HELLO and thank you for the ask! I absolutely do have Sad Journey recommendations for you, in a variety of flavors!

The Donner Party is a spiritual companion to Sad Boat media because 1) cannibalism and 2) the same cold snap that trapped the Donner Party was also responsible for Terror and Erebus getting frozen in, so they're basically twin tragedies. My favorite Donner Party books are The Indifferent Stars Above by Daniel James Brown, which focuses mostly on Sarah Graves, and The Hunger by Alma Katsu, a fiction book with a supernatural twist, but one that does a great job of capturing the true horror of what they endured!

Mountaineering is full of tragedy, and it has a lot of the same appeal factors as polar and nautical stories. The one everyone is most familiar with is Into Thin Air by Jon Krakauer, and with good reason! Krakauer is one of the most compelling authors of narrative nonfiction in the game, and you can safely pick up almost any of his books and encounter Men In Sad Situations. I am also partial to the story of the 1924 British Mount Everest expedition- the one where George Mallory and Sandy Irvine died. Into The Silence by Wade Davis and Last Climb by David Breashers and Audrey Salkeld both tell this incredible story.

In a similar vein, the story of the Uruguayan rugby players who crash landed in the Andes Mountains sounds like something you might enjoy! Alive: The Story of the Andes Survivors by Piers Paul Read is fascinating. Some of the survivors also wrote memoirs which I personally find more compelling, but I don't want to give away the names of the survivors- once you know, you can look them up, or message me and I'll send them to you. Once you know the story, check out Society of the Snow on Netflix- it's great!

Interested in Sad Journeys in warmer places? DEFINITELY check out The Lost City of Z by David Grann, another can't go wrong author of narrative nonfiction! This one follows the explorer Percy Fawcett as he travels into the jungles of the Amazon searching for the lost city of El Dorado. It... does not go well. There's also a cameo appearance from James Murray of Karluk fame (if you haven't read The Ice Master or Empire of Ice and Stone, please do, I am begging you!)

I also want to put in a plug for military nonfiction, which often scratches a similar itch for me. I'm currently reading Skies of Thunder by Caroline Alexander, about a completely insane WWII mission to fly needed supplies over the Himalayas. Also check out With The Old Breed: At Peleliu and Okinawa by Eugene Sledge. Talk about a devastating journey.

Buck: Thanks goodness you're here! We're going to need back up! That warehouse is full of all sorts of animals, like tigers and penguins, and those guys were being sooo mean to the animals and they stole my friend's bird!

Athena watch as this strange teenager who ran up with a blue parrot on his shoulder

Athena: What's your name kid?

Buck: Evan, but I go by Buck because when I first moved here there were already like 5 Evans in my class so instead I go by Buck instead of being Evan B

Athena: And do your parents know where you are?

Buck: Maybe? I know I told them before I left but they were busy talking about Daniel so I don't know if they heard me.

Athena: Ok this was a funny joke but let's get you home ande and your parents can have a nice long talk with you about prank calling 911

Buck ran off and Athena had no choice but to follow him

He lead the officer to a ladder that lead to a fire escape exit for the warehouse that had obviously been tamper with to not go off when open

Following the boy she found exactly what he described, a warehouse filled with animals of all kinds, and men walking around either on phones probably talking to their customers or throwing food at different animals while kicking the cages

Seeing enough Athena led Buck out of the warehouse again and made sure they were a safe distance away before radioing dispatch for back up

Athena: Dispatch this is officer Grant, it turns out that prank call wasn't a prank after all, I'm going to need several more units and animal control at my location now.

After the ring was busted and animal control had the animals under control Athena walks back up to Buck

Buck: That was awesome! Do you think you can give me a ride to my friend's house? I want to return Blu to his owner

Athena: Sure and while we do that, we're going to have a nice long talk about how you shouldn't sneak into warehouses and sneak past potentially very dangerous men so that you can get a parrot back.

Despite that talk, Buck ran into Athena more times that she would have liked at first

Buck just seemed to have a knack for simple mysteries turning into major crimes

Buck became so much apart of Athena's career that he got is own code so Athena automatically knows that this has something to do with Buck

Over time their exasperated relationship turned into pseudo mother son relationship

Buck open up to Athena about how his parents focus more on his older siblings, Maddie who was in Nursing school and Daniel who was pre-med

That on the rare times they did acknowledge him it was because he did something they preserved as wrong or he was hurt

Athena took that poor boy under her wing and basically started to raise him as her own

She would go to his school events, encourage him when he needs it, and be a shoulder to cry on when the silence at home got to be too much for him

Athena wasn't the only emergency reaponder that Buck was well aquatinted with

He was also well know in the 118

Hey you didn't do what Buck does without getting injured or stuck in a really high tree, which is how he met Bobby

Since Bobby had joined the 118 he had heard stories about this teen detective that got himself into all sorts of trouble

Bobby didn't really believe them, he honestly thought that the team was trying to trick him

Until he got a call that a code baby blue was stuck in a tree

Bobby: I'm sorry dispatch could you repeat that?

Dispatch: You must be new, code baby blue is Buck, he somehow hot himself stuck in a tree

Bobby turns to Hen and Chimney

Bobby: Buck is a real person?

They were almost down when a police car came speeding into the parking lot

Apparently Buck was supposed to be grounded after he snuck into a warehouse he thought was making counterfeit items

And they were because the fabric clutch in his hand proved it!

Bobby couldn't help but laugh at this whole situation

When it came time for Buck's highschool graduation, his parents didn't come but his siblings did, as did the 118, and a good number of the LAPD

After Buck graduated he got an associates degree and spent some time traveling around before he shocked every first responder in the LA area by entering the fire academy

Everybody was so sure he was going to be a police officer or even a private detective, but no he became a firefighter

But his keen detective mind helped him on more than a few occasions

He was the first to figure out the bank heist skeem

And when it came to the lock yard mystery his brain was humming with ideas and theories

Athena: No I remember that gleam in your eyes

7. What is your deepest joy about writing?

oh man that is a tough question!!! i always liked creative writing when i was in school but worried that i wasn’t very good at it (like i did with everything, was deeply insecure lmao). but i like creating things! and writing is one of the ways that i get to do that! i like when i get an idea in fragments and obsess over it a little bit until it takes shape, i like when i read it and am proud!!! i love sharing my writing and finding out, woah!!! other people like this!!! that would be a cool thing to tell teenaged me who thought she sucked, i guess.

i very rarely lend books to anyone, bc i am psychotic about keeping them neat and pretty lol. controversial i know!!! but i think if you love something you treat it well and treasure it, and i cannot cope with cracked spines or bent pages lmao. the only person i lend books to is my sister and the last one she borrowed she had for too long without starting it so i lied and said i wanted to reread it so could i please have it back bc it was making me paranoid lmao. she currently has another one of mine. i’m thinking about it a normal amount, for sure…

i don’t care for grammar!!!! sometimes that’s just not how we talk, in perfectly formulated sentences, so sometimes i’m not gonna prose like that either!!!

one of my favourite lines i’ve written is: ‘She wants to fall in love with him a little more and a little more and for him to know about it.’ there are more than the allotted ands in that sentence, it probably needs a comma but hey - it flows when i read it and that’s how i want it.

Hi again, same anon from earlier. First I want to apologize for now my original message came off; I really wanted to be clear that by no means was any of this meant as an attack towards you, but rather there's a place my constructive feedback came from. I've been on social media and art fandoms for a very long time now, and I've had my share of emotional posts where I was strongly expressing my distaste for topics. By 'emotional maturity', I was referring to how mature one expresses/shares their emotions outwardly, which I struggled with daily at your age. By no means was I blind to that. However, I scared many people off with that type of behavior. Before I knew it, I had lost a whole friend group because I didn't have the insight at that age to find a more calm and controlled way of expressing myself. I am also autistic. To pair, at the time I was friends with another autistic person who was very open about the way they expressed their strong negative opinions, generally making similar posts as you did earlier (this was on another website); they got bullied, harassed, and targeted so violently for that behavior that no amount of blocking and reporting could stop the sheer amount of alts and people willing to take advantage of this person, knowing they'd get a reaction. These horrible people thought it was funny. Eventually, they had to leave the website for years and come back with a whole new alias. I can't even believe I was able to reconnect with them all this time later. I guess the point I was trying to get at with that part of my ask wasn't to harm you or call you stupid, but just to let you be aware that unfortunately there are people on the internet who don't see it as an excuse that your a teen- they see it as fair game. Overall, I really just don't want to see this happening to you which is why I wanted to tell you. I wish someone did for me when I was that age. Reading into your further posts after the ask response, you had said that your parents don't take you seriously when you're trying to handle your emotions? I am really sorry to hear this. I don't want you to think anyone here has anything against you, by all means you brought up very valid points in your response and its easy to see that there's far more deep-rooted issues going on than simply disliking a headcanon. Not to backseat therapist, but it really sounds like to me when you said "I struggle with/ignore my negative emotions/one is enough to break me down" that you struggle with regulating your emotions in general. For that, I deeply apologize for the way I worded my post as I would never think you're 'emotionally unintelligent' but rather just... need guidance. Perhaps if you're not already at the moment, maybe see about visiting a counselor or therapist to work on this as I can see it's really hurting you. I can understand if you're not able to given what you've shared with us about your parents, but perhaps someday. There's definitely a lot of material on the internet that can help in the meantime. Otherwise, please take what I'm saying with a grain of salt. I'm just another person on the internet and I thought I was doing the right thing by letting you know of these issues; but it's up to you to interpret them however it might help you. - okay so I tried to see s therapist for other issues because my tendency to bottle emtions up had. Ande me lash out in school do I was forced to get therpay and erm.... There's only 2 therapists near my area for in person one of which we tried but my medicate? Care ? ( I forget and mix the 2 up)didn't cover do we WNET to another and WHOOO was that one BAD bro straight told me "suicide in teenagers in normal and not a sign of mentall illness" do yeah. Phsycail out of the window and I DO NOT. Feel comtoble with online . My parents CAN hear. Even if they can't fully understand they will. Its just. Not safe . Mainly cause ya know? They are part of the issue this isnt even getting into the fact they are straight up transphobic and also slightly homophobic and ya knows... abusive. So yeah therapy is just not an option for me at this momment I thought of going once I was 18+ and had a place to "run away" to safely

And even if it were an option and tehre were slot of therapists in the area I wouldn't feel comtoble since that same bad one also told my parents everything so I refused to dig further and just said "I'm fine" for like a solid 30 mins? And also not even a safety issue but a "I feel bad to ask for anything even if it will atuclly improve my life" and if I ask for therapy where there were options my parents would likely feel I DIDNT need it.

So yeah overall I've had bad experiences with it and don't plan on it until it's even safe for me and I can afford to.

both male leads are super cute, I liked how they were both just nice

subverts a lot of traditional drama tropes, it didn’t feel as predictable as other dramas

there was a lot of cute scenes between the leads that made the romance very believable

it was easy to watch until the end, I didn’t really lose interest very often

the leads and most of the side characters were very flushed out in their motivations, dreams and purposes

it’s just so cute

I took a star off because of a few unnecessary scenes, plots and twists but they were not that bad

this is one of the most iconic dramas i’ve ever seen

this is a friends to lovers drama which is not something we see often

the leads have so much chemistry and it makes sense that they dated in real life

the female lead is not traditionally feminine and it is so refreshing

the male lead is also not traditionally masculine and it makes him really likeable

the drama itself is hilarious and has many quotable sayings

the characters in this drama also have really flushed out motivations

the found family is iconic

the pacing of this drama was well done

the love triangle was interesting because you don’t necessarily root for her with the second lead but it is realistic portrayal of a teen girl’s coming of age

i just loved all aspects of this drama

another one of my FAV dramas of all time

i was very hesitant about this drama because of the premise and not absolutely loving the webtoon but i gave it a chance and i absolutely don’t regret it

the pacing, energy, tone and aesthetics of this drama were not only consistent but were SO incredible

i had heavy second lead syndrome the entire time but unlike usual, i still loved the main lead and was fully invested in both leads scenes with the female lead

besides the main leads, the side characters were just as incredible

the secondary romance with the female lead’s sister was so cute!!! i genuinely watch an entire drama of just their romance

the female lead’s brother’s romance was engaging as well

unexpectedly, i cried because of this drama which, trust me, i never do and it was because of the incredible representation of mother daughter relationships

the message of this drama was misrepresented in my opinion and is much better than its portrayal

my only complaints are that the horror comic aspect of this drama should have been played up and that the bullying and addressing of bullying could have been touched on more or at least better

this was very much a waste of my time

i think i’ve outgrown this story honestly because i was not at all invested in this season

basically, i love that she didn’t end up with the first season’s main lead, i think the person she ended up with was more suited to her and will treat her better

i also liked the maturity of this season compared to the last

the last thing liked was the sweetness of the romance

that being said, this is was mind bogglingly boring to me

the side plots and messages were unnecessary and took up too much airtime

the romance was also unnecessarily drawn out

the tone of this season was completely different than the last and it was a negative change in my opinion

the slow pace, drama and characters were not engaging

this was extremely dramatic and whimsical and it didn’t work for me in this story

i have never ever seen anything like this

this is the perfect show, like absolutely perfect

the depictions of familial, platonic and romantic relationships was PERFECT

the nostalgic vibe of this setting was incredible

the settings, wardrobes, objects and events were so well done

never has a show so perfectly invested me in every single character’s story while having so many characters

when i tell you i watched this entire thing in 2 days despite its length, i am not joking

i could not look away or think about anything else for the entirety of watching it and for a week after

there is an element of mystery with who the female lead ands up with and i was personally VERY happy with the result

another drama that i cried watching MULTIPLE times

the representation of different families, romances and personalities was incredible

there were so many scenes that were placed in that were not related to the plot and that was perfect because it was like we were watching their daily lives and interactions and made the watcher love the characters so much more

it is such a sweet, low stakes watch and such a slice of life story

some of my favorite plots: the father daughter relationship, the single-father son relationship, the single-mother son relationship, the protest storyline, the smart-mean-girl nice-good-boy love story, the moments over time create love, the first crush story, the working-mom son relationship, the found family group, the not knowing what the future holds and SO MANY MORE

i obviously had to watch another show in the reply series

i also LOVED this one

this was more focused on just the kids in the families rather than the families as a whole

the romances were so cute in this drama, and there were more romantic scenes compared to 1988, which i loved

the stan culture depiction in this drama was so interesting and fun to watch

i can’t express how much i loved that she was a kpop stan like it was so entertaining

this felt like a really good depiction of high school and how high schoolers are

i loved the vide of this drama too, the high school and concert setting were very immersive and comforting

the main lead’s romance was SO cute and i fully developed a crush on the male lead

it really felt like i was in 1997 Korea and it was so nice

the gay character representation!!!!! like this is HUGE for a kdrama and especially one set in 2012

I LOVED the female lead, she was so cool

the characters’ growths were so good and well done just wow

i will say that 1988 was better because of the elevation of the familial bonds and the general plot connections but the romances of this one were a lot more developed simply because there were so many scenes

they tried to do a mystery ‘who does the female lead end up with’ but it was very predictable compared to in 1988

the romance for me is a 5/5 but the rating went down for a lot of reasons

firstly, i’m a huge fan of sageuk and this drama was a perfect one

i think the leads ahead a lot of chemistry

i loved the side characters a lot, and especially the female lead’s friendships with them

the settings and aesthetics were A1

the banter was great

the plot was great and believable

the reason i had to lower my rating comes down to few minor issues that compiled so much that it hindered my enjoyment

the first issue i had is that here were SO many third act conflicts like waaaayy too many

the characters got together way too early so you can tell the writers created a bunch of issues to keep them apart and it could have been avoided if they hadn’t done that

the plot started imposing too much on the main storyline towards the end and i didn’t love that

the second lead was good compared to how they’re usually written so it was extremely bothersome that the love triangle wasn’t made believable, not once did i believe the female lead had any romantic feelings toward him

just generally the individual aspects of this drama were very good but when combined it was all over the place and not cohesive

anyway that’s the update, if anyone has any recommendations for me, please let me know. thanks for reading!

him making you go to bed : he learned from the best . which means he’s learned from you . every tactic you employ to lure him to sleep ? well he’s doing that , but taking it a step further with a bit of firmness in his movements . he’s going to hold you , to bundle you up tight and place you in bed like a little burrito that can’t escape the sweetness of sleep . he’ll even get into bed and hold you so you can’t escape . you need sleep , y/n . you’re so grumpy when you don’t get enough , and jason hates seeing those dark bags under your eyes . he’ll rock you to sleep , pressing in close and only getting up after he knows your sleeping tight .

thomas 

making him go to bed : you’ll have to venture down into the basement . and thomas already doesn’t like it when you’re down there . so he’ll be a bit fussy when you come up behind him with your hand on his back . he’s been working for hours and it’s well into the night . smile up at him . tell him you miss him . you can’t sleep without him . he’s your big cuddle buddy , and it just isn’t the same falling asleep without his snoring . more than likely you’ll find that you’re both gonna end up sleeping in the cool basement . thomas too tired from working himself to the bone to trudge upstairs . have him lay on his stomach and rub his back for him . he’ll be snoring like a baby soon , and you can cuddle up on the worn out bed and know he’s gonna stay in your arms till morning . 

him making you go to bed : won’t go to sleep ? being stubborn ? thomas will huff at you . then puff at you . then toss you over his shoulder in the most gentle way possible and put you in bed . he’ll stay there while you complain that your not sleepy , gently pressing you back down onto the bed every time you try to get up . it’s time for sleep , y/n . don’t fight him . you won’t win . your health is important to thomas . so he’s going to make sure you get the sleep you need . no ifs ands or buts .

making him go to bed : it’s surprisingly easy . just take his hand and tell him you want to go to bed . he’ll follow like an puppy . bed time means bed time clothes , which means he can wear his pretty lingerie , and you like it when he wears his lingerie so that means cuddles and cuddles feel amazing and leads to kisses and kisses leads to i love yous and i loves you lead to giggles and more cuddles . and eventually the two of you fall asleep in each other’s arms , comfortable and close . like it was stated above , it’s easy . 

him making you go to bed : get ready for cuddles . are you even in the bed ? no ? you’re on the bone couch ? on the floor ? doesn’t matter . bubba has decided it’s time for bed and if you won’t go to the bed then he’ll bring the bed to you . which means he will cuddle you into submission and have you asleep in his arms soon . soft whines and whimpers and babbling will be what lull you to sleep as you try to fight off your exhaustion . you won’t win . there’s just something about how warm and soft bubba is that makes you snuggle up and pass out . 

michael 

making him go to bed : good luck . honestly , good luck . michael is his own man . he’s feral . he makes his own rules . he sleeps when he sleeps and if he isn’t read to sleep then god help the person who tries to force him into bed . getting michael into the bed for sleep is like trying to wrestle a coyote . you’re in for a fight and are probably gonna lose . at most you can ask him to come to bed . but he probably won’t do more than just sit stiff as a board on it . no amount of pouting or even attempted snuggling with break this man’s resolve . he’s stubborn as hell when he wants to be . and he wants to be all the time . eventually , michael will allow sleep to take over . just don’t be surprised if he ends up tossing you out of the bed so he can have it to himself .

him making you go to bed : he’s manhandling you . he’s tossing you into the bed . he’s forcing you under the covers . he’s caring about you in the roughest manner possible . don’t make him knock you out . he’ll do it . he’ll put your ass to sleep . don’t fight him and don’t expect him to play nice . if he knows you need sleep and you aren’t getting it then this violent feral cat mom is gonna make you . best to just give up and let michael tuck you in so tight you might as well be in a straight jacket . at least you know he cares .

making him go to bed : goodnight kiss . he will be in that bed faster than you can finish offering said kiss . un beso for this wall gremlin . he’ll be good and tuck himself in and get all cozy . but please give him a kiss . no , a real kiss . one more , just one . and a cuddle ? spare a cuddle for the touch starved boy . he’s already in his bed , how can he sleep without a cuddle ? besides bubba , brahms is the easiest person to get to sleep . 

him making you go to bed : he’ll wrap those long arms around you , drape himself over you and whine . i’m so sleepy , y/n . please tuck me in ? please come to bed ? please ? he won’t stop . he’ll bother and annoy you until you’re in that bad and you’re cuddling him . and once you are in bed , he’s holding you there . no sneaking out or getting away . he isn’t brahms the boy wanting to be tucked in . he’s brahms the man , making sure you’re getting your rest .

making him go to bed : it’s a mixture of luring , seduction , and pleading to make jesse leave what’s hes doing to follow you to bed . the best sort of action is to start with little kisses , soft sighs , light touches . tell him how much you need him right now . to feel his arms around you . that you want to rest your head on his chest and trace his tattoos . promise him cuddles with a happy ending and he’ll be the one tossing you into the bed . and once you both get your happy endings then you’ll be smug with the accomplishment of a worn out man falling asleep holding you . 

him making you go to bed : can’t sleep ? won’t sleep ? fine . over his shoulder you go . he’s gonna make you tired . he’s gonna make you sleepy . you might not be able to walk tomorrow but that’s not his fault . he told you to get some sleep hours ago and you still stayed up . now you gotta suffer . and the suffering is half the fun . 

billy & stu 

making them go to bed : it’s always a mix up over who you can under the covers and tucked in first . sometimes it’s billy , sometimes it’s stu . but you’ve come to find out that if you go for billy first , stu is soon to follow . what’s that billy ? you can’t tell him what to do ? he can do what he wants ? you’re not his momma ? but billy , sweet fussy bad boy billy , you’re right . you’re not his momma . but you still want him to get into bed , you want cuddles don’t you ? and kisses ? he’s played himself . he’s played himself right into your hand because fuck if billy isn’t a sucker for loving motherly attention . he’ll flustered and get pissed and drag stu into the bed as he crosses his arms and looks pissed . but once you come in to coddle him he’s a puddle of comfort and sleep . 

stu on the other hand . . . wrestle him into bed . if he isn’t listening to billy and needs some more convincing literally just tackle him to the bed and give him silly kisses . wrestle the covers over him and laugh as billy smacks him for taking you away when you were in the middle of petting his hair and calling him pretty . show love to both your boys and let them nuzzle into you . they’ll be fast asleep while they listen to you breathe between them . 

them making you go to bed : how can you escape two needy sleepy boys ? you can’t . they’ll get you . they’ll sandwich you between them and cuddle you . just watch . stu will tease you for yawning . billy with smugly remind you that you need sleep . don’t make them use force . it’s a tease , you know . at least you hope . stu is much more cuddly , likely doing the same thing you do to him , wrestling you into sleep . billy will just get lazy with you , have you lay on him as he strokes your hair and lulls you into sleep with soft talking and sweet touches . he’s always smug when you fall asleep . he’ll remind you of it in the morning to feed his ego .

-Premise: Your daughter asks for a bedtime story, and Jin tells the story of how the two of you met...as a fairy tale.

-Genre: This is just straight up domestic fluff, y'all. No ifs, ands, or buts about it.

-Author's Note: This is based on A Sky Full of Stars by Coldplay...this type of domestic fluff is not usually my thing, but @hyungieyoongi is an enabler and too many ideas took hold that I needed to get out of my brain. Who even am I, writing a dad fic? Hope you enjoy!

“Lemonade, it’s time for bed!” Jin singsongs down the hallway. You smile to yourself in the kitchen as you hear the pitter-patter of tiny socked feet echo across the living room. You turn to see your five year old daughter, hiding behind the curtains, her toes peeking out and wiggling in excitement as she hears her dad coming down the hallway behind her.

“Now where can my daughter have gotten off to?” Jin stands in the middle of the living room, seemingly perplexed. He begins to look behind furniture, lifting couch cushions to call into the dust and crumbs that have fallen by the wayside, as if the five year old would suddenly appear. You hear her giggles again when he opens the coat closet.

Jin turns to you instead of towards the noise. “Excuse me, pretty lady...have you seen a small girl about this high-”, he motions just above his knee, “-dark brown hair, answers to the name of Lemonade?” He grins at you, just as the girl in question bursts out from hiding, flinging her arms around her dad’s knees in a giant hug. He quickly scoops her up in his arms amongst a flurry of giggles from both you and her.

“Daddy, that’s not my name!” She laughs, smacking Jin’s chest with her small hand.

“What’s not your name?” He responds, pretending to be clueless.

“Lemonade...it’s Adelaide, Daddy.” She rolls her eyes at him.

Jin chuckles. “Well, you could’ve fooled me...I thought you were named Lemonade because you’re so sweet.” He smacks his lips against her cheek in a wet kiss and puts her back down on the ground.

“Can you tell me a story before bed, please?” She tugs on the hem of his shirt as politely as she can manage, though you can tell by the look in her eyes she’s desperate for your husband to say yes.

“Since you asked so nicely, I’d be happy to...Adelaide.” She grins widely and runs off to go brush her teeth and change into her pjs.

As she leaves the room, you turn back to the dishes you were cleaning from dinner. It’s not long before you feel Jin’s hands on your waist as he peers over you at the dishes you’re working on, resting his head on your shoulder.

“Hi, you.” he mumbles into the crook of your neck, rubbing his hands soothingly up and down your sides.

“Hi yourself, handsome.” You smile as you twist your head to give him a peck on the cheek.

“You need any help? I’m sure you’ve been on your feet all day...I’m happy to give you a massage later after Lemonade goes to bed.”

You let out a small laugh at his nickname for your daughter.

“I would love that...but when are you gonna stop calling Adelaide that?” You shake your head.

“Oh, never...it’s too funny, and you know she secretly loves it. You do too, I think.” You look up to see him smirking at you.

“You know, whenever we have another kid, I’m going to give it the weirdest nickname ever, no matter what you name them!” You threaten, turning around to face him once you set the last cup out to dry. Jin raises an eyebrow at you.

“...whenever? I think it’s a little too late for that one, love.” You can see a mix of mirth and warmth in his eyes as his hands slide from your waist over your stomach, which in the last week or so has started to show signs of a bump, much earlier than in your pregnancy with Adelaide.

“You know what I mean, Seokjin!” You glare at him, even as you bring your hands over his.

“You can call them Tteokbokki for all I care, I still get to name them. Both, if my hunch is right and you’re having twins,” he caresses your stomach as he leans forward and kisses your forehead softly.

Before you can reply, Adelaide is shouting for Jin from her bedroom, impatiently awaiting her bedtime story.

“You coming to storytime, Mama?” He asks, clearly hoping you’ll say yes.

“I’ll be there in a minute, just let me go change into something more comfy,” you reply, heading for your bedroom as Jin smiles as your retreating figure.

After throwing on a pair of sleep shorts with a ratty old hoodie of Jin’s, you head over to Adelaide’s room, where Jin is on his tippy toes, retrieving a book of fairy tales from the top shelf of Adelaide’s bookcase.

“Not that one, Daddy...you’ve read those like a hundred times!” She exasperatedly proclaims, arms crossed.

“Okay-”, he goes on tiptoe again to place the book back on the shelf, “-what kind of story do you want to hear, then?”

“A new one, that’s all!” She smiles as Jin sits down on the bed with her, burrowing under his arm for warmth.

“Hmm...okay, I think I have one you’ll like.” He smiles sideways over at you in the armchair across the room. Where he’s going with this, you’re not sure.

“Once upon a time, in a kingdom not too far from here, there was a beautiful princess. Her parents, the king and queen, wanted to make sure that she was married to a prince that was worthy of her. For you see, not only was she the most beautiful in the land, she was also very smart, and very funny. Not just any prince would do for her.” He looks over at you and smiles fondly. You smile in return, realizing he’s telling your daughter your story-how the two of you ended up together, thinly disguised as a fairy tale.

“One day, a prince from a faraway land arrived on a visit. The king and queen thought he would be an excellent match for their daughter, and so they arranged a meeting between the two of them. The princess got along with the prince, and they became friends quickly. The prince also introduced the princess to his court jester, who traveled alongside him for entertainment. The three soon became inseparable.” Your smile grows bigger the more the story goes on...you realize that the prince is Jungkook, and the jester is your husband.

“However, the princess didn’t show any interest in the prince other than friendship-”

“I think you forgot a part of the story, babe,” you interrupt before he can get much further. Adelaide looks across the room at you in wonder.

“What did he forget, Mama?” she whispers, clearly enthralled with the story. Jin raises his eyebrow at you, interested in what you have to say.

“The prince did ask the princess to go on a date with him, and it was very romantic,” you start. Jin’s eyes go wide, this information new to him. “He prepared a picnic for the two of them, and they went on a stroll through the neighboring town. The prince told the princess of all his foreign travels, and they talked for hours. When the night grew dark, he walked her home and kissed her goodnight.” Jin makes an indignant sound, quickly covering it up with a cough.

“Are you okay, Daddy?” Adelaide’s little hand pats his back as he continues to choke.

“I’m...fine, fine. Where was I in the story? Oh, yes. After this date-”, he makes pointed eye contact with you, letting you know he will be asking about details later, “-the prince was called to go on an important trip far away from the princess. The court jester had to go too, to make sure the prince never became too sad while he was away. The princess was sad that they had to leave, but they promised to come see her when they returned and said they would exchange letters while they were gone.”

“Did they come back? What happened?” Adelaide pipes up, wanting to know what happened next. You begin to speak again, picking up the story from Jin.

“The three kept their promises to each other. They all wrote to each other while they were separated, but a funny thing started to happen...the princess started to realize that she missed the court jester more than the prince. She missed the way he would make her laugh, how he would make fun of her for small, goofy things, and she missed his smile when she managed to make him laugh.”

Jin lets out a breathy laugh at this, the sound sending serotonin through you, and you can’t stop the smile that takes up what feels like your entire face.

“The jester felt the same way. He missed the princess’s laugh, her wit, her...everything.” Jin looks at you with such fondness, your face starts to heat and you have to look away.

“So what happened?! What about the prince?” Your daughter demands, and Jin pulls her in closer.

“When the two returned from their trip, the jester shared with the prince his feelings for the princess. The prince understood, and had begun to notice the jester’s feelings himself. He gave the two his blessing, and the jester and the princess shared their feelings with each other and kissed. They eventually got married, and they lived happily ever after.”

Jin smiles down at his daughter. “How’s that for a bedtime story?” She grins sleepily up at him.

“That was good, Daddy...the princess reminded me of Mama.” Jin leans down to press a kiss to Adelaide’s forehead as he tucks her in.

“Well, your Mama has always been a princess to me,” he smiles over at you as he straightens up and takes your hand as the two of you walk towards the door.

“Night, Mama. Night, Daddy.” Adelaide calls softly from her bed.

“Night, Adelaide.” “Night, Lemonade.”

As you pull the door closed gently, Jin pulls out his phone and begins to FaceTime Jungkook.

“Jin, what-” Before you can finish your sentence, Jungkook appears on the screen.

“Jin hyung, Noona, hi! What’s up?” Jungkook smiles brightly through the screen.

“Did you, or did you not, take my wife out on a date and kiss her?!” Jin whisper yells through the phone, careful not to disturb your daughter.

Jungkook’s face scrunches in confusion. “What? Hyung, she’s your wife, that doesn’t even make sense-”

“Before we started dating, did you take her on a date and kiss her?!” Jin repeats.

Realization dawns on Jungkook’s face, and he starts to laugh. You can’t help it, you join in as well.

“Yeah, we did. It was a nice date, if I remember right, Noona? I made us a picnic and we talked a lot. And yeah, I did kiss her.” Jungkook smirks at the memory.

“And you just neglected to tell me this, all these years? What am I to you, nothing?” Jin is incredulous at Jungkook’s nonchalance.

“It wasn’t that important, hyung. It became very apparent soon after that that she was swooning over you, not me. Can’t see why with all the dad jokes, but to each their own. Speaking of dad jokes, how’s Addie doing?”

You chime in before Jin has a chance to respond. “You can see for yourself, I’m sure she’d be happy to see Uncle Kookie for a sec.” You push Adelaide’s door open again, calling her name softly to see if she’s still awake.

“Yeah, Mama? What is it?” She sits up in bed slowly as you turn on the lamp on her bedside table.

“Someone wants to say hi to you,” you smile as you turn Jin’s phone around to face her.

Adelaide’s face breaks out in a smile when she sees Jungkook, as well as her cheeks turning slightly pink. You’re pretty sure that she might have a tiny little crush on her Uncle Kookie...and who could blame her? You used to think he was cute too, once upon a time-before a certain jester stole your heart.

Speaking of the jester, he has sat himself down in the armchair across the room, a slight pout on his face. As Adelaide hangs up the call with Jungkook, he speaks.

“Aigoo, what have I done to deserve this? The women in my life all love Uncle Kookie more than they love me,” his pout becomes more prominent as he talks.

“No, Daddy!” Adelaide pipes up from the bed. “It’s like in that song you always sing to me and Mama about all the stars...Uncle Kookie’s great, but in all the stars, we see you.”

You both look over at your daughter, recognizing the song she’s referring to as A Sky Full of Stars by Coldplay. Jin had begun absentmindedly singing that to her as a baby as a sort of lullaby, and it had stuck. He now sang it almost every day to the two of you in some form or fashion.

“We see you. Forever.” Your daughter adds emphasis, trying to convey how much she loves her father.

Jin walks over to her, the partial darkness hiding the mistiness in his eyes from Adelaide.

“And I see you forever, Lemonade. I love you so much, and your Mama so much, never forget that. Ever.” She laughs and nods in agreement, before burrowing down in her covers again.

You turn off her lamp, and the two of you walk out to the hallway, closing your daughter’s door for the second time that night. You turn to your husband.

“You know, we do see you forever. Me, Lemonade, and Tteokbokki.” You laugh while gazing into his eyes, placing his hands on your bump again.

He leans forward to place a gentle yet firm kiss on your mouth.

“I know.”

When you Proposed First...

Summary: You and your boyfriend have been together for a really long time. You couldn’t handle just being “Boyfriend and Girlfriend” anymore. So, you took matters into your own hands...And Proposed first!

Warning(s): Fluff, spoilers for Sanji’s past

A/N: Had a thought of how Sanji would react to me proposing to him and giggled lol.

     Luffy isn’t one for getting the Hint for specific moods in the air. He’s pretty dense when it comes to stuff like that. So, despite being alone together on this very romantic outing on the Island your crew had been staying at for a small vacation after a recent battle. He missed a lot of subtle details you kept bringing up.

“---Luffy! Earth to Luffy! Hello!?” You shouted while hitting his head a few times, wondering why he was spacing out. You panicked a bit because you thought he was angry with you for your question.....You asked him to marry you.

Luffy never expected to find a girlfriend(or boyfriend) while traveling at Sea. Not that he’d ever planned on getting with somebody any time soon. His life was WAY too dangerous for anything romantic anyways. But even so...Meeting you, befriending you, and then falling for you...It all just.../Happened/. it wasn’t planned or expected, he never met somebody as strong as you were, even without devil fruit powers. You just kept surprising him with every day that you woke up.

You stood there while awkwardly holding the box with something /other/ than a ring in it. It was actually a small charm-like Pin that he could pin to his hat or shirt instead. You knew that he wouldn’t wear the ring because it’d easily break with his stretching abilities, he wouldn’t want to break such a valuable gift from his beloved s/o that he loved so much. “Is...Everything alright Luffy? Did I do something wrong?” You asked while tilting your head. Asking that question made him snap back to reality again.

    Before you could respond though, he had pounced you. Clinging to you for dear life with this big dopey grin going from ear to ear. His face was blushing a pink hue as well. Pausing to grab your face and give you a big smooch, he chuckled, “Do you have any idea how amazing you are y/n!?” He asked, making you blink, but then blush as well. “I don’t know how you managed to read my mind but, I wanted to marry you too!” (He didn’t fully know what he was talking about here). Your blush got redder, he paused and blinked, “Y/n....Your face is red....” he commented, making you flinch then glare up at him

“S-Shut up...I just didn’t expect you to know what was going on is all!” You lied...He chuckled as he started giving your face kisses as he still clung to you tightly. You watched him put the pin right in the front of his precious hat. The sun was hitting him perfectly, so you watched a gentle ray glow on the pin.

You kept staring until he pulled out a small box himself that he’d been hiding for the past three weeks, nervous to give it to you as he’d never done something so big before...You held the box in your hand. and he’d gotten you the typical ring as well but, it wasn’t gold or silver. It was oddly enough...Purple? Purple was your favorite color after all, so seeing that he got you a purple colored wedding ring of all things, you knew he was the one for you.

       Zoro was actually pretty quick when he realized he wanted you as his Wife. Each day passed when you two were dating for more than a few years now, would be met with “Please be my wife” as a small joke despite being pretty serious about it.

Today was no exception. At first he woke up pretty angry because one of his swords had gone missing...His childhood sword wasn’t with him this morning. About to scold you for taking it, he noticed that you were with Franky and Usopp helping fix it after a recent battle, since you couldn’t go on the island due to being sick, you thought these two could help fix it.

“---Hopefully this does the trick. The metal on the handle has been worn out for a while...It may need to be completely replaced when we reach the next Island in a few days.” Franky comments, while pointing to the dents in the golden handle. You picked it up to get a closer look at it. “It doesn’t just look like the metal part is busted either....It’s the cloth too. Which is something that I can easily fix myself.” You comment out loud, unaware that Zoro was listening in on the conversation.

Eventually leaving to go grab some food and booze, now that he didn’t have to worry on who stole his sword, Zoro sighed as he sat down in his secret drinking spot (that he shares with you of course). “Damn...I want her to be my Wife” he mutters to himself before taking a sip of the drink he was holding.

Later that same day, you had brought back the sword that you had “borrowed to try and get it fixed” for Zoro. before heading back from putting it back, you felt an arm grab your leg. And before you knew it, you were sitting right on his lap again as he hugged you tightly. You giggled as he pressed his face against your neck, his grip getting tighter, “You trying to hug me, or strangle me?” You teased before planting a kiss on his hair. “I want you to be my Wife” He asked again, which just made you chuckle because he’s been doing this for the last week now.

     A brief silence filled the room, you squirmed a bit while you tried reaching in your pockets to grab something. A small box. You held it out awkwardly while blushing a deep crimson red from ear to ear. “....W-Why not...You become my husband?” You asked. That caught his attention real quick. He blinked as he started at the small box in front of his face, he reached out to open it and see two rings in it (one for each of you of course)

A big sheepish grin started to form as he ignored the pink hue on his own cheeks. “...I love you y/n...” He simply says while putting the ring on his finger, and then puts your ring on your finger. You giggled before reaching up again to give him a proper smooch that started turning to a passionate kiss. “I’m happy that your finally my wife now~” He jokes as he nuzzles into again and the two of you just cuddled together before dinner time.

     You knew about the Political marriage between him and Pudding from Big Mom’s family. You figured out that something had happened when you saw that Pudding and Sanji had “broken up” when you two had started getting more serious in the relationship. You were Pissed Off knowing that he might have been cheating on his Fiance with you, but the crew later explained the full context of what happened (Usopp had to tell you the details that Pudding erased from Sanji’s memory so it didn’t traumatize him again).

After a rocky start to your steady relationship. Sanji has been nothing but honest with you for anything that you may have wanted to know about. He even offered to tell you his childhood at some point but you declined, saying “Sanji-kun...Tell me when you feel emotionally ready ok? Don’t force yourself if your not ready.” And after he heard that, he /knew/ the girl he had to be with was with you. No ands ifs or buts about it. You were the one he was going to Marry for Real one day.

Today was a special day for the two of you, and thankfully, you were on an Island to be able to celebrate it. This was your third year Anniversary together after the time skip of being apart. Sanji had surprised you with a /very/ romantic date to the local festival that was happening nearby since he knew that fancy restaurants weren’t your thing as you were too used to /his cooking/. You two had spent the majority of the festival with the crew, but after a while, you two had gone off to have your own little private date on your own. Sneaking off to the nearby forest for some privacy.

You knew that he was a Romantic Sap when it came to dates. You were the type to just stay home and chill there but, this was a special day so, you thought that you’d amuse him this time. By the time you two had managed to sit down and start eating the delicious meal he had prepared for the two of you (which included some of your favorites). Sanji was telling a big story that happened when you weren’t part of his life, doing silly poses whenever he’d quote his other crewmates, making you have a hearty giggle fit throughout his story.

Before he turned around, you got on one knee and held the Ring box in your hands and stayed quiet. You grinned when he turned around to see you but, completely /froze/ at the sight of you on one knee with the Ring box in your hands. A pink hue started to form as you started to get flustered, “Sanji-kun.....” You started, which made him gulp, anxious of what’s gonna happen despite knowing what it may be. “...Even though we’ve only been together for a few years without the Time skip included...” You paused again so you could pull out the ring, which was a nice silver ring with a very small diamond in the middle. he recognized this ring as you used to wear it on your chain. “Y-Y/n...You can’t...” he starts off, making you nervous, “That ring is yours...” he finishes while avoiding eye contact due to being nervous himself

You giggled, “Sanji-kun....I love you....I want you to have this. I’m willing to gift you something precious...Because your more precious than a silly ring.”

     That did him in. That tiny speech of you claiming he’s more precious than one of your rings was what got him to cry. He cursed, flustered with himself, “D-Dammit....I-I should be proposing t-to you...Not the other way a-around” He complains with a dopey grin that showed his true feelings towards this. “...Will you Marry Me?” You finally asked, holding out a hand so that way you can put the ring on his finger if he said yes.

He didn’t technically say /yes/. But he did nod his head as the awkward crying turned into sobs. After putting the ring on his finger, he fell down to tightly hug you. He’d never been given something so precious in his life without it being taken away from him right after. You knew this though, and just allowed him to cry as you pat his head gently and giggled every now and again

“I love you y/n-san! I love you so fucking much!” He’d repeat, making /you/ get flustered with his chanting declaration of love to you. You hugged him tighter, “I know. I love you too Sanji...After all that you’ve been through...I knew that you were perfect for me, as both a boyfriend, and a Husband.”

Hearing those words just made him sob even longer. He’s never had somebody love him /like this/ in a very long time. And he can’t wait to continue to be loved by y/n for the rest of his life.

Note: Hello! I’m really sorry for taking such a long time to write this (honestly I wrote and re-wrote this a handful of times and I still don't even know if they're that great...)

Older Brother to Younger, Teen Sister HCs 

Ray Blackwell

Ray’s such a calm older brother in the sense that he’s both never intruding in on your personal space & gives you your freedom while still being able to know when he has to step up and protect you (even though he wants to protect you all the time)

Growing up the both of you were close (Fenrir was thrown in that mix too with how often the two boys hung out) But after Ray joined the army, steadily climbing the ranks and you stuck focusing on your studies you guys kind of drifted apart for sometime

You aren’t sure who started it but soon you found yourselves sending each other letters as a way to stay in touch (your letter more often than not having a picture of Belle tucked inside)

The little kitty loves you by the way - you’re his second favourite hooman (it’s cause you spoil him with cuddles), Ray’ll sometimes get jealous when the feline snuggles up to you because he thinks that his own cat loves you more than him

One day though you were walking home from school and passed an alleyway, faintly hearing someone baby talk to something. Curiosity got the better of you and that’s how you found your older brother, cross legged on the dirty street coddling one too many street cats

Though you do travel to that particular spot a lot now (usually as a way to procrastinate destress from school (or simply because you love cats like Ray does)) You’ll also keep them company when Ray can’t

Ray hates it when you go out late at night since anything could happen to you. It nags at the back of his mind a lot, that one day something might happen to his precious little sister and that he might not be there to save you. Old wounds and feelings resurface at the list of possibilities that come to mind.

He doesn’t want history to repeat itself, he doesn’t want to be unable to protect you from danger. So anytime that you visit headquarters and you stay late you either simply stay the night or have an escort take you home. You can choose which option you’d like but Ray’s not taking a ‘no’ as any form of an answer

Calls you dufus just because he can (but affectionately). Might also ruffle your hair and/or pat you on the shoulder

You call him an old man because he can’t stay up past 10PM (Ray’ll then make some kind of comment regarding Sirius and how he’s more of an old man, to which you both laugh until the man himself makes his presence behind you known)

Absolutely the kind of brother to move things you need off a shelf out of your reach before proceeding to walk away with a satisfied smile on his face

Also the kind of brother to tease you about any cute boys/girls/people that he catches you staring at or gushing about (but he’ll stop if you tell him seriously to stop)

Do you like books? Ray likes books. He has a lot of books. Take a book, please he has too many--

If you enjoy reading, Ray is constantly recommending you novels, letting you read them before casually asking you your opinion on certain characters or events when you’re returning it. But even if you're not an avid reader he may still hand you a book or two that he knows you'll enjoy

Like mentioned earlier, Ray is very busy with Army work and such but honestly, out of everyone in the Black Army, he’s the second best person to come to with homework (second only to Sirius). Especially with history. Like, you need the entire history of the Black Army or Cradle? He’s got you, he had to read up on it when he was on the road to becoming the King of Spades.

Really, you could just pop right into his office at anytime, ask your question and Ray will be able to answer without missing a beat before going back to whatever he was doing

You can always come to Ray for anything. Questions, complaints you name it he’ll listen to your woes/answer however he can.

You guys bond over your teacher(s) giving too much homework; Ray reminiscing when he was your age and in high school - he completely understands the struggle (it was excruciating. All the work prolonged the sweet embrace of a good night’s sleep T~T)

There’s someone who’s picking on you? Don’t worry he’ll deal with them >:)

He might not always know how he can help or comfort you since he’s not the best with words when it comes to certain things, but that won’t stop him from at least helping where he can

Will never let anything happen to you -- Ray protects you with his life and he'll use any power he has if it means that you can walk out unharmed, that’s how much he cares for you

Fenrir Godspeed

Fenrir doubles as both your older brother and your best friend

110% flaunts how you’re the coolest little sister a brother could have to anyone that will listen (most of the time it’s the Black Army tho)

Flips between calling you by name, ‘sis’ and any other ridiculous nickname he can come up with (but don’t worry - you have an equally stupid name for him)

Considers you his best buddy (aside from Ray that is)

Fenrir’s also the kind of brother to pat his sister’s head, ruffle her hair, give gentle noogies and shake her around by the shoulders/poke her playfully then go ‘wasn’t me’. Just like these wholesome little things that mean no harm or anything

I also like the idea of Fenrir giving his sister piggyback rides - it's just a nice thought, please don't take this away from me I beg of you T-T

Best bro Fenrir picks you up from school every day, no ifs, ands or buts! Usually, he’ll buy you your favourite sweet/snack and give it to you when he gets there.

Brings Shu Shu along as well and the three of you will talk about what happened at school or anything exciting that may have happened as he walks you either home or to the barracks

You’re both very chaotic + Ray joins in too most of the time. Quite a few pranks happen when you’re at Black HQ (RIP the Black Army when you come over and you three triple team them).

Harmless pranks I promise!

Fenrir may take one of your belongings (a brush, your favourite book or an accessory) and run around the place with the only way of you getting it back is to catch him

There was this one time you snuck tomatoes into his food to see if he’d notice.

Spoiler alert: he most certainly did

After that he kinda ignored you for the rest of the day as payback, pouting and pretending like you weren’t there, saying stuff like ‘huh? Did you hear that?” At the end of the day though he wasn't mad and was able to laugh it off (it doesn’t erase the betrayal he felt tho)

Once in a while you’ll also poke fun at his fear of ghosts, saying off hand that there’s one at the end of the hall, down in the cellar or behind him. You never go too far though - not after the time that a prank of yours left him really shaken. You’ve never seen him so scared in your life and don’t plan to again.

Oliver’s soul nearly left his body when he first met you and learned that you took after your troublesome brother

Fenrir loves helping you with any school work you have cause he likes being a dependable brother for you! …The only problem is that sometimes he doesn’t know how to. Like, he grasps the basic concepts of what you’re talking about, but if you ask him how to calculate acceleration or a parabola he draws a blank - you’ve lost him.

Pls cut him some slack tho he’s trying his best and just the thought alone is sweet 🥺

Compared to his best buddy Ray, the Ace of Spades has quite a bit of free time, which he spends by dropping by the family home where you still live for surprise visits.

Most greetings start with “There’s my favourite sister!” with you adding on “I’m your only sister Fenrir…”

You still welcome him with a smile, open arms and a hug :)

Swears up, down and on his life to keep you and army affairs separate, he’s NOT going to expose his little sister to the violence that comes with his occupation. He stands firm on this decision. This topic is one of the only times you’ll see him actually serious

You’re not stupid though, you know what goes on, and, because of this, every time you hear in passing that the gun crazed Ace of Spades was at it again - launching himself straight into battle - there’s this pang of anxiety that rattles you to your core. You’re sure that there always will be no matter how much times passes

As a sum up - very loving and goofy brother/best friend with the addition of lots of pranks and battle scares 😎✌️

Luka Clemence

You know how in game Luka starts off as kinda cold to MC/Alice? Yeah there's none of that with his little sister

Usually when hanging around her he's most of the time adorning a small smile cause he finds joy in being around her

The relationship you have is a VERY close one considering that, while growing up in the prestigious Clemence household, it was basically you and Luka against the world

Sometimes Luka fears that you’re really lonely back at home because he’s not around as much as he used to be ever since joining the Black Army. Therefore, every week he’s set aside at the bare minimum a whole day (or at least an afternoon/evening) to go visit you - or for you to visit him!

Y’all cooking buddies and I’ll die on this hill

Luka teaches you any and everything he knows about cooking all the way to baking. He’ll even write down recipes for your favourite dishes so you can make them when he’s not there.

Whenever you’re visiting the Black Army and it’s Luka’s turn to make dinner you pitch in and help. He’ll make some of the dishes while you make the others.

The Black Army adores your cooking since you have such a great teacher/brother

Luka lets you hold/pet/feed/take care of Stone. You’re the only exception he makes when it comes to his furry companion

Don’t swear around him he’ll die (that is, after getting told by the other Black Army officers why it's such a bad thing and a big deal)

Lets you hold his sword once but you ended up nearly toppling over because it was heavier than you first anticipated.

Would play the violin for you while you study if you asked him, especially if you bring up that it helps you concentrate better

Sibling fights are non-existent. The only time that there’s a chance of you butting heads is when Luka starts pushing himself too much with training or the conversion involves Jonah

Speaking of the Queen of Hearts--

It’s a constant tug of war between the two brothers on who gets to spend the day with you. Luka’s scowling, Jonah’s pouting and you’re wondering what you have to do to get your brothers to get along (or at least have it where you’re not in the middle of it all)

Very supportive of whatever you want to do with your life. Luka also tells you every once in a while that you can always come live in Black territory or even the barracks when you’re a little older if you want to

All the more should Jonah/your parents ever try to enforce something on you (like some kind of lesson/social norms for Red Territory that you don’t like etc.). Luka will 100% whisk you away into Black Territory to get away from it all, just say the word.

All in all each of the boys are wrapped around their little sister's finger and would do anything to keep her safe and happy :)
