OK first of all I'm sorry it took me so long to get to this, it's been literal months lol

I'd be happy to infodump about it, and I finally have time!!!

Putting it under the cut just in case this gets really long lol

So I got the idea for this AU because of a fanart I saw on pinterest. It seemed to be concept art for a Broppy au with the pairing trope of kindergarten teacher × single parent, with Poppy as the teacher, obviously, since that's canon, and Branch as the single parent. I couldn't tell who the kid under Branch's arm was, and assumed it was an OC (I later figured out it was probably Keith from the TV show).

But this made me think about how I would do such an AU, because I like to try and avoid using OCs in fanfiction, especially for any major role in the story. It's just more fun to think about which canon characters, no matter how minor, could fill the roles I need.

Anyway, somehow I came to the conclusion that I would take one of the main cast from the first movie and de-age them. At first I considered Biggie for some reason, but then I realized that Cooper already has a very childlike personality, so he's easier to imagine as a child... and then I recalled his backstory that was revealed in the second movie...

See, Cooper's egg fell from the sky and landed amongst the pop trolls, and I get the distinct impression that this was after the escape from the Troll Tree, both because of the forest-looking background in the flashback, and just sorta from the way Cooper tells the story. And since the first movie takes place on the twentieth anniversary of their escape from the Bergens, this means that Cooper is less than 20 years old, and is therefore a teenager in the first movie. Which honestly makes so much sense for how he acts.

I also headcanon that he as ADHD, though. With the way he frequently seems to space out and miss parts of conversations, or just doesn't follow along with what someone said, the way he makes weird connections between what's going on and something random... and he's pretty easily distracted... as someone who actually has ADHD, it seems pretty obvious once I thought to look for it! And I will be writing this headcanon into my comic.

I might as well get into the little bit of plot I've got for the movies, though it's just vague ideas, really.

For the first movie, I'm actually not certain what I'm gonna do... should Cooper be one of the ones taken or not? It would make Branch way more fired up to go get them back, and just generally more emotional and snappy throughout the whole thing, but on the other hand I've still gotta get through how actually raising Cooper changes Branch... like, technically the point of this is to force him to interact with Poppy more prior to canon events because she's Cooper's teacher lol. So idk about the first movie.

But the second one! Branch is either more or less paranoid and I'm not sure which is better lol, but he'll be a lot more prepared before leaving with Poppy on her impulsive quest, because he's gotta make sure his son is taken care of while he's gone. Cooper is only 5 and obviously isn't gonna come with them, that'd be stupid!!! ...unfortunately for Branch, Cooper listened in on the meeting, and snuck out of bed to follow his dad, heard him talking to Poppy, and since he both doesn't want his dad to leave him (trauma from the first movie????) and wants to find out where he came from... Cooper sneaks onto the balloon lol. Biggie might not even come with them, idk. Or maybe I'd have DJ Suki come with just cuz I like her and it's a shame she wasn't in the second and third movies. Idk.

Anyway this means I get to draw baby Prince D as well!!! Cooper doesn't get to the funk trolls before Branch and Poppy because he's traveling with them! The King and Queen haven't been searching for as long as in canon, and oooo boy there's gonna be drama lol. Because technically the funk trolls have a right to keep Cooper??? And Cooper isn't an adult or mostly-adult who can make his own decisions about where to live??? I mean, at the time, Cooper and D are just excited to meet each other. And there's a rock apocalypse to stop. And Cooper wasn't supposed to be along in the first place because this quest is no place for a small child.

Anyway yeah, the second movie is gonna be so fun to write with an adhd five year old along for the ride lol.

Third movie, Cooper might not even be in it, or he might take the place of Tiny, idk yet. I think I'm leaning more towards Cooper staying with the funk trolls for the duration of the movie events as some sort of split custody thing so Cooper can get to know his twin and bio parents??? But. This means that Bruce is not the only Brozone member to have become a dad during the split. ;3

And I think it'd be so funny if Branch and Poppy don't mention Cooper, or at least don't refer to him as Branch's son, until they get to Vacay Island, and Bruce mentions how becoming a father really changed him, and Branch can say something like, yeah, I know what you mean. And John Dory gets a double shock because what???? Spru– Bruce is a father??? And SO IS BRANCH???? WHAT??? Hahahahahaha!!!! It's gonna be hilarious >:3

Anyway, cue Branch and Bruce gushing over their kids, Branch showing photos of Cooper, someone asking if/implying that Cooper is Branch and Poppy's kid, the silly flustered denials because they may be dating but they are NOT ready to have that talk yet lol (it's an understandable assumption tho bc Poppy and Cooper are a similar shade of pink and Cooper does have that bright blue hair and at this point Branch and Poppy are obviously together so???)

OK so that was in fact a long rant as I expected, hope you enjoyed, and thanks for the ask!! I won't be working on the comic until after Christmas because it's gift-making time and I have. Two months. To make at least 6 presents. Aaahhh.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhh @worlds-tallest-fairy you've activated me, and have joined @tragedycoded in asking a simple question and getting an essay long infodump for your troubles! 😁 I offer you a great many thoughts about Doctor Nicholas Rush, below the cut because LONG LONG LONG

I've always thought of him as demisexual for sure. I can't for the life of me remember where I wrote it (the ADHD makes everything blur together: stuff I've actually written, stuff I've only talked about, stuff I've read, stuff I've daydreamed; so I never know where my headcanons come from >.<) but I do distinctly remember writing Rush telling Young that Gloria was the only woman he's ever slept with. Young's response was something like: "I bet she really liked that", in typical Young fashion completely missing the point!

I've seen him also classed as demiromantic, but I like to lean towards the Love At First Sight trope for him when it comes to Gloria. There must be a specific label for people who experience romantic attraction but only very very rarely, right? Personally I think that would be a good fit for him, and he'd still fall under the aromantic umbrella.

I don't think he has a gender preference for either sexual or romantic encounters. Intelligence and the ability to engage with someone on an intellectual level are far more important factors for him. Was 'sapiosexual/romantic' deemed to be a problematic term? I can't remember, but as a descriptor I feel it works for him. He wouldn't be able to form a connection with someone if they couldn't meet him stroke for stroke mentally. A friend once said that the way he banters with Young is verbal sparing as a love language and they couldn't have been more right!

As for other headcanons, I agree with the popular ones of him being autistic and that he was abused as a child, though for the latter the general use I see is that it was his father who was the abusive one, while I think it's much more interesting if it was his mother. There would be an extra layer of shame there due to society's views on gender and how gender roles/stereotypes are "supposed" to work.

As for my own headcanons… I think he worked on the docks in Glasgow when he was a boy, as back then it would be the easiest way he'd be able to get honest work, and Glasgow as a costal city would have had a booming fishing trade. In the 450k fic I wrote during lockdown, I have this interaction between Rush and Telford (excerpt starts halfway through a scene - Gloria's still alive when Telford recruits Rush and he's driven them to her doctor's appointment. Him and Rush are in the waiting room. Link near the start is to another excerpt which explains the eel thought.)

Telford sat and Rush began to pace. There was a slight ache in his wrists which he presumed was from recoil and it helped ground him as he made laps of the room. The fish were still there; he counted them this time: seven. He hoped the tank was large enough for seven. He knew that fish required more space than was obvious. He could feel Telford’s eyes on him, but didn’t have anything particular to say to him so didn’t turn around. He watched the fish swim to and fro and thought about how different their movements were to that of the Goa’uld. Maybe if he watched eels, like Telford had said, he would see similarities. He wondered if intelligence factored into the way you moved, or whether it was instinctual. What was the most intelligent fish? He knew dolphins were smart. He had the impression that seahorses were too but wasn’t sure where he’d received that piece of information. Were seahorses fish? He supposed they must be. When he pictured fish he didn’t think of seahorses or dolphins or these small pretty things in front of him. He thought of solid and grey and gasping. They were always so fucking cold.

“So,” Telford said from just behind his shoulder. Rush jumped because the state of the room hadn’t had Telford in that position a second ago. A long awkward moment passed where it was obvious that Telford had noticed and it was equally as obvious that he was resisting the urge to say something about it, maybe out of respect of where they were or from a fear that if he said the wrong thing Rush would snap apart. “I’m watching the fish,” Rush said tightly. “You like fish?” Telford asked, sounding careful but almost drifting into boredom despite himself. Rush hooked a hand over his shoulder in an ineffectual attempt to create some sort of barrier between them. “Not particularly.” “You said you knew how to spear fish.” Rush thought this was a strange thing to say. He looked around. He couldn’t see any way to access the tank and nothing that could be fashioned into a spear. He felt if he said that then Telford might produce a spear out of his back pocket in typical absurd fashion. “I don’t think they’d approve of us killing these fish,” he said instead. Telford laughed and the sound relaxed something in him Rush couldn’t put a name to. “It’s not exactly a common talent.” It took a moment for Rush to realise that Telford was asking him a question, and maybe complimenting him at the same time. He knew that normally he would shy away from sharing personal information, even if that information didn’t seem technically relevant. But this wasn’t a normal place; he didn’t like doctors or waiting rooms, and he didn’t like fish either. Suddenly he didn’t want to be looking at them anymore, so he turned his back and lent against the glass, transferring his focus to Telford. “I worked on fishing boats when I was a kid,” he said, trying to resist the urge to throw up. He couldn’t decide whether the genuine interest in Telford’s eyes was calming or disturbing. “It was an applicable skillset.” Telford watched him for a few seconds, and then spoke quietly, “I only learned to swim when I was fourteen.” This, Rush thought, was an incredibly pertinent slice of data. It narrowed the possible places Telford could have grown up considerably. Maybe somewhere within this desert’s radius? Rush didn’t know how many deserts there were in America. He knew there were Great Lakes somewhere but couldn’t have pointed them out on a map even if there was a gun to his head. But it still took huge swaths of the country out of the equation: no coastline, nowhere near lakes or large rivers and a great many places had those things. Give me a map, Rush thought, and I’ll show you where you could have come from.

He smiled. “I can’t imagine you being fourteen.” Telford ducked his head and grinned. He looked very charming like that. Rush imagined a fourteen year old Telford flailing about in a pool and found it very amusing. Telford spoke softly, looking up through his eyelashes, “Tell me how to spear fish.” Rush didn’t have the faintest clue how David managed to make that sound flirtatious. What a preposterous idea: to bond in any way over the killing of another creature. Have you ever tortured anyone? Have you ever killed an alien? So what, he was a hypocrite? He didn’t give a shit. “You have to stand very still,” he said. He was holding eye contact and it felt as if he wasn’t able to drag himself away. “If you move they’ll know what you’re doing. You can’t let them know you.” Telford shifted his weight so he was leaning into Rush’s space. The glass at Rush’s back felt very unforgiving as far as any attempt at retreat was concerned. “You’re talking about doing it by hand?” Telford’s voice was quiet and impressed and Rush wanted more of it desperately.

“Yeah.” He lifted his hand and made a spear-stabbing motion. Telford definitely looked appreciative now. “I thought you meant with a spear gun.” Rush shook his head, feeling a little like he was the one underwater instead of the fish behind him. “The fishermen didn’t have that kind of money. We used spears and nets.” Telford’s eyes flicked down over Rush, almost quick enough to miss. “You gut them too?” “Yeah.” The word almost stuck in his throat. He could remember the blood coming from the fishs’ gills after they were cut and how it always seemed like such a small amount of blood to possess. Rush had always thought that fish should be larger than they were, and therefore have more blood. He assumed the idea had come from a childish mind. “I bet you’d look good with a knife.” Rush came back from the visions of blood to find Telford very close, one hand resting on the glass next to Rush’s head. He didn’t want to do this here. It didn’t fit. It wasn’t exact. It didn’t make sense in the context he’d been given. Telford moved and there was a hand drifting gently up and down Rush’s arm. Rush shifted away. “Nick?”

Rush wrapped his arms around himself, as if somehow that would make a difference. “I’m sorry.” He’d entered into something he couldn’t finish. Why did he have to lead people on like this? What did he think was going to happen when he started talking about killing things? He knew what David was like. Why couldn’t he think of these things ahead of time? Why did he always do this? “I feel very guilty right now.” At least that was the truth, even if Telford would draw a different conclusion than what the reality actually was. Rush’s face felt hot at the blatant weakness he was showing. “You shouldn’t feel guilty,” Telford said slowly. “You’re not doing anything.” He was right, Rush tried to grasp. Telford was the one who was leaning forward, invading his space. Rush was just standing here. He wasn’t doing anything. He couldn’t quite convince himself. He let out a self-deprecating, scornful laugh. “You think mere action affects guilt.”

“If thoughts were a crime I think we’d have bigger problems.” Telford very deliberately placed his hand back on Rush’s arm, left it there a few long moments, and then withdrew entirely, taking a few steps to the side and leaning against the glass himself. Rush watched him watch the fish. He didn’t seem angry about the sudden change of direction. If Rush had been in his place, he would have. He would have felt hard done by. He didn’t want Telford to think he wasn’t up to this. He would have continued their conversation if they’d been elsewhere, just not here.

So he's a strong swimmer (though it would depend on if he kept up with it in California as to how strong, as the muscles you use for swimming will get weaker if unused just like any other muscle), and an apt catcher-of-fish. It always annoys me when we have the Young-and-Rush-stranded-on-a-planet-together trope and Rush proves himself to have negative points in his Survival Stat. Not only because of the spear-fishing thing, but also because he grew up in poverty - he would have had to steal and learn certain skills to be able to survive. He definitely wouldn't be useless! Hell, another headcanon is his criminal activity history which I'll get to in a second, but I bet he could rig up some snares as well, from sneaking onto the posh estates' land for rabbits and the like.

Now, crime!

Not too long ago I did a felony bingo tag game for pre-canon Rush, and I came to the conclusion that Rush as a kid had shit going on. He had a lot of run-ins with the police, starting from when he was 8 and acting as an early warner for street dealers, to waiting until rich people went on holiday and robbing their houses, to his discovery that he rather enjoys setting things on fire! 😈 I couldn't quite manage to get a bingo sadly, but I'm interested to know what you think?

As for Gloria, Rush was terrified of meeting her parents because her family were rich and therefore he assumed they'd hate him. Her parents however turned out to be the sweetest people. Her brother was the twerp.

That made Gloria's lips twitch in amusement. Despite her not liking him fighting she did value his strength. Rush could still clearly recall the look of restrained glee on her face when he had punched her brother in the nose, the man having spoken down to him once too often.

I also remember writing a bit in the 450k lockdown fic where Rush tells Telford about hitting Gloria's brother and how from the expression on his face it was the first time he'd been hit in his entire life, and the two of them having a Masculine Bonding Moment™ over it, but I can't find it in the mess that is my filing system (multiple stories in one document with no way of finding specific pieces unless I can remember the exact wording for CTRL+F 💀)

I think he's also got some ADHD going on, though it's undiagnosed the same as the autism. Technically there is free healthcare in the UK, but only at what I would call the 'point of sale'. You can go to a general practitioner and be prescribed meds (unless they're specialised medications which can only be prescribed by a specialist - stimulant ADHD meds being one example - and then you have to go on a looooong waiting list), but you still very much have to pay for the prescriptions. It's obviously cheaper than in the US, but having just looked at my prescription list, if I didn't have a prescription prepayment certificate - which is £114.50 a year - I would instead be paying £1,306.80 a year, which would be impossible to maintain. Fairly, I'm on quite a few meds, but Rush's parents - being the shits they are - wouldn't want to even try to fork out a fraction of that, never mind drive him to any appointments. And after he'd got away from them, he wouldn't try to get diagnosed because of the idea that asking for help = weakness that's been drilled into him.

He's obviously got problems with authority, and I think it's worse when it comes specifically from other men. He's gentle with Chloe in a way he would never be if she were a man. I think this stems from suffering extreme bullying from other men for his entire life, due to the way he looks, speaks, etc. Men like Young who think they're automatically better than him because they're more masculine… Well, I'll have to do a separate post to infodump about Young, but Rush has met a lot of men like him who instantly dismiss him as weak or in need of protection or not up to the task of Being A Man because he's small and has long hair and glasses and isn't performing masculinity correctly. This could tie into the headcanon I've seen going around the last few years of him being a trans man - there are a lot of really interesting discussions going on in the trans community about masculinity, the demand of a performance of it, and the societal consequences for perceived failure that I really relate to. Before people started writing trans Rush I'd deliberately avoided reading anything in any fandom (or indeed media in general) that depicted trans people, due to the fear of transphobia cropping up. I get enough of that irl - I didn't want to accidently stumble across it in my downtime, you know? Thankfully that hasn't happened in the SGU fandom, but I still wouldn't venture into other fandoms to read trans stuff and I also don't know if I'd want to write it myself.

But coming back from that tangent, this attitude he's been received with his whole life informs the way he is now with men like Young: impatient, dismissive, defensive; because he knows the doubt in his abilities is coming, and he's sick and tired of trying to prove himself to people who make snap judgements about him. For example when Young makes the truly absurd leap that Rush knew Destiny would recharge fine in the sun and let them launch the shuttle with a ton of a supplies on it anyway, Rush doesn't even try to defend himself. He's thinking 'what's the point? Why should I put in an imbalanced amount of emotional labour to convince people I'm innocent when there'll just be something else to mistrust me over tomorrow, whether I'm guilty or not?' He keeps secrets like the bridge because he's so used to having to make himself indispensable, otherwise people will discard him at the first opportunity.

I do find it really interesting that he 100% doesn't expect physical violence from Young. When Young tells him he knows about the whole framing-for-murder thing, Rush approaches him without fear. I could even go so far as to say it's a bad acting choice because 1. Rush knows men like Young are violent due to past experience and 2. Young's body language is clearly predicting violence: stepping back when Rush approaches so that they're on level ground and squaring his body straight on. Rush should recognise shit like that! But when Young punches him, there's explicit shock on Rush's face. I want to come up with an explanation for why he doesn't expect violence from an angry wronged military man. What do you think?

What other headcanons do I got… He's good at Domming, not only the main event but the pre and post requirements as well. He has a phobia-like reaction to dealing with his finances due to growing up poor, so Gloria handled everything to do with money. He baits people because he knows they'll hate/hit/etc him soon anyway, so he gets ahead of it and says/does things that make people hate/hit him and that way he's still the one in control. He is super self-sabotaging.

YOU WANT ME TO TALK ABT MY HEADCANONS??!?? FR??? I’LL BE GLAD TO!!!! I already made a post about my infodump of Gregory and Christophe headcanons, but I have some extras that I haven’t posted / recently developed! (Make sure to click the "keep reading" to see all of it)

Gregory HATES theater kids, and he doesn't exactly know why. Maybe it was cause they're full of overly dramatic, ignorant, self absorbed people? (At least in his school and previous experiences) Maybe it's the overly cheesy performances that he likes to scoff at and gets second hand embarrassment... thinking that they don't do as good as the professional musicals and is an insult to them. But anyways, there is one acceptation to why he still attends at watching school plays, and it's cause Christophe IS a theater kid! Gregory thinks that Christophe is the only theater kid he actually respects, cause his performances are more better than others (even if it's overly dramatic sometimes) and he pin points tone and body language almost perfectly. Gregory will rant about how all the other theater kids should be more like him and how Christophe is carrying the success of school plays.

Fun fact I based off of my interpretation of Gregory's personality and nature mostly the same as Peppermint Patty from Peanuts. I just feel like Patty fits how I see Gregory..

I like to think that Gregory's the type to make full on callouts on someone's bullshit by somehow getting evidence of it and throwing it all over their faces, insult them, clowns on them, and then making them cry if they deserve it.

Christophe really loves how fluffy, soft, and curly Gregory's hair is, he's almost jealous of it. But at the same time he doesn't want to properly take care of his hair cause it's too much work and it doesn't matter to him. So instead he likes to walk up to Gregory and ruffles his hair for a bit getting it all messy (which Gregory finds it fun) just to appreciate how nice his hair feels

Whenever it rains, Gregory will literally come over to Christophe's house just to ask if they can play in the rain and dance in it together :] and then have mud fights

Gregory has hand sensory issues, his hands are very picky on textures to the point where it bothers him extremely. This is why he wears gloves! But he has an issue with them where sometimes they get too warm, or if he doesn't need them at that time, he takes it off. Which is my excuse to why in the movie, Gregory's gloves randomly disappear

Christophe does keep small animals as pets, lizards, ducks, frogs, mice, etc.. but an incident happened where Gregory's snakes ate a bunch of the smaller animals Christophe has, and another time where the snakes ate Pocket's rabbits when petsitting them... this is why Christophe is terrified and hates snakes. Gregory deeply regrets that and tried his best to not let that happen again 😭

Ok, now that I got those extras out of the way.. I have some Gary headcanons! Cause I love him and I've been wanting to talk about my headcanons for him for a while

Gary has dyslexia, which in his case fucking sucks! Gary has a passion for reading, and literature in general, so having dyslexia is the worst combination ever while having that hobby, but he tries! (This is coming from an dyslexic person who also likes literature

Speaking of books, Gary has a really big interest in Warrior Cats... I don't know how this thought happened, I just feel like it would be funny

Gary's also obsessed with things relating to stars, or just space in general. He's also a little inpatient and doesn't wait to give an answer about those topics (This is in relation to the episode where he appears in, where he straight up didn't wait to be called to give an answer on the rocket landing question and he just full on yells it out)

Gary loves Hawaiian Pizza.. he doesn't understand why people hate it so much lol

Gary also has a habit of not getting jokes, the punchline flies right over his head unless they're blunt. But he just laughs along even though he fully doesn't get it and just goes along to be friendly

Since Gregory is Gary's cousin, they hang out a bunch. Christophe, Gary, and Gregory is like their own little mini friend group! And since Gary sticks around with Gregory a bunch, sometimes he picks up Gregory's accent and it will randomly show, in which he will immediately correct himself

Gary and Stan are dating in my headcanon ofc, but Gregory and Stan have a huge rivalry going on... Gary gets stuck in the middle of it cause Stan is his boyfriend while Gregory is his cousin, it's a constant back and forth between trying to keep both sides from mauling each other.. poor Gary :[

Hello! If you're still doing them, could I please get a Baldur's Gate 3 matchup? I'm bedridden right now from joint pain and need a pick-me-up, but if they're closed feel free to ignore this.

Sexuality: Any gender is fine. I might slightly prefer a man but if you think a girl would fit better don't let that stop you ☺️

Appearance: I am a 4’ 10” (147 cm) tall fem-aligned person with long wavy auburn hair, glasses and a fashion sense that varies widely from masc to fem. I'm almost never seen without my compression braces on because I have pretty terrible joint pain, so I've got compression socks, knee braces, shorts for hip pain, gloves for finger joint pain and am generally carrying quite a lot of medical equipment on me at all times lol. That being said, I try to work out when I can so I am getting pretty muscular and enjoy impressing people with my muscles because nobody really expects it.

MBTI: INFJ-T

Personality: I'm a very kind, friendly person but I still have a bit of fiery energy. I'm very passionate and will stand up and verbally smackdown anyone if I feel it's deserved, though generally I'm quite polite. I know tons of random trivia because I research and take notes obsessively. I have autism so the main way I communicate is by infodumping, and I can get easily thrown off in conversation when someone says something I don't expect. I love debating people respectfully, but I really do try to be very nice and as helpful as I possibly can be. I also kind of struggle to ask for help when I need it because I get embarrassed. Plus I am a very stubborn person in general. But most of all I'm very dedicated to self improvement and always strive to be a better version of myself.

Wyll is a gentleman with you, always seeking to get to know you and respect the newfound leader.

He was a lone wolf for so long that now, having a crew of friends and someone he holds near and dear is a fresh summer's breath for him.

He is afraid of Mizora, though. Not that she would hurt him; she wouldn't get anything out of that. He fears the restrictions, rules, and stipulations she would put on him if he sought you out.

Due to this, Wyll tried so hard to keep you at arm's length, only letting you know small fragments of him.

When Mizor made her debut, he felt better about his chances with you. He knew having someone as kind, understanding, and warm as you by his side was just what he needed.

Wyll courted you properly, asking if you would like to explore romance with him, go on small dates, and even take a dance lesson here and there.

No matter how badly he wanted to kiss you, though, he kept refraining until you asked him.

Once you two were past courting and officially together, he made it a point to get explicit permission from Mizora to tell you about Avernus and the Demons who inhabited the other planes.

He may have had to do a shady thing or two to earn this privilege, but it was worth seeing your eyes light up when sharing this limited knowledge.

When freed of the illithid, he would happily give up galivanting across the sword coast to settle down with you. He would only leave because Mizora asked him for assistance.

Wyll watched you flourish as a shopkeeper for books and magical resources, things only your humble shop could attain because of Wyll's Connections and adventures.

If you ever had a tough day or became bedridden, Wyll would drop everything to assist you. He would be your personal nurse. He'd even call Halsin or Shadowheart to help if he was worried about his lack of skill.

It was a cold day in Faerun; snow had just coated the land and would soon fall again. You were seated in the foyer of your new home, watching the outdoors grow colder. You, however, were quite warm. A hand-knitted blanket was wrapped around you, and a warm fur pelt Mizora gifted you adorned your shoulders. Wyll was by the fire, tending to it. Today was tough for your body; everything was sore and hurting. Wyll did everything he could to help, even utilizing the books and notes Shadowheart and Halsin left for him.

As soon as the warmth was at its peak in the home, Wyll kissed you atop your head and made his way to the kitchen. He would prepare a meal for you two and ensure you had some sustenance. While still staring out at the beautiful white blanket of snow, the thought occurred to you that you were the fearless leader of the band that killed the neatherbrain. The illithid gave you an extraordinary gift of no more pain for the price of being turned. To think you almost took that risk but instead knew your humanity was far more a gift. Plus, you would have lost all the amazing friends you made.

Now, by your partner's side, you were even more confident in your choices because you wouldn't have him. Wyll returned some food and assisted you when you needed it. Once satisfied, you two decide some more rest would do you both well. Wyll had just returned a day or two ago from a grueling task from Mizora. Wyll gently picked you up and walked you back to your room. He knew just as well as you that you could take care of yourself, as you have done this time and time before, but his help was always so warm and appreciated. Once in bed, Wyll curled in behind you, holding you close. With one final kiss on your head, you both fell into a simple slumber. You might feel well enough to build a snowman when you wake.

That's a great question... Personally I think the Indiana Jones films could be improved 1000% if Dedusmuln were the main character instead! Maybe the 3rd film could focus on them and Smuldunde with the character dynamics of Indie & his dad lol

12 - What's a headcanon you have for this character?

My greatest headcanon is that they're autistic. They have a particular special interest in ancient artifacts, and while normally they don't talk much to strangers they'll INSTANTLY open up and start infodumping if that subject is even brought up once! I also like to think that they'll sometimes use Foam Armor on themselves not just for the healing properties, but because it's just a very satisfying stim <3

21 - If you're a fic writer and have written for this character, what's your favorite thing to do when you're writing for this character? What's something you don't like?

You're asking me the right questions! My favorite thing about writing Dedusmuln is how I weave the strangeness of Hylics vocabulary into their sentences, since if you've noticed I do it more heavily for them compared the other characters (besides maybe Dracula). There's been several times I reread a line I wrote for them and find myself laughing in delight with how hilariously extravagant yet earnest I've made them sound.

One that particularly gets me is one of their first lines in the opening of Outcasts in an Overcast:

“You got a nice melody goin’ on there, Dedus," Somsnosa said, "Is that from a song?”

“From an instrumental, actually. It is the ‘Joyful Platinum of the Sun Larvae’ movement from Ecdysis of Life Beings Suite No. I.," Dedusmuln cheerfully replied, "Oh how I covet the way its organs scream the image of dramatic life into my encephalon, and how the wandering theremin’s wails strum my memories with the innocent passions of youth! Really the whole piece is just so- ahhh!”

This is basically how I would talk if I were in the world of Hylics XD

Ok so to start off I wanna give a bit of my interpretation of the order they all joined the band in(silly headcanon)

The obvious is Teeth and Floyd were first, but I think maybe like one night while they were in a crummy motel or staying at a rented place for a bit is when Animal was dropped off with Floyd. Next I think Janice joined, like I've said on my rp blog, she was a waitress and watched them play a small show and immediately felt like she had to join. So she quit her job and did so. Then Zoot, again going off the rp blog, he was found on the side of a diner trying to get a bit of money. Lastly, of course, Lips joined. I like to think still he was introduced via the Muppet show. At first he was just supposed to be one of the guys in the orchestra, but the band liked him(I plan on writing a fic about him officially joining) and asked him to join.

My next topic would probably be moreso what I plan to do with Floyd's parents in my writing of season 2.(Serious headcanon)

I was originally going to be a bit more extreme with this, but given some of my other plans, I'd rather save that for a possible season 3 if I get there. I still wanna introduce his family though. A lot of it is projecting my issues onto him, of course my family issues aren't nearly as bad as the ones I gave him, but y'know, there's some projection within this.(Note; the projection is the favouritism my parents show, nothing else really)

Floyd's parents are overly militaristic. Made him enlist, was the reason he stayed for so long, y'know. But he never cared for it. He knew his destiny was music all along, that's why after he was fed up with it, he got himself discharged. Afterwards he cut mostly all contact except for with his sister. I imagine his sister is a tech kid and was the only one to show interest in military, hence her being much more The Favourite Child. The only reason he ever did still contact her was she never bullied and belittled him as bad as their parents did. He was fully pushed to cut contact with his sister the night he got Animal. He knew if he told her, his parents would get involved and possibly take Animal from him, and he wanted nothing to do with that.

3rd topic time! I wanna discuss Zoot's weird powers. I know it could just be Regular Muppet Bullshit but shut up I wanna talk about it in depth.(Silly Headcanon)

So I mostly have boiled it down to around 3 options. Godhood, Alien, or learned magic as a kid. The 3rd option is prob the least likely imo, I already have full backstory planned for Zoot, it wouldn't fit much. Although the other 2 seem a whole lot cooler. Alien would be interesting because that'd be two camera using blue muppets played by the same guy who just so happen to be aliens of some sort. I also like the thought of godhood. Imagine a god who had their memory completely wiped and got sent to earth. He knows nothing and just learns how to play sax and joins a band after much struggle to get accustomed to living in the mortal world.(By struggle I absolutely will discuss that in the backstory)(Prob not today but you'll get it in mayhem season 2) It would probably be the best option to explain some of this stuff, like I imagine him accidentally gifting his shoe with life and just going along with it. Would the other gods ever come to get him? Maybe but they think he's doing fine down there.

I would prefer a male character! (Despite that, I am an ace lesbian. I just wanna indulge my comphet fictional crushes iykwim + i prefer more of the male cast in hazbin. I totally understand if you'd prefer to match me up with a female character) I use she/they pronouns.

A few personality traits of mine would be hardworking, clumsy, compassionate, and playful. I am a workaholic, and often work myself to the bone. Ironically, to others, I try my best to ensure they don't overwork themselves. I'm a bit of a people pleaser to the point where I jeopardize my mental health, but I'm working on it. I'm decently good at appearing mature and socially adept (if a bit anxious) when around strangers, but around those close to me, I admit I am a bit of a baby, being playful.

I have ADHD, a Depressive Disorder, and strongly believe I have Autism. Some jokes, sarcasm, and flirting goes iver my head, but if I notice, I do like to play along. I like cutesy pastel colored clothing in a sort of streetwear style. Like, cargo pants are great but I also love cute skirts. I'm an artist and a gamer. I like to animate and am working towards developing video games! My love language is definitely physical touch and quality time. Hugs are important to me. I like being close to people I care about, even if we're not doing the same thing. Parallel play is peak to me.

My music taste swings around wildly. I've always been a sucker for vocaloid and musical theatre songs. Lately, I've been listening to Epic The Musical and Calliope Mori. I love to sing and play the violin, so any music that I can vibe to, I like. I like plushies quite a bit, even though it's childish. My sense of humor is nonsensical even to me. I laugh a lot, basically, from dark jokes to antihumor.

I'm unsure of my demon form, to be honest. I'd probably have something to do with video games or art, and my favourite animals are small round birds (like the white-browed tit-warbler), jellyfish, and frogs. Feel free to describe my sinner form however you want! (I am short though)

If you're coming from TCW/Rebels/Mando to SWTOR and expecting similar lore, the Mandalorian lore they're using in the game is actually a little different. SWTOR predates the Disney canon reset, so it operates on the old EU/Legends lore that Filoni built on for the TV side of things a while after the game started. And while it added a lot to the history, it's never really 'updated' itself to the current canon version of Mandalorian culture, just taken bits and pieces here and there starting from 7.0 onwards' storyline, and that's a ways out from where you are in the game.

But to answer some of your other questions: them calling the Mand'alor Mandalore is more or less the Basic version of the title, and it's what they add an honorific to. The Mandalore from the Bounty Hunter storyline is Mandalore the Vindicated. If you're heading to Taris you're about to learn a smidge more backstory for him and the game's Mando lore in general, but you get adopted into Mandalore's clan, Clan Lok. I don't know why they never really specified it until... I think the Knights of the Fallen Empire expansion? in passing dialogue with the Mand'alor? It's weird. Anyway. The house system (and the Protectors) is something Filoni created for Rebels a good 6/7 years after SWTOR's base game launched, so they don't use the house system or the Protectors, it's just the clans.

There's absolutely no reason not to headcanon an amalgamation of the Legends/canon lore as you play if you want, though, that's what I do! I didn't mean to infodump and sorry if this came off as condescending or anything, truly just wanted to help!

Haha I figured it was something like that. I saw something that said they don't really change voiced lines in the game. I was going to add something about just how much the fandom had changed in the perception of Mando'ade. A lot of the fanfic writers I follow got pretty into Mandalorian stuff in the Prequel trilogy era (even ones I followed from different fandoms haha), so I'm pretty used to that.

I've gone through the smuggler's storyline up to finishing knights of the fallen empire, so I'd met Torian Cadera. When I saw him while I did the right of passage to get introduced to the black list people, I was sure he was going to be my companion.

Even without that though, it feels janky? Like, me accepting becoming Mandalorians and then not being told anything about the culture or maybe getting like an intro book made it feel very gang like.

On them calling the Mand'alor Mandalore, I get that it's the basic version, but the way they use it is what feels weird. Like for one thing, they sprinkle in a bunch of other Mando'a (another trip pronunciation wise - I wonder if they hadn't settled that yet), so having them use the Basic word feels weird. But it's fine, we're talking in Basic and it doesn't really matter. What I felt was weirder was the fact that they use like a name. You don't go around calling kings "King", it's "King Such-and-such". You can use a style without the name - like "your majesty" or "your highness" - but just the title itself not really? Like, they don't even regularly call him "Mandalore the Vindicated", it's always just Mandalore. Which is weird.

in the au, he's an actor/host of a kid's show and you learn that he did a charity photoshoot with "the neurodivergent youth project" (made up resource program) and he's generally knowledgeable about neurodivergency since he works with all sorts of kids because i just wanted to establish that he's a generally supportive/understanding person, but then you look at some of the traits I gave him and it's just like !!!

he's always stimming and he describes his thoughts as 'bubbling over', which results in him rambling a lot, especially when specific topics like his show or his favorite things come up. he develops a habit of repeating things other people say, and there's also a whole conversation in chapter five of the fic where he explains how he relies on routines and detailed plans.

the best part is that mickey doesn't question these traits and is supportive of all of it, which shocks ian because there are very few others in his life that don't find some of it annoying. and as he gets to know mickey, these specific traits become more evident. accidental unmasking allegory ig??

i know that there is more to autism and that it shows in other ways but i just think it's funny I did this mostly on accident. i inserted a moment in chapter five where it's established that these traits 'landed Ian in a doctor's office at the age of seventeen', so I might use that to build up a subplot where it's eventually revealed that he was diagnosed in his late teen years

Okay, this headcanon is not super fleshed out, honestly? I've had it for like a year but have I developed it at all beyond slapping a label on him? No.

It also started... as a joke? I'm sure I'll bring the post back eventually but I've made the joke that no cis person goes by "Mouse" for 10+ years many times. And I stand by it. It's true. I'm non-binary and it was a silly throwaway joke I made I think just to Kit and a few IRL friends don't come for me but like... I've just adopted that headcanon now. It's part of my personal belief system.

Because "Mouse" started out as a silly nickname, something that Jay definitely continued to call him when they came home, and then he just... liked it. I think canon kind of confirmed that for me last year? Because Jay does not still use "Ricochet" at all, and was openly uncomfortable when Knox used it, but Mouse is exclusively "Mouse" with a few exceptions:

When Jay introduces him to Voight in 2x16, it's "this is Greg Gerwitz, aka Mouse"

In 3x03 when he's being held hostage by Fraser, he introduces himself with "I'm Greg Gerwitz, but everybody calls me Mouse"

And in 4x05 when he and Jay are arguing, and that is the only time when Jay pulls out the first name, when he's terrified of losing his friend, and it's just "Greg, it's a war"

Non-binary!Mouse headcanon aside, he picked that name. He chose it over "Greg" and whatever reason he has for that is valid. Whether it's because he's trying to further distance himself from his parents (this blog remains an anti-Gregory and Thelma place at all times) or because he never liked "Greg" much to begin with (which is fair, I only know one Greg IRL and he's chill but like... he's my uncle and he taught me how to drive of course I like him) or he just got attached to his found family when he was deployed and keeping the name helped him feel close to them even after he was back in Chicago. Whatever it is, good for him.

(I'm also not generally a pro-Voight person but he is slowly growing on me ten seasons into this stupid show and the fact that he never once deadnames Mouse, even when he's frustrated and angry in 4x05, definitely wins him some points in my book tbh. good job, Hank)

(honestly the fact that no one deadnames him once, at least that we saw, is so important to me actually. I also disregard most of the writing around Mouse in s4 because it was messy but "Greg, it's a war" does hold a special place in my heart so Jay's not on thin ice for that I actually think he should do it more but that's just me and my love of angst)

But just... he's not Greg. He's Mouse. He was never "Greg," not really, not since he met Jay, at least, but the fact that he doesn't change his pronouns is just because... he doesn't feel like he needs to? Even if/when he puts a(nother) label on his identity? I'm trying to think of how to explain the feeling with words because it's hard, but...

It's just gotten to the point where "Greg" just feels wrong. That's not who he is. But the use of he/him pronouns has never made him uncomfortable. @sillyarbiterdragon basically a lot of folks in the HTTYD books fandom see Hiccup as being Asexual and/or aromantic and/or gay, because he's never expressed attraction towards a woman or girl, and the star-struck-ness he had with Humongously Hotshot the Hero could be read as being a celebrity crush-type deal. Possibly also Alvin in his poor-but-honest-farmer era, but I don't remember enough to know for sure (Maybe Thuggory the meathead as well? But I don't know if that's a real memory or one implanted into my by the Hiccup/Thuggory shippers).

One thing for certain is that Cowell never outright tells or unambiguously shows us Hiccup experiencing attraction like she tells and shows Fishlegs experiencing attraction or (in the wizards of once and which way to anywhere) Wish, Bodkin, Tor, Encanzo, Sychorax, the sentient key, the sentient cutlery, Horizabel, or Theo experiencing attraction.

This fact, along with the fact that many of the HTTYD fans on tumblr are some shade of Pride Flag (including myself ♠🅰) has made the tumblr fandom start headcanoning hiccup as gay and/or aro and/or ace.

Also the Asexual community has sorta co-opted dragons to be a symbol of asexuality.

There's also a lot of folks with autism in the tumblr fandom, and they started seeing themselves in Hiccup as well. His special interest is dragons (possibly also languages?) and he canonically infodumps about them.

There's a lot of trans and non-binary folks in the tumblr fandom who see themselves in Hiccup as well.The main argument I've seen is that He doesn't comply very well with Viking concepts of masculinity, either physically or behaviorally.

As for Soldier Poet King, please take a listen to this wonderful song and try not to associate it with Camicazi, Fishlegs, and Hiccup respectively. It's impossible.

They are literally a soldier a poet and a king. This is canon. Yes the song is about Jesus but it's also about Them. I have literally begged people to argue against their soldier-poet-king-ness and the one person who replied said that they only voted against them because they did not know who they were.

So if, after you've listened to the song, you don't think Camicazi, Fishlegs, and Hiccup fit the bill for Soldier-poet-king, please let me know and tell me why.

[Warning: Longpost rant/infodump on an obscure background Encanto character I made as a sim for my Encanto save file in the Sims 4]

Apologies in advance, this post is very chaotic with little to no flow or tact LMAO I just wanted to get it out of my brain

Okay so I'm trying to make Osvaldo and his possible family in the Sims 4. I've already finished making him and three children I kind of headcanon to be his, which I'll get to later.

I know it's not exactly picture perfect but it's what I could do within the limits of the Sims 4 lmao

ANYWAY everyone hating Osvaldo as a character is NOT helping my quest to find reference screencaps of him at random points he’s in the movie. I want to find a woman/man he stands around with more than once to give him children in the Sims 4 damn it lmao

In this situation I would usually just make him a single father. But idk he just has a vibe that he would have a significant other, to me anyway, so I'd like to give him one lol. I've also already made Señor Flores (the priest) a single father, I may make another post showing him and his children once I finish that.

Alright, about the three village kids I headcanon to be his. One of them is the “If I were you, I would be really sad” girl, then Cecelia, then a boy that’s off to the side that I saw wearing a black-and-white hat that I don’t know the name of. If anybody knows what it’s called pls let me know.

With all of the village kids (not just "his") I assigned them brothers and sisters in accordance to the village kids' color schemes in relation to the three main village kids in the Family Madrigal number.

My family tree is going like this, with each color in the image below representing the child being a part of a separate family than the others, and being in the same family as the ones with the same color.

In yellow- Señor Osvaldo's children

In green- Señor Flores' children

In red- Señora Pezmuerto and Jose's children

Now if I really wanted to make it accurate to the children, ideally if this were a mother/father situation the mother would wear orange/yellow and have blonde hair. Really, the main reason that I grouped those specific children with Osvaldo is because the girl in the hat is just as blunt as he is, and she's wearing yellow and orange, and so are those other two children. But it could be just as possible that Osvaldo adopted these children as a trio, since they're biological siblings, and that would explain why they don't look like him. I'll talk about my reasoning for the others in a separate post if I make one.

All I need is just one person that appears close by to Osvaldo more than once in the movie and I will immediately ship them. That is ALL I want.

(ideally they would look to be around his age and wear yellow/orange but that's just my neurodivergent brain making up rules that don't actually exist-)

Am I looking too deeply into this? Maybe. Do I care? Slightly. Will I pursue this until I find someone for him? Probably.

R - Rainbow - What colors do you associate with them and why?

Mostly earthy tones because that's his color palette. Shades of brown, sand color, black, and the hellfire orange of his eyes.

A - Art - Do they draw or paint? What about any other kind of art? What's their favorite style/subject/another artist who inspires them?

He's not really interested in art but he does sometimes take a moment to look at the natural beauty of the desert when he's got the time. And when nobody who's gonna try and call him a sissy for looking at flowers or the sunset is around.

T - Teach - What skills of theirs would they teach you? What would you teach them?

First thing that comes to mind is marksmanship but honestly I know I'd be too spooked to learn. But hey, maybe he could give me encouragement and all that and I wouldn't be so freaked out. I don't know if I have anything to teach him, unless infodumping about cool animal facts counts

L - Language - What's their love language? What's yours?

I haven't really thought about what my love language is. I mean, I know I really like cuddling and get clingy when I feel lovey. Maybe also just going "hey I saw this and it made me think of you". Jake I think is definitely a cuddler too when it comes to loved ones and he's very much a pet-names and sweet lil words kind of guy I think. Also the type to threaten the hell out of anyone who crosses me.

E - Emotion - Is your f/o open with their feelings or do they keep them close to their chest?

Jake is definitely not open with his feelings. He's got a reputation to uphold and can't have folks thinking he's soft. Usually the most emotion I'll get out of him is when he's alone with me (that's prime snuggle bug time) or if something spooks him (ie; a hawk).

S - Story - If you and them were in a fairytale, which story would you be and who would play which character?

So when it comes to fairytale connection with Jake I always think of the Princess and the Frog. Kiss a rattlesnake and he turns into a dashing outlaw. Or kiss a rattlesnake and turn into a desert critter also, if we're going on the Disney version. My Rango s/i is a jackalope but if I were to literally translate myself into the universe I'd be a horned lizard I think. Same species as Waffles who is like. My favorite posse character. Priscilla's my other favorite secondary character (and we would have totally adopted her if I weren't like 100% positive Rango and Beans already have custody of her after the credits roll). Anyway I forsee Jake as a handsome outlaw who gets cursed into the form of a rattlesnake and in trying to break the curse with a kiss, I get turned into a horned lizard and then we both have to figure out how to undo the curse.

N - Nostalgia - What's your f/o's favorite memory?

Running with his old gang from his younger days. Six-Prong Lucy the jackalope, Quillface the bobcat, Pancho the scorpion, and Red Felicity the vampire bat.

In his snake form, I kiss him on the snout or forehead. In naga form I like to kiss him on the cheek. In either form he can give me snake kisses, which is just flicking his tongue against my cheek or nose. They tickle a little 🤗

Idk if bandoliers count or the rattle-gun prosthetic he wears. In naga form I could see him wearing one of those rattlesnake-shaped leather and brass belts I've seen on Etsy. Not that he needs one because nagas don't have legs so they can't wear pants, but that would make it purely ornamental as in jewelry. There's also what looks to be a ring of barbed wire on his hat.

N - I'm gonna be sweet and say the first time we watched a horror movie together. I was hyped because it was one of my favorites and he was just admiring the smile I get when I'm enjoying something I love.

S - I'm actually not sure about this one. Maybe like an evil Cinderella, since his story with my s/i Carmilla is kind of a rags-to-riches story in the manner of being taken from mundane daily life to the fantastical life of a supervillain.

Oh boy, here we go again. XD

I bring you a brief scenario:

Tech and Medic are out and making conversation with others (maybe some acquaintances from swing dancing or something like that- or maybe even other mercs), and somewhere in the exchange Medic lets out this long but subtle chuckle, and Tech's face just visibly warms up with soft smile and a swooning stare. Whoever they're talking to can clearly see she's enamored with him.

Similarly, @ens-hellhole, whom I've talked to very often about this ship, recently gave me a quick headcanon: whenever Tech makes this one particular smile at him, this sweet, shy, blushy smile, Medic absolutely loses it inside. Just, any time they're having a good time together and she looks up at him with one of those sweet smiles, it "makes him feel a lil warm and fuzzy inside".

You wanna know another observation she made about them? There is no honeymoon phase with them. And it's true! They're just like that, just enamored by default. I mean, sure they have their disagreements and spats now and then, who doesn't? But their hearts are fully devoted to each other. Sometimes it looks kinda silly to an outsider, cuz it's sorta like they still have crushes on each other after marriage, but they're both happy with it.
