obsessed with the asmr of restocking video but they also fill me with incomprehensible levels of stress bc unpacking every product to put them into plastic bins with minimalist white labels with sans serif font irks me for some reason (like ngl I think laundry detergent pods should maybe stay in their containers with a better seal that a plastic jar with a top that just sits but whatever) and the consumptionismconsumerism whatever is just wild. like I’m not here to commentate or critique their lives but it’s just wild how much I enjoy the sounds but absolutely cannot sit through video without also being stressed
#to deleted probably#alison speaks?#it’s just like I LOVE THE NOISE#BUT BESTIE WHY THE TIDE PODS GOTTA COME OUT OF THE CONTAINER 😭😭😭i know it’s for aesthetic but it’s just so…. stressful for me#so many bins stresses me out#like i know a home for every item is a thing#and it’s organizational and visually nice#but personally it makes me so tense LMAO#anyways

Didn't you tell me to be the guy? "I didn't tell you to be an asshole."- Uncle Jimmy
And for Carmy, those are one in the same. And because the show has been so tight on his perspective as the protag, many viewers have joined on the perspective of seeing everyone but Carmy as an asshole even when they aren't (except NY Chef/David Fields, fuck that guy).
In previous seasons we see more of Carmy's interiority (his memories, his ideas, his intrusive thoughts, his vulnerable moments at the thing), but marginally, we are made aware of how his behavior is impacting those around him.
in season 3 , we get a nice long introspective opener in 3x01 that visually lays out the experiences, memories, and thought process carmy's attempting to synthesize into success to overcorrect after friends and family.
He also does all of this alone.
In the following episodes we see more of the real time misunderstandings and failed efforts to establish and reinforce bonds with ppl not immediately in carmy's kin circle.
At first glance, the faks are doing a lot screentime wise, but I think their presence and the window guys, and even Tina's story highlight the lack of reliability that could happen in Carmy's perspective in addition to how spot on he is abt what is fucked up around the beef/berzatto family.
They show us an affection, and familiarity, and warmth with each other in their sophomoric antics and bonds with each other. All of it looks unprofessional and silly, esp when richie is trying to do so many random things not to thwart Carmy but save some of the atmosphere that makes people want to be there. But we see that ppl in other BOH kitchens have that, which Richie knowss. Cause he's experienced it at the Beef and Ever, even if not all the time with the berzatto siblings.
But I feel vindicated abt the old posts I made abt Carmy being an asshole, not because I think he's bad or I want to see him fail, but because I think he can eventually be aware of himself in a positive way and maybe be better in season 4. but he has to own his shit.
Carmy's genius and youngest child syndrome can passively slide him into a role where he is just accepted as complicated and misunderstood. Carmy is Carmy, no one tells him no really. Syd and Richie are the ones that give him the most pushback (which he desperately needs to listen to). But he got nearly a million dollars to do as he wanted off of love and guilt.
he goes inside himself to figure things out, and waits to be noticed dand interpreted but does not assertive in way that helps him engage. He doesn't see clearly that the success, magic, and joy is in the shared experience (with his siblings, coworkers, supervisor, dating) because he has been in that odd man out role and believes he doesn't belong.
So many people think this is his dream and passion but he literally never says that. Most of his relationships happens through projections he doesn't really clear up because he is so focused on the negative projects he assumes ppl will know about him because of his family and past.
He also tends to make things about himself that are not about him. When it is his familiars, it explodes into something, When it is Sydney or the computer it deflates and gets redirected because no one is coming for him like he anxiously/insecurely believes they are.
Carmy: Is that a shot? Computer: I don't understand. Carmy: Are you giving me shit for not calling people back? Ep. 5, Children, 23:33
Why the hell would the Computer (who is a great organizational professional, i need to look into credentialing like his) take time in a serious meeting to take a dig at Carmy????
Sometimes it seems like he only has genuine convos with Syd & Marcus but I think that is because he sees/projects parts of his chef self in them. Moreso Marcus now than Syd, he doesn't want them to experience and make the same mistakes.
I wish he would have asked the chef's he worked under for advice (on camera, in script) but you know, Carmy does not talk, and we wouldn't have a show if he did everything right all of the time.
I think NY chef just eating "the yeah I did the fucked up stuff on purpose, you're welcome" turned everything on its side in Carmy's brain. But I also think he took that exchange well in comparison to his spirals in the past two season finales.
all the core islands and structures in his head he built and rebuilt around being a successful chef topple. Sitting with all of those actual chefs and listening to them are their kitchen experiences foils his belief that people only gain success through being assholes.
SN: Uncle Jimmy, how is Carmy supposed to know what being the man looks like in a non-asshole way if he never got to work with his brother and didn't have consistent male figures growing up? But also, nobody knows how fcked up NY Chef is outside of the industry so how would cicero know either.
Carmy needs to socialize outside of his immediate family that he grew up around. And actually fucking talk to people. Not just stare and say very heavy one liners related to his inner monologue that are narrowly connected to the present topic.
heeey @currymanganese here is a post with initial thoughtsss

It often feels like you're wearing different masks and I never get to see the real you. Who is the real you?
Sinking down into a cross legged seat, her favorite position to focus and breathe in, Nahi tips her head and thinks for a few moments. “I am not sure there is a set person behind a mask, in my opinion we all have our own layers we adopt for different situations, some are just more dramatic than others.” “If you are asking who I am behind that performer persona, then I am happy to share. I can say that I am confident, maybe a little cocky at times but only as a bleed over from the performer in me.” Pulling back her hair she braids it down over her shoulder as she speaks, “Nice but not overly friendly. I am not too stubborn to admit when I am over my head but I might not admit that I am unless asked.” With a pause she grins wickedly, “I am sexual more than intimate, but I am considering changing that up. There is nothing I hate more than being made to feel stupid, like being willing to burn down someone’s house level of pissed off, I am also really good at not losing my temper, no matter how much I might be scrambling to find matches.” “I am curious about oh so much, but I am unwilling to pry into someone else’s business as I happen to like a good mystery now and then. I am not good at trusting, or asking for help, or painting, or drawing for that matter,” Nahi pauses and then adds, “or any of those visual arts, can’t even arrange flowers well.” Tapping a well manicured finger against her cheek, “I try not to be petty or mean but sometimes it is a real struggle and I slip, ghosts of a past life and all. There is absolutely no magic to me except in my gifts with music, if one wants to consider those magic. I care about my appearance and am a bit of an organizational freak, things have to be folded right, put in their proper place, and I like things displayed that are sentimental to me but there can’t be clutter.” “There you go a little peek behind the ‘Silver Banshee’ and into who Nahilvi is.”

Need to go to bed but couple of things
First: that new animated tmnt movie was super well choreographed and was visually fun. Awful writing though, most I've ever seen a movie date itself with the sheer amount of references to stuff including literal cutouts of celebrities, and they managed to have donny talk about attack on titan not once, but twice. Also they have the same problem into the spiderverse has where noone shuts up ever. Otherwise, ok movie, im sure the latest kids loved it.
Second: I finished the first part of the first section of the Learning With Chloe thing, but the whole thing will be posted all together for organizational purposes. I'll try to do more tomorrow while I continue looking at encyclopedia and textbook formats for reference/ inspiration. Im already pretty prepared for it to garner little interest outside of my friends, but its nice to do worldbuilding and I always love working on projects so I'll at least get alot out of it.

tired
made lots of progress on my point and click adventure game! by lots I mean the characters can now react to if the player has a specific item they care about lol.
am feeling somewhat conflicted about sharing more specific details about it. Part of the reason it exists is to be a surprise for a family member. I'm keeping more detailed logs on a private tumblr for now
am also tired. my interest is very much in learning godot to develop this game, and I feel like it's the most consistent forward momentum I've had with a project. Learning coding now, after some on-and-off flirtations with coding since about 2016, it feels like I'm... actually doing things. I'm struggling, and learning every step of the way, but I'm not floundering and giving up. I get really excited when I'm finally able to piece together a big new piece of functionality!
It's like gamedev in and of itself is like a logic puzzle game. Inheritance, composition, I look at the code I write and think about how can I make this prettier, or how can I make this more readable and understandable?
I think recently trying to really understand my ADHD, and how my brain works, is a key factor here. Before when i was trying to learn Unity in high school, I wasn't aware of what my ADHD was, y'know, actually doing for my attention and motivation, so the interest would come to make something, and then it would fly away the moment i didn't understand a concept.
Now though, I think being aware of my lack of consistent executive functioning means I'm constantly trying to accommodate myself in code. I'm not always 100% successful (I know for a fact today I wrote the same code twice in two places where it should definitely be just one function in a shared parent class...), but learning about these organizational maxims for object oriented programming is rewarding.
I really like the organization of code, the process of refactoring, and the mission to make it really clean and accessible and readable for myself, so i don't get lost. It really is like sitting down with a nice crossword puzzle, or picross, it just gets my brain engaged just right.
I think tomorrow I've got some refactoring work to do. I look forward to that.
Other stuff
my screenwriting isn't happening at the moment, partially because I'm obviously focused on prototyping my game, which is much more immediately rewarding and novel. But I'm chipping away at ideas and outlines. I'm actually toying with turning one of those ideas into a point and click game, or at least a visual novel. I think the budget and time to do so would be much more attainable than doing some of those ideas as a feature length movie. But I don't know really.
It's absurd how much I'd like to be a film writer-director with my ADHD. There's just so much executive functioning required at every step. It's incredibly logistical, with so many moving parts constantly juggling and adapting and stumbling forward. I need to do research on how directors with ADHD are able to live with that as their job.
I don't have anything else to say, I'm just waiting to be tired enough to fall asleep. good night

this post is a fair size already so idk who all will see this, but as a neocities enjoyer and useless-degree-haver who specialized in and has worked in web design— i wanna add some things!
Tips for HTML/CSS and Making Your Site Accessible:
1. validate your HTML and CSS!!!
basically it’s for making sure your stuff works properly! you can search “html validator” or “css validator” to find the appropriate sites, where you can upload your work to be checked!
validator at w3 dot org
2. you can write code in any basic text document. but if you’re new to html and css..
try a free program to help you out, it’s like having the code equivalent of a spell checker. can also help organize and keep your code simple and clean! :>
hell even if you’re not new, it can be nice to help speed up the process and avoid mistakes, so why not.
iirc VSCode is the microsoft visual studio adjacent one for this and is pretty good!
“brackets” is also a big one, because it’s owned by adobe (..and so eats up all the features and innovations of the competing programs they subsume, cough cough).
you can find more alternatives pretty easily with a quick search if you don’t like either of those!!
3. use alt text!!
use alt text on all your images!! this is not only good for accessibility purposes, but also improves the searchability of your site!
if you’re interested in more in terms of searchability, if for example you want to make something like a portfolio site, read up on SEO!
4. make your site readable and accessible— for example, with smart use of color contrast!
while you may be more inclined to use more “aesthetic” color schemes, you really should be checking your color contrast! you should always do your best to make sure everyone can use your site! luckily, there are plenty of sites online just for that.
webaim color contrast checker
link to read more important information on making your site an accessible, disability-friendly space!
w3 dot org quick hand reference to the web content accessibility guidelines
4.5. while there are some fun tempting toys to add to your site (and relive those earlier web days), keep in mind that some of those things died for accessibility reasons! i won’t be able to make an explicit “do/do not” list on every single possible thing. but basically: use your head, be considerate, and check out the web content accessibility guidelines to understand some things to consider!
5. use big enough font sizing!
ok, this kind of also falls under 4?
for your body text, you really don’t wanna go below like 16px— that’s default browser font size! there’s other measurements you can specify that do also scale (like ems) if you wanna look into what they are and how to use them!
contrasting by good use of headers is incredibly helpful, as well!
5.5. font choice in itself can also contribute to accessibility and readability!
things like contrasting a sans-serif header font with a serif body font, for example.
you can see more about specifying fonts in the css tutorial resources like w3schools. you will want to keep an eye out for bits about setting backup/default fonts (for when the viewer can’t see or load your font for some reason— you can, for example, import fonts via google fonts url).
really it’s a simple thing to add, but you can see the listing there about what fonts are like.. “default” browser fonts that pretty much every visitor will be guaranteed to see on their end!
6. by default, most stuff is gonna be responsive (resizing to fit different browser or window or device sizes).
hmm if you’re having issues with text and image and layout responsiveness, you could try adding something like bootstrap framework.
it’s pretty helpful for short handing some things, and helping you get a good layout across any device. particularly if you are totally new to html and css and want some organizational help yknow?
basically it’s just some commonly used files you add to your site and then don’t touch lol. like prebuilt css classes to apply to your divs and style certain things. it’s like having a grid to put your stuff into! it is still used a lot ime, but thanks to browser responsiveness improvements across the board, it isn’t quite as relevant/necessary as it used to be (some of my other points about font and image responsiveness can somewhat fall into this, as well, but i like to be extra safe and feel like it’s good to understand the concept).
7. and always remember, for the love of fucking god compress your images.
uhh i’m sure there’s so much more i could say. ig also if you use contact forms, be careful about how you put them together/be safe. but yeah, w3schools is a great starting point and reference for getting started! they have lots of live examples you can edit and copy/paste if you need help figuring out how to make something new.
but i hope this is helpful (and hopefully readable? i did not sleep last night and am solely running on coffee lol).
have fun stay silly etc etc :>
neocities guide - why you should build your own html website
do you miss the charm of the 90s/00s web where sites had actual personality instead of the same minimalistic theme? are you feeling drained by social media and the constant corporate monopoly of your data and time? do you want to be excited about the internet again? try neocities!!
what is neocities?
neocities is a free hosting website that lets you build your own html website from scratch, with total creative control. in their own words: "we are tired of living in an online world where people are isolated from each other on boring, generic social networks that don't let us truly express ourselves. it's time we took back our personalities from these sterilized, lifeless, monetized, data mined, monitored addiction machines and let our creativity flourish again."
why should I make my own website?
web3 has been overtaken by capitalism & conformity. websites that once were meant to be fun online social spaces now exist solely to steal your data and sell you things. it sucks!! building a personal site is a great way to express yourself and take control of your online experience.
what would I even put on a website?
the best part about making your own site is that you can do literally whatever the hell you want! focus on a specific subject or make it a wild collection of all your interests. share your art! make a shrine for one of your interests! post a picture of every bird you see when you step outside! make a collection of your favorite blinkies! the world is your oyster !! here are some cool example sites to inspire you: recently updated neocities sites | it can be fun to just look through these and browse people's content! space bar | local interstellar dive bar creature feature | halloween & monsters big gulp supreme peanutbuttaz | personal site dragodiluna linwood | personal site patho grove | personal site

Dopp Kit’s History
Posted by John Anthony Law for Copper River Bag Company on 1st Nov 2022
What in the world is a Dopp Kit you ask? I had the same question when we here at Copper River Bag Co introduced our Dopp Kit with our new line of travel bags. After I did a little research, this kit made perfect sense to me and I absolutely had to get one for myself. A Dopp Kit is a small toiletry bag used by both men and women to store grooming supplies. Simple, right? And even more so practical - the more and more I read about it – the more and more I found that everyone should have one, especially me.
Charles Doppelt, a leather-smith from Germany invented this handy little bag made out of leather back in the early 20th century. It was introduced as a “toilet bag”, however, over the years, a more appropriate name of “Dopp Kit” became more and more widely used. In American culture, the word "toilet" has more of a dirty connotation to it. During the second world war, the Dopp kit became widely popular as these kits were introduced into the military. Samsonite purchased Doppelt's company in the 1970s in order to produce and register a trademark on the Dopp kit.
Order a Copper River Bag Dopp Kit https://bit.ly/doppkitsale22
So now that we have a little bit of history on the Dopp Kit, let's talk about some of the uses. Of course, the toiletry bag can be used for its intended use: to store all of your grooming supplies, shaving supplies (for the gentlemen), make-up (for the women...or hey, the men too), toothpaste, deodorant, lotion, shampoo and any other supplies you might need to have within arm's reach while preparing for the day. But overall, in today's day and age, the kit can be used for many other things. Basically, it can be used for anything to keep you organized; can be easily stored in your car, snugly in your suitcase, or carried around as an accessory item.
When traveling, whether it be for an overnight trip at Grandma's or a week long trip across the country, storing your toiletry supplies is essential. They can get messy and there's nothing more frustrating than to find that your toothpaste has exploded onto your freshly dry-cleaned garments, or having to unpack your entire duffel bag because your razor has mysteriously fallen to the bottom of the bag - or, in my case - inside of a sock (yes, this happens often, I don't know why...but not anymore!). So this is why it's important (and classy) to have a nice little organization to sometimes hectic traveling.
What are Dopp Kits made out of? Of course, the first dopp kit was invented out of leather but as time went on may other materials constructed this handy little bag. Sometimes very cheaply. When we here at Copper River Bag Co launched our travel bag line, we searched for some of the best materials out there. It was decided that an 18oz cotton duck material which is water resistant and will not tear on you would be the most practical for today's world. Inside of the kits are two organizational compartments, so that you can organize the toiletries appropriately for easy access. The rust-proof zipper makes the interior easy-to-access without the struggle that comes with lower quality zippers. Easy to grab and go with a Chocolate Lattigo leather handle on one side of the bag also adds a nice visual accent.
Our Dopp kits have a balanced mix convenience and classiness that fits in perfect with what we need when on the road or, of course, when in the bathroom. There's no way you can go wrong when you're super organized during your travels – no matter if it's down the street or on the other side of the world.

How To Create Interesting and Informative Infographics: Part 2
Should we be creating infographics?
When creating an infographic, the first question to consider is what it will be used for. What is your motivation for creating an infographic, and what is your goal? If you answered ‘because everyone else is doing it and it might go viral,’ you are incorrect.
The correct response would be something along the lines of “We have this extremely intriguing, but complex data, and we want to convey it in a way that’s easy to understand.”
Perhaps you conducted a survey or would like to demonstrate a model or method. There are a variety of reasons why you might want to create an infographic. Make sure it’s about the data and not just for the sake of having an infographic. At the end of the day, it’s nothing more than a tool for exchanging information. Don’t try to force it.
When may an infographic be appropriate?
When it’s easier to show something visually than write about it
When you have a clear purpose
When the information you want to spread is genuinely interesting
When you can ensure the end result will be excellent quality
When you have the budget to do all the above
Types of infographic
There are different types of infographics, depending on the information you may want to show. Let’s look at a few examples:
A timeline
Perhaps you wish to show information in chronological order. These are the infographics that will guide you down a road – usually time-related (obviously) – that will answer your questions about “who,” “what,” and “when.”
Read Full Article: https://hrtechinfo.com/featured/how-to-create-interesting-and-informative-infographics-part-2/
Relationships/hierarchies / structures
It might be difficult to quickly and properly describe how things are related to one another. Infographics can aid in the comprehension of such data. One example might be a company’s organizational chart (organigram). It could depict the overall structure as well as the relationships between job positions.
Making sense of data
Data can be presented in a variety of ways, displaying everything from patterns to trends and forecasts. Numbers always tell a story, but to make sense of them, they must be interpreted. That’s what an infographic does for you. Some visualizations will be more effective than others. As a general rule, it’s best to adhere to tried-and-true techniques of displaying data rather than trying something altogether new. Keep in mind that you want your infographic to be understood first and foremost. The Data Visualisation Catalogue has an excellent summary of the most prevalent approaches to showing data.
Describing the abstract
Processes, plans, and concepts might be difficult to articulate or convey in words at times. It may be the simplest method to convey the abstract concept if you take a step back and contemplate how to portray it graphically. For example, an infographic that walks the viewer through the process step-by-step could be a simple yet effective method to deliver a ‘How to Guide’ (think Ikea instruction manual).
What’s inside – describing contents
How something is built – the elements that go together to make it – is another type of information that lends itself nicely to visual representation. If we can’t look inside an object, an infographic can help us do so by breaking it open and explaining what’s going on within.
Gathering of information
Less inspiring are lists of information, but in certain instances, a list-style infographic can work well. Just make sure there are some strong visual elements used as part of the design, such as a visual representation of some of the items on the list.

Let's Get This Weekend Going
Daily Reflection Friday, 2 February 2024
Things I'm Grateful For:
The study planner I bought has definitely been nice, so far. I got the Kokuyo Campus Weekly Visualized B5 paper set and one of their binder notebooks to put it in. I can't wait until next week when I get the full spread at once. I think this will be great for helping me plan things out better.
Highlights:
I'm really happy with how much I've been able to get done today. Getting most of a long to-do list checked off by 4:30pm is pretty impressive by my standards as of late.
Challenges:
I fully expect to have to email my Communications teacher Sunday night about the discussion post, explaining that unless the extra response on my own thread counted, I couldn't do both because there just weren't enough threads posted for me to respond to; I shut my computer down for the night at 8 so I can sleep, and if there aren't responses available by that time, there's nothing I can do. However, I don't feel that I should be punished for others procrastinating, as we've known about those posts for almost a week by that point.
Emotions:
I hate being bottlenecked by others not doing their share of things, but that's what's going on for Communications right now.
Today's To-Do List:
Complete
Replace broken litter box.
Copy notes for Organizational Behaviour.
30 minutes of housework.
Finish Access Module 1 for Computer Apps.
Read Chapter 5 Summary for Accounting.
Chapter 5 Smartbook review for Accounting.
The first response to the Communications discussion post.
Chronological and functional versions of my working resume.
Incomplete
The second response to the Communications discussion post (waiting on others to do their posts in the first place).
Start Assignment 1 for Marketing.
Tomorrow's To-Do List:
Clean bathroom.
Read Chapter 6 Summary for Accounting.
Chapter 6 Smartbook review for Accounting.

Sigma's Game Recommendations
Hii, here's some of my game recommendations with a lil blurb on why.
Games are ordered relatively neutrally, except for this first section...
Life Altering
Undertale - Multi Platform - RPG - Oh, Undertale. What is there to say about it that hasn't been...I played this day one because a friend lent me a copy from their steam. I had never heard of Undertale beforehand, but my god, would I know of it. It is a quirky little game about making friends (unless...?) and has excellent music, storyflow, and characters. I am admittedly...not a fan of the battle system, but it is unique and fits the game, so *shrug*. I acquired a permanent brainworm in the form of Gaster from this, so there's that too.
Sonic Mega Collection - Collection - Look, Sonic was my first fandom, and when the smoke clears, it will be my last fandom. Mega collection is great to dip your toe in every major sonic game made before Adventure. I'm a big Sonic 2 fan, but don't mind a little S3K as well.
Sonic Unleashed - Wii/Xbox 360 - This may be a rose tinted glasses thing, but Sonic unleashed is apologetically cool and fun to play. Especially the werehog stages. Solid story, solid gameplay, solid music. I love this game and I will kill for it.
Spore Creatures - DS - Spore, but only the creature stage as a little planet exploring game. You evolve your critter as you travel and make friends and enemies. Its a fun little ditty that I love revisiting to see my favorite biomes and aliens. I go crazy for this game ngl
PC, Windows
Golden Treasure: The Great Green - Visual Novel/Point N' Click - I picked this game to play because you can play as a dragon, but was kept playing in by the game play depth. Has very good replay-ability, some very interesting story beats, and some different walks of life you can take. I like the art style and the difficulty as well. Admittedly a bit spiritual, with some very flowery language that may be a bit difficult to digest sometimes, but I think it's truly worth it for a new spin on dragons.
Purrgatory - Visual Novel/Point N' Click - Wonderful thoughtful short game with great music and humor, and stories to discover. Emotional at times, but its a game literally about purgatory. And it DOES have a nice neat ending instead of leaving loose ends.
How to Raise a Dragon - RPG - Short pixel game about growing a dragon. Has 3 paths you can take, and you can customize your color and breath power :3 I always make my dragon blue or white!
Deltarune - RPG - Goofy ass game, but very solid. By the same people that brought you Undertale and more! Currently a demo with only 2 chapters, but looks very promising so far. I love the battle system and overworld sprites. Spamton specifically fucked up my perception of this game so now i see it with rose tinted glasses forever.
The Murder of Sonic the Hedgehog - Visual Novel/Platformer - Short, cute little game that showcases some character personality of some of the Sonic cast :) Very very goofy.
Spore - Its spore. - Ngl, I only play up to the creature stage and then start a new save.
Portal 2 - Puzzle/Platformer - Its a valve game, what's not to love. Funny, Nice atmosphere, goofy characters, lesbian romance, confusing puzzles! It has it all!
Dragon Creek - Pet? Game? - Horse game, but dragons. Fairly light in gameplay, but solid. I'll occasionally spend 30 minutes to take of a dragon.
A Little to the Left - Puzzle - Organizational game. It probably has a story, but i like puzzle :) Cute art style and has puzzles with multiple solutions.
Deponia - Point N' Click - Decently long game that's definitely made in 2014. Has a few lel edgy humor moments (i know for sure r slur is said at least twice), but for the most part is a pleasant play gameplay wise.
Pajama Sam: No Need to Hide When It's Dark Outside - Point N' Click - Oh man, I was a huge fan of all Humongous Entertainment games as a kid, but I think the dark, "mature" aspect of this pajama sam game drew me in. And sam is also a snarky little kid lol. Juvenile, but honestly still a fun play. Solid game to play if you wanna see if you like point n clicks.
Web
Flight Rising - Pet Game - You can dress up dragons, train them to fight, breed them, change their appearance, and collect hoards of items and familiars (lil pets). Your dragons CAN NOT die! PLEASE PLAY FLIGHT RISING WITH ME PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE
GPX Plus - Pokemon Clone - The only pokemon clone I've actually stuck with playing. Fairly easy to get into. I mostly play just to hatch eggs, but there are battles and quests you can do. I really like the layout, and I like that I dont have to get on the forums to play.
Rescreatu - Pet Game - I don't actively play this game, but i have to recommenced it on gameplay alone. You can find eggs to hatch pets, and while your pets can die, getting food to keep them fed is fairly easy. There's a ton of pets with all kinds of life stages you can collect. You can play by yourself, but its easier to get pointers from older players on the shoutbox. Its. Ok. I spent a good chunk of my childhood on here so it might be a nostalgia recommendation.
Felisfire - Pet Game - Its about breeding alien cats, with some other spaceship lore tossed in. I've been playing this on and off for a long time. It takes a hot minute to get into, as its breeding system is a little involved, but its a nice game to have in your back pocket for an hour of so on a rainy day.
Khimeros - Pet Game - Besties idk what goes on here tbh, ive been opening this game once a year for 10 years, breeding things and then leaving <3
Console
Super Monkey Ball 1 & 2 - Gamecube - Funny monkey balancing game. Difficult, keeps me entertained with some cute graphics, music, and fine motor controls.
Spyro, Enter the Dragonfly - Gamecube - This game fucking sucks, but that's the fun of it. Was my one and only Spyro game for a long time, so I grew to love it. I like the idea of it.
#game recommendations#ok im tired of reaching into the depths of my mind for recs#if i find more ill edit#i thought about recommending some otomes but that might get its own post#critter thought#holy shit you can edit tags without deleting them????????#fresh.snow#the fucking search will NOT infec this post it makes me so sad#adding to pinned here in a sec

Vash's own answering smile is relaxed; he can understand things getting moved around and getting lost beneath piles of other stuff over time. He's not completely prepared for the sight that meets him, and the comment escapes before he has the opportunity to pull it back: "Oh."
Not... concerning. At least. It's all very doable, and the more he makes a long visual sweep of the area, the more confident he is in his occasional nodding. "Okay, yeah. Can totally get this done in no time." He's not sure he means that, and his organizational skills have been called into question more than once, but he'd learned! He'd had to, in order to get everything stored nice and safe for travel! And quick get-aways, but nevermind that.
There's absolutely no reason to roll up his sleeves, and it probably looks silly, but that's fine. "Books first, then? We'll get them out of here and we'll have enough room to move around other stuff."
Blankets last, he decides to himself. Mostly because he's not sure he's actually going to un-pile them before falling right into them later after all the work is done. It's a decent goal to work toward, he's pretty sure.
"It shouldn't be too difficult; most of it's just old books and odds and ends." The potions supplies at least had been kept neat and tidy in the potions lab. She drops her hands, gesturing a little sheepishly towards the guest room as she heads that way with a tired smile.
"My friend helped me put things in here and as you'll see he, ah. Forgot I can't fly." At least nothing was piled to the ceiling, and most of it would be easy to move around. She tugs the door open and leads him the few steps into the room before waving a hand. "The books there, they can go into the living room. I'll put them away on the shelves later. Those over there, they're just boxes. We'll put them in the garden shed? And, ah."
She squints at the pile of blankets and other things. "Well, those are just blankets. You can use those as you like, once they're not a pile anymore."

9 Benefits Of Project Management In A Nonprofit Organization
9 Benefits Of Project Management In A Nonprofit Organization
Every NPO (Nonprofit Organization) has an important individual mission to accomplish. Therefore, you have initiatives, events, and campaigns to plan, and relationships to foster. And your NPO’s success depends on how efficiently you manage these tasks. Project management is an NPO’s best friend for yielding the best results. This tool can be utilized to complete projects efficiently with your company’s primary goals in mind. Read more for a list of 9 benefits of project management in an NPO.
Time And Resource Management
It’s crucial to manage your NPO’s time for each project. Running overtime can negatively impact a project’s success, extending to budget and resources. Good project management and planning keep projects on track. An example is the ordering and delivery of required goods and resources. Project planning aids in making sure you order items timeously, despite potential mishaps.
Resources include people. Your employees and volunteers are your backbones, so have information about them, their experience, and their education. How can someone contribute to the cause? What operation suits them best? For example, a volunteer interested in social work could ask you if an MSW degree is hard. Project management includes having information about the role of social workers and other specialists in your NPO. Project contribution records also help to acknowledge workers’ special contributions.
Budget Management
NPOs are generally working with limited funds to accomplish large goals. And their budget is less predictable than for-profits, with profits going straight back into the company’s mission. Managing your budget carefully helps in both the short term and the long term. NPOs, without adequate planning and structure, tend to organize funds only for specific projects. The components of project management help you to visualize your bigger picture and long-term goals.
Project management helps to use donations, grants, etc. to their full extent. Mastering project management takes time and effort. But once mastered, your NPO can save time, resources, and money.
Risk Management
Another management benefit of project management is risk analysis. Your chosen mission is deeply relying on you for constant support. Your NPO is accountable to your cause - it’s the solution. And greater society is also dependent on you.
Project management can help to analyze potential risks based on past experiences and mistakes of both your NPO and others. Adequate project management involves risk analysis at every step of the way.
Goal Orientation
Project managers are great at helping you to stick to your business plan and set reality-based goals. They ensure your system is followed, deadlines are stuck to, and milestones are achieved. Project management allows for the more efficient and quicker accomplishment of goals. If your goals are specific, measurable, and clear from the beginning, your NPO can take on more work in the long run. Clear goals help to determine what is essential for the running of each project and what is “nice to have”. If your goals are structured, your NPO coordination can run more smoothly, resulting in ultimate success!
Control And Efficiency
Furthermore, this systematic, timely, and organized structure gives one a sense of control. A better quality project is the direct result of project control and efficiency. And control can set everyone at ease, reducing stress levels for all involved. Good project management techniques include monitoring each step of the project process. NPOs usually start with a passion for a particular cause. This doesn’t necessarily mean the creator is business-savvy or has organizational qualities from the get-go. Project management encourages the development of these qualities for overall success.
Success Tracking
Success tracking occurs through deep project success analysis. What went well? What were the strengths of this project? What can we do differently next time? These are all necessary questions to ask yourself once your project has concluded. This, therefore, allows for future adjustments. Even if things don’t go quite as planned, you have acquired knowledge to help you in the future. This project closure allows you to sign off and put the project to rest, and move on to your next big endeavor. But success tracking also needs to be done while the project is still underway. Project management involves evaluating and making adjustments while the project is running. This way, you can keep learning, growing, and improving rapidly over time.
Employee And Volunteer Satisfaction
As mentioned previously, your employees and volunteers are the backbones of your NPO. An NPO would be nothing without their enthusiasm, hard work, and passion. Managers and directors of NPOs often assign work over an employee’s or volunteer’s capacity. This inevitably leads to burnout, work fatigue, resentment, lack of enjoyment, and generally losing steam.
Project management encourages everyone to be on the same page regarding their respective roles and duties from the start. This is a result of proper preparation, specified time allocation, and the encouragement of direct communication. Managing a project also efficiently helps reduce the overlap between employees’ and volunteers’ efforts in various projects at once.
Company Longevity
All of these benefits result in the combined benefit of company longevity. Each project must align with an NPO’s ultimate goal, which is to make a huge change in the world. Project management clearly portrays whether or not each project is truly serving your chosen cause. The past, present, and future success of endeavors can be measured better. And strategizing is made easier. One’s ability to manage a project determines the likelihood of success. A project manager ensures everyone does their part, and that the work is completed timeously and within budget. This promotes the resilience and longevity of your NPO, which we’re sure is of utmost importance to you. The longer your company lasts, the larger your positive impact on the world becomes. My House Plans Pt.1
I’ve decided to do this in parts because it’ll be easier to make a post about different sections of our house instead of all of it in one long ass post.
Our house has 4 bedrooms and when I was originally searching for a house I only wanted two or one but, I absolutely fell in love with our house when I seen it on zillow lmao. I could’ve manifested for it to have 2 bedrooms but we’ve found a use for each of the 4 rooms. The master bedroom is ours ofcccc, then there’s two “medium” sized rooms and one will be my nail room and the other the gaming room and the smallest room will be a little home office.
Master Bedroom
Our bedroom colors are black, white and an accent color that we might add later on. I’ll show y’all pictures from the internet so y’all get the vision in my head. We are planning on putting up big framed pictures of us like little family pictures. I’m super excited for that. The black bedframe/headboard below is the exact one i ordered and when i tell y’all i have been DREAMING of a bed like that omg i’m so in love with itttt. I ordered two of the mirrored nightstands to go on the sides of the bed and i’m trying to find a similar mirrored dresser to go below our tv. My boyfriend was set on that rug off of amazon lmao so that’ll be in our room as well. I think we’re gonna go basic with little light fixtures on the nightstands but there’s a fan with a light already in our room but I thought smaller lamps would be nice. I also want to add a vanity to our room for myself of course. It’s just gonna be your simple white slick looking vanity and I’m going to buy a tons of cute organizational thingsssss!
Nail Room
I am THE MOST excited about my nail room, being a nail tech has always been an interest of mine and i’m so excited that I can do it from my home!! I plan on going super simple with white and pink and glitter here and there lol. I was thinking of having different themes for every month, like something to go with the month or just switch it up a bit. There’s some pictures below so y’all get the vibessss. I don’t want to go super plain and I’m definitely gonna add my own flair, I want to make it a safe and comfortable space for whoever walks in. I’m gonna have snacks and sell cute little nail/beauty accessories and i want to eventually do giveaways and just give a way tons of nail/beauty products!! I found these pictures on pinterest.
Game Room
Me and my boyfriend came up with the vision for the gaming room together because we both play video games lol. We stayed up last night playing fortnite, we were like on opposite sides of the air mattress, he was on his tv and i was on mines. (For anyone wanting to know he plays the ps4 & im on xbox). The gaming room is going to be straight vibesss! We’re gonna have LEDs just around the border of the top of the wall, he wants to put a mini fridge lmao and we’re gonna have our gaming chairs, a mini couch and bean bagssss! Below are some more pictures from pinterest. I don’t know if I want our chairs side by side, im sure he will lol and idk if he wants us to just have two PCs or two tvs or one of each but i’ll let him figure that out because i’m good either way and i don’t know too much about PCs anyways.
Home Office
I haven’t put too much thought into the home office because in all honesty that small room might just be used for something else such as a workout room or just another bedroom. But here are my ideas for the office: i’m thinking real simple (if you couldn’t tell by now i think things plain and simple with a touch of my own flair) i wanna go completely black for the office, meaning everything in the room will be black besides the actual room. My home office needs to give “come to my office” ✋🏾😭 I need classy business woman vibes.
Should Part 2 be kitchen or bathroom?
I have so many ideas filled in my brain lol, i think blogging about them will help me clearly organize and visualize exactly how we want our house to look. I’m so excited about decorating and we haven’t even fully unpacked 😭😭! I’m in class rn so it’s the perfect time to blog so message me, send me asks i’ll be active for the next couple of hours. If you have any ideas or suggestions for any of my rooms lmk. I can’t say i’ll go through with each suggestion but i’ll definitely keep an open mind

How do you organize to write your fics? How is your writing process?
I have the ideas and nowhere to start
You're so freaking talented, i love every work of yours
First off, thank you so much, anon! you're so sweet! i'm so glad you enjoy my writing so much!
second, i totally get it! it can be super overwhelming to start out, especially if you have a lot of ideas.
the creative process is different for everyone, and so is the organization process for that. im sure that there's a lot of things people do that are similar, but no two writers are going to be the same in their approach to organizing their projects, so what i do may not work for you or it may only work for you to a small degree.
in the last year, @ghoste-catte mentioned using trello as an organizational tool, and i started to use that! Here's a screenshot of my boards:
each card opens up and you can include checklists and there's also a section for comments, which i use for notes and for links to research. i could probably use trello more than i do, but i do like it because it gives me a good visual representation of each of my projects. i also have all of these alphabetized.
this is just one tool i use however. i'm also a chronic notebook and various colored pens buyer. i have individual notebooks for all of my fics--shorter fics i'll either combine with other fics in a specific notebook or if they are especially short or low maintenance, i'll just put them in one of my catch-all notebooks which are less organized notebooks for random thoughts, ideas, research, etc. i also have a handful of nice notebooks set aside for worldbuilding elements which don't have any fic specific plots, just straight worldbuilding.
with these notebooks, i like to also use those colored pens to keep track of things too. i'll use like a generic black for general notes, but then i might use other colors for specific things. like TAoL timeline use different colors for each PoV to line up when the events take place.
stickers, sticky notes, and any other office supply that can be used to create organization is also really great. i like making check lists and things, having notebooks, and so on because i like the visual representation of what im working on
in addition to notebooks, i of course have my various notes documents for each fic. i tend to organize my fic documents as well. anything that's a large, ongoing project with lots of research gets its own folder because i'll make a separate document for notes, plus i often make timelines and other things as well. below is a screenshot of my WIPs folder (i need to reorganize it because there's two in here that need to get moved into the complete folder which is in a separate section):
so this is another visual representation of my projects for me. i can easily see what's a standalone piece, what's not research heavy, and so on.
i also have a document where i keep JUST my ideas so i don't lose anything and then i can skim through to see what i might wanna work on if i need a break from what i already have.
i don't know what sort of writing you want to do, but if you're planning to do worldbuilding, i strongly recommend organizing that and taking extensive notes and keeping every. single. site you used for research. i cannot tell you the amount of times i was researching something, didn't think much of it cause it was a one off line, and then needed to recheck it only to struggle to find the exact thing i'd used.
the other thing with worldbuilding is consistency. worldbuilding can get out of hand fast if you're not keeping track of what you've come up with. for me, i got to the point where i really did need special notebooks just for worldbuilding; i got to the point where i needed a map, so i could lay out the entire landscape and all the specific communities and cultures, all the geography and climates. there's just too much to not have something to easily reference.
and because i do so much worldbuilding, i essentially treat every fic i write as though its just an alternative universe of the setting ive built. so every canon set gaalee fic i write all follows the same worldbuilding, which 1. makes it easier and 2. allows me to revisit the worldbuilding ive done and expand where it needs to be expanded.
another thing i like to do--though im not always great at it because creativity is unpredictable--i like to make lil wordcount daily calendars to help me stay on track. while it wasn't perfect, it helped me a lot this summer to get PFL and RtS finished, to get all my Horror Fest pieces done, and to not lose focus and be distracted by other things I wanted to work on. so setting a goal of like 1k words a day can really help you with getting stuff written.
with having a lot of ideas, i think that's fantastic, but it can get overwhelming because you don't know where to start.
my suggestion is to lay out the ideas you have and maybe organize them. what's going to be the quickest to write? what's the shortest story? what's the most involved? then the really important question is asking yourself what you're most excited to work on.
personally, i would start with the thing you are most excited about. write down all your ideas, but focus on one while you're figuring out what works for you, and then if you hit a point in the process where you need something fresh you can look at your ideas and start something else.
i personally prefer having multiple things going on at once because i sometimes need breaks. writing is fun, but it's a lot of work, and sometimes you need to take a break from one project because that particular project is just giving you a hard time. so it's nice to be able to switch between things--at least for me.
again, you might be someone who needs to work on one thing at a time, but you won't know until you try, and i think the biggest right now is that you just need to jump in there and do it! it's overwhelming, but you have to start somewhere to start figuring out what your writing process is like and what organization system works best for you.
once you get to the writing part, the rest will start to come!
speaking of the writing part: after years of writing, i have settled into being what i call a discovery plotter. there's writing terms like 'pantser' and 'plotter, 'gardener' and 'architect' to describe how you write--do you write without any planning and let it all happen organically (ie pantser, gardener, discovery writer) or are you someone who needs to have everything planned out (the plotter or architect)?
for me, i am not a fly by the seat of your pants kinda writer. plotting is vital to the types of stories i tell, but i don't like being limited either. sometimes things change. sometimes the plot doesn't work the way you think it's going to. so i like to leave room, ergo discovery plotter.
with this, method of writing, i like to know all the key beats. like what's the starting point and what's the end point? what's the major turning point? who are the key players?
i like to leave the middle of my stories more loose, but i still have an idea of like 'okay i know to get from point A to point Z i need this and this to happen' but i also know that i might need to add more or move things around. so i like a road map, but i like to change things up too, leave room for that organic writing to come in.
but especially for longer form writing and more complex plotlines, you want to be solid on things like the conflict, the turning points, important character beats, and so on because you can and will get lost. for me, knowing the ending is actually vital to a successful story because knowing the ending means i can figure out what the turning point(s) needs to be. if i don't know what my goal is, then i don't know how to reach it or stay on track.
the other big thing with my writing process: the editing process.
my writing process consists of anywhere from 50-65% of just editing, on average. i think i spend a good 15-30% on research (depending on the project), and the rest is all the actual writing. the writing part is honestly the part you do the least when actually writing. editing takes up the majority of your work, and editing is, in my opinion, crucial to a good story.
i tend to edit as i write. so depending on where im at with a story, im either going to be straight writing all day, or im going back over a piece to re-read and edit, so i can continue where i left off. if i haven't touched a story in a long time, then i know the first thing im gonna do before i write any new words is re-read and edit.
it's really really important to be super familiar with the story you're working on, and re-reading it both to read it and to edit it is really going to help you to understand if the story is flowing correctly, if the pacing is right, if the characters are consistent, if their choices make sense, and if your point a to point z is making sense. it doesn't need to necessarily make sense to the reader right away, but to you it does need to make sense. the readers will understand everything once the story is done.
editing is often a brutal process because sometimes it does mean cutting out a part you deeply love--for that, i just throw whatever i cut out of something into a scraps document because you never know when that one line you had to sacrifice might be able to be repurposed somewhere else! i think doing that makes it easier to be brutally honest with your editing process and can really help you streamline your writing.
anyways, i really hope all this helps. im tapped out for the time being, but my inbox is always open for writing questions! i look forward to seeing what you write anon!
