Also you may recall emu has a big hammer for revstar#thats the bottom of it the gem thing all the weapons have hers is sharp#i remember seeing meta post abt how mahiru has a blunt weapon because she never actually aimed for the lead role#rather she only wanted to be by karen's side. so her weapon wasnt capable of cutting anything in the first place#Fastforward to the movie and well LOLLLLL#though i think its funny in the movie her mace is still mostly used for i timidation againstbhikari.. bc again shes not winning for a lead#revue starlight youre neat. maybe i like revstar.#<- has been insane for 4+ years#Needed their pose to be smth where nenes weapon isnt visible because I DONT KNOW WHAT WEAPON TO GIVE HER. also. The start of the game forcing u into the genesis comic feels. Very silly. its a tonal jump from the death to like have sudden narration. It shouldve been framed differently idk. Or just. Not inserted into the story. Anyways.
Love the beginning of this game. Setup is so good. I love Jacob and Mirandas intros. Jacob as the one who tells you the truth, who has a moral compass vs Mirandas sole purpose and drive for two years being to bring you back to life regardless of her impression or opinion of you personally.
#Shitpost#love how miranda responds once you have results too#i love how cold and calculating she is#and like she wouldnt work as well if she wasnt the lead on the project. Her leading it and basically being a huge part of why youre alive#just like. Immediately places her in a fascinating space#also shes basically your XO but also shes reporting back to TIM about you#side note but tbh still mad at how they handled TIM in 3. he just became a villain where hes WAY more interesting here#hes so middle ground nuanced and that sort of dies. A shame tbh#theres a lot i dislike about me3 lol. Not entirely but still#TIM and the ending. And the mechanics with the separate app#is that still up? I hope so. Im playing og mass effect lol#anyways also. Jacob is so interesting too#Hate that he got memed on and ignored by most of the fandom#tbh his loyalty quest is kinda iffy too iirc but his base here is so good#and his comments throughout the game too#Also. I think me could have been fixed if we learned who built the reapers and got into the shit#The theme of organic vs synthetic life couldve been expanded upon#ESPECIALLY since synthetic life literally cant exist without an organic creator#the cycle couldve been MORE is all im saying#the creators couldve built the reapers with that pov. Like a terrible cleansing pov#Organics so convinced organic life is corrupt that they wished to destroy it#and the reapers if shown that truth would realize the hypocrasy. The lie they were built on#Or something#mass effect is so good but the endings are all bad#Thematically they are a little interesting. Esp the ending where you leave it to the next cycle#BUT. like i hate synthesis and control. Those are hard to reconcile with the Themes imo#destroy works but tbh to me. Destroy shouldve ended with a scene of some scientist who believes life is corrupt. Building another AI#an AI to destroy life.#thats all.#Ok ill shut up now

Apple liked Zoissette, unfortunately.
Her conversation with Ement had gone well. He had some suggestions that were in her wheelhouse.
Stationary, reading material, inkwells and pens, reading material, something magically enchanted⊠a smile.
She paused on that thought. Ement was teasing her with that, to be sure, but hearing that Zoissette spoke about her and worried for her had set her heart pacing and her cheeks reddened almost instantly. She was sure he picked up on it, too.
She wasnât sure what to do with that revelation. It made sense of course, looking back. How involved she was with Zoiâs recovery, to the point of experimenting her aether regulator on herself, leading to her own mess. Looking back she recognized that she lost focus in their conversations of late. Gods, she was staring at her a lot, too⊠did Zoi know?
In the end, there wasnt anything to do, she supposed. After what happened with Mathye she was sure Zoi did not wish for any confessions from coworkers. Not to mention the training, wouldnt be right to mess things up when Zoi would be helping her learn swordplay.
Besides⊠it was too selfish. Everyone was being so kind to her, chiefly Zoissette herself, checking up on her, sheâd heard that much of her unconsciousness was overseen by the Elezenâs vigil, which was lovely to think about. To turn that kindness into awkwardness and discomfort⊠no, that wouldnt do. Besides, there was the gift to consider, and she had the perfect idea formulating in her mind.
She wasnt sure if it was possible, but that was the exciting part. And clearly, she needed a project to keep her from⊠distractions.
And so she got to work, first, a few tests of the theory, binding and aetherically charged word, technically the ink used to write the word to the quill. It was simple enough to pull off, not unlike charging a cartridge for a specific gunblade. It did nothing on its own other than ready two components for enchantments. That would be the tricky part.
Old Sharlayan was the best option for consultation concerning her theory. The practice used to conceal memories that was now public was where she got the idea, but rather than something as complex and a concept or idea, could it be used for objects with an aetheric link? That took some doing. Thankfully she had the Sons of Saint Coinach to turn to, colleagues that could sponsor her personal project, though it would prove immensely useful to all researchers should it prove successful. In this she managed to rope Linlia Lia and Fourtenbraugh, researchers and Nymean specialists who had read of a similar idea the scholors of yore employed.
The tests came in two parts of enchanted and aetherically linked objects. The first being and enchanted page within a tome, complex in that the magics needed to be individually linked from the first page to each subsequent page, a process taking the three of them the better part of a day and s half and two raids of the component shop for extra supplies.
The second was a little more complex. By charging a written word with aether on the enchanted page, and then binding that word together with a quill, and -then- using the quill to write on the subsequent pages, the initial aetheric charge woven into the initial word on the cover page would be linked to every word written.
The next step was to then write a second word on the enchanted cover page, and aetherically charging that word and again, the quill.
All of this work lead towards the application of Appleâs theory, if people could be made to forget a memory or a concept via enchantmemt, then, theoretically, an object could be made to forget a linked object.
And, with a bit of experimentation it was just so. By using the quill to draw out the aether signature of the first word written on the enchanted pages, all the words written on the subsequent pages of the tome would show clearly, and additional notes or words would be added with the same signature.
But if the quill drew on the aetheric properties of the second word written on the enchanted page, the subsequent pages in the tome would only show the ink used with the same signature of the second word. Which was nothing at the moment. A blank canvas to write on a new topic.
In this, one journal could become multiple journals. By creating a word on the first page, and creating a unique aetheric signature, one could use the quill to take that signature and write, only able to see ink sharing in that same signature
Completing the project took the better part of a week, but in the end she had what she deemed to be the perfect present she could think of for Zoissette. A modular journal for a multitude of topics in one bound book.
She was tempted to just leave the gift at her doorway, but the idea nagged at her. She wanted to give it to her personally, see her reaction. She wanted her to know how grateful she was, and how fond she was of her, just⊠maybe bot exactly -how- find she was.
And so, that is how she found herself in a lovely little green dress, nervously holding a wrapped package, waiting for its recipient to come down the main stairwell for the company holiday dinner.
Thankfully her nerves melted away as she excitedly explained the magically theory on her new invention.
Apple liked Zoissette⊠maybe not so unfortunately.

Sex against a wall with Tony for Smutty Saturday if youâre taking requests please!
Ohhhhh ok this may or may not be based on a dream i had a while ago. 18+ content ahead! Uh, semi-public sex as well
Galas and parties were Tonys bread and butter. While he did put on a facade most of the time, talking to investors, flirting with reporters, and such, with you, he was able to be himself
You tried your best to pull him away from people more interested in his last name than himself to dance or drink or talk
And it worked! Most of the time.
Once, you weren't able to pull him away. Too much oress around the last Avengers situation plus Stark Industries was unveiling something new that night, so obviously he had to face some suits
And be away from you
Tony was forced to watch you from across the room
And he fucking hated it
You were in a beautiful green ensemble, to celebrate a partnership with some company with a green logo, and it showcased your curves so beautifully
And showed just enough skin to tease him. Tonys sure you didnt mean for that to happen, but god, he couldnt help himself
You were so sexy and beautiful, and he knew you had to cover up the hickies from last night, but that just made him want to mark you up even more. You wouldnt have time to hide anything if he took you now
So, after hours of feeling Tonys gaze on you, you pulled him away. You failed the first time, but the second, you managed to convince some reporters that you absolutely needed his help with something urgent
He did have to deliver a big speech. Was he nervous? Did a reporter say something triggering? What could make Tony Stark so desperate for your presence?
"Hey, is everything-"
He pulled you close and whispered in your ear, "Hallway, now."
His voice was so deep and commanding. You had no choice but to obey. And even if you did have a choice, he chose for you, grabbing your hand and leading you through the crowd.
He didnt even say anything to the people he passed by. You had to apologize to guests and say hpw focused he was on yhe new project and blah blah blah
And finally you were out of the crowd, in a secluded hallway, and his hands were on your waist and his lips were on yours and he mumbled something to Friday as he kissed you and pinned you to the wall.
"Tony?" It nearly came out as a moan as he started to kiss down your neck. And his hands were already moving under your dress, up your legs...
"Fucking cockblocks," he muttered as he hiked your dress above your waist. One of tonys hands was under your thigh, lifted you up, while the other wasted no time pulling your underwear to the side and rubbing your clit. "And you, teasing me like that."
You didnt mean to tease him! It was just another gala. But you wouldnt dare admit it. Not when he had you like that, moaning and whining. You just nodded and pawed at his chest. Why couldnt you touch his bare skin?
Why did suits have to hide his body from you?
"And youre already soaked." He laughed and kissed you long and hard. "Always ready to be fucked huh?"
He wasnt wrong. "For you," you managed to say.
Tony smiled and pushed his pants down low enough to release his cock. With one thrust, he was inside you, and before you could moan, satisfied, he was thrusting into you
You were bobbing up and down on his cock, against the wall, during a fucking gala, and he had a speech in a few minutes.
You kissed him whenever you could, but the man was more focused on fucking you properly. Through your haze of pleasure and friction and the sounds of groans and moans, you managed to loosen his tie and unbutton a few buttons on his shirt, revealing his unmarked neck and the very top of his chest. Finally, with your hands agaibst his bare skin, you kissed his neck and sucked as many hickeys as you could
And when Tony let out a high-pitched moan, you tightened around his cock, and he managed to keep in a scream. "Fuck me," he laughed, still thrusting into you.
Then, Fridays voice, "Sir, Ms. Potts-"
"Im busy here, Fri."
You let out a whine, and Tony didn't stop, even if Friday was talking to him.
"Ms. Potts insists-"
"I'm busy," he stated, concentrating on fucking you right into the wall.
"You have to be onstage, sir."
"Onstage, you say?" He smiled at you. "Guess we gotta speed this up, huh, honey?" He reached down to rub your clit, and you didnt know you could moan that high.
"Sir, I must-"
Your whine interrupted Friday, because Tony was fucking you, rubbing your clit, all while talking as if he wasnt bringing you pleasure
"Thats my girl," he said. "Im gonna fill you ip so nice before I get onstage."
You nodded.
"Ms. Potts is looking for you, sir."
"Let her find me."
And just like that, you came, squeezing tightly around him, and Tony muffled his incoherent sounds by pursing his lips and pounding the wall with his fist. "Fuck." He came inside of you, pumping everythig he had into you.
For a few seconds, nothing happened. You were just in a blissful state in your mans arms as the two of you panted and tried to come back to reality.
It was Friday who snalled the two of you out of it.
"Your speech, sir."
Tony smiled. "Speech, right." He kissed you again as he pulled out, the two of you whining at the loss.
Quickly, he fixed his pants, ran a hand through his hair and cleared his throat. "Friday, when she's back, remind her to go to the bathroom."
"Of course."
He smiled and kissed your cheek. "Wish me luck."
And you were left there, with a stupid smile on your face, and a sweet reminder from Friday to wash up.
As you left the bathroom, you could see Tony onstage, charming the audience. And when he saw you, he winked.

đ I Wish I Didn't Care All The Time đ
F.W.B AU! Klarker
Clark Barker x Jack Kline
.... ..... ..... ..... ..
Many people have many opinions on F.W.B , but one opinion that is mainly seen and heard is that at the end it tends to blow up at your face .
Jack wasn't one to get involve into some shit that he will regret . On the other hand , his best friend Clark has done some shit that have gotten both of them in trouble .
Keep in mind half the time Jack wouldn't be involved and he somehow get caught red handed . He blames it all on Clark , well that's his excuse cause he doesn't want to get the wrath of his parents .
Sure he can ignore the raven man and hang with his other friends and live a simple , relaxing life . The problem is that Jack doesn't quite have other friends . He just has his older sister Claire . And her friends only talk to him out of pity .
He met Clark in high school when the guy tried to convince him to do the class project all by himself . From then on they sorta clicked , they were inseparable. Many people thought they were dating .
He wasn't blind , his friend was attractive and by all the times Clark had told him he was hot . He could see why people thought that they were a couple , the latter was quite touchy .
And it wasn't like it never crossed his mind , but the thing was Clark is basically fuck boy . He doesn't do relationships , the only thing he can commit is to drugs, food , and music .
On the other hand he didn't have a problem with commitment issues , but all his relationships just never seem to work out . The problem mainly being Clark , that's what his exes would tell him .
" Fuck them , they dont know what their missing out , And being honest she was annoying . "Â
That was always his response , pointing out what he didn't like about the person .
" you don't like no one " it was like a relative
thing . He wasn't lying when he mentioned about his failed attempt at love .
" I like you , don't I " Rolling his eyes , as the raven haired holds him close . All he can do is take in the somehow soothing smell of cigarettes and cologne .
.....
Being in college is frustrating , mainly being filled overload with homework , essays , projects , and you can't forget anxiety . Jack was just overwhelmed , he just wanted to go home to his dad's and listen to them bicker . Have a fight with Claire about anything , help his father with his garden and watch the bees .
He wants to spend time with his uncle Sam maybe playing football , even he's terribly bad at it . Laugh with his aunt Eileen, when Sam and Dean get competitive over who's actually winning . he just wants to be with his family .
Thank God break is coming soon , if not he would've exploded . When he mentions it to Clark, he just say he's probably frustrated because he hasn't gotten any action . He usually just throws his pillow at him .
..... ...... .....
It wasn't the first time he seen his friend drunk , it was after all was a constant thing he would do . Watching as his friend struggle to take of his jacket and stumbling to go lay down , it wasn't no surprise when he had fell down . He also couldn't help but laugh along with Clark.
" seems like you had a fun night , here let me help you " Helping him stand up , he starts to remove his jacket .
" Fuck yeah I did , you should've have gone . You could've released some of your pent up frustration . "Â Clark spoke as he looked at the blonde .
" can you not , just be glad you did . God you reek of ciggaretes . I don't know when your gonna learn when to stop smoking .
Hold on I'm gonna help you change , please try not to fall . "
removing the other boy shirt , he walks to the drawer taking out what he needs . returning to the now slighty naked drunk .
" I missed you "
" i missed you too . you should lay down. " turning around to lay down , he was stopped .
" can you lay with me tonight . please . "
Clark asked still holding on to his wrist . as they both layed down , he didn't know why his heart was beating so fast . Maybe it was the way his friend was looking at him or how all he can think of how was to kiss him . But there was that warning bell
going off his mind warning him to not cross the line . but by the time he was gonna acknowledge it , Clark had started kissing him .
He wasn't the one to be blamed , if you were being kissed by the same person who was incredibly a good kisser you would also ignore all the warning signs .
His lips tasted like beer and cigarettes. Clothes were thrown across the room . Darker hands roamed gently across soft pale skin , Holding him down firmly . As he racked his nails down the ravens back from the pleasure he was receiving. And he should've known everything wouldn't be the same after that night .
.... .... ....
The morning after , Jack got his ass up from the bed and quickly left as he could . Scared he had to face him . cursing himself for being so weak , he shouldve have stopped . He knew he should go back to his dorm and got talk to Clark, but it didn't mean he couldn't avoid it for a few more hours .
walking in the dorm , he expected to see the latter in the room but he was nowhere to be seen . So he sat down and waited . minutes after minutes then turned to hours . Might as well get started with his paper that was due this week .
It was dark when he heard the door open . looking up from his computer , watching as Clark walk in . Obviously ignoring him , he went straight to bathroom . They didn't spoke at all , just Jack watching him change . but he didn't once look at him .
Right he was about to step out , he just quickly spoke and left .
" I'm going out , don't wait up "
The silence didn't quite helped him feel better .It made him feel like shit , it just made it worse when he started to cry .
.... .... ....
All he can see was darkness , he kept glancing at the clock . The time was just there mocking him as if it knew he was waiting for someone that might not come . checking again it was still 2 : 00 AM like it was two seconds ago .So he just turned on the lights .
Coming to the conclusion that the raven haired was probably in someone else's bed . He gets out of bed to turn off the lights , the door opens .
" your awake , I thought you were asleep already ."Â a surprised look coming across his face .
" I was going to , I was just ......... " silence overtook the conversation . they just standed for a good minute until Clark spoke but didn't even look at his direction .
" alright . night . "
Shame crept up in his skin , he knew he should've kept his mouth shut . but the words just tumbled out his mouth .
" you had fun ? I mean by looks of it . "
finishing getting undress , he responds by shrugging . not being able to stand the cold shoulder , he tries again but unfortunately that's when his tears started to come in .
" Jack , are you crying ? "
startled by the voice , he looks up. He didn't even notice when his friend came closer. He latches on to the older boy ,not wanting the other to leave him . feeling Clark hold him tight and giving him a kiss on his temple made him calm down .
Later that night they talked and both agreed it was an amazing beautiful mistake but both knew it would affect their friendship . So they agreed to move on , keep going with their life's.Â
Unfortunately , Clark haven't been able to sleep with anyone else after night. It seemed nobody was good enough for him . It just seemed pointless , and he doesn't want to remember when he try to have sex but he couldn't get it up .
So it lead him to masturbating and smoking . But he couldn't do it because he didn't have time to do so . And it seemed both him and Jack were playing a game that they didn't even know the rules to .
All broke loose when he saw a guy try to give Jack his number in front of him . HE was just boiling and it was like the blonde knew what it was doing to him . He started flirting back with that dumbass .
When they both got back to the dorm , they locked the door .
The next day they both went to find the guy and jack had to explain to the guy he wasnt interested , not because what had happen in that same day .
And if Clark had a smug smirk all day nobody mentioned it
.... ....
They agreed on a Friend with benefits agreement . There were rules that had to be followed so at the end their friendship wouldnt get ruined .
* 1 . Don't tell anyone
* 2 . once feelings start to form they had to call it quits
* 3 . They're aren't allowed to sleep with anyone elseÂ
( Jack agreed with that one right away , he wasn't trying to catch a disease or something . well that's what he kept telling himself .)
* 4 . They can stop whenever the other doesn't want to continue .
* 5 . Always ask consent !
Jack was really proud he came up with that , even if Clark retorted
" I think when your all over me it should be more clear that you want me to F- "
covering his mouth he ends the conversation to point out their first time .
" you were the one that had asked me the first time .:
And well they couldn't quite finish the list , because one kiss lead to another and well how can you blame Clark when the blonde was smiling at him like that .
When both come to the conclusion that had fallen way before they had come to the point they were . The blonde tries to show the other , how maybe they didn't have to be just friends . While the other pretends , it all just distraction like playing a board game .
Even if it broke Clark's heart having to remind himself , it was just that and nothing more .
...... ..... .....
there should be more klarker fic

this was written several weeks ago in response to asks i was receiving i am posting it now it is very long the longest i have ever made and it is not very well edited but here it is in this final essay i talk about how shitty rae is about black people in her writing as well as just me talking about how her writing sucks in general lets begin
hello everyoneÂ
as you may know i have received a lot of anons in the last week or so about issues of racism in the beetlejuice community both just generally speaking and also within specific spacesÂ
i was very frustrated to not be getting the answers i wanted because i typically do not talk about what i do not see but in an effort to be better about discourse i went looking through discourse from before my time in the fandom and i also received some receipts and information from my followers and from some friends
keep in mind that the voices and thoughts of bipoc are not only incredibly important at all times but in this circumstance it is important that if a bipoc has something to add you listen and learn and be better
i admit that when this happened i wasnt aware of the extent of what occurred and im angry at myself for not doing more at that time and i want to work harder to make sure something like this doesnt go unnoticed again
im a hesitant to talk about months old discourse because i have been criticized for bringing up quote old new unquote but this is very important and i am willing to face whatever comes from to me
lets talk about this
content from our local racist idiot that may be months old but its important
putting my thoughts under a cut to spare the dash but before i begin obviously this is awful
lets fucking unpack this folks
right out the gate op states that she supports artistic freedom but then within a couple words she goes against that statement
being entirely canon compliant isnt artistic freedom and even so if this person has so much respect for canon they wouldnt be out here erasing lydias obvious disgust for beetlejuice in the movie or ignoring lydias age for the sake of shipping that shit isnt canon eitherÂ
also we love the quick jab at the musical there hilarious we love it dont we because god forbid a licensed and successful branch on a media have any standing in this conversation but whatever
now lets scroll down and talk about the term racebending
the term racebending was coined around 2009 in response to the avatar the last airbender movie a film in which the east asian races of the characters were erased by casting white actors in the three leading roles of aang sokka and kataraÂ
whenever the term racebending is used in a negative light it is almost always a case of whitewashing like casting scarlett johansen in ghost in the shell or the casting of white actors of the prince of persia sands of time instead of iranian ones
this kind of racebending erases minorities from beeing seen in media and is wrong
all that being said however racebending has also been noted to have very positive after effects like the 1997 adaptation of cinderella or casting samuel jackson as nick fury in the marvel movies nick fury was originally a white guy can you even imagine
i read this piece from an academic that said quote writers can change the race and cultural specificity of central characters or pull a secondary character of color from the margins transforming them into the central protagonist unquote
racebending like the kind that rae is so heated about is the kind of creative freedom that leads to more representation of bipoc in media which will never be a bad thing ever no matter how pissy you get about it
designing a version of a character as a poc isnt serving to make them necessarily better it serves to give new perspective and perhaps the opportunity to connect even more deeply with a character it doesnt marginalize or erase white people it can uplift poc and if you think uplifting poc is wrong because it tears down white people or whatever youre a fucking moron and you need to get out of your podunk white folk town and see the real world
the numbers of times a bipoc particularly a bipoc that is also lgbt+ has been represented in media are dwarfed by what i as a white dude have seen myself represented in media is and that isnt okay that isnt equality and its something that should change not only in mainstream media but in fandom spaces as well
lets move down a bit further to the part about bullying straight people which is hilarious and lets also talk about the term fetishistic as well lets start with that
this person literally writes explicit pornography of a minor and an adult are we really going to let someone like that dictate what is and what isnt fetishistic
similarly to doing a positive racebend situation people may project lgbt+ headcanons on a character because its part of who they are and it helps them feel closer to the character and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that
depicting lgbt+ subject matter on existing characters isnt an inherently fetishistic action generally things only really become fetishistic when the media is being crafted and hyped by people who are outside of lgbt+ community for example how young teens used to flip a tit about yaoi or how chasers fetishize trans people
but drawing a character with top surgery scars or headcanoning them as trans is harmless and its just another way to interpret a character literally anone could be trans unless if their character bio says theyre cis and most of them dont go that deep so it really is open to interpretation and on the whole most creators encourage this sort of exploration because it is a good thing to get healthy representation out in the world
as for it being used to bully straights thats just funny i dont have anything else on that like if youre straight and you feel threatened and bullied because of someone headcanoning someone as anything that isnt cishet youre a fucking idiot and a weak baby idiot at that like the real world must fucking suck for you because lgbt+ people are everywhere and statistically a big chunk of your favorite characters arent cishet sorry be mad about it
lets roll down a bit further about the big meat of the issue which was when several artists were drawing interpretations of lydia as a black girl which i loved but clearly this person didnt love it because they have a very narrow and very racist and problematic view of what it means to be a black person
and before i move forward i must reiderate that i am a white person and you should listen to the thoughts of poc people like @fright-of-their-livesâ or @gender-chaotic it is not my place to explain what the black experience is like and it certainly isnt this persons either
implying that the story of a black person isnt worth telling unless if the character faces struggles like racism and prejudice is downright moronicÂ
why use the word kissable to describe a black persons lips now thats what i call fetishistic and its to another extreme if youre talking about a black version of lydia on top of that
the author of this post says herself that shes white so clearly shes the person whos an authority on the black experience and what it means to be a black person right am i reading that right or am i having a fucking conniption
how about allowing black characters to exist without having to struggle why cant a black version of lydia just be a goth teenager with a ghost problem who likes photography and is also black like she doesnt have to move to a hick town and get abused by racist folks she doesnt have to go through any more shit than she already goes through and if you honestly think thats the only way to tell a black persons story you need to get your brain cleaned
you know nothing about the complexities about being a black person and i dont either but you know wh odo black people who are doing black versions of canon characters they fucking knowÂ
lets squiggle down just a bit furtherÂ
so the writer has issues with giving characters traits like a broad nose or larger lips if theyre a woman but if theyre a man suddenly its totally okay to go all ryan murphy ahs coven papa legba appropriation when approaching character design like are you fucking stupid do you hear yourself is that really how you see black men like what the fuck is wrong with you
none of the shit youre spewing takes bravery it takes ignorance and supreme levels of stupidity
do you really think you with your fic where a black lgbt+ woman is tortured and abused where you use the n word with a hard r to refer to her like that shits not okay its fucking depraved and yeah we know you love being shitty but like christ on a bike thats so muchÂ
can we also talk about this
what the fuck is this fetishistic bull roar garbage calling this black character beyonce dressing her up in quote fuck me heels unquote are you are you seriously gonna write this and say its a shining example of how to write a black character youre basically saying ope here she is shes a sex icon haha im so progressive and i clealry understand the black experience hahahaha fuck you oh my god
on top of that theres a point where this character is only referred to as curly hair or the fact that the n word is used in the fic with the hard r like thats hands down not okay for you to use especially not in a manner like this jesus christ
oop heres a little more a sampling for you of the hell i am enduring in reading this drivel
oh boy lets put a leash on the angry black woman character lets put her in a leash and have the man imply hes a master like are you kidding me are you for real and what the fuck is with calling her shit like j lo and beyonce do you actually think thats clever at all are you just thinking of any poc that comes into your head for thisÂ
also lydia fucking tells this girl that she shouldnt have lost her temper like she got fucking leashed im so tired why is this writing so problematic and also so bad
hold up before i lose my head lets look at some of her own comments on the matter of this character and what happens to her
hi hello youre just casually tossing the word lynch out there in the wide open world as if thats not a problem that is still real like are you fucking unhinged there have been multiple cases of this exact thing happening in our firepit of a country in the last five months alone like how can you still have shit like this up for people to read how can you be proud of work like this in this climate
and also what the fuck is that last bitÂ
what the actual fuck
i dont speak for black people as a white person but you do!? im sorry i had to get my punctuation out for that because wow thats fucking asinine just because one black person read your fic and didnt find the torture and abuse of your one black character abhorrant doesnt mean that the vast majority of people not only in the fandom but in the human population with decency are going to think its okay because its notÂ
i started this post hoping to be level headed and professional but jesus fucking christ this woman is something else white nationalism is alive and well folks and its name is rae
if you defend this woman you defend some truly abhorrant raecism
editors notesÂ
in order to get some perspective on these issues more fully some of the writing by the author was examined and on the whole it was pretty unreadable but i want to just call back to the very beginning of this essay where the person in question talked about holding canon in high regard but then in their writing they just go around giving people magic and shit and ignoring the end of the movie entirely like are you canon compliant or nahÂ
the writing doesnt even read like beetlejuice fanfic it reads as self indulgent fiction you could easily change the names and its just a bad fanfic from 2007
also can we talk about writing the lesbian character as an angry man hater like its 2020 dude and als olets touch on that girl on girl pandering while beetlejuice is just there like here we go fetishizing again wee
i cant find a way to work this into this already massive post but
im going to throw up
okay so thats a lot we have covered a lot today and im sure my ask box will regret it but this definitely should have been more picked apart when it happened
please feel free to add more to this i would love more perspectives than just my own.

One Last Chance: Mina x Reader
Request: Hi! your stories are awesome! Is it okay I can request Mina x female reader college life, where Mina is the most popular rich girl, and her friends place a bet that Mina has to go out with you and make you fell in love with her but turns out the time you guys were together Mina eventually fells in love and tries to call off the bet, and you heard the whole thing, heartbroken you avoided her and Mina did anything that she could to bring you back, fluffy ending (: pleas and thank you!
Hi my loves. This is the long Mina scenario I was asking about earlier. This is really REALLY long but you all promised you wouldnât mind so here it is đ
You transferred to Sungkyunkwan University at the beginning of this semester. Originally you attended MIT for Software Engineering, hacking is your specialty. When a professor recommended you for a study abroad, you couldnât pass it up. You knew Korean well due to growing up in a heavily Korean influenced neighborhood as a child.
Coming to Korea wasnât that bad because you were able to meet a few other people over social media before you arrived. You met your roommate months before you flew in so you already had one best friend.
Upon your arrival you already drew up quite a bit of attention. Somehow people found out you were from MIT which they couldnât believe. Your roommate made sure to make you aware of who to avoid and who was friendly. Pretty much everyone was nice but she told you to watch for one group of girls.
Which is why when you were approached by none other than Mina Myoui aka the richest bitch in the whole school you were beyond confused. The raven haired girl asked âHey. Youâre Y/N right?â You had never seen Mina up close, she was ten times more beautiful than you thought.
âWait do you speak Korean? Iâm sorry. Are you Y/N?â She switched to English when you didnât respond right away. You quickly tried to answer without sounding stupid âI-Uh um yes I am Y/N and I speak Korean yeah sorry I...I uh. Iâm sorry...yeah.â You mentally face palmed yourself for not being able to say one simple sentence to her.
She sat down and said âyouâre new and from what I know your only friend is Kahei. So meet me at the cafe down the street at 6, Iâll be waiting.â Before you could respond she got up and walked back to her group of friends who seemed to be laughing. You noticed two of the girls from her group. Im Nayeon was in one of your engineering classes while Minatozaki Sana was in a psych class you took to fill an empty slot.
When you got back to your dorm Kahei was on her bed reading a book. She asked âwhereâd you go?â You responded âthe quad to start a project. But something really weird happened.â Kahei sat up on her bed and patted the spot next to her, âcome on talk to me I wanna know.â
âThat really rich and pretty girl....Mila? Sheâs friends with Im Nayeon and Minatozaki Sana...she came up to me and told me to meet her at the cafe down the street at 6.â Kaheiâs eyes widened and she loudly said âMINA MYOUI ASKED YOU ON A DATE?â You shrugged then nodded. Kahei made you resite every thing that happened leading up to her asking you out for coffee. In the end she said âhmmmm...I donât trust it. It sounds fake.â You responded âI do admit itâs a little suspicious that the most rich and popular girl in school asked me, the poor foreigner to a date...â
Kahei told you âwell even if it is fake youâre gonna go to find out.â You looked at your sweatpants and t shirt you were currently wearing. You hair was in a messy bun and your thick glasses sat lopsided on your face. âDo rich people like girls who look like me?â You asked uncertainly. Kahei responded âonly one way to find out!â
When you went to the cafe Kahei decided to tag along but sit at a different table with her girlfriend Haseul.
Mina arrived shortly after you, âoh i honestly didnât think youâd show up.â She was surprised to see you actually came. You looked at you hands in your lap âI mean I think itâs rude to blow someone off...â Mina sat down across from you âyou look really pretty.â You could tell that it was a genuine complement by the way she smiled softly when she said it. I guess rich people do like girls like me you thought to yourself.
For the next hour she asked you ïżŒabout everything there was she should know about you. Kahei told you to make sure not to disclose every detail about yourself because she still didnât trust Mina. However by the end of the night you were convinced she was genuine.
âą
âą
âą
Weeks passed and you continued to meet up with Mina, you knew Kahei and Haseul warned you about catching feelings too quickly but you couldnât help it. Mina seemed so sweet and genuine despite her rich bitch demeanor.
You sat in the library working on a project with your classmate Yuqi. âI know we just met like this week but I donât trust her either, Iâm with Kahei on this one.â You donât know why you decided to spill all of your business to Yuqi but something about her seemed trustworthy. You rolled your eyes âYou all are delusional.â
Deep down you believed Kahei and Haseul and now Yuqi but you didnât want to admit it. Mostly because you caught feelings for Mina. Badly. Yuqi didnât pull her eyes away from her laptop âI-Iâm just saying something here isnât adding up. This isnât right.â
âIâm just gonna- give me a minute.â Yuqi furiously typed away on her laptop, occasionally smiling and laughing to herself. After about two minutes passed she flipped her screen around in front of you was a KakaoTalk page. Mina Myouiâs to be specific.
âYuqi! WHAT DID YOU DO?!â You whisper yelled to the younger girl who sat with a smile on her face. She simply answered âI hacked into her account. See?â You responded âIâm not reading her messages. Thatâs an invasion of privacy.â Yuqi responded âOk well if you wonât I will, she has no relevance to me so it canât hurt the nonexistent relationship between us.â
She scrolled and scrolled her facial expressions changing from surprised to one you couldnât quite read. âY-Y/N....um...I donât know if you should read this yourself or not.â You felt a pit in your stomach form knowing whatever she had in front of her wasnt good news.
Yuqi slid her laptop to you and you read the messages shared between Mina and her friend group:
Sana: you have three days left in this bet Myoui
Chaeyoung: Sanaâs right, you need to figure out how to get Y/N to confess to you
Nayeon: yeah if you donât you can kiss that Maldives trip bye bye and we can say hello to that shopping spree :)
Mina: I dont want this anymore guys
Sana: are you chickening out?
Chaeyoung: shes chickening out
Mina: itâs not that
Nayeon: so what is it
Mina: nevermind
Jeongyeon: i might be in this friend group but this is wrong on every level
Tzuyu: Iâm with Jeongyeon unnie
Dahyun: Me too
Momo: what bet? who is Y/N? I WANT A SHOPPING SPREE!
Jihyo: No you dont
Momo: no i do not
Jihyo: but Iâm with Jeongyeon and the kids.
You couldnât believe what you were reading. There was no way in hell Mina could have done this to you. Absolutely no way. Wanting to find some sort of happy ending you scrolled to a different chat with only this Jeongyeon girl. These newer messages brought on a new wave of emotions.
Jeongyeon: why are you trying to call it off now. You were all excited about it and now you want nothing to do with it.
Mina: I donât know, It just feels wrong now
Jeongyeon: I know you Mina thereâs something else
Mina: Theres nothing else
Jeongyeon: dont you dare lie to me
Mina: fine.
Mina: i like her. A lot. And i want to be with her.
Jeongyeon: then make your move
Mina: but if she finds out it was started with a bet....
Jeongyeon: well then come clean and apologize and pray she stays around. But honestly if i was her i wouldnt give you a second chance
Mina: thats not very reassuring
Jeongyeon: iâm disappointed in you, thatâs the best youâre getting for now
Mina: ok, thank you unnie
Mina: iâm doing it tomorrow iâll tell you how it goes
Jeongyeon: mhm
You looked to see when that last message was sent and it read yesterdayâs date. So she was planning to confess or come clean today. Immediately you stood up and put your belongings in your bag before leaving Yuqi alone in the library.
You walked across campus to the dance studio where you found Mina dancing with another girl. âMyoui.â You pushed your glasses up to prevent them from sliding down. Mina turned and saw you âY/N hey I thought we were going to meet la-â
You cut her off âI love you Mina Myoui, with all my heart I do! Is that what yo want to hear? Can you go to the Maldives now? You won. Congratulations bitch.â Mina looked at the other girl who stood in the room, she looked really confused and got uncomfortable and sprinted out, almost falling on her own feet.
âWhat are you talking about? I won? Maldives?â Mina questioned you. You snapped back âI didnât stutter did I?â She replied âhow did you- Who told you?â You responded âItâs not who told me or how I found out. You placed a stupid bet on me and toyed with my heart as if you were interested and I fell for your bullshit. Stay the fuck away from me. And if I catch you even thinking about talking to Kahei...youâll wish you didnât.â You turned around and walked out not giving Mina a chance to talk.
âą
âą
âą
Weeks passed and the semester was coming to a close in 6 weeks. You hadnât heard a thing from Mina or any of her friends. Sana and Nayeon stayed away from you when they had class with you. Kahei, Haseul, and Yuqi introduced you to their friends instead to make up for the relationship you once had.
Out of all of the girls you met through Kahei and Yuqi, Jinsoul and Miyeon were closest with you. Miyeon walked into your room âHey. Weâre going to a party and youâre coming. All youâve done is moped around, worked on projects, or went to the boxing gym. Itâs been too long you need to go out.â You groaned âdonât you have work today?â Miyeon responded âok we meant you and Jinsoul but sheâs finishing an assignment so she sent me to tell you.â You rolled over on your face knowing there was no getting out of this. ïżŒ âUgh fine.â You giving into your friends wishes.
Miyeon left and outfit for you before leaving your dorm to head to work. You looked over your reflection in the mirror. Miyeon definitely tried something with this outfit because you never wore these types of clothes.
You were finishing up your hair when Jinsoul unlocked your door, ready to go. âWoah...You look so good!â She jumped up and down and clapped her hands excitedly. You quickly but in your shoes and grabbed your phone before she yanked you out of the door.
This house party was definitely run by someone rich because this house was really nice. You linked arms with Jinsoul and held her hand so you wouldnât lose her in the crowd of people. The two of you found your friend groups and stayed together with them for most of the night.
You noticed some of Minaâs friends were there as well but you didnât see Mina. Jinsoul danced against you as you held her close laughing at her antics. Throughout the night you noticed she was watching one girl in particular, Kim Jungeun. She was in your guysâ friend group but because thereâs a total of 19 girls in the group, the two of you werenât exactly close with everyone. You know she went by Kim Lip, only allowing a few people to call her Jungeun.
âOoo I see Lip is alone, nowâs your chance go go!â You pushed Jinsoul towards the girl. Your best friend responded âno what about you I see Minaâs friends here, what if she arrives?â You pushed her further âiâll be fine I can handle myself, just keep your phone on!â She nodded and let her hand slip out of yours, running towards Kim Lip.
You danced on a few girls and a few random dudes before getting tired of the environment. Knowing you couldnât leave Jinsoul, you decided to walk upstairs to see if there was anything to explore. You accidentally walked in on a couple before you realized you should knock on doors before opening them.
You found a door that was open so you walked in, ready to punch of someone came at you unexpectedly. The room was large, like really large, pictures hanging on the walls, stuffed animals lining whoeverâs bed it was.
However the most eye catching thing was the gigantic window that overlooked the city. You slid it open and saw there was enough room on the roof for you to safely sit. Taking in deep breaths of cool air you hugged your knees to your chest.
A knock on the shingles is what snapped you out of your trance. You expected Jinsoul but instead you saw Mina. The Japanese girl softly asked âDo you mind?â You responded coldly âno.â She smiled and walked out sitting next to you, âId hope not, you are sitting on my roof.â You asked âso this is your place? This isnât the same one I visited those times though.â Mina responded ârich people unnecessarily buy multiple houses.â An awkward silence fell over the two of you.
She looked at you but you stared straight ahead waiting for her to talk. Eventually you grew impatient, âIâm pretty sure you didnât come out here to look at me, so whatever you have to say just go ahead.â She sighed then said âIâm sorry. I truly am. My friends were being stupid one day and betted me to go ask you out. Originally my intentions werenât true and I only wanted to win. But after getting to know you...I kind of fell for you and I didnât know what to do. Iâm sorry.â
You could tell she was being genuine by the tone in her voice. You hesitated then said âI loved you Mina.â She quickly responded âI love you too.â You were quick to ruin the moment âI said loveD. Past tense. I-I donât know if i can trust you anymore.
Mina reached for your hand and you allowed her to hold it. âPlease Y/N. Give me one last chance and if I mess it up youâll never have to even think about me. Iâll make sure my friends donât think about doing anything. Please just one more chance. Please.â Something about seeing her like this made your heart melt and butterflies erupted in your stomach.
You gave in âFine. One last chance. Thatâs it.â She smiled and finally you looked at her. Her adorable gummy smile that you once loved so much was back. She placed a hand behind your neck, with her eyes she asked you for permission. You nodded and she kissed you softly. In that moment you remembered every reason why you loved Mina before.

THE GREAT ND REWATCH OF 2021 / SEPTEMBER 28-29, 2019 // the bonny scot
posting this a day later than normal because this is one of the rare episodes that shows a passage of time from one day to the next yayy love that for them
-wonder what filming these beginning sexy scenes is like for them in real life
-sooooo can lucy see nancys sexy dream? is she judging? does this mean she likes nancy with owen or nick more? or is she trying to tell nancy that her sex dreams are irrelevant to the mystery at hand and she needs to focus?
-seeing people in the âšprison chairâš: gomber, carson, karen (voting for josh s3 just saying)
-completely ignores carson's question about herself typical nance
-"or maybe i did stumble across a knife" its like hes trying to make the case against him look plausible while attempting to maintain innocence. this is a slippery slope for carson to try and encourage her to keep her pacified + hide the truth while also trying to keep her from getting involved bc hudsons
-"genetics gets you in the door" aaaaand then she walks in to everetts office to meet him and crashes their family dinner
-ok who tf is dawn and why is she in charge here
-this guidance counselor of nicks is my favorite person
-"i admire your allergy to pleasantries" bess and nancy both have reveals to big families but nancy does not have the graceful, accepting reveal to her rich family like bess does at this lunch. nancys reveal is messy, cold, bloodstained and sticky-fingered, not nice in any way whatsoever. and this little chat with everett (bit of a parallel to lucy's) just highlights how nancy is always bad at bargaining with her grandparents*- always trying to fight on their level but giving up her equal hand bc she doesnt know how to hide it when they bring up something she doesnt know. like confronting celia at the masque: she was so confident with her theory and what she knew, but then we got a "what does that mean?" like. the instant you say that, you lose. and she walked right into the "yes i do have someone, hes in jail" đ€ŠđŒââïž even in the car with ryan at the end of s1, he literally just fucking leaves her there. like đ€·đŒââïž what did u think was gonna happen sis?? for all she can predict how past things lead to present circumstances shes fucking awful at seeing the direct future *(grandparents except for patrice bc her dementia makes her inaccessable)
-lmaooooo this awko ass portrait...i get the empty space is for nance but who on earth thought this was a good pic??
-LISBETH đ„șđ
-"will u help the claw for me?" george struggles financially to keep her livelihood while nancy is somehow shown as being taken care of even when her parent is incarcerated; both nancy and george live in single parent homes now with mention of both medical debt and george being breadwinner yet nancy has no struggles while george does. (i wonder if ryan had been able to help george here how the story would have changed)
-"when it comes to following people around without their knowledge or consent i am somewhat of a repeat offender" đđđ
-"he wasnt endgame after all" BESS lmaoooo
-"...okay." lmaoooo i fuckin love owen
-i was hoping the girls' faces would be more shocked like with a glance to owen but they just....werent
-"we're the good guys" <---- this statement is soooo interesting in terms of how they structure the show and how the characters see themselves (its an interesting contrast with the more definitive good vs evil with things that are both clearly good and clearly evil but theres also a lot of moral grey area here, the show is kinda swamped in it. are nancy and crew the good guys? are they the bad guys in someone else's story? concerns.)
-"i'd call it more than just stuff" like why did u concede that??? and then the shit about oof that didnt sound like a compliment lmaoooooo why does she suck at arguing?? she and owen wouldnt work long term bc theyre so similar (as mentioned later on)
-i LOVE george slowly falling in love with nick here- hence how upset she gets when nick bails on her for nancy later (which is totally justified!!!)
-i am LIVING for the little nod this driver guy gives bess when she turns back around all nervous đ
-"i do like buying things" i would so say that too tbh
-"you'd have plenty to talk about" LMFAOOOOOOO SHE KNOWS "marvins dont marry drivers" so diana is totally fine with the gay its just the poor she has a problem with đđfuckin love that
-love how nancy just casually ruins everything for nick/george lmaooo
-"i have seen you at your best, nancy, and there is nothing like it." đ„Žđł i love this still-in-love look nancy gives him thats so strong he had to change the subject
-so is haunting time 11 pm? from that clock of bashiir's?
-how do NO neighbors notice this fucking water and shit
-these are TOTALLY AWFUL fake screams from the bonny scot crew đ
-"i know well enough not to get involved when he's in play" both carson and ryan avoid engaging with everett even though nancy is willing to do so armed with less info and more balls/ but "could i trust him" and ryan says yes lmaooooo NO honey + that makes ryan 0/2 for helping the girls when they ask this ep
-"find a project of your own" and he does, with his youth center đđ»đ what s2 foreshadowing!
-"god i wish i still drank" đđđ
-"she is darling." đđđ»
-okay wtf is mirror bay??
-i really wonder about the extent of celia x sebastians relationship here. did she truly care about him or was it just secret and exciting sex? also would love more hints of diana vs celia moments like these. celia doesnt even look upset. i mean shes had time to deal but like wtf. and who exactly is sebastian to diana? not her husband? like damn what if he was. somehow i doubt she'd talk about him diddling celia if diana was disrespected also
-i wonder if celia being so invested in dna testing nancy was bc everrett dna tested ryan to make sure he was his bc of sebastian / other men (which would be totally valid on his part!! but wouldnt it be funny as fuck if ryan wasnt his đ)
-what a neat hiding place in this frame lmaooo who put that in for them tho? like how do u go about ordering that
-"you certainly are your fathers daughter" this quote is doubly ironic and foreshadowy bc theyre referencing carson here as being a useful hudson attaché but nancy is playing everett just like ryan played celia about putting his house up (but TRIPLY ironic bc carson pulls off the long con of hiding nancy from the hudsons right under their noses this whole time!) the one time nancy is successful against them
-that bess/lisbeth look while lisbeth does something badass (+diana reassessing now that lisbeth has been revealed to be useful)
-"almost as fun as a real fight" why do i believe him? lmaoooo a bit weird that he would enjoy a fight w a partner, but i also think this is an acknowledgement of nancy being an "opponent" who exists at his level. but i also love the "let me take you out" as a direct mirror of her relationship with nick, where she avoids the public acknowledgment/"going out" but prefers the more subtle/hidden arrangements of staying in. but as shown with later eps, owen is way more capable of meeting nancy where shes at, which is so important to her + the only way of getting close to nancy. (the only foil is ace who somehow is able to do both)
-"not always about a guy" <---- this could have been such a powerful statement if the show had thought having nancy end up alone/choose herself instead of pitting her between love interests (nick, owen, gil, even potentially ace, in only 2 seasons) was a more worthy stance to take ; as an aro/ace person i cant tell you how much i would kill to see just one female protag choose herself over a man. and its more realistic to end up alone than have a happy ending anyway, for all that these shows try to be as "real" and gritty grimdark as possible
-"is that what you want?" this is an interesting question to his mother- like maybe he senses her unhappiness? combined with his issues with his father- still trying to look out for his mom? either way it's sweet. (it could also potentially work as foreshadowing of something happening to her, but i think that was played with but then diverted when it was revealed who really killed her) "i think its time i steer this ship" still kind of patriarchal tho. i get that its him coming into his own as a dad technically but still. i also like how he calls her "mother" and not mom
-love that old white people thumbs up at george asking about his clams đđ»
-okay fuck dawn tho lmfaoooo
-"stressful dinner huh?" đ i fucking love lisbeth so much why didnt they bring her back (wouldnt it be Fucking Hilarious if they brought lisbeth back to bounce bess on her expired visa since the marvins kicked her out and didnt fix it lmaoooooo)
-BESS IS A TOP lmaooooooo i fuckin knew it
-nick says "you can pay me back" wonder if thats gonna come back in s3 considering their "marital problems" (also, those bonds are sosus lmfaoooo if any single person cashing those was looked at sideways they'd confess in 2 seconds that some random guy is handing out bearer bonds they dont even make anymore with absolutely zero proof as to how he got them)
-"you wanna finish what you started?" đ (dont mind if i do)
-"i need my dad back" parallels s2 when she asks him to come home
-parent politics: "you are taking your life in your hands / no, i'm putting it in yours" vs "i know well enough not to get involved when hes in play" both carson and ryan try to dissuade nancy from pursuing her pulling this con on everett but go about it different ways: carson is wildly concerned with nancys physical wellbeing but ryan appears to be leaning more towards weighing the odds for her/ like a "you cant win so cut your losses/dont try" scenario which interestingly might have more weight with nancy; its easy for her to brush aside carson's worrying like second nature but nancy has been established to be a determined winner, and ryan speaks to her here like shes a beginners luck prodigy at a blackjack table by encouraging her to keep her record clean by not dealing in this next round. of course she herself admits shes incapable of not dealing in ie "you know me better than that" but i have lots more thoughts on how effective ryans approaches to nancy can be sometimes (saving for the reveal ep đđ»)
-wonder what all carson knows about the hudsons? + that look on his face when he hangs up... wonder if he was just lying to her about knowing anything or just ashamed at having to admit bad things hes done for them
-love nick & bashiir waiting together đđ»đ+ nicks very strong and pointed "good night" as a means of ending his convo w nancy on his terms (gotta reinforce those boundaries man!)
and lastly
-celia + that gossip girl moment when she just throws the whole phone away đ(wonder if she was just talking to "gus" or whoever that guy was. keep forgetting the bobbseys' dad is in prison too, wonder if he'll feature in s3)

The Songs in Our Life: Itâs Not a Date
Pairing: Tom Holland x Reader
Summary: Y/N & Tom learn more about each other on their night out together...but remember itâs not a date.
Inspired by: I Wanna Know You - Hannah Montana & David Archuleta
Album Description | Track 1 | Track 2 |
Waiting. Itâs the action of staying where you are to delaying something until a certain time has come or something happens.Â
For instance, Y/N and Tom were due for a date at 5:40pm, and the wait was almost unbearable for them. Not that it was ever an official date....but the idea of seeing each other again the very same day brought a feeling of excitement. Something that neither had felt in a very long time. Seconds, minutes, and the remaining hours passed. Y/N had clocked out of work, shoved her laptop in her bag, and made her way down to lobby to meet Tom. As she approached the area, her steps slowed and ultimately stopping in her tracks. Seeing Tom, casually waiting brought a new found feeling. She smiled at him, already thinking about the possibilities of the ifâs andâs & wants in her future, but immediately shook out the thought.Â
âCâmon Y/N itâs way too early to be thinking like this. You haven't even gone on a date with him yet and you're already thinking about a future. Jesus.â Y/N muttered to herself, verbally smacking some common sense into her brain.Â
As she continued to walk towards Tom, he looked up to meet her eyes and started walking to her direction. âFancy seeing you here, darling.â he greeted with that boyish smile. He offered his hands, gesturing to allow him to carry her bag, but Y/N simply shook her head and declined the offer. âItâs okay. I got it.âÂ
âAre you sure?â he asked.Â
âOf course, but would it be okay if we stopped by my apartment to drop this off?â Y/N replied to him. âI really don't want to be carrying this around while I blow your mind with the best food in the city.âÂ
Tom hadnât replied to Y/Nâs question, he was too busy thinking about..well...her. In his mind, he would have been more bold and responded to her question like âAw, here I was hoping you were just going to invite me in to stay there and I can show you a really good timeâ. Or âNothing blows my mind more than youâ.
Instead what came out was âYeah, sure thatâs fine.â he smiled back, mentally slapping himself for not being able to pull off something smoother.
âOkay, letâs go. Itâs not that far.â Y/N lead the way, with Tom following behind. There it was. That awkward-but-not-so-awkward tension coming up as the two walked in silence to Y/Nâs apartment. Both knew it wasnât an official date, so why was it hard to just strike a conversation? Y//N and Tom fought with their inner conscious as they tried to figure out how to make the first move. It was then when both Tom and Y/N, took a deep breath and said out loud their questions the same time.
They laughed at their failed attempts to strike a proper conversation, and tried to make it better by saying âYou first.â in unison and then âNo you.âÂ
Tom gestured to Y/N to speak first. âSo how was your press interview? Did you get in trouble for being late?â Y/N asked as they continued to walk the streets of 34th Avenue.
Tom looked at Y/Nâs way, recollecting their first meet up. Indeed Tom was extremely late, but if he hadnât been he wouldnât be in this position right now with her. âYeah it went well. I just got in a little bit of trouble, but itâs okay. Sometimes youâve got to live a little dangerously.â he winked, which made Y/Nâs cheeks display the most delicate shade of pink. âWhat about you? How was work?â
Y/N shrugged at his question. âCanât complain. Im still new to the company, but the projects are fun and everyoneâs welcoming and a pleasure to work with. Just hoping I dont mess it up.â
âIm sure you wonât. You dont seem to be that type.â Tom responds truthfully.
Y/N looks at him and smiles. âOh? And what type do I seem to be?â She challenges him, but before he could speak, they make it to Y/Nâs apartment.
She jiggles the key in and opens the door for Tom, allowing him to enter first. The first thing that catches his eyes are the cream colored walls and soft blue furniture accents. Papers are piled up on a table, and pictures of Y/N with her friends and family placed decoratively on the walls. Candles were lit and the T.V. was softly playing in the background. âWow...this is really cozy.â Tom reacts, intaking the surrounding. âThough I must say I usually get invited inside the house on the second date.â He laughs at his sorry joke.
Thankfully Y/Nâs sense of humor was extremely easy tonplease, and she laughed along with him, playfully hitting his shoulder. âOh stop, I told you I need to set my stuff down. I ââ
âHey Y/N I was wondering whatââ Y/Nâs roomate and best friend comes in to the living room seeing a rare sighting of Y/N with a man. âOh...I didnt know we had company.â She smiles, trying her best to contain her excitement for her best friend.
âOh right.â Y/N closes her eyes briefly in hopes that her best friend doesnt embarrass her. âUm Tom this is Kaitlyn, sheâs my best friend and roomate. Kaitlyn this is Tom Hââ
âBelieve me. I know who you are.â Kaitlyn smiles widely. âItâs...wow..a surprise really. Nice to meet you.â
âAnd itâs a pleasure to meet you.â Tom greets back shaking her hand.
âSo are you two like...â Kaitlyn gestures as she squiches her hands together. âOn a date?â
Both Y/Nâs and Tomâs eyes widen, both of their cheeks turning a deep shade of pink. They knew it wasnt such a bad thing to consider, them being on a date and getting romantic. But they just met, neither wanted to risk the chance of screwing it up. âOf course not. I was just planning to show Tom around the city, since heâs not from here.â
Tom would be lying if he said his heart didnt drop just a little, but he wasnt going to let that show. Even though he wanted it to be so much more than a hang out. âYeah, I figured why not....since weâre friends.â There it goes again..that awkward silence.
âUh huh. Im sure you both will enjoy your friendly hangout. Y/N knows all the best places to eat.â
âI wouldnt doubt it.â Tom smiles.
âAnd we should get going...uhh Kaitlyn youâre welcome to join us if you want?â Y/N interjects as she and Tom get ready to go out.
âOh. Itâs fine! You two go out. Im good here.â Kaitlyn rejects and winks at Y/N.
Y/N rolls her eyes as she leads Tom out. Not far from her home, the two make it to Cheleaâs Market, where they indulge in all things Italian. From the flavorful pasta, to the fresh steamy focaccia bread that comes right out of the stone oven. It was Y/Nâs go-to place to impress anyone visiting. The food was great and the scenery outside was beautiful.
While the food was incredible, Tomâs prescence was where the real magic came to play. She could only imagine what hanging out with a celebrity would be like, but Tom was another story.
She took in how engaged he was with her stories about growing up in a small town in New Jersey with her family, how Kaitlyn and two other friends had stayed together since they were 6, and how her life had felt so barred until she moved here in the city, feeling free for the first time ever.
He was interested in all of it. Tomâs eyes looked at her with endearment, and his smile grew the more he heard about her most heart touching memories, his laugh becoming more robust and joyus when she told him a funny memory. He was falling for her, even though he didnt want to admit it just yet. While he got a good chunk of her life, he wanted to know more.
Y/N on the other hand, wanted to turn the tables. âSo what about you?â She asked, as they both made their way to the High Line, warm latte in hand.
âWhat do you mean?â He questions back, displaying a coy smile.
âCâmon you know what I mean. Whatâs your story? And when I mean story I dont mean how you got famous.â Y/N explains as they continue walking.
Tom looked down at the ground, thinking. He couldnt remember the last time a stranger wiuld ask about his life, and not just the story about his career. âWell, I have 3 younger brothers. A set of twins named Sam and Harry and a younger brother name Paddy but we like to call him Padster. I lived with my best mate Harrison for 4 years. Love sports but golfing all time has to be my favorite. Ironically, Im terrified of spiders and I hate cheese.â
Y/N took in his 5 minute biography, and thought about how genuine he was. Just like she did, Tom gave stories about his brothers and best friend, and the more he talked the real he felt to Y/N. Their friendship was blossoming and in this moment nothing felt out of place. âWow, you hate cheese?! Cheese is single-handely the best creation on this planet. I feel sorry for the girl that had to deal with that.â Y/N stopped her tracks, realizing what she just slipped in. She didnt mean to mention about a potential girlfriend he did or didnt have, it just...happened.
âHaha Im sure she doesnât mind. She doesnt particulary like cheese either.â He plays along, but Y/Nâs spirit started to lower. So there was a girl after all. She should have known.
âOh, so there is a girl. Isnt there?â She speaks in a monotone.
âOf course! Tessa shes been with me for awile. Cheeky little dog, but I love her so much.â Tom laughs as he takes a sip of his coffee.
Y/N shook her head as she caught on his words. Dog? Upon realization, she shook her head looking down at the ground hiding her embarrassment.
âSorry. I had to.â He continued to laugh, âbut your face and attitude was priceless. Its almost as if you weâre jealous or soemthing.â
âWhat?! Me jealous?! Please.â Y/N tried miserably to play off.
âCâmon I saw those lips purse and that cute nose scrunch. You looked wee bit jealous.â Tom stated as he lifted her chin to meet his eyes. The moment was tense and silent but not akward. They took in each others features, lips getting closer, eyes slowly closing until... âItâs getting late.âY/N whispered. Both let down by the moment being ruined.
Tom pulled away with a look of disappointment. âYeah...youâre right. Iâll walk you back? My hotel is not far from your place.â He offered.
âOf course itâs not. Itâs the tri-state area. Everything here is 30 minutes or less.â She jokes, trying to lighten the mood. âI would like that a lot.â
They continued to walk back home, side by side with light conversations. Almost forgetting their almost-kiss on their unofficial date. As they reached the steps of Y/Nâs apartment. The two bid their farewell.
âWell I had a lot of fun tonight. Thank you Y/N.â Tom said smiling at her as he held her hand.
âLikewise. I cant remember the last time I had this much fun.â Y/N admits, hoping that this wouldnt be the first and last time sheâd see him. âMaybe we can do this again?â She bravely suggests.
âIâd love that. See you soon, darling.â With that he kissed her goodbye on the cheek as he made his way to the hotel, but not until he made sure, Y/N got inside safely.
Proceed to Track 3.

I did not sleep well last night and I was worried it would make today bad but honestly I had another really awesome day. I am so sad that tomorrow is the last day Ill be there until the summer. But also like. It feels good to feel so good at work again.Â
But like I said. Sleep was bad last night. My back hurt really bad and I tried everything I know. Stretching, laying in the studio, laying on the couch. I just could not feel comfortable and I was super upset. I eventually fell asleep but it was way closer to 2am than I expected.Â
So when my alarm went off I was very. Unhappy. But I got up and got dressed and honestly I felt good. Or at least good enough. James was kind enough to put air in the car tires so i wouldnt have to worry about it. And I was able to leave a little later today and still get to work before anyone else.Â
I had a lovely day. It was cool but much less windy and I was much more comfortable. And it was really a great time. I got all the art supplies together, and put that all in the cabins. The kids got there pretty quick and we went up to the cabin before we headed to do some rope things. I am really lucky because this group is just so chill and kind. They have made this week such a great time and I just feel really lucky. They are just all so nice.Â
When we got to the cabin we had a few minutes so we played a name game and they did a good job. They really "buy in" to the who hokey camp thing and it makes things so much nicer and more fun. And when we did the rope element they all worked so well together to encourage eachother. Just such excellent kids.Â
We made an obstacle course for their field time. I tidied up the sports shed while the kids got the course ready. I had a lot of fun cleaning that up and when the kids ran their course I timed them and the best time was 38 seconds. It was so fun.Â
We did lunch and I have to repack my food because I felt sick eating what I packed. I will go figure that out after I finish this up. When the kids were done with lunch I set up art supplies and they made paper collages. They love the idea of doing community projects together so they made a collage as a group. And the ones who wanted to do something else collected large sticks for our shelter building project tomorrow. Its supposed to rain tomorrow so we wanted to get all the wood on the porch so it wouldnt be wet and we could potentially use it for a camp fire.Â
At some point we ended up talking about art school. And they had so many questions and we started talking about what critique does and how you can lead a conversation to get the info that is helpful. And that lead to talking about contemporary art and sculpture and my feels about museums and labels and it was so cute because they were asking great questions and responding so well. I honestly talked at them for almost a half hour. It was ridiculous and now they just want me to tell them "art stories" all the time.Â
I also told them that a few years ago at MCAD camp the kids would play a game where they would just ask me to tell them about a topic and I would think of any of the fun facts I have in my mind on any thing they want to know about. So now thats going to be a thing Im sure. So far they have asked about chips and ships. They think it very funny that I have had so many different jobs and done so many different things. It is a very nice ego boost honestly.Â
Me and Erin let them play in the gaga ball pit for a while. We just laid in the grass and talked for a while. I ended up explaining the entire bronze casting process to her. We talked about art school and games and just college in general. Shes really cool. Im glad we got paired up this week. She had some fun team building games for them to play, like a human knot and this funny one where they all stand on a tarp and have to figure out how to flip the tarp without stepping off of it. So that was very silly.Â
We ended the day with rock climbing. I had them play a quiet game while they waited. And told them stories of my bike crash and working on the boats. I really like this group of kids. They told me today they hope they can be a group this summer and I really hope that can happen for them because they are all so sweet together. Honestly Im being spoiled with them. Excellent children.Â
But I was still glad to be done at the end of the day. I got them all to pick up after snack. And then cleaned up before going to the office.Â
There was some stress at the end of the day when we realized a visitor had done a hit and run on one of the staff's cars. So that was a whole upsetting thing. I hope it can be worked out. But it was time for me to go home.Â
The drive felt long but it wasnt bad. I got home at 530 and was just really happy to be here.Â
James was making me pasta because they are great. I was not feeling so great though. My sinuses hurt and my body ached. James held me on the couch for a little while. We had dinner. And I played a few minutes of animal crossing. But I was just tired so Ive been laying in bed since then. I think now I am just going to shower and get in bed. I really really hope I can just sleep tonight. Because tomorrow will be a lot. Because its going to storm. And Im leading the art programs. And like. Its gonna be fine. But also the rain makes me sleepy. So wish me luck.Â
Also just as a final note. Today is 10 years since I made this blog. So thats exciting! Im not going to make a big to do about it because the actual day to day posts didnt start until August. So its exciting but mostly just a footnote.Â
But now is time for sleep. Goodnight everyone.Â

ooh your Ocs sound really cool! I'd like to hear more about them, so I'd also like to ask for numbers 21, 29, 39 and 48 đ
You don't know how happy that makes me that you want to hear more about my OC's đđ„°
21.) Your Most artistic OC:
I have a hedgehog named May whose powers involve growing flowers and plantlife at will. She lives alone in a small cabin in the forest so she does all sorts of crafty things, like sewing, gardening, painting, etc.
She tends to grow flowers in such a way to make living architecure and fancy designs, more for herself but occasionally a traveler will see her work and be super impressed.
29) which OC would investigate an abadoned house at night without telling anyone?
Ive got a few!
Spurious the Fox just wouldnt consider telling anyone, just because it wouldnt cross his mind as important. He'd just be like "oooh a creepy abandoned place" and then he'd waltz right in. He has a very warped perception of reality and things that should be scary or dangerous just... aren't.
Clarity might occasionally not tell anyone shes going to a place like that, mostly for Eric's sake. (They're dating :D) She hates making him worry about her safety and since the events of Sonic Forces, shes constantly putting herself in dangerous situations.
Ive got a few ninja characters (based off of Archie Sonic Comics 4 clans) that just wouldnt tell anyone and go into an abandoned house for the sake of their clan duties.
Lydia the Gecko, Riko the Chameleon, and Kyra the Lynx all would go there alone in the name of their clan.
39) Introduce Any character you Want!
Who wants to hear about my very first, and slightly unoriginal OC who I love too much to move on from? XD
Gonna add a readmore because of long backstory stuff :3
So when Gerald Robotnik was captured by G.U.N. and held on Prison Island, there was a young budding scientist named Richard, who at the time was working as a prison guard was trying to glean any info off of project Shadow he could.
He was able to get a blood sample from Shadow in cryo, as well as listen to some of the insane ramblings of Gerald in his cell to try and piece together some of the research. At home, he tried to recreate it, but seeing as he was missing the chaos emeralds, the biolizard and only had one syringes worth of Shadow's DNA, he was doomed to fail.
Eventually he started reworking the plans he had to try and make something similar but new. Which lead to the conclusion that he needed a living test subject.
Enter Silena Jacobs, a 17 year old High Schooler who was the daughter of a local politician. She was the youngest child of four and was the most rebellious. She had a tendency to sneak out her window at night and go to house parties, much to the disappointment of her parents.
In what started out as an accident, she got hit by a car while jaywalking, getting severly injured and left in the side of a ditch. The driver pulled a hit and run, leaving her for dead.
Of all the people to find her, it was Richard. Instead of calling the police, he panicked, realizing he could use her for his experiments. His personal pride and desire for science overrided any concern for her, and he ended up kidnapping her.
He combined Shadows DNA with hers, and used electrcity and radiation in place of chaos energy.
What he got was something that looked sort of like Shadow, but was fundamentally diffrent.
Silena retained none of her human memories and had no chaos powers to speak of. She also ended up with a watered down version of immorality, being able to have a much longer lifespan, but at the cost of her mental and pyschical stability.
Richard attempted to figure out what she was capable of but wasnt able to get very far. His kidnapping of a politicians family member ended up being a really big deal, and they were eventually able to trace her disappearance back to him.
In a last ditch effort to save his work, he told her to run, burned his entire house down with his research and got arrested.
Since then, Silena has tried to figure out who she is and who she was while at the same time not getting herself caught by the goverment.
Shes one of my sassier OC's and has no problem talking back to people. She has two stories, one on earth and then one where she tries to learn to live on Mobius, finally surrounded by people who look like she does.
Ended up cutting that short before I write a whole novel LOL. I have such a soft spot for her, even though appearance wise shes no original in the slightest.
48) OC who is a Perfect Cinnamon Roll:
I'd have to say that my purest character is probably Ryuku the Betta Fish.
Look at her. Shes a smol bean whose powers consist of tiny paper fish that she uses to teleport between. She doesnt talk very much and lives near a small shrine with her grandfather. Clarity and her are the only ones I have decent pics for, as they are my favorites. XD
Thanks again for the asks! Im so happy you like my OC's, I dont get the chance to talk about them very much ^-^
#ask soul#part 2#OC ask#OCs#sonic#Im probably gonna start putting a Google Doc about all of them together now.#Ive checked the numbers#I have 17

when i said it i thought it was true [2] {Ben Hardy}
A/N: 2821 words. continuation of the Fake Dating AU; enjoy
[part 1]
He calls you darling with his head between your thighs, and a camera over your shoulder, and youâre scripted to card a hand through his hair - you can barely look at that wig and keep a straight face -Â and just as you do, the door in the centre of the frame bursts open. The camera refocuses, and itâs Gwil in a pair of shorts and a t-shirt, announcing that the band had been played on the radio. After a beat, he stops, sees you scrambling to push Ben away and cover yourself, but heâs more excited at the news as he gets to his feet.
Itâs a short scene, and once cut is called on the first take, and the crew take a moment to look over the footage. Like clockwork, people start moving around you, adjusting lighting, shouting technical jargon that youâve learned to tune out over the years, and Ben sits on the edge of the bed as Gwil joins the pair of you, chatting with Ben about the football.
Youâve got a robe somewhere but you donât bother with it, just wait as the scene is reset around you, and people come in and fluff the pillows behind you, and the camera angles itself a little lower as the sheet gets pulled off of you. Youâre very glad that most of the crew are professionals, because theyâve got you in a pair of high-cut, surprisingly flattering cotton panties, and a tight, brown crop-top with a fringe that stops just above your stomach.
Gwil leaves and Ben leans back, his head pillowed on your thigh, and you gently kick him with your free leg, though it only serves to make him laugh. And then the cameras are rolling and Ben shifts so heâs laying on his stomach, his cheek resting against your thigh as he looks up at you with that mischievous glint in his eyes.
Thereâs a moment, seeing the way he looks up at you, part of you forgets itâs acting on top of acting, and you feel like youâre thrown back in time, leaning against his headboard as he presses a kiss to your inner thigh, the room dark around you apart from the warm glow of the light beside his bed and-
The director calls action and youâre ripped from the memory. If it hurts, just a little, to see him smile at you again like that and know it means nothing, you try not to dwell on it. You smile back.
âDo you have to get up? Weâve got the day off.â Ben wraps an arm around you pressing his forehead to your back, his voice still rough with sleep.
âYou have the day off.â You correct with a small smile, trying to sit up. He just tightens his grip, pressing a kiss between your shoulder blades. âBen.â The way you say his name is a gentle warning, and you can feel him smirk, his lips against your back as he gives a hum of acknowledgement. âThey want me on set in an hour and a half.â
âCome on, thatâs heaps of time.â And heâs tugging at your hip. You take that as your cue to turn, fondly exasperated when you finally look at him. âSo this one is...?â He prompts, small smile on his lips as he sees the way youâre playful annoyance turn endeared.Â
Itâs something else to wake up next to him, his hair a curly mess, expression unguarded and affectionate in the morning light. The curtains arenât open, but thereâs a sliver of light peaking through a gap between them, and the light shines in, hitting the arm heâs got draped across you. The idea of Ben Hardy trying to keep you in bed, smiling at you like that, would have been laughable just a few months ago, yet here you were.
âMidsomer Murders, theyâve got me playing a bakerâs daughter whoâs killed âcos she looks like some blokeâs ex.â You tell him quietly. Thereâs a moment of silence that follows, and youâre not even sure he heard you, a look in his eyes like the world outside could be burning and he wouldnât even care if youâre by his side.Â
âSounds like itâs right up your alley.â He mused, arm still around you, and you laugh at that. The sound makes his smile brighter.
âWhat the baker, being murdered, or looking like an ex?â You asked lightly, though you realise too late that it could be construed as some sort of twisted relationship test, thought he just chuckled, not reading anything into it.
âFinding yourself playing someone tragic.â He explained. Heâs still smiling, but your own expression falls as you consider the weeks you had ahead of you.
The producers of Eastenders had sat you down to explain that your character was going to overdose at the end of the Season, and be rushed to hospital. The survival of her was entirely dependant on the fanâs reaction to the character and the event, but even if she recovered, her romantic arc with Benâs character would end. The fans wanted him back with Lauren, and the production team agreed.
âDo you think itâs weird that my characters keep getting killed off?â You asked, and he rests a hand on your cheek, thumb gently brushing against your cheekbone.
ââcourse not, babe. Two is a coincidence, maybe start worrying about being typecast if it happens again.â Heâs so gentle when he says it that you canât help but smile back, leaning in to press your lips to his before getting up to start getting ready, and Ben grumbles without you by his side, but heâs smiling as he watches you flit about the room.
âYou and Ben were together last time we worked together, right?â You and Gwil are the first two on set for the first day of shooting the Madison Square Garden after party. Youâd just wanted to get their early knowing youâd have to spend a good deal of time in hair with the wig they had for you for the scene.Â
âThat was a while ago; surprised you even remember that.â You laughed, eyes closed where a makeup artist was busy applying eyeshadow.Â
âYeah, I forgot about it until the Interruption Scene,â he says, and you snicker, humming with agreement. The silence that stretches between you is a pleasant one. Youâd been on quite a few episodes of Midsomer Murder with Gwil, enjoyed his company well enough, not that the two of you had really spoken back then, heâd been a lead and you had different bit-parts every time, and you hadnât really kept in touch, but he was shaping up to be a good friend on set here.
âHow are you two going now?â He asked, idly, watching your reflection as your lips were painted a bright red.
âGood.â You answer automatically, pausing to blot your lips before elaborating. âItâs- uh, honestly itâs weird being back together.â You cast an uncertain gaze to the makeup woman who was clearly trying to hide her surprise.Â
âGood-weird?â Gwil asks, raising an eyebrow, and you hesitate. When your words come out next, they spill, too fast as if making up for the silence in which you had to actually think about the answer.
âYeah, of course, it would be weird if it wasnât, you know, good-weird.â After a beat, you took a deep breath, forcing your shoulders to relax. âAll relationships are weird at first.â And you swallow, standing from your seat and heading into get your wig. Benâs yawning as he steps past you to get to the makeup trailer, and you catch his wrist as he passes.Â
âHey.â Voice soft, you smile at him, trying to push down your sudden uncertainty. He looks a little confused, but his answering âheyâ is kind and fond. He catches sight of a makeup assistant waiting for him, and he presses a quick kiss to your temple before making his way in.
Itâs easy to pretend to love him.Â
Almost as easy as it was to actually love him.
"So are you gonna leave him once you leave Eastenders?â Maisie was rather blunt. She was one of the only people you talked to after having your production with her had wrapped, and thatâs more so because she was a freelance production assistant for indie movies, and sheâd let you know about upcoming projects.Â
âWhat the hell, May, no.â You spluttered, and she rose her eyebrows leaning back and taking a long sip of her coffee. Sheâs judging you. Sheâs always judging you. Itâs part of her charm, you learn not to be insulted.
âOh, I thought it was just like, a publicity thing.â She admitted, and your brow creases in confusion.
âThatâs fucked, thatâs so disingenuous.âÂ
The two of you fit together so easily, sitting on a gilded love-seat in the middle of Freddieâs living room set. Benâs got an arm around you and a prop glass of alcohol free champagne, and thereâs extras all around you buzzing with energy. Every so often youâll catch one of them watching you and Ben as if youâre some sort of spectacle, and you have that unique sinking sensation that comes with being a public figure; of everyone knowing your business whether you told them or not.
âI think they know.â You murmur in between takes, and he makes a hum of acknowledgement, before turning to you, expression neutral, if not a little confused. âI know, thatâs the point.â You know what heâs trying to say without him having to say it, reading him even after a few years apart.Â
âYou wanna get dinner after this?â He asks quietly, and your expression turns reflexively confused.
âItâs already midnight, itâs not like anyone will expect us to be out, not that anythingâs open.â You rested your cheek on his shoulder as he looked out at the crowd.
âWe can go to Seven-Eleven for all I care, I just need to get food after this.â He muttered, and you suppressed a smile.
âSo weâre putting it on for the cashier?â You asked, and he turned to face you, chin bumping into your forehead when you refused to move your head.
âBabe,â he says pointedly, and you have to laugh, because if you donât you think your chest might ache a little, âI just want company, itâs not that complicated.âÂ
Except it is that complicated. Being around him like this has reminded you how good it felt to be with him. Itâs been almost three months, and youâve forced yourself into the habit of reminding both of you that it was fake, that it was for attention, and even if you were really friends again, there was nothing real about the romance. It was getting on his nerves, now that you were closed to the end of filming.
âI know that this isnât real.â His grip on the steering wheel is white knuckled as he drives to McDonalds. âI get it, okay, I know whatâs happening, you can stop reminding me.â
âItâs not all for you, Ben.â Voice soft, you lean back in your seat. Heâs parked, but neither of you feel the need to leave the car.Â
âWhat? Youâre reminding yourself?â He asked, and you made a noise of affirmation, and heâs quiet for a long time.Â
âHalf the time, if I donât remind myself, I just forget.â You refuse to be embarrassed or ashamed by that. âWe didnât actually break up that long ago,â you reminded him; it had only been about two years, âso Iâm sorry if itâs weird for me.âÂ
âItâs weird for me too, okay?â
Your final scene of the Season has you laying in a hospital bed. Thereâs no words, just the steady beat of a heart monitor thatâs going to be added in post production, and a shot of Benâs face before he leaves, slamming the door to lean against it with his face in his hands.Â
You fall asleep about five minutes into filming, and itâs only when Ben comes and lays down beside you on the hospital bed that you wake. Apparently theyâd already filmed three takes. His eyes are red-rimmed, but heâs smiling.
âDonât cry for me.â You tell him, gently teasing, laying your head on his chest and yawning loudly. He wraps an arm around you.
âTell that to the writers.â He snorted, his hand rubbing gently up and down your arm. âI donât know how you can sleep through all this.â He mused, and you give him a deadpan look.
âWell someone didnât let me get a lot of sleep last night.â Though your tone is accusatory, your smile is playful, and Ben refuses to meet your gaze, a blush rising on his cheeks.
âIâm not going to apologise for that.â He says, tone lofty, though his voice drops to a murmur. With a giggle, you press a kiss to his jaw, murmuring that he shouldnât need to apologise anyway.Â
When he looks at you, looks past the makeup theyâve put on you to make you look sick and weary to the way youâre grinning at him, and he kisses you gently, his finger beneath your chin, lifting your lips to meet his.
Benâs called away a few moments later, and you see the woman playing Lauren smirking at him from the door frame. Ben rolls his eyes at her as he climbs from the bed, telling you over his shoulder that heâs sorry he disturbed your nap, and you laugh at that, shuffling into a comfortable position as one of the crew members came over and straightened the hospital blanket around you.
After the two of you talked in the McDonalds car park, things have become easier. Thereâs no more reminders, not in the traditional sense; when itâs just the two of you, he calls you dude, and you call him buddy, and neither can take the other one seriously. He almost snorted beer from his nose when the two of you grabbed dinner at a pub and youâd told him;
âYou look cute tonight, buddy.â
Low effort, low pressure, you let yourselves fall into the role of best friends who occasionally kissed when in public. Itâs not even weird when you remember little details about one another from when you were together, it was more fond than anything else.
âBen, settle an argument for us,â theyâre on the set of Freddieâs first apartment, and you werenât actually in the scene, but youâd been bored out of your mind at the hotel you were staying at and came along to watch the recording. Ben was sitting beside Lucy on his phone on the brown leather sofa in the middle of the set, while Rami and Joe were laying side by side on the mattress by the piano, and you were behind the camera with Gwil, trying to touch his wig, and getting your hand slapped away every time, as if it were a game.
âIs this the most impractical bed,â Joe parroted the script, and Lucyâs delivery, to which the actress rolled her eyes with a goodnatured smile, âor just a genius designing his room to best suit his own creative feng shui?â
âWhy would you ask him?â You call over as Ben considers thoughtfully for a moment. âHe designs his living room about how to best minimise glare on the TV.â You snicker, and Ben looks like heâs about to protest, but then his expression changes and heâs nodding in agreement, before adding.
âThe bedâs impractical though, I keep kicking my shin against it.â He adds, and when the boys are giving him a confused look, surprised that he agreed so quickly with your words, he shrugs. âWe lived together, she knows what my living room looks like.â He says, as if itâs explanation enough, and honestly, it is.
âDo you ever think about getting married?â The two of you are curled up on his sofa one evening, binge watching something forgettable on Netflix, and your whole body freezes. âChrist, calm down, Iâm not asking you, Iâm just curious.â Thereâs a laugh in his words, and you let yourself relax.
âMaybe one day, when Iâm a bit older.â You muse, sighing softly and leaning further into him. âWhen I stop playing crack whores and murder victims.âÂ
âBut you play them so well.â He says, with all the fake-enthusiasm he can muster, and you shove him in the ribs.
âOi, Iâve got more range than that.â You huff, before settling back down. âWhat about you?â You ask, and he lets out a low, long hum.
âHavenât really thought about it much.â He admits, and you make a noise thatâs halfway between amused and confused.
âWhatâs got you thinking about it now?â When you ask, he tightens his grip on you, just a little, pressing a kiss to the top of your head.
âNot really sure.â

Most of the time, I feel like the show sacrifices Chatâs potential for showing off girl power. Like I love all the characters and representation in the show, but teamwork is also a thing. Teamwork, not Ladybugwork.
Well, we need to realize that was exactly showâs aim - to show girlâs power. I dont like it in this show (for example, in the show like Totally Spice it makes sense, i think), Im always about representation of strong sides of all main characters (hey, if Adrien wasnt a main character who we see as much as Marinette, it wouldnt bother me)Â despite their gender, not using some of them as sidekick or damsel in distress all the time. I wanna see that Adrien has special abilities as well as Marinette. That he has own special talents, that Ladybug needs him not just for distractions, when he can self sacrife to save her or just to destroy some stuff. If its not about Chat, I wanna see what special Adrien can do in his civilian life.
Okay, Chat/Adrien is weaker than Ladybug, so whats really special about him then? He is⊠very kind? Not really, he can be mean and do something not right and dont be sorry about it later. He is smart? Maybe he has the best grades, but he definitely is not smarter than Marinette, weâve got it. He is a great sportsman? Kagami can beat him, Ladybug can beat Chat, so âyayâ girlâs power again. if Marinette would do some sports like fencing, Im sure she would beat Adrien anywhere. Idk, maybe Adrien is the best in sports in their class, but its a third season and we still have not much idea about it (only if in one of the first and bad drawn american comics where Adrienin one of the sport team games beats a boy who was akumatized because of it, I dont remember it well) Well, maybe Adrien is better in languages *shrugs*. Or in dancing. Ah yes, he can play the piano. Nice. What a cute talented boy.
I feel like Adrien has some kind of role which female characters have in typical stories where they exist as a good âprizeâ for male characters. They dont need to develop, they are just pretty, nice, talented in something and they are involved in some kind of drama in the plot and probably a man (or even more than one male character for putting love triangles) wants to protect and save them from something.Â
OKAY I just wanna say that going against a big number of olâ kinda sexist stories where male characters lead and making the opposite of it with female leading (again, if in first situation there are fem heroes who are meant to be always weaker, and if male one being like that too in second situation)⊠Well, i dont like this kind of strategy tbh, fighting against it using the same way wont solve a problem. Its just another side of the same problem. But its my opinion, you can think whatever you want.Â
My main question why Ladybug told Chat that he was irreplaceable while there are no episode which really proves it. At least, in professional side. Just like in the beginning of the latest episode he acted like a flirty idiot again, boy is not learning his lesson at all.
If they just wanted to make simply cute and handsome guy for Marinette/Ladybug who is ready to save her, kind and romantic despite his dramatic life, etc, so⊠okay, they did it. But if he is a main character and a hero of such show which ML staff like to present as some kind of big and original project, they could work better with it, I think. Or just not to add some confusing moments which show him actually not so perfect, then not solving them at all.
Maybe Ive gone too far with my thoughts >.> I will try to rethink about all of it.
#ugh so much text#sorry#my mind if messy#and im too salty i guess lmaooo#i saw that many people are okay with chat's role as a sidekick tho but i wont change my mind about it#ask#ml salt#ml season 3

Remember Me - Chapter 14
(First Chapter) (Previous Chapter) (Next Chapter)
Word Count: 5,504 (Total Word Count: 57,367) Read on AO3
Story Summary:
It was strange enough for the paladins of Voltron to have found another human this far from home, locked in a Galra prison. But it was stranger still when this human insisted that he knew them, and even that he was the former red paladin of Voltron.
That couldnât possibly be true, could it? After all, if this Keith was actually a part of the Voltron team, then why does nobody remember him?
Chapter Preview:
âKeith,â Allura snapped. âWhat do you think youâre doing?!â
âSaving the stupid mission, whatâs it look like Iâm doing?â Keith shot back.
âYou were supposed to stay on the bridge with Coran!â
âWhoops,â Keith said drily. âGuess I forgot. Lance, on your eleven.â
âOn my - hey!â Lance yelped, veering Red away as Keith sped by mere inches from her port flank. âWatch where youâre flying!â
âHowâre things looking, Pidge?â
âWell, the intel holds true. Weâre definitely getting readings in line with the ones the rebels sent us.â
âAnd youâre sure itâs quintessence?â
âEither that or the most bizarre new form of static cling ever discovered.â
Allura sighed, pinching the bridge of her nose as she frowned up at the screen where imaging from the Green Lionâs viewport was being projected back into the bridge, where the other paladins stood gathered, watching intently. âPidge,â Allura said, âWhat have I told you about being sarcastic when reporting to base?â
âHard to say, princess, I tend to tune you out when we get onto that topic.â
âPidge,â Shiro said, tone scolding.
âSorry. In any case, thereâs definitely readings of quintessence on this ship, but itâs also definitely⊠different.â
âDifferent how?â Allura asked. âDifferent like the quintessence the Bladeâs been trailing?â
âNo, see here.â The view on the screen switched to Pidgeâs helmet cam, and she pointed to a readout on her dashboard. âThereâs no pattern to the energy surges. The quintessence that the Blade found in connection to Lotor had different energy readings than the ones we have on record from that druid lab we found way back when, but they were still regular. This stuff here, though, itâs like - it seems⊠unstable.â
âMaybe itâs because youâre moving around in Green,â Lance suggested. âLike, you know, youâre getting closer and farther to the ship, so the readingâs weird?â
âNo, Lance,â Pidge sighed. âThatâs not it.â
âWell, we canât know that for sure until - â
âYes, we can. Distance doesnât affect how Green picks up quintessential residue. She releases a signal toward a pre-calculated epicenter on the targeted area that remains completely static regardless of - â
âNever mind,â Lance said. âI just decided you know what youâre doing.â
âOh, goody, I feel validated.â
âCould whateverâs creating the quintessence energy be being actively altered right now?â Shiro asked. âPerhaps thereâs a working lab in that ship?â
âDoubtful,â Coran spoke up. âNot with that make of ship. Itâs a cargo ship, for one thing, but beyond that, it looks to be modeled after the Galraâs old Lexell-N-13 ships. Wonderful stability in the engine room, but notoriously terrible at maintaining internal gravity levels. A dreadful place to be doing precision lab work.â
âSo, what are we looking at, then?â Allura asked.
âTransporting supplies, no doubt,â Coran answered. âWhateverâs leaving the quintessence traces may be whatâs being experimented upon.â
âNot sure if that really gives us the greatest well of answers as to what the druids have been up to,â Keith commented from the back of the group. âNot if we donât get access to their process in action, I mean.â This was the first he had spoken since Allura had told them about the signal the rebel group had picked up. Amid their wormholing to the coordinates and sending Pidge out in her cloaked Green Lion to scout out the ship the rebels had come across, he had remained quiet, intently focused.
âPerhaps not the greatest,â Coran replied, âBut still useful. We can certainly glean information from whatever is being transported, both the cargo itself and inventory logs, and if theyâre keeping travel records, we could use those to find out where the ship is coming from and where itâs going - two other locations that would be immense resources to us.â
Shiro nodded. âAll right. Princess, your call: are we looking at an infiltration mission here?â
âThat would probably be the best course of action,â Allura answered.
Lance lifted his hand in question. âShould we go for hijacking the ship while weâre down there? Iâm just thinking, if this stuff important to Witch Lady, probably would be helpful to keep it from getting to checkpoint B, right?â
âNot in this case, no,â said Allura. âIf weâre able to get information about the shipâs docking points, weâre going to want to be able to go investigate them afterward. As long as weâre stealthy and donât impede the shipâs route, they wonât know weâre coming. If we interfere with them though, or if theyâre able to send off any communication that somethingâs gone wrong en route, theyâll have time to clear the evidence. And if that prison was anything to go by, it seems thatâs something at which the druids are quite adept.â
âAll right,â Shiro said with a brisk nod. âI could join Pidge, and we can go down in Green and try and make our way into the ship.â
âSounds good,â Allura said. âLance, be on standby in Red in case they need help making a quick exit. Hunk and I can ready Blue and Yellow in case any shots start firing, and we can regroup once youâre either finished, or if a battle situation erupts.â
âWhat should I do?â Keith asked as the others started toward their ziplines.
Allura paused mid-step. âWhat - what should you do?â
Keith nodded. âYeah. Should I ride down with someone, or do we have any cruisers to spare, orâŠ?â
âRight. Right.â Allura cleared her throat. âWell, actually, er, it - it would probably be very helpful to have an extra set of eyes here on the bridge to, say, keep an eye on - â
âUh-huh,â Keith cut her off, and Lance could practically see him physically deflating. âYeah, Iâm sure thatâll be helpful.â
Allura sighed. âKeith, this isnât a matter of you not being helpful, itâs - â
âI just figured, you know, this is sort of my mission too, isnât it?â Keith asked. âI mean, weâre - weâre looking into this ship because itâs a lead on, um, my - my, uh, my whole⊠deal, with Haggar, and I thought - â
âKeith - â
âAnd like Iâve already told you, Iâve got experience with infiltration missions, so I know what I - â
âKeith,â Shiro said. He had doubled back toward him from his path toward the zipline, and he set his hand on Keithâs shoulder, turning the smaller man slightly to look him in the face. âI promise you, this isnât anything personal. Iâm sure youâd do just fine on a mission. But right now, we just need to do this quickly and efficiently, and thatâs going to be more difficult if thereâs an unfamiliar element in the mix, you know? Weâre, ah, used to the current Voltron dynamic, we know how to work off of it.â
Keith bit at his lower lip for a moment before dropping his gaze and nodding. âRight, sorry,â he mumbled. âI hadnât thought of - Iâll, uh, stay here with Coran.â Shiro smiled and patted his shoulder before moving away.
âOh, Iâm honored to have the companionship!â Coran said, brightly and just a little too loudly to be perfectly natural, before throwing his arm around Keithâs shoulder and tugging him toward the mission control screens. âDonât know how many of these instruments youâre familiar with, so let me give you a quick rundown!â
He began an enthusiastic tutorial of the various monitors and buttons, and the other paladins took the opportunity to start toward the ziplines again. Lance shuffled over to walk beside Shiro. âYou know,â he whispered. âYou donât have to do that.â
âDo what?â Shiro asked.
âLike, give Keith a whole speech if he doesnât like an order? I know youâve never been big on pulling rank, but, I mean, you and Allura are in charge, right?â
Shiro shrugged. âIt doesnât hurt anything. âSpecially when heâs still not in the greatest state mentally and all.â
âHeâs a lot better on that mark lately. It just doesnât seem - â
âGotta split up here, Lance,â Shiro said, gesturing toward the zipline entrances.
Lance huffed out a breath. âRight,â he grunted, parting ways with Shiro and moving toward his own zipline. He could let the matter drop. It wasnât as if he actually cared about whether Shiro was coddling Keith too much. It just had seemed worth a mention.
Thatâs all.
He slid down the zipline and into Redâs waiting cockpit, and from there he flew out of the hangar to wait, and it was easy to put any concerns about how Shiro was handling Keith to the back of his mind. Red had a way of keeping him focused during a mission. Lance wasnât sure if it was just the thrill that came with being in the pilot seat, or if the Red Lionâs own keenness and confidence were contagious. Probably the latter, if he were to be honest. And it was something he wouldnât trade away for the world.
He waited for the others to get their places situated; Allura and Hunk were flanking Black on the way down so Shiro could move into Green for the infiltration itself, and keeping the lion covered until Shiro could return to the pilotâs seat. Once Shiro had made his move, he tailed Green along back toward the Galra ship, keeping his distance.
âFound what looks to be a good entry point over beneath this wing,â Pidge said into the comms. âI can keep Greenâs cloaking on and dock her. Lance, keep an eye out on the exterior and be ready in case we need to use a different exit point.â
âRoger,â Lance said. He started Red on a wide swingaround to the other side of the Galra ship, keeping his eyes peeled all the while for any activity.
âYou got any schematics you can send my way, Coran?â
âGot some for the old Lexell-N-13,â Coran answered. âNot sure it will be precisely the same as this ship, but should give you a good guideline.â
âPass âem over,â Pidge said. âLong as an access point to their security networkâs in roughly the same place, Iâm good to go.â
Lance kept his position in the air, and the others were quiet over their comms as they waited before Shiro said softly, âDisembarking Green now.â
âGot you on my radar, Shiro,â Lance said, pulling up the thermal imaging scope on Redâs dashboard and focusing onto the entry site Pidge had pointed out earlier, where two bright blurs indicated Shiro and Pidgeâs presence. âThink your coast is clear.â
âAll right, Iâll make my way toward security,â Pidge said. âAssuming that these schematics are accurate?â
âIâm eighty percent sure that they are,â Coran said.
âGood enough. Okay, Shiro, quintessence readingâs mostly centered farther back along the cargo bay toward the aft fuselage. Start heading that way, Iâll monitor you?â
âAlready on it,â Shiro said.
Lance watched as the two blurs from their heat signatures parted and took off, tracking them until they started overlapping with others on the ship in connecting hallways. At that point he minimized the thermal vision on his dashboard and brought Red around to monitor from behind the cover of one of the shipâs elevons.
âAt the security bank,â Pidge said after a few doboshes, âHowâs everyone holding up?â
âHunk and I are holding steady out here, Pidge,â Allura replied.
âSame here,â Lance said.
âThink Iâm gonna need a hand, actually,â Shiro said. âDoorâs not responding to my arm.â
âShit, hang on, I donât see any alarm raised or anything, so what did - â
âIt didnât light up red or sound an alarm, it was just unresponsive. Seems like itâs turned off.â
âAll right, hang on, let me get that powered back up for you.â There was quiet for a few moments before Pidge said, âUh, Shiro, what door are you trying to open?â
âThe cargo bay entrance? Why?â
âWell, Iâm looking, and I canât find any entrance to the cargo bay.â
âWhat?â
âLike, thereâs definitely a cargo hold here on the ship, got official schematics here in the security bank, but I canât⊠figure out how to get there.â
âCould you send those schematics my way, Pidge?â Coran asked.
âSure thing.â
âPidge?â said Shiro. âIf this isnât the entrance to the cargo hold - â
âHold on, let me find you on the monitors⊠yeah, looks like youâre trying to access a liquid hydrogen tank.â
âThen how do I get to the cargo hold?â
âIâm lookingâŠâ
âDonât forget, Pidge,â Coran said. âYouâre also looking for access to transport records and inventory logs.â In the background, Lance could hear Keithâs voice softly ask, âCan I look at the schematics?â
âYeah, yeah, I didnât forget,â Pidge said. âIâve got two hands, Coran, I can only type so much at once.â
âSo what should I - â Shiro started.
âLay low for sec,â Pidge answered. âLook, Iâll - Iâll keep an eye on the cameras while I work my way into their records, Coran can start trying to figure out a way into the cargo hold.â
âI donât think there is one,â Keith said.
A pause, then, âCome again, Mullet?â Lance asked.
âWell, I mean, there is, technically, but itâs not - look, I recognize these schematics, we infiltrated a ship with this exact same layout once when I was with the Blades, must have been the same model of - â
âNow, Keith,â Allura sighed, âWe have been over this. You were never actually - â
âNo, okay, whatever, I wasnât actually a Blade, but I swear, I know this ship! And youâre not gonna be able to get to the cargo hold, not from inside.â
âWhat are you talking about?â Pidge asked.
âItâs an added security measure to ensure that only select people have access to whateverâs being transported. You canât get to the cargo hold from inside, not unless you go completely smashing through some walls. The only way to get to the cargo is through the exterior bay doors, and they locking mechanisms and key codes arenât connected to the shipâs internal network, so Pidge wonât be able to hack them from where she is.â
âAw, isnât it so sweet how much the Galra all respect and trust each other,â Pidge muttered. âSo what, weâre gonna have to go try to get into the cargo bay from the outside?â
âNothing doing, short stuff,â Lance said. âIâve got the exterior cargo bay doors in my view. Windows all around, right in the line of a laser turret just off the starboard wing, no place to dock Green⊠thereâs no way in Hell youâd ever be able to get in there without being spotted.â
Keith let out a little grunt of frustration before saying, âWell, then, forget about the stealth, and you can just - â
âAbsolutely not,â Allura said. âRemember, if we give away our activity, we give them the opportunity to clear out evidence wherever the ship is intending to go.â
âBut - â
âSorry, Keith, but Alluraâs right,â Shiro said. âFor now, we may just have to forego the cargo and focus on Pidgeâs info download.â
â...Fine.â
âWell,â Pidge said. âThe good news is, that shouldnât take much longer. Think Iâm just about into their primary drive, so if we - â A sudden blare sounded into the comms, making Lance wince and put a hand over his ear. âFuck!â Pidge spat.
âWhat happened?!â Shiro cried.
âPidge, did you trigger an alarm?!â Hunk asked.
âNo, no way, I - â
Whatever she said next, Lance didnât hear. His eyes widened as one of the turrets on the ship rotated toward him. A nudge from Red kept his surprise from freezing him in his tracks, and he had time to grab onto the steering and pull away before a laser blast came shooting his way.
âCrap!â Hunk yelped. âTheyâre shooting!â
âYou donât say?!â Lance grunted. âSorry, Pidge, they spotted Red, think thatâs what triggered the alarm!â
âShit,â Pidge muttered. âWoulda been nice for you to wait a few minutes more before making your grand entrance, Lance!â
âHey, Red is a gigantic robot lion in the sky, thereâs only so much I can do to keep her from being noticed!â
âPaladins, please!â Allura said. âThis is not the time! Pidge, Shiro, get back to Green! Iâll escort Black around so Shiro can make the transfer. Hunk, youâre on defense, get to Lance and stave off any attacks. Coran, prepare the castle for me to return and make a wormhole for us.â
A chorus of ârightâs and ârogerâs sounded through the comms as everyone hastened to comply with the orders. Lance dove out of the way of another blast from the ship before sending one of his own back through Redâs open mouth.
âHey,â Keith said. âAs long as your coverâs been blown - â
âNot really a good time, Keith!â Lance shouted as he narrowly dodged another blast.
âBut we can use whateverâs in the cargo hold!â
âKeith, we donât have time,â Pidge said. âI donât know how long it will take to figure out the locking mechanism on the bay doors, and we canât - â
âThen forget the locking mechanism, you can get through the doors by force!â
âIf we wreck the doors or the cargo bay, weâll no doubt also destroy the cargo,â said Shiro.
âIf youâre careful about where you hit, there will be enough left intact to at least get something! Bring one of the Lions close enough, and - â
âEven if that is the case, theyâve got weapons mounted right outside the cargo bay,â Lance pointed out. âYou try to get into it, youâll get shot down easy.â
âNot if youâre fast and you dodge!â
âEnough!â Allura said firmly. âWeâre cutting our losses now, and thatâs that. This is not up for debate.â
Keith let out a growl of frustration, and Lance heard a thump in the comms before Coran said, âKeith, where are you - ?â He paused, then, âThink he left to cool down.â
âSounds like a good idea,â Shiro said. âWeâre at Green, boarding her now. Allura, ETA?â
âWithin the dobosh,â she answered.
âOn the bright side, least this wasnât a total wash,â Pidge said. âManaged to get those transport records opened up before the alarm sounded, so Iâve got coordinates on hand now.â
âThose coordinates certainly would have been more helpful if weâd been able to maintain stealth, but I suppose theyâre better than nothing,â Allura said. âWeâll have to - â She stopped as a beeping sounded over the comms, followed by a thoughtful âHmâ from Coran. âCoran?â she asked. âWhat was that?â
âErm, nothing, princess,â Coran answered.
âCoran - â
âAllura, weâve got visual on you and Black!â Shiro interrupted. âMoving in for transfer now.â
âRight, right,â Allura said.
âFeel free to hurry,â Lance said as Red sent another blast of flame toward the ship, âSooner we get that wormhole opened, the better.â
âWeâre all more than aware of that, Lance,â Allura said.
âHey, guys? Looks like they have reinforcement coming in,â Hunk said.
âQuiznak, youâre kidding me!â Allura said. âWhat are we looking at here?â
âJust a small cruiser on my six oâclock, but I donât know if more are intending to follow.â
âYou and Lance hurry and take care of them.â
âOn it,â Lance said, moving Red so that Yellow was blocking the ship from her before turning to face the new threat.
Just as he was preparing a beam, though, his comm crackled and Keithâs voice sounded into his ear. âWait, wait, donât shoot, thatâs me!â
âKeith?!â Lance cried. âYouâre their reinforcements?!â
âWha - no! This is one of the castleâs cruisers!â
âKeith,â Allura snapped. âWhat do you think youâre doing?!â
âSaving the stupid mission, whatâs it look like Iâm doing?â Keith shot back.
âYou were supposed to stay on the bridge with Coran!â
âWhoops,â Keith said drily. âGuess I forgot. Lance, on your eleven.â
âOn my - hey!â Lance yelped, veering Red away as Keith sped by mere inches from her port flank. âWatch where youâre flying!â
âI know what Iâm doing, Lance,â Keith growled.
âLike fuck you do,â Lance muttered as he turned to watch Keith speeding straight toward the ship. âHey dumbass, you do realize thatâs where the lasers are coming from, right?!â
âIâm aware,â Keith answered, dodging one even as they spoke, not letting up on his speed for a moment.
âIâm heading back toward the castle, wormhole to follow shortly,â Allura said. âWhat exactly are you - ?â
âI told you,â Keith said, âYou wanna get into that cargo bay, you gotta use force.â
âKeith, youâre gonna get shot down before you get within a mile of that cargo!â Lance shouted.
âNo, Iâm not!â
âYes, you - oh, for the love of - â He hastily turned Red to fire at the turret that had been aiming for Keithâs cruiser. âSee?! That thing just almost took you out!â
âBut it didnât!â
âYeah, and you got me to thank for that! Now would you just - â A crash echoed over the comms, and Lanceâs jaw dropped as Keith rammed diagonally right into the exterior cargo hold door, leaving a massive dent in its wake.
âKeith!â Shiro shouted. âStop that, youâre going to wind up hurt!â
âI already said I know what Iâm doing,â Keith said. He started making a wide turn away from the ship, getting back into position to start careening toward it again.
âI hope youâre aware that the castleâs healing pods arenât quite as good at healing corpses,â Allura said.
âNoted,â Keith replied, right before another crash, louder still than the one before it, and this time Keithâs cruiser managed to get through the cargo bay door, the tail end of the ship left sticking out of the vaguely cruiser-shaped hole in the metal.
â... Keith?â Shiro said. âKeith, come in! Keith!â
âOh my God, is Keith dead?!â Hunk squeaked out.
âIâm fine,â Keith groaned. âJust⊠just a little winded.â
âKeith, are you hurt?â Shiro asked.
âIâm disemarking for a moment.â
âThat doesnât answer my question!â
âHang on, thereâs - shit,â Keith spat. Blasts started coming through the comms, and when Lance squinted, he could see small flashes of light in the edges of the hole not currently blocked by the cruiser. âWhat the hellâs going on in there?â Lance asked.
âI donât think the cargo hold likes visitorsâŠâ Keith said.
âThen get the fuck out of there!â Pidge shouted. âGuess the locking mechanismâs not the only security on that cargo.â
âI know, Iâm going, Iâm going,â Keith said, and a few ticks later, the cruiser moved, backing out of the cargo door. A couple of small laser blasts followed him out, narrowly missing the cockpit.
As the cruiser made it out of the ship and started moving away, Lance kept half an eye on it. The vehicle didnât look to be in the same shape it had been before its crash - only natural, he supposed - and Keith was no longer flying nearly as smoothly as before. The cruiser kept slowing and speeding, and repeatedly lurched to the side before being pulled back onto its course.
âKeith, I donât think youâre shipâs in a good state to be in battle right now,â Shiro said over the comms before Lance could say anything. Seems he wasnât the only one who noticed the erratic flying.
âItâs nothing,â Keith replied. âJust some dents.â
âIt looks like a hell of a lot more than some dents. If you canât fly it - â
âI can fly it just fine, itâs just a little - â He broke off to let out a small cry as a shot from the Galra ship caught his starboard wing, leaving him spinning out for a few ticks before managing to find equilibrium again.
âJust some dents, huh?â Pidge asked.
Keith was silent for a moment before hesitantly replying, âI, uh⊠I might need some help.â
âIâve got him,â Lance said, resisting the urge to tear his eyes away from the battle long enough to roll them. âHunk, cover me.â
âRoger that,â Hunk said. Yellow made a wide turn to fly between Red and the Galra ship, and Lance sped to where Keithâs little cruiser floated to scoop him up into Redâs mouth.
âThanks,â Keith grunted.
âUh-huh,â said Lance. âNow, what have we learned today about crashing ourselves into bigger ships and expecting to fly off unscathed afterward?â
âThat youâre too chickenshit to try it?â Keith asked, his tone gratingly innocent. Lance scowled and grabbed a joystick on the dash to make Red shake her head back and forth. âHey!â Keith yelped. âWhat are you doing?!â
âSorry, Red had an itch,â Lance said.
âThe lions donât get itches.â
âAnd you would know that how, exactly?â
Keith went quiet, and Lance had to grimace to himself a little. Admittedly, that remark had been a bit of a low blow. He opened his mouth with the intent to say as much, but lost his trail of thought when the castleâs wormhole opened up in the sky before him.
âAll right team, moving out,â Shiro said, and Black led the way through the wormhole, Red and her catch bringing up the rear.
The universe around Lance went eerily quiet as it always did when they went through a wormhole, that sudden transition away from the noise of battle always leaving a ringing in his ears. The silence was soon relieved by a buzz of conversation on the comms, appraising what theyâd gotten from that mission and asking what was to be done next.
âKeith, are you going to need a pod?â Shiro asked as Lance neared Redâs hangar.
âUh, hard to say,â Keith replied. âThink my shipâs more banged up than me, to be honest.â
âWell, it wouldnât hurt to check just to make sure. Coran?â
âRight-oh, Number One,â Coran said. âIâll meet you boys in the hangar!â
âThanks,â Keith grunted right as Red touched down. Lance lowered Keithâs cruiser to the floor delicately, taking care not to jostle it as a silent apology for knocking him around earlier.
Keith was struggling out of the cruiser as Lance descended from Redâs jaw, and the latter let out a low whistle at the state of the smaller vehicle now that he could get a better look at it. A chunk of the starboard wing had been torn off from that blast it had taken, and the crash had left the forward bulkhead half caved in. âDamn,â Lance said, âIf this is what you consider âdentedâ, Iâd hate to see your idea of a wreck.â
âItâs⊠probably mostly cosmetic damage,â Keith said, and Lance turned to him. This was also first time getting a look at Keith, since their communication had been entirely over the comms rather than any video feed, and Lance raised his brow at the otherâs appearance. Keith had at some point outfitted himself in a thick, boxy armor and helmet, silvery-white save for pale blue accents on the joints and above the visor, a color scheme Lance recognized as that belonging to the old Altean military uniforms in the castleâs storage. Keith finished exiting the ship fully, pale face grimacing as he planted himself on the metal floor of the hangar. His left arm was tucked into his abdomen, his right arm wrapped around it, and he tilted as he found his footing.
Lance frowned. âYour ability to assess your shipâs damage doesnât give me much faith in your whole âI donât need a podâ thing.â Keith just sighed.
The door to Redâs hangar opened then with its electronic whir, and Coran marched in with an authoritative stride. âAll right, letâs see what the damage - good gracious!â he said as he approached and got a look at the ship. âThat looks like - â
âYeah, I know,â Keith said. âIâm sorry. It can be repaired though, right?â
âNothingâs ever beyond repair,â Coran replied. âBut it certainly wonât be a quick job.â He tutted as he stepped in to examine the ship more closely. âYouâve got Hunk and my work cut out for us, havenât you.â
âSorry,â Keith said again.
âWell, whatâs done is done.â He shook his head before turning back to Keith. âNow, boy, this shipâs not the only thing that took a beating, correct?â He gestured toward Keithâs abdomen. âCome now, let the Coranic have a look.â
Keith slowly moved his arm away, and Lance winced when the left hand came away covered in a splattering of scarlet. Coran pounced immediately, tutting away as he moved Keithâs arms aside and examined the injury himself, so Lance had to step around and crane his neck to see the blood seeping through a seam in the plackart.
âDear dear,â Coran said. âI assume this was from that little crash?â
âYeah, I guess,â Keith said. âKinda wound up thrown into some dented part of the shipâs dashboard. I, uh⊠there was a little, um, I felt a crack.â
âA rib may have broken through the skin,â Coran remarked. âLetâs see about getting this armor removed, yes?â
âIs everything all right?â a voice called. Lance looked up to see the others at the entrance to the hangar. Shiro was at the front of the group, making his way briskly toward them, and he hadnât even so much as removed his helmet before coming to check the damage, just having rolled up the visor instead. âKeith, are you okay?â
âIâm okay,â Keith answered as Shiro stepped in to hover over him at Keithâs side. The others, as they joined, hung back, giving Keith some space.
âOkay, my ass,â Shiro said. âYouâre bleeding.â
âWell, Iâve had worse,â Keith said. âItâs not like this is the first time Iâve ever crashed a ship.â He squeezed his eyes shut and sucked a breath between his teeth as Shiro carefully peeled the chestplate from him. âAnd this one wasnât even so bad. Yeah, I got thrown, but - but normally I hold up better than this, I swear.â
âWhere did you get that armor?â Allura asked, frowning at the chestplate.
âUh, in the armory?â
âWhy did you select this armor?â
âIt - it looked like it would fit? Why?â
âBecause, this is infantry armor,â Allura answered. âItâs no wonder you got hurt. This armorâs not designed to hold against the sort of impact that would come from a full-bodied high-speed collision.â She lifted her gaze from the armor to Keithâs face, eyes narrowed. âYouâre awfully lucky you werenât hurt worse.â
âGood,â Keith muttered. ââBout time I got some good luck.â He gasped as Shiro gently probed at the underarmor an inch above the spot where the skin had broken.
âDefinitely going to need a pod,â Shiro said grimly. âKeith, honestly, you gave us all a scare with that stunt of yours. If you want to go on missions with the team, you canât just - â
âHey, that stunt got us quintessence, didnât it?â Keith snapped.
The others paused, all holding still and staring at Keith in silence. âUm⊠what?â Shiro said.
âThe quintessence. Snatched some before whatever security was in the cargo hold started firing on me. Itâs in the cockpit.â
Immediately Allura turned and climbed onto the ship, clambering into the cockpit and stretching past the caved-in parts only to soon slide back out. Her eyes were wide as she gazed at the two clear tubes in her hand, each filled nearly to the top with a glowing, pale-yellow liquid.
âWell,â Shiro said softly. âIâll be damned.â
âYouâre welcome,â Keith said flatly.
Allura sighed. âKeith, regardless of whether or not you managed to - â
âSo sorry to interrupt, princess,â Coran said. âIâm in total agreement that Keithâs in need of a nice long lecture, but perhaps it ought to be saved until after heâs had his time in the pod? Shouldnât be more than a varga or two.â
âFine,â Allura said. âGet healed up, then we can discuss your⊠conduct. Iâll take charge of these in the meantime.â She gestured with a tilt of her head toward the vials of quintessence in her arms.
Keith nodded to her as Shiro slid his arm around Keithâs shoulders in preparation to walk him to the med bay. âCoran and I will get that taken care of,â Shiro said. âYou three, go ahead and wind down; we can debrief once Keithâs out of the pod.â
The others nodded, and the group made their way out of the hangar. Beyond the door, they separated, Allura off to the bridge, Shiro and Coran balancing Keith between them en route to the med bay, and the rest heading off to the living quarters.
âAll right, Iâm just gonna say it,â Lance said as soon as Keith was out of earshot. âAnyone else starting to think New Guy is kind of an asshole?â
âMaybe a little bit,â Pidge said with a shrug. âBut even you have to admit, he was pretty badass out there today.â
âBadasshole,â Hunk commented, and, at the looks the other two sent him, added, âSorry, continue.â
âIâm just saying,â Lance said. âHey, you guys donât think Allura and Shiro are actually going to let Keith start joining us on missions and stuff, do you? I mean, yeah, heâs all eager for it, and okay, sure, he can pilot, but after that crap he was pulling, canât imagine heâs much when it comes to, say, following orders and, oh, not almost killing himself.â
âHard to say,â Pidge replied. They turned the corner into the hallway housing their bedrooms. âGuess itâll be their call. If nothing else, having him along for missions will definitely make them, um⊠exciting.â
Lance rolled his eyes as he made his way to his own bedroom. âAnd isnât that just what Voltron needs,â he said drily as he opened the door. âMore excitement.â

Suspiria remake review from a shitty movie-goer
(this review is posted too late so excuse me for some timing inaccuracies I couldnât be arsed to edit)
(IF YOU HATE TL;DRS JUST SKIP AHEAD TO THE âTHE REVIEWâ PART. YOUâRE WELCOME)
I actually hate to admit why was I interested to watch this movie in the end, but for once SOMETHING motivated me to go to a movie after countless tries from my family to get me to watch something in theatres at a âreasonable timeâ (daytime is what they mean, this movie was at 8pm our time, and this is when the cross-city bus transport (it goes from one big city to another) stops doing their service lmao).
I myself have a lowkey interest in moviemaking (Iâm already getting there by editing my phone-recorded videos because whatever). I come up with my concepts in my head and I am mostly willing to put them down somewhere in my computer so I donât forget it years later if I want to make that concept a thing in the end (because none of my concepts are finalized... well except for one short horror-ish story I posted on DeviantArt (see mom, I do like some horror stuff!). Reddit as of lately inspired me to edit some of my movieâs plot-lines based on irl events (not related with anything too SJW), and Iâm not sure how an usual movie-goer would see this concept but I am going to try to execute it... whenever I have enough equipment to shoot my own little films or skits or whatever.
Whatâs that? There are people who scrolled past this and already yell at me that âYOU ONLY WENT TO SEE THIS MOVIE BECAUSE OF THE MAN WHO COMPOSED THE SOUNDTRACK~~~â? Ugh yes you exposed me, tea all over. I even had âStreet Spirit (Fade Out)â on a bit of a repeat as of lately (how fucking come I wasnât too couragerous to listen to this song before?? And âPyramid Songâ??? Man am I discovering their pearl(ie)s(*) too late). And Iâm occasionally on the bandâs subreddit as well. And the man himself is touring âround the USA, signing material of fans and have genuinely warm chats with them. Admireable.
But thatâs only half truth.
I never thought Iâd see Suspiria on cinema theatres in here. Until one time when I saw an ad on a completely random Lithuanian website that said this movie is coming to our theatres 14 December... I couldnât quite believe my eyes. I made my goal to see Suspiria since then. I even dared to ask a couple of my new college âfriendsâ to see it with me, but one of them fell off the deal when I revealed that Iâll be going to see it on Saturday, and on the weekends heâs usually at home, far away from the city the college is in (he lives in college dormitory on mostly the work-weekdays). So my only movie companion ended up to be this 28-year-old coursemate (actually we both study different things but sometimes we attend some of the same lectures) who was intrigued by the Suspiria trailer herself so at least Iâm gonna have her by my side of the movie, so I thought. Sweet.
I already envisioned seeing this in a mall cinema theatre but my companion offered me a cheaper alternative - her suggested cinema theatre was actually in renovation so the business is temporarily happening inside an actual drama theatreâs long theatre hall. I had to wait long until the ticket box opened and because of that I was lowkey frustrated as I finished my English test writing a little earlier, so I spent my time walking around the city until the time came and I wandered off to the old building of the cinema so then I remembered it was moved and I found the moved place. Yeah I bought the tickets before my companion could but Iâll skip ahead to the time that I almost lost the tickets because they were put down on a windowsill outside some children activity centre (Suspiria and children?? lol). I came back home late at night and was ready for the movie to happen the next day. Oh and before buying the tickets I coincidentally saw dance classes going on nearby that building... weird, as Suspiria has dance elements in there
The day came (December 15) and my family went together with me because they saw this as an opportunity to see the Christmas tree of our city (but not the movie). Needless to say, they were still visibly pissed at me orchestrating this idea, as I planned everything BUT the transport to go by. Well at least my mom and my sis. Dad was cool with it as he returned home to watch Home Alone. Aside all that, the cinema hall was cozy, Christmassy, not too small, there were a few trailers before the movie, no snack-seller places (as this is not a mall lol) - my companion was glad she wasn't at the mall as she found this place where we were at way lovelier.
Now with all that unnecessary long intro off my chest, letâs begin:
THE REVIEW
(definitely not spoiler-free, if you are sensitive to spoilers please watch the movie for yourselves before reading my review. But if you like being spoiled, Iâm your friend then I guess lmao)
The intro to the movie felt like I ended up booking a wrong movie - I didn't expect that to be set somewhere in Germany, especially an American/Italian-shot one. Was that a thing in the original Suspiria? I don't know... (apparently it is, but the cities are different, never the country though)
Patricia (I didnât know it was ChloĂ« Graceâs role until reading the Wiki) looked like to be a really big deal here, with the dance pupils discussing her disappearance the other day and Susie overheard them, then Sara mentioned the Patricia thing to Susie after Susie revealed she was kind of chosen as the lead dancer for the Volk play... is it because Patricia was THE saviour that unfortunately knew a little too much?? Idk, itâs perhaps the reason we get to see the Klemperer guy subplot happen (I didnât know it was Tilda Swinton behind him all the time either, must be because the way the male German accent was put on her lol). Turned out she was captured and kept under some dungeon where Sara had gone later in the movie, but looking like an almost melted and grotesquely old human being (or if Maryâs mother from âChocolate with Nutsâ was a person). Speaking of which, there is one more later in the movie, but I wonât tell just yet - we will need to get into such scenes discussion first.
Interesting deaths here, despite of them being grotesque and horrifically detailed. It almost felt like Susie, whilst doing her first dance as the probable lead dancer, temporarily turned into Olgaâs voodoo doll or a violent bloodbender (that old lady from Avatar that could bloodbend was incredibly uncanny, damn) and left Olga completely fucked up, and the foam mouth later on... is this the effect myxomatosis has on a human being if it was ever humanly? She was twitching and salivating afterall. :P But no, sheâs not dead until she gets to plead her death later in the movie! :O Several others occur throughout, but none is more prominent than this key scene I described, well at least according to TV Tropes.
The search for the evil person in this movie without Wiki helping me much was definitely a nice game for me to play. I kept thinking that Blanc might be that one, then I thought sheâs not the one until she looked at Carolina (I think that was the tall tomboyâs name??) suspiciously and then she later passed out on the floor violently, with rabies foam and everything.
Anyway, donât tell me Tilda Swinton wouldnât make out a pretty good Thom Yorke post-Pablo Honey. Sheâs 8 years older than him, ffs! Also played a man before (e.g.: this movie Iâm talking about) so the make up wonât be an unjumpable-over hurdle.
The sighs were for sure unsettling, especially because they oddly sounded like orgasm here and there. IDK why. I know fucking is referenced twice in this movie (well only fucking once and sex another time). Speaking of random things, the nightmare shots were completely random themselves, following up with some imagery we never see in the movie again, and some of that we see only a little (like the worms and bloody organs).
3 long scenes that were note-worthy for me. One is the Olga mutilation/Susie's first dancing scene that I already noted, and it was driven by music (the others will be too. Soundtrack of this movie still rules). Then there's the Volk play itself - girls go from one place to another, take poses of each other, dance individually, let their minimalistic red rope dresses flick in the air, interspersed with Sara in the underneath area and her broken leg (so broken, the bone went out of her skin!), and then the matriarchy getting her back on stage, but healing her leg with her witch powers before that. I haven't really listened to the rest of the soundtrack but I gotta check the song out so that I won't end up labeling it as a Kid A reject. No but seriously - intense dancing needed some intense drumming and painful instrument sounds just to project out the massiveness of the whole play.
Then I keep remembering the scene where Madame Blanc commands Susie to jump higher and higher in the mirror hall, up until she jumps as highest as possible. Also my companionâs favourite scene was the stare exchange between these two ladies during the part where people were singing some drinking song in a bar to celebrate âVolkââs success - you hear them singing and then some chilling background noise slowly mixing and creeping its way into the atmosphere, then I think it leads into a scene where some sparkling aura entity wakes Susie up (and sheâs nude) in the middle of the night and gets her to go down to this... dungeon orgy full of random stuff going on, complete with an Asian man doing something beyond explanation (I could say lewd but not quite), even more strange ritual dancing and the very much frightening Madame Helga... who looked like Jabba the Hutt for some reason. And then of course everyone slitting, slashing and twisting each other, and by the end Susie throwing us all a plot twist which makes her THE evil one who can finally let her âfriendsâ go of all that suffering they have been through thanks to the damn witches (and yeah apparently her dance friends havenât completely died? THATâS how they do - they tell Susie to end their suffering and she does). Also she cracks her chest open to reveal a... very graphic part of a female body that will by no doubt get this whole text review reported without consent so I refrain from any illustrations. Oh and this scene mostly has the possibly favourite this movieâs soundtrack song of mine, if not one of them, play - titled Unmade. It was a mind-boggling decision to do so but the movie editors do them I suppose, but still. I felt sad for the song having to be the background of such absurd but fair enough events? (Oh and I didnât mention that everyone who voted for the other woman than Madame Blanc to be the leader of the witches (iirc) were rid of in this movie. Damn.)
Oh and the ending is rather an interesting detail, not talking about post-credits because as always I have to be this one movie goer who wants to do it but canât because theyâre urged to go back out of the movie theater. We turn into modern day Germany with a love heart carved on a brick wall with the letters A and L (perhaps?? at the time of finishing this review my memory towards it kind of erased some parts of the movie for me), a nice little remembrance of Lutzâs (the old manâs) love for his dear Anke, with which they have reunited during the movie, but Lutz was dragged out by some people related to the dance academy for probably wandering elsewhere than needed and somehow Lutz ended up as one of the sex dungeon victims, stripped of clothing and lying down quite powerless. That and before the modern day shot we are subjected with Lutz in hospital with Susie coming to visit, they discuss something related to the plot, Susie touches the guy speaks some more, leaves and according to the Wiki, Lutz âsuffers from a violent seizureâ that was nothing more than just a hard seizure. And it even erases his memories!
Anyway, as a whole, I felt more underwhelmed of this movieâs experience despite really wanting to see it. Like, âuhm yeah gore blood people getting slashed everyoneâs a witch and everyoneâs watched over by the witch and if you expose the witches you dieâ kind of underwhelmed. I didnât want this movie to blatantly go through my head, but it did, thatâs why I wanted to make notes everytime something notable happens. There was one startling moment, and it just was an innocent scene transition. And something within Olgaâs mutilation scene made me chuckle (and made some other people leave the cinema hall ASAP). Itâs more of a disgusting watch than scary. Also feels too dragged out in parts.
Iâd only recommend it if you are gore-tolerant (there are people that canât stand looking at blood so this might as well not be for you, especially if youâre younger than 16), like intense choreos that can impact other people literally, and... the soundtrack. Yes of course. If you dare to get through the movie with feeling its soundtrack, sometimes you might as well feel it right, but some of the soundtrack song usages might as well make you go âhmmâ as much as me.
I'll remind myself to never watch a movie in theaters for soundtrack again (unless they're not THAT late). And the other 'trilogy of the three witches' movie remakes, especially if they come out at the time I haven't moved houses by now, because for sure as hell will my parents not like me going to cinema late once more. The movie is lowkey 7 out of 10 for me, can sometimes it's on the verge of falling down to 6 becaude of no completely proper comprehension of some directing choices... so 6.7/10 is good - as it still has 6 in it, but totally leans on to the 7.
Will probably watch it again. I need to remember some more of this movie sometime later. And looking for online uploads of this movie is unrecommendable - I'll wait until Lionsgate distributes it to America for wider audiences so that anything could surface 2 months (or even a few days) later from now. Though if I didn't need all that, I'd definitely not watch it again for a long time... unfortunately I want to.
Post movie feelings: my companion liked the movie, initially said to never watch it again but now wants to watch it again because it was so "wtf" she felt like re-experiencing it at some point. She liked the music (another bonus point for Yorke). She wished she could film the reactions of other people who watched this, as they mostly were confused, all being like "wtf did I just watch???". I'm already feeling bad for the 3rd companion who didn't join us but would also like to watch this - heâll likely be one of those confused movie-goers.

real talk: movie reviews
Your review/opinion of a movie is complete worthless shit if you dont base it off its intent and needlessly compare it to other things.
a comedy is suppose to be funny, a drama is suppose to be dramatic. If you were to talk about how Jaws wasnt funny enough and gave your kids nightmares cus it was to scary, as a criticism of a movie your review would be stupid, yes?
You have to go into a story, a movie or a series with sincerity. If you are going in thinking âi hope this isnt as bad as i think its going to beâ or w/e then you are going in with prejudice. Its not the producers or actors or writers fault if you dont WANT to enjoy the movie, its YOUR fault.
âit had bad actingâ ...well....no probably not. You probably mean the Acting was to campy, or the acting wasnt realistic enough, or the acting didnt convey what i think was meant to be conveyed. There are multiple forms of acting. If you want every great historically awesome groundbreaking movie that was filmed in the 20th century they ALL have horrible acting. Except they arent. Thats what acting was like back then. I am not a fan of older movies because they are heavily dialogue based. They focus on monologues and banter and i find the whole thing very boring. But iâm not an fucking idiot, and so i recognize that its a Different Style and dont go around bad mouthing it.
âits plot was obviousâ...well was it suppose to be? I mean people say there are no orginal stories. it doesnt matter WHAT happens but Why. the devil is in the details. I mean if you told me that Dumbledor dies that ...wouldnt be a problem because I dont know WHY he dies, HOW he dies, WHO kills him , WHEn he dies and all the information surrounding that event. Like if the movie is a Jurassic film you know its going to go wrong...thats a given. you might as well insult a horror movie for being scary. Thats just....like...reality. Movies about a lack of conflict arent entertaining. You need conflict. So the movie is about when things go wrong. In order for this to be a valid criticism youâd have to explain why the simple plot is a bad thing
âthe villains were obviousâ...most villains are. Like we literally have one in the white house right now. If your point is that people would stop obviously villainous people right away youâd be wrong. if your point is people would have a problem working with villains youâd be wrong. We literally have businessmen in real life saying that poor people deserve to die, so how does a fictional villain saying that heâs going to sell a dinosaur to some mafia guys like any different?
âdexu ex machinaâ first of all i dont think that word means what you think it means. its a reference to the machine of the gods, meaning the moments in plays when the plot could not be resolved so they had the gods come in and fix everything. It does NOT mean âthe heroes got spared because an event out of their control changed the situationâ. heck thats often how the conflict starts in the first place.
and again one has to consider the GENRE and intent of the movie.
Like i love all the Jurassic movies...because they are good and fun. Thats just how they are. They have philisophical debates, they have intercharacter conflict (romance or divorces) that leads to cute banter. They have things going horribly out of control. they have contrived coincedences that are fun or funny.
They have heroes barely escaping horrible situations through nothing but luck. Like thats whats fun about it! If you dont like it thats fine but to Insult something just cus you dont like it is idiotic and shows how unprofessional you are.
I HATE coffee but i dont insult it or people who like it
Like in preparation for the next movie i watched jurassic world again and was reminded of all the fun i had.
The horrific Irony of corporate scientiests saying things like âit ate its sisterâ and that look where you can see they are desperately trying to ignore that big warning sign cus they are trying to be optimistic.
the shot with the dinosaur foot thats actuallly a ravenâs foot that plays with audiences expectations of a dramatic scene change of violence âoh but its actually something harmlessâ that is common in these movies (theyâve had one for ever movie) while also lampshading the fact that birds are related to dinosaurs. Thats some top notch movieing
the silly divorce plotline that brought humanity to the cast, that kinda showed that the people who end up in horrible situations are people just trying to deal with their things. Not to mention how its almost always tied to the plot? Like how in Jurassic 3 them trying to save their child helped the mother and father heal their relationship, How the brothers attempts to overcome his shittyness because his brother is worried about the divorce leads him to do something dangerous that almost gets them killed
The silly situations and black comedy like in Jurassic 2 where the guy gets eaten in front of hte blockbuster and you hear his comedic âUg, uuuggkâ like the slowly dying version of the Wilhelm scream. In jurassic world you had the cute comedy of the frustrated Tourguide person âguys i just work hereâ and the pteredon stopping right before it would have impaled one of the heroes. The indominous being indignant at the weird things screaming at it so it screams at them back because sheâs a petulant child.
And like people give it to much shit and it usually means the critic is being an idiot about it. Like it wasnt Clair it was Masrani who wanted send in the soldiers with non lethals. Ppl want to talk about the light measures they took but the whole problem wasnt caused by the park but by a rogue scientist creating military grade upgrades without the company knowing about it. Ppl want to talk about how unrealistic the dinosaurs are but they arent dinosaurs? its even discussed within the movie that they are hybrid abominations made to look like what people think dinosaurs are.
and that moment where the nerd guy tries to like ...be all heroic âsomeone has to stayâ to impress his girl coworker to only find out that sheâs not that impressed, has a boyfriend and that heâs projecting this romance on their relationship where there is none and gets shot down, is like the single greatest moment in cinematic history, i loved it!
(though Claire utilizing her unique position as the person in charge to risk her  life to use the parks oldest and most iconic asset in order to kill the indominous is a close second).
Like...we get it. You are pretentious and mean and get off on telling other people how things are terrible..
but if you dont mind we are going to be over here having fun? and we are going to keep getting Fun quirky movies about unrealistic dinosaurs and contrived coincedences and campy villians and shitty love stories that take place in the background and these type of movies are going to exist forever because they are FUN
And if you dont like it, die mad about it
