I'll answer this for my DnD character Sora because these fit her REALLY well slkjf. She's my airbender from the ATLA campaign my best friend runs! The campaign takes place about 5 years after the end of the series, and our party has been helping the gaang clean up the messes left of the 100 year war.

Sora had to hide her airbending growing up while the Fire Nation was still in power, so she's only recently started learning how to airbend and hasn't reached Master status to get her arrows yet, but she desperately yearns for a time when the world has healed enough its safe for her to publicly wear those symbols of her culture. I've had a neat idea though where she starts getting other tattoos to symbolize things she's done and places she's been, and they all leave a negative space for the arrows to be placed one day - displaying their absence in a way. In the game she hasn't officially gotten any yet, because any identifying marks could still be dangerous, but my list includes

a little glider with blowing autumn leaves because she first learned how to fly in the fall season

the swirling airbender symbol stylized into tornado storm clouds to represent her family

a stylized pyramid to represent her home in Omashu

the constellation of Shishi, her spirit

She'd probably get a bunch of these to cover scars too slkjdf

Sora is the embodiment of "curiosity killed the cat", partially because I've OOC figured out our DM's plot and try not to meta-game tooooo much. She's pretty open minded to learning about other cultures, including fire nation culture because her best friend is a firebender who resisted the war, and also because she's haunted by spirits, so she's pretty intuitive in general. That being said she's inhumanly stubborn when facing enemies she's far too underleveled to handle and will not compromise on her beliefs slfkjflskdfj

💘 HEART WITH ARROW — what and/or who do(es) your oc consider the most important to them?

Her party is the most important thing. She's only known Seraphine and Suliyos and Cab for a couple of months at this point, but they've been through so many literal ride-or-die situations together. We've also made friends with the crew of a ship called the Harrowways and so Sora cares about keeping them safe. After them, her top priority is finding her lost/captured/absent airbender father and trying to help Aang who she kind of idolizes. Unfortunetly her mom and sister back in Omashu are kind of "out of sight out of mind" at this point, but I think our DM has terrible things in store for them too so it's only a matter of time!

Ari would simultaneously like and be on guard around Ren. They both work(ed) with the Order, but Ari never felt particularly at home there, and besides, she knows that secrets are kinda the norm with spies. At the same time, she can relate to Ren in a lot of ways. On Ari's end, at least, it'd take a *while*, but she'd vibe with them being at least casual friends eventually if Ren was okay with that, too.

in canon in the ~year and a half they’re apart? they yearn.  they deny it, 100%, but there is yearning. after they get to catalina? uh. their jobs? they’ll think about each other, but it takes a while for abby to be up for longer away missions, and even then, she makes sure she doesn’t go on the longer runs.

one headcanon about this OTP that breaks your heart

i mean, abby’s the one who decides that rosie isn’t going to go back to seattle with them - rosie’s not that badly injured, it’s something that’d slow them down but overall wouldn’t impact the group too much. she’s just - emotional. between rosie stopping her and seeing joel - a lot’s goin’ on. rosie - she gets why she was left. but she’s absolutely terrified of meeting abby again.
