first of all cats are very misunderstood most of the times people claim that cats are assholes that they hate company and feel no love for their owners which is completely false cats simply like to stay alone and have their own little time which i heavily relate to affection is something i really like (only from my friends ofc) and i love being hugged or kissed BUT at some point i will leave to do my own little thing or else ill become overwhelmed and exhausted
cats are afraid of sudden loud noises and get scared easily i absolutely hate sudden loud noises storms and fireworks??? my enemies hate them they scare me to the point of having panic attacks and bring back very bad memories
they like to play with everything in front of them unless i am in another's person house i will take and play with absolutely anything in front of me
they like chasing things i like chasing things it's fun especially birds i like seeing them fly away i also rlly like playing tag
they like to hide under things i really like to hide under tables so i can draw or watch videos it gives me a sense of comfort and safety especially if there's a storm or my family is arguing
they like to sleep in small spaces i cannot sleep unless i am in a very tiny corner of my bed that's in-between the bed and the wall and i make a little idk fort of blankets and plushies to sleep and i sleep in a position that'll make that space even smaller (also must be hugging plushie and must be using blanket covering my head even if it's really hot)
they like to bite people i too like to bite the people that i love i believe this is enough to prove that yes i am a cat kinnie
EXTRA!!! I MEOW TOO idk whats up but irl i meow out of nowhere it just happens okay

Charhit hcs?
Uhh specifically charwhit ermmmm
Whit is a light sleeper while Charles is a deep sleeper, their mornings can be sweet i'd imagine!!
Charles might not admit nor notice it but he's just as clingy and touchy as Whit in his own way when he wants to be
Both of them are losers in my eyes, Whit can be flirty but only jokingly, he can get embarrassed to be intimate at times since I doubt he (or both of them) have any experience in being a relationship
Whit is comfortable with things considered to be feminine but I am firm on the belief that he has terrible fashion sense and will and always wear those shirts with something stupid on it
Another whit thing is that I think he'd be the one to need glasses instead of Charles (i find it hard to believe Charles had blurry vision if he wears yellow tinted goggles all the time, prolly wouldn't be the best idea if you had a problem with ur eye sight)
When they both finally make their relationship official nothing really......,. changes between them, and they couldn't ask for anything more . They still bicker and tease each other just as friends do and still care for each other just as much as before
Whit gives Charles some of his stationery items (his special weapon) cause he remembers how Charles often takes notes on things, sometimes giving him little silly stickers he finds in the storage room
They'd hang out in each other's dorms most of the time
Their conversations usually consists of childhood topics (fav cartoons, candy, games, school subjects, animals, etc. ) it's a bit silly but since it's just between them two they're comfortable enough to talk about stupid stuff like that

Get to know you - Sims Style
Sorry, @puffkins2000, I totally forgot about that thing! Anyway, thank u for tagging me ❤ I really appreciate that you mention me as your fav creator ❤
Alpha CC or Maxis Match? I use both, but in CASt I add more realistic textures for MM items if it's possible, detailed textures is really important for me. For hair I prefer now more realistic textures like @ifcasims or Plumblobs. Also I replace speculars to black in almost every item because I hate that shine.
Do you cheat your sims weight? No, I don`t care about this.
Do you move objects? I don`t build most of the time, but I use MOO for moving sims for photoshoots.
First Expansion/Game Pack/Stuff Pack? I've always had an 🏴‍☠️ game with all packs 😋
Do you pronounce live mode like aLIVE or LIVing? I don`t speak about sims in English, but I read this in my head as aLIVE.
Who’s your favorite sim that you’ve made? Christhie (and her gf Ingrid ofc but I don`t have good new portrait of her):
Tumblr media
Even if I actively use them as models for my CC, I still haven't created any special backstory for them. Only that they are girls that into nu and black metal but they are still love each other. That`s it. But they are my favorites anyway.
Which is your favorite EA hair color? Huh? I think that question is here because it was a tag game for ts4 players?... I know that in ts3 exists hair color presets, but I don`t use standard ones.
Favorite EA hair? I installed @maryjanesims3 defaults yesterday 😅 But actually I have some favs from store:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Also that BG long male hair that Gunther Goth have and SN and Decades middle length hairs:
Tumblr media
credits for pics: @ifcasims and @blamseastore
Are you a CC creator? Ofc, I love convert/create different items, it may be hard sometimes, but I really like it. But mostly I love create sims and play around in CAS.
Do you have any Simblr friends or a Sim Squad? Almost half of my friends are from the sims community 😍 @agnelid @oddballik @sagasimsworld @avirein @you-will-never-find-me-anymore @vayorika @nectar-cellar
Do you have any sims merch? No, I haven't.
How has your “Sims style” changed throughout your years of playing? To be honest, it changes every day. But for example before I started this acc I preferred more maxis-match-ish style with simple matte hair textures and genetics and other stuff, because it was looking good in other people's screenshots. But after I understand that this style doesn`t suit my current aesthetic and now I use more realistic style. Also earlier I used less sliders and my sims faces was less diverse and also really really skinny no matter what their body type is. But my sims proportions have always tended to be realistic, I only liked the cartoon/anime-like style sims when I was much younger (like 10-13 smth).
Who’s your favorite CC creator? This list will be huuugee, but I love creators that made high-quality CC and can fit my aesthetic. To be more specific: @sim-songs, @nemiga-sims-archive, @rollo-rolls, @simtanico, @rstarsims3, @ninaaposts, @satellite-sims, @polaesims, @murfeelee, @nightospheresims, @agnelid, @nectar-cellar, @ifcasims @vmsims23, @xiasimla, yesod/jesod/thorns-of-piece (I think it`s @grim-dreamer-cc now?...), @billsims-cc, @shushilda, @ziva-sims, @aroundthesims, @pitheinfinite, @martassimsbookcc, @aa6x7, Pink Dahlia, @thepathofnevermorecc, Wiktoria-Von-Frege (inactive), Aikea-Guinea and Gelydh (Inactive), @white-enamel-ts3 (inactive), Ephemera and Tifa (Inactive), @leahlillith (inactive for ts3) and many others.
How do you edit your pictures? I use Reshade with different presets (mostly by @erasabledinosaur or @intramoon), Photoshop CC 2017 (also installed Topaz Clean today) with these actions by @intramoon: SONDER, COLDWATER, BEAUTY QUEEN, LEAVING SALVATION. Also mess around in photoshop and/or use AI upscaler to make pics in better quality (I can turn on 4k HQ, but I always forgot about that). Sometimes I try something different but this is the base.
What expansion/gamepack is your favorite? World adventures, Late night, Supernatural and Generations.
What a wall of text I wrote, I hope someone reads it to the end 😅
I don`t know who to tag actually \(〇_o)/ I really late to the party with that tag game.

Writeblr Interview Tag
Thanks @sableglass for the tag. Sorry that this took me a while to get to. Time to answer some question.
Short stories, novels, or poems?
Mainly novels but also a collection of short stories. One collection of short stories is potentially becoming a novel.
What genre do you prefer reading?
Fantasy mostly. Magic and mystical creatures and all that.
Are you a planner or a write as I go kind of person?
Planner. Super planner. I usually don't write word one of a story until I have at least a skeleton for where it's going. I'll then let ideas emerge as I go, but I still stick to the plan.
What music do you listen to while writing?
I struggle not to get distracted while writing. I tend to properly write without anything to listen to.
Favorite books/movies?
Books: Discworld, The Count of Monte Cristo, Artemis Fowl
Movies: Absolute fave is The Crow. Beyond that, a big fan of stylish animated stuff.
Any current WIPs?
Oh boy, yes. I've got links.
Signs of Light and Shadow
Stitches of the Mind
The Madman and the Princess
Tales of Hero City
If someone were to make a cartoon out of you what would your standard outfit be?
I'd like to say a suit or something, but more likely it would be jeans and a green shirt. It's what I usually wear.
Create a character description of yourself:
Short brown hair, untanned skin, very light freckles, beard and a moustache. All of which is fairly scruffy and could do with a shave and a haircut.
Do you like incorporating actual people you know into your writing?
No, seems like a bad idea to me. Once or twice I named characters after friends I had, but it feels weird having stuff happen to them. I don't do it anymore.
Are you kill happy with your characters?
I very rarely kill.
There are worse things to do to your characters than kill them.
Coffee or Tea while writing?
Neither. I'm one of those weirdos who doesn't drink any sort of hot beverage. It's mainly fizzy pop for me.
Slow or fast writer?
I'd say surprisingly fast, honestly. It'll happen in bursts, but once I'm going I can get a few thousand words done in a few hours.
Where/who/what do you draw inspiration from?
TV shows, music I listen to, any media I consume. My process usually starts with "What would I do with this situation?" and follow it from there. And sometimes a story is born from that.
If you were in a fantasy world, what would you be?
A scrivener. I am a writer after all.
Most fav book cliche:
The Unflappable Badass who secretly has a heart. Sam Vimes from Discworld's Guards series, Sgt Jack Jackrum from Monstrous Regiment, The Count of Monte Cristo(sort of), Butler and Root from Artemis Fowl, and likely a heap more. Never gets old really.
Least favorite cliche:
Forced hetero romance. I love a platonic relationship between a boy and a girl in a story, and it infuriates me when they suddenly decide they're really in romantic love. It just feels cheap.
Favorite scene to write?
Honestly, self introspective scenes. Scenes where the character can just rattle around their own head and I don't need to worry about positioning or speech tags. I don't know how interesting they are to read, but I always find them fun to write.
Reason for writing?
Too many stories in my head. If I don't get them down, then they'll only be driving me mad. I need to get them out.
Alright, there we go. So, here come the tags. I'll likely tag the usual people.
@wintherlywords @tryingtowritestuff24 @fayeiswriting @mikathewriter @agirlandherquill
Sorry if you've been tagged before, but enjoy.

go ahead buddy. thats literally what this page is for
oaky. well. whenever other ppl in the fandom talked about how they first got into htf i always felt stupid about it because of the way i went about things. i, like many others, got into htf when i was a teen (it was more like 12 but close enough) but i hated the gore and the suffering of the characters so so much it was insane . it was a weird interest because htfs whole thing revolves around that stuff but i didnt like when they were hurt. i was a really sensitive(???) kid, and even in regular cartoons just seeing my favorite characters in distress would scare me and i have a lot of crying memories when i was 6-7 because of that (theres this episode of wow wow wubbzy where wubbzy hurts his tail or something and he has to go to the doctor and i have an IMPORTANT memory of running to my mom over it and needing a hug and uhhhh i dont think i ever finished that episode) i liked the htf characters and fanart more than the gore and what i used to do was watch only the first halves (sometimes less) of htf episodes before all the bad stuff happened bc that was when the characters were doing regular cutesy stuff, and right before the disaster struck id just click off to another one and repeat the process. i took a lot of comfort in pretending all these soft animals were living happily and normally and not being brutalized because i was stupidly attached to them. i thknk flippy-based episodes had it the roughest because id click off WAY faster bc a lot of his episodes are about him flipping out and i did not like fliqpy in the slightest because him being there automatically meant someone was gonna get hurt and i was like ":(" i also didnt like nutty because his crazy attitude made it so hard to predict if he was gonna get hurt or not so anytime he was on screen i was always so stressed and on the edge of my seat. and i felt really weird about it becyz nearly everyoen liked htf BECAUSE of the injury and shock but i despised it with a passion
ANYWAY im almost 19 and that was years ago and im fine with gore and my favs being in tough situations now but it was. rough. when i was younger.
oh anon, thats not something to be like- ashamed of or feel strange about! its perfectly natural and understnadable. everyone feels differently about gore, or violence, or difficult things in fiction. the whole point of fiction is that youre able to choose when something is enough and you arent having fun anymore.
youre not silly for feeling this way!

Okay so for me I was actually always emetophobic, and I hated being around people who were sick and it gave me anxiety IRL. But at the same time, whenever I read books or watched films where a character was throwing up it was always appealing to me and I liked the thought of them showing that vulnerability to the person who would inevitably take care of them. Maybe it’s the thought that they’re just losing control and can’t help it?? & for me because I’m a girl and I’m straight I prefer it when it’s the guy and his gf takes care of him🥹 what about you? Also what are your fav emeto theme tropes
- 🧶
Hello again 🧶!
Are we twins? Connected somehow? It's basically the same for me!
I think one of my first experiences was watching American Dragon : Jake Long.
There's an episode where I'm sure he gets sick after going in an amusement park ride and I remember I LOVED that episode.
And from then whenever there was an emeto scene in the cartoons or anime I watched I always felt something. But it was only when I was on my late 10s that I discovered about emeto, and finding out that there are other people who also enjoy this kind of stuff, made me happy!
So nowadays, emeto scenes in general, in movies, dramas, anime and pranks always gives me major butterflies in my stomach!!
I also only enjoy male emeto! I dont know why, maybe because boys in general try to look tough (sorry for being so stereotypical), so the idea of them lowering their guard makes me feel 🤌. I enjoy the idea of both girlfriend and male friends helping them while they're getting sick! But if I had to pick, I particularly like the idea of the male friends helping them out, maybe because I think it's cute when boys are affectionate torwards each other (and we see a lot of that in kpoo groups, and I think that's awesome, being so at ease to show affection the way they do).
As for my favorite tropes...🤔 I think I really like when the sickie starts feeling bad slowly, like, their face expression changes, they stop talking so much and grow quiet. Their friends or girlfriend notice and asks what's wrong and I like both the idea of them trying to be tough at the beginning or just admitting they're not feeling well! I think I said this before but the holding hands thing is somsthing that sents me 🤌 them seeking out for physical touch for comfort is one of my favorites! Also, the patting the back to help the sickie is absolute chef's kiss 🤌🤌🤌
Oh! I also really enjoy the school scenario, of running out of class to be sick and the friends following after them! During car rides as well, the sentences "Pull over", "I think I'm gonna be sick, stop the car" are my favorites! During a meal, as they eat their stomach start to feel funny and they politely excuse themselves to go the bathroom. Or, for kpop idols, getting sick at a concert or something like that (actually I have something like this in the oven 👀👀)
I think that's mostly it!!!

2023 Show Round-up
.Buffy the Vampire Slayer & Angel - Flawed, overly quippy, amazing character work oozing from every pore. Surprising how many contemporary actors popped in these shows before they were big. (Worst - Buffy S01, Angel S04; Best - Buffy S06, Angel S03(?); Fav - Lorne);
.Gargoyles - While some credit is warranted for a show with dark tones and heavy consequences for a lot of characters (both main and secondary) sadly the inconsistent quality of the animation, heavily flawed execution of the action setpieces, messy magic system and power levels, makes this one not worth revisiting, save for the two moments of peak comedy;
.X-Men the Animated Series - In spite of some animation jank, and Jubilee making a terrible impression during the first two episodes, the show has surprisingly decent, albeit simplistic, character work. Execution is mostly okay, resolutions more hit-and-miss. Time travel plotlines make no fucking sense;
.Spicy City - Rounding off a Ralph Bakshi arc with one of his most engaging projects, if not his best altogether (though not being a writer or animator might be seen as a jab at the man). Five (out of six) episodes of tech-noir tales, exploring a harsh cyberpunk future and the choices of different characters. And also one about voodoo magic hands, I don't know what the fuck;
.American Dragon: Jake Long - This 2005 show, about a magical asian kid protector of the world of magic and humans (in the East Coast), is always taking one step forward and one step back. Not only is there a major shift from S01 to S02, but for every good story, there's a ridiculous contrivance; for every decent new design, something looks ridiculous; with proper character writing, mostly contradicting what's come before; for every funny joke, there's a lot of mid-2000s cringe to unbalance things;
.Fantastic Four the Animated Series - First season is atrocious: incredibly childish writing; awful, overused comedy lines; cheap, lame animation. Second season is a mild improvement, but does not justify ever rewatching the show;
.Iron Man the Animated Series - First season is somehow WORSE than the Fantastic Four's, almost like a parody of old He-Man, including a team of random heroes that do nothing, but with a less chidish tone (on the surface). Once again, second season is a mild improvement, with some focus on a core line-up of characters and recurring plot points, but fails to deliver anything of quality;
.The Incredible Hulk Animated Series - While toning down the Hulk's raging nature, making him more of a misguided soul looking for acceptance and peace, it does a perfectly serviceable job with a smaller scale narrative, exploring Bruce Banner's attempts to escape custody and cure himself of his gamma radiation alter-ego. Secong season is far less engaging and the quality dips. A big, green 'Okay' overall;
.Scooby-Doo: Mystery Incorporated - For the most part, it's just the old show with a fresh coat of paint and extra teen drama that isn't sufficiently explored. The overaching plot is interesting and really comes into its own during the second season, but the individual episodic mysteries are still formulaic and lacking (with some exceptions). Not bad, but could be better, maybe if the runtime for each episode had been longer;
.Spider-Man The Animated Series - Not even close to Spectacular Spider-Man tier, several problems relating to character interactions and how they're written (special mention to the romance and Peter's 'inner' monologues). Still, it's the king of 90s Marvel cartoons for a reason, whether that's due to the comic book stories it adapted, or because it was more grounded and focused on the protagonist's struggles;
.My Life as a Teenage Robot - Blown away by how much I enjoyed this show, especially the comedy. Which is good, because it definitely leans more on the comedic toon shenanigans involving 'kidified' teen characters, than weighty stakes in plot-driven episodes (but even those are pretty well-executed, all things considered);
.Spider-Man Unlimited - It's fine. In spite of its 90s edgy coat of paint, and being a soft reboot/spiritual sequel to its predecessor, it doesn't have any eggregious issues, powers and arsenals are used accordingly, characters aren't too nuts with monologuing and have appropriate lines of dialogue. Cliffhanger ending is what mostly sours the experience;
.Animaniacs - Hit or miss, the nature of a variety show with several segments and casts of characters. But overall positive, as the good is often funny/clever, while the rest is somewhere between okay, to a tad repetitive. Favorites are the Warners, Slappy Squirrel, Chicken Boo, and lil' Flame;
.Johnny Bravo (S01) - Less exaggerated with its humor, compared to the second and third seasons, but in spite of the more simplistic artstyle it still manages to hit some really good jokes; a bunch of which kids wouldn't understand or appreciate, and are definitely more aimed at adults.

4. Fav character/subject that's a bitch to draw
tbh.. me ANDKSHF nix/starb. i love that guy (me) but hes like. just slightly complex enough to make my quest to want to draw him the same every time really hard. i love to do it though
8. What's an old project idea that you've lost interest in
uuhhhhhm. in terms of old old stuff i used to have an entire comic i was making when i was like. 12. sometimes i miss making comics. more recently. honestly i finish most of what i start bc i haaaate unfinished stuff but i sketched a version of the hapsburg lippp animation meme that i never ended up lining or anything. back in january of 2021 i think. maybe someday i'll remake it but thats a very slim chance
16. Something you are good at but don't really have fun doing
id say probably painting backgrounds? i dunno. sometimes i enjoy it but it tends to be kind of a slog but i feel like they always look nice. just takes a long time
25. Something your art has been compared to that you were NOT inspired by
oh god my memory. ppl dont really compare my stuff to other stuff too often i dont think? but theres probably a bunch of cartoons people think ive seen that i actually havent LOL
26. What's a piece that got a wildly different interpretation from what you intended
oh man. honestly any of my weirder art. the one with starb as a tamagatchi and villian got a lot of reactions of ppl calling it cute. which wasnt not my intention? but also that piece was abt like. the kind of unhealthy stuff they had going on for a bit. theres also stuff like the giant starb piece that ppl have been Weird abt when its really personal and symbolic to me. and that always makes me a little peeved
30. What piece of yours do you think is underrated
MOST OF MY ANIMATIONS. i wish spending like a week on an animation had more of a reward than it does. but uhhh i dont really know how to judge if something is underrated. mostly if i like it im happy with it GHFJKGH but theres probably some stuff with lower notes if you scroll through my art blog that id say is underrated but i dont get too hung up on it

Hello everyone!  As promised in my last post I made prior to the premiere of the 1st episode of the new Futurama revival, I have decided to share some of my favorite screenshots I took since watching it myself~  That said, I have seen some of these scenes already shared but I still wanted to post all of what I had taken in one place for myself just for fun, so if you see something in this post that you’ve already seen 1000 times by this point feel free to ignore lol
Tbh I’ve never tried live blogging anything before, let alone tried to edit and share screenshots I didn’t plan on keeping for myself, so I hope these turned out okay!  I did my best to clean them up and crop to what I wanted, so if they don’t show up well I apologize in advance ^^;
Otherwise, if you’re interested in reading past this point, I hope you enjoy what I have to share as well as what little commentary I have to accompany my pictures :3
Okay, so just to get this out of the way first and foremost, while I have seen mixed reviews in regards to the first episode, imo I honestly thought it was pretty good!  A lot of the jokes definitely landed and even had me laughing out loud, and with the easter eggs scattered throughout combined with seeing all of these characters once again, I couldn’t stop smiling at several points just because I was so happy lol
That said, while I wouldn’t say this is up there as one of my fav episodes of all time in the series overall, I say it definitely did what it set out to accomplish as far as bringing the series back after 10 years off the air in terms of animation, voice acting, etc.  So to anyone that felt as if The Impossible Stream was a let down, I would recommend giving it a few episodes into the new season before coming to a solid conclusion on whether the revival lives up to the hype or not/forming a firm opinion on the new season as a whole.  Again, as far as plots are concerned, this episode isn’t anywhere in my top 10 list, but at the same time, it was pretty good and served as a nice welcome back to long time fans since 2013 when Meanwhile aired, so I want to believe things will only get better from here~
Any who, with all of that out of the way, on to the screenshots:
1. First, Idk if this has been pointed out already, but since I haven’t seen anyone else post this, I thought I’d do it myself~  I honestly thought this was pretty cute lol, and considering that the new season is on a streaming service as opposed to tv (meaning that they most likely can have both the OP and ED be as long as they want without it being cut off by ad time), I hope they include new stuff like this in the OP in addition to the cartoons being displayed on the jumbo tv Leela always crashes into again :)
Tumblr media
2. This scene right here was too cute for me~  I love these two so much, and I’m so happy to see them again :3  They just want each other to be happy, and it’s precious :3
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Also Fry looks so adorable here (´◡`)  Look at him!
3. I know this scene speaks for itself, but still enjoy this quote none the less :3
Tumblr media
4. If I had a nickle for every time one of my special interests was cancelled because of corporate incompetence/bad judgement, I’d have at least 2 but it’s weird it happened twice - let alone that it happened to two shows that technically aired on the same block (I.E. adult swim, Metalocalypse I’m looking at you :( ).
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
And yes, I know this is prob a jab at streaming services like Netflix but I think my point still stands, you know?  I wish things were different but...
5. Hey, at least we’re getting Futurama AND Metalocalypse back this year, right? I guess that’s a small victory, at least for me?  Idk, the fact both these series ended back in 2013 just to be revived in the ye old year of 2023 seems like fate to me tbh, so if the latter’s direct-to-dvd film does well, here’s hoping it can get picked up on Hulu alongside Futurama so I can get back into my high school era~  In the meantime, have this which reminded me of the revival campaigns I have seen over the years dedicated to bringing these 2 wonderful shows back:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Too bad Leela’s not a Dethklok fan :(
6.  I figured we’d see Calculon come back sooner or later, but I sure as hell wasn’t expecting him to return like this in the first episode no less XD That said, I’m not a huge fan of either him or the Robot Devil, but this scene was gold~
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And last but not least:
Tumblr media
Once I learn how to make good quality GIFS, this is the first scene I’m uploading as a GIF 。^‿^。
7. Oh!  Speaking of Calculon, over these past 15+ years of my life, I had always figured he was either Bi or Pan, so alongside my ship with him and Bender potentially being given more fuel, it was nice to see the writers had the same idea :3 In this house we stan a Bi and/or Pan Calculon~
Tumblr media
And let’s not forget about this:
Tumblr media
Idk man, I think I might reconsider my Calculon dislike if this continues O////O Never thought I’d say that after reaching my 20s but ye, this was pretty good
Also, this scene was another gem in my opinion:
Tumblr media
Technically, yes
Tumblr media
Bender x Fry x Leela parallels aside, it’s always nice to see this as a multi shipper~  Keep in mind, as well, that this was originally also written BY BENDER HIMSELF, so ye, a lot to talk about another day
8. I almost choked on my drink watching this lol Looks like the old man yaoi group of Farnsworth, Hermes, and Zoidberg has trouble in paradise (this is a JOKE, pls don’t take this seriously!)
Tumblr media
His face is priceless XD
9. Finally, I know this last scene was prob meant to be a tongue-in-cheek joke about both reboots and the writers, but at the same time all I could think of was that one quote from Fry in When Aliens Attack when Leela asked him about his script writing?  Idk if it was mean to be a call back to this scene too, but was I the only one reminded of this during the end?  Also, Bender sure is one to call the kettle black XD
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Compare these exchanges and see what I mean:
Tumblr media
And that’s about it tbh, so if you’ve read this far, thank you so much!  As thanks, here’s some bonus screenshots of Leela and Fry being cute, and I can’t wait to post again about next week’s episode :3  Have a great day and good night~

Writing Questionnaire 3
Thank you @wyked-ao3 and @the-golden-comet here and thank you @leahnardo-da-veggie here
Short stories, novels, or poems?
I love drabbles, they play as a training for me since English is my third language on multiple aspects. But I'm writing (trying to) a novel. I love both. I'm not too much in poetry, but then sometimes there is THAT one that gets stuck in my head.
What genre do you prefer reading?
I don't have a genre. I keep saying, because it's the truth, that if I click with at least one character I follow everywhere. Since I discovered AO3 and then tumblr I came across incredible stories.
What genre do you prefer writing?
I'm writing something between healing,social,fiction... I don' have a genre. Or I don't know how I'll be able to define it. Tbh I don't care, but I know this question will come around a lot....
Are you a planner or a write-as-I-go kind of person?
Ouch.....Let's say the sceond one but I'm trying to put some planning in the mix. I have too. Outlining mon amour....
What music do you listen to while writing?
Too bad I can't listen to music. I already have far too many distractions
Fave books/movies?
Books : The catcher in the rye (Sallinger), Stand by me and IT (Stephen King), The house of the Spirits (Isabel Allende), Un long dimanche de fiançailles (Japrisot) Movies : The hours, Natural born killers, Harold and Maude, Breakfast Club, Rocky Horror Picture Show
Of course both lists are much longer and I'm not listing mutuals and not mutuals writing
Any current WIPs?
TSA, The scarred angel or, Ashley Knox first book (should be first book if I don't die first)
If someone were to make a cartoon out of you, what would your standard outfit be?
Loose rundown jeans, black tank, combat boots. Eventually I'm not against books and spray bombs for graffitis
Create a character description for yourself: long dishevelled dark hair streaked with white, almond dark brown eyes, olive skin
Do you like incorporating people you actually know into your writing?
Not until know but I can use some inspiration.
Are you kill-happy with characters?
NOPE! But.....sometimes shit happens
Coffee or tea while writing?
Coffee. DARK. Nothing in it. Or herbal tea with essential oil peppermint if I already had too much coffee
Slow or fast writer?
Slooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooow, Gosh I'm so sloooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooow.....🐌🐌🐌
Where/who/what do you find inspiration from?
Probably everywhere
If you were put into a fantasy world, what would you be?
Maybe a witch. Or a knight.
Most fave book cliche? Least fave book cliche?
Fav.....: enemies to lovers, friends to lovers, psychopaths, saving strays punks, vampires?
Least fav: omegaverse I'm afraid (for now), major character death (I've been heavily traumatized), animal hunting/death (no way!), various trauma (child abuse,rape,violence)...I might have to take a break to breathe
Fave scenes to write?
Dialogues probably
Most productive time of day for writing?
Ideally in the morning. Sometimes I get spurs of creativity in other moments (evening/night) but I'm generally too worn out
Reason for writing?
First : I need to get the stories/characters/situations out of my system or they'll keep haunting me.
Second : Writing particularly puts me in a situation of dealing with my personal hell in order to get over it ….it goes without saying that I don't always succeed. As an exemple : my inner critic is incredibly active and badass BUT I have a personal moral code that makes just IMPOSSIBLE to let things pass. Which is fun because I am an artist too and as an artist I'm basically immune and don't give a damn, I just walk on my road.
TAG NP to : @the-golden-comet, @saturnine-saturneight, @fortunatetragedy @lavender-gloom @illarian-rambling @authorcoledipalo @innerthoughtsmonologue @jev-urisk + open tag and the usual drink 🍻 🍻🍻
Writing Questionnaire 3
i was tagged a few weeks ago but I can't find it now. I had it mostly done in drafts 0_o (I forgot about it sorry)
Short stories, novels, or poems?
Novel length fanfiction although I'm working on my first novel. Short stories are way harder for me as I have to many ideas to keep them short usually.
What genre do you prefer reading?
Basically, I’ll read anything interesting. Usually: mystery, fantasy, grimdark fantasy, dark fantasy, romance, horror, murder mysteries, historical, educational, western (I'm blaming @fortunatetragedy for that one as my parents couldn't get me hooked on the genre 0_o And @fortunatetragedy succeeded with DMLS )
(I don't have many genre's I won't give a chance)
What genre do you prefer writing?
I'm game for whatever ideas running amuck right now I'm working on a fantasy series that will probably end up labeled dark fantasy. My next project after the series will be historical fantasy just not sure which of these ideas I'm going for (3 different time periods but they will still have some form of magic in them)
Are you a planner or a write-as-I-go kind of person?
Combine the two but usually I have a general idea and let the characters have fun driving me insane.
What music do you listen to while writing?
Depends on the day some days that would be highly distracting others it's either old classic rock or folk music
Fave books/movies?
That's listed in my pinned intro and it's a long list and you can not make me pick.
Any current WIPs?
I'm currently writing the pirate king of deaths redemption book one if the pirate's cursed god series. For fanfiction I have several at different points and I'm posting three wip's that I'm working on as I post 0_o (bad idea but I'm adjusting to it)
If someone were to make a cartoon out of you, what would your standard outfit be?
Comfortable sweaters, jeans, combat boots and a pocket knife holding several books
Create a character description for yourself: ash blonde shoulder length hair, hazel eyes (blue, green, grey) pale skinned and freckled.
Do you like incorporating people you actually know into your writing?
Not particularly.
Are you kill-happy with characters?
not particularly, especially if you know them.
Coffee or tea while writing?
Water or sweet tea
Slow or fast writer?
Most people say fast but to me, I'm slow but that has to do with the fact that my brain moves quicker than I can type.
Where/who/what do you find inspiration from?
Anything and everything
If you were put into a fantasy world, what would you be?
Healer or cryptid in the library spotted by others once in a blue moon as I learn about the new world.
Most fave book cliche? Least fave book cliche?
Most fav: long list but enemies to lovers or psychopaths and golden retriever personality.
Least fav: cheating (I will usually stop reading right there) amnesia (not really my cup of tea) child death (sensitive subject given some of my relatives histories) major character death (definitely need to be in a certain mindset for that) bullying (personal trauma there sometime I have to back away from a book for a while before trying again.)
Fave scenes to write?
Fluffy dialogue or arguing although bone chilling or traumatic memory flash backs are a blast to write
Most productive time of day for writing?
It depends – day for editing night for writing or that's how it usually works for me.
Reason for writing?
Creativity, I like the fact that other people can connect with the story. Also I have made a few friends via writing and I love that fact considering I have issues making friends usually. My friends might be online friend but they are still friends.

Tumblr media
— JOSEPH
↘ He is very caring, of course in his own way.
↘ I think definitely the first thing he will do when he sees that you are sad and your cheeks are wet with tears is to take a nice yellow handkerchief from his pocket and wipe your nose and your red eyes while giving you a little kiss right middle of the forehead. Then he will suggest a conversation and some water/tea to calm your raging thoughts.
↘ I think at such moments he perceives you more as a little child than as a partner, so expect a serious talk, some life tips and promises that in case you need to talk again, drink something or a book to read, he will be right next to you. And then he’ll go to the kitchen to make you something to eat, such as colorful sandwiches full of vegetables, which have cute decorations in the shape of smiling faces from the cut radishes and chives.
↘ Joseph definitely knows how to take care of you during your unpleasant days of stress, pain and uncertainty.
Tumblr media
— JOTARO
↘ He’s not very good at comforting you, but I think he’ll make an ‘exception’ for you.
↘ “Oi, don’t cry. Come here, we’ll watch a movie or order food.”
↘ I think his love language is definitely gifts, so if you are sad and your eyes are full of nasty tears, expect both small and slightly larger presents from Jotaro to make you feel better. Usually these will be items that will help you in some way to replace him; for example, a huge plush toy, a new blanket or a oversized sweatshirt in your favorite color. He (for sure) also likes to buy you food or cold snacks such as ice cream or slushie.
↘ Expect comforting messages from him as well, but without emojis. They sound offensive at times like ‘Stop crying, Y/N’ but you know he’s very worried about you. He just can’t find the cute sticker tab on the keyboard, lol.
Tumblr media
— NORIAKI
↘ He’s so sensitive and really concerned with your mental and physical condition. Nevertheless, he will approach the topic very calmly, even hesitantly, asking if you want to talk.
↘ However, I think that if he notices any uncertainty in your gaze or in your facial expressions, he’ll suggest you to exchange notes so that you don’t feel his eyes or the unpleasant pressure that is equivalent to talking in person.
↘ Noriaki tries very hard to improve your mood with short trips; even a walk to the nearest park/lake or a short date in the zoo and botanical garden. He likes to buy you small decorations for the fridge or bouquets of flowers consisting of white carnations, irises and pink freesias.
↘ He’s also a specialist in all kinds of Disney cartoons, so expect a small (very big) seance with Princesses, Dalmatians and other animals.
Tumblr media
— MUHAMMAD
↘ Literally a husband material.
↘ Therefore, if you are sad, he will be with you all the time until you stop crying. His hand will stroke your back and the top of your head tenderly, and warm lips will always whisper nice words to you that will definitely cheer you up.
↘ I have a feeling Avdol is a great cook, so whenever you have a bad day or time in general, your partner will cook you lots of delicious dishes, especially from his regions. He’s good in stews and spicy dishes.
↘ When you eat, you always talk about more or less ‘normal’ topics. You talk about your gut feelings, work, plans, passions and your relationship, and then you slowly forget what caused sadness in your soul. With your beloved man next to you, delicious food and his jokes, you definitely can’t cry.
Tumblr media
— JEAN
↘ Oh my precious, sweet and wholesome boy.
↘ Polnareff, as we all know, is very specific; therefore, as soon as he notices even the tiniest tear on your cheek or just feels from the way you walk, talk and smile that something is wrong, he’ll be very serious and will definitely grab your face between his both, warm hands.
↘ Not only will he give you a juicy kiss on the lips, but he will also announce with a loud voice that you, as his beloved, cannot be sad. Literally, this one thing is enough to make the tears disappear and a huge smile appeared instead.
↘ Then, of course, he’ll take you to his lap or to your bed and give you a tight hug, asking what happened and if he can help you in any way. He will be happy to work with you to solve the problem that is bothering you.

hello zero. do you have a rec list of songs? a playlist?
ok, so theres no easy answer for this
idk how to describe my musical tastes. i guess i could put them in a 3-axis graph, like this, and just kinda let the artists fall where they may
Tumblr media
ive always enjoyed obscure and acoustic indie artists, as well as weird and obscure rock bands and mainstream rock bands. im always scared to "actively" listen to music for some reason. ill just find something i like and then seek it out organically after listening it.
pink floyd - i used to listen to my mom's pink floyd CDs on my sisters stereo a lot. my mom bought them to entertain guests whenever her friends would come over for drinks. 'Animals' is my favorite, and i never got into 'Dark Side of the Moon' that much but i liked its themes. 'Animals' gives me feelings of being a kid and imagining what it's like to be an adult. if you look at the album art for 'Wish You Were Here' along with the art and lyrics in the CD booklet, it all gives a very futuristic machination feel and it unnerved me so much i didnt listen to it. it scared me. now i love it, and its my favorite PF album art. look up tattoos of it, its great.
the real tuesday weld - contender for my fav band. i own physical music from them more than any other artist. i saw the video for Bathtime In Clerkenwell as a kid on MTV and it blew me away (anyone who knows me knows i love animation + black and white + russian art). when i realized it wasnt just a video but a music video for a band, i went down this rabbit hole of the entire band and it made me appreciate weird electronic lounge music. this is what P!ATD tried to do but failed spectacularly. its music from the past if they had the tools of the future. i listen to their music and i feel like im dreaming, its ethereal. their last album they released (the next to last to be released) was called Dreams and thats what i feel when i hear them.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
i think my fav songs lately are Let It Come Down (calming jazz lounge) Silicone (noir theme for two fucked up lovers) One More Chance (cabaret duet letter from Lucifer addressed to God). one of my fav videos is probably the one for Me And Mr Wolf (contains blood and cartoon violence) my popsocket is lifted right from the video. it looks rough, i know
Tumblr media
the peculiar pretzelmen - i heard these dudes bc i was actually looking for music like TRTW. they describe themselves as "voodoo death stomp" and it reminds me i love sad angry folk music and bluegrass. you, yes you, specifically, notfredjohnson, ive told about them to before. i have listened to a LOT of their work all year and are my current go to for music to listen to during my drive to work.
rabbit foot blues - hardcore romp ode to those with nothing and everything
sing along - how do you accept that someone doesnt want to be in your life anymore? i guess sing a song
crazy man michael is an amazing heartfelt cover of a beautiful song from the 70s
other songs i tend to like a lot solely bc i REALLY like female vocalists. i just do, they carry so much pain and hurt in their voices that just comes natural to a female singing voice.
behind these hazel eyes by kelly clarkson, nobody's home by avril lavigne, im sorry i love you by the magnetic fields, sober by p!nk, the lions roar by first aid kit,
diamonds cutting diamonds by lydia ainsworth, waiting around to die by the be good tanyas, iron horse by mean mary, with me wherever i go by laurie lewis
theres so much more in so many weird and different genres so i think ill close with ein astronaut. heres turn, which im obsessed with (i fucking love accordion) and here he is doing vocals for WREN in she'd never know

Getting to Know My Sweet Tits Even Better 20 Question Style
Favorite color?
Favorite School Subject?
Favorite (non wrestling) Show?
Favorite Song?
Favorite Book?
Favorite Meal?
Favorite Animal?
Favorite Holiday?
Favorite Celebrity Crush (no wrestlers?)
Favorite Movie?
Indoor or Outdoors?
City or Countryside?
Video or Bored Games
More Money or More Time
Summer or Winter
Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
Do you still watch cartoons?
As a kid What did you want to be when you grew up?
What is one item in your bucket list?
What does your dream house look like ?
So many questions! So, here is what my boring ass has to say:
Favorite color: Any shade of green: forest green and mint green are my favorites.
Favorite School Subject: It is kind of obvious, because these are things I still enjoy and use today: English, and Art. They were the most fun to me. I've actually studied English to become a high school teacher (I am not working as teacher, because anxiety got the best of me, and told me I'd be horrible at teaching kids)
Favorite show: Girl, I am telling you, if you haven't watched yet, you NEED to see Doctor Who! And if you are watching, tell me your fav Doctor. I need to know if we have the same taste there, too!
Favorite Song: Phew, that's tough. Right now, it probably is "Weight of the World" by Citizen Soldier.
Favorite Book: I have actually put this in my Cash fic. It's RUMO by Walter Moers (German author, which is surprising because I am usually not a fan of German literature). Moers created a fictional continent called Zamonia, where all different kinds of creatures live. This place is loco in the best kind of way. And I HIGHLY recommend checking out some of his works (''City of Dreaming Books'' might be a good start, it's the one that got me hooked)
Favorite Meal: I am a sucker for fish. I love salmon or something with shrimp. I also love any kind of salad
Favorite Animal: Dogs. I just love dogs. I talk to every dog I meet. They're just so loving and sweet.
Favorite Holiday: any holiday I don't have to go to work. Honestly, I think it would be Halloween, but it is not really celebrated here in Germany. At least not where I live.
Celebrity Crush: Chris Evans.
Favorite Movie: It's either Edward Scissorhands (first movie that made me cry because as a teen, I felt like Edward), or V for Vendetta. Also the LOTR movies, I'll never get sick of them.
Indoor or outdoors: Both? I honestly used to be more outdoors, and I love the forest. But indoors is pretty cool too. So both.
City or countryside: In my head, I'd like to live in a small village (which is the case in reality), but close to a big city, because then it would be easy to go to concerts or have a nice shopping spree. The next bigger city to where I live is still small (like 250.000 people live there) and I have to drive 100 miles to get there. So yeah, countryside close to a big city.
Video or board games: I don't play much. I enjoy Monopoly, but no one wants to play because you never see the end of it. And it can ruin friendships
More Money or more time: Call me a material bitch, but definitely more money. My family never had a lot of money, and we were always struggling, so I can only imagine how nice it can be growing up without having to worry if you can buy enough food to make it until the end of the month
Summer or winter: tough one, sweet tits, because I am a spring and fall girl. But if you make me choose: winter. If there is one thing I can't stand, it's the fucking heat. I'd rather freeze to death than melt and burn.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years: Careerwise? In the position of my manager. He will retire in about 10 years, and I try my best to get his job after that. I am not sure if it will work out, as the boss who owns the company is not very fond of me, but I'm working hard to show that I am capable of much more than I am doing right now. Personally? In a happy relationship. I've been single for years, and I'm the only one to blame. When I'm not interested, a guy can do whatever he wants, it's not gonna change. If I am interested, I automatically think he's too good for me, so even if he wants me, still not a chance. I'll try to work on that.
Do you still watch cartoons?: YES! I still have a soft spot for early Spongebob and I quote things almost on a daily basis. I'm also obsessed with Crayon Shin Chan.
What I wanted to be as a kid: A vet, until I realized I have to put animals to sleep. Could not do that.
What is one item in your bucket list? Visiting Chicago. I am in love with this place.
What does your dream house look like? I don't know? I love Gothic houses, cottages, and modern houses. BUT I'd love to have a pool.

Gonna ramble about the new ‘Harriet The Spy’ cartoon on Apple tv+ because I really like it a ton!
I’ll start by introducing the series to ya’ll: Harriet The Spy is an adaptation of the 1964 children’s novel of the same name, officially premiering on November 19, 2021. It’s centered around an enthusiastic sixth-grader who aspires to become the greatest writer, so she goes on escapades to eavesdrop on other people to know everything and writes her unfiltered thoughts in a notebook she carries around everywhere. Only 5 episodes of the show have been released on Apple TV+ while the rest of season 1 will come out next year.
I’ve read and enjoyed the book in the past, so I was really REALLY excited to watch the cartoon when I saw the trailer for it. When it finally came out, it was difficult not to smile throughout the first episode and onwards ‘cause I was having such a fun time overall <3 So now (while I tend to be bad at explaining things,,) I’ll be talking about bits of how this series is becoming a personal favorite of mine!
Tumblr media
First thing I enjoyed about this show is the art style! It’s very charming and I love how simple and nostalgic it looks. It feels like something that younger me would watch on early Cartoon Network or PBS Kids in a weekend morning, or even like a lighthearted comic I’d pick up and read. The overall vibe of this show succeeds in making me revert to a kid again, and part of it is thanks to the art style.
Tumblr media
Harriet M. Welsch herself is also really great! Everything from her voice to her physical behavior in the show is exactly how I imagined it to be when I read the book, except maybe 2x as better ‘cause somehow she’s just more adorable. I love how soft yet slightly exaggerated her tone is when she talks/narrates and it just adds more to the show’s already plentiful charm, and her design, while still similar to how she’s illustrated in the book, is the most perfect design. Her VA, Beanie Feldstein and the writers and artists/animators in this show do a great job in bringing this character to life!
Tumblr media
As for other characters, the nanny, Ole Golly is my most favorite one and was already my fav in the book, too. She’s a calming and enamoring presence with a habit of saying quotes from literary classics to express herself, she’s generally hard not to fall in love with <3
Tumblr media
Some episodes (or parts of them) take inspiration from certain chapters in the book, while a couple are entirely new stories exclusive to the show. Speaking of the former, I adore how this show expands on plots which I’ve recognized came from the book, as I’ll explain right now...
SPOILERS AHEAD: My most favorite episode so far which was also inspired by a significant part of the book is Cross My Heart and Hope Not To Dance, in which Harriet and her best friend Janie Gibbs swear to never go to Dancing School together but they eventually have to go anyway. In the book, we never actually see them attend Dancing School but here, we do! I loved that Janie finds herself enjoying how to dance and has a knack for it, and Harriet’s persistence in avoiding + disrupting Dancing School leads her to making amends with her friendship as Janie had always followed what Harriet wanted but not vice versa.
I still haven’t gotten over this episode’s ending where Janie abruptly asks Harriet to dance with her in the school’s recital, it was the sweetest thing and I never saw it coming, but it’s one of my favorite moments in the show <3
Tumblr media
Did I also mention that the soundtrack for this show is also kinda catchy? ‘Cause it really is. The intro theme written by Courtney Barnett has continuously play on loop in my mind since I first listened to it, and there’s a handful of 60s funk/rock songs throughout the show (though I can’t tell if they were written specifically for the show or they’re tracks that actually came out in the 60s and were used in episodes), and it’s a fitting sound since this series set in 60s New York after all.
But yeah, those were just a few things I liked about Harriet The Spy and I really hope more people get to watch and enjoy this show as much as I did! Until the next half of season 1 is out next year, I’m very excited for more Harriet <3

Weird week behind me weird week ahead of me but I’ve done a lot of self reflection and came to the weirdest epiphany. The older I get the more I realize all my ‘problems’ with VivziePop - her thoughts on criticism;  the choices she makes in story telling; some of the people she’s worked with (not that any of that’s my business; I’m not her mom) really aren’t about Viv, but more about her fandom.
I’m speaking of the preHazbin era Viv here and as someone who’s only watch horny fish jump at the surface rather than jump straight into the Hazbin-fandom, but given my ‘noncritical’ fellow fans have told me that the Vivziefandom now is also terrible - I guess I’ll go over my experience and make the most out of what I do know.
Tumblr media
I followed Viv in 2009 and fell off in 2013 cause I kinda just lost interest and found myself wrapped up in other fandoms. I’ve always felt amicable about her content; I could give or take designs or the way in which she wrote characters -- ((Zech represent!!!)) but it’s honestly surreal and really fun seeing this person I recognize make it big and improve so much. Like I’ve said before I am very happy and very impressed with Viv doing all she’s done in the span of TWO YEARS. wow gurl.
Trouble is, there was the particular breed of fan who really made me...uncomfortable. They felt almost possessive of Viv’s attention. They sang praises about her work in a way that just made me want nothing to do with it because I was worried if I drew those characters these people would be like ‘hey, I’M Viv’s fav artist, not you!”. They would  unironically write Viv messages like:
“you are a GOD” -- “I’m so not worthy compared to you” --“I wish I was as talented as you” -- “YOU ARE EVERYTHING AND CAN’T DO WRONG VIV”.
The kind of messages which were meant to sound flattering but, intentional or not, came off as gaslighting, like they were guilt tripping Viv about being better than them. This behavior, treating your favorite artist/internet personality like your superior and groveling like Starscream, it strikes a nerve with me; partly because I was this way with my favorite artists and influences back in the day,  but also because once I got a taste of that treatment myself I realized just how bad it could be:
There was once a girl on dA who was jealous of me because of the attention I got on my art instead of her. I told her that I wasn’t gonna stop drawing but also that there was nothing wrong with her art and she’d find her place. It was weird being put in that position where someone is very clearly upset at you but also looking for your approval.
The second was some scumball who I blocked in 2016. He wouldn’t speak to me, only write condescending, backhanded comments on my art; check on my profile daily; call me a bootlicker (cuz I took commissions) behind my back; redrew my art and would talk about me in his personal artist notes about how I ‘probably wouldn’t see this’ - oh yeah all the while he did fan art of my characters but again never spoke to me when I replied. When I finally messaged him about his behavior he said he thought I was “really overrated” and “bad for the fandom” cuz I took money and kept him from getting the love he deserved. It took messaging another person within our fandom, one I had been in spats with online before, to finally realize I shouldn't put up with that bs....
That guy who was stalking me btw did so while I was well under 1.K watchers and am still pretty obscure. Anyway, I had one guy unhealthily watching me for the wrong reasons. Just one. This is why when Viv says she “hates creeps” I 150% believe this woman and am not about to call her a liar who just can’t take criticism. Like, if you really think that, I’m sorry but you don’t know what Viv’s gone through from both her critics AND fans.
Of course, a lot of people will be like “I bet you’re just jealous and really just want that kind of attention yourself so you’re preaching to the choir”, but like...no. I am envious of just about any creator who’s the social butterfly I’m not, but, like, if I'm jealous of an artist none of that is that artists’ fault. Ever. It’s my own issues with being comfortable with myself are at stake. If I criticize Viv’s work it’s not because I see her as competition or my Squilliam Fancyson; it’s because I’m a critical fan of animation and cartoons and have my own thoughts to share on the cartoons of an artist I’m familiar with.  Jealousy/envy/mixed-admiration/godIwishthatwereme.jpeg feels are totally natural and valid emotions when you’re a creator. Envy becomes a problem when you internalize, weaponize, and scrutinize people on the basis of them being what you aren’t which -yes - some people do in the name of criticism. ((Although, I would hardly say some of the nastiest AntiViv folk are jealous as much as they are angry that this project they think is harmful is getting attention and using that as justification for some really shitty behavior of their own, which no, this post is not a part of by virtue of coming from a critical fan.))
Critique can come from either a good place or bad place; good critique can be used to bad ends and bad critique can come from a well-meaning place, and vice versa.   It’s the difference between many a criticalfan having a sour taste in their mouth regarding the Viv’s base but persisting in a critique+admiration separate of that, and this asswipemonster trying to weasel his way into Spindlehorse while also bashing Viv on a public forum for clearly vitriolic reasons. He was a creep.
So yeah um please stop insisting that every Hazbin critic is just jealous’ because a) there are people who have a past with Viv’s base and that clouds their judgement, but in a lot of cases that doesn’t invalidate their feelings or thoughts on her work separate from that, and b) I’ve seen what clingy gaslighting jealous fans are. Spoiler: they’re not so much Annie Wilkes as much as they are Tommy Wiseaus. You don’t want Tommy Wiseau following you.
Another bad vibe I really picked up on that I can kinda confirm is still probably the case now: people think that they know Viv and the Spindlehorse crew and have the right to send them shit they don’t need or WANT to be seeing.
Like, I talked with Viv once ages ago. I don’t remember what I said other than we were talking about Frankenweenie, I think. She was nice. Outside of that she said “thank you” to my comments on her deviations but that’s it. I DO NOT KNOW THIS WOMAN AND unless you’ve worked with or are a legit friend/mutual of hers, NEITHER DO YOU. But I don’t think every Vivzie stan/critic knows this. Whether it be people assuming she MUST think they’re headcanon is now canon-canon cuz she liked a comment they made; or some critic thinking they must have seriously hurt her pride because they’ve been blocked by her on twitter (or you know, maybe she and the rest of Spindlehorse is tired of getting @s and don’t have to time to read through your analysis so they’re gonna just block and move on cuz they’re busy).
Just because the creators talk with fans doesn’t mean fans are literally their best friends and have a part in the show’s direction. And yes, critics and reviewers fit that bill as well. Know your damn boundaries people.
If you find/make some kind of contribution as a viewer that’s awesome but you should never expect nor DEMAND the creator see it. The most obvious horror stories involving this and Helluva/Hazbin have been the Instagrams made by the crew being harassed by incestpedo enthusiasts, but it applies even to just @ing creators as well.
I’ve seriously had someone tell me to just take my criticisms directly to Viv and like...no. Why would I do that?
I respect Viv and the artists working with her enough to know that they’re working their asses off on an animated series and should not be bothered. I don’t want them to stop all they’re doing and reply to me. I want them to keep working. Also, that kind of logic makes me wonder how many critics Viv’s found because she found it on her own or if some obsessed fan told her about it - which is really messed up cuz if it IS just good critique you’re, again, just pestering her, and if it wasn’t critique but full on harassment WHY THE FUCK WOULD YOU MESSAGE HER ABOUT THAT ANYWAY? I’m sure she doesn’t need to be reminded that people drew and said really awful shit about her on Tapatalk. My point being I’m sure what people think they’re doing is
“OOOoh Viv lookitwut this person is doing in our fandom we need to ban together against this toxic behavior”
but what they’re actually doing, and sounding like, is -
“Hey Viv I know you are working so hard on the show and you’re trying to figure out where to go from here but LOOKITWHUTTHISHATERSAID. LOOKATIT! VALIDATE ME VIV AND PUT’EM IN THEIR PLAAAAAACE!”
TL;DR Viv’s fanbase back in the day consisted of everyman artists and interests but there was this one breed of fan -who I hope was just a vocal minority- that ruined it for everything else.
Call it stanning or ‘simping’ or as it’s classically known, ‘white knighting’, whatever it was it really soured a lot of people on her because of those fans.
That’s why the DollCreep drama got so bad from what I can tell. Doll and Viv had a falling out and then called out eachother online where people who took it upon themselves to speak for them starting throwing mud.
Back in the day I remember Viv used to get mad at artists for ‘stealing’ her style. I think this attitude from Viv directly has vanished but I remember it happening because one of the people she thought was stealing her style did art for me at some point and they were basically shamed/chased off deviantART by a gaggle of these really nasty Vivfans.
inb4> “VIV WAS AWARE AND STILL WEAPONIZES HER FANS THO”
I don’t know that. And honestly, where I’m inclined to believe she’d do something like that then I think Viv is really different and has improved her business and public image from her college days. I’d be very disappointed in her if she was pulling a Butch Hartman or Derek Savage, but I just don’t think she is one, k?
Viv is more self critical and aware than any of these uber protective-gatekeeping fans give her credit for. She said on the Pizzapartypodcast that she knows the Hazbin pilot wasn’t perfect; she’s been able to identify the problems with old Zoophobia; this woman knows that criticism of all kinds need to exist and from what I see she sounds like she’s trying to get used to that. It’s just, you know, when you have nasty antis badgering you, stalkers, obsessive yes-mam’ fans, opinionated shit posters, r34 artists, entitled shippers and the NDAs of a company alongside your own branded image - all that negativity, even the constructive bits, tend to clump together and you just want to scream at it so you can finish the damn cartoon already!!!!
TL;DR: PART TWO
VivziePop/mind is basically indie Tim Burton.  Her work is fun, shallow and made with love but is marketed as being for everyone when it’s really not. Parts of it I love to watch; parts of it drives me crazy cuz of reasonswhatev this isn’t a review.
BUT any fanbase where people tell me I should just “expect what’s coming to me” when I’m trying to argue against dragging creators into fandrama is troubling. People have a parasocial bond with fandoms and their creators and they need to learn when to back off.
