BnHA Chapter 425: New Normal
Previously on BnHA: Everyone was all “and with that we conclude our final battle for better or worse!! We will now commence our slow return to the new normal, beginning with our protagonist and deuteragonist who are miraculously more or less intact, albeit exhausted and mildly traumatized. Also the words ‘more or less’ are kind of doing a lot of heavy lifting there.”
Today on BnHA: The Big 3 and Aoyama are OUT. Shinsou is IN. The Tododrama is PENDING, and the mysterious figure in the shadows is UNIDENTIFIED. Also class 1-A finally becomes class 2-A and it only took them 425 chapters and TEN LONG YEARS. Can you imagine if this series had actually run throughout their high school experience like people once expected. “THE YEAR IS 2044 AND MY HERO ACADEMIA IS FINALLY WINDING TO A CLOSE.” There’s an alternate universe somewhere where this actually happened and we were all so very, very tired.
This is once again a shorter than usual reaction summary post, as opposed to my typical page-by-page liveblog. Not gonna have time to do those for a while yet most likely, but like hell am I gonna miss out on the last days of the series, so here we are.
Once again basing this off of @pikahlua’s spoiler translation summary here!
watching the eighteen inch tall Rat Principal standing at a podium overseeing this graduation ceremony is surreal in the most wonderful way. it’s like receiving your diploma from a sentient Funko Pop
I love how they established that Mic sitting there screaming at the top of his lungs is also a beloved U.A. graduation tradition, and that the senpais just roll with it while everyone else is in varying stages of trying to decide if it’s too late to transfer to another school
ngl sometimes I forget that Ochako and Toga were actually the second canonical f/f ship in this series. shoutout to Hadou and her adorable girlfriend whose name I absolutely cannot recall
absolutely wild that Horikoshi gives credit to Rat Principal for coordinating the entire disaster recovery nationwide. are you serious. the “world-famous” Principal Nezu?? you’re telling me this little capybara is effectively the secret president of Japan now or something. when does he even sleep
“the principal made great contributions to quirk morality education” is also a VERY interesting tidbit that I really want to know more about. “hey guys what if we did a better job at teaching people not to be dicks with their quirks” AND JUST LIKE THAT JAPAN WAS SAVED huzzah
“we lost many things, but we gained nothing” is both HILARIOUS and soundly depressing, but I can see what he’s trying to get at. still an odd choice for a graduation speech though. “our job is all about harm reduction, and we couldn’t even do that this time around, but in the future we hope to balance things out and maybe even get some net positive impact going!” lmao. again it’s all true, and in all honesty it’s spectacular that they managed as well as they did, all things considered. and I guess it would have been disingenuous to just ignore the reality of everything this particular school body has been through and pretend like everything is great right now. but I still can’t help feeling like there was probably a more inspiring way to get this message across lol
regardless of what he says, Aizawa 100% either bribed or threatened Rat Principal behind the scenes in order to stay with his class. and will do so again next year. he can and will keep getting away with it. he is never leaving these kids
and the sheer relief from all of them upon hearing it is all the justification he needs. these kids have four thousand nine hundred and seventeen accumulated traumas among them. they don’t need a four thousand nine hundred and eighteenth. this man is their father ffs. MINA WAS CRYING AND EVERYTHING
Kacchan watched that YouTube video about a dozen times until he managed to tie his tie all on his own with the one hand. and he did an amazing job. he’s such a model citizen now
also it looks to me like he has his right arm hidden in a sling underneath his shirt, which is interesting. if I’m not mistaken (and I very well could be, since it’s been a hot minute since I did any BnHA timeline math), the final battle took place sometime in early May, so this chapter is taking place roughly one month later. the hospital chapter took place about a week after the battle, so it’s been about 3-4 weeks since then. I really want to know what kind of shape Kacchan’s arm is in, but I guess Horikoshi will get to it when he gets to it
also, “we all gotta be together today” was a real wakeup call to me in that it gave me just an absolutely ridiculous amount of feels. just a totally unreasonable amount. and it’s like. listen, self. Kacchan has completed his character growth arc. he’s a team player and a leader who loves all his friends and they all love him in return. we’ve known this for years now. it’s an established fact. you can’t keep bursting into tears or whatever every time he shows it. this is no way to live your life. I need an intervention
anyways later this evening class 2-A is gonna have a celebratory movie night in the common room, and Kacchan is gonna fall asleep two minutes in peacefully surrounded by all his classmates, and they’re all gonna nudge each other and smile fondly and cover him with a blanket and stay up until 2am and Aizawa will have no mercy on them the following morning. it’s gonna be so wholesome you guys
(ETA: I decided to go back and have some more feels about this one tiny Kacchan panel, because apparently the four paragraphs I already wrote about it weren't enough. so the thing is, Sero's wonderment at Katsuki being out of the hospital initially read to me as half bemused awe, and half "oh boy, time to get back into our usual rhythm of antagonizing Kacchan!" but my second time around, I can't help remembering that all of Kacchan's classmates got to watch this kid getting tortured and strangled and stabbed through the heart in 4K. like, even if they were busy with their own fights at the time, there's no way they didn't see the footage later on afterwards.
and that had to have been traumatic for them. their friend literally died and was just lying there so still for so long afterwards. and him getting better and going back to his usual asskicking self later on doesn't just erase those memories, you know? especially with him having lasting, permanent damage afterward. not just his arm, even! like who even knows if his heart is going to be okay long term. when people get organ transplants they have to go on immunosuppressants afterwards because otherwise their body will try to attack the replacement organ. so I wonder how exactly it works when it's still your heart, but it's being held together by various bits and pieces of a spindly little floss man. idk, but I bet you it's still pretty rough.
anyway so long story short, I'm now reading this as one-third bemused awe, one-third joking antagonism, and one-third genuine "no seriously, is it okay for you to be here, please don't do anything to put your health at risk because we seriously cannot handle you dying on us again." and Kacchan's not even disagreeing with him lol, which has to be the most concerning thing of all. "they said it's okay if I rest." even he knows he's pushing it, but it was too important of an occasion to miss. anyway please take it easy kiddo.)
Aoyama leaving makes me sad but it makes total sense for his character after what he’s been through. he needs time to sort things out and continue down his own personal honor-regaining journey. respect
also glad to hear that it was his own choice and that both Rat Principal and Nao would have supported him if he stayed. I still to this day do not understand Naomasa’s actual level of authority lol. like, he’s supposedly a detective, and yet he seems to be personally in charge of every single important police operation, on like a national level. and he has the authority to make decisions like letting Aoyama go free. he is the law, literally
Aoyama trying to feed Deku some farewell cheese also took me out. like he just walked in there and was all “sorry everyone, I’m leaving, but I’ll still aim for the path of a hero and will one day return, don’t you worry!” and at some point in the midst of this tearful speech he made a beeline directly to Izuku and tried to give him some cheese that he apparently just had in his pocket or something. and Izuku was all “YEAH!” all solemnly but HE DIDN’T EVEN TOUCH THAT POCKET CHEESE. like he loves you and accepts you for who you are Yuuga but COME ON
at this point in the chapter it also became clear to me that Aizawa has his hair up in some sort of loosely assembled messy bun and that’s why it looks so especially flowing and gorgeous today. this is great cinema
and then AT LONG LAST, the admission of Shinsou into class 2-A. they tried everything they could to keep him out, BUT NOT EVEN THE END OF THE WORLD COULD STOP HIM. his rightful place
Ojiro’s scandalized response to hearing Fuwa refer to Aizawa as “Era-sen”, and then Fuwa subsequently revealing all of Aizawa’s secrets and Aizawa getting flustered and kicking her out, was one of the most delightful sequences I’ve read. “nooooo don’t tell them that, what the hell am I gonna threaten them with now”
Izuku has not even attempted to crack a smile since the final battle, aside from when he was frantically trying to reassure Kacchan in the hospital. I’m worried about him but also loving this a little bit, ngl. I am content to wait for you to eventually have a proper breakdown, mister Greatest Hero
also I singled him out on the whole not-smiling thing, but really this is true for just about all of them. my heart aches :(
were there really so many people freaking out over Izuku’s hair that Horikoshi felt compelled to throw in that “HEY DEKU-KUN, YOU SHAVED YOUR HAIR LIKE THAT DUE TO AN INJURY, RIGHT? BUT IT’LL GROW BACK, RIGHT!?” line in there lol. the hilarious thing is that this chapter was already in the books before 424 was released, so it means that Horikoshi anticipated the backlash ahead of time. the man knows his audience
and now for this mysterious little barefoot man randomly emerging from some rubble somewhere. who are you. fandom already thinks you’re everyone from Tenko to Hisashi lol. my personal theory is that he’s just a random citizen who’s hurt and traumatized and needs help. and unlike what happened with baby Tenko once upon a time, this young man actually will be helped by a hero in his moment of need, and it’ll be all hopeful and stuff because SOCIETY IS CHANGING FOR THE BETTER NOW HOORAY
or maybe he really is Tenko, idk. what do I know lol. don’t listen to me
lastly, Shouto out here immediately leaving U.A. after class and ruining my dreams of a class 2-A movie night. FINE THEN. GO AND BE WITH YOUR FAMILY my precious little life preserver. and I’m actually really, really excited to see what their endgame is actually, so yes, Horikoshi, bring it on please and thank you

Not Your Wild Cat, Chapter One
Description: Sasha and the rest of her class are back for their last school year at UA. A lot has changed and there's more excitement to come. But things have to get good before they get bad, right?
OC Credit: @jix-the-dragon

Tumblr media
Name: Sasha Annelie Quinn
Quirk: Leopard. She has the characteristics and abilities of a leopard. Her most noticeable characteristics are her ears, claws, tail, and leopard-spotted skin.
An ex-agent for the commission, Sasha used to do things she would probably regret until the day she died. With her mind drowning in vengeance, she made sure to do everything the commission asked her to so that one day, she would have the opportunity to get back at the man who took everything away from her; To take down All For One.
Every mission led up to her last. The mission that made her the person she is today. She was given simple instructions; Through a few connections, get in contact with the League of Villains and offered to be their mole, their traitor, as long as she got into UA (which would be guaranteed no matter what. Pose as a student at UA High School, acting as a normal teenage girl. Her school persona didn’t matter too much though. As long as she got the information she needed from them to get in the league’s good graces, everything was fine, as long as no one got seriously hurt. All the while, she would be double-crossing the league, giving the commission information, enough to locate and corner AFO. She would contribute to his takedown and after that… Well, she didn’t know.
But to be fair, there was a lot Sasha didn’t know. She didn’t know she would enjoy being a normal teenage girl, socializing with other students she called ‘friends’, and eventually falling in love. She couldn’t even imagine that she’d end up in actual training to be an actual hero, fighting for what’s right, no longer an agent in the shadows. She definitely wasn’t ‘Agent Wild Cat’ anymore. No, now she was Namir, pouncing on injustice.
But everyone needs a break sometimes… Right?
- Naomasa & Sasha’s Summer Cabin -
Sasha and Naomasa always came by here once a summer for about a week, their little cabin in the woods. During that time, she and Eijirou couldn’t talk much on the phone either. Though she loved spending time with Naomasa, she always missed him as much as he missed her. Noticing this, Naomasa thought it would be a good idea to invite her classmates. He could use some time to himself anyway.
Sasha walks into the cabin with her classmates, smiling as they look around in awe. Even she couldn’t help but admire the cabin she’d been coming to for years. It was beautiful, pretty big for a cabin, and very cozy. She loved coming here, it gave her an opportunity to train and hone her skills in the wilderness, a place where she could be undisturbed. Well, until Naomasa called her to check on her.
“This is amazing, Quinnie! You get to spend every summer here?” Mina exclaimed, eyes practically sparkling in excitement as she threw herself onto the cushioned couch. Just like the rest of the class, she was dressed in summer clothes.
Uraraka nudged Sasha a little, giving her a cheeky grin. “Bet you figured the only person you’d come here with other than your uncle was Kirishima. It's pretty romantic if you ask me. We aren’t third-wheeling, are we?” She teased, pointing at Eijirou who was talking to Bakugou at the door.
Sasha blushed, glancing at her boyfriend before looking back at Uraraka. “Ochako! I-It’s not like that,” She scolded her friend, shaking her head. Still, the thought of spending the week at a cabin with just Eijirou was tempting. Though she knew Naomasa would never be okay with that, even if she was eighteen now.
As if summoned by her thoughts, Naomasa walked over to the girls. From the look in his eyes, Sasha could tell he overheard their conversation and wasn’t pleased with the topic of conversation. “I don’t mind Sasha spending time with her boyfriend. But if she’s going to invite one person, why not have all of her classmates join us? I want her to have fun with all of you,” He spoke loud enough for the entire class to hear, looking Eijirou in his eyes with a smile for the last part. “Especially if that means the two of them don’t get any alone time.”
Eijirou felt a shiver go down his spine at Naomsasa’s gaze. It didn’t match his smile. Rather, his eyes let him know he was going to be pissed he even found them alone once. Of course, he was still going to take that risk, but the consequences of getting caught made him nervous.
She could tell he was playing with Eijirou a bit but sensing her boyfriend’s nerves, Sasha lightly slapped Naomasa’s arm. “We aren’t going to do anything inappropriate. Still, expecting me not to spend any time with my boyfriend is absurd.” She sighed, crossing her arms.
“I never said you couldn’t spend time with him. Just not alone.” He clarified, ruffling her hair and earning a pout. As far as he was concerned, it was his job to keep her safe. From danger and teenage boys.
She rolled her eyes playfully, knowing there was no convincing him of anything else. Placing a hand on his shoulder, she gave him a small nod. “Okay, okay. No more scaring him though, okay? Eijirou is very respectful.”
She looked at Eijirou, her features softening. As they made eye contact, she crossed the room over to him and held his hand, earning a gentle squeeze from him. They exchanged happy smiles and Naomasa sighed through his nostrils. He remembered being that young and in love. He remembered being a teenager and exactly what he did back in his day.
He wanted to trust Sasha though. He knew in his heart they would find a way to spend time alone somehow, just not under his watch. When they did, he was sure they wouldn’t do anything too worrying for him.
Sasha was a good kid, she hung around other good kids. In the few years he’d known Eijirou, he’d seen him grow up from a first year to a third year. He’d met his family, his two sweet mothers, and had dinners with them. They’d become an extended family, which is why he felt so comfortable joking (half-joking, more like) with Eijirou about being alone with Sasha.
“Alright, alright, lovebirds. I’m sure you kids are ready to have some fun. Your third year of school is next week, after all. Why don’t you all go swimming?” Naomasa gave them a small smile, looking over the happy faces of the students. He was happy that Sasha had found love in such a remarkable group of heroes in training. And after just this school year, his little girl would be a graduate of UA, a top hero academy. He couldn’t be prouder, so they deserved as much fun as possible before it got tough.
Sasha perked up at the suggestion. “That’s a great idea, Nao,” She said before looking at her classmates. “There’s a creek nearby, safe to swim in. The current isn’t strong at all, it’s pretty relaxing. If you guys are up for it, we should do some swimming to kick things off.”
Jirou gave them a small grin, leaning against the back of the couch. “Sounds like a plan to me. I haven’t gone swimming in a while.” She agreed, looking at Denki. “And if I remember correctly, you said you were gonna take me ages ago.” Her tone sounded pointed and accusing, but her smile and the amusement in her eyes gave away her sarcasm.
He wrapped an arm around her shoulder, gently rubbing her arm. “I mean... I am accompanying you swimming today, aren’t I?” He said slowly as if trying to string together an excuse. Jirou scoffed playfully and the two began to bicker.
Sasha was glad she and Eijirou weren’t the only couple in class. Denki and Jirou had gotten together last year. Hagakure had a boyfriend from another school that Sasha had met once on a double date.  Izuku and Ochako were an interesting case, as in they acted like a couple, but wanted to focus more on their careers than a relationship.
Bakugou supposedly had a girlfriend too, but he never let them meet her. Often, they teased and said his girlfriend was imaginary, though it never phased him, as if he were expecting those comments. All he said was he preferred to keep his private life private, and he left it at that, aside from a few comments on how not everyone was so mushy and sentimental. If he did have a girlfriend, she couldn’t help but wonder if he acted differently with her. She’d love to see that from Bakugou one day.
After deciding as a group that swimming was a great idea, everyone turned to Naomasa to thank him for having them, to which he casually waved them off. “Don’t worry about it, you guys, just have fun. I’ll be around this week, but I’ll stay out of your way for the most part. Old guys like me can’t swim like I used to.”
Sasha raised an eyebrow at the statement. “You’re not even old. You just want an excuse to stay inside and nap.” She accused, smirking at how well she knew him. She seemed to hit the nail on the head from how he sheepishly avoided her eyes.
“There might be some truth to that. Now, why don't you all bring your bags up and change? There are two rooms, but they’re pretty big. And of course, the guys go in one room, the girls go into another.” He nodded to them before hauling his duffle bag over his shoulder and going to his room.
Eijirou leaned down, grabbing both his bag and Sasha’s, whose bag he insisted on bringing inside in the first place. She tried to tell him that she could carry her bag, but he wouldn’t have it. “I got this, babe.” He told her, grinning widely as he started walking.
She quickly went after him, knowing he didn’t even know his way to her room. “Okay, Darling. At least let me show you where it is.” She giggled, jogging to walk ahead of him and leading the way to her room. The other girls trailed behind, aweing and cooing at them. Sasha and Eijirou let it slide, having gotten used to their teasing right now. Sasha would get them back later.
When they reached her room, Sasha looked up at him, taking the bag from his hand. “Okay, Red Riot. My bags and I have safely been escorted to the bedroom. You are relieved of your duties… For now.” She said matter-of-factly, earning a laugh from him.
“Always happy to help, Namir. I’ll let you get changed.” He leaned down to give her a short, sweet kiss and she leaned up to meet him in the middle. But before their lips could meet, they heard Naomasa gruffly clearing his throat. Turning their heads, they saw him peeking from his room at them. Sasha groaned and put her hands up in surrender, the both of them pulling away.
Instead, as Eijirou walked away, he used his thumb and pointer finger to make a heart, and she returned the sweet gesture. She truly loved him, everything little thing he did made her heart flutter. Even small gestures like that made her smile.
The girls started to change and Sasha could feel the talk approaching already. In an attempt to escape it, she tried to redirect it before a word could be said. “So, Jirou. You and Denki are so precious! The way you guys go back and forth is so adorable.” She said, hoping this would distract them and satiate them for today. Sure, “satiated” might sound extreme, but it felt right when it came to this class.
What Sasha didn’t anticipate was Jirou being ready to retaliate. “Hah, not as cute as Kirishima carrying your bag for you just now.” The purple-haired girl smirked at Sasha, holding back a chuckle as she watched her friend pout. It seemed Jirou was expecting this, but this hadn’t exactly been the first time Sasha had done this.
Mina nodded, looking at Sasha with eyes that practically sparkled. The look on her face resembled the same look Mina always had after reading a romance manga. “He treats you like such a queen, Quinnie.” She gushed, changing into her swimsuit.
Sasha giggled softly and nodded, pulling on her own swimsuit. “He does treat me really well. I’m really lucky to have him.” She admitted, sitting on the bed. Even though she avoided talking like this, she didn’t dislike it. If that were the case, she knew her classmates would have already respected that. She just knew that once she started, it was she who wouldn’t be able to stop gushing. Knowing that, the girls always pushed, like sisters would.
“There’s a lot I want to show him around these parts too. I’ve always wanted to see the sunset with him, it looks so beautiful out here.” She sighed softly, falling back onto the bed smiling. The girls watched her with a smile, finding it cute how enamored she was with Kirishima.
“Awe! That’s so romantic, Sasha!” Hagakure sat beside her, bouncing a little in her seat. They couldn’t see her expression, but they knew she had the same smile on her face as them. Aside from Mina, Hagakure was always almost the most excited to talk about romance. “We’ll try to give you guys as much space as possible, okay?”
Acknowledging her friends' support with a nod, Sasha expressed her gratitude. "Thanks, but I still think it'll be difficult with Nao around," she admitted, a hint of concern creasing her brow. Sasha was well aware of how Nao could be. As the man who had raised her, he had always been protective. Sasha anticipated that he wouldn't easily allow her and Eijirou to have some private moments if he could intervene. Nao's protective nature was a force to be reckoned with, and Sasha knew he would do everything in his power to ensure their time together was anything but alone.
Mina flashed Sasha a mischievous grin, her thumb shooting up in a gesture of assurance. "Don't you worry, Quinnie. I'll make sure to get you guys a moment! Your sunset dream will come true!" Mina's playful enthusiasm hinted at her determination to create the perfect opportunity for Sasha and her boyfriend. And knowing Mine, Sasha believed her. She had no idea how she’d do it, but she believed it.
The girls completed the task of putting on their swimsuits, exchanging sweet compliments, and admiring themselves in the mirror. It wasn't a display of self-absorption, but rather the confident self-appreciation that radiates from girls comfortable in their own skin.
Equipped with everything necessary for a creek-side swim, they descended the stairs to join the boys. The first sound that greeted them was a low whistle from Denki, prompting a shy blush from Jirou. Naomasa, wearing his own swimsuit, shot Denki a scolding look, which was met with a laughter-filled apology. It was evident that Naomasa was standing in for the absent guardians, keeping a watchful eye on their children, even though they were all well into their late teens. Sasha didn’t expect anything less from him.
"You look good, Sasha. The one-piece was a great choice," Eijirou complimented his girlfriend, smiling at her. She could tell he didn't mean it in a perverted way; he simply wanted to compliment her, and she awed softly.
"Eiji, you look good too. I told you yellow would look great on you," she returned the compliment, exchanging a warm glance with him. The couple shared a moment of genuine appreciation, basking in the glow of their mutual admiration.
"You look nice too, Jirou. Missed you while you were gone," Denki gave a dramatic pout, walking over to her. It seemed he was going for a hug, but Jirou was quick to put a hand on his chest. The playful banter between them showcased a comfortable camaraderie, filled with inside jokes and shared experiences.
Through her blush, she smiled at Denki. “No way, not now. We’re in public, dummy,” she said affectionately, bringing her hand up to pet his hair. Sighing, he looked up at her like a kicked puppy. “What? Not even hugs?” he asked, leaning into her palm.
She shook her head and narrowed her eyes suspiciously. “It always starts with a hug when it comes to you. Then you wanna get all kissy and cuddly,” she pointed out, making Denki laugh as if he had just been caught. “Okay, okay, you got me.” He laid his head on her shoulder, respecting her boundaries. “I can’t help it. My girlfriend is just too cool,” he said, smirking as she looked away with a flushed expression.
This time, the girls of the class turned their attention to Jirou’s relationship, collectively gushing over them. Jirou groaned from the attention, trying to hide her face behind her beans. “Let’s just go to the creek already! I wanna swim!” she said hastily, pulling Denki, who seemed pleased, out by the hand despite not knowing where she was going.
Sasha chuckled and exchanged a glance with Eijirou, clearly happy for their friends finding such happiness. Sasha would have been lying if she said she didn’t enjoy being on the other side of the situation this time. Now it was her who was admiring her friend’s relationship and not the other way around.
“We should go. Don’t want anyone getting lost,” she said, holding hands with Eijirou. If Naomasa minded, he didn’t say anything, only sparing their joint hands a quick glance. This was okay with him, she supposed.
Eijirou nodded in agreement and squeezed her hand before interlocking their fingers. “Yeah, you’re probably right about that, babe.” The pair joined their friends, each couple radiating the warmth of companionship as they made their way to the creek, ready for a day of fun and relaxation.
When they finally reached the creek, everyone was quick to get inside. “I have to admit, this is quite nice. The water feels great.” He leaned back in the water, smiling with a content expression. It was rare to see Iida, who was still the class representative, so relaxed these days.
Izuku nodded, smiling fondly at Ochako who seemed to be quietly enjoying the cool water surrounding her. “He’s right. It feels really nice, right, Ochako?” He asked, tucking a strand of her out of that girl’s face, who simply nodded.
The person who looked the happiest was Tsuyu. Like Ochako, she didn’t say anything, but it was obvious from the way she seemed to decompress. Her eyes were calm, at peace. Sasha remembered just how much she liked water, and was happy to see her enjoying herself.
The rest of their visit to the creek was filled with fun. The class played a couple of games while Naomasa watched, and sat over at a shallow area of the creek where he could still see everyone.
The first thing they did was play around and splash at each other, not a particular goal in mind other than to not get splashed too much. Sasha exclaimed that Todoroki was cheating quite a few times, using his quirk to make the water colder and stun her from the shock of it. But Todoroki, who was cheating, denied it each time, making Sasha look like a sore loser. Because of this, Sasha targeted him in particular in this war of water.
Much to her excitement, Todoroki was disqualified when he was caught making an ice shield, trying to hide from her relentless water attack. He was sentenced to sit with Naomasa, which he seemed to enjoy just as much. The two got along with each other surprisingly well.
The remainder of the creek visit was marked by friendly competitions, with even Todoroki joining in this time. Activities ranged from chicken fights to contests to see who could hold their breath the longest. True to her expectations, Bakugou emerged as the most competitive, so Sasha decided to be his competition this time, particularly during the chicken fight
Okay, so maybe Sasha was just as competitive. She couldn’t help out though. She’d gotten rid of most of her bad habits, but the need to win was something she held onto for the sake of successful hero work. She could understand why Bakugou was the way he was sometimes. It was a good motivator.
The water splashed around them as Bakugou and Sasha engaged in a fierce battle atop their partner's shoulders. Sasha sat atop Eijirou’s and Bakugou sat on Izuku’s. Laughter echoed along with the sounds of splashing, creating an atmosphere of friendship and joy. It was hilarious to watch Bakugou and Izuku go back and forth.
The day unfolded with shared moments, playful banter, and the strengthening of bonds among the group. As the sun dipped lower in the sky, casting a warm glow over the scene, Sasha couldn't help but feel grateful for the friendships and connections she had forged during this day by the creek.
As she approached, she saw Mina and a few others playfully attacking Naomasa with water, turning the scene into a spirited water fight. Naomasa laughed and tried to shield himself while retaliating with playful splashes.
Mina, with a mischievous glint in her eyes, turned to Sasha and gave her a wink, silently conveying that this was the perfect opportunity for Sasha to sneak off with Eijirou while Naomasa was happily distracted. The romantic moment during the sunset with Eijirou that Sasha had been hoping for seemed within reach. Grinning at Mina, Sasha seized the chance, motioning for Eijirou to follow her as they slipped away from the playful chaos by the creek.
“What’s goin on, Sash? Your uncle will kill us if he finds out we snuck off,” He said, letting her pull him through the trees. He didn’t seem too worried though, he actually looked more excited than worried, happy to bond with just her.
She smiled back at him. “Mina’s buying us time. I want you to see the sunset, and the perfect spot nearby.” She told him, moving a little faster. She pulled him downstream until they came to a small clearing that the creek ran through.
The secluded area they found was truly beautiful, and Eijirou couldn't help but marvel at the enchanting scenery. The gentle buzz of fireflies started to fill the air, casting a magical glow around them, almost like candles. Butterflies fluttered by in a hurry, adding to the picturesque setting. The scent of flowers and fresh grass wafted through the air, gently filling his senses. It was a stark contrast to the city life they were accustomed to, and Eijirou found himself captivated by the serene beauty of the natural surroundings. Life, he realized, was undeniably more breathtaking outside the bustling city.
Sasha took a seat by the creek, Eijirou following suit. They both looked at each other lovingly, happy to be in such a beautiful place in each other’s company. Just being together made everything all the more beautiful.
“I love you, Ei. Thank you for everything. I know we’ve had an interesting couple of years, to say the least,” She and Eijirou shared a laugh, as interesting was quite the word to use. “hectic” and “chaotic” probably fit better. “But, we made it through. All because you believed in me from the very start.” She finished, taking his hand in hers again.
He found himself flustered by how suddenly she was praising him. Shaking his head, he brought his hand up to kiss her knuckles. “C’mon, Sash, you’re giving me too much credit. I don’t know if you know this, but you’re easy to love.” He smiled against her hand, looking up at her affectionately. “That’s why I’m so lucky to call you mine.”
This time it was her turn to blush. Eijirou made her feel like the most loved person in the world, and he did it like it was nothing. Just a few words had her picturing the rest of their lives together and the sunsets they’d see throughout it.
She couldn’t fight the urge to move forward, gently pulling her hand away and pressing her lips against his. He was surprised but didn’t spend too much time hesitating. It wasn’t like they were going to have much time alone on this trip, after all. So when they kissed, they hoped it would convey the love they had for each other. They hoped this would make up for a week’s worth of kisses, which they would probably make up for next week anyway.
As they lingered by the creek, they gradually pulled away from the tender kiss, settling into a warm embrace. Nestled at the water's edge, they whispered sweet nothings to each other. The gentle sounds of the creek and the rustle of leaves above provided a soothing ambiance to their intimate exchange, creating a core memory that would not soon be forgotten.
They didn’t stay for too long. As much as they wanted to, they knew Naomasa would end up getting suspicious soon if they were gone for too long. Sasha guided Eijirou back to the creek, where the entire class was attacking Naomasa, except for Todoroki who tried his best to defend the man.
Sasha smiled fondly at the sight. She was happy to see Naomasa enjoying himself as much as everyone else was. Something work-related had been bothering him lately, so the sight of his smile was welcome.
She and Eijirou had returned just in time, as Naomasa had started waving his arm. “I give up, I give up,” He told them, the class pausing their attack. Mina let out a breath she didn’t realize she was holding in as Sasha and Eijirou returned. This distraction was getting hard to keep up. Thankfully, the rest of the class realized what she was doing and decided to help out.
“Let’s head back and dry off. Getting a bit cold, and you guys are going to get sick if we stay inside of this creek.” Naomasa said, climbing out of the creek. The others joined, chattering and laughing amongst themselves. The couple integrated with the group quickly, sharing a grin.
The group strolled back to the cabin, the chatter of the students filling the air with excitement. Naomasa wore a subtle smile, eavesdropping on snippets of their conversations as they shared their favorite moments of the day. He must have been softening up with old age because the sound filled him with peace.
Upon their return to the cabin, the air buzzed with the anticipation of warm showers and a change into comfortable attire. The sound of water cascading in the showers mixed with the shuffling of clothes being swapped filled the building. For a moment, Naomasa even considered raising another child, but he quickly dismissed the thought.
In their cozy pajamas, the group gathered around a picnic table situated outside the cabin. A few steps away, Naomasa manned the grill, tending to their dinner. The delicious aroma wafted through the air, mingling with the laughter and chatter of the students. Despite the sizable group, Naomasa tackled the grilling task with patience, embodying the spirit of a father at a barbeque.
A mischievous smile played on Sasha's lips as she pitched an idea to the group. "How about we play a game? Just to kill time," she suggested, her eyes gleaming with excitement.
Intrigued gazes fixed upon Sasha as she delved into her proposal. "Nao and I used to play hide-and-seek in the woods when I was younger," she shared with a nostalgic glint in her eyes. "It was always fun, and it helped with my training," she added, a touch of excitement lacing her voice.
Naomasa laughed, overhearing her suggestion. “Don’t do it, kids. She’ll always find you. Sasha’s amazing at this game,” He warned them with an amused expression. This was Sasha’s favorite game to play out here. If they decided to play, he knew they’d be safe. There was a perimeter around the cabin and Sasha would be able to pick up any cry for help within it if necessary. And the chances of it coming to that were low, as this area was known for being safe for kids younger than these students.
Bakugou, never one to back down from a challenge, met Naomasa's words with confidence. "Hah? I don’t care if she’s the hide-and-seek champion. She isn’t finding me in a game," he boasted defiantly.
Sasha, undeterred, smirked at him, raising an eyebrow challengingly. "Wanna bet?" she countered, ready to prove her skills in the upcoming game.
That was how this game of hide-and-seek started. A few of her classmates chose to stay back with Naomasa. Iida and Koda weren’t into being scared. Neither was Hagakure, who was worn out from their day at the creek anyway. The others didn’t seem to lack energy at all as they went running into the woods, using the flashlights of their phones to navigate.
While a few, like Bakugou, were supremely confident in their ability to evade Sasha altogether. Others, like Ochako, embraced the challenge, anticipating the thrill of the pursuit. Their different attitudes set the stage for an exciting game of hide-and-seek for Sasha.
Sasha didn’t need a flashlight, not with her vision. She was going to be using her advanced senses to track down her classmates, which is why this was her favorite way to train growing up. Too bad she could only do it one week out of the summer with Naomasa.
As she made her way through the woods, she tried to pick up the scent of any of her classmates. She could faintly smell them among the scent of flowers and grass. She was able to pick up Bakugou’s scent stronger than anyone else's. The smell of Nitroglycerin was hard to miss. She smirked, amused by how he would be her first victim, despite boasting the most.
He had beaten her in that chicken fight earlier. Now, she was going to get revenge by finding him.
Weaving through trees, she searched hard for him. Bakugou was a fast runner, but he wasn’t faster than her. Still, he was smart, as he ran into an area filled with flowers. She could still pick up his scent, but it was getting lost. Especially since the flowers he ran through began making him blend in. She needed to be smart and strategize. That’s when she had the idea to cut him off.
Peeking behind a tree, he jumped in surprise when he noticed Sasha already waiting for him. He let out a groan at the sight, acknowledging his defeat as she had successfully located him.
Before she could speak, he began stomping off. “Yeah, yeah, I got it.” He grunted, making his way back. It seemed he already knew how to return. Sasha was right to get him out first. If she had completely lost his scent, he could have easily mapped out an escape route. That meant she had to find the others quickly too.
Smiling excitedly, she set off again. She’d never played this game in these woods with more than one person. This had become more challenging, and more interesting.
Sasha reveled in the thrill of the game as she darted through the dense woods. The moonlight cast eerie shadows on the trees, adding an extra layer of mystery to the night. Her classmates, scattered and concealed, became her prey in this nocturnal hide-and-seek adventure.
The excitement pulsed through her veins as she employed a mix of strategy and agility to pick off her unsuspecting targets. The rustling leaves beneath her feet masked her movements, and the night air carried the hushed whispers of the forest.
In the distance, a flicker of movement caught her keen eye. Ochako, with a mischievous grin, decided to play along for the thrill of the chase. Sasha approached stealthily, using the trees as cover. Just as she closed in, Ochako surrendered with a playful laugh, revealing her hiding spot.
Izuku, on the other hand, held a defiant stance, confident that he could outwit Sasha. Their eyes locked in a silent challenge. Determined, Sasha maneuvered through the woods, tracking his movements with precision. Behind a tree, Izuku attempted to conceal himself, but Sasha, anticipating his every move, cornered him effortlessly.
The game continued, each capture adding to the collective enjoyment of the night. Sasha's agile pursuit and the students' spirited attempts to evade her painted the scene with a lively energy. The rustling leaves, the moonlit shadows, and the laughter and playful screams of her classmates faded into the night.
The last person she found was Eijirou. She was saving the best for last.
Having heard his classmates getting caught throughout the night, he was proud of himself for evading Sasha. Though in the same breath, he was cheering for Sasha to catch everyone. He was always going to support Sasha, even if that meant him getting caught by her. Her determination, agility, and competitive spirit were some of the very qualities that drew him to her, after all.
Suddenly, Sasha was in front of him. She had suddenly hung upside down in front of him, like Spider. Her knees bent around a branch, keeping her up. Her sudden appearance had him yelping in surprise, clutching his chest. Then he began laughing, grinning with her.
"You got me," he admitted with a nod, his eyes reflecting a mix of surprise and amusement. Sasha's unconventional approach to catching him had certainly succeeded in breaking through his defenses. The unexpected encounter had felt just like Sasha though. He knew how much she liked to travel through trees, after all.
She took a moment to admire how handsome he looked smiling like that in the moonlight. Leaning in, she kissed him for the second time that day. This was quicker, barely giving him enough time to kiss back.
Breaking the kiss, Sasha giggled softly, her eyes sparkling with affection. "Sorry. You just look really cute," she confessed, her smile infectious. She could tell he didn’t mind by how his gaze softened. “Also, I’ve always wanted to kiss you upside down like this.”
Eijirou responded in kind, initiating the next kiss. Sasha welcomed it, savoring the moment as they shared a sweet connection amidst the moonlit ambiance. "You're not a spider though, babe," he teased, grinning against her lips before pulling away. She laughed at his words before sitting up on the branch again and dropping down.
Taking his hand in her, they made their way back to the cabin where their food was ready. Naomasa gave them a look, making them smile nervously. Sighing, he shook his head. “I’ll let it slide tonight. Come eat.” He said, patting their shoulders.
As the students gathered around the picnic table in their cozy pajamas, the aroma of the grilled dinner filled the air. Naomasa, having tended to the barbecue, served up the meal, and the students eagerly dug in. The shared experience of Sasha's pursuit through the woods became a lively topic of conversation, each classmate recounting their encounters with a mix of laughter and excitement.
The prospect of the upcoming school year added an extra layer of excitement to the already vibrant atmosphere. As the students enjoyed their evening under the starlit sky, Sasha couldn't help but think about the adventures and challenges that awaited them when classes officially began.

Day By Day: Chapter 4 Preview
Welcome to Being a Hero
It didn’t take long for some of the students of 1-A to get to work on searching for an agency to do their work studies at. Midoriya was a good example. After talking with All Might and Mirio, he had gone down to Sir Nighteye’s agency that afternoon to see what he could find out about it. When he returned to Heights Alliance that evening, he brought some very good news with him.
“You found an agency for your work study?” said Ochako as soon as Midoriya broke the news to his classmates. “Congratulations, Deku!”
“That’s awesome!” added Mina, pumping her fist in the air.
“Indeed,” said Iida with a short nod of his own. “Well done, Midoriya.”
Midoriya shook Iida’s hand as the latter offered it to him. “Thanks, guys.”
“Thank you. You’re an example to us all.” Iida had a point. Midoriya made a lot of strides, didn’t he?
“I dunno how the rest of us are supposed to compete, though,” said Kaminari, catching the conversation as he entered the room with a few of the other 1-A boys.
“Yeah, you’ll be working at Sir Nighteye’s agency,” said Sero. “That’s seriously amazing.” Midoriya stared at the ground, the tips of his ears turning a furious shade of red.
“And I hear that Togata recommended you,” added Kirishima. Oh, so that was why Midoriya asked Ruby about Nighteye… Mirio must’ve brought it up to him, and he got curious.
“Pretty impressive, man,” Sato said.
“Um. Yeah, I guess,” said Midoriya as he still stared down at the carpet. Despite the good news, he looked a little anxious about the opportunity to work with Sir Nighteye. Maybe it was because he was working with such an impressive Pro Hero? And here Ruby thought that any potential excitement about that would outweigh the nerves. It was a bit weird.
Todoroki stood a bit away from the rest of the group with Bakugo, muttering something about the two of them needing to catch up with the others. At least, Ruby assumed that was what he said. She could barely hear him, but whatever it was, it made Bakugo huff in annoyance.
“I wish I had a place picked out,” said Ochako sadly. “The school said Gunhead hasn’t had enough interns, so his agency is a no-go.” Well, that sucked.
“I know what you mean,” said Tsuyu, equally disappointed. “I wanted to go to Selkie’s, but that’s out too.”
“Yeah, so is Fourth Kind,” said Kirishima from his place draped over the back of one of the couches. “He doesn’t even accept students for work studies.”
Ochako turned to the flowery speedster that was sitting beside her. “What about you, Ruby?” she asked. “Are you going to go back to work for the Doctor?” Ah… about that… Ruby never did tell her classmates, did she…?
“Well…” Ruby shifted in her seat as she began. “When work studies were first brought up, he was the first person I thought of. Even after what happened during our internships, he invited me to come and work with him again. But…”
Midoriya raised a brow as he sat down. “Does he not take—”
“No, it's not that.” Ruby was pretty sure she saw a few more students there while she was doing her internship with him a few months back. “When I was talking about it with my dad, he—”
“Wait, your dad?” said Kaminari, cutting Ruby off. Ruby nodded. “Hey, that’s not fair. It’s favoritism!” Considering what her dad had told her, Ruby was pretty sure that it wasn’t that. …was it? Kamianri loudly groaned. “Thanks to all these requirements, a ton of agencies are ruled out right off the bat. And you already have a foot in the door thanks to your dad! Totally unfair…!” Ruby looked down at the floor. Was it really like that?
“It’s not really unfair when you think about it,” said Ojiro, thankfully coming to Ruby’s rescue. At least there was someone on her side. “Rose has connections thanks to her family, and she’s using them to help her. It’s like you said, there’s already a ton of agencies that have pulled out, so it’s hard to figure out which ones we can apply to. And we can’t really blame them. Unlike the internships, we’ll be directly involved, so if anything were to go wrong, then—”
“Then the Pros will have to take responsibility for whatever happened.” All the students currently settled in the common room whipped around at the sound of that voice. Mr. Aizawa had entered the dorm and overheard the conversation that his kids were in the middle of having.

Last chapter of this volume! Can’t believe we’re already through four volumes, and we’re not even done with the second full arc yet. I mean, later arcs are gonna be even longer, but like. Yeah.
[No. 35 - Battle On, Challengers!]
We move on to the next match - Kaminari versus Shiozaki! I’m actually kind of marveled that they were able to thaw out that entire glacier in any sort of timely manner. That’s quirks for you!
Present Mic announces Shiozaki as class 1b’s assassin, and also reveals that he apparently either doesn’t know the full quote for ‘every rose has its thorns’ or started to say it, only to realize she didn’t have roses and scrambled to compensate. Kaminari, meanwhile, gets announced as a ‘sparking, killing boy.’ Really kind of morbid on this round, huh?
Shiozaki turns around to object to Present Mic’s descriptor as an ‘assassin’, stating that she’s merely come this far seeking victory. Present Mic apologises, and Kaminari just kind of watches while admiring her. He takes notes of her eyes, and then thinks about how strong she is. He then sort of counters his previous admiration of strength by asking himself if he really has to hit someone so pretty with a full discharge, then concludes his ‘battle plan’ by determining that he’ll ask her out once all this is over.
Tumblr media
Present Mic starts the match while Shiozaki is still focused on talking to Mic - which means she’s facing away from Kaminari. Which is kind of a dick move on Mic’s part, but eh, I guess ‘heroes have to be ready for anything,’ yarda yarda etcetera.
Kaminari asks Shiozaki if she wants to grab something to eat when they’re done there, and that he’s happy to console her if she wants. She turns to stare at him in confusion, just in time to see him charging up his whole body with his quirk. Kaminari makes a quip about this match probably being over in an instant - and then we cut to the immediate aftermath, where Present Mic comments on how it’s already over while Kaminari wheys out in the grasp of Shiozaki’s vines. Shiozaki was both able to create a shield against the electricity and yank Kaminari into the air and away from her, thus causing him to short-circuit.
One on patrol, Mount Lady comments on Shiozaki being a promising one, and another plant user. Kamui Woods amits he wishes he could’ve seen her up close, but that they need to get back to work.
Back in the stadium, Midnight announces Shiozaki moving on to the second round. Shiozaki is relieved to have no wasted the opportunity bestowed upon her, and the narrative finally gives us an informational blurb on her quirk.
Tumblr media
...A strange ending note there, but sure. Some of the crowd - or possibly Izuku? Since he’s sinking into a muttering fest right after - comments on the ‘match’ and the participants. Shiozaki’s ability to use her quirk is something else, between building walls, binding enemies… Kaminari’s quirk was no use against her. She countered him well. He might’ve had a chance if he could maneuver better, but he panicked and short-circuited after one attack.
Ochako hears muttering besides her and is a bit alarmed, looking over to see Izuku in the middle of an analysis fugue. Izuku mutters about thinking Kaminari’s quirk would be stronger, but Shiozaki got fourth in the entrance exam, and she’s the real deal. The vine moves are similar to Kamui Wood’s binding attacks, and binding types are always strong, to the point where you almost never see someone break out. It’s pretty much impossible to dodge all the vine attacks, so the only counter is to rip them apart with brute strength - ah, but to prevent that, they tend to go for the hands first.
Tumblr media
(...and I just NOW realized that this specific commentary about binding-type quirks and the counter being brute strength is literally something that comes into play when Best Jeanist binds Gigantomachia with those steel cables during the Jakku arc. Holy shit, I don’t think Hori intended it, but what a callback. Or it’s just good worldbuilding, which would also be neat!)
Ochako eventually cuts into Izuku’s muttering - startling him in the process - by commenting on how his match just ended, but he’s already thinking ahead strategy-wise. Izuku denies it, saying that it’s just a hobby of his, and that they finally have a chance to see the quirks of people outside their class in action. He then eagerly shows her his open notebook, stating that he has everything she’d need to know about class A in there - even her ‘zero gravity’.
Me, staring down the people who have the class unaware of the contents of Izuku’s notebooks when writing suspected traitor fics:
Tumblr media
Anyways! Ochako is kind of impressed despite herself, stating that she thought Izuku was amazing from the day they met, but this sports festival has brought him to a whole other level. Izuku is confused by the complement, but there’s no time to ask, since Present Mic is announcing the participants of the next battle: Tenya versus Hatsume.
Some of the students are chattering about how the match is going to go, with one asking what is that - which seems to be referring to the support items Tenya is wearing? Midnight comments on it as well, noting that they’re forbidden for hero course students, and that a special request has to be put in for those things beforehand. Tenya admits he forgot, seeing as Aoyama was wearing that belt of his. Midnight reminds him that Aoyama applied for an exception.
Tenya apologies, stating that he’d been touched by Hatsuma’s sense of sportsmanship. Although she’s a member of the support course, she came to him and said that if they’re to be seen as equals, then they should fight on equal footing. She gave those items to him; her earnest spirit… he could never look down on it. That was his thinking.
Midnight apparently is now all for this, calling Tenya naive. Mic says that it’s good enough for him, and Aizawa says that if both parties are fine with it, he supposes it can be allowed… right? Izuku, up in the stands, is looking concerned, wondering if Hatsume is really the type to offer that. Hatsume, of course, is chuckling as she flips down a microphone right as the match starts.
Mei immediately starts going into her spiel, commenting on Tenya’s speed - much to the confusion of both Mic and Tenya. She then points out how Tenya’s legs should feel lighter than usual, and that that’s what one can expect with her custom leg parts, which keep up with their user’s speed! However, dodging is no problem for her with her hydraulic attachment bars! Which she deploys just before Tenya reaches her, causing him to trip over one of the bars and flail.
Mei checks for where the support companies were seated, her quirk zeroing in on the faces she’s looking for - which, to her pleasure, are eating her words up.
Tumblr media
Tenya catches himself and spins on his heels, wondering what she’s going. Hatsume complements it, noting how her auto-balancer makes those sorts of tight movements possible. Meanwhile, up in the announcement booth, Mic and Aizawa are both so put out, with Aizawa facepalming and calling her a born saleswoman.
The game of tag, along with a completely play-by-play sales pitch, goes on for another ten minutes. Eventually, however, Hatsume steps over the line, sweating but proud of managing to get through everything she wants to show off. Midnight states that Tenya’s moving on to the second round, while Tenya is just in despair at the deception.
Tumblr media
Ah, the face of someone with zero shame. Hatsume gives a completely insincere apology for using Tenya, which Tenya replies to by stating his extreme dislike of her.
Izuku is also a bit dismayed as he notes that Tenya is just too serious, so it wasn’t hard for her to get him to play her game, and that at least she’s honest about her under-handed methods to get what she wants. Ochako herself is looking a bit down as she gets up, quietly noting to Izuku that she should get to the prep room. Izuku notes that she left her still-full drink behind, glancing back to her in concern as she walks away.
As other matches run in the background, we shift over to prep room two, which Tenya is just entering. Ochako, already waiting in there, tells him good which, which startles him out of his funk as he recognizes her. Of course, the first thing he notes is her furrowed brows, which Ochako admits is probably from her being a bit nervous, and how it’s probably showing on her face. Tenya remembers her match is against Katsuki, and Ochako admits that she’s really scared. But, seeing Tenya out there, she…
Well, before she can finish her thought, Izuku bursts into the room. Ochako is confused, since he should be out there watching the other matches. Tenya to the side asks about the story behind the support girl. Izuku ignores the latter, telling Ochako that another two matches are already over, and now Kirishima and some class 1b guy are duking it out. Mina managed to damage Aoyama’s belt, he panicked, and she knocked him out with an uppercut to the chin. Then Tokoyami won his match in a flash - he didn’t give Momo the time to use the objects she made… he’s one of the strongest guys here in a one-on-one. Ochako realizes this means her match is up soon, her heart pounding in her chest.
Tenya can’t imagine that Katsuki would give it his explosive all against a female opponent, but Izuku cuts in, staring very firmly that Katsuki will. Everyone is competing here with the dream of becoming number one. No one’s holding back - Katsuki least of all. However, Ochako’s already helped Izuku so much, so he thought he might return the favor…
Tumblr media
He really just stores his notebooks anywhere he can. What a legend. He offers the notebook, stating that Ochako needs a counter-strategy against Katsuki - one that uses her quirk. He came up with it on the fly, but it might work! Tenya is relief, stating how fortunate Ochako is. Ochako thanks Izuku, but says that it’s okay. Both Izuku and Tenya are startled by the reply.
Ochako states how amazing Izuku is, and how he does amazing stuff all the time. During the cavalry battle, she thought the easiest strategy woul be to team up with friends. But when she thinks about it, she was just putting her faith in Izuku. That’s why Tenya said ‘I challenge you’ and all that, which left her feeling a little embarrassed about herself.
She pushes herself to her feet, moving past them to get to her match as she says thanks, but no thanks. Everyone here is fighting for their futures, so doesn’t that make them all rivals? That’s why she’ll see him in the finals!
Tumblr media
Ochako, sweetie…
Kirishima and Tetsutetsu knock each other out at the same time. Present Mic comments on the mirror image quirk matchup, and how the winner is… neither! They have a tie, since both are down. Midnight clarifies that in the event of a tie, they’ll determine the winner after the two recover, probably with an arm wrestling match or the like. The crowds comment on how they’re equal in strength, and how that was great though. They kind of hotbloodedness would be a great morale boost, and how they’re desirable as sidekicks.
Shouto watches on as the final two contestants of the first round enter the arena. Tsuyu states her worries about the match, and Jirou addson how she doesn’t want to watch it. Izuku quietly hopes for Ochako to do her best.
And so the final match is announced: Ochako versus Katsuki.
Tumblr media
And with that, volume four is done! I’ll be getting up the character sheet first, and then digging into the bonus material. Hopefully y’all enjoy!

Long Night in the Valley Chapter 1
Behold, my attempt to rectify the appalling lack of into the mind fics in the BNHA fandom.  :P
AO3
FFN
.
“You shouldn’t be here.”
He stood on top of the stairs to the beach, looking down on them.  With the sun rising behind them, his pupils were pinpoints, his irises shockingly bright. He wore a thin windbreaker over a t-shirt that read ‘tracksuit’ and a pair of sweatpants with his signature red shoes.  His expression was strangely flat and blank.  He had never looked at them like that before.
“Deku?” said Ochako, uncertainly, taking a step forward, her hand half raised, as though she could reach him despite being so far away.
The commission instructor flung out an arm, stopping her.  He was staring up at the boy, too, his eyes blown wide, lips pulled back with something like worry, something like fear, and something like avarice.  “Whatever that is,” he said, “it isn’t Midoriya Izuku.”
.
Aizawa reviewed the program the commission had sent to him, ignoring the gentle bumping of the bus and the barely controlled chaos of the students around him.  It looked fairly straightforward, all things considered.  The requirement was new, and Aizawa felt it was illogical to test students like this, when they could simply have the material added to the course load, but, overall, he’d seen worse.
So why did this bother him so much?
He scanned the paperwork again.  He was going to be getting the same certification as his students, had arranged to be part of the same general ‘cohort’ even, because he didn’t trust them on their own.  At all. Ever.
But that shouldn’t be an issue.  Even when they did get split up, they’d be going in groups of five and—
Ah.  There it was. Groups of five, with any odd numbers being used to fill out other groups who were undergoing testing on the same day, most of whom were adult heroes, if he recalled correctly.
With the addition of Aizawa, there were twenty-one of them.
Calling on years of experience, Aizawa didn’t groan.  The thing was, Aizawa knew, even before arriving and having numbers and groups assigned, who the odd one out would be. There was only one student who could be so problematic without trying or indeed having any control over the variables that went into causing the problem.
Midoriya.
Aizawa almost suspected that Midoriya had some secret trouble-attracting quirk on top of the lightning-spitting bone-breaking insanity and the randomly appearing eldritch abomination tentacle things.  It would fit right in.
Sadly, Midoriya’s ability to find trouble didn’t seem to go away when Aizawa stared at him, so he had to acknowledge that the kid was just that unlucky.
If Aizawa let Midoriya go off to complete the course on his own, he would probably discover that, oh, pro hero Wash was laundering money from an overseas smuggling operation disguised as an environmental clean up charity.  Or, somehow, locate a villain, despite being at a secure hero commission building. Like he had during the provisional license exam.  Or break a bone.  Again. Or discover a previously unknown aspect of his quirk.  Again. Or get into a fight with Bakugo. Again.
No way.  Not if Aizawa had anything to say about it.
.
Izuku bounced in place, excited.  He was attending a professional development course given by the Hero Standards and Practices Commission.  It was like a dream come true!  Literally!  He dreamed about this!  Of course, he’d had the dream when he was seven, and he’d just learned about the HSPC and what it did, and All Might had been the course teacher, which he wasn’t going to be for this course, and which was also a little redundant, because All Might (Mr. Yagi, Toshinori, Eight) was already his teacher, and the reason behind this course, and making everyone with any kind of hero license take it, was a bit disturbing, and he’d had to opt out of some of the course features, because reasons, but, regardless—
“Midoriya,” said Jiro, tapping on his shoulder, “they’re calling for you.”
“Oh!  Thanks!” said Izuku, nodding vigorously, and, man, he really had to cut his hair soon. It was getting long enough to fall in his eyes when he did that, and that would be distracting in the field. Good thing it wouldn’t matter for today!
They weren’t going to be doing anything physical, after all.
He walked up to the table, showed the person with the clip board his provisional license (he could still hardly believe he had it!  It was so cool!) and received a card with a number on it.
“Pin that to your shirt,” said the man, hardly looking at him.
At least, the man was trying to look like he was hardly looking at him.  Maybe he recognized him from the sports festival and didn’t want to make things awkward?  But it had been a while since the sports festival.  They tended to drain from common memory pretty quickly, and—
Oh, no, he’d been holding up the line.
He sketched a quick bow and ran over to where the rest of his classmates and teacher were waiting.
“So,” said Aizawa, looking as exhausted as ever. There was a spark of something in the man’s eye, though.  Vigilance. Had he noticed something amiss? Should Izuku be on alert as well? “We have consecutive numbers, so most of us should be together in the same groups.  Problem child.”
Izuku jumped to attention.  “Yes, sir?”
… It was kind of sad that he answered to the name ‘problem child,’ wasn’t it?
(Was it sadder that he almost liked the nickname? It was nicer than what some of his other teachers had called him.  It didn’t have the same bite.)
“Trade numbers with Yaoyorozu.”
Izuku blinked and looked at Yaoyorozu in surprise.  “Um,” he said.  “Okay?”  He unpinned his card and held it out to his classmate.
Yaoyorozu took it carefully, frowning at the number.  “Why are we doing this, sensei?” she asked.
“Because knowing his luck, Midoriya is going to be the odd one out, and you’re the only one I trust not to kill someone or get kidnapped if you’re left on your own.”
Okay.  Harsh. But fair.
“What about Iida?” asked Kaminari.
“I know what I said.”
Harsher—Wait.  Aizawa knew about that?  Since when?!
“Didn’t she go off that one time, though?  At Kamino?”
Aizawa turned to stare at Mina, who held her hands up. “Forget I said anything, sensei!”
“No, no, you’re right.  Hagakure, you take Midoriya’s number.”
“Eh, me?” asked the invisible girl.
“Yes,” said Aizawa.
“Er, are you sure?  I don’t know if I could survive a Midoriya-level calamity!”
Izuku felt his jaw drop a little.  Was that what they were calling it now?  Rude.
“The calamity won’t happen if he isn’t there,” reasoned Aizawa.
Which.  Okay.  True.  But also, rude.
Izuku wasn’t that bad, was he?
Izuku took Hagakure’s card.  The number put him between Uraraka and Aizawa, so he’d probably be with at least one of them.  On reflection, Yaoyorozu’s number had put him on the other side of Aizawa.  Which probably wasn’t a coincidence.
The rest of the class got through registration shortly thereafter, with several of his classmates trying to trade their own numbers, only for Iida to scold them.  Which was typical, really.  It was almost calming, and Izuku needed calm after… that.
Was his luck really that bad?
Now he was much more nervous than before.  Except, before he’d been excited, and, now, he was really—
Not.
He fiddled with the sleeve of his uniform, trying not to pick at his scars or cross the line into overtly fidgeting and being distracting.  He wished he’d brought one of his grip strength training tools.  At least with those he could pretend their only purpose was working out, unlike his other fidget toys.
Oh, gosh, was that pro hero Rosemary, the memory hero? And Strato!  The high altitude hero!
Wow, he’d been so worried he almost hadn’t noticed how many amazing heroes were here!  There were even some he didn’t know!
And then they were being called up, number by number.
Hagakure, true to Aizawa’s prediction, was placed with a group of confused-looking strangers, including Rosemary.  Izuku was almost jealous.  He’d love to learn how her quirk worked.
Actually…  All of the people in that group were heroes with mental quirks.  How interesting!  Izuku would have to ask Hagakure if they gave her any tips.  He was sure they’d have different insights than the other people in their class, especially considering the subject matter of the course.
The subject matter being combating mental attacks.
That’s why Izuku had to opt out of being a ‘subject’ for the course.  He didn’t entirely understand it, not yet, but One for All definitely had a mental aspect, and he didn’t know how or if that would show up in a simulated attack like the ones they’d be demonstrating.  It was better to play it safe.  His quirk was already weird enough as it was.  He still wasn’t sure how he’d manage to talk Aizawa and his classmates out of being suspicious after blackwhip came out.  Most of that day was a blur.
Izuku suspected that things would not have been smoothed over nearly so easily if Nezu hadn’t known about One for All.
He also wasn’t looking forward to the reaction when the other user’s quirks started coming out – Even if being able to use them was going to be really cool.
Anyway, his own group had resolved itself to consist of Aizawa, Uraraka, Iida, and Todoroki.  He was relieved.  Todoroki looked relieved, too.  That made sense.  With what Todoroki had told Izuku about his history, he wouldn’t want to be doing this with people he didn’t know, either.
But Todoroki would have opted out, anyway, right?  Or did Endeavor not let him?  Honestly, that would be par for the course for Endeavor. Todoroki said he was getting better, but…  Izuku had doubts.  He liked to think that people could always be saved, even from themselves, that most villains could be reformed, even if the government didn’t think so, that people like Endeavor and Kacchan could see the error of their ways. But.
But even though Kacchan was better than he was before didn’t mean that he didn’t still do things that Izuku… didn’t like.
And he couldn’t imagine that Endeavor was changing faster than Kacchan.
“Who will they have us do first, do you think?” asked Uraraka. “I mean, I know they’re going to go through all of us, but all of this is making me so nervous.  I have a lot of embarrassing memories, I mean, I’m sure everyone does, but, ugh, that didn’t come out right…”
“Well!” said Iida, energetically.  “If they let us volunteer, I shall go first!”
“What?” said Izuku, surprised.  “You didn’t opt out?”
“Opt out?” asked Uraraka.  “That was an option?”
“I mean, yes?” said Izuku.  “I mean, I had to file a bunch of paperwork and get Mom, All Might, and Principal Nezu to sign off on it, but, I mean, it’s an option for people who know secrets that shouldn’t be exposed.”  Like Iida.  What was he thinking?
“I… did not know that was an option,” said Iida, who had evidently now realized he was in deep, deep trouble.
Izuku resolved to protect his friend’s secrets as best as he was able, even if it meant he didn’t get a good score in the training.
“I didn’t think there was an opt-out option, either,” said Todoroki, frowning.  He reached towards his face but tugged on his hair instead of touching his scar.
Okay.  So.  “Am I- Am I the only one that asked?  L-like, it wasn’t easy, I had to get a bunch of signatures, but it was doable, I…”  He shrugged, helplessly.
“I wasn’t informed there was an opt-out,” said Aizawa, grumpily and a little… suspiciously?
Izuku cringed.  He did not need his teacher to be suspicious of him.  He did not need people looking into his life.  Into his past.  Into his quirk.
Maybe, if they couldn’t keep Iida’s and Todoroki’s secrets quiet, he could play his reluctance off as pertaining to those.  Even if the idea made him feel incredibly guilty and unworthy of his friends.
He would just have to do his best to help them.
Before any more conversations could be had, their group was called into one of the rooms.  A set of six cheap futons laid on the floor.  Monitoring equipment lined one of the walls.  Two commission personnel, a man and a woman, were waiting for them.
When the woman saw Izuku, she frowned and pulled her phone out of her pocket.  What was that about.
“Hi,” said the man, who had a rather hooked nose and very bright, almost glowing, yellow eyes.  “I’m Ito Kenzo, and I’ll be your instructor for today.  You can call me Ito-san.  This is Saito Yume, we’ll be using her quirk for today’s demonstration.”
The woman smiled brightly, putting away her phone quickly. “The way my quirk works is that I can put up to five people into a shared dream state modeled after a sixth person’s mind.  All six people lose consciousness when I use my quirk, and the perception of time in the dream state is usually altered, although by how much varies depending on the group.  The dream state persists until either I release it, the people involved break free, or eight hours pass.  However, I’ll be making the rounds once an hour to pull everyone out and let you move on to the next person in the group.”
“I’ll be joining the dream state with you, to help point out tactics,” said Ito.  “Although the person the dreamscape is modeled on won’t be completely aware of what’s going on, the goal is to familiarize you with what it feels like to have your minds invaded in a safe, secure environment.  Saito-san’s quirk is similar enough to that of several known villains to be a good example of what to expect.”  Ito paused.  “Any questions?”
Uraraka raised her hand.  “Who’s going first?” she asked.
“Ah, that would be—” He broke off as Saito tugged on his sleeve and showed him her phone.  The man did a double take, then paled, slightly.  He glanced at Izuku.  “Er,” he said, “you’re not supposed to be in this group.”
“Yes, I-I am,” said Izuku.  “This is- This is my number?  It matches?”
Ito glanced at Saito.  Then his phone rang.  “Oops,” he said, looking at his phone.  “It looks like I’m in the wrong group.  You kids are supposed to have Suzuki-san, I was, was requested by another group, so sorry! He’ll be here in a minute!”  Ito retreated through the back door at high speed.
Izuku swallowed.  Something was going on behind the scenes.  This wasn’t about the suspected traitor thing again, was it?  Izuku had thought, after the training camp, that it was pretty obvious it had to be a teacher…  And it couldn’t be Aizawa-sensei.  He’d almost been killed by the noumu.
(Also, he was the best teacher Izuku had ever had.)
A new, much taller man walked through the door.  “Hello,” he said.  “I am Suzuki Takami.  I am your instructor.  Apologies for the mix up.”
“No worries!” said Saito.  “Everyone, go ahead, lie down, get comfortable.  Midoriya-san, you’re first!”
“What?” said Izuku.  “But, I, um, I opted out?  I filled in the paperwork and everything.  I got a signature from Abe-san, and Kondo-san, and, and—” He fumbled to pull out his paperwork.  He’d kept copies, just in case.
Saito and Suzuki didn’t so much as look at it.
“This course doesn’t have an ‘opt-out,’” said Suzuki.
“Excuse me,” said Aizawa.  “He clearly has paperwork for an opt-out.  Maybe you were misinformed.  Like you were about the room.”
Suzuki shook his head.  “I don’t know who you talked to,” he said, “but they were either mistaken about what course you were referring to, or you misunderstood them.”
“But,” said Izuku.
“Midoriya,” said Aizawa, “if you want to sit this out, it’s fine.  I can go with you, so you won’t be alone.  No one’s going to make you subject yourself to a quirk you aren’t comfortable with.”
“He can do that,” said Suzuki, “but he’ll lose his provisional license.  He’d have to go through recertification entirely.  When’s the next licensing exam?”
“Hold up,” said Aizawa, “you’re doing this course two more times, aren’t you?  I know I was given multiple options for getting this certification.”
“Sure,” said Saito, “but it’s still going to be my quirk.” She wrapped a strand of her hair around her finger, stressed.
Izuku’s mind was racing.  He couldn’t lose his license.  He couldn’t lose his ability to help people.  He—What would All Might think?  He couldn’t—
“It-It’s-It’s fine, sen-sensei, I’m um.  It’s fine!  I’ll- I’d have to do this anyway, right? Mi-might as well get it over with, huh?”  He walked over to one of the futons, and set down his backpack, trying to hide his trembling hands.  “So, is-is there anything special or specific I have to do for your quirk to work?”
“Nope,” said Saito, cheerfully, “just lie down and close your eyes.  Come on, everyone lay down.”
Aizawa moved slowly, which was nothing short of shocking considering how eager he usually was to crawl into his sleeping bag.  He put the bag down on one of the futons.  “You’re sure there’s no way for Midoriya to opt out?”
“Positive.  We’re really sorry,” said Saito.
“Illogical,” grumbled Aizawa.  He got into his sleeping bag nonetheless.  “You sure about this, problem child?”
“I-I’m sure, sensei!  Plus ultra, right?”  He laid down, trying to get comfortable, but the panic rising in his veins really didn’t allow for that.  He could, distantly feel One for All (and all it contained) pressing up against the back of his mind with something like concern.  He swallowed.  Don’t think about it.
His classmates were, hesitantly, picking out their own spots. Iida looked like he wanted to say something.  Uraraka’s brow was furrowed, her lips pursed.  Todoroki was difficult to read, as always.
Suzuki was already lying down, staring at the ceiling.
Izuku closed his eyes.
“Alright!” said Saito.  “Here we go!”
.
Yume left the room with Midoriya Izuku in it, feeling just slightly dazed.  She paused for a moment in the back hallway.  She had dozens of other groups to set off, and she was running late after that little snafu.
Midoriya Izuku was supposed to be in a group with Suzuki-san and four other specially picked professional heroes.  Heroes who would get to the bottom of why and how he had multiple quirks, who would find out who he really was, who would figure out how he was in contact with the League of Villains and why they decided to pick some random quirkless nobody—
Assuming that’s what Midoriya Izuku really was.  The initial investigation had uncovered some discrepancies in his family records.
In any case, he was not supposed to be in a group with his little friends and overprotective teacher.
Oh, well.  Except for Midoriya, they were all clean.  If they were really heroes, they’d do what was right.
Yume pushed off the wall (when had she started leaning on it?) and stumbled.  Something bright and red caught on the periphery of her vision and she looked down.
Her nose was bleeding.
She licked her lips, tasting copper.  It shouldn’t be bleeding.  That only happened when she overused her quirk, when she tried to put too many people into one dreamscape or tried to combine two dreamscapes into one. She’d been pacing herself.  This shouldn’t be happening.  It shouldn’t be bleeding like this, like she had just put more than a dozen people under.
Suzuki Yume promptly passed out.
.
“Wow,” said Uraraka, looking around in delight.  She was still worried about Deku.  He’d looked really bad right before Saito-san activated her quirk, and she and Suzuki-san had been acting kind of shady, but—
But—
This place was beautiful, and she couldn’t help but be a little in awe.  She’d kind of expected dreamscapes to be more… Mushy, maybe?  Darker?  Her dreams usually weren’t very clear (except for the nightmares, and those didn’t count).
But Deku’s dreamscape was as bright as he was: a beautiful beach and a cerulean ocean at sunrise.  Or was it sunset?  Either way, the sun hovered above the ocean, its light gleaming off the waves.
“Wow,” said Todoroki, approaching the breakers on the beach.  He crouched, looking at the sand.  “It’s really…”  he poked the sand, “detailed.”
“As expected of Midoriya!” exclaimed Iida, waving his hands. “His attention to detail is unparalleled!”
“Hm,” said Aizawa.  “Too bright…” He put on his goggles.
“Excuse me,” said Suzuki.  “If I can have your attention, please.  I apologize for the deception, however—”
“You shouldn’t be here.”

My Light in a Dark Place – Seven (Tamaki Amajiki x OFC)
Tumblr media
MASTERLIST | MLDP MASTERLIST
A/N: I just gotta say that I finished a chapter the other day for this story that is way down the line... and y'all have no idea what you're in for. 😏 I had no idea what I was in for when I started writing it! I can't wait to edit it and make it better. But for now, enjoy Tamaki and Yuki being so cute. ^_^ Thanks for reading!
Chapter warnings: some language (Yuki's thoughts)
Words: 3.6k
Let me know if you would like to be tagged for future parts!
The day of Mirio and Nejire’s wedding arrives much faster than expected and Yuki is running on a few hours of sleep and caffeine. She spent the days before the rehearsal dinner finishing up the bouquets and a few other decorations as soon as the daisies arrived – thanks to Nejire’s call. And because of Yuki’s short deadline, she didn’t get to see her friends much at all. It put a damper on each day for her, so she spent a few hours talking to Kirishima, and sometimes Mina, on the phone each night.
While the wedding party and family were enjoying dinner, Yuki set up the flowers in the church that didn’t need to stay in the refrigerator overnight, making her job the following morning easier to manage. Before she left, she placed all of the real flowers in the church fridge to keep them looking fresh up to the wedding. She slept hard that night, finally able to rest.
As soon as the sun comes up on Saturday, Yuki is up, dressed, and out the door. She’s the first one at the church, so a janitor lets her in. The wedding planner arrives soon after with a few suggestions and changes Yuki remedies.
“Yuki!”
The florist turns around to see Ochako grinning at her from beside Nejire. “Hey!”
“I didn’t realize you were doing the flowers! I should have known because they look incredible!”
“Thanks. I just took an idea and made it real is all.”
Nejire touches Yuki’s shoulder. “You did an amazing job, Yuki. I can’t wait to see the photos with all your adorable daisies in them!”
Yuki blushes and mutters out a thank you.
“Do you know if the boys are here yet?” Nejire asks.
“I haven’t seen them. I’d recommend getting to your dressing room in case they show up though.”
“Right.”
Ochako smiles at the bride. “I’ll meet you there in a second, okay?”
“See you soon!”
The two watch Nejire shuffle toward the ladies’ dressing room before Ochako nudges the florist.
“So, you’re not completely heartbroken about Mirio getting married?”
“You  know  I haven’t had a crush on Mirio in a long time, right? Of course, I’m not heartbroken. I want Mirio and Nejire to be together. They’re perfect for each other.”
“I really appreciate that, Yuki!”
Both girls scream as they turn to see Mirio’s face sticking out of the wall.
“Mirio!” Yuki frowns. “You better not be using your Quirk to spy on Nejire! You can’t see her until she walks down the aisle, or she’ll be really upset with you.”
“I know! I just heard you two talking and wanted to see what’s up. So… what’s up?”
“ You  need to get to your dressing room to get changed, Mirio,” Ochako says. “And don’t walk through the wall!”
“Please. Save it for your night with Nejire, yeah?”
Mirio’s skin flushes for the first time since Yuki’s met him. “Oh… right.”
Ochako changes the subject. “Is Tamaki here, too?”
Yuki feels the pressure of her Quirk trying to activate and she pushes it away.
“Yeah. He’s behind me in case I lose my pants or something.”
“Poor guy,” Yuki says. “Well, you two get to your room, okay? There’s not much time before you say, ‘I do’ to the love of your life.”
“I can’t wait!” And his head disappears.
“What a goofball,” the levitation hero says. “Nejire loves him a lot.”
“And he loves her just as much. They’re adorable.”
“They are. Hey, do you want to come hang out with us for a little bit? I don’t know what you need to do, but Nejire said you were sticking around for the wedding.”
“I can hang out for a little bit. I have to be available if the planner needs me to alter my flowers at all since I’m sticking around. She doesn’t want to ruin anything I’ve made, so she's asked me to handle any floral inquiries.”
“You’re so sweet.”
Yuki shrugs with a soft blush.
“Well, let’s go help Nejire get ready.”
When the two women make it to the ladies’ dressing room, Nejire is in a satin robe getting her hair and makeup done. She smiles at them before closing her eyes for the makeup artist.
“How does everything look out there, Yuki?” she asks.
“Nothing to report yet. Oh, the boys are here now. Mirio scared us half to death though.”
She giggles.
Ochako goes behind a curtain with a dress bag labeled for her. “I’m gonna get dressed while you get your makeup done, Nejire.”
“Okay!” She opens her eyes to look at Yuki before the artist goes back to completing her eye look. “Thank you for sticking around for the wedding. I’m excited to have another friend in the crowd supporting us.”
“Of course! I’m happy to support a couple I’ve shipped together since, well, since forever.”
“And you’re really not upset that Mirio is going to be unavailable for good?” Nejire teases.
Yuki rolls her eyes. “Nope! He’s all yours, not that I would have  any  say in that.”
Nejire opens one eye. “I heard that you and Tama had dinner together a few nights ago.”
“What?!” Ochako peeks her head out. “You and Amajiki went on a date?!”
“It wasn’t a date.”
“I don’t know,” Nejire sings. “Tamaki seemed  really  cheerful the day after.”
“Do you like Amajiki then?” Ochako asks.
What do I say? I can’t just tell them I think I do, or they’ll try to set us up tonight!  “I enjoy his company. That doesn’t necessarily mean I like him romantically.”
“A couple of weeks ago, Tamaki stayed with her because Kirishima was out of town and couldn’t help her out when her Quirk took out all her energy.”
“The whole needing care and affection thing. Right. Wait… did Amajiki help you with that? The most timid and awkward hero we know helped you regain your energy? He  cuddled  with you?!”
“It’s not  that  big of a deal, guys. I would have been perfectly okay had Eri not pushed Tamaki to stay with me. Kirishima even came home earlier than planned, so I would’ve been back on my feet just as fast.”
“Seemed like a big deal to Tama. I haven’t looked in a while, but I’m pretty sure his phone background is that picture of you two sleeping on the couch together.”
Yuki blushes.  Wha-? Really?
“There’s a picture?!” Ochako shuffles over while pulling the straps of her dress over her shoulders. “I want to see!”
“It’s on Tamaki’s phone, so you’l have to ask him… unless you have the same picture, Yuki.”
Her silence tells them all they needed to know.
“Lemme see how cute you two are, Yuki! Please?”
“Ugh, fine!” The florist nearly drops her phone as she pulls it from her dress pocket. She quickly opens up her photo app and finds the image near the top, clicking it open. She turns her phone toward Ochako.
The woman squeals. “ That’s so cute!  I can’t believe I didn’t know about this at all! Amajiki has never looked so  calm  before.”
“I know, right?” Nejire says. Suddenly, her phone goes off and she checks it. “Oh, the men are apparently having a hard time with their boutonnieres and can’t find help. Think you can hop over there to give them a hand, Yuki?”
“If it gets me away from this talk about my love life, yes. See you soon.”
All the women in the room chuckle as Yuki leaves to assist the men, more than eager to avoid talking about her and Tamaki.  People are relentless, huh? Also, where is the planner? Not that I mind helping my friends, but I thought her job was to handle this stuff…
It makes a little more sense when Yuki passes her in the hall where the boys’ room is and she’s holding a bloodied tissue up to her nose.
“Are you okay?” Yuki asks, noting the redness all over the woman’s face.
“Yup! Fine!”
“Are you sure?”
“Mmhmm! Nejire is just a lucky woman.”
Yuki is beyond confused as the planner rushes to the nearest bathroom.  What the heck is wrong with her? Oh, well…
The florist knocks on the door and receives a chipper welcome from Mirio, so she steps in… and immediately covers her eyes.
Oh... Got it. I forgot how good he looks... and Tamaki... Good, Lord.  “When I was told you needed help with the boutonnieres, I was expecting both of you to be… well, dressed.”
She does her best to shake out the image of Mirio in just his boxers. Unfortunately, it’s replaced with the image of Tamaki mostly dressed with his button-up open and showing off his surprisingly lean and muscular torso. Yuki tries to ignore the sight burned into her brain for the sake of her sanity.  He has a happy trail... Oh, my God. Fucking hell, dude. No need to get a nosebleed like her… Get yourself together, woman!
“Sorry, Yuki!” Mirio says. “It’s nice to see you!”
She doesn’t see Tamaki rush to button up his shirt while stuttering out an apology.
“It’s fine. Don’t worry about it. It was just a surprise. But I can’t help with boutonnieres if you don’t have your jackets on. I’ll step out so you can finish getting dressed and  then  I’ll help you guys. Okay?”
“Thanks, Yuki!”
Yuki turns before uncovering her eyes and leaving the room. She’s embarrassed to find herself leaning against the wall with her hands cupping her warm cheeks.  Why am I even blushing? I see Kirishima all the time without a shirt. I don’t have a crush on Mirio at all and I hardly saw much of Tamaki.  The image flashes in her mind again.  Stop it, brain! I don’t care if that man looks downright hot. Tamaki is my friend, and I shouldn’t be thinking about him like that! But he looks so...  She actually sighs.
“Yuki! I think we need help.” Mirio’s laugh makes her smile.
She shakes the image out of her head. “I’m only coming in if both of you are wearing pants and shirts.”
“We are!”
She pokes her head in, giggling at the sight. “How old are you two?”
Neither have their shirts tucked in and Mirio’s collar is sticking up. Tamaki has a button matched to the wrong hole from rushing and his bowtie is barely tied.
Mirio chuckles and scratches the back of his head. “I’m a little nervous.”
Fixing his collar, Yuki smiles at him. “Don’t be. At the end of the day, you’ll be married and  that’s  the most important thing.” She points at his shirt. “Tuck that in properly. Nejire loves you, but she won’t be happy if you’re standing at the altar with your shirt untucked.”
While Mirio fixes himself up, Yuki undoes Tamaki’s bowtie to fix it. He shifts his gaze away from Yuki, peeking back at her when he realizes the pretty pink blush across her nose and the apples of her cheeks.
“You missed a button on your shirt, by the way,” she says, putting a lot of focus into the movements of her fingers.  Don't look down.
He looks down. “Oh. S-Sorry.”
“Don’t apologize. It’s fine.”  Don’t picture it again. Don’t do it, Yuki. I don't care if he got you riled up. Behave.  She straightens out the bow and brings his collar down to cover the neck strap. “There. Once you fix the buttons, tuck your shirt in, too, okay? I’m gonna help Mirio with his boutonniere and then come back to help you.”
Tamaki nods and fumbles a bit with the button he messed up. Yuki turns away before she can burn another image of her friend in her mind.  Have a little self-control.
Much to her relief, Yuki only stabs her fingertips a couple of times while pinning the boutonniere to Mirio’s jacket. The last stab brings a little blood, but she quickly sticks her finger in her mouth to stop it.
“Are you okay?”
She nods. “Just some blood. This happens all the time. I’m just happy to see you ready to get married.”
The hero hoots and lets a blush cover his cheeks. “I’m a lucky guy.”
“Yes, you are.”
Now it’s Tamaki’s turn and Yuki feels the nerves creeping up again.  Relax. You’re helping him out as a friend. No need to make it weird even if you're feeling a bit… amorous.  She’s more cautious this time to prevent another poke to her poor fingers and only manages two quick ones. All while not stabbing Tamaki. She straightens out his jacket. “There. Both of you are set for the wedding. Now I have to do a quick check on the decorations and get the bouquets ready. Be careful with those boutonnieres, too.”
“We will be! Thank you, Yuki,” Mirio says.
Tamaki nods before looking down. “Thanks.”
“You're very welcome. I’ll see you guys in the chapel.” And Yuki’s gone, off to her next task before the wedding is to begin.
Yuki cries for most of the wedding whether from the sweetness of the couple or from laughing too hard each time Mirio’s Quirk activates from nerves. And Nejire is there each time to settle him down and keep his clothes on his body. It’s cute and continues into the reception. Nejire and Mirio dance together, alone on the floor, foreheads touching, and eyes closed. Yuki swoons against Kirishima’s side.
“Are you all right?” he asks, wrapping an arm around her to keep her upright. Kirishima has the red locks of his hair neatly brushed back, really letting the undercut shine.
“ They are so cute.  I’m so happy for them.”
“You’re such a hopeless romantic, Yuki. Oh, looks like the floor’s opened up for everyone else. Wanna dance?”
“Sounds like fun.”
Kirishima takes her hand and tugs her onto the dance floor as a mid-tempo song starts up. The two friends goof off, Kirishima twirling her around as they both laugh. Yuki’s skin glows mildly under the tungsten lights. The light she gives off almost melts away when a slow song starts, Kirishima pulling her close. That's when she notices Tamaki trembling off to the side as if he’s looking to ask someone to dance and can’t find the courage. Yuki frowns.
Kirishima notices and follows her gaze to Tamaki. “Go dance with him. Nejire asked you to, right?”
“Yeah, but should I interrupt our dance?”
“I don't mind. You obviously want to invite him to dance  and  you’ve stopped glowing because of it. Tamaki will appreciate it, too. There’ll be plenty of chances for us to dance tonight.”
She glances at Tamaki. “Okay. Thank you, Kiri.”
“Yup!” And the hero lightly shoves Yuki toward Tamaki.
Tamaki meets her gaze when she gets close and his face turns a couple of shades of red. He turns away.
Yuki stands beside him, shoulder brushing against his arm while they watch others dance. “So… do you wanna dance with me, Tamaki? It looks like you’re trying to get the nerve to ask someone. I’d be happy to be that person if you’re interested.”
“But you… you asked me.”
“Forget that I did. Now you can ask me.” Yuki smiles up at him. “Go on. I promise I won’t turn you down.”  I could never…
A timid smile. “U-Um… Would you like… like to d-dance with me, Yuki?”
“I’d love to, Tamaki. We can dance as long as you’d like, too.”
“What if I’m no good?”
“That doesn’t matter to me. I’m not much of a dancer myself, but I have fun anyway.”
“You danced well with Eijiro.”
“Nah.” Her glow starts to come back. “Kiri and I are used to each other. You and I might look a little goofy and awkward at first, but we’ll find our groove and look like naturals.” A fast-paced song starts and Yuki bounces on her toes while pulling Tamaki toward the dance floor. “Until then, we’ll be silly. Don’t be afraid to let go and enjoy yourself. I’ll be right here with you.”
With his slow nod, Yuki pulls him a little farther onto the dance floor before letting go and “dancing” along with the music. It’s more jumping up and down with a little headbanging to match the rock song echoing in the banquet hall. It brings a laugh from Tamaki who starts to bob his head to the beat. Yuki has to concentrate hard to keep from blinding everyone in the room at the sound of his laugh.
For a few songs, the two dance in their strange way around each other as if they’ve always been that goofy together. But the moment another slower song starts, the two feel the weight of awkwardness hover over them.
“Do–Do you want to… to keep dancing?”
Yuki notes Tamaki’s slouched posture and his gaze refusing to meet hers. “It’s up to you. I’m okay to keep dancing with you.”  Please dance with me longer. I’ve missed being around you…
“We can try?”
“We can. Yeah.” Yuki places her hands on his shoulders. “Is this okay?”
“Shouldn’t… Shouldn’t I ask you that?”
“Well… you’re not moving, so… Here.” Yuki takes his hands and places them on her waist before putting hers back on him. “Yes, this is okay because I put your hands there. Relax. Sway with the music because I can’t dance like the newlyweds over there.”
Both of them glance at Mirio and Nejire waltzing around like they’ve been dancing together for years.
Tamaki nods, turning his head back toward Yuki, and realizing how close they are. He looks away again.
You adorable shy man.  Yuki grins and slips her arms around his middle to hug him while they sway.
He tenses a bit.
“I’ve missed being close to you,” Yuki admits. “I haven’t seen you much because of all this wedding business.”
“B-But Eijiro…”
“He’s great, but you bring a different kind of comfort. It’s hard to explain.” She tightens her arms and lets her head fall on his shoulder. “I like your company, Tamaki. You’re fun to be around.”
“I’m so… awkward… a-and not like him.”
“And that’s okay. You’re quiet and the actions you do speak a thousand times louder than words. That means a lot to me when my Quirk is overused because actions make me feel better. Kiri’s learned how to manage that with a lot of time and practice. You… You knew what I needed and acted even if it made you uncomfortable. I like that about you.”
The music shifts into something a little speedier, but the two don’t move with it.
“Don’t sell yourself short. We haven’t been friends for as long as me and Eijiro, but you’re just as special to me as he is.” Yuki stands up and takes one of his hands in hers. “Do you want to keep dancing, or would you like to go sit down? Or you can do your own thing if you want.”
Tamaki thinks on it, his eyes falling on her a couple of times. “Do you… want to h-hang out with me? W-Where it’s quieter?”
Yes!  “I’d love to, Tamaki.”
Once more, the man is tugged behind Yuki as she searches for a quieter place. Lucky for them, she finds a lone bench in a tiny courtyard outside. She goes to step toward the bench but is stopped by Tamaki’s grip.
The look on his face is pure determination. “You can… You can call me T-Tama… if you want.”
Yuki has to try with everything she has to keep her skin from lighting up like the sun, but unfortunately lets out a quick burst of light as she repeats the shortened name softly.
“What just… Did your skin  flash ?”
“Oh, uh, yeah? I wasn’t expecting you to say that and it made me really happy. I tried to stop it. How embarrassing…” Yuki sits on the bench with her arms wrapped around her middle. “That might be a problem later…”
“Are you going to be okay?”
“Yeah. Flashes take a lot of energy and although Aizawa’s training has helped, I’m going to crash sooner than usual tonight. I might have to head out before the bride and groom.”
Tamaki sits next to her, looking at his hands in his lap. “Can I… help?”
Yuki looks at him, her heart warmed by his question. “Only if you’re okay with it. The moonlight will help a little bit.”
“I-I’ll be fine.”
That’s her invitation to turn her back to him and scoot back against his side, using his shoulder to lean against after wrapping his arm around her body. Yuki automatically feels happier, closing her eyes to soak in the affection and moonlight. A little smile appears on her face when Tamaki rests his head against the back of hers.
The air is warm – a little sticky from humidity – and the sky is clear. That familiar summer smell of heated earth and sunflowers is heavy but doesn’t distract from the woody smell of whatever cologne Tamaki chose to wear that day.
Yuki settles her cheek a little more onto his shoulder, happy that the weight of his head comes back once she stops moving. “You’re really okay with me calling you Tama?”
“Y-Y-Yeah.”
“Even in public or around our friends?”
He makes a sound of approval; afraid he won’t get a firm response from his mouth.
“I’m happy you consider me a close enough friend to let me call you that. I don’t have an easy nickname other than Yu-Yu, but you can call me that if you want. Or any name you think fits.”
“O-Okay.” What she doesn’t know is how many names Tamaki has for her, brewing in his mind constantly, that he isn’t brave enough to say.
“You make me really happy,  Tama .”
Tamaki’s indigo eyes shift off to the side while his whole face blooms red. “You… You make me happy, t-too.”

Undeniable Flame
Undeniable Flame by the black rose
Written for the TodoMomo Mini-bang! With art by the amazing Tomo-bon!
Our favorite Class 1A students, as 3rd years, are putting on the romantic event of their HS lives! Everyone is pairing up, but Momo's been so busy planning the event, she hasn't been able to do more than, well, pine for a date. In the lead up to the dance: Recovery Girl's working overtime; Hatsume breaks Momo's brain with TMI; Mina will try to get back at her Unbreakable "friend with benefits"; Bakugou's burning Deku's notebooks. Again.
“It's a different type of dance this time?” Shouto met her gaze. “Not like the concert, right?” “Oh! No, you invite someone to go with you. Instead of everyone dancing in a big group, you'd dance with your partner.” "I don't know how to dance like that - with a partner.” “I mostly took ballet. As a child, my parents did make me learn the waltz. Something like that's too formal for a school dance.” Momo shook her head. “Ah, but! Dancing is, well, many types of dancing are beautiful. It can also be romantic and-and lovely! I'm just, well, I'm kinda in the same boat you are.”

CHAPTER 11:
"Shhh, don't talk too loud! You'll wake him!"
"But we're almost there"
"Yeah but look at him! He looks so peaceful!"
"And pretty.."
"What?"
"What? I didn't say anything. "
"Hagakure-san, your bisexual is showing"
"Kyaaah!!!! I didn't say anything!"
Bakugou slowly blinked his eyes open and saw Ochako and Mina smirking at a flustered Hagakure who was flailing her arms around. Mina noticed he was awake and immediately looked his way with a smile. "Bakubabe! We're one stop away from the mall so wakey wakey~" she sing songed and Bakugou slapped the hand that was patting his head away.
"Uraraka-kun! Hagakure-kun! Ashido-kun! Get back in your seats this instant! Standing in a moving vehicle is completely unsafe and against the rules" Iida yelled back at the three and they laughed, doing as told with a 'yes class pres'.
Letting out a yawn, Bakugou sat upright from laying on Koda’s shoulder and stretched out his back. He was going to rub the sleep from his eyes but remembered he had makeup on and puffed his cheeks in annoyance at the inconvenience, crossing his arms with a frown. From beside Iida (who was chopping the air while lecturing the girls about safety protocols) Izuku couldn't hide his smile at how cute grumpy Kacchan was but then again neither could half the class.
Todoroki heard a quiet laugh from behind him and turned to see Satou there. "That Midoriya sure can't hide how bad he's got it, can he?" the other chuckled, speaking to Ojirou, and Todoroki's head tilted in confusion.
"How bad he's got what?" he asked.
"Hmm? Oh. I was just referring to the crush he has on Bakugou" he explained and Ojirou nodded along with an amused smile.
"Midoriya has a crush on Bakugou?" Todoroki frowned slightly.
"You didn't know? It's so obvious. Well, obvious to everyone except Bakugou that is" Sato laughed and Todoroki turned back around signaling the end of the conversation. Satou didn't seem to mind though since he went right back to speaking with Ojirou, this time about training. To be fair, Bakugou seemed oblivious to the fact he had practically nineteen pairs of eyeballs glancing at him from time to time even now. The bus came to a slow stop and everyone began to gather their stuff.
"We're here! Everyone stick with a moving buddy or group, no wandering off on your own" Iida announced and ushered everyone off the bus and towards the mall entrance. As hard as it was to believe (or not), class 1-A's infamous luck for attracting trouble had followed them well into their third year at UA.
Bakugou and Kirishima made eye contact as they got off the bus but the latter quickly turned away to go catch up with Denki and Sero. Katsuki won't say that it didn't hurt but he hid it and just moved on, stuffing his hands into the pockets of his shorts and beginning to walk forward with the rest of his classmates. Whatever shitty hair's fucking problem was wasn't any of his business but if it continued, he'll definitely take matters into his own hands. Eijirou isn’t cutting him off without at least an explanation.
"So we'll all meet up here in three hours. Does that sound fair?" Momo asked the class once they were in the center of the mall near the water fountain and everyone agreed, splitting up into groups with their friends. "Afterwards we can all go to the food court together." The students began to disperse and head in different directions after that, merging with the rest of the people at the mall.
Izuku hung back a little from his own group, Iida and Todoroki, when he saw that Katsuki was alone since Kirishima had gone with his other friends. He approached him and tapped him on the shoulder to get his attention. "Um, Kacchan? Would you maybe like to—"
"Sorry Midoriya!" a pale pink arm was suddenly draping over the blonde's shoulders and pulling them into a borderline chokehold. "We're going to steal this cutie for a few hours. Baku-yum is coming with us to do some shopping" Mina butt in. The blonde just 'tsked' with an eye roll but didn’t disagree.
"Right" the boy smiled though his shoulders sagged a bit. He had hoped to get to hang out with Bakugou for a while to talk, maybe possibly even just the two of them alone, but he guessed he was too late for that.
"You can join us if you'd like, Midoriya-kun," Yaoyorozu quickly added and the rest made noise of agreement. Behind them stood the rest of the girl squad and Aoyama, all looking at the green haired boy who flushed at the attention, especially under the intense stare of a pair of red eyes.
"Oh, um. No, that's fine. I was just leaving anyway. See ya later" he shyly waved at them and they all waved back, saying their goodbyes (and “au revoir”) with the exception of Jirou who merely nodded his way in acknowledgement and Bakugou who ignored it completely.
Mina took Bakugou's hand in hers and started leading him away god knows where. "See you in three hours, Midoriya!" she looked over her shoulder back at him and gave him a thumbs up.
"Where are you extras taking me now?" Izuku heard Bakugou groan.
"The question is more like where /aren't/ we taking you. We have three hours to kill" she laughed.
"Why me?" he complained but didn't make any effort in pulling away. Gosh how class 3-A loved their tsundere.
Deku looked at them leave, watching how they bickered the whole way in endearment.
"You look nice today, Midoriya."
The male jumped, turning to find Todoroki standing there.
"Ah! T-Todoroki-kun! You scared me" he shrieked. " And oh. I um, thank you Todoroki-kun. You look nice as well" he replied a bit awkwardly. He was never good at accepting compliments.
"It's for Bakugou, right?" the half and half male stated. It wasn't a question and Izuku knew it.
"W-what?" he sputtered and turned very red, looking around for anyone that might have heard or was eavesdropping into the conversation. The mall was full of people but no one seemed to be paying attention to the two UA students though, too busy doing their own thing to notice. "W-why, why would you—?"
"Me too" Todoroki smiled a little before it went away, replaced by his usual blank expression. "I hope this doesn't put a strain in our friendship. You're a dear friend to me, Midoriya."
"I um…" he mumbled, baffled. He was at a loss for words. How could he respond to that? "He isn't a girl" was what he said instead. Maybe he was only attracted to Kacchan because of the quirk. Or at least that's what he hoped.
"I know he isn't. And tomorrow when he turns back I will continue to pursue him if he'll have me" Todoroki explained. "It took me a while to see it but I think I've had feelings for Bakugou for a while now. I was told that you do too and I thought it was the right thing to do to give you a fair warning that I will be going after Bakugou as well."
"...right."
Todoroki and Izuku remained in a silence where neither of them spoke and only stared at each other, Todoroki with an air of indifference where he appeared unfazed and Izuku where his eyebrows were pulled together and his lips were set in a thin line in thought.
"Todoroki-kun, Midoriya-kun, there you are. Did something happen?" Iida approached them. He had gone to the bathroom for a second only to come back to his friends in a type of staring contest.
"Ah? Oh, um, it's nothing. Todoroki-kun and I were just talking. Shall we go?" Izuku put on a forced smile and if Iida noticed it, he didn't say anything and just nodded. In a way, Izuku was a little relieved at the intervention and he quickly moved to the other side of Tenya, keeping his distance from Shoto for a bit. Truth be told, he still wasn't completely sure of what just happened. Sure he thought Kacchan was awesome and amazing and cool but he didn’t like him like /that/, did he? He didn't think so, but knowing that Todoroki did like him that way didn't sit right with him either.
...
"Don't both your parents work in the fashion industry, Bakugou?" Jirou asked, crossing her arms over her chest.
"Yeah they do. What about it, ears?" the blonde raised an eyebrow.
"No, nothing. Just wondering how the son of two fashionistas could have such bad taste" she smirked.
"Oi screw you!" he growled.
"Ladies, no fighting. Okay Bakubabe, I need your opinion since I can't decide. This top with these pants or this top with the skirt?" Mina asked, stepping out of the dressing room like it was her own personal catwalk and doing a twirl a few feet away from them, striking a pose.
"I don't know. Get what you want" he shrugged with a dismissive tone and Mina pouted, giving him a look that made Bakugou groan. Jirou gave him one too. "Ugh alright, fine! Whatever. Get the top with the skirt. The colors suit your skin tone better and they're much more versatile than bright fucking red jeans. The pants look cool or whatever but you have enough of those. Besides, with the skirt and top you'll be able to mix and match more outfits so you'll get more use out of them. Plus the skirt makes your natural curves stand out more and gives you a more feminine and mature look but depending on what you pair it up with you can switch the style."
Mina was just expecting a random opinion like Kiri, Denki, and Sero said when she forced them to come with her (which she'd then overthrow and choose what she wanted in the first place), not Bakugou to give a full blown analysis as to why. Was her heart racing a bit?
"Close your mouth, Mina. You'll catch flies” Jirou teased, her hand raising up to her mouth to hide her snicker.
So far, it's been two hours more or less. Mina had wanted to keep shopping so Jirou joined the pink skinned girl and they dragged Bakugou along with them while the other girls and Aoyama went to get a manicure done. Momo texted Jirou a few minutes ago that they were done though so they were just waiting on Mina so they could pay and leave to meet up with the rest of their group in front of the nail place.
"I- yes!" Mina blurted out and Jirou noticed the subtle red peeking through pink cheeks. She was blushing. "The skirt and shirt it is then" she decided, nodding in approval, and went back into the dressing room to change into her own clothing.
Bakugou just grumbled and settled back into his chair while the other girl giggled into the palm of her hand. ‘There goes another one’ she thought to herself.
"What are you laughing at, ears?" the other looked over at her accusingly.
"Oh, nothing. Don't mind me" Jirou shrugged with a smirk, her finger twirling her earlobe mindlessly.
Somewhere on the opposite side of the mall were Iida, Todoroki, and Izuku. Everything seemed to have gone back to normal as they all talked between themselves and Tokoyami's group; Shoji and Koda. Or more like everyone but Todoroki talked. The ice and fire quirk user was too busy looking up vital information for research purposes on his phone.
It all started a little less than an hour ago when they were in a store and through the window, he saw how a boy with shaggy brown hair gave a girl a bag with something in it and the girl gave him a hug and a kiss on the cheek in return. Todoroki hummed to himself a bit in wonder then turned to Iida. Izuku had gone to look at some hero figurines a few aisles down so it was just them in that particular section.
"Iida" Todoroki spoke and Tenya looked up from a nice tie he had his eye on and over to said boy instead.
"Yes? What is it, Todoroki-kun?" the male brought up a hand to fix his glasses instinctively but then remembered he wasn't wearing any. Force of habit.
"Why did that guy give that girl a gift? Is it her birthday?" he turned back to look out the window. The two of them were sitting quite close with their fingers intertwined and Iida refrained from telling Todoroki how it was impolite to stare.
"Um, it could be? But people tend to give the people they like gifts just because sometimes. To show they were thinking about them and that they care. There doesn't always have to be a special occasion" Iida explained.
"Oh" Todoroki nodded. He thinks he gets it now. Growing up the way he did, he never received presents just because. Only ever on his birthday or a holiday. He thought it was against the rules to give gifts just because but Iida said it was okay so it must be. “And if I give someone a gift, will they know I like them and like me back?" he asked.
"Well, maybe. But there's also the chance that they /won't/ like you back immediately or at all in some cases, however it's a good start" Iida patted the other on the back and Todoroki thanked him.
That's basically how Todoroki found himself where he was now. 'What to give to a boy that's been turned into a girl but only temporarily since he's still a boy as a gift to show you are interested' is what he typed into the search engine. "Gifts for Girls: 36 of the Best Gift Ideas for Girls to Let Them Know You Care" was what popped up as the first option and Todoroki thought it through before he clicked it anyway. It never hurts to check. 'A tumbler with a straw; she'll think of you with every sip with this cute decorative tumbler' it read. No. Next one. 'Lip duo; keep her lips moisturized with this cute lip balm and lip tint set!" Hmm… no. Next. 'Gold initial pendant necklace; These cute gold initial pendant necklaces are a perfect little gift. She will carry your initials with her always! (Bonus points if you get one for yourself with her initials too)'
While it does sound appealing to think about Katsuki wearing an 'S.T' or even just an 'S' pendant necklace around his neck, he doesn't think it's an appropriate first gift just yet. Maybe once they start dating he can get him one and even buy himself a matching ‘K.B’ one so they can match and be, quote unquote, ‘relationship goals’ like Mina says. That’d be nice. He’d like that. Shoto continued on to the next one.
'Jigsaw puzzle; This inspiring 500 piece jigsaw puzzle is a good activity to do together' he read. He'll think about it but he wants something better. Shoes was the next one but he doesn't really know Bakugou's shoe or clothing size so that's out. A candy making kit sounds fun but Bakugou doesn't really like sweet things.
After going through all 36, Todoroki still didn't have the perfect gift. If there was anyone who'd know what Bakugou likes better than anyone else, it'd be either Midoriya or Kirishima but he wanted to do this himself. He'll keep looking in the shops as they go. They have an hour left before going back so he'll find something. Todoroki was determined.
“Isn’t that Bakugou? Who's that he's with?” he heard someone say, and turned to Shoji. Following the direction in which he was looking, Todoroki discovered that it indeed was Bakugou and he felt himself go cold, hands clenching. This wasn’t good.

BNHA Chapter 242: The Christmas Chapter, 1 year later
Hey everyone! Since I wasn’t doing the MHA chapter reviews back in September (I really wish I had at the time, cause that arc was amazing) I never actually did a formal review of the Christmas Chapter. In honor of the day, I figured I’d go back and reread it, post my thoughts, and just generally have fun looking at Class 1-A having fun (because dammit it’s been a long time since Deku and co were actually happy.)
Let’ go!
Tumblr media
I’m sure that plan’ll go great. (Oh who am I kidding, the actual internships were awesome, it’s just the aftermath that sucked for all)
Tumblr media
But all our fandom theories! I cry, pointing at the thousands of pages of speculation.
NOW ONTO THE PARTY
Tumblr media
BEST PARTY EVER. My god they all look so happy and festive.
Tumblr media
BONES. My folks at Bones. You know me and filler, we’re not friends. But you guys do such good original MHA content in general. At the very least - an OVA, a filler ep, a movie, whatever - you must find a way to give us some of these ladies internships from this arc. I have to know how Jirou (and Shoji) get along with Gang Orca. Show us what Majestic is like. Give us some idea of Ryukyu’s agency.
Tumblr media
Mostly posting this cause  Deku is too goddamn cute to be allowed. Also, feels.
Tumblr media
1) Mina and Kaminari doing the good work this chapter. Lowkey MVPs. 2) Bakugou in that lower right hand panel=Really Really Pretty. Damn. Prettiest Kacchan since the Glamouroki incident.
Tumblr media
This foreshadowing didn’t really go anywhere. Though I still hold out hope that since Jeanist didn’t like the Current Hero Name either that he’ll change it to something more interesting in future. (Literally everyone but Shoto, Ochako, Toko, Tsu and Iida needs to change their hero names anyway.)
Tumblr media
Mina developing Nana/Ochako’s powers and floating in the air to get the coat on. Also, Shoto is only shown watching Kacchan this chapter, not Deku. The TDBK is strong with this one.
Tumblr media
See what I mean?
Tumblr media
Posting just for the Foodservice. Damn that’s a nice looking turkey.
Tumblr media
CuteService time. Merry Xmas Eri, you lil badass. You and Deku both are just too adorable for words.
Tumblr media
More festive imagery just because I need it. I wonder if they’ll bring back Jirou’s singing  voice for this scene in Season 5?
Tumblr media
So Jirou got Sero’s, Sero got Tsu’s, Mina must’ve gotten Kirishima’s (MY SHIPPER HEART) and is being really irresponsible with it, Kaminari got...I don’t know who would’ve given him a basketball but he seems sad about it. Iida got Momo’s I think? That rarepair getting some love. And Bakugou...glasses, maybe? Are they Iida’s?
Tumblr media
Eri easily got the best gift of all. I want future ProHero Eri fanart to include this sword.
Tumblr media
Deku looking adorably androgynous here, with the suit cinched in in the middle. Also DekuJirou is lowkey becoming my fave het ship for Deku (possibly for Kacchan too, actually) so seeing her offer him help brings a smile to my face.
Though of course WonderDuo’s true OT3 steps in quickly to reclaim his crown.
Tumblr media
1. More Androgynous dress-like Deku which is too cute. 2. Shoto wasn’t shown listening to Deku’s problems earlier but just offers him anyway, can’t forget that TDDK, 3. That direct look at Kacchan though.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Merry Christmas, Wonder Duo. Want a job?
Those three panel shots are really nice. It’s weird to think that before this arc, the concept of Todo, Kacchan and Deku as a trinity wasn’t really a thing. Like, there was the three separate  rivalries, but they were all their own separated things pretty much. You didn’t see all three of them together on their own, but now it’s so established the third movie’s gonna be about the trinity. There is something kind of amazing about the synergy of Class 1-A’s Big 3. They have trouble getting along, and yet they just fit together so neatly.
Anyway enough OT3 Gushing. Christmas time is here and this chapter is a blast. CANNOT WAIT FOR SEASON 5. GET YOURSELF WELL AND OVER WITH 2020.

My hero - What’s the meaning of this necklace?
Chapter 10
YOU CAN READ THE REST HERE
READY FOR SOME LOVE?!
.
.
.
“FROM ENTRANCE ONE WE HAVE KATSUKI BAKUGOU WHO WILL BAST HIS WAY TO THE TOP!” Midnight called out as Katsuki stepped into the arena with a weird face.
“Izu-chan, what did you do to Bakubro?” Kirishima asked behind Izuku as she took her seat next to Ochako.
“He has an idiot’s face.” Mina snorted next to Izuku and the whole class stopped doing whatever they were doing to look at Izuku.
Izuku raised her head from the arena and shrugged trying to hide her blush.“Encouraging words of battle.” She said raising her fists in the air before she felt two arms around her shoulders.
“Kiss good luck?” Mina teased her, she was about to say it was a joke when she noticed her friend bright red. “YOU DIDN’T!” She and Ochako beamed, Izuku covered their mouths making the others look at them.
“It was on his cheek.” Izuku said as she felt her hands being slapped her hand away by her friends.
“You do realize that there’s no turning back, right? In our tribe we do not take lightly these things.” Mina explained.
“I know.” Izuku groaned.
“FROM ENTRANCE TWO WE HAVE OUR FAVORITE COLD YET HOT PRINCE SHOTO TODOROKIIIIII!” Prince Mic shouted as the prince stepped in front of Katsuki and the weird face the blond was making transformed in pure rage.
“START!” Midnight screamed over the arena.
In a matter of seconds Todoroki sended a big wave of ice against Katsuki, half of the arena was covered in ice.
“KACCHAN!” Izuku widened her eyes and jumped over the edge of the stands worriedly because she couldn’t see him.
The ice got scattered with a loud bang because of a fiery blast from Katsuki, he jumped from the big hole he created and lunged at Todoroki with a death glare. “The stronger the magic...the more imprecise the impact!” Todoroki tried to touch him but he blasted himself away as he grabbed his opponent by his head and shoulder, he threw him over his shoulder with all his might. “ARE YOU UNDERESTIMATING ME?! IDIOT!”
When Todoroki almost landed out of the bounds he used a wall of ice and slid back towards Katsuki who blasted him again and Todoroki to let out some flames but died in an instant.
“AM I NOT STRONG ENOUGH TO MAKE YOU USE IT?! HOW DARE YOU LOSE YOUR WILL AFTER HURTING HER LIKE THAT! DO I HAVE TO SACRIFICE MY HAND TO MAKE YOU USE IT LIKE HERS!” Katsuki said darkly.
“Bakugou you…!” Todoroki flinched, finally realizing part of Bakgou’s reason for winning.
“BASTARD! DON’T YOU DARE TO LOOK DOWN ON ME! I WANT AN INDISPUTABLE FIRST PLACE! I’LL FUCKING KILL YOU!” Katsuki shouted at him, making Todoroki’s eyes widen in shock. “IF YOU HAVE NO INTENTION OF WINNING THEN DON’T STAND IN MY WAY!”
“Ever since I fought Midoriya I became unsure...If I was correct or not, I want to be a hero!” Todoroki’s thoughts rang as he looked at Katsuki running at him, he was about to give up when he heard familiar voices in the stands. “Sorry Bakugou…”
“COME ON! GIVE YOUR ALL!” Izuku screamed and the rest of the class got up as well.
Midoriya!
“FIGHT WITH EVERYTHING YOU HAVE! PLUS ULTRAAAAA!” The class cheered and the rest of the arena screamed loudly.
Todoroki’s flames came to life as he looked at his classmates. “So you stopped fucking around?!” Katsuki screamed as he lunged at him spinning in the air. “SCHNEIDER BOMB!” He shouted with his final new attack that looked like a tornado full of explosions.
Todoroki swung his arm filled with fire but at the last moment his flames went out and a loud rumble of ice was heard along with a loud explosion.
“What…?!” Katsuki’s voice was filled with confusion as he saw the unconscious body of Todoroki over the ice, he stood up and clutched the prince’s shirt while trembling in anger. “A win like this...I DON’T FUCKING WANT IT! OI!” He yelled but fell unconscious as well because of Midnight’s interference.
“BAKUGOU WIIINS!” Midnight raised her hand to the arena while Izuku looked confused at Todoroki.
What the hell happened? Why not use his fire side like with her? It made no sense to Izuku...
The class paled at the scene, knowing that the moment the blond wakes up there will be hell.
“He’s going to be so pissed.” Kirishima shook his head and clapped Izuku’s. “Well, I leave it to you Izu-chan!”
Izuku paled. “Oh no no no.” She looked around for help but the others gave her the thumbs up.
“Someone has to be sacrificed for the team.” The rest told at the same time.
Traitors.
“NOW, WE WILL AWARD THE MEDALS! THE PRESENTATION OF THE MEDALS WILL, OF COURSE, BE BY THIS MAN-” Midnight cheered to the crowd as a big muscular man lets out a booming and familiar laugh over the crowd, All Might jumped from his place while she talked.
“OUR VERY OWN HERO, ALL MIGHT!/ I HAVE BROUGHT THE MEDALS HERE!” The heroes said at the same time and an awkward silence was brought to the arena as the legendary hero landed beside her.
“I talked over you…” She whispered to him as he looked at her in embarrassment. “Now then, All Might, please present the medals starting with third place.” She handed him the three medals.
All Might laughed softly as he approached Tokoyami. “Young Tokoyami, congratulations.” The boy bowed his head so the hero could put the medal around his neck. “You sure are strong, but...However, in order to fight well against different types, you must not rely only on your magic.” He gave him a light hug. “If you train your own strength more, then you’ll have more options when you fight.”
“Yes, sir.” Tokoyami said softly, looking down at his medal.
All Might turned to the second podium. “Young Todoroki, congratulations.” The prince bowed down to receive his medal. “I’m sure there is a reason why you didn’t use your left side in the last battle?”
“I had an opportunity in my match with Midoriya...But then I became unsure of myself.” He stared at Izuku as she gave him a soft smile and then back at All Might. “I think I understand a little why you are interested in her... I wanted to become a hero like you, but I didn’t think it would be right for me to be the one to break away.” He said as his semblance turned determined. “There is still something I must settle.”
All Might nodded. “The look in your eyes is completely different now.” He hugged Todoroki and whispered. “I won’t ask for details, I’m sure you will be able to do what you need to do.”
“Yes.”
“This is too much.” All Might said shocked as he saw Katsuki chained up against a pillar attached to his podium and with a bite mask. “Young Bakugou, my boy!” He laughed as he took the mask off him.
“All Might.” Katsuki growled slowly and the hero frowned at him. “A first place like this...IS NOT WORTH ANYTHING! EVEN IF THE WORLD RECOGNIZES IT IF I DON’T THEN IT’S FUCKING TRASH!” He yelled through clenched teeth and the crowd paled at the face he was making while his friends were trying not to laugh.
What an amazing face!
All Might nodded and placed his palms over his hips as he looked to the crowd. “In this world where people are being compared constantly, there are not many who can keep aiming for the top.” He finished as he returned to face Katsuki.
His face is amazing!
“Take this medal, okay? Think of it as a wound, so you don’t forget!” All Might tried to place the medal over his shoulders but Katsuki moved his head backwards.
“I DON’T FUCKING WANT IT! BUZZ OFF!”
“Now, now.” The hero struggled as the boy trembled and finally forced it into his mouth. “Here!”
“HERE YOU HAVE IT! THE TOP THREE! THE NEXT GENERATION OF HEROES! NOW SAY IT WITH ME!”
“GOOD WORK/PLUS ULTRA!” All Might and the rest said at the same time.
“EEEEEH?!”
After everything ended, most of the arena was empty except for Katsuki who had his knees crunched down and with the medal hanging from his mouth. Izuku stopped in front of him a few meters away, she tilted her head as she crossed her arms.
“Kacchan.” She said but no response.
Okay, the old reliable...Act cute.
“Congrats for the first place Kacchan!”
“I DIDN’T WON DAMMIT!” He growled and she flinched.
“Come on Kacchan.”
“YOU CALL THAT A VICTORY?!” He stood up while fuming through his nostrils. “THAT BASTARD REFUSED TO USE HIS FUCKING FLAMES AND GAVE ME SUCH A FUCKING HALF-ASSED BATTLE!” He spat the medal but Izuku catched it.
“Chill Kacchan.” She pleaded as she got closer to him.
“I’M FUCKING CHILL!” He said as he made a demon face.
All Might was right, what an amazing face.
“I won’t let you go until you calm down.” She said sternly as she watched him tremble but he was not yelling anymore so that was good. She ran both of her hands through his hair to calm him down, her hands slid down to his cheeks while a pair of red eyes watched every move, she ran her thumbs over his cheeks and she looked around, verifying that no one was watching. “I’ll let you go now.” She whispered and gave him a quick peck on his cheek and jerked back up, wiggling a little to see if he’d calmed down completely. She smiled as she saw his whole body relaxed and with a swift movement of her head she destroyed the chains.
“Izuku…” Katsuki whispered as he took her hands.
“Let me finish...he must have his reasons...I kinda pushed him over the line.” She looked to the other side in shame. “You’ll have another chance to fight him, it must be pretty shocking for him to use that side of his that he pledged to never use.” She gave him the medal. “We’ll grow and perfectionate our abilities to come back better than ever.” She motioned him to take it and he rolled his eyes but took back the medal to put it on his pocket.
“Tch.”
“Izuku-chan!” A loud voice from behind had them jerking apart, Izuku looked over at her friends who had knowing looks on their faces saying: I’m not even sorry.
“You promised us that you'll get ready with us for the ball tonight.” Ochako pouted as the girls hugged Izuku by her arms. The freckled girl whipped her head around to see that Katsuki was being dragged away by Kirishima.
.
.
“AAAAAAAAAH!” Ochako cried in pain as Izuku waxed her legs in Momo’s room.“You’re right these come in handy!” She beamed happily as she touched her legs while the other girls nodded in agreement as they saw their own legs.
“I know right?” Mina jumped up and down. “Izuku told me a few months ago, it lasts a month.” She placed Momo’s hand over her legs. “Seriously, feel me...I’m so fucking soft.”
Izuku giggled softly as she puts on the white dress that she bought a few weeks ago while the other girls did the same, when she finished she saw how Momo was doing Tsuyu’s hair with pretty flowers with a braid. She gulped hard as she approached the princess gripping the hem of her dress tightly and the princess noticed as she saw her.
“Izuku, what’s wrong?” Momo asked as she finished the hairstyle.
“I...I want to look...cute.” Izuku whispered with her face red and her ears were ringing. “Can you help me?” She stared down at the floor and there was a silence, she looked up at her friends who stopped moving.
“IZUKUUUUU!” Her friends screamed happy to help.
Izuku smiled at her reflection in the mirror, she wore her white dress, her green corset that hugged perfectly her waist, half of her hair was down while the other half was tamed with a braid in the middle that was adorned with beautiful white and green flowers. Mina helped her with her makeup specially on her eyes and left her freckles to make her look more natural, while Momo made her some heels, the part of the heel was adorned with the same flowers of her hair.
“Izu-chan you look like a snack!” Mina said as she slapped Izuku’s ass making her yelp while covering her butt.
“I don’t think that I…” Izuku started to watch Momo’s boobs unconsciously and back at her not so prominent ones and Ochako noticed.
“Izuku-chan, worry not! What you don’t have here.” Ochako pointed at Izuku's average boobs and slapped her friend’s ass. “Gets balanced with these babies!”
“Okay, I think my ass has been slapped enough!” Izuku rubbed her butt again as she saw that her friends were ready to go. “And you shush!” She pointed at Mina who had a loud smirk of her face.
“What are we waiting for? The boys are already there!” Jirou said and the girls ran towards the ball.
The girls arrived some minutes later, the streets were full of people dancing, many people were doing magic shows for the children, the musicians over a stage played incessantly so that people could dance at the center, there was a table full of food in the background and the girls immediately knew where the boys were.
Izuku walked around through the dancing pairs looking for Katsuki, she sighed in defeat and felt someone poking her shoulder, she turned around to find Todoroki with a soft smile.
“Midoriya.” Todoroki bowed in greeting and she bowed in return. “Would you like to dance?” He asked as he extended his hand to her and Izuku took his hand and let him lead her to the dance floor. “I’d like to thank you Midoriya.”
“Thank me? I think I owe you an apology for praying too much into your business.” Izuku scratched her cheek and the prince shook his head.
“Believe me, If it weren't for that, I wouldn't have realized something important ... That this power is mine and not anyone else's.” Todoroki’s lip curled in a crooked smile, he took her right hand and brought it to his lips to kiss it. “I owe you my thanks.”
“You’re welcome, you should smile more often man.” Izuku waved her other hand nervously and looked around to find Endeavor’s angry face.”HAHAHAHAHA LOOK AT KING DOUCHE’S FACE!” She and Todoroki snickered at his face.
“But seriously, I think you would have won the first place if you hadn’t slipped with the ice.” Todoroki teased.
“Ooooh! Low blow!” Izuku punched his chest softly. “I don’t know, Kacchan is very strong...He’s the best warrior of his tribe.” She said as the song ended.
“Speaking of the devil.” Todoroki said as he looked behind her.
“My fucking turn Icyhot.” A familiar voice growled at Todoroki behind Izuku, she smiled as she felt his arms around her waist. “Now...fuck off! Shu shu!”
“Thank you Midoriya for the dance and for hearing me out.” Todoroki bowed to her and she did the same before he took his leave to talk with Momo.
Katsuki spun her around so they were face to face, he pulled her closer to him and she looked at him from head to toe. His cloak was new and more red than the one he uses normally, he had his face painted with red colors over his cheeks and black over his eyes making the beautiful red to stand out more, his chest was covered with different patterns along with his arms. He had different collars of different colors, Izuku widened her eyes as she saw that the necklaces seemed to shine down the light of the moon and so his red earrings.
“Your necklaces are shining.” Izuku said in awe as she touched his collars and she felt a tug at her necklace as they danced.
“So does yours.” Katsuki whispered as she looked into her eyes.
“You look...regal? Is this a formal attire of your tribe?” She asked and he nodded. She wrapped her arms around his shoulders with ease and he grabbed her waist with his both hands in reflex. “With these shoes I’m at your eyelevel.” She giggled, she almost stumbled because of her heels but Katsuki pushed her up in the air and spun her around making her giggles to intensify. Her dress and his cloak moved along with them as they spun around a few times in synchrony, the people who were next to them had to move away a little as they saw in awe.
“Idiot! You almost tripped because of those stupid shoes.” He muttered to her as she descended from above.
“Tch...I wanted to look cute.” She pouted as they danced but felt a hand pushing her against him.
“For who?” He asked and she blushed as she saw his eyes heat.
“Isn’t it obvious? You big idiot.” She averted her eyes in embarrassment, they continued to dance a few more songs but all that time he didn’t say anything and just kept staring at her. “Kacchan you’re too quiet, s-stop staring.”
“Why?” Katsuki grabbed her by the chin so she would look at him again, his gaze dropped to her lips and he bent forward, only to lean back when they heard a booming laugh.
“WELCOME EVERYBODY! I SEE EVERYONE IS HAVING FUN!” All Might cheered over the stage with the other professors. “BUT THERE MORE YET TO SEE! WE’LL BE HAVING FIREWORKS IN AN HOUR!”
“WELL LET THE PARTY CONTINUE!” The master of the guild Nezu raised his fist and everyone cheered with him.
“You and I need to talk.” Izuku said in a serious tone, she took his hand and motioned him to follow her into the forest. A few seconds passed as they blended more into the tall trees, when she considered a good distance she stopped and turned to face him, she grabbed her necklace.“You know I’ve been meaning to ask...What’s the meaning of this necklace?”
Katsuki took his time to get close to her as Izuku continued to explain.
“You know, Mina told me some interesting things about your traditions…” Izuku grinned evilly and backed away slowly with her fingers intertwined behind her back. “Once you want to court a lady you must give a necklace to prove your loyalty.”
“Why did you kiss me?” His voice was rough, he walked forward and she didn’t notice until he was towering over her.
“Don’t answer me with another question-eep!”
He grabbed her wrists and she tried to push him but because of her lack of practice with those shoes, her heels sinked into the ground causing her to fall over the ground with him kneeling over her. He pinned her wrists above her head and her knees had automatically raised up to cage his hips when he dropped his weight against her. His body felt warm and heavy against the junction of her thighs, she could feel how his body moved subtly against her as he breathed in and out. His face was shielded by his hair and the veins in his throat throbbed. He was looking away from her for a moment and then he found her eyes by pressing his nose to hers, so close she could taste him in their shared air.
“I was gonna leave so I wanted to leave a proof that I existed...That you were mine, I knew what I wanted and that was you.” He lets go of her hands so he could brush the hair off out of her eyes as he used his elbows to keep from crushing her.
“Is that what you want?” Her voice came a little higher because of her nerves.
“Oh! that’s not even close...I want to kiss you, I want to hold you, I want your stupid freckeled face to be the first thing I see when I wake up and the last thing I see before going to sleep.” Izuku blushed more and more as he continued. “I want the whole world to know that you are mine, not with this necklace.” He paused to tug at her necklace and she trembled. “But with your heart and body, sometimes when you put yourself in danger I want to take you somewhere to have you by myself and protect you but when I see you kicking those villain asses makes me regret to think that way.” He touched his forehead with hers, his eyes desperate for an answer. “I want you.”
“Is this your romantic way to say that you...Love me?” She teased him as her hands, which had been laying above her head came to touch his chest and she could feel him trembling from her touch. She slid her hands to his shoulders and brought her hands to cup his face. “You’re not asking me for anything that I can’t give you… Kiss me, Katsuki.” She whispered.
He complied with a groan and kissed her hard with an air of desperation, at first it was sloppy from both parties but as they continued, it changed and her arms circled around his neck. He sucked her lower lip into his mouth before releasing it, then he bit it lightly and released her lip again, she arched her back unconsciously at that. She opened her mouth and his tongue immediately came out to play with hers, her hands slid up to his hair and tightened. He slid one arm under her back so he could be closer than before and his other hand angeled her head so he could kiss her deeper.
This is so not what Izuku expected to be for her first kiss but she was not complaining.
He was a fucking good kisser.
They parted for air, he lowered his head to her ear. “I saw you entering the ball, with those exposed shoulders and these beautiful freckles...But that hot and cold bastard took you away.” His hot breath whispered over her neck and she closed her eyes as she gripped the strands of his hair, he shuddered against her. He dropped open-mouthed kisses over her neck and she gasped as she tilted her head unconsciously so he could address the other side. “Be my bride Izuku.” He said as he licked the spot where her shoulder and neck met.
“Wow! slow down...Aren’t you going too fast?” She asked but let out a little whimper when she felt him bit and suck the same spot and he felt her pulse jump against his tongue. He lifted his head from her neck, he looked down at her dazed state and gave her a wicked smile when he noticed the forming marks on her neck. She looked up at his face and saw pride, possessiveness and love. “Ahhh why the fuck not?” She cried out as she pulled him back to her mouth.
The hem of her dress slid down to the point it could be seen her legs, she ran her hands down his strong shoulders and down his chest to slide them over his back. He slid his hand from her waist to stop over her butt for a moment giving her a light squeeze and down to the back of her thigh. She moaned as she roamed her nails down his back, probably too hard and his hand clenched in response.
“Where is that hand going mister?” She jerked out of the kiss and asked panting when she felt him tug at her corset.
“Where it wants to be.” His eyes glazed with passion and hidden promises.
“Not here! We’re not far away from the party.” She said with a red face.
“So what? Let them see.” Katsuki shocked himself at how quickly he replied, he went down to nuzzle the base of her throat and sucked. She bucked her body against his as he moved to bite her shoulder softly.
Okay, he seriously needed to stop biting her or she’ll become addicted to him she thought to herself.
“Then become addicted to me like I’m addicted to you, god I love your neck.” He said over her neck.
Shit, she said that out loud.
“That too.” He chuckled and lifted his head. He gave her a smacking kiss that had her gasping before pulling away once more.
“We should head back.” She said in her haze. She had her cheeks red, her lips puffy from their kiss, she had marks of his teeth all over her shoulders and neck.
“Haaa?! There’s no way in hell I’ll let those bastards see you in this state!” He growled. “Now that I think about it...this way they’ll think twice after getting near you.” He said as he traced her marks and she moaned, he thanked the gods for making her so sensible. “You’re so dangerous.” He said huskily and leaned down wanting to kiss her again.
“Stop it you lustful animal!” She put her hands over his mouth. She flinched when he kissed her palms, he pulled her arms and curled them around his neck once more.
“Just one more.” He pleaded over her mouth and she gulped at the look of his eyes, she sighed and nodded shyly. He smirked and gave chaste kisses, again and again, she groaned as she leaned up for a harder press of his lips.
“Kacchan!” She whined as he lifted his head again with a loud smirk.
“Yes?” He asked innocently and kissed her forehead, her cheek and the corner of her mouth.
She made a strangled sound and tugged his collars to pull him more. “Kiss me like you mean it idiot.”
He gave her a wicked smile, he kissed her hard and she sighed in pleasure. This time she had him groaning as she nibbled his lower lips, she flicked her hot tongue with his and she roamed her nails again over his back. They went like that until their kiss turned slow, soft and tender.
“Okay, we seriously need to stop.” She said as she looked at the fireworks that started to appear, she had Katsuki buried over her neck taking calming breaths as he fought for control.
“Just...give me a moment.” His voice was so deep, he sighed and sat in front of her with each leg surrounding her hips and she sat on her knees.
Izuku leaned forward and rested her head against his chest. “I love you, Katsuki.” She whispered with her face red, she realized that he stopped breathing and she jumped as she felt his hands clenching her waist hard enough to bruise.
“Idiot, I love you too.” He laid his head on her shoulder, he kissed behind her shoulder and bit her.
“Kacchan!”

XV: Deep in Heat
There was only one week left until the wedding and like all brides, you were growing anxious each day. The pack was bustling with energy despite them not liking who their future leader was marrying. The wedding ceremony was something they were all looking forward to because you have learned from Mina that the wolves loved to party regardless of the circumstances. Mina had been the one to tell you about the pack, allowing you to break out of your shell around them. She would always bring you along whenever she went to talk with some of her friends. They weren’t fond of you at first but with Mina’s encouragement, they began asking you random questions, mostly about human lifestyles. And of course, you were delighted to answer.
That night you had dinner with her family was a lovely one. It felt as if you two had been friends for a long time and had been reunited. She joked and laughed about silly things, was affectionate not only in words but physically as well. She was a wonderful mother and wife who cared deeply about her family and those around her, if just one person was feeling down, she would do everything in her power for that person to be right again. If that wasn’t an amazing person, you didn’t know what else would fit that description.
Katsuki had hung out with Eijirou and someone else named Hanta that night. He had black hair that stopped at his chin. He was tall, lanky and whenever he smiled, his teeth looked incredibly straight without any flaws. He seemed like a nice man. He treated you kindly and expressed his happiness for Katsuki for finding a woman like you to marry. Katsuki went back to normal after the moment you shared by the river. It was like he never had that moment of weakness and he also never brought it up again. You assumed it was still difficult for him to talk about it, so you left the topic alone for another day.
You looked in the tiny mirror that was attached to the cave wall and you dipped your finger in a jar before bringing it to your lips to paint them red. It completed your look from the blush on your cheeks to the kohl liner around your eyes.
“Oooo~ you’re looking sooooo beautiful,” Mina gushed, tail swaying as she suddenly appeared on your right. She was hunched over your shoulder peering into the mirror to gaze at your reflection. “Katsuki isn’t gonna let you walk in the morning!”
You flushed at her words and she laughed. You began to take her in, eyes roaming her figure. She was wearing the shortest skirt you’ve ever seen with a fitted cropped shirt that exposed her muscled stomach. The skirt at least flowed with her movement and wasn’t skin tight, but it accentuated her figure, giving her the illusion that she had larger hips. The color of it had clashed with her skin tone but in a good way, purple and turquoise in a camouflage like pattern drew the attention of her flushed skin. Large beads hung around her neck and jingled when she moved. She even has some around her hips and wrist.
Your clothes weren’t as revealing hers, but it was a burgundy dress that stopped slightly above your mid-thigh and hugged at your form. Your legs that were usually covered by your long skirt was now exposed. Your neck and collarbones were shown as the collar of your dress shaped around your breasts and plunged into a heart shape. Your neck was also decorated with the golden necklace Katsuki gave you and golden bangles jingled on your wrists to match it. You borrowed it all from Mina for tonight’s celebration and you couldn’t be more grateful to her.
The wolves always held a celebration the week before a wedding. It was a tradition but, honestly, you just thought it was an excuse for them to have more parties. So, you were getting ready at Mina and Eijirou’s cave. You could already hear the music blasting, drums being beaten, tambourines jingling, flutes sounding and other instruments you couldn’t quite name. It sounded like it was right outside their cave, but it was really in the courtyard where the wolves had already gathered in the late evening.
“You guys are going to kill all the men who look at you,” Ochako said, grinning from the corner of the room. She was already done, wearing a pink dress that was fitted to her form at the top but blew out at the bottom. Lately, you haven’t been seeing Ochako around. She’s been sneaking out these past last couple of weeks, not telling anyone where she’s been going so you were happy to hang out with her tonight. You wanted to catch up.
“All of us! We’re gonna make them faint!” Mina started checking herself out in the mirror, twisting and twirling around as she posed. Her reflection was being blocked by your body, yet she still pretended she could see her entire body.
“Careful, Mina, wouldn’t want baby number four to happen,” Ochako laughed and Mina shrugged.
“Wouldn’t mind it!”
“So how long is the party going to last?” You began fixing your hair, trying to decide whether to leave it down or put it up.
“How long? Pfft! We’re partying until dawn, ____!” Mina shot a finger in the air. She was a little too excited for this.
“You sure you aren’t drunk already?” Ochako placed her hands on her hips.
“No! But I seriously need a drink. I’m ready to party! Eiji’s gonna take care of the kids tonight so Kiri and I are basically free! Do you know how much free time you get when you have kids? None! Zero!”
You decided to leave it down, brushing your hair for a bit before you fluffed it to add volume.
“And yet you want to have a fourth one?”
“I said I wouldn’t mind, wouldn’t mind!”
“Okay guys, I’m ready,” you stood up and Mina whistled when she looked you over, ogling you in a way that would’ve made you uncomfortable if she was an older man.
“You sure you wanna wait till the wedding night? Cause Katsuki gonna pounce on you when he sees you.”
You laughed, “It’s not up for discussion. We already decided to wait and we’re both okay with that.”
“Gooosh, I couldn’t wait. You’re strong, ____,” you didn’t know if that considered you were strong on the account of you never experienced the feeling of sex. Maybe it was easier for you because you were in the unknown about it. Mina went on with expressing how excited she was about this party. You were just as excited as the last time you’ve been at a party. It was in your village during a festival. You remember the smells of food and the sounds of music, people dancing and having fun. You went with Izuku and his mother and it was the most fun you ever had. You were hoping it would be the same this time. Yes, the pack was still against the marriage but because of Mina, you had some women who tolerated you and actually spoke with you. This party was an opportunity to get to know them even more.
You followed Mina and Ochako out of the cave, saying your goodbyes to Eiji, Minato, and Mie as you passed by them. The sound of beating drums grew extremely loud the closer you came to the courtyard. The sun had completely set and the deep blue carpet with twinkling lights unraveled above you. The moon hung off the middle with half of it shrouded in dark. It was a mild night, not too cold and not too warm, which could only mean that winter was nearing its end. The snow had nearly melted from the surface, revealing the mountain’s stone flooring that clacked whenever your heel met with it. There was a path being lit up by totems on each side that led into the courtyard and the closer you got, the more excited Mina became while Ochako seemed to be looking around for something.
And when you reached the courtyard, your eyes widened in awe. There were so many wolves around, chatting, dancing, eating. There were tables set up that were occupied by some of them. Men were the ones at the drums, taiko drums, to be specific, and they pounded at them with bachi sticks, releasing a powerful sound that echoed into the air. Flutes were also being played flamboyantly, the players dancing to their own beat as they entertained the crowd dancing along with them. You assumed in the middle in front of the instrument players was the dancing area because wolves of all ages and genders were jumping, stomping, some clapping their hands, shaking their hips, hands in the air like they just didn’t care. These wolves know how to have fun!
“Oh! The bride is here!” You heard a booming voice. The music had stopped at once and soon all eyes were on you.
You gulped, not liking the attention.
But in place of drums were the wolves clapping, some howling at your presence. Mina and Ochako also began to howl as a signal of your arrival. You felt… touched. Even if some wolves did ignore you and continued what they were doing, most had greeted you with either an applause or a howl. And then the music returned, and the wolves resumed with their partying. It wasn’t long until you spotted Katsuki. He was sitting at the table in the center of all the tables, just staring at you. Eijirou was the one waving towards you which had Mina bolting over. Hanta was also there and a few other faces you haven’t seen before. But Katsuki stayed staring like he was a statue. You frowned. Was he… not impressed?
Katsuki’s brain stopped working the moment he saw you. Fuck! Damn! Shit! And all the curse words he could thought of was the only thing his brain managed do. Was he not impressed? Oh, he most definitely was impressed. He knew you were a beautiful woman but seeing you in these clothes? Hot damn. It was making him sweat. He downed the drink in his hands, giving his head a quick shake to spell the burning feel away. He watched as you made your way to him and watched how your hips swayed. Fuck! You were a Goddess. He was already praying for Fenrir to calm his heart… and his loins.
“Hey Katsuki…” you looked shy, shoulders erect, when you greeted him. A whistle sounded from one of the men at the table.
“And this is the bride I’m hearing so much about! Now I know why Katsuki’s marrying you!” He stood up, reaching over the table to hold out his hand towards you, nearly knocking over some drinks but Hanta was quick to move them. “Denki! Pack leader of the Kaminari clan. We’re allies with your pack!”
Katsuki rolled his eyes, slapping his hand away before you could take ahold of it. Denki yelped, rubbing his hand as it grew red from the abuse.
“What the hell, man, can’t greet your wife?”
“Just sit the fuck down,” Katsuki growled. Eijirou and Hanta snickered. Mina then plopped herself on Eijirou’s lap and kissed him deeply to greet him. Katsuki wondered if you would do the same but you stood there, awkwardly like you weren’t comfortable in your own skin. He wasn’t expecting anything of the sorts, he knew you weren’t comfortable doing such things in front of people. Ochako just looked like she was looking for someone, but she was the least of his worries.
“Come sit,” he pulled you by the arm and into the space next to him. He was still holding onto your arm, looking you over faster than you could notice. Goddamn. Those thighs. “Dress suits you,” he really wanted to say you were fucking hot, but he’ll save it for later.
He watched you flush, relaxing slightly, eyes fluttering around to make sure no one was watching. “Thanks. You look good too.” Katsuki took pride in how you took him in, eyes lingering longer on his exposed chest. Since it was milder tonight, he decided to go without a shirt and wore his black cargo pants and white boots. He still wore fur but only around his shoulders as the rest of his cape was a red battered cloth. Several necklaces hung at his neck, like painted fangs of predators he had hunted turned into decorations for his neck. And part of his arms was covered by orange and black arm warmers, leaving his upper arm and hands exposed.
“Heh, thanks.” Katsuki smirked, wolf ears flickering, then he poured himself a drink. “Ever drank before?”
You shook your head. “First time.”
“I’m taking a lot of your firsts, huh?” Your blush spread as your eyes widened at his daring words. Thankfully he said it under his breath for only you to hear. He passed you a cup before you could say anything more. “Drink it fast.”
He watched you with his head against his knuckles. You stared down at the cup. There was only a small amount of alcohol in there compared to the size of the cup and you had glanced at Mina, watching her knock her head back to down the alcohol, shivering slightly before she laughed at something Hanta and Denki said. Ochako had already disappeared so she wasn’t present to watch you drink. You then watched Katsuki and he did the same thing this time without wincing after and after staring at the cup for god knows how long you drank it, attempting to knock your head back. But the alcohol still didn’t fall as fast and you tasted the bitter flavor on your tongue before it burned and went down your throat. You started coughing, spitting up some as your eyes began to water. Katsuki was quick. He already gave you a tissue and rubbed his hand on your back.
“That was… disgusting. How do you drink this stuff?” You spoke through your coughs and wiped your mouth clean of saliva. The bitter flavor still lingered on your tongue and you grabbed a piece of bread off the table and shoved it in your mouth to rid of the taste.
“You get used to it.” Katsuki was already on his third drink and he didn’t seem like he would be getting drunk any time soon.
Mina drank another shot before she asked you to dance.
“We’ll be here. Go have your fun!” Eijirou said before he gave Mina another sloppy kiss. You told Katsuki you would be back and gave his arm a squeeze. He waved at you, wishing he had kissed you instead.
Mina pulled you into the dance area. Just before she started dancing she asked you where Ochako went but you had no clue, so she shrugged and began to move her hips rhythm of the drums. She grabbed your hands, wanting you to join her in her dance. You weren’t much of a dancer, but the beat of the drums and the sound of the flute was doing something to you internally that you were already tapping your feet as soon as you had touched the dance floor. You decided to let go, moving your arms, feet, and hips to the beat.
“Yeah, ____! Shake that ass!” You could barely hear Mina over the drums but her large smile told you she was enjoying this. The wolves were dancing so close together that you were getting touched all around, but you didn’t seem bothered by it and neither did the wolves. They were too concerned with getting lost in the music, some of them too drunk to where all they could do was dance and not be bothered that you were next to them. They pushed against you, rubbed against you, as well as Mina’s body. You didn’t want to admit it but maybe that one drink loosened you up. You weren’t exactly drunk, but you were definitely feeling a little buzz within you and it was enough to make you forget your worries.
Katsuki watched you in the middle of the courtyard. Sometimes he would lose sight of you because the crowd was overwhelming at times but when you would appear again, he would watch you shake your body. Your hips, your waist, your everything. You moved like it was your last night alive, like Fenrir’s spirit had took ahold of you and made you wild. He liked this side of you. It was different from the tamed girl he came to know you as. He was happy to know that even humans had a wild side.
“Your wife, Kacchan, damn.”
A vein popped across his forehead when he heard Denki and he growled lowly. “If you don’t stop looking at my woman… and don’t fucking call me ‘Kacchan’”
“I know, I know, gosh, you’re forgetting I’m happily married,” Denki had a cocky grin on his face while he flashed his necklace. Katsuki didn’t know why. There was nothing to be cocky about. He was getting married next week.
“That don’t mean shit.”
“Yes, it does… besides…” he drank from his cup, gold eyes up and still well on your body. “Nothing wrong with lookin’”
Katsuki slammed his fist down on the table and it caused all the cups and plates to jump on impact. His snarl was nasty, lingering until he couldn’t hold his breath any longer. His crimson eyes as sharp as his baring fangs. “Unless you wanna fucking go home blind, then I suggest you get your eyes off of my woman!”
“Relax, child!” He slammed a second fist down when a hand slapped the side of his head. He turned to look behind him already prepared to claw up whoever dared to attack him. He wasn’t surprised to see his mother and it didn’t lessen the anger he was feeling. “Don’t go threatening our allies, especially for something so minuscule as looking at your woman.”
“Don’t fucking touch me! Shit! Why are you even here?!”
“Someone has to stay sober and watch over the celebration. You can never be too careful. As future leader, you should know these things but instead you’re sitting here yelling at our allies.”
“Then go watch over the celebration somewhere else! I’m trying to enjoy my night!”
Mitsuki’s face crinkled up. “You ungrateful child! You dare speak to your mother that way!?”
“Shit, if you don’t like it then go somewhere!” Katsuki downed another cup. “Fuck, I gotta go use the bathroom.” He then got up and brushed past his growling mother, heading straight for the bathrooms. There was a cave designated for it somewhere around the courtyard. He relieved himself and as he was making his way back, he stumbled upon something that made him confused as hell.
You and Mina danced until you couldn’t dance no more. You needed a break and something to eat. So, Mina suggested to hang out with her friends. You’ve met them before. Momo and Tsuyu, but a new woman that you’ve never seen before was sitting with them at a table not too far from Katsuki’s. You couldn’t help but glance at his table while you passed by but saw that he wasn’t there. You were soon distracted by the warm faces of Mina’s friends to wonder why Katsuki wasn’t at his table. They were weary of you when you first met them but within time, they warmed up to you with Mina’s help.
“Momo! Tsu! Kyoka!” Mina gave all of them hugs and you greeted them with a wave. Kyoka looked scary from afar. She wore all black, had dark purple hair and gave off this don’t-talk-to-me vibe but the moment you greeted, she looked warm, smiling softly along with Momo and Tsuyu. It wasn’t long until you found out she was the wife of Denki, second leader of the Kaminari pack. Which surprised you at first because of how energetic he was but as you got to know Kyoka, you realized out how great they matched each other.
Together as a group, you moved to the food table, grabbing a plate and looking to see what to take. Your mouth was already salivating from the aroma and you began filling your plate with different proteins like chicken, rabbit, deer, and a bowl of rice. Lastly, you grabbed utensils which had a large pile of them left. Most wolves do without them and eat with their hands.
Mina already had her plate full of food in one hand and a large bottle of alcohol in the other. She was really trying to get drunk tonight.
Back at the table, you ate together, and they talked about random things that had happened to them in their daily lives. Mina talked about her children and how fast they were growing each day. Tsuyu talked about her interest in frogs. Apparently, she had a slight obsession with them, love to go out and study them. Momo was discussing about her recent find in tea leaves during her walks in the forest and Kyoka talked about a new song she was writing and couldn’t wait to sing. And you talked about your interest in pack which led to the girls asking about your first meeting with Katsuki.
You explained, feeling a little giddy. You haven’t told anyone about how you two met and just talking about it was making you relive some memories. You explained everything from when Katsuki chased you and then spared you and healed your wounds to you bringing him some food to help him to when you two got attacked by the hunters and chose to protect Katsuki ultimately getting you exiled from your village.
“That’s so romantic…! You guys belong together!” Mina started to slur, and her cheeks were pinker than normal. She might be already drunk.
“It’s truly a wonderful story, though I can’t help but wonder why Katsuki decided to heal you instead of… well, he was hunting you, yes?” Momo held her chin in thought.
“It does seem odd,” Tsuyu looked up with a finger to her chin, probably thinking the same thing.
“It’s love at first sight, I tell ya!! Love at first sight!!” Mina yowled, making a heart shape with her hands.
“I asked him why he did when we met the second time, but he never gave a straight answer,” Mina passed you a cup and you stared at it, contemplating if you should drink it.
“Yeah, typical Katsuki, never giving straight answers, just yelling,” Kyoka downed her drink. She looked a bit flushed as well. You assumed she was drunk, thankfully not the rowdy type like Mina.
“____! Drink! Drink!” Mina urged you when she noticed that you were taking too long to drink from your cup. You glanced down at it. Should you try it again, or should you ban yourself from tasting something so disgusting ever again? You looked back at Mina and she was making an upward motion with her hand before she began to pout, wolf ears falling down and tail drooping. She was so dramatic even when she was drunk. You downed your drink as fast as you could, shivering after at the taste and burn. It wasn’t as bad as the first time, that’s for sure.
Mina instantly refilled your cup and you waited for the burn to settle before downing that one.
Katsuki kind of didn’t know what he saw as he just saw a glimpse of it, but it looked like Ochako was hooking up with some guy in a shadowy corner of the courtyard, away from the party. He didn’t take her to be the type and he doesn’t remember whether she drank or not. Well, he didn’t care for long. He stumbled out of nowhere, there was nothing around him to make him to do so except for his past actions. Was he already drunk? Fuck, maybe he had one too many drinks. He wasn’t planning on being totally wasted tonight because he didn’t want to wake up feeling sluggish.
By the time Katsuki came back, his mother had already vanished, and he felt relieved.
“Katsukiiiii, welcome back…!” Hanta was already drunk and he was still drinking. He had an arm around Denki’s shoulders who also was bright red in the face. They were swaying together, big idiot smiles on their faces and hands full of their cups. They started singing and Katsuki could’ve sworn his hangover came early.
“Dude, they’re gone,” Eijirou laughed, no doubt feeling the buzz from his drinks because he began bobbing his head to their voices like it was actual good music coming from them. Katsuki sighed heavily at them and emptied his cup, cheeks hot from the alcohol rushing in his veins. The world began to spin in front of him and he closed his eyes to stop it. His eyebrows furrowed as if he were in pain, but it was because there were too many sounds happening at once. He didn’t know what to focus on. The voices all around him? The drums? Or the flutes? Or the pathetic singing of Hanta and Denki?
He opened his eyes. Everything looked fuzzy. He saw double of everything including the cup in his hands that Denki just refilled. He didn’t hesitate to drink it, humming at the warmness and mistaking it for the burn that simmered down his throat and chest. He felt something heavy fall on his lap and its weight pressed against his chest as something touched his shoulders. Denki, Hanta, and Eijirou all looked at him like he had two heads.
It took Katsuki a moment to realized that ‘something’ was you. You had plopped on his lap the same way Mina did to Eijirou and your arms were resting on his shoulders while your fingers lightly twirled in his hair. You were staring at him dead in his face with a distinct flush blossomed on your cheeks. Damn, were you drunk?
“Hey Katsuki…” you purred, pressing a wet kiss that had too much tongue on the corner of his mouth. Yup, you were drunk. Otherwise you wouldn’t be doing this in front of his friends, you probably wouldn’t even being doing this if you two were alone.
“Hey baby, what’sh… going on with you…?” Katsuki’s words were slurred and you cut him off with a heavy kiss to his lips, smacking your smiling lips against his. It was sloppy, loud, and tasted of bitter alcohol.
“Nothin’… I just missed you…” You breathed, and his hand moved to stroke your exposed thigh. Your dress has been riding up since you sat in his lap.
“Ya… same,” a sharp inhale of breath sounded from the both of you before your lips collided, tongues already in each other’s mouth, swallowing each other’s breath and saliva. A heavy moan left him, finally achieving what he wanted to do the moment he saw you. Katsuki squeezed a part of your thigh before he had his hand slip up your dress, daring to tread on areas he hadn’t felt before. And all in front of his friends.
“Hey, get a room!” Eijirou frowned, not wanting to see his best friend doing things that should be in the privacy of his cave.
“Nah, lemme enjoy the show…!” Denki waved him off, pushing him even. His grin grew wider and wider the longer his eyes roamed. Katsuki noticed and he immediately grew frustrated, breaking the kiss with a loud wet smack and growling in Denki’s direction.
“What the fuck did I say?!” You nearly fell off his lap when he suddenly sat forward but he wrapped an arm around your waist in both to save you and to flaunt his possession.
But all Denki did was laugh, not a hint of fear in his eyes when Katsuki bared his fangs.
You suddenly got off of him, pulling your dress down before you grabbed his hand and tugged his arm. “Come on...” you stared down at him, blush deepening to the point where it couldn’t just be the alcohol. Katsuki stared, almost dumbfoundedly. He then stood up immediately, the fight with Denki forgotten as he followed you away from the party. The tail behind him shaking excitedly.
Katsuki growled playfully when he thrown you against the wall, arms pinned to it as his lips instantly slobbered around your neck, alternating to your right side then left side with such haste you shivered and quaked under his hold. You gasped and felt the weakness in your knees, melting against the wall and his body as his arm around your waist held you up. One of your hands were dug into his side, desperately clinging on to anything you could feel. Katsuki kissed you to quench his hunger but it never was fulfilled. The more he felt your lips, the more he wanted it, drinking your moans, groaning and growling, grinding against your body as if to fuse with it.
His hands circled your hips, loving the feel of your smooth skin under his fingertips. He slid his right hand around your hip to your thigh, eventually placed it under your knee and lifted your leg to hold it around his hip. You continued kissing him regardless of his bold act, a hand buried in his hair while the other moved from his side to caress his muscled stomach, each individual ab a rocky hill to his clenched terrain. You continued moving north and palmed his pecs, his nipple rubbing against your hand no doubt erect cause of the pleasure brewing in him. He responded with his own knead of your breasts, engulfing one of them in his hands and giving it a firm squeeze.
He grunted softly and pulled away from your lips with a wet suck. His crimson gaze as fiery as the sun, beaming heavy with lust as they scanned your face. He loved all of your expressions, but this had got to be his all-time favorite one. You looked absolutely needy. Your skin was heavily flushed from the alcohol and the relentless assault he had on your lips. Your lips were apart, and your eyes looked hazy with the certainty that you were undeniably, incontestably, indisputably horny.
And if you would let him, he would be more than willing to help you to quell the ache between your legs.
You were convinced. Alcohol was the devil. It talked for you, thought for you, moved for you without making you realize any repercussions of your actions. It eliminated all amounts of your super ego and purely motivated your id. So of course, when Katsuki lifted your dress and pulled your underwear to the side, you pulled him closer, looking down when his fingers tread lightly on the lips of your vagina, and although you couldn’t see well because you were in a dark corner, somewhere against the mountainside near the caves, you surely felt it. You also felt that this was something you shouldn’t be doing. It went against all of your morals, having a man touch you before he even claims you, but you were too intoxicated to care, too obsessed with exploring this desire. You revisited that moment of when Katsuki first touched you when he licked your wound. That shiver you felt. The very thing that made you all too curious.
“Nn…” you bit your lip, feeling his fingers go between your folds and soon becoming slick with secretion when he neared your entrance.
“Already this fucking wet for me…” he said huskily, a smirk on his own face with reddened cheeks. But he did nothing except tease you with his words, mumbling about what he was going to do to you and how you were going to take it. It felt like he was rambling to himself, sounding nonsensical as his fingers moved slightly north in search for something. And when he found it, it had your legs trembling, the one being held up by his hand squeezed against him like you wanted to close them, toes curling in your shoes. You gritted your teeth and watched as Katsuki rubbed his fingers on your clit in a motion that was not too gentle.
He saw you watching, and he uttered out, “see this?” You looked up into his eyes. “I’mma fuck you this rough. Right here. Right now.”
“Nnngh… Ahn…” and when you dug your nails into his arm, it made him quicken his pace. Your eyes rolled, and you bit your bottom lip and started to move your hips to his rhythm, like it was his own beat of his drum. A low growl sounded, and he pressed his lips to your neck, groaning heavy with a salty after taste on his tongue.
“You’ll like that…?” He stopped to whisper, lips moving hot against your ear. You couldn’t even answer, just a string of incoherent, jumbled words that were slurred out in between gasps and moans was all you could muster out and Katsuki took that as a yes.
“Lookin’ so sexy in that goddamn dress. Fuck…”
He continued holding up your leg but with his other hand he began fumbling with the zipper of his pants. His bulge, outrageous in shape, that you thought most of it was an illusion caused by the shadows. He was so clumsy with his hand that it took him ages to zip down his pants and reveal his fuzzy blonde pubes.
“F-F-Future leader…!” The both of you froze, hearing a woman’s yell before she gasped. Katsuki didn’t even turn around, his next words came out in a roar.
“Whaaaat?!”
“I-I’m sorry to interrupt but-but… there’re a few drunk men causing a scene and they might fight,” you could see the woman behind Katsuki’s head. She stayed a good distance away but anyone in their right mind would’ve known what was happening between you two by one glance. The blush on her face was a good indicator that she knew exactly what.
“Then get the old hag—I’m busy!!”
“We can’t find her. We assumed she retired for the night,” Katsuki resumed pressing kisses on your neck and jaw, fingers on your clit moving yet again, earning a purr of his name from you. The woman gulped, not knowing whether to walk away or to try again. She was feeling ballsy tonight.
“F-Future leader…?”
“Just give me a damn minute!!” A delayed gasp left you when Katsuki’s hand left and suddenly slammed his fist on the wall next to your head. He then fumbled with the zipper of his pants, his fuzzy pubes disappearing behind the waistband. “I’ll be back for that sweet ass. Just wait for me in our cave…” he husked with a smirk so wide and handsome that your clit throbbed without a single touch. But what was more criminally was when he brought his fingers that was coated with your wetness into his mouth, licking and sucking on it, gaze held strong against your own as he commented how delicious you were. You nearly died.
He then turned around a little too fast to where he almost lost his balance, but he regained it just as quickly before murmuring to the woman:
“Now show me the way so I can knock those idiots out.”
As the Katsuki and the woman left, you saw that she glanced back at you with eyes of slight envy and adoration. You soon straightened your underwear and pulled your dress down, licking your swollen lips. You remained on the wall, in a daze as the world around you felt like it was underwater. The sound of drums and people voices were merely a muffle to your ears. The sight before you spun when you pushed yourself off the wall and swayed with every step made.
You didn’t even recognize your surroundings and wobbled into the first cave you saw. Going down the narrow curve of the hallway that was only dimly lit by the wall lanterns, you felt a stirring in your stomach with a dull ache. Your inner cheeks became lathered with saliva building up and a gag that heaved your body forward was suppressed by your hands that slapped over your mouth. Ugh. You wanted to vomit. But you swallowed back whatever nearly came up and held onto the wall before moving. The first cloth makeshift door you felt out was immediately enter by you with no warning, no notice, just an idea that you thought it was your cave you were entering in.
So of course, when you stumbled upon the sight of a nude Ochako bouncing on the lap of your childhood friend, Izuku, the alcohol in your system was enough to have you shrieking.
Ochako hurled herself off of him with a scream and Izuku yelped as his dick flung out of her. He quickly gathered the sheep wool covers, first covering Ochako and then himself with his own clothes. Just what the hell were you seeing?
They both stared at you with wide, glossy eyes in what made seconds of silence feel like hours. And when they couldn’t handle the pressure of being stared at, they both stammered out, frantically.
“I-It was my idea!”
“I invited Izuku!”
You didn’t stay for them to explain further. You ran out, stunned at what you saw but was too drunk to comprehend it, you just knew you walked into something you shouldn’t have.
You followed the walls out of the cave and the urge to gag returned, feeling the saliva building again and you suddenly hunch over, and vomit surged from within you and splattered on the floor. Ugh, it’s brown with chunks. You wiped your mouth with a grimace.
“Hey, you okay?” You then felt a hand on your back. “Is this your first time drinking? And that bonehead son of mine left you alone?”
It was Mitsuki, bending slightly and peering into your face as she began to rub your back. She looked concerned, but you saw her knitted eyebrows and frowns as ripples like you were staring at her reflection in the water and then you threw up again.
“Come on, let’s get you to your cave,” Mitsuki wrapped her arm around your body to hold you up when you were done and slowly guided you in the right direction.
Katsuki was practically growling as he settled those rowdy wolves who were trying to fight each other. He didn’t even know what the issue was about. Once that woman pointed him to the right direction, Katsuki punched them square in the face and they fell to the ground, holding their cheeks. He yelled at them until they ran with their tails between their legs.
He was furious. He was seconds away from being buried between your thighs and out of all times, the pack needed his help. What kind of bullshit was that?
He bared his teeth to the starry skies, snarls stuttering through gritted teeth. Whatever. At least he could look forward to you waiting in his cave, legs sprawled and hopefully as needy as he left you. He waddled in his steps, swaying on his wobbly legs. He was moving as fast as he could, but it felt like he was traveling through the forest to get there.
When he finally entered the cave, thrusting through the hanging cloth with so much gusto that it nearly tore off, it wasn’t a surprise to find you in bed but what he wasn’t expecting was for you to be sleeping, deeply, snoring lightly with your arms and legs sprawled out and it definitely wasn’t in the way he initially thought of it.
“Fuck… are you serious?”  It felt like he missed the moment of a lifetime. You actually changed your mind and wanted to have sex. Although you were drunk and probably weren’t in the right state of mind to answer, Katsuki, being in that same boat, also just wanted to purely act on his desires. Looking so hot in that dress had awakened something in him and he knew that this final week before the wedding was going to be a cruel one.
He sighed softly, shrugged his cape from his shoulders and kicked off his boots. He pulled his pants until he was down to his underwear and joined you in bed. He slipped his arms around you and couldn’t resist kissing your neck lightly when you snuggled close to him. You mumbled something, but it wasn’t a sign that you were going to wake up. He growled lowly. He would just have to be patient. One week left. Just one week.
At dawn, a skull-splitting headache was there to greet you and it made you sensitive to everything around you, the candle lights, your slight movements, even Katsuki’s voice that sounded low, not really knowing what he said but knew it was full of concern for you.
The memories of last night came to you in bits and pieces. The first one being you discovering Izuku and Ochako’s relationship and the very last one being Katsuki fondling you against the wall. If you weren’t too busy dealing with this throbbing pain, you probably would’ve thrown yourself out of Katsuki’s arms and ran out the room in embarrassment.
After promising yourself to subdue these emotions until the wedding night, you nearly failed and allowed Katsuki to do such naughty things to you. You buried your face in your hands and he took that as you trying to get closer to him and slid his hand under your knee, pulling your leg until it hooked around his waist. You hope this wasn’t going to become a habit for him. Sure, you were pretty bold last night but you didn’t know if your heart could take feeling so exposed to him.
“I guess it’s true. Humans get these so called ‘hangovers’ after drinking,” Katsuki was softly stroking the back of your head.
“Ughhhh…. I’m never drinking again…” you whined, and he laughed, hand moving south to tread along your back.

BnHA Chapter 214: 4th Popularity Poll and 5th Set Climax
Previously on BnHA: Deku met a Hellboy-looking dude in another one of his One For All Dreams and they had a chat! This friendly yet intimidating fella told Deku that the power that had just exploded out of him was actually the dude’s quirk, Blackwhip. It turns out that OFA hasn’t just been stockpiling physical power; all six of the prior wielder’s quirks are included in the package as well! It’s just that up until now, none of the other wielders has ever been able to access them. Before vanishing back into the dream abyss, Deku’s new friend told him he needed to gain better control of his emotions, as his anger toward Monoma was what triggered Blackwhip’s rampage and made it so difficult to handle. Back in the real world, Deku awakened unharmed thanks to Ochako and Shinsou’s efforts. But since the teachers hadn’t called off the battle yet, Monoma came rushing in to attack, with the rest of Team B not being far behind. Mina and Mineta showed up to battle Yanagi, Shouda, and Kodai (they really need to do something about that number disadvantage), while Ochako battled Monoma and Shinsou got ready to take on Deku. The teachers are still watching btw, but it seems like they want to see how this plays out.
Today on BnHA: The newest popularity poll results are revealed and I have a lot of thoughts. A lot of thoughts. Vlad and All Might question why Aizawa wants to let the kids keep fighting, and Aizawa says it’s cuz they’re all still trying their hardest to win. Mineta saves Mina’s life and then completely ruins it because of course he does, but she takes it in stride and uses him to attack the others by flinging him at high speed to ricochet endlessly off of his grapes in a Gran Torino-esque fashion. Monoma tries to attack Deku with One for All but it doesn’t do anything (fortunately for Monoma), and Ochako then takes him down while Deku goes after Shinsou. Deku by the way is fighting quirkless because he’s worried that if he tries to use OFA right now he’ll lose control and put everyone in danger again. He and Shinsou start tusslin’ and we have a flashback to when Ponytail!Aizawa (omg) was training Shinsou on how to use his capture weapon. Back in the present, Shinsou uses the scarf to send a bunch of heavy pipes crashing down towards Deku. But Deku chooses this moment to make peace with himself and his quirk, and catches the pipes using Blackwhip.
(As always, all comments not marked with an ETA are my mostly-unspoiled reactions from my first readthrough of this chapter. I’m caught up with the manga now at chapter 225, so any ETAs will reflect that.)
how are BnHA’s Jump covers always so epic you guys
Tumblr media
Shinsou you better watch out, Deku’s fist is too close for comfort. well you’re the one who wanted to fight him again buddy
all right now let’s check out that character poll
oh, nice
Tumblr media
BUT WHERE ARE MY POLL RESULTS. HOLD ON A SECOND, I’M GOING TO THE WIKI TO INVESTIGATE
...okay so apparently the results were actually in chapter 207? but the color spread wasn’t released until this chapter wtf why
okay well let me analyze the color page first, and then I’ll go find and complain about the poll results
BAKUGOU AND DEKU’S SWORDS. okay I’ve seen this image before and I love it so much, and that is of course because it’s a sequel to the color page from chapter 120. and the two of them are now each carrying one half of All Might’s sword. basically this is symbolic confirmation that the two of them together will carry All Might’s legacy forward. this is so important to me you guys. this brings me so much joy and happiness
can we talk about what Hawks is wearing. I thought this was a medieval AU, but he’s looking rather steampunk to me. what, are you too cool for D&D, Hawks? also is that a literal hawk. that you’re holding. for some reason. huh
can we talk about what Todoroki is wearing?? and also what the actual hell is going on with his face? he’s wearing some sort of weird mask. and his outfit looks nothing like it did in the previous AU color spread. was Horikoshi just being extra or is this some indicator of a crazy plotline coming up for him somewhere down the road?
I notice my boy Aizawa is missing from the top ten, which is AN ACTUAL CRIME THAT SHOULD BE REPORTED TO THE POLICE, but! on the other hand! BEST FUCKING JEANIST OH MY GOD. WELCOME BACK BEAUTIFUL PRINCE. PLEASE HEAL UP SOON
loooooool Endeavor being in the top ten must have pissed off lord knows how many people. it would have pissed me off, before the Endeavorhawks arc. but I’m cool with it now. I get it. having him as your favorite doesn’t mean you’re giving a ringing endorsement of all his actions; it just means he’s a compelling character who’s been getting some really good development lately. still absurd that he’d be ranked over Aizawa, but if I’m honest with myself it really should be Jeanist who was bumped down for that. he’s just there because Japan apparently shares the same weird tastes as myself. by the way how fucking strange is it to see Jeanist without any Jeans holy shit is that even allowed
and winding down here, (1) I’m glad to see All Might still in the top ten ranks at least, (2) Iida is a handsome boy and I love how his armor is reminiscent of his Ingenium costume here, and that he’s the one actually riding the dragon (be careful Iida or my idiot son is going to fall right off its head), (3) Kirishima is still as popular as ever I see, and lastly (4) Momo being in the top 10 is giving me life and I hope she gets some more spotlight this year! it was great to see her as the head of her respective Joint Training battle team
okay! so now let me find the list from chapter 207
holy shit, okay so first of all let me just say that apparently this poll received almost 81,000 votes. for comparison, the third poll only received about 36,000
so having said that, it is absolutely astounding that my boy Bakugou came in at number one yet again, with a margin of over 1000 votes. glad to see you being appreciated boyo
and Shouto made it to #2 for the first time! good job hot and cold! the Endeavorhawks arc definitely gave him a boost as well I think. and well deserved!
and my boy Deku at #3, but while the difference between Katsuki and Shouto is only about 1200 votes, the difference between Shouto and Izuku is more than 7,400. basically the top two are in a league of their own here goddamn
and Hawks is all the way at #4! holy shit! more than 4,500 votes between him and Deku, mind, and Kirishima is nipping at his heels less than 200 votes away from him, but still, that’s amazing given how recently he made his debut and how relatively few chapters he’s been in. I expect the number of votes for him to skyrocket in the next poll, assuming we get more of that double agent storyline. Touya -- I mean Dabi -- is probably gonna get a boost too lol
my boy Finest Jeanist on God’s Green Earth is next at 6th, and then MOMO IN 7TH PLACE YAAAAAY GO MOMO
and Endeavor made it to 8th! HOLY SHIT ENDEAVOR YOU FINALLY BEAT ALL MIGHT IN THE APPROVAL RATINGS. THESE TRULY ARE MAD DAYS
Iida beat All Might as well and made it to #9! though only by 100 votes
and All Might is in 10th, and then Aizawa is at 11th. oh Aizawa. you were upstaged by a crotchety old man seeking to make amends for his past sins, and a denim-clad meme who nearly made the ultimate sacrifice against AFO and then proceeded to not be in the manga for 120 chapters and counting. but it’s okay you were never in this for the fame
anyways the rest of the results are listed here, but some quick parting remarks:
Gang Orca came in at 15th, presumably thanks to his EXTRA GUIDANCE
my boy Denki is in 16th place and I want him to keep moving up! go kick Shindou’s ass. how the hell did that tool make it all the way to 14th place
Ojiro is still inexplicably popular to me. he’s a nice guy but you could replace him with a cardboard cutout of himself probably and I bet you it would take some time before anyone noticed something was off
Jirou is at 21st despite her performance in the Band AU arc and that is fucked up, people. WHERE IS THE RESPECT
Shinsou somehow went down despite finally making his reappearance in the series?? I seriously don’t understand how popularity works, at all
Overhaul beat Mirio by 3 votes and while I’m so psyched Mirio did better than the last poll (up to 26th place! these 455 people have impeccable taste), this fact is utterly depressing to me. did these people actually read the arc, for real
NIGHTEYE IS AT 27TH AND I’M SO SAD. not about him being at 27th, because that’s actually pretty good. but just, you know. because once again I am reminded that he’s dead sob
lastly, in the American popularity poll Bakugou received 38,000 fucking votes holy shit. we may not have any fucking clue how to vote for presidents but at least we fucking got something right, goddamn. and Mirio in 9th place. and Aizawa in 6th. you guys are all right, US fandom
anyways that took like 25 years and if I’d known it was going to be this long I would have saved the poll to be its own damn recap lol. but now on to the actual chapter!
lol so Vlad is like ARE YOU FUCKING SERIOUS, YOU DON’T WANT TO STOP THEM??
Vlad this is just how we do things around here. not all of us can be ~safe~ teachers whose students don’t get attacked and abducted every Wednesday afternoon. some of us like to live on the edge and be super irresponsible because we’re lazy and also because the students will honestly manage to get into trouble regardless of whether we do our jobs or not
and anyways Aizawa says that if Deku’s quirk acts up again he’ll stop it so it’ll be fine
Tumblr media
and All Might’s asking Aizawa why
well it’s obviously because he wants to give Shinsou a chance to complete his examination. and maybe he wants to see how the kids deal with this unexpected twist as well. so long as nobody gets hurt, why not
oh my god Aizawa
Tumblr media
this man is fighting to reclaim that top 10 spot. never give up. never surrender
so we’re cutting to panels of all 9 battlin’ kids, and he says all of them are still trying to win this battle
because fucking plus ultra, in other words
sob I should be more indignant shouldn’t I. has this school actually made me come around to their way of thinking
nah, it’s only because everything is clearly fine now. had this scene taken place even 90 seconds earlier I would have been all “WHAT ARE YOU DOING, OF COURSE YOU SHOULD STOP THEM”
lol what
Tumblr media
he just shows his affection in some very strange ways tbh
anyway so here we go! back to the kiddos! Deku and Shinsou are each holding onto Shinsou’s scarf and staring each other down!
and now Shinsou has GONE FISHIN’
Tumblr media Tumblr media
this is beyond hilarious to me. oh my god. Deku you could just let go
but I guess he thought he could out-muscle him. like if anything, he’d be the one pulling Shinsou down to where he is. but instead he’s falling off of the platform where he and Ochako were standing
and Ochako’s running over and she’s all “Deku lost...?! in a power struggle?!”
that makes it sound like Game of Thrones lmao
Deku’s glancing back up at her and says he can’t use his quirk right now because he’s worried about putting everyone in danger again
yeah, that’s probably a good call. at least until you get a handle on your emotions. even ol’ Hellboy was all “much as I love my awesome fucking quirk, it’s been powered up to here and back now so results may vary”
Ochako says that in that case they should retreat and regroup
lol how are you going to fucking retreat. this has already turned into a melee battle, they’ll just follow you
and Deku says that if they retreat now, they’ll lose
ah, good point
Tumblr media
this is their chance to capture him, when he’s exposed and his quirk which relies heavily on stealth and surprise has been neutralized
Ochako’s jogging over to him
oh my god
Tumblr media
IT’S THE BATTLE HE’S BEEN PREPARING FOR HIS ENTIRE LIFE
oh to see Katsuki’s reaction to this. sigh
oh. but Deku is dotting and he says “not exactly”
what are you up to you mysterious little chia pet
meanwhile ASHIDO MINA IS BEING A TOTAL BADASS AND I’M HERE FOR IT
Tumblr media
THIS ACID MAY STING! A BIT!!
(ETA: you know, I made fun at the time, but given all the other shit we’ve seen today, I have to give her credit for at least warning her opponents before attempting to maim them.)
and class B is just doing the same damn thing as before
Tumblr media
I’m surprised they’re not trying to go on offense. mind you, it shows that they have a lot of respect for Mina’s offense and they don’t feel like getting pummeled by acid this fine afternoon, which is understandable
oh shit but here we go
Tumblr media
MINA YOU BETTER DODGE THAT SHIT, SHOUDA’S QUIRK HAS A LOT OF POTENTIAL TO BE RIDICULOUSLY BROKEN IF HE USES IT RIGHT
...holy shit
Tumblr media
QUICK, LET’S ENJOY THIS BEFORE HE SOMEHOW RUINS IT. WHY CAN’T WE LIVE IN THE ALTERNATE UNIVERSE WHERE HORIKOSHI GAVE US A LOVABLE, FUNNY, AND COOL MINETA AND NOT THE HOT GARBAGE PERV THAT WE HAVE TO PUT UP WITH INSTEAD
good job Mineta. how many panels before you say something stupid to enrage us all again
oh shit I scrolled down to the rest of the page and SO FAR SO GOOD?! wow this is like a record
Tumblr media
Mineta did something smart and creative and swooped in to save a teammate and didn’t say or do anything perverted to ruin it?? better get me an umbrella cuz I suspect the other shoe will be dropping shortly
(ETA: 3... 2...)
aaaaaaaaaaaand the very first panel on the next page is him being smacked into Mina’s chest as a result of the twin impact, apparently just as planned
well so much for that. he made it a whole five panels though
hey, imagine if Horikoshi had written that scene and then not thrown in that last part in for absolutely no reason. imagine if Mineta was like that all the time. underestimated and mostly overlooked because of his mascot-like appearance and oddball quirk, but impressing us all with surprisingly clutch saves at crucial moments. kind of like the little niche that Aoyama has established for himself. it honestly wouldn’t be that hard to make Mineta an interesting and actually funny character, and the fact that we’re going on five years of the same old shit instead is kinda disheartening
anyways, enough mourning what could have been, I guess. in the meantime Mina is grabbing him and hurling him lmao
and he’s bouncing around like a ping pong ball and class B is trying to avoid getting hit by him
oh my god. he is the special attack
Tumblr media
ain’t nobody wanna get hit by that. that’s a smart move
Shouda says he wants to pull back, but they’re kind of surrounded now and it’s hard to come up with a plan in the spur of the moment
Tumblr media
all credit to Mina’s astounding creative mind, which has fucking flourished in these last couple of arcs and I hope it continues to do so. she is brilliant
Tsuburaba says Shouda is having to protect the other two because they’re weak at close-range combat? say what now?? how is a telekinesis quirk weak at close-range combat, exactly?? just float some metal shit into the air and wait for Mineta to inevitably ricochet into it and concuss himself and just like that you’re free to take on Mina three against one. even someone as awesome as her would struggle with that
meanwhile, Jirou is wondering why the hell the teachers haven’t stopped the battle yet
and here’s the first we’ve seen of Katsuki since The Thing happened, so yeah you bet I’m posting that shit
Tumblr media
he looks openly confused, and not in his normal “I don’t know what’s going on and that pisses me off so Imma make an angry face” way. but in a more overtly “what the fuck” way. not that dissimilar to the way he looked when he was watching All Might battle AFO, but with less panic, thankfully
it definitely says a lot about how far his relationship with Deku has come that this is his reaction, though. confusion and maybe slight concern, rather than anger or jealousy or automatically thinking this is something new Deku had up his sleeve that he was purposely hiding from him. he really has come such a long way since Ground Beta
anyway so here’s Deku and Ochako taking on Monoma
Tumblr media
at least someone is using that TK quirk. or is that twin impact that he’s using. well either way, at least he’s doing something and not just standing there
oh look more Monoma monologuing
Tumblr media
officially the most dramatic motherfucker who ever lived. but more importantly,
OH MY GOD HE’S GOING TO USE ONE FOR ALL LASKDFLKJSLKDJFLK DON’T DIE MONOMA
why he would attempt to use a quirk that he has seen breaking its original owner’s bones and only MOMENTS AGO causing its owner intense pain as he flailed around out of control is beyond me. he kind of snapped here and got all go big or go home, I guess
Tumblr media
Deku I assure you it very much can
now Ochako’s telling Monoma to stop and that it’s dangerous! and she’s charging toward him!
OH MY GOD
Tumblr media
HE WAS FUCKING BLUFFING?? HOW
AND OH MY GOD OCHAKO, I STAN YOU SO FUCKING HARD RIGHT NOW THOUGH. IS IT JUST ME OR ARE THE LADIES THE UNDISPUTED MVPS OF THIS FIGHT!? DEKU DOES SHE HAVE TO DO EVERYTHING HERSELF OR WHAT
wow what??
Tumblr media
so he was trying to activate it but it wouldn’t work?
well (1) he’s damn lucky it didn’t, and (2) is that because Deku’s technically quirkless? or is it because the nature of OFA makes it so it can’t be copied or passed on to anyone against the owner’s will? that is really convenient if so
(ETA: or (3) he did copy the quirk but not the accumulated power stored within it. oooh I have some thoughts on that. gonna try and take some time this evening to type out that OFA essay.)
Shinsou’s trying to save his partner, but!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
oh shit
he looks so caught off guard sob. Deku are you gonna punch him. please be gentle he is still new to this
Tumblr media
once again, I submit for your consideration: your MVP
you see Monoma, this is how you take a supposed “supporting character” quirk and elevate it to its max potential
so now Deku’s tackling Shinsou and they’re tumbling onto the ground
Shinsou’s making another attempt to get Deku to talk but our boy is too smart for that shit now. fool him once, shame on you. fool him twice, shame on him. but you still haven’t managed to fool him thrice so it looks like he can be taught!
Tumblr media
and Shinsou is again saying he’s not the same as when they last fought
ahhhhhhhh we’re cutting back to the teachers now ARE WE GONNA GET SOME SHINY MENTOR FEELS
YESSSSSSSSSSS
Tumblr media
HOWIRHFALSKDLFJL THE PONYTAIL LIVES, MY FRIENDS
oh my god oh my god
mentor feels! All Might you’re not the only one who’s been training kids out in the woods in the wee hours of the morning!
Aizawa is self-taught holy fucking shit this man’s talent is severely underrated
THE PONYTAIL. I NEED TO MENTION IT AGAIN FOR OBVIOUS REASONS
and I don’t think I’ve rambled about this yet, but! now we’re finally getting to see why Aizawa took such a personal interest in Shinsou, and I’ve been waiting and waiting for this and I’m so happy we’re finally getting to it. he sees himself in him. they both have powerful quirks capable of incapacitating even the strongest opponents, but the catch is that those quirks are mental rather than physical. physically they are essentially quirkless, and so if they ever get caught off-guard -- or pitted against giant robot opponents, or opponents who are otherwise immune to their abilities -- they’re at a huge disadvantage
so here’s this kid who’s very much like him, and Aizawa has no obligation to reach out to him, but he does so all the same, because he cares, and if he can help this kid fulfill his dreams and not have to stumble along and make it up as he goes the way he had to, isn’t that worth doing?
Aizawa Shouta let me just once again say that it’s a war crime that you were not ranked in the top ten, and I think we need to conduct a special investigation into these poll results. I’m only seeking justice and the truth
Tumblr media Tumblr media
OKAY BUT THIS IS SOME INDIRECT HIGH PRAISE FOR THE ENTIRETY OF CLASS “NOT A SINGLE ONE OF US WAS EXPELLED” 1-A THOUGH AND I CAN’T EVEN DEAL
AND THEN THE FLASHBACKS TO SHINSOU AFTER HIS FIRST BATTLE, AND BEING SO HARD ON HIMSELF. BECAUSE HE WANTS TO LIVE UP TO AIZAWA’S FAITH IN HIM. OH MY GOD I CAN’T, THIS IS SO GOOD THOUGH AND I’M EMOTIONALLY COMPROMISED
so now Shinsou’s shouting again that he’s not the same as he was back then!
and he’s using his capture weapon to bring a bunch of heavy pipes crashing on top of them!
BUT NOW DEKU IS HAVING SOME MENTOR FEELS OF HIS OWN OH GOODNESS
Tumblr media
;________; WHY DID THAT MAKE ME TEAR UP, SOMEBODY EXPLAIN
(ETA: I think because it’s a reminder that all of the past wielders of OFA are just as good and pure as All Might in their own ways, and they’ve all been working tirelessly to fight evil this whole time, and it’s like Deku doesn’t have just one mentor, but he has eight now.)
AAAAAHHHHHHHH
Tumblr media
LOOK AT HIM USING BLACKWHIP IN THE SAME MANNER AS THE CAPTURE SCARF WEAPON, THOUGH?? DID SHINSOU INSPIRE HIM
(ETA: of course he did. this is Deku, he takes and learns from everyone. I love it.)
AND JUST LOOK AT THIS FUNKY LITTLE SUCCESSOR LIVING UP TO THE FAITH THAT’S BEEN PLACED IN HIM
oh my god. what a damn chapter. this recap is almost 4000 words and it was worth it. I love this arc

Or Die Trying
Or Die Trying by perhapsanothertime
"Katsuki had always been the best, blessed with an amazing quirk, admired by his parents and teachers. Constantly praised and surrounded by classmates who admired him, or at the bare minimum respected him. Deku had followed him around no matter how many times he insulted or assaulted the damn nerd. It's because he was the best. Right?.. " Katsuki had always been told he was the best and that's what he expected from himself but after two years at UA, he has begun to finally crack in his third year. Midoriya is becoming more and more powerful as is the rest of his class. Bakugo has never thought of who he was if he wasn't the best. After that is stripped from him Katsuki losses all value in himself and attempts suicide. After the failed attempt he has to go home and figure out what impact his mother and father had on his behavior as well as why he thinks the way he does before returning to campus a quick two weeks later where he needs to save his relationship with Kirishima. There are heavy triggers in this fic including self-harm, attempted suicide, homophobia, self-deprecating thoughts, and descriptions of poor mental health

Give & Take | Chapter 5
Tumblr media
pairing: kacchako
genre: slowburn/fluff
words: 2.7k
summary: Ochako's grades are slipping. Bakugo is dangerously nearing suspension, or worse, expulsion. A certain twist of fate pairs them together for tutoring sessions. He teaches her math. She keeps him from getting suspended. A simple exchange, but what if this only brings them closer than necessary?

Chapter Four
Chapter Five: Happy?
It was weird seeing Bakugo in class the following week when he didn’t bother showing up to their second session last Friday.
The next day after their first session, Ochako had made a mental note to arrive 15 minutes earlier than the agreed upon time on their schedule, something about the image of Bakugo waiting for her, leaning against the doorway made her feel queasy. She made sure to bring two pens this time, the lingering thought of their fingers brushing past each other somehow made her feel more like she was going to hurl the whirlpool in her stomach into a glittery mess on the floor.
30 minutes pass and Bakugo is nowhere to be seen. That’s fine, it’s not really like him to show up on time, maybe he’s just running late. The 30 minutes that came after was when Ochako started to have second thoughts. Maybe it slipped his mind? It’s okay, we still have an hour to spare. The last hour goes by and Ochako is already out the door, her imagination had made the ground look like Bakugo with that smug look on his face and her angry footsteps were hellbent on stomping it off him.
Did her little stunt with the eraser manage to piss him off that much somehow? No, this is Bakugo we’re talking about here. If she actually wanted to piss him off, it would take more than a piece of rubber for her to do that. Her thinking led her to the possibility of Bakugo requesting Aizawa for another student to tutor, she was surprised by the slight squeeze in her chest that accompanied the thought. Would he?
Ochako slams her head onto her desk before her thoughts could go farther. Why should she care if he did? It just so happened that she needed a tutor and he needed a get out of jail free card at the same time, but it wasn’t exactly necessary for them to be what the other needed. He can do whatever he wants.
It was only after the voices around her come to a standstill when she realized that suddenly ramming her head on her desk wasn’t the best thing to do when her friends were standing a few feet away from her, “Are you okay, Ochako?” Tsuyu asks.
“Yeah, I’m fine! My hand just um...slipped.” Ochako should really stop zoning out into thoughts about Bakugo around her friends. If anything, she should stop thinking about Bakugo in general.
“Are you sure?” Iida checks, “Your head hit the table quite harshly, you might have a concussion!”
Ochako quickly shakes her head and waves her hands in front of her, “No! I’m okay, don’t worry.” She was about to add to Tsuyu’s topic prior to the sudden interruption her head had made, when Todoroki decided to shift the conversational spotlight onto her, “How was your tutoring session with Bakugo?”
“Good!” She replies almost instinctively, her voice pitching a bit too high for someone who was trying to convince everyone that she was telling the truth. She was though, telling the truth. Their first session had already shown significant results, though it technically only lasted an hour thanks to a certain someone’s silent treatment and the bickering that followed it. The only thing that could turn her remark into a lie was the fact that he didn’t show up the second time around.
Ochako notices the confused looks on her friends’ faces, probably because she answered in such lightning speed, “We, um, it went well.” She adds. Way to go describing it in perfect detail, Ochako.
Everyone seemed to be satisfied with her detailed explanation except for Tsuyu, “Bakugo?”
Ochako almost face-palms herself, but Iida didn’t need more reasons to have Recovery Girl assess her for possible concussions. She had completely forgotten that Tsuyu didn’t know about her situation with Bakugo yet, she hadn't exactly asked about it, let alone brought it up whenever they were hanging out in her room, so she never had the chance to tell her.
“Yeah,” she confirms, “he’s been tutoring me.”
“Since when?”
“Last week,” She doesn't know what came over her, but she decides to paint a better picture for them, “We had a hard time...cooperating at first, but after um--hashing it out, we eventually started to get things done and I feel like it’s helped me improve so far.” She intentionally leaves out the part about her outburst and the singular desk they shared during the whole ordeal, they don’t need to know about that.
Deku was in the middle of asking a question when they hear Bakugo’s booming voice from the other end of the classroom, “Fucking drop it already, dunce face.”
Instead of doing as he says, Kaminari slings an arm around Bakugo, “I don’t know Bakugo, you were in such a rush to bail on us last week, you didn’t even tell us where you were going!” He says tauntingly.
Two questions spring inside Ochako’s head, the first one being: If he were in such a hurry to go to the first one why not bother showing up the next day? And the second one being: So his friends never asked about his meeting with Aizawa? Or did he just not tell them about her?
“All of you can fuck right off.” Bakugo spits, forcefully shrugging off Kaminari’s arm, only for it to be replaced by Kirishima’s.
“Come on, man, why were you in such a hurry to leave us so soon?” He pouts, bringing his free hand to his chest to make it seem like it was wounded by Bakugo’s actions. Kirishima also hits Bakugo’s vicious glare with the full force of his puppy dog eyes.
Sero joins the party, placing his hands on top of Bakugo’s head for his chin to rest on, Ochako couldn’t help but be amazed by the sheer bravery these three had,“You hiding something from us?” He teases, grinning at Bakugo from above.
Bakugo looked like he was three seconds away from exploding, “Another word and I beat all three of you to the fucking ground.” He growls behind gritted teeth.
Just when she thought those three were fearless, Mina approaches the lot with a devilish smile twisted on her lips, “I heard Bakugo was with a certain lady.” She points out in a sing-song voice, elongating the last syllable of her sentence.
A chorus of gasps and howls, the latter mostly coming from Kirishima, fill the room and Ochako doesn’t know if her face grew two shades pinker or just got completely devoid of all color at the implication Mina was trying to push. Sure, he was with her, a lady, during that time, but it wasn’t anything like what she was making it out to be. Bakugo and her? Please.
“I don’t have time for this shit.” Bakugo lifts himself from his seat but the three thorns on his side were quick enough to block his way. Kirishima stands in the forefront of the three-man barrier and even hardens himself in the event that Bakugo does stay true to his word, which was to, and she quotes, beat all three of them to the ground.
“No way we’re letting you go when you’ve been out here bailing on us to fool around with this lady you’ve never mentioned before,” Kirishima says as a matter-of-factly.
“You three fuckwipes have a deathwish or something?” Bakugo snarls. Ochako couldn’t agree more, these three were just asking for it.
“Nah,” Kirishima smirks, “Sero, tie him up.”
“You fucking assho--!” Sero gives Bakugo a little push back to his seat before trapping him in his chair with several layers of tape, “Tell us who she is or we ask Mina instead.” Kirishima threatens.
It’s almost a miracle that Bakugo’s chair doesn’t tip over from him trying to escape in order to accomplish the sentence he roars next, “I’ll fucking kill all of you!”
“Not talking, eh?” Kaminari’s arms rest on his hips as he turns to Kirishima, “What now, boss?”
“Mina who’s th--Woah!” Sero starts to ask, but it takes all the effort for him to successfully maintain his tapes’ hold on Bakugo from breaking, “Mina, who’s the girl?” Kirishima finishes for him as he turns to Mina, the dirty look on her face only growing more sinister by the second.
“Dont you fucking dare, raccoon eye s.” Bakugo hisses, still trying to pry himself off of Sero’s grasp.
“I don’t wanna expose anyone here so let’s just call her by the name of…” Mina pretends to think about it for a moment, only for a sickening smile to sneak its way onto her face, “OCHAKO URARAKA!”
Everyone's eyes were instantly on her except for Bakugo’s and she begins to wish for that concussion Iida was talking about not too long ago. She’d much rather be in the care of the school’s sweetheart of a nurse than to be in the presence of her classmates’ inquisitive stares and suggestive smiles. She’d follow Bakugo’s example of getting out of here as quick as possible, but it was too late for that. Instead, she hides behind the palms of her hands, hoping for either death or unconsciousness.
Bakugo’s aversion doesn’t go unnoticed by his friends, “So it is true!” Kaminari declares.
“Why don’t you come over here and find out, dunce face?” Bakugo breathes out, seething with malice, “Raccoon eyes already told you didn’t she? So there’s no need for me to be tied up now is there, flat face?” he turns to Sero, a menacing smile filled with homicidal intent twists in his lips.
Sero audibly gulps, “Uh, I don’t know about that, man, you look like you’re just about ready to tear us apart limb from limb.”
“FUCKING RIGHT I WI--” Another piece of tape slaps itself on Bakugo’s mouth.
“Wait! There’s more!” Mina hurriedly adds while jumping excitedly at the extra piece of gossip she’s been holding out on, “I heard from Hagakure, who heard from Jirou, who heard from Momo, who heard from Todoroki that he was also tutoring her! How adorable is that?”
Ochako instantly whips her head towards Todoroki’s direction at the mention of his name, she was already puzzled by the fact that this information had spread like wildfire in such a short period of time, but she never expected the root cause of it to be Todoroki.
Todoroki looked as shocked as Ochako was, it seemed that he was also hearing this for the first time, “She did?” He asks cluelessly.
Momo turns to him, “We were going over last week’s homework and you mentioned that Bakugo and Uraraka were probably doing the same thing during that time.” she explains as if she was teaching a toddler how to spell.
Todoroki stares at his desk for a moment before the memory of that conversation clicks in his head, “Oh.” He turns to face Ochako, “My apologies.”
Before anyone could react or say anything else, Mr. Aizawa enters the classroom. Everyone returns to their seats just in the nick of time. His attention immediately focuses on Bakugo, still very much tied to his chair, muffled profanities coming from the piece of tape still plastered on his mouth.
Mr. Aizawa sighs, “I’m not even going to ask.”
---
Ochako caught up with her friends in the hallway after class, her head still spinning from all the new lectures along with the entire gossip-fueled-dumpster-fire of an ordeal just a few hours ago. Her thoughts drift back to the two questions that had sprung inside her head a while ago, Why didn’t he tell them that this thing between them was mandatory? It’s not like he was the one who offered to tutor her, contrary to popular belief.
Judging by his behavior and overall reactions under the prying questions of his friends, she assumes that maybe Bakugo just wasn’t the kind of person who would open up to anybody so easily, even to his friends. He would have to tell them about his situation with his conduct and how close he was to getting suspended or even expelled if he were to say that their sessions were only pre-arranged and not voluntary. She didn’t think that Bakugo would like to be the center of everyone’s worry, or worse, pity.
Somehow, she understood where Bakugo was coming from. She was practically doing the same thing by hiding her father’s injury and part-time job from her friends for nearly the same reasons. With this understanding, she taps Todoroki on the shoulder, “Todoroki? Is it okay if you try to be careful next time and not mention the meeting with Aizawa to anyone else?”
She turns to Iida and Deku, “The same goes for both of you too.”
“I would like to apologize for my mistake once more,” Todoroki starts, “it was not my place to disclose that to Yaoyorozu.” he says with utmost sincerity.
“Of course, Midoriya and I will also keep that mind.” Iida adds.
“Why though? If you don’t mind me asking,” Deku interjects, “Is everything alright with Kacchan?”
“Yes, it’s just that,” Ochako tries her best to answer him without looking at him directly, “it’s not my place to say, but I think it’s important to just keep it to ourselves for now, okay?”
“Okay.” Deku says reassuringly. Her eyes meet his for a brief moment when she spots a familiar mop of blonde hair behind him, she turns to Iida, “Go ahead without me, I’ll catch up and meet you guys at the cafeteria.”
She swiftly walks past Deku, making her way towards Bakugo, “Bakugo!”
His head snaps back, piercing, red eyes locking her in place again, “What?” He barks. Guess she wasn’t the only one with that ordeal still on the back of their head. She stops right in front of him, suddenly forgetting what she was about to say, so she just blurts out the first thought from the top of her head, “Sorry about what happened a while ago.”
His eyebrows furrow, gaze still boring holes into her skull, “And what the hell are you apologizing for?”
“Well,” Her eyes avoid his gaze, “I should’ve said something back there.” She could have ended any sort of implication that the two of them were a thing had she only spoken up about it before it got out of hand.
He lifts an eyebrow, “Like what?”
“Well for starters, the fact that we aren't dating.” She points out.
“Tch, that’s pretty obvious.” Bakugou rolls his eyes, folding his arms over his chest.
“That’s not what they thought a while ago.” She retorts, folding her arms on her chest this time. She wasn’t about to let Bakugo intimidate her, two can play this game.
“Who cares what they think?” Bakugo spits, “If you want to tell them, then go right ahead, but if you’re just gonna waste my time bitching about something you can do yourself, I suggest you fucking beat it, round face.” His glare sends shivers down her spine, How is he so good at that?
Ochako sighs, “Nevermind,” then finally remembering the reason why she approached him in the first place, “I came here to talk about last Friday.”
“What about it?” He snaps.
She narrows her eyes at him, “You know what.”
“I just missed one day, round face, missed me already?” That smug look that she hated so much makes its way into his face again, the corner of his mouth twisting into a punchable grin.
She couldn’t roll her eyes far enough in response to that, “I sat there for two hours waiting for you.” She places both hands on her hips before she gives into the growing urge to punch him, “Where were you?”
“I don’t remember it being your business to know where I am and how I spend my time.” He retorts.
She throws her hands up in frustration, “It is my business since you’re the one who stood me up!” She instantly feels the eyes of the students passing by land on her. Ochako’s face flushes at how she phrased her words. She won’t be able to blame them if they thought that what they just saw was a couple in the middle of a heated argument and to make matters more suggestive, she adds, “It’s like you’re not even serious about this!”
Bakugo looks at her dead in the eyes when he says, “I am serious.”
An exasperated sigh escapes his lips as he raked his fingers through the blonde knotts of his hair, “If I tell you, will you leave me alone?”
“Try me.”
Bakugo’s eyes darted away as he spoke, “My mom was sick,” he began, his hand reaching for the back of his neck, “I went home to cook for the old hag.”
Ochako just stands there, feeling stupider with every passing second. A surge of guilt floods her as she imagined Bakugo taking care of his mother while she was at school, pretending that the floor was his face and before she could apologize, Bakugo interupts her, “And before your dumbass apologizes, she’s okay now.” He looks away once more, eyes focused on the ground as he turns away, “You got your answer, now scram.”
“Wait!” She catches his sleeve before he could get any farther.
Red eyes, blazing with burning inferno meet hers, “What now?!”
“Can I get your number?” She hastily asks.
The creases on his forehead disappear and the flickers of flame inside his eyes dim to a look of complete and utter confusion, “Two minutes ago, you said we weren’t dating.”
She immediately lets go of his sleeve, quickly shaking both hands in front of her, “No! Not like that ! It’s so we’d have some sort of way to let each other know when something like that comes up again!”
Bakugo studies her for a while, “What if I said no?”
Ochako’s face gawks at him, “You wouldn’t.” She regretted it the moment she said it when she saw the glint of competitiveness in his eyes. She should’ve known better than to tell Bakugo Katsuki what he could and couldn’t do.
He grins, “Watch me.”
Ochako missed the opportunity to grab onto his sleeve again as he disappeared into the sea of students beginning to flood the hallway. A knot forms in the pit of her stomach. An unpleasant, annoying, borderline infuriating knot with Bakugo’s name written all over it.
It’s not until she receives a text from an unknown number hours later, during her shift at work that this knot comes undone, sending a wave of relief flurry inside her veins and maybe just a few butterflies in her gut.
Unknown Number: Happy?
Another text follows immediately after.
Mina: GIRL BAKUGO JUST ASKED ME FOR YOUR NUMBER !!!!!!!

Embracing Memories ~ A TodoBaku soulmate AU
Chapter 7.
The two boys looked at each other, eyes wide, panting lightly. Snow around them piling up higher as the minutes ticked by.
“What was that, did we just?” Todoroki quickly looked around, making sure they were in the present. When he looked back at Bakugou he noticed the cut on his cheek. “Your cheek, you have the same cut as Adam.” Reaching out, he gently touched the wound, feeling a sudden pain in his ankle, he whimpered.
“I think you might’ve been right about this whole soulmate thing.” Bakugou flinched, closing his eyes as Todoroki touched his wound. “Are we feeling what they felt?” He stared at Todoroki as the boy shifted his weight. “Your ankle?” When he saw Todoroki nod he pulled him closer. “Just lean against me for now.”
Resting his chin on top of Todoroki’s shoulder, Bakugou closed his eyes trying to think back to what he saw, he was Adam, he felt all the movements, the touches, that fall. He winched thinking about it, that was quite the fall, Todoroki was even clumsy back then.
“David, I mean Midoriya was there too, he was my guard?” Scrunching up his nose, Todoroki buried his face into Bakugou’s neck. “I was a prince huh?” His eyes widened in realization “Wait! If we’re feeling their pain, does that mean?” Pulling away from Bakugou, Todoroki looked at the dorm building. “Midoriya’s hand….you slashed his hand.”
“I did no such thing, Adam did.” Bakugou scoffed, rolling his eyes. “Besides, the fucking nerd can take care of himself, he’s had worse injuries, don’t worry about him.” He looked down when he felt something wet against his cheek, he saw Todoroki suck on his own thumb. “Did you just….” Bakugou looked at the boy in amusement, lips twitching up into a smile.
Todoroki’s face turned red, quickly looking away mumbling about how they probably should go back inside, when he started to walk, Bakugou pulled him back, grinning.
“Wh-what? Why are you looking at me like that? That’s the same look Adam gave me before he left…” Todoroki’s blush darkened the more he looked at Bakugou. “Ca-can you let go?” Todoroki’s left side started smoking. ‘This isn’t fair, they both have the same effect on me, they really are the same person huh…’
“And risk losing you again? I don’t think so.” Bakugou enjoyed teasing Todoroki but the one who talked just now wasn’t him. Frowning, he looked around slowly, before looking back at Todoroki again. “That was Adam huh. Lose you again? What the hell happened to those two…”
Todoroki tugged on Bakugou’s jacket, eyeing something behind the blonde, he pushed against Bakugou’s shoulder to make him turn around, pointing with a shaky finger towards the two figures.
Before the blonde could even lay his eyes on what Todoroki was freaking out about, they were both knocked out by a strong wind, the two figures floated above them, looking down at them.
‘How did he even see us? Is he a wizard?’ The slightly shorter boy looked at Todoroki, his fingers hovering above his scar. ‘ They’re quite something, he really is just like you though, Charles.’ Chuckling Adam pulled away again, pulling Charles with him, disappearing into thin air.
Hours later, Bakugou shot up straight, screaming, his eyes frantically scanning the room he was in. His bedroom? Where was Todoroki!? Standing up quickly he stumbled towards the door, ripping it open.
“Can they stop that!?” He made his way over to Todoroki’s door. “Oi! Icy-hot, are you in there!?” When he didn’t get an answer, he raised his hand, ready to blast the door down. He would face the punishment of Aizawa later, he needed to find Todoroki.
“Bakugou! Bro, what are you doing!?” Kirishima ran over to the blonde, grabbing onto his arm. “Dude, you’re burning up, you should stay in bed.” Gently pulling Bakugou back to his room he continued talking. “We found both of you passed out in the snow, we first thought villains attacked you, but we didn’t see any footprints or any injuries on your body, aside from the cut on your cheek and Todoroki’s twisted ankle.”
Bakugou struggled against Kirishima’s grip, firing blast after blast against the red head. His need to find Todoroki getting stronger. His heart was hammering against his chest, the panic on his face was painfully obvious to the red head.
“Where the hell is Todoroki? Why aren’t you letting me go to him?” Bakugou glared at Kirishima, wondering why his friend was keeping him away from Todoroki after letting them go out. “Let go of me!” Pushing Kirishima away from him, he went back to his room to grab his phone, calling Todoroki.
Kirishima sighed, leaning against the closed door, looking at Bakugou. He had never seen Bakugou react like this, towards no one. Was Bakugou hiding something from him? He was so protective of Todoroki, so loving, it was weird seeing his friend like this, but Bakugou deserved to be happy.
“The fuck!? Ponytail!? Why do you have Todoroki’s phone!”? Bakugou was seething, grabbing his hoodie from his chair, he eyed Kirishima who quickly opened the door, obviously giving up. “You better fucking tell me where he is. Hah!? Why the hell is he in your room!?” He hung up before the girl could even finish her sentence, pulling the hoodie over his head.
“I’m sorry man, Aizawa gave us orders. I mean, this isn’t the first time we find both of you passed out…” Kirishima quickly hardened his arms, holding them up as Bakugou whirled around. “I’m sorry!”
“Orders!? Keeping us apart!? Who the fuck does that old man think he is?” Bakugou continued walking, a wicked grin on his face. “No one can keep me away from him, not again. They can try but they won’t fucking succeed!”
“I apologize Todoroki.” Momo looked down, feeling ashamed. “It wasn’t my intention to keep you here, Aizawa asked me to look after you. Bakugou called you while you were in the bathroom, I think he’s on his way here.”
“It’s not your fault Yaoyorozu. There are things happening and we’re trying to figure out what exactly. Thank you for wrapping up my ankle.” Smiling softly, he bowed slightly. “I do think I will have to talk to Aizawa though, I have the feeling everyone is blaming Bakugou.”
“He is quite temperamental but he is like a completely different person when you’re with him.” Looking up, Momo tapped her cheek. “Do you have a charming quirk Todoroki?” She was curious as she had only seen him use his quirk once.
“Eh, no?” Todoroki chuckled, holding up both his hands. “My quirk is fire and ice.” He watched as her eyes widened in amazement as he activated his quirk slightly. “It can be quite bothersome at times.” He rubbed his neck sheepishly.
“I think your quirk is wonderful!” She smiled brightly. “As for Aizawa, I will talk with the rest of our class, we’ll keep an eye out on you guys and make sure he won’t keep you two apart anymore, I think it’s cruel for him to do so, no matter what the reason might be.”
Todoroki bowed, about to thank her when the door burst open, he quickly stood back up straight, ready to scold whoever it was when he felt the air knocked out of his lungs.
“There you are, my love! Fucking hell where have you been!?” Bakugou tightened his arms around Todoroki’s body, his hand running through two toned hair, whispering in his ear. “I’m going to fucking kill that bastard.” Bakugou’s body was trembling, not noticing the tears running down his face.
“Ba-bakugou….” Todoroki lifted his hands, fingers curling into the fabric of Bakugou’s hoodie, burying his face into Bakugou’s neck, his face flushed when he realized what Bakugou called him. “Please, calm down, ok? Can you do that for me?” Peeking over Bakugou’s shoulder, he saw Momo and Kirishima leave the room. “I’m right here, I’m not going anywhere.”
Arriving in the common room, Momo looked around for Ochako, gently pulling Kirishima with her as she spotted the brown haired girl with Midoriya.
“Ochako, I think I know what is going on with Bakugou and Todoroki.” Momo sat down across from the pair, looking down at Midoriya’s injured hand. “And by the look on Midoriya’s face I think you do as well.” She nodded at the boy.
“I’m not really sure, Yaoyorozu, what I saw was strange, I couldn’t recognize them for a second.” Shaking his head, Midoriya lifted his hand. “Everything felt familiar though. Their faces, my surroundings, my emotions, it felt like I was in some sort of deja-vu.”
“Soulmates, Bakugou and Todoroki are soulmates, this is why they’re so drawn to each other.” Ochako blankly stared down at her hands. “I want to be happy for them, really, but isn’t this dangerous? This is the second time both have passed out. What if this happens when we’re fighting with villains?”
Leaning back against the couch, Kirishima crossed his arms, his eyes locked on the green haired boy in front of him.
“So Midoriya is also part of their past lives?” Kirishima frowned, wondering. “Do you know why you reacted that way Midoriya? You never get so angry, you almost hurt Todoroki.” Kirishima hated the look on Midoriya’s face, moving quickly, he crouched down in front of him, gently covering his hands with his own. “I’m not mad at you, I’m just worried. Uraraka is right, this is dangerous.”
Midoriya hung his head as Kirishima mentioned the incident from earlier, he never intended to hurt Todoroki, he liked to think he and the dual haired boy started being friends. He jerked his injured hand as he felt something against it, lifting his head he was met with bright red eyes, his face flushing.
“With their feelings so strong, their hearts and the hearts of their past lives might be connected.” Mina joined them on the couch, leaning against Ochako. “I’ve been watching them since Todoroki acted so weird around Bakugou on his first day. There is a possibility that they, whoever they were in their past lives, are showing them what happened.” Turning her head, she looked out of the window. “And they might not have had the easiest lives. Betrayal, loss maybe even their death.”
The room suddenly felt too quiet, Kirishima squeezed Midoriya’s uninjured hand while Momo felt like her heart was being ripped out of her chest, she covered her mouth.
“And we’ve been keeping them apart whenever Aizawa asked us. That is so cruel. It’s not surprising Bakugou acts the way he does when it concerns Todoroki” Momo stood up. “I’m going to check up on them, I left them in my room. I think we all need to know what exactly is going on.”  She left the common room, making her way to her bedroom.
“I don’t care what he will do or what he says, I’m not leaving your side.” Todoroki brushed Bakugou’s hair back, watching the blonde sleep. “I belong to you, I have always belonged to you, they can’t break us apart.” Laying his head on Bakugou’s chest, he fell asleep as soon as he closed his eyes, not hearing the door open or the soft voice calling his name.
He needed to see them again.

My name is Eijirou Kirishima, and I’m a twenty-four-year-old university student. I’m studying chemical engineering as well as working part time at a ramen shop, owned by my now good friend Taishirou Toyomitsu. He’s the chef and also my manager, as well as being the person that taught me everything I know about cooking.
I see him as my mentor, and I wish to someday repay him for all he’s taught me and for how kind he’s been to me.
Working at the shop is great, I really enjoy it. The pay could be better, but I know Taishirou is struggling, so I really can’t ask for more from him. He’s already done so many things for me… I’ve got to now do my best to help him out. Plus, the atmosphere in the place and serving the customers is the absolute best. My heart swells whenever a client smiles back at me, and that’s how I know I’ve done a good job.
There’s just one little thing that I would change.
Every day, at roughly the same hour, there’s this very attractive man with spiky blond hair that passes by, but never comes in.
And like the idiot that I am, I feel myself drawn to him more and more each day.
There’s just something about him.
I can’t really understand what it is.
But it’s not like I can just walk up to him and ask him out. That would be weird.
It’s okay anyway because I hope to graduate soon and then I can get another job and move on with my life.
Hopefully that way I can forget the blond god. Or maybe, once I graduate, I can casually walk by one day and cross paths with him and ask him out.
Yeah. Simple enough. Great plan.
And that’s why I’m trying so hard to pass all of my exams. I want to finish soon so I can advance in life.
Today’s Friday, and the shop’s busier. A lot of people have come in to have lunch and I’ve got more work than normal. Even so, I still notice when the blond man walks by, and it lifts my mood.
I should stop thinking about him. It’s not like I know him or anything about him. I can’t possibly have a crush on someone I’ve never met. No matter how special he may seem to be. Despite my best attempts to not think about him, I end up imagining a thousand scenarios in my head - and we end up together in all of them.
Well, at least it makes me feel like my shift goes by quicker.
After work I look at my phone, just like I do every single day. There are a million messages from my best friend Denki - as usual - but I’ll look at them when I get home.
It’s just a five-minute walk from the ramen shop to my place. My apartment is in a peaceful little side street, away from the noise. It’s cosy and small, with an entryway that leads to a living room, a kitchen to the right of the entryway, and a bathroom and bedroom on opposite sides of the living room.
Once I’ve taken my shoes off and I’ve settled down at home, I get my phone out to reply to Denki.
He’s been my best friend since we were twelve years old. We met in school and immediately bonded. I like that he’s so easy-going and fun to be around. He’s a good laugh and can not only take a joke but also make fun of himself.
He was never the best student or the smartest person alive, but I wasn’t either, so we had that in common. He was funny and loved practical jokes and was always there for me – in fact, he still is. He seems like a wishy-washy sort of person, but I know he’s the best friend I could have, and the one I need.
I laugh out loud at some of his messages, opening a few links and chuckling at the silly memes he sent me. But I pause when I read his last one, in which he asks me if I want to go out tonight.
Should I? My thumbs hover over my phone’s screen as I debate what to reply to him. I could go out with him, just for a short while, or I could be responsible and stay at home to do some much needed studying. I’ve got a few exams coming up, and I also need to hand in some homework next week.
Go to chapter 2 if you want to go out with Denki
Go to chapter 3 if you decide to stay at home and study
