modern academic au where viktor just can't get his peace and quiet in the library. Because every time he tries to study, there's this damned himbo that trails him around asking him what he's researching with a big goofy smile. It's always "do you want me to carry your books" and "oh I haven't read that one yet, is it good," and so on and so forth. And in his mind, it's like "just because I'm using a cain doesn't mean I need your help, and yeah of course you haven't read it, you're probably in with some sports scholarship or whatever" but he never voices it. He's the headmaster's portage and he can't go around being rude to random people in the library. Plus, it's not like the other man stays too long, he goes to classes and secludes himself to study as well.

Around exam season, the man stopped hanging off his arm so much, they didn't cross paths in the library or in the halls, but once or twice, Viktor would see him with books about physics, electronics and other things Viktor had been researching before. He never approached him, but he was a bit amused at the seriousness in his expression while he was scribbling something in his notebooks.

If the man WAS on a sports scholarship, perhaps he was reading those books to find a way to talk to Viktor more and in all honesty, it would have been the most someone had done to get to flirt with him, so what if he thought it was a little sweet... it wasn't as if he would expect though. No. His studies were far too important to be put on the back burner for a guy who thought a bone crushing hug (that usually lasts too long for it to be just friendly) was an adequate way to greet an acquaintance.

One day, Viktor found a notebook with research that could be groundbreaking one day. It was past closing hours for the academy, but he had keys so he was left to read all the notes throughout the whole night and even into the day. The neat handwriting, the diagrams, the brilliant ideas... whoever this person was, he was flowing in potential. And when Viktor turned each page he couldn't help but smile to himself, how silly and a bit narcissistic, to sign your name on each of them. Jayce Talis, Jayce Talis, Jace Talis, Jayce Talis, each page, just Jayce Talis, Jayce-

"Hey!"

A familiar voice called for him. Out of breath and disheveled, stood the man who had been trailing him around.

"Oh, I'm so glad I found it- I mean you-" He sagged with relief. But when his eyes flickered from the notes to Viktor and back, he seemed to get a bit sheepish. "I thought I lost them." A whisper to himself before he snapped his eyes back to Viktor. "Ah, uh... you read all of them?"

And there he was, flirting with the same lame excuse, Viktor thought.

"Yes," he decided to humour him a bit. Closing the book and pulling it away from the other. "I was hoping to return it to it's owner, maybe discuss some of the ideas in it."

The man didn't seem to take the hint as he sat across from him with a small smile. "Yeah? So you don't think it's an obnoxious or ridiculous idea?"

"Ridiculous? Perhaps a bit, but it is not obnoxious to want natural resources of this quantity to produce -" He stopped himself, this random guy didn't need to hear it. "Nevermind, you don't need to hear that." Viktor was ready to stand up until he felt a hand reach for his to make him stay.

"No, no! I really want to hear it! Every professor I've tried showing my research to has told me I'm being unrealistic. But I think that with enough time, and effort, it's possible!" His face was glowing. "I mean as far as energy sources go, this could save much for both the people and companies. See- " grabbed one of the notebooks and started flipping through it, "right here, I tried to make a model of-"

"Jayce?" Viktor asked in disbelief.

The other man looked up at him with that dumb smile again. "Yes?"

"Jayce Talis...?"

Jayce tilted his head in question. "Yes?" He asked with more hesitance.

"You are Jayce Talis?" Viktor lifted up the notebook, pointing at the place where the name was signed.

"Did I not introduce myself the first time we met?"

"No!"

Jayce laughed a little awkward chuckle and it made Viktor's chest constrict. With anger, probably...

"Well, I'm sorry, um. My name is Jayce." He reached his hand out for a shake. "Nice to meet you."

"Viktor." He took it. "Likewise." And he found himself meaning it.

Jayvik Tickle Headcanons

Oh lord here we go fellas. I’m writing these to get them out of my system, and also so I can use them in my own fic writing.

I’ll be doing Jayce and Viktor alone and then combined headcanons because it’s more fun that way. I’ll also be referring to them tickling/being tickled by an SO/Reader just because I write Reader fics but anything in here can also just be between both of them as well.

Since I’ve written for them previously, I’m also tossing around the idea to make a headcanon list for Silco and Vander as well. If you’re interested, lemme know and I’ll see what I can make.

I haven’t really proofread these in depth as I feel like that brings more of that headcanon list charm to this (and also I’ve had a massive headache I’ve been trying to will away all day) so hopefully this isn’t too sloppy.

Big big BIG on physical touch in general so he loves tickling others and being tickled himself

With Viktor he’s gentle (unless V is being a little shit) but with others he brings a big brother energy to it*

*When I was rewatching S1 I just knew he would use tickling to mess with Cait. And in Act 1 because she’s a lot smaller than he is, she wouldn’t have much of a way to retaliate

HOWEVER IN ACT 2. When Jayce sneaks out of the crowd to flick Cait’s enforcer hat just to mess with her and she locked his arm so quick. Now that she’s older and stronger he would definitely be on the receiving end of her wrath. Just an idea I had to put out there lol

He’s very open to just. Straight up asking for tickles lol. Sometimes he can’t quite get the word out though. But if he’s with someone who knows him well enough, they’ll get the hint

His belly is ticklish, and I think his arms would be weirdly enough. And his back too definitely

Jayce asks for tickles when he’s particularly stressed out. He likes it when his hair is played with or if someone is just caressing his face

He doesn’t try to hide his laughter, just lets it all out. His laugh is quite bright, lights up the room

He can be an absolute menace when he wants to be

He’ll hide something that a person is looking for and plays dumb, “Huh? I don’t know what you’re talking about” all nonchalant. But then he ‘regrets’ it once they retaliate with tickles and he can’t handle what they’re dishing out

He teases whoever he’s tickling, in a “wow, you’re this ticklish? How did I never realise?” kind of way.

Likes to poke and prod and squeeze. He’s very down to chase his target if they happen to start running away

Cannot handle what he dishes out. Any threats will get him sweating

Viktor

Coming from the Undercity, I doubt he grew up with any physical touch so he wasn’t used to it at first. Though being around others (Jayce), he got used to the closeness and started to even like it

At first he thought the act of tickling was undignified and childish (still does if someone he doesn’t like tries to tickle him), but he grows fond of it

Teasing really pushes his buttons. It gets him all flustered, even if it’s just wiggling fingers from across the room. He stumbles on his words at the threat, holding his hands up in defence

He’s not afraid to use his cane as a weapon to dissuade whoever might even think about tickling him

He doesn’t actively seek it out, but is happy if it crosses his path

I feel like he’s generally really ticklish. His ribs and hips especially dodging his brace. His neck and ears are extremely sensitive to feather-light touches

He tries to hold in his laugh. Key word here is tries. His shoulders will shake trying to hold it in, but tickle in juuuust the right spot or place, and the dam will break

I imagine his laughter being quiet and light at first, but once he gets going it’s beautiful and rich. Even further and he gets a little squeaky/hiccupy (just don’t go too far or he’ll start coughing)

He’s done meticulous and careful work with his hands for years, so you know his fingers are quite nimble and dexterous

Will tickle his target until he commits all their ticklish spots to memory. Does it in a scientific research kind of way, “I need to find where you’re the most ticklish. This is for science, after all.” “Is this spot more ticklish than the previous one? Mm, from your reaction, it seems so.”

Since he doesn’t have a lot of mobility, he will use his cane to pull his prey back if they try to run away

Jayce would totally use tickling to get Viktor’s attention when he’s concentrating too hard in the lab

And Viktor would do the same to Jayce. Viktor will be saying “Jayce? Jayce, are you listening? Jaaaaayce…” calling out to him and trying to snap him back to reality. Only getting Jayce’s attention by gently scribbling his neck with a smirk on his face. If Jayce was holding something, it oh so gracefully drops onto the floor as he freezes up in surprise

Both are too stubborn to leave the lab at a proper hour, so both use tickling to drag each other out. More so Jayce using this tactic than Viktor (Viktor is so stubborn/overworked/dedicated). Jayce will be particularly mean with his tickles to persuade Viktor when he’s being extra stubborn

Viktor will prod at Jayce with his cane when Jayce isn’t focusing. In turn, Jayce totally scribbles his fingers into Viktor’s side when Viktor is concentrating too hard

Jayce is very mindful and careful with Vik’s bad leg. Which is both a blessing (Jayce isn’t rough and is very careful) and a curse (gentle touches on his bad leg absolutely fucks Viktor UP)

S2 JAYCE TOTALLY USES THE BEARD FOR NEFARIOUS PURPOSES. Viktor absolutely despises (loves) the beard and how unfairly it tickles. It’s Jayce’s lethal weapon, guaranteed to kill Viktor whenever he kisses his neck/belly/hell his face too lmao

When Jayce is tickling Viktor, Viktor struggles to move away because of his lack of mobility. However, when it’s the other side of the coin, Jayce seems to never shy away from Viktor’s tickling fingers. Wonder why that is���

When V notices that Jayce is stressing out a lot, he’ll prop himself on the work bench or a table, pat his lap with a “Come here, Talis”. Jayce will lay his head on Vik’s lap so that Vik can caress his hair and lightly drag his fingers on his scalp/neck/anywhere his wandering fingers can reach. This makes Jayce absolutely melt and forget what he was even stressing out about

They’re both switchy and get touchy-feely, more so Jayce than Viktor since he’s used to physical touch. Viktor doesn’t mind though

They totally use tickling to teasingly bully each other and to annoy each other every now and again. The lab is filled with laughter

Vik rarely asks for it, but Jayce notices the particular way Vik sighs when he’s struggling, or the look on his face when he knows Vik needs some cheer up tickles

This was a suggestion from Jayce (so no I’m not at fault here! 🙂‍↔️). And yes, Viktor’s response was just as anyone expected: He raised his brow when he looked back at his lab partner. “You’re kidding?”

Panicky, Jayce flapped his hands to ease Viktor’s annoyance. “I hear this song everywhere and it always makes me think of you…! It’s not what I usually listen to but it gets into your brain before you know it. I genuinely thought you’d like it just a little bit. I mean… won’t you give it a listen?”

“Yeah, wrong guy, Jayce.” Jayce nodded quickly and accepted his fate. “Yeah, okay, I know this was dumb of me.”

Viktor didn’t add a word and continued his research back in his corner. Jayce grimaced, cursing at himself. “I-I’ll leave you to it, then. Text me when you’re home.”

The moment Viktor heard the door shut behind him, he sighed. He tucked his hair strings behind his ear and got back to work.

Much later, he noticed his tension grew bigger. He wasn’t being on task at all. Jayce was right. The short snippet he showed Viktor was already stuck in his head. He tried hard not to succumb to the temptation, trying to prove the air in the room that he wasn’t already a little bit hooked. Whether he’d listen to the full song and like it or not.

He looked at the time and smacked his lips. Jayce might be worried at this exact moment but Viktor felt like he couldn’t leave just now. He “barely made any progress”, he thought. He took a big breath and ran his hands over his hair. “I need a break.” He leaned over the counter to feel more relaxed and grabbed his phone in his pockets to surf the internet. But he had to take a double take when he realized he was in fact on his music app and not on social media. Already tapping the search bar. Viktor furrowed his eyebrows, aggravated by himself.

“Tsk.” He typed the lyrics he understood reluctantly, hoping that was enough for the engine to recognize what he meant. Luckily, it did. He let the song play in the background while he finally did what he intended to do with his phone: Surf the internet. When he was done with his break, he let it play on a loop “unknowingly”. He told himself he was too busy to risk and touch his phone now. That would interrupt his flow, he said.

Needless to say, it didn’t take long until he was swaying his body and snapping his fingers to the beat contently while he continued his research.

My woman. Oh how much I love her. Come on, we’ve been knowing she’d listen to lots of Beyoncé. She mostly listens to this when she’s already on a high and it’s physically impossible to hold her back. Usually it��s Elora next to her, sitting on the couch inside the karaoke room, holding her own microphone tight to her chest, absolutely fascinated by the performance she’s witnessing. Elora knows that her best friend can be a bit of a dork sometimes, but it amazes her every time anyways when it happens. But she doesn’t stay starstruck for too long, when Mel pulls her in to join her performance. They both rap Jay-Z’s part together, afterwards exchanging verses, Elora filling on the adlibs, the high notes, while Mel is grinding on her to make them both feel something. Hairs are being swung, physical space is non-existent and laughter filling the room 🥹❤️❤️ ugh I LOVE girls being silly together!!!! (I genuinely love what they have here!!! I love gays girls!!!! She knows Ekko isn’t really the type to sing in front of people so when he gets all hyped up and shows this side of him she feels special.

BUT IMAGINE! He was sent to make the dishes and he was soooooo not feeling it at first until he bit through it and listened to music to make him feel a bit more motivated. When this started to play he was LOCKED. IN. He did the whole “imagining he’s in an edit” kinda thing, jumping in place, flexing his muscle at literally no one at all, singing some verses aloud because he was so into it. Which he rarely does. Claggor is not a singer. Maybe a shower singer but everyone at home quickly shrugs it off, because honestly, who hasn’t done it before? I know we all love S1Viktor with S2Jayce but for the love of god I need S2Viktor with naive, dumb, still bright eyed Jayce from season 1 .

I mean, imagine this happening after the end of S2. Viktor just… wakes up. Everything is blurry and very, very painful. He hears yelling and the smell of smoke fills his lungs. Where is he? Wasn’t he supposed to die with Jayce?

Jayce.

Where is he? They’re supposed to be together.

He fights against the heaviness and pain of his own body (skill part Heaxcore, but no longer numb to everything around him. Just, different.)

“Jayce…” he whispers.

“Viktor!” He answers, but it’s wrong. Not quite right. Not his.

“It wasn’t me.” Says another voice. One that sounds just like him but younger.

Viktor is smart, so he rapidly figures out what’s happening.

The smoke finally clears. Viktor gets up slowly and hears a sharp gasp coming from behind him. He turns slowly, and meets the gaze of his younger counterpart. Shock, confusion, and excitement to figure out the puzzle in front of him shines through his eyes. This Viktor is young and stills believes he can make a name for himself in this cruel world.

Then he looks at his Jayce, or at least the younger version of him. His face is clean shaven, and his uniform is pristine. He looks oh so handsome. Still strong with no crutch on sight. And his eyes, oh those eyes are killing him. So big, so full of awe and none of that pain and suffering that Viktor allowed him to be tainted with.

No, this Jayce is still naive.

“Viktor?” He asks him and his younger self scoffs.

He feels breathless under his gaze. Viktor believed his Jayce feel in love with him near the end of things. But right here and now, Viktor can see the truth. Jayce adored him, love him, since the very beginning.

So, what I’m thinking next is just S1Viktor (who we’ll call Vik to make things easier) is having a bad time in general.

At first it’s very exciting the idea of having this future version of himself around. Asks him questions about projects and other things, using his vast knowledge and experience to create new inventions and attack some of the problems the people from Zaun suffer.

But then this man starts… getting clingy. Not to him, of course, but to his partner Jayce. Viktor, future Viktor, stands to close and touches him all. The fucking. Time. For some fucking reason he cannot phantom he always has a hand on Jayce. His shoulder, his arm, his lower back. Even his leg when they’re eating!!!

And Jayce! He always allows it for some fucking reason! Alright he has always know his lab partner is a touchy person but come on! Why can’t he put limits!

“Why should I? He’s you.” Jayce says like if that explains everything.

“I would never touch you like that!” Vik screams frustrated with blushing cheeks.

And oh boy, wrong thing to say. Because now Jayce is looking at him with the saddest puppy eyes he has ever seen in his life. Before he can explain himself and try to fix this, he appears, and does the unthinkable.

Future Viktor pulls Jayce into a hug. He even goes as far as kissing his forehead and murmuring things Vik couldn’t hear. The embrace is sweet and Jayce melts under his touch.

Vik is filled with hatred for himself and another dark feeling he can’t name.

Viktor is doing this on purpose of course. At first he just tried to push Vik a little, make him a little jealous so he can come into terms with his feelings sooner. But Jayce is just too adorable for him. So incredibly loyal and sweet.

He can’t help but desire to have him all for himself. His hands always wanders and god, the way Jayce body trembles under his touch makes his mouth water. Viktor wants to eat him whole.

So it’s no surprised when they eventually kiss. Honestly, it surprises him it had even taken them this long. Jayce has always been so open with his desires, wearing his heart on his sleeve.

And Viktor simply adored him in any version. Broken or full, innocent or bitter, this man was his in every timeline.

Jayce takes him, and then Viktor takes him, watching him coming undone under his praises and kisses.

He calls him puppy when they are working and Vik’s on the lab with them. Jayce blushes and stutters driving Vik mad with envy.

Viktor regrets nothing.

So, one thing that has been weighing on my mind is how Jayce and Viktor will survive the rocket bomb; one hypothesis I came up with is that the Hexcore is now linked with Viktor and doesn’t let him die.

Cut to - I started really studying that Death card in the screenshot (usually too distracted by the Magician card) and noticed that plume of almost demonic looking cloud above the skeleton. Is it leaving? Arriving? Merging with the soul? I hypothesize this might be the Hexcore going into Viktor to keep him alive?

I would hate for the creators to take away Viktor’s agency in augmenting himself in the Machine Herald but this is the only way I can see it tie in with Viktor asking Jayce to destroy the Hexcore and he doesn’t and now they have Beef.

Alternatively, a dying Viktor calls to the Hexcore and it answers. That would give him more agency.

This is a very interesting hypothesis. And I’ve always been captivated by that magician card too, but you’re totally right, there’s definitely some kind of… essence pulling away from the figure in the death card. And we’ve already seen the somewhat parasitic tendencies of the Hexcore (manipulating the host to control its behavior, in this case causing him pain in retaliation when he tried to destroy it). But as we also saw, it requires something in exchange to perform its feats of magic (in the beginning, the power offered by the Shimmer, and in the end, Sky’s life). So if it does act to save him during the explosion, it’s going to have to take something back. Which is probably going to expose him and make the entire council think he was involved. Maybe even Jayce 🥺

But I do have another theory that stems from your point about Viktor asking Jayce to destroy the Hexcore. If the Hexcore doesn’t protect Viktor, and he ends up mortally wounded… I can see Jayce taking him to the Hexcore. Attempting to save his life with it. But Jayce is unaware of the choice Viktor has already made; that he’s unwilling to pay the price the Hexcore requires, nor is he ok with the Hexcore’s manipulation of his augmented limbs, and by extension the loss of autonomy. So it’s possible Jayce uses the Hexcore to save him, thereby giving it even more of a chokehold on Viktor’s body and psyche, which… he would probably hold a grudge over. Especially if the Hexcore and its bodily augments start to negatively affect his sanity, as any exposure to the Void does. Especially when he asked Jayce to destroy it, to remove this temptation. Because as he said, “I can’t do it. You have to.”

One thing is for sure, our collective cries at his downfall will be heard round the world.

Code Geass: Rozé of the Recapture: So to my surprise, Ash does leave Sakuya, not killing her but not saving her either, going through his Batman Begins phase and being butthurt about her little brother cosplay. Christoff is just kinda like ‘okay that was weird’ and resumes experimenting on her but Ash comes back like five minutes later, idk if he had a change of heart or was just waiting for a more dramatic entrance but he knocks Christoff’s Geass-cancelling helmet off and Christoff shoots himself before Sakuya can use her Geass on him (I mean you’d think shooting her would be just as quick and save him the trouble but guess you can’t miss your own head and it is more of a statement on his refusal to be controlled by Geass). Ash tells Sakuya he still doesn’t really like her for what she’s done but he trusts her father so much that he’ll place his faith in her father’s faith in her and it’s a nice moment. Now that 90% of the terrorists are dead, Neo Britannia’s like “Oh yeah, we want peace now, so you can’t attack us or you’ll look like the jerks” so everyone’s hands are kinda tied and Sakuya’s still Rozé but has lost most of her contacts now that café girl is captured and she’s kinda BSoDing at the moment, but she remembers everyone that died to get her this far and redoubles her resolve, kinda weak honestly but to be fair Lelouch had a similar moment where he had to go “You know maybe overthrowing fascists has fringe benefits outside the ones that directly benefit me” so I’ll give it a pass. We skip ahead a few months and turns out even though Ash knows about Sakuya’s disguise now the dumb motherfucker STILL hasn’t put together that she’s the maid from the café, you’re a thick boy, you’re thicker than the girls in this anime and they’re all pretty thick, but it does have a GREAT scene of him slowly realizing it and his face just turning blue, it’s really funny. Sakura and Catherine keep butting heads over Darwinism vs protecting the weak and Catherine’s heterosexuality is hanging on by a thread because all of Sakura’s appeals seem to hit her right in the tsundere feels. The peace talks stagnate because Neo Britannia uses anti-Britannian racism as evidence of why they can’t cede the land of Hokkaido or demilitarize in a weird “You see your honor, if I stop enslaving people, people are gonna be really pissed about all the enslaving I did and hurt me” defense that somehow works. Just then a number of spider-like machines start running roughshot over the entire world, disrupting international communication and targeting key locations and this is a really neat bit of fanservice where we get Gino, Kagura, Suzaku, Nunally and even Akito from one of the spinoffs all reacting to the attacks. So yeah things are lookin’ kinda rough out there, even the slice of life café isn’t safe.

Arcane: Jayce is tired of murdering kids and backs out of his arrangement with Vi who is not tired of murdering kids. Mel is tired of her horny grandma warmongering but grandma wants to continue warmongering so the weapons are really good for when her own war comes to her country, basically the trial phase war to work out all the bugs and now she suddenly has use for Mel despit throwing her out for giving her bad looks whenever she tries murdering kids. Viktor’s magical automail doesn’t last and he can’t bring himself to break the magical heart he transmuted his straight option into so he asks Jayce to do it with his big new hammer.Silco’s henchmen are pissed and try YET AGAIN to stage a coup but his number 2 finally kills off that Yakuza knockoff so we can be done with that and he excuses the Bane lady on account of her son just fucking dying so she’s understandably a little pissed. Jayce and Silco meet and Jayce tells him that he can get his cessation and sovereignty if he stops all the drug trafficking and gives him Jinx and in beautiful irony Silco is in the same position Vander was in and he knows it, ranting at Vander’s statue before Jinx abducts him before he cane make a choice. Meanwhile Vi does what she does whenever she doesn’t know what to do and picks a fight with Silco’s #2 again and actually wins the fight with the help of her new gauntlets but Jinx kidnaps her too and takes her to the scene from Texas Chainsaw Massacre/Resident Evil 7 and I like how she has everyone tied up and gagged because she has enough voices in her head for everyone and eventually un-gags people as she grows more willing to hear out their point of view. She briefly teases reenacting Se7en with Cait before rolling her out regular and tells Vi to kill her and Jinx will go back to normal or she’ll do it herself and succumb more to the dark side and thankfully everyone involved knows you can’t just do that like you can’t just turn off your psychosis but Silco gets to speak his peace as well. There’s a standoff with Cait and Vi and Silco literally become the angel and devil on Jinx’s shoulders in a fight for her soul. She ends up shooting Silco and immediately regretting it, basically cutting ties with Vi and telling both her and herself that she’s too far gone and both of them have changed too much to be connected like they were. On a bittersweet note Vi and Cait escape and just as the Council is voting for peace with the leader of a nation who just died, Jinx fires her bazooka shark thing from the games straight into their headquarters, I imagine Jayce prolly isn’t gonna die from this cause he’s too important but things aren’t looking good for Mel since the rocket was directly aimed at her and her tragic death potential is pretty high at this point. Also complete side note, I like how the Yakuza wannabe tells Silco that today’s the day he dies and presuming all this happens on the same day he may have been right (there are some gaps that claim it may not have but for dramatic irony I’m gonna say it did) but yeah, season 1 is done and I for one am glad I don’t have to wait however long the gap was for season 2 and can just jump into it next week.

Gleipnir: It’s finale time and I’m kinda running out of hope that this’ll be wrapped up in a satisfying way given this is one of those ‘probably not getting a second season but not making up a real anime ending’ anime, and a lot of questions are set up and answers are SORTA given but there’s not enough time to elaborate on them to make them make sense. Shuuichi takes things into his own hands and since Sayaka’s group is kinda done after all the war crimes he wants to just take all their coins. Claire stays at his house and apparently he’s forgotten his parents just like Elena and that kinda explains why we never see his family or no one seems to care he’s gone but also like… his place his disgusting, did he forget how to clean too or is his brain just seeing a clean place because of cognitive dissonance of it not making sense for it not to be clean if his parents are a blank spot? Also where is he getting money for rent and food? Like he’s apparently been living like this for months if not years and how the fuck have they not foreclosed on his house, maybe the Japanese real estate market is really forgiving or something but around here if people don’t pay their jacked up rates they come for your kneecaps. There’s a confusing handoff plot that doesn’t really go anywhere and long story short they meet with Elena while Chihiro’s giving her their coins for real, putting their faith in her to end the game instead of Shuichi. Apparently Hanako’s ghost will go berserk and destroy the world if she connects with Shuuichi’s memory to regain her identity so Elena wiped his memory at the cost of some of her power which I guess is something she could do, like they do have a coin-generated superpower system but for some reason no one seems to have more than one power even if they’ve obtained coins. Claire shows him the doll of his monster form and apparently that’s all it takes to get his memory back and they have a cool fight scene before Hanako’s ghost interrupts and they do a Super Buu fight inside Shuuichi’s brain which is weird but Elena re-erases his memory to get the ghost off his back who says she’s not interested in monsters and only wants people so she won’t kill anybody that doesn’t come to the crash site. Shuuichi still seems to remember what’s going on though so idk, maybe his mind is wiped just enough to keep him safe. But yeah, the buff guy comes back and they decide to storm the crash site again and the nice girl moves away because she hasn’t been plot relevant at all and that’s how the series ends, I forgot this is how a lot of seasonal anime ended they just kinda make up a stopping point and drop off, like I can’t really blame them for not going with more but it’s always such a weird vibe of “well it’s over but literally nothing is resolved”.

Trigun: It’s the introductory episode for Nicholas D. Wolfwood, honorary One Piece character and general fan favorite. His personality is a lot like Vash in that he’s a peaceful nice guy that acts kinda like a creep but is genuinely a good person, you’d think putting two characters that are so similar together would be putting a hat on a hat but Wolfwood is like one shade more mundane than Vash and is able to highlight some of the things that make Vash unique like how he notes Vash’s smile is fake 90% of the time or how the ridiculous situations Vash falls into aren’t normal even for a Jack Sparrow guile hero. Half the episode is basically a long bus ride after they pick Wolfwood up, though they get swarmed by some spider robots from the anachronistic technological future past and both guys jump off the bus to rescue a little girl. Wolfwood doesn’t have his preferred weapon and so they have to basically share Vash’s gun as they jump into the alien ship that’s manufacturing the robots. It’s weird because if the ship’s still making robots and has been for years there should be thousands of them but they only run into a couple dozen, maybe it was recently reactivated or something. Still Wolfwood manages to cover Vash with his own gun until he runs out of bullets and gets distracted before seeing Vash getting out of being cornered, seemingly unarmed with a smoking arm and a destroyed robot. Combine that with the fact that Vash seems to know more about this alien tech than anybody else and we’re really building towards his angsty tragic backstory reveal pretty well, it’s fun how the show’s so episodic but we still have a good sense of continuity and are building character so steadily, like Meryl and Mill’s relationship with Vash has already changed a lot and they’ll talk about everything that happened even if most episodes are blank slates. Wolfwood leaves the group and kinda strikes up a little ship with Milly which is kinda cute but yeah, definitely not the last we’ll see of him.

Revolutionary Girl Utena: It’s time for the finale of the Black Rose Saga… for some reason, idk I feel like Utena hasn’t dueled a hundred people to get through all the ghost corpses but nobody wants to watch that anyway and we’re about to find out time is convoluted here so maybe she has. Mikage is now the final Black Rose duelist to challenge Utena and instead offers her to join his seminar and undergo the psychological analysis. The rest of the episode is a flashback that reveals Mikage is actually Professor Nemuro, head of the boys’ dorm that burned killing those one hundred duelists and he somehow hasn’t aged a day since. Nemuro knows Ohtori Academy is piloting a mysterious Revolution Project but isn’t granted further details beyond his contract, showing little ambition for the school’s supposed noble goal. He’s met with inspector Tokiko Chida and her brother Mamiya, both of whom he grows to care for as Tokiko explains that the school’s project to essentially make time stretch to eternity could save her deathly ill brother. This whole flashback is really cool and gives lots of little pointers about things that show up later in the Mikage Seminar, like symbolism for dummies. Eventually Nemuro is approached by Akio and offered the Rose Crest, now that he loves Tokiko he’s sufficiently motivated to dedicate himself to revolutionize the world, just like all the Black Rose duelists we’ve seen thus far. After he sees Akio with Tokiko he decides to burn down the dorm with Mamiya to fuel the Eternity Revolution Project with the sacrifices of the duelists. In present day Tokiko returns to the academy, seeing what Mikage has become in pursuit of a goal that used to be for her sake, commenting that Mamiya has died some time ago and both Akio and Mikage have stopped aging while they stay within the school, commenting that they’ll never make progress if they’re afraid of aging, it’s a nice little metaphor for how their pursuit of eternal youth has hampered their growth. Mikage sees Utena caring for Anthy just like Tokiko did for Mamiya and resolves himself for the next step of his challenge. Things are really starting to get out there, like just poking around I knew this series went to some cosmic places but I’m kinda glad Utena’s not one of those series that has its twist just kinda spoiled by time, I’m enjoying seeing it unfold in real time and if the rest of it is any indication it may not something that’s ABLE to be spoiled very easily just because of how out there it is.

VIKTOR LEAGUE OF LEGENDS

(under read more cause its gonna get long)

Viktor is said to be born in the borders of the Entresol level of Zaum (aka the middle), but I’m guessing that means the lower border because of how often he’d have to move or stay away from home due to accidents.

I assume Viktor had good parents. They were artisans and seemed to encourage his creative pursuits with robotics and so on. (I also believe he is trans and that his parents supported him in that as well haha).

So yes, we have this child who likes building things. And he lives in this place that is not healthy or safe for the people that live there. His parents probably go to the upper levels to work and Viktor gets a glimpse of a better place there. He sees where he’s at and at first, he is motivated by both kindness and frustration. He is a child with a passion and all these leaks and accidents are getting in the way! So he starts studying to see what he can do. Time passes though and he realizes the extent of those things, the casualities of those humam errors. So he takes his work more seriously and soon he is producing results. But of course no one takes a teen seriously, no matter how good he is.

Until someone does and it works. His inventions are good! So he keeps doing it! He’s awkward and socially anxious but he really LOVES building things so he does it and sells his work to the factories until he gets the attention of the Zaun academy of techmaturgy (this is canon btw). 

He goes into the academy and he’s.... awkward... Like, Zaun is full of weird people sure but Viktor is pretty bad at talking about anything but robotics and stuff and comes off as blunt often, so he’s kinda isolated by his peers. He doesn’t mind, he’s there to study. But professor stanwick approaches him with interest in his work and Viktor is happy he is recognized by a professional. He’s a little naive back then and trusts his teacher a lot. Which is why he is convinced to move to Piltover, despite a bit of his reluctance to leave his home. His parents wave him goodbye and he leaves.

He moves to Piltover and gets a better lab, more tools, more money and more people to help. His work just improves in time and he’s put to work with a lot of people. He once again fails incredibly of socializing properly and falls into isolation yet again (hello darkness my old friend). People end up working with him either because he’s really the best option or because they can stand him for the time he is needed {:- (

Well, that is, until he works with Jayce. Jayce is infurating and doesn’t do things the way Viktor likes doing and has this weird outlook on how things are done that sometimes just works despite it all. He’s a puzzle that doesn’t make sense and the two end up doing a lot of things together. And having a lot of discussions. A LOT of them. They are both kinda lonely. But its like.. they don’t dislike eachother?? Because they kind skipped some steps in how socializing usually goes so it just kinda worked. 

They could’ve kept going, getting comfortable in eachother’s spaces until they could just go out to chill together or something but neither of them was brave enough to try it (or smart enough to realize that could be good). 

But then at this time that awful chem spill happened in Zaun in the entresol level and Viktor rushes home to help.

I’d say this is where Viktor’s character starts like, solidifying I guess? Because I think for the first time, as a grown mature person, Viktor is seeing death and suffering with his own eyes. Death and suffering that could’ve been avoided. He’s watching all these people die and suffer and he can only do so much to repair the damage. If only it could’ve been avoided, could’ve been stopped. He knows it’s possible. Why didn’t anyone do it? 

He doesn’t find his parents either.

So he spends the next several months throwing all his energy and sanity into doing whatever he can to help these people. He builds blitzcrank and they fix evertyhign they can. It’s a fucking CHEM spill, can you imagine just how AWFUL it all was?? people were dying for several weeks after the accident , even after the damage to the structures were already fixed. These people were slowly suffering around him and he was trying and they kept dying around him. These are workers, families. It’s a pretty bad situation.

He learnes how to infuse mechanical parts with flesh in an astonishing way just to try to replace the rotten, sick parts of the people around him. Get rid of the parts that were kiling them.

And then! He finally goes back to Piltover, after it all, and the first thing he gets is the news that Stanwick stole credits on his invention of Blitzcrank.

Like.. the emotional toll of it all? He’s tired! He’s burdened with the ammount of death he saw and people wanna be shitty and play games like that for glory and fame! It’s stupid and he doesn’t understand it! He tries to fight for his right and loses because no one really bothered to support him through it (Jayce didn’t think he’d really have to and would you look at that).

He’s angry and upset and grieving and possibly traumatized. He keeps wondering why would people do that to eachother and comes up empty. So he’s here, obsessing with replacing every part of human error to garantee that people WILL live. Of course, he’s more isolated then ever and people don’t bother to sit down and listen, they just think he’s weird and obsessed and stuff like that.

So when he needs to do the colaboration on the dive suits with Jayce and they have their fight about free will, people side with Jayce quickly. They think Viktor is mad and they had seen it coming miles away. 

He gets fucking expelled from the Piltover academia and sent back to Zaun.

To his ruined home, alone, with nothing but his name and his thoughts.

Clearly that leads him into a deep depression. After all, he lost everything but he doesn’t understand why ! because sure these people in piltover like acting high and mighty and theorizing and politicizing but they didn’t have to watch children crying because they were coughing so much blood was coming out because their lungs were corroded and they wouldnt last another week. They thought viktor was mad. 

And viktor had a lot of time to wallow over it, and think about his failures and suffer on his own and he’s actual conclusion is that negative emotions ( envy, pride, sadness) clouded people’s judgemetns. They’d let others suffer for their own gain out of fear of losing. 

He thought that himself feeling sadness was just another obstacle to do what he had to: save people.

So he basically starts operating on himself until he can barely feel emotions anymore, removing his own happiness with it (but its not like he felt it anyway so what difference did it make). And then he starts plunging into work like never before, dedicated to this new cause that is the glorious evolution. He starts again from the bottom and once again he rises, because Viktor is a genious, and he is honest in his work, in his intentions. He wants to help.

 People were scared of the Mad Man Viktor, but Viktor would do anything he could to save you if you came to him. He understood limits though, he never imposed over people. Do no harm, as they say ( what would be the point of doing that?? )

And then the other toxic even happens in Sump, another really bad one, and Viktor rushes in to help. He’s keeping these people alive in his lab but he knows he doesnt have the power to keep them so. So he goes to Jayce after an energy source.

He thinks Jayce will listen to him now, now Viktor isn’t emotive and easily hurt, now he isn’t insecure, he has a cause, he has something he fights for. A brighter tomorrow.

And Jayce calls him mad. 

Viktor is kind of dissapointed, he’d think Jayce, who has always been so uncaring of people’s opinion’s would at least try to understand. He doesn’t. So he takes the crystal by force from Jayce (petty arguments can be saved for later, those people on his lab needed him NOW).

When Jayce follows him there with a hammer he understands the stakes. 

One life against hundreds is an easy math. Viktor chooses to sacrifice Jayce (Jayce chose to come here after all)

But then Jayce actually destroys his lab.

And like... imagine waking up to your laboratory destroyed, just dozens of corpses of innocent people laying around. yet another failure, yet another big price to pay.

He has to start from zero again. His reputation is completely stepped on ( he is truly crazy now by everyone’s eyes) and Jayce is a hero. Blitzcrank sticks around for a little while, moved by the same passion to help people, but blitzcrank can stand the deaths and the gruesomeness of viktor’s work, he leaves to try to help in other ways. Viktor lets him of course, blitz has free will and he isn’t anyone to stop him. 

Some people, desperate people, still come to him for help. He does his best to give them what they need. A strange cult forms and idolizes him, he hates it, he is no god, he is just another man. People thinking of him as an etheral being just proves his theory on how fear and wayward emotions lead to dumb, dangerous mistakes.

In the end, Viktor is trying to cheat suffering, cheat death at all costs.

I don’t believe he sent any golems or anything after Jayce, vengence is way too beneath him. Stealing? Maybe not, depends. I think Jayce became a bit paranoid after “defeating” viktor. Because Viktor said some big words and Jayce is suddenly realizing that truly, he has no purpose. He’s just a useless tool. He makes things sure, but what for? He’s raised as a hero but damn he doesn’t feel like it.

And to end it all, this is why I think Ekko and Viktor should sit down and chat at some point. They are so similar and so different all at once. They both love Zaun and its people, they both wanna protect them and have a passion for inventing. But while Viktor wants to reject his human side to achieve his goals, Ekko embraces it. Like, I don’t think Viktor shouldn’t even be his mentor, more like his colleague. Ekko is his own person and has a different way of doing things, but they could do a lot together as well. 

Also Ekko and Blitz are totally friends in canon so like.. yeah.. Zaun for life....

„I HATE YOU!“ The door slammed shut when Viktor stomped out of Jayces Room and it was followed by a all consuming silence. It was now a year that they were a couple now and everything was perfectly fine, at least most of the times. Sure they argued here and there sometimes but that was normal right? They fight and after that they would cuddle for hours in front of Jayces TV or they would do....other stuff. But every time the fight would end in one way or another and they would never part ways in an argue. But not this time.

Jayce groaned and let himself fall into his, way too big for one person, bed. This time he really fucked up. Good job. He didn't just forgot their anniversary. That would be something that Viktor would never be so pissed about. Sure he would mock him for all eternity how forgetful he was and he would say ,It's because your ego is way to big. You oversee a lot with that thing' as always but the reason why he slapped him a few moments ago with tears in his eyes was because he saw how he flirted with Lux in his doorway when she came across. He was so fucking stupid. He had done it to annoy Ezreal a bit. How could he know that in exactly that moment his boyfriend would come around the next corner because he wanted to borrow a book for his next Battle lesson from him? After that the book was forgotten of course. Jayce had tried to explain but it seemed that Viktor was already to listen and that Jayce stepped the first time too far. “I'm sorry”

He sighed and closed his eyes. Sometimes, late at night when he couldn't sleep, and Viktor was by his side he thought about them. How it came to the point that this stubborn, annoying, always arguing, shy, cute,  intelligent and wonderful person in his arms ended up with the biggest jerk in school. How he deserved him. And how he could tolerate all his bullshit even when he always had a hard time to deal with other people. Maybe, he thought, when his mind drifted to one of these nights, were a sleeping Viktor would lie beside him, peaceful and so beautiful in the moonshine, he could do all this because he was the most perfect being in the universe. At least for Jayces miserable life. And maybe he would lose him after that forever. This thought was extremely painful. “You know what you had when you lost it”, Viktor sometimes said whenever Jayce lost something again. A tool or a book but never in his life he realized how true these words were than now were he had lost him.

The days after that incident were pure hell for Jayce. Viktor didn't appear in any class they had together and no one had seen him either. “He will come back. Give him time.” Darius patted him on his shoulder, maybe a little too hard.

“Sure he was hurt but he is a smart guy. He will realize soon how worthless you are without him and that you need him and that you of all people know that and would never risk that. Trust me he will come back to you” Jayce snorted and buried his face in his hands. “Thanks for you encouraging words Darius but.....please stop-”, he mumbled. “You are not helping.” “Maybe you should talk with one of the teachers”, Darius offered and looked over the heads of the students in the cafeteria. “There is your house professor. Ask him if he knows something about Vik” Darius was a jerk, just as Jayce himself, but not as intelligent and maybe a bit too straight forward sometimes. But this time his idea was actually useful. So Jayce stood and made his way threw the groups of students to the desk were all the teachers sat and talked. “Uhm....Professor Swain?” His teacher looked up at him. “Yes?” “Could we talk for a moment?” And his gaze traveled to the other teachers for a split second.

“Alone?” Professor Swain frowned and eyed him intensely. Then he nodded, said goodbye to Professor LeBlanc and Graves and asked him to follow him. They ended up in his office and Jayce searched for words while his Professor sat down behind his large desk, full with paperwork and notes. “You are here because of Viktor, am I right?” Jayce closed his mouth and stared into Swains stabbing red eyes. It was as if he would analyze him and could read his mind and he hated that. But he nodded and sat down in one of the chairs in front of the Professors desk. “He did not appear in class for a while now and....I am worried. No one saw or heard from him.” “That's because”, Swain began and leaned into his chair. Hands crossed before him on the table. “He is not in school anymore.” Jayces heart sank into his stomach and suddenly he felt very ill and nauseous. “What?” Swain closed his eyes. “He left a few days ago. Said his parents needed his help. We both know that this was a lie. He ran away from something. I could not stop him no matter what I said and he was on the edge of tears the most time of our conversation.” His eyes found Jayces blue ones again.

“Whatever it was. You were the reason, right?” Jayce gulped. But nodded. It was useless to lie now. “I see.” The Professor stood and turned to the large window behind him, arms crossed behind his back. “I fought many wars. Most of them were avoidable and even more were pointless. It was in the war 20 years ago when I realized how dumb we humans are. We fought against each other because a few of us were stronger than others with the magic they were born with. Humans against humans because of selfish reasons”

He huffed and Jayce saw how his human hand brushed over the surface of the demon one. He lost his arm in this war and survived with only his willpower to end it. “I know that you and Mister Viktor were close” Jayce head snapped back up and his eyes found Swains, who looked over his shoulder. “I don't know how close. But I know that you are the only one who can find and safe him. Were ever he is right now. I will tell your teachers that you will not come to the lessons for a few days. I trust in you that you will find your friend and that you will bring him back to us.” And with that the conversation was over.

Silent and a little bit shocked about the fact that Viktor ran away he leaved, just to run into a wall of flesh.

“Hey Jayce. And how was it?” Jayce groaned and rubbed his nose. How could he be so lost in his thoughts that he had overseen Darius of all people? “Viktor ran away and Professor Swain gave me the order to find him and bring him back” Darius whistled impressed.

“Than my dear friend I wish you luck” And with these words he disappeared in Swains office.

Love is war.

Jayce realized that when he found himself in front of a giant building, broken and crumbling from the time it was not used and dark and unfriendly. It was the old school building from the Battle Academia, on the other end of the town, and it was abandoned after the last war had destroyed a lot of the main building. They decided it would be better to build a new one inside the city instead of miles outside of it to underline the new peace between mages and normal people. Jayce followed his track till here and it was as if he could hear the bombs that destroyed the building all these years ago. He clutched his hammer harder and gulped when he entered. Viktor was here somewhere. He knows it! “He will not come little nerd!” He stopped immediately when he heard the voice echo through the old and crumbled floors of the school. “He will not come because he never loved you. You know that you saw him right?” A horrible crunching sound was heard and a whine. And that was when everything in Jayces head turned off and before he could think anything else he rushed into the room were the sounds came from. He had recognized this whine and his fears became true when he bursted into the room with splintering wood and clashing metal when his hammer broke through the door.

There he was.

Viktor was bound and gagged.

Suspended with his arms on a metal bar like a pig ready to be slaughtered.

Crying and bleeding with broken glasses and injuries everywhere. They had torn apart his shirt and uniform and his upper body was full with bruises were he was hit with an hard object over and over again.

Jayce saw red when his gaze traveled to the other person in the room.

“Oh who we have here~” Kayns voice was smug and Jayce could feel how his muscles twitched with the urge to kill this guy. Everyone in school knows how much Kayn hated Viktor because he was the one who let his idol Zed get expelled from school after he bullied Viktor for over a year. He should have known that this bastard was behind all this. In his hand was a baseball bat and it was full with blood. Dry and fresh and it was 100% Viktors blood.

“Here to safe your little friend, Jayce?” Kayns voice ripped him out of his thoughts. “I knew you would come to save your little plaything Jayce. I know you. You are an asshole and you would never allow someone to steal from you~” “Shut up!” Jayces voice trembled.

“What else? Will you punch me with that...thing?” He pointed at the hammer in Jayce trembling hands. “Cute~ But let's come to the reason I wanted you to come here” He moved towards Viktor and brushed over his cheeks. Viktor tried to pull away with no success.

“This little bitch here was the reason I lost my dear master”, Kayn said and his grip tightens around Viktors neck. “He was the reason why my life became worthless. I lost everything and now” He pulled his hand away and Viktor started coughing when oxygen filled his lungs again.

“I will do him the same favor!”

Kayn grinned and his eyes met Jayces. “I will kill you right here and now. And he will look. He will see everything while Zed will slaughter you and then we will send him and his broken psyche back to school. Oh how hilarious it will be to watch when the greatest student of them all will go mad and kill everyone~” Jayce realized to late the words Kayn had said. And too late that they were not alone.

Pain rushed through his body when two blades pierced through his body from behind. His eyes widened when he looked down and saw the bloody metal coming right out of his belly.

“JAAAAAAAAAAAAAYCE!” His eyes shot up again and met with Viktors beautiful yellow ones. He stared at him, shocked and with fear and pain in his eyes. “V...Viktor....I....” The blades circled inside of him and when he coughed he tasted blood.

“I'm....so sorry....I....” “JAYCE PLEASE!” “I....never wanted....to hurt you....you....” “SHUT UP YOU IDIOT! FIGHT!” “I can't lose you.....Viktor I....I love you....” Viktor cried out his pain and tried to free himself. Zed laughed when his blades glided out of Jayces body and he fell to the ground. Numb and trembling.

“What a pretty face”, Zed said when he circled Jayce and knelt before him. “It would be a shame to destroy it. Good thing that I never feel shame~” The pain was everywhere when Zed used his Blades to cut open his face. But he could not scream.

“JAAAAAAAAAAAAYCE!” He heard Viktors screams and sobs but his mind was already fading. That was until

“Zed lets make his face pretty too shall we?” “Nice idea. This nerd will show the world who he belongs to” Instantly he was completely awake again. His body moved on its own and it was in a matter of seconds that he had his hammer in hand and jumped at the two kidnappers before him. They did not even have the time to react before Jayces hammer hit both of them and send them flying.

“Jayce!?” Viktor stared at him. How he could still move was a miracle and he was just half conscious. But it was enough to safe his beloved. “Youuuuu”

Zed and Kayn stared at him. Nothing but blood lust in their eyes .

“We will...” “You will do nothing!” Red light filled the room and both of them cried out when claws appeared from the ground and grabbed them.

Immediately Jayces eyes shot to the door and their was professor Swain, demon hand in the air and with glowing red eyes.

“I apologize that I was not here faster.”, he said and saw to the two injured boys. “When I send you away Jayce I let a few of my crows follow you. And when they said what is happening here I run as fast as I could. Still....A few moments later and I would have been too late” Jayce huffed and sunk to the ground. His whole body screaming and in pain. It was over.

The Professor brought Zed and Kayn out of the room before he came to them. When he freed Viktor he immediately sunk next to Jayce and hugged him so hard that he needed to be remembered from the Professor that Jayce was badly injured.

“You idiot. You could have died!”, Viktor sniffed.

Jayce lay on the ground, Viktor sat beside him and Swain was healing his wounds.

Jayce smiled and his hand found Viktors.

“I would die a thousand times for you.” “Idiot!” Viktor sniffed again and his cheeks grew red. “I hope this will never be necessary�� Both of them looked up to Swain who bandaged Jayce now. “It was very reckless to run into them just like that Mister Jayce. Next time, come to me okay?”

Jayce laughed and nodded. “As long as I never need to ever let go of Viktor again its fine by me~” “J...JAYCE!” Viktor punched him against the shoulder. Not hard enough to hurt though but with a face red like a tomato.

Swain and Jayce laughed. “I love you nerd”, Jayce said smiling.

“And I love you”, Viktor mumbled, looking away.

You know what you had when you lose it. And you will appreciate it even more when it comes back again. That's what Jayce learned this day. And even though he almost lost his life that day, it was the happiest day of his life when he was able to hug Viktor again and tell him everything he always wanted to say.
