No. I think Shen Yuan never really see these people as people even at the ends of the book. My dude really condemned Shen Jiu a modern man really gave no shit or felt any sorrow towards his enslavement and abuse. I read a fully grown man with modern sensibilities and values watch a child being horrifically abused. A child that was ENSLAVED, restrained, beaten, TORTURED by another man, an OWNER. And I read SY's thoughts on the matter. Read him condemning the child and feeling no horror or disgust at the act of child abuse. He felt nothing regarding the immorality and cruelty of slavery. Hell, When ZZL murdered GYX who was only ever just, kind, and helpful in all his interactions and to SY himself, I was upset SY seemed to feel nothing and felt no censure towards ZZL or sadness or guilt towards GYX who was trying to save him. But I excused it as him having other things to do because maybe for SY, it's easier for him to just push aside feelings over someone's death to focus on other things (though I was unnerved that he never seemed to think of it again or care).

SY intentionally condoned the murder of dozens of individuals to save his own skin, and never wrestled with his conscience over it. While SJ's self-hatred is detrimental to himself and those around him, at least he struggles emotionally and morally with his decisions. He still does them, but at least he doesn't excuse them or not even feel guilt or shame. SY however is completely shameless in doing whatever it takes to live. I honestly find characters like this interesting, but I found SY's character to be lacking because the author wanted him to be a self-centered survivalist while also a sweet, holy mother/mentor figure to LBH. That's a BL trope I usually find tedious and boring, especially because authors never have said overly kind, overly forgiving characters be kind to anyone accept a handful of characters who are plot relevant (sometimes even only the ML or villain) while they treat every other character as air or cardboard.

I was so convinced of SY's point of view on the original characters and novel, that I kept making excuses as SVSS unfolded. When he recounted the scheming and murdering of Sha Hauling in PIDW while fanboying over how excited he was to see her, I excused it as him not realizing the gravity of her crimes when they're committed against living people. And once he decided she wasn't that great and LBH deserved better, I was assured, even though he seemed to only do so because she was rude to himself. When he celebrated O!LBH's torture and mutilation of SJ for bullying him in his teen years and even called for SJ's castration, I excused it because who doesn't want to see an evil pedophile get what they deserve, and fans can get overly enthusiastic sometimes, even if calling for slow, multi-year mutilation and torture is a bit extreme even if LBH is your favorite characte

It seems a lot SJ haters like to excuse LBH's behavior the way they claim SJ fans excuse SJ's. LBH was the poor kid and bullied by kids in the neighborhood, then singled out and bullied at his school, before being treated to the abyss where he utilized the training he received at CQ and his innate demon heritage to establish himself. In PIDW, he proceeds to commit large scale mass murder, borderline genocide, destroy the human realms sects and defenses against spiritual and demonic threats, all why gruesomely maiming, torturing, dismembering, disemboweling, and feeding alive anyone he disliked. Uhhhh... disproportionate, much. Bitch slap and shame people if you want, but O!LBH is a monstrous, self-centered, sadistic freak show. He goes far beyond a victim of abuse reacting with anger and defensiveness. He controls the lives and wellbeing of all the people in the realms, and repeatedly makes time to find enjoyment in the torture, pain, and suffering of others on a scale he had never experienced himself. Meanwhile, SVSS!LBH still decided to start widespread violent capture of cultivators to date Xin Mo while SY was out of the picture only sparing CQ because he knew once SY was brought back, SY would be upset with him if he did. He shows no care for anyone else, human or demon, in the world of SVSS besides SY. His only regards for others are as useful allies and subordinates, enemies, and people he knows SY would lightly scold and admonish him for killing. LBH is fucked up in every universe, whether he gets bullied at school, or his teacher turns him into a live in homemaker.

At best, I could excuse this as SY not seeing other people as actual people. Maybe because he read about them as fictional characters first, he can't fully perceive them as humans, just characters, not as real people like him and SQH. Maybe he made an exception for LBH because LBH is his favorite character. But that care and regard clearly don't extend to anyone else.

I have no idea where people get the idea he sees them as real he doesn't. I couldn't care about a protagonist who didn't react with shock or horror or even just resigned sadness to child slavery. I couldn't give a shit about his romance anymore. I stopped reading. To be clear, I don't hate SY, or even his type of character. I'm just disappointed because I went into SVSS thinking I'd be getting a cute, sweet, slightly stupid, modern nerd flailing though a comedic romance full of ridiculous misunderstandings and pitfalls. It turned out, I got a self-centered, apathetic fanboy simultaneously stalking while trying to avoid and stay on the good side of his mentally unstable, over powered idol. Which I've actually read before too, but at least the author wasn't forcing every other character to remark on how sweet, kind, and good the fanboy who cared about nothing but his favorite character was.

Clearly, his anti-abuse philosophy only extended to LBH and no other child. He felt nothing regarding the immorality and cruelty of slavery." The hypocrisy displayed by SY is astonishing. It's fascinating how SY condemns child abuse, expressing concern for Binghe's mistreatment, yet dismisses Binghe's daily killings over five years to control Xin Mo as a consequence of past abuse. There's an apparent double standard. Moreover, in the same breath, witnessing SJ's appalling abuse, SY downplays its impact, suggesting that SJ's mistreatment doesn't excuse his transformation into a reprehensible individual. SY seems to overlook the scumbag-like behavior, focusing instead on SJ's skills, status, beauty, hard work, and wealth.

Ctntduo and cclingyduo r my ocs now btw.

Wilbur/Clingyduos endings never happened. Cclingyduo killed cDrm long before, and Wilburs apology happened a little while after the cQ finale. They made up, and Q convinced Wilbur to stay. They talked through what happened to Las Nevadas as Q needed a crutch for one of his legs while he was going to physical therapy, and learned to realize they didn’t hate eachothers company so bad. It would take time to fully heal and settle their grievances, but they stuck through it with eachother through it all. They could do it again.

Soon after, Cclingyduo gathered in Snowchester one day and found Quackitys note hidden in the snow. This was it, they knew, the peaceful ending that they pinkie promised they would have when this was all over. They deserved a soft epilogue, so they found it.

CQuackity invited them in with open arms. He gave them a house- a home, made sure they were safe. CQ and cWil learned to love again, to trust again, to breathe and feel safe around another again. To not be afraid of being cared for. CTubbo and cTommy learned to feel calm again, to heal, and to move forward- but more than anything know it was okay to hurt even when the war was over. Tubbo was so glad he could raise Michael somewhere that could feel protected.

Tubbo made a space station, one like he always dreamed of, and shot for the stars. He made a cabin on the moon (yes they can breathe.) and they go there when they need some space. Their little home on the moon, and another on the server which they thought they coyld never breathe again.

A soft epilogue, a cottage on the moon, and a lovely family to top it all off. They had a happy ending.

“Sis, you’ve been in the office for hours on this. Take a break,” NILS sighs as he enters Lutarna’s office and seeing her once again glued to the laptop.

“This shotty work is driving me insane. Chemical balancing that’s shit, mixtures that shouldn’t have worked but did. I swear, it’s like trying to correct a chemistry 101 test,” Lutarna huffed.

NILS sighed as CQ strolled in.

“Honestly, Lutarna, again with the formula. Honey, get out of the office!” CQ huffed.

“I will when I figure out how this is even working,” Lutarna groaned.

“I mean we’ve seen what it does first hand. I don’t see why you aren’t figuring it out,” NILS remarked.

“Sounds like a few processors are going on the fry,” CQ joked

Slapping the laptop down in annoyance at the two as they chuckled, Lutarna gave them both a stern look.

“I need it on smaller scale work. To see how the inner workings interact. Something like,” Lutarna spoke harshly before realizing something.

Getting up quickly, Lutarna rushed out of the office.

“TARTS! WHERE ARE YOU GOING?!?” NILS shouted as he chased after her with CQ in hand.

“The doctors for a blood sample,” Lutarna replied as she rushed down the halls.

“LUTARNA, IT’S A HOLIDAY TO DAY!!! MOST EVERYBODY IS OFF EXCEPT THE SKELLETON CREW!!!” CQ shouted.

Stopping in her tracks, it only dawned on her now that she only came in today because of that face; quite building to concentrate.

“Shit,” Lutarna spoke under her breath, “I can’t go outside The Metro either without someone questioning things.”

NILS finally catching up, he looked at his sister in confusion.

“What were you wanting?” NILS asked.

“A blood sample. I can use the ooze on me and get a blood sample to see things under a microscope and analyze the data to figure out how these chemical reactions are happening,” Lutarna explained as she paced around the lobby in thought.

“SIS!!! We’ve only tested the ooze on a few live subjects and that’s how we found the problems we did,” NILS remarked panicked.

“I know this and with the refinements we have, the problem has mostly been taken care of other than some hard coughs do to miss breathing,” Lutarna replied looking stern.

“SIS, we haven’t tested it on you yet! We don’t know how you are going to react in full dose,” NILS remarked concerned.

“Better now then ever,” Lutarna shrugged.

“Honestly my lady, you are being a bit fickle here,” CQ pointed out in annoyance.

“Look, I rather get it from me than one of my people and risk them getting sick again,” Lutarna huffed, “the spots when Alterna lasted only for a few hours. We can do this as a test run but a blood sample from me with fully concentrated sanitized ink will be more helpful in solving this problem completely than anybody else. Now, you in or not?”

Sighing, NILS replied, “Where would we even go? Not the valley. This isn’t public to them yet other than Lulu and the rest of the family. Definitely not Inkopolis.”

“Do you know anybody outside of the valley and city that could help us and keep things under wraps?” CQ questioned.

Pondering on it, Lutarna’s phone went off with a text. Pulling it out and reading it over, Lutarna smirked.

“Actually, I do,” she replied looking smuggled.

Thinking by just abandoning them and pretending they don’t exist makes all the problems stop but it really doesn’t because for as long as he lives there will always be things that remind him of the two of them or if memories the three of them once shared and he will never ever be able to truly forget them and he also even tho he would never ever admit it he is always terrified haunted by the knowledge of Karl not fully knowing him and worrying wondering what that means and eventually it gets to the point he’s realized Karl will one day probably fully forget him but still despite that he can’t bear to face them

Dissidia Final Fantasy: Opera Omnia Rafflesia Raid Banners

The Lure of the Lush (Rafflesia Raid) event just started in the Dissidia Final Fantasy: Opera Omnia (DFFOO) mobile game. This event came with 2 banners.

Lure of the Lush (Rafflesia Raid) Banner 1

The Lure of the Lush (Rafflesia Raid) banner 1  features the following chars and their weapons:

Vayne Carudas Solidor from Final Fantasy XII - 15cp, 35cp, Ex, LD, and Burst or BT

Iroha from Final Fantasy XI - 15cp, 35cp, Ex, and LD

King from Final Fantasy Type-0 - 15cp, 35cp, and Ex

Have all of King’s weapons. His 15cp and 35cp are fully MLB already but his Ex is at base Ex only. 

Vayne’s 15cp, 35cp, and Ex are fully MLB. His Ex is at Ex+ 3/3 or Purple. Missing his LD and BT. 

Have 1 copy each of Iroha’s 15cp and 35cp weapons but neither have been limit broken at all. Have 2 copies of her Ex. Missing her LD.

Have all of Edgar’s and Strago’s weapons, and they’re all fully MLB already. Both Ex weapons have been Purpled. 

Have the passive from the Cloud of Darkness’s 15cp. She’s currently equipped with a copy of her 35cp that hasn’t been limit broken at all. Missing her Ex, LD, and BT.

Reason to Pull for Vayne Carudas Solidor and the Cloud of Darkness?

With the Lure of the Lush (Rafflesia Raid) event, the Burst weapons of Vayne Carudas Solidor from Final Fantasy XII (#ad) and the Cloud of Darkness from Final Fantasy III have become Realizable. Both can now be upgraded to Burst+ 3/3. 

Both chars are pretty good, and they should work well enough for Lufenia+ content (quest level 250; currently the hardest kind of fight in DFFOO) but, from what I’ve heard, both really need to be at BT+ 3/3 or Green to really shine.

Not really all that attached to the Cloud of Darkness (CoD) or Vayne so wasn’t planning on using gems on either of these banners, especially since there are upcoming chars that I’m more interested in pulling for. 

Besides, the resources to Green or BT+ a char are still super scarce so really need to be selective with regards to who to upgrade.

Ace from Final Fantasy Type-0

So far, only have 1 BT+ 3/3 char and that’s Ace from Final Fantasy Type-0. Went all-in on building him. No regrets. He’s been really awesome and looking forward to being able to use him as often as possible. 

So, at the moment, don’t really feel like I need another Green char and can just wait until a fave or someone I’m really interested in comes along.

Vayne Carudas Solidor’s Broken Power A Sphere

However, I was planning to throw a few tickets on both Lure of the Lush (Rafflesia Raid) banners in the hopes of getting lucky.

Vayne’s gonna be a boosted char for a few more events so having even just his LD should help with the Challenge Quests (CQs) that he’s synergy for. 

Vayne also has a really good A Sphere so wouldn’t mind getting more dupes of his Ex. His A Sphere is called Broken Power, and its effect is:

When attacking target afflicted with Break: • Increases BRV damage dealt by 10%

Currently only have 1 copy of this Sphere and I’ve already equipped it to Sephiroth from Final Fantasy VII.

IIRC, already have a few dupes of Vayne’s Ex weapon but more is welcome even if I don’t know yet who else I’d want to give this Sphere to, or if I’d even Purple a dupe Vayne Ex. 

It’s still nice to have the option to get Vayne’s Sphere in case I want a second or even a third or more copies.

Iroha’s Sphere and Weapons

Iroha doesn’t have a good Sphere but I don’t have her built so it’d still be nice to be able to acquire more of her weapons, especially the ones I’m still missing for her.

King’s Break Attack Up Shorter A Sphere

King’s super outdated by now since he doesn’t even have an LD yet (he actually only just recently got one in the Japanese version of DFFOO so it’s gonna be a long, long time before the Global or English version even gets said LD). 

But King’s Sphere is really good although the same can’t be said about its activation condition. It’s an A Sphere called Break Attack Up Shorter, and its effect is:

Raises own ATK by 20% for 3 turns when inflicting Break *Does not stack with same sphere

Unfortunately, very few chars can consistently and constantly proc this Sphere. But it’s perfect for chars who have a rebreak feature like Vayne.

Strago Magus’s Sphere

Strago has a crappy Sphere that isn’t worth talking about at all. Seriously, it’s so bad that it only increases the ATK stat by 5% when other real Spheres usually give a stat up of at least 10%.

Edgar Roni Figaro’s Debuff Power A Sphere

Edgar’s in the same state as King with regards to being outdated but he has a really good Sphere so wouldn’t mind getting dupes of his Ex. 

Edgar has an A Sphere called Debuff Power, and its effect is:

While debuffed enemy present: • Increases BRV damage dealt by 10%

Gave this Sphere to Sephiroth. Yeah, he has triple A Sphere slots and I’ve given him 3 A Spheres that increases the BRV damage he deals by 10% for a total of 30% BRV damage up. 

His third Sphere is Cloud Strife’s (from Final Fantasy VII) Critical Power, which “Raises BRV damage dealt with critical hits by 10%”.

Cloud of Darkness’s Break Hit Raging Magic Attack Up A Sphere

The Cloud of Darkness has an A Sphere called Break Hit Raging Magic Attack Up, and its effect is:

When inflicting Break or attacking target afflicted with Break: • Raises own MAG ATK by 3% up to 5 times, once per turn *Does not stack with same sphere

This is one of the best magical ATK up Spheres so definitely interested in getting at least 1 copy of this, especially since I still don’t have CoD’s Ex.

There’s also the fact that I’m looking to redo my Dimensions’ End: Transcendence Tier 3 clear to free up some characters so having more chars that might do well on the aforementioned series of fights is most welcome.

Free First Multi-Draws on Lure of the Lush (Rafflesia Raid) Banners

As part of the currently-ongoing Halloween Campaign, we get 1 free first multi-draw on each of the Lure of the Lush (Rafflesia Raid) banners.

Decided to do the free multi-draw on the Cloud of Darkness banner first. Was hoping to get something good, of course, but I thought I was more likely to end up with a dupe as usual. 

And so imagine my surprise when I did the free pull and then this appeared -

A Burst orb! OMFG! Could hardly believe this. Never would have thought - I mean, I don’t think I’ve ever gotten a BT on a free draw before. I remember getting a dupe LD before though.

IIRC, it was either Y’shtola Rhul’s (from Final Fantasy XIV) or Bartz Klauser’s (from Final Fantasy V). 

For a new LD from a free draw, I can only remember getting Kimahri Ronso’s (from Final Fantasy X), and that felt like ages ago. Also, missed out on Kimahri’s Ex then so couldn’t really make use of him.

There’s only one BT on the Cloud of Darkness banner so already know who I’m gonna get but it was still really awesome to see a Burst orb anyway, especially since it feels like a long time since I last saw one.

Aside from the Cloud of Darkness’s Burst, this free draw also gave me a dupe of Edgar’s Ex and my very first copy of CoD’s Ex. 

Wow! This was a really awesome free pull. Super pleased to see all of these.

In contrast to such a super special awesome free multi-draw on the Lure of the Lush (Rafflesia Raid) banner 2, my free pull on banner 1 was very meh although I didn’t think so at first since I actually got a gold orb.

When I saw the gold orb, was hoping for something good. Unfortunately, only ended up with dupes of King’s 35cp and King’s Ex. 

Sure, King’s Sphere gives a really high increase to the ATK stat but due to the activation condition, very few chars can make use of this so it’s not as good as it could be.

Ticket Pulls on the Lure of the Lush (Rafflesia Raid) Banners

After getting the Cloud of Darkness’s Burst, was even more inclined now to throw tickets on her banner for her LD. 

Also still eying Vayne’s banner for his LD. Currently have 517 tickets on hand. Hoping to get both LDs before I run out of tickets.

Opted to do a 10-pull first on one banner then switch to the second then go back to the first. Sometimes, I’d end up doing maybe 2 or so 10-pulls before going back to the other banner.

As usual, got lots of bronze and silver crap. Got some gold dupes as well, including a lot of dupes of King’s weapons. 

At least I was also able to get like one or 2 copies of Iroha’s 15cp and 35cp. Got a few dupe Ex weapons although they weren’t always the ones with the good Spheres.

Thankfully, the Cloud of Darkness’s LD showed up eventually. Actually ended up getting 2 copies on a 10-draw.

Got a gold orb so was expecting the usual Ex dupe but was pleasantly surprised to get my first 2 copies of CoD’s LD.

Got no other golds on that 10-pull but it was fine. With the appearance of the Cloud of Darkness’s LD, I now have at least 1 copy of each of her weapons so done with this banner. Will just use Power Stones to limit break all of them.

There was no point in wasting any more tickets here, especially since I still don’t have Vayne’s LD. Have 457 tickets left when the Cloud of Darkness’s LD showed up. 

Really pleased that she didn’t cost me that much at all. Hopefully, I can snag Vayne’s LD as well. His BT would be a nice bonus too but certainly not gonna chase after it with tickets.

So now I went back to the Vayne LD and BT banner. After a few more 10-pulls, got a gold orb. This one gave me 3 golds - dupes of Vayne’s 15cp and 35cp and -

My very first copy of Iroha’s LD! Pleased to have gotten her LD although I do wish this had been Vayne’s instead.

Have 407 tickets left when Iroha’s LD showed up.

After a lot more 10-pulls, got a gold orb and Vayne’s LD finally graced me with its presence.

So pleased it actually showed up. Was afraid I’d run out of tickets without being able to get it.

Now that I have Vayne’s LD, can finally be done with this banner. His BT didn’t show up but it’s fine.

It will be featured in a few more banners so might still have a chance of getting it. We’ll see, I guess.

Have 377 tickets left after Vayne’s LD showed up. Not bad at all. Really glad I still have some tickets left to toss on other banners in the hopes of acquiring more new LDs.

Vayne Carudas Solidor from Final Fantasy XII

Since I got Vayne’s LD, spent the Power Stones needed to fully MLB it. Bought his Bloom Stone and finished the rest of his Summon Boards.

Decided to hold off on giving him any of his Character Enhancement Boards for now since not sure yet how much I’ll be using him.

Already farmed for his perfect Artifacts before - triple ATK 108 with Imperial Consul Boost★★ (Raises MAX BRV, ATK by 5% with active buffs).

Cloud of Darkness from Final Fantasy III

Spent all the Power Stones needed to fully MLB all of the Cloud of Darkness’s weapons. Bought her Bloom Stone and finished all of her Summon Boards. 

Like with Vayne, also decided to hold off on giving her any of her Character Enhancement Boards. Ah, if only the points needed to max out these Boards weren’t so scarce, would gladly max out both Vayne and CoD.

Never got to use the Cloud of Darkness before since I missed out on her Ex, LD, and BT so it was only now that I bothered to build her up. 

This meant I also had 0 Artifacts for her. So had to farm the Lure of the Lush (Rafflesia Raid) co-op and fuse for her Arts.

It took a while but was pleased to eventually be able to get triple of her preferred Artifacts - ATK 108 with Mediator of Light and Dark Boost★★ (Raises MAX BRV, ATK by 5% while Annulling Power active). Too bad 2 of them cost a whopping 15cp.

Conclusion

Headcanon: Revelation's Plot

Okay, so. We've established that Revelation is the final timeline, and when Anankos is the defeated the time loop ends. That's all well and good, but Revelation is kind of a hot mess so here I am to fuck with the plot.

Izana does not die after receiving the message from the gods. This added nothing to the story nor would his survival change anything. Instead, Izana is rendered very weak and drained after the communication with the gods, and must rest in Izumo. He will join the party alongside Fuga when the level 3 bathhouse is completed- In universe this is shortly before the jump into Valla.

Gunter is not the traitor, and therefore does not kill Scarlet. Again, his possession does not contribute to the story in any way nor does removing it detract from anything. While Anankos attempts to possess him and it causes Gunter to act strangely for a while, Gunter's will is strong and he is able to shake off the Silent Dragon's influence. Ultimately, Gunter is a red herring.

Takumi, being possessed partially in BR and fully in CQ, is another red herring-- Araceli has seen Takumi under Anankos' influence before, more times than she can count, so naturally her thoughts will turn to him when the idea of a "traitor" comes up. Of course, she would be under the belief that any betrayal on Takumi's part is unwilling.

I'm on the fence as to whether Scarlet dies or not for the same reason I'm removing Gunter's possession. Since Revelation is the miracle, I'm tempted to let her live. Should Scarlet die, her murderer is Arete instead.

She falls for Anthony's trap hook, line, and sinker- Araceli has never met him until now, and is therefore completely fooled by his youth and apparent innocence. She does not leave a note nor notify anyone she's leaving, and it's by chance that she is seen by a member of the army and subsquently rescued.

After the boss fight with Mikoto, she reveals that Anankos is Araceli's father. Araceli promotes into Valla Noble after this revelation.

Lilith is the traitor, accompanying the party instead of simply watching over the Astral Castle, therefore taking on a real role in the plot. The Awakening trio play a role in exposing Lilith, and a boss fight with her will replace the Gunter fight. Araceli subsquently realizes Lilith is her younger sister, and must reconcile that with her betrayal. See this post for details!

The babyrealm does not exist. Any second gens appearing in the plot will have time travelled from a failed Revelation, much like in Awakening.

After Anankos is defeated, Araceli and Aqua will co-rule Valla. Aqua's family has priority for inheritance, however. In the event that Araceli ends up in Embla and develops a ship (ie; with Ephraim), she will leave Valla entirely and go to her ship partner's world.

Johnson & Johnson Covid Vaccine to Be Paused in US Over Blood Clots

FDA and CDC release statement recommending pause

Six reported US cases of ‘rare and severe problem’

US health agencies have recommended states pause the administration of the Johnson & Johnson coronavirus vaccine, after reports of rare and severe blood Clots Emerged In Six Women. More than 6.8M Doses Dave Been Administered nationally.

The concerns mirror those of drugs agencies in Europe and Australia over the AstraZeneca vaccine, which has not been authorized in the US. There have been no significant safety concerns raised about the two other vaccines that make up the majority of US supply, from Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna.

The acting FDA chief, Janet Woodcock, said: “We’re recommending this pause while we work together to full understand these events.” The decision was taken in coordination with the CDC.

Woodcock said: “Right now, I’d like to stress these events appear to be extremely rare. However, Covid-19 vaccine safety is a top priority for the federal government. We take all reports of adverse events related to the vaccine very seriously.”

The FDA and CDC said in a joint statement: “People who have received the J&J vaccine who develop severe headache, abdominal pain, leg pain, or shortness of breath within three weeks after vaccination should contact their healthcare provider.”

Officials with both agencies said the events occurred between one and two weeks after the vaccine was administered, past the stage when many people might experience common, flu-like symptoms associated with the vaccine.

Officials said people who received the vaccine more than one month ago should consider their risk “very low”.

Anne Schuchat, the deputy principal director of the CDC, said she understood many Americans who had already received the vaccine were “probably very concerned” but emphasized the syndrome associated with the vaccine was exceedingly rare.

Nevertheless, “it was clear to us we needed to alert the public,” Schuchat said. Officials are also expecting to discover more cases in the coming days, as clinicians realize the potential link to recent vaccination.

Officials also warned clinicians to be on the lookout for the rare syndrome, as using a common treatment for blood clots – the blood thinner heparin – could be “dangerous” and worsen the syndrome.

All six cases of the clotting disorder were women were between the ages of 18 and 48. One woman died, and a woman in Nebraska is hospitalized in critical care, according to the New York Times. Johnson & Johnson’s vaccine is also under scrutiny by the European Medicines Agency, which is investigating four cases of clotting.

The US has administered 192,282,781 doses of vaccines in the country as of Tuesday morning and distributed 245,364,805 doses, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said.

It comes as US federal health agencies recommended pausing the use of J&J Covid-19 vaccine for at least a few days after six women under age 50 developed rare blood clots after receiving the shot.

Health agencies said the blood clotting concern is “extremely rare”. Authorities are still investigating whether the clotting is indeed caused by the vaccine.

The background rate of similar clotting disorders is between two and 14 people per million. However, the presence of low platelet count in conjunction with the clotting makes the syndrome remarkably similar to clotting seen with the AstraZeneca vaccine.

As of 4 April, there have been 222 cases of blood clots among the more than 34 million globally who have received the AstraZeneca vaccine. The European Medicines Agency has examined 86 cases of blood clots, 18 of which have been fatal. US officials said they are “in constant contact with regulators worldwide”.

J&J said in a statement: “The safety and wellbeing of the people who use our products is our No 1 priority. At present, no clear causal relationship has been established between these rare events and the Janssen Covid-19 vaccine.”

Janssen is the division of Johnson & Johnson that developed the vaccine. Johnson & Johnson also said it will “proactively” delay the rollout of the vaccine in Europe.

US officials also said they are looking closely at whether the technology shared by the AstraZeneca and Johnson & Johnson vaccine could have a link to the syndrome.

J&J and AstraZeneca use a vaccine technology called an adenovirus platform to prompt immunity. The technology uses a second, weakened cold virus to deliver the genetic payload of the coronavirus to the immune system, and spur the body to make antibodies. AstraZeneca’s vaccine uses a virus derived from chimpanzees, where J&J’s uses a human virus.

Dr Peter Marks, director of the center for biologics evaluation and research at the FDA, said: “It’s plainly obvious to us already that what we’re seeing with the Janssen vaccines looks very similar to what was being seen with the AstraZeneca vaccine.”

However, a mechanism that may cause the potential connection between clotting and the adenovirus platform is not clear. Officials said they currently hypothesize the reaction may relate to an immune response involving platelets. Moderna and Pfizer use a different vaccine platform called messenger RNA, to provoke the body to build antibodies.

Independent experts have said the “pause” in administration shows federal monitoring systems for potential adverse side effects of the vaccine are working.

Scott Gottlieb, a former FDA commissioner, said on CNBC’s Squawk Box: “For most consumers, I wouldn’t be concerned about this. Really this is an alert to doctors. That’s how FDA framed it. It’s advice to doctors to be monitoring more closely.”

The pause in administration of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine may also cause a hit to the American immunization campaign, which was set to administer hundreds of thousands of easy-to-administer doses provided by the company. The White House denied the pause would have a significant impact, and said vaccination appointments could be rescheduled.

The J&J pause comes at a perilous time in the pandemic. Despite the strides made in immunizing all adult Americans, with 74 million people and 22% of the public fully immunized, Covid-19 cases are rising in several states, such as Minnesota, and remain high in others, such as Michigan.

With a weary public and the return of warm weather in much of the country, politicians have had little appetite to renew restrictions on social life and many instead say the vaccination campaign can curb cases.

The new concerns are also likely to inflame partisan tensions and the conspiracy theorists. Republicans, especially men, remain the most hesitant to receive a coronavirus vaccine after national politicians and Donald Trump downplayed the seriousness of the virus.

Vaccine hesitancy could play an increasingly significant role in whether the US is able to curb the pandemic, or if the viral spread is allowed to continue and circulate regionally. Although the exact level of immunity needed to squash viral spread is not known, experts believe between 70-90% of the public will need to be vaccinated.

Because children make up about a quarter of the US population, that level of immunity would require nearly every US adult to be vaccinated to stop spread.

U.S. student loan system will lead to 'inevitable cancellation,' expert argues

Income-based repayment (IBR) plans are sometimes touted as the best alternative to student loan forgiveness, potentially helping reduce the debt burdens held by millions of American student borrowers.

A recent paper from the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER) suggested that expanding existing IBR plans and making them more generous could be more effective at providing relief than forgiveness, particularly for middle- and lower-income borrowers.

But IBR plans, which are tied to borrowers’ incomes, “underestimate the crisis of non-repayment,” Marshall Steinbaum of the Jain Family Institute wrote in a recent report. Optimism that IBR plans will fix the student debt crisis, Steinbaum argued, rests “on the false assumption that entrance into the labor market allows borrowers to achieve solvency.”

At the end of the day, according to Steinbaum, there will have to be “inevitable cancellation because the debt won’t be paid back.”

A recent Wall Street Journal article corroborates that argument: The Education Department expected an eye-popping $435 billion loss on the $1.37 trillion in government-held student loans as of January 2020, according to a government analysis obtained by the Wall Street Journal.

And according to the latest annual report from Federal Student Aid, which handles the trillion-dollar student loan portfolio, the balance of loans in repayment status had been growing between 2016 and 2019 before the coronavirus pandemic in 2020 led to a pause on federally-backed loans.

The pause, which began in March and was recently extended, means that borrowers haven’t been seeing interest on their loans accrue — and they haven’t been required to pay back any debt.

Digging even deeper into the data, the vast majority of student loans — roughly 90% or $1.18 trillion — are currently in “default/bankruptcy/other status” amid the federal pause.

And it’s unclear how FSA will get these borrowers back on track for repayment when the payment pause expires on January 31, 2021.

Already, lawmakers have called for a further extension of that relief.

“There are hard months ahead, and I’ll keep fighting to give student loan borrowers the peace of mind they need to breathe easier,” Senator Patty Murray (D-WA) said in a statement last week.

Who is on income-driven a repayment plans?

The IBR program, also known as income-driven repayment, were created under the Bush administration, to help borrowers repay their student loan debt. The Obama administration expanded the program.

Payments were capped at 10-15% of borrowers’ income per month. After making regular payments for 20 to 25 years, the program promised, a borrowers’ debt would be discharged.

Roughly 7 million borrowers are taking advantage of these programs to pay off about half of the $989 billion in outstanding federal student loans, the Government Accountability Office (GAO) reported in March 2020.

An earlier report from the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) also noted that based on a breakdown of 2017 stats, roughly three-fifths of the debt being repaid on IBR programs were incurred by graduate students (who generally hold more debt).

And while income-based repayment plans have been proposed as a way to help borrowers out of their student debt, two experts said that the plan is not likely to work unless big reform was forthcoming.

IBR plans were “designed to address a liquidity crunch: Since students are graduating with more debt, they may not earn enough immediately upon entering the workforce to pay it down,” Steinbaum explained, adding that the government wanted to ease those with high levels of student loan debt into repayment.

Steinbaum acknowledged that these programs had in the beginning prevented delinquency and default. But they “will never be successful as a solution to the student debt crisis,” he stressed, “because they’re designed to address a liquidity problem rather than the real problem — solvency.”

The underlying problem, according to Steinbaum, is the cost of higher education and income inequality.

The Trump-era Education Department (ED), meanwhile, has asserted that the IBR program was working well.

“We’ve recognized that there is an increased reliance on income driven repayment, income driven repayment is there to help borrowers manage their repayment obligation,” Diane Jones, principal deputy undersecretary at the U.S. Department of Education, said recently.

However, indicating some inefficiencies in the program, Jones noted that “it turns out that the department was not confirming the income or family size” so “there were borrowers in income driven repayment that perhaps shouldn’t have been there or that perhaps we’re paying a lower payment than their salary would have otherwise required them to pay.”

‘Isn’t being repaid and isn’t going to be repaid’

Another issue related to IBR programs is that the income-contingent payments often don’t keep up with the exorbitant interest rates on student loans, Steinbaum’s data revealed.

Using demographic and economic data from the American Community Survey, Steinbaum found that even after a decade of repaying their student loans, the median student loan borrower had only paid off 63% of their loan balance (purple line).

“That means that over 50% of the borrowers with outstanding debt in 2009 hadn’t fully paid back their student loans 10 years later,” Steinbaum explained.

The WSJ report found that consultants employed by ED realized that IBR plans were a key source of the estimated $435 billion loss that the government would eventually eat: “Borrowers in income-driven repayment will repay, on average, 51% of their balances, while borrowers in other plans will repay 80%, the Education Department’s analysis shows.”

Looking deeper into zip codes, Steinbaum found a major disparity between races: While more neighborhoods which host mostly minorities have had access to higher education because of student loans, their share of debt has been steadily rising.

The racial disparity in the student loan system has been documented previously. A September 2019 report that followed college students starting college in 199 found that 20 years later, the median white student had managed to pay off 94% of their debt while their Black counterpart still had 95% of their debt.

Ultimately, the data point to the fact that “we already have a great deal of student debt outstanding that isn’t being repaid and isn’t going to be repaid,” Steinbaum wrote in his recent report.

Good question LOL. I never really thought a lot about how they might canonically get together...I just kinda assume they’re already basically married by CQ and living their best retired husbands life in Rain Village. But anyway for some ideas:

Goodbye Kiss at Changbai Mountain

I like the idea of Wu Xie being just so desperate to make Xiaoge stay that rationality has gone out the window, and he isn’t thinking about what he’s doing at all because his mind is blank and all he wants is for Xiaoge to stay, and next thing he knows he’s yanking Xiaoge by his collar and kissing him. And Xiaoge is kissing him back. (This is followed by, of course, Xiaoge knocking out Wu Xie anyway, and then 10 years of Wu XIe being...yeah. Maybe at some point in Sha Hai, still recovering from being fucked up on snake venom earlier and not fully in his right mind, he accidentally confesses to Pangzi that he kissed Xiaoge, and neither of them know what to say after that.) 

When they finally pick up Xiaoge from the gate, there’s a Lot unsaid after 10 years, and Pangzi takes the first chance to dip as soon as they get back to the hotel so Wu Xie and Xiaoge can work their thing out and finally like, have a freaking conversation about feelings or something. And then kiss again, but this time, instead of goodbye, it’s “welcome home”.

Amnesiac Xiaoge Assumes They’re Already Together (UN)

Xiaoge forgot everything, but he still remembered Wu Xie. And he feels safe and warm around Wu Xie, and Wu Xie had cupped his face with such tenderness and smiled at him like that...so Xiaoge just, assumes he and Wu Xie had already been together. And tbh with the way Wu Xie was looking at him in that scene in UN, who could blame him?

Like holy shit.

(Not to mention Wu Xie has spent weeks wallowing in a depressed slump in Wushanju and then he sees Xiaoge remembers him and he smiles so brightly.)

Anyway, Pangzi comes over with Xiaoge and Xiaoge is...weirdly friendly almost? Like even though he’s still kind of in a daze most of the time, he leans into Wu Xie when he has the opportunity, falls asleep against Wu Xie’s shoulder, and is generally just clingier than Wu Xie remembers seeing him. He also like, starts off making occasional, clumsy attempts to hold Wu Xie’s hand and Wu Xie catches on pretty quickly and soon that becomes something as natural as breathing, too, where they’ll be sitting on the couch together and either one of them will just absently reach out and take the other’s hand in his own. (This all assuming there’s more time before they go to Banai.)

But Wu Xie is ecstatic that Xiaoge is so comfortable being close to him, because even if Xiaoge’s acting a little different these days, he’s also just lost his memory and all he knows are Wu Xie and Pangzi. And he even remembered Wu Xie’s name! Except it all comes to a head one day when Wu Xie goes to wake up a sleeping Xiaoge on the couch or something, and a half-asleep, bleary-eyed Xiaoge just casually leaves up for a kiss like it’s totally normal and Wu Xie’s brain goes !!!!!!!!! [crashes]

Then he realizes that, actually, he...likes this? And because a just-awake Xiaoge with sleep-ruffled hair is an adorable sight to behold, he kisses him again for good measure. Pangzi can’t believe that’s how they got together, but he’s not gonna look a gift horse in the mouth because hey, they finally got their shit together somehow.

Wu Xie Thwarts Post-CQ Matchmaking Attempts by Creating a “Fake” “Girlfriend”

Wu Xie can’t just have his happy Rain Village retired life in peace because his Er-shu has teamed up with his parents to try to get him to marry a nice girl, settle down back in Hangzhou, make 2 babies or whatever, and continue the Wu family line. Desperate and at the end of his rope, Wu Xie starts spinning a wild story about an imaginary girlfriend he’s been courting for years that he’d been hiding from his parents because she’s not the conventional nice girl they’d always wanted him to marry; heck, she’s almost as tall as him, and she’s actually really strong and independent and usually rather aloof; lots of people think she’s scary and cold but she’s really very nice at heart and always tries to help people; she doesn’t really come from a very conventional family and they weren’t the greatest to her when she was a kid...

...not realizing that when he’d apparently tried to describe his ideal “secret girlfriend”, he’s literally just describing Xiaoge but with the pronouns changed lol.

So Wu Xie’s parents of course want to now meet this “secret girlfriend”, and Wu Xie stalls them with some bullshit about maybe one day when she feels more ready, mentally panicking over which one of his female friends will be willing to pretend to be his girlfriend for a dinner or something, all the while his Er-shu is suspiciously silent and side-eyeing Wu Xie. Later he takes Wu Xie aside and is all, “Xiao Xie, as your Er-shu, I want you to be happy, and...if this is it, if Zhang Qiling makes you happy, then so be it. I can accept that. But you have to explain the truth to your parents yourself.”

Wu Xie’s brain crashes, reboots, and he finally has his long overdue “OH HOLY FCK I’M IN LOVE WITH XIAOGE” moment when he realizes what he’d been talking about this entire time. And then he like, calls Pangzi in the middle of his midlife crisis gay panic breakdown and Pangzi just laughs at him for a solid five minutes. Wu Xie doesn’t know how to deal until he hears his Er-shu has gone behind his back to “send his blessings” to (or threaten, who knows what those blessings actually entailed) Xiaoge and the Zhang family, and oh fuck Xiaoge knows now what do I do--

In the end Wu Xie finally discovers, waaaaay later than he could’ve, that yes, Xiaoge has loved him this entire time. Pangzi continues to laugh at him in the background but he’s also glad they finally got their shit together.

It Just...Happens

They just settle into their relationship naturally after enough time passes. There’s no grand, adrenaline-fueled declarations of love after passing the brink of life and death; they’re just comfortable around each other in a way that’s different from how they are with any of their other friends, even Pangzi. Like, it’s natural they’d end up together--they know they’re the most important person to each other, and they know each other in a way no one else does, in a way no one else can. And after waking up in bed together for the nth time, curled up against each other in the peaceful early mornings at Rain Village, after everything they’ve been through together, kisses and “I love you”s just feel like...well, of course it would be this way.

GO!: Angela Rye Confirms She And Common Are No Longer An Item

Celebrity relationships can either go amazingly well or crash and burn. Unfortunately one of our favorite duos did not make it.

Bossip is reporting that Angela Rye and Common are no longer dating. It has been rumored the two had stopped seeing each other for some time but neither had touched on the elephant in the room. On her recent “Kwanzaa Edition: 2019 Year in Review podcast” she finally spoke on the subject when responding to questions from her fans during her #AskAngela segment.

When asked “What happened with you and Common?! I just love to see black love!” the political analyst responded with a very detailed answer that gave insight on why the two went their separate ways.  “What I would say happened is we broke up. We were together for about a year this time and we broke up, I think it was September-ish maybe, because we just want different things” she revealed.

“This was right after the time that I realized I was going to take the second godson, the 9-year-old [Ryan], more often. I had told him about it the day before. We had been talking probably for two months about ‘Let’s see where things go’ because I’m leaning towards ‘I want kids’ and he was leaning towards ‘I don’t know,’ and I think when somebody tells you they don’t know they don’t really want that, they just don’t want to hurt you” she theorized”.

Rye went on to explain that it all boiled down to being at different stages of their respective lives. “For me, I was like, I’m clear, I’m getting clarity around what I want for myself…so the thing that I would say is he is more established in his career a we have a little bit of an age difference and he has a fully grown wonderful human daughter I love, Omoye, in law school so not wanting to start over is a thing.”

According to her they ended things on a good note citing they still will be friendly. ”I remember us having this conversation the day after we talked about Ryan and he said ‘I don’t know if I want to have kids,’ and I said, ‘I don’t know what else there is to talk about.’ I think it was an amicable parting of ways. But we’re very clear about the fact that we were not aligned in those interests. We will always be friends. He’s a really good person. I’m kind of glad you asked this, there’s so many stories about what happens.”

So here is the old fanfic like I said. This is a Momma CQ fanfic i did like almost 2-3 years ago (i wasn't even in tumblr at this time, i think). I just made a few changes with some stuff, also sorry it's kinda of long.

And before we begin I wanna give a comment; “I still feel like this was really stupid cause damn so *SPOILER WALL* and if you don’t want to read about any fucked up shit and a little kid dying I advice you not to read this” (also sorry for any mistakes, english is not my first language, and i highly reccomend you check out the comic in the link above) -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Anyway let's begin:          Geno(the older one, I'll call him Sans cause it's easier): "Don't worry you'll be better then okay. *sigh* but I guess now is better than that day uhn?" Geno (kid one I'll just call him Geno.) looked questionably. Sans asks after a little pause "oh right what day is it for you today?" Geno answers "it's the 15 of February, 2019." (yo just so you know this is a random date so don't think too much about it) "Oh", exclaimed Sans "I see, [*whisper* no wonder] well you'll get well soon don't worry". He pats Geno in the head and walks to the door but turns one more time to Geno and says "Oh and remember stay happy and rad, after all you wouldn't wanna be unradical would you. Good luck, take care of our little bros don't belittle your life, and maybe you'll be able to do what i failed to" you could hear a little hint of sadness in the last part. Geno might not have understood this now but he would in not so long.          It had been 5 months since Sans appeared in front of Geno now. It was his lucky day. The 5 months had passed like wind it was all normal the same as always painkillers, exames, error beating the living hell out of fresh (he needs to chill) and sometimes Geno would come home. But today it was different he wasn`t just coming home he was officially out of the hospital, now fully recovered. CQ was on her way to pick him up together with a very excited Error and Fresh like always, but even though he was like always he was still `happy` that his more radical bro would come back. After a little while CQ was already in the hospital to pick up her son, together with error and fresh. They entered the room Geno was assigned and there was Geno as happy as possible standing there waiting for them. CQ was in tears of happiness as she hugged her son then Geno said out of the embrace "mom your squishing me" "oh sorry", said CQ back, "I'm just happy your back with us." CQ moved a little farther away from the hug and Error come next “Geno”, he said happily. He didn`t like physical contact much but he tackled his bro in a pretty strong hug like his phobia never existed. "hey Error", Geno says with a smile. "Sorry, well welcome back.", Error said after realizing what he was doing. "I’m back", responded Geno with a huge smile.          On the way to the car for Geno`s surprise Aunt Com and Ink were in the car. "guys", said Geno in surprise. "Hey Geno you're back", said Ink excited and loud. "yeah ", Geno responded. "good, and try to be a little quieter he just got out of the hospital Ink", said Com. "I'm sorry", said Ink. "no, no it's okay i got out of the hospital but I'm at full potential now", said Geno. You could hear a few sighs and then Com said, " well then come on in already". They then passed 10 minutes discussing who would seat where. In the end Error and Ink were in the front seat sharing the seat(no police, nah not in my fanfic), CQ driving, and Fresh in the window seat in the back, Geno in the middle, and Com in the other side. Of course Error was against having Fresh sitting next to the now recovered Geno instead of him but he lost the fight. While the others had their eyes in the road, a talk started between Fresh and Geno. No one really paid attention to them at all, they were just looking at the road happily. But then Geno started "so Fresh anything new home", Fresh looked at his brother and said "nuh not much same as always broski." "really so nothing new happened", Geno reinforced. "You know the usual, breakfast, daycare, such, and error like always", said Fresh. He then scratched his skull and said "one unhinged dude I tell yah"(you could hear a sneeze from Error in the front seat) "what did Error do?", exclaimed Geno with a hint of anger in his voice. "nothing much just the same as always", answered Fresh. Geno knew something more had happened he knew the 'usual' wasn't pleasant and now he was angry at Error and this wasn't the end.          They all got home and Geno entered saying "it feels so long." "Yeah I know, come on son", said CQ. "ok", responded Geno. He was now home after so long. He was grateful to Sans his visit had given him back his hopes as he was recovering. It was great he was now back home. The family and friends had I little bound time and such then ink and Com went home. They were back in their good old lifes for now. Then Geno saw something as fresh went upstairs, and like always error was mad that he wouldn't make more off of Geno getting home, but he had talked to Geno quite a few times that day, then back to Geno.  He had seen a injury in fresh. More precisely his colar bone as he went up taking off his hoodie. CQ went out and wouldn't be back for long so she said. "take care boys no mishapps, your in charge Geno.*sigh*yes Geno is back now I can let the boys alone together". Fresh was now upstairs and Error & Geno were downstairs. Geno then got back to error and said "so what's new?" Error then responded "Oh you know nothing much." "oh really so can you tell me anything about fresh's colar bone?", said Geno. Error then realized he must have seem it when fresh took his hoodie off, he then answered "uhn well I... he". "what did you do to our brother, Error?", said Geno, ouch now he was angry. Oh boy this was just the start. Geno continued "what did you do?" "nothing", said error, very fast ."nothing, then you can tell what happened to his colar bone please?", said Geno angered."uhm", error knew he couldn't win this, and more he had never seen geno so angry before. So he told about his fight with Fresh and about him saying Geno would be fine, like nothing ever happened. It was much like fresh knew he would make it. Then he heard the day of the fight was the some day sans had showed up in front of him. Geno let out a small gasp, then said "and why did you harm him?" Error said, "he was like nothing happened at all." "well he at least he believed i would be fine error, so why?". Error was now frozen, Geno was yelling at him. "we talked about this before", geno walked away with a sigh. After the fight they made up, but geno was still not very happy about what error did to fresh.          It was a new day. Geno`s 8th day after getting out of the hospital being fully recovered. It was morning, and as unusual as it was error woke up before fresh, geno thought this was strange but let it pass until his mom told him to call fresh she also looked surprised fresh was not awake yet most days he was even da 1th awake even before his mom sometimes. It was already late and CQ had to head out. Geno then said "okay mom" and waved her goodbye. He then went up and into fresh's room it was as colorful as always. And indeed fresh was in bed very unusual he then went up to fresh but something was wrong. As he came up to fresh he was still asleep or maybe 'trying' to. "hey fresh", Geno said shaking him. His skull was boiling. "fresh fresh", geno said and shaked him more. Fresh looked up and said in a shaky voice "mornin’ broski." "Are you ok?", asked Geno in concern. "yeah mah rad bro, just I little dizie", said fresh. Fresh got up but fell down again. "are you sure?", asked Geno trying to help him up. "no worries broski", responded fresh. "k", Geno said still very concerned then he asked "need some help?" "Maybe I little here bruh" fresh answered. Geno then helped fresh get on his feet this was very unexpected fresh had never gotten sick ever ever before. They both headed down where error was. "Finally how long did it take for you to wake up", said error.(this is the part where i think you're the one who sleeps the most in this house dude give the boy a fucking break) He saw Geno helping fresh get down then asked "hey what's wrong?" He knew it was strange for fresh to wake up late but when he saw him now he immediatily knew something was wrong. "nothing broski", said fresh with a soft voice eyes barely open. "His skull Is boiling" said Geno. "boiling", error was surprised at this he never ever ever got sick like really at all. Ink did, Geno did, CQ did, Com did, even he did, but not fresh. He became `worried`. Fresh then almost colapsed down if it wasn`t for Geno grabbing him. The two bros gasped and put fresh in the sofa. "what should we do?", asked error "i don`t know let`s call mom", said geno. The boys tried to call their mom but she would not answer work time she often turned off her private phone when in work. They were hoping today wasn't one of the days she did though but after Geno come back from the hospital she turned it off most days. They didn't know what to do at all. (why i love this drama so much XD i'm so sorry Freshy) Their bro was in the sofa looking very spaced out. They then decide to check his temperature but it was normal. So he was sick but not of a cold they thought of the possibility of the thermometere being broken since when they touched him he was still boiling but that was out when they saw where it was made (you'll just stay in the dark for this one~). Something was wrong but they did not know what and they did not like that very much. They were starting to panic but they were able to compose themselfs, fresh was still awake. "do you want some food?", said geno."Kinda..", said fresh. "here", said error giving him a bow. "thanks broski", said fresh, and whispered "so you can be rad uhn." with a smile. "what", asked error confused.Geno had heard and laughed a little. Fresh still had his shades on they change to NOT-HIN while he ate. "k",said error. Fresh`s boiling state came down and now he was.. less boiling."oh", said geno with a gasp."what broski?", asked fresh. He apparently could not feel himself boil. "Your less hot now", said geno.Fresh`s shades were now ??-?? He then fell asleep. Fresh woke up a while later and said with his usual normal happy voice "morning broskis", he then noticed he was in the couch, now looking confused. "It's not morning", said error annoyed. "you okay now fresh?" asked geno after a long sigh. "what do ya mean?", said fresh still confused. His mom was already back and learned about what had happened to fresh she then asked too "you better?". Fresh just repeated more confused "what do ya mean?" He did not remember that morning. "what I mean that you-", said error. Noticing geno stopped him, he backed down. "don't you remember?", asked geno."remember what broski?", asked fresh still confused. "oh great he doesn`t remember good" said error more annoyed. "at least he doesn`t remember you being all worried about him error", said geno. Error blushed softly. Fresh looked at both and in front again he was really confused now.          Some days passed, everything was back to normal with a healthy geno on it. There were still the fights, and geno still wondered about what had happened that day with fresh. Mostly it was all great and such. So they went to the day care that day it was da 1th day geno would actually go there. So today ink had come exactly at the same time as the 3 boys.They were now going in. They entered and error would remain close to ink as always or very far from other people, but now closer to geno."come on error", said geno. "Ye come on error", said ink. Fresh looked more free than the others just walking around. While in the daycare error was mostly or close to geno or to ink or the both. After a little geno went up to fresh. "hey fresh what you doing", asked geno."nothin’ much, i'm waitin for someone", said fresh."oh you have a new friend', said geno. "new, nah friend uh- not sure they fall in that cathegory either", exclamed fresh. Then geno saw what his brother meant, it was dat girl or supposily a girl cause he or she was genderless and did not mind being called either. (Teir name was Ri just random character i added for the sake of this story when i didn't know how to move on nothing special just a extra by me), somehow fresh had 'befriend' them or maybe the opposite they had befriended him."Hey freshy", they could hear a faint voice. " Yo Ri" replied fresh, "how yah doing." "Fine and you", asked Ri with a smirk , "hello geno, your back how nice, da more reasonable *whisper*sane brother." The 3 talked until Ri had to go their 'dad' picked them up. "bye, Ju(another extra i ended up adding) is here". After a while their mom came to pick them up. Ink and error wondered were the 2(at least geno) had gone they said they went to talk to a friend which was partly true if you would call them a friend. Them they went home.          Few more months had passed peacefully really it was great. It was neutral, less fights still had though, a few times geno would join fresh and talk to Ri it was nice. But sometimes he wouldn`t understand her very well and sometimes there was a something in them that made it strange to be by their side like they weren't a human but they weren't a monster either but in general it was good .Error was away with their mom and it was just fresh and geno in fresh`s room. That day a suprise came to geno`s door well fresh`s door to be exact.Sans was there again he didn`t know how but he was there like last time. "Oh i'm lost again", fresh and geno heard the imeadiatilly recoginized the voice. "what-",fresh was confused as he heard a voice that sounded exactly like his bro. But geno knew it was sans. "hey you again", sans said as he looked through the door.He then noticed where he was that colorful room he could recoginaze it from anywhere. He then saw fresh next to geno.He almost let a tear out of his eye but pushed it back. But he was not able to fool fresh with this. Geno explained to fresh that sans was actually geno from the future. "makes sense since he came from nowhere", said fresh. "hey, mini me", sans said with his most normal voice possible. "hey", answered geno. "Well I didn`t think I would see you- me again." "yeah, same here, life is full of suprises I guess", responded sans. Then the 3 heard another familiar voice, error. "geno where are you, we'll be late." "oh error is calling me, btw what day is today", said sans as he turned to the door. "it's september 27, 2019"(another random date), answered fresh. "one more year uhm",sans said. "what", asked geno."nothing", said sans.He then huged geno out of nowhere and whispered "remember to stay happy ok, and enjoy life". "uhm" geno was confused. Then before sans went, fresh said. "So your from the future, what's future me doing have i became a slacker, leaving you unrad like that, might as well change the future if you became like that." "Huhn, I can never scape from you can i", responded sans, with a soft sad smile "your right you would be pretty unhappy if you saw me now uhm". "uhm I'm not sure, can i feel happy there", said fresh. "well that's still a mystery", said sans winking before leaving the room. The two bros did not know the meaning of those words yet. But they opened to it. "what was that?", asked geno."you asking me broski, cause I have no idea", responded fresh. "yeah I know me neither", said geno."so where were we?", asked fresh. "here, here it is",answered geno pointing at something. They were playing a board game.          Then they heard the door opened, right when they finished the game. "it`s ma", said fresh. "yeah let`s go down she might need our help", said geno. "yeah", said fresh following behind geno. "Hey ma, need help?", asked fresh coming down the stairs. CQ was carring 1 bag, than she said "no thanks boys I got it". "ks", said fresh.Than error came running in with ink. "hello ink", said geno. "hey geno", said ink. "you can came in ink", said CQ "I'm makin dinner and goind somewhere with your mom". "my mom?",said ink a bit confused. "yeah you're staying here today" you could hear a "yay" from ink. "the futons are ready so you can sleep when ever you want just make sure to get some rest okay" , said CQ walking towards the kitchen. "kay" said ink now very happy. CQ made dinner and they all ate together. Than after a while CQ and Com went out, leaving some messages before hand " no opening doors to strangers boys", said CQ. They all just said they knew that much and she turned back another time and said "uhn but you can open the door or your friend Ri"(they're minor to the story so don't think too much about them) "uhn Ri is coming didn't hear anything "said Fresh as a answer. " their 'father' asked today, so i said yes since i know him and you know them. "Kay ma", fresh simply replied. Error was not happy with this at all he never got along with them. He then mumbled "no opening for strangers". CQ turned back one more time said "and no locking them out Error", and went to her car. "ugh", error protested revolted.          1 hour had passed since Cq and Com had gone out, the boys then heard a knock in the door. *knock knock* "who's it", asked geno. "it's suppose to be who's there you did it wrong", it was Ri no doubt. Fresh then opened the door and there they were. "hi", said Ri. The boys said "hello", back except error. Well they weren't really waiting him to either. Ri had nothing with her but 6 packets in her hand. "this is for you geno, this is for you fresh, this one for ink, this for Cq, this id for Com, and this is for..." they paused while handing the others their packets and looking at error looked at teh other 3 and then gave it to error. The boys opened the packets and there were sweets inside, each was carefully picked and dedicated to the given person even error's. "Ju insisted i bring this with me", said Ri. "now we won't get hungry and we have desert", said geno. "true", said Ri agreeing. But than ink said "what about YOURS" "uh no problem i can go months without eating or drinking anything", said Ri. "but that's bad for your health", said ink. Ri just stared at him and walked away. Ink couldn't say anything but from that stare he knew they woud be okay. "So why he get you to come here he normally leaves you home alone right", said fresh. "that's true, actually i'm not entirelly sure why",said RI" he just decided this today out of the blue". "i wonder why", said geno thinking. "uh yeah, so what are you guys up to", they agreed and asked. "nothing much just watching movies, drawing, and stuff", said ink.(it was only him drawing though) "is that do what movie and let me see your drawing", said Ri. They put away their packets with sweets and for the rest of the day they talked and watched movies, sometimes ink would even ask Ri about his drawing and error would stay as away from Ri as possible.          When CQ and Com got home. The four boys were asleep, and so was Ri or that was what it looked like well they were laid in bed at least. CQ and Com smiled at the kids and went upstairs to sleep Com would sleep in the house too today. After a while, that the two went to sleep you could see a fading light coming from Ri they were floating and were no close to sleeping but they looked fine to the point you woud think "how? why are they not tired? this is obviously unatural" but they were fine and the light from their magic what very small so it wouldn't wake anyone up it looked like it would literelly fade as it grew it grew a little and faded in a contiuous loop. In the morning geno was the 1th one to notice a note in the counter it was from Ri. He read it out load and it said "bye my ride is here you're all asleep so i decided not to wake you up and instead wrote this note, no worries i'll see you all very soon. P.S don't forget your sweets" The others were awake. "great she's finally gone", said error(he used she because of their aparence) "error", said geno a bit angry with the others atitude. Error only looked away. "sweets?", said CQ. "Yeah ma Ri said their 'dad' insisted they bring it", said fresh brushing his teeth. "oh really how nice", said Cq. "they brought one for you too mom", said ink. "they did?" said CoM. "yeah look she got one different for based on the person she's giving", said geno. "wow fancy", said Cq. "ha i bet her dad chose it", said error still looking away. "oh her dad might be a good person but he's not a good chooser and this is great", said CoM taking another piece out of the candy.          It was just a day like any other. It was a great day actually. Every thing was good until that happened.. it was the end of the end of the day it was a peaceful night, but error was sleep. The other two boys and Cq were watching a movie it was at the end when it finished fresh was going upstairs. Than suddently error suddently started to glitch really badly apparently he was having a nightmare. He glitched so badly it was starting to make noises, fresh was the 1th to hear them and he could hear it more than it was. Cq and geno were trying to calm error down while fresh would cover his 'ears'. (or the part of the skull a ear would be located) Having error finally calmed down but just before that frsh fell down the stairs and there was a huge thud. Error opened his eyes they were still glitching and he was now crying but he heard fresh fall down the stairs and asked what happened. Geno ran to fresh but all fresh said was "i'm okay just fell from the noise". "noise?", sure geno had heard the glitches but they weren't enough to make a person lose their balance enough to fall down a set of stairs. For some reason error seemed to cry more when he heard fresh's voice, he could kinda see now it was it was enough to know were all the people in the room were located ao he pressed in his mom so fresh and geno hopefully wouldn't be able to see his tears. "you okay bro", asked fresh as he stood up again. All error could do is grumble a "i'm fine". But then geno came closer and asked "did you have a nightmare, what's wrong, you looked like you had a terrble nightmare", said geno. "it's nothing really", said error still a bit in shock. " you sure soon you looked pretty shaken up", said Cq. "nothing", said error again pressing stronger to his mom's chest. "okay if you don't what to talk about it maybe you be better talking about it tomorrow, just tell us when your ready okay", said Cq and she kissed his skull. "k, mom", said error. Dat was the last thing they heard that night.          It was the morning after error had his nightmare. Like most days he was the last to wake up, the rest were eating breakfast as it had passes about 10 minutes since fresh annoyinly woke him up. As he woke up he joined teh rest in the table to eat. Then Cq started "so...". Error imediatilly knew what was coming next so he also began. "that nightmare- in that nightmare..". he glitched a little. "error it's okay if you don't want to talk about it", said geno. Then fresh came in "yeah bro". Error shaked a little at his voice than said "no it's okay I'll tell you guys about my nightmare-" Error said stopping a little again " in my nightmare uh- f-free-sh.. he uhn... he died". They were all shocked with the last word error said did he really mean died of dying of die of death. They were all frozen maybe even error a little at having said that word, but somehow fresh looked at least calmer than the rest by a million times. "uh- i died, how..", fresh asked. "uhn- well" error started "i'm not sure what i saw was you in the ground geno grabing you while you turned to dust mom crying and yelling at someone i was just frozen there doing-nothing and you wipped a tear off of geno's face as i came closer than you said uh-" error cried a little "i forgot but it felt like something important". The rest gasped at his explanation of the scene and frsh was like "wha-". Geno remembered what sans had said to him both of the times he came.          Some days after the dream(nightmare) it had been mostly forgotten. But it ocassionally came back to geno and it would haunt him for a while. It made him worry, but for now he had ignored it so nobody would be suspicious specially fresh he was quick to catch this type of stuff. But somehow he knew for sure the nightmare error had and what sans said were no considence, he couldn't help but have a feeling that something horrible would happen sooner or later. But he was determinated to stop whatever that was as the words "maybe you'll be able to do what i failed to" stuck in his head. It had passed quite some time since sans second visit and today would be his third. Geno was alone today like the first visit, his mom and fresh had goen to the supermarket, error was at ink's , but for no apperent reason geno had decided to stay home and successfully got permison. He himself didn't know quite why he felt like staying. So that morning while he was alone in his room gues who knocked in his door. So there sans was infront if geno once again. "hey it's been a long time uhn- kid", said sans. "yeah I guess you're right", replied geno. "so what day is today", asked sans. "march 5, 2020", said geno (another random date) "Nice", said sans, "it's a great day". Then geno asked looking up at sans "you recorded in you jornal like me". "well yeah", said sans tthen he whispered "i did take a break after that though". "what are you doing today", asks geno. "uh- today i'mm with my bro", says sans. "wait 'my bro' which one, uh now i which a could see fresh and error in the future. Sans would shake a bit everytime fresh was metioned, then her finally said "im with errir today, in the town festival". "really error is there only him, usually fresh is really excited, but anyways how those error looke like now", asks geno. "same as always pretty grumpy, but i guess better than now for you probably", answers sans. "So what about fresh", asks geno. "fresh he uhn he- well he.. his the tallest as always and he is great at everything nothing changed", lied sans. He was never a good lier. "oh i always knew he would get bigger than us and smarter, i bet error is super jelous", said geno. "yeah he (would be) is", sans laughed a little hiding a tear. "but to tell you the true i can't think of a time we'd go to the town festival without fresh he's usually why error has to go", said geno. "oh yeah it took some time to convince him(it's still why he goes)", says sans "he came when i said fresh wouldn't make it ". "that sounds like error", said geno. The two talked a bit about the future/present, and how things turned out and how they were before.Than they heard error call for sans and he went away. Sometime later error, cq, n` fresh came back, but thanks to sans geno wasn`t bored even a bit.The rest of the day he passed playing games with error, and watching movies with fresh. Sans was right it was a great day. Through the day fresh`s shade seemed to change more than usual or mybe it was just that he talked with fresh more than usual. Specially one of the best days, geno would write in his journal.          Today would be another boring day, everyone was out again. Now Geno had nothing to do and he was pretty sure Sans wouldn't appear appear anytime soon. So he was alone with absolutelly nothing to do. So he dicided that since he had nothing to do he would go over his journal. Which left him thinking about the times Sans had come to him, and he knew himself all the times that sans came he had not lied to him much that he noticed at least.But last time he felt like he had missed something so he got together everything he had in sans visits,and he became more worried about fresh as according to his visits.. "it would mean- no". Months had passed and such good life was being spend. I was now September 21, 2020(random date again). Today Cq had something to do, and so did Coun. So today they had to stay in Ri's house. The boy's moms drove them there. When they got there Ri's dad received them. "please come in" the polite man said. (okay maybe not a man- but he was male so eh) He was a skeleton, Ri's monster part (they can turn into a skeleton) "thank you Silver", said Cq and Coun. "not at all there is no harm in adding 4 more kids to this house", said silver. "only you can say that silver", said Coun and she and Cq turned to the door into the car and drove off. "oh well", said Silver then he turned to the stairs and yelled "Ri come down, your friends are here". Ri came down in a second, literally. (they can teleport) "I'm here", says Ri. "Really what did i tell you about teleporting in the house", says Silver. "use onlt when needed, well it was needed cause i didn't want to walk down the stairs", answered Ri. "Where does this laziness come from", exclaims silver. " you know from where it does" says Ri looking at Silver.          "Yes sadly I do", says Silver with a sigh."i know you do", says Ri. Silver ignores the last thing Ri said and turns to the 4 boys "I'm sorry, now well my name is Silver, but you can call me Silv or Sil if you want". The boys look to Ri with a face saying `which one sounds better`. Ri mouths `Sil`. After that they began to get accustumeted to the house. And Sil says he'll show them where they would sleep that night. "this way", says Sil. "okay, mr.sil", says the boys. "you can leave you things there", sil said. And the boys just replied "okay". "Neato it's the first time i came to your house, says Fresh looking at Ri. "oh yeah now that you metion it thats true", says Ri.Then sil says "if its with me you can come when ever you want to". "Thank rad skele-tall". "Pfft", as Ri laughed you could kinda feel Sil staring at her after taking a climpse of Fresh. "Oh well he might be a good person but good thing I don't eat because his food is terrible, I mean need to eat but I can taste". "thanks for the warning, broski", says fresh. Then Ri went inside the house more. A little later they came back "where did those cookies come from",asked ink. "they look great",said geno."I was baking them before you guys come on wanna try", Ri replied. "liar, I bet someone made them for you", says Error "Who I don`t have neighboors and we all know it wasn't my dad" They sigh and " i really should continue that research".(the wingdings say 'continue that research') "dont",Sil says as fast as he could."okay okay come down no need to stress out if you boil too much you might melt "(get it uh uh), says Mercy. "oh my sh- no and stop making puns", says sil."then stop giving me a skele-ton of work", says Ri."really", sil gave up."here have a kitten before the dog gets them all", Ri implies giving the cat shaped cookie to the boys" "*internal screech*god", sil goes."There Is no god from where I came and for where i'm going",says Mercy. "DELICIOUS',ink says in a outbust of happiness very sudently surprising Ri. "let me see",says geno and grab a cookie "it`s heaven". "ok", fresh is next "rad flavor".Then error "its good". Everyone looks at error "i told ya so", says Ri. "so what you want to do boys", asks sil."i propose rad movie", says fresh."i humbly agree", says sil takin out some movies then asking "which one?". They played games and such keeping the movie for last. Then they took turns in the bathroom.And error is all like 'no I can't bath in a strangers house', then Ri is like '"'m not a stranger, get your lazy ass up" and forces him to bath. then they see the movie and sleep.Well the boys and sil. It was morning, Cq and Coun came to pick up the boys. They all said bye as sil waved and said come anytime, Ri was like 'ye, just don`t go in my room, okay'. They could fill their sins crawling in their backs as Ri said that.On the car all geno could think about was the day that had just passed, it was a peaceful and great rest of the day too then he though maybe it would stay like that forever just maybe.           It was finally a new day. Geno was bored as he heard a knock in the door, he asked "who is it?"."its me geno", he could hear from behind the door it was his friend sugar.He then got out off the couch and opened the door with a big smile"hey sugar"."Hey geno uhm you know that you recovered and me too, and I was wondering we haven't had much time to hang out yet like before so you wanna hang out sometime today, if your free that is",said sugar. "sure sugar just gonna ask my mom", responded geno.After he got permission he spend his day with his good friend sugar it was a great day too. And once again in a little a new dayday came. Today geno did not do much but wait for his brother fresh while watching movies with error, and ink.Today it was fresh who was out the day after geno had been with sugar hangin out that day, fresh and error had been alone in the house.It was a boring day for geno, so he decided to ask error, reinforcing the last two words "so how was yestarday no fighting RIGHT ERROR". "don't worry geno not yestarday since I passed here on time", exclaimed ink. "Is that so, good to know, I gotta say as a brother thank you ink`, says geno. It was a new day again,thought geno.He was now officially bored.So he went to play video game with his brothers, and error would glitchout all the times he lost, i mean he glitched a lot and fresh would just say "yo chill bruh"It was the same as always nothing new. Geno was still worried about teh connections with fresh he had made with his jornal to help it was Error's nightmare, sans visits, he suddently falling ill, or he hearing the glitching to be loud. ut it was okay for NOW. So geno told himself it was just another normal day and he had nothin to worry about at all. Well he was right just another boring day. Next day as normal as ever rather a good day until night. It was now THE night that triggered everything. That started the dissaster to come all started with just a simple word MONSTER.          Just a normal night as the boys were walking and a bear monster just came out of nowhere as geno ran to fresh since it was the say the family would go out and buys as many random gifts as they could for no apperent reason at all.(sorry didn't have anything else in mind but this works fine) Geno accidentlt triped in the large monster that appeared suddlently before him. "I'm sorry sir" Geno apologised looking at the far larger monster. "Uh look where your going brat", the monster said shoving away geno. No one seemed very happy with that. The monster was very rude doubt about it he did not seem to care. But error was definitly not happy, he was glitching in anger. ans it seemed to do the same effect in fresh as it did the time he had his nightmare it was a less sad more infuriating glitch. Error took his strings out and pinned the big monster against the wall grabing his soul. The family was shocked. "Error it's okay calm down", said geno. But what he could hear was mored glitched voices all he could say back was "no it;s not okay he thinks he can get out of here unharmed after doing that then he's wrong. This was it he was gonna kill the monster he would be a murder now then pass the rest of life in jail. End- lol just kidding Cq then tried to calm down error but it didn't see to work either. Then fresh came up to error and said "chillax bro". Error looked pissed but now he could here the things around him clearly then geno said "You dont wanna get in trouble just cause a stupid monster did what he wasn`t suppose to, do you". Geno tried again to him calm down he didn`t seem very happy about what the monster did either but he wasn`t about to let his bro go to jail just cause he thought the monsterdeserved it. Then fresh came up, to error. Error only reacted as such "hey who do you think you are", but error stopped when he saw the hint of anger in fresh's face. From his eyes there was a purple lightcoming from underneath his glasses, and it wasn't very welcoming. After the monster was put down he ran and said I'll get you for this you bastards". The was the work UN-RAD in fresh's glasses, and then when they all calmed down they saw this time they didn't get many gifts.After that they all went home. Now time to sleep. Sleep people sleep.The family had a long night so after they got home all they did was get ready to see a movie night special then go directly to sleep. The entire family went to bed, and tommorow would be a long day even longer then they thought it would.It was now officially September 27,2020. Later to be known as The Day of All Disaster. Morning.. the boys were getting ready for the Lishes big carnaval this carnaval only happened once each 5 years and it was finally back, this was fresh's favorite carnaval but also his- it was going all well until about noon, and error started nagging about having to go to the carnaval. "come'on it will be rad broski", said fresh trying to pull error. But he refused to give in "no i won't" said error inrritated, "why do we even have to come to this stupid carnaval anyways" But in the end they got him to go. And there waited a suprise for the family. Kiss good-bye to tommorow. One word MONSTER. It was the huge monster they inccontered that was almost killed by error if it wasn't for fresh. "brats", said the big monster.But he got interrupted by fresh "pf didn't your mother teach you manner bro cause yu spitting on me.(hoho YO GET DUNKED ON he deserved that) The monster definetly did not take this well, and he pinned fresh against the wall. 'You cocky brat, don't think you'll get out of here this time" "uh what's wrong mister i can't seem to hear you who was the one that left crying yesterday", said fresh he seemed pissed. He was Threating a person that fresh. The family was suprised by fresh's words.Words that might have not seem strange if they were error'sbut fresh he seemed upset and it looked like he was ready to kill anytime.

         As the monster continued to pin him against the wall he scaped rather easily actually it seemed like he had done it a dozen of times before.He reacted in his own and put the big monster away from him and his family with that it was clear that fresh was stronger than the big monster.But the monster was not very happy he tried to fight fresh and attacked him.The family gasped and Cq went to call the police as fast as she could.Fresh seemed rather calm but you could see he was very unpleased with the monster`s unradness.He really wasn`t the type to tolarate people like that, he took his shades off to reveal his bland and souless eyes which were now lighten up with a purple light around them.Fresh looked like a image of a rainbow fire. Yoi really wouldn`t want to be that monster right now.The monster panicked after seeing fresh`s eyes as he looked just ready to kill him.The monster acted without thinking and accicidenly hit fresh right in his soul as Cq come back with the police.The monster noticing his mistake fell in the ground away from the family."fresh, fresh",said geno as he grabed fresh"uhm- bro",said fresh.Cq and error were stone.Then error came back to his senses and said"dont worry fresh we`ll call the ambulance", he was glitching a bit and you could almost see a real tear falling from his eye but as if it went back in. But it was too late fresh was becaming dust. "Wait no, don't go fresh", geno said now cryin, and he quickily pulled fresh`s shirt up to see there a very small yet delicate and almost invisible soul it was like it was there just to keep i'm alive, and did not feel much or do anything more then support his physical form but it was fading.It was a bright purple soul but it was now shattered into what seemed like 1 million pieces.Cq had now located the monster and started yelling at him the police had to keep her away from the man before she went to jail together with him.It was a tragedy, than Coun and ink came to check because the family was late and all the noise that was going on there.Coun trying to stop Cq from the monster, and ink error.But at this point I had say he deserves it and hard.Lik fuck you man, go die in a hole. Cq was crying and yellin at the monster, Geno was grabbing Fresh and holdin him up, and Error was frozen not being able to do anything at all, he came closer to Fresh, Fresh wiped away a tear away from Geno`s face and said "whats wrong mah bros, you why are you so sad unrad facial expresion, I even thought ypu were so rad that day Error you cant just stop now, don`t lose your smile 'kays*cough*".It was like they were watching error's nightmare only now it was for real, fresh wouldn`t be there the next morning standin in front of them, saying its 'chill bruh'.Fresh had turned to dust."i'm sorry it was my fault if I didn't bring his attention this would have never have happened", said error standing in front of the pile where now rested Fresh's dust.          It was the day of the nightmare. Fresh had died the family was broken but it was fresh who died he sure wouldn`t be pleased if he saw his family now.So they were able to move on and have good lives. But they would never forget FRESH. In geno's journal September 27,2020 was blank with only the word NIGHTMARE on it.For a few years geno had stopped to write in his journal but after the first Lishes carnival since fresh had died, the day he had died he began to write again.As the years passed he was able to put the puzzles together about sans now every thing made sense and soon he would see himself "you'll be better than ok", but he added something the others were never able to"save him save him please and remember the day September 21,2020 the best day of ur life, but save him pay attention and don't bumb in the big MONSTER".It was true everything about this was true he just hoped this little geno would remember. Later he came back to his journal and without erasing the big nightmare he wrote the details of the day, and cried as he saw his good life. His real encoragement was not sans it was fresh, it had been since day one.

The Six Core Processes of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and How They Improve Physical Therapy Outcomes

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) is rooted in psychological flexibility, which is the ability to contact the present moment more fully as a conscious human being, and to change or persist in behavior when doing so serves valued ends. Psychological flexibility can be broken down into the 6 core processes of ACT. These processes can be utilized by physical therapists in treating patients with chronic pain and to promote positive behavior change. Doing so can increase a patient’s function and allow them to return to living their life in a meaningful way.

VALUES

Values should be established early in treatment, as they will help to guide future care and goal setting.  Physical therapists are very familiar with creating goals for their patients, so it is important to note that values are not the same as goals. Goals are in the future; they have an end date. On the other hand, values are in the present and never have an ending. While they are two separate entities, a patient’s personally held values can be utilized to develop goals that bring them closer to that value. For example, “Pt will be able to lift 20lbs with proper biomechanics” could be a goal for a patient who is a parent and values spending time with their young children and wants to be able to lift them. Values can fall into one of ten domains, including:

1.Family 2. Health 3. Community 4. Social connections 5. Leisure 6. Parenting 7. Marriage/partner/intimacy 8. Work/education 9. Spirituality 10. Professional development. 

Values are crucial because they help to increase compliance in terms of health-related behavior (1,2). They will also help to guide committed action, which will be discussed later.

COGNITIVE DEFUSION

Defusion is a term unique to ACT and is the ability to observe one’s thoughts from an alternative perspective rather than getting caught up in them. The goal of defusion is to change the influence of verbal events on behavioral processes (3), specifically to lessen their negative impact. Defusion is beneficial when patients seem to be stuck within their own thoughts, rather than attempting to look at them from another perspective. Patients with chronic pain may have thoughts such as “I can’t do that because of my bad back”, which can easily lead to a downward spiral of continued suffering and missing out on activities they enjoy and value. One simple way of practicing defusion is simply to encourage patients to notice their thoughts and acknowledge that they are just that; thoughts. They are not necessarily true and may even sound silly when a patient says them out loud.

ACCEPTANCE

Acceptance allows patients to increase their willingness and experience unpleasant sensations and (possibility) pain, instead of constantly trying to avoid it. For example, a patient with chronic low back pain may have anxiety about potential pain when performing certain movements. There is nothing wrong with this feeling or these thoughts but avoiding all movements as a result can have negative impacts on a patient’s quality of life and cause them to miss out on things they value. Using cognitive defusion techniques, a patient should recognize that they are having these thoughts and that they are normal, but it should not cause them to avoid participation in activities that are important to them. Acceptance includes allowing unpleasant emotions, sensations, and experiences to occur, which has been shown to increase task persistence (4). To put it simply, patients should be encouraged to allow unpleasant sensations to be present if it allows them to move closer to their established personal values. Let it be.

PRESENT MOMENT AWARENESS

Mindfulness is a key component of ACT and helps to bring about present moment awareness. This allows a patient to focus on the “here and now” while noticing their thoughts as well as their surroundings. It frees someone from constantly ruminating on the past or potential future and centers their focus on the present. Most patients with chronic pain will likely have a history of prior experiences relating to their back pain in addition to possible fear and anxiety about what the future may hold in terms of their condition. Patients with chronic pain have likely been through a lot; including differing opinions from healthcare professionals, medications, prior physical therapy treatment, imaging, injections, surgeries, and many more. Using short mindfulness ACT techniques to bring them to the present can help promote acceptance and awareness of experiences.

SELF AS CONTEXT

Closely related to present moment awareness is self as context, which allows an individual to access their “observer self”. This process is best explored following several sessions on defusion, acceptance, and present moment awareness. Once a patient has experience noticing their own thoughts and sensations, self as context allows them to notice that there is a part of themselves that does the noticing. In doing so they become less attached to their conceptualized self, which in turn allows them to choose actions that are in line with their values. Emotions, thoughts, and sensations no longer control actions, rather the patient uses values to guide their actions.

COMMITTED ACTION

In order to achieve behavior change, a patient must take committed actions that bring them closer to their personally established values. Committed action helps to expand a patient’s values into larger and larger patterns of activity (3). By embracing the previously mentioned core processes, patients are able to move towards their values even if pain or fear is “along for the ride”. This allows patients to participate in activities that are meaningful to them instead of missing out. This can help increase a patient’s quality of life, even though pain may still be present. This is where goal writing in ACT can come into play and reflect back onto the patient’s values.

Fanfic reupload

So here is the old fanfic like I said. This is a Momma CQ fanfic i did like almost 2-3 years ago (i wasn't even in tumblr at this time, i think). I just made a few changes with some stuff, also sorry it's kinda of long.

WARNING: Long, occasional curse words(mostly from me), death, this is really old so it’s not the current Momma CQ world. Credits: Momma CQ by @alainaprana Characters by @loverofpiggies & @comyet Inspiration(what gave me the idea): comic with Kid!Geno and Geno by @slylock-syl​ And before we begin I wanna give a comment; “I still feel like this was really stupid cause damn so *SPOILER WALL* and if you don’t want to read about any fucked up shit and a little kid dying I advice you not to read this” (also sorry for any mistakes english is not my first language, and i highly recommend you check out the comic in the link above) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Anyway let's begin:          Geno(the older one, I'll call him Sans cause it's easier): "Don't worry you'll be better then okay. *sigh* but I guess now is better than that day uhn?" Geno (kid one I'll just call him Geno.) looked questionably. Sans asks after a little pause "oh right what day is it for you today?" Geno answers "it's the 15 of February, 2019." (yo just so you know this is a random date so don't think too much about it) "Oh", exclaimed Sans "I see, [*whisper* no wonder] well you'll get well soon don't worry". He pats Geno in the head and walks to the door but turns one more time to Geno and says "Oh and remember stay happy and rad, after all you wouldn't wanna be unradical would you. Good luck, take care of our little bros don't belittle your life, and maybe you'll be able to do what i failed to" you could hear a little hint of sadness in the last part. Geno might not have understood this now but he would in not so long.          It had been 5 months since Sans appeared in front of Geno now. It was his lucky day. The 5 months had passed like wind it was all normal the same as always painkillers, exames, error beating the living hell out of fresh (he needs to chill) and sometimes Geno would come home. But today it was different he wasn`t just coming home he was officially out of the hospital, now fully recovered. CQ was on her way to pick him up together with a very excited Error and Fresh like always, but even though he was like always he was still `happy` that his more radical bro would come back. After a little while CQ was already in the hospital to pick up her son, together with error and fresh. They entered the room Geno was assigned and there was Geno as happy as possible standing there waiting for them. CQ was in tears of happiness as she hugged her son then Geno said out of the embrace "mom your squishing me" "oh sorry", said CQ back, "I'm just happy your back with us." CQ moved a little farther away from the hug and Error come next “Geno”, he said happily. He didn`t like physical contact much but he tackled his bro in a pretty strong hug like his phobia never existed. "hey Error", Geno says with a smile. "Sorry, well welcome back.", Error said after realizing what he was doing. "I’m back", responded Geno with a huge smile.          On the way to the car for Geno`s surprise Aunt Com and Ink were in the car. "guys", said Geno in surprise. "Hey Geno you're back", said Ink excited and loud. "yeah ", Geno responded. "good, and try to be a little quieter he just got out of the hospital Ink", said Com. "I'm sorry", said Ink. "no, no it's okay i got out of the hospital but I'm at full potential now", said Geno. You could hear a few sighs and then Com said, " well then come on in already". They then passed 10 minutes discussing who would seat where. In the end Error and Ink were in the front seat sharing the seat(no police, nah not in my fanfic), CQ driving, and Fresh in the window seat in the back, Geno in the middle, and Com in the other side. Of course Error was against having Fresh sitting next to the now recovered Geno instead of him but he lost the fight. While the others had their eyes in the road, a talk started between Fresh and Geno. No one really paid attention to them at all, they were just looking at the road happily. But then Geno started "so Fresh anything new home", Fresh looked at his brother and said "nuh not much same as always broski." "really so nothing new happened", Geno reinforced. "You know the usual, breakfast, daycare, such, and error like always", said Fresh. He then scratched his skull and said "one unhinged dude I tell yah"(you could hear a sneeze from Error in the front seat) "what did Error do?", exclaimed Geno with a hint of anger in his voice. "nothing much just the same as always", answered Fresh. Geno knew something more had happened he knew the 'usual' wasn't pleasant and now he was angry at Error and this wasn't the end.          They all got home and Geno entered saying "it feels so long." "Yeah I know, come on son", said CQ. "ok", responded Geno. He was now home after so long. He was grateful to Sans his visit had given him back his hopes as he was recovering. It was great he was now back home. The family and friends had I little bound time and such then ink and Com went home. They were back in their good old lives for now. Then Geno saw something as fresh went upstairs, and like always error was mad that he wouldn't make more off of Geno getting home, but he had talked to Geno quite a few times that day, then back to Geno.  He had seen a injury in fresh. More precisely his colar bone as he went up taking off his hoodie. CQ went out and wouldn't be back for long so she said. "take care boys no mishapps, your in charge Geno.*sigh*yes Geno is back now I can let the boys alone together". Fresh was now upstairs and Error & Geno were downstairs. Geno then got back to error and said "so what's new?" Error then responded "Oh you know nothing much." "oh really so can you tell me anything about fresh's colar bone?", said Geno. Error then realized he must have seem it when fresh took his hoodie off, he then answered "uhn well I... he". "what did you do to our brother, Error?", said Geno, ouch now he was angry. Oh boy this was just the start. Geno continued "what did you do?" "nothing", said error, very fast ."nothing, then you can tell what happened to his colar bone please?", said Geno angered."uhm", error knew he couldn't win this, and more he had never seen Geno so angry before. So he told about his fight with Fresh and about him saying Geno would be fine, like nothing ever happened. It was much like fresh knew he would make it. Then he heard the day of the fight was the some day sans had showed up in front of him. Geno let out a small gasp, then said "and why did you harm him?" Error said, "he was like nothing happened at all." "well he at least he believed i would be fine error, so why?". Error was now frozen, Geno was yelling at him. "we talked about this before", Geno walked away with a sigh. After the fight they made up, but Geno was still not very happy about what error did to fresh.          It was a new day. Geno`s 8th day after getting out of the hospital being fully recovered. It was morning, and as unusual as it was error woke up before fresh, Geno thought this was strange but let it pass until his mom told him to call fresh she also looked surprised fresh was not awake yet most days he was even da 1th awake even before his mom sometimes. It was already late and CQ had to head out. Geno then said "okay mom" and waved her goodbye. He then went up and into fresh's room it was as colorful as always. And indeed fresh was in bed very unusual he then went up to fresh but something was wrong. As he came up to fresh he was still asleep or maybe 'trying' to. "hey fresh", Geno said shaking him. His skull was boiling. "fresh fresh", Geno said and shaked him more. Fresh looked up and said in a shaky voice "mornin’ broski." "Are you ok?", asked Geno in concern. "yeah mah rad bro, just I little dizie", said fresh. Fresh got up but fell down again. "are you sure?", asked Geno trying to help him up. "no worries broski", responded fresh. "k", Geno said still very concerned then he asked "need some help?" "Maybe I little here bruh" fresh answered. Geno then helped fresh get on his feet this was very unexpected fresh had never gotten sick ever ever before. They both headed down where error was. "Finally how long did it take for you to wake up", said error.(this is the part where i think you're the one who sleeps the most in this house dude give the boy a fucking break) He saw Geno helping fresh get down then asked "hey what's wrong?" He knew it was strange for fresh to wake up late but when he saw him now he immediately knew something was wrong. "nothing broski", said fresh with a soft voice eyes barely open. "His skull Is boiling" said Geno. "boiling", error was surprised at this he never ever ever got sick like really at all. Ink did, Geno did, CQ did, Com did, even he did, but not fresh. He became `worried`. Fresh then almost collapsed down if it wasn`t for Geno grabbing him. The two bros gasped and put fresh in the sofa. "what should we do?", asked error "i don`t know let`s call mom", said Geno. The boys tried to call their mom but she would not answer work time she often turned off her private phone when in work. They were hoping today wasn't one of the days she did though but after Geno come back from the hospital she turned it off most days. They didn't know what to do at all. (why i love this drama so much XD I'm so sorry Freshy) Their bro was in the sofa looking very spaced out. They then decide to check his temperature but it was normal. So he was sick but not of a cold they thought of the possibility of the thermometer being broken since when they touched him he was still boiling but that was out when they saw where it was made(you'll just stay in the dark for this one~). Something was wrong but they did not know what and they did not like that very much. They were starting to panic but they were able to compose themselves, fresh was still awake. "do you want some food?", said geno. "Kinda..", said fresh. "here", said error giving him a bow. "thanks broski", said fresh, and whispered "so you can be rad uhn." with a smile. "what", asked error confused. Geno had heard and laughed a little. Fresh still had his shades on they change to NOT-HIN while he ate. "k", said error. Fresh`s boiling state came down and now he was.. less boiling. "oh", said Geno with a gasp. "what broski?", asked fresh. He apparently could not feel himself boil. "You’re less hot now", said Geno. Fresh`s shades were now ??-?? He then fell asleep. Fresh woke up a while later and said with his usual normal happy voice "morning broskis", he then noticed he was in the couch, now looking confused. "It's not morning", said error annoyed. "you okay now fresh?" asked Geno after a long sigh. "what do ya mean?", said fresh still confused. His mom was already back and learned about what had happened to fresh she then asked too "you better?". Fresh just repeated more confused "what do ya mean?" He did not remember that morning.  "what I mean that you-", said error. Noticing Geno stopped him, he backed down. "don't you remember?", asked Geno. "remember what broski?", asked fresh still confused. "oh great he doesn`t remember good" said error more annoyed. "at least he doesn`t remember you being all worried about him error", said Geno. Error blushed softly. Fresh looked at both and in front again he was really confused now.          Some days passed, everything was back to normal with a healthy geno on it. There were still the fights, and geno still wondered about what had happened that day with fresh. Mostly it was all great and such. So they went to the day care that day it was da 1th day geno would actually go there. So today ink had come exactly at the same time as the 3 boys.They were now going in. They entered and error would remain close to ink as always or very far from other people, but now closer to geno."come on error", said geno. "Ye come on error", said ink. Fresh looked more free than the others just walking around.While in the daycare error was mostly or close to geno or to ink or the both.After a little geno went up to fresh."hey fresh what you doing",asked geno."nothin much, i'm waitin for someone", said fresh."oh you have a new friend', said geno. "new, nah friend uh- not sure they fall in that cathegory either", exclamed fresh. Then geno saw what his brother meant, it was dat girl or supposily a girl cause he or she was genderless and did not mind being called either. (Teir name was Ri just random character i added for the sake of this story when i didn't know how to move on nothing special just a extra by me), somehow fresh had 'befriend' them or maybe the opposite they had befriended him."Hey freshy", they could hear a faint voice. " Yo Ri" replied fresh, "how yah doing." "Fine and you", asked Ri with a smirk , "hello geno, your back how nice, da more reasonable *whisper*sane brother." The 3 talked until Ri had to go their 'dad' picked them up."bye, Ju(another extra i added up adding) is here". After a while their mom came to pick them up. Ink and error wondered were the 2(at least geno) had gone they said they went to talk to a friend which was partly true if you would call them a friend.Them they went home.          Few more months had passed peacefully really it was great. It was neutral, less fights still had though, a few times geno would join fresh and talk to Ri it was nice. But sometimes he wouldn`t understand her very well and sometimes there was a something in them that made it strange to be by their side like they weren't a human but they weren't a monster either but in general it was good .Error was away with their mom and it was just fresh and geno in fresh`s room. That day a suprise came to geno`s door well fresh`s door to be exact.Sans was there again he didn`t know how but he was there like last time."Oh i'm lost again", fresh and geno heard the immediately recognized the voice. "what-",fresh was confused as he heard a voice that sounded exactly like his bro.But geno knew it was sans."hey you again", sans said as he looked through the door.He then noticed where he was that colorful room he could recognaze it from anywhere.He then saw fresh next to geno.He almost let a tear out of his eye but pushed it back.But he was not able to fool fresh with this. Geno explained to fresh that sans was actually geno from the future."makes sense since he came from nowhere", said fresh."hey, mini me", sans said with his most normal voice possible."hey", answered geno. "Well I didn`t think I would see you- me again." "yeah, same here, life is full of surprises I guess", responded sans. Then the 3 heard another familiar voice, error. "geno where are you, we'll be late." "oh error is calling me, btw what day is today", said sans as he turned to the door."it's september 27, 2019"(another random date), answered fresh."one more year uhm",sans said."what", asked geno."nothing", said sans.He then huged geno out of nowhere and whispered "remember to stay happy ok, and enjoy life"."uhm" geno was confused. Then before sans went, fresh said. "So your from the future, what's future me doing have i became a slacker, leaving you unrad like that, might as well change the future if you became like that." "Huhn, I can never scape from you can i", responded sans, with a soft sad smile "your right you would be pretty unhappy if you saw me now uhm". "uhm I'm not sure, can i feel happy there", said fresh. "well that's still a mystery", said sans winking before leaving the room. The two bros did not know the meaning of those words yet. But they opened to it. "what was that?", asked geno."you asking me broski, cause I have no idea", responded fresh. "yeah I know me neither", said geno."so where were we?", asked fresh. "here, here it is",answered geno pointing at something. They were playing a board game.          Then they heard the door opened, right when they finished the game. "it`s ma", said fresh. "yeah let`s go down she might need our help", said geno. "yeah", said fresh following behind geno. "Hey ma, need help?", asked fresh coming down the stairs. CQ was caring 1 bag, than she said "no thanks boys I got it". "ks", said fresh.Than error came running in with ink. "hello ink", said geno. "hey geno", said ink. "you can came in ink", said CQ "I'm makin dinner and goind somewhere with your mom". "my mom?",said ink a bit confused. "yeah you're staying here today"you could hear a "yay" from ink. "the futons are ready so you can sleep when ever you want just make sure to get some rest okay" , said CQ walking towards the kitchen. "kay" said ink now very happy. CQ made dinner and they all ate together. Than after a while CQ and Coun went out, leaving some messages before hand " no opening doors to strangers boys", said CQ. They all just said they knew that much and she turned back another time and said "uhn but you can open the door or your friend Ri"(they're minor to the story so don't think too much about them) "uhn Ri is coming didn't hear anything"said Fresh as a answer. " their 'father' asked today, so i said yes since i know him and you know them. "Kay ma", fresh simply replied. Error was not happy with this at all he never got along with them. He then mumbled "no opening for strangers". CQ turned back one more time said "and no locking them out Error", and went to her car. "ugh", error protested revolted.          1 hour had passed since Cq and Com had gone out, the boys then heard a knock in the door. *knock knock* "who's it", asked geno. "it's suppose to be who's there you did it wrong", it was Ri no doubt. Fresh then opened the door and there they were. "hi", said Ri. The boys said "hello", back except error. Well they weren't really waiting him to either. Ri had nothing with her but 6 packets in her hand. "this is for you geno, this is for you fresh, this one for ink, this for Cq, this id for Com, and this is for..." they paused while handing the others their packets and looking at error looked at teh other 3 and then gave it to error. The boys opened the packets and there were sweets inside, each was carefully picked and dedicated to the given person even error's. "Ju insisted i bring this with me", said Ri. "now we won't get hungry and we have desert", said geno. "true", said Ri agreeing. But than ink said "what about YOURS" "uh no problem i can go months without eating or drinking anything", said Ri. "but that's bad for your health", said ink. Ri just stared at him and walked away. Ink couldn't say anything but from that stare he knew they woud be okay. "So why he get you to come here he normally leaves you home alone right", said fresh. "that's true, actually I'm not entirely sure why",said RI" he just decided this today out of the blue". "i wonder why", said geno thinking. "uh yeah, so what are you guys up to", they agreed and asked. "nothing much just watching movies, drawing, and stuff", said ink.(it was only him drawing though) "is that do what movie and let me see your drawing", said Ri. The bous put away their packets with sweets and for the rest of teh day they talked and watched movies, sometimes ink would even ask Ri about his drawing and error would stay as away from Ri as possible.          When CQ and Coun got home. The four boys were asleep, and so was Ri or that was what it looked like well they were laid in bed at least. Cq and Coun smiled at the kids and went upstairs to sleep Coun would sleep in the house too today. After a while, that the two went to sleep you could see a fading light coming from Ri they were floating and were no close to sleeping but they looked fine to the point you would think "how? why are they not tired? this is obviously unnatural" but they were fine and the light from their magic what very small so it wouldn't wake anyone up it looked like it would literally fade as it grew it grew a little and faded in a continuous loop. In the morning geno was the 1th one to notice a note in the counter it was from Ri. He read it out load and it said "bye my ride is here you're all asleep so i decided not to wake you up and instead wrote this note, no worries i'll see you all very soon. P.S don't forget your sweets" The others were awake. "great she's finally gone", said error(he used she because of their aparence) "error", said geno a bit angry with the others atitude. Error only looked away. "sweets?", said Cq. "Yeah ma Ri said their 'dad' insisted they bring it", said fresh brushing his teeth. "oh really how nice", said Cq. "they brought one for you too mom", said ink. "they did?" said Com. "yeah look she got one different for based on the person she's giving", said geno. "wow fancy", said Cq. "ha i bet her dad chose it", said error still looking away. "oh her dad might be a good person but he's not a good chooser and this is great", said Com taking another piece out of the candy.          It was just a day like any other. It was a great day actually. Everything was good until that happened.. it was the end of the end of the day it was a peaceful night, but error was sleep. The other two boys and Cq were watching a movie it was at the end when it finished fresh was going upstairs. Than suddenly error suddenly started to glitch really badly apparently he was having a nightmare. He glitched so badly it was starting to make noises, fresh was the 1th to hear them and he could hear it more than it was. Cq and geno were trying to calm error down while fresh would cover his 'ears'. (or the part of the skull a ear would be located) Having error finally calmed down but just before that frsh fell down the stairs and there was a huge thud. Error opened his eyes they were still glitching and he was now crying but he heard fresh fall down the stairs and asked what happened. Gneo ran to frsh but all fresh said was "i'm okay just fell from the noise". "noise?", sure geno had heard the glitches but they weren't enough to make a person lose their balance enough to fall down a set of stairs. For some reason error seems to cry more when he heard fresh's voice, he could kinda see now it was it was enough to know were all the people in the room were located ao he pressed in his mom so fresh and geno hopefully wouldn't be able to see his tears. "you okay bro", asked fresh as he stood up again. All error could do is grumble a "i'm fine". But then geno came closer and asked "did you have a nightmare, what's wrong, you looked like you had a terrible nightmare", said geno. "it's nothing really", said error still a bit in shock. " you sure soon you looked pretty shaken up", said Cq. "nothing", said error again pressing stronger to his mom's chest. "okay if you don't wnat to talk about iit maybe you be better talking about it tomorrow, just tell us when your ready okay", said Cq and she kissed his skull. "k, mom", said error. Dat was the last thing they heard that night.          It was the morning after error had his nightmare. Like most days he was the last to wake up, the rest were eating breakfast as it had passes about 10 minutes since frsh annoyinly woke him up. As he woke up he joined teh rest in the table to eat. Then Cq started "so...". Error imediatilly knew what was coming next so he also began. "that nightmare- in that nightmare..". he glitched a little. "error it's okay if you don't want to talk about it", said geno. Then fresh came in "yeah bro". Error shaked a little at his voice than said "no it's okay I'll tell you guys about my nightmare-" Error said stopping a little again " in my nightmare uh- f-free-sh.. he uhn... he died". They were all shocked with the last word error said did he really mean died of dying of die of death. They were all frozen maybe even error a little at having said that word, but somehow fresh looked at least calmer than the rest by a million times. "uh- i died, how..", fresh asked. "uhn- well" error started "i'm not sure what i saw was you in the ground geno grabing you while you turned to dust mom crying and yelling at someone i was just frozen there doing-nothing and you wipped a tear off of geno's face as i came closer than you said uh-" error cried a little "i forgot but it felt like something important". The rest gasped at his explanation of the scene and frsh was like "wha-". Geno remembered what sans had said to him both of the times he came.          Some days after the dream(nightmare) it had been mostly forgotten. But it ocassionally came back to geno and it would haunt him for a while. It made him worry, but for now he had ignored it so nobody would be suspicious specially fresh he was quick to catch this type of stuff. But somehow he knew for sure the nightmare error had and what sans said were no considence, he couldn't help but have a feeling that something horrible would happen sooner or later. But he was determinated to stop whatever that was as the words "maybe you'll be able to do what i failed to" stuck in his head. It had passed quite some time since sans second visit and today would be his third. Geno was alone today like the first visit, his mom and fresh had goen to the supermarket, error was at ink's , but for no apperent reason geno had decided to stay home and successfully got permison. He himself didn't know quite why he felt like staying. So that morning while he was alone in his room gues who knocked in his door. So there sans was infront if geno once again. "hey it's been a long time uhn- kid", said sans. "yeah I guess you're right", replied geno. "so what day is today", asked sans. "march 5, 2020", said geno (another random date) "Nice", said sans, "it's a great day". Then geno asked looking up at sans "you recorded in you jornal like me". "well yeah", said sans tthen he whispered "i did take a break after that though". "what are you doing today", asks geno. "uh- today i'mm with my bro", says sans. "wait 'my bro' which one, uh now i which a could see fresh and error in the future. Sans would shake a bit everytime fresh was metioned, then her finally said "im with errir today, in the town festival". "really error is there only him, usually fresh is really excited, but anyways how those error looke like now", asks geno. "same as always pretty grumpy, but i guess better than now for you probably", answers sans. "So what about fresh", asks geno. "fresh he uhn he- well he.. his the tallest as always and he is great at everything nothing changed", lied sans. He was never a good lier. "oh i always knew he would get bigger than us and smarter, i bet error is super jelous", said geno. "yeah he (would be) is", sans laughed a little hiding a tear. "but to tell you the true i can't think of a time we'd go to the town festival without fresh he's usually why error has to go", said geno. "oh yeah it took some time to convince him(it's still why he goes)", says sans "he came when i said fresh wouldn't make it ". "that sounds like error", said geno. The two talked a bit about the future/present, and how things turned out and how they were before.Than they heard error call for sans and he went away. Sometime later error, cq, n` fresh came back, but thanks to sans geno wasn`t bored even a bit.The rest of the day he passed playing games with error, and watching movies with fresh. Sans was right it was a great day. Through the day fresh`s shade seemed to change more than usual or mybe it was just that he talked with fresh more than usual. Specially one of the best days, geno would write in his journal.          Today would be another boring day, everyone was out again. Now Geno had nothing to do and he was pretty sure Sans wouldn't appear appear anytime soon. So he was alone with absolutelly nothing to do. So he dicided that since he had nothing to do he would go over his journal.Which left him thinking about the times Sans had come to him, and he knew himself all the times that sans came he had not lied to him much that he noticed at least.But last time he felt like he had missed something so he got together everything he had in sans visits,and he became more worried about fresh as according to his visits.. "it would mean- no". Months had passed and such good life was being spend. I was now September 21, 2020(random date again). Today Cq had something to do, and so did Coun. So today they had to stay in Ri's house. The boy's moms drove them there. When they got there Ri's dad received them. "please come in" the polite man said. (okay maybe not a man- but he was male so eh) He was a skeleton, Ri's monster part (they can turn into a skeleton) "thank you Silver", said Cq and Coun. "not at all there is no harm in adding 4 more kids to this house", said silver. "only you can say that silver", said Coun and she and Cq turned to the door into the car and drove off. "oh well", said Silver then he turned to the stairs and yelled "Ri come down, your friends are here". Ri came down in a second, literally. (they can teletranport) "I'm here", says Ri. "Really what did i tell you about teletransporting in the house", says Silver. "use onlt when needed, well it was needed cause i didn't want to walk down the stairs", answered Ri. "Where does this laziness come from", exclaims silver. " you know from where it does" says Ri looking at Silver.          "Yes sadly I do", says Silver with a sigh."i know you do", says Ri. Silver ignores the last thing Ri said and turns to the 4 boys "I'm sorry, now well my name is Silver, but you can call me Silv or Sil if you want".The boys look to Ri with a face saying `which one sounds better`. Ri mouths`Sil`. After that they began to get accustumeted to the house. And Sil says he'll show them where they would sleep that night. "this way", says Sil. "okay, mr.sil", says the boys. "you can leave you things there", sil said. And the boys just replied "okay". "Neato it's the first time i came to your house, says Fresh looking at Ri. "oh yeah now that you metion it thats true", says Ri.Then sil says "if its with me you can come when ever you want to"."Thank rad skele-tall"."Pfft", as Ri laughed you could kinda feel Sil staring at her after taking a climpise of Fresh. "Oh well he might be a good person but good thing I don't eat because his food is terrible, I mean need to eat but I can taste". "thanks for the warning, broski", says fresh. Then Ri went inside the house more. A little later they came back "where did those cookies come from",asked ink. "they look great",said geno."I was baking them before you guys come on wanna try", Ri replied. "liar,I bet someone made them for you",says Error "Who I don`t have neighboors and we all know it wasn't my dad" They sigh and " i really should continue that research".(the wingdings say 'continue that research') "dont",Sil says as fast as he could."okay okay come down no need to stress out if you boil too much you might melt "(get it uh uh), says Mercy. "oh my sh- no and stop making puns", says sil."then stop giving me a skele-ton of work", says Ri."really", sil gave up."here have a kitten before the dog gets them all", Ri implies giving the cat shaped cookie to the boys" "*internal screech*god", sil goes."There Is no god from where I came and for where i'm going",says Mercy. "DELICIOUS',ink says in a outbust of happiness very sudently surprising Ri. "let me see",says geno and grab a cookie "it`s heaven". "ok", fresh is next "rad flavor".Then error "its good". Everyone looks at error "i told ya so", says Ri. "so what you want to do boys", asks sil."i propose rad movie", says fresh."i humbly agree", says sil takin out some movies then asking "which one?". They played games and such keeping the movie for last. Then they took turns in the bathroom.And error is all like 'no I can't bath in a strangers house', then Ri is like '"'m not a stranger, get your lazy ass up" and forces him to bath. then they see the movie and sleep.Well the boys and sil. It was morning, Cq and Coun came to pick up the boys. They all said bye as sil waved and said come anytime, Ri was like 'ye, just don`t go in my room, okay'. They could fill their sins crawling in their backs as Ri said that.On the car all geno could think about was the day that had just passed, it was a peaceful and great rest of the day too then he though maybe it would stay like that forever just maybe.           It was finally a new day. Geno was bored as he heard a knock in the door, he asked "who is it?"."its me geno", he could hear from behind the door it was his friend sugar.He then got out off the couch and opened the door with a big smile"hey sugar"."Hey geno uhm you know that you recovered and me too, and I was wondering we haven't had much time to hang out yet like before so you wanna hang out sometime today, if your free that is",said sugar. "sure sugar just gonna ask my mom", responded geno.After he got permission he spend his day with his good friend sugar it was a great day too. And once again in a little a new dayday came. Today geno did not do much but wait for his brother fresh while watching movies with error, and ink.Today it was fresh who was out the day after geno had been with sugar hangin out that day, fresh and error had been alone in the house.It was a boring day for geno, so he decided to ask error, reinforcing the last two words "so how was yestarday no fighting RIGHT ERROR". "don't worry geno not yestarday since I passed here on time", exclaimed ink. "Is that so, good to know, I gotta say as a brother thank you ink`, says geno. It was a new day again,thought geno.He was now officially bored.So he went to play video game with his brothers, and error would glitchout all the times he lost, i mean he glitched a lot and fresh would just say "yo chill bruh"It was the same as always nothing new. Geno was still worried about teh connections with fresh he had made with his jornal to help it was Error's nightmare, sans visits, he suddently falling ill, or he hearing the glitching to be loud. ut it was okay for NOW. So geno told himself it was just another normal day and he had nothin to worry about at all. Well he was right just another boring day. Next day as normal as ever rather a good day until night. It was now THE night that triggered everything. That started the dissaster to come all started with just a simple word MONSTER.          Just a normal night as the boys were walking and a bear monster just came out of nowhere as geno ran to fresh since it was the say the family would go out and buys as many random gifts as they could for no apparent reason at all.(sorry didn't have anything else in mind but this works fine) Geno accident tripped in the large monster that appeared suddenly before him. "I'm sorry sir" Geno apologized looking at the far larger monster. "Uh look where your going brat", the monster said shoving away geno. No one seemed very happy with that. The monster was very rude doubt about it he did not seem to care. But error was definitely not happy, he was glitching in anger. And it seemed to do the same effect in fresh as it did the time he had his nightmare it was a less sad more infuriating glitch. Error took his strings out and pinned the big monster against the wall grabing his soul. The family was shocked. "Error it's okay calm down", said geno. But what he could hear was more glitched voices all he could say back was "no it;s not okay he thinks he can get out of here unharmed after doing that then he's wrong. This was it he was gonna kill the monster he would be a murder now then pass the rest of life in jail. End- lol just kidding Cq then tried to calm down error but it didn't see to work either. Then fresh came up to error and said "chillax bro". Error looked pissed but now he could here the things around him clearly then geno said "You don’t wanna get in trouble just cause a stupid monster did what he wasn`t suppose to, do you". Geno tried again to him calm down he didn`t seem very happy about what the monster did either but he wasn`t about to let his bro go to jail just cause he thought the monster deserved it. Then fresh came up, to error. Error only reacted as such "hey who do you think you are", but error stopped when he saw the hint of anger in fresh's face. From his eyes there was a purple light coming from underneath his glasses, and it wasn't very welcoming. After the monster was put down he ran and said I'll get you for this you bastards". The was the work UN-RAD in fresh's glasses, and then when they all calmed down they saw this time they didn't get many gifts.After that they all went home. Now time to sleep. Sleep people sleep.The family had a long night so after they got home all they did was get ready to see a movie night special then go directly to sleep. The entire family went to bed, and tomorrow would be a long day even longer then they thought it would.It was now officially September 27,2020. Later to be known as The Day of All Disaster. Morning.. the boys were getting ready for the Lishes big carnaval this carnaval only happened once each 5 years and it was finally back, this was fresh's favorite carnaval but also his- it was going all well until about noon, and error started nagging about having to go to the carnaval. "come'on it will be rad broski", said fresh trying to pull error. But he refused to give in "no i won't" said error irritated, "why do we even have to come to this stupid carnaval anyways" But in the end they got him to go. And there waited a suprise for the family. Kiss good-bye to tomorrow. One word MONSTER. It was the huge monster they encountered that was almost killed by error if it wasn't for fresh. "brats", said the big monster.But he got interrupted by fresh "pf didn't your mother teach you manner bro cause yu spitting on me.(hoho YO GET DUNKED ON he deserved that) The monster definetly did not take this well, and he pinned fresh against the wall. 'You cocky brat, don't think you'll get out of here this time" "uh what's wrong mister i can't seem to hear you who was the one that left crying yesterday", said fresh he seemed pissed. He was Threating a person that fresh. The family was suprised by fresh's words.Words that might have not seem strange if they were error'sbut fresh he seemed upset and it looked like he was ready to kill anytime.

         As the monster continued to pin him against the wall he scaped rather easily actually it seemed like he had done it a dozen of times before.He reacted in his own and put the big monster away from him and his family with that it was clear that fresh was stronger than the big monster.But the monster was not very happy he tried to fight fresh and attacked him.The family gasped and Cq went to call the police as fast as she could.Fresh seemed rather calm but you could see he was very unpleased with the monster`s unradness.He really wasn`t the type to tolarate people like that, he took his shades off to reveal his bland and souless eyes which were now lighten up with a purple light around them.Fresh looked like a image of a rainbow fire. Yoi really wouldn`t want to be that monster right now.The monster panicked after seeing fresh`s eyes as he looked just ready to kill him.The monster acted without thinking and accidently hit fresh right in his soul as Cq come back with the police.The monster noticing his mistake fell in the ground away from the family."fresh, fresh",said geno as he grabed fresh"uhm- bro",said fresh.Cq and error were stone.Then error came back to his senses and said"dont worry fresh we`ll call the ambulance", he was glitching a bit and you could almost see a real tear falling from his eye but as if it went back in. But it was too late fresh was becaming dust. "Wait no, don't go fresh", geno said now cryin, and he quickily pulled fresh`s shirt up to see there a very small yet delicate and almost invisible soul it was like it was there just to keep i'm alive, and did not feel much or do anything more then support his physical form but it was fading.It was a bright purple soul but it was now shattered into what seemed like 1 million pieces.Cq had now located the monster and started yelling at him the police had to keep her away from the man before she went to jail together with him.It was a tragedy, than Coun and ink came to check because the family was late and all the noise that was going on there.Coun trying to stop Cq from the monster, and ink error.But at this point I had say he deserves it and hard. Like fuck you man, go die in a hole. Cq was crying and yellin at the monster, Geno was grabbing Fresh and holdin him up, and Error was frozen not being able to do anything at all, he came closer to Fresh, Fresh wiped away a tear away from Geno`s face and said "whats wrong mah bros, you why are you so sad unrad facial expresion, I even thought ypu were so rad that day Error you cant just stop now, don`t lose your smile 'kays*cough*".It was like they were watching error's nightmare only now it was for real, fresh wouldn`t be there the next morning standin in front of them, saying its 'chill bruh'.Fresh had turned to dust."i'm sorry it was my fault if I didn't bring his attention this would have never have happened", said error standing in front of the pile where now rested Fresh's dust.          It was the day of the nightmare. Fresh had died the family was broken but it was fresh who died he sure wouldn`t be pleased if he saw his family now.So they were able to move on and have good lives. But they would never forget FRESH. In geno's journal September 27,2020 was blank with only the word NIGHTMARE on it.For a few years geno had stopped to write in his journal but after the first Lishes carnival since fresh had died, the day he had died he began to write again.As the years passed he was able to put the puzzles together about sans now every thing made sense and soon he would see himself "you'll be better than ok", but he added something the others were never able to"save him save him please and remember the day September 21,2020 the best day of ur life, but save him pay attention and don't bumb in the big MONSTER".It was true everything about this was true he just hoped this little geno would remember. Later he came back to his journal and without erasing the big nightmare he wrote the details of the day, and cried as he saw his good life. His real encoragement was not sans it was fresh, it had been since day one.

The Six Core Processes of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and How They Improve Physical Therapy Outcomes

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) is rooted in psychological flexibility, which is the ability to contact the present moment more fully as a conscious human being, and to change or persist in behavior when doing so serves valued ends. Psychological flexibility can be broken down into the 6 core processes of ACT. These processes can be utilized by physical therapists in treating patients with chronic pain and to promote positive behavior change. Doing so can increase a patient’s function and allow them to return to living their life in a meaningful way.

VALUES

Values should be established early in treatment, as they will help to guide future care and goal setting.  Physical therapists are very familiar with creating goals for their patients, so it is important to note that values are not the same as goals. Goals are in the future; they have an end date. On the other hand, values are in the present and never have an ending. While they are two separate entities, a patient’s personally held values can be utilized to develop goals that bring them closer to that value. For example, “Pt will be able to lift 20lbs with proper biomechanics” could be a goal for a patient who is a parent and values spending time with their young children and wants to be able to lift them. Values can fall into one of ten domains, including:

1.Family 2. Health 3. Community 4. Social connections 5. Leisure 6. Parenting 7. Marriage/partner/intimacy 8. Work/education 9. Spirituality 10. Professional development. 

Values are crucial because they help to increase compliance in terms of health-related behavior (1,2). They will also help to guide committed action, which will be discussed later.

COGNITIVE DEFUSION

Defusion is a term unique to ACT and is the ability to observe one’s thoughts from an alternative perspective rather than getting caught up in them. The goal of defusion is to change the influence of verbal events on behavioral processes (3), specifically to lessen their negative impact. Defusion is beneficial when patients seem to be stuck within their own thoughts, rather than attempting to look at them from another perspective. Patients with chronic pain may have thoughts such as “I can’t do that because of my bad back”, which can easily lead to a downward spiral of continued suffering and missing out on activities they enjoy and value. One simple way of practicing defusion is simply to encourage patients to notice their thoughts and acknowledge that they are just that; thoughts. They are not necessarily true and may even sound silly when a patient says them out loud.

ACCEPTANCE

Acceptance allows patients to increase their willingness and experience unpleasant sensations and (possibility) pain, instead of constantly trying to avoid it. For example, a patient with chronic low back pain may have anxiety about potential pain when performing certain movements. There is nothing wrong with this feeling or these thoughts but avoiding all movements as a result can have negative impacts on a patient’s quality of life and cause them to miss out on things they value. Using cognitive defusion techniques, a patient should recognize that they are having these thoughts and that they are normal, but it should not cause them to avoid participation in activities that are important to them. Acceptance includes allowing unpleasant emotions, sensations, and experiences to occur, which has been shown to increase task persistence (4). To put it simply, patients should be encouraged to allow unpleasant sensations to be present if it allows them to move closer to their established personal values. Let it be.

PRESENT MOMENT AWARENESS

Mindfulness is a key component of ACT and helps to bring about present moment awareness. This allows a patient to focus on the “here and now” while noticing their thoughts as well as their surroundings. It frees someone from constantly ruminating on the past or potential future and centers their focus on the present. Most patients with chronic pain will likely have a history of prior experiences relating to their back pain in addition to possible fear and anxiety about what the future may hold in terms of their condition. Patients with chronic pain have likely been through a lot; including differing opinions from healthcare professionals, medications, prior physical therapy treatment, imaging, injections, surgeries, and many more. Using short mindfulness ACT techniques to bring them to the present can help promote acceptance and awareness of experiences.

SELF AS CONTEXT

Closely related to present moment awareness is self as context, which allows an individual to access their “observer self”. This process is best explored following several sessions on defusion, acceptance, and present moment awareness. Once a patient has experience noticing their own thoughts and sensations, self as context allows them to notice that there is a part of themselves that does the noticing. In doing so they become less attached to their conceptualized self, which in turn allows them to choose actions that are in line with their values. Emotions, thoughts, and sensations no longer control actions, rather the patient uses values to guide their actions.

COMMITTED ACTION

In order to achieve behavior change, a patient must take committed actions that bring them closer to their personally established values. Committed action helps to expand a patient’s values into larger and larger patterns of activity (3). By embracing the previously mentioned core processes, patients are able to move towards their values even if pain or fear is “along for the ride”. This allows patients to participate in activities that are meaningful to them instead of missing out. This can help increase a patient’s quality of life, even though pain may still be present. This is where goal writing in ACT can come into play and reflect back onto the patient’s values.

Shelby McClure is a third year Doctorate of Physical Therapy student at Augusta University in Augusta, Georgia and will be graduating in May of 2020. She completed her undergraduate education at Auburn University in Alabama where she earned a B.S. in Fitness, Conditioning, and Performance in addition to a B.S. in Nutrition and Wellness.

Shelby began dancing at a young age which helped to shape her initial interest in health. During college, she worked as a dance instructor as well as a group fitness instructor, which eventually led her to pursue a career in physical therapy. 

Throughout her time at Augusta University and subsequent clinical rotations, Shelby realized her passion for pain science and psychologically informed physical therapy. Shelby is currently completing a 4-week elective with the Integrative Pain Science Institute prior to her graduation.
