Lilia has to fight to keep a straight face, wondering if this is his future self playing some sort of trick – but he knew the look in his own eyes, the subtle yet tender touches you share while talking amongst yourselves about the situation at hand. Where he was at in this point in time he couldn’t imagine attaching himself to someone, not that he didn’t care for you as he was now, but wondering what might’ve been the last jump he needed to enter a relationship after being content with ‘loneliness’ after many, many years.

Malleus Draconia:

Malleus’ younger self has a hard time hiding his joy, as though his love hadn’t been elevated to the point of his older self, he had always been fond of you. Knowing your relationship lasted through NRC was something to celebrate, even if he keeps his cool as you speak. His older self wished he could warn himself of the troubles ahead, of his very worst moments that had made you suffer, that still plagued him with guilt when he thought of how he almost ruined his chances to win your heart. It was a lesson he had to learn himself, but the fight would be worth it in the end.

Sebek Zigvolt:

Sebek is flabbergasted, wondering if he had strewn so far from his initial dreams of protecting Malleus just to enter a romantic relationship. His older self is extremely embarrassed, looking at you with a barely hidden grimace while you’re fighting to keep a straight face. He almost doesn’t want to believe his younger self had acted like that but the more you give him a fond, slightly pitying look, the more he realized he had matured after graduating from NRC.

Silver:

Silver knows exactly what his younger self is thinking. How had he earned your favor? Why had you chosen him to love? And was he worthy of it? There aren’t comforting words to be offered because Silver himself wouldn’t believe them even now, he had seen it through your actions and your loyalty, your steadfast determination to show just how much he meant to you. Only when his younger self saw the lengths you went to would he fully understand the love you shared.

He is the most annoying client because he commissions the weirdest things. Once asked you to make him a sword with a detachable spoon. He used it to eat soup at a war camp.

Always hanging upside down in your forge, asking too many questions. “What does this do? Can I touch it? Oh? Why are you looking at me like that?”

You make him a personalized dagger with his name etched in glowing runes, thinking he’d use it in battle. He instead uses it to cut vegetables while cooking. (It’s the only reason the vegetables survive his cooking.)

But when it comes down to it, Lilia deeply respects your craft. If he ever gifts you anything, it’s always materials from far-off lands, rare ores, and enchanted metals that sing under your hammer.

Absolutely goes feral if anyone tries to disrespect your work. You won’t even know what happened. One moment, someone is criticizing your craftsmanship—next moment, they’re pale, shaking, and handing you money while Lilia smiles behind them.

Silver Vanrouge – The Knight Who Always Falls Asleep Near Your Forge

He respects your work immensely but has terrible luck visiting you. He always falls asleep while waiting.

You once found him passed out against your anvil. You almost clocked him with a hammer thinking he was a burglar.

But the best part? He sleeps like an absolute angel in the most inconvenient spots. On your workbench? Yup. Leaning against a suit of armor? Done. Balanced on a pile of metal ingots? How??

When he’s awake, though, he’s very earnest about learning. He wants to understand how to take care of his weapons, so he often asks you to teach him maintenance techniques.

You sharpen his sword once, and he treats it like you personally saved his life. He insists that your work makes him faster and sharper in battle.

He demands the strongest, most unbreakable weapons. You make him a sword once, and he treats it like it's a divine relic.

Tries to act like he’s too dignified to be impressed, but the first time he sees you pull molten metal from the forge, his jaw drops.

You gift him a custom sword with his family crest, and he is red in the face. "W-WHAT?! THIS IS—HOW DID—FOR ME?!?!” You swear you saw sparkles around his head.

Complains about you “wasting time” making non-weaponry, but secretly loves everything you make. Once, you gave him a metal drinking flask for travel, and he now refuses to use anything else.

Will loudly threaten anyone who disrespects your craft, even if they didn’t say anything. Someone casually mentions a blacksmith in another town? Sebek immediately starts yelling: "THEY CANNOT POSSIBLY MATCH MY CRAFTSMAN!!!”

He also secretly admires your patience and dedication. Late at night, when you’re working under the dim glow of the forge, he just watches in quiet awe. Sometimes, he forgets to yell.

He decided not to ask questions and just accept it.

He's confused but flattered.

He doesn't judge you or pressure you to explain anything. If there's one thing he's learned from his training, it's that some mysteries are better left unsolved.

As soon as those words left your lips, your plate suddenly disappeared in front of you. It was so fast you didn’t have time to process it until you saw Malleus putting the Broccoli and peas onto his own plate.

“W-Waka-sama! I thought you wanted the Prefect to learn from your example!” Sebek shouts and slam his hands against the cafeteria table, making it shake.

Lilia began laughing as he watched Malleus hands your now empty plate back to you. Silver just shakes his own head and takes of his own meal.

“If my Baby Sibling truly doesn’t want to eat their greens, then I cannot force them.”

“Yay!” You started acting all cutesy as you lean against Malleus, wrapping your arms around his. Sebek looked like he was about to start screaming but it was caught in his throat.

How TWST characters react to finding out your real name

They hadn't realized you were using a fake name or a nickname, and when they find out you hadn't told them your real name, they each reacted in their own way.

Featuring : Idia, Lilia, Crowley, Ace/deuce/grim (together) , Azul/jade/Floyd (together), Malleus, Epel, Rook, Vil, Kalim, Jamil

Idia - Fair. Its like using a fake in game name only in real life, who needs to know your real name? It's not that important, it doesn't change that you're still you. But he is glad that you trusted him with your real name, but now he's a little possessive, and doesn't like it when other people use your real name. Its HIS privilege to know the you behind the character! (He wants his y/n moment and he gets some sort of fulfillment knowing he was the first to learn your true name. Like he's in some sort of otome game)

Lilia- he raises an eyebrow and has an amused smile on his face. He wasn't expecting you to feel the need to hide your identity, were you some sort of refugee? Hiding from something? You then explain to him you simply didnt feel comfortable sharing your real name with a bunch of strangers since coming to twisted wonderland, and he was easily able to accept that answer. He calls you by whatever name you prefer, it makes no difference to him, and he quickly gets over it. (If he wants to get your attention and tease you, he will use your real name)

Malleus- A little bit...hurt, in a way? You couldn't trust him with your real name? He knew others thought he was scary and didnt trust him for his lineage, however he had to remind himself that you were different than them. You were kind and understanding, and he had to push back his childish thinking. He did the same thing in fact, hiding his name from you until learning far after your meeting. Perhaps you had your reasons as well, and he respects that, and warms his heart slightly coming to terms that you had entrusted him with that information. He uses whatever name you feel the most at ease of hearing, but there will be times in which you two are alone and he gets in his feelings. Hearing your name sound so sincere and loving coming from his lips makes it sound sweeter than you remember.

Azul + the Leech brothers- Shocked. Flabbergasted. You did it in such a cool way too, you signed his contract using a name he wasn't familiar with. "You are aware that using a fake name won't do you any good, Right?" He had pointed out. You gave him a smirk and crossed your arms, "Who says its fake? In fact, the name I signed is indeed my REAL name. I thought I might as well use my real name, to show how confident I am that your little tricks will not fool me." Jade simply smiled and nodded in approval, whilst Floyd began laughing hysterically at Azuls reaction (his mouth hung open. He just convinced himself you had an inflated ego.) Needless to say, they will not forget that moment in a while.

Crowley- Blames you and says "Well of course I couldn't find your records anywhere or continue with my investigation on your case, you didnt even give me an accurate name to go by!" (In reality he wasn't doing anything to help you, he just thought this gave him an out and more time to think of something. You knew this.) The gaslighting king, and good at making you feel bad for not enrolling into the school by providing your full real name. You rolled your eyes and kept doing what you were doing (slay)

Kalim- he gets super excited, and fully respects you by any name you go by. He showers you in compliments and says its such a nice and fitting name for a person such as yourself. He smiles brightly and locks arms with you; "(fake name) or (real name), they both suit you well! You're still the prefect I love, regardless of what name you use!" .... But then he starts to ask you why, and it turns into an hour long conversation about names. (Probably tries to suggest names that would suit you)

Jamil- A little surprised at first, however he never made a big deal out of it and didnt care much. He shrugged and continued using the name you had given him, its what you chose to go by, is it not? So he will continue to do so. (Inwardly he understands why you hid your true identity, but also thinks its silly in a way. Why would you go so long without sharing something as small as a name? But it was a one time thought, and never dwelled on those questions.)

Vil- Also doesn't make a big deal out of it. Your name suits you well, he will ask what you prefer to go by, however. If you aren't comfortable using your real name, who is he to judge? He asks you once about why you chose to use a fake name, and he respected it. "Or I can just call you prefect, if you prefer? Your title precedes your name, and it's a form of respect. How does that sound?" You chuckle and say that you trust him enough to be on a first name base, and he responds with a slight blush. You really know how to see past his professionalism.

Rook- Add it to his list of things he knows about people and probably knows too much about people. He stores it in his mind along side with your weight, your height, your frequented places in the school, your gym scores, the height you can jump, how fast you finish your lunch, how big your hand is, your shoe size, how many hairs are on your head... "magnifique! I just love learning new things about you, it never ceases to amaze the mysteries you hold! Please, tell me more!"

Epel- A little bit disappointed you hadn't told him sooner. He gets over it quickly, but he was still a little upset to hear that he was one of the last people to find out what your real name is! Not that it truly matters, but a persons name is a persons treasure, and he wanted a part of the great reveal! (It wasn't THAT great. It came up casually, he's just a little sentimental and dramatic sometimes.) He ends up carving your name out of an apple, he says he made it cause' he was bored and no other reason, but in reality he really likes your name more than he leads on.

Ace/deuce/Grim- What do you MEAN that the past year they have been calling you by a FAKE/NICKNAME This entire time?? Do you have that little faith in them???? When you explained to them you had simply rolled with it when you first arrived to twisted wonderland and became accustomed to it, the name flowed off your tongue as natural as breathing. It had nothing to do with trust as time went on. They were all so dramatic about it though. "Our Prefect LIED to us!" They cried out, prostrating themselves on the floor and demanding you buy them food in to compensate 'the emotional damages' they claimed you inflicted upon them. You rolled your eyes and laughed playfully as the three of them whined about your "distrust" in them.

You had expected a lot of things when you started dating Lilia Vanrouge. Exciting adventures? Of course. Unpredictable antics? Definitely. A potential lifetime of mischief and chaos? Absolutely. But what you hadn't expected was suddenly being labeled as the "mom" of Diasomnia.

It all started innocently enough. You were sitting with Lilia in the Diasomnia lounge, enjoying one of his surprisingly well-made cups of tea (you had learned long ago to politely decline anything he cooked himself). Silver, Sebek, and Malleus were all gathered around, each absorbed in their own activities, when suddenly, Silver—half-asleep, as usual—murmured, "So… does this mean Y/N is our mom now?"

The room fell into silence. You choked on your tea. Lilia, ever the instigator, merely grinned, his crimson eyes twinkling with amusement. "Oh my, how delightful! It seems the family is expanding. What do you say, dear? Will you take on the noble role of mother to my adorable children?" He winked at you playfully, clearly enjoying your flustered reaction.

"W-what? That's not—!" You stammered, looking to the others for help.

"You are dating Lilia-sensei, after all," Malleus said thoughtfully, tilting his head. "In human terms, that would make you a parental figure to us, correct?"

"Absolutely not!" You waved your hands frantically. "That’s not how it works!"

"Ridiculous!" Sebek thundered, crossing his arms. "You are unworthy of such a title unless you can properly guide and discipline Master Malleus!"

Lilia chuckled. "Now, now, Sebek. Parenting isn’t just about discipline. It’s also about love and care. And I do believe Y/N has provided us with both."

Silver, who had slumped against the couch, barely opened one eye. "They do nag like a parent."

"I do not nag!" You protested. "I just make sure you actually sleep, eat properly, and don’t run yourselves into the ground—"

There was a pause.

Lilia smirked. "That does sound rather parental, doesn’t it?"

Sebek gasped, horrified. "No! I refuse to acknowledge this!"

Malleus, however, gave you a pleased smile. "I find this arrangement quite agreeable. Having another parental figure sounds… nice."

Your protests fell on deaf ears as Lilia leaned into your side, laughing. "Congratulations, dear. It seems you’ve been officially promoted."

And just like that, you had become Diasomnia’s honorary mom.

and Grim is hungry for that prime Briar Valley old money tuna so he tells you to just get on with it already

so, with nothing to show for your weeks of pestering Silver (except a dull headache from that time Sebek told you to go back home and stop bothering them),

you just... say it

to your relief, Lilia looks rather surprised with your confession (maybe he didn't know, after all!)

More general thoughts:

Idia and Malleus are quite the pair to be dating

Once the students around the school are able to confirm it’s true that you are, in fact, dating both of them, news spreads quickly

Malleus doesn’t care so much about the news, why shouldn’t people know you’re together?

Idia however, is very overwhelmed by it all

Regardless of how long you’ve been dating, he still sometimes has these moments of thinking “How did I get here? Did I upgrade my charisma stats without knowing? Was it the charisma stat that made them fall, or was it a different stat?”

And as someone who prefers to stay in the background and avoid the public eye, the fact that everyone at school knows you’re dating him and Malleus causes a lot of panic

We’re talking like barely leave his room even just into Ignihyde kinda panic

It takes a while for him to calm down, and he gets spooked when people bring it up thinking they’re comparing him to Malleus

He might subtly be inviting you to his room more often because he needs the support without saying he needs he support

Speaking of support, let’s talk about how they want support/show support

Now these two are more reserved people, and tend to keep a lot of their thoughts inside and tend to stray away from large crowds. That being said, they simply enjoy your presence being in the same area as them, double the effect if both you and the other are there

Malleus enjoys having you and Idia there, and Idia enjoys having you and Malleus there (regardless of how out of place Malleus looks in his room)

Idia prefers doing his own thing while you guys do your own thing in the same area, while Malleus prefers doing activities together

But oh boy, these two feel most supported if you listen to them

I hope you’re a good listener, because wow these two can go on for hours if you let them

Idia and Malleus both love when people they care about get interested in the things they love, and get even more excited when they ask questions

They aren’t too physically affectionate people though

Idia gets nervous and panics at small unexpected touches, and Malleus keeps touches light and respectful

Most of the times it’s hand holding, a hand on your lower back as you walk, and maybe a hug if they’re feeling it

They coordinate surprisingly well when it comes to special events like your birthday, holidays, or school festivals

Instead of spending time one on one with them, they both are there for you during events

Idia likes it because people tend to steer clear of Malleus and there's guards keeping things out of his way, so Idia doesn't have to worry as much about dealing with people (the only unfortunate part is dealing with Sebek)

You basically get the royal treatment just by being with them, and that's the way they believe it's supposed to be

They are very mindful of each other during these events too. Malleus is careful about going into largely populated areas, and Idia tries to make sure Malleus is included in activities (in Idia's awkward way)

The dynamic being in a relationship with both of them works pretty well!

And then there's the friends/family

Lilia:

Lilia is actually very happy about this

Briar Valley culture is a bit...reserved and old fashioned, but Lilia is a man who's open to seeing and experiencing new things, so he's happy to see Malleus is too!

Having one partner is great, but two? He's very happy for Malleus

He does worry about how things will work out in the future with Malleus being royalty and having two partners, but that's an issue for later

He's pretty happy it's you and Idia of all people too!

Lilia loves video games, so he helps Malleus learn about them so he can communicate and bond better with Idia, and he's happy because then Malleus can play with him too

He feels like a proud dad watching Malleus with you and Idia

Silver:

Silver hasn't interacted with Idia much, so he can't speak on Idia's character, but he knows you! And he thinks you're good for Malleus, so he has no objections

As long as Malleus is happy, he really doesn't mind however Malleus chooses to have a relationship

He's pretty accepting of almost anything, so he doesn't even question the three of you dating or anything

He does try to get to know Idia more because of this though! Since Silver is the most calm among Malleus' guards, it actually goes pretty well and him and Idia communicate well

Sebek:

What do you expect, really? Of course Sebek is freaking out

His Liege has TWO partners?! What?!

Don't get him wrong, he has nothing against people having multiple partners, to each their own

But this is Malleus! The future ruler of Briar Valley! Sebek is going crazy that Malleus even has one partner and is of course judging them heavily to see if they're good enough for Malleus, but now there's two to judge!

Yeah, Idia avoids Sebek as much as possible

Sebek really doesn't want to question Malleus and his decisions, but he doesn't see the appeal of Idia

Malleus is quick to shut down Sebek's judgement and criticisms once he's aware of them, and Sebek will feel terrible

Ortho:

He's ecstatic!

Ortho has been trying for so long to get Idia out more and among more people, and you and Malleus help him a lot with that and he can tell you both make Idia really happy!

He's very proud of Idia and has no issues with you or Malleus

Sometimes he worries about Idia comparing himself to Malleus, but he's seen you and Malleus reassure him before, and how deeply the two of you care for Idia

Ortho feels like he doesn't have to worry as much about Idia since he has the two of you with him

He knows in his heart that the three of you will last a very long time

♡ —> Riddle is knowable about Baku’s and was surprised that he met one, much less, you being his S/O, Riddle noted that it seems you, Ya-chan and Te-chan are inseparable, he hoped that those two Baku’s don’t cause trouble in NRC or Heartsbyul but was pleasantly impressed of how reliable those two are. <3

♡ —> Riddle always tries to keep his distance from Ya-chan and Te-chan since he still has duties to do and work as well, but he sometimes gets distracted by your little companions. You quietly notice how stressed Riddle is since the upcoming exam and you try to figure out ways to calm him down or at the very least make him feel less stressed out and have a positive outlook… <3

♡ —> Riddle was confused by seeing another his Darling’s companions after you ask him to stay in his dorm room for a little comfort “session”…the little Baku strangely looked similar to you until you spoke and he realized that’s you in your original form! He stared at you with awe and the fact you have two forms is so interesting. <3

♡ —> Riddle yet he finds himself now lying down with a little Baku in his arms, Ya-chan and Te-chan preparing a meal for the two of those lovebirds, it was a strange feeling yet was welcomed. He wanted to pay back for what you, Ya-chan and Te-chan had done for him but you simply said this is free of charge and you wanted him to feel less stressed out about the upcoming exam so you figured that this would calm him down but his Darling told him that “The deeper we bury them, the harder we forget to find ways to wind ourselves down, we often find ourselves stressed out about the future instead of focusing on the present” <3

♡ —> Riddle but he couldn’t accept that, he wanted to repay his Darling with something at least, he figured that he’s gonna bring a bouquet of your favourite flowers and a tart! It’s the least he could do for them but he still wanted to repay you back…<3

♡ —> Deuce heard about Baku’s since they’re known to devour nightmares but he wasn’t aware that they can eat dreams as well, to him; he should’ve known that information about Baku’s can also devour dreams! He felt so ashamed that because his Darling is a Baku. Yet you weren’t angry that Deuce didn’t know that information but instead let him know that it’s a great opportunity to learn about Baku’s, especially in person! <3

♡ —> Deuce literally can’t stop staring into your eyes because they’re so unique especially those unique shapes of pupils but he quickly apologized for his staring when he noticed you looking back at him! He didn’t want to make you uncomfortable, he can’t help it! Your eyes are so beautiful and soft-looking, he can’t help but feel safe and secure around you! <3

♡ —> Deuce always makes some sweets with some help with Trey, he figured he should make you sweets after each of your difficult sessions with your client after all, he doesn’t want his love to feel down about their abilities or anything like that <3

♡ —> Deuce loves whenever you yap about your day and in exchange he yaps back, you guys could talk for hours and hours! Sometimes he gets those cuteness aggressions because come on! You’re so adorable and your voice is gorgeous, he doesn’t want anyone to say otherwise or else, he simply loves you so much <3

♡ —> To Deuce, he thinks he’s lucky to have you as his partner because you’re so caring and the fact you help people makes him wanna be like you someday which he tries to do for you! ♡ —> Rook was always curious about Ya-chan and Te-chan, he wondered if they can run and if they have another form just like yourself, he finds it adorable of how determined they are to assist you, he admires about how emotional Ya-chan can be and for Te-chan; how rational she is, like they’re opposite of each other in a way yet they somehow manage to stay together to assist his Darling! ♡ —> Yes, Rook has and will keep painting / sketching you and your unique features, he likes sketching you when you’re doing something else without you noticing that he’s drawing you, he simply wanted to surprise you when he finally finished sketching your portrait and to show how unique your features is <3

♡ —> Rook knows what Baku’s are and always wondered what’s it like having his beloved dreams devoured by a Baku, what would happen to him? Would he loose his sanity or would something better happens? Thus, he asked his Darling to devour his dreams, you were shocked because of how precious dreams can be and the outcome, you had expected him to ask you to devour his nightmares not dreams! You try to explain why you aren’t going to do that but can devour nightmares instead which he agreed to! <3

♡ —> Rook literally loves your soothing voice! It isn’t a surprise that he loves everything about you, he often finds himself charmed by your soothing voice and it makes him wanna seek that feeling even more, it makes sense that you work as a clinical psychologist! He has written a poem of your voice and sang it out loud in public much to your embarrassment but you appreciate his…unique ways he shows his love to you <3

♡ —> Epel thought those little critters of yours would be nothing but causing trouble! But his opinion changed when he saw how those two little Baku’s try to assist you in battle and every day activities, which made him a bit insecure about his capabilities thus he started helping you more often such as bringing you lunch or giving you medication whenever you’re feeling sick. He wanted to prove himself that you could rely on him as well! Instead of those two adorable Baku’s! <3

♡ —> Yes, Epel is a bit arrogant of how gorgeous you are and the fact that you’re his S/O, he has bragged about how gorgeous you are and the fact you help people, yet he still wants to prove himself that he’s the perfect man for you and hopes to become more “manly” for your approval, though you keep on telling him that it’s great that he’s working on himself, he should embrace his natural looks and you still love him no matter what, BUT he finds himself deeply in love with you even more <3

♡ —> Epel couldn’t bear the thought of people thinking his Darling is “weird-looking” because they must wearing blindfolds if they think his Darling is weird-looking! That ain’t true at all! He had gotten into fights due to that, whenever he overheard someone talking bad about his S/O, he had to defend his Darling’s name! Although, he kept being reminded by his Darling, that “some people are insecure about themselves and they lash out on others but it’s best if we ignore their words and hope they change for the better” <3

♡ —> since he still wanted to prove himself, lately he has been cooking for his Darling but sometimes Ya-chan and Te-chan somehow finishes cooking before Epel is done, he’s a bit butt hurt about it…but it just makes him wanna learn more in order to cook faster! But slowly, Ya-chan and Te-chan began helping him which he slowly agreed, each day, until they agreed to work together on preparing a meal for his Darling! And Ya-chan even made a meal for Epel’s hard work <3

♡ —> Epel finds himself playing with your tail whenever he gets a bit angry after Vil scolding him or he loses in a game, originally, he wasn’t going to do it at all because it’s embarrassing and weird, yet you reassured him that it’s okay just as long he doesn’t pull it at all, he only does it when you’re both alone and he loves you talking! It calms him down whenever you talk about your day even Ya-chan and Te-chan giving him snacks helps his day as well <3

Especially towards Ya-chan but he means no harm to the poor Ya-chan while Te-chan tries to help the poor little Baku! They’re simply too adorable to ignore but perhaps, Ya-chan and Te-Chan should let Lilia help them with the meal preparation as a “asking forgiveness” gesture to them…? <3

♡ —> Since his Love is a Baku, he wondered if he could see your original form since Ya-chan and Te-chan looks so squishy and adorable in that form of theirs! He simply wants to see his Love’s original form and cuddle with you! He finds both your more human-like form and your non-human form adorable, if you’re willing to; he could let you wear a small little hoodie if it rains or it’s too sunny outside or let him put a little bow on your head <3

♡ —> Don’t be surprised if Lilia decides to spoil you with his love or even say that you’re so gorgeous each time he sees you in the dorm, he wants to spoil you so let the old man do it please plus pulling small pranks is his love language basically, he wouldn’t do something extreme because he doesn’t want his Love to be uncomfortable, of course! But if you’re willing to, he could put a little bow on your tail of yours or a little bat shaped pin on your hair <3

♡ —> Lilia is a bit protective over you so sometimes his little bats watch over you if something happens then they will notify him but that wouldn’t happen because you’re a strong Baku and those little companions can help as well but he always warns you to be careful about your surroundings, he simply doesn’t want to lose someone close to him <3

♡ —> Lilia’s nickname for you had always been “Darling” or “Starling” for no other reason then you shine so brightly like the moon, he’s a bit of a romantic and loves cuddling with you! He doesn’t want to leave behind poor Ya-chan or Te-chan so he lets them join in since they’re hardworking and deserve to take a break just like you <3

♡ —> Malleus finds it interesting that he met a Baku especially as interesting as you, it’s been a while since he met a Baku, and he finds it interesting that those two little Baku of yours always assisted you, even in combat, he was always known to be protective of you when you two started dating but now he’s feeling quite protective towards Ya-chan and Te-chan as well, it’s clear that those two little Baku’s are important to you and he doesn’t want his Darling to be hurt if Ya-chan and Te-chan were injured! <3

♡ —> Malleus couldn’t bear the thought of Ya-chan and Te-chan or his Darling being injured, he keeps on thinking of the worst outcome and sleeping is starting to become difficult, he seems to be always near you just in case, you are independent and can fight just fine but he isn’t gonna let the small chance of you being injured happened, you had noticed his behaviour changing subtly, you wanted him to be honest with you in your relationship, thus you let Malleus tell his feelings and what’s happening currently! If there’s a chance to help ease his mind then you are willing to do it <3

♡ —> You offered you could devour his nightmares if he wanted to after you heard his fears, while it doesn’t immediately fix anything, it could be the first step towards happiness, it almost slipped Malleus’s mind, of course! You can devour nightmares and dreams as well! Although you also have to be in a slumber to do it as well yet he agreed to it. nightmares tasted bitter like a tang of rust and a chaotic mix of seasonings, it broke your heart that Malleus is worried about Ya-chan and Te-chan and your lives. </3

♡ —> Malleus felt relieved but he still had that lingering feeling of fear of his Darling and their little companions lives, you always reminded him that they’re fine and they could fight just fine but if something happens to them then he can help them and you, his darling reminded him “it’s best to focus on the present moment instead of focusing the future, while we can’t control the future, we can control what’s going on in the present” he was tired, he wanted to sleep for the night, his love is next to him; Ya-chan and Te-chan comforting Malleus, it feels so calming <3

♡ —> Malleus doesn’t take it too well when someone makes bad comments about his love's appearance or their clothes, especially behind his back, if he wants to smit someone then he would but he doesn’t want to for the sake of his Darling and his reputation as the Prince, he always tells them that your beauty is like the moon, some may not understand it but others know how gorgeous the moon is and can be, each night, he tells you those words <3

Summary: Romantic comfort from Jade, Malleus, and oddly enough Mettaton

- Jade would 100% smile at you entertained at how pathetic you look

- For Merpeople they don't get sick, unlike humans.

- However, they can be infected if they come across a sick land dweller and can spread it to other Merpeople but it would be gone like it never existed

- Since Jade was transformed into a human he would get sick every now and then but would have quite a great immune system after awhile but here he was hovering over your bed staring down at you

- Your body laid in bundle of blankets red faced and tired with sweat dripping from your temple staring up to your boyfriend who smiled down on you

- "My I can get Azul to-" "Jade... I will throttle you if you try to get me to sign a contract to get better" "It was only just a suggestion"

- Silence filled the room as the door closed leaving you to sigh thinking you were left alone before hearing the door open again with Jade holding up a drink and some medication

- The whole time Jade would tease you as he helped you sit up drink water and take care of you as you were sick

- Jade sighed as he cupped your face a unfamillar softness in his eyes as he spoke "You know-" "Jade I swear-" your hand reached out to cover your mouth gagging causing Jade to quickly get a bucket and place it near your bed patting your back as he winced at how you spewed your guts into the bucket.

- He tilted his head checking her forehead lips pursed “you're burning up.” he sighed before after giving you more water to drink pampering you

- He pushed you onto your back and made sure you were completely covered and comfortable

- As you laid in bed, your face staring at the ceiling muttering a small thank you, Jade smiled softly sitting by your side taking care of you with the softest of smiles his sharp teeth peeking out as he giggled at how you slapped his hand away once more when he went to squish your face

- Fae's have a strong immune system so getting sick was quite rare so with how he was hovering over you worrying over small coughs, or slight sniffle, has him looking at you with slight panic yet kept on trying to persuade to heal you yet he was always met with you bapping his face

- Malleus hummed as he was poking your cheek with his clawed nail for a couple seconds watching your face squish as you whined tiredly

- "Are you dying?" "No I'm sick" "Oh..."

- unfortunately the flu in twisted wonderland was something that you haven't adapted to so here you were laying in bed

- You felt so cold body shivering even under the blankets sweat clinging onto your skin yet at the same time your entire body was overheating

Do you guys ever think about Lilia and how he was changed during those 200 years? All the unconditional love he has? And how that was possible because of Malleus?

Lilia wouldn’t be the Lilia we know today if it wasn’t for that time of his life.

He had nothing left. His childhood friends gone. No title. Banished. He was walking aimlessly in life without any purpose

But then he was given a purpose.

He came back not as General Vanrouge but just Lilia Vanrouge.

He has a purpose now and his purpose was Malleus. A reason for him to live.

The very thing Maleanor wanted of him, for not only Lilia to live but also her son. Be each other's purpose.

Lilia traveled, he constantly looked for ways to hatch Malleus, and he changed during these travels and opened his eyes to humans.

Lilia learned and changed and loved and it was all because of that little egg.

He wasn't willing to do that before when he was General Vanrouge, but Malleus became his reason to live and his hope.

He would return to that egg and talk to him, tell him stories, he would rest next to that egg, and he would let his guard down because Malleus was his constant and his rest/peace.

Malleus showed Lilia that he could love, without him, Lilia would have always been that stubborn headed General thinking he didn't need a family, children were a hassle, etc.

Lilia learned that he could love because of him. It gave him peace and hope in a way he hadn't had it before.

Lilia learned the joys of cooking and enjoying food with a loved one. He put more effort to learning and expanding his knowledge so he could see him smile.

He learned and taught Malleus instruments to spend time with him. He learned the joys of running after a baby who threw tantrums and sneaking him cotton candy.

The joys of helping dress a child and feeding him. He sought for peace because of Malleus and wanted him to be free and get along with his human neighbors.

He chose to raise Silver because of him because he wanted to be a good example of what he taught. In return, this allowed him to expand his horizons and not just get along with humans but love them too (and through these actions, so did Malleus learn as well). He went to NRC because he wanted to be able to spend time with his family and expand their relationships and connections.

He wanted a family and he got that because of Malleus.

He wanted Malleus to learn and get along with humans, to have friends. Give Malleus the same love and experience that Malleus taught him even before he was born.

And Malleus? Malleus loved Lilia even before he was born. He reached out to him, rejected his grandmother’s magic, lived, and threw a tantrum because of how much he loves Lilia.

After he was born, from the stories we hear, you can see how much Malleus continues to love Lilia. Recalling fond memories as mentioned before, taking care of Silver because that would make Lilia happy, learning and getting along with humans for Lilia, always heeding and taking to heart everything Lilia says, wanting to make him proud, sneaking away to see him, etc.

Malleus literally did everything for Lilia that Lilia did for him.

Malleus gave Lilia love, peace, and hope for the present and future and Lilia returned that as well.

Lilia wants Malleus to learn, so even when Lilia isn't here anymore, Malleus will always have this love with him. The same love he gave Lilia.

So, in the future, Malleus will always have this cherished feeling with him.

He won’t be lonely anymore, like how General Vanrouge wasn’t lonely anymore because of that special little egg.

I apologize in advance if this has been asked already but I wasn't sure. But, are there specific ages that classify a Fae's stage in life. Like, when are they considered a child, a teenager, or an adult? I was curious if there was any information on it.

We learn a lot about fae during the Fairy Gala events such as how there are many kinds, with smaller faeries being fearful of larger faeries and many requiring translators to communicate with one another!

Lilia explains that the Draconia family are especially long-lived, even for fae, so it seems that life stages might vary according to what subset of fae we are talking about.

Maybe there cannot be a blanket explanation of, "at this age all faeries reach the human equivalent of teenagers," for example--there might be a lot that varies depending on if we mean nocturnal/diurnal fae, small/large fae, dragon/bat fae, etc.!

Malleus is 178 years old and I have seen discussions sometimes that this particular number may have been selected in order to make him the faerie-equivalent of 17.8 years old in human years, which would make sense given when it was that he was invited to NRC, but this clashes with additional information we receive from Lilia:

He explains that, due to their particularly long lifespans, members of the Draconia family are "children at 200 and still youthful at 500...only around the age of 1,000 do they fully mature."

If we were following the "move the decimal" calculation that turned 178 into 17.8, that would be the equivalent of Lilia saying that they are not full mature until they reach the human-equivalent age of 100!

On the subject of JP-side discussions, here is a translation from Malleus' Pixiv profile!

It is mentioned in the story by Lilia that "1,000 years old is considered an adult" for dragons. If we consider "adult" as equivalent to coming of age, and we assume that the age of adulthood in Twisted Wonderland is unclear but is 20 years old by human standards, then 1,000 ÷ 20 = 50. This would mean that for Malleus, 1,000 years would be equivalent to 50 human years. Given that he is currently 177 years old, this would roughly translate to being around 3 to 4 years old in human age (which helps explain the immaturity of his actions thus far).

Based on Lilia’s example, I think the entrance permission might be given around the equivalent of 15 human years (since Lilia’s mention of "hundreds of years" is likely a rough estimate). It’s confirmed that the Draconia species matures much slower than humans, so even if they start at the same age as everyone else, their maturation speed would naturally be slower as well. So, I think he might still be around 15 years old. If it’s because of his high abilities and he's being treated as a special case, there might even be a possibility that he's still quite young.

If Malleus is about 5 in human years, the reason for his overblot seems kinda cute to me...

I don't think he's really a pre-teen, though. However, since it takes quite a while to go from 16 to 18 in human years, it’s possible that the acceptance letter came at the time he would be considered 16, and if he entered straight after, he might be roughly the same age as the first-year students now.

When Trey-senpai was introducing the dorms in Chapter 1, he mentioned the possibility of skipping grades when discussing Diasomnia, so there might be a chance that Malleus is younger in human years. Now that I think about it, that could have been foreshadowing...?

If we consider 1,000 years as the equivalent of adulthood at 20 human years, then if Malleus is 200 years old (hypothetically), simple calculations would make him about 4 in human years. That would make him younger than Cheka. While it's true that he’s lived for several hundred years, his maturity level is likely quite different from a human who lived the same number of years.

Lilia himself seems close to the "move the decimal" calculation pattern, as that would make him the human-age equivalent of 70 years old now, receiving his NRC acceptance letter at the equivalent of age 20 and losing Maleanor at the equivalent age of 30, after proposing to her when they were children around the age of 10.
