Basically instead of just coming from a regular big family he comes from a fostering family - I imagine his parents died when he was young and he ended up in the primarly care of his grandmother.

his grandmother fosters children, constantly. Like shes been doing this for decades. so while Daichi was a permenant fixture for her, he always had 2-4 foster siblings at any given time that he just got used to describing as "siblings" and as his grandmother got older he became more involved in helping out.

ANYWAY obv. the third years know about this situation and probably the second years but he doesnt exactly volunteer information about his personal life so the 1st years have no idea and one day in passing Hinata asks if he has any siblings he says that he has 4, and Hinata is like "woah cool big family" but then 3 months later one of the kids has been moved to permenant placement and Hinata offhandedly is like "how do you handle 4 siblings I can barely handle one" and Daichi is like "actually... i only have 3 now..." and of course he's super emotional about the kids that come and go and Hinata immediately panics because OH MY GOD DID ONE OF HIS SIBLINGS DIE???? HOLY SHIT WHY DIDNT ANYONE SAY ANYTHING-

OR in reverse Kageyama is like "Oh, didnt you say you had 2 sisters?" and Daichi all smiley is like "haha yeah, but now we have a new baby brother too :) he's so cute." and Kageyama, doing his darned best, says "Oh!!! I hadnt known your mother was expecting"

and, since Daichi is an idiot and tends to forget not everyone has the details of his personal life, completely deadpan glares at him like "Uhm. My mother is dead." and then just walks away, leaving Kageyama HORRIFIED.

It all starts when you are offered the opportunity to work under the Pentagram world’s Devil as an intern

Lzet is kind enough as he shows you around the palace, absentmindedly telling you about the ins and outs of the people and your work schedule to which you jot down in your notebook, taking the whole thing very seriously

Most of the people are pretty… nice? You suppose you can say, sure there are a few weirdos (Mephir) but everyone seems friendly enough, though you still haven’t met your boss herself

In fact, you only meet her at the end of the week while you’re getting coffee for a clearly overworked Lzet, fiddling with the buttons when she speaks to you

You don’t bother to look up as you make the coffee, but you remain polite and cordial as you speak to the woman beside you, gushing slightly about how excited you are to work here

It’s only when you look up and you realize that your boss is looking at you with an amused look on her face that the heat creeps up your face

Flustered apologies ensue, but she shrugs and says that she doesn’t mind if you speak casually to her, just as long as you remember who’s in charge

Needless to say your face is very red after that interaction

For the most part you manage to settle in after a month, and people seem to warm up to you, you’re very pampered to say the least even though you try to do your best to help out

Opposite of your boss who seems to relish in not doing any tasks and is constantly pushed to do things

You would be irked by that fact, if it weren’t for the fact that she found such amusement in teasing you

She’s not malicious or anything, she’s just a tad bit flirty with you, which serves to leave you flustered whenever you interact with you

It’s things like remarking that she should make skirts part of the dress code when she sees you and touching your hand when you bring her paperwork (that she will inevitably pass on to Lzet) that catch your heart

Of course, you eventually end up catching feelings for Reficul, especially when she stays back late one night and keeps you company when you work on some documents

You’re sure she doesn’t feel the same, after all, she has a wife that you’ve met at a holiday party (though her wife was a tad bit flirty with you too)

But one day, on a late night, you take a chance, because you were entranced by the setting or more likely her, and lean in to kiss her on impulse

You pause for a moment, unsure then for a second, before her lips meet your eagerly and greedily

Panicked, after the kiss, you leave hastily, embarrassed by your unprofessionalism

At first you think you might have fucked everything up royally and your internship was going to dust, but to your surprise the next day, you’re offered a permenant position

You go to confront Reficul, but she only regards you with a lazy wave of her hand and tells you with no filter that she’s already fucking Lzet so you don’t need to worry about it

You’re stunned for a moment, but you can hardly dwell on it when she smirks and says she’d extend the offer to you too

Obviously, you blush and stammer and leave abruptly, but the thought lingers in your mind, and you find that you don’t hate the idea of being with her

So hesitantly the next day, you shyly ask her if she’d be willing to take things slow, to which she agrees with a smug smile

Dating Reficul involves a lot of forcing her to do her work, but she never slacks in the romantic department

She’s a very attentive lover despite her laziness and she doesn’t forget any anniversary 

Sin is also very close to you and she dotes on you often, finding you very cute

Mors unofficially might have 3 moms after this but he’s not complaining with how nice you are

Refi does her best to be professional when she’s around you at work, but she can’t help tossing in a flirty comment on how pretty you look every now and then

Saw people sharing Clangen stories and thought I would contribute with my absolute FAVOURITE pair of cats from the first Clan I ever recorded

So I started with Two apprentices, Dustpaw and Needlepaw. They're the same age, both cute sprites, and Needlepaw is apprenticed to the leader Yarrowstar. Things are decent until they turn 10 moons and a dog breaks into camp, attempts to kill Dustpaw, and then is killed by Needlepaw. And Needlepaw, this absolute Chad, does not die!!! In the same moon, both he and Dustpaw get their warrior names, despite Dustpaw being almost 10 points behind Needlepaw in EXP the prev moon. (Also in this moon, the Deputy Tawnyfur has a fight with Needlepaw about his recklessness, and they got closer afterwards. Important to remember!)

So they get their Warrior names (Needlestrike and Dustwhisper-who is a lonesome personality, btw-, both. So so fitting) and Needlestrike has to stay in the med den for awhile because the dog completely totaled him and he ends up loosing half his face+his vision. But that's okay!! Because he has Dustwhisper with him and they're together!!! So Needlestrike gets better, it's all great!

And then Tawnyfur (Needlestrikes very good friend!!!!) and Dustwhispers former mentor Slatefire both drown in a river. And who gets appointed as Deputy? Needlestrike! So he's doing well, he helps raise the loner kits that the clan brings in, he's a great deputy, and Dustwhisper is getting even closer with him, wonderful! And then he goes and gets his leg caught in a twoleg trap, and THEN his vision stars getting worse. And the whole like 5 moons that he's confined to the medicine den Dustwhisper does not stop thinking about him ONCE. She is there all the time, sharing tongues with him, gathering herbs every Moon rollover, just being the number 1 supportive gf.

Once he's healed (with permenant blindness and a limp), he and Dustwhisper take on apprentices together, named Talonpaw and Snappaw. After a LONG apprentice period (interspersed with camp fires, disease burrows and like. A bunch of other stuff) the two of them finally get together <3 They have kits pretty much straight away, named Robinkit and Nettlekit, who look exactly like Needlestrike. It's adorable seriously.

And then Needlestrike dies eating poisoned prey (along with 6 other clanmates, including Dustwhispers former App Snapjaw) And who becomes deputy in his place? DUSTWHISPER. Who proceeds to get whitecough twice and miss the entirety of her children's apprenticeships because she's sick. And then as soon as she gets out, who's dead? Oh! Yarrowstar! So NOW Duststar is leader, having never wanted to be leader, having lost her husband and having barely any relationship with her children. AND NEEDLESTRIKE ISNT PART OF HER CEREMONY EITHER SHE DOESN'T EVEN SEE HIM IN DEATH.

Duststar makes Needlestrikes only apprentice, Talonbubble, her deputy. They get along relatively well, but Duststar spends her first ten moons as leader grieving, so all of the work is left to Talonbubble who is like. 20 moons. Then Duststar immediately gets redcough, which spreads through the clan and KILLS HER SON NETTLEBURST. For the next 20 odd moons she does not recover, loosing 2 lives to redcough and then yellowcough :'(

The fact that after Needlestrike dies, Duststar is never ever well for more than a few moons. It's like her grief is physically manifesting in her constant boughts of whitecough. (Which is total juxtaposition from Yarrowstar, who didn't mourn when any of his clanmates died, not even Needlestrike, and lost no lives before old age took him.)

I haven't played with this clan in like. Months and might never again but Duststar makes me so miserable I just had to share her. (Hopefully this anon tag isn't taken, using it purely so I can send another ask about Scorchstar the evil girlfalure at another time-🧶)

My Strength of Thousands party hit level 17 today, the Tiefling and Sylph grabbed permenant wings, and everyone wants to update their art cause its been 6 years of in-game time :D

They have also obtained some hoverbikes by striking a deal with the crime mayor of a trade city on another planet so they can race across the dunes in search of the founder of their school who hss been missing for 4.5 thousand years, and his mortal enemy, a powerful sorcerer made entirely of any and this gaint ant-shaped flying fortress.

Ok fast forward . heru is homeschooled by a tutor and hiiro and pacchi are both in junior high. pacchi is popular and friendly and pretty, but her grades are lacking . hiiro has always been incredibly smart (even though pacchi is 2 years older, he skipped a school year or two and is in her same year), but his social life is miserable . because of his temper and Overall Unfriendliness he was put in separate classes away from his peers where he was the only student under a teacher who didnt care about hiiro or Pretty much anything . it wasnt seen often but when he Was seen he was beat up n bullied relentlessly n followed home , so a lot of the time he spent nights hidden in the school or in damp alleys because he didnt want to lead anyone dangerous back to pacchi and heru . when he Was home pacchi ignored him and heru would try to make conversation but hiiro was Pretty much entirely nonverbal during their school years . at home hiiro drew and wrote and played like anyone else his age but bcuz hiiro looked different and sounded different and acted different it ended up outcast and alienated :[ womp womp

all the sleeves on their sweaters are slightly tethered and frayed because he fidgets with them while working . the right sleeve is more torn than the left

me personally i dont think irenes original intent was becoming queen B, but it definetly became that. cuz like i know you had mentioned foster care tor her and instead of sleeping i stayed up thinkinh about her bg and i feel like she’s part of the second chance program, and probably met Kul’Zak through that when they first got to the school cuz admin was like: ok you two are part of the same program OFCOURSE your gonna be friends !!

and i think like during irenes first half of the school year she was being moved around from foster home to foster home cuz, irene is a lot to deal with and most homes arent equipped to handle that. so she isnt really talking to anyone outside of her social worker, admin and kul’zak on occasion, but once whes placed into a semi permenant home that turns permenant with Hyria, she starts opening herself up at school and home and decides “ok imma be queen b” and starts actively trying to be friends with Kul’Zak

i also think the reason irene was able to get away with her attitude in hs was bc anytime admin has a problem Hyria would use the: “Irenes been through a lot and she finally feels safe and comfortable to be herself.” thing which most people just sigh and let whatever she did slide bc of that

during the second semester is also when she auditions for the spring musical for the first time and gets a big part and thus her era as the theater programs diva began
