Someone asked me earlier this week a question that I didn't really deeped about beforehand. Basically, I was stuck answering it and it boggled my mind ever since because it stuck to me how I didn't think about this earlier on?

"What are your career goals?"

Since I started learning programming and Web Development back in 2020, I just thought "Oh getting a proper job in Tech would be great!"... but now I got it, it's like okay what now? Do I just continue this, learn new things, and just stick to this position?

I had to answer this person straight away for specific reasons but I said "Maybe being a Senior Software Engineer would be nice 🤷🏾‍♀️" and yeah I'm sure having that title would be great for my Dad to boast to his family and mates about "Oh my daughter is a Senior Software Engineer~! 😎", which honestly I don't mind as he's happy, but what else? What do I actually want to work towards now - short and long-term?

But making short and long-term goals is very important. For some people, this helps them have a path for them to work towards. I am one of those people because that's what I did to get where I am now in my programming journey, but I didn't think THIS far as to what next after I got the job I wanted. I came up with some ideas but I might work on them a bit:

Senior Software Engineer be nice?

Whatever a CTO actually does? (long-term)

Be proficient enough in Web Development technologies to teach others properly maybe? Especially the younger generation (HELP I tried teaching my sister coding and she called me a nerd...)

Work on my own web app product thingy?? and sell?? and earn money?? (confused about how I would do that though)

Venture out to Game / App Development maybe? (long-term)

Ability to work anywhere internationally (I have other goals where I would have to visit countries so would also like to work in Tech as I complete those side-quests)

Right now I am comfortable working FOR someone / company - I'm the type that SOMEHOW I become a CEO I still would work than be a no work/meetings/travel to conferences type of CEO if that makes sense

Help other companies temporarily on Web Dev stuff (free or paid, I don't mind - just want experience, innit?)

Work in another country maybe? That doesn't speak English though cause that's cheating (to me, I like challenges and language learning is a really good one)

But maybe now I will have something to work towards, but I will soon convert this bunch of ideas to a roadmap a bit~! 🤔

They're canonically co-dependent, Kitsunami wants to be with Surge forever, same trauma, they're talked about sticking it to the world and paving their own road together, they're toxic and yet surprisingly soft about each other, they're partners, they need each other, etc etc I love them. With every new issue that comes out it's just made abundantly clear to me that (like Sonic and Tails) this is the strongest relationship they will have with anyone. They are not to be separated. They've grown together. They were quite literally made for each other y'all like what's not to get obsessed over?

"Deranged" M-Me? Deranged about Surge and Kit? What? Nooooo... *very obviously hides my large essay series in my drafts dissecting their characters and relationship in comic canon*

"I just want them to be happy, is that too much to ask?!" Please universe if I could just ask for one thing. Please. Allow them to take the third path they desired so long ago, to reject being forced into being heroes or villains (good or bad) and just be allowed to adventure together and be partners forever, doing that which makes them happy💖 They deserve what Sonic/Tails and Mighty/Ray have, and also to get to be in the morally grey area that Team Dark gets to be in

"I ship them platonically" Ahshsjs I know I'm gonna sound like a broken record at this rate but my ideal Kiturge dynamic is queerplatonic also. Like Sonic, I see Surge on the aroace spectrum, as someone who doesn't feel romantic/sexual attraction in a usual manner and doesn't particularly desire/care about romance. Her and Drippy would never do something like kiss or ask each other out or any classic way to begin a relationship. They'd just be together for so long that they'd naturally start to blur the lines in their relationship, and so they'd enter a stage of "not dating but also not not dating so secret third thing". They'd be able to trust each other more than anyone else, they'd feel safe experimenting witb each other. They could french kiss simply because Surge randomly decided she wanted to try one, and decided Kit was the best option of experimentation. As for Kit himself, I think of him a bit more like Nine, someone who's also on the aroace spectrum and doesn't fully know what love is, but is a bit bewildered by potentially experiencing romantic/sexual feelings for the first time. He gets jealous of others that gets close to Surge, he wants to be useful to her, he wants to be praised by her, he wants to be her partner forever. He could give less of a shit whether Surge has platonic or romantic or any other feelings about him as long as it still means that she wants him around and looks at no one else

"They keep me up at night" Listen I have not been okay about them since I watched the Sonic 06 cutscenes. I often think about what was and what could have been and what could be

"I ship them because of canon" Okay, so I believe I've told this story before, so I'll try to be brief. But I wasn't expecting to ship them when I got into 06. Based on fandom jokes and talk about the game these days, I assumed I would end up being really into M3philver (which I am, but in this case I mean like. Otp level for Mephiles ships), and then I'd be into Mephadow the same way I'm into Inf1nad0w and other ships of the like (which is to say, I thought it would be a hate ship basically). And then Mephiles’s intense festering desire for revenge turned into desire in the span of like. What. Five minutes? Mephiles was all "Oh you don't remember me? Well I remember you. What awaits you is oblivion!" and then after like 5 minutes he switches gears to trying to convince Shadow to give up on the world and join him. He wanted Shadow the Hedgehog so badly it made him look stupid, and even Shadow was interested in him for a minute there? Yeah that's what did me in canon wise. Mephiles getting fixated on Shadow and wanting him to join him with the addition of Mephiles' disappointment over Shadow refusing to join him.

"Deranged" Listen, I'm deranged about Mephiles and deducing what's going on with him to begin with, and him becoming interested in Shadow in 06 the way he does is a part of that

"I just want them to be happy, is that too much to ask?!" In this case, I like to imagine two scenarios. One (which I wouldn't want in canon) where Shadow joins Mephiles and they burn everything down together but also like are lowkey married/partners about it. The second one (which I wouldn't mind in canon) is a scenario in which Mephiles does manage to claw his way into the new timeline, but he ends up being stuck staying under the radar and living among the common people so long that he starts to become a bit more attached and a bit less keen to fulfill his deep down desire to burn it all. Then he and Shadow cross paths again and they (who in this scenario find the other interesting) eventually form a closer relationship. Dunno if that makes any sense. After much deliberation, I think I'd love to see Rook with "I Won't Say I'm in Love" from Hercules. It started me on a brainstorming spiral. And! The little bit at the end where Megara holds the nile flower to her chest? Imagine Yuu doing that with Rook's hat. I just really like the idea, that out of all the possible options, they fall for that guy.

It could be fun if instead of the muses it's the ghosts of ramshackle, and instead of falling onto a statue, Yuu falls into the arms of a ghost that looks like Rook. Yuu doesn't know how to process these feelings and the ghosts are being menaces.

So when I first saw this ask, I was like "I got this 😎" Famous last words right there lol. I did enjoy messing with Yuu/MC tho. I hope you enjoy it, anon!

"Ah!" Yuu jumped and dropped the item in her hands. She frantically looked around the Ramshackle lounge. Her eyes landed on Grim, who was jumping on the other side of the couch. "Yes, Grim?"

Grim crawled up on Yuu's lap, "I'm hungry! Feed me some tuna."

"Oh, I am. I'm sorry, Grim. Let me get you your tuna for dinner," Yuu stood up, grabbed the big purple hat, and walked towards the kitchen with Grim following behind to sit down. 

"You had a starry look in your eyes when you were staring at that hat. Were you thinking about Rook again?" 

"NO!" Yuu exclaimed while placing the hat on the dining table. She opened the pantry and grabbed a can, "Why would I be thinking about him anyway? He is weird, mysterious, and a bit creepy."

Grim put his paws on his hips, "Mhm, sounds like your type."

Yuu almost dropped the opened can of tuna, "Grim! Eat your tuna!" She shoved the can into Grim's paws. He barely had enough time to catch it.  

"Hey, this is premium tuna! Besides, what I said was true."

Yuu rolled her eyes and approached the refrigerator to hide her blush, "I only see Rook as a friend. We are just friends."

"I don't know. You don't sound happy saying that," Grim stopped eating his food to stare at Yuu, "You two have gotten pretty cozy after the Island of Woe incident. I would say a bit too close to be just friends."

"It's not like he is on my mind all the time, or I think about his laugh or the way his hair flows just right in the wind, or how eccentric he sounds when he speaks French…." Yuu sighed, grabbed a random container, and kicked the fridge closed. She headed towards the microwave to warm up her food. 

Curse Grim for putting him in my mind! 

"Is Yuu talking about Rook again?" Don, the skinny ghost, asked. He and the other Ramshackle ghosts materialize in the kitchen for dinner. Although they cannot eat, they stay to keep Yuu and Grim company. 

"Yep," Grim smirked, causing Yuu to roll her eyes. 

"Oh ho ho! I always knew you had feelings for him!" Harry, the fat ghost, laughed. 

"Since when?" Yuu sputtered, her face turning red. 

"Since the VDC. Billy, the short ghost, replied. "You two would always hang out, and he started spending more time here after it ended."

"A lot of people spend time here, too," Yuu pointed out and ate her dinner. 

Harry chuckled, "Well, you at least accepted his gift," The ghost pointed to the food Yuu was eating. Said human looked down to find that she did grab the leftover ratatouille Rook gave her yesterday. That was also the day he left his hat at her dorm.

"It was the first thing I saw," Yuu deadpanned and plopped on her seat next to Grim. 

"Sure it was, Yuu. We'll believe you for now," Don smirked. He and the other ghosts floated to the unoccupied chairs.

"I don't like him like that."

"I don't know…" Billy drawled, "It didn't look like it when he serenaded you on your balcony."

"He was just being nice because it was my birthday," Yuu replied, ignoring how hard it was for her heart not to jump out of her chest that night. She was willing to take how she felt like a princess to the grave. 

"What about that time he wanted to draw you like one of those French girls?" Grim innocently asked. 

"How bold!" Harry exclaimed, and the other ghosts laughed. Grim just sat there confused. Yuu felt her ears turn red as the ghosts smirked.

"Not like that! You know how he is! He is always trying to find ways to appreciate beauty."

Billy raised an eyebrow (do ghosts even have eyebrows?), "Oh, so he finds you beautiful?"

Yuu covered her face with her hands out of embarrassment. Her heart was beating fast, and her mind was thinking about Rook a mile a minute. 

The first time she met Rook, Rook's soft hair that she wanted to run her fingers through, Rook's unique personality, Rook…Rook…Rook…

"Watch this," Don whispered to the ghosts and turned to Grim pointing to something on the table, "Hand me that hat," 

Yuu was praying the teasing stopped until she felt a presence near her. 

“Bonjour, mon amour!”

"Ahhh!" Yuu screamed, causing herself to fall into Ghost Rook's arms and the other witnesses around her to laugh. Ghost Rook looked down at her with a smile similar to the real Rook, except Rook's smile made him look like a prince. Wait, prince? Yuu shook her head. This isn't real! "That is not funny!" she exclaimed, scrambling back and snatching Rook’s hat. She inspected it for any dust. 

Ghost Rook turned back into a laughing Don, "You must admit it, Yuu. You can't deny that you have feelings for him."

Yuu sighed out of defeat, "Maybe I like him a little." Grim looked at her with a 'really?' look, "Fine, I like him a lot. Happy?" Yuu hid her growing smile by placing the hat on her head and hiding behind the brim. 

The ghosts and Grim smiled, "Very."

Meanwhile, a certain blonde hunter sat on a tree, listening to the conversation through an open window. He originally came to retrieve his hat but climbed up the tree instead when he heard his name. 

"Oo la la! It seems ma chérie has feelings for me after all. I must let her know that they are reciprocated!"

A small trail of saliva connected on their bottom lip. Jinx was panting for air yet still felt breathless.

Her heart was pounding erratically on her chest felt. She felt dizzy, hot, lightheaded, and exiletated.

They didn't need to say anything to know their expressions read, 'Holy shit'.

His eyes soon soften with wonder and admiration at the young woman under him.

His full lips pulled into a grin dripping with confidence and pride, "So, you do like me like that?"

He leaned down to press a tender kiss to her temple.

Her lips and other parts of her body tingled from the kiss they just shared. She never felt anything like this before.

When she was alone in her room at night, she dreamt of this scenario.

I DO agree with him that good things DO come to those who wait!! 😊 I also feel too that a lot of actors who get fame later on in like probably do tend to appreciate it more and have a totally different perspective on it because they've had to struggle and struggle for years. So their view (and their fans views) on fame, money, projects, etc might differ from those who got super famous at a young age.

Their fans also might feel a little differently and may not be so hard on their faves with regards to what films they should be doing, because they remember when their fave was just doing bit parts on TV shows and films, so maybe their expectations for their faves aren't so high and they may not get as angry by what their fave is doing, or NOT doing. 😅

Look, when you've been a fan of various actors over the years who are in a wide range of different places in their career like I have, you learn not to get upset or take things like an actor's "career" too seriously. You learn to chill. 😎 You're just happy to see your fave in smthg new, and you don't have all of these unrealistic or demanding expectations on them and their career.

You support them just because it's THEM, not because of what movie role they have lined up next.

okay it's way too late to continue working on chapter 6 of FQTP and I can't really pull an all-nighter cuz I got medical check-up in the morning for my unexpected job (my ao3 writer notes are gonna be fucking insane), so i'm gonna be rambling about the random stuff that i've been doing today

i finally started doing the natlan archon quest and GOD THE PRIMAL FEAR THAT I FELT IN MY SOUL when Ajaw spoke for the first time

for context i play genshin with japanese voiceover and with the new region we got a number of new characters (welcome to gacha world) and two of them are Kinich and Ajaw who are always attached at the hip but also argue a lot. and whoever is responsible for casting decisions in the japanese department really loves doing silly funny little things, thus Kinich is voiced by Sugiyama Noriaki, while Ajaw is voiced by Takeuchi Junko.

Yes, we've got Sasunaru in Genshin Impact.

This is not even the funniest thing that japanese dub did here. Half of major characters in Fontaine arc were literally voiced by people from the Attack on Titan's cast. Ono Daisuke (and his most famous role is arguably Jotaro from JJBA) voices Wriothesley there. Only in japanese dub Wrio does the "ora-ora" thing. It's insane and surreal and I love every second of it.

anyway, back to the original point, Ajaw appears and he sounds excatly like Naruto. my soul started to leave me when i was confronted with the idea that Kinich is seconds away and can sound just like Sasuke. thank god Sugiyama did the less bitchy and more calm pitch, otherwise i would have been bouncing off the walls screeching like a vulture.

Work has been so busy recently and I've been heads down working on my latest fic, but the amazing @lilredghost and @dark--whisperings both tagged me in this game!!!

My jam these days is Star Wars (Obikin) but previously I was involved in MCU verse (Stony, TaserTricks). I am also eyeing some potential fics in OFMD and Lokius...if I ever get the time lol.

5. Do you respond to comments?

Yes! Comments are my favorite thing and I love reading and responding to them! They're honestly one of the best motivations to keep me writing...I've changed fics mid-plot just because of comments lol.

6. What's the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

Hmm...probably Lie To Me or While You Were Gone, both Sherlock (Johnlock) fics. Both stories are very dark and gritty, especially WYWG, and I think I might have been going through *some stuff* when I wrote them that influenced how they turned out lol. I absolutely adore WYWG - it's one of my favorite fics that I've written.

For Obikin, the angstiest fic is probably Away From Me (Don't Fall) which is a post-Order 66 fic where Anakin's fall to the Dark Side caused Obi-Wan to fall as well. It's a recent fic and I've got a sequel half-drafted just waiting to be finished. There's a twist at the end that I won't spoil...you'll have to go read it if you want to know what happens 👀

7. What's the fic your write with the happiest ending?

Ohh..that's a tough one! I always strive for happy endings (no pun intended) even in fics that are literally just porn (in which case, pun definitely intended).

I think To Tell The Moon has a very sweet happy ending. It's a same-age AU where Anakin and Obi-Wan are both padawans and end up taking part in winter festivities on a planet during a mission. It's a very wholesome fic all around (though since it's me, there is some angst haha).

The next one would probably be Forget Me Not and A Perfect Distraction, which I linked above, if only because both of them feature Obi-Wan getting what he wants and deserves, which he never does in canon, and I want him to be happy.

8. Do you get hate on fics?

Not in a long time, thankfully. When I first started writing fanfic I did get some hate which was very demoralizing but eventually I just decided to tell those people to fuck off very kindly. I've been so lucky to be in fandoms where everyone is pretty accepting and supportive 💕

9. Do you write smut? What kind?

👀😉😎 Check my AO3. There's smut. I'm a big fan of dirty talk and D/s undertones. Obikin delivers plenty of opportunity !

10. Do you write cross-overs?

Not yet! I would love to try one day if the opportunity presented itself.

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Not that I know of!

Not yet, but I would love that if anyone every felt so inclined! Same with podfics.

I have not but that would be an interesting experience!

15. What's your WIP you like to finish, but doubt you ever will?

I want to go back and finish A Different Sort of Knife one day. I had such a fantastic time writing Sith Obi-Wan and his catnip Padawan Anakin. I hope that I get the motivation to go back to it.

I just finished a WIP that I had started last year and ended up coming back to it after a hiatus (Forget Me Not), so there is hope!

16. What are your writing strength?

I like to think that I'm good at characterization. It's something I obsess over when I'm writing, to the point that I end up throwing out whole passages if I don't feel like I'm conveying the character correctly. I've been told that my descriptions and metaphors are good, which is lovely to hear ❤

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

Probably that it takes me too long to write something haha.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?

I love reading fics with dialogue in other languages! It adds so much depth to the story and is very immersive.

19. First fandom you wrote for?

MCU (Loki/Darcy Lewis). Back when I thought I was straight, but Tom Hiddleston and Kat Dennings are both babes so I stand by it.

😎Ok so here is my explanation on why some of the lines from “ A MACTH INTO THE WATER” by Pierce the Veil are perfect for R and her feelings about old friend ( OF until given name) and even some about Nat. If you can’t tell I love and listen to a lot of music ( I have many songs line up that I can do explanations on why they are perfect for this character and her feelings about things , so if that interests you please let me know) but I will only be doing this song for now.

“ I kiss the scars on her skin , I still think your beautiful and I don’t ever want to lose my best friend” - explained how R felt before she lost OF and possibly how OF felt about her. OF was one of the only( or the only ) people who didn’t see R as a monster.

“ I screamed out “ GOD you vulture” , give her back or take me with her” - self explanatory and we already saw her reaction. R tried to “ take her self with” OF when OF died. She didn’t know about her healing factor or the extend of it at that time. She tried in a multitude of different ways.

“ She’s mine , you say away from her . It’s not her time” - This one is about Nat , R is screaming this at the RR and anyone who is after Nat. Nat is under HER PROTECTION ( maybe she wants Nat as hers or will want Nat but that isn’t something she will admit or let herself have easily) and R isn’t going to let Nat die on her like OF. Not until Nat is out of her charge ( she still thinks this is a temporary thing , why would anyone want to stay with R) or until Nat’s time ( old age).

“ Cause baby I am the one that haunts her dreams at night, until she’s satisfied” - This is OF to Nat and this could be taken one of two ways. One OF is kinda mournful and sad seeing how this had affected R and asking Nat to help her and make her “satisfied”. Make R happy and move on from the sadness, guilt and grief of OF’s death. Two OF is kinda cocky gloating like “ I am so far deep …. deeper than you ever could hope to be in R’s heart , mind , body and soul. She’s mine.” Either way it is obvious that OF haunts R’s dreams at night and her being “ satisfied” is a cycle of her not sleeping until she has to or is alone, and her coping mechanisms: drinking, smoking, getting laid and violence. I believe in the first mournful and sad reading of OF to Nat but like I said it can go either way.

It is also canon in the comics and you can’t convince me otherwise in the MCU that Nat has a version of the super soldier serum. Meaning she has the accelerated or advanced human healing ( just all the perks that Captain America has) and the serum has stopped Nat’s aging or at the very least slowed to it an absolute crawl. So a certain person with an unbeatable healing factor doesn’t have to worry about a certain redhead’s time ( old age) 👀.

At this point, I feel like R's old friend should remained unnamed with as little detail given as possible...so people like yourself can fill in the blanks with all the headcanons you imagine. :)

I was literally talking to @mostlymarvelsstuff in a semi-related discussion that even Movie!Nat definitely has some kind of super-soldier serum. All those stunts she pulled in the Black Widow movie where she walked away COMPLETELY UNHARMED were very suspicious indeed.

(But I'm sure if R were to develop feelings for Nat, she would feel a lot better if Nat either didn't age/aged very slow compared to the rest of the population 👀)
