EPIC IS JUST A BIG PART OF MY FRIEND'S VOCABULARY (they still havent seen the musical. I've made them hear TAOW but that's it) AND THEY WONT STOP SAING IT IN ENGLISH CLASS AND I DO THE EXACT. SAME. THING. They've taken to staring at me with the most murderous gaze you can imagine.

One time, the teacher heard it and said, "Xavier! We're already past the Odyssey unit! If you're going to mention Greek Mythology, at least relate it to what we're reading!"

Every time my friends say "epic" I reply "the musical" and it's honestly a wonder they haven't yeeted me off a tower

#we were reading R+J #so I immediately started talking about how Paris and Juliet remind me of Paris and Helen (like any sane person)#and making comparisons to the iliad with motivations and outcomes and shit #because shakespeare took inspo from homer #and the teacher also glared at me (I love her sm)
