(Sun Hashira and Tsuguko AU) Not sure if you've done this yet, but what do Yoriichi and Nezuko think of Sabito and Giyuu?
And speaking of Nezuko, what's she been up to? Whooping demon butt? Chilling? Occasionally having venting sessions with Yoriichi(and later Sabito) about being a demon and how much Muzan sucks? I am curious as to where she is.
i have this post showing a humorous take on giyuu and sabito first meeting yoriichi, but obviously not a lot of actual talking happens in it lol
yoriichi doesn't meet sabito or giyuu for a while because he's off doing his own thing and also tanjirou and kiriya (this au's oyakata-sama) are the only two people in the demon slayer corps who know he exists. he does hear about sabito and giyuu though, and defers to tanjirou's judgement on the matter. he thinks it's a little weird that tanjirou keeps accidentally running into demons who are good, but whatever
when yoriichi does finally meet the dynamic duo, their relationship is generally amicable. yoriichi's nice but kind of awkward and surprisingly gets along better with giyuu (they're kindred awkward spirits). mostly he's just kind of sad that sabito got put in a situation like this. he doesn't really know how to interact with the feral fox boy, but he does appreciate the kid's tenacity
nezuko also doesn't get to meet sabito or giyuu for a while because she spends most of her time these days traveling around with yoriichi (and i will probably have to make a whole nother post explaining that mess). she's a lot more excited about getting to meet them, though. besides having a familial bond with urokodaki and makomo and therefore seeing giyuu and sabito as sort of like her little brothers, she also feels a sort of kinship with them
yoriichi is the only other Good demon that she routinely hangs around, but yoriichi has a very different story from hers because yoriichi (badass that he is) never really struggled with demonic tendencies. there was no adjustment period where he had to wear a muzzle to keep from biting people. yoriichi became a demon in a very clean manner that nezuko can't really relate to.
sabito, while much more well-adjusted than nezuko was, still has a lot of feral tendencies that nezuko herself used to deal with and so she sees him as sort of a littler version of her. or bigger. he is taller than her.
she doesn't super get along with giyuu. and a lot of that has to do with the fact that he's very close with tanjirou and nezuko is . not. anymore.
also i just love writing nezuko as not liking giyuu it's so funny to me i'm sorry, they'll become friends but she needs to find him annoying for a little while first

Hashiras x reader who doesn't know how to show emotions.
Plot : The Hashiras (from Demon Slayer (not all of them)) x a stoic, inexpressive reader. Headcanons.
With : Giyuu Tomioka, Muichiro Tokito, Kyojuro Rengoku, Shinobu Kocho, Mitsuri Kanroji.
tw : giyuu's backstory is briefly mentioned. kyojuro's part involves anger and sadness. shinobu's part can be seen as slightly suggestive, but there's nothing explicit.
gn!reader. reader feels emotions just like everyone else, but they're just not too fond of displaying them.
hi ! so, uh, it's been a while. tbh, i completely forgot about tumblr. lots of things (not in a bad way, rest assured) are happening in my life rn, and i hadn't much time to spend time on tumblr. i won't promise you anything about me definitely coming back on tumblr, as i don't want to give you guys any hopes that'll eventually reveal themselves false, but i'll try.
my english has improved a bit, but i'm afraid it's still shitty, so i apologize if what i say isn't always coherent enough.
one last thing : i'll often mentions headcanons about when the both of you are going to bed to sleep together, but of course, these are when the characters in question aren't assigned on a mission.
Giyuu Tomioka
Giyuu himself doesn't like to publicly showcase his emotions, so you being inexpressive as well is kind of a gift for him. Don't make me say what I haven't, though ! He'd love you just as much if you were someone expressive by nature, but you being inexpressive suits him even better, because he knows you'll understand how he feels about this subject.
Both of you being a stoic couple doesn't prevent either of you to show your love for the other, though. You're just... not doing it outside closed doors. Hugs and kisses are at the rendezvous once both of you find yourselves in a quiet place where you know you won't be disturbed.
However, Giyuu isn't too fond of being overwhelmed of affection. Sure, he enjoys feeling the warmth of your body as you lay your head on his chest, his arms wrapped around your waist, and I'll tell you, he even enjoys being the one to lay on your chest. Hearing your heartbeat acknowledges him with the fact that you're still alive and not leaving anytime soon, so he won't be having a mental breakdown about losing one other person he cherishes. He loves the feeling of your hands grasping his, your fingers intertwined together as you enjoy the peacefulness and calmness of that loving moment... That said, I can't really imagine Giyuu being so touch deprived that he'd want affection all day long. He needs a bit of space sometime — not in a "Leave me alone" way, but in an introverted way, if that's the correct word —, and he knows you'll respect it as you're not one to make a scene about such things.
I can see Giyuu enjoying to read in your presence. He'd especially love it if both of you were lying on your double-sized bed, wrapped in each other's arms as he's holding a book for you both to read as you readjusted your position to make yourself more comfortable on his chest. That'd kind of be your dates, I guess ? I mean, Giyuu isn't someone to willingly go outside and take long walks at night.
You're the type of couple to either have deep, philosophical talks at night, rambling about your lives or something intriguing that happened during the day, or the type of couple to stay silent even when you're together, just silently enjoying the other one's presence and the amount of joy they're bringing to your life, no in-between.
If you're the second type of couple, however, that doesn't mean you'll never talk at all. If there happens to be a problem within your relationship, as mature adults, you'll talk through it and find solutions together. Neither of you will leave until you've both found a solution. Giyuu wouldn't mind doing compromises for your relationship to work better — he's not risking losing you just like he did with Sabito, Makomo and Tsutako — and so would you. Despite not showing him at all times, you love him with all your heart, and you know it's reciprocal.
Overall, you being stoic suits Giyuu just fine, and he loves it even better. He knows you won't question his lack of emotions on his face at any times, and that's probably what's keeping him in your relationship. Outside of his undying love for you, of course. He's undeniably the best one to go to if you want some calm and peacefulness.
Muichiro Tokito
Despite his age, Muichiro is a mature boy, and he knows better than to question whether your lack of expression is due to the fact that you're growing tired of him — which you clearly aren't, quite the opposite actually —, because he's in the same situation as you are. Just like everyone else, he's able to grow attached to someone, to cling onto them, just like he can feel joy, sadness, anger, etc.
He knows you're mainly showing your love physically, and privately, and he respects that. Not that he isn't too fond of PDA, but he doesn't crave it, and so do you. So, just like with Giyuu, you both keep your love within closed doors.
However, unlike Giyuu, Muichiro is much more clingy. Whenever he can, he'll go on and hold your hand, immediately intertwining his fingers with yours, he'll stand on his toes and kiss one of your cheeks, having the satisfaction of bringing a faint blush to the inexpressive being you are, he'll snuggle in your arms and rest his head on your chest, immediately closing his eyes to appreciate your warmth the best he can, he'll play with your hair after asking you if you were okay with it... You got it, he's quite the clingy boy.
Speaking of hair. If you have long hair, he'll gladly brush them and style them for you. Just know, he especially love braiding your hair, he thinks it looks good and cute on you. However, if you have short hair, he'll ask you to brush his instead. He's gifted with natural, long, beautiful hair and he knows it, and he wants to keep them maintained. As you do so, he'll probably sit on your lap, crossing his legs as he hums a melody, trying his best not to move too much so as not to complicate you the task at hand. When you're done, he'll reward you with a small kiss on the lips and a warm smile.
When it's time for you to go to bed, you already know he's clinging onto you as if it was the last thing he'll ever do. You're usually spooning. He doesn't mind being the big spoon, but he usually prefers being the little spoon. It just brings him a sense of comfort, he can't explain why exactly, but all he knows is that he loves it. He'll wrap his arms around your waist, snuggling his face in the crook of your neck to smell your scent. It relaxes him and helps him to go to sleep.
You're often training together. As a Hashira, he acknowledges his strength, and he'll go easy on you. The last thing he'd want to do is to hurt you. In that case, he'd act more as a teacher for you, helping you with moves you're struggling with. However, if you're strong enough to keep up with him — first of all, he'd be proud of having such a strong S/O, and that'll make him relax about knowing you can protect yourself — but ultimately, he won't hold back as much as he was planning to. He'll still do his best not to hurt you, but he'll be having fun training with you. It brings him a strange sense of pride and satisfaction knowing that he can freely showcase his strength while you're keeping up with him.
Overall, one of the best Hashiras to be inexpressive with. He's someone understanding, but that said, it doesn't mean he'd hold back at all. You're his and he's yours, so why restraining himself when it comes to showering you with affection ?
Kyojuro Rengoku
Well... He's the complete opposite of you. That man is full of energy and always seen with a smile on his face. He's loud and always up for a challenge, while you're... well... usually quiet and stoic. But, in his eyes, that's what makes your charm !
He's completely respectful of your boundaries. If you don't want to do something he wants to do, then be sure he won't do it. Despite how hard it would be for him to not do it, he's putting your health and well-being before his own needs. Don't want a hug ? That's fine, he can settle for your presence instead ? Don't want to go outside ? He's just as fine staying at home with you ! Don't want to cook ? Just rest in bed, he'll take care of everything !
You got it, he's very respectul of your boundaries and doesn't want to pressure you into anything that could make you uncomfortable. That's the last thing he'd want to do, to make you uncomfortable.
Whenever you need some calm, some relief or simply to talk, you can count on him ! The moment you appear to be sad or angry, he's already sitting next to you. He'll gently rest his hand on your shoulder, or your thigh if that's okay with you, and he'll ask you what's wrong, and if you want to talk about it. He'll wrap a warm arm around your neck, bringing you closer to him, and he'll run a hand through your hair, putting you at ease the best he can. He's someone quite skilled with his words, he'll always find the right words to comfort you, and he'll be careful with his choice of words. He doesn't want to accidently say something that'll make you feel worse than before.
When it's time to go to bed, he'll sneak in the blankets and wait for you to get ready as well. Just know, he's a man who usually sleeps without a top, his torso and strong, muscled, well traced arms displayed, for your eyes's pleasure. If you don't want to cuddle, be sure he'll at least kiss you on the lips. If you want to, however, he WILL cuddle. He's not missing the opportunity ! He likes to be the big spoon, it brings him a sense of protection knowing that you entrust him enough to let him carry you in his arms in such an intimate way. He isn't someone to fall asleep so quickly, so he'll admire the peaceful look on your face as you're deeply asleep, wandering how such a beauty could have fallen in love with him, someone who's so different from you.
When you both are going out, he's always having an arm wrapped around your waist. Not to display affection or to show to everyone that you're his, but to protect you. He knows you can protect yourself, but he's an overthinker, and wants to make sure you're always by his side. You never know what could happen, especially in public places, so he makes sure to at least have an arm wrapped around your waist.
Overall, Kyojuro is someone very understanding and respectful of your boundaries who'll make sure to protect you at all cases. He loves you very much and is always there for you. Probably the best one if you're feeling down, as he's the most skilled one with his words.
Shinobu Kocho
That woman is such a tease. If you agreed to be in a relationship with her, you also silently agreed to be made fun of at all times. Not in a mean way, of course, she just likes to tease like no one ever did.
You kind of remind her of Giyuu, that's probably one of the reason she's "bullying" you at least as much as she does to Giyuu, if not even more. With a playful smile on her face, she'll often do remarks about how you're not smiling enough, and how pretty you would look for her if you had a smile on your face. She's probably the one who leaves you all blushing and flustered the most out there, although you're usually not used to blush and be unsettled that much. You kind of hate her for that, but oh how you love it as well. Kind of like a love-hate relationship.
On a more serious tone, she's always reminding you that it's all for fun. She doesn't want you broken and saddened because of her playful personality. If it ever made you uncomfortable, she'd immediately notice it and stop her remarks. She'll feel remorseful, although not showing it. She doesn't want you to know that.
As the insect Hashira, she possesses lots of medical and pharmaceutical knowledge to make up for her lack of physical strenght — although that doesn't mean she's physically weak, she's actually pretty strong, her physical strenght is simply not enough to cut down a demon's neck —, she's the best one to go to whenever you feel sick. Whether you've returned of a mission and you're full or bruises and cuts, you're having a fever or a simple headache, she has all the best medicines already prepared for you. It won't take much before she finds the medicine she's searching for, and she'll immediately administer it on you. If your case is serious, she'll make sure you're lying on a bed and moving only for the necessary. And trust me when I say that if she has to tie you up on the bed for you to stop moving, she'll do it. She always has some... accessories ready for these cases.
As one of the doctor of the Demon Slayer Corps, she's often busy healing slayers and creating medicines. However, if you need to talk to her about something important, she'll make sure to talk to you while doing the task she's assigned. If she's healing a slayer, you both will talk standing up while she's doing her job. However, if she's producing some medicines, which often happens in her personal office, she'll grab a chair for you to sit. Whether the medicine needs constant attention or not, she'll prioritize you first and will be sure not to make you feel ignored. Although she may not always look at you in the eyes because of whatever she's doing, she's attentive and listening to you, and you know it.
Despite her petite figure, she's not one to underestimate. If, for some reasons, you decide to tease her back and acting bratty on her, may the Lord forgive you, because she won't be holding back. She'll remind you of your place and punish you suitably to how much of a brat you've been. She's not afraid to use radical solutions to get what she wants — as long as you've given your consent of course — and to prove to you that her height doesn't mean shit. It might be publicly, also reminding to everyone that she's not a woman to mess with, or it can be in a private setting, where you won't get disturbed. Rest assured, though, she won't hurt you... much.
Sadly, you're often sleeping alone. As I mentioned before, she's a doctor, and is often busy working on medicines or injured slayers. Even though she's sneaking into the bed at night and you both ultimately sleep together, you rarely fall asleep together. If that's hurting you at any point, she'll find a solution, whether it's to stop working for the night to sleep with you, or to bring you to her office, letting you sleep on her lap as she keeps working, she'll make sure to find a solution not to make you feel abandoned and neglected.
One thing she loves to do with you, even going as far as making it a daily thing, is having breakfast with you. Whether she has slept or not, she'll make sure to take ten to twenty minutes each morning to have breakfast with you. It is a must in your relationship, and you're happy with it, as she's probably the one out of the other Hashiras you'll see the less. She'll ask you if you've slept well, how was your night, etc. If you're not a morning person, she'll just restrain herself from talking that much, but she at least wants you to be there with her.
Overall, she's the best Hashira to go to if you feel sick. She's a busy woman but she makes sure to fulfill her duty of keep the relationship healthy and maintained as your girlfriend. She's not one to mess with, so as long as you respect her, you're fine. She's making sure you know she loves you very much and wants to keep you in her life for a long-term relationship, she doesn't like short relationships where y'all break up over a small argument, she's a mature woman who's talking through everything and makes sure to find a solution while doing her best at work.
Mitsuri Kanroji
Do I really need to specify she's the complete opposite of you ? Even worse than Kyojuro, she's a cheerful and happy being who always showcases her emotions. Rare are the moments where she isn't seen with a smile on her face. The difference between the both of you is so obvious that people can't help but ask how did you two ended up together.
Your lack of expression doesn't bother her in the slightest ; Trust me, she'll make up for the both of you, as the emotional person she is. She finds your lack of expression charming, cute and hot at once. She loves this side of you, seeing you so calm and unbothered makes her heart melt. All she wants to do is to pamper you and shower you in hugs and kisses. But if you aren't too fond of it, that's okay too ! She'll make up with other things she knows you tolerate, such as hand holding, words of affirmation or buying you gifts, often food.
Just like Shinobu, having breakfast with her is a must... except it's not only breakfast. In fact, she wants to spend the three dinners a day with you, she'll find herself all saddened and upset when she can't spend even one dinner with you. She wants to be by your side at all times, even though she knows it isn't always possible and is more of an utopic desire of hers.
She knows you're not talkative, and that's fine by her. Just like for your emotions, she'll make up for the both of you. She's the yapper to your listener. She'll often talk for hours and hours about her life, her day, about that one stray cat she crossed paths with on her way to a restaurant and how she couldn't resist the temptation to caress him, about that new, young and prodigious slayer called Tanjiro she sympathizes with, etc. Sometimes, she's afraid she's talking too much, but you assure her she's not, and in fact, you love listening to her.
Obanai was jealous of you at first, but eventually he realized you were treating Mitsuri well enough after lots of conversations with Mitsuri herself, so he kind of gave up on the idea of seducing Mitsuri and entrusted you with bringing her the joy she deserves to have. Be wary, however — if he hears ONE bad thing you did to Mitsuri, he'll knock your ass, going on and on about how she deserves to be treated like a princess and all. But Mitsuri often gets in his way, stopping him before he goes too far. Eventually, he stopped loving her, realizing you were the one who got her heart, and started acting just a little bit more friendly towards you.
When it's time to go to bed, she's often the one lying in the it first, tired of her day. Yup, whether she has done something or not, that's what makes it funny. When it's your turn to sneak under the blankets, she'll immediately snuggle to you, it goes from simply hugging you to spooning you — she doesn't mind being the little one or the big one, it's honestly up to you — to lying on top of you and resting her head in the crook of your neck. She'll whisper a weak "I love youuu" before quickly falling asleep. She's a quick sleeper, unlike her master Kyojuro, so you're often the one finding yourself admiring her angelic traits as she's peacefully sleeping next to/on top of you.
Overall, the sweetest Hashira to be in a relationship with. She's the one to go to if you need affection and for a sunshine to invade your life.

why sanegiyuu DOES make sense
woo another analysis
Both sanemi and giyuu are complex characters, and both of them did play off each other in crucial ways for their character development, their dynamic is complicated and much more then ‘they hate each other’ because in fact sanemi was the only one hated giyuu, giyuu didn’t hate sanemi. And that was due to a misunderstanding. Let’s start with giyuu, we already know that giyuu had a lot of mental issues during the time of the anime, tanjiro helping giyuu with that was a major part of his development and it’s what leads us to how sanemi affects giyuu’s character. After tanjiro causes him to acknowledge that he actually does have worth, he allowed himself to think about making another connection with another person, something giyuu did want.
Out of all the people giyuu could choose he decided on sanemi, most likely due to sanemi’s similarities to sabito giving giyuu a sense of familiarity. Giyuu never tried to hide that he wanted a connection, he shows it, picturing him giving sanemi ohagi and him talking about it with tanjiro. With sanemi, sanemi is pretty much the polar opposite, sanemi made up a entire life plan as a coping mechanism, ignoring reality and causing him to do very harsh things and that it’s itself is a delusion. He is genuinely harsh to anyone that reminds him of himself, tanjiro, genya and of course giyuu.
the people that sanemi did feel calm around didn’t remind him of himself, instead family, for example masachika and especially kanae. Sanemi acknowledged kanae was very different from himself, she was an older sibling too, but she was kind, even towards demons, just like how shizu (sanemi’s mother) was kind to kyogo (their father). Every parallel between sanemi and kanae was linked to his mother and how much he missed her. Kanae pacified sanemi for a while, though in the long term sanemi did not need that type of comfort, he needed a full on slap to the face, to bring him back to reality. he needed a slap, and trusted support so he wouldn’t completely loose it.
like i mentioned earlier sanemi did hate giyuu, but it was due to a misunderstanding. During the hashira meeting giyuu walked out, saying he wasn’t like the rest of the hashira. Giyuu meant to say that he didn’t deserve to be a hashira but sanemi misunderstood. Sanemi couldn’t fathom why someone would be so vulnerable openly, he didn’t even think for a second giyuu could think he was inferior because sanemi himself would rather die then be that vulnerable. Causing their miscommunication.
giyuu also needed a slap and he received multiple, one of them being physical, and that one is of course sabitos, after his sister died, which is what caused giyuu to get so attached to him in the first place. The second one was tanjiro, when he helped giyuu open up. Lastly the final one was sanemi during the final battle when giyuu got saved by obanai, and sanemi yelled at him “don’t space out now or i’ll murder your ass” which caused giyuu to acknowledge that he was indeed the water hashira, and then they slammed their blades together.
Although sanemi did have a positive influence on giyuu, it’s worth pointing out that giyuu had a positive influence on sanemi too. Because sanemi did get the well needed slap back to reality when genya died. His delusion broke into pieces. He needed support after the final battle, and giyuu was there to give him that support.
They were alone together after the corps defeated muzan, and they had so much in common. They could truely understand each other causing them to be vulnerable with another person, something they hadn’t done in years. The proof relies in the fact they were eating together, of their own free will. Tengen was close with them at the end of the manga but tengen wasn’t there, Because that panel was about sanemi and giyuu and their bond, there wasn’t a need for words because it was shown. Sanemi and giyuu thrived for the first time in forever, that in itself creates romantic chemistry. Their friendship was meaningful because they had so much in common, they could understand what the other was going through because they’d gone through the same thing.

au where (most of) the kamaboko squad is significantly aged down and giyuu is the one to find them all.
giyuu on a mission stumbling across a boy, aged fourteen, taking out all his anger on demons with no uniform in sight, leading him to remember the anger that sabito held in his heart towards demons.
giyuu goes on a winter mission to find a family slaughtered with the two eldest, aged five and six, huddled together in a closet forcing him to remember what tsutako did for him.
giyuu heading through some mountains on his way to a mission only to be attacked by a feral six year old child, who he painfully realises was left all alone in the world, like when tsutako died for him.
giyuu investigating a town for demons only to find a group kicking around a six year old child for fun, forcing flashbacks of when the townsfolk didn't believe that a demon killed tsutako.
giyuu limping back to the butterfly mansion when he spots a girl, no older than five, being tugged around on a rope like some sort of animal, and gets the instinct that sabito would've stepped in.
so then, he has five kindergarden aged children who call him 'chichi' and a traumatized teenager who is morally inclined towards kindness and is trying to heal by helping to raise the kids.
ensue giyuu struggling with what all the kids personally need, from tanjiro wanting to be the eldest even if he isn't, to nezuko also trying to prove she's useful only making things harder, to inosuke showing off how he's the best by making things worse, to zenitsu and kanao's flinching and abusive pasts making genya himself struggle with remembering his own younger siblings and a still-fresh trauma of calling his brother a murderer.
they would all just bring back memories giyuu repressed as well. he would just be reminded of himself or people he knew basically all the time.
but imagine the hashira's reaction. kagaya's reaction. urokodaki's reaction. the uppermoon's reactions. muzan's reaction to priceless beings held in the palm of a hashira's hand.
a child who knows the sun breathing technique. a girl who knows the exact location of the blue spider lily. a teenager who could eat demons and gain their traits. and as the others grew, starting from water breathing but eventually branching to their own, suited breathing- muzan would know he's in trouble, especially as his kizuki get baked.
shinobu poking fun at giyuu: ne ne, why wont you hang out with us?
giyuu, an exhausted single father of six who works a night job and barely even sleeps during the day due to his kids: just kill me already.
but then when they actually ask, he would say he'd have to watch his kids and explain that he has six- holy fuck how does that loser have six whole children with a woman -children they dont yet realise all were adopted, so they go over with giyuu to the water estate to see if it's true.
so, we've got genya. the reason he's only been aged down a couple years is sanemi. que their absolutely shellshocked reunion. giyuu didn't get the chance to send a crow beforehand that they were arriving, and sanemi had absolutely no idea that his brother had become one of his work rival's children.
but, they can't really tell anybody, with the other hashira being overwhelmed by the five kids. giyuu knew bits and pieces but genya begged not to tell sanemi yet so he complied until that visit.
they both just awkwardly stare at each other the whole time the other hashira are there and everyone notices but just doesn't say anything out of politeness.
then giyuu asks how the kids like his coworkers. they all go around saying how much they liked the hashira then it gets to tanjiro. you can tell he's sort of upset from his facial expression, and dead set on sanemi.
genya and giyuu are horrified as tanjiro says he dislikes them because genya smells nervous and terrified. he then runs off, and the other kids immediately agree with tanjiro before following, so everything just spirals.
genya just dashes after them and tries to make them apologize, but it's just awkward silence all around for the hashira as they just sorta look at each other. it is very tense as giyuu leads them out, and genya finally rallies the children into apologizing. anyone could tell how much they were lying through that entire thing.
then genya also apologizes and bows really deep, and none of them really know how to react until sanemi steps forward to pat genya's head, saying it's not his fault and that kids will be kids. a reference to when genya called sanemi a murderer.
canonically, sanemi immediately forgave genya for that all after it happened, and he only acted hostile after genya joined the corps. so they could have a good sibling relationship build when genya's not a part of the corps.
the hashira then depart, and genya bursts into tears. the children rush to comfort him as they're all overwhelmed with how much relief is steaming off of genya at that moment.
giyuu looks back towards the hashira, where sanemi is looking back. giyuu waves, and from the shadows given by sunset, he can see sanemi did the same.
...and the end, this is all i can think about for a scene. might write this out sometime but feel free to see it. it spiralled once i started.

For once, the Hashiras goes out all together and have their rare times when they all sit down, eating a meal together. As you’d expect, it ended with a mess... But hey, you got to spend time with your friends!
➵ Hᴀsʜɪʀᴀ Gᴇᴛ Tᴏɢᴇᴛʜᴇʀs
Once in a blue moon, when the stars and all the planets of the Solar System align, so does every Hashira’s schedule. Whenever it does, you, Kyojuro and Mitsuri take the initiative to invite every single Hashira for lunch, or dinner. The three of you went with your suggestion this time. A small restaurant right at the outskirts of the one of the districts you look after, surrounded by flowers and cherry blossom trees, run by a kind florist and a chef.
The view was stunning and calming, perfect sight seeing for your friends who prefer to stay silent and rarely participate in conversations, and not so expensive food for your friends who have a large appetite. Since it was once in a lifetime opportunity, you offered the day as your treat.
Everyone agreed to meet up, to which you, Mitsuri and Kyojuro celebrated. After all, all the Hashiras needed a break, eat good meals, and tolerate each other long enough to have a whole meal together.
Tengen always brings alcohol even after Shinobu scolds him countless times to not bring any in the presence of your youngest Hashira. Tengen’s excuse was always, “Relax, Kocho-san! It’s not like Tokito notices us drinking anyways.” He’d always receive a kick on the back of his head by an angry butterfly. Tengen would always fake cry to you about it since you’re one of the nicest Hashiras.
You’d sweatdrop, give Shinobu a small, apologetic smile as you pull out a bottle of a much lighter alcohol that’s just similar to fruit juice, but still has a punch for Tengen. Tengen would smirk triumphantly while an irk mark appeared on Shinobu’s forehead, a smile never leaving her face.
To make sure Obanai actually stays until everyone leaves, you and Kyojuro have assigned Mitsuri to be his ‘chaperone’ for the whole day. Neither of them complains, one of them is visibly happy at Mitsuri’s ‘assigned work’ and the other is super flustered. Mitsuri would start sputtering with a red face when she sees you and Kyojuro watching them talk to one another with huge, shit eating grins at your faces.
Gyomei, bless his heart, would bring some sweets he made with Genya (don’t tell Sanemi)! “A little treat for everyone for working so hard,” He explains, holding out a small box of everyone’s favorite sweets, tears streaming down his face.
Muichiro actually tries to be more attentive, especially if you’re there. You’re like his older sibling, so he usually takes the spot next to you when all of you are finally seated, but stays quiet for the most part. Although, he’d talk to you in a soft voice from time to time!
Sanemi was about to refuse when Kyojuro mentioned the owner having a dog wandering around the restaurant you picked. He glared at him, but begrudgingly agreed to come over.
Sabito would always drag Giyuu to these little get-togethers to improve his socializing skills. “He never had any in the first place,” Sanemi would say to rile up Sabito. It takes you, Giyuu, Obanai and Kyojuro to hold back the two men from starting a fight in a public area. You picked up the owner’s dog and put it on Sanemi’s lap. He’s been behaving ever since.
When everyone settled on the table, it was a good lunch that all of you shared. Laughter, sharing of stories, teasing, you name it. This is what life should be. Light hearted, carefree and having a good meal with friends. A silent vow was made between all Hashiras. Once the planet they walk on is devoid of any demon, they would share more moments like these together.
“Y/n-chan,” Shinobu called for you in a hushed manner, glancing at Giyuu, who was holding a menu. “Please tell me this restaurant doesn’t serve simmered salmon with daikon...” Her smile was stiff, brow twitching. You just smiled back at her, tilting your head to the side innocently. That seemed to earn a wide eyed expression from her, but instead of surprise, you could see butterflies that seemed to flutter in her eyes angrily.
You had no regrets, pouting at her. “I think his smiles are cute, Shinobu-chan...” You admitted, crossing your arms. Her smiling mask turned into disgusted expression, making you let out a choked laugh hand over your lips to stifle more laughter threatening to escape your lips.
“My, my, Kocho-san! What’s with the unflamboyant look on your face?” Tengen exclaimed, a hand over his chest as he stared at her in pure disbelief, as if he just saw something he’s never seen before... Which is accurate to what’s seeing at the moment.
You mumbled an unheard thanks to Tengen when her anger was suddenly directed to the flamboyant, Sound Hashira.
Almost everyone had conversations of their own with other Hashiras. Sabito and Sanemi would actually talk about whatever, Giyuu listening and muttering some comments here and there. It was like a temporary truce. What others don’t know is that they’d feel a bit guilty if they ruin their once in a lifetime outings all together. Of course they’d always rile each other up, but it always ends up being thrown into a different topic.
“I hope we get to eat out more like this,” Mitsuri chuckled, eyeing the two scarred men scowling at each other, but speaking in hushed, yet sharp tones. “Sabito-san and Shinazugawa-san might become friends!” She chirped, placing her hands on her cheeks as she flushed at the thought, sighing dreamily.
“As long as Tomioka exists, they’d never truly bond.” Obanai stated, scratching Kaburamaru’s chin as the snake flicks his tongue at Mitusri affectionately. It made her frown, but a hopeful gleam remained in her eyes. She puffed her cheeks into a pout, making Obanai’s cheers flare up and avert his eyes. You winced at the two of them being so obvious, groaning inwardly. “Well, maybe we could give Tomioka-san a hand!”
You hummed in a thought, tracing the edge of your tea cup, enjoying the warmth radiating from it. “Tomioka-san approached me not too long ago. He wanted to get along with Shinazugawa-san and asked for advice, since he seems a little nicer to me.” You recalled, taking a sip from your tea. Mitusri and Obanai gaped at you, as if you grew another set of eyes. Muichiro peered at you, brow slightly raised.
“Alone? Without Sabito-san?” Muichiro asks, tilting his head to the side curiously. You nodded your head, glancing at the stoic, raven haired boy. “What happened?”
You laughed anxiously, rubbing the back of your neck. “I told him to offer him some Ohagi since it’s his favorite but... Tomioka-san recently rejected his offer to eat simmered salmon with daikon with him so Shinazugawa-san gave him a black eye.” You bit back a sigh as memories of Giyuu frowning at you while you tended his wound back at the Butterfly Estate. “I felt so bad...”
“EH!?” Mitsuri looked horrified, hand hovering her lips with her eyes wide. “R-really!?” Obanai let out a snort, shoulders shaking slightly up and down as he held in his laughter. Even Muichiro had an amused twinkle in his eyes. Poor Giyuu... “That’s not funny!”
“I think he deserved it,” Shinobu suddenly jumped in, a small giggle escaping her soft lips, eyes burning onto Giyuu. The poor ravenette glanced at Shinobu’s direction and began to squirm uncomfortably under her scrutinizing gaze.
Tengen let out a boisterous laugh, pouring himself and Kyojuro a whole glass of alcohol. He managed to snatch his bottle from Shinobu, a smirk on his face. Gyomei sighed, clasping his hands together and rubbing his prayer beads, but a small, fond smile was on his lips, just glad everyone was having a good time together. “Uzui-san, it’s only midday, isn’t it a bit too early to begin drinking?” He tried to reason but Tengen just flashed him a smile.
“It’s fine, Himejima-san! It’s not that alcoholic!” He grinned, gulping down a whole glass with Kyojuro, who was just grinning as wide as his flamboyant friend. Obanai sighed loudly, shaking his head and muttering, “He had to drag Rengoku to his antics... What a bad influence...” To which Mitsuri nervously giggled.
“If you’re worried about Tokito, he’s not even listening to us-!”
“I can hear you, Uzui-san.”
Tengen blinked, then let out a huff, a hand on his waist. “L/n-san! How about you take a seat away from Tokito and drink with me?”
“Just drink with Owl Eyes, Old Man.” Muichiro spat at him, though his expression didn’t change as he gently grabbed your arm, sending the message that ‘you’re not going anywhere’. You sweatdropped, but gave Muichiro a sweet smile, patting his head.
Tengen only gasped, offended at the nickname Muichiro gave him. “WHO ARE YOU CALLING AN OLD MAN!?” You can hear Sanemi and Sabito snickering at the young boy’s remark. That only pissed Tengen even more, tick marks appearing on his face.
“What’s wrong, gramps? Didn’t get much sleep last night?” Drawled Sabito, smirking at the Sound Hashira with a glint of mischief in his eyes. Tengen rose from his seat, ready to strangle the peach haired boy. Giyuu could only let out a sigh.
“I’M ONLY 2 YEARS OLDER THAN YOU!!” Tengen screeched, pointing a finger at Sabito, disrupting the peace across the restaurant. Mitsuri’s face turned red, letting out a squeak, stood up and began bowing to the other customers, babbling embarrassed apologies. To spare Mitsuri from more shame, Obanai reached for her hand and bowed with her.
You almost choked on your tea at the sudden display of affection, completely ignoring Tengen shouting profanities at Sabito and Sanemi, as well as Shinobu landing another kick on Tengen’s head. You shook excitedly on your seat as you watched the two dorks in love grow even more flustered, looking away from each other as they continued to bow in apology. Giyuu buried his face in his hands, lighting rubbing his temples from the growing headache.
Meanwhile...
“Owl Eyes?” Kyojuro raised a brow at Muichiro, not a bit offended, just curious. Muichiro stared at him blankly, before discreetly pulling out a piece of paper you always carry in your haori, then opened it. Kyojuro analyzed the piece of paper, grin widening more and more as he stared longer.
“You’d be a tiger to be honest since you have that Fire Breathing form but your eyes are huge, so I decided you’d be an owl. Oh, also because you’re loud, it made me think of how owls are loud when they go ‘hoot’ at night.” The boy uncharacteristically ranted, totally engrossed in his drawing.
In the paper were multiple drawings of all the Hashiras as animals, him being a wide eyed owl. “My my! I feel honored to be drawn as an owl!” The boy's dull eyes sparkled, the faintest of smiles emerged from his lips.
“Thank you, Rengoku-san. It helps me remember everyone when I compare them to animals.” He then turned his head to you, clinging to your arm a bit. “Y/n-san was the one who taught me.”
Gyomei sighed contently, not even fazed by all the commotion his dear children were causing. Tears pricked his eyes again as he mumbled, “I thank you for giving us such a beautiful day to be together, Namu Amida butsu.”

Umm hello! Only if you could and if it's not too much ask, could i request the hashiras seeing reader (who's also a hashira) as an older sibling figure?? I hope you are having an excellent day! :D
a/n: Absolutely! Not too much at all! Hope you don't mind these being a bit short as there's a lot to write for :p Please enjoy!! (also why are these all so saaaaadddd omg ;n;)
The Hashira w/ an Older Sibling Figure
GIYUU TOMIOKA
You're the only person he really talks to or spends time with
He never feels any pressure or anxiety when he's around you, and he goes to you for any advice he may need
You keep an eye out for him whenever you're on a mission, and he does the same for you
You're the only one he's confided in about his past and about his guilt surrounding Sabito
You remind him of his sister, he doesn't want to ever lose you like he lost her ;u;
You can easily read his facial expressions, even the slightest little change in his usually stony facade is clear as day to you
Most of the time though you both just sit in silence, simply enjoying the presence of one another
KYOJURO RENGOKU
He's always had to be the older, more responsible one in many of his relationships
He's never really had that feeling of looking up to someone like you
Is this how Senjuro feels when he's around him? Because if so, Kyo feels he's been missing out. It's a great feeling!
He appreciates your protective, kind and patient nature
He shares his lunches with you, always 'mistakenly' making more than what he needed, but you always do the same thing too, and you end up with way more food than you both need, lol
He absorbs your tutelage like a sponge, he's always eager to learn more from you
He brings you to his home all the time to hang out with Senjuro, who also loves you very much (poor kid needs some happiness man)
TENGEN UZUI
Oh dear this one may be a bit angsty
Uzui still has a lot of painful memories of his family, and it was a bit concerning for him to start to see you as an older sibling
He was just terrified of you ending up the same way as his siblings
But, he does trust you, and he would do anything to keep you safe from harm, even though he knows you're more than capable of keeping yourself safe
You're literally always with him, though, so he rarely has to worry about you being out of his sight
His wives adore you, they know that when Tengen is gone for a mission that he'll come back safe because he has you with him
You both look out for each other and give each other combat tips
There's no one else he'd rather fight alongside
SHINOBU KOCHO
Ok...this one is painful
How are you so much like Kanae? She can't comprehend it
Despite the pain of being around you, how you remind her so much of her older sister, she does enjoy your company very much
When you help her craft her poisons and medicines, she appreciates the help so much
You, like Tanjiro, see right through her smiling, gentle facade and see how much anger and pain she has within her
You help her in coping with it by constantly checking in on her and making sure she's in a good mental space, something she doesn't get a lot
MITSURI KANROJI
She talks to you about E V E R Y T H I N G
You're one of the few people who know about her love for Obanai, and you're constantly trying to get them together
She shares her food with you, besides Kyojuro, you're one of the few people she eats with because you don't judge her for her enormous appetite
She's very physically affectionate, always hugging you or hanging around you in some way, she just loves being able to do that with you platonically
She's constantly admiring everything you do, you could so much as breathe in her direction and she'd be like <333333
She never has to hide who she truly is around you, and for that she is sincerely appreciative
(I love Mitsuri sm agh she deserves the world)
OBANAI IGURO
He ignored you at first in all honesty
He's so used to being alone (and not to mention, he feels like he deserves to be alone) that he was somewhat anxious about you hanging around
However, he eventually warmed up to you
You encourage his relationship with Mitsuri and you know the full extent of his feelings for her
Kaburamaru also trusts you completely, and if he's not wrapped around Obanai in some way, he's wrapped around you
You're also the only one Obanai trusts with information about his past
You do your best to try and reassure him that he is not what his family made him out to be and that not everybody is out to hurt him
SANEMI SHINAZUGAWA
How in the hell did you ever manage to get close enough to him to even form a sibling-like relationship, let alone a friendship?
Sanemi...he has a lot of pain when it comes to his past, especially since it involves his family
He blames himself for everything that happened and so he feels like he doesn't deserve to have anyone be close to him
That is, until you came along
You were stubborn enough to stick with him even though he constantly told you to fuck off, threatened you, cursed at you, etc
But when he realized you weren't going anywhere, he kinda gave up and just allowed you to stick around
Your presence is very healing to him, he looks forward to seeing you
You're the only one who knows the full extent of everything he and Genya have been through, and you try to encourage Sanemi to talk to Genya and at least attempt to fix their relationship
Since he was the eldest of his siblings, Sanemi never really had someone to rely on in such a way, he always had to be the one his younger siblings went to
He has to admit though, he likes being able to have someone to go to for advice
GYOMEI HIMEJIMA
Another one who feels deeply that he doesn't deserve to have such kindness from you
He was worried about what you would do if you found out about him
Ever since...you know, what happened in his past, he worries about what people may think of him, especially someone as kind and lovely as you
Though, when you do sort of break through his stone wall (ha, GET IT) he actually opens up to you quite quickly
The trust you have in each other is unwavering, so much so that you spend a lot of time together just meditating or enjoying the scenery in silence
You do your best to assuage his guilt about what happened in his past, saying that he did what he could and that beating himself up about the past will only make him feel worse
He loves your kindness and appreciates that you're able to see him for who he really is (a lovely kind boi <3)
MUICHIRO TOKITO
Though he seems a bit out of it, Muichiro does acknowledge your presence
You remind him of someone...he just can't put his finger on it
Your protective nature toward him, it makes him think of someone he used to know (;n;)
You're always so patient with him, knowing that he has little to no memory of his past (though, Ubuyashiki's wife told you everything about it when you asked)
Though he can sometimes come off as cold and uncaring, you understand why, and through talking to him, he eventually regained some of his memories, remembering who it was you reminded him of...;u;
He's actually really lovely and kind! <3
He spends most of his time with you, discussing different topics (cloud types, bird species, etc)
"Y/N...that cloud is pretty, isn't it?" "It is, Muichiro, you're right."

Hand-holding
Pairing: Sabito x reader
Category: fluff
Warning(s)/note(s): established relationship, i wrote this with a female reader in mind since reader’s gender was unspecified, but i didn’t use any pronouns so this could be GN! Reader as well, reader is implied to be shorter than Sabito
Request: nanako hiiii! your writings are so amazing and i truly love them each. oh and i would also like to request one of sabito? maybe how he is when you grab his hand to hold it? it would be amazing if you could, thanks so much! <3 your awesome :)
A/n: thank you so much for the kind words and for requesting this wonderful idea ! As i’ve said before, i don’t normally take requests but i don’t mind writing them if ever i feel inspired by them! I hope i was able to meet your request, enjoy!<3
Tagging: @issa2008
•Sabito doesn’t mind PDA. In fact he loves it.
•Of course, he is only ever comfortable with giving physical affection to those he loves.
•Good news: you’re one of the people he loves! So PDA is a yes.
•Sabito is normally the one to initiate physical affection since he just sees it as his duty, as a man, to take charge.
•But he secretly melts whenever you initiate it, whether it be kisses or cuddles or hand-holding. It simply makes him feel loved.
•Speaking of hand-holding, he has a thing for that. Sabito may be someone who comes off as bold but aside from his rather touchy behavior, simple actions such as holding hands are enough to turn him to putty.
•The first time you grabbed his hand, he didn’t notice and absentmindedly wrapped his fingers around yours.
•Then he actually stopped and processed the situation without even turning to face you, his hand still squeezing yours.
•He had his fox mask on, so when he did turn around, you couldn’t tell if he was upset that you might have overstepped his boundaries.
•The doubt was washed away when you were pulled towards him faster than you could blink and you hit his chest, one arm snaking around your waist while his other hand still held yours.
• “If you wanted to touch me that badly, you should’ve simply asked. We’ve done more than this before, haven’t we?”
•Absolutely relishes in watching you become a flustered mess.
•From now on, hand-holding is a must whenever you two are together, he isn’t shy about proving to everyone that you are his.
•If you are a pillar, he’ll make you sit with him during Pillar Meetings, no questions asked, and he’ll just have your hand in his for the entire duration.
•Will gently run his thumb over the back of your hand without even realizing it, he just appreciates how your skin is, whether it be rough or soft, it doesn’t matter to him.
•By now everyone knows you two are a couple, Sabito makes it obvious enough, and during meetings, Mitsuri will sneak glances at you both, cheeks red, and internally squeal because your love is so pure????
•And Giyuu, the professional third-wheeler, will crawl into a corner and die.
•When you both get paired up on missions, you bet he’s gonna have his fingers intertwined with yours while you two scout the area.
•He might, at times, unintentionally(read:intentionally) tug you in a specific direction without warning.
•Being able to touch you reassures him that you are here, with him, and safe.
•He’s a huge tease, so expect him to raise his hand above his head when you try to hold it, making it just out of reach.
•Adores watching you huff and try to grab his hand, it probably strokes his ego. He’ll have a shit-eating grin on the entire time.
•Pro-tip: pout. He melts when he sees your pout and if you do so, he’ll slowly lower his hand and hold it out for you to hold.
•Sometimes, he’ll bring your hand up to his lips and give it a kiss or brush his lips against it casually while you’re there like: Sndjekwkejehehe????
•When you sleep at night(assuming you both live together), his favorite position is to have you lie on top of him with his one arm draped around your waist while his other hand holds yours.
•Overall, hand-holding is a must when you are dating Sabito and he will not hesitate to tickle-attack you if you refuse to hold his hand.

The lightning pillar headcannons made me melt 👌👌😭 i loved it alot and i thought the idea would be cute, don't need to do it tho if you want to ofc :D thankiess 💙
Hello!! Thank you for the request and thank you so much for liking those headcannons!! 🥺 Of course I’ll write it ^^
Here’s the Fem!Lightning Pillar headcannons
Giyuu Tomioka x Fem!Lightning Pillar
Synopsis: You and Giyuu had met when you were doing the final selection and became friends with him. However, life made you drift apart and you both became pillars just to meet one another again.
✼ ҉ ✼ ҉ ✼ ♡ ✼ ҉ ✼ ҉ ✼
✼ ҉ ✼ ҉ ✼ ҉ ✼ ҉ ✼ ҉ ✼
You panted heavily as you ran through thick fog and towering trees. Your hand griping firmly around the hilt of your nichirin blade. Your eyes were darting from every direction, waiting for another demon to pop out of nowhere and take a slash at you. There was rustling ahead of you and prepared your blade. You brought both your hand to your blade handle and lifted your arms to swing when-
‘Shit, it’s a slayer!’
A small boy with long black hair and a red haori looked at you frightened as you had your blade lifted, ready to slice him down. You couldn’t stop yourself, you had already charged and you couldn’t stop now. In a flash, another boy appears out of seemingly nowhere and connects your two swords, pushing you away with his strength.
You went skidding to the side and almost tumbled over. You were too much in a panic of almost slicing another slayer to process the boy’s strength. After you got your grounding, you quickly jog to the two boys, “I’m so sorry! The fog was so thick and I thought it was a demon! Please excuse my incompetence!” You bowed low to the two boys just to hear one of them scoff.
“Maybe you shouldn’t be a slayer if you cannot tell the difference between human and demon.” The boy with pinkish hair spat.
You cocked a brow at the boy and thought to yourself ‘what’s with this kid??’ You opened your mouth to argue before the boy with black hair interrupted, “It-it’s fine, Sabito. I’m sure she didn’t mean it.”
“Tch, fine. Just as long as she learns her lesson.”
You raised your brow at the pink haired boy with squared patterned haori again. You then noticed that the both of them had fox masks on.
“Oh? What are those. They look very nice. Whoever made them must be really good at woodcarving.”
“It’s a warding mask,” replied the pink haired boy, “to help keep evil spirits and demons away. The craftsmanship is very good. Urokodaki Sensei is very talented and taught us all we know.”
“And you two are?”
“I’m Sabito and this here is Giyuu...”
“Ah, hello Sabito, Giyuu. I’m Y/N,” you bow once again and they do the same, greeting you. “Let’s just forget that incident. I’m sorry, Giyuu.” You smile at him and he timidly tells you it was alright and that they’ll look past it now.
You tagged along with the two for a couple a days. You were very surprised by how strong Sabito was. He was saving everyone and no demon was too strong for him. It was amazing watching him. Giyuu was strong as well but Sabito kept outshining him.
One day, a demon attacked the three of you and you ended up getting separated from the two and finished the rest of Final Slection on your own. Once you reached the wisteria section of the mountain to claim your ore and uniform, you were too out of it from injuries and exhaustion that you didn’t see Sabito or Giyuu again. You figured they’d both be alright though.
━━━━━ ♡ ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ ♡ ━━━━━
Years had passed and you had become stronger. You accomplished Total Concentration Breathing Constant and slayed a number of demons. You quickly climbed the ranks as you went on more mission and killed more demons. Eventually you were finally able to slay one of the Twelve Kizuki and was given the message to join the Hashiras.
You were pretty banged up from the demon and met Shinobu before any of the other Pillars. She tended your wounds and gave you medicated water to ease your pain before guiding you to Master Ubuyashiki’s garden where everyone else had been waiting.
You felt very nervous to see such a range of people. Two of them were very, very tall and stood in the way of seeing some of the other pillars.
They were all greeting you and asking you a ton of questions. Many of them were very proud to see another slayer defeat a Twelve Kizuki and join them in the ranks. Eventually, Master Ubuyashiki made his appearance and everyone got in line to kneel to him. You did the same until he called you up front to introduce you to everyone. You were finally able to see all of the pillars now that everyone was in line. You scan through until you see a familiar face, farthest away and the end of the line.
You eyes widen after seeing a familiar red haori with raven, black hair sat on top and ocean blue eyes staring right back at you. ‘I can’t believe it,’ you thought to yourself, ‘It’s Giyuu! I thought I’d never see him again!’ You were ecstatic to talk to him again but had to wait until Ubuyashiki had dismissed everyone first.
The meeting finally came to an end and you made a beeline to Giyuu, ignoring all the other pillars who wanted to ask further questions.
“Giyuu?! Is that you? It’s me! Y/N! We were in final selection together! Gods, I can’t believe it! I thought I’d never see you again!” He’d grown a lot since you last saw him. His hair was longer, his jaw was more defined and you now had to look up to meet his eyes. Dare you say he looked more handsome.
“Y-Y/N, Its been so long.” Giyuu stuttered out, completely flustered. He could feel his cheeks burning the more he spoke with you. You hadn’t grown much in height but your body filled out more and your hair had gotten a bit longer as well. He was nervous to say that you were making his heart flutter again.
“Don’t be so shy, give me a hug!! I can’t belive you’re a Hashira, how did that even happen?” You continued on as you outstretched your arms to pull Giyuu in. He was very stiff and awkward but couldn’t resist embracing you after thinking you’ve been dead for years. He was completely wrong. You were strong, so strong in fact that you managed to take out one of the Twelve Kizuki and became a Pillar. For some strange reason, he felt so proud of you despite not seeing you for so long.
All the other Pillars just stared in disbelief and confusion. Who where you? How did you know Tomioka? How did you get him to talk? How the heck did you get him to hug you?! And how were you making him so flustered?!?! He’s stoic!!
After pulling away from the hug, you opened your mouth to ask about Sabito when you noticed the other half of his haori. Your eyes softened and touched the yellow and green patterns, you heart sinking a little. You bring your eyes back to Giyuu’s, “Did... did Sabito... not... not make it...?” You ask him sadly, tears threatening to swell your eyes. Giyuu’s eye become very sad as he looks to the side and just simply shakes his head.
“I’m so sorry, Giyuu... he was a very good man. I’m sure he’ll be reincarnated, his heart was very kind and pure.”
The other Pillars finally interrupted and started bombarding you with more questions and you spent some time talking with all of them and keeping Giyuu close to you since he kept trying to leave. You still wanted to talk with him afterwards.
━━━━━━ ♡ ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ ♡ ━━━━━
“Ugh, what a relief!” You let out as you stretch your arms upwards, “I thought they’d never stop asking questions.”
You and Giyuu were walking side by side and leaving Ubuyashiki’s garden.
You excitedly turn to Giyuu, you eyes sparkling as you made contact with his deep, ocean blue ones, “We have so much to catch up on! Tell me, Giyuu, what Pillar are you?”
The both of you spoke all night and caught eachother up on a lot of things. You talked a bit more than Giyuu did of course, but he still replied and shared enough of his thoughts to not make it seem like you were talking to a brick wall.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ ♡ ━━━━━
━━━━ ♡ ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Giyuu was so relieved to see that you were okay. He knows he didn’t know you a lot but there was just something so magnetizing about you when you first met. He couldn’t help but feel so interested in you. You’d occasionally come across his mind the years you weren’t there and he would just wonder what you were up to. Pessimism would often creep in and make him think that you might already be dead. He tried his best to shake those thoughts but there was a high chance of that being the reality. Being a slayer never guaranteed a safe future.
It turns out all those pessimistic thoughts were wrong and now here you were, reunited with him. He couldn’t understand why he was so overjoyed to see you again. His heart pounded a bit more around you now than it did years ago. It confused him how you made his thoughts hazy and his temperature rise. But most importantly, he was just so relieved that you were still alive. And to top it all off, you became a Hashira. I mean, a Hashira! The new Lighting Pillar! It made him feel so proud of you. He couldn’t believe you were that strong. Not that he ever doubted you, he just feared that since he enjoyed your presence that you’d be doomed to die too soon.
But now you’re here, stronger than he could have ever imagined, and he was not going to let you leave his side ever again.

What are the demons slayer characters reactions to fireworks?
:0 e x c e l l e n t
I got a little carried away with it, sorry it took so long lmao ;-;
How I think the Demon Slayer characters would react to fireworks (canon universe)
The entire Kamado family loves fireworks, and they love to run around with sparklers and firecrackers.
Inosuke got scared the first time he saw a firework show, but after an explanation from Zenitsu he came to adore and respect these sparkly, flying gods of the sky.
Zenitsu doesn't like the ones with a really quiet and tense lead up (no jump scares for him, please and thank you) but he loves the really bright waterfalls of sparks. He'd give anything to be able to watch a firework show with Nezuko, just the two of them.
The really loud ones scare Kanao, but you can see her eyes light up in awe after they explode. She would have been timid at first, but after watching Tanjiro and Nezuko successfully throw and catch a sparkler, she joined in with their antics.
Genya and Sanemi both adore fireworks. They love watching the bursts of colour and light in the sky; it's calming for them. Sometimes, they'll take their family out to a peaceful place to watch the display and have a picnic of sorts.
It also helps both of them to occasionally go for a walk alone to watch from a distance.
Although he doesn't like to admit it, Giyuu is mesmerised by fireworks. The first time Sabito gave him a sparkler, he couldn't stop smiling. Whenever he feels down, he'll light a candle or something to remind him of those times.
Sabito laughs at Giyuu when he gets scared from a loud explosion (that is, until he gets scared from the next one).
When they were younger, Giyuu, Sabito and Makomo used to run through festivals holding firecrackers. Nowadays they go up to the hills and admire them as close to the sky as they can be (pls why did that make me tear up-😭).
Shinobu and Kanae love to go to festivals to watch the fireworks, and tease each other when they get scared.
If Shinobu is too busy with her patients, she, Kanae, Aoi, Sumi, Kiyo and Naho will hold a little festival of their own. It really brightens everyone's day, and the patients love to see their carers look so relaxed and happy.
Mitsuri and Obanai love to sit in an open field, cuddle up to each other and watch the fireworks. Obanai loves how Mitsuri's eyes reflect the intricate patterns of the sparks, and how her face just softens as she smiles.
Muichiro and Yuichiro love to watch the fireworks, and although they get caught by a few jump scares, they love guessing what colour the firework will be and what kind.
Himejima isn't particularly fond of firework shows, as sometimes the noise can catch him off guard. However, if he is with a trusted companion, he will ask them to describe it to him. He loves to hear the excitement and awe in their voice.
Uzui and his wives absolutely adore going to firework shows and just being able to relax as a family (it would be a beautiful moment to witness).
Rengoku would take Senjuro to festivals to see the fireworks. They’d laugh at each other when they got sacred, and overall, it’s a great brotherly bonding moment.
Rui and his (human) family loved going to festivals together to watch the fireworks. Rui and other children liked to guess what shape the firework would be, and the adults liked to relax and admire the creations. It was one of the few things he could freely enjoy, being sick.
As a demon, whenever he was lonely, he liked to set off a single firework and watch the rain of sparks from the top of a tree. He had to do this alone, as none of the spider family was fond of the bright light or the loud noise.
Enmu enjoys sitting on top of a building or other tall structure and draw/photograph the fireworks.
In the Entertainment District, I would expect there would be a lot of fireworks, so Daki and Gyutaro are used to them. However, that doesn't take away the aesthetic value, and the two enjoy watching fireworks from a rooftop when they need a breather.
If you’ve read most or all of the manga, you would remember Hakuji’s (Akaza’s) promise to take Koyuki to see the fireworks, so obviously he loves them. However, they can also be a painful reminder of his ‘failure’ to protect Koyuki, so he is also somewhat scared of them.
When Akaza feels lonely, sad, or wants to reminisce, if he can light a firework or go see a firework show, he will. It helps him to relax and let out his emotions and internal pain (he just needs a hug honestly).
Douma isn’t really a fan of the loud noise of a firework, he finds it distracting and somewhat annoying. However, he does admire their beauty, and sometimes likes to match the colours of his favourite firework with paint colours so he can really express its value to him.
Yoriichi and Michikatsu (Kokushibo) used to watch the fireworks when they were younger, and they were always mesmerised by the power and beauty of such creations. They would speak of their favourite fireworks for days after seeing a show.
Like Akaza, whenever Kokushibo wants to remember his past, or relive the feeling of being younger, he’ll light a firework, or find a display he can view from a distance. He can get rather emotional, so he goes alone.
After Michikatsu (Kokushibo) became a demon, Yoriichi would often go to watch a firework show to remind him of his brother. It helped him to feel at peace.
Tamayo and Yushiro like to light small fireworks for their patients, as the excitement and awe that fireworks can produce within people seems to help in their recovery.
The two of them love to light a single sparkler every now and then, and set it in the ground and watch it slowly die out. After that, they love to sit on the stairs or the roof to watch the stars.
When Muzan was human, I think that fireworks would have been a source of happiness and internal calm for him. Being terminally ill, he would have needed something that would help him to momentarily forget his inevitable death, and fireworks may have been just it.
As a demon, I don’t think Muzan would like fireworks. They remind him too much of his past, and the bright light is a little concerning.
How I think the Demon Slayer characters would react to fireworks (modern universe)
Uzui and Rengoku are the ones lighting the fireworks. Even illegally. They love it.
A sudden burst of fireworks will scare the absolute shit out of Zenitsu, so he'll usually ask Inosuke (or someone else intimidating) to go yell at whoever set them off. Inosuke would end up joining them, just to piss off Zenitsu.
Kanao and Nezuko often get caught off guard by fireworks, so they can be a little sceptical at the idea. However, once they get used to them, they have an amazing time.
Tanjiro loves fireworks. His parents took him to a festival when he was little, and he can never get enough of them.
Genya and Sanemi love going to see fireworks, but them moment someone sets one off in the middle of the night, they're both pissed.
Giyuu hates when random people set off fireworks. Even on Christmas/New Year's. He doesn't mind official firework shows though, probably because Sabito and Makomo force him to go with them.
Shinobu loves to watch fireworks, she finds them relaxing, and they distract her from the stress in her life. She usually ignores the random people setting them off, she doesn't have time for that.
If someone random is setting off fireworks near her house, Kanae will go outside to remind them to be careful. No setting fire to the park, please!
Firework dates are a favourite for Mitsuri and Obanai. They love to pack a picnic and gaze at the clearing sky afterwards too.
Muichiro and Yuichiro love lighting sparklers on special occasions, and if someone's setting off fireworks near their house, they're at the window in seconds trying to spot them.
Himejima likes to know what's going on when it comes to fireworks, so he will typically have a friend with him to keep him informed. He tends to ignore the random bursts of sparks at the end of the street on Tuesday nights.
Rui adores fireworks. Last new years, his mother gave him a sparkler to hold, and he's never been the same since. In a good way, I mean.
Enmu loves to go solo to firework festivals, and he brings a really expensive camera with him. He love to photograph the fireworks and post the pictures on his Instagram.
I hate to say it, but Daki and Gyutaro are those two problem children that go around lighting fireworks in the middle of the night, just to piss everyone off.
Akaza can and will fight anyone who disturbs him with fireworks, however, he gives the some leeway on special occasions. When the fireworks are legal, he doesn't mind them, and he loves to take Koyuki out to see them.
Douma loves to watch fireworks, and I think they would be an important aspect of celebration to him. He likes to listen to the distant crackle of a firework on a quiet night.
Yoriichi and Michikatsu, even as adults, will gladly run through the streets on special holidays holding sparklers. It brings back memories from when they were little, and the whole neighbourhood will join them in their antics.
Tamayo loves to hand out sparklers to the children in the neighbourhood. Yushiro gets annoyed at the kids for giving Tamayo so much attention, but he recognises how happy it makes her, so he allows it. The kids end up dragging him along with them, and although he acts like he hates it, he’s really having a good time.
Muzan still isn’t a fan of the loud, distracting noise, but he knows that on holidays, he can’t stop anyone from setting off fireworks, so he’ll just try to ignore it.
Again, I am so so sorry this took so long. Hope you enjoyed!

Perspective of Sabito
3 years, that’s how long it’s been since that night. 3 years since those tears tore me apart. 3 years since everything got screwed up.
That night, after (y/n) ran off, Giyuu nearly broke my jaw. I didn’t fight back, even when he slammed me against a tree.
He growls at me, “WHAT HAPPENED?! I heard (y/n) crying and then I see you right after. Be careful with what you say, It better match up with her story later!”
“It’s all just a misunderstanding, Misa threw herself on me and that’s when (y/n) came. I swear I was about to push her off but (y/n) ran off before I could do anything.”
I felt his grip on me loosen, his body relaxes and he hangs his head, sighing.
“Damnit Sabito! You know how she feels about you!… I’m sorry she’s always bugging you, I’ll have a talk with her.”
He starts to turn but I grab his shoulder. “Hold on, I need to have a talk with you first.”
He looks at me with questioning eyebrows.
Here we go.
“So… I figured you’d be pissed if I actually had intentions for your sister, when she’s older of course.”
Giyuu groans, “UGH! Of course I’d be pissed!”
Well, saw that coming.
He continues, “but…if it was going to anyone… I guess I rather it be you.”
*artist @PPKyume on Twitter. Jan 14, 2020*
Wait… what? This means…
“Giyuu, you know I would never hurt her. I’ve always protected her and when the time is right I’ll-“
He cuts me off “I don’t need to hear it. I know, I know. I don’t want to hear it.”
I smile, a chuckle escaping me.
“Well then, you better go explain to her what happened, and bring her back out”
I nod; taking the box she handed me and run. Once I reach the house, I call our her name. When she doesn’t answer I head to her room. I call for her again. Silence is my answer. I stand outside her door.
“Y/n, please we need to talk. I need to clear things up with you.”
Hmm, nothing…
“(Y/N)?”
I opened her door and she was gone.
After the panic and searching, we accepted the fact that she took off. Her note that she left behind said she would return after she finished training and passed final selection.

🍃🍂🍃🍃🍂🍃🍂🍃🍂🍃🍂🍃🍂🍃🍂🍃🍂🍃
That was all 3 years ago.
When she finally did return, she kept her distance from me. I wanted to give her a big hug but she didn’t even look me in the eyes. Giyuu told me he tried talking to her but she wouldn’t listen. She would leave and come back, never staying long enough for me to get to her.
While all this was going on, Misa continued to come after me. I don’t know why when I constantly ignored her aside and never let her get near me. Sure, some other women might’ve looked my way, but I could care less.
It pained me. Seeing her come and go. I would watch her from the distance, admiring her. I noticed her face had slightly matured; and as a man I’ve noticed a few other things. Her ass, my Gods. I didn’t think it could get bigger, but it did. Her waist, her long hair, all changed. One thing that didn’t changed were her small breast, but I didn’t care. She’s beautiful, in my eyes she’s perfect.
*found @llaroll on Twitter, Dec 25, 2017*
Damnit, I’m a pervert…
But (y/n)’s 18 birthday was nearing, and I had to take charge. What kind of man would I be if I didn’t? I’ve been looking forward to this day. Now that she’s turning 18, I could finally approach her the way I wanted to, the way she deserves. I could explain everything and tell her how I felt without worrying about the consequences of her age. I could ask for her forgiveness and most importantly, a chance.
I heard that she was given a week off. For this I’ll bring a grand bouquet of flowers and gifts. I’ll do everything right.
Perspective of (y/n)
When I had came back after final selection, I was ready to jump into everyone’s arms. I missed them all so much, especially my brother and Sabito. I wanted to apologize for my rash behavior. Back then I felt that if I passed final selection, everyone (especially Sabito) wouldn’t look at me as such a child.
But it was hopeless. When I came back, the first person I saw was her. She was by the gates working on something and gave me an ugly look. I kept looking forward, wanting to ignore her. But that’s when she told me her and Sabito were together. That I shouldn’t bother talking to him or anything. My heart shattered even more, but I kept walking.
Since then I’ve been avoiding him. You would think after nearly 3 years it would get easier, but it doesn’t. My chest feels heavy when his presence is near, and I avoid his gaze to prevent the tears from coming.
But now, my birthday is only a few days away.
“He’s going on a mission?!”
I can’t believe it, Sabito accepts a mission 4 days prior to my 18th birthday. I know we’ve been distant for some time, and that he’s with that bitch, but It’s my 18th..
“Not like he can refuse. But, when he comes back, you should talk to him.”
“Giyuu…” I give my brother a look that only us Tomioka’s can give.
He returns the silence and we continue our meal together.
3 DAYS LATER… will be continued on part 5.5!

I just take one request so I'll go with modern one!
Sabito x Reader (Domestic ModernAU) (Slight NSFW warning)
Being Sabito's childhood friend means knowing almost all of the behaviours and habits, and so does Sabito. And when he finally confess to you after both of you graduated from High School, you were so happy because you've been waiting for this moment.
Being in the same university made it more easier for him to reach you out. Sabito proposed you to live in his apartment until both of you graduated and you happily accepted it.
He called this, 'A simulation before the real one.'
"What real one?"
"Marrying you." He winked. Damn, that's smooth please shut up.
And now, you and Sabito were in 3rd year.
When Sabito woke up in the morning, he will just play with your hair until you wake up by yourself.
"Mm... Morning, Sabito. Playing with my hair again?"
"Hm."
"If you're awake, wake me up too, geez."
"I can stare at your stupid face for hours."
"Seriously, what is that for."
You raised your body from your bed and stretched out, planning what breakfast you should make. Both of his arms snatched your hips.
"I'll make breakfast, you should get ready first. Your project will start at 8 right?" Sabito mumbled.
"Um yeah." You yawned, caressing his messy hair. "Thank you."
Today, the role reversed. He's the one who wore apron while flipping eggs and you helped him with the tables and coffees after done with your clothings.
"Sabito, you make lunch too?" You peeked from his shoulder. "Uwah, the legendary bear-shaped onigiri rice."
"Yeah, after you finished on your project, let's eat them together."
You usually went to uni with him, but this time, you'll go first.
"Why are you wearing scarf?" He crossed his arms, standing in front of the door, while escorting you to outside.
"You dare to question why?" With embarrassing and mad face, you revealed some hickies on your crooks. "Whose fault is this?"
"My bad." He raised his hand while smugly smiling.
"Grr..." You grabbed both of his shoulder, tip-toed and planted kiss on his neck, leaving red marks. "Fufu, fair play."
"Ugh.."
"Bye Sabito!" After another quick peck landed on his lips, you finally headed out to your university. He covered his reddened face with his palm, swearing that he will revenge you.
Like usual, you ate lunch with Sabito and your other childhood friends, Giyuu and Makomo at the mini park.
"You know, (y/n). The other day, Sabito was sleeping in the class and he called your name!" Makomo giggled. "I got the video!"
"Whaaat, show me, show me!"
"Wait, Makomo!!"
Being university student means both of you don't really much time to meet, but you always made sure to pay Sabito a visit on his kendo club activity.
But Sabito didn't want you to sat near his kendo friends, because of constant eyeing from the boys and death-glaring from the girls.
Nah, it's just his natural jealousy. You didn't really mind about them anyway, you just wanted to see him training.
"Why can't I sit with them? I want to befriend with your manager too."
"No. Just no."
"....I'll go home then."
"Wait, no! I'll lost my morality!!"
"THEN WHAT DO YOU WANT ME TO DO?"
So, here you are, seeing his training at second floor. When your eyes met with his, you grinned and smiled while waving your hand.
"Fight, Sabito!"
Then he waved back, making peace sign. That some sort of morale make him more brutal while swishing his wooden sword towards his team.
Sabito probably looked soft and all but he's really become fierce when it comes to other people. But apparently, this didn't apply to you.
He wanted to make sure that you got enough attention from him, even though both of you were busy.
So, dating-days is all of your choices. You're the one who decided where do you want to go.
He likes to take your picture from behind on dates and send it on InstaStory
"With (y/n), lol she's smol." "Bby would deadass fall into that water fountain." "Love it when she said 'Chimkin nugget'"
And please do not question about how he made long ass threads on his pinned Twitter, all contained about you and your photos.
You also have your own habit, like slipping your hand inside his hoodies' pocket, ran with your hand pulling his shirt while showing him something interesting, accidentally stepping on his back shoes.
Sabito literally loses his mind when he can't find your figure behind him while both of you walking, but he stayed cool and started looking for you. This is just your another behaviour when dating, but still, gave him heart attack.
Until he saw hands of yours waving on the air, the method he taught to you in case you lose him.
"Again?!"
"Sorry, I got distracted by the student disc- awawawawa." He pinched your cheek. You grabbed his hand while whining in protest.
"Tell me if you wanted to go somewhere, stupid!"
Dates will be always ended with shopping for 1 week-stocks
Sabito never let you bring a single groceries bag and often snatched it from you even though you said you wanted to carry half of them.
"What kind of man who let girl bringing these much?"
Both of you knew how to handling with eachother's moods.
One day, you slammed the door after a shitty day.
"He-"
You just ignored him and went straight to your shared room, slamming down your whole body onto the bed.
Sabito immediately knew that you're in super bad mood, so he prepared hot tea and your favourite snacks, bringing them to bedroom.
He lifted your body, and positioned yourself between his lap, rolling you around and making you hugged his body. After that, he will read books or played with your phones while caressing your back, letting you stay in silence until you started to tell what made you upset today.
Or, when he's the one who stressed, he will say nothing while hugging you from behind and put his head on your shoulder.
"Care to spill?"
"..."
"Okay, then. Anytime you ready." You'll do your usual activity inside the house with he clinging onto you, regaining energy by claimed that it's called 'recharging'.
Day-off like Saturday and Sunday is the most precious day. Well, not really, just doing a normal bunch of what couple would do in the apartment.
Also, he's literally... Your mom.
"Hang it here!" "How many times do I had to tell you to not put your pants and shirts on the chair?" "Don't forget turn off the water." "You haven't cook the rice? Geez, I almost done with the other foods!" "Your bra, missy. I really have an issue with that if you carelessly put them in the living room. What if someone's barge in?"
"I don't think someone will barge in unless they're thief, Sabito."
Not to mention how he forced and dragged you all the way down on Sunday to jogging and running.
"Ok, one more lap!"
"Wha-?! Didn't you just say that this is the last?"
"Go! Go! Go!"
Bathing together after long one day? Sure! But please bear with his groping on your breast when you bathe in with him on the tub.
"I'm not groping, I massage them. They said it will grow bigger."
"...where did you hear that. Also, I'm insulted, you know."
"Hmm, I don't really care but isn't it more-"
"Shut up, you pervert!" You splashed water onto his face.
Other affections like kissing and cuddling were done when both of you about to go to bed. He didn't kiss you outside the house because he wanted to feel the simple intimacy from you.
He usually offered you 'pillow-hand' when you're about to sleep or when you still wanted to talk to him with his feet cuddling yours under the blankets.
"The scar..." You slowly dragged your finger at the reddish mark from mouth to ear. "...If I'm not so stupid to go near the wild dog when we were 10, you probably don't have-"
"How many times do I have to tell you that this is not your fault?" He pressed his temple onto yours. "It was my decision to protect you, this scar is also my responsibility."
"But, I'm still not-"
"Oh, but if you kissed my scar everyday, it probably helps."
"You just wanted to be kissed, do you?" You slowly smacked his head while giggling.
"Yeah, maybe? Just- don't think about it anymore. It's all in the past." He butterfly-kissed your nose, telling you to sleep afterwards.
"Umm, can you pat my back?"
"If it made you at ease, sure." He started to move his hand, dragged his palm on your back.
Now, this is new. He didn't know you like it when he caressed your back.
Even though both of you have been together for a long time, Sabito is still eager to discover other real side of you more, so please be prepared.

i am. now on ch 164. can i just say i rly like tanjirou and giyuu's dynamic? something abt it is so nice but i cant put my finger on it. idk what it is. mby its bc giyuu feels like an older brother? which throws me off bc tanjirou is supposed to b the Older Brother character. idk maybe im dumb. also i cried over inosuke's past & i still got tears in my eyes for shinobu.
AHAH so when i first saw this i typed a response in the notes app & was gonna fix it up later but im.just going to post them instead if thats ok KSDFJNSKDFN hopefully it makes some sense :3
edit: AHADASHS im so dumb this post has post-164 spoilers so just spoilers for dat i guess
AA BUT UR RIGHT THO i think they fulfill these rly special roles for each other that makes their dynamic work the way it does . u mentioned how tanjirou is the older brother character between the two of them and i like how the story works to remind us of this multiple times throughout its course (fight w the tsuzumi demon, crying for nezuko’s pain during the red light arc, nezuko conquering the sun, etc). his whole life hes had to hold himself to that standard (standard being his sense of responsibility and obligation) in the face of adversity for sake of protecting nezuko, carrying the burden of his family’s loss, bearing the pain of the demons and corpsman around him, etc. all at the tender age of like . 15 . and thats so much to shoulder on ur own yknow. i feel like giyuu , being that mentor figure he is for tanjiro (and later falling into this big brother role), allows him to not Have to be the oldest one in the situation and lets him relax a little u know . like hes able to kind of step back and be a kid again and YEAH hes still dealing w all this shit on the side and its not as if any of his problems are just magically solved, but god to have giyuu provide that space for him is just rly nice and i appreciate that .
and on the other hand i thjnk it also gives giyuu purpose and meaning? he grieves the loss of his sister and sabito every day and i truly think he embraces the opportunity to play the same role they did in protecting his life . like, hes always dealing w these feelings of guilt , insecurity, and weakness for relying on others so now w tanjirou, he’s able to pay it back via his mentorship and big brother relationship. its a tribute to tsutako and sabito in its own way nd im so soft abt that u know. it makes their teamwork in that final battle w muzan soo so important to me . like i see these images and i want to burst into tears bro
(AND HOW IT MIMICS THE WAY TANJIROU SAYS GOODBYE TO RENGOKU & EVEN SHOWS HIS FLAME GUARD AAAAAAAAAAA. knowing how important rengoku was for tanjiro’s development, its cool to see it projected onto giyuu and the ways in which tanjiro has provided meaning for him as well)
theres so much i want to say abt their dynamic that i just dk how to articulate. its unfortunate bc if i could transcribe the 4432 page novel in my head i would AAHAH im just. i love how receptive their relationship is. i like how they are able to fit into each others lives like they were always meant to be there . how they are both the same person in many ways bt also benefit from the differences they bring each other . oojhh its so good and im really happy w how they’ve evolved from literally ch.1 to the end.
AND WAWWBWHHHDU INOSUKES PAST MAKES ME SO SAD I . kotoha..... i miss her so much . its so painful to think of just how incredibly young she was and the awful ways in which the people in her life treated her . she did all she could for inosuke all while doubting herself nd i . gd . and to think that , because inosuke never had the chance of meeting her , thought that he was unloved or unwanted . and then to find out thru his moms murderer just How Much she loved him and all she went thru to ensure his safety, survival, and success . it breaks me down every fuckign time . AND JUST . HOW HE FOUND COMFORT THRU SHINOBU AND .. HIM AND KANAO SHARING THEIR EXPERIENCES TOGETHER LIKE THAT . IM SO SAD IM . SO SAD . douma is such a (n intentionally) godawful character but i really love his arc w these three and i love the revelations , the tension , nd the emotion. i love the breathing techniques and blood demon arts and suspense . the art .. ouughh . shinobus anger being treated in the way that it was , both as a motivational force and positive character asset despite also detailing her flaws in leaving kanao behind without much say of her own . its so fucking good
i just rly love this whole sequence of events . bc you get storylines for nearly every character within that 40 chapter span (between 140-180) nd they all hit different points . all share the common theme of loss, anger, resilience, and love while also manifesting their own unique narratives .
#AAAAAWAAAAAAAAAA i think thats why i love kny so much#the emotion and impact character relationships has on the story is just. SO good#in a lot of stuff i usually see it as . like a plot with characters to fill certain roles#but this one feels like . kny IS the cast. its focused on the characters and theres a plot to bring out their complexities#idk if tht makes sense but AAAAAAA sobbing#lgtext#giyuu#tanjiro#kny#kny spoilers#kny manga#nezuko#kotoha#inosuke#douma#shinobu#kanao

Kanna is a woman who stands at 167 cm ( 5′6″ ), she is characterized by her rather athletic build, though has plenty of distinct feminine features that are very striking. She is able to use a sword with a straight edged blade since she has enough physical prowess to decapitate a demon little to no problems. Despite a lot, Kanna is very agile, which can give her an advantage in any sort of conflict with ease. She has an hourglass body figure, though it’s rare visible, usually covered by her haori and uniform, she is the kind the that wears a skirt rather than the standard uniform pants. Her hair is black, often compared to the dark stormy sky during a thunderstorm at night, it progressively gets lighter and descends into a light yellow at the tips. It’s usually held in pigtails and pinned with two lightning pins. Her eyes are an orchid purple, making them very striking, though her hair seems to be her most notable feature when it comes to everything. To end this all off, she has a creamy peach skin complexion.
It’s not hard to see that she is a Thunder Breath Technique user, having mastered all of the forms that there are, much like Zenitsu and Kaigaku she was trained by Jigoro Kuwajima aka Gramps, who happens to be her biological grandfather. With her advanced sword skills, Kanna relies heavily on her instincts when it comes to anything combat related, as a result, fights are more than usually always in her favor since she can anticipate a whole lot. Fighting and combat are incredibly difficult because of this since she’s often described as being extremely unpredictable.
Kanna has the most wonderful people skills and truly cares about the happiness and well-being of others. People see her as a giver. Her primary way to evaluate people and situations is externally and this means that she considers everything based on how well it fits into her values systems. This makes her incredibly patient, understanding and kind. Because she has an outward focus on other people, she sees possibilities where others see obstacles. Kanna tends to have a natural ability to love, nurture, and care for others as well as bring out the best in them. She thoroughly enjoys seeing other people happy and having a good time. Kanna is extremely unselfish, but some may think she uses natural people skills to manipulate others. Kanna gets her nickname “The Protagonist” (and “mentor” or “teacher”) because she supports others. She genuinely cares about bringing out the best in others, and will use her skills to do so. People with her personality type will feel challenged by spending time alone. Being extraverted, this can seem like a punishment rather than the opportunity for rest and reflection that it really is. She finds herself filling her life with non-stop activity and more relationships than she can reasonably handle to avoid this discomfort. It’s essential that she consider her own needs to avoid burnout and being taken advantage of by others. Compared to other extraverted personality types, Kanna has more difficulty expressing her opinions and letting people get to know her at an intimate level. When she does express her beliefs, it’s not likely that they will be too personal. The main reason for this is that Kanna doesn’t want to alienate anyone. However, she then runs the risk of feeling lonely even when constantly surrounded by others because it’s hard for her to reveal her true self.
At a young age, Kanna’s home life wasn’t easy by any means, often being quite rowdy and causing trouble for her parents. As a child, she was incredibly outgoing and very much acted like a tomboy, being far from refined like her parents wanted her to be. She was often subjected to having her social interaction limited because of the way that she ended up acting around other children, even though she was nothing but friendly. Time and time again, she got told that no one would want her or accept her for the way that she ended up acting. Eventually a breaking point was reached and it all came crashing down when her father and mother openly ridiculed her out in public. Kanna was only 7 when this all happened. Not long after, she ran away to live with her grandfather that her family no longer associated with. A friendly traveler was able to help her get their safely without getting harmed or anything.
From that time forward, she trained with her grandfather, the retired Thunder Hashira. There were no problems teaching her from such a young age especially with her strong fighting spirit. She learned very quickly and had little struggle when it came to the various Thunder Breathing forms, being a very promising Demon Slayer in the making. Much like everyone else, at age 15 she went to Final Selection upon approval from her grandfather that she was very much ready to move forward. Before the Final Selection process happened, she briefly met both Giyuu and Sabito who were also there. She did happen to be quite chatty with them. Of course, she didn’t hear of the tragedy until much later on. After about a year of advancing her skills and mastering them, Kanna filled the vacant Thunder Hashira position. Through the years, she had the opportunity to go back and visit her grandfather, meeting both Kaigaku and Zenitsu. It was very much intended for Kanna to take Kaigaku on as her Tsuguko, but this didn’t happen due to constant clashes in he and Kanna’s personalities. Zenitsu becoming her next consideration, though she very much waited on him to get a better hold on himself so that she could.
She is seen to have good relations with all the other Hashira and she always tries her hardest to stay in the good graces of all of them since they are her allies. Despite having two biological siblings that Kanna has never met, she has plenty of self proclaimed ones. Primarily Shinobu and Mitsuri, very much acting like the elder sister to the other two female Hashira. Of course, Zenitsu being the other one, mostly since she promised her grandfather that she would keep an eye on him and look after her. So, it’s not uncommon for her to periodically check up on him, even if she comes off as somewhat overbearing and he doesn’t want to have her around, she still puts forth the effort to try, even if it ends up being a major pain. When it came to the whole situation with Tanjiro and Nezuko, she remained heavily unbiased and didn’t really offer a proper opinion, though she very much understands the situation and fully supports Tanjiro having his sister around.
SPOILERS UNDER THE CUT!!!
Just like all the other Hashira, Kanna very much struggled with the death of Kyojuro and it was hard for her to cope since it was so sudden. If anything, she just struggled to come to terms with the fact that one of the strongest Hashira had ended up dying. It was just hard for her to wrap her brain around. However, when the time came, she readily accepted Yūna into their Hashira ranks, mostly because she was sure that her predecessor would’ve wanted her to fit in rather than be some sort of outcast. Once again, Kanna willingly added the other girl to her list of self proclaimed siblings. She and Yūna becoming a duo. Prior to the Red Light District Arc, she did offer Zenitsu a lot of encouragement when it came to the mission he would be participating in. Also including how important and crucial he was to the mission that he was about to go on. She was there to bid him farewell and good luck before he left with Tengen.
When it came to the final training before the final battle, Kanna worked with Yūna to make a stealth training exercise, just so that everyone wasn’t so spread thin. Admittedly, she and Yūna made the exercise very difficult, since it was stealth and it was meant to be hard since it would be such a huge asset. Nothing can compare to the amount of strenuous training that she undertook just to make sure that she was prepared. Though, more than anything it was used to cope with the unexpected passing of her grandfather, who had committed seppuku. Such a thing was incomprehensible to her, especially since he had the person who practically raised her after she had up and left her parents. In the end, it kind of broke her will to fight anymore with the fear that she would lose a lot more because of the final battle that lie ahead. Yūna was the one who helped her pull it all together, since she knew as well as anyone that they would probably need all the strength they had to achieve victory.
During the final battle, Kanna was constantly drifting between different fights to help the best that she possibly could. Mostly being caught up in the fight that was happening between Zenitsu and Kaigaku then attending to Zenitsu’s wounds the best that she possibly could before she moved onto the next fight. It was extremely exhausting, but she did all that she possibly could to help with what was going on. Along the way, she did sustain a fairly life threatening injury, but kept fighting despite how bad that it was. Of course, she fought alongside the few remaining Hashira as everything came to a close. She nearly succumbed to her injury and spent a long while just recovering from it, though it allowed for a lot of self reflection on her part and she was frequented by Yūna and Zenitsu throughout her recovery process. With the three others, she attended the last Hashira meeting before seeking to live a peaceful life at her grandfather’s estate that he left to her.

The Water Hashira, Urokodaki Sabito, was not amused.

Demon Slayers—that is the name given to those with special powers that hunts down Demons.
The Demon Slayers operates in a nameless task force to deal against supernatural beings—better known as Demons. No one knew when this task force came into existence or who the boss of the organization is. Rumour has it that this task force has been present in Japan since the Heian period.
Throughout history, the existence of Demon Slayers has been lost to the general public. Only those working in the higher division in the government were aware of their existence. Throughout history, every single Japanese prime minister has attempted to either shut down or take over control of Demon Slayers, but each time they were met with failures.
The first reason being the threat of Demons that the governments themselves were unable to deal with. The second—as well as the main reason—was that Demon Slayers were too powerful. They possess inhuman strength and speed that even bullets can't catch up to. They wielded katanas that were no longer being crafted in the modern age and with their blades wrapped in their powers, they can split a building in half.
They were monsters wearing the skin of humans, just like those Demons they slay. Demon Slayers only operates in the night, never in daylight. Throughout the years, no matter how hard the government tried, they can never locate their headquarter. Even meeting the boss of the organization had only been a handful of times throughout the centuries, the last being exactly a hundred years ago.
While the government continued to wreck their brains to figure out a way to contain the Demon Slayers—as they have always been—the Demon Slayers were having issues with their own.
That issue was a single Demon Slayer name Urokodaki Sabito.
Sabito was a legend among the newer generation of Demon Slayers. He was the Water Hashira—the highest title a Demon Slayer can get, as well as proof that he was the strongest Demon Slayer among the Water Breathe users. Sabito was an orphan, adopted and trained by none other than the previous Water Hashira, Urokodaki Sakonji.
Not only was Sabito strong, but he was also very kind and although strict when training, he was an excellent teacher. Unlike other Hashiras who never bothered teaching their subordinates, Sabito made sure to have a personal training session with each member in the Water Division. He always wore a kind smile on his face and greeted everyone respectfully and equally. He was never arrogant in being stronger and higher ranked than everyone else. He was like a warm flame in the cold winter night, attracting people to him.
The lower rank Demon Slayers were blissfully oblivious, but the other Hashiras has entirely different stories to tell when it comes to Sabito.
They all had one Tomioka Giyuu to thank for that.
Giyuu was also a student of Urokodaki Sakonji, as well as Sabito’s childhood friend.
The two of them were inseparable.
Although Giyuu possessed abilities of a Hashira, his rank remained as Kinoe. It wasn’t that he wasn’t given the offer, it was just that Giyuu had no interest in becoming a Hashira. His only wish was to stay by Sabito’s and slay Demons.
If there was anyone in this world that can make Sabito lose all of his composures, that would definitely be Tomioka Giyuu.
The Hashiras knew that better than anyone, as each one of them had been at least threatened once by the seemingly kind man.
The Insect Hashira—Kochou Shinobu—being the most recent example.
The genius paramedic would pop a vein while maintaining her smile whenever she recalled the incident. She had simply pointed out the truth of how nobody liked Tomioka Giyuu right in Giyuu’s face.
As much as Shinobu dislike Giyuu, she trusted his personality and his ability to keep silent on matters. That was why she was surprised when the very next day an unpleased looking Sabito stormed into her office. What occurred afterward was anyone’s guess, but Sabito would never raise a hand to a woman so Shinobu was considered to be let off easy. To this day the Insect Hashira was still searching for whoever that tattled her to Sabito, just so they can assist her in testing some of the latest poison she made.
And currently…that very same Urokodaki Sabito was livid.
If looks could kill, the Sound Hashira—Uzui Tengen—would be dead a hundred times over. Well…perhaps he wasn’t too far into dying, considering how his flamboyantly beautiful skin was beaten into ugly shades of purple. His three girlfriends were shivering in the corner of the training room, not even daring to whimper as they watched the one-sided beating of their beloved for the past thirty minutes.
“My apologies, I don’t think I’ve heard you properly, Tengen-san," Sabito spoke softly. Despite speaking so respectfully, there was nothing respectful in his actions. His voice was void of any emotion, like the calm before a storm.
Gray eyes stared down at the man lying before him in a heap of limbs.
“What did you say you made Giyuu do, Tengen-san?”
Ah…so this is how I will die—Uzui thought as he stared at the man with a huge scar across his right cheek and coral pink hair pulled back in a low ponytail. Those silver eyes were void of emotion as the man raised the wooden sword over his head, taking a very familiar stance.
Yep, he was going to die. Not by the hands of Demons, but by the hands of a fellow Hashira.
…All because this damn Hashira got jealousy issues?!
Seriously?!
This was not the flamboyant way he imagined when he met his end! No, screw that! He never imagined meeting his end at all!
“S-Sabito-san!” A boy with red hair squeaked at the far end of the other room.
Sabito stopped.
Uzui didn’t dare to even breathe as he stared at the wooden sword hovering just an inch away from his face. He could feel the sharp wind from the force of the blade, brushing against his skin as if taunting his uselessness.
“Yes, Tanjirou?” Sabito asked, voice still even while those gray eyes never leaving their prey.
“Shouldn’t we look for Giyuu-san?” Kamado Tanjirou asked with slightly quivering voice and a face full of concern as he sneaked a glance at Uzui. For the love of Oyakata-sama somebody bless that kid.
That seemed to bring Sabito out as he turned to fully look at Tanjirou.
“Tanjirou, gather the team and have them meet me in the office in thirty minutes.”
“Yes!” Tanjirou shouted. With another glance at Uzui, he hurried away to relay the orders.
Sabito watched until Tanjirou disappeared through the door before looking back down at Uzui. “You better hope Giyuu doesn’t lose a strand of his hair, Tengen-san. Otherwise…”
Sabito didn’t finish his sentence. He didn’t have to.
Tossing the wooden sword aside, Sabito vanished in a blink of an eye.
Certain that the other Hashira was gone, Uzui let out a long sigh of relief before he was tackled down by his three girlfriends who began crying all over him.
“Tengen-sama! Don’t die!!”
“I’m not going to die!” Uzui choked. He might be spared by Sabito, but these women were clutching onto him in all the wrong places. Scratch that, there was no right place, his entire body hurts and he was certain the bastard broke (or at least cracked) every single bone in his body!
“Hurry and call…the paramedics!” He spat out a mouthful of crimson fluid, causing the women around him to freak out even more. None of them even heard his request. With one of the girls practically strangling him, he can’t even explain that it was just the tomato use he drank an hour ago finally spilling out.
Damn it, how did this happen?!
Oh, right…Uzui remembered now.
It had all began with three high ranked Demons. The three of them banded together and formed an underground organization. With their powers and abilities higher than normal humans, they were rapidly rising through the ranks in the underworld and expanding at an alarming rate.
As Demon Slayers, they needed to hurry and take out the three Demons. They couldn’t afford to let them accumulate power any more than this. After those three are taken care of, what’s left of the organization will be the government’s problem, not theirs.
Through the information they had gathered, they learned that the three Demons love to frequent a red district in Kyoto. This particular red-light district was popular amongst the underworld. Many big-name criminals go there, whether to exchange information or for pleasure.
Through weeks of observation and information sent from their spies, Uzui can be certain that these Demons visit the red light district at least once a week. They don’t have any preferred brothel. They would roam the street and look for whomever that catches their eyes.
Taking care of the three Demons wasn’t the main issue. The main issue was those human bodyguards hiding in the shadows watching over their boss. Criminals or not, it was against the Demon Slayer code to turn their blade against humans. That's why they needed to isolate those Demons from their bodyguards—along with the rest of the humans.
The only time that happens was when those Demons find a man that catches their eyes.
Yes, these three Demon’s tastes were into males.
Young and handsome males, to be exact.
The first thing that came to Uzui’s mind was that boar-headed brat. He was perfect for the job and what’s more, he didn’t belong to any division, so he was free to grab. Unfortunately, that idea was quickly discarded when they found out that these Demons liked to conquer their victims. They love pretty boys with strong resolves—especially ones that didn’t wear emotions on their faces—so they would get the sick sense of satisfaction when they break them in bed. They will play with their toy over and over until they get tired (which was in a week at most), devour the victim and move on to their next hunt.
That was how Uzui ended up in this kind of situation…because no matter how much he thought, Tomioka Giyuu who served under the Water Hashira was the only one that fitted the bill. On top of that, being ranked Kinoe meant Giyuu would have no problem taking care of himself should anything happen.
As if Oyakata was on his side, Sabito had been sent away for a one month trip in Korea.
It seemed that Demon Slayer branch in Korea was inadequate with their works so Sabito was sent to smack them into shape. After all, when it comes to teaching Sabito was the only reasonable choice among the Hashiras.
That was two weeks ago, which means there’s still another two weeks until Sabito returns!
In the beginning, Giyuu had walked away when Uzui flamboyantly told him to go with them on this mission. However, the moment the older man announced that this was an order from a Hashira, the raven—like the good soldier he was—reluctantly obliged.
Sure, Uzui had worried about Sabito finding out. After all, the man always has some ways to find out things when it came to Giyuu. However, with the Water Hashira out of the country and Giyuu never being one to tattle or gossip, Uzui was certain he could return Giyuu before Sabito even realized he was gone.
So why?
Why was Sabito who was supposed to be gone for another two weeks back in Japan?! Who the hell leaked their information?!
✼ ҉ ✼ ҉ ✼ ҉ ✼ ҉ ✼ ҉ ✼
Tomioka Giyuu was feeling extremely uneasy.
He stood under the roof of the brothel he had been assigned to as he stared at the rain falling from the grey clouds above.
He has been working here in the red light district for five days now, yet still no signs of Demons. The black-haired man gazed down at his clothes and wondered what Sabito will say if he sees him like this. Giyuu could still remember those four painful hours he spent with Uzui’s girlfriends as they dragged him off to shop for suitable clothes.
He was wearing two layers of tank tops. A plain black one underneath and a navy one with leopard prints on top. The black one was a size smaller than it should be, sticking uncomfortably tight against his skin with the navy tank top being a bit too big, causing the right strap to constantly slip off his pale shoulder.
Giyuu’s fingers itched to pull the strap back up, but every time he would remember Uzui’s girlfriends lecturing him how it’s supposed to be this way—just like the leather jacket he was half wearing. His arms were through the sleeves with the jacket itself pooling around his waist. For some reason, the girls had repeatedly told him not to pull the jacket over his shoulders. It was extremely awkward and very hard to move—which would be incredibly dangerous in battle. The leather pants sticking against his legs were also a huge restriction to his movement, matched with those tight boots and buckles.
Since his pants were rather low and his tank tops couldn’t cover much, his waist was revealed, showing off the beautiful abs and v-line disappearing into his pants.
If that wasn’t enough, his nails got painted blue to match his eyes and he even had to wear a black choker which Giyuu still sees as a collar. According to Uzui, this was a tracker so that his team would know his location at all time,
Giyuu heaved out a soft sigh and stepped outside.
He wasn’t the least bothered by the rain soaking into his body as he strolled down the quiet street. In one more hour, the brothels will be open for business and people will flood in. Giyuu walked over to the hydrangea garden at the center plaza. The hydrangeas were in full bloom during this season. The blue and purple flowers complemented each other beautifully as raindrops gently cleaned their petals.
He found this place on his second day of work. It was a good spot for him to relax and think. He reached out, about to touch a blue hydrangea when his senses went haywire.
Demon.
Giyuu’s eyes narrowed just by a small fraction, but his hands continued to reach out, not even faltering as he gently brushed his finger over the soft petals.
“My, my, what’s a lovely thing like you doing here?” A voice spoke behind him as shadows passed over Giyuu. The water droplets that had been hitting against his body disappeared.
Giyuu turned to see an ordinary-looking businessman, dressed in gray suits and holding a black umbrella over him to shield him from the rain.
Giyuu didn’t say anything and just stared impassively at the man.
“Are you lost?” The businessman inquired politely as if he seriously believed Giyuu was some innocent young man lost in the underground red-light district.
“I work here," Giyuu deadpanned, turning his head away.
“Oh?” The raven pretended not to notice the way the Demon’s eyes sparkled with amusement. “That must be harsh—pardon me, I shouldn’t say that. It’s just that you’re so charming that I couldn’t help but notice you. Where do you work? I’ll walk you back.”
“No need," Giyuu said curtly, stepping around the Demon as he walked away. While he never looked back at the Demon and acted like he didn’t care, Giyuu was actually focusing all his senses on him.
The Demon didn’t follow him. He acted casual, but Giyuu could feel the Demon’s gaze burning holes into his back.
Giyuu did not doubt that he will see him very soon.
After he returned to the brothel, he headed straight for his assigned room. He ignored the front desk lady who was too used to his cold shoulder to bother with him. He went up the stairs, passed by a couple of rooms with questionable sounds coming from behind closed doors, and shut himself inside his room.
It was only then that he relaxed just the slightest bit. He still couldn’t drop his guard, as there was no telling who might have come into his room or if this place has been bugged. For the hundredth time, Giyuu wanted to go home.
He missed the dorm he shared with Sabito.
He missed their bed that carried Sabito’s scent.
Most of all, he missed Sabito.
Giyuu slowly sat down on the corner of the room. It was the only place he ever used in this room, whether it was to sleep or eat. Never once did he touch any of the furniture within this small, confined space.
Giyuu pulled his knees up so he can rest his head. He closed his eyes, briefly wondering what Sabito was doing before deciding to get some rest.
Tonight will be busy.
✼ ҉ ✼ ҉ ✼ ҉ ✼ ҉ ✼ ҉ ✼
No one dared to speak.
Never has the Water Breathe users been so terrified of their Hashira. To them, Sabito has always been a mentor and an older brother figure. The Water Division has always been proud of their Hashira because unlike all other Hashiras, Sabito was normal gentle.
He treated his subordinates kindly. He taught them everything they needed to know. And most of all, he was extremely responsible in his work. Unlike some of the Hashiras that pushed all their paper works to their underlings, Sabito never did any of that. He was dutiful and efficient in everything he does.
Yes, their Hashira was the best.
Kind, strong and wise—except he was currently oozing bloodlust as he stood over his mahogany desk, glaring at the materials they’ve been ordered to steal gather from the Sound Division.
Makomo was perhaps the only one unaffected. Then again, rarely anything affects her. She was smiling—humming even—as if the entire situation was completely unrelated to her.
Never has the Water Breathe users wanted to beat up the Sound Hashira like they were doing in their hearts right now. What in the world was he thinking?! Why the heck did he make their second-in-command go undercover in a brothel of all places?! If they were capable, they would charge into the Sound Division just to give Uzui Tengen a piece of their minds!
Of all Water Breathe users, Tanjirou—their latest addition—had it the worst. Due to his sensitive nose, he was pretty much drowning in Sabito’s rage. The poor boy had to be supported by his sister who was also somewhat affected by the pressure Sabito was giving out.
Sabito wasn’t livid anymore.
There was no longer any words to describe the heat bubbling through his veins as he stared down at the pictures taken of Giyuu from the past couple of days. Giyuu who was dressed in all types of flimsy clothing he had never in his life wore before, living in a sex house and being eyed by men like a product.
Sabito had to use all his strength to hold himself back just from charging back into the Sound Division and giving Uzui another round of beating.
“Murata.” Despite the anger, Sabito still managed to speak so calmly. If the Water Breathe users didn't know their Hashira well, they would have all been fooled.
“Y-yes!” Murata was nearly in tears just from being called out. In his hast he almost dropped the laptop he was clenching onto.
“What is the current intel the Sound Division has gathered?”
“Yes!” Murata shouted as he looked down at his laptop. He stared at the screen of data coming from the Sound Division that he had secretly hacked into, praying desperately that the Sound Division hasn't noticed yet. If they throw up a firewall and kicks him out of their server, who knows what Sabito might do!
“The last information was sent an hour ago! G-Giyuu-san has made contact with one of the Demons. It’s very likely the Demons will make their move on him tonight!”
"Good," Sabito whirled around as the Water Breathe users shuddered at the calm and composed look on his face because they all knew Sabito was nowhere near calm or composed. “Makomo.”
“Yes, Sabito?” Makomo replied in that sweet and airy voice of hers, beautiful emerald eyes smiling up at her Hashira.
“Take care of the people from the Sound Division. There’s no need to worry about the Sound Hashira. He won’t be able to move tonight.”
What the heck did you do to the Sound Hashira?—was the thought flowing through all of their minds except Makomo and Tanjirou who was the witness to the crime scene.
“Tanjirou, Nezuko.”
“Yes!” The Kamado siblings straightened up at being called.
“You two will accompany me in tonight’s hunt. We leave in an hour. Murata, keep us updated with Giyuu’s location and status. Send Makomo the locations of the Demon Slayers from the Sound Division.”
“Yes sir!”
Sabito waved his hand, a signal of dismissal and all the Demon Slayers filed out, leaving Sabito to stand alone in his office. The man leaned back against his desk, swiping a picture of Giyuu and held it up over his head.
A small frown tugged on the man’s lips as silver eyes stared at the picture of the blue-eyed man standing next to the glowing red lantern in the night. Whoever took this picture had taken it high up in a building across the street.
Giyuu’s long black hair was brushed over his shoulder, a black chocker on his neck and wearing a crimson t-shirt with the collar so big it was sliding off his shoulders, showing off his defined collar bones. The raven’s ripped jeans seemed to hug his legs so tightly that Sabito doubt he could even bend down. And worst…Sabito could even see the edges of Giyuu’s underwear sticking out.
It was red.
Giyuu never wore or own red underwear.
The raven had his arms crossed, leaning against the doorframe with cornflower blue eyes gazing off into the distance. Sabito would have laughed at how the Giyuu in the picture was dozing off if not for the situation he was in. The warm light from the lanterns wrapped around his lithe frame, making him all the more eye-catching as well as giving him a delicate feature that only Sabito knew of.
Sabito felt like there was a tidal wave crashing around inside him, pushing his organs left and right.
He sighed, leaning his head back as he slowly closed his eyes.
“What should I do with you…Giyuu?”
✼ ҉ ✼ ҉ ✼ ҉ ✼ ҉ ✼ ҉ ✼
Night came faster than Giyuu had anticipated.
He had only gotten three hours of sleep before he was woken up by a sharp knock at the door and order to get to work.
Giyuu wasn’t liked by the workers at the brothel—not that he intended to be liked. He was only here for the mission. The raven walked down the street, ignoring the burning gazes of various men as their eyes raked over his body, accessing him like some sort of goods.
It was time to bring customers back to the brothel.
Giyuu tucked his hands in his pocket, feeling around the small bags of drugs hidden there. These drugs were given to him by Uzui, made by none other than Shinobu. Every time Giyuu finds a customer, he could bring them back into his room before smacking the entire pack of drug into their faces to send them off into dreamland.
The Sound Hashira did mention something about letting them drink it, but Giyuu found this method more efficient. With the help of the drugs, these people would hallucinate and believed they really had sex, leaving the brothel next day extremely satisfied and gave Giyuu enough tips to get him on the owner’s good grace.
Giyuu stopped upon feeling an arm snaking around his waist, grimy hands slipping under his tank tops to feel his skin.
It was disgusting.
“How much for a night, pretty boy?” Foul breath reached his nose.
Everything about this man was repulsive.
The touch, the sound, the smell…it was all wrong.
Sabito…
Giyuu spoke a price.
The man was delighted.
As easy as that, a deal has been struck.
The man pulled Giyuu close, muttering dirty promises into his ears, causing Giyuu to tilt his head away as the stench of alcohol wrapped around him. He closed his eyes, mentally counting to hold back the urge to lead this man into an alleyway and just knock him out.
It was at this moment that Giyuu felt it—the presence of Demons.
They’re here.
He kept his eyes closed, acting as normal as possible as he felt the slimy hand gliding up his skin—edging towards his chest.
One moment the hand was still there, the next, it was gone along with the man’s presence. Giyuu snapped opened his eyes just as he was pulled into a different embrace. The raven breathed into the fresh minty scent rolling off the clothes pressed against him. A normal person might be swooned by the delicacy of the person holding them, but if anything Giyuu was more disguised.
He felt nauseous.
Giyuu didn’t have Tanjirou’s sense of smell. He couldn’t sniff out the difference between human and Demons, but he could feel the Demon’s presence. It was a revolting feeling, like insects crawling in the layer between his skin and flesh. Being held within a Demon’s arms was more nauseating than any drunkard.
Right now, he wanted nothing more than to run a blade right through this Demon’s neck.
If only he had his sword…
“We meet again.” The Demon’s soft voice spoke. Giyuu looked up and just as he thought, it was the Demon from earlier. Beside him were two other Demon males. One looked more like the punk type with long wavy blond hair and the other looked rather shaggy with bushy beard.
The bearded Demon was gripping onto the drunkard, whispering something to him that had the man stumble away in fright.
“These are my friends.” The businessman Demon introduced with a perfect smile when he saw Giyuu eyeing his two other companions.
Giyuu didn’t say anything. He stepped out of the Demon’s arm and turned, about to leave when his wrist was caught. Giyuu looked up at the punk Demon.
“Now, now, we’re sorry for ruining your date.” He said with an arrogant smirk. “As compensation, how about you spend a night with the three of us?”
Giyuu stared at him for a long time before slowly nodding. The man whistled, wrapping an arm around Giyuu and pulling him against his body.
“Fuck you smell so good.”
Giyuu jolted when the man buried his face into his head and inhaled hard.
The raven was barely holding back his disgust as he brought the three Demons to his brothel. They needed to dispose of them away from the eyes of public and their bodyguards. The best way to do that in such a crowded red-light district was in one of the brothel rooms.
Giyuu was certain Uzui and his subordinates were waiting for them already.
This wasn’t the way the Water Division worked, but the Sound Division has always been trained in assassination more than face to face combat, so this method was the best for them.
Giyuu had to force himself to calm down when he felt a tongue running up his neck. If only he has his sword, he would behead this demon right here and now.
Sabito…
Giyuu frowned at the thought of his lover.
Really, he should never have taken Uzui’s request. Hashira’s order or not, he wasn’t part of the Sound Division, he has no obligation to listen to him. If Sabito was to find out, he would be extremely angry, wouldn’t he?
“Oh my, Sasaki-san! How wonderful it is to see you visiting us again!” The owner of the brothel ran up to welcomed the four of them the moment they stepped through the entrance. “I see you have found Yukio-chan! Such good eyes you have! Yukio-chan here is our latest addition! He’s been very popular with our guests!”
“Your name is Yukio?” The punk Demon purred as he licked the shell of the raven’s ear.
“Such a lovely name for a lovely person as yourself.” The businessman Demon hummed as he dropped a card into the owner’s hand. “We’ll take him.”
“Of course, Sasaki-san!” The owner was smiling so wide her lips were practically splitting her face apart as she ran the card through the card machine.
“Yukio-chan, show our guests to the room, be sure to treat them well! I will have someone bring some appetizers and drink to you!”
“No need.” The gruff Demon snapped impatiently, reaching out to snatch Giyuu from his companion’s arms and sniffed him loudly. “Fuck, I already can’t wait.” He licked his lips, beard scratching over the raven’s pale skin and leaving red markings. He was practically running his hands all over the young male.
Giyuu closed his eyes, trying to hold down his anger before he stepped forward despite the hands all over his body.
The journey to his room felt like an eternity. More than once, Giyuu would be forced to stop, pushed against the walls as hungry lips attacked his throat. Many times these demons tried to claim his lips, but Giyuu had avoided all those attempts.
He pushed off the gruff Demon, muttering quietly about going into his room to escape their clutches. The Demons weren’t put off by his reluctance. If anything, they were only getting more and more excited.
Uzui wasn’t wrong when he told Giyuu to act like himself and the Demons will fall for him.
The moment Giyuu opened the door to his rooms, he was all but thrown onto the bed he had avoided touching ever since arriving at the brothel. Immediately, he was crushed under a large body with something hard pressed against his stomach.
His heart pounded as something he kept neglecting finally sank in.
It was fear.
It wasn’t the fear of possible death, but the fear of being touched any more than he already had been. Giyuu was about to push the man off when his wrists were grabbed and pinned over his head.
Azure blue stared as the demon's face distorted, losing that human appearance and becoming the Demon he was all too familiar of. His long tongue snaked out, licking Giyuu across the face, edging closer and closer to his lips when a foot suddenly slammed into the side of the Demon’s face.
It was as if time had slowed for that very moment.
Giyuu watched with wide, unblinking eyes as a black combat boot he was all too familiar with shattered the demon’s skull—distorting the entire shape of the demon’s head. As the demon was sent flying into the air and off of Giyuu, there was a flicker of silver light, moving so fast that the other two Demons didn’t even know what had happened.
Giyuu saw it clearly though.
That flicker of light was from a katana, running smoothly through the demon’s neck.
And that familiar colour and shape the blade…Giyuu only knew one person who wields it other than himself.
A leather-gloved hand grabbed Giyuu by the elbow, pulling up and secured him against the familiar black and navy coat that was not the Sound Division’s, but the Water Division’s uniform.
Giyuu’s heart was racing as the salty ocean scent of his lover filled his nose.
Sabito.
Sabito was here.
“Sa—”
“Quiet, Giyuu.” Sabito voice was as cold as ice.
It was as if a bucket of cold water was dumped over his head, washing away the heat that started seeping through his body. Giyuu didn’t even dare to look up, fearing the expression he might see on Sabito’s face.
It also reminded him that if Sabito was here, then that means he must have seen everything.
“Fucking Demon Slayers!” The other two Demons snarled when they saw the Demon Slayer uniforms all Demons were made to be aware of as well, as well as the Nichirin blade that could end their lives.
Before they could react, two more people dropped down from the hole in the roof. One was a red-haired boy and the other a black-haired girl. Both youths were clad in the Water Division uniforms as they drew their swords.
“Water Breathe Fourth Form: Striking Tide!”
“Water Breathe Fourth Form: Water Wheel!”
Just from the sound, Giyuu knew the battle was over. Taken by surprise, the Demons couldn’t even react in time and just like that, their lives had ended.
Giyuu heard the rustling sound of clothes before Sabito removed the coat of his uniform and wrapped it around his body. This also reminded the raven how unsightly he must look right now.
Sabito didn’t say anything as he hooked an arm under Giyuu’s knees, sweeping the raven off his feet and holding him within his arms.
“Tanjirou, Nezuko, I will leave the rest to the two of you," Sabito ordered. Without waiting for a response, he disappeared from the room.
The entire way back to the headquarters, Sabito and Giyuu didn’t exchange a single word.
The moment they got back, the first thing Sabito did was go to their dorm. As Hashira, Sabito’s dorm was naturally bigger and more luxurious than the rest. While it’s still considered a dorm, it was more like a condo.
They have a wide bathroom with a large tub. While it couldn’t be compared to the public bathhouse, it was more than enough.
Despite Sabito’s rage, Giyuu found himself placed in the bathtub gently before warm water sprayed over his head.
“Don’t move.” Sabito’s tone was demanding as Giyuu froze. The raven stared at his feet, not daring to look up as Sabito began to lather his neck with soap.
So he has seen everything.
Sabito’s touch was soft as usual despite how much Giyuu wished he could just rub his skin raw to get rid of the disgusting feeling. In fact, that’s probably why Sabito was doing it…because as much as Sabito hated the idea of other beings—men or Demons—leaving their marks on Giyuu, he hated the idea of Giyuu getting hurt more.
Giyuu stared at the hands moving his view, noticing how the long sleeve of Sabito’s uniform was getting wet. He wanted to say something but decided against it.
After all, what could he say in a situation like this?
There was no excuse behind his actions. Job or not, he went to work at a red light district while his lover was away on a business trip without even telling him.
“Close your eyes.”
Giyuu obeyed and felt a soft towel rubbing over his face, carrying the fresh scent of soap. After that, Sabito pulled down the showerhead to wash the soap off the raven’s face.
“Here, you can wash the rest can’t you, Giyuu?” Sabito put the towel into his lover’s hands. Despite sounding like a question, it was really a command.
Giyuu nodded mutely, still not daring to look up. Sabito sat on the edge of the tub for a little longer before he walked out of the bathroom.
“I don’t want to see any part of your skin scrubbed red.” Those were his parting words before the bathroom door closed, giving Giyuu his privacy.
Despite how angry Sabito must be, how could he still be so gentle?
Giyuu buried his face into his knees as warm water continued to splash over his body.
Thirty minutes later, Giyuu slowly walked out of the bathroom. He was dressed in a large, maroon t-shirt and baggy black sweat pants that Sabito had kindly left on the counter for him. Giyuu never had these clothes before, and he was certain Sabito didn’t have these either. They seemed new and the fabrics were unusually soft against his skin.
Giyuu didn’t need to think to know that Sabito must have gotten these for him during his time in Korea.
The raven’s heart swelled with shame. Even in Korea, Sabito had been thinking about him and yet he…
Ocean blue eyes glanced across the room, landing on the man with coral pink hair sitting on the edge of their bed, looking through reports.
This was Giyuu’s first time seeing Sabito’s face after in two weeks.
His face was carefully blank with silvery gray eyes concentrating on the papers in his hand. However, Giyuu knew that Sabito was not even looking at those documents at all. His eyes were too distant and his posture too stiff.
Sabito didn’t look up as Giyuu slowly approached him. He didn’t even look up when Giyuu stopped right in front of him. He just turned to the next page and continued reading.
Giyuu felt more and more insecure as time went by. He opened his mouth, but he couldn’t even utter his lover’s name with how hard his lips were trembling.
Being ignored by Sabito of all people hurts.
He hated this feeling, but he got no right to complain.
“I’m sorry.” Giyuu finally mustered the courage to speak. Even his voice was trembling. “I’m sorry, Sabito.”
Sabito finally moved. He tilted his head back, looking up at Giyuu with eyes that seemed to have the power to suck his soul in.
“Sorry for what, Giyuu? You’ve done an excellent job in assisting the termination of three high ranked Demons. There’s nothing for you to be sorry of.”
It hurts.
It hurts so much to hear Sabito speak to him in such aloof tone. There wasn’t even the slightest bit of sarcasm in his voice. It’s like Sabito was sincerely stating a fact.
Giyuu stopped thinking for the first time in his life and acted on impulse. He threw himself against Sabito, wrapping his arms tightly around the other man’s neck and buried his face into his shoulder.
“I’m sorry…I should have talked to you. I shouldn’t have done this without consulting with you first. So please don’t ignore me, Sabito. I won’t do it ever again so…”
Sabito sighed. His arms came up, wrapping around Giyuu and flipped them around.
Giyuu hit the bed softly with Sabito on top of him, holding him so tightly that a normal human’s bone would probably crack from the sheer force. But to Giyuu, Sabito’s hug was so warm he could just melt into it.
"I'm angry, Giyuu," Sabito said through gritted teeth as he buried his face into the raven’s pale neck. “Do you have any idea how I felt when I got the news of you working undercover at a brothel taking in customers? Do you have any idea what I felt when I saw those demons running their hands and tongues over you? Giyuu I—do you have any idea how hurt I am when you left me in the dark?!”
“I know…I’m so sorry, Sabito," Giyuu whispered. "I hated it…I don't like feeling anyone else touching me. I never let them get far, I—!"
“This isn’t a matter of how far they went! They touched you! You put yourself in a position for other men to touch you!” Sabito shouted, pulling back as Giyuu saw the rage and bitterness mixed on his face. “And those clothes you wore—damn it Giyuu!”
That was the only warning Giyuu had before Sabito smashed their lips together. The raven gasped in surprise when Sabito’s tongue pushed its way inside his mouth, moving so violently it was as if he was being swept away by a tsunami.
The raven couldn’t do anything but shake within his lover’s tight arms as his mouth was ravished.
This was the first time Sabito had ever been so forceful.
Giyuu shivered when he felt large hands slipped into his pants and cupped his butt cheeks. They kneaded and squeezed the flesh while Sabito kissed him like a starved man. As Demon Slayers, their lung capacities were far greater than humans. However, even Giyuu couldn’t hold on from the onslaught of his Hashira.
Ten minutes later, he was practically drained. His lungs burned in pain and as if knowing that, Sabito allowed their lips to separate with a wet pop. The pink-haired man’s tongue was the last to withdraw from his mouth before he latched onto Giyuu’s neck, kissing and marking his skin like a painter painting over an empty canvas.
Giyuu let out a small gasp when the hands gripping his butt pulled him upward, causing his front to press into Sabito’s. The raven trembled. Through the soft fabric of their pants, Giyuu could feel the shape of Sabito’s cock and the heat radiating off it. When Sabito slid their hips to fit together better, he had to hold down a moan as pleasure jolted through his body.
“S-Sabito…!”
“I’m sorry, Giyuu, but I won’t wait. I can’t.” Sabito breathed hotly into his ears before Giyuu felt his pants and underwear pulled down his legs.
He was then flipped around, face planting into the pillow as his hips were pulled up and held by firm hands.
Giyuu could hear the sound of bottle being unscrewed and instantly knew it was lotion. He bit down on his lower lip when cold fingers slipped inside of him. Usually, Sabito would warm up the lotion in his hands first, but it seemed Sabito had meant it when he said that he won't wait.
Giyuu panted into the pillow, burying his face inside as those fingers moved around inside him, checking to see if he was loose enough. Sabito’s fingers were quick to slide out before Giyuu felt the thick member rubbing against his entrance.
A soft wheeze was all that left his lips as Sabito began pushing himself inside. Giyuu shook as he felt the familiar shape of his lover smoothly sliding into his body until Sabito’s balls were pressed snugly against his ass.
“…!” Giyuu gritted his teeth, holding back a moan when Sabito experimentally rolled his hips.
“Giyuu.” Sabito suddenly called his name as his body draped over Giyuu’s. Their bodies slid against one another as Sabito overlapped his hands with Giyuu’s and laced their fingers tightly together. “Tell me, how many.”
“…What?” Giyuu panted weakly, already short of breath.
“I want—I need to know. Please Giyuu, how many men touched you?”
“I—ah?!” Because his mouth had opened to speak, Giyuu couldn’t contain the yelp that jumped out of his throat when Sabito thrust in him again. “Sabit—ngh!”
“How many, Giyuu.”
“F-four!” Giyuu wheezed. “J-just four…one…ahn…a day…!”
“And?” Sabito snapped his hip forward as Giyuu whimpered beneath him. “Do they all touch you the same way as the ones today?”
Giyuu’s mind wasn’t that far gone yet, so he keenly caught Sabito’s choice of words.
As the ones today?
Sabito didn’t specifically say Demons, which meant Sabito had also seen him on the street with that drunkard. His lover has seen the process of how he hooked up with other men…and yet there was nothing Sabito could do about it. Not without ruining the operation and endangering humans.
Shame and guilt filled Giyuu as he buried his face into the pillow. He gripped the bedsheets, which in turn tightened their fingers that were still laced together.
The raven's silence and action were more than enough answer for Sabito.
Goosebumps crawled over his skin upon feeling the change in Sabito’s aura. Before Giyuu could think about it, Sabito was pistoling in and out of him so fast that Giyuu couldn’t even hold back his voice.
Giyuu was never vocal in bed.
If anything, he barely makes a sound. No matter how good Sabito made him felt, he would always hold his voice in because he didn’t want to look unsightly in front of Sabito.
Sabito had only questioned about this one time. Even after he assured Giyuu that he could never look unsightly or how he would never hate his voice, Giyuu just couldn’t do it. Sabito was never bothered by this. After all, whether Giyuu wanted to let out his voice or not was his choice. All he ever wanted was to pamper and spoil his cute boyfriend.
The pink-haired man once told Giyuu that he enjoyed listening to Giyuu’s breathings. He loved listening to the different changes in his lover’s breaths. He even memorized every pitch and tempo. Sabito could tell how good Giyuu was feeling just from listening to the pattern of Giyuu’s breathing.
Their sex life had always been gentle and unhurried. Holding back his voice might have been hard, but never impossible like right now. Giyuu wailed as Sabito fucked him into the mattress, using strength he had never used in any of their lovemaking before.
Each time the man’s balls slapped against his ass, Giyuu would be pushed forward from the force before Sabito jerked him back. Throughout that, he never once saw Sabito’s face. This made him extremely insecure as this was the first time they had sex without facing each other.
“Sa—Sabito…please ngh…l-let me…let me see you…!” Giyuu pleaded. He wanted to see Sabito so bad. He didn’t like this position despite the intense pleasure wrecking his body. He wanted to see Sabito so bad.
Unfortunately, Sabito didn’t listen. He didn’t even respond.
His movement got rougher and rougher, slamming into his prostate repeatedly as tears prickled the corner of Giyuu’s eyes.
With a half scream, half moan, Giyuu came. His seeds shot out, splattering against the mattress as Sabito tightened his hands over his. With a few more thrusts, Sabito plunged himself deep inside and with a low grunt, Giyuu felt burning hot fluid flooding into his body.
His body was shaking uncontrollably as he lay against the pillow, struggling to control his breathing.
Giyuu felt the hands gripping his slowly loosened before sliding away. He felt those hands taking each side of his hips, applying a bit of pressure as Sabito carefully began easing himself out of him.
Giyuu’s breathing hitched as Sabito did so. When his lover’s cock was completely out of him, he felt an uncomfortable emptiness and longing to feel his lover back inside. He closed his eyes, the unshed tears latching onto his dark eyelashes as he used his breath to calm himself back down.
A warm hand touched his shoulder, making Giyuu open his eyes as Sabito nudged him onto his back.
Giyuu blinked at the blinding light from the ceiling. When Giyuu finally saw Sabito’s face that was just inches away from his. The raven froze, completely forgetting his need for air.
Sabito hovered over Giyuu. His brows were furrowed as he gazed down at Giyuu with a sad smile on his face. A hand gently touched his face, fingers brushing away the extra moisture in his eyes before Sabito dipped his head to press their foreheads together.
“I’m sorry, Giyuu," Sabito whispered as his breath tickled Giyuu’s face. “I didn’t want you to see me like this. I just…”
Sabito couldn’t finish his words as he wrapped Giyuu into a tight hug and buried his face into his hair.
Giyuu was shocked by Sabito’s action. With his head tucked under Sabito’s jaw, he couldn’t see anything, but just from Sabito’s tone, Giyuu knew that his lover was feeling insecure…scared even. These were emotions Giyuu had never seen on Sabito before. He never even considered the possibility that Sabito could feel it. Even in the Final Selection when they faced Demons for the very first time, Sabito hadn’t shown any fear.
“I was scared, Giyuu.” Sabito finally admitted. “You’re strong. Even without your sword, I know you can protect yourself be it from Demons or humans. But when I saw you wearing all those exposing clothes and letting them run their hands—lips—all over you, I…!!”
Sabito paused. His lips were still parted, but no more words came through. He seemed conflicted, as if he wasn't sure whether or not he should say it to Giyuu. His silver eyes were also swirling with uncertainly—something that Giyuu also never seen on Sabito before.
Then after a long time, Sabito finally whispered out the last part of his sentence.
“…I wanted to kill them.”
That was no joke or exaggeration.
Sabito truly wanted to kill anyone that had violated his lover—even if it was simple touching. He was scared for Giyuu…as well as scared of himself. This was the first time he came so close to losing himself to rage. That was why he had brought Tanjirou and Nezuko with him. He needed someone to act as an anchor for him—to remind him of his responsibility as a Hashira and a Demon Slayer. Had he not brought them with him, he would most likely lose himself and do unspeakable things to those Demons that Oyakata will never approve of.
Worst of all, he might have done it in front of Giyuu…
Sabito was pulled from his thought when he felt Giyuu’s arms wrapped around him, giving him a firm squeeze.
“I’m sorry," Giyuu mumbled against his neck. “I…”
Giyuu thought back to the feeling of those hands roaming over his body and the tiny bit of fear he experienced at the time.
“I was scared.” He said quietly, feeling Sabito’s arms tightened around him. “When they were touching me, I was more afraid of their touches than the possibility of them killing me. But you came for me. Thank you, Sabito.”
“…Just promise me to never do that again, Giyuu?” Sabito sighed, voice much calmer now.
Giyuu responded with a small nod.
They stayed like that until Sabito locked their lips in a tight kiss.
Giyuu shivered when he felt Sabito’s tongue licking across his lips, requesting permission to enter. He didn’t hesitate to part his mouth, welcoming the tongue that slid inside and began playing around with his.
Sabito’s hands—calloused from the years of wielding swords—slid down the curves of his body, hooking onto the back of his left knee and hiked it over his hip. The gesture surprised Giyuu, causing him to gasp into his lover’s mouth before that gasp morphed into a long moan as Sabito’s hard cock slid back into his body.
“S-Sabito…” Giyuu pulled back with a thin thread of saliva stretching between their moist and kiss swollen lips.
“Sorry, Giyuu.” Sabito nestled himself inside that delicious heat. “But I can’t hold back.”
“Then don’t. There’s no need to hold back...” Giyuu shuddered, turning his face away to hide his embarrassment, only for Sabito to guide his head back by the chin.
“Let me see your face," Sabito said softly as he rested his palm against Giyuu’s cheek. The adoration within his silver eyes turned into sadness as he brought Giyuu closer.
“I’m sorry about before…did it hurt Giyuu? I know I was rough on you, I’m really—”
“No.” Giyuu leaned against Sabito’s touch. “It felt good. You’re always gentle, Sabito.”
Sabito frowned, silver eyes searching Giyuu’s face until he was certain there was no trace of lies anywhere in his words. And then, Sabito began to move. He rocked slowly against Giyuu, causing the raven to suck in a sharp breath of air.
“Sa…Sabi—…” Giyuu panted, grasping the wrist of the hand on his cheek. It was the only thing he could think of holding onto as his breathing started to become a mess all over again.
“I know…” Sabito groaned, leaning forward until their noses were lightly touching. “Ngh…You feel so good, Giyuu.”
Giyuu’s cheeks heated up at the compliment. Sabito always knew exactly how to set him off. It wasn’t fair.
“Giyuu?” Sabito’s eyes widened when Giyuu suddenly pulled his hand away from his face and grabbed him by the shoulder. With a burst of strength, the raven turned Sabito onto his back and seated himself on top of him. Both men had to fight down a moan as Sabito’s cock slipped deeper into Giyuu.
The raven was trembling hard with half-lidded eyes swirling with desire.
“Giyuu, you don’t need to—!” Sabito was cut off when Giyuu tried to lift himself. The Hashira’s hands instantly flew up to catch the raven by his hips. “Giyuu!”
“I want to do this," Giyuu said so quietly that Sabito almost didn’t hear him. “Please Sabito, let me do this.”
Sabito stared at Giyuu with wide eyes before he slowly lay back down. His hands still rested on those pale, boney hips, but they were no longer gripping Giyuu’s hips to restrict his movement.
“Just…tell me any time you’re tired—or when you want to stop," Sabito instructed him. As an afterthought, he grabbed his coat lying at the bedside and threw it over Giyuu’s shoulders.
Sabito was honestly just thinking about Giyuu’s wellbeing. Their room temperature wasn’t that high, and Giyuu’s naked. He just wanted to find something to provide him with some warmth. However, the visual was so mind-blowing that Sabito found himself blushing hard. The way his uniform hung off that beautiful, lithe body was incredible. The contract of Giyuu’s pale skin and the darkness of the coat were also amazing.
Sabito was certain he never had any weird kinks, but this came dangerously close.
“It’s…a bit cold…” Sabito stammered, trying hard to control himself while hoping that Giyuu didn’t feel the way his cock twitched inside him.
Rosy pink hue dusted over Giyuu’s pale cheeks. With that shy expression and beautiful blush on his usually stoic face, Giyuu looked enchanting. Sabito hurriedly swallowed the pool of saliva that had gathered in his mouth without him knowing.
Really, Giyuu will be the death of him one day.
“I-I’m…going to move.” Giyuu bashfully averted his eyes as the colours on his cheeks deepened.
“Y…yeah…” Sabito swallowed hard as Giyuu lifted himself, then slowly lower back down until he was fully seated on Sabito.
Both men shuddered at the sensation.
“Ah…” Giyuu couldn’t contain his voice. It was deep, too deep. He didn’t know if it was because he was taking the initiative first time or if it was because of this position, Sabito’s cock was going into places it had never reached before.
“Sabito….Sabito…” Giyuu chanted Sabito’s name as his movements gradually became fluid. His speed began to pick up and when he sank down at just the right angle, his eyes widened upon feeling Sabito’s cock digging right into his prostate.
Giyuu screamed.
Having cummed not too long ago, Giyuu’s body was naturally sensitive. Just the slight aim into his prostate was enough to have him cumming over Sabito’s abdomen. The raven breathed heavily, his heart beating so hard he felt like he could have a heart attack at any moment.
But he wasn’t done.
He still needed to get Sabito off.
The thought of Sabito was the only thing keeping him moving. Even when Sabito called out his name and tightened his hold on his hip to stop him, Giyuu continued to move on trembling legs.
Then finally, Giyuu saw that familiar expression on Sabito’s face. It looked like a wince—as if he was trying to hold something back but couldn’t. The grips on his hips tightened to the point where Giyuu could no longer move, so he did the only thing he could think of. He squeezed his muscles, clamping his walls around Sabito and pushing him across that final line.
“Giyuu!” Sabito came with a gasp of his lover’s name.
Giyuu moaned faintly as he felt another wave of heat flowing into him. Finally, without any strength to keep himself upright, he collapsed onto Sabito. Sabito caught him in his arms and pulled the blanket under them, wrapping them up within a cocoon as he held onto Giyuu tightly.
Sabito’s cock was still buried deep within him, but Giyuu didn’t mind. He wanted to feel Sabito longer. Although it had only been two short weeks, he dearly missed his Hashira. He smuggled into Sabito’s warm embrace.
It was always strange to him how making love with Sabito could drain so much of his strength when he can go an entire night hunting down Demons.
“Did…it felt good…Sabito?” Giyuu asked quietly, heart pumping as he nervously waited for a response.
Sabito chuckled, his voice practically vibrating off his body and into Giyuu’s. The pink-haired man dipped his head and kissed Giyuu right between the eyes.
“You’re amazing, Giyuu.” He breathed, pulling Giyuu even tighter against him.
Giyuu let out a small, comfortable sigh. Azure blue eyes fluttered open to look up at Sabito.
“Sabito.”
“Hm?”
“Welcome home.” Giyuu wrapped his arms around Sabito and snuggled against his chest, missing the way Sabito’s eyes widened before warmth and adoration filled those silver orbs.
“Yeah…” Sabito buried his face into Giyuu’s black hair. A small smile graced his lips. “I’m home.”

“Murata-san.” Tanjirou greeted as he walked into the surveillance room with Nezuko poking her head from the doorway. “Nezuko and I are going to the cafeteria for our lunch break, do you want to join us?”
“Ah, yes! I’ll go!” Murata said, shutting his laptop as he glanced up at all the security screens in the wall. He heaved out a heavy sigh he shoved his laptop into his bag.
“Were you busy?” Tanjirou frowned, hoping he didn’t intrude on Murata’s work.
“Oh, no!” Murata waved his hands. “I’m free! I’ll be free for a while...I think…”
The older man heaved out another sigh.
Tanjirou gave him a confused look, but didn’t question any further.
As Murata finished packing his things, he secretly prayed to anyone who would bother listening to him. Please do not let the Sound Hashira—or any Hashiras for that matter—find out that it was him who had been tattling them to Sabito.
He had no choice! It was the job Sabito gave him after all! Since Giyuu never says anything, Murata had to keep an eye on Giyuu through the headquarters’ security cameras and report to Sabito whenever he sees anything unusual—such as a Hashira talking to Giyuu.
If they ever find out…Murata shivered, not daring to think down that line. He hurriedly joined the Kamado siblings as they head for the cafeteria.

Warning(s): manga spoiler alert up ahead
Pairing(s): Tomioka Giyuu x female! reader
"What do you guys think? Do I look okay in this yukata?" Y/n shyly steps out of the room to show her two best friends, Shinobu and Mitsuri.
"Wahhh!!! Y/n, you look so beautiful that I couldn't even recognize you!" Mitsuri cries as she runs up to hug y/n very tightly in her arms.
While Mitsuri fawns and rubs her cheek against y/n's cheek, Shinobu wasn't that happy at all.
"If you ask me, I think that you're just too good for Giyuu. He doesn't even deserve you a bit!" Shinobu turns her head away, looking very unpleased.
"Don't be like that, Shinobu. He deserves to be loved just like anyone else, and I love him very much." Y/n couldn't help but gushes about how much she loves him.
"Okay, I get it! I get it. Don't say it anymore!" Shinobu cuts y/n off before she can start and declares her undying love for Giyuu. Shinobu finally gives y/n a smile.
"Come on, let's hurry, y/n! Giyuu's probably waiting for you right now!" Mitsuri gently tugs her out of the room.
"Hey! Don't forget to bring your sword, y/n!!! Who knows if there will be a demon out there during the festival!" Shinobu reminds her so that she doesn't forget just because she's on a date with Giyuu.
"Okay, I'll make sure to bring it with me!" Y/n quickly puts her sword away in a carrying bag and carries it along with her.
"Sorry for the wait, Giyuu!!!" Mitsuri calls out in a cheerful voice, as she drags y/n to him.
"Y/n. Be sure to tell me how your date with Giyuu went, okay?" Mitsuri softly whispers into y/n's ear before she leaves y/n all alone with Giyuu.
"You better take good care of her, Giyuu!!!" Mitsuri yells at him one last time as she leaves them all alone.
"Should we get going then, Giyuu?" Y/n asked him in a very bashful voice. "Hmm." Giyuu nods his head and they went on their way to the festival.
"The festival looks so beautiful! Look at all of those beautiful lanterns!" Y/n couldn't help it but be mesmerized by it.
"You look much more beautiful than all those lanterns," Giyuu mumbles in a quiet voice while watching her smiles. "Hmmm? Did you said something just now, Giyuu?" Y/n turns her head around to look at him.
"It's nothing. Please be careful, y/n." Giyuu gently pulls y/n to his side before someone can bump into her. "Oh! Sorry, Giyuu." She apologized.
"Let's hold hands before you get lost in the crowds." Giyuu timidly offers his hand to y/n. "Okay!" Y/n happily grabs onto Giyuu's hand as they begin walking.
Y/n smiles very bashfully as she steals a few glances of Giyuu. Giyuu's also trying not to show the enormous blush that is on his face as they continue to walk.
They stop by a few stalls here and there, to see what kind of items the stalls have. They went to the mask stall to tried out a few masks for fun.
Y/n wanted to see Giyuu wear a fox mask because she heard that Urokodaki gave one to Giyuu in the past. But of course, if he doesn't want to then, she won't force him.
After all, Giyuu didn't have many happy memories of his past. The fox mask will just remind him of how he lost his best friend named Sabito.
Giyuu didn't want to see y/n looking so sad, so he puts on the fox mask for her to see. Y/n smiles with glee when Giyuu wears the mask. They both then take turns wearing the masks, smiling and laughing at each other.
After they finally left the mask stall, y/n's stomach happens to growl. Giyuu turns to look at her. "I'm sorry, Giyuu! I was too occupied and worried about what to wear for our first date, that I forgot to eat something!" Y/n felt so embarrassed as she told Giyuu the truth.
"It's okay. Wait here for me, y/n. I'll get us something to eat." Giyuu leaves her by the mask stall and went to go to the food stall.
As y/n patiently wait for Giyuu to come back, her Kasugai crow came by and warns her about a demon nearby their area. The demon happens to escape the other demon slayers and went hiding somewhere in the festival.
The crow didn't give her details about the demon besides its location as it flews away. Giyuu also got the same warnings from his crow too. Even though it's their day off, they both split up and went to go find the demon.
As y/n scan the area looking for the demon, she happens to come across a lost child. "Are you okay, where are your parents?" Y/n walks up and stoop down to the little boy, looking very concerned.
"I was walking around with my parents until I run off to go look at the toy stall. By the time I turn around and look, my parents were gone." The boy cries as he tells her about what happened. Y/n hugs the little boy and pats his head trying to comfort him.
"Okay, how about I help you look for your parents? Sounds good?" Y/n tries to cheer him up. "Okay." The boy wipes away his tears and nods his head to her.
"My name is y/n, what's your name?" Y/n ask the boy. "My name is Hiroaki." The boy replies. "Okay, let's go look for your parents together, Hiroaki! I bet they're very worried about you right now!" Y/n hold Hiroaki's hand as they walk.
They went to every stall looking for the boy's parents, but they still haven't found them yet. The boy was looking around, until when he saw someone who looks like his father walking by.
"Father!!! Father, wait for me!!!" The boy let go of y/n's hand and runs off after that person into the crowds.
"Wait, Hiroaki!!! Don't just run off like that! It's not safe!" Y/n also runs after Hiroaki, making her way through the crowds. Hiroaki continues to follow that man, who looks like his father and is now heading towards the woods.
Y/n's panicking because what if the demon comes and attack the boy.
"Father, wait for me!" Hiroaki still chasing after the man. The man finally stops and turns around to face Hiroaki. "I finally found you, father! Where's mother?" Hiroaki finally stops and huffs as he catches his breaths.
"Father? Who are you calling father? Oh, wait. You're probably that man's son then?" The man laughs very sinisterly with fangs popping out as he makes his way towards Hiroaki.
Hiroaki is now very scared of the man, shaking with fear as the man slowly approaches him. "You're not my father, then who are you? Why do you look like him? Stay away from me, you monster!!!" Hiroaki backs away quickly, trying to create a gap between him and that man.
"Me, a monster? HAHAHA!!! That's right, I'm a monster! Or should I say a DEMON!!!" The demon transforms back into his original form and makes a dive at Hiroaki, trying to slash him with his sharp claws.
Y/n came right in time to unsheath her sword and deflect the demon's attack.
"Tsk!!! Another pesky demon slayer again?!" The demon jumps back away from y/n and clicks his tongue with irritations.
"Are you okay, Hiroaki?" Y/n stands in front of him, protecting him from the demon. "Y/n!!!" Hiroaki cries out in relief when he sees y/n.
Y/n quickly turns her head around to give Hiroaki a big smile, for a split second then she turns her attention back onto the demon.
"No wonder why you're able to escape from the other demon slayers. You're a shapeshifter demon." Y/n points her sword at the demon, getting into her fighting stance.
"Hiroaki, I want you to go hide behind that tree for me." Y/n quickly ushers Hiroaki to take cover, so that she can fight without worrying about him.
"Okay, y/n." Hiroaki nods his head and scrams away from the battleground so that he doesn't get in her way.
"Now, that's out of the way. Let's begin!" Y/n dash towards the demon, closing the distances between them.
"If you think that I can only shapeshift, then think again!!!" The demon changes his attack and uses a different blood technique to strike her down. He solidifies his blood before throwing them like needles at her.
Y/n quickly dodges and deflects them. She launches her attacks at the demon, but he blocks them by solidifying his blood and using it as a shield.
Y/n continues her barrage of attacks at all different angles, hoping to land an attack on the demon.
"For a non-breath user, you're pretty fast and quick. You have my applauses and my praise! But, playtime is over!!!" The demon then solidifies the blood on his arms and swings it at her.
Y/n manages to block the attacks, but she's no match for him in terms of physical strength. Y/n blocks another attack but got knocked off her feet.
"Let's end this!!!" The demon is about to deliver the final blow when someone comes right in between and deflects his attack, yet again. The person standing in front of her is no other than Giyuu.
"Giyuu!" Y/n calls out as he stands in front of her. "Sorry that I'm late. Are you okay, y/n?" Giyuu apologizes to her. "I'm okay. You came just in time to save me." Y/n stands back on her feet again, this time preparing to fight alongside with Giyuu.
"Be careful, Giyuu. This demon can shapeshift and solidify his blood. He can throw his blood like needles and uses them as a shield too." Y/n tells Giyuu about what she observed during her fight with the demon.
"Got it." Giyuu nods his head.
"ANOTHER DEMON SLAYER AGAIN?! WHY DO YOU GUYS KEEP ON SHOWING UP, ONE AFTER ANOTHER?!" The demon got even more enraged than before and charges at them.
Both Giyuu and y/n prepare for the next demon's attack. They both quickly dodge the attacks and perform a side slash to the demon's neck before he can do anything.
After the demon disintegrated, y/n signed in relief. "Hah, thank god we defeated the demon." Y/n wipes her forehead as Giyuu cleans his sword before putting it back in its sheath.
"You're not hurt, are you?" Giyuu walks up to her and checks for any injuries.
"I'm fine, just a few scratches only." Y/n shows him all of her scratches on her arms and legs.
"Thank goodness that I came just right in time, or else I don't know what am I going to do without you." Giyuu looks at her with a frightened expression.
"I'm fine because of you, Giyuu! Plus, I will never leave you behind, ever." Y/n gently held Giyuu within her arms. After reaffirming each other with their presence, they finally let go of one another.
"Hiroaki, you can come out now. The demon is gone." Y/n calls out to the boy to let him know that it's safe for him to come out.
The boy nervously comes out behind his hiding spot and approaches them.
"Are you okay, y/n? You're not hurt, are you?" The boy looks at y/n with full concerns. "I'm okay! I just got a few scratches here and there, but overall I'm okay!" Y/n shows her scratches to Hiroaki while smiling at him.
"Let's head back to the festival and find your parents again, shall we?" Y/n wipes her sword and puts it back in its sheath. Y/n then offers to hold Hiroaki's hand. They all make their way back to the entrance.
As soon as Hiroaki's parents saw them, they ran up to them. "Hiroaki!!!" His parents run up to hug him.
"Mother!!! Father!!!" Hiroaki cries in their arms. "Don't you ever dare wander off like that ever again!!!" They have finally reunited again.
"Thank you so much for taking care and looking after my son, y/n. We can't thank you enough." Hiroaki's parents were extremely thankful to her as they left.
Giyuu and y/n reported their success to their crows and sent them back to Oyakata-sama.
"All ends well! Shall we get back to the festival, Giyuu?" Y/n looks at Giyuu with a big smile. "Let's head back. I want to make it up to you for all the times that we lost during our date." Giyuu offers his hand to y/n and they continue their date once again, smiling together with hand in hand.

name : tomioka giyuu
nickname : i assume we’re not counting the ones sanemi & iguro have thought of ?
gender : cis male
romantic orientation : demi - Needs - to - Experiment & leans more to boys
preferred pet names : he’s Always awkward about them, no matter from who
relationship status : single, not quite ready to mingle, and way too Depressed
favorite canon / fandom ship : / * slaps giyuu with rengoku & uzui & sabito & Very Specifically only with amy’s muzan
favorite crossover ship : i mean so far i really only have katie’s kagari but god, i can’t believe the first person giyuu ever flirts with on this blog is a Canonical Dead Man
opinion on true love : ... [my] giyuu WANTS to believe that it exists but ultimately doesn’t. i think giyuu sees that there’s a difference between “true love” versus “genuine love”, yet the two Can be interchangeable but very heavily dependent on what work the relationship has put in already. i don’t think he believes in “love at first sight” or even like HALF of the romantic ideas misturi has running through her head because he believes Real Love is effort. he doesn’t adapt to the typical “oh hey we’re been on five dates already, so now you’re my girlfriend / boyfriend!” but rather finds it much more ideal / romantic(?) to just spend time with someone. give him memories he doesn’t have to feel so complicated about & can look back and smile naturally. no pressure to try impressing the other, no pressure to not seem too or not interested enough — just hang out with them and have a good time. i 99% believe giyuu is Always gonna be the second person to fall because he doesn’t think anyone’s ever really gonna see him as someone worth causing an emotional uproar for, depressed timeline or not. but if you honestly somehow get the curse of giyuu falling you first then i am So Damn Sorry for the road you’ll be enduring just to realize what he’s trying to convey.
opinion on love at first sight : oh fuck i ranted too hard. uh, literally just read the paragraph above please.
how ‘romantic’ are they? : he certainly isn’t the best nor the most ecstatic about romance in general, but his partner(s) will DEFINITELY feel their heart screaming so long as you recognize the efforts he puts into thing. he's much more of a “it’s about the details & little things that show importance” kinda guy.
ideal physical traits : don’t be a demon.
ideal personality traits : i don’t think his heart (and whatever’s suppose to be a brain in him up there) can handle tsunderes, anyone who can handle his silence & get a feel for whatever he tries conveying in As Little Words As Possible would definitely be a plus but That’s Gonna Require Work y’all, and uh ... i don’t think he has a type to begin with because you either Pass Or Fail his standards of giving a shit about in general. BUT this would be something he’d know if he just Experimented With People : he would so pick up the insecurity of his partner thinking he doesn’t care. as you go through the rest of this list, i Repeatedly state that his standards don’t exist (or at least they’re not anything specific) and if The Other thinks he no longer has an interest in them & if you basically don’t tell him Upfront about what’s wrong, he’ll go head - first into a spiral of anxiety overthinking Everything he’s done in like the past 72+ hours. as much as everyone can Totally see his depression & make memes out of it, his anxiety canonically is actually WORSE than his depression AND I’M SO SAD THAT NO ONE EVER SEEMS TO BRING THIS UP. don’t get me wrong, this isn’t a rom - drama series where Oh No, Misunderstandings Are Happening And Thus We’re Gonna Spend 3 Whole Episodes Just To Finish Part 1 but ... for someone who doesn’t like speaking a lot because of how much he KNOWS he sucks at holding a conversation, communication is like THE MOST IMPORTANT FACTOR to keep him and his mental health from drowning underneath.
unattractive physical traits : i’d be lying if i said He TOTALLY Doesn’t Care because That’s Like Asking A(n Actually Good) Mother To Pick Her Favorite (Actually Decent) Child. but so long as he gets to know you Personally will your personality outshine however you look like.
unattractive personality traits : i mean just don’t be a dick
ideal date : so long as it has a “netflix & chill” kinda vibe with the person he’s spending time with, he doesn’t really care.
do they have a type? : i just said “don’t be a dick”.
average relationship length : / * gestures @ sabito I JOKE but uh, nah, he’s the kind of person who takes FOREVER to start with & travels rather slowly with. but that also means he’s the kind of guy who’ll latch on for Life (i mean unless something happens that causes for the relationship to break one way or another but uh Yeah)
preferred non-sexual intimacy : just enjoy the moment & the time you get together. even a simple Take - Out / Leftovers For Dinner (Because We’re Too Tired To Cook) date would be enough. (except shopping. never drag him out for a shopping date)
commitment level : he’ll be a real damn piece of work but if you stick with him, you’ll be rewarded with a lifetime with this loser (i mean if that’s really what you want your endgame to be but Alright)
opinion of public affection : instead more like “secret but in public” kinds of affection. like, holding two fingers onto the other person’s fingers discreetly. or hovering your finger(s) from his shoulder to his collarbone to his neck and then for a second Almost tipping / holding at his chin only to naturally Yet Quickly draw your whole hand away from him. YEA H !!! but yeah nothing like Kissing In The Mall or he’s gonna be way too embarrassed and you can drive yourself home then, dammit.
past relationships? : NO MATTER THE VERSE, I LOVE THE IDEA OF SABITO BEING SOMEONE HE ONCE FELL IN LOVE WITH. whether the relationship ends up with sabito dead or they Return To Being JUST Friends, it’s a really nice experience to slap on him if i can just so he’s not Completely Oblivious. (and also potentially for Angst Factors and/or depending how Vital that point in his life may become)
tagged by : @ainoken ! tagging : @flmbynt , @danceablaze , @anroji , and @galebreath . if anyone else wants to ponder long about this then i enable u to do it, you cowards .
