OMGGGGGGGG Thanks for tagging me @divinityiswasted!!!!!!!!! This has been sitting in my drafts for ages, but I just remembered it and thought I'd finish it up!
Tumblr media
Who are they?
This is Artemisia! (Artie to her friends) She was a dopey hedge witch who got picked up by the magisters because she was too oblivious to the current political climate to know that maybe she shouldn't do source magic in public. She's now the de facto leader of the Riot Girls, a strictly ladies-only team consisting of herself, Lohse, and Sebille (later expanded to include hired-muscle-turned-bestie Yastara). She's smart but a massive herbo, and she's none too sure about this divinity stuff people keep bugging her about.
What is their damage?
Her experience at Fort Joy fully radicalized her, and she doesn't trust anyone in a position of power further than she can teleport them. Which is all well and good, but her whiplash journey from the terrifying powerlessness of her Fort Joy stint to the overwhelming power of godwoken-hood has left her with a lot of anger and a lot of fun ways to vent it on the world.
Are there any differences between their in-game model and how you imagine them?
I know elves are canonically telephone poles in this world, but I like to imagine Artie is on the shorter side, at least compared to her fellow elves.
What is their fighting style?
Pyro/necromancer who also knows how to hit stuff real good. Her go-to strategy is to bring in her faithful bone widow (Spiderella) early in the fight, then start chucking fireballs.
Who do they love and why?
Artie didn't stand a chance the moment Sebille put that needle to her throat. She'd go to the absolute ends of the earth for Sebille, and if Seb wants to go on the occasional murder spree, Artie's certainly not going to judge and she's probably going to help out. The more Sebille finds that her darker side isn't going to scare Artie off, the more she feels able to let her softer side show.
DOS2 fandom, show me your Godwoken? Tell me about your Godwoken? (For example:) Who are they? What is their damage? What do they look like? Are there any differences between their in-game model and how you imagine them? What is their fighting style? Who do they love and why? Anything else you'd like to share about them?
Everyone who sees this post, consider yourself invited. And feel free to tag your friends if you'd like.
@flower-khajiit, @divinityiswasted
Just do it. This is a threat.

Venom 3: There should have been a wedding
Fun movie! Terrible end of a trilogy.
We needed a wedding.
First order of business: You don't introduce a new Big Bad in the final installment of a trilogy. (Yeah, it's undoubtedly a call to an upcoming project). The first two movies both had the same villains: humans and symbiotes. We had The Life Foundation and Riot, and then Kassidy and Carnage.
Instead of Knull being the BBEG, have (one of) the main antagonists be the American government/military, as they were. Between the rocket and the church, there is no way they don't know about symbiotes and that Eddie Brock has one. Frame him for a murder, now you can hunt him down without anyone mentioning aliens. The public is on the lookout, you have access to police and cameras, etc.
The other main threat is the symbiotes. I like the codex thing, keep it. Instead of calling the woodchipper cats void hunters, have it call the symbiote hivemind. Make it a nice big notification: "Look at us! Look at this big planet full of good hosts and food, come join in!" Every time Eddie and Venom form together, it resets the "beacon" so the symbiotes know where to come. Some have already found their way to Earth.
Second order of business: Anne. We don't get a conclusion for that storyline. In the first movie, she and Eddie are engaged. He spends the rest of the movie pining for her. In the second, Anne is engaged to Dan and that announcement is a big event trigger. BUT Eddie, over the course of the movie, realizes Anne has completely moved on and he can start to do the same. He learns to appreciate Venom.
Now, in the final movie, Eddie should be able to completely move on as well. Whether he's in love with Venom or not, he is over Anne and has replaced her in his heart with Venom. He'll have come to a natural end of that storyline. And what better way to symbolize it?
A wedding! Have the reason everyone is in Vegas be for Anne and Dan's wedding. That's why Eddie goes with the family, that's why he wants into the casino - because his ex-fiance and his somewhat-friend are there and he needs help since he's on the run.
The dancing scene with Mrs Chen is fun and all, but it doesn't belong in the main movie as it is. Either have that be the time Venom realizes what's going on, or save the scene for an after-credits special. The whole wedding could be a montage in the credits: Venom dancing with Mrs Chen, Eddie literally and symbolically letting Anne go by walking her down the aisle, drunk shenanigans, etc.
Have the incredible security of a casino be the thing that catches 51's eye and the reason they get captured.
Third order: Eddie. I get it, he's tired, but he seemed out of character. Without going too far into things, just have him a little less bitchy with Venom, a little more into the partners/Lethal Protector thing (like in the dog scene). Have him at least try to get back to Venom when they separate. He just spent the whole last movie learning he's better with Venom than without him, there's no way a single line is going to cover all that when we just watched (how long is the movie?) an hour and a half of Eddie showing us otherwise.
...
I have a lot of thoughts and a hard time verbalizing them but this is the gist. I hope to do a summary of what the movie would look like if I changed the above points. We'll see.
OH! And, please, I needed the line "One last dance, buddy" from Eddie as they face off against a small army of symbiotes, ready to give their lives to save each other/their weird little family/the planet.

Comments on Arcane s02 e1-3
-As someone who is still dealing with the loss of my father, I can guarantee that this type of pain is something else and it truly changes you. Caitlyn lost her mother in an act of violence, terrorism, so of course she will be full of anger and urging for revenge. And also, of course she also felt guilty about it, like she said to her dad, she had the shot on Jinx but didn't shoot.
I've seen people commenting as if Caitlyn had volunteered to be Ambessa second hand and now that I've seen I'm like ? Bruh did y'all didn't see the masterful power and pressure move Ambessa thrown on Caitlyn? After that speech, there was no way she could say "no", those people would eat her alive and she would possibly be treated as a traitor, especially because of her proximity with Vi
-And I KNEW Ambessa was behind it all
-"I'm the one that created that monster" no Vi, you didn't 🥺. See? That's exactly when Jinx loses me. She doesn't take accountability for her actions and blames Vi for it.
"but she is traumatized" grl tell me one one character in that show who ain't?
Okay, let me say something serious. Being traumatized, doesn't give you the right to hurt others. Assholes can be traumatized too, and I'm saying this because I've already seen people hide behind their mental illness and trauma just so they could hurt others and not be held accountable for that.
Jinx asking if Caitlyn and Vi had sex before the fight began, was brutal lmao
-We got the CaiVi kiss but at what cost??? 😭
I think what made Caitlyn snap was being compared to Jinx
-If something happens with Maddie, I will kill everybody in the show and myself. What an sweetheart. In fact, I like all of CaitVi squad
Something I can't say about that kid who follows Jinx. I'm sorry but I couldn't care less about that child.
-And the assholes attack again, and guess who will suffer the consequences?? In my comments on s1 I talked about the need to know how to pick the battles we fight. And Silco's gang just reunited the stronger enemy against them, and the people of Piltover won't care about any more ruthless or aggressive response against Zaun. Now more than ever, they think of them as vile monsters who need to be put down.
What Jinx and Silco started will just result in the death of more innocents, especially the people of Zaun.
-Gotta say, watching Sevika be all "we don't hand over our people" speech, the same of she took as a weakness when Vander spoke.... character development.
Viktor basically became Jesus. I'm sorry but that scene when he wakes up and was like "peace off bruh ✌️" to Jayce, and leaves him...it was so not funny but still made me laugh
-wtf is happening with the Hex? Also, yeah, now I get why Riot almost went broke after making this

i think we need to understand the gravity of how quickly Percy blames himself and his disabilities for the way his world is. how he's been made to believe over years and years that he's weird, that there's something wrong with him. Percy saying he should've been paying attention. Percy saying there's something wrong with his brain. Percy calling himself broken.. he's just a kid man

you know what we need for benedict's season is genuine yearning pining longing unable to touch forbidden scandalous not only on a societal level but on a class level romance vibes. i need that man to not be able to LOOK at sophie in case the wrong people see. i want him utterly unable to speak to her or interact with her in any meaningful way because the slightest wrong move might ruin her entirely. benedict is the least repressed bridgerton sibling by a long chalk, and i want him to Suffer bc his usual method of immediately hooking up with any person he finds even mildly attractive is completely off the table in this scenario. i want him to have to fight himself every moment to keep his distance i want him to be in abject agony i want him to truly Yearn hopelessly!! they need to not touch for like at least six episodes and when they finally do i need benedict to immediately pass out

Love Dungeon Meshi but utterly unimpressed by the lesbian themes until I see these bitches mouth-to-mouth kissing on purpose in a HOMOSEXUAL MANNER
Absolutely no props or honor for queer-baiting me in the year 2024.
I don't deserve to scrabble for crumbs, I deserve a FEAST!! - Senshi said so!!! I'm a growing dyke who needs a nutritious goddamn meal from my yuri!!!
That said, if it does end up being canonically gay, I'm rewatching the whole show 100 times and getting a tattoo about how much I like Dungeon Meshi

How’s about another round of headcanons? This time Emily and/or Sir Pentious?
color me curious, I haven't had too many thoughts about them. I really ought to draw them at some point. one thing at a time.
Emily:
Don't let her cuddly demeanor fool you, as a Seraphim, Emily is technically in the same power category as Lucifer and Sera... she's just never had to use that power for violence and hopes she never has to. She honestly wouldn't know what to do in a fight anyway. Still, she is fully capable of feats such as using magic to bless items, create entire structures out of thin air, appear in multiple places at once and all other kinds of miracles. makes her really, really good at managing all her responsibilities and the many needs of the mortals of Heaven.
Much like the Exorcists, Emily is an angel with an innate purpose given to her upon her creation. God created her to care for the mortal souls and keep them happy, a task she takes to with great gusto. Naturally cheerful and deeply empathetic, she is also a lot smarter than her goofy nature might imply. To help her better understand mortals, she is very easily able to take in and understand information. She knows just about every single language spoken in Heaven, knows the ways and customs of dozens of cultures, and can pick up a base understanding of any topic with minimal study as it helps her relate to the unique interests of the many souls she works with.
she very much laments her ignorance of the suffering of Sinners, she always knew that Hell was not a happy place but... it was where bad people went and she's known enough good people who were hurt by bad people to understand that punishment isn't an unreasonable idea... but hundreds of years of genocide? Nobody deserves that! Especially now that they can be redeemed.
Emily did... not enjoy her trip to Hell. The Hotel was nice and Charlie's friends were great but god, its so messy and there is puke and blood everywhere and she is definitely traumatized by what she saw happen to Lute. If she ever goes back, she will probably stay in the Embassy this time, no offense... Hell is Hellish.
Aside from having to work through stacks of official name change requests, Emily is surprisingly having a pretty good time working with the Exorcists. There was something of an adjustment period but the Exorcists have really taken to their new jobs and Glory has been a big help. Emily has found that once you get past their violent tendencies, a lot of the Exorcists are really nice and have been pretty welcoming. Still, she really ought to get around to finding them a new commander... but she has been pretty busy, it can probably wait a bit longer.
Emily has never dated, but she is ... curious. she's seen mortals falling in love again and again across lifetimes and thinks its one of the most beautiful things in creation. unfortunately, most of the Heavenly court either still thinks of her as a child or is too afraid of Sera to approach Emily with romantic intent. She has considered trying to flirt with mortals but fears it would become a conflict of interest with her purpose. Maybe she will get lucky and get swept off her feet by some brave guy... or girl.
Sir Pentious
I have touched on Sir Pentious being a war profiteer in life. He created and supplies many weapons to England and her allies throughout his life. While he never saw battle, he was often asked to consult on various battle plans and strategies which is how he developed the tactical skill for giving orders in combat that he display in the finale. Sir Pentious, Vaggie, and Alastor were the primary contributors to the battle plan.
As a surprise to both himself and Emily, Sir Pentious has retained his 'offensive' abilities despite his transition to Heaven, namely his poisonous bite and talent for light hypnosis. Emily is still rather new to the idea of even needing offensive abilities and has never really given thought to if other mortal souls in Heaven even have the same kinds of powers that sinners do. Food for thought.
One of his greatest regrets in life was that he was desperately lonely. He had few friends and only a few fleeting attempts at romantic engagements. He was often too focused on his work to give his attention to those around him and it drove people away, but being lonely only made him dive deeper into his work. Making his Egg Bois was merely a desperate attempt to alleviate his isolation but they never filled the void of true companionship. (he still cared about them, but more like pets than people, they are soulless afterall). this was why he was happy to put his life on the line and died without regrets, because his time at the hotel gave him the sense of companionship and community he craved all his life.
He isn't particularly... proud of this but his romantic interest in Cherri Bomb actually started because he was spying on her. He had thought her yet another ruffian trying to steal the territory he had claimed, until he used one of his spy machines and witnessed Cherri's habit of (surprisingly competently) re-engineering pieces of his broken tech and using it to design her own weapons. in the early days he would even occasionally drop pieces of equip he knew she would be able to make good use of to further observe her technical skill. what started as a mild fascination quickly turned to admiration and eventually adoration, not that he knew how to express that. He rather looked forward to their fights and banter, even if it often left him with bruises.
before anyone of you degenerate scoundrels think of anything untowards, he absolutely never used his spying equipment for lewd purposes. Sir Pentious is the definition of a gentleman and would never dare to do such a thing.

He doesn’t want me for my beauty, he doesn’t want me for my intelligence... Is there anything else I have?? ... No, that’s right. I’m ignorant and poor. And you wouldn’t believe he was just being kind to me, would you? Unchained Love (2022), ep. 2

I am actually impressed with the direction the show has taken in regard's to semi's feelings. From the comments I saw on tiktok, before watching the show, I thought she'd take one look at her high school crush and abandon her husband, but no.
Instead, she's spending time with him to save her husband, to see her husband, to protect him. She barely batted an eyelash when she saw gicheol for the first time. He was the one who was affected while she was busy just standing there.
As sad as I know I will be for him, knowing that he's falling in love with her again, and beginning to trust her husband, I can't help but be happy that the show hasn't made her out to be a confused woman who has suddenly forgotten her husband because of a decade old kiss.

Lofty of BBC's Holby City was maybe one of the worst characters on the show. Is this a hot take? Do people outside of me and my family somehow adore Lofty? I can't imagine how. Here is my hateful mean and nasty reasoning. Read at your own risk I'm not accepting criticism at this time lmao:
A) he was effective comic relief on Casualty because it's the Emergency Department and moments of Lofty tripping over or doing a social faux pas are necessary tension breakers in episodes where people are constantly at deaths door.
Casualty is (when it's GOOD) required to have at least a third of the episode dedicated to a narsty horrible accident (hell yeah) and tensions are always running high so you can see how having someone a be awkward is not going to be the worst thing that happened to them that day.
Holby City is a more hospital staff focused show (although again. If there's less than a third of an episode focused on patients it is probably a bad episode. PLEASE HAVE PATIENTS IN YOUR HOSPITAL SHOW.) but there's a lot of waiting around for people in Holby because it's the longer term care zone. If Lofty is dropping stuff in the background of scenes with this lower energy it suggests he has some sort of untreated disability rather than 'argh I'm frantic OOPS'. He is painted more as incompetent on Holby compared to their more grounded staff. Which makes everyone ELSE look incompetent for putting up with it. (To be clear!!!! I'm not saying people with disabilities are incompetent lol if he had one it would have been a storyline!! And if he had one and none of the doctors who see him every day flagged it it also makes them look incompetent. He doesn't CARE enough to be CAREful. And in a show ABOUT caring for vulnerable people as far as you absolutely can. That's a big problem.)
Like the thing is. Characters on Casualty can be one note architypes forever because they're doing medical CSI. Holby spends so much more time with the cast, they NEED to become more complicated and Lofty never does, he's the same guy no matter what happens. The only other guy like that in Holby is the incomparable Guy Self and he's a villain! He is a villain for never changing or trying for anyone! And even he TRIES to reform occasionally. Lofty (and the SHOW) doesn't see a problem with him perpetually disengaging from making emotional choices, putting most of the work of maintaining relationships on other people, and generally coasting through a profession that everyone else is giving 110% to. The building could be on fire and he'd wander outside and not think to rescue any of the patients unless someone else told him to.
B) the B is for Bisexual. Bisexual representation on Holby City where he cheats on his husband with a woman. It's a yikes from me.
C) speaking of Dom. God their relationship was horrible. POOR FUCKING DOM. tw abuse. Lofty talks to and believes Dom's abusive ex over him? He hugs the guy that RECENTLY pushed Dom down a flight of stairs? And they're still supposed to be a cutesy couple by the end of this? He shuts down Dom's excitement constantly? Hello??
D) the D is again for Dom because. It's their one year anniversary. By the way it was on their honeymoon that Dom couldn't go on to support his sick mother that Lofty cheated on Dom. Just by the way. BY THE WAY if your husband says he's going to stay home for your honeymoon and insists you go by yourself so he can stay home to support his sick mother. Maybe. Hm. Stay and support him instead. Just a fucking thought.
Lofty decides it's not working and they amicably split up (Dom is an angel sent from gay heaven by the way. I perhaps have my biases.) Dom kindly gives him the quirky and personal gift he'd bought him for their one year wedding anniversary as Lofty unicycles away (it may have been a bicycle but I picture it as a unicycle). Lofty gives him. Nothing. Which means that this man sat there as they planned a big anniversary party and not ONCE. not ONCE did he consider buying Dom an anniversary present. Because he's an arse!!!!
E) he only does this :| or this :/ for any emotion. I love characters with flat affects, for example my close personal friends Hannah Supernatural, Abed Community, and also as well my actual real human friends who do this 💖💖💖. HOWEVER. Lofty doesn't show emotion any OTHER way either. There IS nothing going on in his heart. He has passion for nothing. He goes where other people point. He avoids giving his opinion because he doesn't have any. This makes him a bad tv character for a drama. Opinion IS story on Holby. There is an issue, they all take sides and fight over it, and he doesn't get involved.
Anyway. Show's been over for over a year I will never have to see Lofty's face ever again as long as I live unless I for some reason decide to do a bizarre Holby City Rewatch and keep going to season 19.
By the way as I was looking up when he came to the Holby side of Holby City Hospital, I found this quote from his wiki page:
"Lofty is portrayed as a nice person who is likeable and popular."
Hm. He IS PORTRAYED as a nice person. The show thinks he's a nice person who is likable. However.
This concludes my ministry of hate.
