I Know You Better
gif not mine
"I know you better" - Evan Buckley x reader
You reach out for her, gently gripping her chin as you try and tilt her face up so you can look into her eyes.
“Y/N?” you ask
“I-I can’t” she stutters and you search her face, looking into those deep brown eyes, theres a war inside them and you can see she’s trying to fight something
“What can’t you do Y/N?” you query, wanting her to open up to you, not to shut you out like you were so used to her doing.
“I can’t do this, not again. Not when I lost Devon the same way” she breathes out and you feel like you’ve been slapped in the face, or had a bucket of water tipped over your head. You cared for Y/N so much. Knew of her past, of the things that damaged her, it was what had drawn you to her in the beginning.
“I’m not going to promise that I’m not going to get hurt Y/N, because we both know better than that. I know you better than that. But I am going to promise that I will do whatever I can to make it back to you, because you are my reason to keep fighting” you admit, holding her hands tightly in yours as tears slide down your cheeks as you make the biggest promise to anyone you’d made.
“You better keep your promise Evan” she says reaching up and cupping your cheek and you lean into her touch “because I love you” she finishes as she leans in and places a kiss on your lips, its soft and promises so much more, and suddenly you now have so much more reason to fight to make it through the next twenty four hour shift as you searched for survivors after the hurricane.
“I love you Y/N” you say as you take a step away, reaching for your bag as you head for the door, looking at the woman who had captured your heart all those years ago.

Finally got to watch NCIS: Origins and I am loving it!! The last line of the episode.... I literally gasped. Even though I was already hooked, now I'm locked in.
Franks is perfect. The actor has these tiny little mannerisms that embody him so well and really add to the believability of it. Randy seems awesome. Love Austin Stowell as Gibbs. Perfect stoic traumatized guy just trying to get by. Oh, and the failed psych eval, with Franks sticking his neck out for him? Love seeing the seeds of the dynamic they later have. It all makes a lot of sense. Their headquarters is also awesome. I love the set design and cinematography so far. Also the soundtrack. Breaking out of the typical procedural style is so exciting. I feel like I hallucinated this show, and I can't wait to see how they do it with the Tiva show.
Also there's some great dialogue, especially from Franks. And a little hint of the Gibbs gut. And I don't even know where to begin with getting more flashbacks of his family. The ones at the end that flashed between his family and old Gibbs were so cool. More of that will break my heart. I had not expected to see Mark Harmon, but it was so nice to see him at the beginning, living it up in Alaska. I wonder if he's telling this whole story for someone specific, and it will be revealed who at the end of the season. I'm also really intrigued to see more of Franks' character.
Last thought: If they go on multiple seasons, I really really really want to see Jenny Shepard. But now that I see this is centered around Lala I'm thinking that's unlikely. Either way, I'm way more hype for this than I ever thought I'd be. I definitely thought at first when they announced it that it was kind of an unnecessary series, but it's so well done and allows them to be really creative with their style. Great showrunners too, I recognize those names. And the riff on the NCIS theme song at the end 🙏🙌

Day 19 - Listening to the birds when they wake up
30 day challenge notes: quantity over quality, limited editing, stand-alone/unrelated stories unless specifically stated otherwise, not always tiva, chronologically randomly set in whatever pre-s11 season seems to fit
A/N: Tiva fluff, didn't go where I wanted it to go, not quite smut (I think, I don't remember how the rating works and can't be bothered to look it up rn)
Tag for blocking/following: 30 days of spring
Prompt: Listening to the birds when they wake up
Word count: 862
-
Tony wasn’t entirely certain which woke him first; the daylight streaming in through the half open curtains, or the twittering bird right outside the window. Still drowsy with sleep, and comfortably cozy underneath the blankets, he closed his eyes again, and enjoyed the serenade.
When a second bird joined in, he opened his eyes again, and yawned loudly, rolling onto his back and stretching. He glanced at the mop of curls on the pillow next to him, illuminated by the streak of sunlight that didn’t offer much warmth yet.
The urge to nudge her awake was tempered by the fact that he knew she had a gun under her pillow. And that it had been a long week, just the two of them working locally on the case while the rest of the team followed up from the Navy Yard. If she shot him now, Gibbs would probably ask her what took her so long.
He placed his right arm behind his head and stared at the ceiling, focusing on the birds and Ziva’s soft breathing. Frowning, he looked at her again, and tried to remember if he had heard her snore since they had started sharing a room a week ago.
Maybe it was related to her sleeping position. Maybe if he gently poked her shoulder, she would flip on her back… And before his brain could tell him that was a bad idea, his hand had done exactly that.
His eyes went wide, unprepared for her reaction.
As she flipped over and contentedly nestled into his side, her right arm draped over his chest possessively, and her right leg ended up between his, uncomfortably close to his groin. He glanced at her pillow, at least she no longer had easy access to her gun. Heaving a sigh of relief, her head heavy on his chest, he moved some strands of hair out of her face.
She mumbled something that sounded like birds, and he smiled at the relaxed look on her face.
He gently stroked her right cheek, it really was too early to consider the consequences to his actions, and the soft smile that appeared on her lips warmed his heart more than the brightest sun ever could.
Soon, different birds added different songs, seemingly adamant about waking up the whole word.
Ziva stirred, almost writhing against him, moving her right leg in a way that would get him in trouble if she kept it up for much longer.
Placing his left hand on her shoulder, he softly said her name.
She met his gaze with hooded eyes, and in a voice heavy with sleep, said, “The birds are very loud.”
He chuckled. “Yeah, and you are very wriggly.”
She blinked slowly.
With a lopsided grin, he said, “A few inches more and I’d be accused of red light behavior.”
Ziva glanced down, then at his lips, before locking eyes with him with a sly smile. “That feels like more than a few inches, Tony.”
The way she said his name, the way she looked at him, the way her body felt warm and pliant against his, set every nerve ending on fire. He let out a chuckle, and frowned, wondering if he was fully awake or if this was just another dream.
“Technically,” she said, and licked her bottom lip, “you could accuse me of red light behavior.”
“Why would I do that?” Mesmerized by the tempting look she gave him, he moved his right arm from behind his head and gently placed it on her hip.
“So,” she said in a sultry voice, “when I rub my leg like this…”
His breath hitched, and his fingers squeezed her hip, holding her closer to him.
She traced the stubble on his jawline with a finger, never breaking eye contact. “That does not bother you?”
He blinked, the temptation in her eyes and her movements beginning to cloud his thinking. “Oh no, it bothers me,” he said, and the way she tilted her head and wet her lips, sent a tingle up and down his spine. “It bothers me that there are two layers of fabric between us.”
She writhed against him, while her fingers found their way to his hair, tugging and scratching in the most delicious way.
His right hand slid from her hip to her butt, and he pulled her higher up his body, her face now inches from his, her mouth ready to be kissed.
A sudden rapping on the window startled Tony enough to almost headbutt Ziva as he turned to look at the offending noise. A woodpecker sat at the window, twisting his head this way and that, before rapping his beak on the window again.
“What’s his problem,” Tony said, and looked at Ziva’s confused face.
With the faintest move of her right thigh, a mischievous smile graced her lips, and she locked eyes with him. “I guess I’m not the only one impressed with your morning wood.”
He tangled his left hand in her hair, and guided her closer so he could he finally kiss her. “If I wasn’t so turned on right now, I’d be really impressed with that pun.”

is NCIS worth watching? how does it compare to Rizzoli & Isles? i'm tempted to start it for sasha
hmmmmmm depends on how you feel about police procedurals in general. it’s very cop-show-of-the-week style, a lot more classically so than rizzoli and isles, but imo where ncis shines is its long game focus on the characters. you really get a sense and love for them and you really root for them in different ways, but it’s a long game— i’m talking 20+ episodes and 10+ seasons of American Military Exceptionalism alongside it.
i don’t think i’d really enjoy it nowadays if i hadn’t fallen so in love with it as a kid— Tiva was my first brain-rotting, heart-pounding, “what’s wrong with me that i feel this way about fictional characters” ship and so the show’s always going to be in my heart. but like. half of that ship is a misogynist military cop who was just portrayed as funny and lovable and not like extremely gross and sexist, and the other half is an israeli mossad special agent whose sexual allure is based in how many different ways she can kill a person and how good she is at killing terrorists. so like. i don’t think it will land the same now lmao.
#if you wanted to do the two seasons sasha’s in you can give it a go but#it’s nowhere near comparable to the fun of rizzles#if you just want more sasha for the sake of sasha i much more recommend the season of shameless she’s in#she’s naked a lot and is a sexy professor with dubious morals and i lov her#answered#anonymous

If you get this, answer w three random facts about yourself and send it to the last seven blogs in your notifs! Anon or not, doesn’t matter, let’s get to know the person behind the blog :)
hiya! fun fact, my brain reads your username either as Television Overload like a three named celebrity where you always say their full name Catherine Zeta Jones, or as (because I love nicknames) tv-o like teevee-oh
1. Alto 🤘🏽 used to sing in choir
2. I think Double Stuf Oreos is too much stuff
3. Little Voice (Apple TV+) was a little show I watched early 2021 and it hit me with just the right timing to spin the rambly headcanons into actual fic. I think part of the reason I followed through all the way to posting (for the 1st time ever) is because I love the books/movie/tv where there like. just. a few pages of fic and that's it. but in that small collection there's ones that really match the feeling of reading/watching it and they settle into your heart as this bonus
(then @slippery-soapbox successfully peer pressured me into Pasta Thursday, then you @television-overload know how the teeny Tiva fic happened. just those 3 so far!)
#original oreos have the perf ratio#i squeeze the cookies together and eat the overflow form the middle then chomp on the cookie sandwich#chatty in the tags#also i love people who are chatty in the tags#tv-o

- Rough day? - Rough year.
This is so, so good.
I mean, in a really terrible, punch-you-in-the-gut kind of way, but still.
I just love the specter of Ziva’s presence continuing to haunt Tony. Not that I wish that pain on anyone, fictional or otherwise, but again, I like that it acknowledges the show’s history and Tony’s emotional history, and the Star of David in his desk is a constant reminder of what could have been and should have been. Because it shows us that yes, this did happen, and this is still important, and this person may not be here but she’s still here, and it’s really difficult to deal with that on a daily basis.
Because Tony could have moved that necklace to a safer spot, or buried it deep inside his apartment and avoided it, but he chose to leave it in his desk drawer, where he’d see it constantly and be reminded constantly of her. Because he doesn’t want to forget, and in many ways, he probably doesn’t want to move on even though he knows he should, because she is it and he knows it and it’s really painful to admit that that is probably never going to happen. Abby’s right, he can’t keep living in this limbo, because he’s going to end up as alone and emotionally crippled as Gibbs, and while they all may love Boss, they must know that that’s no way to live, either.
But now that he’s been confronted with his past yet again via Zoe, he’s starting to question what it is he’s doing now. Because now he’s reunited with someone he also has a different kind of history with, and it’s comfortable and familiar and feels nice, and it may be time to admit that the time has come to give up on one dream in order to pursue another kind of dream. One where an old friend comes back to town and is there. (It’s probably no accident that all the talk of Ziva leaving and never coming back parallels Zoe returning to his life in DC and offering to stay the night simply to catch up. One door closes, another opens, etc.) And it’s a testament to Tony’s growth that he opens up to Zoe so easily, and starts to tell her things he obviously hasn’t been able to tell anyone else in his circle this year.
But again, Tony is being allowed to feel the pain of Ziva’s loss, and the loss of what might have had, and everything that goes with that. It took them so long to get to where they were and they nearly lost each other a dozen times and a dozen different ways, that it must have been so hard to think that this time was it. Hell, he went to the ends of the earth to find her more than once and they still survived. An El-Al flight away probably seems like the least likely way to end it so terminally.
“Tony, I didn’t know where you went. One day, we were patrolling River Drive, and the next... You were just gone. You just up and left. Not a phone call, not a single word...
“You needed to find your own way. I never faulted you for that. But I deserve better.”
Okay, so who are we talking about here?
Yes, this is about how Tony and Zoe left things when he left Philly (btw did we know he’d worked in Philly before Baltimore?), but this is totally about what happened in PPF, too.
Because the gist of PPF is that Ziva had to find her own way, too. That she needed to heal herself before she could move on from her own trauma, because she’s never been afforded that luxury. And event though it broke his heart, Tony respected that and that is why he got on that plane a year ago. He probably knew it was a mistake as much as she did, but she said she needed to do this, and he had no choice but to respect her choice. But that doesn’t negate the fact that as far as we know, they’ve had no contact in a year, and at a certain point, he has has to read the writing on the wall. And he deserves better than to be strung along. Which is not to say that he is being strung along, but he can’t keep living in this limbo where he puts his life on hold because he holds onto the dubious hope that she’s going to change her mind and come back. He has to let himself move forward, because he owes it to himself to find happiness, which he never will if he keeps waiting for her.
Zoe may have uttered that line, but it could have easily been said by Tony in any hypothetical reunion with Ziva, too.
I’m not ready to move on, and neither is Tony. But sometimes you have to move on regardless of what you want. And Tony does deserve to be happy, and this clearly isn’t it. So maybe it’s time to try a different reality. He’s a work in progress, after all.
Help this show has broken me.
#12x06#feelings attack#tiva#long post#sigh#i guess this is the nail in the coffin#it's been quite the ride#imagine watching a show for 10 seasons#where the ship isn't confirmed until half of it is gone#that's certainly an original way to do it#speaking of zoe#i like her#and the actress plays the experienced detective role to a T#but that being said#I get way more of a sibling/buddy vibe between tony and zoe than a romantic one#and it's not just my tiva heart getting in the way#don't get me wrong#i like the vibe#it's just more of a buddy vibe to me#which tony needs#because he misses his friend after all#but i know i'm going to have to get over it#THAT being said#i like that tony's new love interest is age appropriate too#that's refreshing

My prediction for Kacy:
Kate has the big grand gesture in private. She then is just waiting for Lucy to respond and the episode and season ends with us not knowing how Lucy responds.
Then the next season picks up a few months later and Kate has been making a name for herself at the FBI. She has been trying to move on but it hasn’t been going well. She had a few months long relationship until they called it quits. Kate has gotten a partner at the FBI. (I don’t think it would be someone from Lucy’s past like that one joke going around the fandom a while back but I would love that) She has been trying to avoid the NCIS team but still hanging out with Jane. We find out Lucy said no and we later get a flashback of what went down in the season finale during the episode (mid season finale) when kacy is kidnapped and forced to talk about everything while trying to escape. Every couple has a mandatory kidnapping arc (densi, TIVA, caskett). There is also a kiss as they are about to die and then kacy part ways without getting together. However, as the episode is about to end Lucy ends up at Kates door with her own big gesture and the mid season finale ends with them kissing.
I don’t know if this will actually happen but I do think that the season will end without kacy back together and we will have them have an angsty arc again in the next season with kate no longer acting like a drowned puppy 💀 Lucy is completely valid but I also want Kate to stop letting Lucy run all over her as well lol. I love Lucy and this is in no way hate towards her. Lucy had her heart broken and is lashing out but kate had hers broken as well and it’s time for that to be explored too.

Tony and Ziva have a tense heart-to-heart on the way home from Somalia.
For the @giveusourtivaprompts August Tiva fic challenge: <1k words involving “Truth or Consequences” and including the line “You could have died.”
Word count: 999
Also available for reading on ff and AO3
_________________
After several minutes of tired silence, Ziva finally speaks.
"You could have died," she says. Her face and her voice are… off, making it difficult to interpret the sentiment behind her words. Is she scolding? Worrying retroactively? Merely observing?
"So could you," Tony replies slowly; now hardly feels like the time to contradict her.
"But that was…"
Tony waits, but she doesn't finish her sentence. "That was what?"
"That was different. There was only me to worry about."
"So?"
"So, I was not…" Ziva looks away, and Tony's heart clenches. Uncertainty and hesitation used to be rare for her, but now she's agonizing over every word.
Without thinking, he reaches over to take her hand, but she jumps and jerks away; he instantly regrets trying it at all. "Sorry," he mutters. "I was just…"
"I know." Her voice, virtually toneless before, is now rough.
They're on a cargo plane, strapped side-by-side into jumpseats and headed for North America. For now, no one else is around to hear them... McGee is slumped in his own seat a few feet away, drooling slightly as he sleeps, and Gibbs is belted in against the opposite wall, awake but too far away to catch their soft voices.
Given how he and Ziva left things months ago and given the way he's already messing this up, Tony wishes that one of the other team members was present to help with the uncomfortable conversation.
"Ziva?"
"What, Tony?"
"Can you finish that thought? 'I was not…'"
Ziva shrugs, still looking away and keeping her hands tightly clasped in her lap. "I was not putting myself in danger for the sake of someone else," she finally answers. "The consequences that followed… they were my burden to bear. I chose to go to Somalia. I knew what awaited me—I knew that I would die. I welcomed it."
Tony's surprised by her words—she has barely strung two sentences together since Saleem brought her into the makeshift interrogation room some twelve hours prior—and for a few moments, he's not sure how to reply.
Unfortunately, Ziva seems to take his silence as agreement, and to Tony's horror, her chin starts to wobble ever-so-slightly.
"Ziva," he says again in a low voice.
Somehow, he knows that she hears him over the roar of the engine, but she doesn't look at him, and he tries again.
"You said you weren't putting yourself in danger for someone else's sake, but that's not true, is it? You went where Eli sent you. It was not your decision to—"
"Enough."
Tony sighs roughly and lays off his least-favorite foreign leader for the moment. "Ziva," he murmurs, "you followed Mossad orders into the desert, right? You may have accepted the mission or whatever, but you can't—"
Ziva jerks her head back around sharply so her eyes can meet his. "It does not matter who gave the order, Tony! I chose to go, and I chose to go alone!"
Her words are suddenly very hard, full of vitriol, and it's a relief to see... maybe the old Ziva is still in there after all. "Alright, alright, fine, going was your choice," he agrees quickly—he fully plans to argue again later when things are not so fresh for her. "But following you was our choice."
"I did not ask you to—"
"Exactly! We've been over this, Ziva, and my answer isn't changing!" Tony lets out a frustrated little laugh, goaded by her stubborn self-flagellation into getting fired up himself. "Are you really so delusional that you think McGee and Gibbs and I didn't volunteer for this trip? Well, okay, I volunteered and Gibbs did, too, but technically, I guess I'm the one who volunteered McGee. But that's not the point… The point is that no, you didn't ask us to do anything! NCIS didn't send us, either—actually, I'm pretty sure Vance expressly said he couldn't send a team. We chose to come, because when someone kills one of our own, we take it personally. Feel however you want about what you did while you were gone—whatever!—but if you're insisting that you made your own choices, you have to accept that we did the same thing."
"But it made no sense! I have not even seen you three in months, much less worked as a member of your team!"
"You really think that matters!?"
"Last we met, I nearly killed you, Tony! I accused—"
"Water under the bridge, Ziva."
Ziva shakes her head, incredulous. "I still do not understand. You thought I was already dead, and yet you came. That is irrational at best."
"Family's not rational. Never has been."
Ziva swallows hard enough that Tony can see it. "Family?" she echoes softly, her ire gone as quickly as it appeared.
Tony relaxes and grins a little, relieved that he's finally getting through to her. "Just stop arguing and say 'thanks for the rescue,' okay?"
"Ha… thanks for the rescue."
And then slowly, hesitantly, Ziva takes his hand.
_________________
"You could have died," Tony says quietly, his fingers hovering millimeters above a small cut on Ziva's cheek, left there mere days ago by Sahar.
Ziva grins slyly, and it's only after she speaks that Tony understands why. "So could you."
Oh, he remembers what she's referencing, something from years ago. "Let me guess…" He does touch her face then, though this time it's cradling her cheek instead of worrying over tiny injuries. "Family's not rational, right?"
"You told me so years ago, Tony, and I have not forgotten."
"Did it ever sink in?"
Ziva looks down at Tali, draped across their laps on the couch and fast asleep with her thumb in her mouth. "I think I understand now. Rationality… it may be overrated."
She looks back up to see Tony smiling at her with incredible warmth. "Yeah?" he checks, his voice soft and free from teasing.
"Yes," she answers firmly.
And then slowly, not-so-hesitantly, Ziva takes his hand just as she did before.

Sugar & Spice
TIVATOBER 2020 // DAY 4
↳ prompt: Pumpkin Spice - rated M (1,255 words)
summary: Ziva makes use of the early morning to bake. Tony is too sleepy to process anything. Established Tiva.
A/N: I took some liberties with the pumpkin spice prompt lol it has pumpkin? in a way? haha very fall-themed, I think. Slightly NSFW, so watch out for that.
read it on AO3 🥧
She tried to find a nearby surface to clean her flour-covered hands, but nothing was close enough or clean enough, so she decided it would be easier to just finish the dough and tidy everything up later.
Ziva eyed the table for a while, processing the time she would need to do that afterward. Half an hour? Twenty minutes? With the bowls used to make the fillings and the various measuring cups and spoons spread across the jam-stained tablecloth, she had made quite a mess without realizing it.
Still focused on calculating the needed time, Ziva jumped a little when she felt his hands hold her by the waist, coming from behind.
"Hmm, what are you doing?" Tony’s voice was slurred with sleep as he nudged his nose in the crook of her neck.
"Baking," was Ziva’s reply, and she felt his chuckle reverberate across her back.
"Yeah, I can see that." He planted a kiss just beneath her ear, and an uninvited chill ran down her spine at the sensation.
"Cinnamon rolls." Ziva let her head fall onto Tony’s shoulder, pulling his hands tighter around her body. She must have got his arms dirty with flour, but he didn't seem to care. His body felt unfairly warm against hers.
She felt him draw back slightly from her neck to look at the mess of the table.
"It's 4 am," he mumbled, a tinge of judgment in his voice.
Ziva looked at the clock to see that it was true, a soft smile appearing at the corner of her lips. She hadn’t realized it was still that early - maybe she had more time to clean everything up than she thought.
"I wanted to make them in time for breakfast."
Tony huffed. "Tomorrow… today? It’s a weekday, don't know if you know this."
"I know. They are for Ducky, actually,” Ziva replied, recalling the conversation she had with him just the previous evening. “He said he missed his mother's ones she used to bake every fall." Ducky’s mother had died last winter, and that detail had stuck in her mind for some reason.
Tony stretched a hand to dip his finger onto a bowl of filling, bringing it to his lips a second later.
"Hmm,” he mumbled as he tasted it. “Sweet."
A spark of pride flickered inside Ziva’s chest.
"They're pumpkin flavored."
Tony kissed the back of her head, then leaned in to whisper in her ear, "I was talking about you, actually."
Another shudder ran down her spine at his words, and Ziva couldn’t stop herself from smiling then, her heart skipping a beat.
He must have sensed her appreciation, though, because Tony started planting soft kisses at the side of her jaw as he pulled her closer, his body now towering her from behind. Some giggles escaped her from the tickling sensation of his still to shave stubble, but that didn’t slow him down.
The kisses quickly turned into nibbles where her neck met her shoulder, and Ziva found herself tilting her head to expose the skin of her throat without thinking. Tony’s tongue swirled over her pulse, and she had to bite her bottom lip to stop the moan that had risen once he hummed against her skin.
"Ah,” Ziva breathed, feeling the heat rise to her cheeks. “Tony. I really want to finish this in time."
"Hm, just go ahead." He nibbled her earlobe.
"Well, I can't."
Ziva felt his hands going underneath her sweater, the warmth coming from them making her head spin.
"Hm, why not?" He mumbled against her neck, just as he softly bit the skin there and then soothed it with a brush of his tongue.
"Well, you prove to be really distracting sometimes." Ziva wet her own lips, feeling a bit breathless with the nonstop attention her neck was receiving.
"Sometimes?"
She chuckled at his smugness and Tony’s hands trailed north under her shirt, his knuckles grazing the arc of her breast.
"Please?" Ziva pleaded, even though some part of her just wanted to give in and let the plans aside for another day.
Tony didn’t help at all, pushing his weight onto her backside. "C'mon,” he said just in her ear, “You need some spice with all that sugar."
One of his fingers brushed agaisnt her nipple and Ziva felt tingles firing low in her belly as Tony started to suck her pulse at the same time. Before she could hold herself back, Ziva’s hand shot up to run her fingers through his hair, and the current length of it made her a little bit more alert.
"How old are you again?” Ziva tried to come back to reality, his breathing still making her feel a little bit lightheaded as it grazed her neck. “A middle-aged uncle making poor attempts at flirting?"
Tony chuckled against her skin, his arm circling her tighter. "Yes. Exactly that.” He planted a quick kiss at her jaw. “Except I'm an only child, sorry."
Kisses restarting at her neck, Ziva almost couldn’t register his words as she let out a moan and Tony’s gripping became more possessive, a low groan muttered next to her ear and he pushed himself again hard against her back.
When his fingers started to play with her sweatpants waistband, though, some sense returned to Ziva, and she inhaled deeply before turning to meet his eyes.
"Tony." She lifted an eyebrow, amused at the slight frown that marked his still sleep dazed face, his eyelids heavy as his gaze darted from her eyes to her lips.
"Fine,” Tony said at last, retrieving his hands after a moment of hesitation from under her shirt. “I'll let you be.” He leaned in to press his lips briefly against hers. “Just come back to bed when you’re done?"
Ziva nodded, smiling softly. "I will do that.” She kissed him again, their noses bumping in the process and making her chuckle. “Thank you."
Tony hummed against her lips, then smiled lazily right before pulling her again for another kiss, this time spinning her to fully hug her by the waist. Ziva let her hands raise to circle his neck, and when her fingers ran again through his hair, Tony let his tongue brush her lower lip.
She broke the kiss with a smile, knowing full well that if they continued, this would escalate into even a bigger mess and a couple of hours wouldn’t be enough to let them get to work in time.
Tony nodded, a sparkle in his eyes, then retreated. His hands lifted to cup Ziva’s cheeks, and he angled her head down to press a soft kiss to her forehead.
"My cinnamon roll," he said, a smile clear in his voice.
Ziva chuckled. "That one was even worse."
"Sorry if I'm not on top of my game before the sun has even risen.” His hands hesitated to leave her, but he took a step back towards the bedroom.
“Catch me in a few hours though," Tony added with a wink as he brushed spots of flour from his forearms and hair.
Ziva’s heart swelled at how adorable he looked, and a smile twitched on her lips. "Love you.” She blew you a kiss in his direction.
Tony watched her for a moment and she wondered if he had changed his mind and would come closer again, but he stayed in his place. He eyed the cinnamon dough still to be made on the table and shook his head, huffing softly.
"I love you, too."

No, No, Please

"They know about this. About us." "No, no. Please. I can't live without you, you know that. I love you. Please." - Draco Malfoy x reader
He stood in front of you, tears streaming down his cheeks as he cupped your chin in his palm, forcing you to tilt your head up and meet his grey eyes.
“Draco, what is it?” you whisper, feeling fearful of what it was he had to say. Of what he was about to admit to you. He leans down and places a hungry kiss on your lips
“They know about this. About us” he whispers and you gasp. You had been so careful, so sure that you had done everything in your power to hide your relationship from his family and from the death eaters, from Voldemort. You had known the risks of dating the son of two of Voldemort’s most trusted Death Eaters and yet you had taken that risk because you loved the blonde, and he loved you too. But being a muggle-born Hufflepuff in the current climate, and even worse dating said blonde was going to get you killed faster than it was going to save you.
"No, no. Please. I can't live without you, you know that. I love you. Please." you whisper to him, pleading with him and he knows, he knows what he’s doing is breaking your heart but he needs you to be safe. Needs you to be out of harms way before he can do anything else, focus on anything else.
“I love you too, my heart. Which is why I’m doing this. I need you to go and be safe. Escape to your family in Europe before they have a chance to come after you and I will do everything in my power to ensure you are not hunted” he says, voice breaking with every word. Tears are streaming freely down your face now. You don’t care who sees you in this moment, you don’t care that someone might catch you. You place one last kiss on his lips and then race off towards Professor Snape’s office. He had offered you an escape when Draco had demanded it. You had no idea what Draco had on the Professor but you didn’t mind in that moment. In that moment you just wanted your freedom and to know that Draco would be okay. It would be almost a year before you knew that he was.

August 2020 Tiva Fic Writing Challenge
I’ve been trying to get back into writing, so here’s my fic for the @giveusourtivaprompts August challenge. Exactly 999 words because that felt like a fun goal to set lol
-.-.-
Ziva was alive.
That information still hadn’t sunk in for Special Agent Anthony DiNozzo as they flew over the Atlantic Ocean in a military-provided aircraft.
All four of them. Gibbs, McGee, Tony… and Ziva.
Tony closed his eyes and steadied his breathing. This looming feeling of anxiety and incompleteness that had pervaded his senses all these months was finally gone. Their team was whole again, and suddenly everything felt right with the world. He hadn’t realized how strange it would feel without her.
You know what they say. You don’t know what you’ve got…
He looked down. Ziva’s battered and bruised head rested on his lap, hair sprawling over his knees in messy, unkempt curls. She slumbered peacefully, thanks to the painkillers and other treatments she’d been given by emergency personnel when they arrived at the hangar. They’d ordered her to rest to allow her body to heal, and when Ziva dazedly stumbled over to the bench where Tony was sitting, preparing for takeoff, he had taken it upon himself to make sure that happened.
They sat in an uncomfortable silence until she grew too exhausted to sit up on her own, at which point she unconsciously leaned into Tony.
If she were in a better state, she probably wouldn’t have even spared a glance in his direction, much less come near him. Things between them were still an absolute mess, and Tony doubted she would ever forgive him. A part of him still felt responsible for what had happened to her. He had pushed her away. From him, from the team, from America. She had been tortured for months and nearly died, because of him.
About an hour into the flight, Tony froze as Ziva shifted in her sleep. After a bit of readjusting, she was laying down as comfortably as possible across the bench, using his legs as a pillow. She wouldn’t remember this, he told himself. This was a momentary reprieve in their constant bickering and lately, loathing. Things would go back to the way they were before when she regained consciousness.
As he stared down at her, though, any feelings of frustration and anger disappeared from the picture. In this quiet moment, uninterrupted by inane arguments and his own self-sabotage, Tony’s mind wandered to the things he refused to admit to himself. Feelings so powerful and so real that they honestly scared him. He hadn’t had time to unpack why he was so intent on avenging Ziva before, but he did now. The truth serum hadn’t left any room to question his motives.
A stray piece of hair fell across Ziva’s face as she breathed steadily in and out. Tony sighed, gently brushing it out of the way with his hand. His thumb lingered a moment longer, brushing softly against her temple. How he longed to hold her, to feel her curls tangled around his fingers as he held her close in his arms. His heart clenched in his chest.
Selfishly, he allowed himself this one moment of weakness. His fingers again found their way into her hair, tousling it lightly and playing with the ends of the strands. Ziva, once stiffened by the many injuries plaguing her body, visibly relaxed at his touch, and he felt a lump forming in his throat.
“Ziva…” he whispered, feeling the tears forming in his eyes against his will. “You could have died.”
His brows knit together in worry and he felt his heart sink into his stomach at the words he hadn’t dared speak aloud. To be honest, he wasn’t entirely sure why he was speaking to her at all right now other than the fact that he needed her to understand how terrified he had been when she was missing. He had to get these words off his chest, even if she’d never really hear them.
Tony looked up to see McGee and Gibbs locked in a conversation of their own across the cargo hold of the plane. McGee was showing Gibbs something on his laptop, and Gibbs nodded along.
Tony couldn’t have cared less what it was they were looking at, just as long as they weren’t paying attention to him. For obvious reasons, Gibbs could never know about what Tony truly felt for his partner, and McGee just wouldn’t understand. Tony hated wearing his heart on his sleeve. There was a whole other side of himself that only existed with Ziva, and he wasn’t sure he was ready for his other coworkers to see it. This was one of those raw, private moments and it felt wrong for it not to be just him and Ziva.
Satisfied that he was as alone as possible in the cargo hold of a military jet, Tony returned his attention to the beautiful woman sleeping in his lap. How could he put in words how she made him feel? How lost he had been when they thought she was dead? How he had realized, suddenly, that he did not want to live a single day of his life without her?
It seemed simple now. He knew why, some part of him always had. His heart beat faster in his chest.
“I need you,” he spoke softly, shaking her slightly. “I need you here with me, okay?” A tear escaped his eye and trailed down his cheek, which he furiously wiped away. He didn’t know why he was getting angry. In truth he was just scared. He had never needed anybody as much as he needed her in his life. The thought of her leaving him again made him feel sick.
“Don’t you understand?” he asked, “I love you!”
Her unconscious form, as expected, did not react to his admission. Tony dropped his head to his chest and let the tears fall.
Someday, he would tell her the right way. He’d loved her for so long and he knew he always would.
Life is short. He had almost missed his chance once. He would not let it happen again.

You Don’t Waste Good
Day one: Favorite line/scene - 05x08 Designated Target, Tiva
Word count: 662
Also FF and AO3
You’ll never get it.
The words had been at the forefront of his mind ever since she had uttered them with certainty and a hint of disappointment.
Tony glanced up from his report. It was getting late and the bullpen had mostly emptied, Gibbs and McGee were tying up loose ends in the lab, Ziva was reading over her report. Studying her face he was reminded of how deeply affected she had seemed earlier, when Sayda found out Thomas had thought she was dead and moved on.
Ziva had never struck him as the type to believe in soulmates and fairy tales, yet she had been in an odd mood ever since her meeting with Sayda, desperate, almost, for a happy ending.
Love never works that way. Nevertheless, he wished he hadn’t given her that look right after the happy ending she had longed for was torn to pieces.
Chewing on his bottom lip, he went back to his report. One more paragraph to check, the old John Hancock, and he was free for the night. Free to go home. Alone.
Nothing sticks to you.
He clenched his jaw, signed the report, and closed the folder. While he had mostly gotten over Jeanne, accepting they never would have worked to begin with, the old feelings he harbored for Ziva were increasingly more difficult to ignore. Having her think he was incapable of being in a committed relationship bothered him more than he cared to admit.
Heaving a sigh, he shut down his computer, and glanced in her direction, only to find her staring at him.
She tilted her head slightly. “What?”
“I’m hungry,” he replied, some of the testiness he had felt the past few days seeping into the words.
“You are always hungry,” she said matter-of-factly, and returned her attention to her file.
He stared for another moment, wondering. Life was full of what-ifs. But what if the few failed dates he had been on since his break-up, and Ziva’s less than subtle fishing were a sign. What if the risk of losing your soulmate due to extreme circumstances, like Sayda and Thomas, was worth it in the end. Sayda certainly seemed to have thought so.
You don’t waste good, after all. And while he and Ziva had the potential to go terribly wrong if they didn’t work on certain aspects of their relationship, their potential for an actual happy ending was too great to ignore.
He grabbed the file and walked over to Gibbs’ desk. Another glance in Ziva’s direction, before placing the file in the middle of the desk, and casually asking, “You wanna have dinner?”
Ziva didn’t bother to look up. “No.”
He narrowed his eyes. “You have to eat, my treat.”
She signed her report, and looked at him with a raised eyebrow.
Tony shrugged. “A peace offering for being so crabby with you lately.”
Ziva pinched the bridge of her nose, then shut down her computer. “Thank you, but I just want to go home.” She got up and placed her report on top of Tony’s, before gathering her things.
Tony walked up to her, and sat on the edge of her desk. “Come on, Ziva, you can tell me more about your thoughts on soulmates.”
Her head snapped up. “Are you making fun of me?”
His eyes went wide. “No, I…” He shook his head. “This isn’t easy for me, Ziva.”
She narrowed her eyes.
“Look,” he started, trying to organize his thoughts. While he wanted her to know they were on the same wavelength, or so he hoped, he wasn’t quite ready to be completely frank and risk everything, either. “Some things are worth…investigating.” He fidgeted with his tie. “It would be a shame to look back on a missed opportunity for something good.”
“Rule five,” she said softly, eyes questioning, as she took a step closer.
His heart skipped a beat and he couldn’t contain his smile. “Rule five,” he repeated with confidence.

I tried to write a tiva OS. English is not my first language .and it’s the first time i wirite an os in English. Sorry If it’s not good. So here it is! Tiva reunion post 17x11✨ hope you like it ❤️
Ziva David had just left the ncis headquarters late at night, her flight for Paris was at midnight which meant she would be “home” at noon. In her heart she knew that Gibbs was right, that she was ready to finally see her daughter and love her life again; but during the flight she kept thinking about the last time she had spent more than an hour with Tony. It was five years ago, what if this new version of her didn’t appeal to him anymore ? What if he couldn’t cope with her anxiety? It was impossibile for it to be true and down in heart she knew it.
Once she left the baggage claim she heard a very familiar voice “ alright Tali smile, we are going to send this picture to Ima so when she lands is going to be the first thing she sees”
It was Tony. Her heart shrunk a bit, there was no going back now. They were waiting for her.
“Tony “ said Ziva but he didn’t turn around, too focused on sending her Tali’s picture.
She called him again. This time in a way she knew he would turn around.
“Very Special Agent Dinozzo”
Tony heard a very familiar voice calling him. It was her. He slowly turned around, putting Tali’s hand in his. The little girl hid behind her father’s back, not really understanding what was going on.
“Ziva “
Tony whispered, his eyes getting watering as he approached her, while his mouth turned into a smile. The steps that separated them felt like an ocean. “Hi” she said when the distance between them was now just a matter of feet.
Tony’s head tilted towards the little girl standing next to him.
“ Tali look, it’s ima. “ Tali was “dressed for the occasion “ .she was wearing a red skirt and a blue jumper, and she had a coordinated bow in her hair.
“Look at you, how big you’ve become !” The little girl didn’t say anything but hugged her mother. Tight. As if she didn’t want to loose her anymore. Ziva smiled, trying to restrain herself from crying. She put Tali’s hand in hers, and looked at Tony’s green eyes, all she could read in them was love and relief.
“Tony ...you are so..”
“What? Old ? I know, I am getting older but hey it’s been quite sometime “ he said with a smirk on his face.
“Loved “
Tony smiled. And kissed Ziva on her forehead. Now they were both home.
