Yixing was wearing a shirt and pajamas and you were wearing one of his shirts with shorts. His arms were wrapped around you on an embrace, talking about the stupidest things about the video. - You liked days like this, chill and relaxed. He has been working so hard, you just want him to rest at least once.

You put your lips around his chest, you were still watching the video. He felt flustered with what you did, but didn't question you, but his attention went to you, looking at you in the eye.

"You're my resting place. Forever in my heart" The hardworking sheep smiled at you so peacefully, something you don't really see with him often.

Baekhyun

You guys were in the living room, he was playing a video game. This one was pretty chill and in the console too, that is why he's in the couch with you, but he is still pretty serious with it. You were also doing your thing, playing a game on a handheld console.

Then minutes later, you paused the game, going near your boyfriend, pulling him into a tight embrace. He was shocked at what you did, ended up with him getting killed. His brows furrowed at your action.

"What-" Before he can even get into gamer mode Baekhyun, you leaned on his chest and gave him a short kiss on it, still holding on his waist. You pouted on him, you were deprived of his attention in the last few... hours?

"This is why I love you." His brows turned straight at his anger replaced with a gentle smile. He puts his controller on the side and holds you tight instead, leaning more into the couch.

Chanyeol

One night, you just saw your boyfriend Chanyeol in his home studio. You want to give him food as he has been working like this for a while, barely getting out. Right now, he was currently strumming his guitar, making a melody for a new song he’s composing.

You put the food on his table, looking at him so affectionately. “Chanyeol... what are you doing?” You asked him, sitting beside him on a chair. You rested your head on his shoulder, still watching him work.

“I’m making a new song.” He said to you, smiling as you crept a hand on his shoulders. Suddenly, your boyfriend removed his hand from the keyboard. He pulls you into an embrace. Your legs are now on top of his, you looked into his eyes, then you lean down to his chest, giving it a soft kiss.

“The song is for you...” He said to you smiling, playing the product in front of you, kissing your forehead

Kyungsoo

He was already going back to the military base, and you will miss him. You wouldn’t be able to see him again for a long time. You know that you shouldn’t be selfish because right now he’s serving the army. He’s serving his own country.

Before he goes, you pulled him to a tight embrace, desperately holding onto him. Suddenly, you kissed your lips on his chest, looking up into him. His hands patting your back. “What was that?” He asked you, flustered as he looked into your (E/C) eyes, gleaming against the evening sky.

“I’ll miss you.” You said to him, bitterly smiling as he removes you from the embrace.

“I will always love you.” He smiled at you so gently, putting his hand up, waving it back and forth, signaling another goodbye from him.

Kai

(Can we just say: Gosh! I miss writing for Kai!!! This man... he makes me feel dokis!!)

"You did your best, that's enough." He whispered against your ears, comforting you after a bad day. You guys were currently seated in the couch and the table had bags of junk food, sweets, soda, all your fave comfort food.

He held you tightly with his arms. Usually, it was the other way around. You're an integral part of Jongin's support system, knowing just how much of a perfectionist he is. Today is the opposite. It was you who needed the support, and he is more than happy to support you.

His soft, luscious lips kissed your shimmery hair. Your head laid softly against his chest. You wrapped him tighter, pulling him closer to you, as you looked at his passionate brown eyes. You suddenly kissed his chest, it was just a quick peck. He smiled at you. "That's where you are..." He silently cooed against your ear.

Sehun

Sehun was tired from a day of photoshoots. Although going well, he was still tired from them. The only thing he wants is to be in your tight embrace and to be in the bed. He opened the bedroom and he was greeted with you clinging onto your pillow, waiting for him.

He smiled at you as soon as he saw your extra clingy state. "Sehun..." You pouted, tapping his side of the bed. He followed your order and laid himself on it. You immediately wrapped your arms around his broad body, looking deep into his eyes. Your head rested against his chest, breathing heavily, in and out.

Suddenly, you kissed his chest, where his heart is. “You’ve always been there...” He said to you, rubbing your back. As soon as he said those words, your blood was rushing to your cheeks.

Tel Aviv 2019: Straight outta Romania to Eurovision with an edgy plea for a return of special someone

To be honest, I wasn’t that on board with Selecția Națională 2019, like, at all. I get that scandals happened and three songs withdrew from the comp. at various stages due to various reasons, but Romania is just Romania to me somehow. Well there were a few overall gems (some of them out of the finals too), but I just couldn’t be bothered to waste my Sunday evenings on a single broadcast of it. Plus, I was never that swayed by the two big fanwanks from here anyway, so I’m glad they flopped lol.

But maaaan did I have a bone to pick with the people reacting to it. Especially towards the Wiwi jurors. Look, there’s such a thing called as “song growing on you” and “performance elevating the song”, as well as the one that goes “getting over it”. Surely these aren’t make belief concepts of life, hmm? I’m not one of those people who prefer a song more or less thanks to its performance, but there are some good ones that occasionally change my opinion on a song, especially a ‘boring’ one! And thanks to those terrible people, some of Wiwibloggs videos were unfairly attacked with dislikes, and mind you, not only on the Romanian NF interviews that don’t have the current Romanian subject of choice, no - both first-reaction-after-qualifying-to-A-Dal-2019-final interviews (that were of these two) too. And it’s not even the first time a televote winner doesn’t win the NF so you should have SHUT. THE FUCK. UP. (- Penn Jilette) Clear? (:

(lol this is all directed to the people from like three months ago, obviously now that the writeup is late the drama has cooled down A LOT, especially in the light of Ukraine’s events and the actual dust of this Euroseason where everyone made amends with everything, but I can’t help but keep what I thought of this initially because I just wanted to write something for Romania as I didn’t have anything else to say until I remembered the drama so)

So here’s that one controversial subject that unexpectedly slayed the poor man’s “Fuego” and that one homophobic teen by hitting it hard by an extremely unbalanced jury vote (and 24 points to it coming from that core Wiwibloggs duo, no less) and her on-stage couch possessing - the half-local half-Canadian little to no known artiste, Ester Peony, who conquered all in her homeland “On a Sunday”, as her songtitle says (haha bad puns whoop.) Is it any more mesmerizing over the two fanwank fanflops, or is it, just like Wiwi said at first, ‘boring’? Hmm...

It starts of bluesy, with the Western-movie-sounding-pop guitar twangs accompanying the sound, and Ester begins reminiscing her love that left her on a Sunday of September, later followed by snap percussion. And deep inside she wants that person to come back “to [her], to [her], to [he-eeee-eeee-er], eh, eh, eh, eh”. She begs and pleads for the return for her loved one, as I believe the absence deeply upsets her (smoke from the ashtray, everything’s so cold an gray, loving is a hard price to pay) and eats her up from the inside to a degree. I never had someone to leave me like that on a whatever the day was, but I feel for Ester’s song’s protagoniste.

Here are some interesting things I find in this song: its progressive intensity; the decision of putting a 3rd verse up in the place of the bridge; right after some additional “eh eh eh eh” after the chorus (bridges are usually of completely different vocal line ways); cool voice of the singer’s; the strings; the beat... and the fact that it’s described as “electro-pop”. Pop I might get, in fact it sometimes reminds me of those older Billboard chart topper songs from mid-00s por so, or that it could have been one of those kind of songs. You needed just to give it to a popstar relevant of the time and voilà - a hit! Electro... not quite sure on this one. Maybe the bass that occurs in the 2nd and 3rd verses indicates something on it but that’s all.

And man do I hate to say this but the song's attitude is something that makes me wanna scream sometimes. It occasionally happens when I stop feeling so happy clappy for a song a few listens later because I just don't feel like caring about it anymore and that it starts making me feel some sort of a soulache because I trusted it in the first place. Kinda like "Funny Girl", Latvia 2018: I actually didn't mind it at first but its desperation got on my nerves a whole lot that I got completely irritated. "On a Sunday" has enough elements that I like to keep the irritation feeling at bay, but I doubt that even they will not make me want to smash a chair everytime I hear that chorus again... you think you can suppress your smugness overtime, song? Think again about it later

Oh and there's a supposed revamp, I doubt I would be able to feel any better about that song that way, as long as my mind just automatically recognizes Ester's singing as "whining" for some reason. It probably will make me feel less worse if I see a stage show similar to the absurd mess one from the NF where shit happens and Ester's just chilling on a chair. Game of Loans? Student loans? It was random but I definitely appreciated the scarlet madness all surrounding it. I hope to maybe see something similar in Tel Aviv - edgy imagery, why not. Bring on the candles and the ravens.

To summarize, I don’t think it’s a bad song at all. It’s daring, it’s badass, it's kickass, it comes right at you, grabs you in and you adapt to it however you can be able to. However...

Approval factor: I still have mixed feelings about passing it off as something approvable, but objectively I would like to do so. Good for you to try something different, Romania.

Follow-up factor: Anything at least half-decent is a fine follow-up after The Humans’s mediocrisms (I’m helping the dictionary to have more words, one construction at a time!). I liked the Humans more though and Ester... sort of? But in general context, Ester’s a fantastic successor.

Qualification factor: Somehow this did not sound like a definite Eurovision qualifier to me, so at one point I thought it would be just missing out... but it’s a complete effing borderline of a song. At one point it sounds good enough for a filler qualifier, at another it’s just not qualifying somehow. We’ll see how she rehearses it up in two days, though.

NATIONAL FINAL BONUS

I think there’s nothing more I can say about Selecția Națională (refered to as SN from this point onwards) than I already said in the intro, so let’s get to the moments, shall we? ;)

• So what else do I have to say about the fanwank-esses that hasn’t been said? Well, on one hand you have an Amazon-jungle-tribal version of “Fuego”, “Army of Love”, performed by Bella Santiago (who had one of my favourite SN entries last year lmao), who went all out with body paint and wild choreo and a rap bridge in Tagalog (one of Bella’s native languages) to make it all sound slightly different than “Fuego”, but still, that pre-chorus just feels like a pitched-down “Fuego” from a B minor to a G flat minor, with the same acoustics and the beat, and the drop is some limp-ass Amazon flutery magic. On the other hand you have a 16 year old Laura Bretan with an poperatic ode to her “Dear Father” which was praised for her insanely good vocal skills (I forgot what’s that called... an alto? soprano? mezzo-soprano? sorry I know a lot about music but not a lot about those ranges) more than the song itself... there’s a big problem about Laura though as people found out that she does not believe and/or condone a marriage between same-sex people. For Eurofans that’s a major red flag as as of lately Eurovision is very LGBTQ+ friendly and having had Laura next to people like Bilal or Mahmood would have probably been concerning if she knew of them having had boyfriends... Like I said, neither of those are special. Imo people loved Bella’s song because of the “Fuego” vibe and people loved Laura’s song because of her voice combined with her age. I said what I said. (Oh and there was a missed opportunity for Il Volo and Laura to reunite this year in Eurovision had they only been chosen in their NFs.)

• Screw these gals, now here come on the real faves of mine - another rock band, obviously, and that’s Trooper. No but for real, could at least ANY country have sent a rock song this year? It could have even been San Marino for all I cared but this year is so MoR without a rock entry... Trooper’s “Destin” sounds like something coming out from an epic fable about legendary heroes fighting for their glory of the nation by slaying goblins with wearing medieval costumes (with a sleeveless top and metal armor for the chest), bearing their long hair and looking strong and hunky. Lai-lai-la-la-la-lai!

• Now what were the other competing entries I liked? There were quite a few like the folk bop titled “D A I N A” and sung by Letiția Moisescu and Sensibil Balkan, then Teodora Dinu’s captivating pop tune “Skyscraper” and a really catchy non-qualifier entry by a band Steam, named “The Way It Goes”... no really Romania, why’d you let that flop... and why did you also let 2 Gents flop... and moreso importantly WHY DID YOU LET THE FOUR FLOP??? That’s like the best football-anthem-esque song I’ve heard in a while... such a shame it didn’t appear on the national selection’s final. Oh well. Poor those 4 young souls.

• Now what were those 3 (actually 4) withdrawals? First one was concerning the first ever Romanian representative Dan Bittman and his own problems so he couldn’t return to a NF and be one of the potential returning artists to Eurovision. Then there was this Australian-Romanian chick named Xonia who withdrew for seemingly no reason, all last minute. There was one more withdrawal from a semi-regular SN participant Xandra too, as well citing unknown reasons. And then there’s Mihai (or as he likes calling himself nowadays, M I H A I) who once again wanted to return to Eurovision (no wonder his Eurovision 2006 song was called “Tornero” lol) with an entry, and this one is called “Baya”. And then he went on an epic quest of flopping - firstly by withdrawing his song last minute from SN claiming that it’s corrupted, then considering to return as a wildcard, then thinking on to latching on to Eurofest in Belarus, but gotten sick last minute and therefore perma-cancelled his NFs journey this year entirely by not appearing on the Eurofest auditions. <3 Not to mention he’s a bit of a creep by subjecting people to his nude pictures with just him in his underwear. dude you’re almost 40, stop doing that to the kids. you’re not even a “daddy”. just look how alien you look on your song’s thumbnail:

• Netta continues her guest appearances on various NFs, such as in UK and in Spain (in spirit, as it was just the Triunfitos singing “Toy” at the beginning of the ESC OT Gala). This one even had her singing her newest song “Bassa Sababa” alongside “Toy”. Oh and there also was one of the Festivali i Këngës 56 alums coming by, Inis Neziri, to perform something for Romania after having won a music competition in Romania, and here’s her performance. But did she even have anything interesting in her backdrop as this?

We know you did Netta sweetie but do you honestly need to reminds us? I did not see Eleni doing shit like this and I don’t want you to do the same. Well if anything I am glad Netta only gracefully performed “Toy” on EYD 2019 (which I missed in my “National Final bonus” section for the UK’s review (as well as them reminiscing Eurovision’s best moments) but frankly I don’t think you cared anymore about it when you learned I was gonna write so many long-ass paragraphs, so yeah)...

• So what was the exact thing again that made everyone such bitter Betties? Well, everyone foresaw Bella and Laura battling it out in this NF, having succesfully qualified together. They even did well in the televote. But then the jury vote happened, and it included the God-forbidden Wiwibloggs duo voting separately and usualy picking all the similar favourites based on performances. They were very pleased with Ester Peony’s on-stage chair prop and her dramatic mess so they gave her their 12s. INDIVIDUALLY. And that’s one of things that pushed Ester higher for the win, despite only having 3 points from the televote lol. But the worst part about it is their opinions: they have praised “Dear Father” so much for mostly the same reasons others praised it so much as well, and were stunned. A what they thought of Ester’s song? That it’s boring. And their mindset switched when voting on this NF, with 12ing Ester and only giving a few feeble points to Laura. That’s where the backlash ensued - not when Emmelie de Forest (yep she was in the jury too) did not give any points to Bella Santiago’s song - just for that notion alone. Maybe it was because of a REASON. Laura’s song in the end is just an uninteresting pop ballad with some additional vocal exercising (too flawless that you even tire from flawlessness), Ester at least brought something to liven up her song, and maybe Wiwis changed their opinion accordingly by not being enthused by Laura anymore! And what’s the problem with that, eh eh eh?.. oh right, y’all accusing Wiwibloggs having rated Laura down because she’s a homophobe. Real friggen’ obviously because of that, you guys. NOT. Grow a brain a bit, will ya. (and even a contestant named Linda Teodosiu was pissed about Wiwibloggs not giving her enough points lmao... her song was a typical ”rent a NF songwriter” spiel so she has no effin’ reason to be mad her ‘originality’ wasn’t awarded lol.)

Worth noting that one of the other reasons people were mad that the juryvote points overpowered the televote big time (like 7 juror votes against 1 set of televotes - inequal) and therefore did not even listen to what they had to say (again, Ester had 3 freaking televote points lol). It’s a thing y’all should get used to - juries overrating an act one way or the other, against the televote’s will. It’s a given nowadays, remember. I know y'all Romanians wanted to scream "ESTER IS NOT OUR WINNER WE HAVEN'T DECIDED HER WE WANT BELLA/LAURA!!!" but that's the truth with the juries.

And thankfully, that is, what I think, all you need to remember from the SN headache this year. Fortunately it’s much smaller than the last year’s headache that, aside from 60 songs in total for 5 semis (!!!), also had a very strictly eliminative system that had 3 qualifiers each from a semi decided by juries ONLY (geez not even A Dal does that!), only to soften things up by having everyone fall down on televote’s hands only during the final. And then the final had the drama on its own. But if I reminisced it all on here, we’d be taking more than just all day, so it’s best that I stop this here and now, for all of ya who are already tired of all this waffle.

From what I saw on Pinterest, yes I’m a Pinterest nerd and a web head, Vancouver is a beautiful place. Now seeing it in person, I can say it definitely is. We got here about 3 o’clock there time and the sun was still shining, it was a bit chilly. I really didn’t care much and I wasn’t going to let that stop me,  because I wanted to see what we can do before we left and  before Ari had to go home next week. We have been living together as best friends and roommates for awhile, this was the first time we were able to take a trip together. So that there, is going to be awesome.  

Ari and I met three years ago at work, we are both nurses and work at the local hospital in Texas. She kept her personal status a secret for awhile, which I don’t blame her I would have to. She doesn’t have to work, but she loves it. Me on the other hand, I have to work every shift I can to get by.

My parents both passed away, which left me with all their bills plus mine. I had placed an ad for a roommate on the hospital’s rent and buy board we have, three hours later after I posted it she came to me telling me she’ll take the room.

We been best friends ever since. She loves Supernatural just as much as I do, Jared Padalecki is her fave. I love Jared don’t get me wrong, I do. But those beautiful soft candy green eyes of Jensen’s just melts my heart. I’ve been following his career since Days of our lives, I literally cried when he left the show. Course I stopped watching it after that. I was miserable till I found him again on Dark Angel, but even that was short and sweet.

Everyone calls me crazy for liking him, but screw them. They don’t know the great things both Jared and Jensen had done for there fans over the years, including me. That though is a story for next time. Jensen makes me happy and with me being a big girl, depression is a real thing.

Walking from the hotel to the nearest Starbuck’s, it had gotten colder. I’m glad I packed a shawl.  It’s a tradition that every time we go out we hit the nearest Starbucks first, I loved their vanilla bean frappachino, but with it being kind of cool right now, hot chocolate with marshmallows will do.

The shop itself was nice, cosy and warm as we walked in. I had to chuckle because one of the songs on the radio was ‘Heat Of The Moment’ by Asia. I looked at Ari with a grin, we knew then that it was a sign this will be the best weekend ever. There was a bit of a line, but it’s ok we didn’t have a time crunch that needed our immediate attention. So, we waited.

“So, what’s on the schedule for tomorrow?” I asked her as she was looking over the convention schedule she had printed prior to leaving Texas.

“Um, first thing we get breakfast because the doors don’t open till around 10:30 ish. I figured we can order room service while we are getting dressed, that way we can be on time for the show,” as we moved up a bit.

I looked over her shoulder at the schedule to, “Ok, who's first?”

“Looks like Louden Swain will open, big plus there. I love Rob. Um first up on the panels though is Osric.”

“Oh, he’s cute. A little young for me, but he’s cute,” I only had my heart set on Jensen so everyone else was just ok.

“Calm down, you won’t see him till Sunday. Unless he comes for the SNS tomorrow night.”

My goal is to hear Jensen sing live in front of me. Yeah, you can listen to him on YouTube, but nothing beats hearing him in person. We continued talking about the schedule and what we had to do, we didn't hear the bell on the door go as some people came in behind us talking about the convention.

Carry On My Wayword son came on right after Asia, I smiled at Ari and we did a little dance that we always do when we hear this song. Something that we made up, but it went with the beat of the song. Something told me to turn around, and when I did, I almost fainted. It was Jensen and Jared standing behind us clapping at our dance. I think I acted like an idiot I don’t remember as it was a blur, my head felt dizzy though seeing those beautiful green eyes staring back at me. I couldn’t move I was frozen, but somehow I tapped Ari on the shoulder.

She turned to look at me with a questionable look on her face, “What?” she asked me. I move my head to point to the direction where they were standing, she followed my finger I had in front of my chest so they couldn’t see me pointing. What happened next, surprised even me. She placed her hand on my shoulder, as she had to grab me before she fell.

“ARI!” I shouted seeing her eyes closed freaked me out.

I reached down to get her, but Jared noticed her almost fall. He reached out on reflex and caught her before she fell to the floor. “Are you ok?” he asked, as he looked at me then at Ari.

He helped her stand up, she was shaking like a leaf. Much more than I was, “I'm just um, shit Mr Padalecki, I'm a huge fan.” Her voice was shaky and I wanted to laugh, but I knew she’d do the same for my reaction when and if I looked at Jensen who was standing really close to me.

“Please it's Jared, this is Jensen.” He held his hand out for Ari and I to shake it, Jensen followed suit.

“I'm Ari and this is Y/N my best friend. She’s the Dean to my Sam,” I wanted to really laugh now, she was nervous as hell and saying things I couldn’t believe. She bit her lip, then placed her hand on her mouth, course me I’m standing there blushing as Jensen notices me.

“Please to meet you Ari, and Y/N, are you both here for the convention?” Jared asked us.

The barista asked us a couple of times what we were having, every time Jared would distract Ari. I thought it was cute, Jensen was standing ever so close to me that I swore a couple of times our hands slightly touched. It's true what they say when you have that connection, electricity sparks through my whole system. I was literally scared to move. “Um, yes we are it's our first convention,” I told them with what voice I had left.  

“Awesome,” Jensen said in that Dean voice that drove me nuts. I love his Dean voice. “So, you staying until Monday then?” He knew some people only stayed the four days which is the norm.

“Actually,” Ari finally had our drinks ordered correctly this time, Jared ordered his and Jensen’s. “Y/N here is staying a week and a half, it's her vacation time. I on the other hand sadly have to leave next Thursday. I only got a week off.”

We moved to pay our drinks, but the lady at the register said they were already paid for. I looked at Ari and she said she didn’t, then we both looked at Jared and Jensen.

“Really?” I asked such a Dean move.

Jensen winked at me, “Welcome to Vancouver.”

God, I think I just died.

They joined us, after we got our drinks and went to sit down in some empty chairs by the window. Jensen sat really close to me, and Jared across from Ari but close to Jensen.

“So if your name's Y/N, what’s with the letter J on your necklace?” Jensen asked as he held the chair for me to sit.

Ari laughed, I blushed harder. I looked over at Ari to tell her to shut up. “It’s um, she got me something for my birthday tomorrow and this was it.” I opened the little heart revealing his photo, I swallowed hard as now I really felt like a stalker.

He smiled, looks at Jared, “I told you she was a Dean girl,” with a satisfied smirk on his face.

We laughed that off, then I decided I better drink my hot chocolate. I sighed letting my head falling back a bit after taking my first sip. “Oh my god that’s so good.” They looked at me kind of funny. “What?” I asked looking at them.

Jensen did that nose thing when Dean pulls before he reaches over to a pretty girl, then he did just that, “You um, got marshmallow on your upper lip.” He gently took his finger and wiped it away.

Thank god he wasn’t holding my hand or anything, because he would have felt the heat creeping through my body. I think my body temp just rose at least to 110 degrees inside. HOLY HELL. I turned to smile at him and thanked him, but not before I look at Ari with a holy crap look. Yup, I just died. Jensen Freaking Ackles touched my lip, I can die happy now.

We talked for about thirty minutes more before Jensen had gotten a call on his cellphone, he excused himself to take it leaving Jared with us. I dunno why, but when he left it took a bit of my heart with him. I mean it’s a freak of chance we get to meet with them, as many fans don’t get the opportunity to. But it just felt weird, you know?

Jensen came back over to us, he placed his hand on my right shoulder and looks down at me, “I am so sorry sweetheart, but Cliff our security guard will be here in just a few minutes. We got work to do.”

For some reason hearing him say “we got work to do” just made my day, what can I say I’m a huge Jensen/Dean fan. “It’s ok,” I tell him as I stood up to meet his eyes. “It was really great to meet you.”

He smiled at me, then leaned in for a hug he took his cellphone out of his pocket, then asked for mine. we took a selfie. I guess he was thinking we were expecting that. “You didn’t have to do that you know, we are not like that.”

He holds my hand a moment, “It’s ok, I wanted to. Happy birthday y/n,” he paused a second. “See you around, yeah?”

I watched him stop and sign something for a fan before he left, “Yes, thank you. See you later.” Oh I so hope so.

He and Jared left us in a blubbering mess shortly after that, I fell back into my seat rehashing everything. This man is so super sweet it’s unbelievable. I open my eyes to see Ari smiling at me. “What? Not you to?”

“Someone is in love,” she sang stressing the love part.

I rolled my eyes at her, “Don’t you dare start, he was just being sweet. Just as Jared was being sweet to you, I’m sure he has a girlfriend who would pound my head into the wall if she saw us flirting just now. I’m so not looking forward to that moment.”

“It’s ok Y/N, I was just teasing. But I bet you will have sweet dreams tonight huh?” she had a mischievous look on her face.

I threw the napkin I had in my hand at her, as I sat there with a dreamy look on my face. So far, all is perfect with the world. I mean how could it not be? Note to self, relax and enjoy the weekend ahead, it’s going to be awesome.

so my anime twin sister and i were talking one time

and she managed to persuade me to write a victuuri teacher AU

i had it in my head for a looooong time and finally got to writing a bit last wednesday at work lol

then i realized i haven’t fleshed out the characters’ roles in the au so i took to writing some headcanons

have at them (this is an incomplete list, but it’s long so under the cut some of it goes)

Yuuri Katsuki (japanese)

-          The real life cinnamon roll

-          Everyone had a crush on him at one point

-          Not as straight or as innocent as the students first thought

-          the OJT for history (who victor-sensei was apparently close to) posted a photo of Yuuri-sensei pole dancing in a club

-          Yuuri remembered nothing of the ordeal

Victor Nikiforov (history)

-          His lessons are wild

-          Nobody knows how he has such wild lessons and still gets away from getting fired every damn time

-          EXTRA™

-          Shows up in the best fucking suits that are probably tailor-made or designer or some shit

-          Always manages to get his shirts or ties dirty

-          Literally he spills coffee or soup on it everyday

-          The students think it was because Yuuri-sensei is so damn distracting that he can’t help but spill his food just for Yuuri-sensei to wipe it down for him

-          Everyone’s quiet during her lessons

-          Speaking of yakov, everyone in the faculty are taking bets as to when they’re gonna get back together

Nishigori Takeshi (home ec.)

-          Nobody expected such a buff and rambunctious dude to be good at cooking and household stuff but here he is

-          Apparently his wife recommended him for the job since now the triplets are all grown up and he has more time to kill

-          Quit his office job and offered to be a househusband when Yuuko was worried about who was going to take care of the kids when her leave was almost up

-          A Good Dad™

Leo de la iglesia (english)

-          Cinnamon roll #2

-          Very patient with the students

-          Tries his hardest to help them understand the lesson properly and offers after class sessions for those who have a tougher time in class

-          The first time this happened he had to use the gym because literally every one of his students showed up, even the ones who he knew were doing fairly well

-          The class reps help him make schedules for the tutoring sessions every week now and he is #Blessed to have them helping

Phichit chulanont (art & music)

-          Oh my god this boy is a selfie whore and everyone thinks so too

-          On the first day of art classes he announced that whoever made the nicest art would get a feature on his IG every week

-          Told everyone to add him on IG and that was when his students discovered that their teacher was apparently VERY Instagram famous

-          So now every week, some of his students get tons and tons of likes on their photos and are slowly growing famous on IG

-          Also posts videos of his music classes on the SNS that allow him to and tags the students in the videos

-          Mr. feltsman says nothing about it

Emil nekola (science)

-          Mr. sunshine literally

-          Seriously his classes are the best, even physics holy shit

-          Chemistry is by far the most amusing tho, because more often than not, emil-sensei sets something small on fire during lab days

-          Everyone loves biology too—mainly because they all get confused about all the terms and end up consulting the textbook and holding games for extra points

Just a Mini Rant

I wasn’t quite sure where else to do this but I figured here would be good enough because I’ll probably be able to type out everything in one go, I hope. Let’s just see if I can get my thoughts in order.

This particular rant is in reference to the articles and whatnot that I’ve seen and read about and all and the comments on them about the Gaon Chart Music Awards.

Now, from what I’ve come across, there are articles talking about how there was a lot of screaming/cheering (because they tend to be interchangeable in the articles) and in a disrespectful way. Now, this video in particular was the first I’d heard of and read about.

Apparently, Dean went up on stage to receive his award and give his speech and, for some reason, there were people in the audience yelling out things at him telling him to die and to hurry up and whatnot. Honestly, I saw another comment about it and I agree. You do not have to even understand what they’re saying to hear the venom in their voices when they yell at him.

Now, the videos and articles themselves aren’t even the real problem. The problem comes in the comments that I’ve seen on them that really irritate me.

One thing that I’ve seen is how people are trying to say that it has to be EXO-L’s or ARMYs that are at fault for all the disrespect that happened or at least that it’s most likely them. Say what you want on the issue but I do think that’s unfair.

I used to be into EXO back in the “We are One” days when there were 12 members and a little after Tao left also but I just kind of lost interest. I support them in the sense that I hope all the current and previous members do well but I don’t hunt for whatever it is that they’re up to now. As far as Bangtan goes, I am a pretty solid fan but I don’t consider myself an ARMY really because of all the stigmas that have been attached to them, much like the ones that were apart of the EXO fandom when the fans named themselves EXOtics. I am saying this though to say that, regardless of where I stand in my feelings to the fandoms, I don’t think it’s fair to assume that it is them. It’s fine to say that it’s probably most likely them because they’re two fandoms that are notorious for showing up to these events in large numbers but that doesn’t mean you can put the blame on them. People would be surprised at how badly and boldly one fan can stand out on their own if they really try. Don’t underestimate what someone is willing and able to do. You never know. What I would like to see, like I saw someone else say, is to simply ignore who may have been at fault and to simply band together and try to rectify the issue by facing the problem and going “Oh, we should make sure that doesn’t happen again” or “It’s a shame that that even happened? Why would someone do this?” That makes much more sense to me. Go give encouraging message if the artists or actor/actress or whoever they may be has an SNS. Let them know somehow that you’re proud of them for winning an award or that they were nominated or something. Just...something to make all fandoms look better as a whole instead of trying to even take into consideration who it may have been behaving like they have no home training and common courtesy.

I’ve seen comments talking about how it’s unfair for Dean to even be treated that way because “he wrote songs for all your faves.” Regardless of what he’s done for other groups, he’s still someone that has put in hard work and worked toward his award. What he’s done for others shouldn’t even matter. The fact that his hard work is being acknowledged should be respected.

I also came across this article talking about how a certain MC made a comment along the lines of almost having a panic attack because of the noise.

Sure, they’re MCs but that doesn’t mean that the audience can’t be respectful. It does make sense for fans to cheer when their favorites are up on the screen or are performing or accepting an award but that doesn’t give anyone the right to be disrespectful to others on stage. I don’t know if this is just something that is or has become common during Korean award shows. I mean, it may be because here in the States, it’s considerate to sit quietly and enjoy the show. If you want to cheer, you can, but you quiet down enough for the presenter or awardee to speak when they have to. Maybe it’s just me imposing my Western views on them but, from what it seems, it clearly isn’t just me that seems to see this is an issue. (*gestures to the article again as well as this next article because apparently BewhY feels the same*)

Another thing that I’ve come across is people talking about how it has to be fans of boy groups doing this for whatever reason and how it’s also disrespectful for everyone to be quiet and all during a girl group’s performance. This one is tricky because there is no real fair line here without stepping on some toes.

When you go to a concert, you cheer because you most likely paid to be there and you’re there to see who you want to see. If it’s something more like the Dream Concert or KCON, like I’ve seen mentioned, you’ve still most likely paid to be there and you’re most likely there to see your favorites still but there’s a chance you know what other celebrities are going to be there or at least their songs. Award shows, in my own personal opinion, are a bit different. Not even just award shows but things like Inkigayo’s end of the year stages. I feel like it’s just more prominent at award shows though because there tends to be more silences and whatnot and, because there are usually so many groups up for one award, things get crazy and really unnecessary and extremely childish fanwars start spewing, whether it’s because of antis or not.

Apparently, some fandoms turn off their light sticks while other groups are performing and/or some just get quiet. Now, I agree with at least giving applause for those that win awards. I don’t think anyone is obliged to scream like it’s their favorite if it’s not or anything like that but, to be courteous, I really don’t believe that it would hurt to give a small cheer or applause. Just show them some love, too.

As far as performances go, I don’t think there’s anything wrong with not necessarily singing along. I can’t really blame anyone for turning off their lightsticks either. It can’t be assumed that people are doing these things just to be rude, especially in Korea. I mean, as an international fan, it may seem extremely rude but, if you really think about it, it’s no secret fact that a lot of these fans are dedicated to one group. They pay for a lot of freaking merchandise and the CDs and I think you have to pay for a few fandoms to become a card carrying member. (Last time I was considering joining a particular fandom that was open to international fans, I remember there being a card that you could get and all as a certified member, and you also had to pay if I’m not mistaken. This is what I’m going off of.) A lot of these fans cut out their daily life to make sure they have time for their favorite groups and all. (I’m not referring to sasaengs. They’re a whole ‘nother boatload of nonsense and insanity.)

I do think it’s considerate to maybe clap along to the song or something but why would anyone be obligated to cheer for someone that isn’t a group they’re really into during a performance? When receiving an award, it’s more understandable to cheer, but it really doesn’t make sense to me to do so during a performance. Not to mention, most of these fandoms make up fanchants and only the fans of that group will really know it. In my own opinion, it doesn’t seem like it would be fun to be that one fan, that’s not even apart of the fandom, mind you, that messes up another fanchant. Just seems like a scary situation. Nothing wrong with asking what the fanchant is so you can cheer, too, but that would be up to you.

All in all, I’m just going to end this here saying that:

1) Let’s be fair and not assume any particular group’s fandom is acting ignorant. We’ve seen it done before that an anti-fan works just as well as the more...bad apples of a fandom does.

2) If you’re not going to applaud or show respect for someone that’s won an award, don’t talk or do anything then. It goes along the lines of “If you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all.”

3) It’s not fair to say that boy group stans need to cheer for girl groups and vice versa. Whether it’s an award show or a music festival, you’re most likely there to see who you wanted to see. It’s not fair to give an obligation to someone that’s there to support their favorites to support yours as well. As long as they’re not actually being disrespectful to the groups, leave it alone and stop trying to cause issues.

4) Do not be that fan that gives your fandom a bad name. Take into consideration how you make others feel, especially when you’re so-called “representing” a group and/or fandom. Let’s try to break these stigmas together. Do your best to ignore the bad apples and guide the ones that are trying.

5) Let’s just work together to create a more harmonious Korean music fan family, hm? Be respectful and look out for one another. There’s no reason to bash another group or another fandom. If you don’t really support them, then don’t. No one is forcing you. Just say that you’re happy for the other group or something and whatever their endeavors may be.

Remember, we all came to K-Pop or just K-music in general for whatever our own reason is. The important thing is that it’s brought us together with people from different countries and backgrounds. The nonsense that is fought over isn’t even worth is and just reflects so badly on so many people in so many ways.
