my ACEN tip gimmick has been fulfilled, aaand i got a little carried away with it. I haven't had time to draw for myself (or at all, really??) in like two weeks, i needed to Doodle and Have Fun. ... also, i did not think he would get so many donuts. people understand the value of giving treats to fictional characters :) its what he deserves

also shoutout to snazzyskeletons who had the same Tip Theme i did. we took pictures with our tip jars together. they are adorable v

thinking about how I cosplayed Wolfwood (huge cross and all) at ComicCon and multiple people asked if I were Jesus, 30-year-old Trimax fans came up to me saying “Finally an original Wolfwood,” or “damn rest in peace,” and a person cosplaying as JJBA Jesus stared at me and the Punisher and went “oh fuck not again :(“

Thinking about when I cosplayed 98 Meryl at a con and an artist at a booth asked me if I was "Derringer Meryl" and I said yeah and then he asked me where my guns were and I was like "I didn't have time to make any" and he was like "damn... ur not even Derringer Meryl then, ur just.... Meryl."

I was in a RUSH because I arrived later than planned (thanks train delays (and getting lost in the park....)) so after the panel (where I managed to be in the front row!!) I only had 6 hours to run around and do my shopping before going home. not my best decision but now I'm prepared for next time.

it was so lovely meeting up with everyone, however briefly in some cases <3 next time i'm staying longer and hopefully making better conversation!!

Finally got around my journal and started to write down the fics I’ve read, it’s been a hot minute since the last time I updated it

And it’s. There are. So many. I’m overwhelmed because I have them BARELY sorted out in folders.

Most are multi chapters. So like, I don’t know how the fuck I pulled that off while on the hell that was my finals season. Um. It’ll take a while until I get around updating the list here, planning to do a document with them

So um, in the meantime, anyone interested in fics?? Or sharing them, gosh please if you see this please please promote yourself if you are a writer, I beg I love

Did i just mute someone on insta purely for calling themselves a purist of the OG trigun show vs the new adaptation? You fucking bet.

The kicker? I will proably agree with at least 95% of their rant if i ever get around to trying the new show. My expectations were already super low!

....but jfc when your language over a fandom starts being juuuust shy of gatekeeping, i've had it.

I wasnt gifted the name Wolfwood and used it for almost a decade, and my dad wasn't aggressively hit on by the only Vash cosplayer in our area for three straight years circa 2003-2005, to hear someone gatekeeping.

I was there too! DVD players were ~brand new technology~ and anime cons were just hitting their first real north american boom. You're not special for loving 90s/early 00s anime, and i dont care if this adaptation is actually hot garbage, if it brings new (respectful, of course) fans to the old mediums, THATS NOT A BAD THING.

Let the show be trash! Adaptations often are! I dont care! I'm just happy to see it back in any sort of popularity even for a moment!

But the moment you call yourself a purist of anything you should take a real close look at your actions, because alienating those with the same interests as you stopped being cute about 20+ years ago. (No matter your intentions, it will -always- reek of 'oh, you think you're a reAL fan???')
