what it is TO ME about the new the oh hellos. okay right so it’s a christmas single. but it’s SO DIFFERENT from their og christmas album. the og album is just a huge conglomerate of hymns and carols and very non-secular. but i think the statement of making another “christmas” song but not have it really be about the biblical birth of christ (v different for them) is a powerful statement that aligns well with where they concluded lyrically at the end of zephyrus. btw can someone tell me if i am overthinking this

Someone at an old job asked why I wanted to write up the meeting minutes for our team and I said 'i wanna control the narrative' and they were like 'what' and I pointed out that no one was gonna remember what we said in six months and so my interpretation of the meeting would dictate the assumed reality of what happened
