "—a lot."
× as you went out the lady was telling him it was a shame they separated his group of friends, something about being sent to different shelters, how he had to be a good boy, to behave, yada-yada and seriously;;; he was taking it so lightheartedly, as if he was so used to this behavior or even was thankful for it?
× it was starting to get annoying, specially when they gave you a collar for him, like no fucking thanks, but you'd take care of it later
× since it was very random and unplanned, you were making mental gymnastics to figure out what to get and what to do first, like clothes, food—
× journey home was pleasant as he walked close to you, asking you questions about yourself with a gentle smile on his features
× meanwhile people got out of both your ways because he was intimidating and big and large but his smile screamed sunshine
× all while he never really mentioned anything about himself
× you made a point to ask him if he was hungry, to grab a quick bite at any restaurant you could get at then go buy some clothes and necessities
× you were so casual and this guy was so shocked
× i swear, looks at you blinking stupidly then ✨beams✨
× spoiler alert; big boy was hungry
× it didn't matter honestly, just seeing him eat without a worry [even if everyone at the restaurant was wary of him but got a stink eye from you] was a relief
× since you answered his questions about you, you decided to ask some about him; you were going to be roomies soon so might as well get to know each other
× shocked again
× stops mid-bite when you ask him something and stares wide-eyed
× doesn't answer but you can see he wants to and you're confused??
× "did I—... did I say something wrong?" you'd press, scared you'd spook him away or something
× he just gulps down and looks ashamed
× casually tells you they've been told at the shelter owners don't care about them
× 🙃 say what now bby?
× he kinda starts apologizing because he understands why you wouldn't wanna know and you put your hand on his; kinda mutes him for a second
× "Kirishima, we're gonna live together and hopefully be friends in the process, right? I'd like to know about you, as much as you're willing to tell me"
× [ falls in love right then and there ]
× he's met humans before, many actually—
× even in the short weeks he's been at the shelter he's seen people come and go and none talked to him like you did
× stares with stars in his eyes and chuckles awkwardly, blush on his face
× "You're really nice, [Y/N]" he said before eagerly answering your questions; course, it leaves you confused lmfao but you brush past it
× okay! shopping next, long story short it was very hard to find hybrid clothes for his size so you pick to change human clothes and adjust them for him
× as you again mention this stuff casually he's just awestruck
× when you got home, bags in hand, you were explaining to him how you really didn't have much; you were working to get a promotion soon but for now you had a couch that could open up into a very comfy bed, which he assured you it was enough
× you were lowkey unsure if he fit it because like i mentioned, big boi is big
× he does! so that's a relief but you started considering giving him your bed; you mostly fell asleep on the couch anyway and to be fair, it was really comfortable and you mention it as he looks around
× his head snaps at you, wide eyed, yet does not talk
× so you ramble bc that's something fun to do! "I mean I went to the shelter without a plan and uh, I want you to feel as comfortable as possible and maybe the bed is a better fit and—"
× Kirishima Eijirou sees: 💕💞💕💞💕💞💕
× has never been treated like this, like he's an... equal... something he'll take months to share with you, but we're getting ahead of ourselves
× the thing is this boy will fall pretty hard pretty fast, but will definitely take time to make a move
× bc he is respectful
× so he thanks you for the offer and tells you it's probably the best place he slept in all his life
× can your heart stop breaking for him? i mean it's a good couch but it's no luxury hotel bed???
× [ we need to pause, OP made herself sad ]
× ok, so he's really helpful around the house, and he knows how to cook!
× takes no time to talk about his friends, special his best friend that cooked for everyone at the fighting ring and forced them all to help and that's how he was pretty decent at cooking himself
× wasn't the best though, but followed instructions like a boss
× he lives for your compliments
× literally his tail wiggles with no shame
× seriously;; tell him he did a good job even at the dumbest thing and—
× puffs chest
× wiggle-wiggle
× "Thanks!"
× 🥺💕💞 make him stop, he's so cute
× did i mention he has like floppy black ears? Omg his earsssssssssshnnngggggggggg
× because they move whenever he walks and they're mesmerizing
× and one day that you're observing them for science [not because your heart was like 💘pom-pom💘] you noticed his roots
× remember when your heart broke for him? hah, have some more because as you asked him, he started telling you that he was pushed into dying his hair red for the spectacle, diversity and what-not
× reassured you he grew to love it now, being part of who he is
× also gets a little bit shy when adding he wouldn't want to change the color in hopes of finding his friends someday and for him to be easily recognizable
× you bought him hair dye that same day
× WHICH! apart from gaining extra 🥺💕💞 from him, it created a nice routine between you two!!
× you offered to dye his hair and it was such a great time; he made you laugh, conversation going just as easy whenever you talked, you got to know each other a little bit more and—
× heh
× at the end, after applying all the red hair dye, you massaged his scalp gently
× guess who melts in your hands? yes, giant ass dog-man melts into a puddle under your hands and it's the cutest fucking thing you've ever seen
× I'm serious, he sighs and leans into your gloved hands with zero [0] shame, eyes closed and peaceful expression on his features apart from a small smile
× you tease him and he laughs it off, but promise him you'd give him head scratches when he was finished with the dye, washed off and hair dry
× and you better deliver
× "Don't think I forgot!" he'd say as he'd hop on his make-shift bed in the living room by your side, tail moving from side to side
× as you start playing with his locks, he falls into your lap and starts snoring
× move an inch and he opens his eyes to look at you confused
× puppy eyes questioning you if you're leaving 🥺
× yep, you fall asleep together
× you point out to yourself that those puppy eyes will be the death of you
× he's a touchy guy, okay? since he's been touchy with you from the very start you never questioned it, even read on the internet that many hybrids descended from house pets need physical affection, like hugs, pats, scratches, all the bag, so it wasn't a big deal for you
× except it was a big deal because he's been around for a month and you're already catching feelings and that's bad because you did not bring him there to fall for him but to help him start a new life and—
× oh my god, what if he thought you were one of those people from the horror stories about hybrid adoption that only wanted them for one thing—
× no, no, no, nO, NO.
× anxiety was getting to you as the guilt of catching feelings for him, plus the fact that he was financially dependant on you for the time which would've made it even worse if he found out, PLUS he comes from such a rough life, he definitely needs a break and doesn't need his first human friend in forever to be a piece of;;;
× Kiri catches on this really constant and increasing feeling of anxiety; he starts to send you worried glances but doesn't know how to proceed
× in such a soft voice he asks if you're okay, if something is on your mind
× and since you weren't sharing anything but acted as if everything was alright even when he felt you lied, Kiri started to get worried too
× why were you anxious? why weren't you talking to him about it?
× oh, god, was he a burden? because he felt like one;;; did you want him out? he felt like an extra weight for you and wanted to do something about it but maybe you got sick of him? he felt unmanly...
× the fact that he knew he cared about you as more than just a friend made him even more anxious and it didn't help that whenever he touched you he heard your breath hitch or your heart beating louder; he got his hopes up then down because
× you smelled like people; people he didn't know, people he wanted to know because he needed to know why did you smell like them? were they a treat? were they potential partners? he really did not want to ask bc Kirishima felt like it wasn't his place to know
× as tension grew in the house you decided to gift him a new phone, ready to give him some news that reached your ears
× it seems Kiri himself liked to do sports and mainly jog to keep himself active and he's started to pass by the local dog-park to play with the dogs
× imagine your surprise when a few neighbors asked you if he'd be willing to train their dogs bc he's been teaching them stuff like once a week and the dogs listened
× big time dog whisperer; he says "Sit" to one dog and all dogs in the neighborhood sit too, you get me?
× so you said it would be nice for him to have his own money; not like you didn't help him without care, but you saw his face every time you bought something for him and really felt like he needed some real independence
× he's in ✨awe✨ because you came up with clients already that were very eager for dog training sessions, which he loved??? and suggested hours, wages??????
× and you gave him this new phone to help him with it if he's interested too?
× "Well, the normal price on the internet around the area is—"
× "[Y/N]."
× "Hmm?"
× "You're really amazing, you know that, right?" he'd have his lips curled into a sweet smile
× which makes your heart go crazy and this man notices how you get flustered
× loves it
× get ready for compliments; a lot of compliments just expecting your sweet flustered reactions
× he's slow at realizing your feelings for him because he beats himself down and seems himself as less of a man but tests the waters nonetheless and a d o r e s every time you struggle to thank him for said compliments and don't know how to continue functioning
× catches on and gets his hopes up
× and so you do
× listen, this is hilarious because you're both dumb idiots and want to be respectful towards the other meanwhile he hugs you tighter and for a little bit too long, loving how you melt into him, kisses you on the cheek and sees you get all flustered, looks at you like you're the only one to ever matter until you stop talking, turning everything into a giant mess of silence until you both grin at each other???? I'm getting second-hand embarrassment, just kiss???????
× and it happened with an accidental kiss
× you greeted him as he walked through the door, excited to tell him about your promotion, rambling about the take-out you ordered while he smiled at you
× and it started to be usual for you to greet him with a kiss on the cheek, right? just what normal roomies do, you know [mhmm~]
× he's taking his shoes off and knows the kiss is coming, but just before you press it on his cheek you whisper/squeal "I got the promotion!" to which he turns his head in surprise at you making your lips press together by accident [mhhhmmmmm~~~]
× cue both of you apologizing, looking like a mess
× he's blushing
× you both loved it
× why are you standing so close to each other?
× why did he lick his lips in daze while staring at yours?
× which one of you was leaning in for another kiss?
× it didn't really matter because he's kissing you slowly, taking you into his arms like you were made of porcelain
× glues his body to yours and breathes you in, lips locked, neither believing it was real
× lifts you up in his arms with no difficulty and smiles, both inches separated from another; "Congratulations..." his breath would fan over your face;;;;
× yeah, okay, he takes no time to confess, resulting in a mess of manly words skdjekldj you guys talked that whole night while cuddling and stealing kisses, you on his lap
× [ his nose brushing your neck; he loves your scent omg ]
× it becomes official pretty much instantly and then all your worries wash away
× all the anxiety, all the stress and overthinking, they've all been sorted out in one night and trust me, afterwards this man is pure honesty and loyalty
× he won't hesitate to talk to you about anything and will be such a patient sweetheart with you, listening to every word you say without judgment
× loves cheesy stuff? as in the most cliché stuff seen in movies? that's his shit right there; whenever you two see each other after some time apart [sometimes 5 minutes apart] he'd pick you in his arms and spin you around, then expect you to kiss him
× if you don't, i will skfjdkfk step aside 👀
× skin contact; please, touch him
× if you're not he sends you those famous puppy eyes and we all know they're killer
× sighs, happy to hold you tight against him, engulfing you into his big frame; yeah, you're where you belong, in his arms.
× everyone in the neighborhood loves him; it's ridiculous, seriously, because you find out he helped around all the time when you were at work and gained everyone's love
× makes an instagram account to teach people how to train their dog and becomes an internet sensation, a small celebrity
× also bc he's hot and sometimes posts working out pics
× skdksjs imagine this: makes dinner for both of you, lits up some candles, goes all in, then fucking posts it on ig saying "waiting for my baby to come home #surprise" forgetting you can see it lmfao
× you see the story on your way home and 🥺💞 "ye i love his oblivious ass"
× soft gasps when you tell him after dinner
× has the audacity to be surprised, like babe????
× Kaminari finds him through social media and this baby cries in relief for a good half an hour
× both team up to find all the gang
× guess who talks praises about you all the time? mhm, this guy right here is proud to have you
× and Denki has to deal with it;
× anywho! want to break him for good? tell him you love him for the first time
× GETS. SO. EXCITED. AND. EMOTIONAL.
× but forgets how to speak
× finds his words to say it back after staring at you entranced, grinning like an idiot, taking you in his arms and giving you a bone crushing hug while shaking in place
× he's never felt this loved and adores every second of it
× you're like a drug and he's deep gone, man
× tells you he loves you every single day

When Passion Rules the Game | Part Four
Tumblr media
CW: NSFW, language
Part Three//Part Five//Masterlist//2976 words
“Shut up,” Aelin hissed, elbowing Elide. “Aedion can’t know about this.”
She had told Elide and Dorian everything about her last encounter with Rowan (save for what had happened after), and they both refused to stop bringing it up. Aelin swore to herself that she would never gossip with them again, but she knew she would cave eventually.
Elide was currently standing next to Aelin at the work party they were attending, pointing out Rowan and telling her how hot he looked, just to rile her up. As if Aelin didn’t already know.
And Aedion, her cousin, was making his way over to the pair of them. Unaware of Aelin’s inner turmoil, he marched up to them and said, “How’s everything coming along?”
“Great,” Aelin said with a smile. “I already got Chaol Westfall to donate to the organization.” They were hosting a fundraising event for their newest branch, a charity revolving around children with limited education opportunities. They had only been here for fifteen minutes, and Chaol, who Aelin suspected only agreed because he had a crush on her, had donated quite a sum after she sweet-talked him into it.
Aedion grinned. “I knew every time you convinced Dad to get you another ice cream or a new pair of shoes, you were made for bigger things.”
Aelin laughed. “You’re horrible.”
He grinned. “What about you, Elide? Good day?”
Elide rasied an eyebrow. “If successfully corralling Aelin around the room counts as a good day, then I’d say so.”
“I’m not that hard to manage,” Aelin protested with a scoff.
Elide snorted. “Whatever you want to tell yourself.”
Before she could respond, someone cleared their throat in a microphone, tapping it experimentally. “Ladies and gentlemen, may I please have your attention.”
It was Lysandra Ennar, another friend of Aelin’s who often worked publicity events such as these. While everyone else turned and focused on the speaker, Aelin started making her way across the room.
“Thank you all for attending tonight. May I welcome your main speaker tonight, the CEO of Terrasen Corp., Miss Aelin Galathynius!”
Aelin reached the podium with perfect timing, stepping up and taking the mic from Lys with a smile. Then she turned to her audience.
The speech went well. Very well, in fact. Aelin loved many parts of her job, but this was her favorite. Making a difference.
And Aelin excelled at talking to crowds. She made eye contact with different people in the audience, kept her features light and apt, but solemn at the right times, and most importantly, she spoke from her heart. Every rich donor in the room had teared up by the time she was through with them, Aelin noticed proudly.
Upon the completion of her speech, she wandered the room and spoke further to individual people. With Rowan.
That was the other thing. Rowan’s job here was the coordinations director of this new project. Which meant not only was he required to be with her tonight, but they had been working together closely all week.
It had been one week and one day since the incident, as Aelin was starting to call it. Things had been tense, but each had done a good job of sticking to their work and getting things done. Now, on a Saturday, they were launching this new project to the public. Aelin was excited, and no amount of interaction with Rowan could diminish that.
Once Aelin finished up wrangling a healthy sum out of Meave Cadreson, much to everyone’s shock and Aelin’s eternal joy, she stepped out covertly, heading away from the main room and down the hall. Standing so close to Rowan and watching him walk around in a fucking tuxedo was getting to be too much for her. Aelin had done plenty tonight, and no one would notice if she slipped away for a few minutes. She walked toward the elevator, deciding that she could straighten up a few things in her office just to take her mind off him.
Just before the doors could shut, a hand appeared between them and pulled enough to have them automatically opening again. Rowan.
He stepped in the elevator, and Aelin watched in silence as the doors slid shut behind him. Glancing over to the control panel, Aelin realized it was a long way up.
“You left your own event.”
Aelin smiled, pretending the way he crossed his arms and the elevator started ascending didn’t turn her on. “I’ve done enough. I just thought I should catch up on some work.”
Rowan nodded. He didn’t explain why he’d caught up with her. And that was the end of the conversation.
Aelin’s office was on the sixtieth floor. It was a long and arduous journey (read: Aelin is impatient), and she even brought paperwork to sit on the elevator’s floor and do some days. Her employees found it amusing.
But today, there was no paperwork. There was just Aelin and Rowan.
They were staring at each other, staring becasue there was no where else to look. And an indecipherable expression began to cross Rowan’s face.
“You look stunning tonight, Miss Galathynius.”
He was right, in fact. In the long red dress she had on, she knew how she looked, especially to the male prospective donors. Aelin smiled a bit tightly, trying not to be as excited by this comment as she was inclined to be. “You look quite handsome yourself, Mr. Whitethorn.”
Oh, how Dorian would laugh if he could see them now. He didn’t work in the office building, so Elide had discreetly snapped a photo on her phone to show him. Dorian had laughed endlessly, claiming that even though he was straight, he would do anything “that beauty” asked of him. In other words, they both sucked.
Floor eleven arrived. The silence lengthened. Aelin felt the need to say something. “You did well tonight with the people. We made the right decision in hiring you.”
Rowan smiled. “Thank you.”
Floor twenty-four.
Aelin averted her eyes, feeling awkward as fuck. In the faint reflection of the metal walls, she could make out him still watching her. His gaze dipped lower and Aelin cleared her throat, turning back to him. His eyes immediately snapped back to her own.
“Why are here, if you don’t mind me asking? More work to catch up on?” Aelin kept her tone even, but her hands were shaking with anticipation. She clenched them into fists and hid them in the skirt of her dress.
Rowan smirked. Fuck, fuck, fuck, this man was not allowed to smirk at her. It did unspeakable things to Aelin.
“I just thought I would accompany you. This is your big day, after all. I didn’t think you should be alone.”
Aelin nodded faintly. “I see.” Her voice was slightly out-of-breath.
They reached floor thirty. Halfway there.
“Do you ever think about it?” Aelin asked, not letting herself review that question in her head before it popped out.
Rowan knew exactly what she was talking about. “Of course I think about it. Every fucking day. You have no idea how much torture it is to see you in those gods-damn pantsuits. Or now.” His gaze shamelessly dropped to the dip in her dress. While this dress wasn’t nearly as revealing as what Aelin had been wearing when she met Rowan, it still didn’t leave too much to the imagination.
Maybe they had both had too much champagne.
“I think I have some idea,” Aelin replied.
Rowan looked back at her. And took a step forward. Aelin licked her lips.
The elevator dinged. How had the last half of the ride passed that quickly? Shaking herself out of her reverie, Aelin stepped out, grateful. There was a camera in the elevator.
“Come with me,” she said, but it was more of a request than an order. Allowing Rowan to decide if he wanted to go through with this.
He nodded, and Aelin nonchalantly walked down the hall a short ways, heading for the door to her office on the right. As soon as they were both inside and the door was locked, Rowan was upon her.
Aelin gasped against his lips as he pushed her against the door, pinning her wrists. She kissed him back passionately. Only two weeks of denying herself since their initial meeting, and Aelin was pent-up, desperate to feel him again.
Rowan broke the kiss, pressing his body even harder against hers. “You look so fucking perfect in that dress.” His voice was a gravelly heaven, a sound that Aelin had been dreaming of.
She moaned quietly. “Rowan,” she gasped.
Rowan started kissing her neck, sucking and nipping at the skin.
“Oh, gods, Rowan you can’t…” Her voice was barely audible, a pleasured whisper.
“What is it, baby?” he mumbled.
Aelin almost forgot what her protest had been, then remembered and said, “You’ll leave marks. There’s no fucking way I’m walking out of here in a dress and a scarf.”
Rowan hummed, debating this, then stepped back. “Get on your knees.”
It was all Aelin could do to hold back a groan at the words. She knelt, as instructed.
“Good girl,” Rowan murmured.
Aelin pressed her thighs together in a pathetic attempt at quenching her desire, and reached for his pants. She had been wondering what it was like to taste this man for far too long. Her sanity probably wouldn’t have survived if Aelin never got to.
She pulled out his cock, giving it an experimental pump. Rowan groaned, the sound like a drug. Spurred on, Aelin twisted her wrist, delighting in the sensation of having Rowan’s cock harden in her hand.
She leaned forward and placed her lips on him. Small kisses to his cock had Rowan growling ferally. “Aelin.”
His tone was not one to ignore. Knowing there would be consequences if Aelin didn’t do as was expected of her, she leaned forward and took him in her mouth.
The groan that tore from Rowan’s mouth as she bobbed her head forward had her heart speeding up. Or stopping altogether; she couldn’t say. Aelin made an O with her lips and took him deeper, relaxing her mouth around him.
Rowan reached down and grabbed several strands of Aelin’s hair, tugging them lightly as he got a hold on her. She groaned softly, both from the sensation and from the knowledge that she was entirely at his mercy.
Rowan praised her as she moved, not yet controlling her completely. Aelin took him deeper and deeper with each bob, sucking the delicate appendage a bit too much, secretly pleased with the hiss the movement drew from his throat.
“You want me to fuck your throat, sweetheart? I will if you don’t behave.”
Both of them knew that Aelin was not opposed to that idea.
In response, she sucked harder, flattening her tongue and letting her teeth scrape against his cock.
Rowan tightened his grip on her hair and thrust into her mouth. Aelin moaned around his cock, and the vibrations had him cursing. He started moving harder, setting a brutal, punishing pace.
Aelin felt his tip hit the back of her throat, and she slid a hand down to the hem of her dress. Before she could get her hand where she needed it, Rowan said, “Did I fucking say you could touch yourself?”
The only light came from the cracks in the window shades, pulled closed, and she didn’t realize he would be able to see her. Aelin could only whine in reply. He didn’t stop fucking her mouth.
“Maybe I’ll let you come tonight if you’re good. But you have to listen to me.” Rowan’s voice held amusement, clearly taking pleasure in her struggle. Aelin reluctanly pulled her hand out of her dress.
He whispered some more dirty praises to her, as well as a few threats, and Aelin couldn’t help but feel relieved the only other people in the building were sixty floors below them.
Rowan thrust into her mouth with one last groan, then paused. He pulled her off his cock, ignoring Aelin’s pleas to keep going, and yanked her to her feet.
“I’m going to come inside of you, you little slut. Do you understand me?”
Aelin nodded desperately. “Please.”
“Bend over.” Rowan nodded to the desk.
Aelin pushed some papers aside, then bent over, gripping the edge of the desk in anticipation.
Rowan pulled her dress up, then slid her panties down. Aelin lifted each ankle in turn after he dropped them, leaving her sex bare and exposed to the chilly air. They always ran the air conditioning too much in this building.
Rowan, apparently done toying with her, gripped her hips. He lined himself up with her entrance, and Aelin gasped as she felt his cock part her folds. “Please,” she whispered, for extra measure.
Rowan chuckled, then slid in. All the way.
Aelin buried her head in the desk, gripping the end tighter. He buried himself inside of Aelin with one thrust, groaning breathlessly. She didn’t make a sound, just held on for dear life.
Way too soon, Rowan started moving. He leisurely slid into Aelin, then back out. The pause between thrusts started lessening as he picked up speed.
“Look at you,” Rowan muttered. “You and your tight little pussy.”
Aelin’s toes curled painfully in the high heels that she was having trouble standing in. Rowan’s fingers started to dig into her hips tighter, and Aelin felt exhilarated by the knowledge that he was marking her, that there would be evidence of this the next day and she couldn’t just dismiss it as a dream.
Rowan slammed into Aelin, his balls slapping her clit, and she cried out. He didn’t let up, moving harder and deeper with every thrust. The sweet pain of his fingers digging into her hips was enough to have Aelin groaning as she came.
Rowan cursed as she tightened around his cock. He moved impossibly harder, using Aelin to chase the same pleasure.
Aelin thought she heard some sort of ding, but quickly dismissed the thought as Rowan came inside of her, filling her so delightfully. She sighed, intoxicated from the feel of him.
Rowan muttered a few more praises as he pulled out of her. Aelin shakily stood, still using the desk for support. Before she could say anything, a knock sounded on the door and they both froze.
“Aelin? You okay? I just wanted to check on you since you’ve been gone for so long.” It was Elide’s voice.
The handle started to turn and Aelin yelled. “Wait!” The handle stopped moving. “Um, I’m just…”
“Just what?” Elide asked, suspicious of her tone.
Aelin thought for a moment. “Doing some paperwork.”
“And I’m not allowed in to see you committing the scandalous act of paperwork? What are you actually doing?”
“I… spilled something on my dress so I’m changing into my spare work clothes.”
“Liar,” Elide called. “You’re probably mooning over Rowan again, aren’t you? Maybe you’re even—”
“Elide!” Aelin squeaked. She didn’t dare face Rowan.
“Oh, gods, is he in there?” Elide started laughing. “I’m so sorry.”
“No, you’re not,” Aelin hissed. “Go away.”
Elide’s laughter got louder. “Just letting you know, people are going to start wondering where you are. You might want to finish that up pretty quickly.” Elide was still laughing to herself as Aelin her heels clicking down the hallway.
Finally, absolutely petrified, Aelin turned back to Rowan. In the semidarkness, she could make out a smirk, but that was about it.
“You told your assistant about us.”
Aelin tried not to shiver at the word “us.” She crossed her arms. “She’s one of my best friends, okay. She won’t tell anyone.”
Rowan hummed amusedly, then—thank the gods—seemed to drop it for now. “So, Aelin. Miss Galathynius.” She barely stopped herself from frowning at that. “Will this be… happening again?”
Aelin knew better than to ask if he wanted it to. He clearly did. “It can. But just to be clear, it won’t earn you any special treatment. And if you chose to end this at any time, there will be no repercussions for you. No matter how this ends, your job will not be affected in any way.”
Rowan nodded. “I’m glad.”
“And we won’t be doing this again,” Aelin continued, waving a hand around her office. “I am a professional, and there will be no more office hookups. This stays out of our careers. And,” she added, “when we are here, I am your boss, and you will treat me with the respect I deserve. There will be no talk of this while we’re here, no glances or innuendos. And this is just sex. Nothing more.”
Aelin was a CEO, and she had to be good with words and contracts to make it to where she was now. This was a mixture of both. It was easy for her to decide how to arrange this, and Aelin wouldn’t have this backfiring on her.
Rowan nodded again, agreeing. “I understand, Miss Galathynius.”
Aelin cleared her throat. “Perhaps now that the awkwardness has abated, you can refer to me as Aelin? Most of my employees do.”
“Only if you call me Rowan.”
Aelin smiled. Then she said, “And, I know I’ve already said this, but I would like to make this clear—you are allowed to stop this at any time, no questions asked.”
An expression Aelin didn’t recognize in the darkness came over Rowan’s face. “I appreciate it a lot. Thank you.”
“We should go. We’ve been missing for too long. I should head over to the bathroom and fix my hair.”
“Of course,” Rowan agreed. “Aelin.”
She tried to pretend hearing her name on his lips didn’t melt her heart completely, but it was a losing battle. If only Aelin understood what feeling like that meant.

Heart of the Weave - chapter 27 - Gale’s POV
I found it rather difficult to fall asleep due to the intensity that the day brings us tomorrow, between the horrors of the Bhaal cult, the potential for other troubles along the way, and the dreariness of leaving my wife behind. I lie here admiring her sleeping face as I try to ignore it all, and just seeing her slumber peacefully eases the rapid thoughts racing through my mind.
“I love you Jenevelle,” I murmured in her ear.
This will be weird for me.” An anti-violent Astarion is like a raccoon that doesn’t like trash. Am I wrong?
What Astarion said just reminded me how long it’s been since we’ve actually had to fight and destroy enemies of any kind. This will be strange, but hopefully we will get through it like we always have.
“It’s so beautiful seeing you two become such incredible fathers,” Halsin mentions. “I love to see it. And if you ever need a sitter –”
“Hey now! Fine, fine, we’ll take turns,” Karlach interrupts teasingly. “I guess auntie Karlach can make arrangements.”
We finally stumble across the path that leads out of Waterdeep and suddenly I’m hit with traumatic flashbacks: Emmy being abducted by the clutches of Raphael. Orin. Gortash. Steel Watch. Hell, even Ketheric. The Chosen Three have been – well, dead – for quite some time now but the spontaneous traumatic visions I get of our past still hits me from time to time.
Then there’s the mountains in the very far distance, which I’m not familiar with, and a lovely pond to our right as we continue on the dirt trail.
“So.
“Could be worse, though – Wait, could it? Now I’m not so sure…”

Comfort (Yuta x you)
a/n : WAIST has gotten a lot of love! Thank you everyone..and this is just another scenario similar to that one. Sorry for being away and unable to post stories as frequent as before, I was caught up with hws and tests. plus my finals are coming.
So, here is another domestic Yuta... to the Yuta fanfic lovers out there I know @yutahoes @ailoveyuta @2-3-t-i
It's stressful. February is the shortest month of the year, yet it is the most frustrating one, at least for you.
Midterm has just ended and you're drained to the point where you've been lacking sleeps just to finish reading all the chapters, stay awake with coffees to concentrate on the test, and totally holding your scream back when the test ended and the score was not satisfying.
You were even more tired when the materials you read during your sleeping schedule did not make it to the questions.
You thought once the paper is turned over, you can just fly home and jump on your bed to sleep.
No, you have to finish some more labs, homework’s, and finals are coming!
You have been laying down on the sofa, face down on your belly. You did not hear it when the door clicks, and your boyfriend comes to visit you.
"Oh? Nani?" Yuta asks to himself when he steps into the not so tidy room. He knows this small studio room you rent by heart. He always love how you're able to keep the small area clean and tidy the room well to make it spacious. But not today, he's surprised to find your scattered papers and books on the dining table and the study table. Your laptop is still on, and the living room table is messy with some clothes.
Yuta walks silently to the pantry, checking on your trash and refrigerator to check if you've been eating well or not.
His guess was right, you did not eat properly. His eyes scan through the highlighted textbook pages and your neat notes. Yuta sighs as he calmly puts his phone down and begins sorting your notes and piling them up into one stack.
He sees you on the sofa, looking lifeless. You must be asleep, or else you'd already bombarded him with the story of your hectic week.
Yuta just smile when he remembers how he used to work hard like you back then in high school days. Right now, he is an idol and his training is different than yours. He didn't have papers this much, but he is also working as hard as regular students.
Yuta continues his journey to the living room, cleaning up the mess you made and gets on his knee to watch you sleep.
He pushes your hairs away and gasps when his fingers touch your moist warm cheeks and wet eyelashes.
You're crying in your sleep? Or you cried yourself to sleep?
He glances to the clock, it's past dinner already, somewhere around nine. Appropriate for bedtime considering you must've lacked sleep for the last week.
"(Y/n)~" Yuta softly whispers into your ear, then leans in to kiss your head slowly to wake you up.
You stir in your sleep and blink several times before peeking through your hairs to find your boyfriend already looking at you.
You yawn "Ah Yuta- you're-" you pause yawning again "-here."
You try to push yourself from laying down, but there's not much energy from you and you remain slumped on the chair.
Yuta just gives you a small smile before hoisting you up, so you're seated on the sofa properly.
He sits next to you, and you automatically lean to his side.
"How long have you been here?" Your question is still slurred, just like when people get up from sleep.
"Thirty minutes? You're deep asleep on the sofa. Didn't I tell you to sleep on the bed. You'll get sick if you sleep here." He rubs his hand lovingly through your long hair.
You snuggle closer to him and just hum.
Your emotion lately hasn’t been great, something super melancholy is running in your body. Was it the lack of sleep? Homesickness? Missing Yuta? Or just the pressure of performing well in class?
Yuta senses how the atmosphere is down. He regularly comes here to visit you to recharge himself by listening to your lively rants and gossips. It's something new to find you-the battery- to be this sad.
Yuta takes the queue that this is his time to take care of you.
"Are you okay?" He starts by asking you the simple question you always ask him.
You shake your head. Your body is already facing him, one of your leg is folded on the sofa while the other is dangling on the edge. Your arms have already hugged his slightly toned arm and your cheek is on his shoulder.
Yuta clicks his tongue and gently pulls you up his lap. You make yourself comfortable straddling him and lean your face to his chest.
Your small petite figure makes it super easy to fit fully into Yuta's body and you feel yourself calm down as you listen to his calm steady heartbeats.
"Mind to share?" He rakes his fingers through your hair while his other hand is secured around the small of your back. Just resting there to tell you, he is here, and you are safe with him.
You stay silent and remain frozen. You want to share, but you don’t know what’s making you feel this way.
Your eyes focus on the tiny fleece on Yuta’s sweater and your hand fumble with his soft sweater.
You lean into his warm embrace, exhaling all of your tension away and fall completely limp to him.
“I don’t know what is bothering me. Everything just-“ you pause, trying to find the right words, “pile up and suddenly I burst into tears and slept.” You pout, your finger begins to trace random lines on Yuta’s back when you feel his thumb starts grazing over your bare waist. Ah Yuta and his habit, you may be honest and admit you miss this feeling.
“Well, that was you not realizing you’re holding your emotion back too much because you’re too focused on something else.” The Japanese man in his calm deep voice whispers into your ear.
You hum once again and feel soft kisses on your shoulder.
Yuta knows he cannot get things out of your heart if you’re not willing to tell him, or like what you admit… you just don’t know which one is affecting you.
So, he sticks to his one and only way of comforting you, by staying with you and letting you know he is here for you.
His big hand moves from only holding your waist to hugging it and he brings his other free hand to your neck. Gently he pulls you closer to his warmth, you melt yourself into Yuta, into your comfort, your safe place, your home.
Inhaling his scent can already help you breathe better.
Feeling his touch makes you sure he is here and he won’t leave you.
Melting into his body, makes you smile at how perfectly fitting both of you are.
Having Yuta for yourself is like winning the lottery and you’re more than glad to exchange everything in this world for you to be with him again.
You just need Yuta, hugging you, tracing circles on your waist, breathing next to your ear, letting you listen to his heart beat, and kissing your shoulder bit by bit to make yourself feel better and ready.
Yes, ready for a new day, a new chance, a new page.
“Thank you for coming tonight.” you finally broke the comfortable silence.
You pull yourself away from his warmth, thinking that he must feel numb already keeping your body on top of his for almost an hour.
You’re like a koala hugging a tree for dear life!
Yuta smiles and you feel the night is no longer gloomy, not when you have your starry man here with you. He pushes your hair back to your ear and pecks your lips “You could always call me anytime! I’ll find my way back to you.”
You nod “I know, you’re one call away.” You smile, this time it is nothing forced. It’s a natural smile that always appear when you talk about Yuta.
He suddenly wraps your arms around his shoulder and places your legs over his waist. With one swift, he has you in the air hanging on his body.
“Now that you’re smiling already, your body is cold but your face is warm. You’ve skipped meals!” he scolds you as he walks to the kitchen with you on his body. You feel like a little kid getting scolded by their mother.
You blush “How am I warm and cold at the same time?”
He gets flustered at that question but shrugs it off “Your face is warm, I don’t want you to fall sick just because I let you sleep without a proper meal. Your fingertips are cold. How could you skip meals?” he puts you down on the chair and goes to check your food supply.
“Great, you just have eggs and oh ramen.” He picks up two packages and starts boiling the water.
“I’ll bring you to a proper meal tomorrow morning. No rejection or refutation, you need to be healthy despite being so engrossed in studying.”
You nod “Okay mom-“ you teasingly joke with him.
He giggles “You’re glad I am not your real mom, or I’d already whip you for not eating properly.”
“Actually, if you don’t mind… please accompany me to do grocery shopping tomorrow.” You glance to the empty kitchen racks. You usually have some snacks or popcorns ready, some booster drinks and fun candies. It’s all gone during test prep and you’re too tired to restock them, but now that you have Yuta who can help you carry the things up to the room… you might as well use his help right?
“I love you, Yuta.” You suddenly back hug him and press your cheek into his back. He was way taller, you cannot lean your chin on his shoulder, so this is cute enough.
Your eyes cannot leave how his strong body, but pretty figure looks perfect in an apron, cooking ramen.
He puts the fork down and turns his body to face you. He cups your face and kisses you softly “I love you too, now don’t go too hard on yourself okay? Always know that you have me and I will always be here for you (Y/n)~”
You nod “I am also always here for you, Yuta!”
end
thank you! cheer up and hold on :D tomorrow will be better :D
have a nice day/night

Hiiii! I absolutely love your writing. Could you do an imagine based off of your pregnancy one shot? Since H is incredibly private, would the couple be able to hide her pregnancy from the public and then announce it similar to like Kylie Jenner’s video diary of the whole experience? Thanks!!
Tumblr media
A/N: Ok I was OBSESSED with this request, but for some reason I found it very difficult to write, so I’m so sorry if it’s shit. Hope you like it <3

Is Forever Enough?
From the moment Harry found out he and Y/N were expecting their first child, he knew he wanted to document everything. He had been in the habit of capturing moments throughout their relationship, mainly of big events, but from this moment on, he wanted to capture it all. Little clips of every doctor’s appointment, every craving his wife had, every heartbeat, and every little kick. He wanted video documentation of the life growing inside his wife’s belly and everything that happened during that time. They had waited so long for this moment, and now that it was finally here, he wanted to make sure they would never forget a single second of it. From telling their closest friends and family members, designing the nursery, their tiny baby shower, attended by the select few that were lucky enough to know their secret.
At first, keeping silent was a way to protect themselves in case Y/N’s pregnancy didn’t stick like their fertility doctor had warned them was a possibility. It took them nearly two years to conceive, and the thought of going through a miscarriage in front of millions of watchful eyes was terrifying. But by the time they became aware that they weren’t going to miscarry, they had gone so long without announcing it that there wasn’t a point to do it. Why ruin something that was so well hidden?
The decision not to announce their pregnancy to the public wasn’t a hard decision to make. Harry was private, anyway, and everyone knew that. He was rarely on social media and didn’t talk about his private life to many people, and those who he did talk to were very loyal and trusting. They just wanted to enjoy being pregnant without the prying eyes of strangers and it was fairly easy keeping it under wraps considering how private they were, to begin with.
The timing of Y/N’s pregnancy helped, too. The early part of her pregnancy was during the summer, so they could enjoy tropical holidays together without worrying about being seen because she simply wasn’t showing yet. But, towards the end, it got harder to conceal, like during award season in the fall when an oversized shirt or puffy dress couldn’t conceal the roundness of her bump and plumpness of her cheeks and lips. It was the first award season she hadn’t accompanied Harry to in years and people began to get suspicious.
That’s when the rumors of her possible pregnancy started. Of course, no one could prove anything. But that, along with the lack of sightings of Y/N was enough proof for some. Luckily, nothing more came of it other than whispers. Harry had stopped doing interviews when he first got wind of the rumors, so no one could catch him off guard in uncomfortable positions or having to lie to protect his wife, and he began to focus his attention back on his music, halting his pursuance of on-screen work for the time being until after their baby boy’s arrival. Instead, he was the man behind the camera.
For the most part.
There were times when certain family members or friends would pick up their camera and film some things for them, capturing little intimate moments of the parents-to-be. They even enlisted the help of Harry’s on-tour photographer, Helene Pambrun, to help film the birth of their baby. Though she focused mainly on photography, her knowledge of videography and style of filming fit exactly with what the couple wanted, and Helene was all too honored to be a part of the day.
And although the birth of their child was, albeit, a bit traumatic, they couldn’t have asked for a sweeter baby boy. Born on a frigid Friday evening on March eighteenth after twenty hours of active labor and an onslaught of chaos, Paxton Robin Styles was born, tiny, healthy, and beautiful, surrounded by family that already loved him so dearly.
The hospital staff was wonderful in keeping their attendance private, no one having a clue that they were even there. No news articles or whispers were heard of their newest addition to which they were grateful to be allowed to enjoy their first week home, getting acclimated to being new parents. They had fallen in love with him.
“Y/N!” Harry exclaimed, bouncing into the nursery on a Monday afternoon as his wife fed their son, his phone in hand, and a bright smile on his face.
Y/N looked up, surprised and slightly offended, “Don’t ever call me by my name again,” she joked, stroking their son’s cheek.
Harry laughed, “Sorry, love. But, look! It’s here!”
He held his phone in front of her face, playing the edited version of their pregnancy and birth journey in video form one of Harry’s editor friends kindly put together for them after the birth of their son. The five minute and fifty-one-second video filled with shortened clips of the last nearly ten months of their lives in becoming first-time parents. They watched it together, occasionally glancing down at their baby that had fallen asleep while eating in Y/N’s arms, in awe that this was their life.
Tears were streaming down both of their faces, and Y/N giggled, wiping her husband’s cheek with her free hand. He was an emotional being, she knew that, but she had no idea what the effect of fatherhood would be on her Harry. She couldn’t have picked a better partner to raise a child with.
“I think we should post it,” Harry said, causing Y/N’s eyes to go wide.
“Post it? Like...social media?”
Harry nodded, “Well, we can’t keep him a secret forever. People are already starting to talk. I’d rather announce it on our own terms than on someone else’s. We can still stay as private as possible, I’ve already talked to Jeffrey and my publicist about it. I just...he makes me so proud and I feel like I need to show people that.”
Y/N smiles sweetly at her husband, taking his hand that rested on the arm to the nursing chair and pulling it up to her lips, kissing it gently. “Okay. We can post it.”
Later that evening, the internet was in an uproar and their phones were blowing up like crazy, for on both of their Instagrams they posted a grey-scale picture of a name tag sticker that read “Hello, I’m: P”, captioned ‘link in bio’, where they were directed to a youtube link posted under Harry’s account.
As soon as the video began, Harry’s soft voice was heard, singing his version of ‘Lullaby’ by the Dixie Chicks in the background as unseen footage of their wedding a few years prior had fizzled into view, video of their first dance as husband and wife played while the tail end of a speech made by Harry’s mom, Anne, was heard over everything else.
“We are so incredibly grateful to have Y/N now an official part of our family and I wish you both years of love, health, and happiness….and giving me tons and tons of grandchildren,” earning laughter from the attendees, “I love you both to pieces. Congratulations.”
The video slowly changed to little snippets. Y/N running towards the beach, holding her hat tight on her head with one hand while the other was holding onto Harry’s hand that was at the bottom of the screen as the breeze whipped at Y/N’s hair and sarong, cut to a clip of the camera propped on the beach overlooking the two of them sitting in the sand, looking out into the ocean, Y/N’s head falling on Harry’s shoulder and him kissing the top of her head as the sun set.
Next was a scene during one of Harry’s tour where someone filmed Y/N at the front of the stage in a VIP area beside a few of their friends, dancing and singing along with Harry who stood in front of her, smiling and singing at her.
The next images were upsetting. When they first started trying, they recorded videos of themselves awaiting the results of their tests, hoping to capture the moment they found out on film. One after another, the video showed negative test upon negative test, wanting to document the struggle they faced in fertility, one of the main reasons they decided to post this video. If it helped just one person who struggled with infertility and gave them a bit of hope, they needed to show it.
They showed clips of Harry holding an emotional Y/N in his arms, her eyes filled with tears and a quivering lip as he kissed her forehead and stroked her hair. Until the next clip showed. A shaky still of a screen that read ‘Pregnant’ that panned up to show a reflection of Harry and his wife in the mirror, Y/N pulling the test up to her face with a smile while Harry looked down at his wife in pride, softly touching her flat belly.
Clips of an ultrasound showed, Y/N stomach looking more bloated than anything as the doctor slid the wand around on her belly, Harry filming while squeezing his wife’s hand. His voice could barely be heard over the music of the video as he cooed, “Is that it, right there? So little…”
They included a few announcements they made to family members. How they told Anne while on an end of summer family vacation with a little jewelry box that opened up to two little birds and an egg in a birds nest with a note that said ‘A little birdy told me you are going to be a Nana.’ making Anne burst into tears, hugging them. And when they told Y/N’s best friend by giving her an orange and saying, “That’s how big our baby is right now,” which caused confusion before the screaming.
Y/N had filmed mirror clips of her growing belly in the floor-length mirror that stood in the corner of their room and had gotten clips of Harry laying beside her bump, his hands rubbing her stomach, clasped on either side as he sang, or talked, or read stories.
“I can’t wait to meet you,” he could be heard saying before kissing the top of her bump, looking up and past the camera to his wife, smiling lovingly.
There were images of Christmas, Gemma having caught an intimate moment between the two of them, Y/N sat in between Harry’s legs on the floor, mugs of hot chocolate in her hands and still in their Christmas Pajamas, Harry’s cheek pressed against hers as he held up a blue Gucci baby suit in front of them, smiling and gushing about how small it was.
The couple’s silhouette could be seen in the dark light sky as they stood in the middle of the field, illuminated by the New Years’ fireworks that went off in the distance, Y/N’s belly pressed against Harry’s stomach as they kissed intimately amongst their friends.
A small baby shower inside one of their London country homes was next, littered with a few familiar faces along with some that were likely family members. Harry still sang in the background as the two of them opened gifts, smiling and laughing with each other, genuine happiness and love could be seen on everyone’s faces and a few people popped onto the screen to say a few words for the unborn baby.
“You have wonderful parents,” Y/N’s parents grinned, her mom getting teary-eyed. “I can’t wait to see the person you become.”
Anne’s bright, shining smile was next, “You’re going to do amazing things. You are so loved.”
“Hi, my sweet nephew! It’s Auntie Gemma,” she grinned, waving at the camera, “I can’t wait to meet you and snuggle you! I hope you grow up to be just as kind and loving as your parents. We are so lucky to have you in our lives.”
Harry and Y/N were seen in the background, Y/N eating a slice of cake while Harry casually kissed her cheek before stealing a bite of her food, earning a smile from his pregnant wife
Video panned over their newly renovated nursery, mostly designed to be gender-neutral with little hints of outer space; moon lights, a solar system mobile hanging above the cot, with a star blanket draped over the nursing chair. Harry moved the camera to Y/N who was hanging some onesies in the nursery closet, smiling and waving at the camera.
Next, they were laying in bed. It was dark and, but a glow from a nightstand shone and Y/N’s belly was visible, round and very pregnant, a few freckles near her navel, and the faintest linea nigra could be seen running from her belly button down towards the bottom of her belly. Their voices were barely audible over the music still sung by Harry. A little ripple on her belly cast from left to right and then her belly distorted a little as their baby boy kicked and pressed against the center of her bump, making the couple laugh and Harry’s hand appeared, softly rubbing where his son’s foot would be.
It changed. They were in a hospital now, Y/N in a grey and white spotted hospital gown. The camera was propped on a table filming Y/N  who sat on the edge of her bed, moving her hips from side to side as she breathed heavily, moaning, while Harry kneeled on the floor in front of her, his hands on her hips and squeezing to relieve some pressure. They were talking to each other, concern, and empathy clear on Harry’s face.
In the next clip, Y/N was laying back in her hospital bed, sucking on gas and air. Harry was filming this time, and his Anne could be seen this time, sitting on Y/N’s other side holding her daughter-in-law’s free hand. Y/N put the gas and air down, gave a thumbs-up, and smiled, “We’re having a baby today!” as her mother-in-law smiled brightly.
The footage faded to black before it flashed to Y/N looking at someone just out of view as the disembodied voice said, “Whenever you feel the urge to push, let us know. You’ll be meeting your son soon.”
It faded to black again, Harry’s singing more evident in these moments, louder, as the footage flashed back into focus. The camera was, once again, being propped up on a table. At Y/N’s head on either side stood Anne who was still holding her daughter-in-law’s hand, while Harry stood, back to the camera, mostly blocking the view of his wife as one hand stroked her hair and the other held her hand. The doctors could be heard saying, “Deep breath” before Y/N took a deep breath in, bringing her legs to her chest with the help of a few nurses that could hardly be seen, bearing down and pushing as the nurses counted and Harry said, “Great job, love. Keep going. You’re so strong.”
The screen went black. A doctor’s voice was heard saying, “One more big push.” Y/N could be heard taking a deep breath, and a little exasperated yelp before gasping from both Harry and Anne followed by the beautiful, gurgling cry of their baby. Harry’s sweet singing voice in the background of the video got louder and finally, the video came back into view of a little name card on the bassinet that read:
Name: P, Styles.
DOB: March 18th
Weight: 6 lbs 12 oz
Height: 20 inches
Time: 8:39 PM
The camera panned down to the top of a blue baby cap with a white embroidered ‘P’ in the center, moving as their son wiggled in his bassinet, the hushed reassuring whispers of his parents heard just behind the camera as little lip-smacking and coos could be heard from the baby.
The screen went blank as the song started to end and white words appeared on the screen.
“Welcome to the world, Baby P. We love you to the ends of the earth.
Love,
Mummy and Daddy”

[Kimetsu no Yaiba]
[One-shot]
[warning: crack]
[Demon slayers/Hashiras x Reader]
On order of Ubayashiki, all of the Hashiras, besides some, were required to travel to a specific destination; fastest way was through the ocean. However, they were accompanied by kakashi and a few younger demon slayers, including a demonic sister.
Their transpiration was a large wooden ship; filled with more than necessary essentials for the journey.
“Uwah!” Tanjirou stared, excitedly as the waves would thrash violently amongst one another,”I’ve never gotten the chance to see the ocean before! It’s so pretty!” Tanjirou was more use to just seeing mountains and trees so it was a delight to finally see what he thought would only be in the books.
He glanced over to see Zenitsu prodding at the box that strapped snug against his back and saw Inosuke bending over the ledge of the ship, yelling.
“I am the God of the Forest! I will conquer you, God of the Waters!” He was attempting to chop at the waves.
Tanjirou frowned,”God of the Forest, huh..” His attention was pulled from the screeching boar from a tug on his green kimono. The mist pillar stood next to him with a lazed expression.
“Where is [Name]?” Muichiro asked,”She told me that if I helped load supplies to the ship, she would play with my hair. I can’t find her anywhere.”
“Ah, [Name]—“ Tanjirou took a quick scan of the boat. Most of the Hashiras were either wondering around or in their designated cabins,” Maybe she’s in her room?”
Muichiro shook his head,”Her room was empty.”
Tanjirou rubbed the back of his head,”I can help you go look for her.” He set his crate down near Zenitsu,”Zenitsu, watch Nezuko for me.”
“I would love too, Tanjirou! I’ll protect this crate with my life!—“
Muichiro and Tanjirou already began to explore the deck. They’ve knocked on other Hashiras’ rooms, asking if they have seen the Moon Hashira.
They’ve first attempted to ask Genya. He was at the front of the ship, lounging and basking in the sunlight.
“Ha? I don’t know where she went. Last time I saw her she was talking to my brother. I think they might be in the sparing room. I’ll let you know if I find her though.”
Muichiro and Tanjirou arrived to the sparring room which was at the back of the ship.
“Coming in,” Tanjirou announced as he slid the door aside, only to see a wooden staff fly forwards him,”ACK—“ he yelled in pain as the mist pillar grabbed his hair and yanked him towards the floor. The wooden staff embedded the wall behind them.
Muichiro stood up to stare at the pole,”Master will get mad about that...”
“Sorry.” Giyuu apologized, unfazed. He looked over to his sparing partner,”Sanemi got too heated up and tried to impale me with a stick.”
“WHY YOU!—“ Before Sanemi could attempt to turn Giyuu inside out, Tanjirou slid between the two and asked,
“Have you seen [Name]? We’re trying to look for her.”
“[Last Name]? Last time I saw her, she was in the kitchen. It’s her turn to cook tonight. She’s probably preparing something right now. NOW SCRAM.” Sanemi hissed before shoving the two younger demon slayers out and shutting the door,”Okay, you piece of shit. I’m going to use this stick to beat you so hard that your ass goes up your—“
Tanjirou quickly went downstairs with Muichiro to head towards the kitchen. He placed hand on Muichiro’s shoulder,
“Don’t worry, we’ll find [Name].”
Muichiro was in a moment of a daze as he stared down the hallway with a dozed off expression,”I wonder if [Name] can make me some of those cookies I like.”
When they entered the kitchen, the only residing Hashiras were Mitsuri and Kyoujurou. Mitsuri was digging through a few crates to possibly look for any sweets as the Kyoujurou stuffed his face with rice, loudly exclaiming how tasty it was. He noticed them when they walked them.
“Tanjirou, my boy! Do you want a snack? It’s really tasty!” The Flame Hashira exclaimed, setting down his plate to look at the Kamado.
Tanjirou shook his head,”No, we were wondering where [Name] is.”
“[Name]?” Mitsuri’s voice was muffled as a big bun was shoved into her mouth. She headed towards them before swallowing the entire thing,”She was here earlier but she said she had to see Shinobu real quick. But she’s been gone for a long while.”
“Should we go look for her, then?” Kyojurou asked as he stood up. Mitsuri nodded,”We can check with Shinobu! She’s probably in her room right now. Why don’t you two asked Obanai?”
Tanijrou frowned a bit, recalling that Obanai wasn’t a big fan of him nor the moon pillar,”I suppose we can... but I rather check on Shinobu myself.”
“Let’s all go together!” Kyojurou said before dragging them all back up the stairs to all the rooms.
••••••••••••
“[Name] isn’t here!” Shinobu exclaimed. Everyone sulked.
They literally searched the entire ship. Along the way, they dragged Inosuke and Zenitsu along but still no sign of the [hair color] haired Hashira.
They didn’t dare bother Obanai since he was asleep in his cabin nor Uzui since he was taking a very long ‘flamboyant’ bath.
“Where is she?”
•••••••••••••
At this point, everyone was looking for [Name], aside from the sound Hashira who was still doing his own thing. Obanai was woken up so... enthusiastically by the Flame Pillar. Kyojurou had to get his cheek bandages due to the snake biting him in the face when he kicked the door down.
“[Name]!”
“[Last Name]!”
“Wait, what if she’s in the water?” Zenitsu suggested.
All of a sudden, there was dead silence.
It was so quiet, one could hear a needle drop if it wasn’t for the loud, violent crashing of the waves.
Then, havoc broke out.
Nearly all of the Hashiras had scrambled to all edges of the boat in desperate attempt to find [Name].
Tanjirou nearly went into panic as he watched all of them draw out their swords. Everyone was now yelling or aggressively scanning the waters as desperate attempts to spot the Moon Hashira.
“I can evaporate the entire ocean! Maybe we can find her quicker!” Kyoujirou quickly stood on the ledge of the ship, hand at side, ready to whip out his sword.
“No, that’s not realistic!” Zenitsu yelled, trying to pull the man down before he could fall off the ship.
In the background, Genya was trying to drag his brother away from the edge; he was elbowed in the face and now on the ground, holding his face in pain.
Shinobu and Mitsuri were on the other side of the ship, leaning over the edges, calling out [Name]’s name. Obanai had left to find Uzui to get him to help find the loved Hashira.
Tanjirou was too occupied with Inosuke who had straight up dove into the water. The poor Kamado was throwing a rope into the water to try and fish his friend out. He was only pulled in to the waters, too which lead Muichiro into panic to jump in as well.
The door which lead to the main deck had slammed open. “What the hell is going on?” Uzui was not in a good mood. Obanai trailed behind him.
Tanjirou heaved in exhaustion as he managed to pull both Inosuke and Muichiro out of the waters,”Uzui! We— We are trying to find [Name]!”
Uzui’s angered expression slowly melted into a ‘done’ expression,”You.. You are all idiots.”
“HAH- What did you say?” Sanemi hissed, marching towards the taller man, leaving Genya to be dragged across the floor. Kyojurou walked over to them,”Uzui! Do you know where [Name] is? We believe she’s in the water since we looked all over the boat.”
The sound pillar pinched the bridge of his nose and heaved a sigh. “Have you ever bothered to look up?”
They took a moment to glance up.
“Can [Name] fly or something—“ Zenitsu was knocked out by Uzui punching him in the stomach.
“No, you fucking idiot!” Uzui was ready to throw everyone off the boat. He walked over to the large wooden pole that had the large, white sails strapped to them. About half way up the pole was the crow’s nest. It was hardly noticeable. He climbed the ladder that was attached to the pole to get into the crow’s nest.
When he poked his head into the entrance, the first thing he noticed was a light blue haori decorated of blue petals placed over the head of the missed demon slayer.
It was [Name]. She was curled and pressed against the side of the wall on the floor.
“Oi, [Name]!” Uzui said as he gently pulled her haori off of her head. He recoiled back in surprise to see how sick she looked. Her face was green and definitely looked dizzy.
The sound pillar felt worried. He climbed further to sit on the surface next to her,”Oi, [Name], you alright?”
Her only response was a soft groan. He couldn’t help but just stare in awe. She looked cute when she was sleeping.
He gently brushed his hand against her face, brushing the sweated strands of hair away from her forehead,”Well, it’s not at all flamboyant for you to be up here and not looked at.” He stood up, slipping his arms under her legs and head. He lifted her up and looked down at the other demon slayers who waited below him.
Most of their jaws were dropped.
How did no one check that area?
As Uzui was ready to carefully make his way down the mast of the ship, a large wave slammed into the side of the boat, jolting him.
“Oh shit—“
He tripped and fell against the side of the crow’s nest, fumbling the Moon Hashira, then she fell from his grip. [Name]’s eyes snapped open as she squealed. When she braved herself for impact, she felt herself fall into another pair of arms along with a soft grunt.
Everything around her spun. She absolutely hated the ocean. She knew the moment she stepped onto this boat, she was in for a hell ride. Thus, she had camped in the crow nest of the mast for nearly the entire day. When she opened her eyes, she met eye contact with darken blue eyes.
Giyuu had caught her.
[Name] felt herself grow warm just from the close contact,”Thank you, Gi—“ Her hand flew towards her mouth. She quickly squirmed out of Giyuu’s grasp much to his dismay. She threw half her body over the edge, gagging.
However, she didn’t throw up since she didn’t eat all day. She couldn’t bring herself to go to the kitchen. She was way too sick too. She felt a couple of hands rub her back in some sort of comfort. From the corner of her eye, she could see Kyojurou next to her and Shinobu on the other side.
“We should take you to my room, [Name]. It’s where you won’t feel the ship move as much.” Shinobu suggested,”And I can probably make you some tea to help calm down the nausea.”
“I think we should take her to my room instead, it has a large window and the fresh air is nice.” Muichiro said as he came up behind her.
“My bed is the softest! She needs to comfortable, so she should recover in my room!” Kyojurou declared.
All the hashira began to argue where [Name] should sleep. Tanjirou watched from the sides, befuddled why the Moon Hashira couldn’t just sleep in her own room.
“She doesn’t need the sun, it gives her a headache, my room would be better.” Obanai argued,”And I have Kaburamaru to watch over her too.”
“I have a softest chest she can cuddle into!” Mitsuri declared. All the Hashira went silent for a moment and stared at her.
“[Name] should just sleep in my room! She doesn’t need to deal with you dumb asses!” Sanemi yelled.
“Why would she be in a room so shitty and not flamboyant-“ Sanemi proceeded to punch Uzui in the face. It was now an all out brawl between the two.
Well, until one of them had slammed into [Name].
She gasped was sent over the ledge and into the raging waters with a loud splash. Now was a time time for everyone to freak out.
Giyuu immediately went over the ledge after her. The last thing she saw was Giyuu’s outstretched hand trying to grab her before she submerged into the sea.
Giyuu landed into the area near where she fell, however, he didn’t see her head go back up. He felt the anxiety as he desperately called out her name. He heard someone plummet into the waters next to him. Sanemi gasped as he lifted his head back above the waters,”Damnit, where did she go?! [Name]!”
The Wind Hashira felt another body slam onto the top of his head,”S-sorry, aniki!” Genya apologized as he literally landed on top of his brother.
“Genya, you little shit—!”
As Sanemi proceeded to try and attempt to drown his brother, Giyuu continued to try and look for [Name]. It didn’t take long to notice strands of [Hair]-colored floating up at the surface just a few feet away from him.
He paddles towards the direction and manage to pull [Name]’s upper body up and out of the surface.
[Name] gasped and sputtered. She grasped onto Giyuu’s mismatched haori. She felt his arms wound around her and pull her upwards so she would rest a bit against his chest. She felt Giyuu gently brush the wet strands of hair from her face. [Name]’s posture stiffened as she felt herself go flustered. Before Giyuu could hear anything, more yelling was heard from above.
Giyuu and [Name] looked up.
Rengoku had launched himself from the ledge and into the air; Tanjirou was latched onto his leg, screaming as Rengoku boasted about joining the fun.
“FIGHT ME, GODS OF THE OCEAN.” Inosuke screeched, being the next demon slayer to throw himself overboard.
“You stupid boar! Come here!” Zenitsu tried to grab the beast before falling himself.
“Iguro, Iguro! Let’s join too! This looks like a fun swim!” Kanjiro grabbed the Snake Hashira’s arm and jumped into the ocean, holding the poor man like a rag doll.
Everyone was basically yelling in the waters.
“This is quite a show.” Shinobu laughed as she walked up next to Uzui as he was shaking his head. Then, the commotion stopped.
It was silent.
“Did everyone just die?” Uzui silently muttered as he peered over the ledge. The scene below made him choke.
[Name]’s back was pressed against Rengoku and still squished against Giyuu, rendering her movements. Obanai was nearly on top of Giyuu, his weight slamming Giyuu downwards.
Giyuu’s face would have been in the water, however, it was pressed against [Name]’s farce.
An accidental kiss.
The two hashira fell silent, wide eyed and staring at one another.
Everyone was staring. The atmosphere went cold.
Slowly, Giyuu pulled away from the moon hashira. He stared at her, the look of shock still residing on his face.
“[Name], I—“
.
.
.
“YOU SLY PIECE OF SHIT!” Sanemi yelled as he slammed his elbow on top of Giyuu’s head, shoving Obanai into the water during the process.
“Sanemi, Sanemi! You’re going to drown him!” Tanjirou panicked only to get punched in the face as well.
“If we have to see who is the best in these waters, I will show you!” Kyoujirou shouted as he managed to throw himself over all three men.
[Name] felt Genya gently take her into his arms since he was smart enough to not get involved with the whole fiasco.
[Name] could see Inosuke punching at the waters, hitting Zenitsu in the process.
“Does this mean I won’t get my hair brushed?” Muichirou muttered as he stared at the bundle of demon slayers having an all out brawl in the ocean.

Halloween in CeeWorld
I’m pretty sure I’m supposed to post this.
These drabbles were in Cee’s drafts, so... if I wasn’t supposed to post this, blame it on Y/N.
Enjoy. Or not. It doesn’t really matter to me.
                                    the little ghost (ceo!yoongiverse)
“alright, let’s get this quarantine hwalloween party started!” you clap your hands together as you step into the living room before rubbing them together excitedly, “is everyone excited??”
“as excited as i’ll ever be,” jungkook huffs as he leans back against the sofa chair, “i can’t believe we’re celebrating halloween indoors like a bunch of losers-”
“you’re very much welcome to leave-” yoongi butts in, “and then stay isolated in your own apartment for two weeks after you’re done partying as part of the safety protocol-”
“quick question- why does jungkook get to be the one with the goggles?” jimin gets up from the couch before putting his hands on his hips, “i look way hotter in them-”
you frown lightly before rolling your eyes, “does it matter who gets the goggles-”
“yeah! the goggles ties the entire costume together-”
you and yoongi exchange knowing glances when jungkook and jimin start to bicker over who should get the goggles and you know that if you don’t cut it off right now that they’ll continue to argue until the end of time
“where’s my little ghost?” you interrupt loudly, cupping both hands around your mouth as a makeshift megaphone, “oh, spooky little ghost...”
a moment of silence ticks by and suddenly-
the sound of rapidly approaching little footsteps echoes down the hallway and you grin excitedly, dropping down onto your knees before reaching up to adjust the inflatable proton-pack you have on your back
pap-pap-pap-pap
hwayoung bursts out into the living room wearing a plain white sheet with two holes cut out for her eyes and you feel your heart basically bust out of your chest
you already saw her in her costume earlier when you were getting her ready but
god
it gets you every single time!
you were debating on cutting two holes for her pigtails but then you’d figure she’d look less spooky that way
anD you were going to cut two holes for her arms but that would completely ruin the look of the costume as well
everyone knows ghosts don’t have arms or ponytails
“ᶦ ᵍᵒʰˢᵗ, ᵐᵃᵐᵃᵎ” hwayoung practically ramS her little body directly into you and you laugh lightly when she bounces up and down on the balls of her feet
she leans forward to boop her nose against yours through the sheet, “ᶦ ᵍʰᵒˢᵗ!”
“oh my god-” yoongi snorts, bringing his hand up over his mouth when hwayoung blinks up at him through the sheets, “that’s… that’s hilarious.”
holy shit
that’s so cute
“i have to admit, i thought a blanket ghost was a lazy costume idea, but-” jungkook nudges you aside before looking down at hwayoung with a grin, “look how cute she looks!”
“i know!” you clap your hands before letting out a sigh, “it was actually pretty hard cutting out the eyeholes into two perfect circles.”
“aw, now i’m sad that we don’t get to go trick or treating! we would look so good walking out on the streets-” jimin groans, reaching down to pat the top of hwa’s head, “the ghostbusters with this little itty bitty super scary ghost-”
“ᵇᵒᵒᵎ” hwayoung sticks her arms out from under the sheets and you let out an exaggerated gasp as if she actually scared you
(you don’t miss the way jungkook jumps but you choose not to point it out)
“okay, now what do you say?” you get up off the ground, everyone immediately going off to their designated candy stations at your signal
yoongi’s in the kitchen, jungkook’s in the laundry room, jimin’s in hwa’s bedroom, and you’re the lucky one who gets to accompany your daughter on her candy-collecting journey
“do we know if hwa’s allergic to peanuts yet?” jungkook pokes his head around the corner before holding the bag of mixed candies up, “i think i should eat all the reese’s peanut butter cups just to be safe-”
“ᵗᶦᶜᵏ ᵒʰ ᵗᵉᵃᵗᵎ”
“nuh-uh-” yoongi opens the kitchen door, “what do we really say?”
hwayoung pauses and you frown lightly as you think about his question as well
what does he mean what do you really say?
you really say trick or treat when you go trick-or-treating
what else are you supposed to say??
!!
hwayoung suddenly perks up and reaches up to wrap her hand around your pointer finger to get your attention
you look down at her, “yes?”
“ᵗᶦᶜᵏ ᵒʰ ᵗᵉᵃᵗ ᵖᵉᵃˢᵉᵎ”
“trick or treat, pleas-” you turn around to send yoongi a playful glare, “yoongi, no one says please when they go trick or treating-!”
“we’re not raising an animal, y/n-!”
                              hello, playboy (secretary!yoongiverse)
yoongi doesn’t really understand why halloween is such a big deal
he’s pretty sure it’s just an excuse for people to go out half-naked anD for people to get completely wasted without being judged
sure, he supposes it can be fun for people to dress up and stuff, but at the end of the day, think about it!
you’re wasting money on a costume that you’re literally only going to be wearing ONCE a year and then you’re probably never going to wear it again because you can’t wear the same costume twice in row because everyone knows that’s lame
he’s, personally, never had to worry about costumes before because he literally?? doesn’t dress up or do anything for halloween
but things have changed now that you’re the boss
and one of those things is celebrating halloween with a fun costume party
admittedly, he enjoys company parties because he gets to drink free booze and eat free food all night (last year they served these mini buffalo chicken sliders at the christmas party and he still dreams about them from time to time)
and yeah, it’s nice getting to mingle with his colleagues and not having to worry about any office work
but costume parties are so lame!
he knows you’re only throwing it because you’re trying to prove to people that you’re a fun boss, but if anything, this costume party will make people think you’re trying too hard to be a fun boss, ultimately making you the lamest boss ever
...no offence, obviously
he tried to explain that to you because he,,. really doesn’t wanna see you get hurt again but if there’s one thing that he’s learnt about you, it’s that you’re very stubborn
anyways
he’s waiting for you because you’re changing into your costume in your office and then the two of you are going to head up to the rooftop together
“yoongi, i need you to-” yoongi looks over when you open your office door slightly before sticking your head out, “is that your costume?”
yoongi reaches up to brush his fingers over the flimsy devil’s horns he clipped into his hair before nodding, “yeah. i’m a demon. duh.”
“that’s… yeah, those are devil horns, alright,” you snort, “you didn’t even- c’mon, you’re still wearing your clothes from work-”
“then i’m a secretary from hell.” yoongi lowers his voice before wiggling his fingers spookily, “what did you need me to do?”
“i can’t zip my dress up. do you mind…?” you ask sheepishly and yoongi nods and turns to shut off his monitor seeing as you guys are almost ready to go
“sure thing. also, just a reminder that the party started, like, ten minutes ag- woah.” yoongi turns back around and feels his mouth go dry when he sees the costume you’re in
hello, playboy
he didn’t know that this was the costume you were going with
holy shit
the little black satin dress that you’ve got on is hugging your figure in a way that he’s,.., never seen before,..,
and you usually wear heels to work but these stilettos are making your legs look,.,. wow
black stockings usually aren’t the first thing he thinks of when he thinks sexy but you are most definitely changing his mind about that
“eh, it’s fine.” you sigh before spinning around and moving your hair to one side, “i don’t think anyone cares if i’m even at the party or not, anyway.”
yoongi swallows thickly when he notices the little cotton tail that’s glued onto the back of the dress
nice touch
very nice touch
his brain is telling him to move but he finds that he’s frozen to the spot as his eyes slowly trail up your bare back
you turn your head to glance at yoongi over your shoulder, “yoongi?”
he’s always thought that you were pretty, so that’s not something that’s suddenly being revealed to him or anything
and he’s always thought that you were cute (especially when you make a fool out of yourself trying to get his attention)
but this?
you look… sexy.
really, really sexy.
“yes! sorry, i just- that’s-” he clears his throat and shakes himself out of it, “that’s not true…” he steps forward before gently taking the zipper, “i would care if you weren’t there.”
the zipper glides smoothly against the silky satin as he pulls upwards, yoongi making sure not to snag any loose strands of hair or anything along the way
jesus christ
and you smell good, too
“okay, you’re good.” yoongi steps back and folds both his hands in front of him, “zipper’s, uh, good to go.”
“thanks- also, you’re only saying that because you have to.” you turn around before rolling your eyes playfully
“saying what?”
“that you’d care if i wasn’t at the party.” you repeat, reaching up to adjust the little collar you’re wearing around your neck, “i know everyone hates me, yoongi. you don’t have to sugarcoat it.”
“i’m not sugarcoating it!” yoongi scoffs, watching you struggle with the buttons in your cuffs for a moment before automatically reaching out to help you, “…and who cares what they think, anyway? at the end of the day, you’re the boss.” he nods firmly, looking up at you, “now lemme hear you say it.”
you chuckle nervously before looking away, “i’m not gonna-”
“come on...” your heart skips a beat when yoongi hooks a finger under your chin to turn your head back to face him, “just once? for me?”
god
he really knows how to pull your strings, doesn’t he?
you let out a sigh
“i’m the boss.” you mumble sheepishly, reaching up to scratch the back of your neck
you’re the boss
you’re the boss
...you’re the boss.
you have the power to fire all of these people. (not that you’re going to, but... you know)
so why are you so scared of them??
your brows knit together and you stand up a little straighter, “yeah… i am the boss…!”
“that’s right!” yoongi chirps, nudging you aside so he can quickly turn your office lights off and shut the door for you, “now, we’re going to go up to the party and we’re going to have a good time and you’re not going to sit there worrying about what other people think about you-”
“yeah! i’m not!” you grin, reaching up to fix the bunny ears sitting on your head
yoongi smiles before holding his arm out for you, “c’mon, bunny. let’s go show everyone who’s boss.”
                              sweeter than frosting (lveb!jooniverse)
“i’m back!”
you look up from your mixing bowl when you hear the front door slam shut
yoongi glances over his shoulder before looking back at you, “are we really going to spend the entire day baking?”
you nod before shrugging as if telling him that it is what it is
you usually get a lot of orders whenever it’s a holiday, and halloween is no different because,.,. duh
halloween parties all over the city!
the thing is, you didn’t think that you’d get a lot of orders this year because of social distancing and all of that, but you were sorely mistaken
you have forty-five orders today and you’re pretty sure you’ve bitten off way more than you can chew
your average is like fifteen orders a day
obviously you’re super grateful for the business because money is good and nice and helps to pay for bills or whatever but
woW
these are a lot of orders!!!!!
and you have to do everything by yourself!!
yoongi’s actually supposed to be helping you, but his version of helping you is sitting on his ass and occasionally handing you a tool every now and then
at one point you asked him to hand you a piping bag and he handed you a spoon which??? how?? did he even???
how did he mix up piping bag and spOON
he also eats whatever leftover bits you shave off the top of a cake or whatever frosting is unused
so, all in all... not very helpful.
it’s nice to have company, though!
yoongi even suggested to put on a spooky movie to keep the two of you somewhat in the holiday spirits while you work your butt off
he insisted that you guys watch something really scary and super bloody so he’s.,,. not entirely sure how you ended up convincing him to watch wallace and gromit: the curse of the were-rabbit
“how’s it going in here?” namjoon steps into the kitchen and almost instantly the corners of your mouth turn up in a bright smile
he offered to be one of your delivery boys today to help out and you would’ve jumped his bones right then and there if it weren’t for the presence of yoongi and hoseok in the living room
he’s just!!!!
he gets more and more perfect every single day :’)
“going okay...” you gesture to the multiple mixing bowls around the kitchen, “halfway done!”
“mm, would you look at that.” yoongi mutters to himself as he keeps his eyes glued on the laptop screen, “that is indeed a were-rabbit...”
“are you- are eating the frosting or are you helping y/n frost the cupcakes?” namjoon pauses to look at the bowl that yoongi has cradling to his chest, yoongi humming as he sucks off the remainder of the frosting off his spoon
“eating!” “helping.”
both you and yoongi speak up at the same time and you two look at each other before exchanging knowing glances
“eating.” “…yeah. eating.”
yoongi leans over to pause the movie before turning in his stool to look at namjoon
“waht are you thuppothed ta be?” yoongi asks, the spoon hanging from his mouth carelessly as he turns to look at namjoon
namjoon perks up when he realizes that he must be referring to his super fun halloween costume
he reaches up to brush his fingers over the little beansprout clip he has in his hair with a grin, “a sprout!”
he was trying to think of a creative plant-based costume but there weren’t a lot of options for grown adult men like himself
there was a broccoli costume that he could’ve pretended was a tree, but… it’s very clearly broccoli
so this was the next best thing!
and it was pretty cheap too, so that’s a bonus
“i think it’s cute.” you giggle, leaning up to press a kiss to namjoon’s cheek, “very cute!”
“mm, i think you’re cute-” namjoon grins cheekily, slinking an arm around your waist and pulling you in closer so that you can give him a proper kiss
“-!”
yoongi immediately groans and looks up towards the ceiling, “god, you guys are sick-”
“uh, says the one eating frosting by the spoonful-“ namjoon pulls away for a split second and laughs lightly when you turn his head to get him to kiss you again
heh
:-)
                                  wa-hoo! [roommate!taehyungiverse]
“alright, people, let’s get this show on the roa- oh, jesus-!” namjoon immediately spins around as soon as he barGEs into the apartment, his face going bright red
uh
he just got a very good look at taehyung’s bare ass which was the last thing he was excepting when he walked in here
well
maybe not the last thing he was expecting
“what the fu- ever heard of ringing the bell?!” taehyung rolls off of you before pulling his overalls up so that namjoon doesn’t see both his ass and his dick in the span of three seconds, “this isn’t even your friggin’ apartment anymor-” he turns to look at you, “hey, why does namjoon still have a key, anyway?”
you get up off the couch before pulling your skirt down a little, “in case we both lose ours! he’s also my emergency contact number.”
“okay, but- wait, why aren’t i your emergency contact number?” taehyung frowns, placing both hands on his hips
“okay, we don’t have time to do couple’s counselling- are you two ready to go or not?” namjoon turns his head a little to make sure that everyone’s clothed and no body parts are carelessly hanging out
phew
he’s in the clear
oh, jesus
what makes things worse is the fact that you guys are dressed up as mario and luigi
THEY’RE BROTHERS
AND BROTHERS DON’T DO WHAT YOU GUYS WERE JUST DOING
“yeah, yeah, we’re ready to go-” taehyung raises a brow as he sticks his green hat back on, “why are we even going barhopping anyway? it’s not going to be fun having to get our temperature checked every time we go into a building-“
“it’s halloween!” you hand him his mask (you guys stuck the moustaches onto the mask, which you think is a pretty clever way to deal with the whole mask wearing situation) “and now that conditions are slightly better, we have to take advantage!”
“c’mon, mario, get your heels on-” namjoon claps his hands to get your guys’ attention, “i’m parked out front and i do not want my car getting towed-”
“okay, gimme a sec-” taehyung gives your bum a swat when you bend over to step into your heels and you let out a gasp as you shoot straight back up with pink cheeks, “taehyung!”
“what?” taehyung raises both his hands in defence, “i couldn’t not smack it-”
namjoon’s face twists in discomfort
he’s completely fine with the pda
what he’s bothered by are the costumes and the mental image of luigi smacking mario’s ass that’s now burned into his mind forever
he’s… going to stay away from super smash bros for a while.

n°2 - “Have I already told you how cute you look?”
Thank you fluff Queen!💕
Eeeee! Let us return them to all the world’s a stage with these sweet beans and our favorite douchy Uncle Viserys! Bonus points because I included supportive brother Vis!
2. “Have I already told you how cute you look?”
Romantic One Liner Prompts
Tumblr media
There were many things Jon Snow had been able to escape, but this was not one of them. He could get out of red carpet events, interviews, and galas. He could weasel himself out of parent-teacher conferences, playdates, and other various responsibilities that he just felt like at the time were contrary to his mood, his muse, and his creative drive.
This was not one of them.
Dany knew he didn't want to escape the event itself, but the way in which he had to attend the event, that was something he couldn't get out of. He made a fuss, wanting to know how come he couldn't just go as a side character, as the supportive husband, what have you, but nope.
"Have I told you how cute you look?"
He scowled, tugging down the very tight white vest, with its shimmery silver thread, the white pants tucked into tall boots, and accompanying plastic sword. "Not in the last five minutes."
"Well you look so cute. My perfect Prince Charming."
"Mummy!"
She glanced down at her daughter, who was wearing the dragon costume, a bright jade and lime green creation, toddling towards her. She chuckled, kneeling and lifted her baby dragon into her arms, kissing Lyella's sticky cheek. She frowned, taking the lollipop from her. "Where did you get this?"
"Vizzy!"
Ugh, my brother. The villain himself, Sorcerer Dread the Night King-- redundant name-- happened to be hiding away, because he didn't want to be seen in the campy black and red costume of the villain from Princess Periwinkle. She plucked the lollipop from her three-year-old, wagging it at her. "No candy."
Lyella pouted, sticking her tongue out. "Mummy, not Charming."
Jon burst out laughing. "You're not charming!"
"No, you are not Charming." Her words were thick and she pointed, scowling at her father. "Prince Kit."
Dany's brows arched, countering her husband, whose mouth fell slightly. "Ha! She knows your character. You aren't Prince Charming, you're Prince Kit of Catesby. Get it right."
"He's a complete buffoon!"
"He's the comic relief."
Jon huffed, tugging at the tight pants, which conformed very nice to his shapely thighs and his even better arse. He'd forgone the codpiece, although she suggested it for later. He plucked at the spandex fabric, wincing. "Dany! They're going up my arse!"
"It's such a lovely arse."
"It's a children's hospital!"
She laughed. "Don't worry, I'm the only one looking at that bum." She walked by, smacking it and he jumped, but his pupils dilated, a low growl caught in his throat. Her voice dropped, whispering. "And if anyone else does they have me to deal with."
"Yes my Queen."
"Princess!"
Lyella was not wrong there; she was indeed Princess Periwinkle, in the lilac costume, with its yards of sparkling tulle, ribbons, and accessories, making her resemble a disco ball. She had gone all out this time, for the children's hospital's annual fundraising event, a worthy cause to return to Princess Periwinkle. And she managed to convince her husband, child-- that was not difficult at all-- and her brother.
She furrowed her brow. "Where is my brother?"
"Do we really care?" Jon wondered, taking Lyella from her. He sighed at his reflection in the floor-length mirror. "Best get on with it."
"The children thank you for your sacrifice, Prince Kit of Catesby," she laughed, pinching his bum on the way out the door and down the stairs.
At the base of the staircase, near the open door, Davos was waiting with Missandei. She posed for a few candid shots that her best friend took, laughing at the silliness of it all. She hopped off the bottom step, turning and hollered up, hands cupped over her mouth to magnify her voice. "Oi! Get your skinny arse down here Vis!"
"No! Not until I'm high enough!"
"I will come up there and drag you out myself and we both know who the real dragon is in this family!"
A door slammed somewhere in Vis's Wing of Darkness, where no one ventured unless they had all their shots and a death wish. He emerged from the shadows, glowering, his silver hair cut off and sweeping over his forehead in a new style that he'd only gotten because Leylla had found bubblegum and decided to play with it while he'd been passed out. Sadly, the silver tresses had had to go.
It suited him, the short hair, she thought, laughing as he descended in the red and black caped costume, resembling a magician rather than an actual villain. Lyella reached for him. "Vizzy!" she shouted. She simpered. "I love you."
"Ugh," he complained, but it was all for show. He shook his head, disgusted. "I cannot believe I am doing this!"
"Think of the happiness you will be providing to the children," Jon said. He closed his eyes, sighing. "Never mind, that would require you to have a heart."
Not that her brother heard him, as Viserys's eyes had glazed over, dollar signs obviously pulsing from them. He glanced between them both, salivating. "Oh, yes....I like this...I understand now...You both are going to do this on camera, right?"
"No!" they shouted.
Dany punched his shoulder. "It's for charity Vis, not attention. The hospital will put out a press release and some choice photos, but that is not the point of this. It's to provide these children a break from the fact they are locked in a hospital fighting for their lives." She grabbed his arm, pulling him to the door. "Even you can spare the single cell in your heart for that. Now come on, we'll be late."
They got to the hospital, which had already prepared a large room for the children, and she swept in, in full Princess Periwinkle, keeping her emotions at bay. Each time she saw the children, so many of them with visible signs of their illnesses and conditions, it broke her heart. It made her grateful every second for her healthy child and simultaneously guilty too, because her baby was healthy and these parents were going through her worst nightmare.
She pressed it down, taking in their gleeful faces, all of them forgetting where they were, because Princess Periwinkle had decided to visit. They were delighted to see her little dragon with her along with Prince Kit of Catesby, the two of them taking seats at the front, and she began to weave a tale, dramatically beginning: "Once upon a time, in a land far, far away, there lived a princess, who only ever wanted to live a normal life, but alas, she could not, because this princess, well she was different..."
It was a childish telling of her story with Jon, one she'd come up with for the event, and she caught his sight, when he realized it, and beamed. He began to weave in his own story-- he was the true storyteller of them both-- forgetting that he hated actors and became one himself. Even Lyella joined in, crawling across the floor and pretending to 'rawr' when necessary.
And then Viserys jumped in, the villain, and everyone shouted and with the plastic swords they'd been given, attacked him and beat him back-- she failed to tell him that part-- concluding the harrowing tale with Princess Periwinkle donning the crown and wielding the Sword of Truth, vowing to always be herself, no matter what anyone thought.
"Because being yourself is the best happiness you can have at all," she ended, sweeping into a curtsey.
One of the children waved their hands, shouting. "But what about prince Kit? And the Princess?"
Jon swept her into his arms, placing a kiss lightly to her lips, half the crowd (mostly girls) cooing and the other half (mostly boys) gagging at the display of affection. His smile radiated pure joy at her. "And they lived..."
"Happily ever after!" everyone exclaimed.
Dany chuckled, accepting the second kiss her husband-- and her true prince-- dropped to her mouth. She picked up Lyella, handing her off so Jon could sign autographs as "Prince Kit" and caught sight of Vis, who was fussing with a makeup mirror in the corner. She furrowed her brow, concerned, and went to him, voice soft. "VIs? You alright?"
"Allergies," he said airily.
Her eyes widened, recognizing the shine in his lilac irises. He ducked his head away, sniffing and dusted his nose with powder. "Vis are you..." This has never happened before, what do I do? "Are you crying?"
"No!"
She laughed, reaching up and hugged him, ignoring his stiff posture until he relaxed into her. She kissed his cheek, murmuring. "You like to be the villain, dear brother, but you're really not. Maybe in another story, but not this one." She broke away, just in time for a photographer to come by and take a snap, of Vis still holding his arms around her shoulders briefly, the two silver-haired Targaryens smiling at each other.
That evening, after they had returned home, with Lyella fast asleep in her Uncle Vizzy's arms-- and photos taken to prove to Viserys that he did love his niece contrary to his protests-- Dany left them on the couch where they'd fallen, and journeyed up to her wing of the townhouse, discovering her prince was still in his costume, playing with the plastic sword.
She watched him a moment, until he saw her reflection in the mirror by the bathroom, and froze. "HOw long have you been standing there?" he demanded.
"Long enough."
He spun on his heel, smirking. He fiddled with the sword. "Been awhile since I actually wielded Longclaw, I was practicing."
She laughed, closing the door, and on a whim, flicked the lock. He arched his brow, a smile curving up slyly. "What are you doing Princess Periwinkle?"
"I seem to have lost my sword, perhaps you can help me find it."
"Hmm....I don't know where it possibly could be."
She tugged him by the belt, towards the bed, and laughed, falling backwards into the voluminous tulle skirts. "I think I have an idea, for your pants are so tight, my prince."
"I knew there had to be a reason for it."
"Let me help you with them."
"Oh thank you princess, I am most grateful."
Dany nipped his lower lip, giggling. "So show me."
