The morning sun filtered softly through the sheer curtains, casting a warm golden glow over the bedroom. It was one of those rare, quiet mornings, where Gotham’s usual chaos had yet to intrude, and Damian, for once, was still in bed.

You, on the other hand? Fully awake, wrapped in the coziest pastel sweater imaginable, and absolutely buzzing with thoughts.

"Okay, Dami, listen," you started, propped up on your elbows, looking down at him where he lay, face buried in the pillow, refusing to function yet. "What if—no, hear me out—what if cats had tiny little backpacks? Like, for their little cat belongings? Where would they even go?? Like, imagine Alfred with his own tiny bag! Wouldn’t that be adorable? What do you think he’d keep in it?"

Silence.

You paused, then gently poked his cheek.

Still nothing.

Finally, after a long, suffering sigh, Damian shifted just enough to glance up at you, narrowed green eyes sharp despite his grogginess.

"Beloved." His voice was low, hoarse from sleep, but dripping with deadpan exhaustion.

You beamed, undeterred. "Yes, my love?"

His gaze dragged over you, taking in your bright, bouncy energy compared to his own half-conscious, definitely-not-awake self.

Then, finally—

"Why must you do this to me first thing in the morning?"

You gasped dramatically, hand pressed to your heart. "Excuse me, sir, but I am merely blessing you with my intellectual wonders!"

Damian exhaled sharply—not quite a sigh, not quite amusement, but something in between. He shifted onto his side, grabbing your wrist, pulling you down against him in one swift, seamless motion.

You let out a small squeak as you landed chest to chest with him, your face inches from his, suddenly trapped under the warm weight of his arm resting lazily across your waist.

“…Dami?”

He hummed, already burying his face into the crook of your neck, voice muffled against your skin. "If I hold you here, will you stop talking?"

You snorted. "Absolutely not."

His lips ghosted against your shoulder, and though he was too stubborn to admit it, you could feel the small, amused smirk hidden against your skin.

"Then at least let me suffer in peace, beloved."

You giggled, wrapping your arms around him, fingers tangling lazily in his sleep-mussed hair.

Neither of you moved. Neither of you spoke.

For all of Damian’s complaints, for all of his grumpy little comments, he still held you close, his grip never loosening, his presence warm and completely unwilling to let go.

Yeah. He could pretend all he wanted. But you knew the truth.

Your endless chatter was his favorite sound in the world.

(And later that day, when you found a tiny handmade cat backpack on your desk with a note in Damian’s sharp handwriting that simply read: "For Alfred."… You swore you saw a ghost of a smirk as he walked past you, pretending he had nothing to do with it.)

I love magical girl animes very much, grew up watching tokyo mew mew (and somehow managed to watch wedding peach all on youtube a long time ago, i did not understand the english subtitles at all lmao, rewatched it years later and loved it), so imagine my surprise when I stumbled accross the first (if you ignore saint seiya) full on magical boy anime in 2015 and ever since I wanted to draw my own, and now I have my musketeers :)))

Anime I'm talking abt is 'Binan Koukou Chikyuu bouei-bu love' btw ! It's on the parodic side but not as much shitpost-ish as 'magical girl ore' for example. (and the ending song talks about 2 characters of the show that drifted apart and how there's 3 meters only separating them but it's enough for one to miss the other and aughhh my heart I could yap about this for ages)

There's 3 seasons in total to this anime and season 3 has a new cast of guys but years later at the same school !

Scenario is basically the same as season 1 but with different guys and villains, but omg the otter..... I love that yellow otter so much..... (look they have magical ace and deuce ) Villains of season 3 are called "edelstein knights" or something (ince again an angry guy with ridiculous bangs considered a villain, my beloved)

Other legit magical boy I love a lot is 'Fairy Ranmaru' !! It takes itself more seriously than binan koukou, in it's own scandalous way I'd say. They went ham with the fanservice during transformations it's crazy-(especially uruu's transformation) def +16 at least They do try to talk about serious matters and feelings/emotions in general. I cant' really tell if it's well written since I'm really an easy audience, I should watch it a second time... It's a visual experience at least if you're into that kind of designs

Alright one last "magical" boy/girl, it's not even exceptionnal but it's a fever dream shitpost that has a special place in my heart : 'Classicaloid' So a girl's father created humanoids with the memories of classical composers and went to get milk, leaving them all. The classicaloids eventually decide to squat at the girl's house. They have magical powers called "musik" and have a small transformation animation. So to a certain extent I do consider this a magical people anime.

Here's everyone from season 1 (untransfromed) Beethoven and Bach (maybe mozart too tbh) are the most recognizeable but good luck to guess the others :') (Liszt and Tchaikovsky are genderbent) They are all so whacky together I love them so much, bach only speaks in musical terms "andante, pianissimo etc.." Chopin is the looser of all times, Mozart is.... Mozart, and Dvorak (season 2) became a pigmy hippo for literally no reason The animation is nice but the ending song illustrations ??? dang

Shane doesn't see any problem with this at all because he had previously sworn to himself that he wouldn't have children. Especially since Shane has already tried a few years as a father figure and realised it's... hard. Don't get him wrong, Shane loves his niece, but with his depression and alcohol abuse previously, he knew he wasn't the best godfather for Jas. But he has plenty of experience with caring for chickens, so Shane brightened with joy when his spouse suggested having more chickens instead of kids. Charlie would have more friends!

Harvey had always dreamed of a happy family, but the local doctor had never specifically thought about having children. He came to the conclusion that he would be happy with Farmer in any scenario. And recently, a friend of Harvey's from Zuzu City was looking for owners for three orphaned stray kittens... So after a conversation with his spouse and mutual agreement, Harvey now have the three furballs who greet him with chorus of meowing, climb up his pyjama, demanding food, and make Harvey and Farmer smile every day.

Sebastian was all for it. He didn't want to have kids either, and didn't have any particular reason. He was afraid that Farmer would take this rather negatively. But since they are both on the same page, how about expand their terrarium and get more cute frogs? Elliott had long since chosen the right words and the right place, for, as it turned out, he himself had wanted to raise the matter with Farmer. The writer decided that since they were both almost entirely devoted to their work and hobbies, they would not be able to pay proper attention to the child, and it would be unfair to the baby. What was the writer's surprise when Farmer told him that they also wanted to discuss the possibility of being childfree. And also the idea of having another cat. Elliott was fine with it, believing that their first cat would like a new friend.

Alex was a little discouraged by Farmer's question, as he was thinking of just discussing with his spouse about children/adoption. Not that he wants kids right away without prior preparation, of course not. But after listening to Farmer's opinion, Alex couldn't disagree with their reasoning. Perhaps he just wanted the happy family life he didn't have as a child. But he was already happy with Farmer. And he'd be even more happy if Farmer agreed to have a couple puppies. Like any good scientist, one must disclose the sources used and where one has gained knowledge and insights in order to report on their research in a credible manner.

To get to the bottom of the question of Richard’s existence, I have spent nearly the last 10 years meticulously studying every music video and their corresponding making ofs to the point where I can recite every line by heart (even the ones that make me want to sink into the ground out of secondhand embarrassment - "so ein Gesäuge", I’m looking at you). I went to the cinema three times to analyze Richard's presence on the big screen, absorbed recordings of live performances to examine and cross-reference his alluring movements on stage, and created a seven-page long table in Word to organize his interviews by date and topic, tracking his statements and quotes - I mean, quotes like the following have to be proof that this man exist, who else could express things like that so calmly, right?:

it’s still hard to truly grasp that he exists in flesh and blood. Even I sometimes catch myself looking at pictures of him and thinking, “Wow… he actually exists! He’s real!”, fascinated anew every single time.

This year, as part of my research, I was fortunate enough to practice my research in the Feuerzone three times, and I must say: the moment Richard stepped onto the stage, I was often left speechless. He has an incredibly majestic presence, very focused and fully immersed in his role as the serious rock star - with moments of warmth (towards his band mates) and small glimpses into his thoughts (the annoyed look he gave in Dresden when he forgot his pyro arm for DRSG was so expressive; he rolled his eyes so hard, he surely could see into his brain). I was utterly captivated and thoroughly enjoyed watching him play and use iconic gestures (like during Du hast 👆☝✋👉), and to witness his presence and mannerism live on stage really was a highlight for me. -except set, she’ll hide behind atem under his cape if she sees him coming. set isnt trying to scare her or anything, he just has major rbf, is like 6’3, and doesnt know how to approach talking to children. Atem tries his best to get them to converse but set just shuffles awkwardly as his cousin tries to get chiroko to relinquish her death grip on his tunic.

- older than her brother by 5-6 years, and is so so so excited when senbi is born!!!!! little baby brother!!!!!! stays protective of him (and anzu) from when he was an infant into adult years (also atem to an extent)

- chiyo would get along with mana like 2 peas in a pod!! Mahad would love her to b i t s, but his calmer, more paternal/fraternal energy towards atem would multiply with chiyoko and he would treat her like small precious baby while mana is just like “hey kiddo wanna see me turn your dad into a frog real quick” just to see her laugh (and fuck with atem, two birds, one stone)

- she went through ages 5-8 fully believing that atem was her biological father and would constantly be asking when her multicolored hair would come in. Atem never had the heart to tell her and would just say “wont be long now!!” Anzu had to break the news and chiyoko went through the evening with her arms crossed pointedly turning her entire body away from Atem.

- When she turned 16, she ended up dip dying her hair red and anzu complimented how nice it looked while atem sobbed into her shoulder (i will forever hold art of this from @shinayashipper SO close to my heart)

- they may not be biologically related, but i stg, chiyoko inherited atem’s competitive love of games through osmosis

- That combined with anzu’s determination leads to a tyrannical warlord during family uno

- thinks jonouchi is the coolest EVER and jonouchi actively rubs his favorite uncle status diRECTLY into honda’s face

- secretly thinks mai is even cooler but is too spooked to talk to her

- as she grows up, chiyoko ends up looking v v similar to anzu’s mom, but just replace kiori’s scowl and gray eyes with a smile and hitoshi’s brown eyes (more oc stuff). Also v fashionable!!!

Senbi:

- born when anzu and atem are in their late twenties, post-marriage, and while he has some of atem’s hair coloration style and skin tone, his eyes and hair color are all anzu - much to anzu’s dismay and atem’s adoration (atem is now tied around two little fingers at once)

- Shy boy!!! When he was small, there was always one hand holding onto to atem or anzu’s pants leg or holding chiyo’s hand

- Doesn’t have a competitive bone in his body, just wants to have fun and tbh, doesnt love games all that much!

- older senbi would love watching chiyoko and atem go ham on each other during games and will be sharing popcorn with anzu as they both roll their eyes

- as a child, likes to sit with anzu quietly and read his picture books, or sit on atem’s lap as he works through a crossword

- Senbi always takes a while to go to sleep and when he was little, anzu would sit in his bed and read aloud whatever performance arts book she’s been reading. Eventually, he would fall asleep, but many times, Atem wakes up alone and walks in to senbi’s room to see anzu conked out.

- Senbi and yugi rlly vibe and have the same wallflower energy so!! He always gets rlly excited when yugi comes to visit, bringing him to his room to show him all the cool picture books he got from the library this week

- To which yugi ofc sits there as happy as can be and engaging with everything “omg i LOVE robots, what’s that one about??? :DD”

- ((Many years later, senbi would start working on his own color tattoo sleeve bc he’s always thought yugi’s looked SO COOL, and if yugi learned this he would be sobbing on the floor))

- and unlike chiyo, out of atem’s pseudo-siblings, bibi would definitely get along best with Mahad, and would love to just sit in his study with him and watch Mahad write on scrolls and test spells

- would have one of those city apartments stuffed full of plants and books

-Chiyoko was always the protective older sister, he could yell for her and she would come barreling in from wherever she was, ready to throw down. This still stands true into adulthood, though chiyoko is more likely to verbally assault someone than punch them

- while chiyoko would love looking for all the bugs and frogs and snakes on the family summer trips to the countryside, senbi would not. One time, chiyoko was excitedly showing everyone the giant beetle she found and it flew right towards senbi’s face. Atem had to spend the rest of the day inside with senbi watching cartoons.

- Jono and Honda like pulling little scare pranks on chiyoko as she loves chasing them around for retribution, but if they accidentally spook senbi as collateral, anzu’s hitting them with a chair

- really into art and while he cant draw amazingly, he loves visiting artist exhibitions and alleys. will spend his entire paycheck.

- would be a tattoo artist!

Long time no see... Sadly, I've come to say goodbye. I thank all of you for your questions— running this blog was very fun! But I lost motivation to continue, so I debated for a while... and decided to leave it up as an archive (at least for a while, idk if I'll delete it), but ultimately close the curtains.

However ! I wouldn't like the remaining questions to be left unanswered, so I will respond as Chūya to them under the cut of this post. I have no drawings to accompany them, but I wanted to at least answer as a final “thank you” to the people who left them.

Closing this blog leaves a bitter sweet taste in my mouth, but who knows... maybe fate we'll reunite us once more. So... 🍷:ᅠI adore music. One of my biggest interests, I'd say. I respect anything that's clearly made with passion, so I guess the only genres I'd hate would be the ones where you can't feel that passion at all. Overly commercialized music clearly catered to the masses only to gain money make my blood boil, specially when you can tell the artist has potential. But at the same time I still get the motivation of getting payed, y'know? But there's ways to still make a good buck without having to sell your soul to whatever trend is popular at the moment.

As for a favorite song... I generally gravitate towards rock and its subgenres. I like J-Rock, but right now I'd say I'm listening to a lot of international rock— been looping Can't Stop by the Red Hot Chili Peppers lately, but I wouldn't say I have a favorite song. Not right now, at least. Sorry to disappoint ya.

I named him Mari after my dog Mars and a small streamer I watch. He used be human in this which is how I made them and the daughter know each other. The daughter is the requesters OC, and I wasn’t given a name so we’ll just refer to her as the kings daughter in this.

Loved this request and imma have fun with this one. I added the frog king because I can.

Olle:

He didn’t expect to receive help. Not so far into the forest and so far into the bloody water at that. But Olle knew he couldn’t be picky… he had to save her, with any help he could get.

Even if that help was the blood of the root cause of the horrors he’s been through. But most of all… he did expect to find help in a rock. How long had she been stuck in there?

Frog king:

He has no opinion really, he’s just a frog. But he was happy to help her and Olle get across the water.

Mari(the troll that first kidnaps Olle’s sister):

He wishes he could remember. He wishes he knew this body of his could remember her, the little girl he made an oath as a human to protect. The very reason he learned to pick up a blade. The reason he had become such a monster… but he doesn’t, he just knows he must feed the king. Mari may no longer be human, but he still has minimal control, he will stall himself. Maybe they’ll have a chance of escape if he just brings them to the castle rather than make them a meal. No matter how starving he is.

(Lowkey wanna write a mini story on this man now. Of course with requester’s permission because the princess is their OC.)

King Nils:

She was the last thing he saw when he turned into this… she will be the last thing he sees when he finally is free, even if it destroys everything around him.

Despite his hope, he didn’t expect to see his son and daughter together once again. Only this time it isn’t his beloved son, it isn’t the child he lost and that caused him to do this to himself, to his daughter. He doesn’t even care about Olle at that point… he just hopes she can forgive her father for the sins he has committed, and the hell he made her life.

Lemus:

If she’s a friend of Olle’s, then she is a friend of Lemus. He likes her, she’s nice.

He just wishes she didn’t stay when the castle fell and Olle didn’t get hurt.

Näcken:

No thoughts… just Violin -more like violence-, and murder. Why is he falling? Why can’t he feel anything anymore? And why can he hear familiar voices around him? Is this the price he pays for everything? Why does it… feel nice? For once he feels human again. Maybe that fall wasn’t such a bad thing.

hey..... not technically a "fish" but do you want some fun facts about my favorite aquatic animal? I'm hoping you do.

Olms are distant cousins to the beloved axolotl. They are long n noodley. They were discovered in 1689 by a man who thought they were baby dragons. They are not, unfortunately. They're aquatic salamanders.

They are mostly blind, with skin covering their eyes, although they can sense light. They also still have the ability to produce melanin despite living in underwater caves! So they start pink, but can be brown too, and they share the branchy gills of axolotls.

They can go for TEN YEARS without food. They have also been observed to stay completely still for SEVEN YEARS STRAIGHT. lil couch potatoes.

I agree with you anon, I am a fish lover first but I am also an aquatic animal lover and a defender of overlooked animals second. Axolotls and amphibians aren’t talked about too much in the mainstream — though with the appearance of lotls and frogs in Minecraft that has somewhat changed — but olms are mentioned even less!! This is clearly very wrong, as olms are really cool and interesting animals in their own right. They’re like mysterious wise sages, but at the same time reach the kind of silliness that snakes and axolotls and other “no thoughts head empty” long animals have! A hard balance, in my opinion. It’d be cool to make a fun facts comic on them eventually, like I’ve done with Magnapinnas, sea cucumbers, sand dollars and sea bunnies (and some other animals I’m working on).

The plague doctor and the suitcase of leeches oh my god. The huge peak, the luxurious hat, the grandiose posture. Move tf out the way dickovosky, a REAL doctor is IN town.

God the tragedian, my beloved tragedian! The little wavey hand, it's waving AT ME!! AAA, my baby!!! The dots for mouth and eyes are so perfect. You actually did justice to them, ngl. The simpler a character's design seems, the less room there is for error, especially with something as recognisable as a tragedian, so I do believe you when you say it's harder than it looks.

Their hands do look like frogs! I haven't noticed that before. It is endearing in a way. If Executors are birds, worms are... well wroms so are tragedians frogs? Ik they're based on real theatre ninjas designs but I still like the cutesy animal symbolism.

The worm looks so precious! I will protect you precious baby worm, I will ensure the world may never steal your innocent smile or eyes away! Worms really are peak design, we should just unravel more humans and use them to create even more worms instead <333 if they were made from the left over matters then why so perfect??? why so love shaped????

in which charlotte needs to turn to the shadowman to save big daddy, and then finds herself coming back. again and again and again.

honestly this one is like. a HUGE underdog, and yet possibly my fave. people always go for the barbie/dracula due to powerhouse popularity and sleep on this one. the first couple scenes or so are a bit awkward but then it really hits its stride.

2. a spun sugar night's dream (the nutcracker & the mouse king, nutcracker/marie stahlbaum)

Sometimes, her prince is too perfect.Godfather Drosselmeier's single dark eye is not unlike those of his nephew. But in the right light, in the right mood, her beloved’s could have been perfect black circles painted over wood, glossed over in a steady toymaker’s hand.

*throws vibes around like glitter* a fest of candy-related words with an undertone of fae creepiness, just the way i like it. post-fairytale exploration my beloved.

D's kind is not easy to hold on to.

AU where Milton Grimm discovered Red and Badwolf's affair and went to great lengths to silence it. Years later, Daring Charming finds a girl in the woods. Or, Daring Charming accidentally becomes the next Red Riding Hood.

basically a role reversal, but if their initial roles were more or less the same? i wrote the first 12k of it non-stop in a fugue state after watching thronecoming, that's how many brainworms it gave me. i feel like the writing is a bit dated (this is from... 2016? oh wow) but i'm still pretty proud of the work i did regarding daring's characterization here!
