Tbh all of this falls apart when you just... Look at another language lol. Human in French is "Humain", which curiously looks the same but contains "main", which if you want to continue this method of thinking means "hand". So human in French means "someone who has hands"? Not really, but the fact human and humain got the same origin kinda cements this theory as vain.
Let's look at the rest.
Man/Woman -> Homme/Femme. The only thing common between the two are "mme", which doesn't mean anything and is just there. And like said earlier, female becomes femelle, the latter being its origin, so mâle/femelle doesn't work either.
Person is Personne in French and son is fils, so nothing is there either.
And lastly she/he. It's il and elle. What do you conclude.
But what's my point? Is French somewhat more progressive? The same French that, as a romance language, gendered nearly every word? The same French where until wayyy in the 20th century (and even the 21st lol) we decided that some important jobs shouldn't have a feminine form? No, my point is that searching for the patriarchal biases in a language is not a vain and "misandrist" task. There's always a lot to do, and a bunch stuff should be changed (please add a neutral grammatical gender to French, we had one centuries ago, got it from Latin but it disappeared because gender binary), but I think we should at least do it right, not hunt for witches by imagining etymologies with no other basis than "kinda looks the same".

Choso wasn't a womanizer, and certainly not a seducer. He was a stoic man, always wearing an aloof expression, as if he didn't want to be here. When he found a girl pretty, he simply looked away, no emotion crossed his face and he continued his day as if nothing had happened. He wasn't a virgin, just not the most comfortable at flirting.
In high school, Yuuji had more success than him. This cheerful guy attracted all the girls, his smile was a powerful tool. Choso, he was way too shy to even approach a girl, and way too aloof to let himself be approached.
So when you came into his vinyl shop, nothing could prepare him for the reaction, the wave of emotions that you were going to bring out in him.
With your daughter in hand, you walked into the shop, looking at your surroundings. The vinyl shop was a little place decorated with multiple plants, and hundreds of music posters were plastered on the walls. From Destiny's Childs to Linkin Park, rock, jazz, rap, all genres of music were on the walls.
Right next to the cash register were vinyl turntables, where “Kiss of life” by Sade was playing. There were vintage CDs bins under the vinyl bins. There was a special charm to the place, and a sweet smell of jasmine enveloped the room.
Choso was writing something behind the cash register when he raised his head to look at his new customer, all the air in his lungs disappeared. It was like those moments that shape everyone's life.
Saying you were beautiful was an euphemism. You were drop dead gorgeous, shaped by God himself, an angel sent to earth to drive people crazy. It was a sunny day, the sun's rays penetrated the shop to illuminate your figure, and made your skin glow.
Wearing a black maxi skirt that reached down to your feet, it hugged every curve of your lower body to perfection. Your jewelry made noise with each of your steps, and Choso didn't know where to look, your belly chain called him just like the multiple long necklaces that came down in your cleavage. Your chest was enhanced by a close-fitting top, black like your skirt, the perfect ensemble for the shape of your body. Your stomach was bare and you proudly displayed the stretch marks of your pregnancy under your belly chains.
When you turned around to rummage through the vinyl bins, Choso had to make a superhuman effort not to stare at your ass, the tight fabric of your skirt perfectly fitting your curves. Instead, his gaze was lost in your back, your top was backless, and it was the sexiest sight he has seen. Seriously, who was that girl? He never saw someone so gorgeous. Your skin was glowing in the sun, and your jewelry accentuated the shining aura you had.
The image of your body and face was forever imprinted in his memory and he swears he was not the same man at that moment. It was like your beauty had short-circuited his brain.
“Hey,” you said softly, placing your forearm on the wood counter.
He raised his head and blinked. Two times. Three times.
“I am looking for the vinyl of “Diamond life” by Sade. I didn’t see it in the “S” jazz section, are you maybe hiding it behind?” you smiled at him, and your hand pointing to the vinyl bins behind the counter.
Your eyes lingered on him. He was a very attractive man. Dark eyes and long black hair, there was something sexy about this combination. Dark locks of hair hid his forehead and framed his angular face, he had the hottest eyes, piercing and intense. Your hand intertwined with your daughter tightened as you looked at him.
He blinked so many times, trying to regain control of his thoughts.
“Sade? Yeah, it’s kinda rare, but once in a while, we have some,” he shrugged, typing something on his computer, preferring to look at his computer screen rather than at you, because you made him nervous. “Sorry, we don’t have it today.”
“Aww, too bad. I like this band so much.”
Your daughter fidgeted, visibly disappointed, her cute eyebrows furrowed. “They don’t have it ? But it’s a vinyl shop, I thought they would have all the vinyls in the world.” She pouted.
You chuckled softly, lowering your head and placing your hand on the top of her head.
“My daughter loves them too, as you can see,” you smiled at him.
Choso’s face softened, he thought your daughter was adorable. She looked exactly like you, like a mini you. He noticed the two of you had the same nails designs, yours in acrylics, and your daughter with simple nail polish. It was cute, honestly.
“Sorry miss, we don’t have all the vinyls of the world, but I’m sure nobody in Tokyo has my taste in music.” He took the pen he had been hiding behind his ear, grabbed a blank piece of paper, and leaned over the counter, looking thoughtful.
“Describe your type of music. Fav Genre, fav bands, and all.”
Your eyes widened, enthusiastic about talking about music.
“Oh, don’t get me started,” you laughed.
A ghost of a smile flashed Choso’s face.
“I’m not the type of person that lets his customers leave his shop with nothing.”
He started writing on the little piece of paper.
“Your like Sade, so you like Jazz, right?”
“Yeah, but I’m more in love with her person and her voice than the instruments. I love female singers who sing about love, poverty, and feelings.”
He looked up to you, seeing the fondness in your eyes as you talked about her. You were a real fan, and he liked that about you.
“I think I have something for you.”
He stopped writing, and left the counter to go get some vinyl from the bins. You could admire his lean body, he had baggy black jeans, but his thighs looked muscular even from where you were standing. His shirt was tight on his torso, you could see the outline of his abs, and how his biceps were flexing as he searched into the bins.
He found what he was looking for, and took the vinyl out of its packaging, to put it on the turntable next to him.
“Lauryn hill, To Zion. A song about her love for her child, with Carlos Santana. Amazing song, amazing vocals.”
The song began with guitar, and the soft voice of Lauryn Hill enveloped the shop. You swung your head gently to the sound of the music, and at the moment the chorus came where it went into high notes, you smiled at Choso.
“I love it, it’s such a cute song. Gonna make my daughter listen to it now,” you looked down at your daughter, and stroked her cheeks.
“I don’t listen to a lot of jazz to be honest. My favorite genre is mostly R&B, and rock. But soft rock, like Cigarette After Sex. I’m into rap too,” you explained as he came back behind the counter and picked up his pencil.
“Recent R&B or 90s?”
“Both. Love Brent Faiyaz, SWV and Aaliyah.”
“Good taste,” his praise made you all tingly.
He remained silent as he continued writing on the paper, and you leaned over to see what he was writing. As he did, your chest pressed against the counter, making it perkier, and when Choso raised his eyes, his cheeks heated up. With rosy cheeks, he continued what he was doing, trying not to stare too much at you, not wanting to look like a creep.
“There,” he handed to you the paper with a soft expression. “I hope you like it.”
You took the paper, and your eyes lit up at the number of artists and songs he had written on it. From recommending music from Aaliyah that you might like, to new artists like The Roots, Lauryn Hill, Erykah Badu, Jodeci… He had categorized each artist by genre, offering you alternative R&B with Frank Ocean to 90s R&B with Mint Condition, and rock with The Smiths. He had picked up on the fact that you liked female voices and had made a small category of female singers just for you, singers like Cleo Sol and Jill Scott.
“How did you know I could like Amy Winehouse?! I fucking love her!”
“Just a guess,” for the first time, his lips curled into a soft smile as he gazed at you. He was touched by your enthusiasm for music. You had that in common.
Your heart raced, you were so thankful. You were already excited to go home, open Spotify or Itunes and listen to all his recommendations.
“Thank you so much, I’m not depressed anymore for Sade.”
“You see, sweetheart?” you bowed your head to pat your daughter’s head. “We have lots of new music to listen to together, thanks to him.”
Your daughter stood on tiptoe to look at the paper you held out and she giggled, happy.
You didn’t want to go now. You wanted to talk with him again about music, and wanted to know more about him and what he liked to listen to. To have a real discussion about music, not a commercial discussion. He was really good at sales and business, you were already thinking about coming back next week to find vinyls of the artists he had recommended to you.
As you made your way towards the exit, you were suddenly pulled back softly by the arm, Choso grabbing it. He moved so fast from the counter to stop you.
“Just one last thing,” he began, his cheeks rosy, “I’m totally not doing that to ask you out, I promise.”
You paused, tilting your head.
“What is it?”
“My brother has a bar. A bar specializing in jazz and r&b. He’s quite famous, and a lot of artists come and do mini concerts there. I thought you might like it.”
A smile flashed on your face.
“That’s so cool! Where is it?”
He gestured to the wall next to you where a poster for a chic bar was posted. “The Groove”, it was named.
“Thank you,” your smile widened, “I will definitely go there this week with some friends. We were looking for a quiet place in Tokyo, this is perfect.”
“Good.”
He seemed shy, as if the contact of your skin burned him so he hastily let go of your arm.
“So…”
“See you soon? I’m definitely coming back!!! I’m gonna make a tierlist of all your recommended songs.”
His gaze softened, and he chuckled, putting his hands in his pockets. You were pretty, funny and has good taste in music. He was starting to have a horrible crush on you.
“See you soon.”

Choso’s music taste was so good.
You had listened to all the recent albums by the artists he had recommended to you, and listened to all the songs he had written down on paper, and all of them were a bop. You had come back to the vinyl shop to find the vinyls of your new favorite artists and to give him your opinion on his recommendations. In the end, it had become a habit. You always came all happy in search of new vinyl and he always prepared a paper with new artists to discover.
Choso liked you. You were his secret crush. He waited impatiently for the day of the week when you were going to pass by, the similar heat invading him when he caught a glance of your hair in the sun in the entrance of the shop. He liked your voice, which always got excited to talk about music, and softened when you talked about your daughter, he liked your clothing style, you took his breath away every time you passed by the shop with an outfit that revealed the shape of your body. He liked talking to you, answering your daughter's curious questions. He liked you.
You liked him too, to be honest. He was fine as hell, you remembered precisely the day he had carried vinyl bins and how his shirt had ridden up, revealing tattoos on his hips and lean abs. He had tattoos on his neck, his hips, his arms, everywhere. You had memorized all his piercings, one in his nostril, many in his ears, and one in his eyebrow. He was always dressed in black, and he looked good like that.
He was passionate about music and knowledgeable about his subject. You could spend hours listening to him talk, and watch him put vinyl on the turntable so you could hear his recommendations. The problem was that you only talked about music when you wanted to know a little more about him. Know the meaning of his tattoos, what music he listened to when he was sad, how he got into music, his name. You wanted to know more about him as a person.
You were listening to some Frank Ocean song when your friend Mina called you. You stopped doing the dishes, dried your hands, and took the call.
“Hey,” you softly said, and you were greeted by her enthusiasm.
“I’m on leave!! My boss is going to leave me alone for the week, time to go out and have fun girl!”
You burst out laughing in your kitchen, listening to your friend energetically tell how she finally had some time off after months, and wanted to celebrate with you. You worked from home to be close to your daughter, so you had a lot of free time compared to her who worked for a big company that was stingy on vacations.
“You don’t leave your house often, I'm gonna get you out of here!”
“I'm leaving my place to do grocery shopping, and search for vinyls,” you remind her as you dries the dishes.
“Boooh, that’s so lame,” you could picture her rolling her eyes at the other end of the phone line, and you chuckled.
“Wait, I didn’t tell you about the cute guy I met-”
“Drop the tea!!! It’s been years since you talked about a man, I’m excited!”
You told him everything from the beginning, until today when he lent you a book about jazz and all the greatest artists of the genre.
“He’s definetely in love with you,” she stated and you laughed.
“Please.”
“You got a whole man bending over the counter to write playlists for you every week. And he gave you a book. Sounds like the beginning of a love story to me.”
You sighed, amused by her. It was true his actions were cute, but being in love with you ?
“He’s so fine, he can’t be single.”
“Tell me more about him. I bet he look like an emo kid.”
You paused, laughing you ass off.
“What the fuck?”
“You think I don’t know you ? Your type is men with long hair, tattoos and piercings.”
“You just described him.”
“See?” she chuckled.
“Okay, maybe… Maybe, it’s true. But he’s more like a punk kid than emo. There is a lot of punk bands in his shop,” you said as you were cleaning the sink with one hand, and the other holding the phone.
“Whatever, the two of you are a match in heaven. Don’t sabotage this, I beg you.”
“Sabotage?”
She sighed, and her voice was hesitant.
“You know what I mean. You always sabotage your relationships before they could grow.”
“You mean me being having standards for me and my daughter and taking no shit?” you frowned.
It was true since your daughter's father left you, not wanting to raise a child, you were very careful about who you trusted. You didn't want your daughter to get used to seeing different men hanging around the house, so you avoided bringing your dates home, and you were very demanding. Your daughter's safety was what worried you the most, and you didn't want to bring just anyone home.
“Not that. More like your trust issues ruining the relationships.”
“I found out my last date had a criminal record for sex trafficking, sorry to be careful now,” you mumbled, a bit irritated by the way she was judging you. She was your friend, but she didn’t know what it was to have a child.
“Oh my god.”
“Yeah. But enough talking about this,” you said, waiting to drop the subject. “My daughter is at my mom’s house. I’m free tonight if you want to drink something,” you smiled.
Explosion of happiness on the other end of the line, you moved the phone a little away from your ear while Mina screamed in joy. You were grateful to have a friend like her. She was honest, enthusiastic, and took time to check on you every month, to see how you were doing alone with your child. She could be a little blunt at times, but she was caring in her own ways.
Suddenly, you reminded something.
“I think I have the perfect bar for us.”
────୨ৎ────
“The Groove” was a chic bar, located next to a park. The walls were made of brick and covered with paintings by world-famous artists. There were large sophisticated lamps that dimly lit the bar, creating a sensual atmosphere. The room was built so that the stage was in the middle and the tables and chairs were placed around it. The bar counter was rounded, everything was made of wood, the counter and the tables, while the chairs were made of vintage fabric with flower patterns on them.
Choso occasionally worked for his brother Yuuji, when there was a shortage of waiters. He stood behind the bar counter, wiping glasses with a dishcloth, when he looked up to see who had come in. He froze in place when he saw you. Just you, he was staring at only you, and didn't even acknowledge your friend. You stole all his attention.
Dressed in a long dress that touched the floor, you walked into the room, amazed by the lamps around you. Artists played the saxophone on the stage, and you were immediately immersed in the atmosphere of the jazz bar. Your black dress was elegant, and the neckline deep. It was a completely black dress with no artifice but a bare back. Simple, elegant, perfect for going to the bar.
Yet, you were stunning in his eyes. The same heat arose in his body, as every time he saw you. As you walked in the bar and soon arrived at the counter, his brain was thinking fast. He was almost done with his shift, and he will be damned if he didn't take the opportunity to talk to you for real, get to know you, or even flirt with you. Shit. He wasn't a seducer, he didn't know what he had to do to seduce you, but he wanted you bad.
Your eyes widened when you saw Choso behind the counter bar. You nudged your friend.
“What?”
“The cute guy I was talking about is literally just here,” you whispered in a tense voice.
She looked at the direction you were looking and her eyes lit up.
“You have so much taste in men, damn. He’s so-”
You nudged her again, not wanting to play along.
“Stop it, be normal. Please,” you mumbled as you approached the counter.
“You didn’t tell me you worked here,” you placed your hands on one of the high chairs at the bar, a polite smile on your face.
It was at this moment that Choso noticed that you weren't alone, and he looked at your friend, who also had a long golden dress, which was the perfect match with her dark brown skin.
“You didn’t ask me,” he simply said as he continued to wipe his glasses. “It’s nice to see you here, what would you like to drink?”
His voice was nonchalant but inside his heart were racing. The thing about Choso was that he was shy in places and situations where he was not in control. His vinyl shop was his safe place, music was his favorite subject, he was in something he knew perfectly. But seeing you here, at his brother's bar, was something else entirely.
“Two mojitos please,” your friend said softly, and begin to walk towards the table area. “I leave you alone,” she whispered in your ear before leaving.
You were grateful, and smiled at her, before your attention was back on Choso.
“You never told me your name.”
“Choso. Choso Kamo,” he started to do your drinks. “And you?”
You said your name, and he repeated it softly, to see how it rolled on his tongue.
“It’s pretty. Like you.”
“Did you just compliment your customer?” you smile widened.
“You’re not my customer here, I can do whatever I want with you.”
Was he flirting with you? You didn’t know but you liked where this conversation was going. You leaned against the counter.
“Does that mean we can ask ourselves questions that have nothing to do with music?”
“Like, can you wait for me before you leave with your friend? I’m almost done with my shift, and I’d like to talk with you.”
He was bolder and bolder, and you liked it. Your cheeks ached from smiling, and you nodded.
He gave you your drinks, and his eyes lingered on yours for a moment as yours hands touched each other when you took the drinks. You felt hot under his gaze, and you felt his eyes on you on your back even when you walked toward when your friend were sitting.
────୨ৎ────
His shift was over and he had to go home but he was sitting on the high chairs at the counter bar, his eyes still on you. He was already thinking about what he was going to say to you when he was alone with you, and his legs were shaking with nervousness.
“What are you waiting for?” Yuuji said, who was making cocktails behind the counter.
“A girl.”
“A girl ?!” Yuuji’s eyes widened with surprise.
Choso never talked about girls, crushes or conquests. He was too shy to do anything with a girl. So Yuuji was surprised.
“She’s here?”
“Shut up,” Choso’s cheeks grew rosy, and Yuuji chuckled.
“You’re whipped,” Yuuji smirked.
Just at that moment, he heard a chair scrape the floor and turned his head toward you. Your friend was picking up her bag, ready to leave. This was his moment, he thought. He stood up from the high chair, took a few strides, and came to your table. He didn't look you in the eye as he sat down where your friend was.
“Hey,” he said softly.
“Hey.”
The moment you were waiting for the most was here. A slight silence settled between you. It wasn't awkward, you were busy watching the artists play the saxophone in front of you. The melody gently enveloped the room. You were far from drunk, but a little tipsy, and smiled like an idiot.
“You're really pretty tonight,” Choso broke the silence first.
His eyes scanned your figure from head to toe, to remember it better later. He tried not to fix his eyes too much on your chest.
You turned your head towards him with a soft expression.
“Thank you,” you sipped your drink a little.
You acted calm, but inwardly you were nervous and you struggled to hold your glass steadily. It's been a while since you flirted with someone, you were too busy with your job and your daughter to do that.
Another silence.
“You…”
“So…”
You start your sentence at the same time and Choso chuckled softly.
“I'm not good at that,” he confessed, his voice low.
“Neither I am.”
“Really, though? I’m actually surprised you let me flirt with you.”
“What do you mean?”
He leaned his body over the table, moving closer to you.
“I mean,” he whispered, as if it was a secret, “a beauty like you can't be single, or am I just incredibly lucky today?”
Your stomach warmed.
“You're surprisingly really smooth for someone bad at this.”
“You're not answering the question,” he grinned, and you paused, admiring how his smile lit up his whole face.
“I’m single.”
“My lucky day.”
“Who said I was interested?”
“I will make you interested.”
You let out a soft chuckle.
“Confident, aren’t you?” you teased him.
He was anything but that. Under the table, he rubbed his sweaty hands on his jeans, his heart pounding. He was going to do things right, and had the goal of having at least your number by the end of the night. Or give you his, he was still hesitant.
“Tell me more about you. I can name your top 3 Spotify artists but I don’t even know your favorite color.”
“I'm a graphic designer who works at home, and I love reading romance books.”
“Graphic design? You make posters?”
You nodded.
“I work for a startup and do advertising. I make their posters, flyers. Pretty much everything visual for the brand.”
Choso listened to you attentively.
“Cool. I bet you must have favorite fonts.”
You let out a small laugh. He liked the sound so much and wanted you to always make it in front of him.
“Yeah, but nothing could beat New Times Roman. She's a badass,” you joked.
You talk to him about work for a few minutes, telling him what you like best about your job, what you like least, and how much fun it is to do it from home. Choso took the time to listen without interrupting you, nodding his head from time to time. You felt like he was interested in everything you said so you spoke without censorship. He had trouble looking you in the eye so his eyes darted to the side at times or he looked at the stage.
“It's cool how you're so passionate about everything.” He leaned against the back of his chair. “Your eyes are always bright when you talk about something you care about.”
“Really?”
You had never noticed this side of yourself.
“Yeah, it's cute. Your daughter is the same.”
Nothing could prepare you for the effect it had on you. It was a little thing, but it softened you, and warmth released in your belly.
“You're becoming a softie everytime I mention your daughter,” his eyes softened.
“You're really observant, it's scary.”
“I’ve been staring at you since you came to the shop. You steal all my attention.”
You were having trouble inhaling. He was going to make you shy if he kept this up.
“Enough talking about me, it’s your turn.” you decide to change the subject.
“You know my job already.”
“Your life is your job?”
“Pretty much. It’s my safe place. My hobby, my passion,” he said firmly. “My life is music.”
“What’s the last concert you went to recently?”
“Cigarettes After Sex.”
“Oh my god! Tell me about it.”
He smiled gently.
“It was amazing.”
“Of course it was, you’re so lucky to have managed to get tickets.”
“When you work in the music industry, it’s easier.”
You continued to talk about everything and nothing. Choso was easy to talk to, and he was a good listener. You learned more about him, about his bond with his brother Yuuji, what studies he had done or not done since he had dropped out of college to start his own thing, his shop. That was why his shop was so important to him, it was the realization of hard work and his biggest dream.
“I had to make a lot of sacrifices for my shop, dropping out of college was scary. It was like taking a plunge into the unknown.”
Empathy filled your eyes.
“I get that. It’s like your little baby, your shop. I was scared too when I got my daughter.”
“Are you raising her alone?”
“Yeah,” you sighed, “Her father didn’t want her.”
You confided in me about intimate things, but you felt comfortable with Choso. There was a connection with him, something inexplicable that bound the two of you together. You felt like you could tell him anything.
“What’s it like raising a child alone, not too tired?”
“Let’s just say my life revolves around her now, everything I choose for myself will have consequences for her. I can’t have fun dating just anyone, I think about how it might affect her,” you said with a thoughtful expression, looking down at your glass.
You told Choso how you had been through your pregnancy alone, and confided in him about the postpartum depression you had been experiencing. Choso listened to you attentively, he seemed really interested in what you said, and it put you at ease. It felt good to talk to someone other than Mina. You discussed current events, music, and books. It was a nice evening for the two of you where you felt safe with each other. You could be vulnerable with him.
Before leaving the bar, Choso had slipped a piece of paper with his number on it onto the table. He hadn’t looked you in the eye during the movement, staring at his knees. You found the action cute, finding it cute that he was so shy when he had been hitting on you all evening. You took the paper and put it in your bag.
Choso walked you towards the exit, his hand on the small of your back. His touch made everything tingly.
“It was a nice evening, Choso.”
“I hope this isn’t the last between us.”
You turned to him, a soft smile on your face.
“I can consider the idea.”
“Take your time, I’m all yours,” he whispered just near your ear and goosebumps spread across your skin.
Leaving the bar, the cold air outside made you shiver and you rubbed your arms. You turned to Choso still with your stupid smile because of the alcohol.
“So…”
“I’m walking you home,” Choso’s voice was firm, it wasn’t a question. “You’re tipsy and a woman alone in the night.”
You had no objection, and found his concern endearing. He took off his leather jacket to gently place it on your shoulders and you were melting inside. You continued to chat into the night, walking side by side.
You really liked Choso. He was a kind, passionate and caring man, who was close to his family and serious in his work. He had let you confide in him about your deepest pain concerning your daughter, and you didn't want it to stop there. You were planning on using his number, and seeing where this connection could lead you. Mina's voice came back into your head, advising you to stop ruining your relationships, and for the first time in a long time, you told yourself that she was right, and that you didn't want to ruin that connection with Choso.
But when you arrived in front of your house, you didn't know if it was the alcohol that made you act or the hidden desire you felt for him that resurfaced, your lips acted on their own when he lowered his head towards you to say goodbye. You gently pressed your lips against him, and he froze on the spot.

You traced his bottom with the edge of your tongue, and he let out a soft sigh, his lips parted. If you wanted a kiss, he was going to give it to you. He was waiting for that all night long. He sucked in a breath, lips itching for passion, and brushed his tongue against yours as his hands gripped the back of your head, bringing you closer to him.
You wrapped your arms around his neck, and tangled your tongue with his. At first the kiss was gentle, teasing then it quickly became hungry, intense. He was craving you. You don't know how you get into the building, all you focused on was how he was ravishing your mouth while grinding his hips against yours, his length hard and needy in his pants. You pressed the elevator button then your floor number, and let out a soft moan as Choso pinned you against the elevator wall, continuing to kiss you with ardor and voracity.
He placed his arms under your ass, lifting you up so you could wrap your legs around his waist. You rocked your hips against him, your lower half throbbing in need for friction. He slammed you against the elevator wall with each of his thrusts. Your hands in his back, you gripped at his shirt while you were panting against his lips. It’s been months since you did that with someone, your head was on fire. The elevator went up as you rubbed against each other, kissing.
The elevator stopped at your floor, and you stepped away from Choso for a few seconds, catching your breath.
“Follow me,” you took his hand in yours, and led him with you to your apartment. He followed behind you, his eyes on your ass. He wasn’t shy anymore, you had awakened a burning fire in him that he was waiting to release. You took out your keys to open the door but your hands were shaking. This was the first time you had brought a man home since you had your daughter.
“Where is your room?” he pinned you against the door once you were inside the apartment and lifted you again, wrapping your legs around his waist.
“At the back on the right.”
He carried you to your bedroom while pressing soft kisses on your jaw. Arrivé dans ta chambre, il te jeta sur le lit. Tu te redressais sur tes coudes, looking at him.
“Your daughter isn’t here?”
“She’s at her grandmother’s.”
“Perfect,” he said, rubbing his hands together and the action made you laugh. He looked like a child about to unwrap a Christmas present. Even though it was funny, it was making you kind of nervous, your heart raced.
“Choso, I…”
“What is it ?” his eyes softened as they roamed your figure on the bed. He noticed the little shaking of your hands. He walked forward and placed one knee on the bed.
“It’s been so long since I did this, I don’t know if…”
He bent over, took your hand and placed it on his chest, on his heart. You felt the rapid beats under your palms.
“I’m as nervous as you,” his voice was tender, “I’m not that experienced, I’m afraid of making mistakes, and ruining the moment. But as you can feel it, I’m excited as fuck. I want to do this.”
He lowered his head just above yours, his gentle eyes roving over your figure on the bed.
“So, can you trust me?”
Lips pressed against yours, he ravaged your mouth. His kiss was feverish, hungry. Your lips molding against each other, tongue brushing against each other, the atmosphere quickly became sensual and intense. Your hands caressed his arms, gripped as his shirt when he nuzzled your neck to press soft kisses against it.
“I always wanted to see your tattoos,” you whispered, turning your head to give him more room to kiss you.
“You do?” Choso smiled against your skin, his tongue licking at a spot on your neck. You shivered at the sensation.
He straightened himself, knees on the bed. He took off his shirt, and your eyes widened at the amount of tattoos he had on his chest and arms. You lifted a hand to touch them, hypnotized.
“Do they have any special meanings?”
“No, I liked the drawings.” He took your hands and let it roam on his skin.
His skin was smooth, you were taking in the sight of him, shirtless in front of you, his muscles flexing with each of your touch. He looked like a fallen angel. An extraordinary beauty, complex and dark with ink on his skin, and his long black hair.
“Let me see you too,” he murmured and tugged at your dress.
You flinched, hesitant. This was going to be the first time a man saw you naked after your pregnancy. You couldn’t help but be invaded by insecure thoughts about your body. You hadn’t yet lost the weight gained during pregnancy, and working from home, you weren’t getting much exercise. You had the “mom bod” that people online liked to criticize. Choso noticed your expression and bent over again, cupping your face. His touch was gentle.
“What is it?”
“It’s embarrassing,” you chuckled uncomfortably.
“Tell me.”
He looked so good just above you, you were almost jealous of him. You looked away, not knowing how to explain what you were feeling. His eyes narrowed as he looked at you.
“I want to hear it, even if it's embarrassing,” he whispered softly, not backing down.
“It’s been a while, that’s all.”
He gently eased the straps of your dress down your arms, and you flinched without wanting it.
“You’re sure you want it?”
Your stomach dropped, feeling guilty. You were ruining this.
“Of course I do, it’s just…”
God, it was so frustrating. You didn’t want to make a fool of yourself in front of him and call yourself fat, you didn’t want to seem like you needed attention. Raising a child alone has taught you to be independent, to not rely on others, so why did you feel so weak right now? You were worth more than this.
“Leave it to me,” Choso whispered, his voice soft and reassuring, and you were grateful to have come across someone so gentle with you.
He nuzzled against your neck again, kissing the sensitive flesh. As he was wandering his lips on your skin, his hands were busy removing your dress. He removed each layer of clothing gently and patiently, his touch soft on your skin. With the dress off, all you had left was your underwear. Your heart was pounding, and you fought the need to cover your breasts with your arm. As you breastfed your daughter, your breasts were a bit saggy and was your biggest insecurity.
His eyes never left your face, his head went down and down, kissing your shoulders, your collarbones, and then your chest. Goosebumps spread across your flesh as the cold air of the room brushed your skin. He wrapped his tongue around one of your nipple and sucked it. You arched your back on the bed, dipping your hands in his hair. He revelled in the pleasure he could make you feel.
Tits stuffed in his mouth, his hands wandered around your thighs, teasing you. His palms were dangerously close to an area that was yearning for his touch. You let out a soft moan when his fingers started to caress your center. He shivered at the sound, and continued his caresses on your clothed cunt. His index and his middle fingers moved back and forth at the wet spot on the underwear, and he smiled against your skin as he felt you squirming under him.
He didn't torture you for long, as he slid his fingers under your thong to finger you better. His elbow on the bed, he kept his eyes on your face as he pushed his fingers in and out, the soft squelch of your pussy enveloping the room. He took pleasure just by looking at you squirming and gasping for air, hearing your soft pleas. You tugged at his hair, as you rocked your hips against his hands, chasing your orgasm. You were so close, you needed a little more.
“Cho’,” you were a mess, moaning his name as his thumb rubbed against your clit.
“I know, I know,” Choso sucked on your nipple, his fingers thrusting in and out your center, his hands sticky by your arousal.
There was something magical about having your tits eaten while being fingered. It was an incredible, intoxicating feeling that washed over you as you came on his fingers. For a second, you forgot about your insecurities and were overcome by pleasure.
Choso didn’t waste time, and quickly took off his jeans and boxers, and threw them somewhere in the room. He was so excited, his cock was throbbing.
“Wait,” you stopped him, coming down from your high.
You sat up to grab a condom from your nightstand and handed it to him. A deep, low laugh rumbled in his chest as he took it.
“My bad, I almost forgot.”
He put the condom on and positioned himself between your legs. He looked up to take in the sight of you lying on the bed for him. He saw the stretch marks that you proudly displayed, your saggy breasts that made you self-conscious, and the parts of your body that were thick and round, and he fucking loved it. Electric feeling sparked across his body as he gazed at you with feverish eyes. You were so fucking sexy that he couldn’t wait to ravish you. He had always told himself that he did not have a type of girls in his life, but as he looked at your chest rising and falling, he thought that his type was you. He wanted all of you, and it was with the intention of driving you crazy with pleasure that he lined his throbbing cock with your entrance, and slammed into you.
You jolted, a moan of pain slipping out of your mouth. He was so big, and was making you feel full, you needed time to adjust at his length.
“Sorry,” he whispered as he rubbed his thumb on your clit to relax you.
He pushed in and out in a slow motion, giving time to adjust. When he noticed your expression was relaxed, he started to picking up the pace of his thrusts. His hands gripped your love handles to hold you in place and you were flustered by his animality. He was going to fuck you stupid, you knew that.
“You’re so beautiful, it’s a crime that you’re not married to me and I can’t fuck you like this everyday.”
You wanted to answer to him but you were panting, and struggled to even articulate a sentence as he pounded into you. He was fucking you stupid, the shy and gentle Choso wasn’t here anymore and all that remained was the wild creature he was becoming because of you. He was fucking you to oblivion, his cock rutting into you. Lewd and wet noises enveloped the room.
“You hear how good I am making you feel, baby? If you were mine, I would let you feel like this everyday,” he breathed out.
In pure bliss, his eyes roamed your figure on the bed, your tits and other parts of your thick body jiggling and bouncing because of his hard thrusts, and he felt in heaven. That was what he wanted in his life. He turned you around, your chest pressing against the mattress, and your ass up. Nervous, you turned your head to look at him behind you but he pushed your head against the pillow as he grew more dominant and slammed his hips against your ass. Your whole body jolted and you moaned into the pillow, gripping it in your hands.
“That ass is to kill for,” he grunted as he gripped your love handles even tighter, and he was becoming dizzy as he looked at your ass ricochetting on his pelvis with each of his thrusts. He slapped your ass with force, and soft pleas left your mouth.
He completely ravaged your body, fucking you with force and intensity from the back. Gasping for air, you rolled your eyes to the back of your head, moaning helplessly into the pillow as you were close. Even when you came, he didn’t stop. He continued to pound into you as if it was his last mission on earth, and when he finished, you had no strength anymore in your body.
────୨ৎ────
“I’m not casual about you,” he whispered softly in your hair, “I'll scare you if you knew everything I imagine with you.”
A soft chuckle escaped your mouth. Lying on the bed together, legs intertwined, bodies sweating, and slowly catching your breaths, you relaxed together.
And you imagined a life where Choso were yours, and you felt happy in his arms.

Thirsty Thursday - Stevie’s Garage
steddie, omegaverse, 1960s, omegas entering the workforce, single parents, cw: vague references to suicide
Steve liked working with his hands. As a child that meant playing with lincoln logs and tinker toys, after he presented it meant baking a sewing. Then his no-good, two-timing alpha left him for his secretary, with two pups, Danny (6) and Jenny (7 1/2). Steve won full custody in the divorce, and at least his ex pays his alimony on time.
But it isn’t enough to live on, not with the mortgage and the kids. Fortunately, he doesn’t have to worry about the house falling apart; he’s been doing home repairs the entire time, learned to change his own oil in his car, can fix a flat tire with ease.
More and more omegas are driving now, and Steve figures they would appreciate service from someone who won’t talk down to them. He gets a loan from his aunt, a maiden omega who invested well, and opens his own automobile service station: Stevie’s Garage.
Robin helps him get set up: painting the sign, ordering supplies, answering phone calls, while Steve gets under the hoods and gets his hands dirty.
He does well enough that after the first month he puts an ad in the paper to hire a second mechanic. He figures it will take a while to find an alpha (or even a beta) who can stand working for an omega.
Much to his surprise, a man with dark curls and a shy smile comes by later that week asking if the job is still available. Steve has Eddie check the car on the lift, and he finds the loose fan belt in a couple minutes, changes it out.
Steve hires him on the spot.
It turns out Eddie’s got a pup, too. Carrie’s in Danny’s class at school, and all Eddie will say is that her mother isn’t around anymore. Steve doesn’t pry. It means the three pups ride the bus to the garage after school and play together there until the workday is done. Jenny’s bossy, a bit feral, and loyal to a fault. The first day Carrie gets off the bus with them, she asks why she isn’t going home to her mom, all childish bluntness.
“Mama died in the bathtub when I was really little, then I went to live with Daddy,” Carrie answers, just a statement of fact.
Steve’s glad he didn’t pry.
After that, Jenny is as protective of Carrie as she is of her brother.
Three months after he hired Eddie, Steve admits to himself that he likes the alpha. More than likes him. Eddie smells nice, and he’s gentle with the pups, never raises his voice in anger—only in excitement or fear—he tells jokes and stories to pass the time, sings along with the radio. But mostly, he looks at Steve like a starving man looks at bread when he thinks the omega isn’t looking.
Steve wants to feed him.
They both have engine grease under their fingernails, are covered in heavy-duty cotton, Steve’s hair is under a kerchief; there is nothing particular sexy about the moment. But Steve can’t wait any longer, and he presses up against Eddie, pins him in place and kisses his mouth.
“I’m dead, yeah? The lift fell and I was crushed by Mrs. Wheeler’s Bel Air, and I’m dead,” Eddie babbles when their lips part.
“Not dead,” Steve replies with a grin. “I’ve been wanting to do that for a while.”
“Yeah?”
“Yeah.” Steve leans in for another kiss, one that Eddie deepens, his tongue slipping easily between parted lips. “I’ll need to get Robin to babysit.”
“Oh?”
“Yeah, Munson. You’re taking me out dancing.”
✨✨✨
Steve answers the door with his housecoat still on, crouching down to say hello to Carrie first, the pup throwing her arms around his neck. “Head into the living room, honey, the kids are doing a puzzle with Robbie,” he says, watching her scamper past him into the house. He turns to Eddie with a soft smile, “Just give me a couple minutes and I’ll be ready to go.”
“Yeah, sure,” Eddie agrees, smile just as soft.
Steve disappears to his bedroom, and Eddie waits awkwardly in the doorway. He hears laughter from deeper in the house, followed by Robin saying, “Hey there, Care-Bear, come sit by me.”
He’s ruminating on how nice it is to have people who adore his kid as much as he does around, to give her that big family feeling, at least a little bit. Then Steve comes down the hallway wearing a proper dress, and Eddie quite literally stops breathing.
Dressed to the nines, Steve is a revelation, but he simply takes Eddie’s hand and says, “So, where are you taking me?”
“Enzo’s,” Eddie answers, no longer worried that it’s too much. Steve deserves the nicest restaurant in town for their first date. Steve deserves the best of everything.
Not that either of them has fancy tastes, not knowing what half the things on the menu are. Eddie gets spaghetti and meatballs, and Steve gets a chicken dish with some kind of red sauce. They talk and trade bites of food, both careful as they eat—Steve due to a lifetime of practice, Eddie because he realized as soon as the waiter took their order that he’d made a mistake and that leaving without marinara on his shirt would be a miracle.
After, he tells Steve to order dessert, and they split a tiramisu. Eddie pays the bill without really looking at it, having kept a tally in his head of the prices by habit, leaves a nice tip, and helps Steve up from his seat. “Ready for that dance?”
Steve smiles and nods, following Eddie to the dance floor. Enzo’s has a live band on the weekends; “Unforgettable” by Nat King Cole starts just as Steve steps onto the parquet dance floor, his arms settling easily around Eddie’s neck. “I love this song,” he murmurs as they start to sway.
“Makes sense,” Eddie murmurs, “You’re certainly unforgettable, Steve.” They’re silent after that, moving to the music, bodies pressed close. A new song starts, and they keep swaying, dancing merely an excuse to hold each other in public, to trade small kisses.
“Robin’s planning to spend the night at my place,” Steve says once they are safely back in Eddie’s car.
“Oh?”
“We still have plenty of time…”
“Steve?”
“Take me back to your place, Eddie.”
He doesn’t need to be told twice, driving on autopilot, as Steve rubs his hand up and down Eddie’s thigh.
Steve pounces on him as soon as they get through Eddie’s front door, kissing him hard and reaching for his belt. They shed clothes down the hallway, until they reach Eddie’s bedroom, leaving the lights off, everything illuminated well enough by the nearly full moon.
Eddie stops breathing again. Steve is a vision in only his slip, white satin and lace showing off so much more of his skin than Eddie’s ever seen. Carefully, he reaches out, suddenly nervous—a crass, unworthy man standing before the loveliest omega on earth—and pinches a bit of fabric at Steve’s waist, afraid to touch more.
“Hey,” Steve whispers, placing a hand over Eddie’s, “It’s okay. I’m still just me. Not gonna break, Ed.”
Everything after that is slow and sweet. Perfect.
Eddie cries tears of pleasure as he sinks into Steve’s wet heat. Steve mewls at being properly knotted for the first time in years. They fall asleep tangled together, the most relaxed either of them have felt, possibly ever.
Steve wakes early, before the sun is up. Eddie stirs beside him as soon as he moves, and Steve is happy to take a couple minutes to kiss.
There’s plenty of time to get home before the pups wake.
✨✨✨
Big thanks to @itcanbepalped for sharing the inspo with me and then riffing for a bit! Love you, Mads!!!

Yandere!bodyguard
♡ Money or not, he's always near.
Note: slight violence, implications of a bad relationship.
Once upon a time, you too were a little girl staring at the TV screen all starry eyed. It was a dream of yours to be like one of those lovely women living the life.
Now, you felt what it was like. Basking in the warmthness of luxury and popularity, it was all you ever wanted.
But fame had an ugly side to it.
Forget the hate — the feeling of eyes wathing your every move, picking apart your every expression to the last bit was exhausting. It was a price to pay, a fellow co-star once advised as your career shot up drastically.
Thankfully, the problem didn't really persist. Matteo was by your side. Even if he was getting paid to do so.
The bodyguard had the muscles for the job and his experience was nothing short of amazing. He worked with countless celebrities bigger than you ever would be. Though, that is the bit that confused you. Why would he settle for you? A big name in the fim industry did offer him a job that paid twice than what you did.
He was doing this for the money...
...right?
♡
"Matteo," you sung softly from behind the curtain. Currently, you were at a store and trying on some outfits.
"Yes, ma'am?" Matteo replied, carrying designer bags on both arms.
Strutting out, you twirled around in the dress. It was a pretty blue colour that fitted you perfectly, almost made specifically for you. He swallowed, throat going dry.
You gushed, "Oh, isn't this perfect? I just have to get it. What do you think?"
His mind went a little fuzzy at that, his heart beating thump thump against his chest. Almost as if he forgot how to speak.
No one could rival a sight like yours, and he's seen lots of sights ever since he decided to protect famous figures worldwide from his youth. However, you carried a charisma, an air about you that was so...enticing.
Was it an exaggeration? No.
Well, was it an understatement? 100%.
Before Matteo could even process the overwhelming feelings all at once, your concerned face came into view. "Are you okay?"
Almost frantically, he nodded. "Yes, yes, I'm fine."
The baby blue dress bounced up and down as you beamed, amusement creeping nto your tone.
"Do you not think my dress looks nice?"
How could you even think that? Just seeing you like this made him so giddy like a schoolgirl, because you were trying on dresses for him. It was a privilege.
"N-no, ma'am, it's so..." Matteo breathed out, "...beautiful."
"Then I'll get the dress! It's not everyday you call something beautiful, 'teo!" You clapped your hands, disappearing back into the dressing room and not giving him time to even react at yiur careful consideration of his opinion.
A smile grew upon his lips as heat rushed to his cheeks and the area downwards.
For the first time in all his years of looming over his clients like a shadow, he never felt wanted, the relationships consisting of professional contracts.
He wouldn't get a single cent and still thank you for letting him protect you.
You got him in too deep. Suffer the consequences of your actions.
Surely, keeping him around meant something?
♡
The car halted in front of the gala.
Perched on the backseat, you wore the pretty blue dress along with your hair and makeup styled to match.
Matteo stared longingly at you through the rear-view mirror. Your pouty lips were coated in gloss, a forbidden place he'd never touch but only look
He cleared his throat. "Ready to go in, ma'am?"
With a nod, you both walked into the event. A bombshell and the striking wolf behind her.
Familiar faces painted on forced smiles as they mingled, paparazzi's cameras flickering constantly.
You were the only authentic one.
"Oh, y/n, I just adore your outfit." A woman who walked up to you complimented.
As you thanked her, Matteo watched like a hawk. He couldn't afford any risks especially when someone tried to slip someting in your drink right in front of him last time.
Amidst the crowd, you both failed to notice some of the paparazzi's attention zeroing in on your bodyguard's intense eyes thay never left you.
Click.
It would make a good story.
All it took was one, stupid glance away, then you vanished out of thin air.
Everything went downhill from there.
Like a rabid dog, Matteo tore through the sea of people, his eyes looking around for your gorgeous, unmistakable features.
Where are you?
You can't go. A dog can't be left alone without his owner.
Please be okay.
♡
You were not okay.
"C'mon, honey, I know you want this too!" That disgusting voice pleaded, paired with a sleazy grin.
Your imbecile of an ex boyfriend couldn't seem to take a hint.
Over a year ago, you had to leave the toxic relationship. Along with being a professional cheater, he also seemed to have a masters in manipulation and narcissism. Now, you were stuck with him in a secluded area. Great.
Frantically, you looked around for Mattheo. Surely, he'd be here any minute. Did he not notice your absence?
"Get off of me! I told you I don't want to see you ever again!" You exclaimed, your voice cracking at the end and amoing you sound so weak.
All it took was a moment of vunerability for him to go absolutely condescending on you, "I missed you too, babe. Stop playing and let's go back to the way we were." You smelt alchohol on his breath, dread filling your stomach. He got the scariest when drunk.
No matter how much you pulled your wrist out of his grasp, he didn't budge. Were the endless articles about your breakup that went on for months not enough to drive him away?
"Leave me alone!"
"Babe, don't play hard to get."
"No, I'm not, go away."
"You are. Let's go ho-"
"No!"
Without thinking, your hand connected with his cheek, leaving a pink mark in its wake.
Slowly, he reached up to touch it in shock, his dumb gaze flickering from you to his hand on his face. Then, those eyes went absolutely feral.
Almost instantly, he pushed you to the floor, making you hit your side with a wince.
In a terrifying voice, he snarled: "Disgusting woman. I don't know what I even saw in a girl like you who thinks she's all that. Ungrateful."
This is what happened every time. It was like a cycle that no matter how much you tried to break, it managed to suck you back into the same scenario with new blooming bruises to match the old ones.
"I should teach you a lesson. Put you back in your place, what do ya think?
Tears filled your eyes as you peered up at him, "p-please no-"
"Shut up!" He barked, "how annoying can you be? I should get it over with, maybe you'll thank me for it someday."
You raised a hand to cover yourself from the-
A certain force collided into his body.
The two figures tumbled to the ground. Wide, almost insane eyes peered into your ex's.
Matteo. He never looked this terrifying, almost possessed.
Over and over again, the guy received punches like hammers to the point where he almost looked unrecognisable. In that moment, all he saw was red.
"You think you can touch her and can get away with it? You don't even deserve to breathe the same air as her, damn it!" Your guard dog snarled, his teeth bared.
The only things that stopped him from killing the pig were the people who held him back, otherwise Mattheo would be in prison. However, it was still a struggle to hold back the muscular hulk.
Matteo glared while he struggled, "If she wasn't here, you'd be six feet under by now."
His fists shook as the voices inside him demanded more.
Kill him.
Kill him.
He touched your girl.
Snapping out of it, he looked over to where you were curled up against the floor, pitiful sobs escaping your lips. Poor thing.
A silhouette crouched down to your level, despite it still towering over you.
The familiar hands, now coated in blood, cupped your face. "Don't cry. See? I took care of him. The punk doesn't deserve your tears."
Your face was tilted up, your teary eyes framed by the smudged eye makeup.
He brought your shivering form to his chest, nose buried in your hair. Your arms wrapped around him, sobbing into his chest, the safe haven you found solace in.
"You should know by now I'd do anything to protect you."
That was a promise he kept and intended to still keep. Even if he wanted to break it, he couldn't.
After all, loyalty was burned and embedded into his soul, like the devoted man he'll always be.

heads up: this is longer than what i usually post here. oops.
this... is not how the story is supposed to go. your head is pounding when you wake up, body slumped slightly forward save for the way you've been bound to the chair you were thrown into. you blink a few times, brows drawing together as you lift your head. when did you get here...? one minute you were escaping up into this tower, the next...
fuck. where's your satchel? you gasp, immediately trying to pull one of your arms free. what the hell is this--hair? "shit. shit, shit, shit--"
"struggling..." a voice calls out, faltering just a bit, and you freeze. "struggling is pointless."
... fuck, what did you get into this time? the kingdom's already after your head and, with your luck, they're probably on their way to haul you off into a cell for the rest of your life. you can hear the sound of someone climbing down, and can make out the frame of that same person standing in the shadows.
"i'm not afraid of you. so... who are you?" he speaks again, slowly making his way forward. "and how did you find me?"
... huh? "sorry?" you furrow your brows. "i don't--"
"i said--" he steps into the light, and you're met with the pretty face of a young man... and the owner of the hair you're currently, literally, in. "who are you," he grips an iron pan in one hand like a weapon, and he looks like he could kill if he had to (then again, you think most people are like that when they see you nowadays), "and how did you find me?"
for a moment, you think you've seen his face before. a passing moment, nothing serious, but the feeling fades all too quickly. "look, buddy--"
"jeonghan." he spits his name at you, but there's a playfulness in his eyes as he makes his way over to you, lightly poking you with the pan. "you're the one tied up right now. you should respect me, hm?"
"look, jeonghan," you say, "i don't know who you are. i don't even want to be here. i just want to leave you alone, alright?" you tug again at the restrains. since when was hair this strong...? "you let me go, give me my bag, and i'll get out of your hair."
he crosses his arms, sizing you up. "i don't think so."
shutting your eyes, you try to gather some sort of patience. you don't have time for this. that fucking horse is probably sniffing you out right now. "i mean it! thought this place was abandoned, and, uh," you put on the most charming smile you can as you look at him, "didn't expect a handsome fella like you to be here--my bad, truly--but i've got places to be that aren't here."
that playfulness disappears in his eyes as he studies you. "... you really don't want my hair, then?"
"with all due respect, why the fuck would i want your hair?"
jeonghan eyes you suspiciously, and makes his way over to a different wall behind you. "no reason. how about we make a deal?"
you can hear the sound of him climbing behind you, and then the harsh tug of his impossibly long hair sends your chair spinning until you've hit the floor with a grunt. with a little struggling, you manage to peer up to where he's pulling back a curtain, revealing a mural of the lantern festival the kingdom does every year for the lost prince.
he nodes toward it. "you know what these are?"
"who doesn't?" you push as hard as you can just to get your weight off of your face and neck, and manage to get the chair sideways. "floating lantern thing. king and queen do it every year. think it's tomorrow." you pause for a moment. "... was that the deal? i answer your question and you let me go?"
his brows lift, and he's genuinely delighted with your initial response. he rushes down to you, already pushing your chair up so that he can be face to face with you. "the deal is," he presses the end of the pan against your chest, "you take me to go see those things and bring me back home... and then i'll give you your satchel back."
"... uh. no." you eye him suspiciously. does this guy... not have any idea who you are? waltzing back into the kingdom now would be a death sentence for you, especially with your name on one third of the wanted posters out there. "just go by yourself."
jeonghan's smile falls, and he crosses his arms. "so you don't want your bag? you'll never find it without me." he strolls away from you, looking out the nearby window. "it might not even be here next time you wake up..."
shit. he's too serious to not mean it. you've risked everything to steal that crown, including trusting two idiots that are probably also planning your death right about now. "that's it?" you turn your face as best as you can see him. "lights show and then home. that's all you want?"
he smiles at you. "is there something i should add?"
fine. if pretty man wants a road trip... then you can give him a road trip. "then it's a deal."
another tug of his hair sends your chair spinning around. to your surprise, you don't hit the floor: jeonghan's hand catches the back of it as he grins at you. "it's a pleasure doing business with you, then."

Burnt Edges
Abby Anderson x f!reader (with PTSD) 👉🏻original version 👈🏻 Wanted to make another version for my Abby girls so y'all can feel represented too 🫶🏻
I'm a minor and if you want to complain or insult me about it, just don't interact🙏🏻. It's my life, and I'm free to write whatever I want as long as I'm not bothering anyone. Also, please don't judge any grammar mistakes, as English is not my native language. I'm sorry if the whole story isn't that good.
TW: I have PTSD (DIAGNOSED), and what you're about to read is based on my personal experiences. Writing about it is a form of therapy for me. If you are sensitive to topics like violence and domestic violence, please do not continue reading. Thank you🙏🏻
Btw I need more Abby x PTSD reader stories because I want to feel less alone and represented
story below the cut
The WLF base was bustling as usual, soldiers moving in every direction with purpose. It was organized chaos, but the rhythm of it kept your mind just busy enough to not wander too far. You had been here for weeks now, a stray who Abby had somehow decided was worth keeping around. She didn’t talk much about why—just said you seemed “useful” and left it at that.
But tonight, after the day’s drills and patrols, you needed air. The weight in your chest had been building all day, the familiar tightness creeping in. The base was too loud, too crowded, too much like the chaos you used to live in. You found yourself climbing to the roof, the one place no one ever seemed to go.
When the door creaked open behind you, you sighed. So much for solitude.
“Figured I’d find you up here,” Abby said, her voice steady but not unkind.
You turned, finding her leaning casually against the doorway. Her braid hung over her shoulder, and her broad frame filled the space effortlessly. Abby was intimidating at first glance—hell, even second and third glance—but there was something about her that made you feel safe in a way you hadn’t in a long time.
“What gave me away?” you asked, forcing a weak smile as you lit your cigarette.
Abby stepped onto the roof and shrugged. “You disappear when you’re overwhelmed. You’re not as sneaky as you think.”
Her bluntness was typical, but it wasn’t cruel. If anything, it was grounding. She moved to sit beside you, her heavy boots thudding against the concrete as she stretched her legs out.
The two of you sat in silence for a while, the distant hum of the base fading into the background. Abby wasn’t much for small talk, and you appreciated that.
“You smoke a lot for someone who can barely keep up on a run,” she teased eventually, smirking as she glanced at you.
You snorted, shaking your head. “Yeah, well… cardio’s overrated.”
“Not when you’re being chased by infected.”
“Fair point.”
Another silence settled, and you found yourself exhaling a plume of smoke, watching it dissipate into the night. You could feel Abby’s eyes on you, her curiosity barely masked. She wasn’t the kind to pry, but she wasn’t one to let something slide if she thought it mattered.
“You’ve been… off today,” she said after a moment, her voice quieter than usual.
You stiffened, gripping the cigarette between your fingers. “What do you mean?”
Abby shrugged, leaning back on her hands. “You didn’t even flinch when Manny cracked a joke at you earlier. Usually, you’d at least roll your eyes. Something’s eating at you.”
You hesitated, the weight in your chest growing heavier. Abby wasn’t wrong, but the idea of saying it out loud felt suffocating. Still, the look she gave you—patient, steady—made you feel like maybe you could.
“It’s… nothing,” you muttered at first, then winced at her unimpressed scoff. “Okay, fine. It’s not nothing. It’s just—this place. The noise, the shouting, the slamming doors. It reminds me of… home.”
Abby tilted her head, her brows knitting slightly. “Home?”
You took another drag of your cigarette, the smoke burning your throat. “My dad. let’s just say he wasn’t exactly Father of the Year material. Yelling was the least of it.”
You didn’t elaborate, but Abby’s sharp eyes softened, her expression shifting from curiosity to something that looked like understanding.
“Shit,” she muttered, leaning forward. “I didn’t know.”
“Yeah, well,” you said, flicking the ash off your cigarette, “it’s not exactly something I put on my résumé.”
Abby huffed a laugh at that, but it was soft, almost careful. She leaned back again, her gaze fixed on the skyline. “That why you’re always so jumpy?”
You nodded, not bothering to deny it. “PTSD’s a hell of a ride.”
She was quiet for a moment, the tension between you settling into something heavier but not unwelcome. “I can’t even imagine what that’s like,” she said finally, her voice low. “But… I get the needing space part. I didn’t grow up with that kind of shit, but since… since everything with my dad and the Fireflies, sometimes it feels like I can’t breathe when things get too loud.”
Her admission caught you off guard, and you turned to look at her. For all her strength, Abby carried a weight too. It was different from yours, but it was still there, etched into the set of her jaw and the faint lines around her eyes.
“Well,” you said, smirking despite the heaviness in your chest, “guess we’re both a little screwed up.”
“Guess so,” Abby agreed, a faint smile tugging at her lips.
You took one last drag of your cigarette before stubbing it out against the concrete. Then, without thinking, you added, “What can I say? My PTSD made me hotter.”
Abby blinked, staring at you for a moment before bursting into a laugh—a real, genuine laugh that echoed into the night. It was rare to hear her laugh like that, and you couldn’t help but grin, feeling a little lighter just from the sound.
“You’re ridiculous,” she said, shaking her head as she wiped a tear from the corner of her eye.
“Yeah, but you love it,” you shot back, leaning back on your hands with a smug smile.
Abby rolled her eyes, but the warmth in her expression betrayed her. “Don’t push your luck, rookie.”

The laugh escapes him before he can even stop himself. No, Megumi was nothing like him, that was for sure. Or so he hopes. That was the last thing he wanted for Megumi to turn out a piece of shit like him. From what he’s seen so far though, he knows that is not the case. Megumi was better than him, far better than he’ll ever be. The thought makes him oddly proud as if he had any right to feel proud. All the good qualities that turned out in Megumi were definitely no thanks to him.
Toji's gaze remains on Megumi, his own eyes seeming to react to the spark in Megumi’s own green eyes. Good, he liked seeing emotion in his son, better than numbness which is how he had coped with things when he was Megumi’s age. Slowly he sits up as Megumi continues to let it out.
“Yeah, yeah.”
He sighs but the kid wasn’t wrong. Toji almost ran away several times now. He still could and that’s what Megumi was probably expecting from him. Why would he expect anything else? Despite Toji’s words and staying with him one night, he had yet to prove himself. Maybe Megumi had caught on to his dad’s way, running away first before he was hurt. Damn it, maybe he is a little like him after all.
Megumi was someone who cared deeply about others he can see that now, plus he has people that care about him, friends, and classmates. So it was only natural for him to want to know what is going on out there after the shit show that happened and only natural for him to want to make sure everyone he cared about was alright as well as let them know that he was alright. Toji doesn’t react to the explosions.
“It’s not your fault. None of what happened out there was your fault.”
Some of it might have been his fault. If Toji hadn’t attacked Megumi the first time, if he hadn’t brutally beaten him the second time, well maybe Megumi would be out there helping. However, something in his stomach twists at the thought. Fuck that, he didn’t want Megumi anywhere near those curse users and curses out there. As well as some stupid sorcerers that would only end up getting him hurt or worse.
When the second explosion is heard, Toji grunts as he finally gets up from the bed and searches for a proper outfit. He slips on some dark jeans and a plain shirt, then a light jacket. Making sure not to forget that fancy credit card he found in Megumi’s pocket. They’ll need that for sure.
“Alright, what's your plan then kid? We agreed I’d come with you so that is what is going to happen now whether you like it or not.”
Yeah, there is no way he’s letting Megumi just run off on his own just yet. Maybe once he’s fully healed again if he really wants him gone, he’ll disappear for good again. Once this whole mess is cleared up they find a way to release Gojo from the seal. Or…
“You don’t have to fight though, you don’t owe the sorcerer society, shit. But if that is what you want to do.”
Toji shrugs. They could just go off on their own, and start fresh. Maybe Megumi could finally be a normal kid and just live a normal life. He feels fucking ridiculous for even allowing such thoughts into his head. As if he was capable of giving Megumi a normal life, he wasn’t capable back then so why the fuck would he be capable now? There was also no way that Megumi would want that. He can feel a headache coming on, fuck now he remembers being a dad well it is something alright. He just hopes they get to stop somewhere for breakfast on the way to wherever the fuck Megumi wanted to go.
Almost like a scene from a cartoon, Megumi nearly jumped out of his skin when his father's gruff, sleep-addled voice cut through the silence. The boy's cheeks reddened quickly with guilt -- except, there was NOTHING to be a shamed about. He whirled around to face his father except only dark silhouettes were in his vision. The red on his cheeks transformed from guilt into anger as he marched towards the closest window and whipped the thick curtain aside. He needed to see his father clearly for this and needed his father to see him clearly. The sky wasn't even bathed in oranges and pinks; it was blue and bright. He narrowed his eyes when his vision was assaulted by the light but he adjusted quickly.
“ I'm not like YOU! ”
Megumi paused to calm himself down but his cheeks were still flushed red and there were sparks in his green eyes.
“ I don't leave people behind. I don't have my phone and I... just wanted to -- I don't know. Step outside to think, to see if Sukuna Ryoumen didn't decimate Japan while I was sleeping. ”
There was more than a hint of guilt there. It WAS guilt which had caused Megumi to leave his father's side though momentary -- and momentary he had intended it to be. In the case Megumi died fighting Sukuna, he wouldn't leave his father abandoned in some hotel like his father had done to him in a similar fashion. Megumi exhaled loudly; the anger dripping away from his heart and expression. He slowly walked over and sat on the very edge of the bed, now not looking at his father.
“ Even if I was missing an arm, I would still fight. I don't have a choice. I need to talk---. ”
The distant sound of an explosion cut him off. It was far away, just far to hear it without it being downright alarming. It was followed by another sound of exploding and crashing. The Culling Games had begun without Megumi knowing. The boy jumped out of the bed to look out the window and the there was black smoke billowing in the air.

The Hidden Danganronpa Trope: The Red Eyed, Pig-tailed, Girl In Red and Black
I had posted this on Amino once before, I figured to repost it here.
Aside from similar color schemes, similar hair styles, and similar eye colors, these three characters have a lot more in common than one would initially realize.
Spoilers below for Trigger Happy Havoc, Super Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair, and V3: Killing Harmony, you've been warned.
Celestia Ludenburg from THH
The first red eyed, pig-tailed girl to set the precedence for her successors, is Celestia Ludenburg, the Ultimate Gambler. Makoto Naegi introduces himself and he's immediately suspicious of who she really is, seeing as "Celestia Ludenburg" is a rather odd name for a girl who claims to be from Japan. Regardless, she continues to lie and insist that Celestia Ludenburg is her real name.
At first glance, Celeste is seen as a rather cold, composed, and cunning individual who's willing to adapt to the killing game to live in Hope's Peak Academy for the rest of her foreseeable future. But in Chapter 2, we catch the ever so slightest glimpse of her true nature, as she yells and berates Hifumi due to the dissatisfaction of his milk tea. Her foreign accent disappears, and the calm, collected, individual is suddenly losing her shit, loudly might I add, over milk tea. Such an uncharacteristic crash out shocks the remaining survivors, this was a completely different person from who they've come to know.
It isn't until the end of the class trial in Chapter 3 that we learn who Celeste really is. If you didn't know then, you learned now that her vague European accent is fake. Even her name, "Celestia Ludenburg", as expected, was fake. Her real name is Taeko Yasuhiro, which she believes to be a "loser's name". She hates the common lifestyle she's lived up to this point, and hid her true identity from the rest of the peers. Who could've seen this coming? 😲
Peko Pekoyama from SDR2
Next up is Peko Pekoyama, the Ultimate Swordswoman. Immediately, you can tell that Peko and Celeste are two very different characters/people (depends on who you ask, ba dum tss 😉). While Peko is reserved and composed much like the counterpart aforementioned, she's much more trustworthy. She's open to social events such as parties and willing to put herself out there for introductions with her classmates, despite being emotionless. When meeting Hajime Hinata in SDR2 on Jabberwock Island, she's blunt with her intentions, stating that while she wants to get along, she won't hesitate to kill anyone should someone step out of line, all before anyone in SDR2 realized the predicament they were in.
Other than suspiciously meeting with Fuyuhiko Kuzuryuu in the mornings when he left the group, nothing else seems out of the ordinary...
Until Chapter 2...
More specifically, the trial of Mahiru Koizumi's death. Toward the end of the trial, Peko tells those who have survived up to that point that she murdered Mahiru because she was Sparkling Justice, a vigilante who targeted criminals, in hopes that she wouldn't be considered the actual blackened. But thanks to Hajime and Sonia Nevermind, her lie about her motive and identity was revealed. We learn that the Kuzuryuu Clan adopted Peko for the sole purpose of serving as Fuyuhiko's sword and shield. She's not just a bodyguard, she sees herself as a tool, to be used by Fuyuhiko, void of any human emotion, intuition, or agency; a rather negative self image, wouldn't you say?
...is it clicking yet? Have you perhaps found a few similarities in Celeste and Peko? Keep whatever thoughts you have on hold as I talk about the last character.
Maki Harukawa from V3
Ah, yes, our final girl! Kaede Akamatsu and Shuichi Saihara meets Maki Harukawa as the Ultimate Child Caregiver, in the library of the Ultimate Academy of Gifted Juveniles in Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony. Despite another change in location, Maki appears to be reserved, composed, and cold initially. Despite Kaede's observation that Maki doesn't look like a child caregiver (and Kaito's opinion that she looks like someone who could fight), nothing else about Maki stands out too much in the prologue and first chapter.
Maki's suddenly thrusted into the spotlight in...you guessed it, the second chapter!
As soon as more Ultimate Research Labs become available, Maki goes off on her own and finds her own behind a gold and crimson door, which doesn't give a "child caregiver" vibe at all. She's even more distant than usual and doesn't let anyone see her lab. And once Ryoma's body is found, Maki refuses to participate in the investigation.
The second trial begins. Her refusal to cooperate and her lack of an alibi makes Maki quite suspicious. But she didn't murder anyone, she just lied about who she is. Toward the end of the chapter, Kokichi reveals to the surviving students that Maki's not a child caregiver, she's the Ultimate Assassin.
Unlike her predecessors though, Maki actually manages to make it to the end of Chapter 3, and survives the killing game alongside Shuichi and Himiko Yumeno, with some interesting character development. Throughout V3 and through FTES, we learn that Maki was tortured into becoming the assassin as we know (and love) today. She had went through so much pain and anger for being forced to kill people that eventually, she became numb to it all. Maki was used, and because of this, she begun to hate herself, believing that she was nothing more than a tool for killing who didn't deserve any friends or compassion (luckily until Kaito Momota convinced her otherwise).
So, to recap:
They're all female
They all have red eyes and pig-tailed hair with pale skin
Their ensemble consists of red, white, and black
They're initially composed, somewhat cold, and reserved
In Chapter 2, a part of their identity is revealed
(I say a part because in Chapter 2 of THH, it's revealed that Celeste's accent and personality are both fabricated, which isn't exactly her whole identity like Peko's or Maki's, but it's something)
Each one of these three characters have lied about who they really are~~
(Celeste lied about being...well Celeste, Peko lied about being Sparkling Justice and went on pretending that she and Fuyuhiko had no connection outside of Hope's Peak, and Maki lied about being the Ultimate Child Caregiver)
Each one of these characters have killed at least one person
(If you believe that Tsumugi is lying and Maki Harukawa is actually an assassin)
Each one of these characters holds a negative self image about themselves due to their past/upbringing
(Celeste hates who she is due to her "commoner" life, Peko believes she isn't human and that her only purpose is to serve Fuyuhiko, while Maki hated herself after being forced into becoming an assassin)
Quite interesting, isn't it? So what it does all mean? Eh, not much, just thought this was pretty cool.
I mean, if anything, should a fourth Danganronpa Killing Game ever come to fruition, and there's yet another girl with red eyes, pig-tails, dressed in red, white, and black, at the very least we all know to be careful.

three cheers for your ego
hello mtt nation, i am here with my promised angsty christmas fic, as part of my defeat of my evil twin in the twinter war (i am the better twin now obviously). enjoy, and happy holidays >:3
When Sans comes back home from a tiring scouting mission, he immediately notices something is off. The food rations he’s so sure were left near the kitchen entryway are gone. That meager bits of fresh meat he’s scraped together for Gyftmas just simply… disappeared.
“what happened to the food?” he asked, already dreading the answer.
His younger brother, seated on the sofa in the living room, flinches but doesn’t look away from his intense blood red gaze. His hands twist nervously in his lap. “I… I GAVE IT TO THE BUNNIES.”
“you what?” Sans says, voice deceptively quiet. His whole body goes rigid and his fists clenches, threatening to break off the door handle he’s gripping.
“THEY NEED IT MORE THAN WE DID – THAN I DID,” Papyrus replies, his voice carefully laced with a tone of defiance that is not very helpful right now. “AND… IT’S GYFTMAS.”
Sans thunders across the room as he stands before papyrus, his teeth clenched so hard he can hear them grinding in his skull. “what does that even mean?! who the hell cares if it’s gyftmas?! that was all we had! do you understand what you’ve done?!”
Papyrus shoots up on his feet, his frame towering over Sans’ short stature. Sans unconsciously takes a step back, momentarily surprised by his brother’s reaction.
“I UNDERSTAND PERFECTLY,” Papyrus says, his voice low and steady. “THEY HAVE KIDS, SANS. LITTLE ONES. AND THEY ARE HUNGRY AND COLD. DO YOU EXPECT ME TO DO NOTHING? TO TURN MY BACK ON THEM?”
“yes!” Sans snaps. “exactly that! if we starve, who’s gonna save us? who’s gonna keep you alive?!”
Papyrus’ face twists in discomfort, but he stands his ground. “I DO THINK ABOUT IT, BROTHER,” he says, his voice soft. “IT’S UNCOMFORTABLE TO THINK ABOUT. BUT, WHAT’S THE POINT OF SURVIVING IF WE’RE JUST… CANNIBALIZING EACH OTHER IN THE PROCESS, LIKE WHAT’S HAPPENING IN OTHER PLACES? IN SNOWDIN, WE’RE SUPPOSED TO BE A COMMUNITY, SANS.”
“oh, spare me the sentimental piece,” Sans growls. “do you know how hard it is to get food around here? and you just threw it away to some family who wouldn’t lift a finger to help us if the tables were turned!”
“YOU DON’T KNOW THAT!” Papyrus shoots back, his voice slightly trembling. “KINDNESS STILL EXISTS! NOT EVERYONE IS LIKE YOU!”
The words hang in the air like a shotgun. Papyrus looks shocked at what came out of his mouth, but he doesn’t look sorry. Sans stares back at him, mouth open like he’s about to say something, but then he stops. Without a word, he turns on his heel and storms towards the door, anger rolling from him in waves.
“WHERE ARE YOU GOING?” Papyrus demands, rushing to block Sans’ path. Sans glares at him, irritated.
“where do you think?” he hisses, his eye narrowing dangerously. “i’m taking our food back.”
“YOU’RE GOING TO ROB THEM?!” Papyrus gasps, disbelief making way to horror. “THEY HAVE KIDS, SANS!! AND THEY HAVE NOTHING TO EAT!!”
“well, too bad then,” Sans spits. “no one steals from me. and the bunnies will learn real quick what happens when someone does. they’re gonna have a mad time.” A feral grin spreads across his face.
Papyrus stands in front of the door, defiant. “NO.”
“out of my way, paps.”
“NO! I WON’T LET YOU!”
“you think you can stop me? i can easily shortcut pass you.”
“I KNOW! BUT IT’S THE PRINCIPLE OF THE THING, AS YOUR BROTHER! IF YOU CROSS ME, I’LL WHACK YOU TIL YOU SEE SOME SENSE IN THAT CRACKED HEAD OF YOURS!!” Papyrus crosses his arms, disapproving.
“you think you’re so much better than me? you think you can survive on morals alone?”
“NO,” Papyrus replies, his voice soft. “I JUST WANT TO BE BETTER THAN THIS.”
After an eternity, Sans drops his coat and lies on the sofa, the tension in the room lessening but still palpable.
“well, merry fucking gyftmas then,” he mutters. “i hope you’re happy with this.”
The frozen streets are silent, blanketed with layers of dust and snow. The streetlights flicker weakly as Sans makes his way towards the party venue and his favorite spot in Snowdin – Grillby’s. The place is quiet and empty, but bears a feast of dusty wine bottles, cold cinnabuns, and some canned goods. Sans hums a strange, broken tune as he prepares the table.
“paps, do you think this will be enough?” he asks, holding up a container of homemade soup he made by himself. He turns to the younger skeleton lingering near the jukebox, whose face is skeptical but amused.
“I THINK THAT SHOULD SUFFICE, BROTHER!” Papyrus says. “NO ONE WOULD EXPECT MUCH FROM YOU LAZYBONES, SO NO NEED TO BE SO WORRIED!”
Sans chuckles, putting the soup container onto the table. “you’re right, paps. shouldn’t be too important how it tastes – it’s the intention that counts.”
He walks up to the jukebox to see if it still works. A bit rusty from underuse, but he can fix it in a flash, no problem.
As he works, Papyrus trails behind him, his voice teasing. “WOW, YOU’RE REALLY PUTTING IT ALL THIS YEAR OF ALL TIME, HUH? FOOD, DECORATION, MUSIC, ALL THAT JAZZ. NYEH-HEH-HEH!”
“ha, good one, paps,” Murder snorts, then in a softer tone he continues. “it’s gyftmas. it’s supposed to be a special day. i guess… i just wanted to do something different, something new, this time. something nice. for you. for everyone else too.”
The next minutes are draped in silence, but the more comforting kind as Sans tinkers with the jukebox. Papyrus’ voice breaks it for just a moment. “IT’S WEIRD SEEING YOU SO… SENTIMENTAL.”
Sans doesn’t answer, busying himself with fixing the broken machine and then with arranging cracked plates and mismatched cutlery. He tries to be as meticulous as possible, careful not to disturb the frail air of festivity he has created in this small space. It should be a wonderful day today after all.
When everything is done, Sans sits in his place, reserving the place next to him for his brother. No one has arrived yet, but he guesses he can always start the feast early, a private celebration between him and Papyrus.
He pours a glass of wine for himself, then one for his brother. Papyrus looks a bit affronted at being offered a drink, but he doesn’t complain, so that should be good enough.
“a toast.” Sans raises his glass. “to time. to the end of a year. to family. to… the ones we’ve lost.” He clinks his glass softly against Papyrus, who doesn’t pick it up but does sigh, an exasperatedly fond sound.
“to you, sans. to your newfound resolution. and holding on to your goal for once in your life.”
Sans drinks, and drinks even more. The guests start to pour in, their voices echoing around him but muffled as if he was underwater. Only Papyrus is clear in the cacophony – a beacon of light he can hold onto in this strange but joyous time. Sans laughs at the jokes coming from Papyrus, his voice bouncing off the walls of the bar. He smiles as he listens to Papyrus recount the things he can’t be sure are real in his inebriated state – childhood memories, plans for the future, a warmth that doesn’t spread to his snow-soaked bones anymore.
So, he drinks again. And again. And again.
As the nights wear on, some things start to slip through to his foggy mind. Plates that remain untouched. Wine bottles that remain unpoured. The soup he made sit alone on the table, growing colder by the second.
And yet, Sans still smiles. At his brother, who hasn’t changed at all. “thanks for staying this time,” he whispers, trying to touch Papyrus’ hand but stopping at the last moment, the distance between them so small yet so inexplicably big at the same time.
“OF COURSE, SANS,” Papyrus says, a faint grin on his severed skull. “I’M NOT GOING ANYWHERE.”
It has been raining snow a lot these past few days in the town. A normal monster would be freezing out in the snow, but, well, he’s hardly a normal monster anymore, is he? Few things phase him at this point, and the cold isn’t one of them.
He knows he isn’t supposed to get close to anyone, but he can’t help it when his friend hasn’t been here with him for months now and the light show in the snowy town is too tantalizing to pass up. So he goes in, wearing a large puffy coat and some hat and scarf to cover his whole face up – a perfect disguise. Now he looks like one of the children playing around near the big tree in the town center. Just a normal, socially awkward child standing near a building, watching his peers mess around from afar. It isn’t exactly fun, but it’s something to do to sate off the gnawing boredom in his chest.
And then, he sees them again.
A skeleton monster just like him – how peculiar. He was interested of course, but something has held him back, something nagging at him at the back of his mind. He can’t name it exactly, but it makes his SOUL pang uncomfortably in his ribs, as if warning him of something. So, he is content with just staying back, idly watching the scene play out.
The strange skeleton monster has been doing this for days – asking people around about their sibling, someone with a name that keeps slipping away from his mind. Again, how odd. Everything about this skeleton monster is odd, from the way they tower over most people yet never intimidate anyone, to the way they enthusiastically play and talk with the town’s children like it’s second nature to them. They’re an opposite of him, and yet-
Ah, whatever. It’s no use thinking about it anyway.
He watches as the skeleton monster again asking the townsfolk about their brother again. And again no one has any clue where the missing person can be. The monster looks dejected, but only for a moment. The resilience… it would be heartwarming to see if he had one.
He subconsciously takes a few steps when the monster finally stops at the giant tree with presents underneath it. He has taken some of the presents for himself, and no one seems to have noticed so far. The skeleton monster looks up at the tree, which has a star on top of it. When he gets just close enough, he can vaguely make out what they’re saying.
“-I WISH THAT THIS GYFTMAS, MY BROTHER WILL RETURN HOME! HE STILL HASN’T PICKED UP HIS SOCKS, NYEH!” the monster grumbles, then in a softer tone continues with a mournful sigh. “… I WISH I HAD SEEN THE SIGNS. HE HASN’T ALWAYS BEEN THE MOST CHEERFUL PERSON, BUT I THOUGHT HE’D TELL ME IF SOMETHING’S WRONG. I DON’T KNOW WHAT HAPPENED… I DON’T KNOW WHY HE LEFT… I FEAR THAT- NO, THAT’S- I WOULD KNOW ABOUT IT, SURELY!”
The phantom watches the whole scene slow around him. There’s something about this monster that feels familiar to him yet fills him with dread. They’re… weak. Vulnerable. Sentimental to a fault. In this world, it’s kill or be killed. Eat or be eaten. There’s no place for kindness when everyone is out to get you.
But, looking at this monster, whose eyelights sparkle under the lights, he feels an urge to avert his eyes, something clawing at his red-hot deadened SOUL. A memory flickers in his jumbled mind: his friend showing him the real stars on the surface, twinkling like their carefree eyes.
Ah, isn’t he forgetting something?
He turns away, boots crunching in the snow as he disappears into the shadows. This is just a distraction – a fun yet trivial thought experiment. But the image of the monster standing under the Gyftmas tree, wishing for something impossible, stays in his mind long after he’s gone.

In the Driver's Seat - CL16
Suggestive
Pairings: Charles Leclerc x Reader
WC: 695
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Y/N had always admired Formula 1, enchanted by the symphony of roaring engines and the precision of the world’s finest drivers. But nothing could have prepared her for Charles Leclerc. The man whose passion burned as brightly off the track as it did on track.
It started innocently enough, a chance meeting in the paddock. Y/N, an aspiring journalist, had scored a rare interview with Ferrari’s golden boy. Charles, charming as ever, had a magnetic presence that made it impossible to focus on anything else. His eyes lingered a little too long when she asked her questions, his lips curving into a smile that seemed meant just for her.
“Do you always ask such dangerous questions?” he teased, leaning back in his chair, the red of his Ferrari shirt clinging to his form.
Y/N felt her cheeks heat. “Only when I want honest answers.”
He leaned closer, his voice dropping to a low murmur. “Then you should know, I’ve never been great at playing it safe.”
----
The interview concluded, but the moment lingered. Y/N replayed their exchange in her mind, convincing herself it was all in her head. Until later that evening, when a message pinged on her phone:
Charles Leclerc: I hope you’re free tonight. Monaco has much more to offer than the paddock. Let me show you.
Her heart raced as she read the message. It felt reckless, accepting an invitation from someone she barely knew. But something about Charles, the confidence in his tone, the way he looked at her as if she was the only person in the room, was impossible to ignore.
She typed back a quick response, her fingers trembling slightly.
Y/N: Alright. Where should I meet you?
----
The night air in Monaco was electric, the city alive with its usual blend of glamour and excitement. Charles picked her up in a sleek black car that looked almost too perfect to touch. As he drove, the gentle hum of the engine filled the silence between them, though the tension was anything but quiet.
“Where are we going?” Y/N asked, glancing at him. He smirked, his eyes flicking to her briefly before returning to the road. “You’ll see. Trust me.” She did, though she couldn’t explain why.
The car stopped at a secluded cliffside overlooking the city. The view was breath-taking. Monaco’s glittering lights reflecting off the sea, the sound of distant waves crashing below. Charles stepped out and opened her door, extending a hand to help her.
“You bring all your interviews here?” she joked, trying to steady her nerves. “Only the ones who leave an impression,” he replied smoothly, his voice carrying the faintest edge of mischief.
They talked for what felt like hours, the conversation flowing effortlessly. Y/N learned that beneath the fame and the pressure, Charles was disarmingly down-to-earth, his passion for racing matched only by his love for his home.
As the night deepened, their laughter gave way to silence. The air between them shifted, charged with an unspoken energy. Charles took a step closer, his gaze intense.
“I wasn’t sure if you’d come tonight,” he admitted, his voice softer now. “And miss out on this view?” she teased, though her voice wavered slightly. “I’m not talking about the view,” he said, his eyes locking onto hers.
Her breath caught as he leaned in, his lips brushing hers in a kiss that was both tentative and consuming. The world seemed to disappear, the distant sounds of the city, the wind rushing past them, everything faded until there was only him.
When they pulled apart, Y/N searched his face, her heart pounding. “Charles… this is crazy.”
“I know,” he whispered, a small smile playing at his lips. “But sometimes, the craziest things are the ones worth taking a chance on.”
The night didn’t end there, nor did their connection. What started as an unexpected encounter quickly grew into something neither of them had anticipated. Charles might have been in the driver’s seat on the track, but with Y/N, he’d found something far more thrilling than any race. A chance to let go and risk it all.
For once, neither of them played it safe.

Manifestation cheatcode:
BE NONCHALANT!!!!!!
When I say be nonchalant I mean say you want it done? And move on with your life, just move on.. its simple! And when ppl say its simple ik you're like "how??? How its simple because I've been working so hard to get what i want my entire life and now you're suddenly telling me it is simple.. how is it simple????" I will tell you how just read the post. (Long post ahead)
As i was saying, decide your desir, affirm for it and move on, what do I mean by moving on? I mean:
1. NOT OVERTHINKING IT
2. NOT STRESSING IT!!!
Because if you're someone who gets whatever tf they want, whenever tf you want.. why do you even think twice about it right?
♡: Examples from My own life lately:
1. As some of you might noticed I disappeared here, because I have midterms and I'm a medical student so I've got to study more yeah? Since i didn't study ever since the term started (I was focusing on manifesting as you see in my latest posts)
But as I started focusing on studying and nothing but studying my manifesting process POURED ON ME!!!!!!! bitch I was complaining about how I don't get money as a college student (we have financial issues) , now as I focused on studying and dropped thinking about manifesting (because my brain is so busy inhaling study sheets) suddenly mom gave me 20$ bucks to buy medical sheets for my studies, then she gave me another 10$ to buy something else if i wanted, later at the same day dad gave me another 20$ JUST BECAUSE (Which never happened) , that was at 24 of December right? Yesterday suddenly a relative of ours got sick, and I have an exam, we had to go pick up my grandma so she visits the relative yeah??? She saw me and decided to give me 20$, and I'M NOT EVEN FOCUSING ON MONEY or manifesting I'm literally busy studying..
Q: So ange what happened there? What does this all mean?
A: I HAD no time to even think against what I want!! That's what fkn happened, before studying I was inhaling affirmations and repeating, now as I've let it go (by inhaling my studies and not having time to think about my manifesting process) it all just worked out, who would know that I will suddenly see my grandma and she'll give me money? I DIDNT SEE HER IN MONTHS!!! that's what they mean when they say everything will move for you to have your desires, for me it was that relative who got sick that caused me to see my grandma (pray for the relative btw thanks<3)
And this here was being nonchalant but I did it by studying, YOU can just say you want this to happen and fkn forget about it, Yk when we complain always about buying this book we DESPERATELY want, or that guitar or that phone or that car or laptop and then when we BOUGHT IT and it's in our room we just- ignore it, literally live as if we never desperately begged for it and that's the fkn key, i never understood what bloggers mean when they say “Embody the person you want to be, dont wish you are, YOU ARE, assume you have it and you will” that's what they fkn mean, weeks ago I was hoping for a 10$ now I've got like 30$ per day!
2. My studies!!!
As a medical student it's fine hard to study medicine, especially when you're lazy like my own dumbass, I only study the days before the exam, for example yesterday I had a midterm for 4 sheets that I studied in 2 days, each sheet have 14 pages that's FILLED with informations, and as a girl who has ADHD and a messy mind it was hard to focus and honestly I'm princess coded I just want shit done without being tired I'm sure you all understand since you're reading this, we want it done in the most simple fast way yeah? Fuck yes we do, so! Whenever I stressed and complained to ANYONE (I'm a complainer) I started reflecting the complaining, if I noticed I was about to complain to my friends or My parents about my studies I just immediately start bragging to them, I be like oh it's so easy to me and I'm even smarter than the professors there and LORD how it's easy to predict their exam questions, and istg as I focused on this technique (if I thought against what I want, I immediately start correcting myself and think as if I'm so smart *I am btw* and it's all so easy to me) that's what fkn happened, yes I got tired and I've got so many back pain while studying but I suddenly started making questions out of the sheet instead of just studying the information as the professor has stated it, for example if he said components of immune system are : innate immune system and acquired immune system, I be like oh that's easy he's gonna ask me : Q: What are the components of immune system?
This made it so much easier to study and the next day in the midterm I saw 6 questions of the ones I fkn made in the sheet!!! It's like I hacked his mind???
3. My last and third example of My life is also about my studies, as I said I'm so princess coded and sensitive af guys, and I hate college as a girl who wants no stress and just success, so the last weeks I skipped college, I was sick and stressed and just had so many issues going on so I didn't go, and that's where they announced my name because I crossed the limit of absence (strict medical bitches) and if you cross this limit they won't let you attend the midterms and therfore you won't pass the final because there is a gap due to the lack of the midterm grades, even if you wanted to pass the final you'd have to get a full mark no matter what so you avoid the damage of not attending the midterm, SINCE my cute ass crossed the limit of absence it means I can't attend the midterm, LOGICALLY it means I failed the midterm already isn't it?
But I just decided that it won't hurt me in anyway, why? Because manifesting isn't about logic, if you tell me you can't fly I'll say I can fly and one day I will!! And guess what? That's what happened
The boss of our major came yesterday (first midterm exame as i said) and called my name, and she gave me a paper saying that I only didn't attend one subject- which is so untrue bitch I skipped them all!!! How tf there's only one subject????? I didn't want to correct her I just signed the paper (signing it is like a promise that I won't do it again) and just like that I survived the whole danger of failing- was it logical?? Did it make sense? NOOOOO but it happened omgmgmfmiquwuwu2!!!!
START BELIEVING THAT IT ISN'T LOGICAL, ITS LIKE SUPERHEROES MOVIES, THEY BELIEVE THEY HAVE THE POWER TO DEFEAT THE VILLAIN AND THIS IS HOW THEY DEFEAT IT, THE VILLAIN HERE IS YOURRRR MINDSET, START DOING WHAT I SAID AND SEE HOW SHIT SHIFTS!!!!
I've got more to say for the examples but I've got to go study (wish me luck btw), I hope I helped I really tried my best to <3!
Ps: another side example is yesterday was hella cold in my country so I wanted a vacation (to study more because as I told yall it was 4 sheets and I stressed myself out so I wanted more time to get my shit together) no one said ANYTHINNNG at all about any vacation, but I just thought "idc they're gonna give us a vacation for the bad weather and that's just it) right next hours the whole country started talking about the vacation due to bad weather, all the fkn cities, but for some reason my stupid town decided that there will be no vacation for us because our town's weather is better than the other towns yk? I'm still mad about it because I was soooo close to manifest it, I guess it was because I kept stressing saying "oh god I want a vacation *crying and complaining*
I don't consider it as a success story because I had no vacation I had to go solve that stupid midterm -_- but bitch I got above 10+ towns to have vacations due to BAD WEATHER, THE WEATHER WAS FINE UNTIL I DECIDED ITS BAD. WTFFFFFF, exactly, no logic, logic doesn't fkn exist I'm about to cry oh my godness!!
Another side success story is that i suddenly started thinking void is so easy (it fkn is) out of nowhere, since i was inhaling attempting to tap into it i sat so many alarms to go try to induce it, now whenever i see the alarms i be like- its so easy why tf im complicating it- just bcs i stopped focusing on it!
cheers to all of us dreamers, I'm sure whoever is reading my post is someone who was one a wattpad person who loves Y/N stories, a Harry potter fan, marvel fan, my hero academy fan, fantasy fan, miraculous ladybug fan, in general ppl who just dont want to be here surrounded with logic boring stuff (in my case a girl who wrote fanfiction novels about one directio) , because I know you and I are here because we are dreamers!! we knew there MUST be a magical key to get out of this logical bullshitful and stupid cruel world, you already have the key you FOUND IT YOU CUTE IDIOT!!! you just need to know how to flick it and get that golden door opened (your pretty subconscious mind), me and you? We are gonna do it, just easy on yourself!!! Xoxo

Design for wasp and waspinator
After all this time, finally someone back home came looking for the missing autobots, but unfortunately he wasn't looking to help, wasp is looking to settle the score with bumblebee and would do anything to get his way, even becoming a horrible transmetal mutant
Wasp HATES bumblebee, a trottlebot reject he used to hang around cliffjumper and bee back in the day where he had the most experience between the three of them. but his overconfident, opportunistic personality caused bee to pay extra attention to him as he reminded him of his brother hot rod, and wasp hated every second of it.
bumblebee's constant attempts to further their friendship really got to his nerves, seeing the whole exercise as an atempt to control him, and keep him away from his true potential as an autobot scout, he left their little friend group literally one day before optimus choose them to go on the mission to earth
Wasp came crawling back, begging to be let back into the team but he made it more than clear he wanted nothing to do with them the previous day so bumblebee in an act of pettiness, already filled his spot with hot rod and left, leaving wasp to think on his life, while bee and the others would be kocked offline thought to be dead for years, when wasp learned of the disappearance of the mission that in his eyes belonged to him. Rather than be sad about the loss of his old friends, or be relieved he wasn't one name in the list of missing persons among them, wasp grew obsessed with "what if"
What would have happened if he was aboard the ship, could he have made a difference when they got attacked? He convinces himself he would've, and becomes obsessed with tracking down the lost autobot ship, determined to prove he's better than the others, losing sleep and eventually tracking them down but as he wasn't a good pilot, his ship crashed, leaving him stranded on the planet alongside the other autobots
But when he arrived at their new base, he saw a new trottlebot, glyph. Wasp always knew hot rod wasn't really a replacement, he was too different but glyph was born from the same mold as him, was green like him and even had a nasally voice like him,
from his twisted perspective it was clear as day that he never really mattered to anybody, he was expendable, and bumblebee was a liar who clouded his judgement by looking so weak as to make him think he was actually important to somebody, only to be thrown out the moment he wanted more,
Sensing his instability the six clan approached him with a deal, the power to take his revenge in exchange for servitude, and wasp, bitter at the world accepted it, and was transformed by the transmetal driver into the unstable transmetal mutant waspinator

Another prompt for birthday week if you dont mind: Inko tries to get back on Izuku’s good side after abandoning him at her brother Shouta’s place because Izuku is a famous hero. Izuku’s partner cuts her off
Hitoshi just wanted to go to sleep.
It was hardly a new feeling for him. There was little he loved more than sinking onto the nearest semi-flat surface to catch whatever sleep he could after finishing his patrols, made even better when he could coax Izuku to lay with him, so he could soak in their warmth and bury his face in their curls to just breathe them in. But here, standing halfway in one of the second floor windows and making eye contact with familiar green eyes in a very unfamiliar face standing in front of his front door, there was little he wanted more than to be decidedly unconscious.
Instead he sighed as he eased back out the window, making sure to slide it closed before he dropped down to meet their unwelcome guest. The last thing he wanted was the sound to carry and wake Izuku. They needed all the rest they could get before their own patrol started... or someone called in a Code Red that couldn't be solved by anyone else.
Hitoshi shoved his hands in the deep pockets of his jumpsuit, and dipped his head into the coils of his capture scarf, cursing himself for slinging off his persona chords and hanging them from his belt when he caught sight of their home.
"What?"
The woman blinked, seemingly taken aback by the rude demand. Hitoshi couldn't imagine what else she expected showing up on a stranger's doorstep before dawn.
"I want to see my s-- my child."
"Tough. Now leave."
"Excuse--!"
Hitoshi wanted to slam his head into the door, but that would, unfortunately, wake Izuku who would come running to find them on the doorstep. He settled for a bone deep sigh instead. "Look, there's no way in hell I'm letting you see anyone that you might think is in this house, and, no, I will not be passing a message either. It is as a courtesy you do not deserve and out of a deep desire not to do any more work tonight that I am not going to arrest you for trespassing right here. Leave before I decide that having you gone is worth more to me than my dislike of paperwork."
"You can't keep my from my child!"
A flash of anger had Hitoshi barking out a cruel laugh. "Your child? Where?"
"Izuku is--"
"An Aizawa. Or, technically, Shinsou-Aizawa now. You made it damn clear that they weren't your child when you abandoned them, just like they made it clear that they wanted nothing to do with you should you come crawling back now that you think they're suddenly valuable to you. Now I have had a very long night and don't have the patience to hold your hand through what child abandonment means. Get off of my property before I remove you from it. I guarantee I will enjoy the second option far more than you will."
Inko Midoriya huffed as she seemingly decided that whatever her plan was would work better when not in jail for trespassing and stomped her way back down the path. Hitoshi watched until she disappeared around the corner. Waited even longer until his phone buzzed in his pocket.
(How Nezu knew what was going on, Hitoshi didn't want to know. He liked being able to sleep whenever he could manage it, and the politest Not Shovel Talk of his life at sixteen had done enough damage to that already. All he needed to know was Nezu was just as protective over his former personal student as he was.)
Izuku stirred when Hitoshi finally slipped into bed, all sleep-warm skin and pillow lines through their smile as they seemingly tried to climb into him they pressed so close. "What took you so long?" They mumbled into his bare shoulder.
"Nothing important," He promised, pressing a kiss to their curls. "Just an annoyance."
They hummed and moments later their soft snores filled the room once more. Hitoshi smiled before following them into sleep.

Bounded by Hope
Lucius Verus Aurelius x Reader
Summary: You catch Lucius's eye as he fights in the Colosseum, his strength and resolve captivating you. Later that night, you sneak into the arena, where he confesses.
The roar of the Colosseum still echoed in your ears as you lingered near the edges of the great arena that evening.
You swore you could still hear the people cheer.
Lucius had fought with unmatched skill earlier that day, you watched him closely, but it was the moment his eyes briefly met yours that sent your heart racing.
You weren’t supposed to be there, but you had to be there just to see him.
The poet Gladiator.
That was something you wanted to see.
Now, with the moon high in the sky and the city around you settling into sleep, you found yourself sneaking through the shadows, your heart pounding with both fear and anticipation.
The Colosseum was large, its arches surrounded by darkness.
It wasn’t hard to find the gate leading to the fighters’ quarters; your feet seemed to move as if they knew the path.
“Who goes there?” a voice called softly from within.
You froze, gripping the cold metal bars.
Lucius’s figure emerged from the shadows, his tunic loose and his hair messy.
He had been resting, but his eyes were sharp as they fell upon you.
“It’s... just me,” you whispered, your voice soft and gentle.
“My Lady, you shouldn’t be here,” he murmured, stepping closer to you as his expression softened.
“And yet, here I am,” you replied, your fingers tightened around the bars. “I wished to see you.”
He moved closer to you, his eyes studied yours, his hands brushing against the bars opposite yours.
“Why? Surely you know this is dangerous.”
“I saw you today, fighting in the arena. You were incredible. But it wasn’t just your skill, no, it was your heart that captured me. I’ve never seen anyone like you.” you admitted.
He chuckled though there was a hint of bitterness in it.
“A gladiator doesn’t usually receive such praise from someone like you, My Lady.”
“Don’t call me that,” you said quickly. “Not tonight. I’m just a woman standing before you, nothing more.”
“And I am just a man who fights because he must,” he said quietly. “But today... when I saw you, I felt something I hadn’t in a long time. Hope.” He said and leaned closer, the bars the only thing separating you.
“Hope for what?” you felt your heart pounding in your chest.
“For freedom. For a life beyond these walls,” he said, his voice growing stronger. “For a chance to hold onto what I’ve seen in you.”
“Do you truly believe you can win your freedom?”
“I have to,” he said firmly. “Not just for myself, but for you.”
“For me?” you repeated, your voice barely above a whisper.
“If I win, I will leave this place, and I will find you. I will make you mine, if you’ll have me.” He said, his hands gripping the bars tightly now.
Tears welled in your eyes, you didn't even know each other. Yet a simple look was enough for you both.
“You don’t have to fight for me, Hanno,” you said softly. “I would wait for you, no matter how long.”
“Please, call me Lucius. I must fight,” he insisted. “I must earn the right to stand beside you. I must become a man you are worthy of.”
The intensity in his voice left you speechless.
You reached through the bars, your fingers brushing against his cheek.
He closed his eyes at your touch, leaning into it as though it were the first kind thing he’d felt in years.
“Then fight,” you whispered. “But promise me you’ll be careful. Promise me you’ll come back. Promise you will make me yours”
He opened his eyes, locking them with yours once more.
“I swear it,” he said. “For you, I will do anything.”
In that moment, the world around you disappeared. All that existed was him, and the bond growing between you.
Both of you leaned in and you pressed your lips to his through the cold metal bars, the kiss was brief but filled with everything you couldn’t say.
When you pulled away, his gaze burned into yours.
“I will see you again,” he promised.
“And I will wait for you Lucius,” you replied. "I must go now." you said as he nodded and you left just as you came.
As you walked back into the night, his words replayed in your mind.
His vow will stay with you until the moment you see him again.

Home alone on Satoru's birthday.
I know I'm coming back after what, one? Two years? I don't know anymore. But I just had a fic idea and fuck, need someone to write it asap.
(English isn't my first language, and didn't proofread, pls be lenient)
It's a 𝙎𝙖𝙩𝙤𝙧𝙪 𝙂𝙤𝙟𝙤 𝙭 𝙛𝙚𝙢!𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙙𝙚𝙧, and I'm sorry but Suguru is mean in it (don't blame me okay it just happened in my head😭).
Okay so basically, you're in a distance relationship with Satoru, or like he's away for missions (or business trip if NoCurses!au).
He's been away for so long, it's been weeks, you text, call, sure, but it's not enough, you miss each other so fucking bad. He sends you texts of the lines of: "I put your perfume on my pillow but nothing compares to you :( Need your arms around me sweetheart" "Miss you🩵" "Love you so much", and you needed him as bad.
Plus his birthday was approaching so fast, and you came up with a fucking great idea (not to be presumptuous, but you're pretty proud of yourself).
The idea: buy a plane ticket and surprise him.
Simple right?
You thought...
Days goes by and you plan everything: buy the plane ticket✅ book a room in the hotel he's staying (even though it's just to gain access to the hotel corridors and knock on Satoru's door)✅ making his favorite pastries✅ hell you even planned to wear those clothes he loves you to wear✅ everything was going to your plan.
You knew he specifically asked (ordered) to have the day off on his birthday, so the field was clear for you.
You both had planned a facetime that day (even though he would've liked to stay on call all day, you convinced him to move the call to late afternoon. Your excuse was lame, but he thankfully believed it.). But what he didn't know, is that when you'll call him, you'll be in front of his hotel room at that time. You giggle already imagining his reaction.
A few days before, just to be sure, you texted Suguru asking him to subtly encourage Satoru not to leave his hotel room at the time you'll be there. He agreed.
The day comes and you're so excited.
You're ready to go, check everything.
But shock is written all over your face as you inspect your wallet:
𝙒𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚 𝙙𝙞𝙙 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙥𝙡𝙖𝙣𝙚 𝙩𝙞𝙘𝙠𝙚𝙩 𝙜𝙤??
You are surprised at first, thinking that you must have put it somewhere else. But the more time you spend running around the house, the more horror replaces the initial shock on your face.
You really try to remember, but no, you really put it in your wallet! So how did it disappear!??
Time passes and the house is in distraught, you turned everything upside down, but still nothing.
Last resort: buy another ticket.
You run and scroll through the airline's website on your computer and: the flight is sold out...
𝙎𝙊𝙇𝘿.𝙊𝙐𝙏.
You start crying, why do these kinds of things only happens to you?
In the end, you decide to go to the airport anyway, because who knows? Maybe there will be a last minute cancellation and you'll have a free seat? spoiler alert: no.
You're crying, trying to hide your sobs from people.
For fuck sakes this isn't home alone! So why did this happens to you? All you wanted was making your boyfriend happy on his birthday, was that too much to ask for?
You spend the rest of the day sobbing in your bed. You may be overdoing it a bit, thinking that it wouldn't be a big deal for others, but you can't help but feel bad. Seeing something you've been preparing for so long slip through your fingers so easily, and that because of a poor plane ticket: it frustrates you to the highest degree. You miss Satoru so much.
You have no other choices than accept your fate. You already wished him an happy birthday at midnight, and all that's left is to wait for the facetime you had planned for late afternoon. You're already practicing fake smiles and hiding your swollen eyes.
Imagining yourself with him almost makes you shed a tear. Facetime is good, but nothing compares to being in each other's embrace.
You're suddenly brought out of your reverie by a message notification. Message from Satoru to be precise, you know it cause you have a specific ringtone for him.
You open his text, and begin to start rubbing your eyes, not believing what you're reading.

You can imagine anything from there.
But I can think of the reader so shocked that she doesn't answer Satoru's call, or the following ones. She ends up picking up, but is very evasive in her answers. Ofc he asks her what's wrong, and so she explains to him.
Everything.
How she planned everything down to the last millimeter, how Suguru was in confidence, but he decided to stab her in the back by stealing her surprise. (Because yes, maybe the missing ticket is a coincidence, but the idea of surprising Satoru, that, Suguru stole it from her).
Now imagine Satoru not believing you? Telling you his best friend wouldn't do that. "Why are are you lying?".
You'll sob, maybe even Shoko will hear the news and call you. You'll ask her "What? You don't believe me either?" but she believes you.
I don't know why Sugu would do that tho. Maybe he felt like the new girlfriend was stealing his best friend?
Just dreamed abt this fic, hope you like the idea.
