One of my favorite things about my senior cat is that she skitters into the bathroom behind me as if I wouldn't let her come with to begin with. As if she's not my bathroom buddy little princess

#shes so old I'm scared ❤️‍🩹#ive had many pets but due to varying circumstances ive never had one throughout their entire life span #my mom kept giving our pets away #whenever we had to move etc #and my old girl is actually my husbands cat i got custody of her when we moved in together lmao #she loves me more by a lot #so ive been with her since she was like 12/13 years old #its been like 7 years #my husband is slightly appalled at how long shes lived #honestly shes not showing her age which is what makes it scary #i have no idea if i should be doing more for her #she's losing a little weight but she still eats with the appropriate level of enthusiasm #and she has random bouts of incontinence but its not enough to be super worrying #and she plays!!#like full on leaping for her string toys all four paws off the ground and still loves to chase the red dot #but shes inching on her 20s and i dont want her to live so long that shes in pain 🥺🥺 thats my biggest fear

I don't know why I struggle so much but I am getting...somewhere.#Meta time: God damn I love how the chimera shows off the expertise and gap between Kabru and Laios.#The truth is: they are both *right* and they are both *wrong*.#This creature is a combination of monster and human and they only have the skillset to deal with one of those.#Kabru goes for all the human vitals - but she isn't human.#Laios tries to approach her as a monster and is struck down by the humanity he sees in her.#She is something new that defies what they *both* understand about the world. And that makes her such a perfect antagonist.#The damsel was the dragon all along!#...She is really so cute though. Terrifying! But adorable. I am so excited to see the boom of fanart for her.

every time a new SA allegation of a favored celeb arises, i'm reminded of the absolutely soul-crushing experience of the depp/heard trial in which i learned that dozens of ppl i loved + respected + trusted were also willing to engage in the basest form of misogyny if the woman Seemed Crazy Enough. there was a horrifying 2ish weeks on this website + much longer irl where i genuinely felt unsafe voicing my discomfort as i relived something eerily reminiscent of the aftermath of my own assaults playing out on screen, commented on by true crime youtubers like it was a red sox game.

it happens time + time again with every new allegation + it's truly the most agonizing + exhausting part of being a survivor. i am begging you all to consider that survivors are watching you engage with this stuff like theater + it erodes our trust in all of you + compounds our grief.

#one of the only things i still have blacklisted is depp/heard #the whole ~she's a borderline bitch who deserved whatever happened cuz she was the crazy one~#schtick is smth i never expected to have to watch play out on a public stage so much so that my 50 year old acquaintances would know of it #now every time it's a new Beloved Celeb i'm like i don't trust any of you fucking ppl
