FUNNY ASS THING HAPPENED TO ME

so the other day i friended someone on smit bc we talked after a match was done and i was being encouraging about their gameplay on a god they were learning and they were like you're so nice :) do you wanna play more and so we friended each other and hopped in a party yk regular stuff

TODAY, i hop on smite and get an invite again alright cool we play our game

they start complaining about the jungler who is "selling their lane" and being bad and fucking them over or whatever, alright sure

and then they start doing like. TEXTBOOX TOXICITY right. like doing the keyboard commands "You Rock! Cancel That!", spam pinging her on the map, just some real obnoxious shit, and then to another teammate too like "zzz" and shit, getting in arguments with them. and clearly looking to me for sympathy or whatever

and im just like silent for most of it like. you approached me saying i was nice and now its like what. you only want me to be nice to you? yeah no. if youre being a dick im not gonna condone it idc

so at some point after i like, basically turn a fight from a loss to a tie by myself and die im like OH MY GOD SHUT UP YOU GUYS STOP ARGUING AND PLAY THE GAME ITS NOT GONNA DO ANYTHING in all caps

which, actually does work. they stop arguing (though my friend still like throws out some jabs a bit until suspiciously due to my character being a late game one and coming online we start winning the game...) and then we fight together and we win and its good and yeah

and after the game its like. my party member comes to me like obvs still lookin for sympathy and kinda peeved that i scolded them (seemingly forgetting i was scolding the other people who were arguing too) meanwhile ive just typed out like i know you were mad and stuff but it's kind of toxic of you to spam sm1 like that for being bad

and THEN we get into a whole thing about that because theyre like so offended by this like "but she was selling my lane" and "its easy to get on your high horse and say dont be toxic when youre not the one having your lane sold" and "i think you need perspective" and "if anything you were being kind of toxic because you used all caps and told us to shut up, using all caps is kind of toxic" and "youre gaslighting me" (i said smth like, youre joking with me. youre yanking my chain and apparently thinking im being trolled and asking to confirm that is gaslighting now. i mean thats a trolly thing to say right i was like genuinely in disbelief that these were real reactions and i still kind of have doubts tbh)

so anyway im not willing to put anymore time into talking to someone who cannot own up to doing something obnoxious and slightly shitty in any regard so im like good luck with your meeting, bye and then i block them on both the accs they friended me on

i feel like this story suffers from the same issue TSE has, where by straying from the games canon you’ve actually made things so much more complicated? while some things definitely made sense (vanessa being williams daughter was a nice touch and made sense for both characters fight me, also a great nod to how shes mind controlled in game canon) others feel like they just made things more complicated? like, why was garrett just a random kid in a random campsite? why was william there, why did he kill him, why do the ghost kids know him? i guess you could say, if there is a reason, it will be revealed in a later movie? but thats so many unnecessary steps when all you had to do was have garret go missing from a freddys location (like in TSE). like, mikes brothers disappearance is linked to freddys, thats why he needs to work there, you could save a lot of time aunt jane ate up. speaking of.

its such a hilarious plot hole that they just totally move past aunt janes death. like this guy is fighting tooth and nail for custody of his sister against his aunt and she shows up dead at his house and nobody is suspicious or cares. also he shows up at the hospital with a stabbed cop who’s apparently in a coma and cant verify his story at all?? the plot armor on this man!!

i realize they needed to put abby in danger at some point or else why would she even be here, but having the ghost kids want to ghostify her doesnt make a whole lotta sense >_> like they kept saying william was confusing them but they never really showed that, golden freddys spirit kid seemed pretty aware of the situation the entire time.

that one jumpscare with the kid with black goopy eyes was pretty silly lmao. feel like they could have captured the creepypasta vibe better

this is semi positive and negative, but i really really liked vanessa’s creepiness i just wish theyd leaned into it a bit more? that scene where shes staring lovingly up at the animatronics and then asks mike to dance is just so 👌 like girl what is wrong with you fr 🥰 but then her behaviors dont make much sense after that, i was a bit confused as to when she was supposed to be trying to get mike to stay and when she was supposed to be warning him away.

the writing in general was definitely a bit weird ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ eh

sorry if my negatives seem like bummers, but i really enjoy picking apart movies i like, and i tend to like things more when there is stuff to pick apart! assuming every creative project or series of strange posts must either be an ARG or assuming they have the right to apply mental illnesses or similar descriptors to creators by picking apart their works and using that as permission to analyze the creator themselves as people

i've heard three of them use the word "incomprehensible" as a descriptor for things they had JUST described in perfectly fine detail making them, actually, very comprehensible

Couples' Synopsis 🗯: Brett (yes her name is Brett) is a more liberal pop-chic, glamour, outgoing type of woman. Ryan is conservative, country music, outdoorsy, camo hunter, introverted guy. So far up to episode 11, they arent really into each other but they get along okay. You can tell that there isnt much of a spark, yet they still participate in activites. First day of the wedding, they were like oil and water as Brett felt uncomfortable with Ryan's lifestyle and views as she grew up in a more socially relaxed upbringing. Ryan is more quiet and soft spoken so although he peeps things he doesn't say much. Brett leads most of their activities together and although she is aware of their differences she's modest and optimistic about it. They dont argue theyve just sorta accepted how different they are and casually press on. They look more like coworkers that dont talk much. Ryan has gone on to say that he doesnt feel a connection with Brett and so he doesnt put in much effort toward the relationship. I created a poll amongst fans asking if they think Ryan's lack of connection is valid OR should he try more to make it work as Brett does? The results were 55% with 75 participants leaning towards them just not being a good fit. I agree in that regard.

Below is an example I give for basic synastry clients. One thing astrology doesnt account for is having a connection, as 2 people can be completely incompatible yet still crave each other in a love/lust way. Ive also seen couples that had highly compatible charts but they werent interested in each other. However, despite lacking a natural bond, theyre more likely to come to appreciate one another over time due to how naturally smooth things are. I’m most likely going to get attacked for saying this, but please take this as constructive criticism. I really honestly feel like you guys would benefit immensely by actually going through the material you claim to be analyzing yourselves as opposed to reading an outline from someone else and going off of opinions on Tumblr. You’d find that there are a lot of people who either straight up get facts wrong because they aren’t reading things properly (i.e: There is no animal abuse whatsoever in Judgement, it is clearly stated that the dogs were not real, they metaphors and Nadia simply dismissed them, or that there is cannibalism when what they are talking about is demons eating a soul lol.) OR they too haven’t gone through the material and are simply going off of the opinions/bad summaries of said people with poor reading skills. I notice that you yourselves are getting some major plot points wrong.(edited) I find it very important that if you are all going to be talking about extremely important issues such like racism in a game (which in and of itself is fine and understandable) that you all actually personally and thoroughly examine every bit the material you wish to pick apart, otherwise it is extremely hard to take you seriously. Go through, read, cite, and judge things fairly. You will be all the more credible when there actually -is- something that needs to be addressed, otherwise you’re going about things in the same vain as Fox News. There’s a reason why you aren’t allowed to use Sparknotes to write an analytical paper on a work of fiction in college. Also, when you are basing your analysis off of the general consensus on Tumblr, don’t merely focus on the thoughts and opinions that you like to see. I can safely say that there is a good chunk of people who feel like the Reverse endings did uphold their promise to wrap things up on a bittersweet note. And perhaps keep things mature and on topic. The CG’s looking off or ugly has nothing to do with sexism or racism and harping on insignificant details like that just looks petty. Nor should you mock/verbally assault people who oppose you. The things that you are trying to stand up for will stand out way more and appear more valid that way.

neil josten: favorite/most iconic line?

first one that comes to mind I’m not sure is a favorite or iconic line? but it’s a line i think about a lot and it always hurts to read. it’s when they're at the cabin in TKM. 

“He didn’t care how much it hurt so long as he could pull Andrew closer, and he let Andrew take him apart until he couldn’t think anymore.”

that comes at the very end of Chapter 14 and gosh just the paragraph that line comes from and the paragraph before…. the fact neil thinks andrew doesnt care about him the way he cares/feels about andrew is like….. CMON MAN but also i just love the pining angst of it. i like this line especially because the line right before it mentions neil working his “bandaged fingers into Andrew’s hair”. so the “he didnt care how much it hurt” to me always carried a double meaning of 1. the physical pain he felt bc of his injuries but also 2. the pain of unfamiliarity abt his feelings towards andrew and thinking it was unreciprocal AND THAT HED HAVE TO “WARN” ANDREW like the implication.. of neil thinking abt their “relationship” possibly ending bc andrew doesnt feel the same and maybe wouldnt want to be entangled in whatever neil was feeling …… IM LIKE neil knows andrew so well and him being so sure abt this but hes like …. nathaniel wesninski: one thing you would change about the books? (plot, characters, etc)

there is very little id change about the books if at all. mainly bc while i know there are upsetting things that happen/the charas do, i think all of those things make the series really interesting to analyze and talk about. i will say a moment i hated was when neil touches andrews scars when andrew makes it clear he doesn't want neil to pry about them. i know neil offers his scars in turn when he's trying to convince andrew to let neil look over kevin but that was controlled. he let andrew touch them and find out about them of his own volition. neil touches something directly related to the trauma andrew had just experienced again when he had 0 permission to do so. while i always get mad at neil for this when i read it i still dont think id change it or get rid of it. im not really sure how id change it anyways and i think andrews relationship with his scars (and himself in general) is probably what allows him to brush it off(?)/never bring this up (plus maybe neil offering his scars was enough for andrew) but i havent thought too hard about this. but ya i remember i got rlly angry w neil the first time i read this scene and i still get mad abt it when i reread.

oh i think dealer! in sports i liked being able to do both defense and offense bc it made me feel i had more control over the field, like i could always do something if there were any holes

neil in baltimore for sure… neil at evermore i can't remember what i felt the first time i read it (maybe pain LOL bc he was doing it for andrew and i felt like riko wouldnt keep his promise) but in my latest reread i was unimpressed by it (mostly bc i think riko is boring and unimpressive). i think i mightve said evermore in the past though….. maybe... neil in baltimore is like … GOD neils emotions are so strong during all of that its really juicy haha. i think like him being angry bc he was on the cusp of having everything he couldve ever dreamed of; the desperation of wanting to fight back and get away; even just the fear of being in the same room as his father for the first time in so long... all really juicy

actually something i recently thought abt was neil and photography. iirc? andrew gives neil a camera in the ec and i also imagine kevin eventually gets another camera too (i loved that detail when we saw his room at the nest) so i thought abt neil and kevin sharing/trading pics they take of (mainly) scenery. i imagine neil takes pics of anything he wants to remember/keep while kevin is more prone to taking pics of subjects related to some nerd history stuff (lol) so thats why they trade scenery pics mainly. but i like this small connection bc i want more to their relationship than their exy obsession and i imagine they have room for more now that riko is gone and i just like this other commonality btwn them. i think maybe they mail the developed pics to each other maybe w small descripts/notes but thats it. and i also imagine it kind of just is something that started happening.. neil and andrew r on a roadtrip and some building reminds neil of kevin so he snaps a pic and eventually sends it to kevin w some note. kevin replies 1. either a text being like that is nothing. > neil: shrugs brushes it off but figures he is welcome to send more when kevin sends his own picture back or 2. kevin simply replies back similarly w his own photo. i dont know.. maybe this goes beyond what their actual relationship would be like but i do like the idea of them just bein like… dude friends u know so i want them to have more than just exy and a traumatizing experience between them. 

as for common headcanons within the fanbase…. i do like the allison + neil haircuts thing.. although im not sure if i imagine it the same as most haha i feel neil would know how to cut his own hair from his life on the run (though theyre not Good or bad just like ok u know like passable generic w/e) i think hed definitely be tense the first couple times but he has experience w allison being close from needing to be covered up w make up after winter break so i think she would be allowed.
