Bonus Team Avatar in formal wear/at Hei-Ran's wedding, and in present day/Kyoshi novels
Sure glad nothing bad happened to this group of friends as they grew up :)))
I've been rereading the Kyoshi books, and I'm in a character design mood, so I thought of designing Team Avatar: Kuruk edition
It's so much fun designing Avatar characters. I love getting to research the different influences that contribute to the worldbuilding
#avatar#atla#rok#rise of kyoshi#shadow of kyoshi#kuruk#jianzhu#kelsang#hei-ran#nyahitha#costume design#art#it's kind of sad because kuruk is definitely the type to go sleeveless in everything above “middle of a blizzard”#but then after hunting dark spirits he's suddenly fully covered because he's always cold and covered in scars#also after being exiled kelsang can no longer wear the bright colours of the air nomads#on a lighter note hei-ran wears less white for her wedding than most other fire nation women#because i imagine both she and her clan are higher status than her husband so she doesn't have to distance herself from them#and i like the gan-jin wearing mostly white and gold so jianzhu does when he's younger#but after becoming an earth sage/yun's guardian he wears deeper greens as a performance of loyalty to the earth kingdom#also it's fun drawing nyahitha's knock off fire sage outfit
