I will say I really like it how the nature of this guy is just... so easygoing... thinking of Hanako, Kou, some other characters reactions to this, I find they will be so surprised, shocked, they will make a fuss about that thing. Tsukasa on the other hand... ok, first he showed a little surprised face, then...? "You've became little, huh?" asked this in a normal manner? Then just went "oh, well."... he is too calm and relaxed! Really... what is the thing to shake Tsukasa hard and get him reacting too much??? aside from the time he was told Amane was gonna kill him

I had this thought before while just casually wondering if we switched between the twins... how Nene would end up looking in here:

Would she… have cat-like eyes? little fangs? and Tsu's really playful and really energetic persona?

So um... wonder if that's what he actually meant in there?

Another thing that came to mind... is whether that would be effective or not? In a fixed system like this... I wonder if getting the kannagi girl possessed is all it takes to easily get things done? If that's the case, getting rid of this system is so easy for any ghost who has the ability to possess people. So I wonder, maybe once the kannagi girl is possessed she is no longer considered a completely pure kannagi? and that means nothing will come out of possessing her to get the job done? Though, if that's what Tsukasa meant... I think he must be an exception in some way.

Thinking about what might happen after ch 106 ends gets me really lost...

What will happen next with Tsukasa and Nene? will she destroy the yorishiro while being little like this or would she come back to her original form before that? Would Teru, Akane and Hanako catch Tsukasa and Nene or would they reach when the dead is over and just get Nene back? Like... it feels a bit soon to get Teru catching Tsukasa? Then what about Kaku and Mirai? They still didn't show up. They will make an appearance? so? what might happen between them and Tsukasa? if they caught him? Too many confusing questions. It really feels special this is the first time if we forgot No.6 the other side takes charge "personally" of getting the yorishiro destroyed. This time not anyone, but Tsukasa himself. We know how sensitive and special his case is...... so...... too many questions on how things may turn out.......

............ and yes. I'm stopping here. Don't want to keep going and get more confused that I already am. I'm excited to see how things would be solved.

Ch 106: Random thoughts part 2

And so, the game started! How fun!!! The dash she made with how she looked had me laughing hard. Love her expressions and words next, SAME GOES FOR TSU. He looks really silly... then cool! His face when counted zero… oh boy… he is enjoying himself too much. ♡ Just perfect!

I did make a joke before saying Nene might end up running at full speed from Tsu... but this thing is way better!

Glady!! Natsukane starts as a slowburn to me, but when it gets going, it burns fast!

Natsuhiko’s type is someone that’s sweet at heart but also cold and harsh, mean even, and Akane can be brutal when he isn’t in love.

No matter how scathing the death glare or how baffled Akane looks, Natsuhiko will still call him “Akane-chan” since he is younger and "adorable" and "looks hot when he’s angry". Akane strictly calls him "Hyuuga-senpai (derogatory)" back, keeping his displeasure clear and ignoring Natsu’s insistence to be called "Natsuhiko senpai."

Any flirting attempts was met with an unimpressed look or a disgusted glare from Akane. Maybe, in a good day, a goofy pick-up line will get Akane to crack a dry snort, which is always the highlight of Natsuhiko’s day, but once Akane learns he is a playboy his tolerance drop to negative.

Akane is a hopeless romantic at heart, and extremely loyal, he doesn’t believe it’s true love if it isn’t with an all consuming love, and he definitely doesn’t do meaningless make outs or whatever the flirt has in mind, so he ignores Natsuhiko’s compliments as if it was a cheap commercial. He slaps him when Natsuhiko gets so excited he holds Akane's hand to put emphasis in his love declarations, being harsh enough for Natsuhiko to get the memo and not try to touch him again, though Natsu still flicks his hair or pokes the frames of his glasses to call his attention sometimes, which isn’t enough to make Akane explode. Overall, Akane just follows Sakura lead and treat Natsuhiko like air.

Natsuhiko just falls more and more in love, seeing how dedicated and helpful Akane is with everyone and convinced the boy cold shoulder is his way to show his love!

While Natsuhiko is a hopeless simp, he is also a very sweet boy, he gives Akane drinks when he is stressed, having asked aoi-chan what’s his favorite, he let him vent when he is overwhelmed, he acts like a gentleman and gives him his jacket when it gets cold, (which Akane would usually appreciate, but he rejects on principle) and while Natsuhiko can’t be around all the time because of different classes, when he is, he tries to help “his hard working Akane-chan” as best he can. He isn’t all that useful with handling budget or school work, but he can fetch any item Akane ask of him, and he even tried to convince Teru to go easier on Akane (he didn’t succeed but there was an attempt) , he does so much, constantly ready to help if Akane have any problems! 

Despite being determined to ignore him, Akane recognizes hard work when he sees it, subconsciously paying more attention, which means he actually processes what Natsuhiko says, noticing the way Natsuhiko looks at him.

Akane doesn’t know what to do when Natsuhiko compliments his eyes with a lovestruck look, he isn’t used to being so bluntly loved. He tries to play his compliment down but that just pushes Natsuhiko to lean in his personal space and insist he can get lost in his eyes for hours. Akane is startled by how sincere he sounds, and he catches himself staring at the mirror later that day, feeling... kind of pretty. It’s strange, Akane usually doesn’t care about how he looks, just following whatever Aoi wants or putting on the first decent shirt he sees.

The next time he catches Natsuhiko staring at him like he is a work of art he gets self-conscious. He tries to ignore it and just focus on his work but he can’t help being embarrassed, not seeing how the tiniest of blushes melted Natsuhiko to his core.

He absently thanks Natsuhiko the next time the older boy gets him his favorite drink, finding it kind of… cute… how delighted such a small action makes him.

Akane starts thinking about him when Natsuhiko isn’t around, not too much but still… Idol songs and heart-shaped candy and silly tv show characters reminded him of Natsuhiko. He even brought a keychain of a winking cat on impulse.

Akane throws the keychain at Natsuhiko the next day cause he is tired of having a staring contest with the stupid thing “There, it reminded me of you”, And all Akane expected in return for the cheap gift was an excited thank you and maybe for the goof to hug the keychain like a lovesick fool. He was completely caught off guard when Natsuhiko got emotional, so excited and touched he picked up Akane and spun him in the air before declaring how much he love it! And how his Akane-chan is so sweet and he will treasure the keychain forever!!

Akane is left frozen in place, extremally red and off balanced, he is not touched much and he definitively is not picked up much?? What just happened??  He tries to recompose himself as quickly as possible but Natsuhiko still teases him about it. Akane huffs at him for it, though it doesn’t have much heat, focusing on the way his present was visibly valued, dangling from Natsuhiko’s belt.

The next day Natsuhiko give him a keychain of a grumpy cat wearing glasses, so they can match!! Akane's heart skips a beat, so eager to put on his backpack, that it surprises Natsuhiko.

…When Akane starts to fall, he fall hard.

He starts liking being called Akane-chan, cause is special, and he stares back at Natsuhiko, getting into strange staring contests that tends to end with Natsuhiko winking and Akane feeling embarrassed, realizing Natsuhiko is really handsome? And his dramatic winks are adorable?? How can someone be so cute?? 

Akane always talks about Natsuhiko to Lemon, and it goes from complaints like “He is so tall, and infuriating! I don't know what his fucking game is but I know he is looking down on me! Bastard." to “...He got me coffee again. I had a headache so I didn't drink it, and he actually got worried. He noticed. He took the coffee away and got me a sweet tea … I don't get it Yamabuki. Why does he do this? I am so harsh on him, but he is always so sweet. Maybe he does actually love me…? But i see him flirting with other girls and… I don't know. I really don't know…"  To  "He is so cute! And handsome and sweet and i love him so much, his taste in movies is awful but he is such a gentleman, he gives such good hugs and he brought me this book cause it reminded him of me! And if anyone hurts him I'll murder them.” 

At first, Akane is so flustered he is barely functional, cause he is in love and he actually gets all the love he craves back. He is showered in affection nonstop! He’ll think about kisses and boom, Natsuhiko is already kissing his hand and asking for permission to kiss more. He melts at every compliment and leans in every touch, genuinely delighted when Natsuhiko writes him a love song, they got the same sap at heart

But when Akane adapts it's game over to Natsuhiko. Cause Akane is the most perceptive and thoughtful little shit around, plus he actually knows how to flirt and he can be very assertive, he doesn't tolerate bullshit. He’ll buy Natsuhiko’s favorite hair dye brand and offer to help him dye it, almost driving Natsuhiko to tears when he gently wash his hair. He'll grab Natsuhiko's collar and drag him into a strong kiss when Natsuhiko start babbling too much and getting in the way of his studies, promising to continue if Natsu let him finish this homework. He'll give him homemade chocolate and take advantage of when Natsuhiko lifts him up to kiss his forehead.

Overall they'll just be very sappy.

Turning around, the sight makes his heart stutter.

It’s (L/n)-chan again.

They’re bowing at an almost ninety-degree angle, delicate hands shaking a little as they hold out an even more delicately wrapped box.

He ignores the heat fighting to meet his cheeks as he carefully reaches forward, not wanting to spook them again.

“Ah, thank you-”

The second the gift met his hands they were already at least three yards back and away.

He caught a glimpse of those bright, sparkling (e/c) eyes, looking overjoyed at him, before they left his sight as they turned tail and ran, clearly as quick as their shoes could carry them.

His heart sings fondly, despite their hasty getaway.

(L/n)-chan was good at what they did.

Both gifts-wise and in the way that they managed to run away from him each and every time they made contact.

It truly was amazing how they managed to slip right between his fingers each and every time he reached out to them, he honestly couldn’t even find it in himself to be the slightest bit frustrated with them.

He looks down at the gift left in his hands.

They stopped at their friend’s curious, squinting eyes at them.

“What’s with that look? Stop that. I don’t-”

Their eyes had followed their sneaky friend’s gaze, pausing on the abnormality.

(Y/n) was sure their name had never looked so fancy until that moment!

Immediately, curiosity lighting a sudden fire under them as they snatch the bag away, “My name, not yours.”

The girl groans dramatically as (Y/n) peers excitedly inside.

From what they can see, there are three things inside.

A box, a rose, and a letter.

They’re more than happy to shove their hand in and grab the first thing it touches.

Which happens to be the rose, they note in surprise when they pull it out.

“Oi! Be more careful, you could cut yourself, genius.”

However, as they inspect the rose, they quickly find that’s not true! There’s not a single thorn protruding from the stem- and oh gosh it smells so nice!

They gently set it on the desk, ignoring the fact it’s quickly plucked up by their friend for a squinty-eyed inspection.

They pull out the letter next.

They have to look away, heart fluttering too much to continue.

This really was meant for them? Someone with this fancy of handwriting was actually giving them something?

They try to calm their excitement, trying to focus enough to read the card.

The stranger had been doing this for a month now, and they had no way to put a gentle stop to it.

And as wonderful as it might seem to put down their love for the school prince and settle for this wonderful admirer of theirs…

They just couldn’t manage it.

So, today, when they found a pristine letter sitting on their desk, opportunity shone a light on them.

‘Please, meet me at the fountain in front of the school after classes let out. There’s something I should tell you.’

They ignore that the words set their face aflame as they continue finally.

“I’m in love with Minamoto-san.”

Their heart pounds in their ears as they hang their head low, hoping to show their respect.

“I’m very sorry, I hope you can understand.”

If no one was there after all, this random bird would at least know of their condolences.

“Ah. I see.”

They hastily whip around, horror nearly knocking them right off their feet, threatening to yank them to a painful concrete fate.

Their brain couldn’t even begin to comprehend what their eyes were trying to shove at it.

Minamoto Teru standing across the fountain from them.

Despite their tongue’s valiant struggle to keep their mouth shut, they force the words out regardless, however unintelligent.

“You said, and I quote-” there’s a wide, dazzling smile gracing his perfect face, “I’m in love with Minamoto-san.”

“Oh… Did I?” They scratch the back of their neck, “W-Well, I- uh, I- surely meant uhm…”

They short circuit for a moment.

Then stick a finger at him, rebutting, “Kou-kun. Yeah!”

They hastily look back up to meet his gaze, ignoring the fear coursing through their veins, praying for some divine intervention to make him believe their shitty lie.

“Really? Because last time I checked you’ve always called me Minamoto-san.”

This was NOT the divine intervention they asked for.

He takes a step forward.

They take a step back.

“Plus, I think Kou would mention if a cute upperclassman was showering him with gifts.”

Shit! He was right!

Dammit- they forgot- oh no, the gifts, he had all the evidence! He even had a statement directly from their lips!

Wait- did he say cute?

They looked up at him oddly, finding him right before them now.

The beautiful laugh that leaves his lips is both a blessing and a curse.

“Yes, you, (Y/n),” he tells them attentively, those bright blue eyes sparkling under the afternoon sun, “You’re not running away this time.”

He’d ruined their only plan before they had even thought about it!

“I wasn’t going to run away,” they blatantly lie, looking away to try and calm their unhinged heart.

They note the gentle squeeze he gives the grip on their shoulders, a lightly placed threat.

A threat they couldn’t find themselves minding all that much.

“But…”

They look up at him as he looks away, much to their surprise.

Wait, wait, wait.

“Why do you always run away…?”

They were almost too busy ascending at his adorable face to realize his words.

Their response is simple.

“Panic.”

He looks back down at them to raise a brow, “Why?”

They reach up to scratch their burning cheek.

Well, no point in beating around the bush now. They had literally told him of their feelings to his face.

“W-Well, I- uhm. I wasn’t actually ever planning on… y’know… confessing… to you…” their voice grows quieter with each awkward pause, absently poking their pointer fingers together repeatedly.

“And why not?” He asks as if there aren’t as many reasons not to as there are bugs in the wild.

“Wh- Because!” They hastily look up at him, frowning, not upset with him, but at the nightmare that had become their reality, “Y-You get confesses to a lot- and uhm, I didn’t want to bother you. So…”

The bar their lashes, trying to process when his forehead presses against theirs.

“So, you just never considered the possibility of me liking you back?”

They’re quiet, too fixated on his shining eyes to even speak.

“Because, (Y/n), I do,” he says softly, letting his words linger in the little space between them, “I’ve liked you for months now.”

“A-Are you sure?” They whisper, scarves to say the wrong thing and make him pull away.

A small smile finds his lips.

“Yes, (Y/n). I’m sure.”

“Like… really really sure? On a scale from one to ten-“

On a scale from one to ten, his lips were on theirs, shutting them right up.

Observations about Tsukasa

Tsukasa really is a weird and controversial character and while I get this would happen with his status as a villain regardless of his actual personality, I still feel obligated to point out some things about him that people seem to overlook.

Tsukasa’s backstory is still almost a complete mystery but I would argue his personality is strong enough that one can have a fairly good idea of his character. The thing about Tsukasa is that while a lot about him is unclear, what is clear is that he’s very, very immature and childish.

Disclaimer: I am not an expert in children’s behavior. So, if I make mistakes or inaccurate assumptions, forgive me. And of course because we live in a society, I have to bring up incest as a topic. Bah.

For some of these translations I’d like to credit @just-a-little-hanako-obsessed​ and @jibakukarasu​. 

So, let’s review.

Tsukasa, like a lot of children, is often motivated by the fact that he can, so he will.

This in particular vaguely reminds me of Undertale, which has this very notable quote. It’s important to note that while this is directed to the player who can be of any age, the player character is a child.

no matter what, you'll just keep going. not out of any desire for good or evil... but just because you think you can. and because you can... you have to.

I’ve mentioned in a previous post that Tsukasa is someone who defies the idea of order. He, in his own words, believes that people and apparitions should do whatever they want.

What a rebellious child!

Another thing about Tsukasa that shows his childishness is how he’s pretty literal-minded. He doesn’t pick up on implied meaning nor suggestions.

He also shows a very simplistic way of thinking, one void of consideration towards social cues and what is or isn’t socially appropriate.

Honestly, Tsukasa’s relationship with Sakura is pretty...different to the usual as well. Because Sakura is Nene’s foil, you’d think her relationship with Tsukasa would have hints of romantic tension in at least a similar way.

But while Tsukasa is similarly clingy as Hanako is, there’s zero tension in that regard. In fact...

This approach more or less de-sexualizes Tsukasa, diminishing his potential as a lover/partner and instead literally putting him on the level of a domesticated pet, specifically a cat, which...while they can be trained, they’re still notoriously fickle and prone to doing as they please.

Not dissimilar to young children!

Fun fact: cats bond with humans in a way very similar to how babies bond with their guardians! It’s true! Here’s a video on the matter!

Although note that cats are also known for hunting for pleasure rather than necessity. Still not dissimilar to children, tbh, even the more normal ones because it’s not uncommon to be especially dickish to bugs when you’re younger. I know I in particular was prone to kicking over anthills. Like. All the time. I don’t anymore. Ants bite.

More on Tsukasa and...uh...sexuality??? I guess??? We should compare him to his brother in this regard... I... I guess.

Hanako’s definitely a pervert with a thick leg fetish. Like, it’s not up for debate. A lot of comedic relief involves his perverse tendencies.

Let’s compare this to Tsukasa. First of all, as shown before, we already know that his response to this would be along the lines of “can’t you do all that already?” and would not understand why you...shouldn’t. Rather than dwelling on that, let’s look at this scene.

Compared to Hanako, Tsukasa’s interest in sexual things is pretty...pure??? I guess??? While he is curious, he’s not really perverse. Even when admitting to flipping Sakura’s skirt, he does so in a way that screams childish. He doesn’t display the kind of excitement a guy with sexual interests would have, it’s just matter-of-fact and you could easily call it even innocent.

He just wants to know about these things because he’s heard about them and the supposed significance of such gestures, not because he himself has any personal interest in them.

But speaking of Amane... Yeah, this is definitely the most controversial part of Tsukasa’s character. And while I’ve analyzed their relationship before, I’m not...really all for discussing the extent of weird shit going on between them, up to and especially the suggestive overtones because goddamn do I not want to be involved in The Discourse, but uNFORTUNATELY it’s relevant so I’m gonna have to bring it up.

How to do so in the least awkward way...

Okay so, Tsukasa’s fixation on his brother sure is a thing. There’s definitely an intent to make it uncomfortable on some level. Villainous incest is, unfortunately, a popular trope. One that I am not going to analyze here because I don’t want to. BUT, there are other tropes about inappropriate sibling relationships that are also pretty prevalent in Japanese media.

For one thing, the inappropriately attached sibling is often inappropriately attached due to immaturity.

“I want to marry my big brother!” isn’t an uncommon sentiment among “imoutos” and even Hanako-kun has a scene playing into it.

(It’s not scanlated, sorry, but I swear to god the line “I’m gonna marry big bro when I get older” is somewhere in here.)

But yeah while some probably see Tsukasa’s attachment to his brother in a villainous light, I argue that there’s an intent to frame it as childish/immature as well, especially in their later interactions.

Building on the mention that Tsukasa is pretty much lacking in any open sexual interest beyond the purely childish curiosity, I think we are supposed to view Tsukasa’s attachment to Hanako/Amane in a similar manner. That the reason why Tsukasa is so clingy with him is due to immaturity. While it’s still undoubtedly inappropriate, this framing and display of Tsukasa’s attachment as single-minded and immature can be viewed as ultimately innocuous the same way Tiara thinks she’d like to marry Teru in the future. The fact that Tsukasa isn’t possessive (as shown before) also makes me think we aren’t supposed to vilify him for his attachment. It’s really just the rest of Tsukasa’s personality that’s the problem.

Admittedly, the vague relationship history between the twins does make sweeping judgement difficult. So, like, things might change in the future. But this is the vibe I’m getting thus far and I do hope it’s not twisted for shock value later because I don’t think it’d be very good writing, lol.

But yeah, my point is that Tsukasa is really immature and childish. Really, really immature and childish. It comes across in every aspect of his character from his cruelty to his motivations to his attachments. While he’s still a villain, I do think we shouldn’t forget that he’s also...very much a child.

And that maybe this should be heavily considered before jumping to any conclusions.

Shou gets a dog.

It wasn’t something he’d planned, and he’d always wanted a cat, but he catches Reigen browsing a pet adoption site one night when Shou is supposed to be asleep. It wouldn’t have meant anything on its own, but he’s shaken awake along with Teru a few mornings later and Reigen announcing that they’re gonna swing by the local shelter, “just to check it out”. Reigen kept his money tightly in his pockets, for good reason, so Shou still didn’t expect much to come of it. Still, seeing animals always lifted his spirits, so he wasn’t going to say anything against it. 

It’s a short jaunt to the shelter. The air’s chilly but not biting, Shou watches his own breath billow in front of him and thinks of dragons the whole way there. 

“We’re just looking,” Reigen reminds them for the hundredth time. At this point, it’s pretty obvious he’s trying to keep himself in line, muttering on about living space and having to take care of two (sometimes three, whenever Tome decided to crash at the house for no real reason) kids. Teru says something in reply, but Shou’s barely paying attention. He just nods along because he gets to see dogs and cats and whatever else was being housed here. 

It takes a whole five minutes before his heart’s stolen. 

There’s an all black German shepherd, maybe three years old, and she looks so sad. The worker with them explains she was left behind when the whole situation in January went down, when the city was evacuated, and her family apparently never claimed her back. Shou’s heart wrenches into a tighter knot at this. He understands, to a degree, that when something crazy like what happened happens not everyone can afford to bring their pets with them, but to not come back for her? The feeling that wells up in him when he meets the dogs eyes again - it’s a little close to home.

Her name’s Michiko. He plays with her while Reigen and Teru continue their exploration of the place. She’s a sweet thing, well trained, knows a handful of tricks. She has a dopey smile. He rolls her a ball, she nudges it back. He loves her. 

When Reigen comes back to check on them and finds Shou with Michiko curled on his lap, he just sighs. “Alright.” 

“Alright?” 

“This is a one time thing, okay?” he continues as he fishes out his wallet. “Don’t expect me to let you bring home every animal you find.” 

Shou wants to hug him, would if he could, but Michiko is snoring peacefully so instead he just breaks out into an enormous grin. He stays with her as Reigen goes through the process of adoption, is handed a leash so they can walk her back to the house. Teru is almost as enamored with her as he is, and it takes a bit of lighthearted bickering to settle that Shou’s the one who gets to take it. 

Reigen prattles on and on about all the supplies he and Serizawa are gonna have to get today. He says the boys are welcome to come and help pick out things for her, kennel and dog bed and toys, and Shou really wants to go, but he wants to stay with Michiko and show her around more, so he has Teru go in his place. Granted, it might be a mistake with Teru’s decision making, but it’s a risk he’s willing to take. 

They get through the front door and Serizawa nearly jumps out of his skin. He shoots Reigen a look, but the latter just laughs it off and says something about her being meant for Shou. There’s a big smile stretching across Serizawa’s face anyway. 

“This is my room,” Shou explains. Michiko doesn’t answer, he didn’t expect her to, but he grins as she curiously sniffs at the beanbag in the corner, then the assortment of plushes piled on one end of Shou’s bed. He loves her so much. “We’re probably gonna put your kennel downstairs for now, but who knows, maybe you can be up here soon.” 

She just wags her tail and continues on her sniff adventure around the room. She’s very careful, Shou notes, politely stepping around the pile of clothes Shou needs to bring down to the laundry room and the sketchbook he had left on the floor. He only has to step in once when Michiko gets too close to the hamster cage, and though he doesn’t think she would do anything, better safe than sorry. 

He follows her out of the room when she’s seen it all and then to Teru’s room, then Serizawa and Reigen’s, then they head back downstairs to he can show her where her food and water’s going to be once the rest of them are back from shopping. 

“We’ll take good care of you,” Shou says. Her tail wags, and it’s hard not to think she understands. “Reigen’s a huge dog-lover, Serizawa loves animals in general, I don’t think Teru has ever had a pet in his life but you saw how happy he was bringing you home, yeah?” He crouches down to her level, holding out his hands palms up. Michiko makes a noise and rests her head in them so he’s effectively holding her. “I will never, ever, ever, ever let anything bad happen to you again, ‘kay?” 

She licks his nose. He laughs. 

“Gross!” Shou wipes the slobber off his face with the sleeve of his shirt. He pulls out his phone and snaps a quick pic of her and send it off to Ritsu.

He grins as his screen is immediately crowded by excited texts from the other boy, and he makes a mental reminder to take Michiko over to the Kageyama’s sometime. 

When the rest of the family gets home hours later carrying a ridiculous number of toys and other doggy-materials, Shou puts his heart into helping getting everything set up. Like he’d guessed, Michiko would be staying in the living room for the time being, kennel out of the way but not hidden with a big, fluffy dog bed inside. He presents each and every toy to her as they’re unwrapped and untagged. Her favorite is one that has Teru’s name written all over it: a bright pink squeaky ball with yellow zig-zags across its surface. Her second favorite is the tug-of-war rope. Both Shou and Teru break from unpacking to go against her in a game of it, purposely letting her win and yank the two of them across the floor. It’s not hard to fake losing though, she’s strong. 

“Hey, Reigen?” Shou says when he steps back into the kitchen. Reigen’s crouched with water bowl in hand, trying not to spill any of it. 

“What’s up, kid?” he asks once it’s safely on the ground. He stands and brushes his pants off. 

Shou doesn’t have any reason not to hug him now. He rushes forward before Reigen can get another word out, squeezing his dad so tight that he briefly lifts off the ground. Reigen wheezes. Shou loosens his grip, just a little. 

“Thank you,” he mumbles into his chest. Reigen, still trying to catch his breath back, pats him on the back. 

“Don’t... even... mention it,” he manages to get out. Shou places him back on the ground so he can compose himself. It only takes seconds. “You’re not the only one who likes animals, y’know.”

Shou laughs again.

The full title is ‘Yume Oukoku to Nemureru 100 Non no Oujisama’ but that’s way too long to put in the title! xD And everyone tweeted with the hashtag ‘YumeStage’ so hence the title here.

PS. This time the drinking game is; drink everytime I say ‘sweet’ or ‘sweetie’ xD

I saw this twice in one day and I’m super happy I did! No regrets here!

Non-Spoiler Review

Overall: Guys!! This play is still playing in my head big style and it’s been over a month since I saw it! I went in knowing nothing about this stage and I just went with the mindset of ‘I’m going to enjoy this no matter what’ and goddammit it paid off. I enjoyed this so freaking much! I really want a second stage too and I’m defo buying the DVD. It definitely isn’t the best Idol Stage there is -- there’s only really one decent song in the entire stage -- BUT the amount of adlibs and the amount of funny moments and how the boys themselves just seem to be enjoying it, really shines through! Because Yume Stage wasn’t so ‘high value’ compared to the other Idol stages, the boys really had room and freedom to just fuck about and enjoy! It really was amazing in terms of how enjoyable it was. Also the story is simple and cute enough that literally anything could happen and I loved the little twists we had! This stage also really let me understand WHY RenRen is so damn popular -- he really stole my heart in this stage! THAT and his cute tiny tushie -- we’ll not get into that conversation just yet. I totally get why he’s popular thanks to this stage. Everyone was freaking adorable! Seriously, this is probably my favourite stage of the summer! It’s the only stage where I was like ‘hell yeah!’ pretty much the entire time AND it’s the only stage this summer to STAY in my brain for so long. I’m definitely getting this BR! Rating: If we compare it to other stages and other idol stages then people would probably rate this a 6 out of 10. But for me it’s like an 8/10. Guys, I can’t stress enough how much I enjoyed this stage.

SPOILER Review

PreShow

This was one I put in for the senkou on a whim… It has TakaChan (Takasaki Shouta) in it; TokiEnta was doing a cast senkou for him so I decided to put in and then I learnt if you went to the two different endings, you got a special good so I put in for two and managed to get both of them! I got the second to last and the final show which I thought was super lucky! So I went and to be honest, I’ve never played the game, didn’t intend to and to be honest, I’m kind of sick of all the idol stages they keep doing so at first I wasn’t all that excited for this show… BUT THEN I saw some of the visuals and TakaChan’s and Bishin’s looked sooooooo cute and even Yamanaka’s visual looked good -- and he;s not even the twin I prefer! Also I realised it had Yoshioka Yu in it, and I love finding chances to be able to support him! So I got somewhat excited… AND THEN the show started and I saw all the dress rehearsal pics and DAMN my excitement went THROUGH the roof! Just on the pics it looked like so much fun! And guys… I wasn’t wrong… allow me to explain….

The Show

So about 10-5 minutes before the show starts, the Ensemble Guys come out and do like a ‘welcome’ skit as well s explaining the rules, and every time it was a little different. One guy was totally hilarious and always did this funny movement when saying ‘I’m sorry’ -- he’s essentially the ‘sumimasen/sorry’ guy. They would also come out at different times and from different parts of the stage. However, we had Harada who would come from audience entrance and down the stairs and I was super lucky because he came past me in BOTH stages! And he’s super fucking cute! I literally fell in love with him straight away! He’s sooooo cute!!!! *dead* 

I’m okay... and this is just the Ensemble! So already I was like ‘yes! This is gunna be good!’ 

BUT as it got closer to the start time, I saw people taking out penlights and I immediately thought ‘fuck.’ because there wasn’t a penlight on the goods list so I assumed ‘ah we don’t need one’ but I wish to god they had been like ‘have your penlights ready!’ I so wanted to join in and I felt super bad and out of place that I didn’t have one! Both times I was like ‘fuck’ but the second time around I knew the songs so I could just clap along -- and I was loud xD In the second stage they should really bring out a penlight -- or at least I need to remember one.

The story for this was very cute:

We have these three countries’ princes who’ve all reserved this special hotel for a certain someone’s (the girl who plays the game) birthday BUT because they all booked the same place; it was triple booked. So they decide that the winner of a performing contest will win and use the room. But some monsters turn up shortly after, of course, and some of them end up being with different groups and are trying to find their way back to each other. On top of that, magical mushroom pixie dust has been released and it’s making some of them become really truthful about their feelings.

So you can see; simple plot therefore lots of room to grow and had adlibs and have fun and boy they had fun!

The story was the most hilarious ON the day I went because that day was Yoshioka’s birthday! So at the end of both curtain calls I saw, TakaChan was like ‘Ren! You forgot the most important thing! guess who’s birthday it is!!! YOSHIOKA! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!’ He also started singing one of the songs from the stage to him and the audience started clapping along but he quickly got embarrassed and stopped xD Takachan took every chance to say happy birthday to Yuu xD 

As mentioned in the Non-Spoiler section, the songs aren’t the best BUT they are real cute. Each Country of Princes had their own group song. My favourite was definitely the Snow Country’s song; it felt the most powerful and it was a rock song and the dance was a little sexy and I feel like they really turned up the volume for that one. They also had all member songs too.

Snow Country’s song is the best! It’s powerful and cool just like Yoshioka xD Also Cheshire lots some fairy dust and it made people honest Which was hilarious! Cos we had guys like ‘I don’t need my brothers– no wait I love my brother! I wanna be like him!’

There was a lot of audience interacting in this one in terms of they go into the crowd a lot and there’s a scene with Tiiga, Rido and Sai talking to the audience towards the beginning of the stage, and they go into the crowd while they sing etc.

This stage really made me want to play the game, just because the actors did so well in making them so damn cute and adorable!!! BUT the fact it’s a vertical screen game, kind of puts me off it. AND my phone really can’t handle another game on my mobile xD BUT it looks really good... I’m a Cute-Kei, I love cute characters; just look at them here! AND they did an Ensemble collab and have Shinkai Kanata! Oh no.... I might start this.

Speaking of characters: Guys I'm in love with so many of them!!! Let’s go through the actors and characters:

RenRen as Tiiga: I finally saw the charm in why people like RenRen today too which isn't good because now I want to buy his Gekkan photobook and he recently brought out his own First photobook and I want to get that too! He was totally adorable in this! I always knew he had an endless amount of energy (just like Ryuji, Ogotan etc.) but he really showed it here. Also he was amazing with the comedy timing and his adlibs were awesome too! He’s so sweet too! During the curtain calls (get onto that later) he was sweet and very sincerer and I liked the way he spoke. His character is very similar to his Ensemble Stars characters. This is both a good thing and a bad thing. This is a good thing because it was character that we all know RenRen can do. he’s also the type of character everyone likes: loud yet lovable and very truthful to himself (most of the time). BUT it’s a bad thing because it was difficult to separate Tiiga and Akehoshi Subaru; at times it felt like I was just watching RenRen act in Ensemble rather than be like ‘no this is Tiiga and this is Yume Stage’ so that’s a little downside. But he had so many good scenes. I really loved his scene where Frost freezes his leg and he can’t move his leg - very well done acting by RenRen there. Another time, in anger he punches the ground then slowly starts to rub his hand which I died at both times.  

AND he had his classic ‘why bother giving him a mic because his natural voice is so freaking loud, we can all hear him without a mic’ xD and did I mention his tushie? I try not to perv on actors as much these days but his butt is so cute! I can’t not look! Seriously, if you see the pics of him in this outfit! It’s real cute xD

Takasaki (TakaChan) Shouta as Rido: TakaChan... TakaChan is always an idiot but a lovable one. And poor Takachan, he really tried to sing xD however, just like RenRen, he played a character somewhat to his Ensemble character (Izumi); he had this stoicness about him and this proudness, BUT Rido is a lot cuter and more innocent and I really liked seeing his and RenRen’s dynamic. They were just so good together and TakaChan, being the fail he is, just cracked up a lot on stage while RenRen so professionally kept it together. There was a good similarity and contrast between them. And can we talked about how, although the gloves he wore were sexy, he had trouble flipping pages of books and stuff with them on which was adorable. OH! There was a scene where the three of them (from Jewel Kingdom) had to act out a play - very badly by the way - and RenRen was in charge and yelling at the other two at what to do and then Rido was upset he was playing the villain and got very sick of Tiiga’s demands and controlling that he rolled up the script they were using, used it as a sword, jabbed RenRen a few times but then whacked RenRen over the head, really hard -- it was super funny BOTH times. Such a good moment between them two. 

But this little shit with his sexy pictures; look at this:

Adachi Yuuto as Sai: This one was a surprised (most of them were), he very quickly got into my heart. I wasn’t interested in him at first just because I don’t know the actor but Sai turns out to be this cute, sweet Prince who’s totally adorable (I know cute and adorable are the same). I ended up really liking Sai but he is a little overshadowed by RenRen/Tiiga and TakaChan/Rido’s strong personalities. But he does play the nice middle ground between their huge personalities and keeps the trio relationship balanced.

Saki Masato as Madhatter: Saki is one of those actors who’s very type-cast. You know exactly what his character is going to be like before you see him on stage because he is that type-cast. This one was no different; I totally get why he got this role. His character was obviously, proud and very self-righteous and very much like ‘I know what’s going on. Why should we give up the party room for you’ and stuff. I really liked his fighting style with his stick though. Unfortunately he was one of the lesser ones in terms of stage time so we didn’t really get to know him that much, so I don’t have much to say. But his performance was great and I love the fact he’s the Mad Hatter and his costume was awesome and his fight scenes were great too! He gave what you would expect of him which is good enough.

Takamatsu Kouichi as Capita: This one really shocked me. When he came on stage I thought ‘this guy looks familiar’, and then a few minutes later it finally clicked ‘he’s from Star Concerto!!’ I had no idea both him AND Bishin (also in Star Con) were in this stage! So I was immediately pumped and kept an eye on him. Unfortunately his character also didn’t have a lot of stage time like MadHatter so we didn’t get to see much of him. BUT I really loved his fight scenes. He’s one of those characters who is so powerful he doesn’t need to attack when it comes to a fight. The enemies would charge towards him and he just dodged them so flawlessly and only attacked to deal the final blow. He was such a badass fighter. And I rather love that he had this pipe to s--- omg I’ve just realised he’s the caterpiller from AIW!!! Why did it take me this long to realise Capita = Caterpiller!! That’s why he smokes!! It was really cool that he was just ‘smoking’ it on stage the entire time and never even stopped when he was flawlessly fighting. I really liked his costume too! I think his costume is my favourite out of them all. I just hope in the second stage though, we get more character development and backstory from him because I do want to know more about him. But now that I know he’s the Caterpiller(!) I kind of understand why his character is so chill and passive about all the incidents that happen.

Kobayashi Tatsuyuki as Heart: I was surprised by how much I liked this character. I liked the visuals originally, but didn’t so much find him a priority or of anyone I should focus on. But his character is so sweet! He’s like the Naruko of Yume Stage: Very loud and energetic and rather confident, but also full of heart and always chasing after the MadHatter because he respects him and wants to be like him and thinks he’s the coolest thing to walk the planet. If I remember correctly, he was the strongest singer too. His wig is totally adorable with the little heart mark on it too!

His is another costume I fell in love with and totally want! xD I’m pretty sure this is his first stage too and he did a great job! He always brought great energy to the stage and when he got separated from MadHatter he was cute too!

Iiyama Kouta as Cheshire Cat: This one... as soon as he walked on stage, I was like ‘oooooh who’s this sexy minx?!’ and by god he was sexy! He was probably the best at being cat-like -- and in a sexy way! It didn’t help that he was the mischievous character and it’s because of him, who had the magical mushroom pixie dust, that the dust got out and made people become rather truthful to themselves and to others. Granted he just wanted to have a bit of fun and was without malcontent, and he did spill the contents out by accident xD but it still; caused quite a ruckus and was rather full to see unravel. Also there’s a scene with him and Chrono -- it was part of a higawari (daily changing scene) --where he basically just tells Chrono to do something and Bishin/Chrono literally cannot say no, which naturally makes it comedy gold for the audience. Turns out this actor is actually super popular so by the time I finished the Afternoon show (and with it being the final show) his bromides were completely sold out -- I guess his beautiful pictures in the photobook will have suffice. It’s only naturally he’s popular - he was super sexy and cute at the same time and was a really good sexy cat AND he’s freaking RenRen’s group member so that makes him auto-popular right? ... According to his profile he was in YowaMushi Pedal too?! *googles* ahhh yeah.... that’s him... anyway enjoy this photobook pics of him <3

Uesugi Teru as Machia: I feel really bad for how low my expectations of him was. He was pretty decent in Marker Light Blue (see here) but after my friend said he was like the weak link in TsukiUta, my opinion of him kind of went down a little so while watching stage I was pretty critical towards him and really scrutinising if he did something good or not. I have to saw he had a cute character and I really like how he used his actual fake dog(?) ears when he was trying to get everyone back to their friends and such -- his ears had super good hearing. 

I really liked when he was explaining to Frost what his brother was saying from afar and he used very interesting and comical movements. But overall, he was definitely the weakest in the stag. He’s not actually a bad actor but in comparison to all the popular and more experienced actors around him, it was a little obvious he was somewhat newer. I do look forward to seeing him again in Marker again in November though (see link here). I think he has room to grow and improve so it’s not a bad thing... did I justify my opinion enough yet?

Kawasumi Bishin as Chrono: I was interested in Bishin’s character the moment the visuals came out; firstly, he enver plays (full on) cute charactyers and this character is in pink and has bunny ears and his visuals looked so good. The moment they came out I had already decided to buy his bromides. And he did not disappoint in the stage! He was so adorable and his character was great! Esepcially with him and Cheshire Cat’s constrast and their pairing was great! Bishin’s character tried to act responsible and reasonable but Cheshire just went one step too far and he broke down and, thanks to the mushroom dust, he spent part of the play just crying like ‘Cheshire Cat is so mean to me! He makes me do stuff and I don’t want to! He forces me to do this stuff because he doesn’t like me!! I want him to like me!! I want to be his friend!!’ and Cheshire, eventually is like, ‘woah, I don’t hate you. Chill. I make you do stuff because it’s fun, because you always do as I say! I always have fun with you! I’ll stop if you want’ so Chrono got happy again because they really are friends ^_^ Bishin’s dancing was great too! He’s always had amazing dance skills and they shined through even in this stage! And he has so much energy!

Takane Masaki as Dormouse: I fell in love with this little cutie as soon as he came out on stage! His character is essentially ‘I’m always tired so I’m just going to sleep right here... while standing... in the middle of your argument’ and he does! he will literally sleep anywhere! It got so bad, that during one of the battles, they had to move him to the side of the stage so they could fight! And THEN because he wouldn’t wake up, they ended up putting him in a trolley and pushed him around the stage that way! He’s awake literally for like 10 minutes. He’s so freaking cute! His yawns and stretches are adorable too! And he uses those stretches as weapons to attack the enemy towards the end -- it’s cute and funny at the same time that the enemy got beaten by a tired mouse stretching xD I really wanted his bromides but his sold out too! Hopefully AGS will get them eventually so I can snag his and Cheshire’s ^_^

Yoshioka Yu as Frost: And now we’re at this sexy motherfucker. Just like Saki he is very type-cast in his characters and this stage was no different. He always nails the ‘stone cold and arrogant, yet sexy’ character. However, this one had a little bit of a spin when he inhaled the mushroom dust, he became really sensitive and worried and just a super sweet guy. Everyone was really shocked. For those that don’t know, Yu is a super sweetie in real life and I think that’s why he always does this tough, serious, strong characters because they’re completely different to his actual self. So cute to see that little switcheroo on stage. AND the day I went; it was his birthday! So it was really funny that the story itself was coincidentally about birthdays and every time at curtain call TakaChan was like ‘it’s Yu’s birthday! Don’t forget Ren! It’s Yu’s birthday!’ TakaChan was totally trolling Yu and kept telling Yu is was his birthday xD

Takahashi Rio as Glacier: This was another who surprised me. I didn’t expect to like him but as soon as he came on stage, I thought ‘oh he’s cute! And I like his visual and his character development in this is great!’ and THEN I learnt he’s from TokiEnta (same Ent Company as TakaChan, Aramaki Yoshihiko, Tomita Sho, Kishimoto Takuya etc)! So I was like ‘AUTO MUST LIKE!’. I telly enjoyed his character; his character starts off as very closed off and doesn’t really want to talk to anyone or make friends but soon after the mushroom dust kicks in he opens up and is like ‘I want to be like my brother (Frost)! I respect him so much and he’s so cool!’ and soon enough he opened up to Rido who was like ‘I’ll be your friend! Don’t be so closed off. I’ll accept you no matter what’ so they become friends and it’s so cute! His character really grows on me. All these characters in the stage sound very similar but that's honestly because I ain't doing any of them justice. They're all very individual and have their own unique cute parts but I'm just doing a flumsy job of describing them individually xD Honestly!! So this one was a wonderful surprise for me to ending up liking. And then when I saw him at MakiChan's event (review hopefully coming soon on that one too!) like a month alter; he's even more likable as a person! He's so nice in real life -- as expected of TokiEnta actors <3 anyway I'm getting too far ahead of myself. Here, take these pics:

Yamanaka Shouta as Schnee: Firstly, Shouta isn't my favourite twin. I much prefer Kenta even though Shouta seems to be getting more gigs. But he was fine in this! I still can't get over how naturally high their voices are but I quite likes the bratty side he had in this. It wasn't a bad bratty; it was more of a 'I love my brothers and I always want us to be together and I want to be by their sides so don't ruin it!' type of brattiness. He has a really emotional part towards the end of the stage which tugs at the heart strings a but where he explains it's always just been those three and he's scared of someone ruining it which is sweet (yep, keep taking those shots). BUT unfortunately (but fortunately?) I have to get a little pervy again BECAUSE whenever Shouta was on stage; I was just constantly looking at his crotch. The suspenders that hold up his (very nicely coloured) purple jeans are a bit too high/tight and they kind of outlined his crotch section rather... obviously? So my eyes were very much floating to that part of him more than anything else... Seriously, between his crotch and RenRen's tushie, I didn't know where to look xD I'm sorry for the perviness! My old age is kinda making me feel bad when I think this kind of way; 20 year old me would've focused only on THOSE parts but me now is like 'nah, see them for their personality! It's kinda rude to them if you're only focusing on THOSE parts' but my eyes just couldn't help it... am I forgiven?... lets see if I can find a picture to prove my point

And last we have The Ensemble!! 

Ensemble teams are seriously becoming my favourite part of stages! For quite a while now (even with HakuMyu and Touken etc.), I've always been just as 'THIS person should do this play' about the ensemble cast as much as I am about the actual main cast in stages. Ensemble are so incredibly important and there's quite a few who very regularly pop up (Ikeda for example has done Sengoku Musou, TouStage and now UtaPuri etc.) and you get used to see their presence and you understand their acting and action just as much as any other actor on the main casting list so even with YumeStage I was paying just as much attention to the ensemble as I was with anyone else.

Nagome Jin: This guy was super funny! When he came on during the '10 minutes until show time' part he's like 'I got my hair permed...I daren't take my hat off! It's atrocious! Please don't look!' but I think it's actually his naturally hair! It was a funny moment. And he's like 'don't laugh at my hair! Don't even mention it!' xD

Harada Masahi: THIS is the cutie!!!!! As soon as he started walking down the stairs during the Pre-10-minutes I was in love! He is completely adorable and cute!! His profile picture does him absolutely NO justice but god damn his twitter is full of beauties! Here's some of them!

I messaged Masashi after the show ended so our little conversation is here:

I wrote to him something like “I really loved the ensemble’s higawaris and all the comedy scenes. I laughed a lot” so he replied:

Alex-san! Thank you very much!! I’m happy to hear those words from you ☆ We really thought through the daily higawaris (laugh)

Hino Toshihiko: He played the main owner/Manager for the staff and he was very professional even when the rest of them were cracking up laughing on stage. His character was strict but he did have his moments too. He's really good looking too ^_^ I liked his performance and thought he fit perfectly as the Hotel Head of Staff or whatever he was xD

Nakano Riku: I think he was the 'sumimasen/I'm sorry' guy who would just apologise for everything and would do it while doing these hilarious things. He either did a robot-like move, or he would hold the note for a very long time (it was so well done we all gave him a round of applause), or he did like a ballerina spin before he apologised; it was absolutely hilarious. It cracked the rest of the ensemble up too! Especially Masashi who was already adorable! I look forward to see what ridiculous stuff he did for the DVD filming day. Also he has a scene where he too inhales the mushroom dust and he does a complete 180. He throws his hat down and is like 'WHY SHOULD I APOLOGISE?!' and storms off while the rest of the ensemble look at him like 'we're so sorry we caused you stress!' and run after him! xD

Unfortunately I don't remember the rest of the ensemble cast *cries*

Extra Notes:

*Masashi just got cast as Ensemble for UtaPuri, so guess who’s going to try for the damn LV so I can see him (and Ikeda)?! I ain’t interested in seeing it for Someya or the main cast but for the god damn Ensemble xD Now you see why I said ensemble have become a major deal for me and my friends, and most likely other fans.

*Nagome and Hino are in the Banchou Boys stage: Amakuhanaize 2 and I was super surprised when they walked out.. I was like ‘YUME STAGE ENSEMBLE?!’ so I enjoyed seeing them in something else too << spoiler alert xD

Okay now that the cast and characters are done... now it’s time for...

Afternoon vs Night Show Differences

AFTERNOON:

The first/second scene we properly have the Jewel country together, they come in from the left side door and into the aisle area; TakaChan turned to RenRen and said 'don’t be stupid!’ RenRen: 'Okay!’ TakaChan: 'I mean it!’ RenRen: ’…okay’ Then he turned to Sai 'you too!’ Sai: 'Me?!’ So Taka and RenRen go towards the stage but Sai turned to an audiene member, 'who do you like? ….. *looks at TakaChan and RenRen* she can’t decide… who do you like? ….. she said everyone!’ XD

During the ‘we’re performing a play within a play’ scene with the Jewel Country; Takachan tried to do a manly voice and ended up pissing himself laughing and because it was still so early in the day and to be honest, most of them weren’t fully functioning yet (xD), RenRen had to look away to stop himself from laughing!

One of the jokes between the ensemble is asking the sumimasen guy how far he could see. I thought they were joking when they said: Where you looking? 12th row. What you see? Nothing.

And then I looked behind; there weren’t even 12 rows of audience for the afternoon show because it started so damn early! Which is sad because this stage is super cute!! 

During this show, RenRen and Sai’s actor when past me. Masashi went past me on the left-hand side.

After the frozen leg incident, in the next scene RenRen stormed over to Yoshi and yelled 'you froze my leg! It's still cold! No wait, wrong leg! Right!' 

There's one higawari where RenRen goes on his tippy toes cos he's smaller than Yoshi and Saki; in the afternoon show Saki did the same as RenRen and went up on his tippytoes.

Going back to the scene where Chrono has to do everything and anything the Cheshire Cat tells him to; in the afternoon show Chrono was pushing the trolley with Dormouse in it while Cheshire was getting a piggyback from him. When Chrono would stop, Cheshire was like ‘lets swap and I’ll pull the trolley!’ but he would push like one step and be tired, then get a piggyback again while Chrono did a few more steps and literally did that 3 or 4 times. Poor Chrono/Bishin!

During the Curtain Call: RenRen said 'I tried real hard to wake up this morning! I’m sure you all did too. Who does a show at 11:30?!’ and we were all dying of laughter and it was like a mutual agreement of ‘lets never do an 11:30 show ever again’ xD Also, as RenRen was finishing up like  ‘okay so–’, Takachan was like 'WAIT! Ain’t you forgot something?’ RenRen was ignoring the fact it was Yoshi’s birthday xD

NIGHT:

MY NEXT SEAT WAS AN AISLE SEAT!!!!! I was so happy!!! And I was lucky enough that Masashi SWAPPED sides for his ‘down the stairs’ entrance so he was on my side for both shows because I also swapped sides!

The second time around was even better!! Also the audiene was a full house so this time the ensemble was like ‘I see the 26th row!’ and they replied ‘there is no 26th row!’ xD

The first thing TakaChan said when he came on stage was ‘Guys I just realised... *looks at his outfit* I’m a spring onion’ and everyone died laughing.

The tippy toe scene: this time Saki and Yoshi both put a hand on either side of RenRen’s shoulder and pushed him back down off his tippy toes xD 

Also their sneezes were cuter in the night show when they got the mushroom pixie dust in their system. Guess they woke up by this time!

The group Jewel aisle scene: Takachan: Chokkai suru na! = Don’t you go meddling Sai: You too Rido And then they all proceeded to speak to some guests!! Takachan patted a girl’s head. After patting he was like 'I'm good let's go!' and RenRen replied 'I wanna talk longer!!' he wasn’t allowed to.

I missed it in the first show, BUT the first time all of Wonder Kingdom are together, there’s a bet between Chrono and Marchia! In the night show, Chrono/Bishin walked on stage with the stage’s photobook and bet it. Marchia asked to look at it first and when he did, he was like 'ooooh too sexy!' he won it in the end.

Back to the Cheshire and Chrono higawari: Cheshire was absolutely ridiculous and told him to be a rocket then change into an enemy who’s attacked by the rocket, and then be a rocket again, and then TWO enemies, and a rocket. Bishin was so tired by the end. He looked like he was going to murder Yuuta and was so out of breath.

This time instead of RenRen and Sai passing me, it was TakaChan ^_^

TakaChan cracked up at a totally normal line. During a scene where they’re trying to decide how to decide who wins the hotel room, Marchia suggests the decide via games, to which RenRen says '(Rido) he's bad at this game!' TakaChan reacts like 'eh?!??' but the audience's reaction was so perfect and well timed that it cracked him up laughing, and he had to hide behind the book he had in his hand for ages.

During the curtain call: the second time around, the director came out too and in a prince costume!!

Quite a bit of time has passed since I watched this and I have to say; surprisingly I think this is my favourite stage of the summer! Even now I’m like ‘damn that was funny! Man that was fun! I want to hear that song again! I hope they do a second stage’ etc and I am telling you know: I AM getting this god damn DVD! That is how much I ended up liking this stage! – I know! I’m surprised too!

Me, especially during the winter, but don’t underestimate me I will steal it when it’s 80 degrees outside and Teru’s just confused

Both of us, but it gets a bit tricky sometimes because I’m always scared I’m bothering him, and he doesn’t have a lot of time to text/call a lot of the times. In Teru and Akiko’s case at least, they’re usually within waking distance of each other, and their schedules are much more relaxed

who’s the most creative when it comes to gifts

ooohhh no I don’t even think that’s a fair comparison. We’d probably give each other something reflective of our skills, so food and art respectively, and I don’t even know if you could put those on the same scale of creativity!

who gets up first in the morning

Teru does, usually to cook breakfast or begin prep work, but he’s just an early riser in general, even if he doesn’t have anything else to do

Teru does. I have my ideas every now and then, but it’s still like 90% Teru 10% me anyway. But sometimes he’s joking and it gets tough to tell when he’s being serious or not until he tells me.

Technically both of us, but it’s more likey that Teru would cry. It’s rare for me to cry at movies in the first place, and even when I am really emotionally moved by something, it’s usually only a single tear, which is my equivalent to him sobbing at the movie, but again, it’s still less frequent

Ahh, I have a hc that the esper kids will spar with each other sometimes, but when they get too rough Mob will intervene to make sure no one actually gets hurt ;u;

definitely.  mob might not be that interested in his powers, but if you phrase it as a way of learning control and so that when he meets another esper or a strong spirit, he can gently end the fight before it even begins.  Since mob fights with crushing power teru trys explaining that a flashy move showing that youre too strong to take down can end fights. Mob doesn’t really get it until Shou pops in with wrestling facts.  which is all about pinning the opponent down so they can’t fight and give up.  Like using your shield, but instead of on yourself, you use it around them.  Mob was very wary of joining them, and would give these light taps, like a cat batting with a paw, until he relaxed enough to actually try and teru suddenly found himself facedown on the ground.  because mob has like two settings, 1% or 100% he’s not so good at technique. 

teru never quite lost that trill from winning a fight, so while he doesn’t seek them out anymore, because now that he’s been on the receiving end of an unbalanced esper fight, he’s found that loosing is not enjoyable, but fights between equals are longer and far more exciting. Teru is ALWAYS up for a challenge.  Old habits die hard.  He likes sparring to keep his skills sharp, but teaching teh Awakeng lab kids and mob, and watching their faces light up when they get something, he feels....proud.  but not the old lion watching over his territory proud, but more, playing with cubs and oh no you got my ear, i am the dead now

Ritsu, holyshit ritsu.  If powers are like knives then the first thing ritsu did was learn to stab people.  Ritsu’s goal of surpassing his brother is still there, but as a stepping stone he has defeating teru and shou when shou’s actually being serious.  His spars with teru and shou tend to be very short at first, since teru is good finding openings and shou can counter almost anything.  He tends to lose fast, but ritsu learns QUICK. You can’t beat him the save way twice.  It took a while but during one such fight, ritsu noticed that a bit of his aura didn’t look right, and he sat mob down to explain that when you learn to ride a bike  and when you take the training wheels off sometimes you fall over and skin your knees, he already stopped relying on dimple, but he’s not going to learn if you keep helping Niisan.

Shou is a bit odd about sparing.  Oh he’s fine with fighting but he’s not all that serious about it now that his dad isn’t a threat anymore.  But since teru hasn’t quite reached his level and ritsu is catching up fast, he sometimes trys to fight mob and BOY IS THAT FRUSTRATING.  Because mob will just stand there and let you do whatever until he remembers that oh yeah, fights dont end unless you do something and suddenly stands his ground and it becomes remarkably similar to trying to fight a brick wall with bare hands.  He grew up around espers all the time so he’s use to them suddenly fight out problems and people constantly useing their powers for everyday use.  and was one of them, nothing like a good fight to fight off boredom. But friends are a new thing for him and he’s much more interested in that.  and also learning about personal space.  because he’s always been kept at arms length before and isnt sure how close is too close.  He finds that touching teru is the fasted way to get him to fight, because teru might be a heck of a lot friendlier now, he’s used to holding up his image and his personal space is very much a respect thing.  Mob doesn’t seem to get personal space.  Like he’s highly respective of others’, but will not really defend his.  Drapping himself over mob will result in befuddlement, discomfort, and mob gently extracting himself when he gets too uncomfortable.  Shou doesn’t push that with mob too much, it makes ritsu bristly and then ritsu will give him the cold shoulder instead of putting up with shou’s koala like tendencys with a long suffering sigh.
