lmao I guess I should clarify, I haven't actually been talking about my job much this last year, and it's because i actually like the company i work for and I don't want hypothetical enemies or real coworkers to connect the dots between this blog and my boss's email to tell them about the completely joking legally required to say this is a joke posts I make on here about slacking off

but basically i edit legal text for my day job. its a lot of really boring tedious legal jargon about laws and rules and fines and its the most fulfilling job i've ever had (but im still young, so). when i was prepping for my interview i made a note to say that i freelance as a game editor, and games are basically just rules too so while the tone is different it's basically the same kind of work, and now that i'm doing it professionally i can say that it really is. a game is just a law you can choose to obey for fun and a law is just a game you're forced to play, and if you cheat they can put you in jail

#i dont think that anyone is like. disappointed not to know what my job is #i also. specifically have not been talking about slacking off as much as i COULD be lmao #if they paid me twice as much as i'm getting paid now i would be the happiest worker bee set for life #im not even getting paid awful just. entry level. during a housing crisis

the assistant director who was always annoyed at me for being late for work and getting back from my breaks just got fired for time theft

#lol. lmao even #the guy would apparently fuck around on his phone for hours before leaving #just letting my manager do his work for him. despite the fact she's still training to be a director #and would ALWAYS leave an hour or two early and change his time punch later #and a couple of months ago i know he got told off for never punching IN #like he was supposed to be at the store at 8 if not earlier #and he'd walk in at 9 and not punch and still get paid those hours #i might be consistently ten minutes to my shift every goddamn day #but hey! i dont get paid for that time missed and my ass do be working when im there #im actually not supposed to know all this #my manager was very firm with giving us the 'they got thanked for their work and were let go' line #and then i asked a co-worker who's more buddy buddy with the higher ups and likes bitching and i think considers me a friend #and he just straight up told me no hesitation #amazing

I have dreams all the time where I'm sad when I wake up but last night I dreamt that I told a joke so funny that random strangers were just straight up sending me money. my best friend's mom sent me $1000 with the caption "haha!"
