Tw sexual themes mentions of child abuse mentions of murder
"Remember Maxie instincts are a powerful thing, even on land you cannot escape them."
"You'll never be human you idiot."
"Humans are food not something you should desire to be."
"You're the weakest here."
"You deserve every punishment."
"You were the mistake of mating season"
"Follow orders like your older siblings."
"You need to be punished."
Maxie gasps as he jolts upright in his bed
The red head fumbled for his morning coffee that nightmare, well more like memories he hasn't had in such a long time. He sighs mixing in a red liquid to his coffee and drinks. Human blood wasn't hard to get and it helped keep his instincts from going nuts because he was hungry. He sighs shaking his head of memories he didn't want to remember.
"Hey Maxie I thought you were going to sleep in, it's our day off, and Steven keeps telling you to rest more so then your former admins." Archie chuckles placing his hand on Maxie's shoulder.
Macie sighs, Archie did worry about him, they were still new to the whole dating thing so they were taking it slow. "Bad dreams Archie didn't want to return to it."
Archie frowns a look of concern in his eyes. "Was it about that day." He trails off referring to the day they both summoned two titans to destroy the world.
"Actually no, just old memories of family." Maxie frowns sipping his coffee.
Archie slightly taken aback. "You had bad parents?"
Maxie froze forgetting that he was never really open with his past to Archie even now that they were together. He sighs letting his guard down. "My siblings were kind my parents however were not you've seen my scars Archie they were from the many punishments I received from them."
"That's horrible Maxie."
"Its been a long time since I've seen them so don't fret that much."
"Is that why you're iffy around my folks."
"Yeah..." Maxie sighs one secret down the next he wasn't ready to face let alone tell Archie.
"Shit sorry"
"Not your fault Archie, besides I like your family."
"Right good so uh did you put your iron stuff in the whole coffee pot?"
Maxie chuckles. "No Archie just my cup I know better then to repeat that."
"Good because your supplements medication or whatever you put in your drink is horrible."
"To you."
"To everyone Maxie."
Maxie chuckles feeling better talking to Archie.
......
"I swear Archie something is up with Maxie." Shelly frowns sharing lunch with Archie on there break.
"I would normally disagree, but he has been awfully clingy lately and a but er forceful in other ways." Archie sighs a light dusting of red on his cheeks.
"Is he hurting you? Archie I swear I'll kill him."
Archie slightly stunned. "No no no not at all, actually it's the opposite besides the bedroom. He has been giving me gifts and little trinkets for the past week, and he has been singing whenever we are alone just to me. Weirdest part is that I keep catching Maxie lingering by the beach."
"Shit Archie that lava nerd hates the ocean. Do you think he might be getting sick because his behavior is weirder then normal."
"I don't know Shelly, he'll everytime I try to ask he gets weirdly embarrassed and runs off."
"That rock head is being weirder then normal uh has the bite mark he gave you gone away yet?"
Archie frowns and shakes his head. "It turned black and the doctors said it wasn't infected."
"That can't be good."
"I don't know Maxie keeps getting embarrassed or mad at himself whenever I bring it up. I think he might be harming himself over it but I'm fine with it, and I keep trying to tell him that."
"I can ask Courtney to help get Maxie to the doctor."
"I want to try to help first."
"I get it but if Maxie is being self destructive again he needs more help then you can give."
"I know amd I never want him to go down that path again."
"Just be careful and keep that nerd safe I hate to say it but he is good for you."
Archie nods throwing out his trash. "Yeah I'll tell you if something changes."
......
"Leader Maxie." Courtney's deadpan robotic tone nearly made Maxie jump out of his skin.
"What is it." Maxie snapped then sighs rubbing his temples he needed to reel in his temper, I was smack in the middle of mating season and he already marked Archie, and they were going at it like buneray but it wasn't what he needed. He knew he needed to claim Archie in the water to complete the bind as mates and his instincts were drinving him up the wall as he kept denying the action.
"My apologies for bothering you but we are growing concerned with your recent behavior."
Maxie freezes rubbing his temples. "Have I been that bad?"
"We are concerned for your mental health."
"I'm fine Courtney I promise." He pauses and scowls. "Don't argue with me I just have some personal issues to sort through."
She frowns and watches Maxie leave. Something was wrong and she needed to figure out what.
.....
Archie was playing with his sharpedo on the beach when Maxie approached him. "Good job Bruce you are such a good boy."
Maxie glares and unconsciously growls getting Archie's attetion.
"Maxie what are you doing all the way out here I thought your admins made sure you got some bed rest. We are just worried about you I know you don't like being locked-" Archie's words are cut off as Maxie forces him into a deep kiss.
Archie pushes him away. "Maxie what has gotten into you? Shit I'm calling the doc-" again Archie is cut off when he hears Maxie begin to sing but it was different it was as if his body was reacting to the song and his body was yelling get into the water and let him finish the bond. Archie blacked out after that.
~~
Maxie woke up and he felt like he was floating then he realized he was in the water. A weight was on top of him as he drifted in the ocean. Then it clicked it was Archie sleeping on top of him as he floated on the waves. "Fuck " he cursed waking up Archie.
Archie woke up wet sunburned and his ass was so sore, also where were his clothes and why was he drifting in the middle of the ocean. Panic started to bubble up in his chest as he was gripped from behind unable to struggle out of the grasp.
"Archie relax I can explain."
"Maxie? Fuck this has to be a dream."
"Archie relax please I'll get us back to shore."
Archie breaths eventually evened out as Maxie began to explain as they made the long trip back and turns out Bruce was with them the entire time and Archie decided riding on him was better then Maxie.
"Maxie I'm sorry."
"Stop it's my fault I forced you to mate, and I didn't even stop and ask if it was OK I just sang and I used you."
"Maxie stop I would of agreed regardless I love you."
Maxie sinks deeper to hide his face before resurfacing and splashing Archie.
Archie laughs feeling the tension leave. "Wait is that why you were acting weird?"
"It was mating season amd I was courting you."
"Is that what the gifts were, and the bite mark was a marking?"
"Y-yeah."
"And the constant sex?"
"Yeah sorry."
"I mean I'm not I found out I was a bottom and a size queen I feel no shame in learning new things about myself."
Maxie huffs frustrated. "Why aren't you mad at me, I lied to you about what I am, I used you, I bonded and mated you without explaining or asking for permission."
Archie sighs. "I was more worried you were hurting yourself again, and it turned out like this so I'm more relived then anything, slightly annoyed because I'm dating a damn ironic bastard who is a sea creature I used to have fantasies about."
"You're disgusting." Maxie tries to cover up his blush as they continue making Archie laugh.
"You know you love me, and now you're stuck with me."
"I know that doesn't mean I can't get annoyed with you."
They devolved into some nice banter as they reach the shore until Archie breaks it asking a simple question.
"So this is a one time thing right? You bonded and mated me so you're good right?"
Maxie watches Archie go back on land picking up his discarded clothes. "Not exactly."
"What?"
"Next year I might knock you up." He says quickly enough Archie almost doesn't catch it.
"What? Maxie last time I checked I am a man and that's impossible."
"Last time I checked I'm a siren and sirens during mating season biology for humans doesn't matter.... I mean well " he frowns trying to find the right words. "You'll develop the parts if it takes and they will vanish once you have the kids."
Archie stays quiet and Maxie frowns flinching and biting his tongue.
"I can be a dad, we don't have to adopt?"
Maxie slightly taken aback. "Well I mean you could but I won't force you not like this."
"No Maxie I always wanted a family of my own and he'll with our history nobody in there right mind would let two criminals adopt or foster a child. But I can still be a dad " Archie rushes back into the waves and grabs Maxie's hands. "We can be dads."
Maxie can feel himself pur and go red at the same time. "Archie relax I want to get my instincts in check, and I don't need you making a fuss over this."
"You purr this day keeps getting better doesn't it."
Maxie huffs but doesn't push Archie away. "I need to explain my instincts to you and my behaviors." He sighs "could you maybe get me a fresh pair of clothes my tail kind of destroyed my pants and my back fin ripped my shirt in two."
Archie laughs as he runs off to get the clothes leaving Maxie red faced in the water.
......
Maxie hands Archie a very detailed list of several pages. "Here is a detailed list of my instincts and behaviors you may witness and experience, I've also made copies for our former admins since I trust them with my secret... and they also seemed concerned for my wellbeing the past few weeks."
Archie hums reading over the list then pauses. "So the jealously thing was unintentional?"
Maxie looks away. "Well you are my mate now and sirens can be very protective of there mates, and I don't want to share you."
"Why aren't you annoyed when I hang out with Matt or Shelly?"
"There your family, I mean not by blood but I" he grumbles. "I can tell that you guys are family."
Archie blushes. "That's actually really sweet." He continues to read then stops again. "Wait how are you going to tell the others?"
"We have a pool in this facility I'll show by example. Physical proof is hard to disprove."
"Alright but are you ok with this?"
"Its not like I have a choice Tabitha found my blood packets last month and I had to make an excuse for that, and they are already concerned with my recent behavior. " he frowns. "And its not like I haven't saved them from drowning before."
"You did?"
"I mean yeah Courtney can't swim, and Tabitha gets a panic attack when in the water so swimming isn't a option for him. It wasn't there fault I just happened to be close enough to save them."
"Thats really sweet. You really are a big softie."
"I have eaten many men Archie I am terrifying."
Archie gives Maxie a soft kiss making the shorter man blush.

Sonal Celebration Week Submission: Reunion
In case Tumblr ate my direct submission to @boundforfreedomsonsal I’m also posting my submission myself with the Tumblr tagged. So finally the celebration is here, and here’s my first submission. Taking place around issue 50 of the Archie-series, this is my take on when Sonic woke Sally up. As well as my own fanfic head-canon injection where I personally feel after all the kerfuffle with Endgame, Sonic and Sally got their confessions out and started the road to being a couple there. Instead of the long, convoluted delayed process, we fans had to wait nearly ten years to see to fruition.
REUNION:
The only sound was the crunching of leaves under Sonic’s shoes after he slowed down upon reaching the memorial. His heart instantly ached at the sight of it, despite knowing from Doctor Quack that Sally wasn’t dead. However, the sight of her ‘viewing’ memorial and her body resting in the clear-view casket, just hammered home what was his reality until a few minutes ago. His heart was hammering in his chest. The closer he got, his brain reminding him of the water-fowl doctor’s words. ‘She’s alive, but in a coma. Her tenacious will-power probably saved her life as much as her getting medical attention quickly. However, while Sally’s body has mended, I have no clue if and when she will wake up.’
Sonic himself had been advised to stay in bed given how utterly fatigued he had been through the entire ‘Endgame’ fiasco as everyone was calling Sally’s seeming death, his frame-job, and Robotnik’s near victory which ended in his defeat. Shuddering Sonic looked at his hands, they still tingled from impacting on the fatso’s face, and by God, if the Ultimate Annihilator hadn’t taken out Robuttnik; he was ready to end him himself. A thought that scared him to the core, especially on how he still felt okay with the act if had taken Robotnik’s life.
Guess luck was looking out for him, and maybe, just maybe luck would hold out again.
As he reached the see-through casket, a disguised medical pod, his mind snapped back to the here and now. Sally looked so peaceful, so, very dead. He knew she wasn’t, but the brief flicker of thought made his heart jump, and his breathing increase for a moment. All the pent up emotions were wanting to spill out, but he held them in. Focusing back on his task, Sonic found the latches sealing the casket and input the combination code into the five buttons Doctor Quack had given him. After the code was inputted, a soft but potent ‘hiss’ sound could be heard as the casket was unsealed and could now be opened as he wished. Grasping the edge of the container, he pulls open the clear-top, which flipped open from the bottom before automatic hinges locked the canopy into place.
Looking down upon Sally’s form, he could now see clearly, she was breathing, but very shallowly. His gaze briefly went up to the clear-canopy of her viewing casket. He had to give kudos to Doctor Quack for installing some weird, trick into the thing that hid the fact Sally was breathing from anyone who came to pay their respects. If he hadn’t pulled out all the stops, Robotnik would have undoubted discovered the ruse and finished the job Snively set into motion through Drago and Hershey. Kneeling down, he reached out, softly touching her auburn hair, and gently began to caress it. Sally always had such soft hair, even when the humidity of the summer would frizzle it to heck, somehow she still kept it silky soft. Smiling Sonic trailed his hand down to her face, feeling those adorable cheek tufts, and very, very happy he could feel the warmth of her body under her fur. Another much-needed indicator she was alive, which helped set his still hammer-beating heart at ease to some degree.
As a soft breeze blew past him, the blue hedgehog stared at the Princess’ sleeping face, wishing her eyes would open. The last few days of thinking she had died weighed on him all the things he never got to say to her, the regrets of not having gotten to say such things to her. The denial of things to come, things he at the time felt he’d taken for granted that they would come in due time, only there was no time. Now, she was alive, but would she even wake up so he could make good on doing all those things he should have already said and made clear.
Life was too short, and thankfully he’d be given another chance, and if she’d only wake up, he’d make good on telling her everything he’d always felt. With a long sigh exhaling from his lips he looks down upon Sally’s peacefully, sleeping figure again as a stray thought crossed his mind.
“No way it’d work, just stupid story-book mumbo-jumbo…” He muttered to himself, but yet at the same time, what else did he have to lose? Stranger things have come true in his short life. Grasping the edges of the casket, Sonic leaned over, planting a soft kiss to Sally’s cheek, murmuring softly, almost pleadingly, hoping it might awaken her. “I love you, Sally, please come back to us, to me.” Pulling back from the kiss, he sat on his knees at her side, watching her, and unsurprised nothing happened. That’s what you get for putting hope in fairytale nonsense.
Just as Sonic was about to pick up Sally to take her back to the hospital, someplace less out in the open, he saw her eyebrows furrow and twitch. His breath caught in his throat as he saw more signs of Sally stirring awake. “Sal?” He asked quietly, hope slowly blooming into his tone. Her mouth opened and a low groan escaped, followed by her mouth smacking together as if she was trying to get rid of morning dry-ness of the throat. The cute ears on top of her head twitched, and her fingers began to move, unclasping from the pose she was placed in, and resting on the bottom of the casket. With a smooth, if slow motion, Sally pushed herself up into a sitting position; flinching as if the motion caused her a brief bout of pain.
“Ahh…” Her voice was scratchy and parched, but clearly hers. Finally, her eyelids managed to force themselves open, and Sonic soon found those beautiful blue peepers looking into his own as Sally craned her head causing their gazes to meet at last. Her gaze turned to one of concern as she saw Sonic’s expression along with big-wet tears rolling down his cheeks.
“Sonic? Is that you? What’s wrong, are you okay-?” Sally’s words of confusion turned to concern and were soon interrupted as she found herself caught up in a big hug that threatened to expel the contents of her lungs as she found herself gasping for air.
“YOU’RE AWAKE!” Sonic cried, standing up fully with Sally in his arms, swinging her around as he both laughed and cried happily in pure, unadulterated joy.
“S-Sonic! A-air, can’t breathe!” Gasped the squirrel-munk as the blue hedgehog spun her around, adding a bit of dizziness to her lack of oxygen.
Realizing this, Sonic quickly sets her on her feet and lets go of her, but his hands instantly snatch hers and hold on. As if afraid letting go would allow her to disappear. “Sorry Sal! I just-I just…” His words trailed off as his voice broke. Unable to really say anything he just smiled at her. “J-just glad you’re back.”
Shaking her head, she gently pulls her hands from his and cups his face, looking concerned. “What happened Sonic? You never cry unless something big happened.”
Sniffling the hedgehog wiped his eyes, trying to dry his tears. “We all thought you were dead.”
Staring at him blankly, Sally couldn’t speak as it felt like a lump was in her throat, but she somehow managed after a few beats. “Dead?!” Her tone started off incredulous but as she looked about, one look at the memorial site told her Sonic wasn’t blowing things out of proportion. Putting a hand to her head, Sally wracked her brain and slowly recalled falling down the cut rope. “I fell, that’s right I fell, my rope was cut.”
With a nod, Sonic explained everything. Her near-death experience, his being framed for her murder, Robotnik’s plans, and all the little bits and pieces that fit into each puzzle-piece slot to make up the entire affair. Once Sonic finished, Sally stood staring briefly before moving closer and hugging him tightly.
“I’m so sorry Sonic, that you went through all that.”
Accepting the hug, Sonic fought the urge to squeeze her again and nuzzled against her face, unable to help himself. Luckily for him, Sally didn’t see to mind. “I’m just glad you’re alive, that’s all that matters.” Being able to hold her again alone made what he went through worth it alone. “We’ll catch ya’ up to speed. Gonna have lots to do especially as Buttnik’s gone for good.”
A soft smile formed on her beautiful face, as Sally exhaled gently. “I still can scarcely believe it. It-it’s really over isn’t it?” It was like a dream, and she prayed to whatever deity was listening this wasn’t the case. In fact, Sally reached down to her own wrist and pinched the skin under her fur. After a brief flash of pain, followed by a wince. Once nothing seemed to have changed, she let out a sound of relief. “I’m not dreaming am I?” “Not at all,” Sonic replied all smiles. “So the war’s over, we can stop fighting, well mostly.” With a nod and a shrug Sonic quipped. “Minus whatever under-bosses Buttnik left lying around Snotly, yeah we’re good.”
Both enjoy a much-needed chuckle, breaking the hug and just staring at one another. Recalling his earlier despair and regret for not ‘saying’ things to Sally, Sonic swallowed a hard lump in his throat and took her hands into his again. “Sally I gotta say something to you.”
Curious and intrigued, Sally grasped his hands, giving a friendly and assuring squeeze back. “Oh? What is it Sonic?”
It was now or never, he’d thought of this moment often. Of the various lines he could say, maybe even whip out his guitar and sing a rock-ballad; any and every avenue he’d entertained this moment in his brain for some time. Yet now; he couldn’t find any of his prior ideas truly worth their salt in conveying this moment.
So Sonic did what he did best, and improvised. “Sally I love you, I always have and I want you to know that!!” His words came out fast, yet were clear enough to be heard clearly despite the nervous-tick in his tone. Almost as soon as his confession came out, Sonic began to sweat and panic internally. Did he screw up by not being flowery, and all that mushy stuff girls were supposed to like? As this internal panic began to wreak his mind; he almost failed to take notice of Sally’s response.
The Princess’ eyes first went wide as her jaw began slack, staring at Sonic, to make sure she wasn’t dreaming. Did she hear Sonic correctly? “Say it again Sonic, please.” She begged, her own heart beating loudly in her ears.
Sally’s words snapped Sonic out of his initial panic, and upon seeing those beautiful baby-blues looking at him inquiringly, he nodded as he mustered his courage and confidence. “I love you Sally Acorn, I always have.” Lifting her hands he placed both on his chest, allowing her to feel his widely beating heart. He felt her fingers curl in his chest fur, a sensation that almost distracted him from talking it felt so nice. “I don’t know when, but...I just knew it, we’ve been together since we were in diapers. You’re my best friend and without you in my life, it would suck a lot.” Licking his lips, he fought back any nervous lumps trying to make talking difficult. “I love you, and I need you in my life Sal-I, I thought I lost you and I can’t… I can’t let a day go by without letting you know.”
Sonic again found himself worried he screwed up as Sally’s eyes misted over and Tears began to leak from them. “Sal? D-did I say something-MMMPH?!” Now it was his turn to be interrupted, as Sally pulled him close, her arms now firmly around his neck and her lips over his. Soon Sonic’s eyes slowly close and he returned the kiss; his own arms wrapping around her waist and held her close as their bodies almost seemed to shift and rub together perfectly. Slowly the kiss evolved, becoming much more explicit as each opened their mouths, letting their tongues intertwine as a surging heat-formed between them. Not a sexual one, that was there but not prominently, this was the heat between two hearts that had found their way to one another.
Soon the kiss ended, and both parted, staring at one another as they tried to catch their breath. Sally recovered first, smiling warmly at Sonic as she brought a hand up to cup his cheek. “I love you too Sonic Hedgehog, always since I can remember.” Like him, she kept her words simple, any prior ‘showy’ confession was pushed aside in lieu of simple, direct but heartfelt. “Whatever is coming over the horizon I want to meet it with you at my side.”
“And you mine.” He smiled widely, like her he now had tears of joy in his eye. The two lean forward, resting their foreheads together as they basked at the moment. Robotnik might be gone, but the war was not yet over; and who knows what threats may lay over the next hill or around the bend.
Whatever was to come, they would face it together, now and forever.

Riverdale 5X01 Review
Hey we are back! It’s been a while since we’ve had a Riverdale episode so it was great to see the show back. Obviously this episode was a continuation of the end of season 4 that got cut short so it didn’t really feel like a premiere which was a little odd but couldn’t be helped. To be honest while I did think this was a good episode for me I felt like it could have been better. I just wasn’t completely satisfied I kept wanting more and it was a little frustrating because it was always so close but just didn’t quite hit the mark for me. That being said there were still some really great moments in this episode and some good storylines. There is definitely plenty to unpack so lets dive in, as always there are spoilers, also these are just my own opinions and thoughts totally fine if you disagree.
As always I am going to break the review down into the different plotlines, and I’ll give you my thoughts and theories on them, I am going to start with the video tapes and the voyeur storyline.
The Voyeur and Blue Velvet.
So we open exactly where we left off with Betty and Jughead in the cabin only now the FBI are there and I get to see my boy Charles which made me happy. During the scene we learn a couple of things, first Mr Honey was not the one killed in the video, which begs the question of who was? The second is that Jughead raises the possibilty that he has been hacked which could lend some evidence to the theory going around that the Stonies still have access to Jughead’s old laptop and were somehow able to get access to his new laptop through it. The third is that the owner of Blue Velvet video store is selling tickets to view the tapes. Jughead believes that whilst he probably isn’t the voyeur he is involved and is profitting off of the tapes. Only the owner isn’t talking so Betty and Jughead have to look elsewhere for clues. I do want to just say real quick though that I did not understand the scene between Betty and Miss Bell. Like I didn’t understand why she went to Miss Bell for answers? Especially as Miss Bell didn’t even give her any useful information. Unless it was just there as a way to reintroduce Mr Weatherby back into the show which I must say it was good to see him again but his line about how he makes it through most nights without waking up screaming was actually kind of sad just because it shows how traumatised the people of the town really are. We have gotten quite a few lines like this now that really do show how much of an effect all the murders and everything have had on the townspeople of Riverdale. I mean you had Kevin’s line about being numb but screaming inside, also kevin and fangs talking about who they could be outside of riverdale and Ethel saying she just wanted to make it out of riverdale in one piece, the writers have done a good job of weaving those comments throughout well what would have been the whole season.
Next Betty and Jughead go to see Brett and with a little bit of sweet talk and a sprinkling of the threat of violence on top they are able to to get some info out of him. They learn that David (the Blue Velvet guy) does these redband viewings and the only way to get access to them is to either be on a list or to take a snuff film to David. What I found interesting about this scene is that it seemed to me like Brett was playing them a bit, I just get the feeling he’s got some ulterior motive. For example when he asks what the investigation is to me it looked like he was trying to stay casual and I think he already knew that’s what they were looking into. When they confirm it he gets this kind of smirk on his face like he’s happy that they are investigating it. I do think he knows alot more than he is letting on and I wouldn’t be surprised to find out he is manipulating them.
So Betty and Jughead decide to take Brett’s advice and make a snuff film with help from Cheryl and Reggie. Interestingly this snuff film actually doesn’t end up contributing to much in this episode because the moment they show it to David he can tell it’s a fake. Which makes me think why would the writers bother having it in there, why not just have Betty say to Jughead oh we can give him that tape of my dad? Well I do have a theory on that as I think the fake snuff film with Cheryl is going to come into play later. Remember in the season 5 trailer there’s a shot of cheryl’s dress covered in blood.
It’s the same dress Cheryl wears in the snuff film and to me it looks like the same location of the snuff film and it also looks like its the same chair. Also the way its hung up like that makes this feel like a threat of some kind. I think that the voyeur is going to try and frame Cheryl for a crime of some kind and that she’ll go to prison I mean that is also the same location where her uncle was killed so it might link back to that somehow. This could explain why Toni is pregnant and living with Kangs after the time jump.
After taking the tape of her dad to David, Betty is able to get access to the underground viewings. After letting Jughead in through the back door they start exploring the place. In each room there is a different video playing. Now anyone who has read any of my season 4 Riverdale posts knows that my theory on the Voyeur is that its actually a ring lead by Donna and is made up of the stonies, the farmies, terry and his tickle gang and Mr honey and the Blue Velvet guy. Well the videos that are being shown could be used to support my theory. The first video we get shown is one of the s*x tapes that the Stonies recorded and that Brett sold to the Blue velvet store. The second video we get shown is a tickle video. That links in both the Stonies and Terry. We then see a video of a group of people beating up someone tied to a tree and then the Black Hood video before they find the voyeur’s tapes. The first voyeur tape we get shown in the one where they are killing my honey. But what about the farmies. Whilst there isn’t any video linked to them I do think we have a clue that would point to them. Remember earlier when I said I didn’t understand the scene between Miss Bell and Betty because we didn’t get any information from it. Well I do think it was used to remind us about the farmies through Mr Weatherby. Which means throughout the voyeur plotline we’ve been reminded of the stonies, the farmies, the tickle ring and mr honey and I don’t think that’s a coincidence it does seem to me that they want us to connect these groups with the voyeur.
Ok moving on. Whilst exploring the screening they spot a guy in an owl mask who appears to be filiming the people at the screening. Obviously Betty and Jughead believe that this is the voyeur. However when they try to go after them they run into Jellybean and the person gets away. We learn from Jellybean that she heard about the party from her friend’s brother who is on an email list. However I don’t think it was an accident that Jellybean was at the party, we know from the season 5 trailer that at some point someone is going to sneak into the Jones/ Cooper household and threaten Jellybean with a knife. I think that the voyeur deliberately lured Jellybean there as a warning or threat to Jughead. I do think this will explain why FP will leave the show as well I think the knife video coupled with this instance will cause FP to make the decision to take Jellybean out of Riverdale to keep her safe.
Later whilst at prom the voyeur releases a video showing images of the gang dancing then stabbing a guy in the same owl mask as earlier in the episode and who is wearing a name tag that says David. This scene though is really really wierd and at first I was really confused by it because whilst the video is playing a group of students come onto the dance floor and start dancing like they are at a rave and I kept thinking why the hell are they dancing? Well later it then hit me, hypnosis. The video starts out showing images of people dancing at the screening/ rave before it shows the images of the gang murdering someone. I think all of the people who go to the dance floor and start dancing like that have been to one of those screenings and were hypnotised to respond that way, either when the lights go out or by the song that comes on or even a bit of both because the moment the song is stopped and betty turns the lights back on all the people who were dancing stop and look around confused like they are not sure how they got there. Also the fact that jughead is the one that goes to the computer to turn off the video makes me think that maybe that was his laptop and that it really is being hacked by someone, most likely the stonies.
Ok now we are going to get to the first thing that annoyed me about this episode and it is something I have spoken about before. After turning off the video Betty and Jughead run out of the prom to go investigate. But the thing is they don’t even stop to tell Archie and Veronica what’s going on. I’ve said time and time again that one of the problems with the show is that the characters are too segregated, you always have the same characters interacting with each other and only each other. None suffer more from this than the core four. I mean that video wasn’t just about Jughead and Betty, it involved the whole gang and yet neither of them bother to stop and explain what’s going on to everyone else, like it would have been so easy to write a quick conversation in where the rest of them follow Betty and Jughead out and ask questions, they could have been given a quick explaination and then told them that they would explain more later. But we got nothing. I think the thing that frustrates me more is that Archie had that speech earlier in the episode about how prom was the final dance they were going to have together and so they couldn’t miss it but then other than a like 2 second clip of them making a toast we don’t see them interact with each other at all. Even crazier than that I don’t think the core four communicated with each other outside of their couples at all this episode which considering prom is suppose to be this big milestone to celebrate with your friends its a bit ridiculous to me that the core four don’t have any conversations. The only other scene outside of prom where all four of them are together is at the speakeasy and they don’t actually talk to each other they are just there together so I wouldn’t really call it them interacting. I know I sound like I’m ranting and well I am but as I’ve said before I am soo tired of this dynamic they’ve got going. There is only so many times a person can watch Bughead investigate a mystery, or Varchie have s*x and fight with her parents over and over before they get bored. It makes me miss season 1 when everyone was involved in the investigation and everyone communicated with each other about the things they had found out. But I think the best evidence that the core four don’t interact enough outside of their couples comes from KJ Apa’s interview where he says.
“It’s really funny because I’ve been so used to shooting scenes with Cami and I’ve mainly been with Cami on set, so it’s funny when the roles start reversing,” Apa explained. “And it’s interesting because it’s like ‘Oh this is what it’s like to work with Lili every day! You know? It’s a completely different vibe, it’s amazing and it’s fun because it’s different.”
The fact that he isn’t used to working with Lili everyday speaks volumes. Like think about it for a second these two are suppose to be best friends on the show and yet the actors don’t usually work together and aren’t use to working together that’s crazy to me. Though I will admit that I am excited that that seems to be changing and we might be seeing some new dynamics. However I hope they don’t fall into the same pattern again but just with new couples. Like I am a Barchie shipper and I would love to see loads of scenes of them together but I don’t want to only see them interacting with each other I want to see Betty interact with Veronica, and Archie with Jughead and Jughead with Veronica and Veronica with Archie and Betty with Jughead, I want those friendship bonds as much as those shipper moments. I love seeing my ships interact but it needs to be balanced.
Ok so after that rant lets move onto the next plotline.
Varchie and The Song.
This was actually my favourite plotline of the episode just because of Camilla and KJ’s performances they did such a good job and honestly the storyline was so heartbreaking. The storyline is kicked off with Veronica finding the song Archie wrote for Betty. She obviously thinks its about her and asks him to play it for her. You see that he is trying to shrug it off as being nothing. But the part that hit me in the heart was when she said she liked the idea of him getting back into music. To me this is so heartbreaking because it was Betty that got him playing music again, it was Betty who inspired him again. Veronica is so happy for him yet she has no idea that its because of her boyfriend’s strong feelings for her best friend that he was able to write songs again. Also you can see that this is hurting Archie too. I feel like Archie gets alot of stick and judgement for the whole cheating thing, way more than Betty because people think he doesn’t care about Veronica but thats just not true and I think this episode really showed that. I mean he was wrong for cheating obviously but at the same time he can’t help his feelings, you don’t choose who you fall for or even when you fall for them. Betty and Archie’s mistake wasn’t that they developed feelings for each other that was beyond their control, it was that they weren’t honest about it and as a result let those feelings lead them to cheating, their second mistake was not telling their significant others right away and lying to them again. Archie in this episode is very much being confronted with the consequences of that and he is clearly hurting because he knows he is hurting/ going to hurt Veronica. You can see Archie also still has a lot of pain from Betty rejecting him on top of his feelings of guilt and is trying to forget and push it out of mind. He becomes obsessed with getting into the Naval academy because he is trying to run away from the situation and sees the Naval Academy as a way out. He tells Veronica that the song stinks and throws it in the trash hoping that it’ll take his feelings with it. To be honest this whole scene where they are talking about the song made me feel so uncomfortable, as it was suppose to, because you just know what’s coming and seeing Veronica so blissfully ignorant to it is just heart wrenching.
We find out that Archie has some competition for the position at the Naval Academy and that competition is KO Kelly from Katy Keene. Veronica proposes a boxing match to help decide who will get the position. I will admit I quite liked Archie and KO’s scenes together. They were quite short but I do think it helped show alot of how Archie was feeling and just how conflicted he is and how much he just wants to escape it all. I mean their conversation when KO asked Archie why he was interested in the Naval Academy was so telling. Archie basically tells us that he wants to start over completely he wants to leave Riverdale behind. His use of the word completely is again really showing his mentality at the moment because KO has to point out oh it won’t be completely because you’ll have Veronica and you guys are going to last. This happens twice in the episode where someone makes a comment suggesting that Archie and Veronica are endgame and both times you can see that Archie is uncomfortable with it and just sad, he just looked so sad this episode. I think deep down Archie knows that his and Veronica’s relationship is ending and he is struggling with that because he does care about her and he does love her, the last thing he wants to do is hurt her but at the same time I really do think he has fallen out of love with her and now he has these deep feelings for Betty but because he loves and cares for Betty as well he wants her to be happy and he believes that she has no feelings for him. Plus he doesn’t want to hurt Jughead either because he cares about him too. As a result I think he’s feeling very overwhelmed and stuck right now like he’s backed into a corner because no matter what he does someone is getting hurt. Knowing Archie he also is probably putting all the blame on himself and has just decided that everyone will be better off with him gone, but on the flip side of that he is also probably afraid of being left alone, he says to KO that all his friends are going to college and he missed the boat on that so he could feel like he is going to be left behind. Basically Archie’s having alot of feels right now and it’s kind of tearing him apart.
But another one of my favourite moments between Archie and KO is KO’s reaction to finding out that Veronica has a speakeasy. Which leads into the scene that made me so so uncomfortable. Look I had guessed that Veronica was likely to find the song, I even put it in one of my theory posts I even predicted that maybe Archie would end up having to sing the song and Veronica would figure out it wasn’t about her.  But what I never would have predicted in a million years is that Veronica would be the one to sing the song, so well done Riverdale you got me there. Honestly Veronica being the one to sing the song made it a thousand times worse, I mean the secondhand embarassment was real. Just the whole time I wanted to look away but couldn’t. However I do want to talk about Archie and Betty’s reactions really quick.
The really interesting thing about this scene to me is that they actually dont show us Betty and Archie’s reactions straight away. First they show us KO’s reaction who smiles clearly recognising that this is a love song, I mean he doesn’t know what’s going on, all he knows is from Katy who has told him Archie and Veronica love each other, he’s likely listening to this song and just thinking oh Katy was right they really love each other. The next reaction they show us is Jughead’s and to be honest he doesn’t really react much and I think this is suppose to show that just like Veronica he is very much in the dark and has no idea of the storm heading his way. It is only after being shown their reactions that we are shown Archie’s reaction and you can see that he is hurting, he remembers back to when he tried to play it for Betty. We also get to see Betty’s reaction and obviously she is shocked but she also looks really sad. I think she has been trying really hard to ignore her feelings for Archie and so this is a reminder that she wasn’t expecting and it probably pulls those feelings up again. What is interesting to me is that Betty is the first one to look over to Archie not only that but she maintains her gaze on him she doesn’t look away, Archie however when he does look over to her immediately looks away again when he sees that she is looking, she carries on looking at him for a few moments before also finally breaking her gaze away. It seems like Archie can’t maintain eye contact with her and I do think that is because of how much he is hurting. I do feel like in this moment he was more caught up in his pain at Betty’s rejection kind of like in 1x02 when Archie plays the song for the group and Betty just flashes back to Archie rejecting her and she can’t take it she just runs away. Well I think that is exactly what Archie is going through right now but he can’t run away because then people will know something is wrong and if they know something is wrong they ask questions and then someone will get hurt. The other thing I do think is interesting is in the flashbacks they chose to use clips of Betty smiling which to me was a curious choice in context of the scene. I mean it’s clearly not a happy scene, Archie is in pain, Veronica is singing a love song that was written for her best friend by her boyfriend plus jughead is there and yet they don’t show clips of betty looking sad, and there were shots of betty looking sad in that original scene so why have they chosen to show Betty as smiling? Personally I think it is to show that Betty might not be as over her feelings for Archie as she seems but only time will tell.
I think for Archie hearing Veronica sing the song is what makes him really start to question things. I mean that scene right after you can see he doesn’t feel comfortable kissing her and he is clearly trying to get away from her as quickly as possible. Also poor Veronica seems so surprised when he says good night without telling her he loves her. Though he does say it I do think she picks up that there is something wrong but I think she just brushes it off as him being nervous about the fight the next day.  One thing I will say though and it is another complaint and does go back to that need for more characters to interact is I think there needed to be a scene with Betty and Archie at this moment. After Veronica walks away but before Archie leaves I think the story would have benfitted from Betty coming out and talking to him because it was really weird to me that she didn’t try to talk to him. I mean if it were me I would want to know how Veronica got the song, you know I would have questions so it was odd to me that Betty didn’t come and ask how it had happened, what did Veronica know? I needed more from this scene, I needed more depth. I appreciate that there were alot of plotlines going on so they might not have had time for it but tat just brings me to the nect thing I think Riverdale could work on. I do feel like this episode felt a bit rushed and that was because of how many plotlines were included, I do feel like Riverdale has this habit of overstuffing episodes with too many plots and so those plots feel rushed or not complete. I think if they have fewer plots going forward then they could flesh out the plots they do have make it a more complete story.
So that leads us to the events of prom. Ok so I probably shoudn’t have laughed at this, and in my defence it was more of a bitter laugh than anything else but that picture they showed of Archie, Veronica and Betty in the first few moments of prom really summed up the situation didn’t it. Archie being confused between Veronica and Betty again makes me think back to season 1 where you had a dance and a love triangle it really has come full circle in the most chaotic way possible.
For me one the saddest part of this episode was that moment when Veronica was telling Archie about her plan to defer Barnard for a year and she says ‘I’d rather lose a year than be out of sync with you, maybe forever.’ Not only do I think that this shows that Veronica has picked up that something isn’t quite right I think this is the moment that Archie knew he had to tell her the truth. Because he realises that they are already out of sync and they have been for a little while now. I also think it shows how much he does care about Veornica that he wasn’t willing to let her give up on going to college for him. I wasn’t at all surprised that Archie told Veronica the truth, I said before that I reckoned Archie would tell Veronica the truth but Betty would just lie to Jughead because that follows the pattern of the last time they kissed. I will say I have hella respect for Archie for telling her the truth, that clearly wasn’t easy for him and also he told her the whole truth not just that he had kissed Betty but that the song was for her. He could have taken an easier way out and just told her that he wanted to break up because of them graduating and distance or whatever but instead he told her the truth. But my heart did break for Veronica and that scene where choni, bughead and varchie were all dancing and seeing that contrast between the two other happy couples and then Varchie who you could just see them crumbling but trying to hold it together.
So I haven’t really been in the Riverdale tags since the episode aired because I didn’t want to get spoiled and I couldn’t watch it right away but I forgot to blacklist it too so I saw a couple of posts on my dash. From what I can tell this next scene was a bit controversial I spose you could say which is the one where Veronica and Archie talk and Veronica says they shouldn’t tell Jughead and that they will just go their separate ways after graduation. Some people said that she should have gotten angry and when I first saw those posts before watching the episode I 100% agreed I was actually a little mad and thought it was going to be just like in season 2 where Veronica and Jughead just shrugged the Barchie kiss off which made no sense. But having watched the scene I actually thought it was so much more heartbreaking the way they wrote it than it would have been if she had just gotten angry. I mean to me it seemed like she was just soo heartbroken that she didn’t have the energy in her to be angry she didn’t have room for anything else but the pain she was feeling and that just made that scene that much more heartwrenching and made me feel even more for her. Also I saw some say that her plan about not telling jughead and going their separate ways after graduation is too mature. But here’s the thing I don’t think its mature at all if anything I actaully think its very naive. I completely understand Veronica’s thought process and how she’s feeling here. They have two weeks until gradution, their last two weeks and these weeks are suppose to be ones of celebration and looking forward to the future with excitement and anticipation, they are suppose to be two weeks of cherising your friends and they’ve already got so much to deal with with the voyeur that she doesn’t want as she says to overshadow those two weeks with drama and break ups and not being able to talk to her friends and celebrate with them because they are all so hurt and angry. So instead she decides the best thing to do is pretend for two weeks like nothing is wrong. She probably thinks that its only two weeks and that’ll it’ll be easy to do. That’s why I think it is naive because I don’t think they will be able to just ignore the situation and pretend that its not there and that again just makes it so much more sadder. Really I feel so sorry for Veronica and for Archie, Jughead and Betty because they are going to have so much to deal with.
Choni and Family Feuds.
Ok so next on our list of topics is the plotline with Toni and Cheryl. This is another plotline that I enjoyed. I am glad we got a little more backstory for Toni and I really hope we continue to get more. This was another storyline that I thought was really sad. It’s all set off when Cheryl asks Toni if they can invite her family over for a dinner. I do think their situation was actually kind of similar to Varchie’s in the sense that Cheryl clearly was looking to the future of their relationship and making it more serious just like Veronica was looking to her and Archie’s relationship. But just like Archie Toni was keeping a secret that throws a wrench in hers and Cheryl’s relationship.
I will say that Madalaine did an amzing job this episode. But there were two scenes in particualr that blew me away and were really sad the first was after she asked about the dinner and she thinks that Toni’s grandparents might not be accepting of their grand daughter being in a lesbian relationship she starts to cry at the thought of having to pretend not to be her girlfriend. I really do think during this conversation she is remembering all the things her own mother did to her because she was a lesbian and the pain that brought her. Which probably makes it even worse when she goes to Toni’s grandmother and finds out that it’s not that she is lesbian but that because she is a blossom. I think Cheryl figured that if she went and had a friendly conversation with the grandma then she could help make her more accepting and more comfortable about Cheryl and Toni’s relationship. But instead she finds out that their problem is with her specifically as a person and who her family is. Cheryl has always been judged for who her family is and so I think this really hurts her and it brings me to the second scene that just made me ball my eyes which was at the end when Cheryl is crying to her Nana Rose and says that she knows that her and Toni won’t end up together and that the curse of the Blossom family and that she is destined to be alone. I mean when you think of everything she has lost, first her twin brother, then her parents however awful they were, all she’s got left is Nana Rose if Toni leaves her. But she knows that family is important and she doesn’t want to put Toni in a position where she has to choose between her and her family.
I also understand where Toni is coming from as well though, I mean she is in a very difficult position because she clearly loves Cheryl but their families have a lot of bad and painful history but on the other hand that’s not Cheryl’s fault. That scene as they are leaving prom was really bittersweet. Cheryl thanking Toni for giving her some happy prom memories to hold onto and Toni trying to reassure her that they will work things out while both their eyes are welling up just killed me. I really do hope that they can work it out.
The Kinks.
Yh I know I have already complained more than I usually do in these in reviews but there were some moments in this episode that made a feel a bit, well they just didn’t sit quite right with me so I figured I would put them all here as they aren’t major issues like the ones I talked about earlier.
1) Although I understand that Veronica felt like she was doing something romantic and supportive I didn’t agree with her taking that song and singing it without Archie’s permission. Even if it wasn’t that song just any song. To me songs are very personal things and so I just didn’t think it was right of her to take something so personal to Archie especially after he had already thrown it away.
2) This one might be a bit of an unpopular opinion and don’t get me wrong I love that Choni were prom queens but I hated that part where Cheryl stopped anyone else from signing up because to me it tarnished their win. Like they didn’t win prom queens they were given it because there wasn’t anyone else to vote for. I dunno to me it just would have been so much more satisfying if they had competition and they won it because people actually wanted them to win, whereas I feel like they way they wrote it made it seem like they won by default.
3) As much as I understood why she did I also don’t think Cheryl should have gone to speak to Toni’s grandmother without Toni knowing.
Theories
We are nearly done the last thing I want to do is just discuss some theories about what I think might happen next. These theories are based on the promo for the next episode and the promo pics that have been released for the graduation episode.
So it looks like Archie is going to go off the deep end next episode if that promo and Jughead’s comment about the straw that broke the camel’s back is anything to go by. I mean I think Archie’s comment in the promo to Betty of ‘are you kidding me? What isn’t wrong?’ really sums up Archie’s life right now, he didn’t get into the Naval academy, Veronica knows the truth and is hurt, betty who he has feelings for rejected him and then he gets a tape from the voyeur reminding him of a moment when he felt at his weakest, and on top of that it’s going to remind him of his dad and I really don’t think Archie has properly grieved and gotten passed his fathers death plus if I remember from the synopsis I think the guy who killed his dad needs his help which is who I’m assuming the guy in Archie’s room in the promo is. But I could see this leading to Jughead finding out the truth. I think Archie will start to act more and more unhinged as the episode goes on plus we know that he gets beat up by hiram which could lead to Jughead asking questions about why Hiram is upset with Archie and I think eventually Betty will confess out of concern for Archie’s behaviour maybe or something along those lines.
As for how veronica is going to react to her dad beating up Archie I don’t think she’ll be best pleased, she wants to pretend there is nothing wrong and to avoid any drama and her dad beating up Archie is not going to make that easy. I do think things are going to unravel pretty quickly from there.
I definitely think that we will find out who is behind the tapes in the next episode once that’s all wrapped up they can focus on graduation. I am still sticking to my Donna theory especially as the next episode is called ‘The Preppy Murders’ which is another name fro the stonies I kinda feel like they are just shoving it in our faces at this point that the stonies have a huge part of this. I know alot of people think its Charles but I hope its not. It’s not just because I like his character either but because the build up for that hasn’t really been there. I mean I can find so much evidence to suggest that its donna, the farmies terry and mr honey but there is only like two or three instances of Charles acting suspect and most of them can be explained away by him being an FBI agent. That doesn’t mean that they won’t have it be charles jsut that I would find it kind of anti-climatic if they did.
I can legit see the last few minutes of episode three being from the time jump and I reckon it’ll be that scene from the trailer where betty has a gun and I think it’ll be something along the lines of them finding out Polly is missing or something that sets up what the mystery for season 5 will be.
Ok that is all I’ve got right now. If you have read to the end then thank you, What did you guys think of the episode? Are you happy Riverdale is back and what are your theories for the rest of the season?

Y/N POV
You were over the gargoyles and quite frankly you were over Jughead letting them into the Serpents. Kurtz was running his mouth about some stupid shit and you were starting to get annoyed very quickly.
“What are you smiling at Kurtz?” You watched as Jughead stood to Kurtz and soon learned it was the Gargoyles who were causing problems with Weatherbee. You were tired of Kurtz’s shit, it was about time you said something.
“Freaking fizzle rock junkie”
“You wanna go right now” Kurtz responded back to you and were prepared to fight You stood up getting up in his face but had Fangs and Sweet Pea pulling you back. Sweet Pea whispered into your ear. “Princess it’s not worth it” but it so was.
They are going to poison the serpents just like they did to your best friend Joaquin. Fangs stepped in front of you when Kurtz lunged at you and grabbed him by the jacket.
“Don’t touch her”
“Don’t think that we’ve forgotten about your spying on the gargoyles. The only reason she’s not branded is because you saved her ass.” It’s true Fangs saved your life without him you would be branded probably dead. You kept it hidden from Sweet Pea that you were spying on them because when you initially mentioned it to him he told you he would never let you, and Fangs only knew because Jughead told him to keep an eye on you.
*Flashback*
“Pea you know how we are trying to get dirt on the Gargoyles…”
“Yeah, why? Wait, no don’t you even fucking think about it you are insane”
“But”
“No” You let it go for a while afraid of what would happen Pea was right in a way but also you needed to get dirt on them before they started coming onto Serpent turf it was the only way. So you had a meeting with Jughead and he let you, spy. You had been spying for three months of going unnoticed and three months of no one catching you until you fucked up bad. You were on a gargoyle mission trying to recruit a new player. One got very handsy ripping the flannel from your body. The flannel that covered your serpent tattoo. The only way to cover the tattoo was by wearing jackets and flannels because it went across your back and onto your side. When the recruit ripped it off the gargoyles that were with you saw it and drug you back to Kurtz. You had been “in” the gargoyle gang but you never took the fizzle rocks you had pretended to though. Kurtz came into the room the gargoyles were holding you in and stared you down.
“Why Y/N?”
“I have nothing to say”
“You lied, you played all of us it is time that we play a little game now open your mouth” he tried shoving the fizzle rocks down your throat but you kicked him in the stomach making the packet dump all over the floor.
“Okay that was rude and now you are going to play. You are going to get branded and praise your king for real” You watched the iron come towards you and as the top pressed to you the door opened and Fangs ran through. You kicked Kurtz back and he landed on the floor with a thud. The guys that held you let go going after Fangs. You jumped on their back tacking your knife from your boot and stabbing it into their arm. Fangs took his stabbing the other guy in the leg as they both fell to the floor. Fangs grabbed your hand running and hopping into his truck pulling you with him. You watched Kurtz trying to run towards you before the truck pulled away.
“Fangs how did you?”
“I got a bad feeling, Jug has been making me tail you and when I saw you go into the building I knew something was wrong. Did he get you?”
“I feel the burning it stings Fangs I, I don’t want to look it hurts” You were hurting bad the sticking and your shirt sticking to the freshly burned skin.
“Hey, don’t freak out I’m gonna bring you to the wyrm and we will get you cleaned up okay?” You started going in and out on the drive to the Wyrm and Fangs was trying to keep you awake. You felt your body being lifted out of the truck, you heard the yells of everyone inside the Wyrm as you were brought upstairs slowly opening your eyes and seeing fangs carrying you.
“Fangs”
“Hey your gonna be okay I am gonna go get the first aid kit” Fangs walked back in about to lift up your shirt before you stopped him.
“Y/N I know it hurts but I need to clean it before it gets infected” He lifted the shirt off as you screamed in pain. He started cleaning it out as you gripped onto his sleeve trying to not scream in pain. He finished pulling away from you as you let his sleeve go.
“Fangs?”
“Yeah?”
“Is, is it bad”
“Well it’s burned you will probably have a scar. The full brand isn’t there it’s just a line from the top of it I imagine he didn’t get it all the way down before you kicked him away” Fangs went to hug you but you had pulled away you just wanted to be alone.
“Can I just have some time alone please?”
“Yeah of course just text if you need me and I’ll be right up” He walked out the door and you slowly fell asleep. Upon waking up you just wanted to go home so you went to get up but fell down due to the paint that coursed through your body. You started sobbing before you heard screams of Where is she, Jones you better fucking tell me, She hasn’t been home, Jones I swear if you do not tell me you are getting thrown across this bar. Then you heard footsteps and the door to the office slamming open and Sweet Pea under the doorway. He ran over wrapping you into a hug.
“Y/N what happened”
“They, they found out”
“Who?”
“The gargoyles they found out”
“Wait I thought you were on a job you've been lying to me!”
“I had to you wouldn’t let me go and I needed to I was the only one” You watched him turn to Jughead at the door.
“You fucking told me you wouldn’t let her, this is on you. Get the fuck out before I knock you out myself” Jughead looked to me and I nodded before he walked out of the room.
“I’m okay Fangs saved me”
“What did they do did they hurt you”
“Only a little but they, they tried branding me”
“You should have told me I would have been there”
“Pea you can’t spy you're like bigfoot and you have a neck tattoo they would have known”
“I don’t care I could have been there, I could have saved you, I could, You got hurt and I wasn’t there Y/N. I promised I would always be there for you and I wasn’t” You watched the tear come out of his eye and your hand went up to his cheek.
“Pea can, can I stay with you?”
“Yeah, of course, let’s go” He got up grabbing your hand about to walk to the door before you told him how bad the pain was and that you couldn't walk. He picked you up carrying you downstairs and into his truck. That entire time as you healed you weren't out of his sight for more than a minute. He protected you and he vowed to always protect you and never let anything happen to you.
*Flashback over*
Before Fangs could do anything more Jughead interrupted. Sweet Pea grabbed your hand walking to the desk sitting and placing you in front of him. Pea had always been protective of you, you weren’t together you thought you were too good of friends to even tell him you liked him so you kept it hidden.
“Alright! Back down. Both of you right now! Whatever bad blood existed between the Serpents and the Gargoyles is over. We’re all Serpents now” The gargoyles stormed out of the classroom at that point.
You met Kurtz outside of his locker you needed to talk to him
“I need to talk to you”
“What do you want serpent” Kurtz threatened Fangs and then Sweet Pea once he wasn’t going to do it again, so you took it into your own hands. You made a meeting with Kurtz alone.
“You and I are having a little meeting 1pm during free period upstairs in the lab we are settling whatever anger you have towards me understand? Good, Catch ya later” You walked away knowing full well that he would meet you.
Time skip to meeting time - Y/N POV
You walked into the classroom waiting for Kurtz to arrive, and he did but he wasn’t alone. “Needed backup for a sweet girl like me Kurtz”
“Girl, yes sweet, no I know how you work Y/N”
“Kurtz I just want a conversation I am tired of fighting with you we are on the same team now”
“We may be but you played our game or pretended to. You disobeyed and went against our king and for that, you need to be punished”
“Look you already tried that once this is over and you are a serpent now”
“You know I could always go after your best friends”
“Do not touch them, Kurtz!” You lunged forward before his two boys caught you.
“You know Y/N it’ll be a great idea branding them, and then they can drink out of the chalice and we can see what the king wants. Should they live? Hey I mean I think that is the better option it’ll hurt you deeper if I hurt them” You kicked both of the guys behind you and pulled your knife lunging at him cutting his hand slightly before they got ahold of you again.
“Let me go! All I wanted was a truce!”
“Funny for you to think I would ever form a truce with you Y/N”
“Let me go” They started dragging you outside the classroom. Where were they taking you?
Sweet Pea’s POV
Fangs came up to me patting me on the shoulder. “Serpent meeting bro you coming?”
“Have you seen Y/N?”
“She probably stayed after class don’t worry but Jones said this meeting is important I think it’s about the kid that was found”
“Alright let’s go” I walked in sitting on the desk in the back of the room far from any ghoulies I was tired of them. First, they kill one of our best friends, then they try to brand Y/N. They were not on my good side and they probably never would be. Jug started the meeting.
“We found the kid, but he’s still in danger so is Archie for that matter”
“So what’s the next plan?”
“It’s a classic gambit the hunters become the hunted. Kurtz had said that there are some rouge Gargoyles. You two heckle and jeckle start talking I want the names of those outliers and centuries posted at the Gargoyle lair” before he could say anything more Toni burst through the door.
“Jughead you need to come right now” I was mad at Toni, the Pretty Poisons and Cheryl she was becoming someone I barely knew so why was she barging in on a Serpent meeting.
“What Toni!” Jones seemed annoyed and angry.
“Kurtz is about to kill Y/N” My heart dropped my whole world was in danger now. I pushed passed Jughead and Toni running out into the hallway as everyone followed me. I saw her at the top of the stairs dangling over the edge being held by her feet my Kurtz and another Ghoulie.
“Y/N!”
“Guys! Guys Help!”
“Kurtz let her down!” Jones tried running up the stairs but was blocked. I stayed eyeing his every move and his every breath I would never let her get hurt, ever. I loved her and I couldn’t lose her without being able to tell her.
Y/N POV
They would save me I knew they would. Pea stared at me and Fangs as Jug tried getting up the stairs but the Ghoulies blocked his way.
“You scared you dirty Serpent Spy. You're about to ascend. You’ll fly to” Kurtz was leaning up at that point the threat seeming all too real. You didn’t want to die. Jughead was trying to talk, trying to get him to stop.
“Kurtz don’t” You watched the love of your life below you scared to death.
“Happy landings worthless snake” Before you could say a word the grip from your ankles left and you fell. It was your end and you knew it. You landed with a thud a pain surging through your back but you weren’t dead and you felt something underneath. You looked to your side seeing Sweet Pea and Jughead underneath of you groaning. They had broken your fall. Sweet Pea sat you up off of him slowly pulling you into a hug. You broke away from him for a split second giving a hug to Jug and a small thanks before you went back to hugging Sweet Pea. He kissed the top of your head standing up after he stood he picked you up bridal style and carried you to an empty classroom. You stayed silent as he placed you on a desk and you clung to him words not forming but action being able to tell it all.
“Princess please tell me your alright” You just clung to him tighter.
“Y/N  just tell me if you’re in pain I need to be able to help you and I can't do that if I don’t know”
“I, I’m fine just a little shaken up don’t let me go please” He hugged you again placing a kiss to the top of your head he always knew how to make you feel better.
“I won’t let you go I promise” You were going to speak before you felt his lips on yours.
“Y/N I'm so sorry” you kissed him back. “Don’t be, but why?”
“I thought I was going to lose you” You watched as a tear slipped out of his eye. You reached up wiping it off his cheek and he grabbed your hand. You had only seen Pea cry about three or four times in your entire life so it was quite odd. “Y/N I thought I was going to lose you. I have loved you for so long but have been so afraid to tell you. When I, When I saw you dangling over the edge of that balcony my first thought was that I needed to save you, but my second thought was how I would live knowing that I one never told you I loved you and two that I would never be able to be with you completely. I needed to tell you. I need you to know that you are the love of my life. I know this is shit timing but would you maybe be my girlfriend”
“Yes, Pea I will be your girlfriend I love you too” You sat in his arms for a little before everyone barged into the door.
“What is happening” you heard Fangs shout from across the room.
“Well, uh” you heard the nervousness in Sweet Pea’s voice
“He finally told you didn’t he?”
“Wait Fangs you knew!”
“Well yeah he’s been in love with you for so long I guess it just takes almost dying to get this guy to talk, anyway have fun I’m glad you're okay”
Fangs walked out and you sat there hugging Sweet Pea, you felt safe in his arms. A not so good day turned out to be a great one. You may have almost gotten killed but at least you were finally in a relationship with the love of your life.

Greaser Serpents | Part 2
A/N: I’m planning on doing a five-parter for this one as I love it way too much already. I’ve had a few people asking to be in the tag list, so, if you want to be in the taglist too, just lemme know! :)
Pairing: Sweet Pea x OC (Luna Simmons)
Words: 3054
Warnings: none
Tumblr media
It’s been a good week of rehearsals, and Luna has learned to live with the fact that she has to pretend to love the Southside Serpent that’s become her love interest in the musical they’re doing at Riverdale High. To be completely and truly honest, the entire process of rehearsing and singing and dancing with the entire cast has been so much fun thus far. Even with the Serpents.  “Okay, Luna, I absolutely love everything about that!” Kevin comments when they’ve finished the scene at the peprally where Sandy and Danny see each other again, but Danny’s being a dick about it. “You’re all amazing!” the director exclaims, overexcitedly. “Let’s take five and then we’re doing Greased Lightning,” the entire cast nods and Kevin looks at them for a moment, taking everything in. He’s proud of this entire cast. Proud of him for picking out the right people for the right characters.  Luna as Sandy and Sweet Pea as Danny has been the best idea he’s ever had. Even though they hate each other, the chemistry between them is undeniable. Betty’s the perfect Marty, and Rizzo’s the role of Veronica’s life. Toni as Frenchy and Midge as Jan is the most perfect casting ever. The T-birds are well-cast too. Archie as Kenickie, Jughead as Doody, Fangs as Sonny and Reggie as Putzie. Cheryl plays Patty Simcox and Josie would be Chacha. He had never been prouder of a casting as he was of this one. Those roles are made for his friends and there was no lie in that.
“Can we rehearse lines together tonight?” Betty asks when she and Luna go to sit down in the auditorium. They want to watch the boys perform Greased Lightning and wait for Kevin’s notes on previous scenes too. Luna convinces herself she’s staying to see Archie and Jughead do one of her favorite songs, but in reality, she just wants to see Sweet Pea doing it.  “Yeah, sure! I wanted to ask you to help me with the reprise of Look at me I’m Sandra Dee at the end anyway,” Luna whispers to Betty as Kevin calls action on the boys. Sweet Pea stands in his spot, right next to a block of wood where the car will be during the actual play. For now, the wood would do.  “Why this car could be systematic,” Sweet Pea begins as he takes his Serpent jacket off with the beat of the music that began to play at the same time.  “Hydromatic, ultramatic,” he throws away his jacket and jumps on a table next to the block of wood. Luna’s breath hitches in her throat as she watches him. His biceps flex at every move he makes, and sends shivers down her spine for some reason. Every time he performs one of the songs and his beautiful voice and amazing dancemoves are shown, Luna gets weak in the knees and hates the person he is a little bit less.  “We'll get some overhead lifters and four barrel quads, oh yeah,” Sweet Pea sings in a deep, sultry voice, matching the actual voice of John Travolta. “Keep talking, woah, keep talking” Archie sings his line. “A fuel injection cut off and chrome plated rods, oh yeah,” “I'll get the money, I'll kill to get the money” Archie sings again from his spot on the block. “With a four-speed on the floor, they'll be waitin' at the door You know that it ain't shit, we'll be gettin' lots of tit, greased lightnin'” “Go go go, go go go go go go go go,” All the boys sing as they run towards the wooden block. Fangs, Archie, Reggie and Jughead in front and next to the block, Sweet Pea on top. “Go, greased lightnin', you're burnin' up the quarter mile.” “Greased lightnin', go, greased lightnin'” seeing the boys do the iconic dance moves makes Luna smile a little. This is going to be the greatest musical Riverdale High has ever done. During the instrumental bit, the boys o the choreography Toni had taught them as Sweet Pea hops off the wood and does whatever he’s supposed to do as choreography as well. His eyes meet Luna’s, and he gives her a wink. His biceps flex again, weakening her. They sing the last bit and end up in their pose on the wooden block. “Alright, guys! Let’s get to work!” Sweet Pea says his last line before the girls and Kevin in the audience begin cheering. Luna’s eyes are glued on her Serpent co-star and his glance lands on her as well. He gives her a little smile, and inside even melts a little at the look she’s giving him. Her eyes sparkle. Something has shifted inside her that made her stop looking at him with absolute hatred in her eyes. For some reason, her hazel eyes suddenly look lighter. “Amazing, guys!” Kevin tells them with a wide, toothpaste-commercial-like smile. “Let’s call it a day and assemble tomorrow for the epic dance scene!” he informs them, and everyone starts packing up. Sweet Pea walks up to Luna, leaving all of his friends to head home without him. She smiles up at him as she puts her bag over her shoulder. “How about I treat you to a milkshake at Pop’s and we can go over some lines together?” he suggests with a little smile. Her eyes glance over to Betty, who’s heard what the guy asked, and she gives her neighbor a little nod. They could do their lines some other time. Right now, it’s more important that the two get along. And maybe even a little more. “Yeah, sure,” Luna replies with a smile and the two head outside school together. Outside, it’s chucking down rain, almost making it impossible to see one foot in front of them. “Okay, my car is at the back of the parking lot,” Luna mumbles, annoyed at herself for not coming to school earlier so she’d have a better spot. “Whatever we do, we’re going to get soaking wet,” Sweet Pea mumbles. A smirk appears on Luna’s face as she looks up at the tall Serpent, her glance lingering on the tattoo on his neck. He looks down at her, realizing what she’s thinking, and his expression falters, “Not like that,” he scoffs, rolling his eyes. Luna giggles a little, shaking her head. “Let’s just make a run for it, shall we?” she suggests with a little sigh. Sweet Pea hums in agreement and, as if on automatic, grabs Luna’s hand in his before dashing off into the rain and dragging the Northsider girl with him. Giggles and loud laughs fill the air, almost muting the pattering rain on the pavement. “Get inside!” Luna yells as she lets go of the boy’s hand and clicks the button on her key to open the car. Both of them get inside, each of them soaking wet, but still laughing through it. “Fuck, that’s cold,” Sweet Pea mutters, wiping his hair back that’s now sticking to his head. That beautiful curl that normally sits on his forehead is gone. “Let’s get to Pop’s,” Luna nods and starts her car, driving off through the rain and to their favorite diner.
“Hello, Luna,” Pop greets her with a smile as he arrives at the booth the two had taken a seat in. The blonde girl smiles up at the old man, happy to see him again. “The usual?” Sweet Pea looks at the girl in front of him, a tender smile on his face. Northsiders are so weird with their usual orders at the diner, but it’s kind of sweet too. “Just the strawberry milkshake today, Pop,” she tells him before glancing to the boy. “A vanilla milkshake for me, please,” Sweet Pea orders, looking at the old man now. Luna’s eyebrows furrow. She never expected a serpent like him to be the vanilla-milkshake type. “And some fries to share,” he adds quickly with a smile. Pop nods and leaves the kids alone. Luna still stares at Sweet Pea, the confused look still plastered on her face. “What?” he asks, blushing only a tiny bit. “Nothing, I just didn’t take you for the vanilla-type,” she shrugs and leans back in her seat. “I guess you just don’t know me that well,” Sweet Pea leans forward, his elbows resting on the table in front of him. Luna opens her mouth to say something, but then closes it again. “You might be right. We’re playing the main roles in a musical and have to pretend to be hopelessly devoted to each other, but we don’t even know one another,” she says, more to herself than to Sweet Pea. The guy chuckles and wants to say something, but Pop handing the milkshake and fries interferes with that.   “Thanks, Pop,” Sweet Pea tells the man and Luna gives him a thankful smile before taking the metal straw between her teeth. “So, tell me something about you,” he nudges, staring in her eyes as she looks up from her milkshake. He pops a fry into his mouth. “Why don’t you say what you think about me?” she suggests on playing a game. “Ok…” he mumbles and sips from his beverage once, “I think you’re this clean-cut, straight A-student who has been living on the Northside her entire life. You live in this pastel-pink world where your parents love and pamper you to death and your friends live close to you and you spend every waking hour with them. Or that’s what you want people to think…” he trails off at the last part, his eyes scanning her face. Her flawless face with the freckles decorating her nose and cheeks, and her hazelnut bright eyes. Luna chuckles. “Almost,” she replies and takes a deep breath, “My parents don’t really have time for me as they’re too busy building their empire with Hiram Lodge, which I strongly disagree to, by the way. I tried to stop them, believe me, but I’ve failed,” Sweet Pea shifts in his seat at the mention of Hiram Lodge. He’s the reason why his school was shut down and will be closed soon. “I get straight A’s, but I don’t study that much, I have a gift, people tell me,” she scoffs a little at that. She has no clue how she gets straight A’s without studying for it, but it just happens. “I only ever see my friends at school, except for Betty. She lives next door, so I see her every now and then outside of school too,” Sweet Pea listens intently, a smile tugging at his lips. “Your turn,” he then says and takes another sip from his milkshake while she pops a fry in her mouth. She chews for a moment, thinking about what to stay whilst scanning his face. “You’re this tough-looking guy with the intimidating looks and the aggression and violence, but in reality, you’re actually this big soft teddy bear who cares about his friends and family and would literally die for them,” she rambles, leaving Sweet Pea speechless. “Did I get something wrong?” she asks, raising an eyebrow and grabbing a few fries. “Not at all,” he mumbles, a little shocked she got that spot-on, “I don’t really have a family anymore though, not by blood, I mean. The Serpents are my family. And I know you hate us, and you don’t like our laws, but they took me in when I lost my parents in a tragic accident. I never really thought about leaving them. They’ve raised me and I don’t know anything else but that family and their laws. Even if it makes people hate me,” he explains truthfully. Luna stops in her tracks for a moment and stares at the vulnerable Sweet Pea in front of her. “That’s actually really sweet, Sweet Pea,” she chuckles, “No pun intended.” The boy laughs at that a little and grabs a few more fries. The two talk about their lives for a moment, really getting to know each other. For some bizarre reason, Luna feels attracted to him all of a sudden. It’s like a weird connection has grown between them. Like they now see each other in a completely different light and every single drop of hatred they had towards each other, is just gone. Poof. Like that. With only one milkshake and a shared portion of fries. That’s until a couple of Serpents decide to ruin the party.
“What do we have here?” Fangs asks with a smirk as he and a couple other Serpents reach their table. Luna looks at Sweet Pea for a moment, and she can tell he’s getting embarrassed for being caught with a Northsider at Pop’s. “We’re just rehearsing lines, Fogarty,” Sweet Pea grumbles, his fist clenching on the table. “Over milkshakes and fries?” he asks, “This looks more like a date than anything else,” Fangs laughs, making the other Serpents laugh too as if on cue. Luna rolls her eyes at the Serpents, sick of their attitude all the time. They may be family, but they’re still annoying as hell. And most of all, she hates how they treat Northsiders. How they treat her. “It’s nothing, Fangs. You really think I would go on a date with a Northsider?” Sweet Pea asks, only to break Luna’s heart a little. She actually feels it break then and there. Physical pain courses through her chest, and she’d much rather be at home rehearsing lines with Betty instead of this gross, toxic masculinity-filled asshole. Fangs looks at Luna for a moment, feeling sorry for her. She actually seems nice. Why can’t Sweet Pea stand up for her like he should? He knows they’re only teasing him. “Sorry, bro,” Fangs holds up his hands in defense, “You’re coming to the Whyte Wyrm for a game of pool?” Sweet Pea’s eyes glance over at Luna. She’d sunk into her seat, arms crossed and glaring at him. If looks could kill, Sweet Pea would be bleeding to death now. “Yeah, I’ll be there in a moment,” he replies, his voice low. Fangs and the Serpents go to the counter to grab their order from Pop and leave the co-stars alone in the booth. “Luna, I—” he begins to make up some lame excuse, but Luna isn’t having any of it. “You’re always going to be the same, aren’t you?” she asks, “You open up to me about your family and make me believe you’re actually this sweet, vulnerable guy when in reality you’re just the typical chauvinistic macho who thinks he could make girls go weak in the knees,” Sweet Pea sinks in his seat, head hung low. “Isn’t that true, Sweet Pea? Well, sucks for you, but I’m not one of those girls who would fall for your macho-traits. I’m not Sandy,” she stands up, grabbing her bag and shaking her head at him as he’s sulking into his embarrassment. “See you at rehearsals,” she mumbles before leaving him at the diner. Sweet Pea sighs deeply, shaking his head at what had just happened. He hates himself for letting the girl go. For once, he was opening up to someone, letting someone see a more vulnerable side of him. She finally stopped looking at him  like he was a culprit, a criminal. She finally looked at him like he was human.  “Stranded at the drivin', branded a fool What will they say Monday at school?” he mumbles his lines from his solo song. He wanted to rehearse that scene with Luna, but since that won’t happen anymore, he might as well rehearse the song on his own. “Sandy, can't you see I'm in misery? We made a start, now we're apart There's nothing left for me,” he gets up from his seat, whacks some cash on the table and leaves the diner. Fangs looks at him for a moment, sympathy arising inside of him. This is all his fault. He shouldn’t have come between the two.   “Love has flown, all alone I sit and wonder why yi-yi-yi Oh why you left me, oh Sandy, oh Sandy,” he thinks about the conversation they just had and how he could be so stupid to let Fangs get underneath his skin. He could’ve just told him the truth. He could’ve told her the truth. “Baby, someday, when high school is done Somehow, someway, our two worlds will be one In heaven forever and ever we will be Oh, please say you'll stay, oh, Sandy” He walks towards the Northside and stops at Riverdale High where he sees Luna with her friends, talking. She seems angry, probably yelling at Betty about what had happened at the diner. Tears come rushing down her cheeks, and he’s left wondering whether they’re tears of anger or sadness. “Sandy, my darlin' You hurt me real bad You know it's true But, baby, you gotta believe me when I say I'm helpless without you” The boy now makes his way towards the auditorium where he continues to sing his solo. For once in the entire rehearsing-process, he’s really feeling what he’s singing. For once, he’s truly realizing that the crush on his co-star might not just be a crush. But he can’t date a Northsider, can he? He’s a Southside Serpent. He would be ridiculed, and she would be bullied into joining the Serpents and thus doing the dance. “Love has flown, all alone, I sit I wonder why yi-yi-yi, Oh why You left me, Oh Sandy Sandy, Sandy Why yi-yi-yi” She can’t do the Serpent dance. No one is supposed to see her like that. Not before he has. Not before he has told her what he truly feels for her. How the hatred he felt towards her, has disappeared the moment she began singing that first day of rehearsals. “Oh Sandy,” he mumbles the last words with his hands in his hair. Applause makes him jump out his thoughts, his eyes wide as he looks into the audience. “I’m glad you’re rehearsing on your own, man,” Kevin tells him with a smile, “Wish everyone was as dedicated as you.” He’s oblivious to what had just happened. Oblivious to the feelings Sweet Pea has for Luna. Oblivious to what he sang was actually felt deep inside of him.

Sweetvee 41&61
I’ve been working on this one for four nights, I hope you like it, xx
Please continue to sent requests from this list of prompt!
41. “Who the hell do you think you are? My dad?”
61. “I’ve had enough.”
.
It was mid December when Veronica Lodge walked in the Whyte Wyrm looking, white snowflakes covering her black cape. She removed her hood and kicked the snow off her heeled boots. Her dark brown eyes scanned the bar, searching for a familiar blonde head but, she wasn’t present.
The raven haired girl sighed discouragingly. She had been searching for her best friend all night and the Wyrm was the last place on her list.
Where are you Betty?
“I think your chauffeur took the wrong direction.”
“Excuse me?”
“Northside is opposite way, Princess.”
Veronica turned around, catching sight of a very tall Serpent. “Sweet Pea,” she acknowledged.
“Mobster Princess.”
Usually, Veronica would’ve chuckled at the dark humor but, not tonight. Her night had been eventful and she didn’t have the heart for a laugh.
It took Sweet Pea one glance at the rich girl for him to catch on that something was up. He gave his cue stick to another Serpent and made his way over to her.
Sweet Pea wouldn’t call her a friend but she was definitely not a stranger. He had seen her before in the halls at school and at Jughead’s birthday party and always thought she was an uptight rich bitch that didn’t think farther than the tip of her nose. It was the vibe he got from her. His opinion changed when he found her crying in her fancy dress outside the school at Homecoming.
The reason of her tears: Archie Andrews.
That idiot had been making out with Valerie Brown backstage after his musical number and Kevin had caught them. Being the loyal friend he was, he immediately told Veronica about her boyfriend’s tongue jumping the fence.
Sweet Pea had sat with her on the cement stairs and let her cry on his shoulder, his unfinished cigarette crushed by his feet. He wasn’t good at comforting people and had no idea what to do but he couldn’t leave her by herself.
“Fuck him. It’s his loss if he want to trade a ten for a six.”
Later than night, they ended up hooking up in his trailer.
“Is everything okay?” Sweet Pea stood in front of her, raising a worried brow.
Veronica looked up and smiled tightly. “Yeah. I’m good.”
“Bullshit.”
She opened her mouth to argue but closed it. He already knew she was lying.
Eyes were on them as they stood in the middle of the Serpent bar. Her raven hair and the pearls around her neck gave her identity away. Or, maybe it was the fancy handbag resting in the crevice of her elbow.
Sweet Pea put a hand behind her lower back and led her to the bar, taking the attention away from them. “Want anything?” he asked her.
“The strongest you have.”
“We’ll take two shot of vodka and another beer,” he told Hog Eye.
The man nodded and poured their drinks, handing them to the young Serpent. Sweet Pea took the drinks in his hands and led Veronica to an empty table at the back of the bar. They sat down and Veronica immediately reached for the shot glass, downing its content without grimacing.
“What did Andrews do again?”
Veronica knitted her eyebrows. “How did you-”
“When is Andrews not the reason why you’re upset?”
“Thouché.”
“So,” Sweet Pea started, taking a sip of his beer. “What brought the mobster princess on snake territory?”
Chuckling, Veronica removed her cape coat, revealing a black top with an embellished collar. “It’s over. Archie and I. I came here in hope to find Betty but, clearly, she isn’t here.”
“Until when this time? Monday morning?” he joked, knowing Archie and Veronica always get back together despite their several breakups.
“No. I mean it this time. I’ve had enough. Archie is a boy, he’ll never change his juvenile attitude. We went on a movie date at the Bijou tonight and his phone went off during the movie. Moodkill, I know. I thought it was Jughead or his dad but no, it was a notification from Tinder. I almost let it slide because, maybe he had made a profile we were broken up and forgot to delete the app but then, I realized you don’t get notifications from people who swiped right unless you pay for the app. So, he’s still paying although we are dating. You’re probably thinking he’s done fucking up for the night but, listen closely, it gets worse. He opened the damn notification right there, in the middle of our date. This is totally unacceptable. I was furious.”
Out of all the shitty things Archie has done, checking Tinder during a date was probably the worse. It was beyond disrespectful toward Veronica - his girlfriend. To her, the betrayal hurt more than all the times he cheated on her behind her back. At least, then, she didn’t have to witness her boyfriend smiling at whatever that bitch on the other side was writing.
“Andrews really surpassed himself this time, uh.” Sweet Pea laughed at the Bulldog’s lack of brain, shaking his head. “I can’t believe he opened Tinder right in front of you. It’s like he’s silently saying you’re his side bitch.”
Talking about the beast, Veronica’s phone went off, Archie’s name flashing on the screen. She flipped the device over and ignored it. She tried to but, Archie didn’t get the hint and kept calling again and again which infuriated Veronica.
She sighed dramatically. “Oh my god, will he ever stop?”
“He might have orange hair, he’s not the brightest crayon of the box.”
Veronica stifled a laugh, smirk curving on the Serpent’s lips.
“This is it. He’s gonna have a taste of his own money.” She grabbed her phone and for a second, Sweet Pea though she was giving in and answering Archie’s call, she pulled it up in front of the Serpent. “Please, hold the pose,” she said, and snapped a picture, adding a cute filter and posting it on Instagram with the caption: ‘fun night with my new bae’, knowing Archie has her social medias notifications turned on. “Should’ve known not to mess with a Lodge.”
She knew Archie despised Serpents but, mostly their guard dog Sweet Pea. The two strong headed teenagers had gotten into quite a few fights together over the past year. Jughead had tried his best to keep the peace between the two clans but, he couldn’t do miracles. They even got souvenirs from their opponent. A scar below the eye for Sweet Pea and a chipped tooth for Archie. The rivalry between the two sides of town is nothing new but, ever since they merged the two schools together, both boys started a secret contest for the most powerful alpha and, needless to say, it didn’t impress anyone. If anything, it got them to spend more time together in detention.
“I bet if we go outside we’ll see him fuming from here.”
She watched as Sweet Pea took another sip of his beer, his shot of vodka still untouched in front of him. “Are you going to take it?” The Serpent hummed. “The shot.”
“I intended to, yes.”
“I’ll go get myself another round, then.”
The raven haired girl stood and headed to the bar to order more drinks. A minute later, she come back to she and Sweet Pea’s table with a crimson colored cosmo.
“I thought you were getting more shots?”
“It’s coming,” she replied with a fierce smile, glancing back at the bar.
Sweet Pea followed her gaze, seeing Hog Eye pouring what seemed to be tequila in several shot glasses which was much less forgiving than vodka. Both will get you drunk pretty fast; vodka will make dance on tables for a few minutes before ending with your head down the toilet while tequila will increase your bad decisions and you’ll wake up in the morning, having no clue what happened the night before.
“Not to pop your bubble but, I’m not drinking any more shots. I need to take my bike home.”
Hog Eye deposed the tray on their table and returned to the bar, flashing Sweet Pea a knowing look. The younger Serpent ignored it. He could bet his life that more than half the population of the Wyrm expected him to take Hiram Lodge’s daughter back to his trailer tonight. They’re all gonna be disappointed because it wasn’t on tonight’s agenda. He wouldn’t oppose to having sex with Veronica but, it wasn’t what she needed tonight. She needed someone to listen to her rants and change her mind from the ginger Judas that is Archie Andrews.
She shrugged, picking one shot glass and downing it before biting into a piece of lime. “More for me.”
“You’re not drinking all of this.”
Veronica scoffed. “Who the hell do you think you are? My dad?”
In true Sweet Pea fashion, he would’ve responded with a dirty comeback like: ’Not yet’ or ’No, but I can be your daddy if you want’ but, he didn’t.
“Drowning your sorrows in alcohol isn’t the way to go. Been there, done that. You’ll feel like death tomorrow if you get shitfaced.”
Holding the Serpent’s gaze, Veronica tasted her cosmo. “Would you happen to have another solution to propose? I’m all ears,” she said, pulling her bottom lip between her teeth as she let her heeled boot crawling up Sweet Pea’s leg, stopping right by his crotch.
Sweet Pea hissed, grabbing hold of Veronica’s foot. “I wasn’t going to suggest it but…if that’s really what you want.” If she was looking for a rebound from Andrews, that was a role he’d willingly play. He had been looking for an occasion to bang her again ever since she left his bed the morning after Homecoming.
She grinned behind her drink, loving the grip the older boy had on her. One major thing she liked about sex with Sweet Pea was that he wasn’t afraid to be rough with her. Not too rough but just enough, something Archie was never willing to do.
Just like going down on her. The Bulldog was a selfish boy that clearly didn’t care enough about his partner to give her single pleasure.
Veronica wasn’t going to lie, the alcohol was starting to kick in, the mix of vodka and tequila feeling warm in her belly. She wasn’t drunk but, she had drank just enough to feel confident and sexy - more than usual.
“Shall we head out?” she asked, arching a perfectly plucked eyebrow. Sweet Pea let go of Veronica’s foot and slide out of his seat, waiting for the raven haired girl to do the same. She put her cape back on and downed the rest of her cosmo. “Lead the way.”

Barchie, 4 kids under 4 (Future Fic)
“Yeah mom, the kids are great. Signed Fenix up for preschool so he’ll start that when summers over.” Archie spoke to his mom over the phone as he drove to work “How are the twins?” She asked Archie smiled shaking his head “They’re alright. Potty training is, well it’s going. Presley, well you know how much of a firecracker she is she insists on not needing any help. Parker, on the other hand, will only go if I’m home. I keep telling Betty we can hold off if she wants to but she insists since Fenix was trained at their age they shouldn’t be deprived of it just because there’s a new baby in the house “ he explained “And How is my newest grandson?” Mary asked, Archie, knew she was probably grinning from ear to ear “Fleming is doing pretty good, getting bigger every day. His 2 month check up is tomorrow. I’m going to try and schedule my lunch break around going so I can help Betty” he explained “How is she?” Mary asked Archie shook his head “You know how B is, she’s determined. I’m actually worried about her. Four kids under 4 by herself all day long. I’ve suggested hiring someone To help but she says no and Veronica has her new baby so for her to come over would mean another baby in the house which would be more stress” he explained There was a small pause “If you want I’ll take off work and come help for a few days” his mother offered “I appreciate it but Betty would never go for it. She keeps saying we had these kids I don’t need to make it someone else’s burden to help us” he explained A nervous laugh rang through “Poor dear, that sounds like her though. Her mother isn’t offering to help?” Archie let out a sigh “No, she says we got into this mess by having so many kids so close together we can get ourselves out.” He made a turn into the parking lot “Listen, mom, I’m at work I’ll call you later, love you” “Love you too sweetie, have a good day”
Betty let out a sigh looking down at her newest child—Fleming, after Ian Fleming the author of the James Bond series. It was her idea, Archie had named Fenix and Presley after the guitar and the singer, she had named Parker and Fleming after famous authors. Plus it gave them a theme of two of their kids having F names and 2 having P names. The 2-month-old was currently getting his “morning boob” as Archie called it while the other 3 were downstairs in the playroom. She had just finished feeding them their breakfast and hoped today would be an easy day. She smiled down at her baby, the past 8 weeks had flown by and she felt like they hadn’t been able to ‘treasure’ Baby Fleming as much as the others due to the craziness that came with his 3 slightly older siblings. Fleming looked different then his siblings his eyes were dark blue, unlike the twins who’s were a bright blue and Fenix who had Archie’s brown eyes. The baby had tuffs of strawberry blonde hair leaving them to wonder if his hair would get lighter and be blonde like his brother, darker and be red like his sisters or stay the color it was now and have his own unique shade since none of her babies had, had this shade of hair. The infant released her breast from his mouth then looked up at her. She smiled “All done, already?” She cooed “Okay Mommy will burp you” she moved him to her shoulder and began patting his back. Then she heard the pitter patter of little feet making their way up the stairs, the door swung open and Fenix walked in “Mommy!” He piped “Yes” Betty nodded toward her firstborn He set his hands on her knees “I’m hungry!” Betty shook her head “You already had 2 waffles” Fenix nodded “But I want a hamburger let’s go to Pops” “Fenix it’s not even 9:30 Pops isn’t even serving lunch yet” she explained Fenix tilted his head “Well maybe we can go at lunchtime and daddy can meet us” Betty slouched her shoulders, ever since the baby had been born and she had been on maternity leave from her job as a Crime scene investigator Archie had picked up a double at his job at the record label. So he wasn’t home as much as he used to be “I know you miss daddy huh” she ran her fingers through her 4-year-olds blonde locks Fenix nodded “a lot” She leaned down placing a kiss on the top of his head. Then there was a crash quickly Betty jumped up which must have startled the newborn because he began to wail. “What was that?” Fenix shrugged “Presley and Parker were climbing on the bookcase” he informed her “And you didn’t tell me” she spoke over the still crying baby she set him down in the bouncer hoping it would smooth him for her, quickly she made her way down the stairs through the kitchen and to the playroom. There the 2-year-old red headed twin girls stood surrounded by at least 30 books the bookshelf empty from them pulling all of them off and throwing them around the room “Girls!!” She pinched the bridge of her nose “Mama read story!” Presley said holding up a random book Betty shook her head and bent down beginning to put the books away “No, you don’t throw books you take one book off the shelf at a time ladies. Now help me put these books back” she instructed trying to teach the toddlers proper skills. The little girls were gathering books and aiding Betty. She had almost all the books neatly placed back on the shelf when “Mommmayyy” Fenix yelled from upstairs Betty rolled her eyes “Fei, we are not going to Pops today so don’t ask again” she instructed “The Baby throwed up!” Fenix shouted back Betty immediately ran up the stairs to the nursery, finding her older son standing in front of the bouncer looking at her younger one “See” he pointed Betty stepped further into the room and saw the infant with white spit up dripping off his chin. His onesie along with his arms, legs and the padding on the bouncer covered in white liquid “Ugh Fleming, I’m going to have to give you a bath ” she groaned carefully picking up the baby “He was crying then he throwed up then he stopped” Fenix informed her Betty nodded “Why don’t you go downstairs and entertain your sisters in the playroom while I bathe your brother” Betty suggested “Can I play my guitar for them?” Fenix asked Betty nodded “Sure whatever just don’t let them get into the books again and you don’t do anything your not supposed to either, okay?” Fenix didn’t respond as he rushed out of the room to go retrieve his guitar
“Alright my little handsome boy you are all clean,” Betty said as she finished drying off the fresh smelling baby on the changing mat. He let out a coo in response Betty pulled out her phone and quickly took a picture of the baby wrapped in a towel before changing him into a onesie. She sent the photo to Archie. She knew he missed being with the kids and tried to send pictures when she could of them while he was at work. She glanced at the time 11:30 she would need to start lunch for the other kids soon. Nap time couldn’t come fast enough. Cradling Fleming in her arms she went downstairs to the playroom. Letting out a sigh of relief. Fenix sat on the floor strumming the guitar while the toddlers watched on with glee. Noted Fenix was playing very noisily (he was 4 he didn’t exactly know how to play the guitar) and he also had stripped off his clothes leaving him in only his underwear (a habit her and Archie were trying to break him off before he started school in a few months) she decided to leave them be and not complain. She set Fleming down in his swing positioning it toward the kitchen so she could see him as she prepared lunch. She popped some frozen Dinosaur chicken tenders into the oven and cut some apples. Once the tenders were done she divided the food onto 3 little plastic plates and made 3 cups of apple juice She glanced over at the swing Fleming was sound asleep. Gently she moved the swing out of the kitchen so his older siblings wouldn’t wake him when they came to eat. Then she went to the playroom only to find it completely empty she paused in her steps “Fenix, Presley, Parker?” “Mama!!” She heard the voice of one of her twins “We here” came the shout of another little girl She followed the direction of their voices spotting Fenix in the Hall sitting with his guitar, still in only his underwear “Fenix can you please put on some clothes” Fenix shook his head “But mommy I already telled you I like being naked” he groaned Betty shook her head he definitely was his father’s son “Where’re your sisters?” She asked Fenix shrugged “They wouldn’t listen to me play anymore I think they went potty” Quickly Betty dashed to the bathroom “Damn it” she groaned, the girls both have their big girl underwear off, there were puddles of pee on the ground caused by one of both of them, they had gotten into the shampoo squirting it all over the bathtub “Damn!” Presley piped Betty shook her head “Don’t say that” she waved a finger “Girls why didn’t you tell mommy you had to go potty, I would have helped you” she stepped into the bathroom and picked up the empty shampoo bottle. The girls were clean but their underwear were soaked “I go potty for daddy” Parker crosses her arms and puckered out her lip “Yes, I know you do anything daddy says “ she rolled her eyes “We big mama” Presley added jumped to hug Betty She patted her daughters back “Yeah you are, I’ll take care of this mess later. Let’s get you two ready for lunch” she leaned down picking up both girls Betty entered the kitchen to see Fenix sitting on the table trying to eat his chicken nuggets with his feet “Fenix you are a boy, not a monkey, sit in a chair, use your fingers to eat and please will you at least put on pants?” She pleaded setting the girls down in their booster seats Fenix groaned sliding into a chair “Mommy you’re no fun” he grumbled Betty sighed as she hurried into the bathroom quickly cleaning it and making her way out just as the kids were finishing their lunches. Thankfully nothing had happened while she was gone. She unbuckled the girls, wiping their faces before setting them on the ground. Fenix wiped his own face and got up out of the seat. Barbara was beginning to clear the table when she noticed from the corner of her eye the twins making a beeline for their sleeping baby brother. “Oh no you don’t,” she said quickly scooping both of them up under her arms “You are not poking at the baby and waking him up. In fact, I think it’s time all of you take a nap” she said Fenix shook his head “Please mommy can I stay up?” He pleaded Betty looked at his big brown eyes as he fluttered them at her, a trick he definitely picked up from Archie to get his way. Betty sighed “Fine you can stay up, but it’s still going to be quiet time. You’re just gonna be watching a movie” she pointed Fenix nodded Betty quickly went up the stairs putting the twins down for a nap then come back downstairs to see what movie Fenix had picked out. ‘High School Musical’ she wasn’t surprised oddly it was her son’s favorite movie. She pressed play, once he was settled she went into the kitchen and began setting the lunch dishes away, she eyed the sink, the dishes from breakfast were still in there as well. The only thing she had eaten today was a couple bites of a cold waffle. There were 3 loads of laundry that needed to be done, the playroom was a mess. The bathroom could probably use a better cleaning from the girls’ mess than the quick one she had done and since Fleming was still exclusively breastfeeding she was up at least 3 times a night feeding him so a nap couldn’t hurt. She chuckled ‘Yeah right Betty a nap? Who are you kidding ‘ As if on cue Fleming began grunting, Betty made it into the living room and picked him up right before he began crying. She knew he was hungry so she sat down on the couch next to Fenix, who was now drifting off to sleep as ‘Get your head in the game’ played on the screen. She began feeding the baby, once he was finished she burped him then changed his diaper and set him on the playmat to do the crucial ‘Tummy Time’
Fred Andrews had spoken to his son and ex-wife this morning about how things had been going at his son and daughter in laws house. It was Mary who had suggested he come over. Since he got off work early and literally lived less than a five-minute drive away he figured it wasn’t a bad idea. He gave the door a couple knocks before it opened slowly. His grandson appeared “Papa!” Fenix said happily swinging the door open and jumping into his arms “Hiya Sport” Fred smiled ruffling the boy’s blonde hair “Where’s your mom?” He questioned “Shh mommy sleeping” Fenix held a finger to his lips Fred furrowed his eyebrows but stepped into the house, closing the door softly behind him. He set Fenix down and followed him to where he led him to the living room. There Betty sat on the couch, asleep. Fleming was on his play mat looking up at the toys above him cooing happily. “Where’re your sisters?” Fred asked “Napping, it hasn’t been that long but mommy is sleepy I think,” he told her Fred nodded and went toward the woman he had known since she was almost his oldest grandchild’s age “Betty,” he said softly shaking her Betty immediately jumped “Fred? You scared me. Did I fall asleep?” She jumped up “Oh God don’t look at my house it’s a mess.” She went to the kitchen to start doing the dishes until Fred caught her “Sweetheart are you okay “ Betty nodded “Yeah but I gotta do the dishes before the girls wake Up” she attempted to move but Fred continued to hold her “Betty let me help, I’ll clean or take a couple of the kids to the park for a bit. Whatever I can do” Betty shook her head “I can do it” Fred looked at her “How about this?” He dug into his pocket handing her a piece of paper Betty looked over it. “This is for a weekend stay at that 5-star hotel that just opened up on the upscale end of town” Fred nodded “I want you and Archie to pick a weekend and go——-soon.” Betty looked over the pamphlet “This is a package deal, I can’t—-we can’t accept this” she attempted to give it back but Fred shook his head “Sweetie I want to you to go you need it. You and Archie need a weekend of no babies or work or stress. Trust me, when you let life get in the way of your focus on each other it can be too late once you realize it” She knew he was referring to his marriage with Mary “But the kids—“ Fred cut her off “I already talked to Mary, whatever weekend you choose we will both take care of the kids together, we’ll even stay at the house so you don’t have to worry about packing bags for them” he explained Betty stared down at the pamphlet “Thank you” she let out a sigh before wrapping Fred in a tight hug. “In the meantime why don’t I take Fenix to Pops for a milkshake?” “Yay Pops!!!”Fenix exclaimed overhearing from the living room and running into the kitchen causing both Betty and Fred to laugh.

Chapter 10 – Where do we go from here?
Sweet Pea was half asleep when he reached out for Angel only to find her space on the bed empty, he felt a sudden panic, jumping up and shouting “ANGEL?”
“Don’t worry Sweets I’m still here, I just went to get a glass of water, and I didn’t want to wake you,” Angel said standing at the bedroom door in nothing but his T-shirt, he smiles feel relieved that last night wasn’t a dream, she was real, and she was here with him. He holds out his hand, she smiles and takes it, climbing on the bed and on to his lap, wrapping her leg around his waist. She smiles and starts making circler shapes with her finger on his chest, it felt like for both of them nothing has changed, the last two weeks didn’t happen, but they knew deep down no matter how much they love this moment they had to face the outside world soon.
He watches smiling, enjoying the feel of her touch, Angel looks up when she feels his stare and smiles. “What?” Sweets Pea tilts his head and smiles “there something I’ve been waiting two weeks to say to you.” Angels smile disappears, and she drops her eyes from his “What that?” He let out a sigh, grabs her chin and lifts it to make her look him in the eye, she looked scared, worried like he was going to say he couldn’t be with her anymore, that her past was too much for him, instead he smiles and goes.
“I love you too.”
Angel smile almost take Sweets Pea breath away it was so bright and happy, all the worry and sadness had gone from her eyes. She lunges forward and kisses him hard, he returns her kiss eagerly. After a few minutes, the pull apart Sweet rest his head against hers smiling.
She pulls back a little to look at his face, lifting a finger to trace his healing black eyes, she smirks “Let me guess FP?”
He laughs taking her hand off his face and holding it against his chest, “You guessed right FP kind of kept to his promise. He didn’t kill me because we fell in love and it wasn't just a one night stand, but he couldn't let me get off without a black eye, you know he has a reputation to protect.”
They both laughed at this, Sweet Pea lets a sad little sigh.
“You do know as much as I want to stay here with you forever, we can’t.”
Angel laughs and nods, “No we can’t.” She lets out a groan, closes her eyes for a moment, once she opened them again, she gives Sweet a serious look, “Hand me your phone its time get everyone together and let them know I’m home.”
Sweet Pea looked at her confused “Why my phone?” Angel smile and shrugs “I might have kind of threw it in a lake out of anger.” He tried not to laugh “Might of?” she pouts “Shut up and give me your phone serpent boy.”
He laughs and hands her, his phone, she takes it and does a mass text to everyone.
Got a lead on where Angel is, come to the Whyte Wyrm.
She hands him, his phone back and gives him a confused look “Why do you have my parent’s number?” Sweets take the phone and shrugs “Everyone wanted to be kept informed if we got any lead or even found you.” He avoids her eyes, she felt a ping of guilt in her gut. Angel told herself she had to leave to give herself time to think and give them time to process what had happened. However, that wasn’t initially true a big part of it was she was being a coward and didn’t want to see the sadness and pity on their faces.
She cups his face with her hand, moving it to look at her, the sadness in his eye almost broke her heart. “I’m so sorry Sweets, I wasn’t thinking. I just needed to get away I was scared, and I need time to myself.” He places his hand on top of hers, holding it in place and close his eyes, “I understand Princess, and so does your friends and family, they’re not angry with you, they just want to know you’re safe and healthy.”
She smiles and brings him closer to give him a gentle kiss, “I know so get dressed, we can’t keep them waiting any longer.” Before get off him to get dressed.
(20 minutes later)
They were standing outside the Whyte Wyrm, Angel had tight hold of Sweets hand, looking at the bar. She didn’t know why she was so nervous they were her family, but that didn’t her stomach from doing summersaults.
“Hey.” She turns to look at Sweet Pea, who give her a reassuring smile, which calms her a little “Don’t worry Angel, I’m right beside you.” She smiles back “Always serpent boy?” he lifts her hand and gives it a kiss “Always Princess.”
With that they make their way inside, Sweet Pea was in front of her so that no one could see her.
“Hey Sweet Pea, what this lead you found.” Angel held back a tear when she heard her father’s voice for the first time in two weeks, she missed it so much. Sweet Pea smiled at them all “Why don’t you see for yourself.” He moves aside so the whole room could now see her. Angel look around to see everyone shocked faces, till her eye landed on her dad, Fred didn’t know what to think, he thought he was daydream like he had done countless of time in the last two weeks. It wasn’t till she said “Hey daddy.” That he crumbled, letting out the tears he has held in since she left and ran at her, engulfing her in a tight hug, breathing her in, she wraps her arms around him and let out a sob.
She had missed these hugs so much, the one that always made her feel safe and protected, since as long as she can remember. After what seemed like eternity Fred reluctantly let go, he pulled away and smiled down at her, she smiled back and turned to her mum.
“Hey, Mum.” Mary smile through her tears “Oh my baby girl, I have missed you so much.” Before replacing Fred place to hug Angel, she returns the hug and pats her back “I missed you too, mum.” Mary pulls away and places her hand on Angel's face to get a good look at her after a while she smiles happily to see her daughter is healthy and has taken care of herself the last two weeks.
Angel moves slightly to look over her mother shoulder at the one other person she missed the most, her twin, who was staring at her, trying to think of something to say, but he was afraid of saying the wrong thing. Angel smiled like she could read his thoughts “It ok Arch, you don’t have to say anything, I know what you feel because I feel it too. I just need you to come and hug me.”
Archie didn’t need anything else, he runs toward her and picks her up, holding her tightly against his chest, feel relieved and at peace a little. The last two weeks have been hell and the longest the twins have gone without talking, even when she went to New York they Facetimed, texted or phoned nearly every day.  That what made this whole situation ten times worse for Archie, he took pride in sensing his sister emotions being the only one to know what she’s feeling all the time and vice versa.
However, he was wrong because he didn’t sense them when it truly mattered when Angel was hurting the most, and she had to go through this awful ordeal by herself, and this is something he could never forgive himself for.
“Don’t.” Archie pulls back slightly to look at her, she gives him a sad smile and places a hand on his face gently “Don’t blame yourself for not see or sensing what was wrong with me, I hid it pretty well, Arch, you know I love you.” She closes her eye for a moment to fight back the tears, she opens them, tilts her head and smiles at him.
“Do you remember what you said to me when we were 8, and I caught you hiding all the newspapers from me?”
He laughs through his tears, nods and places his hand on her face, stroking her cheeks with his thumbs. “Yeah, you wanted them for your history assignment about what going on in the world. You were so mad and asked why I was hiding them, and I said Angelica you have one of the kindest and purest hearts. I don’t want the world evilness taint someone so beautifully caring, it is my job as your brother to protect you.”
She smiles and take his hand off her face but still holds onto them, “You did a brilliant job protecting me for a long time but..” she turns to look at everyone in the room as to show she’s also talking to them. “There is some evil in this world, you don’t see before it too late, and you can’t protect me from that.”
It was silent for a moment after that, FP clears his throat, and everyone turns to look at him. “Maybe we should sit down, there a lot we have to talk about and a lot of question that need to be answered.”
(10 minutes later)
They have been sat in silence for ten minutes now no one knowing where to start. Angel had Sweet Pea to her right hold her hand under the table and her dad on her left. The longer the silence went on, Angel’s anxiety got worse. Sweet Pea gives her hand a little squeeze, she turns to look at him, he smiles at her as to say it ok, and I’m here calm down. She smiles and squeezes his hand back.
“We’re not getting anywhere just sitting here, so why don’t we start off by asking where have you been for the last two weeks,” Betty asked.
Angel smiled silently thanking her for starting off easy. “Ok, for the first week I was staying at my friend Melinda apartment in New York, she not a friend any of you know or Tommy. She was an artist who liked my pictures during my first gala, and she’s lovely and kind she helped me out a lot.”
She looks up to see everyone nodding along, so she carries on.
“The second week I staying at some motel just outside Greendale, that’s why I ordered the Fake ID so I could get a job at a diner, get some money and not draw any attention to myself. Nevertheless, I knew I had to stop running away it wasn’t fair on any of you so that why I decided to come back.”
“Why did you text off Sweet Pea phone?” Fangs asked confused, Angel turned to Sweet Pea who was looking at Fangs like he was debating how he was going to murder him. Angel looked down avoiding everyone eyes, feeling the blush creeping up her face.
“Erm, I broke my phone in a temper.”
Toni tried to hide a smile, oh hell no, was she going to make this easy for them, “Still doesn’t explain why you texted off his phone, how did he find you.”
All the adult looked confused, but the teens were all trying to hide their smiles at Sweets and Angel uncomfortableness. She knew they would let it go so she bit the bullet.
“I technically came back to town last night, and Sweet Pea was the first person I went to see.”
Realisation dawn on the adults face, Fred took a deep breath “You came back last night, but we didn’t hear from you till this morning?” Angel look at him quick, then back down at the table “Yes daddy.”
Sweet Pea made a mistake to look up at Fred and FP who looked like they were ready to rip his head off, he looked down, he was defiantly going to make his friend pay for this if he was going down they were coming down with him.
Luckily Mary knew this wasn’t the time to discusses her daughter relationship so she places a hand on her husband shoulder “I don’t think now is the time to talk about their relationship, we should be thankful she’s home.” Fred closed his eyes, took a deep breath and nodded “Yeah your right Mary.”
Angel looked up and mouthed to her mum “Thank you.” Mary smile and nods, FP knew they were trying to avoid the elephant in the room, but they can’t move forward till they find out what Angel wants to do.
“What do you want to do about St Clair?”
Angel let out a sigh and looked at the group, she knew what they wanted her to do, but she couldn’t give them what she wanted. “Nothing.”
“WHAT DO YOU MEAN NOTHING?” Archie shouted Mary hold her hand up to him “Calm down Archie, this is up to your sister, so let her explain why before you get angry.”
Angel smiled, she really missed her mum, and she was the best at playing mediator between the twins and her dad. “Thank you Mum, and to answer you Arch.” She took a deep breath, squeezing Sweet hand to calm herself down a little before looking at the group.
“What Nick did to me, I will never truly heal from or forget no matter what I do, and I hate him for that.” Archie looked like he wanted to interrupt, she holds her hand up to stop him “But if I take him to court, I have to relive every moment of that night and so will you guys.” She wipes the tear that had fallen down her face, “Also I don’t want him to know about the baby, it was mine something he can’t take from me, and I don’t want him or his lawyer to taint their memory by making lies about me. Please understand.”
Everyone is quiet letting what she said to sink in, Mary reached across the table to hold her daughter's hand. Angel looked up to see she was trying to fight the tears as well, she wanted to kill this boy for hurting her baby. Her sweet, kind little girl but Angel wasn’t a child anymore, and this was her battle all she could do was support her.
“We’ll support you, Angel, no matter what, just promise no more running away or keep thing to yourself because you’re worried about our feeling.” Angel nodded “Promise,” she turned to her dad and give him a sad smile “Am I still your little princess, daddy?”
Fred let out a sob, he leans forward and grips Angel face in his hand, he could see the worry and sadness in her eyes. He takes a deep breath to control his emotions and smiles at her “Angelica Andrews, there is nothing you could ever do or say that will stop me seeing you as my little princess, and what happened wasn’t your fault. I love you and your brother more than anything in this world.”
She let out a sob, letting go of Sweet Pea hand so Fred could pull her closer to hold, stroking her head like he did when she younger and got hurt or upset. After a few minutes, she pulls away. Angel turns to the group and smiled, she knew they had things they wanted to say but last hour has drained her.
“I know you all have questions or things you want to say, but right now I just want to go home and sleep.” They all nod understandingly, so one by one they got up and hugged her tell them they missed her and glad she’s back. Her parents and Arch said they wait outside, so only she and Sweet Pea were left, they had their hand interlocked, smile at each other.
“So…” she laughs “So that was a start.” He laughs pulling her closer, wrapping his arms around her waist, she moves her hand to wrap around her neck. “Yep, defiantly a start, I’m going to kill Toni and Fangs though.” She laughs leaning her head against her chest, “Yeah that if FP doesn’t kill you first.” They both laugh, she looks back up at him.
“Sweet Pea what are we now?”
Sweet Pea raises an eyebrow at her, “I thought we decided this when we admitted we loved each other.” She smiled at him cutely avoid the question. “So we’re boyfriend and girlfriend?” Sweets laugh and lean down, his lips hovering over hers, “Princess I can’t imagine my life without you in it. So if it makes you feel more happy and secure, I’ll say the word, yes we’re boyfriend and girlfriend.”
Her smile grew, closing the space between them and kisses him. After she pulled away, leaning her head against his again “Yeah serpent boy that makes me extremely happy.”
(A few days later)
The last few days have been a mix of emotions as happy Angel was that everything was out in the open, that she was back with her family and friends. That she and Sweet Pea weren’t a secret anymore and they were out in public acting like any other couple. On the other hand, they were a treating her like she was made of glass, never-ending text and calls when she was trying to have a moment to herself.
Right now Angel was outside on the bleacher, laying down, ignoring all the phone call and texts from her friends. She had her eyes closed when she felt someone come and lay down next to her. She smiles know who it was, Angel turns to look at them.
“Hey, Hubby.”
Reggie smiles back grabbing her hand, “Hey Wifey, everyone looking for you.” she let out a sigh “I know I just need some time to myself, where no one watching my every moves and treating me like glass.”
He laughs and gives her a sympathetic smile “Give them time, sweetie they worried if they say the wrong thing that you’ll run away again.”  Angel flinched at his word, this was why she wasn’t saying anything about their annoying behaviour, she made them feel helpless and scared for two weeks, but Angel wasn’t sure she would last much longer without exploding. She knew things weren’t going to be the same but not to this extreme.
“I know Reg, I do, but they need to cool it down, I promised I wouldn’t run away again, and you know I don’t break my promises.” He laughs and nods, she looks at him a moment. She was glad they finally got some time to themselves they haven’t had time the last few days, and she had things she wanted to speak to him about.
“Hubby, I’m sorry I didn’t tell you about Sweet Pea and me. I was worried you would stop talking to me because I was sleeping with a serpent and I know how much you hate them. I just can’t think of a world where you and I aren’t friends.”
He let out a laugh and give her hand a quick kiss “Wifey I might hate the serpents, but I love you more. I’ve said this before nothing you can do will ever make me stop caring for you, you’re my number one till I die.”
She smiles and gives him a kiss on the cheek, “You’re my number one.” They lay there for a moment. Angel let out a sigh and sits up “Let go before they send out a search party.” Reggie laughs and stands up, hold out his hand for her to take, which she did.
They walked into the student lounge in the middle of a discussion between their friends, she smiled when she saw Sweets, kissing Reggie on the cheek and walked over to sit next to him.
She turned and smiled at him “Hey serpent boys,” He laughs and lean down and give her a quick kiss “Hey princess, you came just in time, Keller is giving out rolls for the play he’s doing.”
She nods, Angel told Kevin she wasn’t auditioning for the play because she had enough attention and went to lay low for a little while. Well until Tommy show but she said she’ll help in any other way. Kevin give her an unsure smile at her, which made her raise an eyebrow.
“You know I don’t want to audition Kev.” He nods, looks at the group who were avoiding his eyes, so he’s told them what he wanted her to do. “Kev I told you I would help in any way what is it?” He took a deep breath and smile at her hoping she won’t say no “Well I want you to work with Jughead, he’s videotaping the show and behind the scenes and I want you to take photos alongside him.”
Angel was speechless, she hasn’t spoken to Jughead since coming back or spent any time with him alone. She knew they had to talk but it was awkward, she confessed to loving him since they were little and she didn’t want to discuss it with him. Angel loved Sweet Pea, and he knew that, but she also knew a small part of him was jealous of Jughead and what place he still holds in Angel’s heart.
She turns to give him a reassuring smile. He smiles back even though he wasn’t pleased about this, Angel turned to look at Kevin and said unsurely.
“Yeah sure, it sounds like a fun idea, it’s a high school play, what could go wrong?”
Unknown to her these were words she was going to regret later.

Blindside PT 1 [R.M.]
An anon requested the prompt ‘you’re always late’ and @stylesdempsey put in their own Reggie request, so this is a combo of the two. Title from the song Drive by Oh Wonder.
Sometimes Reggie could be an absolute child. For a seventeen year old boy, he could throw a tantrum that would rival any toddler in any drugstore across the country. Sighing as you laid down, you let Reggie release his frustration through the phone that you were lazily holding to your ear. For him to stop texting you and actually call meant that he was past annoyed and well into unpleased.
“You're always late.” He groaned through the phone. It had been cute, at first, when you two started dating and you would fly into class at the same time as the second bell, or you would make it to his house a few minutes after you said you would show up. However, it didn't leave Reggie amused any more. It had turned into a habit that irritated him. “What is so hard about being on time?” Reggie was flawed, but was punctual.
“I will be there as soon as I can be there. The quicker we end this phone call, the quicker I can head back to Riverdale.” It wasn't as if you were on the other side of the state, you were just visiting your grandparents in Greendale. Of course, you had told Reggie that you would be back by five o'clock on Sunday and it was already ten to seven and you were still in the spare bedroom of your grandparents petite bungalow that they had lived in for the last decade. “I will make it up to you.”
“Don't bother.” Reggie scoffed. You could hear the sound of something being kicked through the phone, his feet hastily shoving at the gravel under his feet in the parking lot of Pop's where you had said you would meet up for dinner after spending the entire weekend apart. His response wasn't at all what you expected. Stunned, you stayed silent. “I'm going home.” He was embarrassed after waiting around the diner for over an hour, looking like a loner – one of Reggie's bigger fears. “Do you know how lucky you are to be with me? You don't act like it, [Y/N].”
Eyebrows raised, you shot up at the waist on the neatly made bed and shook your head. The arguments always went one of two ways with Reggie. He either began to tease you lightly, insinuating sexual innuendos in a cheeky manner, or he grew mean. Clearly, he was taking the latter route this time. It wasn't common that he chose that when it came to you. He usually reserved his cruel and unkind route for the likes of Betty Cooper or Jughead Jones,  but today was your unlucky day. You assumed there was a deeper issue going on, but since he was already worked up, you weren't interested in asking why he was making mountains out of molehills.
“If you're asking if I am glad we are together, the answer is 'yes'...” Cautiously, you chose your words. “If you're insinuating that doing me a favor by being with me then I'm sorry I don't understand...”
“Maybe, I am!” He wasn't thinking. Reggie was letting his anger take over his mouth. “You're not Josie or Cheryl, you know? What's so special about you outside of being my girlfriend, huh?” Reggie knew where to hurl his insults. Everyone had a weakness. When you two first started spending time together, you were outside of his circle. You weren't a cheerleader or a fancy family friend with endless money. If you hadn't been paired up for a history assignment, you weren't sure you two would have ever exchanged numbers or spent any time together.
“I don't know, Reggie!” It was your turn to snap at him and let your words snarl in an unflattering manner. He felt so free to be so vicious that you decided to not hold back either. “I will spend the whole drive back to Riverdale trying to come up with reasons I am good enough to be with motherfucking starboy Reginald Mantle,” He tried to interrupt you, a verbal eye roll ready in his throat, but you didn't let him get another word in. “but if I can come up with one reason to stay your girlfriend after this conversation, that will be a miracle.”
“Josie's been texting me all day. I can move on in a second.” It was a lie even if he felt he meant it in the moment. Truthfully, he just wanted you to sting like he had hunched over a booth at Pop's alone, checking his phone to see another excuse as to why you hadn't left yet, being nervous that it was too dark out to drive a route you didn't confidentially know.
“That's not nice, Reg.” Sighing, you felt the burn he cast over you. Your body deflated as you closed your eyes and imagined his hands all over the Pussycat. Everyone knew he found her attractive, but you always told yourself that they were just friends and he was human. You found other people good looking, too. “I am going to leave now. I'll make it up to you.”
“Whatever. I don't care.” Before you could say 'goodbye' or apologize again, he had hung up, leaving you to run your fingers down your hair from the front and search your grandparents place for the keys to your car.
* * * * * * * *
Reggie wasn't exactly surprised to fall asleep without a text from you saying that you were home. He couldn't even say that he was that bothered when he didn't wake up to any message from you at all, though he had privately hoped for a sexy photo of you tucked into your double bed as some kind of attempt at an apology for not showing up for your Sunday date. It occurred to him since he had calmed down after a late night work out that he probably owed you an apology as well. He had said things that were uncalled for, being mean for the sake of being mean. Archie Andrews was right, even if he would  never admit it, Reggie was a hothead and it was probably his worst trait. He typed out the five letter word only to delete it quickly. For the way he spoke to you and the way he taunted to cheat with Josie, Reggie knew you deserved a face to face apology, a grander gesture than an easy text that he didn't even have to leave his comfortable bed to send. He let Vader lick his face over and over before throwing off the covers and heading to his kitchen breakfast, trying to come up with a way to apologize to you before first period.
On the way to school, he made a stop at the bakery and grabbed a vanilla cupcake with strawberry icing. As much as he planned to steal a fingertip of the sugary topping for himself, he figured that an apology partnered with a sweet treat would increase his chances at forgiveness. Reggie slid the small brown box onto the top shelf of his locker and looked to his left to see if you were coming down the hallway. Even if you were still livid with him, you would have to pass by him in order to get to your own locker and that gave him ample opportunity to pull you in and woo you with his smoulder and pout combination.
Instead of being greeted by your glossed lips and sleepy eyes, Reggie's view was blocked by his best friend's chest. Moose had turned the corner sharply and leaned into the locker beside Reggie's, Midge sliding between them while playing with the ends of her short hair.
“Hey, I can't talk. I got to see [Y/N] before class.” Reggie grumbled. He was annoyed at himself more than anything. He was the one who created the mess he was currently in.
“You think you'll make it there and back in seven minutes?” Midge asked after checking her phone that she had tucked into the pocket of her tight leather jacket.
Reggie only tightened his brows over his eyes, unsure of what Moose's girlfriend meant. Your locker was only a grand total of sixteen steps away from his. It was just the other end of the hallway. He was a star football player. He could run yards in seconds.
“I thought you'd skip this morning. Is [Y/N] fine?” Moose continued, earning his own perplexed stare from Reggie. While Reggie had a habit of running his mouth when he was fired up, he had no recollection of mentioning his fight with you to Moose. He hadn't texted anyone after the argument. He just worked out until sweat was pouring from his chiseled chin and then watched TV in bed with his dog until he fell asleep.
“Probably. She never stays mad at me.” Reggie shrugged and reached up onto the top shelf again, taking the cupcake box out with one hand. He made sure not to accidentally crush it with his grip.
“Did Ethel not tell you?” Midge had heard the news from Veronica who had only heard from Ethel because she was standing behind Betty when she was being told. Ethel Muggs had been your neighbor since pre-school which made you close friends by proxy.
“Tell me what? [Y/N] wants to break up? I was a dick last night, I'm going to apologize - “
“No.” Midge cut him off, eyes wide while Moose rubbed his head behind her. They both knew to brace themselves for Hurricane Reginald. “She got into an accident in Greendale last night.”
His face was pale. A shade of white that Midge had only seen in feathers from the fancy pillows in hotel rooms. Reggie always had a healthy glow from working out, expensive moisturizer, or his greedy glass of orange juice every morning. His eyes widened on Moose's chest and the cupcake box fell between his Nike shoes.
“We just...thought...you knew....” Not sure what else to say, Moose murmured to fill the stiff silence that was holding Reggie still.
The bell rang signalling that class was to begin in minutes, that everyone should start heading to their respective seats, but like a gun shot warned a wild animal to run, Reg slammed his locker and raced down the hallway, past your locker, jumping over the small staircase, and flying out the door. It wasn't until he was fumbling with his keys in his shaking hands that he realized he didn't know where he was going. He had to run back inside and figure out what class Ethel was in first so he could ask her where to go to find you. Were you at the hospital in Riverdale? Were you at home resting? Were you dead on the road in Greendale? Reggie was spinning and he concentrated on looking in every door window on the first floor of the high school for Ethel in order to not throw up his nerves all over his black sweatshirt and new jeans. This was his fault. He knew he shouldn't have pressured you to come home when he knew you were scared to drive on the highway at night. He kept hearing his own voice, mocking him, reminding him how the last thing he said was that he didn't care. Now he knew for certain what everyone else figured to be true, he did care. He cared so much.

Christmas Eve will find me where the lovelight gleams.
Tumblr media
Betty Cooper arrives at the Andrews household for another of their traditional Christmas Eve celebrations, only to be greeted by a tall, dark stranger who she'd had a rude encounter with a few years prior.
A little Christmas oneshot I wrote for @bettyjugheadarchieveronica for the Bughead Secret Santa - sorry it’s a little late! <3
Read on AO3.
Betty Cooper had always loved Christmas for many reasons. The warmth amidst the cold, her mother’s homemade cookies, and their small town covered in a perfect blanket of snow. How everything seemed so magical, like something out of a pretty snow globe. Amongst this, there was the one event she looked forward to every year, probably more so than anything else: Christmas Eve at the Andrews household.
It had been a tradition for as long as she could remember; herself, her mother, father, sister, Archie, Archie’s dad, and his mom before she picked up and left without much warning. It had never affected their tradition, though. They wouldn’t let it. For the past three years there had also been Archie’s girlfriend, Veronica Lodge, who had taken that eerily empty seat at the table, and who Betty had become quick friends with from the moment that they’d met.
“Betty,” Archie beamed, pulling her into a warm hug as they all exchanged their season’s greetings and removed their scarves and coats.
“Hey, girl,” Veronica cried, also welcoming Betty with open arms. She was sporting her signature pearls, her dark hair styled in perfect, classic curls, and she was wearing a flawless, matte red lipstick that matched perfectly with her velvet dress.
“How are you both?” Betty asked, hauling her bag of presents into the house with her and agreeing to a small glass of wine courtesy of Fred who was now taking everybody’s orders.
That was when Veronica held up her left hand with a gigantic smile accompanied by a high-pitched squeal. Betty’s jaw instantly dropped at the sight of a large, sparkling diamond sat on her ring finger.
“What?! Oh my god!” She bellowed, pulling them both into a group hug and jumping up and down as she did so. “When? How? Where?”
“Last night,” she raised her brows and laughed at Betty’s excitement mirroring her own.
“Ok, I need the full story,” Betty cried with a pause, “but first I need to put these down.”
Archie then took the bag for her, apologising for not doing so earlier and jokingly dropping his arm weakly at its weight. “Betty, you didn’t have to get us all of this.”
“You say that every year, Arch, and every year I tell you it’s not going to change so get used to it.”
They all giggled as they pushed open the slightly ajar living room door and made their way inside. It was warm and cosy and smelt like cinnamon, just like it always did, as a candle burned atop the fireplace. It wasn’t until Betty’s eyes fell on an unfamiliar face perched comfortably on the sofa with a book in hand that she stopped in her tracks for a moment.
She hadn’t expected anyone else to be here, and Archie hadn’t said anything, which she thought was slightly odd.
“Betty, you remember Jughead, right?” He lifted his head at the sound of his name, his eyes meeting Archie’s then falling on Betty almost instantly. The sudden eye contact alarmed her.
“Uh, yeah, sure,” she replied, which she then realised was half true. She did remember Archie having a friend from college who she met very briefly once. He was cold and rude and tall and dark, and they were about eighteen at the time. She couldn’t remember his name.
“Jug’s staying with us this Christmas,” Archie continued, answering the questions he already knew were running through her head.
Betty smiled politely, nodding along. “Has Archie made you try his gingerbread yet?”
“God, no,” Jughead replied with a snigger, “I would never touch anything Archie baked.”
She laughed at this, as Archie let out a slight hey. “That’s very smart of you.”
They continued to hold eye contact for a moment, their smiles faltering ever so slightly; there was a hint of intrigue there, as though they’d never properly looked at another person quite like each other before and they were trying to piece together some sort of puzzle.
He was incredibly attractive, there was no doubt about it. He had a James Dean kind of vibe about him, or perhaps Johnny Depp in Cry Baby. Betty lost herself for a moment imagining Jughead as Wade and herself as Allison, riding on the back of a motorcycle and revelling in how much her mother would hate it, until a voice quite abruptly dragged her back to reality.
“Betty?” Archie asked, seemingly for the third or fourth time.
She shook her head, feeling her cheeks turning a shade of pink. “Sorry, what?”
“We’re going to decorate the tree before dinner.”
She raised a brow and smiled, memories of Christmas Eves gone by flooding into her brain all at once.
“Sounds perfect.”
-
“I can’t believe they hadn’t decorated their tree already,” Jughead mumbled, his voice taking her off guard.
They had taken on the responsibility of decorating the left side of the tree, and Archie and Veronica had taken the right. The first five minutes had been filled with utter silence; Betty wondered if he was even going to talk to her at all.
Of course, usually she would be with Polly, but now that Polly was pregnant she rarely got involved with anything unless it included lying down and getting a foot massage. I’m carrying extra cargo, I need my rest, she’d say. Not that Betty minded, in fact she enjoyed looking after her sister and future nephew or niece, but she wasn’t expecting to be decorating a Christmas tree with a guy she didn’t know.
And she certainly wasn’t expecting to enjoy it.
“Christmas tradition,” she replied with a shrug, “we decorate it when we’re all together. Always have.”
“We used to get pretty competitive as kids,” Archie interjected with a laugh, “mainly because Betty wouldn’t let me do anything, and if I did she would rearrange it completely.”
“Hey,” she carefully placed a small candy cane shaped bauble to a branch slightly above her eye level, “it’s not my fault you can’t do these things.”
“I feel you, B,” said Veronica, throwing a pile of lights at Archie, who struggled to hold them all at once. “Make yourself useful and untangle these, would you, babe?”
Archie shook his head with a huff, falling back into an arm chair. “You’re both as bad as each other.”
The silence returned, mainly due to the serious concentration filling the room. The sound of Elvis played on vinyl in the background, one of Betty’s ultimate favourites. Whoa, oh, it's Christmas time, pretty baby, and the snow is fallin' on the ground.
“So, we’ve met before?”
Betty looked up, his face much closer to her than she’d initially anticipated. His piercing stare caused her heart to flutter. “You don’t remember?”
His silence prompted her to giggle, and with a deep breath she continued with the story she had not once thought about again since it had first happened.
“It was a few years ago now. I came to visit Archie at college and he wasn’t home; you answered the door. You looked as though I’d just woken you up, you weren’t thrilled about it, but you did invite me in anyway. I offered to get a coffee with you to apologise for the wake up call and you ignored me and went back into your room. You slammed the door, and I remember it made me jump. You didn’t even take my coat.”
He raised a brow, as if surprised by the revelation that he had actually met her before paired with the fact he had no recollection of it. He also looked pretty embarrassed, naturally.
“Wow, what a dick.”
“Yeah,” she couldn’t help but laugh, “here’s hoping I don’t bump into him again any time soon.”
He smirked, looking down, something about her made him nervous, and she had a feeling that didn’t happen very often.
“Well, if you do, let me know, and I’ll soon put him in his place.”
He diverted his gaze back up after a moment and Betty thought that maybe the feeling was mutual.
-
Christmas dinner was just as wonderful as they had all remembered it to be. A table filled with turkey, roast potatoes, pigs in blankets, vegetables, stuffing, gravy, and more; everyone was spoiled for choice, especially Jughead, who was already filling up his plate with seconds as though he’d never eaten a decent meal in his life.
“This dinner is delicious, Fred,” Veronica professed with a smile, covering her mouth with the back of her hand as she chewed her final mouthful.
Betty took a sip from her wine and placed the glass back down gently. “Yeah,” she agreed, “it’s lovely.”
“Well, I have to thank Alice for bringing over half of it. A good team effort as always.”
“My pleasure,” she replied with a smile, “thank you for having us.”
Betty had been placed in between Polly and Jughead, with Veronica, Archie and her mom opposite, and Fred and Hal on either end of the table. Everyone had fit, albeit a tiny bit cramped, but not enough so that anyone was complaining or sitting on top of one another.
Betty had never even noticed the close proximity of the chairs until now, mainly because of the fact her knee was almost touching Jughead’s, and she was very much aware of it.
More so than she would’ve been with Mrs. Andrews, that’s for sure.
“So, Jug-head,” Alice started, dragging out his name as if it were a joke, he stopped with his mouth half full at the sound of his name. “What is it you do?”
He swallowed his food, clearing his throat slightly as he sat up straighter in his chair. “I’m a writer.”
“Really?” Betty interjected, pleasantly surprised at this fact, cutting off a visibly frustrated Alice before she could even respond. “Me too.”
“No way,” he raised his brows in a mutual interest, his face brightening, “what do you write?”
She turned towards him, their knees touching momentarily, but neither of them moved an inch.
“I write for The Register. It’s a newspaper here in Riverdale.”
“Ah, so you’re a journalist?”
“Trying to be,” she nodded as she crumpled up her napkin and placed it on top of her plate. “How about you?”
He exhaled, returning his attention to his now empty (for the second time) plate and shrugging slightly. “I just write what I can, here and there. Or, you know, try to.”
“He’s being modest,” Archie cried, causing Betty to swivel her head back around. “He’s writing his second novel, and he’s ridiculously talented.”
“You say that like you ever read books,” Jughead replied, as Archie rolled his eyes playfully.
“I read yours, and I think it’s something to be proud of.”
He diverted his gaze downwards again, then looked back up at Betty as she smiled. The warmth that she emitted was unlike anything he was used to, and he had an undeniable urge to grab it with both hands.
“You’ll have to show me some time,” she said. “If you want.”
The setting of the sun fought its way through the large window beside them, and Jughead found himself saying “ok.”
-
“Wow, this town really is like something out of a snow globe.”
She laughed. “Seeing as it’s your first time in Riverdale, I need to take you to Pop’s. Just one milkshake and you’ll never want to leave, I promise.”
After declaring during dessert that he had never even heard of Pop’s, let alone visited the place, Betty had instantly suggested taking him for a brisk walk to show him what he was missing. She always went out for a quick break after dinner, usually by herself just to clear her head and enjoy her own company for a while. Sometimes she just felt like she needed it, especially during the overwhelming craziness of the holidays. She wasn’t used to sharing this kind of moment with anyone other than herself, but tonight something had quite unexpectedly shifted.
She wasn’t sure what that something was just yet, but she knew that it had, and a part of her knew that perhaps Jughead was the reason why.
“Unless that milkshake comes with a stable family and financial security, then I seriously doubt it.”
Her smile wavered as she let the next few moments of silence pass by naturally. “I know what it’s like to struggle at Christmas time,” she began, her voice a little shaky. “I know I have it good with what I have, and I’m grateful for that, but I often find it a difficult time of the year… you know?”
She didn’t want to get into too much detail with a guy she’d only just properly met. She didn’t want to say because of my mental health, but somehow it made sense to him all the same.
“I know,” he replied with a sigh, before holding out his arm.
She furrowed her brows and smiled. “Is that an invitation to hold onto you, Mr. Jones?”
He grinned and shrugged. It was Christmas, she was beautiful, and she seemed to like him; what did he have to lose?
“If you want it to be,” he replied, a confidence he didn’t even know that he had in him, to which she hesitated for a few moments, before wrapping her arm around his as they continued on down the empty street.
A small laugh escaped her lips as her eyes fell on him once more. "And to think," she uttered, "that guy at Archie's dorm was such a dick."
He sniggered, his gaze dropping to his feet as he recalled what she'd previously told him. "I really am sorry about that," he swallowed. "I was an angry kid. Angry at the world, as cliche as it sounds. I don't even know that person anymore."
Tightening her grip on his arm, he looked back up at her to be met with a smile. That damn smile. He already knew there would be no going back from this.
"It's ok," she said warmly. "I quite like the person I'm with now."
When they arrived at Pop’s, which was much emptier than usual due to everyone being at home with their friends and families, Betty ordered two vanilla milkshakes and the pair sat in a booth at the back. One of her favourite songs was playing again, but this time it was Bing Crosby, and the distant sound paired with the perfect silence comforted her.
Please have snow and mistletoe and presents on the tree. Christmas Eve will find me where the lovelight gleams.
“This is nice,” Jughead declared to which Betty narrowed her eyes with a grin.
“What?” He smirked, removing his beanie and placing it on the table. He ran a hand through his dark curls and something about it made her feel giddy. God, he really was gorgeous.
“Was that sarcasm?”
He held his hands up in defence and laughed. “No sarcasm, I swear.”
“Ok,” she joked, biting her lip as she giggled, “I believe you.”
“Here we go,” Pop announced, breaking the intense stare that had followed the biting of her lip as he placed the glasses down gently, “two vanilla milkshakes.”
She smiled, taking a sip from her straw and releasing a small mmm. Nothing could quite lift her mood than one of these. “Thanks, Pop.”
Twirling her straw around her fingers, she watched Jughead as he took his first sip, his face completely nonchalant and unreadable.
“Stop watching me,” he ordered playfully, rolling his eyes with a grin.
“Well, what do you think? The wait is killing me.”
He shrugged, wrinkling his nose. “It’s ok.”
“Ok?” She cried, folding her arms and raising a brow disapprovingly.
“Fine,” he replied, his eyes softening as they met hers, “it’s good. Really good.”
The red light of the familiar ‘diner’ sign illuminated their little corner, providing a safety and a comfort; it was almost like they were the only two people in the entire town, and something about it sparked something inside of them. They both felt it at the same time, or so they thought, catching each other’s eye and looking down nervously.
“The company isn’t so bad either,” he added sheepishly, to which she smirked and tucked a few strands of loose waves behind her ear.
“Couldn’t agree more.”
They talked for a while longer on the walk back to Archie’s house, about almost anything and everything. Jughead's familial issues, his insecurities and hardships growing up, how he was channelling all of that pain into his writing, and how Betty understood all of it, in her own way.
She told him about her difficult relationship with her mother, her ongoing struggles with her mental health and how she was working her butt off to save up and leave Riverdale for good after being kept inside a perfect little box all of her life. For some reason, these two people who couldn’t be more outwardly opposite had discovered that they actually had a lot in common.
They both felt like outsiders, even though you'd not have guessed it, and they saw something of themselves in the other that they'd been seemingly craving for their entire lives. It was a breath of fresh air. An unexpected glimmer of light. A Christmas eve that they would never have seen coming.
“I never usually open up like this,” Betty admitted, looking at her feet, “especially not with someone I’ve just met.”
“Me neither,” he replied, his hands firmly tucked in his pockets as he exhaled, his breath visibly circulating in the cold air.
“You know,” she said after a few moments of comfortable silence, “Archie and Veronica shared a kiss on the first night they met. It seemed crazy to me at the time, but clearly something stuck.”
His lips curved into a smirk as he raised his brows and dug his hands further into his pockets. “Is that a hint, Betty?”
Realising what she’d said and how it sounded, her jaw dropped in horror as she began to blush uncontrollably.
“What? No. No. I’m sorry, I didn’t mean it like that,” she stumbled over her words, pursing her lips together as she shook her head, silently scolding herself.
The silence returned, and she couldn’t help but feel mortified. Of course, she didn’t really mean it, but at the same time if he kissed her she wouldn’t have pushed him away. Had she just made an otherwise perfect evening unnecessarily awkward? It started to snow, and Betty regretted not grabbing her scarf on the way out as an unwanted shiver climbed up her spine.
She had had relationships before now, of course. Short lived, but relationships all the same. She had felt brief attraction and intrigue and she had felt the urge to be close to somebody, but never had it felt like this. Something about the way he made her feel was different, which she knew was crazy. He was everything she knew her mother would disapprove of. He wore a leather jacket and rode a motorcycle and rolled his own cigarette inside Pop's before they got up to leave. He was damaged and lost and everything she shouldn't be drawn to. She knew it, but she couldn’t help it. And, better yet, she didn't even care.
“It’s ok if you did,” he said quietly.
She pulled herself back to reality, her breath catching in her throat as she turned her head to study his expression; it took her a few moments to return to the conversation at hand, and she almost thought she’d misheard him.
“What?”
He shrugged, looking out at the empty street before them as a few snowflakes settled in the dark curl peeking out of the front of his beanie. His voice was a little shakier than she’d heard it before.
“Maybe something will stick.”
She stopped still, realising what he was saying, as he walked a few steps ahead then stopped to turn and face her when realising she wasn’t following; clearly not expecting her to halt so suddenly. His eyes finally met hers before falling down to her lips, and then back up again. He looked unsure, as though he might be crossing a line and as though he was waiting for her to reject him, something people had been doing his whole life. Something he was much too used to, let alone from someone who was practically a stranger.
But Betty Cooper wasn’t like everyone else.
Instead, she inhaled deeply and felt her heart beating against her rib cage. She edged forward and knew that she didn’t know anything other than there was nothing else she would rather do and nowhere else that she’d rather be right there in that very moment. After all, were they really strangers after sharing their entire life stories with one another in the space of a couple of hours? After all, did it even really matter?
She finally exhaled as she closed the space between them, listening to her gut for perhaps the first time in her life and pulling his lips to hers as she gripped onto the collar of his leather jacket. It was slow at first, just two people breathing each other in for the first time, before melting into it as though it were the most natural thing in the world. She felt his cold hands find her waist and, in turn, she moved hers upwards to wrap around his neck.
This was unlike anything Betty had ever done in her life. It was spontaneous, dangerous, exciting, alien, yet strangely familiar; as if they’d known each other for much longer than just one evening. As though this was something they’d both been waiting for ever since they could remember. She could taste the lingering hint of nicotine on his lips, and something about it made her only want him further.
After a few moments, they pulled away, their breathing heavy. Betty kept her arms draped around Jughead’s neck and finally met his eyes once more. There was a new warmth looking back at her, as though she’d just ignited something in him he didn’t know was there. And finally, she smiled, prompting him to do the same.
Suddenly, the snowfall became even heavier, creating a thickening blanket along the ground and simultaneously starting to drench them. Betty squealed at the abrupt downpour, instinctively grabbing his hand as the both of them began to run, their laughter intertwining with the echoing of their heavy footsteps. Her coat didn’t even have a hood, and she could already feel her dampening hair dripping down her back.
“Come on,” she cried, “we need to get back.”
He interlaced his fingers with hers and stopped for a moment, pulling her against him once more, his face a little more serious this time. Without even a second thought, he kissed her again, easing into it even more so this time as the snow melted into their embrace. They found themselves thinking that they could get used to this. When they parted again slowly, he gently pushed her hair out of her face. As she reopened her eyes, he shook his head with a smile.
“Well,” he breathed, his voice low and coarse. “I certainly didn’t see that one coming.”
She beamed, a giggle escaping her lips as his skin brushed against hers.
“Perhaps if you’d have taken my coat it would’ve happened much sooner.”
His lips twisted into a smirk as he nodded in defeat, running his eyes over every detail of the girl he knew he’d never forget again. “Touché, Cooper,” he replied with a squeeze of her hand, “touché.”
And there they were, the girl next door and the boy from the wrong side of the tracks, running through the snow hand in hand to get back into the warmth as they laughed louder than they had ever done before, shushing each other every so often, the gesture only making them laugh even harder.
They didn’t really know what they were doing or where they were going, how things were going to develop or if they’d even see each other again after that night, but what they did know was that none of it even mattered. Because here and now, on a small street in Riverdale on a quiet Christmas Eve, the glimmer of lights illuminating the glistening of the snow: maybe, just maybe, something had stuck.

A Night To Remember - Part 1
Tumblr media
Part 1 | Part 2
Pairing: Jellybean Jones x Archie Andrews
Description: AU in which JB is just an year younger than Jughead and she’s in love with his best friend.
Warnings: None that I can think of.
Word Count: 1587
A/N: I usually post on @serpent-jugheadjones but since this isn't a Jughead fic, I decided to do it here. Therefore anything from other characters that I write will be done here :) Let me know is you want to be tagged on any of my stuff!
The best thing about falling in love with her brother’s best friend is how comfortable he is around her, that the boy doesn't even bother putting on a shirt before entering the kitchen in the mornings after a sleepover. Jellybean doesn't have much time to enjoy the view, though, as Jughead is always nearby.
The worst of it is the fact that Archie’s so oblivious to her feelings that he shares his love life experiences during breakfast. Certainly, hearing about his dates isn't JB’s nor Jug’s favorite subject. When she’s lucky, they get to talk a little about music before her brother shows up.
The three teens sit on the round table in the Jones’ kitchen, each with a plate of pancakes, Jughead’s with a few extra ones, and a glass of OJ. “Valerie broke up with me.”, Archie speaks before eating. “No wonder. You've been pimping yourself out to Cheryl.” Jug doesn't even finish chewing his pancake before talking. JB just stuffs her face with the food so she doesn't have to give an opinion. “HA. HA. I’m gonna try and talk to her tonight.”, the ginger says as FP walks in and fills his mug with coffee. “Dude, not a good idea. Just let it be.”, the dark-haired boy advises. “Easy for you to say. You have Betty.”, Arch says bitterly. “You should listen to Jughead. When women are mad at you it’s best to give them space. Right, JB?”, FP smirks. She chokes on her juice as the man leans in to kiss his daughter’s ruffled hair before sitting next to that jittery girl. “Right…” Jellybean widens her eyes at that ironic impossible clever dad she loves so much, for he’s the only one who knows about her crush and she’d like to keep it that way. Archie just gives JB a half smile that melts her heart.
Later that day, she gets a text from Archie. Her mind races through all the possibilities of what the boy could've said while her old phone loads the message.
From: Archie xX
Surprise party for Jug at my place at 8. Come.
Reason tells her to warn her brother since he’s not a fan of parties and dislikes even more his birthday but she can’t seem to shake the feeling that this is finally her chance with the Andrews’ boy.
JB arrives at Archie’s place, a little nervous but ready to tell the boy how she feels. “You look great.”, he greats, letting her in. The girl takes off her jacket, revealing a white crop top and a black skirt overall. “Can I get you anything?”, the boy offers. “One of whatever you’re having.”, the girl requests, smelling liquor in his breath. “Jug would kill me. For you, just a soda.” Archie hands her a red solo cup containing the fizzy drink. Their fingers touch for a second, enough to turn her cheeks red. “Jughead is coming. Everybody hide!”, Ethel shouts and they lean under the kitchen island. “Shh.”, he whispers, placing a finger in her mouth as she was just about to say something.
The door opens and the lights turn on. “SURPRISE!”, a choir of voices shout standing from their hiding spots. Jellybean can see the loathing in Juggie’s eyes as people start hugging him. “Happy birthday.”, the girl wishes quietly, embracing him. “You knew about this and didn't tell me?” Lucky for her Betty comes out with a burger-shaped cake singing Marilyn Monroe style and JB doesn't have to explain herself.
Soon after, the party goes wild with the arrival of Cheryl and the rest of the school with booze and party lights, turning the living-room into a dance floor full of drunk teens. From the doorway, Jellybean watches Archie losing himself to the dance. When the ginger boy spots that beautiful girl standing there, he pulls her by the wrist. In a heartbeat, they start swaying to the rhythm of the song, their bodies brushing against each other’s every once in a while. JB is sure Arch can feel the electricity flowing through them.
A couple of songs after, they’re both tired and in need of fluids. The euphoric teen follows an oblivious Archie back to the kitchen where she hops on the marble counter as the boy grabs a couple of bottles from the fridge to mix them a drink. “Arch.”, Jellybean calls his attention softly. “Yeah?”, he questions, pouring a little too much vodka on his cup. “I listened to your songs.”, she confesses, still a little breathless. “The ones on SoundCloud?” Archie looks up at his friend’s sister amazed, handing her one of the cups. JB nods. “They are amazing.” The girl smiles and takes a sip from her drink, wincing at the bitter taste in the back of her throat. “Dance, Dance, Dance is my favorite.” She looks directly into his eyes. He’s leaning in slightly. “Archie, where’s the keg?” Arch hesitates for a while, and steps away when he listens to a familiar cough. “In the back.” He recognizes Joaquin and takes him to the booze. FP enters the kitchen right after. “Was that a move?”, her father asks playfully, pointing at the ginger boy leaving. “Don’t know what you’re talking about.” JB jumps off the counter and grabs her drink before her father notices what’s inside. FP just chuckles as she returns to the dance floor.
Out of a sudden, things get out of hand, beginning with Archie receiving a faceful of liquor instead of whatever he was hoping for with Valerie. Then, when Jug tries to bolt, Cheryl stops him, making everyone play a weird game called “Secrets and Sins”. People start accusing each other of all kinds of crap, and all hell breaks loose as a dumb jock calls Betty out on what happened at Ethel’s. Jughead punches him unsmartedly, getting hit back twice as hard. Fortunately, Jellybean went to get her dad as soon as trouble started. The man gets there just in time to pull Chuck out of Jug, before he can make any more damage to his son’s face. He throws everyone out and Betty ashamedly goes away as well. “Why aren't you going after your girl?”, FP asks, holding his son by the arms as he was trying to get in. “Can’t leave Archie alone.”, Jug excuses. “JB is staying. Go after her. She needs you now more than ever.”, his father instructs.
The house is a mess. Solo cups flying all over, bottles rest on every flat surface and Archie slouched on the couch as drunk as one can be. “Come on. Let’s get you to bed so I can clean up.”, JB tells him, warping one of his arms around her neck in a feeble attempt to get him up. “You didn't have to stay.”, Archie drunkly says, pulling her to sit next to him. No point fighting against it as he’s twice as strong as her, not that she really wants to. “I couldn't help it.”, the girl tells him. “Why?”, he asks, almost hopeful. “Because I’m in love with you…”, Jellybean confesses, both nervous and excited at the same time. He leans himself forward the closer he can get to the raven-haired girl. She closes the remaining distance between them, lightly touching his lips, feeling the ground being pulled from under her. Literally, since the boy grabbed her hips to straddle her legs around him.
No cleaning was done that night. The two teens just savored each other’s company. With a lot of work, she managed to drag the drunk ginger to his room, where he fell head first on an air mattress, leaving his bed empty for her. When the girl woke up in the morning, she made sure to leave the place impeccable for when Mr. Andrews got back. JB gives a sweet peck on sleeping Archie’s cheek before leaving.
The raven-haired girl arrives home to her brother and father at the table having breakfast. “Is that Archie’s shirt?”, Jughead asks. “Maybe…”, the girl says with a grin. “I just borrowed it to sleep, in a separate bed!”, she adds hurriedly at FP’s concerned and almost angry face. “I’m going over to his place to make sure everything is ok.” Her brother walks out of the table leaving his dirty plate behind. “I’m not washing your dirty dishes.”, JB shouts as Jug goes through the door. “Didn't you just wash the plates at Andrews’ house?”, her father asks, piling his and Jug’s plate for her to wash.
Jughead arrives just in time to wake his friend before his father comes home. “Jug. The most amazing thing happened.”, Archie says dreamily, still laying down. “Is that so?”, the dark-haired boy asks. “I think I kissed Veronica last night. I was so wasted all I know is that she stayed the night.”, he answers looking up, trying to remember better. “Veronica left with her girlfriend CHERYL, as soon as shit hit the fan. JB was the one who stayed.” Jughead says. “But then… Jellybean? Oh… Yes.” Panic takes over the ginger as he realizes what he did. “Dude, did you just fess up to kissing my sister?” Now Juggie and Arch have another situation to work through.

Green Tea and Google ONESHOT
Synopsis: you and your Riverdale friends all live together while in college or//working. You and Jughead have a certain...rocky relationship and regularly are at each other's throats. One day Jughead pushes you over the edge....in more ways than one Pairings: Jughead x reader Warnings: Swearing and smut A/N: wrote this mostly from "your" point of view. Write the smut in first person and think I prefer writing it in 3rd person (unless otherwise requested). Sorry it's kinda long. ---------------------------------------------------------- Y/N pov (psssst that's you dolly) “FORSYTHE!!!!!!” i screamed so loud at the top of the stairs that Forsythes across the globe were shaking in their boots. I had never been so angry in my entire time living with my friends. I'm going to kill him. “Jesus Christ y/n I was in the kitchen not Kenya!” He meets me at the bottom of the stairs and with one glance at what’ in my hand he takes off running in the opposite direction. “OH YEAH YOU BETTER RUN” I shout wielding my laptop in one hand and a fist in the other as I chased him around the house. Brazen brat. Erases everything from my laptop and thinks I won't notice. I chased him around the island unit in the kitchen before he took off into the sitting room. As I launched after him a weight was thrown into my waist as I was hauled up and onto Archie's shoulder “ARCHIIIIIIIE PUT ME DOWN” Archie carried me to the sitting room fireman style after Jughead as I struggled against him. “CALM DOWN Y/N! I'm sure whatever he did we can fix again! Jesus stop kneeing me!” He says pulling against the urge to drop me. I stop fighting him and let my body go limp before taking in a deep breath, Archie still keeps slung over his shoulder. “Oh my God what is it this time I could hear the screaming from the drive!!” Betty comes in from work throwing her coat on a hook thankful for Friday but annoyed to have to witness more Jughead and I based drama. “That BASTARD broke my laptop” I attempted to gesture to Jughead who was standing safely on the other side if the couch. “I didn't mean to honestly! I was wiping my search history and...and just did too good a job at it…” i.am.going.to.kill.him…..as soon as I get down from here. “WHAT THE HELL?! WHAT DID YOU GOOGLE FOR CHRIST SAKE! MY ASSIGNMENT THAT IS DUE MONDAY IS GONE! ITS 50% OF MY GRADE YOU TOOL!” “I..I...I…” stuttering? He'll be doing worse than stuttering when my fist is in his mouth. “Why didn't you use your own laptop Jughead?” Betty asked holding back a laugh. “Don't you remember? Y/N SPILLED HER FREAKING CHI GREEN LATTA FRAPPE MOCHACHINNO ON IT AND BROKE IT!” Is he really going to yell at me? To say our relationship was fragmented would be the least you could. “OH FOR FUCK SAKE IT WAS GREEN TEA AND I SPILLED IT CAUSE YOU FRIGHTENED  ME!” I retorted.... loudly “Oh my God would you too hurry up and have sex already for God sake” Kevin leaned in the doorway. Jughead and I looked at Kevin and then back at each other in shock then disgust. Okay, first kill Jughead, then take care of Kevin. I took a deep breath. “Okay Archie, please will you put me down, I am zen” I tried as calmly as I could possibly muster. “Emm I don't think…” “I SAID IM FUCKING ZEN” I cut across him “Ahem I mean, I am zen Archibald now please let me down.” Archie glanced at Jughead who looked genuinely frightened. Good. “Okay but promise you won't attempt to kill Jughead we need him to pay his share of the rent or we'll be thrown out” “cheers” Jughead nodded sarcastically at Archie. Archie slowly let me down. I took a deep breath and walked into the kitchen and back retrieving a dish of water and a broom. The four watching me the entire time. I stood on the couch side table and put the dish of water to the ceiling “Arch come prop this up with the broom I have to show ye something mad I learned today in my totally calm rational state of mind” Archie rolled his eyes at me and did so. I calmly jumped down and marveled at Archie holding the dish to the ceiling with the handle of the broom. “Now so….now that you can't move and stop me without soaking yourself and the house...COME HERE JUGHEAD!” I flew over the couch and right at Jughead catching him off guard while Archie couldn't decide what to do. Betty and kevin were keeled over laughing. ~~~~~ It had been some time since I had pinned Jughead to the ground and hit his chest while Kevin hauled me up and Betty assisted with the Archie and the dish as they both still laughed. Archie, not so impressed. I laid on my bed, laptop on in front of me, staring at a blank screen. I'm fucked. I couldn't hold back any longer and in the solace of my room the tears began to fall. My whole future is going down hill all because Jughead can't work fucking Google. I thought I was being nice offering my laptop, last time I ever be nice to anyone. I pinched the bridge of my nose and let out sigh trying to stop the crying. A soft knock came to the door. Everyone should be asleep. I rubbed at my face quickly to get rid of the tears hoping it would be Veronica or Archie so I could just openly cry into my best friends chests. I opened the door and Jughead rushed in past me with such speed, obviously afraid I would have closed it immediately on seeing him. He would have been correct. Jughead, in his dressing gown, paced the room as I closed the door softly. “Jughead….can you please just...not.” I am truly shocked to see him. “Y/N I am so sor...have you been crying?” I turn away from him. “Umm…” he continues “anyway I'm really really sorry for what I did but you have to know it wasn't like a vendetta or anything and usually I wouldn't care if I hurt you but...well I mean obviously to a certain extent I mean I don't want to see you in real pain” “Jughead; you're rambling. Stop’ I interject still not looking at him. “Oh yeah sorry anyway I'm sorry and and and  I'm here to help you write your thing and I know I don't know a lot about your major but I don't want you to stress over something I did...well not to this extent and I took Archie's laptop so maybe I can do research and yanno I might learn something and you'd get it done and” “Jug, rambling” “Sorry sorry...please don't be mad at me anymore I am really sorry, I know we don't always...I know we never get on but I'm still your friend in a weird us way aren't I?” I have no reply to that. I don't know why I did what I did, I blame exhaustion and stress, but I turned on my heels and threw my arms around his neck and hugged him. This definitely shocked him and he at first braced for pain but soon realised i was not directing any malice towards him. I mean I nearly squished the life out of the bastard but it wasn't out of hate. I made it worse by then practically sobbing into his chest “I am a terrible human being” he whispered, dropping his school bag next to him and pulling me closer, arms around my waist.  “Yeah kinda” I laugh through sobs and he returns a smile. He chuckles softly. After a moment or two of just standing like that I break from him and dry my eyes with my sleeve. I threw myself down on the bed and replaced the laptop on my knees. I had to edge over a little so Jughead could sit next to me but it was fine. A Little more than fine….shut up y/n I have to focus. I gave him a quick debrief and we both set to work. This is kinda odd. Jughead and I. Together. Not killing each other. It's different. It's odd. It's...it's not bad. As 3 am rolled around my head began to weigh heavy and it slumped down onto Jugheads shoulder. I had over ¼ written, I deserved a power nap. “Alright y/n that's enough for tonight” Jughead whispered and took the laptops and put them both on the bedside locker. I shameless put up no fight. I felt Jughead slowly slip from under me. “Where are you going” wow I was groggy. “Umm back to my room?” he whispered “Oh...why don't you just stay there you'll wake the house leaving and then Veronica will bury her heel in your head” I squinted up at him only half aware of what I just said. Had I just asked jughead to stay in bed with me? Have I lost my mind? “Um yeah makes sense” he said with a small smile. I went out like a light after he squished in next to me and we curled into each other. I woke to the sunlight crossing my eyes as I rested my head on Jugheads chest. I snuggled back down into him, legs all tangled under the duvet. Wait what? I shot up with such speed that Jughead nearly fell out of the bed. “Oh my God what's wrong y/n?” he said stretching and with an eye closed trying to adjust to the sun “I just woke up next to you that's what's wrong! Oh God you have to leave before someone sees you they'll never let it go….especially Kevin" I say panicked throwing myself backwards onto the bed inhaling and exhaling loudly. “Hahah don't worry y/n we didn't do anything” he said rolling back towards me and throwing his arm over me. “Lie closer you were blocking the sun for me a second ago” I hit him into the chest but still for some reason obeyed, curling back into him. Once again I shot back up “OH MY GOD I NEED TO WRITE MY ASSIGNMENT!” I say this time actually pushing him from the bed. “For fuck sake okay okay I'm going to get us coffee, you start” Jughead PoV Oh my God I just woke up next to y/n and now I have to sneak out of her room like we did something bad. I crept out of her room and began walking down the stairs, totally lost in thoughts of her. “Hey Jughead do you..” “NOTHING I DID NOTHING” woah okay Jughead let's not scream Archie off his half of the stairs. “Umm...okay I'm going to pretend that's not super suspicious….do you have my laptop?” “Yeah it's in y/ns room” shit.shit.shit don't ask about it don't ask about it. Archie raised an eyebrow “oh..oh right okay and why is it in her room?” A smile started to grow on his face “wait...did you just come out of her room?...Jughead did you and y/n…” “Nononononono” I say brushing past him and down the rest of the stairs, him hot on my heels.Oh crap he's not going to leave this go. “Forsythe Pendleton Jones III did you and y/n..” “Archie! Don't you dare finish that sentence!” His smile went from small to a full on blinding grin. “Jughead you dog!” he said shoving me playfully “but seriously, hurt her and I'll bury you under the patio” going from lighthearted to dead serious very quickly, Archie's style. “I wont...wait a second, nothing happened Archie I swear, I was helping her with her assignment and we just fell asleep that's all nothing else happened” “I seeeeeee” he clearly did not see as I turned on the coffee maker. “Did you want something to happen?” Okay that question caught me totally off guard, like pulling up to a junction and then being hit by a train. “Ohhhhhh Juggy likes y/n Juggy likes y/n, called it” “Shhh shut up she could hear you!” “Oh you didn't deny it” he punched me into the arm probably harder than he intended...or maybe it was another overprotective friend thing. “Look Archie I..I really don't know I find her totally mesmerizing...but also so insanely frustrating” I rubbed my hand across my eyes trying to stop the headache y/n was forming in my mind. “Oh dude you've got it so bad for herrrr” he said once again pushing me. “Okay seriously Arch I'm going to need you to stop doing that you're going to bruise me! Look it doesn't matter anyway y/n doesn't like me like that, she doesn't and won't” I throw myself down on the kitchen counter, sitting defeated drinking coffee while y/ns brews. …...wait Archie hasn't said anything to that and I've known him for too long to not know that that means he knows something. “Archie….what do you know?!” I put down the coffee and slipped off the counter “What….i...i know nothing” stuttering? Oh he's lying. I caught him by the shoulders and made him meet my eyes. “Archie...you need to tell me right now if I have even the slightest shot with y/n” I had never spoken to him with such pointedness. My eyes were searching his for an answer, any answer at all. “Yeah...yeah Jughead I might know something” and then he told basically the story of y/n. How she had liked me since we were kids and didn't think I had any interest so that's why she had that stint dating Reggie, that's really when our fighting went into overdrive. Then we all moved in together and Reggie’ jealousy went insane and they broke up. She then realized she still really liked me, but again, thought I had no interest and so here we are, killing each other. “So wait...does she like me now or not?!” “Do you like her?” “We're not talking about me right now we're talking about her! Well?!” “Yeah Jughead...yeah she still likes you...oh God she's going to kill me” I stepped back from him. I definitely looked shock. Then I just took off. Took off running up the stairs taking two steps at a time as Archie called after me to Be Careful. I stopped outside her door, hovering my hand over the handle. Oh God oh God oh God what am I doing what am I doing. Okay okay okay, don't think for once, just act jug. Just go for it. Y/N Pov I sat typing away, I .now had almost half of it done thank fuck. Suddenly Jughead comes flying in the door, slamming it behind him. He practically runs over to the bed and takes the laptop from me and throws it on the bean bag. “Umm okay then, jughead trying to break the screen too” I laugh at the bizarre raven-haired boy. He lunged forward on to the bed and was suddenly on top of me hovering above me. Oh my God what is happening. What is happening. This isn't happening. Please let it be happening. I could see the absolute fear in his eyes as he leaned down and kissed me. Oh it is happening. He pulled away from me looked in my eyes so apologetically and scared and I couldn't help but laugh. “I am so sor..” I pulled him back into the kiss before he could finish the apology. He smiled into it. I wrapped my arms around his neck and pulled him closer. “This.is.crazy” he said between kisses. “Good crazy I hope” “The best crazy” he said kissing me again “Wanna get a little crazier” I say running my fingers through his hair. “What did you have in mind” his smile was a little twisted and his eyes lustful as he meet my lips more harshly as I giggled. I sat up to pull off my shirt biting his bottom lip before doing so. I threw my shirt away while he took off his. I ran my hands down his muscled chest as he began to nip at my bare one. I moaned at his tender bite. I reached and grazed his bulge with my hand and was met with a groan. I shimmied out of my bed shorts as he kicked off his track pants. “Y/N are you sure you wanna do this?” “Yeah Definitely” I say pawing his torso again. “Okay” laughs as he reattaches himself to my neck. I let out a whimper as he roams my body with his hands. He's going to give me so much crap for that one. “I'm going to give you so much crap for that" he smiles. My turn. I began kissing down his neck, biting slightly as I went until a high moan came from him. I began to abuse this spot completely. Yup, that's going to leave a mark. His hardness pressed against me and is driving me insane. I bucked my hips slightly against him and he let out a groan. Sweet friction. “Okay I can't hold on any longer, I need you” he's eyes dark with lust. I reached for my bedside locker and retrieved a condom. He slipped it on while I kicked off my underwear. Jughead slowly inched his was inside me and I gripped his shoulders digging my nails in. He adjusted his hand to support himself while using the other to play with me.. I squeezed my eyes shut and moaned as he began to move and breath heavily. "Oh fuck Jughead" "Fuck me y/n" I pulled him down so I could go back to biting at his neck as he began to speed up his movements. I broke from his neck as my head tilted back. I bucked my hips to his and lost it as he hit my g-spot. “Don't stop Jug I'm so close” I moaned. He too began to moan at the feeling of my walls tightening around him. The tightening band in my stomach finally snapped as I moaned out his name in sweet sweet bliss. Jughead grunted as he rode out his orgasm. My legs still wrapped around him shaking and hands on his shoulders. He's so hot. He pulled out after a moment and breathlessly collapsed next to me. “Wow” he sighed “Wow....don't tell kevin he’ll give himself an aneurysm haha” returned, pulling the duvet around us. He put his arm around me and pulled me in. “i know you loved me since we were kids and all but..” “wait what? how did you kno...I'm going to kill Archie….or thank him I haven't decided yet” jughead chuckled ((oh I hate that word)) in response to my indecisiveness. “You should break my laptop more often y/n” I scoff in return “are you kidding me it was your fault!” “Don't argue with your boyfriend or I'll withold sex” he laughed then regretted it, I could tell by the way he shifted. “Boyfriend?” “Um yeah sorry I just assumed sorry I made it awkward…” “No it's okay….besides isn't it the girlfriends secret power to withhold sex” His laugh was genuine and dripping with relief. We lay there for a moment tangled and enjoying the last of or highs. Oh wait. Shit. I sat up quickly and once again knocked Jughead to the floor. “I have to finish my assignment!!!” “Orrrrrrr” jughead purred as he caught my wrist and pulled me down on the floor on top of him. “Really?” I smiled “Yeah...why not I should be able to have sex with my girlfriend if she and I are both cool with it” “See, you could never withhold sex” He scoffs, “not with you I couldn't” he smiles and smirks me again. Bliss.

OQ Fix It Fic Week Day 7: Wedding Bells
@oqfixitweek Day 7: Dark! OQ Day
Uses the following suggested prompts: Dark!OQ bring Robin back and take him to Regina/Dark!OQ wedding
Tumblr media
Storybrooke had been quiet for several months after the Final Battle. It gave Regina time to breathe and just be together with her not-so-little-anymore prince. Henry was getting older and she knew soon he would be off to college, so she wanted to enjoy the time she had with him. She was ready to let go just yet.
With everything being so calm, the appearance of a portal on Main Street one day drew a lot of attention right away. Everyone poured out of Granny’s as Regina pushed her way to the front of the crowd. Emma’s familiar yellow bug pulled up before she and Hook jumped out. Regina stood next to them as they stared at the portal.
           “Friend or foe?” Hook asked.
Emma shrugged as Regina prepared a fireball, saying: “I guess we’re just going to have to find out.”
Two figures emerged from the portal—Queenie and Robin of Locksley. Regina let her fireball die out as she stared at her other half and her soulmate’s doppelganger. “You’re here? Why?”
“We have good news,” Queenie said, holding out her left hand. A sparkling diamond ring sat on her ring finger and she grinned. “We’re getting married.”
Regina stared at the happy couple, watching as Robin wrapped his arm around Queenie’s waist. He beamed at her and she smiled back, love shining in her eyes. Regina tried not to feel jealous of her other half. After all, she had wanted her to find happiness. It was hard to see them living the live she and her Robin should’ve had.
Queenie’s smile dimmed. “Regina? Are you okay?”
Swallowing, Regina forced a smile. “Yes. Congrats, you two!”
Robin and Queenie didn’t seemed convinced. They looked at each other and he asked: “Should we give her the surprise?”
“I think so,” she replied, grinning.
Regina frowned in confusion, wondering what they could have for her. She watched as they stepped aside, allowing a small blur to dart between them and barrel into Regina.
Once she steadied herself, she looked down into big brown eyes and a bright smile revealing adorable dimples, all topped by a mop of unruly black curls. “Roland?” she asked.
“Hi, Regina,” he said. “There are two of you and Papa. Did you know that?”
She grinned as she fought back tears of happiness, holding the young boy who had stolen her heart close to her. Regina hadn’t thought she would ever see him again, even though Zelena often spoke about bringing baby Robin to spend time with her big brother. It still all seemed like talk to her.
Realizing Roland was waiting for her answer, she said: “I did, sweetheart.”
“They found us and brought us back to you,” he continued, almost bouncing on the balls of his feet.
She sniffled as she ran her fingers through his curls. “Who? You and your Uncle John?”
Roland shook his head and then said something that took her breath away: “No. Me and Papa.”
“What?” she gasped, looking back up with wide eyes. Queenie and Robin were standing off to the side and the portal was closed. Standing where it had once been was another Robin, dressed almost identical to the one standing next to her other half. He wore a long linen shirt under a green jerking and paired with black pants tucked into brown boots. A quiver rested against his back, the strap crossing his chest, and he held his bow loosely at his side. His hair wasn’t as dark or as short as the other Robin’s, a brighter golden shade and thick at the front, the sides spattered with silver.
The biggest difference, though, were in his eyes. While they were still the same shade of blue, these were warmer and they shone with recognition and most of all, love. He stepped forward, smiling big enough to reveal those damn sexy dimples. When he spoke, his voice held a familiar and comforting accent. “Regina.”
“Robin,” she breathed, walking closer to him with her arm still around Roland. They met in the middle and she raised a shaky hand to his cheek, cupping it. “Is it really you?”
He nodded before leaning down to kiss her. She nearly gasped into it, feeling the heat and joy her kiss with the Wish Realm Robin had been lacking. This was her Robin, somehow back from the dead and returned to her.
She broke the kiss, tears now streaming down her face as she let out a little laugh. “I can’t believe it. How is this possible?”
“It doesn’t matter,” he said, an echo of her dream. “All that matters is that I’m here now, with you.”
“Robin!” Henry broke free from the crowd, running toward them at full speed. Regina stepped back right before he crashed into Robin, who stumbled back a bit. He then wrapped his arms around her son, cupping his head with a gloved hand, while Henry held on tight with his eyes squeezed shut. “I’m so glad you’re back.”
“Me too,” Robin whispered. He then smiled at Regina. “Me too.”
Queenie and her Robin stepped forward, holding hands as they grinned at them. “We knew once we found him we had to bring him to you,” she told Regina. “You deserved a complete happy ending.”
“Thank you,” Regina said, feeling Robin wrap his arm around her waist and pull her close. She leaned against him, enjoying having him so close once more.
Wish Realm Robin glanced down at Queenie before looking up at her. “We’ve decided to get married here in Storybrooke and we were wondering if you two wanted to make it a double wedding.”
Surprise filled her and she looked up at her Robin, who smiled down at her. He looked happy but there was caution in his eyes. “I know it’s sudden,” he said, “and your last marriage wasn’t the greatest…”
“Understatement of the century there,” Queenie muttered.
Robin continued as if he hadn’t heard her. “But I know that I love you and I know that you love me. We’ve had our shares of up and downs but always make our way back to each other. Hell, there are somehow two of us who have also found their way to each other. So let’s make this official, though we’ll always be a family even without vows and a piece of paper.”
Her heart sped up as she considered the proposal. Robin was right that her first marriage had been a nightmare that had put her off from ever marrying again…until she met him. When he had told her that she was his future, she had briefly imagined the two of them married and raising their three children together.
She took his hand and gave him a big smile. “I would love to marry you, Robin. Before anything else happens, preferably.”
Everyone chuckled as Robin leaned in to give her a kiss. She cupped his cheek again, pressing her forehead to his. “I really, really hope this doesn’t turn out to be a dream I’m about to wake up from.”
“I think we’re awake,” he whispered, a wicked glint in his eye. “Do you want me to pinch you to be sure?”
“Maybe later.” She smirked as she pulled away, glancing over to where Henry and Roland stood together. Her smirk softened into a smile. “How about we go get ice cream to celebrate?”
The boys cheered and she turned to the other happy couple. “Do you want to come with us?”
I think we’re going to go find some place to get settled in,” Queenie said as her Robin nuzzled her hair. She smiled at Regina. “You all have fun.”
She raised her hand in the air, engulfing the two of them in a cloud of purple smoke. Regina wasn’t too sure where they went but she figured they would be back in time for their doubled wedding.
Taking Robin’s hand, she laced her fingers with his. “Come on. Ice cream is waiting.”
“So, how are there two of us?” he asked her as they followed their boys into Granny’s for their celebration.
She laughed. “It’s a long story.”
“Well, we have plenty of time for one,” he told her, holding open the door for her.
Regina smiled as she paused at the threshold, tilting her head and giving him a soft smile. “Yes, we do.”
Granny was also apparently an expert wedding planner as she had everything ready for the double wedding ceremony within a week. They married in a gazebo in the park with Archie officiating. Henry escorted both versions of Regina down the aisle, one on each side. It didn’t escape Regina’s notice that she had gone with a lacy crème strapless trumpet gown while Queenie wore a black satin gown with long lace sleeves. When Regina had commented on it earlier, all her other half had said was that it felt right to get married in black.
Wish Realm Robin wore a satin green jacket over a silk white shirt and black pants. Passion and love burned in his eyes as he watched Queenie approach and Regina was glad her other half had found love, just like she had.
Her Robin was dressed in a black tuxedo and a green cummerbund. His blond hair was gelled back and he had trimmed his scruff. As they approached the gazebo, he smiled at her and she smiled back. Everything felt so different from her first wedding. There was no anger or grief, no wishes that someone would come in and rescue her. She just felt happiness with every step, certain that she was making the right decision to spend the rest of her life with Robin.
“Here you go, Mom,” Henry said when they reached the gazebo. He then turned to Queenie. “And you, Mom.”
They kissed his cheeks before taking their respective Robin’s hand, standing back to back as Archie started the ceremony.
           Everything was perfect.

AND REQUESTS HERE
@tayrae515 asked: Ok so don't hate me but I had another idea! Could you do one where you are once again Archie's younger sister and you and Jughead are really close friends so when he became a serpent you were around them a lot and became friends of the serpents and because they take care of there own the offer you a jacket to and Archie and Betty and the gang find out and get upset, they feel like they already lost Juggie and don't want to lose another friend but you join and idk fluff? Jughead x reader. 💕💕💕
Even with all that crazy stuff following you ever since the death of Jason Blossom, you thought that for once you could have a quiet day. And you did, but not for long. You woke up that morning with your brother, Archie, and his best friend ,and roomate, Jughead jumping on top of you. They were laughing while trying to wake you up to have break fast and go to school with them. As soon as you realised what was going on the two dorks started tickling you and the extreme laughter combined with the extreme ab exersise you were getting by it didn’t really let you talk. “Stop! Stop you are killing me,” you yelled. “DAD! SAVE ME!” You called at him after seeing him standing by the door, admiring the joyfull moment before him. “Hey, boys, enough,” he tried stoping him but the didn’t stop. “Well, you know what they say, Y/N. ‘If you can’t stop them, join them’ .“ “NO!” You screamed as your dad joined the two boys tickling you; more like stabbing you, with their fingers.
“I hate you all,” you said at the two boys sitting in front of you eating breakfast trying to suppress their chuckles. “She’s right, you know,” your father butted in jokingly. “Oh, you don’t talk,” you grumped and went on with your breakfast as the man let out a breathy laugh.
The day seemed to be rather calm. You know, stupid classes, small breaks, lunch with your brother and his friends; in which Jughead would not stop tickling you. You really had no idea why they were like that today but you liked it. As much as you hated to admit you liked it. But, your quiet day came to an end as soon as you walked inside your house with your brother and your close friend short behind you.
As you stepped a foot inside you spotted a woman around the age of your father talking to him. “Hey, guys. This is Ms. Weiss from Social Services. She’s, uh, she’s Jughead’s case worker.” Your father declared as soon as he saw you three. You all seemed shocked and you were. While the boys walked towards the small kitchen you followed close behind. “Jughead, I know how terrible and emotional the last few days have been for you. Your father’s facing serious jail time. Your mom’s over-extended and out of state. We just want to make sure that you’re taken care of.” The woman admitted and Archie butted in , “Well, he can keep staying with us, right, Dad?” Your father simply sent him a sad smile telling him that he already offered. At that moment you knew what was coming. You took Jughead’s arm in your hands and held it firmly, while you later proceeded on hugging it close you your body and interwine your fingers together. He turned his gaze on you for a second smile at the sight of you like this. No, you were not together, not that it would bother you. But Jughead was the person you truly fitten in with. He was quiet and so were you. You were the two members of the little group of friends that would never talk, and when you were it would mostly be between you two and you would be just making sarcastic remarks. “Great, so what’s the problem?” You asked even though you knew the answer.  “It was a DUI. After your mom left. Look, we can talk about this later but between that and my cash flow problem, it knocks me out.” Your father explained as Jughead gave your hand a reasuring squeeze. “There is a family on the Southside that’s offered to foster you. They’re good people, they’ve worked with us before.” The woman added while looking at him. “That doesn’t sound completely horrible.” Jughead reasoned, saying that mostly for you to hear. “It does mean you’ll be in a different school district, Jughead, and you’ll have to transfer schools.” That’s when you lost it. The only person you were comfortable around in school was going to tranfer to the southside. Great, wasn’t that just great?
After leaving them and dashing into your room you were completely unaware of anything else that was said. All you could do was stay in your room and try to calm down a bit. There was a soft knock on the door and without having anytime time to answer the sudden visitor opened the door. “Are you ok?” A person you recognised as Jughead asked. You slowly rearrenge your posistion so you could look at him. “Do I look ok?” you replied with tear stained eyes. “Oh, little one, come here. I’m not gonna be that far away,” he said hugging you close to his body. “I’ll tell you what. I will be staying at my dad’s house, ok? And you will be coming over as frequently as you would like, ok? We could even have sleepovers!” He cheered trying to explain to you that it was not the end of the world. “Yeah, ok. But you will not be there with me at school. How will I do that?” you asked, probably acting like a baby but you didn’t care. “Well, uhm, I could give you my beanie but we both now I won’t,” he said jokingly and making you smlie, “but I will give you one of my flannels. You can wear it on school and it’ll be as if I’m there, yeah?” He said giving you a peck on the forehead. “Good. Want me to sleep here tonight?” he asked and you simply nodded as he started getting comfortable in the bed and pulling you towards his body, embrassing yoy and allowing the heat to warm your small body up in this cold night. “The door stays open,” your father called passing by, always destroying the moment.
It had already been a couple of days ever since Jughead moved to the southside and you spent most of your time there. You would finish school and then you would instantly run to FP’s trailer to meet Jug and today was not going to be any different. The thing was that before that Jughead would come over so you all would go to the Jubilee together and as much as he hated it he did it for you. He walked inside and was stunned after he saw you. You were standing by the kitchen island with your brother and mother. A stunning off-the-shoulder tight-fitted black dress, falling down to your knees. You looked absolutely stunning and Jughead could not hide it. “Oh, Jug’s here,” your mother called and you saw the boy looking at you all. “Jug!” You called and walked up to hug him. “Hey little one,” he said hugging back and giving you a forehead kiss. “Are they a thing?” Your mother asked Archie silently that replied with a disappointed no. “I think we should head off,” your dad said and grabbed his car keys as you all walked to the truck.
After the boring dance was over... Well, it was not so boring. I mean you had Betty’s speach and your brother sing with his current love intrest, and your mum being annoying and a lot more things, but let’s stick to boring. So, after the boring dance was over you and Jughead were going to walk to his father’s trailer, watch a movie and you would then sleep here. And that’s exactly what happened, with a little twist. You made it to your destination and walked inside. Jughead offered you a shirt of his he knew would be huge on you and a pair of his boxers as shorts, knowing that his sweatpants would be enormous on you. You were after all tiny in front of him, but he found that cute. Not that you knew. After putting that on you found Jughead sitting on the couch turning on the TV to find a good movie, and knowing him it would probably be some great old one or a scary movie since he was always amused when you got scared. But his actions were stopped when there was a knock on the door. He walked outside but you didn’t know what happened until you got out as well to see what took him so long and he was wearing his father’s Serpent jacket. When he saw you he seemed scared of your reaction but you took it surprisingly well. You even said that he looked like a very dark version of Clark Kent with the hair and all, or like a younger and more adorable version of Damon Salvatore. After that you continued doing what was on your original plans.
Your brother and his friends were devastated when they saw Jughead walk inside Pop’s wearing his Serpent jacket. Betty was shocked to say the least, while your brother seemed angry, Veronica didn’t think much of it and neither did Kevin so they just kept on making jokes and comments like the ones you did when he was given the jacket. The downside of this was that you were going to have your brother talk about this for a long long time, but you would indeed avoid it as much as possible.
It had been about a week since Jughead became in charge of the southside Surpents, since his father was the ‘leader’ before. But he did have help both from you and a man’s that was second-in-command that took his dad’s place until Jughead came to the southside. Due to that and because you and him seemed to become even closer with everything that happened you spent a lot of time together in the southside, either just walking around and talking, or staying at his house, or some times spending a lot of time in the Whyte Wyrm. Everyone was surprised and you constantly had your brother or father trying to keep you from going there with Jug, but you didn’t seemed to care. The thing is the Serpents accept you as their own, they got your back not matter what. Like that time this girl from your school started calling you names and some of them happened to be around they did everything to protect you from her and make sure you didn’t actually believe everything she said. They even had one of their own stick around you just to make sure you were ok but your brother didn’t know.
One day you all were going to hang out over at Jug’s so you, your brother and the girls were driving there in Archie’s truck. Just as you stepped outside a bunch of Serpents appeared in front of you. Betty got scared, thinking they would attack you or something, since they were told you to stop walking, and she hurried to get Jughead. He walked towards you watching as the second-in-command came over to you and hugged you. “Look,” he began, “we see your friends here are like family to you, you are one of them. But you are family to us and you are one of us. And you know how we take of our own. So we wanted you to know that we will keep on taking care of you, kid. It’s always good when you stick around and, well, we thought you deserve to have this. You deserve to have this cause, as I said you are one of us.” He finished. It was so sweet how much these people cared for you. I mean you grew up with the idea that they are vicious and bad. But they’re not. They are nice people; different people that are under the influence of the stereotypes. You smiled at the man and reached for the jacked but Archie stopped you. “Y/N, no. Don’t you dare. You are not a surpent. You are one of us.” He said. “He’s right, Y/N. You don’t belong with them but with us.” Veronica butted in, agreeing with the stupidity of my brother. “We already lost Jughead to the serpents, little one, we can’t lose you as well,” said Betty adding to the anger that began to boil inside of you. “You are joking right? You don’t mean this stupid things you said.” You mumble. “No, Y/N we’re not,” replied Archie. You looked down for a second contemplaiting what was going on exactly, and then you did what your friends and brother didn’t want you to. You grabbed the jacket from the surpent and wrapped it around your body. After a long time you felt like home. You felt that you truly belonged somewhere. The serpents start cheering on your decision the one that gave you the jacket even hugged you once again. Jughead stared in aw as the two girls with Archie walked inside.
The serpents left and both you and Jughead walked inside meeting a furious Archie, a disappointed Betty and an annoyed Veronica. “What’s wrong with you guys?” You asked trying to understand why they all were like that. “What’s wrong? You ask what’s wrong? Y/N, you are no serpent. You are my sister. They are no good for you.” Archie said pacing up and down the small space. “Arch are you joking? They are amazing people. At least most of them. They treat me like family, they take care of me. They have one of their own to keep an eye on me and make sure I’m safe with all that shit you guys get yourselves into and drag me into as well.” You fired back at him. “Wow, Y/N, wow.” Betty said looking at you with a very disappointed, almost discussted look. Tears pricked your eyes as this kept going on for a while. “Just don’t come home until you find a way to explain this to dad,” he said in an angry matter. “That’s it. Get out. All of you get out. And don’t come talk to me or her until you stop being irrational.” Jughead yelled, seeing how these words hurt you. You started sobbing in an instand as Archie said that and Jughead pulled you into his arms. Archie tried to apologise but Jug didn’t let him. “I said leave. Now.” He chanted once more since your brother wouldn’t leave. Eventually he did and Jughead picked you up and walked to the couch.
The whole night you spent on that couch. He would say things to calm you down but your tears would not stop. He wouldn’t give up though. He would hold you in his arms stroking your hair and back in attemts to relax you. “It’s ok Y/N. It’s gonna be alright. You can stay here for as long as needed. You know the serpents love you. I love you,” he said. You stopped crying after he said that and you just stared at his face. “Yo-you love me?” You asked surprised. Jug didn’t reply so you took matters in your own hands and you kissed him. You kissed him with so much love you had never shown to anyone. “I love you too,” you uttered before the boy took you in his arms bridal style and run to the bedroom playfully as you laughed. He seemed so happy you said that, so he threw you on the bed and run to the window and opened it. “My little serpent loves me back,” he screamed repeatingly so every one would know.

You Know Where I Am- Archie Andrews (3)
Part 1 / Part 2
Summery: Your eyes are firmly set on a certain dark haired boy not realizing who was your perfect match all along. Its only when you finally pull your eyes from him it’s when you see who is really there for you and who you really feel for.
You had been walking around aimlessly for at least an hour and you had no idea why your feet had brought you here. You stood between the two houses debating on which one to choose. On one hand you had a close friend who you could tell anything to but at times tended to be a little too over sympathetic. Not what you needed right now. On the other you had someone you weren’t at all that close to but had gone through this before, and someone you knew you could trust.
You sighed turning and walking up the drive way and stopping at the door. You hand reached out to knock like it had before and you heard footsteps inside. The man standing in front of you seemed surprised to see you. You smiled slightly. ‘Y/n, I wasn’t expecting you’ You nodded. ‘I’m sorry, I just needed some place else to be’ The older man in front of you smiled and stepped aside. ‘Come on in, you know where to go’ You nodded stepping in out of the cold into the warm house.
You smiled down at him as you made your way up the stairs. You knocked on the door and waited a second. ‘Come in’ A voice came from behind the door. You slowly opened it and cleared your throat when you seen a bare back to you. Your eyes ran over the defined muscles that tensed slightly under the tanned skin.
Archie jumped and turned. ‘I’m sorry’ You looked away from his torso, but you had to admit, he was pretty ripped. ‘It’s fine’ He waved you off glancing around for a top. ‘I-I’m sorry I’m here. I just-I didn’t know where else to come’ Archie stopped looking and turned his attention to you when he heard the tremble in your voice. ‘What’s up?’ He asked softly as you stepped into the room closing the door. ‘You know the way you said if I ever needed to talk?’ He nodded and you bit your lip.
You took a deep breath. ‘My parents were in couples counselling today, that’s why I couldn’t go to Pops. My Mom’s been cheating on my Dad with some CEO from some business in New York and he’s trying to work through it’ The words flowed out without you even thinking and Archie’s eyes widened. ‘She doesn’t want to though. She wants to leave. I heard them talking the other day, they didn’t know I was home. She just wants to leave with him and divorce my Dad. And us, she doesn’t even want to any kind of custody of us’ You looked up from your feet as Archie made his way towards you. ‘I’m sorry’ He whispered and you shrugged.
He reached out and took your hands. ‘But, I promise you, I’m here for you’ You smiled slightly. ‘And you’re one of the strongest people I know Y/n, you’ll make it through this’ You pulled your hands from his and wrapped your arms around his neck. His arms wrapped around your waist hugging you to him. ‘I needed to get that off my chest, thank you’ You muttered. ‘I needed some place to go that wasn’t home’ Archie pulled away from you with a smile.
He nodded. ‘I understand, come on, sit down and we’ll talk about it’ He let go of you and began to walk back over to his bed. ‘Arch’ You whispered and he turned around raising his eyebrows. ‘I don’t want to talk about it’ Your eyes dropped to the floor. ‘I want to forget about it, completely. It’s all I can think about. I need to forget’ You stepped closer to him and he nodded. ‘Okay’ You smiled.
He gestured towards the TV. ‘You still like video games?’ He smirked and you nodded eagerly. He beamed and stepped around you. You reached out and grabbed his arm. He looked down at you his eyes meeting yours. ‘Thank you’ You whispered. ‘And, I’m sorry for just barging in here’ He nodded again a faint smile on his lips. ‘You’re always welcome’ He whispered back just as quiet.
You smiled slightly as silence filled the room. Then Archie’s hand was on the back of your neck and you stumbled forwards as he pulled you to him his body moving to face yours. Then he leaned down and pressed his lips to yours. You didn’t know what to do, Archie was kissing you. This was not what you were expecting when you walked through that door, but maybe it was what you needed. You reached out your arm draping over his shoulders and fingers tangling in his hair as you kissed him back.
It wasn’t until a second later that you pulled away pushing Archie back slightly. ‘Betty’ You whispered you mind falling to your friends feelings for the boy. Archie just shook his head. ‘We sorted that out’ He muttered before his lips found yours again as he pressed himself to you. You let out a soft sigh letting yourself melt back into the kiss. It was a long time since you had gotten this kind of jitters, from anyone and it felt nice, it felt nice to be wanted, to want someone who wanted you, to have someone to hold and who would hold you.
Your arms tightened around his shoulders and you felt his hands run down your sides before stilling when the reached the tops of your thighs. You felt him crouch a little and you jumped slightly letting him catch your weight as you wrapped your legs around his bare waist. ‘We shouldn’t’ You muttered as he straightened and walked towards the bed.
But that didn’t stop you from tightening your arms around him, and his hand from gripping your thighs and his other hand tangling in your hair. You groaned your hips rolling against his. He let out a breathy moan his lips detaching from yours and pressing firmly against your chin. ‘Arch-Arch’ Your hand tapped his shoulder. ‘I-I can’t’ He pulled away from you his eyes finding yours. ‘I can’t do that to Betty, she-how she feels about you, and the way she reacted to Veronica and you’ He sighed. ‘And Jughead’ He muttered climbing off you and sitting on the edge of the bed. You sat up and placed your hand on his shoulder.
He glanced back at you. ‘No’ You breathed. ‘Not the way you’re thinking anyway’ He chuckled and smiled at you slightly. ‘How about that video game?’ He asked and you smiled at him nodding and you both moved to the end of the bed.
Your head lulled a little and you jerked up. Betty glanced at you again as you both sat in the student lounge before class started. ‘You’ve been falling asleep since you got here’ She observed. ‘Couldn’t sleep last night’ She gave you a sympathetic look and she smiled slightly. ‘Not what you think, I just had a lot of energy Bets’ You chuckled and she nodded not exactly convinced. ‘Hey Betty’ She raised her eyebrows at your questioning tone.
You took a small breath. ‘How are you? With Archie I mean?’ You bit your lip waiting for her answer as she paused considering your question. ‘We’re good, I mean I’ve realized we weren’t going to work’ She paused a slight blush on her lips. ‘And I mean, I think I’ve moved on slightly, I don’t feel how I used to feel around him and I-I kind of feel something with someone else, something stronger’ Your ears pricked up. ‘You have feelings for someone else?’ She chuckled. ‘I don’t exactly know. I think so but-’ You let out a laugh. ‘You don’t have to give me any names Bets’ She relaxed a little.
You raised an eyebrow. ‘I dont want to jinx it, like what happened with Archie. People knew and-’ You nodded. ‘I get it, I do. But there’s only so much you can guard yourself Betty, you deserve someone who will look after you like you look after everyone else’ You bit your lip slightly ‘And it doesn’t matter about anyone else, once they know’ She smiled at you and chuckled. ‘Thank you’ You shrugged slightly leaning back in the chair.
She watched you as you closed your eyes. ‘Are Veronica and Kevin right?’ You heard her ask timidly. You furrowed your eyebrows. ‘About what?’ You let out a chuckle opening an eye and giving her a sly smirk, you both knew how many little theories the two of them had. ‘Jughead’ She whispered leaning forwards. You froze a second and then opened your other eye. ‘About me and him?’ She nodded. ‘On that one they’re wrong, there’s nothing going on between me and Jug’ You told her, really you weren’t lying, there wasn’t.
She nodded. ‘Do you have feelings for him?’ She probed further. ‘I love him Bets, as a friend. But I have no other feelings for him, no’ You shook your head. You felt bad lying to her but one person knowing about your unrequited crush on Jughead was enough. You didn’t want all your friends knowing. Betty just nodded leaning back in her seat and picking up her book again. You leaned your head back against the couch and closed your eyes again.
You jumped awake as a bell rang pulling you from your sleep. ‘Woah’ You heard a chuckle from above you and you glanced up to see the red-haired boy you had only seen hours before. You sat up straight lifting your head from his shoulder. ‘Eh? When?’ You glanced around when you heard someone chuckle. Veronica sat beside Betty a smile on her face. ‘Sleeping beauty decided to wake up’ You stuck your tongue out at her. ‘You just sort of cuddled into me when I sat down’ Archie chuckled. You shrugged and smoother your already smooth hair. ‘Well, you know, I like warmth. I like warm’ Jughead grunted from the armchair as he looked at you both from over his open laptop.
You looked around. ‘What time is it?’ You asked. ‘Chemistry time’ Archie said and your eyes widened. ‘Darn it’ Your eyes widened and hurried to gather up your stuff holding them to your chest. ‘I gotta go’ You stood stepping over Archie. ‘Bye’ You called as you rushed out of the room praying your weren’t late to class.
They all watched you leave frantically trying to balance the books in your arms as you skid around the door. Ronnie chuckled and shook her head, she would never understand your drive when it came to school. Or your drive on the track team. ‘Man, what have I told you’ Jughead snapped at Archie and they all looked back at him. Archie furrowed his brows. ‘She was the one that curled up into me Jug’ Archie shrugged leaning back. ‘I don’t care yo-’ With that Archie stood up. ‘Jug if she happens to fall asleep on me that’s not my fault’ He snapped. ‘I wasn’t going to wake her up, she needed sleep. Why don’t you get out of your laptop and pay attention to her?’ He grabbed his bag shrugging it onto his shoulder as his friends sat eyes wide eyes fluttering between the two boys.
Archie narrowed his eyes. ‘And Jughead, just because I’m a Jock doesn’t mean I’d do anything to hurt her. Or anyone else’ He snapped and Jughead put his laptop aside standing. ‘You go around like it’s a competition to get the most girls to fall for you. I’m saying leave her out of it’ Jughead glared at his friend. ‘I wouldn’t hurt her’ Archie growled stepping closer.
Betty stood up standing between the two boy. ‘Okay, please, stop’ She raised her voice looking between the two. ‘I’m being a good friend not trying to get her into bed. I’m there for her because you hurt her feelings’ Archie snapped. ‘You didn’t think about her before you spoke and you hurt her. I just want her to have someone who wont, that’s all’ Archie turned and stalked away leaving his friends in silence and frozen. After a moment Jughead grabbed his stuff and left Betty running after him.
