So....

Imagine if grant and terry were dating around the time he rolled the die another day. And he saw grant shot him. And he had zero context on the situation so he thinks grant will eventually be against him in the future and to make that situation hurt less, he starts distancing himself and they end up breaking up by saying some choice words.

And then when they are kidnapped by willy a second time, and Willy puts the collar on them, he type of now understands how he would die and that it really wasn't up to grant. That the only thing making grant kill him was that it was the most effective way to stop the teens which was an objective given to him by the collar.

And then they are in their cells and grant is apologizing and terry forgives and tells him he knew it would happen because of what he saw in the dice but this context is way more forgivable than what he thought would happen. Then terry brings up that what he saw in the die was what made him break up. Then grants like "Oh"

And while grant feels guilty when trying to be friends with terry because he put a bullet in his head, they do slowly move on and are besties again because they are in-laws now.

Look, I'm not saying that Lucy Dacus's recent video output (between the 'Night Shift' video and now 'the film' by Boygenius) has been designed for me specifically. I'm not saying it's all been part of a targeted plan to make me feel better about my queerness, more welcome in my body, and more able to see a fulfilled vision of myself. I'm not saying that they coordinated with my endocrinologist to release these songs at the precise moments in my HRT process where they could produce the maximum effect! I'm not saying that! That would be crazy. But it is striking how much they've been exactly what I need at this particular moment.

If I can just cut to the heart of something and be absurdly vulnerable for a second: I think Lucy Dacus maybe looks a tiny bit like me? Or, at least, she looks a tiny bit like how I imagine I could look, once I finally shave my face-hiding beard, fill out my hips, and stop living in quite so much fear. Maybe that's ridiculous – maybe I'll never look anything like her, and the resemblance will be strongest at its most hypothetical – but the remarkable thing is that I do feel it, in a below-conscious-thought kind of way, and it manages to coexist with another thought, which is that: she's so beautiful. And I've literally never been able to think before that anyone who looks even the tiniest bit like me could also be beautiful. That's a totally new feeling, uncertain on its hooves.

My gut instinct is honestly to smother the thought so as not to allow it the chance to humiliate me. But I'm posting this as a way of taking that option away from myself. The truth is: yes, a huge part of the reason these videos are shredding me so much emotionally is seeing someone who I think maybe kinda looks a little bit like me standing so warm in the waterfall of her own queerness. To see someone who (again maybe, a tiny bit, aspirationally) looks like me absolutely crushing it as a brilliant and ferociously loved lesbian icon – like, yes, that actually does hit different. How could it not?

My body is part of this. And right now my body feels like Lucy Dacus is showing everyone – including me – how it might be possible to love it.

it feels like it captures a lot of the feelings that you conjured up with rose and astarion, especially after their... conversation in your latest chapter. i don't know if it fits the vibe of your wip playlist cuz its more somber but damn, some of the lines fit too well so i wanted to share it with you!
