The Ultimate Enemy ends a bit differently. Though Danny does still overcome his evil future self, Dan leaves him with a few parting gifts for his trouble.

Danny is thrown into another universe, and his obsession is distorted. Where it once was Protection, now all it is is Violence. One last-ditch attempt by Dan to make Danny into a monster like him.

However, Danny’s human mind is still intact. So despite feeling the perpetual urge from his ghost half, he can keep it in check. Somewhat.

But not entirely.

So he becomes a Rogue. He doesn’t like it, but what else can he do? He needs to do something.

Of course, he does his best to minimize real harm, to focus his attacks on those that deserve it - the polluting factories, the corrupt businessmen, and all others that exploit people. He tries to eke out as much nourishment for his core as he can from the engagements, especially the fights against the heroes that come to stop him.

But it’s not enough. He still knows he’s causing harm and hates every second of it, even as his obsession sings at being fed.

The heroes notice. How could they not? A powerful, young, villain who clearly doesn’t want to be doing what they’re doing but seemingly can’t stop? There must be something else going on. Some force pushing him to do this.

And they’re going to save him from it.

I felt like it was about time I gave Mario and Luigi an emotional support animal a new friend. So I figured why not bring a Yoshi into the mix? Now read my ramble explaining the Yoshi’s ENTIRE backstory! :’D 

Mkay, so you see, the Yoshi’s used to be a lot smaller and they would just lazily roam around and eat fruits and veggies all day. But then at some point they discovered this island that lay in the middle of a giant river..

Now, something about this island made all the plant life that grew on it to be HUGE, and full of the same power that superstars have. All the Yoshi’s from across the land gathered on this island and ate until their hearts were content. The food they were eating was so rich in vitamins and full of so much power, that over a few generations they grew to be giants. And they became a lot more intelligent as well.

Eventually, word got around that this island had super food growing on it. So the Toad people started to cross the river and take some of the plants for themselves. But the Yoshi’s? Oh they didn’t like that. They didn’t like people that they were no longer familiar with coming onto their island and taking their food. So they fought back. The Yoshi’s were so big and so aggressive, that they were quickly labeled a dangerous species. And Yoshi’s island was deemed a lost cause due to the number of casualties that were had in trying to explore it. Since then no one has step foot on Yoshi’s island. And the bond between Toads and Yoshi’s was officially broken...

That is until Mario and Luigi show up of course. Naturally these idiots fell into the river and washed up on Yoshi’s island. They were super lucky that the Yoshi that found them was a gentle creature at heart, and took a liking to the brothers. After carrying them to the other side of the river, this Yoshi decided to leave his home to ensure that Mario and Luigi made it back safely. 

And after returning the brothers to the Mushroom Kingdom? Yoshi just.. never went back. Mario and Luigi were his home now.

Even a hero needs some hope

A cult is trying to summon ghosts and trap them inside the bodies of their members as a power boost thing (like how overshadowed humans can phase and fly and whatnot, except here the human is in control and the ghost is suppressed)

They’re not trying to summon any particular ghosts for this—they figure any ghost should work—but by coincidence one of the ghosts pulled through happens to be one Danny Phantom.

The summoners don’t immediately notice anything weird about him; as far as they can tell, the process worked just fine. However, Danny finds that attempting to transform back into a human now instead puts him in control of the current human host’s body.

It’s not enough to fully free himself yet—he’s still tied to the body and can’t just leave—but, since they just handed him perfect disguise, why not sow some chaos?
