How do you think Davy Jones and Calypso met? What do you think about their relationship ?

HWOAGGHH okay so let's get right into it

Supplemental POTC sources talk about Davy Jones basically being this incredibly skilled sailor likely from wealth and means who was able to impress Calypso and gain her favor through his seafaring abilities

It's a cool origin story and I've played around with it in fic, but I've always wondered what SPECIFICALLY about him caught her eye, because he wasn't the only great sailor of his time---like, he'd have to have done something absolutely bonkers in order for the goddess of the sea to take notice

I love hearing headcanons about this, but the flavor of origin story I've ascribed to him in most of my fics is "humble beginnings" / tragic war history / desertion / escape to sea

In my stories, what Davy Jones brings to seafaring and captaining his own ship that is interesting to Calypso is both a humility about his place in life and an obsessive devotion to the sea as the one thing worth living for / keeping him alive

He's not in it for profit, he's in it for survival and ends up aiding others---I have the Flying Dutchman (visually of Dutch design, 16th century, built like a slave trading ship) taken from Dutch slave traders at the height of their operations and the captives freed, both as a practicality on Jones' end (incredibly useful type of ship that balances speed and firepower) but more importantly as a compassionate act. There has to be a reason why Calypso chose him for the most compassionate role in the world, the most essential job in easing the dead into the next life.

I don't think that it's a coincidence that Calypso appears in the mortal form that she does, I think that witnessing men's greed as the soul of the sea has made her particularly sympathetic to the atrocities of the stealing and transport of West Africans to other parts of the world, countless of whom drowned and chose to throw themselves into the sea rather than face a life of subjugation. THIS resonates with her, this makes sense to her, her entire story is about having her freedom taken from her, and for that I deeply appreciate the casting and characterization choices they went with canonically, because it lends itself to such rich meta analysis. A lot of fan characterizations of Calypso paint her as completely discompassionate, uninvolved, and uncaring about the world of men, but I do not agree with this, I see her interest in humanity being much more complex, with hate, reverence, love, and disdain all mingled together

And that's ultimately why Jones stands out to her first, because he is one of the few/only people at sea not for profit, his freedom is wrapped up in the sea, and he has enough of a broken past that makes any kind of devotion he displays deeply and overwhelmingly all-or-nothing

It's this that lends itself to the imbalance of power and lack of compromise between them, which then leads to the betrayal, etc etc. But they are at the core of their relationship the two people who understand each other more than anyone else in the world could, but they are still mired in misunderstandings because they are a human and a god, because those relationships are doomed by nature of what they are, because you can never fully understand someone whose concepts of time, devotion, and reality are so fundamentally different to your own.

I love thinking about how terrible they are for each other and how no one else in the world fits better together than them. Their story is the most pivotal and interesting piece of lore to the trilogy, and ultimately the reason why I think P4 and P5 fell flat---because the writers kept scrabbling for something mystical and fantastical to try and replicate this, but nothing came anywhere close to reproducing that same love and meaning of the Jones/Calypso Elizabeth/Will contrast. Which I could also go on and on about but I'll stop here!

Hrghhhf so manyyyyy I hate choicessssss…all of the games I’ve mentioned already absolutely. I’ll pick one that I like the atmosphere of but don’t really play much bc the other aspects don’t appeal to me as much.

Sea of Thieves. Loooove the pirate vibes and the art style and the general feel of the world. Was on cloud nine when they partnered with potc for a few quest things. I spend like at least an hour playing on Davy Jones’ organ during that. Almost never play it tho bc a) I have no friends (who have it lmao) and b) pvp isn’t really my thing, I prefer story and really would be content to just go around doing the potc quests over and over again (which if you want. Hit me up I will be an insufferable nerd the whole time constantly geeking out because potc is one of my favorite things ever)

First of all - Tysm! 💕 And I agree 100%. He needs more recognition and love, there is not much content of him so I am more than happy to be able to create it myself and share it with people who like him as much as I do.

And secondly - AAAAAAAAA! it makes me so so so happy that you are interested to hear about her. 🥰 She is my rp/original character I use in the rp I am writing with my bestie (it's still in the making). My friend is a writer and she is currently rewriting it in a form of a book/ fanfiction that we will, hopefully, post online once it's done (wattpad and maybe other platforms). For now it will be only in Polish though, but maybe one day we will try and translate it. My artworks however, have English dialouges to try and hopefully reach a wider audience. :)

The title is "Krew, seks i piraci" ("KSiP" in short) which stands for "Blood, sex and pirates" in English. The whole thing is 18+ because of violence and erotic scenes. (the title clearly indicates it.)

The book is completely fanon. We just took what the canon gave us and created our own headcanons for the PoTC characters and lore for our original characters.

As for the plot...

The story begins with two sisters living in Cornwall who come into possession of two Aztec gold coins. When the crew of the Black Pearl attacks the city, Abigail and Layla Morgan find themselves aboard Barbossa's ship, where they are forced to survive. They endure the hardships of life on the ship, while still planning and trying to escape. During one storm, Abby falls overboard and ends up aboard the Flying Dutchman as a part of his crew. She goes through a mutation after which she has shark-like teeth and gills, but her body doesn't transform completely because of the effect she has on the cursed Captain Davy Jones. She also befriends Maccus and Crash (they are her besties, her bigger brothers she can always rely on). Here the adventure divides, a clear transformation of both sisters is presented. At the same time, feelings develop both between Barbossa and Lee (Layla's nickname) and between Jones and Abby. Each sister has her own adventures, trials and tribulations. While Lee discovers her past and destiny, Abby experiences perturbations in her relationship with Jones, when the obsessed with her James Wincott (a narcissist who wants to continue Blackbeard's glory) appears. In addition, several more characters are introduced who influence the development of the plot - primarily Jack Sparrow, but also our original characters, such as Lobart (a Frenchman, Abby's 'adoptive' father, an emotional trickster with a clouded past) and Johnny the Buccaneer (an elderly hustler who hates the French). There are also other characters involved in the story. Both plot paths intertwine, striving for a common culmination and ending.

When it comes to fanfic tropes we decided to go with enemies to lovers for Lee/Barbossa and with slowburn for Abby/Jones. There are others such as agegap, height/size difference + a few other sexual themed tropes but I don't want to spoil everything.

When it comes to Abby I can say she is a great thief with a short temper and she is quite a rebellious little creature, which makes her relationship with Davy only more interesting.

Salazar and the whole significance of him giving Jack her new name, and so feeling some kind of inherent claim on Jack because there is power in that - and there being an undeniable connection between them that was forged on the day she tricked and killed him

Barbossa and the betrayal and all the bitterness between them, and him slowly realising that while the Pearl was still the fastest, deadliest vessel on the water; she would always be faster, deadlier with Jack’s hands on her wheel. Seeing Jack again after ten years is the closest he comes to feeling anything since they parted - since he parted them, turning on his young, bright, brilliant captain. And Barbossa hating that he itches every time she calls him 'Barbossa' instead of 'Hector'

Beckett and his fucked up possessiveness over Jack, because he met her when she was young and brilliant and just making a name for herself and she was so wild, so different from any woman he'd ever met, and the impression stuck. In another world, they might have even loved each other, but he wanted the one thing Jack refused to surrender - her freedom

Davy Jones knowing the second they pull this sodden, grief and rage-filled girl from the water that she’s marked, and he can practically taste Calypso’s hands on her sun-tanned skin; and while a part of him snarls at it another part of him wants to take something else from his old lover, even if it’s a Favoured slip of a girl. He makes the deal thinking he’ll get the best damn helmsman on the sea at the end of it - even though it feels like the very winds are laughing at him for thinking he might be the one to chain another wilful woman from her nature

Elizabeth still being in love with the idea of Jack, because here is a woman that spits in the face of everything society tries to tell them to be - and a part of her wants with a soul-deep ache

And Will also being somewhat entranced by Jack, just like he is in canon, because there's something undeniably other about her and as someone who longs for adventure, he can't help but want to press closer.

Apparently, there is some hubbub going on over a newly announced spin-off of the PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN movie franchise that Disney is planning to go forward with. One of two, actually. There was another project that was set to star Margot Robbie as the lead, but it appears that Disney is more interested in another take on the classic Disney parks ride starring Ayo Edebiri.

And of course, the usual suspects, including the wannabe-edgelord dingus running what was once "Twitter", are complaining. They're big mad that Ayo, a Black American actress, is "replacing" Depp... Never mind that this movie is a FUCKING SPIN-OFF???

Also... All of a sudden, people *love* the PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN sequels now?

I was a teenager when most of the PIRATES sequels came out, and I remember them getting rather duff critical reception. Audiences kinda didn't stick around for them, either. They all opened huge, DEAD MAN'S CHEST with a record-breaking number at the time of its release (2006), but then dropped off and had blah multipliers. The 4th film, ON STRANGER TIDES, came out when I was 18. And I just remember it coming and going, whatever. And then the fifth one, again... Just a sort of "ugh, another one?" reaction. That fifth film, titled DEAD MEN TELL NO TALES in the U.S. (SALAZAR'S REVENGE, elsewhere), just did alright. Like, near-$800m is a great amount for any movie, but it was less than the other POTC sequels.

It wasn't a problem when other big movie franchises got reboots with all-new casts. Spider-Man has been played by like three different actors in live-action over the past three decades.

I guess enough time has passed for there to be this kind of intense nostalgia for these movies. That's cool, I guess. After all, filmtwitter never shuts the fuck up about the CGI on Davy Jones, and how the first three movies are Gore's through-and-through.

As for all this clinging to Depp's iconic Captain Jack Sparrow... As if it isn't PIRATES without him?

Pal... PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN, the original dark ride attraction, opened at Disneyland in 1967. Depp was about FOUR YEARS OLD when it opened. PIRATES existed long before he had a career or had some kind of prominence in the world, m'kay? PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN is more than just one single actor. And hey, why is it just him and not director Gore Verbinski? Writers Ted Elliott and Terry Rossio? Producer Jerry Bruckheimer? They all made that first movie happen, too, ya know.

My MAJOR concern with any new Pirates movie is whether it'll be its own beast or not. I feel a lot of live-action Disney movies as of late are not directed by anyone, they're made for the directors before they get to them. The director is hired, given a template that's already ready-made for them, and then BOOM movie done. Basically the MCU way of doing it. That's kinda how it feels to me. Same studio that won't make a third TRON movie from the previous film's director and the cast (which consists of the guy who directed massive blockbuster TOP GUN: MAVERICK and an actor who lead the massive blockbuster OPPENHEIMER, Disney do you hate money or something???), instead opting for Jared Leto. Like... Make it make sense.

So, if this Ayo-lead PIRATES spin-off goes through, I look forward to it! Pirates are cool, there's still a lot to play with regarding this concept, the ride is iconic. Just... Disney... Get a really good director and let them do their thing, alright? It'll be an all-timer if you do.

My ideal PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN would be animated. With designs based on Marc Davis' exemplary concept art and resembling a 1960s Xerox-era Disney film, like a high seas JUNGLE BOOK or something incorporating the original 1967-era music of the ride. That's what I would make, although I don't know if the public would fly out in droves to watch that, lol.

General information:

This is an RP blog dedicated to my original character Selena Finley. She is my main Pirates of the Caribbean OC, though I may also use variations of her in other universes.

My main blog is @lieutenantselnia, you can find some more information about me there. The same "do not interact" rules apply so I won't be repeating them here, but to put it simply if you're a hateful or gross person please stay away.

RP-wise, I'll be sticking to PotC only for now.

At the moment I'm mainly interested in RP storylines with Hector Barbossa (romantic) and Davy Jones (romantic) - in separate universes/timelines.

If we're friends/have known each other for a while, I could also imagine writing an OCxOC storyline with our characters forming a relationship (romantic/platonic/familial depending on what fits them).

Occasional interactions with other characters of any type (canon, OC, self-insert) are allowed and welcome, but I won't longer storylines, at least for the time being.

I'm still unsure how I feel about nsfw in RP. For now I'll set the rule that I'll only write it with mutuals/people I've known for a while (through RP and/or generally), and overall keep it light. [Of course any nsfw RP will only happen with people who are also over 18! Otherwise I don't really mind age, however most of my friends and people I interact with on here are young adults like myself.]

I have a busy life balancing work and studying, plus this is blog is not my main priority, so I may not be a particularly fast writer. I'm doing this for fun and not as a chore.

I'm very new to RP in general, so I'm not that familiar with some common terms yet and am also still learning and experimenting with how to do it. Please bear with me^^

Yeah, I love how you're considering it! You're welcome about the math and dedication; I find that important in worldbuilding.

And the thing is that while the American Revolution makes for a great historical backdrop, it wouldn't be POTC without a supernatural plot arc, and there's at least one sea legend that the franchise has yet to use: Atlantis. It might be far from the Caribbean and deep underwater, but if the films have taken us as far as Singapore and as deep as Davy Jones's Locker, Atlantis might be feasible. The POTC crew could end up dragging Hamilton and some of his friends into a race against Britain to find an Atlantean treasure or weapon to use in the Revolutionary War.

And maybe instead of finding a dead city like they expect, everyone finds a surviving Atlantean civilization, much like in DC and Marvel Comics and Atlantis: The Lost Empire. Needless to say, the locals are not happy at seeing outsiders come in and try to steal their stuff, but they eventually find themselves hating the British more and allying with the POTC crew and the Patriots, even if only briefly.

Hamilton x Pirates of the Caribbean Crossover

I mean, think about it. The timeline and locations actually line up more than you would think:

Shortly after his birth in 1708, Will Turner and his parents move to North Carolina, where they would live for the next 7 years, until 1715, when his father, Bootstrap Bill Turner, joins Captain Jack Sparrow on the Black Pearl and Will moves with his mother to England.

The main events of Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl take place in 1728, when Jack Sparrow is about 38 years old and Will Turner and Elizabeth Swann are about 20.

Dead Man's Chest and At World's End happen about a year later, in 1729, including Will and Elizabeth's wedding and the conception of their son, Henry Turner, who is born about 9 months later in May(?) 1730.

Hector Barbossa is in his early 60s at the time of the events above, though probably biologically in his 50s, considering his cursed and undead status for a decade prior to COTBP.

On Stranger Tides takes place in 1750, when Jack is about 60 years old and Barbossa is in his early 80s. Dead Men Tell No Tales comes a year later in 1751, when Jack is about 61, the Turner couple are about 43, Henry is about 21, and his new love interest and Hector's daughter, Carina Smyth Barbossa, is about 19.

As the name of the film series suggests, all of the events above take place in the Caribbean, with the original trilogy centering around Port Royal, Jamaica.

Alexander Hamilton is born in 1755 or 1757 in Charlestown, in the Caribbean island of Nevis, only about 60-70 miles south of St Martin, where Henry met Jack in DMTNT. In 1757, Henry would be about 27 years old, his parents would be 49, Jack would be 67, and Carina would be 25. Henry and Carina would probably also have children around Hamilton's age group.

Hamilton moves from Nevis to the 13 American Colonies in October 1772, at the age of either 15 or 17. At this time, Henry would be about 42 years old, his parents would be 64, Jack would be 82, and Carina would be 40.

On April 19, 1775, the Battles of Lexington and Concord begin the American Revolutionary War, an 18 or 20-year-old Hamilton enlisting on the side of the Patriots soon afterwards. About a year later, on July 4, 1776, the American Colonies declare their independence from Britain, forming the United States of America. In the latter date, Henry would be about 46 years old, his parents would be 68, Jack would be 86, and Carina would be 44.

On September 3, 1783, the Treaty of Paris is signed, officially ending the Revolutionary War and cementing American independence. On this day, Hamilton would be about 28 years old, Henry would be about 53, his parents would be 75, Jack would be 93 (if still alive), and Carina would be 51.

In other words, the events and locations of POTC are close to the Revolution that at least Jack and the Turners would have still been alive, young enough, and lived close enough to meet Alexander Hamilton and his peers and play an active role in aiding the Patriots in the Revolutionary War, at least at the beginning. They could be doing so to help their family friend Hamilton, free Will's childhood home from oppression, and/or, at the very least spite the British Empire for all the trouble they've caused them. There's even historical basis for the Patriots using privateers in the War.

That would be an interesting crossover that I'm surprised to see no one write about yet.

Also a small touch up to make things more canonically accurate to POTC!

Either Calypso=Poseidon(as she goes by many names, according to Sao Feng, to the point where she may not even prefer going by Calypso)

Or alternatively, the Trident(honestly please remove it entirely, we don't need it, but an explanation is in order for it to exist) is Calypso's. You can either take Poseidon out entirely or humanity gave him the credit for it existing.

Any of these options could also set up Calypso returning in the next movie(either as a villain because you destroyed her fucking trident and potentially any curses she has ever cast or in a similar role as before), which brings in money because we know Calypso already and she isn't unpopular.

This also gives a way for other characters to come back, because a) Will is no longer captain and b) if you go with the villain idea or use Davy Jones, who you just set up for a return, that means there is a serious threat, more so than someone just having a vendetta against Jack.

There is reason to hate every single character we have grown to like and become attached to. Henry and Carina are weaker links than hardened pirates and destroyed the trident. Will and Elizabeth made Henry and are directly responsible for Davy's death. Gibbs is one of the few people Jack cares for and trusts. There is a reason for every single character to be afraid, and thus you have high stakes, this time being more emotional than large scale

Jack Sparrow

To get one thing clear Jack loves that despite living in such a horrific world you are incredibly kind it’s part of the reason he fell for you you are the jewel among stones in his eyes

So when you come to him near tears over someone walking all over you and misusing your kindness he is angry beyond belief

In all actuality Jack would probably know the person was not good and would end up pulling something before they did anything and would try his best to keep you away from them by means of kisses, pretending to be hurt or straight up picking you up and pulling you away

But you being you were endlessly kind and patient towards them

All you have to do is mutter what happened and Jack will take you to his cabin to make you feel better he hates seeing you cry and as much as he’s angry he’d rather you were okay

He fetches two bottles of rum and returns to you his plan is to go after them when you’re asleep that way he doesn’t stress you out even more but he does do a much better job than anyone would know at making you feel better

He can have you laughing within an hour, he often pulls you up to dance and drink or if you’re in a solemn mood he’ll take off his shoes and drag you to his chest to lay down and cuddle for a while or he’ll take you up on deck to watch the stars and he will give you his captains coat to make you feel warm

Jack doesn’t care if it takes him a minute or a year the people that hurt you will pay even if it means getting the whole crew involved you’re the one person he’ll protect to no end

Cutler Beckett

He’s livid almost more livid than Jack it’s actually rather scary there’s a dangerous fire in his eyes and despite being so upset you wonder if him knowing would upset him too much

However Beckett found sympathy and care for you a long time ago you seem to be the one person he cares about to no end which in a way makes the punishment for those that hurt you far more severe

He orders everyone out leading you to the nearest seat or his bed before ordering his men to capture and imprison those that took advantage of your kindness

The chances that Beckett knows who they are are high, he has eyes and ears all over the place and in a world so corrupt he likes to have an eye on you - not in a suffocating or creepy way but he likes to know you’re safe and with the right people

He makes you tea or pours some wine and asks you tell him what happened that way he decides how severely they should be punished

Typically Beckett is not affectionate or touchy in the slightest but you bring out a softer side to him and he’s more afraid of touch as he perceives it as weakness but he’ll hold you or let you talk and vent for as long as you need

Honestly it’s best if you also have a say in how the person or people go about being punished since Beckett can and will get too ruthless when it comes to you - you balance each other out and that way will come to a reasonable solution

James Norrington

Like Jack and Beckett he is furious to see you so upset from the doing of someone you trusted and took pity upon to share your kindness with

But all his rage and resent is pushed aside when he sees your eyes swimming with tears and your overall mood deflated and solemn you will always be James’ main concern and top priority

James is a huge softie deep down and he is the most affectionate in general should it come to this he loves and adores you and will stop at nothing to make sure you’re eyes sparkle with happiness

James is almost as upset as you are let him pick you up and hold you as close as he can, he’ll sit upright on the bed with you in his lap both arms tight around your waist

If you decide to rant James will listen in silence in his eyes it’s best to get it out of your system rather than bottle it up if you cry his grip will tighten and cease to falter and he’ll place kisses on your forehead whilst slowly rubbing circles in your back or arms

James gets most concerned if you go completely silent and just lay there he’ll try talking to you, make you your favourite food or drink, read you a chapter from a book you love he’ll get rather desperate to see you happy

Despite being an absolute softie and cuddly person towards you he can be the worst nightmare for anyone of the recieving end of his anger

He doesn’t get you involved with what he does to the person that hurt you but he’ll make sure they won’t do much as look at you wrong again before returning straight home to cuddle with you

Salazar

Anyone that hurt you will wish and pray they didn’t you may be kind and merciful however Salazar is not and you also know that, the best option is probably to hide what happened if you want them to live

Chances are Salazar would find out a littler sooner than you would’ve liked he can sense you’re upset, your body language is off and you’ve withdrawn

Despite his fearsome reputation he really does love you he may not be the best at it but he does try and keep his anger under control to comfort you even if it means letting you relax into his embrace

Just be weary, the second he leaves you and steps on deck he’s shouting orders to find and bring the ones that wronged you to him and they’re found pretty quickly too

God forbid it’s a member of his crew he’ll make them fear every inch of the world and get revenge it the most horrific ways possible just note when Salazar wants revenge he’s hell bent on it you’re such a rareness in the world and Salazar will not back down in defending you

If it’s someone you know and they’ve taken a serious emotional toll on you they’re practically already dead Salazar will hunt them down and in the meantime spend every waking hour with you

It scares Salazar how your emotional breakdowns somehow seep into him and he genuinely feels upset to some degree he’s really not one for emotions or affection but he is a warm hugger and if you ask eventually he’ll crack and hold you

Davy Jones

He’s a lot like Salazar in the sense that he can be and most often is merciless if someone has crossed him or even not crossed him

You can try and hide what happened all you like but Davy will always be able to read you, you could be the most convincing liar he’s met but if your sad he senses it, if you lie he senses it and lying or holding secrets will most likely drive a wedge in your relationship

However once he loves you, he loves you forever and if you’ve managed to break through his exterior and maintain a relationship with him he will treat you like the most precious thing in the world

When he walks in and sees you crying or senses somethings wrong it’s only soft touches and a few sweet words to get you to tell him at least what’s going on

Davy is better with actions rather than words and that works to your advantage since after hearing what happened he says nothing only caresses your skin wiping away a stray tear and muttering that he’ll be back later

For the time being you entertain yourself and take your mind off what happened as best you can it’s not too hard - there’s plenty of books and things you can do but you’d rather do all of that with Davy

Davy returns a few hours later he feels bad for having left you but your problem was eliminated and Davy was all yours, he’d do anything you wanted, he’d teach or play you piano, cuddle and fall asleep, read to you or over your shoulder as long as you’re with Davy everything’s that bit better

Twitter reminded me that Netflix is making a live action One Piece. My brother and I talked about how skeptical we are about how things are going to look live action. One Piece is pretty damn cartoony, even for its medium. Its world operates on cartoon logic, and I just don't think it's going to look very good unless they're willing to commit to a Pirates of the Caribbean level budget. And Netflix hates shows with big budgets, so color me doubtful. Shows I hold near and dear to my heart were canceled because they were too expensive and not popular enough to justify more seasons. (I will never forgive them for canceling The OA and Altered Carbon. Never forgive, never forget.) You have to be Stranger Things or The Witcher popular.

I bring up POTC's budget because of Davy Jones and his crew. Davy Jones still looks good even by today's standards. And Arlong and his crew would need that kind of budget to look believable next to real life humans.

And then there are just several characters that are going to require either heavy CGI or prosthetic makeup to look believable. Chopper, Brook, Franky. Idk what route they're going to take with Usopp. I don't think they're going to cover a lot of story in its first season, so I don't think they're going to even make it to Chopper, but imagine seeing Buggy and his crew IRL. Arlong and his Fish Men.

I haven't really looked into information about this show because I'm typically not interested in live action anime remakes (though live action Bebop has my attention purely for John Cho), so I don't know what their plan is. I don't know if they intend on making this more than one season, but I feel like even if they did, Netflix would cancel it for budgetary reasons.

Oh, and good luck making Luffy's powers look good!

Bad Buddy Rewatch Episode 6

let’s play a love game

so we kissed and now you won’t talk to me and I don’t know what to do probably the most realistic thing about this series thus far hahahaha

boo Pat’s dad!

and Pran leaving his guitar with Wai just made me think of PotC Davy Jones cutting out his own heart lmao

also rewatching this scene with Pat trying to go inside Pran’s house is just tough on the heart. This is basically why the series ends the way it does

and then Pat follows him to the architecture trip and oh boy, that is certainly a massive amount of effort

and we meet Tong and Junior 

this silent treatment and fervent effort combo is just lulzy but also damn Pat you are immune to death glares cuz you are getting a lot of them

also as violent as these damn kids are, is it that surprising that someone gets shot later

Pat takes an opportunity to have Junior help facilitate breaking the ice and eventually Pran relents

the market scene is cute, PatPran have a good number of domestic moments

and of course beach play is good so the BL gods can be sated

and we get to one of the big conversations of the episode and series “do you hate me”

I wish GMMTV would do some post editing and lower the background noise :(

6 episodes in and I swear some of these Pran’s friends are getting named for the first time 

so we get the night beach scene and ultimately the bet and now the game is on 

Episode 6 Final Thoughts:

As the transition between the intro to the middle, this episode had to do a lot. The faculty fighting is still going to be a thing but less of a thing as we get more about the parent’s feud. 

Pat and Pran are aware of their feelings for each other but they’re not aligned on the outlook/direction those feelings are leading them. 

Pat and Pran are both becoming some of my favorite BL characters.
