There's redraws and then there's Redraws
Or 'Effortless Talent' is a Lie That Needs To Get Dragged 'Round the Back and Shot
What can I possibly add that isn't already said? Well, I thought that there's a bit of information that's been staring us in the face but we've not understood.
Question: Why Only 48?
Famously, chapters that are replaced on the Tonari site are archived for posterity. Link On Thursday, I went to have a look at them and found that there were just 48 of them. This was odd, considering that we've seen many more chapters change between their initial online publication and final in-print edition.
Fortunately, I'm a bit of a hoarder and have a sub-site dedicated to translations (yes, send me ALL YOUR ROUGH TRANSLATIONS, EVEN JUST PARTIAL TEXT ONES! You NEVER know what they might contribute later). I was looking at the extensive changes to updates 158-163 and realised one thing: most of them were art changes, and the output of the manga chapters was NOT STOPPED to accommodate the changes. When the problem is the ART, Murata saves it for the print edition and then smoothly updates the Tonari site. The old art is NOT ARCHIVED. It disappears into Murata's scrap pile. Here's an example of how much one of those chapters changed without affecting manga chapter production. (from: https://www.tumblr.com/acidproofnotebook/677286392448122880/update-159-previously-158-changes-between)
Tumblr media
Old version, Food Battler is given Waganma while the other heroes try to stall.
Tumblr media
New print version: Captain Mizuki takes off with the kid and hands over to Food Battler when Nyan gives chase.
I have many more -- do dig!
So What's Archived?
I'll make it short: the chapters that are archived have story problems. They're chapters where ONE is dissatisfied with what he's set down, and fixing them materially changes the manga. THAT'S WHAT STOPS MANGA PRODUCTION. NOT ART CHANGES. The art changes, of course, because Murata is illustrating a different version of the story.
Can everyone get this straight then? If there's a hiatus for the story and redraws, that's because of ONE, not Murata. ONE really wants to tell a particular story, and he's got a fantastic partner who believes in bringing it to light as best he can. Even if it means losing a year's worth of work.
The Ninja arc in the webcomic was not treated as having much weight. For sure, we got to learn of Flashy Flash's and Speed o' Sound Sonic's histories, a bit about Blast's activities, and the two ninjas got some nice new tools. And? That's kinda it. Which is fine as things go. The manga is less 'things just happen' and more of a turbulent river into which tributaries flow and others split off.
We can see the ideas that ONE is wrestling with to turn into a concise, coherent part of a much bigger story in the manga. The 'soldier of God' concept is a define cornerstone of this, as is the interest characters have in trying to piece together what this 'God' threat is about, given their limited knowledge.
Tumblr media
The Village having had a dual purpose is staying firmly put.
Things we see ONE trying to work out in the latest chapter are how to explore Flashy Flash's backstory without an info dump. Who needs to know it? Why? How? And to what effect? The previous iteration had most of the backstory be replayed only in Flashy's mind as he recalled what happened back then. This iteration looks like Flash is going to tell Saitama, mostly out of annoyance at being considered equal to Sonic, but still. We have to look forward to seeing how other concepts that were introduced, like Empty Void, his motivations and abilities, his relationship to Blast, how Blast knows that the guy is back, whether Flash will decide to spare the Tenninto or kill them and why... all that, we wait to see.
The Effortless Isn't
The One-Punch Man manga is a much bigger and more ambitious story than the webcomic it spawned from. Additionally, ONE has changed as a writer over the years, and his more expansive, relationship-exploring story reflects that. Will it be a long-standing success in the end? No one can tell: when the final chapter is in print, we may be looking at an overambitious work or a wonderfully wrought masterpiece showcasing a true talent.
But those forty-eight chapters are forty-eight times that ONE feels that he's failed to tell the story he really wanted to and has been willing to redo and try again. Don't let anybody tell you that talent comes from the gods. It's mostly wrought through painful effort and the courage to try again.

Alright my friends - the twinkly lights are up, the house smells like pine, you've got every manner of red-green-and-gold wrapping paper shoved in a corner - without a doubt it's that time of year: Christmas. As you know, I've been disappointed to see so few entries into the Christmas rom-com genre this year from Netflix, so I've started to explore further afield to find something ripe for your enjoyment.
And now, I'm pleased to present...
The Worst Movies on HBO/MAX/Discovery+/HGTV??? (idefk), Right Now!
As it turns out sometime last year Discovery+ teamed up with MarVista to produce some Christmas romance content with random tie-ins to their FoodNetwork/HGTV network stars. This has created some really... oh, let's just call it interesting content.
Tumblr media
I mean... you gotta know from the outset that there's no way these will be good. NO fucking WAY.
FIRST, as a whole, I don't think these movies know what their purpose is. Are they supposed to promote the reality shows of their cameo stars? Are they supposed to give their reality stars an opportunity to flex some acting muscle!? Are they supposed to be *GASP* good stories? NOBODY KNOWS!
SECOND, it's possible that the point of these movies is just to promote the reality show format as like... a concept. But the thing is -- NOT TO FORESHADOW OR ANYTHING -- that comes with some very weird baggage. LIKE SUPER WEIRD.
Let's break these down in round-up style.
The first movie that apparently created the mold* was Candy Coated Christmas (2021) - *pun intended. This vehicle cameos Ree Drummond, The Pioneer Woman, who gets about two minutes of screen time which apparently warrants her this kind of promotional one-sheet placement:
Tumblr media
...like okay.
A shocking number of these stories involve people who are in financial peril. In this one, a hotel heiress finds herself on the brink of bankruptcy, and, on daddy's orders, she heads to a small town to evict the peppermint farmer tenants at her family's property who are, you guessed it, on the brink of bankruptcy.
In this movie, the spirit of Christmas (or spearmint gum in this case), is a plan to rescue these two financial catastrophes, oh, and they fall in love. Sure. Why not.
This movie is an empty candy-coated shell of a romance that I can best describe as serviceable. But apparently it was enough of a hit that the rest of the movies followed. So we can blame this candy cane for the Christmas rogering that followed in 2022.
Continuing from worst to most egregious...
A Gingerbread Christmas (2022) - This one cameos that Ace of Cakes dude (no idea his name and not interested in looking it up) who is judging a gingerbread competition that the main character desperately needs to win to save her dead mom's foundering bakery - YES another fucking business in peril.
Her love interest is the general contractor/baker/single dad who has taken up daily residence in the bakery where he is apparently simultaneously working on fixing the place up and also doing all of the baking........?
Tumblr media
Yeah, it makes little sense, and yet somehow this is not the worst of the four entries this year.
Both of these actors are people you'll recognize and will have you thinking heyyyyy where is she/he from? (Let me help you out: The Good Place/Reacher). They're fine.
This is fine.
It's just... not going to leave you feeling much of anything. And that's the exact opposite of what these movies are supposed to do. You're not killing me, you're just boring me. There's nothing spicy in this gingerbread, baby! ZING! Nailed 'em.
There's a kind of nice subplot about a new immigrant entering the contest as well, but maybe I have a soft spot in my heart for that. This definitely does not seem like it's going for the same audience as some of the Hallmark movies, but it's also only gesturing at substantive things rather than really delivering anything of substance. Hey guys, did you know that immigrant Muslims can celebrate Christmas too!?
MOVING ON.....
One Delicious Christmas (2022) - Alright... where do I even start here??? Continuing on our theme of struggling businesses, this one slightly breaks the pattern by telling us a story of the owner of a boutique inn who needs to find a new chef for her family business so that she can bring on a financial partner to help ease the strain of her sole ownership.
The cameo in this one is Bobby Flay who comes in as a restaurant critic to comment on the food. Sigh. I know. Look I'm just reporting here, don't harm the messenger.
Tumblr media
Alright there are three things here that just drove me completely batty: First, and I hate calling this shit out, but I gotta say the lead actress here has some partial vocal fry thing going on with her voice that is just impossible to watch for an hour and a half. I just wanted to shake her and be like BREATHE THROUGH YOUR CHEST. Fucking hell. It's a trial being me sometimes.
Second, obviously the theme here is cooking, but the whole story is based around the fact that the chef is doing new and risky recipes that the inn owner is nervous her people won't like... but like... the recipes are super basic? Like scalloped potatoes instead of mashed? Lobster bisque!? None of the new menu items read as dangerous or cutting edge -- especially if you watch the Food Network -- SO WHAT THE FUCK IS THE POINT1?!? Argh, okay.
Last, and this is just a weird thing that probably only I noticed, but like all these movies seemed to go out of their way to do mixed racial castings, which is a good thing, but then they also seem to have not made any adjustments for that in terms of story.
In this one, the love interest/chef is played by a Canadian actor of Filipino ancestry -- but his character name is Preston Weaver. Preston. PRESTON. PRESTON. There are also repeated references in the story to cooking for and with his grandmother, but no mention, not even one, that maybe her cooking wasn't American-style food? I mean, it is perfectly possible for a person to have their family immigrant story have happened so long ago, that even their grandparent doesn't make traditional foods from their country of ethnic origin, but it also seems WEIRD. Like some sort of weird white washing??? idk. Jury is still out on this I guess. I just don't think it would have killed them to reference one Filipino recipe or technique, especially since that's a pretty rich food culture. You know, as compared with making a main plot point that the fucking LOBSTER BISQUE keeps selling out.
(Is there a whiter word than bisque? I don't fucking think so).
I HAVE GONE ON TOO LONG. THE NEXT ONE.
Designing Christmas (2022) - Alright, I'm running out of steam and so I'm gonna make this one quick. This one cameos that dark haired lady from Love it or List it not sure her name not looking it up (Hilary???). This one is about a couple who work as a designer/contractor pair on a reality show and in order to save their failing show they decide their last show of the season will be a restoration of her family's old home that she just purchased and SURPRISE TO NO ONE WHO WATCHES THESE SHOWS there's a crack in the foundation blahblahblah WHO CARES!?
NO ONE.
Tumblr media
This one really suffers from the fact that the male lead is just boring.
Honestly, that's a theme throughout these movies. The male leads are super weak and boring. Tepid. Just absolutely forgettable characters played by actors who are deciding whether the fuck to fire their agents.
What's weird about this one is the way that the production really styles it after a reality show -- even including those restoration classic before and after reveals. But that is nothing on the last one......
A Christmas Open House (2022) -- Alright the cameos in this one are that Hometown Whatever couple who have been "restoring" houses in their hometown in someplace in the south and by restoring, I mean flipping but under the guise of home restoration.
ANYHOW - the plot is that this big city house stager teams up with a realtor to sell her family home to make sure her mom gets the best purchase price on the sale. It's just like those old Christmas classics that really capture the Christmas spirit - A Christmas Carol, Miracle on 34th Street, It's a Wonderful Life. You know. Really in that anti-capitalist vein.
Tumblr media
Deeeeeeeep sigh.
So... I don't even know how to say this. But this movie involves a Christmas miracle.
See, it turns out the house stager accidentally gave the furniture company the wrong credit card number, so the day before the showing ON CHRISTMAS the furniture people came and took back all of the perfectly staged furniture and GASP knocked down the (fake) Christmas tree! WHAT ARE THEY GONNA DO1?!? HOW ARE THEY EVER GONNA SELL THE HOUSE ON CHRISTMAS NOW!?$!
BUT IT'S A CHRISTMAS MIRACLE
The whole town shows up to bring them furniture that they can use to stage the house before the potential buyers arrive. Like... they show up with their odds and ends so that the house can be staged. SO THAT THE HOUSE CAN BE STAGED FOR SALE. Are... are you guys with me here? The miracle that the whole town rallied behind was bringing FURNITURE to STAGE A HOUSE. FOR SALE.
I just... I am walking away.
We are so fucking far from Dickens here we might as well be in a new fucking holiday.
And we are.
Because that's the whole point of all of these movies.
It's not Christmas.
It's American Christmas.
For all the shit that the nostalgic, small-town worshipping Christmas movies get this time of year, I'm gonna go out on a limb and say these movies are more insidious. Instead of blatantly trying to valorize the small town spirit, the support of family and friends, and getting back to your roots, these movies are like the Scooby Doo villain of Christmas movies. Rip off the mask at the end for the big reveal:
IT WAS CAPITALISM ALL ALONG!?!?
Anyhow, I don't know who was supposed to read these scripts before they became movies, but everyone involved will probably be laughing all the way to the bank.
Don't watch these. They're not funny enough to be worth the soul-gutting feeling of realizing what these movies are for.
Nothing.
Empty.
Spiritless.
Candy-coated capitalism.

I saw your anti chimney post in the tag which sadly only has 2 posts?
I'm curious because I disliked him in season 5 because he not only hit Buck but chased Maddie across the country to try and force her to come back, but I was never really his biggest fan.
Did you always dislike him or was that a tipping point for you?
It is a bit of a long answer, so I will put the answer unter the cut.
I want to make it absolutely clear that I am not conflating Chimney and Kenneth Choi. An actor is not his role and vice versa. From what I have seen, Kenneth Choi is somewhat clunky and awkward in his interactions on social media, likely because like me he didn't grow up with it (and maybe also because he is old enough to not give a lot of fucks about pleasing everyone and being 100% pure), but has a very dry sort of humor and judging from some vids with JLH is hysterically funny.
I have started watching 911 after having been sucked into the fandom through fanfic, and that was mostly not exactly Chimney-friendly one, so I had come in somewhat spoilered. But that is not exactly new for me - I tend to seek out spoilers before deciding if watching a tv show will be a waste of my time or not, because it is a time investment. Because of that, I also repeatedly made the experience that my experience of fanfic and canon can be vastly different, and I tend to like the asshole characters anyway, so while spoilered, I was prepared to give him a chance. (I wasn't much impressed with Buck in the first seasons, either, fanfic overhyped him waaaay too much, but he grew on me. Like fungus.)
So, to answer your question - I knew that there was a higher than average probability that i might not like him, but I didn't dislike him from the outset. There was no tipping point, exactly, it was the conflagration of a lot of irritants that just culminated in that shitty storyline in season 5.
He is introduced as a middle-aged guy who is so desperate for female attention that he comes off obsessive and stalkerish, and not above constantly lying to someone he plans to marry to keep that relationship. If at least he had been self-aware enough that it was built on lies and nothing real can out of it, I would have been able to put him into the 'well, plenty of people lie about who they are when they want to have sex, what else is new' pile and forgot about it, but that he seriously proposed to Tatiana while constantly lying to her? And then blew off at everyone when called out? That is some serious break from reality, dude. It also didn't endear him to me that he was constantly grumbling jealously about Buck's success with women all the while, when Buck had been one of the three people who had been at his bedside in the hospital post-rebar incident and had looked up to him. Envy is not pretty to look at.
Then there is his inability to shut up about the most private and hurtful things that his friends and coworkers might prefer to disclose at their own discretion and maybe also not to complete strangers, and pretty much 99 times out of 100 it is something about Buck. For fucks sake, the man works in a medical profession, and while HIPAA, as far as I understand, applies to paramedics the same way as to doctors and nurses, anyone else would and should have been sued several times, if they blapped off to strangers about all the things that Chimney did. Why exactly did Eddie need to know about Abby's ghosting on his first day? Why would he even think to joke about Dr. Wells' raping Buck during the appointment (and I don't care that the show doesn't follow up on that plot point, she was his therapist and she slept with her patient, who was in an emotionally vulnerable place, that equals rape to me)? In what world it is appropriate? There are too many incidents to count. The point is, this behaviour of constantly blurting out other people's business to strangers involves Buck so often that it feels targeted. Because I don't remember him blurting out willy-nilly about Bobby's alcoholism or Hen's cheating, especially not in front of the Fire Chief or in front of Councilwoman Ortiz or social workers. Those two would have eaten him alive if he did something like that, but everyone thinks its funny haha just because it's about Buck.
And the storyline about Daniel? When the only person who had a right to find out about his brother was the last to know? Even the bomber knew it before him. The one time when Chimney's diarrhea mouth might have given him some brownie points, he keeps the secret.
And then the wedding episode, when Chimney loses his memories. He sees Buck - he recognizes him, even if he doesn't know who he is exactly and he sees him wearing a firefighter uniform, so someone who is public servant and marked as a person of trust - and his subconscious makes it out as if Buck is someone he should fear? That is either a sign of enormous guilt that he never bothered to work through or that he genuinely thinks that Buck is a threat to him. And that.... tells me very unfortunate things about Chimney.
All that listed are things that don't even go into the whole PPD/casually threatening to cut off contact to the only family Buck has any interest in/the punch/the stalking arc. In short, there are plenty of reasons to dislike Chimney and not a lot of character growth that i have seen from him over the span of 7 seasons.
But on the other hand, I have been slowly rewatching 911 again, just a bit out of order. And sometimes, there are moments where I can see them having a moment where the writers could have spun off a subplot to give them a better relationship, like the catfishing episode; or sometimes I hear him making borderline jokes and think, yeah, okay, I can see how this could be taken out of context and on its own could be just chalked up under 'caustic humor'. (The problem is, that that context exists and points to a pattern of abusive behavior. If his abrasive humor was all that I had to judge him on, I would have thought people were overreacting over their weeaboo being picked on). He is also not the only one I have a problem with - Maddie's behaviour is super manipulative and reinforces Chim's bias, no matter how well meaning or fucked up from her own trauma she is. The culture of ignoring the way Chim talks about his coworker at the 118 doesn't paint anyone at the firehouse in the best light.
But that is the reason why I post my griping in the anti tag. Because people love what they love and his character speaks to people with different experiences than me on a different level. I have made my peace that plenty of people hate Snape and though it always is very unpleasant to suddenly come across a hate tirade in a fic in a completely unrelated fandom, I don't make it my life's mission to bash those authors in comments; and here on tumblr it is even easier to separate those posts out. What I found ridiculous was that I explicitly posted it in an anti tag, and still that nonnie came onto my dash to berate me. Like, what did they expect?
Hope that answers your question, nonnie.

Maximizing Your Budget: The Importance of Professional Renovation Consultation
Tumblr media
When planning a renovation, whether it’s a bathroom overhaul, kitchen remodel, or a complete home makeover, staying on budget is a top priority. But with so many decisions to make, managing costs can quickly become overwhelming. This is where a professional renovation consultation comes in. Engaging a renovation expert can help ensure that your project stays on track, your vision is brought to life, and your budget is maximized.
In this article, we will discuss the importance of renovation consultation and how it can help you achieve a beautiful and functional space while being financially savvy.
1. Accurate Budget Planning and Cost Estimates
A professional renovation consultation provides a comprehensive understanding of the financial aspects of your project from the outset. Experienced consultants can give you a detailed breakdown of the costs involved, helping you understand where to allocate your budget effectively. From materials and labor to unexpected costs, a consultant can help you set realistic expectations and avoid overspending.
Why It Matters:
A renovation consultant will help you prioritize your spending, ensuring that crucial areas of the project are funded appropriately.
They can offer guidance on how to source quality materials within your budget, whether that means opting for more affordable alternatives or suggesting cost-effective ways to use high-end materials.
Consultants can also provide you with multiple quotes from reliable contractors, helping you find the best value for your money.
2. Preventing Costly Mistakes
Renovating a home can be a complex process with many moving parts, and small mistakes can quickly turn into expensive problems. A renovation consultation can prevent common pitfalls by offering professional insights into the planning and execution stages. Consultants can identify potential issues early on, allowing you to address them before they turn into costly mistakes.
Why It Matters:
Professionals can guide you through the permitting and legal requirements for your renovation, preventing delays or fines.
They can spot design flaws or technical issues that might arise during construction, saving you from costly reworks later on.
With expert advice, you’re less likely to make decisions that might look good in theory but don’t work well in practice, such as choosing materials or layouts that will cause long-term problems.
3. Maximizing Return on Investment (ROI)
Whether you plan to sell your home in the future or simply want to enjoy it for years to come, maximizing the return on investment (ROI) of your renovation is key. A renovation consultation can guide you on how to make design and material choices that enhance your property value without breaking the bank.
Why It Matters:
Consultants can advise you on which renovations will bring the highest return. For example, kitchen and bathroom remodels are typically known to increase a home’s value.
They can help you stay focused on improvements that will provide lasting value, rather than focusing on trends that may lose their appeal over time.
A professional can also help you stay within your budget while still achieving a high-quality outcome, ensuring that your investment doesn’t exceed the potential increase in home value.
4. Ensuring a Smooth Project Flow
Renovation projects often require coordination between contractors, designers, and suppliers. This can lead to confusion and delays if not managed properly. A renovation consultation ensures that every aspect of the project is organized, allowing it to run smoothly from start to finish. A consultant acts as a central point of contact, managing timelines, contractors, and procurement, reducing the likelihood of miscommunication.
Why It Matters:
A consultant will keep the project organized by creating a clear timeline and ensuring all deadlines are met.
They can coordinate between various professionals, such as designers, electricians, and plumbers, to ensure the work is done efficiently and on time.
By staying ahead of potential roadblocks and delays, consultants can prevent project disruptions that often lead to additional costs.
5. Access to Expert Knowledge and Industry Connections
One of the greatest advantages of hiring a professional renovation consultant is their deep industry knowledge and network. Consultants often have relationships with trusted contractors, suppliers, and designers, allowing you to benefit from their established connections. This access can lead to discounts, referrals to reputable professionals, and the latest information on trends and materials.
Why It Matters:
Professional consultants can suggest the best contractors and suppliers in your area, ensuring that the work is done by skilled professionals.
They have access to wholesale pricing or trade discounts that may not be available to the general public, helping you save on materials and labor.
Consultants also stay up-to-date on the latest industry trends, helping you incorporate modern features or energy-efficient solutions into your renovation without exceeding your budget.
6. Personalized Design and Solutions
Every renovation is unique, and the process can feel overwhelming with so many decisions to make. A renovation consultation provides personalized guidance tailored to your specific needs, helping you create a design that fits your lifestyle, taste, and budget. With expert advice, you’ll be able to make informed decisions about everything from layout and design to material choices, ensuring your vision is realized.
Why It Matters:
A consultant will work with you to understand your goals and budget, ensuring that the final design meets your needs.
They can provide creative design solutions that make the most of your space, adding functionality and appeal without going over budget.
Professional consultants can offer recommendations based on their experience, saving you time and stress by guiding you toward the best choices.
7. Peace of Mind
Renovating your home is an exciting but often stressful process. Having a professional renovation consultation can provide peace of mind by knowing that you have an experienced expert on your side. With a consultant overseeing the process, you can rest easy knowing your project is in good hands and will stay on track, on budget, and on schedule.
Why It Matters:
With a professional in charge of the details, you can focus on other aspects of your life while knowing that your renovation is being handled efficiently.
A consultant can act as a problem-solver, handling any issues that arise during the renovation process and ensuring they are resolved promptly.
Having expert advice every step of the way ensures that the entire renovation process is stress-free and enjoyable.
Conclusion
Hiring a renovation consultation is a smart investment that can help you maximize your budget while ensuring that your home renovation project runs smoothly and efficiently. By providing accurate cost estimates, preventing costly mistakes, and offering expert advice, a professional consultant can guide you toward the best decisions for your home. With their help, you’ll create a space that not only meets your needs but also increases the value of your property, all while staying within your budget.
Before you begin your next renovation, consider reaching out to a professional consultant to ensure your project is a resounding success.

The Rise of Turnkey Interior Designers: Streamlining Your Design Experience
In a fast-paced world, where time is of the essence and quality is non-negotiable, the demand for turnkey interior designers is on the rise. These professionals provide a comprehensive solution for transforming spaces, taking on projects from concept to completion. This article explores what Turnkey Interior Designers Bangalore entails, the benefits it offers, and how it can simplify your design journey.
What Are Turnkey Interior Designers?
Turnkey interior designers specialize in delivering fully completed projects that are ready for immediate use. They manage every aspect of the design process, including planning, sourcing materials, executing construction work, and installing furnishings. Essentially, they provide a "ready-to-move-in" service, where clients can sit back and relax while the designer handles all the details.
The term "turnkey" suggests a complete package, where the client only needs to "turn the key" to open the door to their newly designed space, making it an attractive option for those seeking convenience and efficiency.
The Turnkey Interior Design Process
1. Initial Consultation
The process typically begins with an initial consultation where the designer meets with the client to discuss their vision, preferences, and budget. This meeting helps establish a fundamental understanding of the project’s scope and ensures that both parties are aligned from the outset.
2. Concept Development
Once the initial consultation is complete, the designer develops a concept that encapsulates the client's aspirations. This stage may involve creating mood boards, sketches, and 3D renderings to give clients a clear picture of what the final space will look like.
3. Detailed Planning
After the concept is approved, the designer moves into the planning phase. This includes selecting materials, finishes, furniture, decor, and lighting. Turnkey designers often have established relationships with suppliers and artisans, allowing them to source high-quality products at competitive prices.
4. Project Management
One of the most significant advantages of hiring a turnkey interior designer is their ability to handle project management. They coordinate all construction and installation activities, ensuring that timelines are met and that every detail aligns with the agreed-upon design. This level of management alleviates stress for clients, who can avoid the headaches of overseeing multiple contractors.
5. Installation and Styling
In the final phase, the designer oversees the installation and styling of the space. This includes arranging furniture, hanging artwork, and adding finishing touches to make the space cohesive and aesthetically pleasing. Once everything is complete, clients are presented with their beautifully designed interiors, ready for immediate use.
Benefits of Hiring Turnkey Interior Designers
1. Time-Saving Convenience
For busy professionals and families, finding the time to manage a design project can be daunting. Turnkey interior designers take this burden off the client's shoulders, allowing them to focus on other important aspects of their lives. From planning to execution, the designer manages all facets of the project.
2. Cohesive Design Vision
Turnkey designers have extensive experience in creating cohesive environments. They understand how to blend colors, textures, and styles to achieve a harmonious look throughout the space. Clients benefit from a unified aesthetic that reflects their style without having to worry about mismatched elements.
3. Access to Resources
Turnkey interior designers are well-connected within the industry. They often have access to exclusive furnishings, custom-made pieces, and premium materials that may not be available to the general public. This expanded resource pool allows them to create unique spaces tailored to the client’s preferences.
4. Stress Reduction
Managing a renovation or design project can be incredibly stressful, involving numerous decisions, deadlines, and potential obstacles. By hiring a turnkey designer, clients can eliminate much of this stress. Designers handle all the logistics, communication, and problem-solving, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience.

I think some part of me has been avoiding journaling recently. It's not fun, sitting in my feelings and having no real outlet. I'm not saying Journaling isn't good for me, or that no good comes of it, but lately I've been craving distraction. No matter what I do, though, the heavy, painful feeling doesn't go away.
I had been seeing a coworker sometimes, going on very occasional dates and trying to get to know him. I was hoping that would help my feelings of isolation. But the more I get to know him, the more I realize he's just... a bit too shallow for me. I go around and around inside my head over the reasons, and I can't seem to come to a place where I really trust him. And it took me until recently to figure out why.
When we met, he said he wanted to get to know me. But the longer we go on, the more I realize the phrase was used almost entirely under the pretense of getting me into bed. Despite my dysfunction, my breakdowns and my periods of no-contact, I have given him chances to know me, only to have it all thrown back in my face. No excuse is good enough, no reason valid. When he asked why I was so reluctant to go out, I gave many different reasons (I always gave reasons).
I work 60 hour weeks.
I have a weird custody schedule that is largely out of my control.
I have plans with my family.
None of which matters to him.
When asked about my trust issues and my resistance, I try to be kind and not involve him.
I have unresolved trauma.
I need someone I can trust with my mind before I give over my body.
I have regularly scheduled breakdowns.
Excuses.
Now... I told this man (who is 40, by the way) about my polyamorous lifestyle and my living situation on the first date. And last week he hit me up with "So I found out you have a boyfriend."
"Yes... I told you that."
"But you're telling people we're dating."
"Yes...? Because we are."
"That explains a lot."
The sheer audacity of this man to assume things about my life! It's not like I wasn't honest about this from the get-go! So that leaves me a couple of options regarding figuring out what happened.
perhaps he didn't understand my explanation of polyamory during our first date (he said he did).
Perhaps he wasn't listening the first time I said it.
Maybe he just forgot (although that's a really weird thing to forget, considering I talk about Fortitude from time to time).
Or perhaps it's more malicious; like he didn't think the rule applied to him, or that he could somehow change my mind.
None of these options look particularly appealing to me.
But the worst thing is that he doesn't approach me with problems; he throws them at me like accusations. And honestly, it makes me feel unsafe around him. I don't feel validated when his answer to my problems is "Let it go and come be with me." And I don't feel understood when I told him exactly who I was at the outset and he throws it in my face.
"Then why won't you sleep with me?"
I've given him that answer before. That I don't trust him. And he's just giving me more and more reasons why not. And... by now it feels like I'm never going to reach him. My answers aren't good enough; he doesn't respect them. And he meets every problem I have with "just have sex with me."
I wondered for a good while if there was something wrong with me. I like sex. I love the connection and the intimacy. But I'm not in the market to have someone who creates the false pretense of "getting to know me" when all he wants is to get in bed with me.
So... That has fallen through spectacularly.
In other news, the nameless sword has gone out of control again. It went after the Archipelago, which, unfortunately, is a bit of a sitting duck recently, and Phantasos got involved.
I have never seen him angry before. Morpheus says it's been centuries. He's been through a hell of a lot, and is just now reacting to all the changes, wars, and cataclysms we've been through. I can't blame him for getting heated.
He called me to supervise, but ultimately made the call to increase the weight of the Dream Realm Atmosphere tenfold. Even Morpheus has trouble calling his dream nail, there. The elders protested, but... if I'm honest, I don't see a real problem in Phan taking these measures. This is appropriate, and I dare say the next step in training the dream spirits to be stronger.
But despite my support, Phan is still mad at me. And it saddens me, but... I don't blame him. After all, there's a reason it took me so long to start coming to the Archipelago in the first place; I happen to be a bit of a disaster.
He told me if the sword attacks his home again, he'll send it back to Tartarus "where it came from." I tried to correct him, but he wasn't having it. And how could I blame him? So instead, I gave him the one thing the sword hasn't been able to learn or copy; the Violet Fire. And in doing that, I also asked him to meet with Michael (my immediate supervisor).
Michael told Phan that he was too angry and too frightened to see through a clearer lens, and that the mighty archangel could only give what answers Phan was ready for. Any other information might as well fall on deaf ears. But at least Phantasos knows he has a support system... if only he chooses to use it.

Movie Review: The Coffee Table is disturbing, sinister and exquisitely uncomfortable
Tumblr media
Independent films usually have limited releases in movie theaters, their filmmakers present them at festivals to publicize their work, which are subject to the scrutiny of very demanding critics who look for that detail that makes them stand out among the others and earn them awards. a prize. Many of these productions made in many countries are destined to end up in home formats or as filler for some platform, but what about those that win awards and that are liked by locals and strangers or by more general public, this may transcend and his creative team has more work in other types of work or that nothing happens and it is just the novelty of the moment while the big studios spend millions of dollars on guaranteed failures. To be honest, this can be seen as something very unfair because we have an idea and carry it out with good results, but nothing happens, especially for all those who were involved in that entire process, we tend to criticize in a bad way without knowing what is there. Behind the final result, it seems that from the outset this is doomed to failure and that only a few know about it and recommend it by word of mouth. Spain is a country that has had very good film productions, great directors and actors have taken us to know stories in different genres, some very successful and others not so lucky that are forgotten, there is a director who has done what he has able with what he has had, the short films Nada S.A (2014). A Love Story (2015), I'm Sorry Honey (2015), It's Not What It Seems (2015), R.I.P (2017), ASYLUM: Twisted Horror and Fantasy Tales (2020) gave him the gateway to the world of cinema With Matar a Dios (2017) and The Coffee Table (2022), Caye Casas together with Albert Pintó have made interesting proposals in their stories, in their direction and their cinematography. In a very punishing 2022 for the film industry came The Coffee Table, a project that is difficult to describe and has had its highest point in 2024, causing controversy and dividing opinions. The film has already been shown in different festivals with success putting its filmmakers on the right path to continue delivering such good works with a peculiar and sinister way of telling stories.
What is the movie about?
María (Estefanía de los Santos) and Jesús (David Pareja) have just become parents, but their relationship is not going through the best moment, this crisis has caused them to have more problems, what they cannot imagine even in their worst nightmares is what Buying a dining room table will become the worst decision of your lives. Some works are characterized by being very peculiar, their vision may or may not be novel, they may or may not give us a good experience in a time of entertainment, and they may or may not involve us in their plot beyond what we think. and in the end, it may or may not leave us thinking about what we just saw and what relationship that has to something that has personally happened to us. Having said the above, the Caye Casas The Coffee Table does this and more and here the question should be asked, how do you tell something without telling anything? We are in the era of the potential spoiler, some are in favor, others against, and others the only thing that matters is causing debate with the above, A few films cause an uncomfortable or unpleasant effect on the viewer, and some know a lot and also those who do not know anything about what they are going to see, I remember that this media phenomenon occurred with 3 films, The Blair Witch Project (1999), Paranormal Activity (2007) and A Quiet Place (2018) where the attendees of a movie theater got involved with what they were seeing, making this experience something strategically planned and novel. We well know that an entire plot can develop from one idea that involves more subplots within a main one. Some are too elaborate and end up confusing us due to their lack of fluidity and because they want to tell everything in a very short time. Others are simple and easy to understand. See, how a fast and bold narrative that immediately puts us in context without us having to have any prior baggage, takes a moment and for a certain time shows us a series of events that end with a climate whether shocking or not. , the game of fortune telling and knowing in advance what is going to happen and how it is going to conclude has been very fashionable in recent years due to the lack of creativity of its filmmakers or the demands of the studios for wanting to earn more at the box office than by presenting something of quality. The Coffee Table redefines itself as a dramatic thriller with overtones of horror and no, it is not about a table possessed by some demon or that it represents something paranormal, it is simply how they define it at the beginning: "The "famous" Rörret coffee table with an unbreakable bronze tinted glass, a structure with an image of 2 beautiful ladies modeled in ivory and bathed in a perfect imitation of gold, a piece of Swedish design, so versatile that it can be used in the living room, in the bedroom or in any corner of the home where you want to give an elegant and designer look, with a terrible design and taste, it should be clarified, and it is intended to be the preferred table for having a coffee or an aperitif with our loved ones. , and he assures us that this table, due to its (awful) design and its level, will change our lives for the better and will bring us happiness at home." The above could not be further from the truth, a charlatan salesman who would do and say anything to sell his shit to an unsuspecting person who wants to buy it, and from this moment on things are going to change radically and not change their lives for the better and bring happiness to the home, but on the contrary, this is going to turn their worst nightmare into something real and it must be clarified that as María, her protagonist, says, "nothing is unbreakable." That being said, this horrible table will be the one that sets It tests the characters and impacts us as an audience. Many of us ask ourselves, how could a damn coffee table change my life for the worse? It is not the table in itself, it is everything that surrounds it, the tension of its characters that becomes increasingly deeper to the point where by an accident we verify that this unbreakable glass tinted in bronze causes a tragedy to a married couple in the that things are not going well at all, a husband who feels pressured by his partner who has already chosen everything, from the wedding day, what he and his mother will wear and even the decision to have a child and name him. Cayetano, which is the name of her grandfather, which he refers to as a tacky name, like a fascist bullfighter, and it is here that the first spark of black humor jumps when the seller mentions that he is also called Cayetano like his father, his grandfather, his great-great-grandfather and several more generations and the wife refers to this gentleman salesman as horrible and shabby like the little table, this already puts us in the context of what we are going to see later.
Tumblr media
According to the reasoning and I agree that objects are very shabby, you have to treat them well and give them love, without a doubt one of the worst sales strategies, I have to say that while I saw that and listened to this monologue from the seller, I would have left before he ended up not buying the damn table and that the protagonist ends up buying out of pride, from this we move on to the opening credits that we see interspersed in the manual on how to assemble the table, following this we see the façade of the building, the protagonist raising the box and the presentation of the other characters, the neighbor (Cristina Dilla) who is the mother of a very unlovable 13-year-old girl named Ruth (Gala Flores) who continually threatens Jesús with incriminating him for pedophilia while he rejects her advances for confusing an act of kindness with a fictitious crush. The plot continues and Jesús and María continue arguing over the name of the child and other trifles that is when he notices that a screw is missing to be able to finish assembling the table and calls Cayetano to ask him to replace the missing one while talking to him he places the glass face up a detail that will take on vital importance, then María goes out to do some shopping to receive a visit from Carlos (Josep Maria Riera), Jesús's brother, and his wife Christina (Claudia Riera), leaving Jesús alone with the baby, the Father tries, by all means, to stop him from crying, up to this point everything seems to be going normally until in a shot that we do not see and with the camera fixed we hear a stumble, a blow, a glass breaking despite the seller's promise to decapitate the baby. The above is an act that we never see explicitly, we only see flying glass and something that falls under the chair that we assume and later they confirm that it is the head of little Cayetano in a masterful and cinematically well-realized shot and only 19 minutes have passed. minutes of the 91 minutes that the film lasts, from this moment on things will begin to take a sinister and terrifying turn for the protagonists and for us as viewers, since we know that it was an accident we ask ourselves the question: how can we explain what would have happened if we were in Jesus' place? the tension level goes from zero to one hundred in a matter of seconds, then the scene follows where we see what happened, the table, the broken glass, blood on the carpet, and the small headless body while a children's song plays. The shots, the shots, and the cinematography from this fact do not show the cruelest moments, nothing is revealed in everything that refers to this, it is off-camera and it is up to the viewer to structure everything else in his mind. , this is undoubtedly planned and done premeditated because what the director seeks is for us as an audience to get 100 percent involved with the plot and the characters, everything here turns out to be unfair, cruel, and hard enough to face, in At this point it is no longer necessary nor is it necessary to graphically show what has happened and what is going to happen and as an audience we are a little more immersive, more empathetic, more pimped with what we are seeing, thinking and feeling, a discomfort that each of us will know how to drive. Talking more about what happens would be difficult to explain, it is each one who in the end will realize if what happened could happen to any of us or not if it has an extremist ending where all the subplots that have been handled In the script written by Cristina Borobia and Caye Casas himself, they succumb to an equally disturbing and uncomfortable fact, the handling of the information they have while there are visitors at home and María finds out what happened due to the insistence of Ruth's inflammable falsely accuse Jesus and his wife of having kissed her in the elevator of the building, and that everyone presents faces something unexpected and this ends abruptly with the brother in shock and inside a patrol car babbling things that make no sense to the others but that we We understand perfectly without him stopping to repeat, "the little dining room table" while in parallel we are told what happened to Mary and Jesus that a tragedy gives rise to a greater one. An unexpected closure in which we can already have the complete panorama and understand the reason for some shots that take on a singular and vital importance for everything else, at first we saw the building and the balconies, then how Jesus places the glass while he is assembling the table, we see that everything is going towards the same point where there will be a crossroads of all those small but very important stories as well as the development that each of the characters is having, we can appreciate the changes in mood, the fear, anguish, horror and we can assume that none of us, not even us, are prepared or can even think of something coherent that could happen so that all this can be understood and a solution can be found. We are faced with a Spanish dramatic thriller that offers us a simple but impactful proposal, a plot that develops with solvency in itself and drags us along with it to a very miserable point, risking everything for everything in favor of the script in which the Circumstances turn harmless dialogues into something deeper and more horrible that goes from the disagreement of buying the damn table to a simple interaction between María and a man in the supermarket who asks her about wine, every word that is exchanged is strategically planned to be ironic, sarcastic, in bad taste but never something comforting. It is here where we have revealed what the secret of success is in this film that confuses us due to its title and its advertising and this is that in itself it manipulates feelings and ideas by making its characters express their deepest emotions in a way that is too every day, we see horror coming because it is directly linked to the unknown that here is neither ethereal nor otherworldly nor are there serial killers or demons, or paranormal things, it is simply that an accident has occurred with devastating consequences that give way to something even more big and even more devastating. The fear that Casas handles seems so recognizable to us, so innately human that allowing us as the audience to be the ones to know this terrible secret before any of the other characters is an experience that has very rarely been carried so well and to this level in cinema. If we talk about large productions, it is seen and many times proven that less is more, that it is those simple things that show that creativity can have no limits and present things like this without having to resort to easy scares or structured special effects with CGI or to confuse us as an audience that we have to overthink things, no no, here everything is suggested and direct. It must be recognized that Caye Casas's cinema does not mess around or waste time with long and meaningless scenes, nor does it come to educate us with moral messages that love conquers everything, it is just that his cinema is like that, direct, crude, cruel, who can laugh at himself out loud and then take you to the limit with a fear of the horror that you must face, his personal and very successful touch is to make us feel uncomfortable, give us a bad time but at the same time have a good time With this and here we ask ourselves, why feel this way if the purpose of cinema is to entertain and make us have pleasant times? The answer to this could be so simple to say, let whoever wants to see it and that's it, but that's not the case, there is also the fact of seeing something that breaks with everything traditional to which we are already accustomed, that breaks those paradigms that they impose and with which we "must" entertain ourselves and accept that cinema has changed and evolved by rethinking its own rules and woe to those who want to break them because it will surely be a failure. Having said the above, perhaps there is a specific audience for this type of production that better understands what the filmmakers want to tell us and not a more general audience that only seeks to have a good time, that is not going to happen here, this is a work in The one where we want time to go faster and tell us what is happening, what they are doing, what they will do, how it will all end and this need for this to happen like this and so quickly is because it makes us feel uncomfortable. because we begin to overthink things that have nothing to do with the plot of the film but with our plot and history and it plays with us to do that sinister exercise of searching in the recesses of our mind for that dark secret, that thing that we made of which no one found out or whether it was on the contrary reliving the consequences of that or leaving undefeated to this day, maintaining it that way and pretending to everyone that although we are not perfect we have an image to take care of that we invented from that.
Tumblr media
It is so uncomfortable that Casas puts us in the situation of the father or mother and asks us what we would have done in their place, perhaps this is a shameless mockery of all those films that do the same thing without even having a vestige of what is here. It turns out, and best of all, it leaves us with the implicit morbidity of wanting to see on another, more direct level what happened, to see how he stumbled and how the baby ended up decapitated, to see the body and head separated, to see what It happens at the end and I don't doubt that they are already setting their eyes on this either to take the idea and make it a more concrete remake or to copy and imitate this style but at once we can guess that no one could do it better than what they have done. made its director, it would not have the same effect because we already know what is happening, we already imagine it in the most atrocious ways, and seeing it explicitly would only satisfy that morbid curiosity that we have as spectators and that current cinema has left us. The same film suggests to us that even for a moment we are going to have a bad time. We perfectly accept and are aware of the disturbing situation in which we are placed as a spectator and this happens when we begin to empathize with its protagonist, whether we like it or not, we understand what has happened. past and make us complicit in an imaginary crime but one that carries a lot of truth in the things that happen in the real world. We cannot say that after having seen all this Casas is not a genius or a director who promises a lot and has everything to succeed as long as he remains faithful to his style, we cannot say that this type of work is the most common and that Anyone can do it, nor can we deny the genius with which it is narrated and the effect that this has on us and this is what modern and current cinema was missing, a watershed between what can and is allowed to be done with a very limited budget. and whatnot, but above all, select your audience very well and who you can reach. The cast is made up of David Pareja, Estefanía de los Santos, Josep Maria Riera, Claudia Riera, Eduardo Antuña, Gala Flores, Cristina Dilla, and Itziar Castro who do a spectacular job, understand their characters perfectly well and develop them to the level of what they the plot requires. The music composed by Esther Méndez (Bambikina) has simple chords that range from childish and simple to pieces that increase tension and suspense, chords that achieve symmetry between what we see and hear, a very good work that is at the level of what is required. In conclusion, The Coffee Table is a film that has rarely been seen, which makes us think that independent cinema has much more to offer and that this is where the future of cinema in this and other genres may lie. a work that marks a before and after, demonstrating that something bigger can come from a small and simple idea. Congratulations to its director and its entire creative team for giving us a clear and direct example that less is more. The Coffee Table is now available on the Prime Video platform. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oB1lTSxB2j4 Read the full article

How To Find The Right Class Action Lawyer In Los Angeles
When facing a legal battle that involves a class action lawsuit, it is essential to have a knowledgeable and experienced attorney by your side. Class action cases can be complex, involving a large group of individuals seeking justice against a common defendant. In Los Angeles, where legal matters abound, finding the right class action lawyer can make all the difference in the outcome of your case. If you're seeking expert representation, consider the following steps to find the best class action lawsuit lawyer in Los Angeles:
Research and Referrals
Start your search by conducting thorough research on class action lawyers in Los Angeles. Online resources, such as legal directories, reviews, and law firm websites, can provide valuable insights into the qualifications and reputation of various attorneys. Additionally, seek referrals from friends, family, or colleagues who have experience with class action cases or have worked with reputable lawyers in the past.
Expertise in Class Action Lawsuits
Look for attorneys or law firms that specifically mention their experience handling class action lawsuits. These cases require specialized skills and knowledge of complex litigation procedures. A lawyer who has a track record of success in class action cases is more likely to navigate the intricacies of your case effectively.
Visit Law Firm websites.
Once you have a list of potential lawyers or law firms, visit their websites to gather more information. Look for details about their experience, practice areas, and past class action cases they've handled. Law firms like Law Advocate Group often provide comprehensive information about their attorneys and notable case outcomes, which can give you a glimpse of their expertise.
Credentials and Professional Associations
Check the credentials and affiliations of the lawyers you are considering. Membership in relevant professional associations and certifications from recognized legal organizations are indicators of an attorney's commitment to their practice and continuous learning in their field.
Client Testimonials
Pay attention to client testimonials and reviews available on the law firm's website or on reputable review platforms. Feedback from past clients can offer valuable insights into an attorney's communication style, professionalism, and overall satisfaction with their services.
Initial Consultation
Many class action lawyers in Los Angeles offer initial consultations where you can discuss your case and evaluate the lawyer's suitability for your needs. Take advantage of these consultations to ask questions about their approach to handling class action cases and how they plan to proceed with your particular lawsuit.
Fee Structure
Class action lawsuits can be financially demanding, so it's crucial to have clarity on the lawyer's fee structure from the outset. Some attorneys may work on a contingency fee basis, where they only receive payment if they win your case, while others may have different billing arrangements. As we rake over the debris of their careers it is worth reminding ourselves that they potentially had a real winning formula at the outset and could have been huge
At the time of Megxit I had grown to dislike Meghan, but mainly because she just seemed unsuited to royal life, unable to fit into a hierarchical and traditional organisation, unwilling to embrace the UK and unable leave Hollywood excesses behind. I still had goodwill towards Harry and there had always been the sense Harry wanted a more private life so I felt their decision to step back the best for everyone. But my goodwill was somewhat reduced by the petulant and antagonistic way they went about Megxit.
However, I still had every hope they would make a great success of it and leave the RF alone to continue its role. In my view, once they signed the deals with Netflix and Spotify and set up Archewell they had a winning formula for success. As we do post mortems on what went wrong I think it is useful to remember that they did have all the elements for great success.
This is what I expected them to do when they first announced all these deals. They would use their prestige as ex-royals and their large fan base to raise large amounts of money via Archewell for specific projects that they would be involved in. These would be things like buildings wells in a poor county in Africa or South America, building and setting up a school in another country, conservation projects in another country etc. They would then be filmed working on these projects. It would be win win win for everyone - themselves, Netflix and the charitable/humanitarian causes. The latter would get projects funded, completed and publicised. He could even have brought in volunteers from the UK/US who were using it to gain skills and life experience (even perhaps out of work veterans?) and so could have had a fourth 'win' too, and they could have built in opportunities to help empower women (as long as they respected the cultures in the countries in which they operated). There could have been some US-based projects too if they wanted to stay closer to home.
Each project would probably be sized to be completed over a year, making a large multi-series documentary. They could also drill down into the country they are working in, the lives of the people they are working with, the causes they are helping etc. The success of this would raise their profiles to enable them to continue to raise funds for their next project, and it would be a virtuous circle over many years. This is what I thought they were going to do.
They obviously(?) have kids but they would only have to have been there and filmed some of the time, and the rest of the time the projects would continue without them. They could have taken the kids and nannies with them when they filmed and occasionally involved them, or kept them completely out of the limelight. It would have been great life experience for the kids too. The pandemic period (and her pregnancy(?)) was a great time to plan what they would do and plan their fund-raising.
I would have gladly watched this, and I think others would too. They would have put plenty of themselves into these projects so it would also have satisfied the fans who were interested in them rather than the humanitarian angle. I think Harry could have turned himself into a much-loved Bear Grylls-type character, but with his skills focused on his various projects rather than Bear's speciality of survival. An added side interest would have been watching him and Meghan learn new skills: Harry learns to brick-lay, Meghan learns to thatch, Harry learns how to pick coconuts, Meghan learns how to look after goats - that kind of thing.
There are many reasons this didn't happen / couldn't work though.
Harry is too focused on the past and every perceived wrong in his paranoid mind. Meghan likewise cannot let anything go. They could not look forward. Every thing they did (Oprah, Netflix, Spare, Spotify, court cases etc) was solely focused on whining about the past, with lies thrown in to increase their victimhood. This was not interesting for anyone to watch, read or listen to. Who wants to pay to hear people whine? And most of their whines are lies or distortions because they take everything as a slight, have no ability to judge rights and wrongs or see others' perspectives.
Harry is too stupid and too lazy to plan any of this. He is too used to having aides organise everything for him. He has little creativity, organisational skills or work ethic. He delegated too much to Meghan who had him dance to her drum. She is also lazy and lacks creativity and had her own agenda that focused purely on making money and global stardom.
Meghan is not the person she made Harry think she was. When they dated she may have come over as a simple, outdoorsy humanitarian who was at home in Botswana, but this is far from the truth. She has no compassion for others and just wanted the designer dresses, the jewellery, the shoe collection, the lavish mansion, the A-list friends and A-list events, the attention on herself. There is no way she would make the kind of TV I described. She wanted adoration just for being a duchess.
Neither is grounded in the real world, with no concept of timescales and the need for Netflix or Spotify to make a timely return on their investment. They both have such huge senses of entitlement.
If Harry now wants to go to Africa and make these kinds of programs without Meghan, good luck to him. But he has already squandered the good will with the pubic and connections with powerful people who would have helped him raise funds for great projects, and the Netflix fees won't go far if he needs to use it to fund physical infrastructure. Plus with his contract up for renewal in 2025, he is virtually out of time to do anything in time for the renewal decisions. He now has such a small fan base and a large percentage of the population who will not watch anything he produces on a matter of principle, so he will have a really uphill struggle. I might well still be interested in watching a programme about him working in Africa, but in the back of my mind now will be the concern he is just doing it to get a new contract to get new funds for round two of his preferred activities of 'bash the royals' and 'silence the press'.
But there was a great opportunity there, and they blew it.

Key Reasons Why You Should Be Using An Event Management Agency
Key Reasons Why You Should Be Using An Event Management Agency
There are many benefits to using an event management company to manage your event – stress reduction being just one of them, my clients tell me!  Running an event is a complex and costly exercise so the preparation and management of every detail counts. Here are our top 6 key reasons to use a professional event management company:
For more details on our products and services, please feel free to visit us at: Marketing Houston, Event marketing Houston, Immersive brand experience Houston, Experiential events Houston & Houston experiential events.
Please feel free to visit us at: https://xs.agency/
1) Saves you time and money
By outsourcing your event management to a company that runs events day in day out, you will save time and money.  An event management company has established relationships with hotels, venues and suppliers and can negotiate excellent rates on your behalf. They also know all the added value you can get – getting you more for your money and adding to the experience. All these insider relationships and tips mean you save money on everything you need.
An event management partner saves you time because all you have to do is agree the date and location with the event company and the rest will be taken care of. Additional things you make overlook like insurance get covered as part of the service and it is great to hire a company who you can trust to look after everything from the original concept to the delivery on the day.
An event management company will save you and your team late nights, headaches and the hassles of organising the event yourself.
2) Gives you creative ideas and proven event formats that will work for you
Event organisers will give you new and exciting ideas for your events – formats that are tried and tested and solutions they know will work well and are tailored specifically for you. Depending on your requirements, they will recommend an event format to suit you, your audience and your budget. Wow factor doesn’t have to break the budget! Event managers bring a lot of experience into play which means you can be confident that your event will be a success.
3) Expert planning and budget management to ensure overall event success
The initial brief and planning is critical to a flawlessly executed event.  A successful event requires a detailed master plan and a timeline and budget that is adhered to. An event management company will create these for you and agree from the outset the key objectives, responsibilities and targets.  This plan details every logistical and sales element that needs to take place and is the working bible of any event manager.  It will be a working document and continually updated, and will give you the flexibility and peace of mind to make sure all elements of your event are taken care of. The budget will be created by an experienced event planner who understands ALL the costs involved and the variances that can occur. This will be managed and any variances to plan highlighted and appropriate actions taken. There is no re-inventing the wheel and learning by your mistakes as an event management company will ensure you success from the get-go.  After all event management is a minefield and no-one can afford to make mistakes.
4) Technology that gives your attendees a professional and slick journey
Event management companies use an array of tools and software that allows them to communicate with attendees slickly and professionally. This can be anything from creating an event specific website that showcases all your event details such as the conference programme, map, attendee list, the exhibitor list, speaker photos and biographies – to online registration.  The tools will take the attendee right through to the delivery of joining instructions and finally a text message reminder of the venue postcode the day before. These systems ensure your event is professional and slick for all attendees.
Another key area of technology is the AV requirements of your event and to select and work with an AV team that deliver the best solution with the best pricing. Event management companies will have trusted suppliers that they work with and know will deliver every time – and if you’re on a tight budget it’s essential to know what you can and can’t do without.
5) Professional delivery on the day
The two most vital ingredients to a slick event delivery onsite is firstly preparing a detailed event plan for all to use. This would list day by day, hour by hour what rooms would be used, how they should be set, what deliveries are expected, what time refreshment, lunch and dinners should be ready, which staff are responsible for what and so on.  And secondly having a well briefed and experienced team managed by an event director with responsibility for the overall event. An event management company would ensure both of these allowing you to network and focus on enjoying the event with your guests. In particular business clients appreciate full attention from their hosts and are open to building relationships and planning future business endeavours during an event.
6) Managing your risk and keeping you and your attendees safe
An event is full of uncertainties that might be encountered like power failure, a medical emergency or even a fire. This is where using an event management company pays dividends as you’ll have experienced staff onsite that would know what to do should an incident arise. Prior to the event a good health & safety management plan would have been devised and submitted to the venue. This would determine all the risks and implementation of the strategies to help remove the risk.
Choosing to hire an event management company just makes good sense if you want to have a successful event that you and your guests can enjoy. All the planning and management of your event will be so much simpler when handled by an event management company!

Strategies For Finding High-Quality It Recruitment Services
Tumblr media
When you're looking for a new IT Recruitment Brisbane company, it can be hard to figure out which one will be the best fit. Sometimes, you have to work with multiple companies before finding the one that's just right. However, there are steps you can take to make sure that your search goes smoothly and that you find someone who can help your business get ahead in this competitive industry.
1. Look for the right company
When you're looking for a company to help you find your next IT recruit, it's important to consider the following:
Reputation. Look for a company that has a good track record and high ratings. You can usually find this information on their website or social media accounts.
References. Before deciding which recruitment agency to work with, ask them if they have references from previous clients who might be willing to talk about their experience working with them (this is also called "testimonials").
Case studies/projects completed by recruiters at the agency in question are another way of evaluating whether or not an agency is worth hiring--they show how well they've done in similar situations as yours!
2. Ask the right questions
When you're interviewing a candidate, you want to know that they have a proven track record. Ask the recruiter about their experience and success rate, as well as references from past clients. This will help you gauge whether or not they are capable of finding the best candidates for your company.
You should also inquire about their process for finding IT talent--it's important that they understand what makes up an ideal candidate so that they can match them with the right role at your company.
Tumblr media
3. Find out more about their process
If you want to find out more about the recruitment agency's process, ask them.
How will they communicate with you? Do they use email, phone calls or text messages? Are there times when it's okay for them to contact you outside of business hours (like during dinner)?
How will they find candidates? Do they have their own database of people who are looking for jobs in IT and technology or do they rely on external sources such as job boards and social media platforms like LinkedIn for their leads.
How will they screen candidates before presenting them to me for interviews (or other steps in the process). This could be anything from checking references from past employers, verifying educational credentials and certifications, checking criminal background checks etc...
4. Know what you can expect from them
Know what you can expect from them
A good IT recruitment agency will be able to provide you with a clear plan and timeline of how they will work with you. This should include:
The role of the recruitment agency in finding candidates
The process of working with a recruitment agency
Costs involved (this may vary depending on your needs)
How long it takes to find a candidate (this depends on how much information is provided at the outset)
After all this has been explained, make sure that both parties agree on all aspects before signing any contracts or paying any fees!
Conclusion
We hope that you find these tips helpful in your search for the right IT Recruitment Brisbane agency. The industry is changing rapidly and it can be difficult to keep up with all of the latest developments, but there are still plenty of great companies out there who can help you find the best talent for your company.

Why Trust Matters in Working With Solicitors on the Gold Coast
It's often said that trust is key when it comes to working with solicitors – and that certainly rings true for those looking to hire a solicitor on the Gold Coast. Whether you're seeking advice for an individual or business, making sure you trust whatever legal counsel you decide to work with is vitally important, as it creates a foundation from which both parties can collaborate in an open and honest manner.
It's likely that if you're engaging with a solicitor on the Gold Coast, then you'll want the highest quality of service possible, so before you commit to any agreement ensure that trust lies at its core. And how exactly do you go about instilling trust? Here are some tips:
Research and Reviews
The very first step when seeking a lawyer should be researching their background and reading reviews from previous clients. This can easily be done online by entering the law firm’s name into Google, as well as checking out review sites such as Yelp or Product Review. You should also feel free to ask questions while conducting said research – this will help give you an idea of their legal knowledge, customer service skills and attitude towards clients before making your choice.
For example, Queensland-based law firm QCLaw has many five-star reviews across various platforms, with previous clients commenting positively on their lawyers' expertise and attentiveness throughout their cases. This type of feedback should always be taken into consideration before making your final decision – after all, what better way is there to gauge whether or not someone can be trusted?
Meet In Person
Face-to-face conversations provide invaluable insight when it comes to selecting a solicitor – not only does it give both parties a chance to get acquainted with one another but establish trust quite quickly too (something which is especially difficult when dealing solely over email). Questions regarding fees & payment plans can also be discussed during these meetings, allowing both sides to agree upon something reasonable & feasible for each party involved - quelling any doubts prior to signing off on an agreement then & there.
Consultation Fees
Most solicitors will offer free consultations in order to discuss the specifics of your case & answer any queries that may arise throughout this process - however, if they don't offer them then make sure they explain why not & offer something else instead (such as discounted rates for future services). It's always good practice for solicitors to set expectations upfront in terms of cost & timeframe so that both sides know where they stand from the outset - after all, communication between client & practitioner is key if long-term trust is going to grow between them!
In conclusion, solicitors on the Gold Coast shouldn't come without due diligence being conducted beforehand - because ultimately trusting your lawyer will help produce mutual satisfaction with whatever outcome results down the line. Although researching reviews may provide insight into what other people think of certain firms, meeting them in person & discussing payment plans beforehand will ultimately allow both sides to feel more relaxed during times of need - thus increasing efficiency during proceedings due to lack of anything left unsaid!
