i been having wint thoughts related to an actual thing that happened to me at work a couple years back

i was in the mens dept doing something work related

this woman ive never met before was like 'are you autistic?' n i was like 'yea why' and she tells me that she was looking for tshirts for her daughter and how she prefers the mens tshirts

and i was 'oh same actually, they are less restrictive and fit comfier, also cooler designs on em usually'

and she was like 'oh i thought so!' or something

and then thats the last i remember of the situation..

so im putting her in a similar conversation in my mind (but shes the customer) and is recommended a book (probably have it somewhere in idyllshire) to check out and it explains a bunch and shes like 'woa thats me fr' and immediately lends it to both sylb (mum) and chilli (best friend)

and also because of this and the whole shadowbringers situation both thancred and y'shtola get more protective and insistant that she is told upfront what she is signing up for when she agrees to a thing (because i am very good at: 'want to do x?', 'sure!' ... 'wait what exactly am i doing? i thought it was this? no oh okay..')

Ahh, I’d love a Shen Yuan transmigrates as Liu Qingge fic, but can’t bear the thought of Liu Qingge being erased from the world…

I’ve thought up a solution though!

Liu Qingge is about 16-ish years older than his younger sister, Liu Mingyan, right? Well perhaps his parents are also cultivators… or maybe they just had Liu Qingge very young. Either way, there is surely the possibility of them having another little one after Liu Mingyan!

What if after Shen Yuan transmigrates, the original Liu Qingge ends up being born to his parents a second time (either as Liu Mingyan’s younger brother, or as her fraternal twin).

I’m imagining Shen Yuan transmigrating sometime during Liu Qingge’s disciple days, shortly before poor Liu Qingge’s second conception. He’s quite baffled to find himself gaining a little brother to go along with the little sister he actually expected.

By the time the story finally gets around to including Binghe, I picture the younger Liu brother regularly beating off his older brother’s suitors with a stick. He and Liu Mingyan have a long standing feud over whether their da-ge should actually be allowed to get a boyfriend or not. 😂

Once Binghe’s crush is in full swing, he also ends up feuding with the littlest Liu over his brother’s attention. Luo Binghe eventually starts to call him ‘xiao shu’ (husband's younger brother) just to annoy him. Shen Yuan being Shen Yuan, he assumes it’s because the original goods is not only Binghe’s shidi but also the younger brother of his shishu.

Shen Yuan (trying to tease Binghe about his relationship with Liu Mingyan): “Ah, Binghe. Shouldn’t you just call him ‘nei di’ (wife's younger brother) instead?”

Luo Binghe: Blushing furiously, while imagining Shen Yuan as his wife.

Modern LCF AU where Lily and Bassen get tired of people trash talking their brother— specially because they know a lot of what they say is exaggerated or down right slander— so they create the first and only (for now) Cale Henituse Appreciation Account (the original one, of course).

The posts alternates between iconic Og!Cale quotes and wholesome annecdotes about him in no particular order and answers fighting hate posts about him.

Some people follow them because they're funny but almost no one believes them. So they decide to reclute Hans to their efforts.

Why? Because he's a good photographer. He has an account dedicated to cute photos of random cats.

Their next post is a short video of Og!Cale crunching down in front of a stray dog, both of them staring at each other and tilting their heads in synchronization. The video ends when the dog puts a muddy paw on his shoulder. He whispers "You're a good girl" and giggles.

When winter break is over, Og!Cale is widely confused. He went away for some weeks to deal with stuff and when he came back no one feared him anymore. No one avoids him, no one looks at him like they day couldn't get worse. Some people even greeted him. Genuinely, friendly greeted him. Not the fake two faced greet people do because they have to.

Rok Soo seats next to him and he's so relieved that he's the same as always— Until he asks him if he plans to adopt the dog.

What dog? What do you mean that "from the video"? What video? There's an account of what?!

He opens his phone and checks it quickly.

Og!Cale, immediately recognizing the pattern speech: Lily, what are you doing on twitter? You're too young.

Lily: It's fine. Oppa and Hans are with me.

Og!Cale: So, those are your accomplices.

I've been a bit of a salty spitoon over the recent events unfolding at NYCC so here's some GOOD news (sorta) >:00

I say (sorta) because I'm not a huge fan of mongie's work (or mongie herself) either, but DAMN if this lady doesn't know how to GET SHIT DONE-

Like GODDAMN is there a lot to show for here \(￣︶￣*\)

I don't know what the Let's Play After Dark or Omnibus works are, but it's really cool to see Linda Sejic's art here, I had NO idea what to expect when mongie announced she was going to NYCC and collaborating with Linda. I'm assuming Omnibus is likely a novelization or some kind of complimentary book to Let's Play because it has over 700 pages of stuff which is wild. Unless they just went and re-skinned the Volume 1 cover of Let's Play, I have no clue but it looks great. As for After Dark, yeah, again, no clue LMAO

Let's Play is returning in 2025, AND she's starting up a new series over on Manta (a publishing platform that's open to NSFW material which will definitely be better for mongie's work and will hopefully give WT a run for their money LOL) She hasn't stated yet where Let's Play's new home will be, but I'm assuming if it's not Manta, it might be a new independently-run site altogether, but again, we'll just have to wait and see. I remember her mentioning she wanted to do a fantasy series on her Patreon ages ago so it seems like she's finally getting the opportunity to do so. I have no idea what she's going to do with Let's Play after its S3 jump the shark finale LMAO

She's getting some merch made with BIOWORLD which is neat, though it'll be interesting to see how the quality comes out because the last creator I saw working with BIOWORLD was Smythe and the merch was uhhhh- not great. I posted about it on IG a while back but I don't know if I ever talked about it here so I'll def make that as a separate post for anyone who's curious.

But the BIG one - Let's Play is getting an anime, and it's from an actual animation studio which is a way bigger sign that it's a sure thing.

Again, I'm not a huge fan anymore of Let's Play or mongie in general, but I gotta give her credit where credit is due, she had WAY more to show for herself at NYCC than Rachel did, and the fact that she did all this after burning her bridges with WT, that's gotta sting for WT's and Rachel who still don't have anything to show for an animated TV show after four years. At this rate, there are gonna be more creators succeeding on a mass scale by choosing not to publish with Webtoons than those who did.

And who knows, maybe the anime adaption will tidy up all the problems original Let's Play had. It remains to be seen, but I think it's pretty neat to see mongie making such strides since she left the platform.

Ambush Bug Propaganda: - He’s a total freak. He’d eat an anchovy on a pizza and a big onomatopoeia would appear (from the writers) in big red letters going ‘YUCKY!!!’. He’d then proceed to do more yucky things, for the bit. I think if you gave him anchovies on pizza he’d eat the plate too. I don’t think he’s actually ever eaten anything in the comics, but he keeps getting pizza delivered to his apartment, so it can be assumed he likes pizza at least.

            Smoke trailed up into the cold air. The campfire crackled, its orange light wavering over the Imperial’s unsure face.

            “I’m a soldier, I’ve only ever followed orders, but now that I’m this…” Anthony looked confused, unsure himself what the word fully meant, “dragonborn, they look to me to lead, and I don’t know if I can.”

            Lydia sat beside him on the fallen log, watching him.

            His head sunk with a sigh. “I’m sorry to burden you with all of this.”

            “I told you, I don’t mind carrying your burdens.”

            He looked up to her through narrowed eyes. “That’s not exactly what you said.”

            “Well…” she glanced away, something shy in her stoic face, “it’s what I’m saying now.”

            His head lifted, surprised.

            “Maybe I was mad at first,” an edge in her voice began sharpening as it went, “that the gods would choose not a Nord on not the Nord’s side to be the Nordic hero, but…” exhaling, the edge softened, “then you risked your life to save Stormcloak farmers.”

            “Well, of course,” he looked confused, “they were people who needed help, wouldn’t anyone have-?”

            “No,” she turned to him, expression sad but warm, “and that’s why the gods chose well.”

            He stopped, surprised.

            “And you’re doing a good job leading us,” she smiled.

            Touched, he slowly smiled back.

            “Well, except for when you get us ambushed by bandits.”

            The smile dropped into a quick gape. “I knew it probably was an ambush.”

            “Uh huh,” she looked unconvinced.

            “But what if he really needed help? You can’t just walk past someone who might need help!”

            “Even when it’s probably an ambush?”

            “Like I said, it might not have been.” Catching that the fire was dwindling, he faced forward to stoke it. “And if we didn’t fall into the trap then someone else would’ve, and they might not have had weapons or an idea that it was probably an ambush. It’s our duty to protect those who can’t protect themselves, so we have to fall into traps…”

            Lydia smiled fondly as he rambled on.
