I'm a bit confused - descriptions of what?

There are Ream links in all of the chapter releases that aren't fanfiction :D I've put up Ream links on Tumblr 5 times this week alone, and that's about the same amount of Patreon links I've put up as well. I've put Ream links up on Twitter this week, and also on Discord where relevant (i.e. for things actually launching on Patreon, like Constellations).

My pinned post will get a major upgrade once Tradewinds actually releases, but beyond that, I'm not sure what descriptions you're thinking of, I apologise. For folks who actually follow my Tumblr (vs. just visiting it as a one-off - and they're not really the folks who are most likely to follow Ream), they're probably a bit tired of how often they see Patreon and Ream links sdkalfjsa

I am actually begging some people to just let some spaces exist untouched by real-world issues and horrors.

Like I've lost count of the amount of times peaceful game or fandom servers have been ruined by people stampeding in with political rants, bitching about world issues, demanding internal activism, demanding vent channels so they can whine about their shitty parents, ect.

Like. Respectfully. Not every single space has to be inclusive of and welcoming of outside topics. The real world sucks. We don't needed to be reminded of that absolutely everywhere.

I regret to inform you that Discord's new Terms of Service includes an arbitration clause. You can find it here https://discord.com/terms/#16. This clause includes an opt-out, which I have transcribed here:

These clauses are underhanded ways that corporations seek to deprive you of your right to participate in class-action lawsuits and your right to a jury trial. (This does only apply to us users ,other people still spread the word though )

If you're on the app, immediately go to your dms and then "add friends". After the latest update they allow your contacts to find you and have that option turned on by default, so make sure it's unchecked!

This is very obviously not great for a multitude of reasons, but especially for people in vulnerable positions who do not want people in their contacts to see who they are on discord and/or know they have discord in the first place. I've also tried finding out if this is a thing on desktop but haven't been able to find any mention of it, so either it's not a "feature" (yet) or they've hidden it. Either way, stay safe, and turn off finding friends via contacts!
