I've talked about romantic/sexual yandere Miguel being goaded on by an alternate of himself or another you, but, I'm also thinking about platonic yandere parental/guardian Miguel getting a little 'push' to realize he wants you to play a more central role in his life, either from being in competition with an alternate of his or outright being told by his alternate that it's what he should do

You're just in the Spider Society minding your own business and you see Miguel talking to, Another Miguel, but this one has glasses or a beauty mark or some distinguishing feature. The two of them are discussing anomalies and "the fate of the multiverse" and other such serious topics when you stroll by, giving a wave and such as hello when the second Miguel actually pauses their conversation to greet you, actually being, well, much like YOUR Miguel with his occasional sarcastic snark but, friendlier, introducing himself to you, shaking your hand, asking you questions like how old you are, how long have you been a Spider, etc, amd you're ready to start cracking jokes about how, maybe you'll start spending time with this new Miguel instead since 'yours' is suddenly so grumpy, when. Oh dear, the awkward thing happens. Here comes the other you, bounding right up to the other Miguel, "Papá, there you are 🥰 this place is like a maze and I got lost looking for you, dont leave me behind again 🥺"

Both you and Miguel are watching your alternates interact, actually silently internally in some weird sort of agreement with "this is kind of weird but also oddly wholesome... what the fuck, why do I want what they have..." but it's just. It's also just a little weird. You're literally watching another you cuddle up to another version of your boss, calling the man their dad, acting like they're legitimately his child, with the other man actually being genuinely caring and considerate back. Eventually in private Dad!Miguel asks Miguel about his relationship with you and is basically met with "what relationship. That's just my coworker" as Dad!Miguel rolls his eyes at his emotionally constipated alternate who's apparently going to need a little encouragement

Part of me is like, what if some bullshit happens like, Dad!Miguel is all "oh yeah well if you have such a handle on things and think they can take care of themself without any support or guidance, what are they doing right now" and Miguel is all huffy and all FINE LETS SEE, IM SURE THEYRE FINE and goes to, use his monitors or whatever to spy on you and, you're having like a mental episode, a real crying session, some real boo hoo sobbing and maybe even cutting yourself as Miguel is "coincidentally" having an epiphany that, hey, maybe you DO need an extra mentor figure in your life... maybe he can... ask you about your day and stuff? Dad!Miguel over here ready to rip his hair out as he realizes your Miguel went through all the second universe stuff and is now an emotionally bottled mess and, in a way needs you as much as you need him

Whether to encourage his alternate or help you since you resemble 'his child', despite all awkward differences, Dad!Miguel sees that you're lonely and struggling and, kinda partially adopts you, becoming something of a mentor, checking in on you, scolding you to est something when his advanced hearing picks up on your stomach growling, making small talk, little things like that, but routinely, becoming a bit of a fixture in your life

Months down the line your Miguel is minding his own business having a pretty ok day and he rounds the corner and. It's Dad! Miguel, convincing you to let him comb your hair because you ran out of the house without doing anything with it first and you've been kind of stressed and tired. Miguel just starting to kind of feel what can only be identified as envy and jealousy as he watches Dad!Miguel spending time with you, "so, are you graduated by now? My child (the other you) is still in university right now" "oh no, I'm not really doing college" "what, but you're so smart! I think you can do anything you put your mind to--"

Miguel turns his back and next time he turns around, Dad!Miguel is getting you gifts for your birthday and it turns out he regularly visits you. The original man's strolling through the lobby and suddenly he sees you with his alternate that he's really starting to hate and, are you speaking Spanish? Since when did you learn Spanish? Did he TEACH you? Have you been spending so much time together that the other him even had that opportunity?

He's just standing there watching Dad!Miguel like, braid your hair or help clean your glasses or do something that's like, platonic but personal, caring, affectionate, and suddenly your Miguel is having the realization, "did this bitch just steal you right under my nose. Did he just baby code MY baby 😤"

Miguel overhears you happily call his alternate Tío and, that's it, he gets so mad he confronts the other him about it in private basically then and there, the other man basically just like "well clearly YOU weren't giving them the support they needed--" and proceeding to give advice on how to get close to you, things you're stressed about and struggling with, things you were too shy and scared to open up about to the original Miguel or anyone who isn't a trusted friend

An alternate version of the YouTwo disaster where YouTwo wants to steal your life because you "stole their dad" when Dad!Miguel spends time with you and they assume they're being replaced out of jealousy, or maybe he even outright wants you for himself, or maybe Dad!Miguel outright meets his unfortunate end in an unrelated villain thing and YouTwo comes to steal YOUR "dad". YouTwo who's more unhinged than ever because their Miguel kind of "broke them in" to be their loving little child and doesn't handle either being replaced or losing the only loved one and source of support they cared about

Of course this is to say, it would DEFINITELY be "unfortunate" if you and Dad!Miguel got so, so close and, then suddenly the man dies and is violently ripped from your life just when you're starting to heal and be happy again and, suddenly you're so heartbroken and vulnerable and, THIS is the moment when your Miguel finally steps up to the plate to truly take care of you amd fully assimilate into your life. You're breaking down sobbing, literally the kind of crying where you can't even stand, you just collapse, and, here he is to pick you up and hold you, embrace you, shoosh you gently and rub your back and let you cry while he helps you feel safe again. He's sorry he's late, but he's here now, so let Papá give you nice big hugs while you cry and then take you back home, ok? His home. Technically YOUR home now, that the two of you share. You'll get served all your favorite foods and made sure you're looked after and, when its time for bed and you get those violent nightmares and images of how your beloved Tío was killed right in front of you and can't manage to sleep, your Papá is there to help hold you and comfort you until you're finally softly snoring in his arms. he looks at you, how heartbroken and, in his eyes, helpless you are, and vows that if anyone ever tries to hurt, or wrong you, or some punk who doesn't deserve you tries to taint your purity, that he'll rip them apart like a wild animal

Anyway, I don’t know if you’ve seen the ask yet about certain characters ages and {Reader} calling them old and stuff, but if you do that request I would like to add smth and reacting to their ages, I would recommend reading that one first then this one

Basically when the readers like “You’re still gon’ be here even when I die” and then they just smile and joke about it- just go check out the request I sent lol-

But what if {Reader} figured out some of the characters were ‘puppets’ and they were like “Why are you being a coward? Just show your true self!”

Or for like EI they would be like “Why doesn’t the kimono cover the some of your chest?” Or for Xiao they would be like “Do you even have a shirt on or is it see through-“ and for Zhongli it would be “How can you even fight in a suit? It looks so tight and uncomfortable, and what’s the point of the bottom part of your suit being shredded? (The part where his suit splits into parts at the end) and basically every other character who fights yet their outfits are completely unpractical

And {Reader} wears like very baggy clothing and Japanese sandals

And also how they fight is instead of using powers- they just hella skilled with like martial arts, like they’ll just swipe some characters off their feet, and like elbow some in the stomach😭 and like instead of teleporting they’re just so fast and they jump off trees like a crazy lil shit-

And this is also really random, but imagine the characters are playing hide-n-seek with {Reader} and no one could find them until EI looks up and SOMEHOW {READER} MANAGED TO CLING TO THE CEILING (IN LIKE A SPIDERMAN POSITION TOO-) AND THEYRE JUST LIKE- “You guys suck at Hide-n-seek”

You become a fashion critic to them. I love the character designs but jesus christ , some of them are so impractical. They're all very proud of your skills. And while some think someone your age shouldn't need to learn this. They accept it and deal with it in their own way. Some are absolutely terrified of you. Some just think you need training and others genuinely question how you got this strong.

Ei would try and dismiss your concerns over her "true self". As time goes on if she ever decides to leave the plane of Euthymia one of the first things she'll do is look for you. Wanderer will scoff and tell you this is his true self. Then you would probably throw a few jokes. His way and your petty fighting will start all over again.

Zhongli and Tighnari are impressed by the fact that you managed to left them while no one could lift you. When lifting Wanderer... You essentially become his personal carry person until someone scolds him and takes him away from you.

In hide-and-seek no matter who you're playing with. Everyone gets really nervous when they can't find you. They check in all the typical spots. And then they find you up a tree or something. Some of the characters freak out because my precious baby is in a tree and others. Just questioned how you got up there in the first.

But the time has come

So, generally I am trying not to yap too much about them because I still want to use major story moments for some project or my potential comic, but I love telling people about them. And I love making additional AU’s (because they do not contain any main story spoilers)

So here is a short description of my main oc group so that you can recognize them (I have other worlds, but these occupy my mind the most)

This is Leonardo (Leo). He hates his full name

He is an introvert and a local flying showoff. Has terrible eyesight, glasses do not really fix his vision completely, but he uses lenses and devices to look close and far. His eyes are also sensitive to bright light. He is a half-idiot and a half-genius.

Despite the fluffy appearance, he is naturally drawn to the theme of death, undead, spirits, and everything related to that. He is a little too confident in his abilities and also stubborn, he’s an easy target of ”I bet you can’t do /x/” questions, because he will want to demonstrate that he actually can do /x/ better. Believes in practice over theory. He is terrified of huge bodies of water and drowning. He loves wearing dark clothes (not emo). He has a journal, or a few of them actually, where he notes his insane theories, ghost observations, to do’s etc..

He used to run away from home to practice flying and get lots of bruises when he was like almost a teen, and during teenage years, he is quiet proud of the skill he got because of his dangerous childhood adventures.

He also met Nicole and Michelle during the main plot events. And Emil is his childhood friend with who they studied together at the same school, and so they’ve known each other for years, and theyr dumb and supportive of each other but they have their mutual misunderstandings as well (future boyfriends)

This is Emil :)

He is an artist with a chronic dust disease (all human bodies contain it in their system, and most of it goes into wing creation, but it can also be used with your palms for example). He becomes tired much faster than other people, his body is weaker, and he gets purplish spots as a result of exhaustion (his wings are more fragile and regenerate longer).

He has a ”good imagination”, or at least he calls it that, because his years of practice let him create dust butterflies that hang around nearby. Usually dust objects, shapes, constructions, especially if they are moving, are considered a rarity and an impressive trick. (Wings are directly attached to the big surface of the back and they are not detached from the body, everyone normally can create those, like second nature)

He likes his wings a l o t, but doesn’t really like his body. He is very skinny and tall, and even though generally he’s comfortable with drawing nude bodies, he hates showing a lot of his own skin to people; he adds layers of clothes to appear bigger

He is very sensitive and emotional, talks a lot, doesn’t like arguments. He is really gentle, he will probably cry because he is really expressive on all spectrums of emotions. Jokes a lot and sometimes not when appropriate. He’s partly drowning in philosophical questions and in finding some deeper sense of self (deep). And ofc he’s a theatre kid. Art nerd. He likes purple. He also befriended Michelle and Nicole, even though Nicole hated him because of his behaviour for some reason at first. However both of them have similar tastes in music and art, so.

He has red admiral wings

Leo used to be a frequent guest at Emil’s house when they were younger.

This is Nicole.

She is an anxious girl with facial burn scars. She’s loud, honest, and can be mean, but she also hates a lot of things about herself. She is good at noticing details and subtlety. She doesn’t trust people easily, if at all, but she is also afraid of loneliness. In the plot they do some plot stuff together with Michelle (theyr roommates ohmygod they were roommates). She befriended Leo and Emil later, even though Emil annoyed her immensely being a stranger she just met. She likes yellow :)

She absolutely loooves animals big and small, and she will always care for a traumatized creature in trouble even if it’s seen as nature’s mistake or ugliest thing ever.

She has the wings of a military macaw

Can’t tell much more about her because I feel like those are spoilers AND she is getting a big character remake in the plot department

This is Michelle!,

She’s calm and emotionless at first glance, has a face that looks like her mind is always thinking or anywhere but here. She has low self-worth and not great relationships with her mother. She is interested in magical potions, alchemical stuff, and questionable inventions. She’s always more interested in how something works and how to get intriguing results, rather than legality or obeying rules.

Obviously she feels emotions and lots of them, but she doesn’t let herself open up.

She also has only one big albatross wing. The build of her back makes one of her shoulders lower than the other (right shoulder lower)

This is Ivor! (Old reference) (I got tired and didn’t draw him a new one)

He’s THE gossiper, who loves scandals and dramas. He plays a bandura (a ukrainian string instrument) and with it composes rumors or stories obviously inspired by something that has happened in real life. He says that the more people he knows the more interesting songs he can create. Loves being the narrator and shining in the crowd. He can actually sing well. He is also deaf in one ear

He has the wings of a european goldfinch

He is more of a secondary character though

This is Séaghdha!! (From my extensive research, it is close to "Shay" pronounciation, even though that one is an independent name by itself)

ACTUALLY I AM RECOLORING HIM TO HAVE NATURAL BROWN HAIR but at one point his hair can be green :)) Green haired Séaghdha is an old concept, but canons change and I didn’t want to completely remove the green hair lol

He vibes as a technical guy, but he’s actually really artsy, and crafts decor, and stained glass thingies.

He’s a local mystery-man who was born with a completely unthreatening height and small build (he is very short), he carries a parasol and he is limping (it’s made with lace and was gifted to him). He is generally calm, tired, masks a lot of stuff with sarcasm type of guy. He’s actually farsighted. He can also walk and even run without his parasol, but he has it on him 99.9% of the time. He has silvery hairs because of the magical trauma that scarred half of his body.

He is ultra responsible and he wants to do good things, for the sake of justice, (or at least he wanted) and he regrets it

He knows Emil’s father, and Séaghdha is also close with Thia (technically in Ukrainian her name is Tsia, but in English it shortens from Forsythia; I haven’t decided on minor changes like that). Séaghdha actually kind of fell in love with Thia from the first sight, and they bonded because of music and musical instruments. Both of them are plot partners and they suffer together and they luv each other. They had an argument and they weren’t communicating for some time but they can’t live without each other

He has wings of a sharp-shinned hawk

(Left reference is the newest one) I didn’t finish her grey ref, but I am likely redrawing all of them again on a new canvas, so old refs won’t matter!

She does not have a final final design, but I am imagining her in all kinds of flowery dresses!

I also do not have a final version of her character yet and more will be added. She’s literally the only good thing in the world. She’s a kind aunty and a talented singer with a low voice. She has lots of patience, she adapts easily to changes and has a calming effect on people. Likes to have a chit chat with Ivor.

She is a pretty famous singer (both she and Ivor are local legends, but in different ways). I would say that Ivor tries to build a character for the public more, than Thia, but Thia just has it much more subtly. Ivor knows people recognize him for his performance, Thia doesn’t really have an over the top flamboyancy, so in comparison she looks like a normal person. It doesn’t feel like she even gets into the role of a performer and feels authentic. ANYWAY, JUST THOUGHTS.

I also want her to be into some cloth handmade stuff, or lace, or a different little hobby. I think to balance out the signing she would love making something with her hands

first of all i am /Not/ proship. i am not anti-anti or whatever either. what drives me to ship them is the fact theyre friends who like to be in each other's company. i like their sweet moments together. they bond over scamming an innocent population and bullying children. they're partners in crime. theyre besties who talk shit about others as a hobby.

there are episodes where they bicker a lot but end up getting along, episodes where they're the best of friends and episodes focused on their resentment against one another. the show kind of yoyos with their relationship. it's not really anything to take seriously. if you get offended from their interactions you'd get a heart attack from watching looney tunes. the back and forth of their dynamic is part of the fun!

I *highly* recommend watching the original version of the show as the dub often replaces sweet lines they share with jokes that don't really hit the mark. it's a shame. (however i will give the dub some credit on occasion)

Actually, i have a [post] that compiles a lot of sweet screenshots of them together. it doesnt include the times where they hold on to each other in the cannons or in the whispy woods episode or when esxargoon said "isnt this strange? can't you feel we're striving apart?" and dedede says "what! that's ridiculous!" in a lighthearted voice. or when escargoon makes a joke about a late night drive being romantic and dedede just? laughs in agreement? there's a scene where they call each other stupid in the most friendly way ever. i actually have a handy twitter of fun scenes where escargoon gets away with some things (doesn't include when escargoon yells at him in the fireworks episode or orders him in episode 69), like saying *he's* actually the one in power because dedede isn't competent enough to reign. or dedede understanding escargoon's concerns of him becoming dumber than he is already.

they're just villains who are attached to each other and are a team no matter what.

escargoon protects dedede a lot, and he cares about him more than what his job entails, but people tend to forget he's got a special place in dedede's heart too.

dedede keeps an album of pictures they took together. he never threatens to fire him and, as far as i know, never even cuts his salary and is the only one in the castle to even have a bonus. he shares the food he keeps from the waddle dees with him in episode 93. he clarifies he doesnt want knuckle joe's monsters to attack either of them. he's fine spending large amounts of money on him. twice? he never calls him ugly somehow. he even thanks him for having put up with him for so long and serving him well when the world is about to end. and then he clings unto him because he's scared of dying alone. his way of showing affection is not the "im crying because i think you're in danger" type of way that escargoon shows a lot but it's there.

Of course i don't think they're perfect gay rep. that's literally so stupid. you think im gonna look at two dumbasses who are bitter towards one another from what, a parodic, satirical children's anime from the early 2000s, and go "hmm yes this is what every queer couple should aspire to be this is peak lgbt rep"

If we're gonna talk about them how about we talk about some issues this show has that no one ever addresses. the colorism of the uv episode that is not put into question, not even by tiff, the moral compass. the rising sun imagery that is very much intentional as dedede is a caricature. the fatphobia? the fact kirby calls kawasaki and nagoya homos??? straight up???

people often blame episode 88, and yeah, it's not my favorite episode either. everyone's weird in that episode, not just dedede! yabui is far from empathetic, even the ebrums are disrespectful, and escargoon taunts dedede into chasing him for laughs and teases him about his old age. even at the end he teases him. i think it's one of those episodes that you just have to blame on the writers kinda like 89 (for example this one has got the right message but the execution is painful to watch. poor tiff.)

now, if 88 had changed their relationship it'd be a different matter. there are some sweet moments they share outside of their general "partners in crime" dynamic past episode 88 in my post actually! my favorite is the one where dedede has his arm around escargoon who's curled up like a cat while they're sleeping and the waddle dees are tucking them in from episode 91. it makes me so happy.

i could probably talk so, so much more about them. they're a huge comfort to me. however i don't trust just anyone with them. i am very much aware some people like them for the wrong reasons. but if you have a brain you can see where i'm coming from.

the show makes fun of them because they're evil, self-centered cowards. not because they're "gay" or anything like that. i saw someone call them queerbait one time and i had to log off for a minute.

anyway, to answer your question, people who do not recognize their genuine attachment to one another are bound to have a twisted view of them. i don't like dedegoon because they're "toxic" or awful to each other. but because they're each other's best friends. that's all. it's fine if you don't ship them, too. i just hope i can prove to people that they do matter to each other and that they're friends :)

Hiii! I'm Andras Anon, back again! This time for a short time, because I was thinking about Rhysand and Tamlin past, about the death (murder) of their families and... I couldn't remember well the details and since I don't really want to pick up the books to search when they talk about it (I'm not ready to suffer again lol), I was wondering if you remember why didn't Rhysand kill Tamlin? The one who was "responsable" for the death of his mother and sister? Unless there's more to it, bc, If I remember correctly even him doesn't fault Tamlin 100%, it's Feyre who really jumps the gun there lol (and I kind of remember that when Tamlin talked about it he had a different take on the events, another retcon?)

What I remember is -> Rhysand & Tamlin became friends (THE DAGGERS AAA) -> Tamlin tells (?) his father and brothers about the location of Rhys's mothers & sister, they kill them -> Rhysand & Father kill Tamlin's family -> Tamlin becomes HL & kills BatKing, Rhysand becomes HL -> ??? I don't remember anything after this, like blank state ahaha

But, why didn't Rhysand (since he hates Tamlin so much) kill him? Why didn't they kill him before? Because Rhysand knew it wasn't his fault (but still hate/can't forgive him?) / Because he couldn't (if I see another person saying "He is the strongest HL" where? give me proof since he really can't do anything on his own) / other reason that I don't remember?

In my heart I know that SJM is planning for the Friends to Lovers to Enemy to Lovers again, so she really can't kill him, ahahaha

Okay so you’re pretty spot on with the series of events. It was Tamlin and Rhysand were bffs - Tamlin supposedly reveals the location of Rhysand’s mother and sister to his brothers and father- They go and kill them and send their heads down the river for Rhysand and his father to find- Rhysand and his father immediately go and kill Tamlin’s father, mother and brothers- Tamlin kills Rhysands father- Suddenly they’re both High lords.

My biggest issue with this series of events is when you look at the spot where Tamlin went and revealed the location of Rhysand’s mother and sister, Rhysand isnt actually there to witness what happened. Then later they find his mother and soster dead because they found the bodies. No one was around to tell them who killed them. I imagine theyre must have been some kind of tell tale sign, like a branded signal, in the same way Thysand branded the faeries head he left in Spring under Amarantha’s reign. Or maybe even a letter stating who did it. In any case Rhysand has no clear way of knowing that it was Tamlin who revealed the location. The only thing he has to go off of is assumption.

Saying Rhysand assumed Tamlin revealed the location is not a long shot given that Rhysand himself and Feyre tend to very very quickly jump to conclusions. And it ties in really nicely if this is the case because it stands to say that Rhysand didnt kill Tamlin because he felt guilty for doing so, as he has no real way of knowing if he was truly involved in the effort or not. Plus Rhysand had said that he “was tired of all the death” so it’s easy to say he couldn't bring himself to kill Tamlin because of guilt.

What also I believe supports my theory is Tamlin’s overall personality and his actions throughout the series. Tamlin slowly became more and more unhinged (I believe due to poor writing on SJM’s part) but one thing is consistent and that he is not a malicious man or a liar. If one thing has to show for Tamlin’s good nature it’s that he always has good intentions.

Plus we know that Tamlin loathed his brothers and father with all of his heart and wanted to be better than them, so it’s unlikely he would hand over any information willingly to them.

All this to say I believe Rhysand just assumed Tamlin told them, but felt that was too rocky a theory at the time he could have killed Tamlin. And throughout his life this ‘truth’ has become even more solidified in his mind which is why he says it with such certainty to Feyre.

Anyway, this is just my two cents, but thank you for the question, I very much enjoy talking about this topic!!!

hello! i just wanted to say following you for memes and silly goofy haha stuff ive come to realize how insanely talented you are at game design and rpgmaker and just wanted to let you know youve been a huge inspiration to me!! Speaking of rpgmaker, would you perhaps have any words of advice to people wanting to make games in that engine for the first time? ty!!

I keep forgetting to answer this but this is so sweet ;_; thank you so much for the kind words!!! It always makes me really happy when someone follows me for either Joke posts or Art/gamedev stuff and then realizes i do the other half too, and ends up liking that stuff as well. Its super fun

And Im not sure if youll see this but i'll offer my thoughts on RPGmaker too. Ill be repeating a lot of stuff ive said on da blog before but hopefully its still helpful and is more specific to this particular question

So as for RPGmaker, regardless of the version you use -- I use MV, but research and figure out whats best for you -- Id honestly just recommend screwing around in the engine. Start off making junk test projects where you just have fun testing different features. RPGMaker is pretty unique in that its a very "exploratory" engine to learn, theres a lot of tools there for you by default that you dont need coding knowledge to understand, and its really fun to familiarize yourself with them. So its easy and fun to spend a bunch of time making a bunch of horseshit that you dont plan on putting in an actual game as a way of learning

These are the tutorials i watched to figure out rpgmaker MV, very simple and fun. Id recommend just going thru something like these and making doo doo projects to see how it works. Like for example I relearned the engine by making shit like this using default assets. its way too fun.

Once youre essentially familiar with how the engine works and youre like "hey why cant i do this extremely basic thing in the engine already" id suggest searching for plugins! Theyre scripts other people have made that expand what you can do in the engine. Here are all of the ones i use for my game.

I say thsi a lot but i think the most important thing as an RPGmaker developer, particularly one not super versed in coding, is planning your games around what the engine does best and what plugins you know are available. RPGmaker is very good at making what it expects you to wanna make. Its very bad at doing anything else. So if youre like "im gonna make this cool minigame" or "Im gonna make this crazy looking UI" and plan your game around the idea youll achieve those things its gonna be very very difficult for you to do that unless you get a programmer on board. And itll probably be kind of a pain for the programmer as well. Research how feasible it is to get a particular function in the game before you become married to that idea

Also as i always say, i really recommend starting with a tiny project! like take your conception of what a "small project" is and imagine it so much smaller that it seems ridiculously tiny and simple. And youll find that that alone takes way more work than you anticipated. But dont let any of this dissuade you too much, the most important thing is doing *anything* in the engine (and having fun with it). Its great to finish projects but if you end up not finishing one then its ok, you still learned a bunch from doing that

imagine, if you will: on his way to the interview noah is stopped by a man in a trenchcoat offering "big bucks" in exchange for a nebulous "job". he brushes him off. he in turn gets brushed off at the interview. he comes back.

the shady figure tells him he needs his help. he knows a guy whos willing to pay big for an assortment of curios from the museum. noah finds this ridiculous but he has nowhere else to turn. mystery man sets him up with an earpiece and sends him in. unbeknownst to noah hes being followed. by something that makes the camera go on the floor for the occasional pov shot.

noah asks the man in the radio what he should be stealing. the man is like "oh uh. that one?" and noah is like "how do you know what im looking at" and the man is like "dont ask questions kid" and then elena runs into him and shes about to call for security but shes holding the transwarp key which was NOT the plan and noah finally spots the GIANT ROBOT RAT creeping around and they all scream and point at each other and then the museum explodes and they all have to escape from the predacons (NOT scourge).

they follow rattrap back to the maximal (NOT autobot) hideout because the cops are coming. some kind of joke about noah knowing he smelled a rat and being mad at him for setting him up (because he was 100% just using him as a distraction so he could steal the key and there was never going to be any money) but then the other maximals show up and elena goes awooga over airazor like normal. optimus primal explains theyre here from the future due to a spacetime anomaly, theyve been trapped on earth and cant go home until they find the other half of the mcguffin, which was ALSO thrown through time and space but separately. noah has no reason to care about this and goes home. ...except cheetor follows him and makes friends with his brother (Gotta Go Fast) and maybe the aliens arent so bad..........?

im not writing the whole rest of the plot but noah eventually comes back to help, rattrap and him grow to respect one another (bonding moments over their shared love of tinkering and noah seeing him and his brothers relationship in rattrap and cheetor). elena helps the whole time with her archaeology expertise because her workplace exploded and she doesnt have anything better to do. possibly partway through the vok become involved as opposed to unicron, they get ahold of the key instead of the predacons OR maximals and try to use it to terraform earth and thats why noah comes back to help? elena and airazor get combined instead of noah and mirage with the suit thing (because airazor has a history of having that happen)? some of the predacons (dinobot and blackarachnia and possibly waspinator) switch sides against the new threat???? i could do it i could make this the beast wars movie i could do it. let me do it im begging you. Please

What kind of movies do you think Avalon acts in (genres, tropes, etc.)?

ooooh this is such a good question!!!!!

Avalon will take a role in anything so long as it sounds interesting or fun to make, no matter the genre, but he tends to gravitate more towards comedies and dramas, especially romcoms and dramadies. also maybe its the Dad in him, but he loves acting in children's media.

in more broader terms he just really likes being in films that are uplifting, whether its because theyre fun and lighthearted, or because theyre about the good shining through darkness. he likes being in movies that have hope in them, you know?

also cowboy stuff. ik thats vague but hes So cowboy.

his favorite types of characters to play are "has seen The Horrors but still tries to be positive no matter what" and "gruff tough man adopts child and becomes soft" and also drag queens

his least favorite/most hated genre is inspiration porn. he cannot stand being in it, and he can't stand even watching it. he usually turns down roles like those as he feels fetishized by it. the closest thing he's ever done to something like it was a story written and directed by someone who has a similar disability to his own, based off of their own personal experience. and by "closest" i mean it wasn't at all. also it was more of a surf movie than anything.

also while he loves being in comedies, he absolutely hates being in movies that make a point of making fun of his weight or ethnicity or disablity or sexuality. specifically the kinds of movies that are like "BEHOLD. RCD!Avalon kinda hates being in action movies, but that's because he's burnt out on them. specifically, he's burnt out from doing them basically nonstop while in contract with Montmartre. he liked them at first (his biggest issues with them not coming from the filming but his experiences w Montmartre himself) but they quickly got repetitive, and then after they got repetitive they got uninteresting and-more importatly- downright stressful to make, what with having to act in greenscreen rooms with the most barebones ass sets and only being given his lines (and only his lines, so he was missing half the context) maybe an hour and a half before fliming. he'd show up to set hungover a lot. but like he'd still be professional on set, but when he wasn't in a scene he'd be kinda quiet and tired and keep to himself :( very unlike him but tbh not many people he spent time around knew that bc they didn't know him before, or they didnt know him very well before

34. How well do they deal with grief?

this is a difficult one because i dont know if theyve ever dealt with true grief .....trying to thonk.. i mean rather than experience grief afhiri will become immortal to never have to bury gale so one must assume it wouldn't be dealt with very well. but also does afhiri have the mental capacity to truly understand the complexity of grief and how to navigate it at all? would they just be sad and not really understand and just live with that until they don't? afhiri has never experienced the deaths most do in order to learn of grief as a concept. no grandparents to mourn, no pet deaths, and nothing happens in game that could trigger that in afhiri ...... after much deliberation i've come to the conclusion that afhiri does not understand the feeling, does not know the word for it (has to be taught), and deals with it in a very child like way. they understand it hurts, they don't like it, they want it to stop and they don't understand why this person, or pet, is gone, and just wants them to come back. very, why did you leave me . haha .. hurt myself now damn YOOUUU

38. What are their dreams like? Do they have any recurring dreams/nightmares?

ignoring the tadpole/guardian related dreams..... they absolutely have recurring nightmares of the moment in act 2 with the heart of the absolute where gale is intent on dying. see afhiri is intent on dying with him but has this nagging feeling that they could just decide to live, actually. wouldnt that be so much nicer? and i can see them repeating that moment in their head with the result of gale deciding that being alive together isnt enough and they need to die. haha this kind of falls in line with the other question doesnt it ahaha........ afhiri has grief inspired nightmares over a possibility that never actually occurred.

in General though we must accept that afhiri has the type of dreams we assume dogs to have. oh look, she's running! she's running in her sleep! is she.. chewing in her sleep ?? oh you know....very simple very happy having a good time doing her favourite things!!!! (playing the flute, hanging out with her friends, holding gales hand!!! etc etc )

43. Can they handle stressful situations?

oh yes, with incredible efficiency. (does not know theyre stressful) THIS IS A HALF JOKE. they handle many many many of the stressful situations in game extremely well because they are acting the entire time its all a performance they are doing a bit they are clownin on you right now and if anything stressful happens it washes over them because a clown can't get stressed in the middle of the bit, be a pretty terrible clown if that happened (still a terrible clown though)

however if its a serious (to afhiri) stressful situation like. boyfriend blow up time, afhiri is the type to look at their loved ones for help. how on earth can someone who can't string two thoughts together figure out the correct way to handle a situation that actually requires two thoughts. thats stressful man. someone please approach the stage and take this clowns hand. wheres their assistant !!!

it really comes down to how personally important they are to afhiri. this also means most of the games events are not personally important to afhiri and i still dont know why they let them lead???

i clearly wanna see some resolution or 'get together' scene ONSCREEN (cuz i have argued previously that they HAVE already banged offscreen in Dennis Gets Divorced) but I'd like to see, at the very least, going from writing Macdennis as subtext to making that the overt text. Which, in their defense, they've started doing since s12 ... but I just hope they execute the culmination of the storyline they started in s12/s13 in a way that.. does not suck ass. and i'm usually willing to give rcg a lot of leeway about this particular thing cuz like. theyre str8 they dont know any better LOL. but yeah i wanna see mac and dennis kiss, fuck, date, idc! something!

other things i'd like to see: i'd like to see charlie getting some cathartic 'snapping' arc where he goes back into the badroom and in the vents and the gang cant get him out cuz hes rlly emotional (like as a result of his dad dying or smth) and he basically just snaps, Phantom of the Opera style but he'd be like the Phantom of Paddy's... and maybe this is all while Dee's trying to host an event of whatever kind and so hes just lurking around the whole time trying to sabotage the event... maybe he kidnaps someone LOL thatd be ccool

shit... good question.... yknow i'll just use this as an opportunity to say i hate the way they wrote fat mac. it just felt like they squandered his potential. the way they executed the joke itself was just reeking of rcg's own body image issues which makes it just uncomfortable/not funny if you dont ALSO have rcg's body issues LOL. like i think if they'd done a slower progression over time where the characters just Look Their Age as they age would be a good subversion and probably not too difficult to maintain LMAO. and if Rob wanted Mac's part in that to be gaining some weight for a season/a couple seasons that could've been subversive in itself and done well. But I think bc they made it a seasonal gimmick it suffered for that. So I'm not really answering the question i Know but KJDFGNKDJ tbh i loooove the cast of characters we've become familiar with I think they're all great

Making me like a white rich deadbeat dad takes a lot, so I want to talk about my mans Stede Bonnet and his character development because from the very beginning of Our Flag Means Death it took hold of me and it hasn’t let go. Like most of the fictional white men I have grown to love in my 30 years on this earth, Stede Bonnet makes extremely questionable decisions, is deeply flawed, and has a heart so full of love it spills out everywhere. His story is one of the most compelling in the show for me.

Guillermo means so much to me. he's so well written, he has this compelling arc about self-confidence and standing up for yourself, and I seldom see latino characters in this type of sitcoms that get to be this funny and this badass and this unhinged at the same time. he is also gay. he has made many questionable life choices but you root for the guy. he is like 1.65 m but he will fuck you up if he must. he is plus-sized and there's never a single joke about him needing to lose weight or anything like that, and he's catholic and he talks Spanish when he's excited or very angry and he just wants to become a vampire but can't and is by blood supernaturally and ironically good at vampire killing. the show insists he's the most competent character on screen and it always tells you he's the hot one in the room. I just love Guillermo so much.

My #1 post of 2022

I wanted to watch Prey in Comanche but the original film was recorded in English, so I thought maybe the original acting would probably sound better. I wondered if there were reviews and opinions about how it's best to watch it on the first go and I did a quick search and found this:

On top of cultural reasons, the Comanche version should also be watched because it is the way the film's creators intended it to be seen. In an interview with Digital Spy, Prey producer Jhane Myers says "Originally, when the film was written, the first script I had, across the top it said 'All dialogue in Comanche', and I was like, 'Oh my God, yes'." While this language would've probably made Prey much better than its predecessors, this idea was sadly scrapped when Disney bought out Fox. However, the Comanche dub allows Prey to be closer to its original version, meaning that the dub is the best way to watch it.

DISNEY discarded the idea of filming in Comanche from the get-go. It was always meant to be in Comanche as the first language. Fuck them.

based on the content of my blog i can understand why anyone might be under the impression that i actually cant fuckign stand bruharvey, and even think its the worst batman ship. so it may come as a surprise that i actually fucking love it

alksdfnsdf listen we ALL know. we all know. this blog is basically just a bruharv blog at this point i barely post anything else. there are so many different flavors of bruharv and im going to try and be coherent about this as much as possible. bear w me here

What made you ship it?

batman 1942 annual #14. EASY. it was one of the first 2f comics i ever read and one of the first COMICS i ever read. i was immediately obsessed with bruce and harveys friendship and the heartbreak of the whole story i LOVE a good divorced dynamic its just so. UGH. and the fact that in hush bruce states that part of the reason why he hesitates to pursue a relationship w selina is bc he doesnt want to lose her like harvey?? dark victory????? BTAS BRUHARV???? "sleep well my friend. wherever you are, whatever youve become, i will save you."!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! "good old bruce. hes never given up on me. hes always been my best friend."!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HOW AM I NOT SUPPOSED TO LOSE MY MIND OVER THEM!!!!!! sobbing crying screaming

2. What are your favorite things about the ship?

i rlly like the variation in the different dynamics and how it can be literally heartbreaking in so many different ways! i also just love that theyre FRIENDS, that they still love each other despite everything, just the. AUGH. bruharv is the blueprint, you already know, but like adding in matches puts a spin of it thats just so fucking. bittersweet and hard to look away from its like bracing for a hit but its so fucking good you have to love them. harvey knows its bruce, and knowing hes trying like this but being unable to acknowledge it, just taking whatever you can, its just. hh. and w 2f not knowing its bruce, just growing attached to this man who reminds him so much of the first man he ever really loved, who is able to see him as he is and acknowledge it and love him anyway, and not have to compromise any of that for him!! and KNOWING its bruce, knowing that the realization is going to hurt 2f and bruce wants so bad to help him and be close to him but cant ever risk getting close enough to let him find out!!! and twobruce is like. augh. ive already ranted about them ive already obsessed youll just have to go read that bc this is already too long slkdjfnsdkf. i just kNOW bruce is still so important to 2f i know he loves him i know it. twobats is just hatefucking w an undercurrent of extreme angst on bruces side and harvbat is peak unhealthy delusional angsty hatefucking i love them theyre deranged

3. Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship?

2f is not a villain anymore than harv is they both have complex relationships w bruce and batman and morality and if you believe otherwise youre ableist <3 im not fucking joking. some of you really need to spend some time researching did bc you bought way too hard into the evil alter trope in a way that disturbs me deeply. get help.

also i think there should be more hatefucking and toxicity i love it when old men are bad people
