[as i mentioned i mostly associate harmonia [basically my soul's perception of whole, seeing him as a lot more divine and godlike than he actually is] with monarch butterflies rather than whole himself. and.. wow! finally talking about cats. but anyway, soul-cat [hnng... name idea is something like shattersong but i dont know how much i actually like the name... so im gonna call him soul for now] really really looks up to whole-cat. in a kinda unhealthy way, like.. hating himself for not being like whole. so he wears the monarch butterflies and covers the black half of his face because he wants to be more like whole, basically. also he has heterochromia. i havent decided what color his other eye is but i might go green?? or maybe a really deep amber, to try to be close to red. i dunno, his eyes also might change based on how i end up designing whole. for example if whole gets green eyes then soul's exposed eye will be his green one and the other will be idk probably yellow. if you couldn't tell it's another case of him hiding the part of him that isn't like whole. dw it learns self worth later down the line.]

My Wonder Woman Starter Recs (specific style 😎)

First stops: for an initial introduction to Wonder Woman, I'd generally recommend going to at least one of three places first. These three are:

Wonder Woman: Historia: The Amazons by Kelly Sue DeConnick

Wonder Woman: Year One by Greg Rucka

Wonder Woman: the Hiketeia by Greg Rucka

Of these I generally recommend reading Historia first, as it's a retelling of the origin of the Amazons as a race and how Diana came to be (so it essentially starts from the beginning) and is also the most recent of the them (if that means anything). Something to note about Historia though is that it's a DC Black Label book, so it's events aren't strictly canon in the main DCU and there are some changes and new elements present. I don't think this is something that should discourage anyone from reading it though, it's the best WW origin story out there, and even in strict main canon over the years her origin is one that has had many fluctuations and small (& sometimes big) changes. WW:Historia is three prestige format (longer) issues.

You'll notice the third book there is WW: The Hiketeia. Hiketeia is a great book if you're looking for a view into Diana as a professional and experienced hero. It's a graphic novel so standalone and not too long, and has a great Diana and really interesting plot (Diana vows to protect a young woman and finds herself pressed against the wheels of Greek Tragedy). This is also the first work with Diana done by Greg Rucka, one of her most prolific and loved writers. A sampling of this work (and also Historia) I think gives a good guide to where to go next in terms of runs on her main title.

Wonder Woman: Year One is the second book on the list up there, but I'm mentioning it last here as it's a bit more complicated in terms of format. Unlike other year one books, WW: Year One is actually a series of issues on her main title, showcasing Diana's arrival to man's world in Rebirth (and also current p sure) continuity. The issue numbering for this one is strange (only the even issues 2-14 on WW (2016)) so I recommend looking for this in trade form if possible.

These 3 books I think give a taste of some of the best standalone stuff in the Wonder Woman mythos, and give the reader a good idea of where they may want to go next in terms of longer runs on the title. So I'll break that down here as a Step 2.

STEP 2: WHERE NEXT?

Here I break down some highly recommended runs based on what they have in common with the standalone books from step 1. As a rule, these runs are going to be much longer than the above and generally more connected to the wider DCU and other books. Look for the italics to see the introduction to each new work. Explanation paragraphs follow after each italic/bold rec.

Curious about Greek mythology in WW and the Amazons' origins after reading Historia? Liked the prescence of a supporting cast and Diana learning about Man's World from Year One? Willing to read a longer run? I recommend: Wonder Woman by George Pérez

George Pérez's time on Wonder Woman totally reinvented the character after Crisis on Infinite Earths, and is fundamental in establishing many core concepts of her lore. At 62 issues, 2 annuals, and a 4-issue crossover event at the end (War of the Gods), it's definitely a commitment to read, but it's the most enduring and well-loved run on Wonder Woman for a reason--it's just that damn good. Lots of focus on mythology (although with a lighter tone than Historia) alongside Diana learning her role in relation to Man's World & establishing herself as a hero and ambassador. Pérez's run also has almost-certainly the most expansive and developed supporting cast in WW comics, something that really drives the emotional core of the series, especially in later issues. Obligatory note that this series was written between 1987 and 1992 and contains some very occasional aspects that I thought were in some way dated/uncomfortable etc. while reading (details of Cheetah's origin, depiction of the Bana-Mighdall, Hercules) but despite that I still highly, highly recommend this run. The word fundamental cannot begin to describe it.

Liked the experienced Diana of the Hiketeia? Interested to see her attempt to balance the high stakes responsibilities of an ambassador and superhero? Looking for some really badass moments and fights? Haven't read enough terrible tragedy? I suggest: Wonder Woman by Greg Rucka 2003 EDITION.

Some of Diana's coolest moments of all time are collected here. Also one of her most controversial. The 1st Rucka run is very much the story for anyone who liked the Diana of the Hiketeia and the tragedy of that and Historia. 2003 Rucka Diana is a Diana tested, forced to make decisions that are anything but easy, and live with the consequences. She's extraordinarily capable, but her enemies know that and are prepared to that end. This run, along with the Pérez run, rank among my favorite Wondy comics of all time (those and Historia are my top 3). This run is such peak Diana, especially in terms of sheer badassery. Her final confrontation with Medusa is in my opinion perhaps the greatest Wonder Woman fight scene of all time. Her encounter with Athena in the second-to-last issue breaks me every time. Cannot recommend this book more.

*a note abt this run is that it is more context-dependent than the other ones listed here, as it's the run that finishes out the Wonder Woman vol. 2 book and so has some guest appearances from characters introduced in other prior runs (Artemis of Bana-Mighdall, Cassie Sandsmark, and Vanessa Kapatelis, to name a few). I read this run before knowing much (if anything) about any of them, and still enjoyed it a lot, so I wouldn't be worried about this really but just thought I'd mention it.

Rucka's 2003 run is published from Wonder Woman (1987) #195-226. You can also find it in trade and I believe(?) omnibus. Sometimes the Hiketeia is included in collections of this series, as the 03 run is thematically similar in many places, just with a much deeper look at Diana and the world & with higher stakes.

...yes I'm putting ANOTHER Rucka book on here. He writes a great Diana, what can I say. This run is the same one that Year One came out of, just the follow ups to that story and versions of the characters. I have this run listed as separate from Year One though, as there's some really big time skips since the events of that first volume. A lot of time has passed since then, and there's more history between the characters, not all of it without drama. This run continues to be weird with the numbering, as well as some artist changes, so I definitely recommend looking into reading this in trade format (physical or digital) if at all possible. My recommended reading order is WW 2016 by Rucka vol. 2 "The Lies" (Wonder Woman: Rebirth Special #1, followed by 2016 main title odd numbered issues 1-11), then Rucka 16 vol. 3 "The Truth" (odds 13-23) then Godwatch (evens 16 through 24) followed by 25? But The Truth and Godwatch combine near the end so that doesn't really work either. This run is so good but recommending it is such a pain because the numbering is so all over the place. On God I never know which order to read this in. Going to revoke my previous statement and say read it as Rebirth Special 1, then only odds 1 through 11, then from 13 through 25 normally. That may lead to some weirdness as you read because the two stories take place at different times and have different art styles, but they come together at the end pretty dramatically so I think it's less confusing to read it this way? Maybe? So strange bc this is one of the go to good starter runs and yet it's set up so unintuitively. If someone has a better way to read this then let me know and ill edit, ik this explanation is super confusing bc neither way to read it is totally ideal imo and I feel I definitely read it in a weird order.

see like, cocoa isnt really Averse to interaction in any sense of the word-- she was honestly quite friendly, if a bit spacey. towards the start of her being Like That, i mean. super airheaded, will honestly just go along with things if you drag her along. she just kinda. ":)?" ":)!" ":)??" she doesnt really register that much, but just kinda matches the energy of whoevers around her.

but at the same time, shes very distant in the sense that. She Is Not Paying Attention. kinda resets between scenes, if you will. you have to be pretty persistent for her to ever actively remember anything-- let alone for her to Act on that memory. shes silly and will play around, but also she like. Really Super Doesnt Care, actually. the "and" in the "yes, and", if you will. (also she doesnt really. Speak. she has certain basic phrases and echoes whats said around her, but only ever really Responds that way.)

otherwise, shes very mechanical. does as she does and doesnt think about it too hard. however, its hard to notice the Drive of her actions unless you Really pay attention to her. because it usually just comes off as "She Just Does What She Wants. we just dont know what that is. shes surely got her reasons though." all it really is is habit, though. habit and the vague idea of Yeah Thats Close Enough To What People Do, Sure.

all that to say, youre gonna have a Really hard time reaching her that way. she is Not paying attention and Will Not Remember. though, depending on where azrael is in his whole . Everything. it could be different. if hes still locked in his Distancing state, i imagine theyd be. pretty wholly neutral. yknow the whole 'weve never talked but we sit at the same bus stop at the same time every day in silence so now itd be weird if they werent there' thing? like that. in idle downtime, they are just. next to each other, vaguely. (id have to wonder if azrael would notice how consistently Still she is. if anything would come of this. she is present to a very common degree, but never Does anything, past when shes called for something. she herself is unbothered by this, but..?)

if hes more in his Prying state, being more curious, things could be a smidge different. i can imagine that, given azrael's background and how he functioned towards the start of his arc, the way she acts might. bother him, a little. not necessarily "irritate," but more. "Somethings Not Right Here." she wouldnt make it any easier to find out (given that she doesnt even hide it on purpose really,) but there Are little notes to be picked up from her.

i dont think anything could be done for her that would "wake her up" in that state, but i think he Would be able to become a part of her Normal. just. yeah. that one. that one thats always there, and then comes and sits next to me, and talks about things. not quite consciously, but she'd come to Expect him to be there. just kinda passively gravitates. makes room for him, if you will.

now, combat-wise. honestly? i think theyd work pretty well together. iirc az is more dps focused, given the whole. Motions To All Of Him. despite the Big Fuckoff Sword, cocoas actually more of a tank role when it comes to combat. she just. Takes It. its honestly really reckless-- she doesnt even Try to dodge a lot of the time. you can toss her around like a ragdoll and shell just get back up. even if shes pretty critically injured, she just. keeps doing it. the "Just Win" approach, if you will. shes a persistence predator. theres no reason for her to Stop when she starts, so she doesnt. itd be. really dangerous, if she wasnt a little freak of nature jdhfbgjdhf

which is to say, cocoa would be very very capable of covering for azrael if ever they had to face a threat together. though, more pressingly, to me, this is where more of cocoas character gets the chance to show through. she works well, very thorough, very reliable in her role; but her demeanor is a Very stark change from her usual. Violentce(tm). its the closest to Actually Agitated that she can get at that point. the "mechanical" descriptor becomes less of a similarity and more. um. concerning.

the thing is, too, is that she gets uneasy when someone else is in the line of fire. its hard to tell if this is some sort of concern, or if its just that she doesnt like having to keep track of another variable to work around. (its both. unfortunately, she represses the 'concern' Hard, and it kind of comes across as irritation. or um. as 'irritated' as she can get, really.) which is, again, to say; she will get Very restless if someone has to cover for her. shes entirely task-oriented, but theres a certain Tension she seems to put off when things get dire.

...that she entirely seems oblivious to the instant things calm down. and i think that would be what tips azrael off about. yk. Something Being Wrong With This One.

so like. the thing about these two is that cocoa is like, wholly Entirely incapable of exerting any sort of Anything of herself for a very long time. however, azrael very well could have the patience and persistence to simply. chip his way in. again, become part of her normal. becomes Habit. if he does, its hard to say that she Notices, but the way she acts does Change. routine starts to form Around him, and all. and honestly... that is really, really important to her.

because like. if someone is constantly just There for her, she will do the same thing back. maybe not entirely consciously, but still enough to be noticeable. she isnt very capable of reaching out, but she Does know that patience. and will simply allow things to be, to be said, without positing any expectation.

(i cant really speak much on either of their respective breakdowns-- azrael's because i feel it is not my place to speak (and cocoa is terribly suited to this sort of thing past essentially just being a punching bag,) and cocoa's because. um. Well Thats Quite A Lot. its something she only reaches due to the presence of another character (You Know Her.) and only really gets out of due to being a) Exhausted, and b) Stopped From Doing Serious Damage To Herself (and others..) in all honesty, i cant really say she Solved much past being able to see herself a bit more. but thats an aside.)

past everything, though, in her more conscious state... i do actually genuinely think they could get along pretty well. they have a very similar calmness about them, for lack of a better term. stillness. azrael would. also very much enable cocoa's sharp tongue, which is Really funny to think about. stupid little thinglets staring at you from a distance. silently, but the judgement in it is nigh tangible.. jhdbfgjd

they have this odd sort of dynamic, to me; this kinda dry, kinda sharp sort of reaction to things. cocoa very much (in the cat sort of way,) mirrors azraels demeanor, simply because well. he feels like the type of character she would genuinely start to trust, once she gets the ability to. shes still heavily passive, but remembers more, and goes out of her way to accommodate him. cat bringing you leaves and twigs but its things he may have said he'd liked at some point. (she also gets much more Defensive of the people she chooses to like, so that as well..)

her method of showing closeness to people is incredibly, Incredibly quiet, but i think he'd be able to do it, if he can push through those first barriers. she's hard to goad into much of anything, so you rarely ever get anything out of her, but it Does affect her.

i do also think about the funny little "Thats My Friend." whiteboarddoodle from the other day cause like. thats Exactly it, really. like.. she would just. "oh. we're friends? okay cool :)" and would play that part until she actually gets the mind to register "oh wait. youve been here the whole time. oh. okay."

tl;dr theyre getting wellcheers together in the break room. in my heart. yay <33

i disagree on magda being mags’ best written partner since she only ever shows up in flashbacks. she’s barely even a character, just a plot device. other than rogue, who wins best written solely by virtue of being a full person with a life and personality of her own (and once they officially get together in legacy, their relationship is fairly healthy), i think mags’ best written romance is with lee forrester. their relationship lasted something like 8 years in real time, which is the longest romantic relationship mags has ever had, and they were pretty cute! it’s too bad she isn’t around in comics anymore. she was a fun character.

Author Notes - Chapter 2 is here! It’s starting out slow right now! I’m mostly focussing on introductions, world building, introducing you to the characters and dynamics of this story so the plot can progress!

Sorry I didn’t post this yesterday like I said, I got caught up longer than I expected to in the day and didn’t have time to write xx

The final scene was a last minute addition and idk why I just love it!

With Namjoons new energy, the producing process seemed to be much easier, atleast one out of three minds was inspired and had some encourgement. But, all things come to an end, by 5pm, Namjoons motivation has deteriorated and the lack of sleep begins to catch up, fast. Its catching up for everyone, Yoongi, Hoseok and Namjoon have been stuck in the studio for the last three days and only slept once, unhealthy habits that they continue from years ago because three perfectionists, trying to produce an album on a timelimit, all thats in their minds are caffeine and work.

All three are rubbing at their eyes, heads heavy and thoughts beginning to process and thats when they have to call it quits, for the night atleast because without a single present mind, no work was going to be produced at all and theyd be back in the situation they thought they would have had all day, exhausted, drained and unmotivated. Atleast a few hours of sleep is needed right now.

"I cant even think" - Hoseok groans, rubbing at his neck and clicking it as if it will wake him up some and help him, legs aching from being sat for so long

"Neither, maybe this is it for tonight" - Namjoon agrees, slumping in his chair just a little

"Just another hour or two and then we can call it off" - Yoongi mumbles, not even taking his eyes off the computer, more just commenting half passively to encourage them to keep going just a little longer but the thing is, that little one or two hours is a whole lot when you havent slept in days

"We havent left the studio all day, lets just take a short break and then we can keep going" - Namjoons groaning out finally accepting near defeat

"Yeah, you know what, how about we go to this cafe your talking about and just get a drink to bring back" - Hoseok mentions it, curious but also just more eager to get a stretch of his legs because its what he desperately needs right now.

"What do you think hyung?" - Namjoon knows Yoongi could turn around and flat out say no, he doubts it, but he could and as much as they could fight, they are all reaching for the same thing right now.

"Yeah, okay we can take a short break" - Because as much as Yoongi wants to just stay and work, his pack and how they feel both physically and mentally is incredibly dear to him, even if it isnt always openly shown, even if he grumbles out his agreement and huffs, he doesnt mind taking a break for them.

Quickly having one last listen and making sure to save and close the computer just in case, the tired alphas groggily make their way into the biting air under the sunset, 5:15pm. Yoongi doubts the cafe will even be open anymore, Hoseoks yearning for his americano and Namjoon is maybe a bit too excited to go back so soon.

The two who havent yet seen the cafe pause for a moment when it comes into view, furrowing their eyebrows and taking in the scene because they instantly understand the appeal atleast visually, Their warm fairlights and string lamps set up outside lighting up the seating area and the atmosphere is like that of a movie in the moment, they'd seen hundreds of beautiful places in all of their travels but this is different, the small details Namjoon had noticed earlier making their way into the two alphas attention too. The 'Open!' Sign is still flipped how it was this morning, Namjoon sighing out in relief because he really does need the caffeine. Because thats definitely, definitely the only reason he wanted to come back. He too is surprised your open and it isn't too busy inside from what can be seen through the windows, tables occupied but not packed.

The little bell jingles as they enter, the two elder alphas taking moments to observe the inside, inhale the still strong scents of coffee and baked goods and yeah this was starting to make sense why Namjoon liked it here so much after just one visit. And then they see you, instatly knowing your the omega Namjoon mentioned as you bring over the teapot of chamomile tea to Mrs. Han and engage in a light conversation with the sweetest smile gracing your lips. Your eyes flicker to the door at their arrival but you dont stray your attention from Mrs. Han too much knowing your conversation would be short and you'd be back behind the counter shortly.

The earthy scent youd enjoyed this morning briefly fills your nose from across the room and your eyes light up a little, hes back, so soon and with two? other people, other alphas. One is a strong, heavily masculine sort of burning wood smell, theres hints of sweetness underneath, if you were to guess its- marshmallow? but its subtle and oh so complimenting with a hint of whiskey, just a little, its warming and while its a combination youd never imagined before it works so well, like a summer night out in the forest, a wood cabin and a fireplace maybe. The other is musky, the kind of musk only an alpha can have in their scent which can easily be overwhelming, unpleasant even, but its mellowed out with hints of crisp green apples and cedarwood, its lively, masculine and perfectly balanced, refreshing and so alluring. You try to resist the urge to breath a little deeper to take in more of their scents as you listen to Mrs. Han and finish up your conversation but as you begin to walk towards the counter and allow a little more of the scent to invade your senses, you cant help but frown at the bitterness of exhuastion that is laced over each of their scents, its unsettling to you, the type of tainting you really dont like to smell on others and you walk a little faster to take their orders and hopefully make it even a little less bitter.

Namjoons smiling as he approaches you at the counter, looking over your clear window showing off the bakes and noticing how its nearly empty now, just a few of each left, some only having one or two, some actually empty but there it is, the apple and cinnamon pretzel that made his morning and then he looks back up and he wants to coo at you, your hair messier than it was this morning, a little fluffy and your wearing a pair of glasses now, adjusting them on your nose as you approach them quickly, your sweet smile back again.

"Hello! Back again already" - You giggle out and Namjoon goes a bit pink with realising how yeah hed come back under 12 hours after he came for the first time and swooned over your coffee and bakes. Yoongi and Hoseok stand slightly behind him watching with intrigue and taking you in, a little warmth filling thie chest at your soft appearence and voice, they can also feel the shift in Namjoon's scent as it twists just a little stronger and sweeter, your nose twitching in response in a way that they find utterly adorable.

"Haha- yeah" - Namjoon awkwardly laughs out, practically facepalming in his head at the awkwardness in his voice but you really dont mind, its cute to you. Its cute in a way you'd never really thought of alphas like before, his clumsiness in body language and words just making you smile wider. Its so common for alphas to purely exude confidence, overhwelmingly strong and often pride too, which, of course is bad to stereotype but its one youve actually experienced. The lack of those two qualities, the slight uncertainty and natural tinge in Namjoon's actions are refreshing, its welcomed.

"What can i get you?"

"Ill have an espresso- uh the blend from earlier if that isnt too much trouble" - Namjoons cursing himself for not asking what it was because youd been working all day and probably had tens to hundreds of customers in that time why would you remember tha-

"Of course its not! Anything else?" - Ah, you cut off his doubt and awkwardness in a second and hes grateful, incredibly, for how attentive you are, even if you dont have to be at all

"What do you guys want?" - Only then do you bring your focus back to the two behind him and the way they step forward a little, not intimidatingly on purpose, but just naturally makes your eyes widen a little, brain falter for a mere second from the power of their scents but you force yourself to relax in order to listen.

"Ill have an americano " - For hoseok, looking forward to trying this coffee that transformed Namjoon

"A cold brew for me please" - Yoongi mumbles out, just loud enough for you to nod enthusiastically and you tap a few times on the screen and read over the order, routinely about to ask about what coffee blend theyd like but something comes to mind.

At 6am Namjoon had ordered two espressos, looked exhausted, wasnt even going to eat anything with it, hed left with some energy which made you happy but now hes back with that same exhaustion, at 5:30 and ordering more coffee? Its not your place, you havent even known him 12 hours but you cant stop the concern, the gentle scolding you want to give for how it cant be good for his body to have such strong coffee at this time in the day when he should begin to unwind.

Your eyebrows furrow, a little frown settling on your face and all three alphas feel their heart jump when you look back up at them, specifically speaking to Namjoon to hesitantly address your concerns, your breath hitching before you speak because this really could come off as rude potentially and thats so far from what you want but you cant help it, maybe you could atleast suggest something else, just playful concern, right?

Unfortunately it comes out more sad and concerned than you wanted it too. You want to sound teasing but your voice fails you along with your expression and you curse yourself for sounding too pushy but none of them see if that way.

"More espressos? Its evening now and you had an early morning" - Namjoon faulters at your words, lips parting in surprise and he can feel the strings in his heart pulling in everywhich way. You watch him struggle to reply for a moment but then you look at the other two criminally handsome men and one (Yoongi) suddenly smiles amused at your bold confrontation despite not knowing him long at all and Hoseok tilts his head with a smaller smile in further curiosity, waiting to see how this plays out.

"Ah we still have some work to do" - Namjoon eventually manages to get out but he instantly regrets it when your frown deepens, you arent going to argue because its not your place but the lack of approval in your expression has Namjoon spinning back on his words with a hand scratching his neck awkwardly, hes giving in to your every concern and wish without even realising because it feels good to be cared for, concerned for, its not common ehich is odd to think considering the millions of fans who wish them well at all times but this is personal, real, raw concern and its not because hes an artist, not because hes someone you admire but simply because hes human. And thats something that feels new.

"But... what would you suggest instead?" - The way your expression lights up and smile regraces your face is enough compensation for giving up the caffeine he holds close to his heart, this feels warmer, more rewarding. You instantly reply bubbly at his acceptence of your not so subtle suggestion.

"I can make you a mint tea? Its relaxing, less caffeine, good for your throat" - You list off a few benefits happily and its clear youd chosen something you found suitable to him because chamomile was too relaxing, fruit tea possibly too sweet, mint was just right in your opinion.

"I'll have one of those then instead, and uh another apple and cinnamon pretzel please" - If he's going to differ from his usual choice he might aswell indulge in another one of the sweet, filling treats he so enjoyed before, the way you light up impossibly brighter in the dim ambient atmosphere pulls a more permanent smile onto Namjoons lips, he can see you teeter on your feet because he'd indirectly admitted his adoration for the bake.

"Of course!" - You tap it in satified with his change of heart, more than satisfied, fulfilled and warm inside, holding back a purr from showing how much it warms your heart to care for and treat people, especially those who work too hard for their own good which is what these alphas give off.

Your looking over the other two alphas remembering their presence instantly, this could be their first coffee of the day for all you know - you doubt it - given they look the same as Namjoon in terms of exhaustion but you dont know anything about them and your interference with Namjoon's order is as far as you'll push for now so you just give them the same smile you give Namjoon and look over all three as you ask your next question, really trying not to shrink under their strong presences. Its hard to ignore the swell of pride that fills your heart realising not only had Namjoon returned so quickly but he had also - supposedly - brought his friends here too, its an indirect praise that just makes you smile a little wider, your cheeks a little warmer and fingers a tad more fidgety but you try not to show it.

"Anything else?" - Hoseok looks over at the bakes display because Namjoon had ordered something from there and then something catches his eye

"Is that banofee pie?" - One, pristine slice remains under the cake cover and when does he ever resist a banoffee pie, especially one that looks so good.

"Yes! It is" - Your nodding and watch Hoseok pause for a second, heart lips pulling into a tempted smile, nodding to himself and you

"Ill have that slice then please" - The smile widening on your face a little is once again rewarding and Hoseok wants you to always smile like that- even if hes only just met you.

Yoongi has been watching the interactions silently, observing you, the way your so expressionate in your body language and face, saw the way your body lit up like a live wire both times the alphas requested one of your desserts and while he really did want to get back to finish up and finally sleep a bit, he wouldnt mind staying for a while in the cozy atmosphere of your cafe.

"Okay! Is that all for you?" - The three are nodding quickly at your question

"To go or sit in?" - They should go, get their drinks and go back to the studio but something in each of them is tempting them to stay. To indulge. Namjoons looking back at the other two quickly because he knows they said theyd go back but admitedly he doesnt want too and when he looks at Yoongi for his decision and when the man simply shrugs, avoiding looking him in the eyes and pushing his long hair back, Namjoon feels like hes won something, turning back to you waiting and nodding before he answers for the three.

"Sit in please" - You quicly ring them up and repeat what youd told Namjoon this morning, that they can sit anywhere and they find a small corner, three comfortable seats and a window for a gentle, fresh breeze. In your negociation with Namjoon youd completely forgotten to ask what the other two alphas would like coffee blend wise and you panic for a moment, looking back and forth as they sit down and noting the deep sighs they exchange purely from thie minds clouded with stress, you take the decision for yourself to give them the least disturbance, a honey roast for Yoongi and a Medium roast for Hoseok, mint tea for Namjoon with a little pot of honey he can choose to add or not and prepare all of it on a tray with the two treats they wanted.

Meanwhile around the table, the three begin to talk, taking in the night settling outside the window and taking a well needed moment to breathe

"She is sweet" - Yoongi mutters with a confirming nod of his head

"Very cute, caring too" - Hoseok instantly agrees, eyes watching you spin around behind the counter preparing their different drinks, intrigued.

"Yeah i mean i did say" - Namjoon’s eyes are also on you, thinking about how you’d thought about his health before anything else and it was just sticking with him.

"Bold of her to suggest you not have what you originally order... i like it" - Yoongi gives a small huff and smile.

"So we going to finish and go back to the studio"

"Thats the plan"

"We just have to review the last track again, make any last changes, it feels like its missing something but im not sure what yet" - Yoongi tells them with his eyebrows pursed because if any of them are the hardest on themselves when it comes to work, its him. Hoseok's a bit too distracted by observing all the patterns youve decorated this place in to think about what exactly is missing in the track but luckily for him, Namjoon answers.

"I get what you mean, just something small but definitely vital, it could just be the backing vocals we need Jin to record though"

"Maybe" - Yoongi hums out, imagining the song in his head and trying to work out if spending another few hours will even do anything or if Jin's vocals are all the track really needs.

"Choreography is coming along alright, pretty sure we can start to learn it next week" - Hoseok finally refocuses on the work topic and he recalls back to him and Jimin struggling to bring some of the choreograpies together, of course some of them are choreographed by other people but dancing is him and Jimin's passion, it just makes him cringe recalling the pure frustration and tension building when things just dont work or dont play out how they envisioned.

Before anyone can reply, they're distracted by you teetering over, silent on your feet but your sweet scent gives you away, unknowingly lulling some of the tension in thier muscles away, each of them slightly melting into their seats. You entirely focus on putting each of their orders infront of them, repeating them outloud quietly and being careful not to spill anything from the tray. The three watch you, expertly moving each of their cups around one by one with barely a few taps on the table, only then do they take you in further.

Your apron is tied tight on your body, secured with a bow in the back that Hoseok notices, fitting, he thinks. Your hair is tied back but a few strands have fallen from the ponytail and framed your face, the hairs tickling you and making you twitch but it doesnt set you off task for a single moment. Energy seems to bound around you but Yoongi notices the tiniest shake of your fingers and just slightly laboured breathing as your omegan body tries to keep up with the pace you set yourself, its something youve taught yourself to get used to and you have built a significant tolerance to it but at the end of long days like this one, it starts to catch up to you, makes you jittery and has you yearning for your nest at the end of the day more than anything.

You dress simply for work, just in a t-shirt and jeans that are for the most part comfortable but at the end of the day begin to make your skin feel a little scratchy and sensitive, nothing you can help or avoid. They do little to hide the curves of your body but its not something the three men spend time dwelling on because they arent some freshly presented alphas or disrespectful in general. With all of the dishes and cups placed down you quietly repeat everything back to yourself, a look of concentration on your face that makes the three watch you intently, making sure everything is there and when your content you shoot up from your slightly bent position, hands clasped infront of you and expression bright besides the impending tiredness that is due to settle over you soon and they can see it, as much as you try to push it down and only want to wrap you up in one of the many blankets settled all around and guide you to rest. You want the same for them however, and you express that, gently.

"Enjoy! And please do try to rest soon" - You say your last part quieter, hesitant but it’s appreciated by the three, and maybe your words settle in sooner than they'd planned.

You make your way back to the counter and occupy yourself with your tasks but the three can feel you trying to subtly glance over to gauge their reactions, they dont mind, more curious and intrigued more than anything. The sips they all take have them simultaniously groaning, kind of animated, seeming almost fake because it feels luxurious, smooth, perfectly suited to their tastebuds. Your smiling to yourself at their reaction and it only gets bigger when Hoseok tries his pie and his eyes practically gauge out of his head, taking an even bigger bite than before.

They find themselves not drinking and eating for fuel, but for enjoyment, slower than usual and certainly slower than theyd planned. Theyre sinking into their chairs, Yoongis slowly blinking in that catlike manner he has, Hoseoks slumping in the chair and definitely would usually mentally scold himself for how hes acting as if hes in his own home with his head leant back against the chair and manspreading but he didnt really care right now for some reason. Namjoon is feeling particularly heavy, sleepy with the warm, soothing drink youd carefully prepared for him, finding himself running his hands through his hair in an effort to try to keep himself awake. Without realising, half an hour goes by, 6pm and the cafe is slowly emptying, the three half asleep, incredibly relaxed alphas realise they should probably get up, so slowly they do, trying to blink away the sleep.

"So we best get back huh?" - Namjoon gets out, rubbing his eye but Yoongi shakes his head, surprising them both

"it can wait, lets just get some sleep" - Yoongi can practically feel the joy radiating off the two others from his words

"Look at us, taking her advice without even realising" - Hoseok jokes about it but its the truth and walking over to the counter to drop off their plates, they can see the tiredness in your own body a lot more clearly now, trying to keep up with quick movements but your hands are shaking more than before and your faltering in your movements, seeming to forget your actions every few seconds but your trying and its so clear it makes them frown.

"That was amazing thank you"

"Truly" - Hoseok throws in and they see you spin around at their words and muster up a warm smile, wishing them a good evening and telling them to remember your words from earlier playfully. Namjoon and Hoseok begin a slow walk to the door, Yoongi about to follow but he looks at the two, sees them about to reach outside and turns back to you, capturing your attention.

"Take care of yourself, hm? Get some rest" - Yoongi's quiet, making sure no one else can hear and his tone is soft but assertive, a small frown on his lips, you stare for a moment a little shocked, opening and closing your mouth like a fish because you hadnt realised anyone else could see the indicators of your tiredness but his expression made it clear he had noticed and he cared. You like to show care to others, it makes you happy but oddly enough, you dont often recieve the same, not that you ever expect it but just as an obersvation. He makes you stutter and blush, warm inside and all you can do is nodd furiously with a smile and a quiet assurance that you will.

Yoongi nods back, huffs in satisfaction and your small interaction plays on repeat for the rest of both of your nights. Yoongi revels in your sweet reaction, the "i-i will" you let out even if the surprise you showed unsettled him, the pink tint of your cheeks is cute, the fluster different from your confidient and bubbly personality he'd seen before that but he wanted to see it over and over again. Hes unknowingly smiling as he leaves until Namjoon and Hoseok ask him why he looks so giddy, brushing them off and telling them they should all get home and sleep, which they do without a second thought.

Your cafe is open early and late everyday, 6-6:30 monday to saturday but thats exactly why your friends are vital to any sort of success you have because without them, you simply wouldnt be able to run the hours you do. Mondays you do the entire day, along with wednesdays and fridays, one of the three will always be there during rush hours to help but for the most part you are set to work the entire day. Unfortunately, the long hours completely take it out of you and you also have to do the baking so to manage, you focus in the kitchen on Tuesdays and thursdays, maintaining prep for the rest of the week and having time to recharge whilst one of the others take front of house or two of them somedays. This way, you have much shorter days on those days and get the rest you need, you get to sleep in and leave so much earlier too.

Its essential - the rest - because as an omega you naturally crave and require more sleep than betas and alphas, its in your genes and although you absolutely use every ounce of your energy and some to work as much as possible, it does catch up to you. A lot of days youll walk in to your home, barely functioning and b-line for your nest, sleep an insane amount without much time to yourself. Of course you get breaks during the days you work long hours and you'd recently hired some part-time staff to help throughout the day alongside Yuqi, Soyeon and Soojin and its taken some weight off of you but you still often find yourself in the exact same position as you are today.

Not having a pack as an omega is hard, most would find it impossible but your situation isnt something youd change in desperation, your not in a pack by choice, not by force because your entirely waiting for the pack that feels right to invite you, if that day ever comes. It's hard because you crave the comfort and safety betas and alphas - especially - naturally provide to omegas in their pack, the ability to exude their scent in waves to lull their omegas into a softer, less anxious state - which you often get - and in return omegas are naturally nurturing, calming to those around them and balance out a pack, taking away stress.

For you, after a long day you begin to get jittery, shakey and lose focus in moments, you get out of breath incredibly fast, your eyes grow heavy, your mind slows down and tasks that would usually be simple become incredibly hard. You do your absolute best to hide it, to never show it infront of customers or even your friends but sometimes your friends notice and silently come to your aid just a little more than usual, something your grateful for, incredibly. No customer has ever noticed it though, atleast never enough to ever comment on it but Yoongi did and it made you freeze up, almost like making your mind catch up with your body and you felt even more sluggish than before but for some reason, it felt- okay? It would usually make you frustrated but today it felt okay to let yourself be tired, okay to be a bit more lenient on yourself.

After closing up, your walk home is slower than usual, not forcing yourself to keep at a pace that makes your muscles burn and lungs scream. You have the same issue as usual when you get in though, entering your own cozy space puts your body on sleep mode, tells you your finally in some kind of safe environment so you make yourself a quick dinner, half asleep already and moving sluggishly and as soon as its down, a quick shower so you dont get your nest dirty where the hot water feels especially scalding on your sensitive skin, sometimes makes it a little irritated but it all is well when your nest comes into sight.

You barely throw on your pajamas before bounding into the soft cocoon, purring in an instant, body finally allowed to properly rest, clutching onto the variety of blankets and not attempting to even check your phone because your hands are shaking too much. Somehow youll manage to put on a show to watch for .5 seconds before descending into a deep sleep but most nights its unfortunately interuppted. Not by anything but yourself, thats another reason beta and alpha pheromones are essential for most omegas, they help you sleep and stay asleep. Without, you end up waking up multiple times in the night without reason and its annoying along with incredibly tiring. Jolting awake isnt new to you, just not exactly what would be the ideal situation with how hard you work everyday.

Bangtan's pack experience the same, work long hours everyday, hardly see a few weeks of break a year - if anything - and in the time they do have to sleep, they struggle, tossing, turning, jolting awake. They put it down to the stress of their idol life but deep down they all know theres something else factoring in, the absence of something theyve yet to find. Its gotten especially hard for them recently, back from the military. Before, they could bury themselves in military tasks, exhaust themselves into a slightly deeper sleep, just as they could usually do before from their idol activites but now? Its started to stop working, as if their bodies have grown immunity to their tactics and are still pushing for something they dont know. Between consistent stress from the comeback, catching up with everything theyve missed and having to become accustomed to their pack/group life all over again - which theyd never imagined would be so hard to do, they never noticed just how routine it all was until they split apart - their bodies are in overdrive and their emotions? Yeah, not great to say the least.

The songs their writing themselves are getting more and more negative, forcefully positive in some cases but its so fake that it just feels wrong. Their unhealthy habits become more and more frequent, hormones are all over the place and their struggling, possibly more than ever. They bought a penthouse recently, collectively, its huge, big enough for all of them and they claimed they can stay there during group activites for convenience but realistically they share comfort in eachother, not just because they are a pack but because they share this deeprooted loneliness that those around them won't understand.

"Is it hard? Being an omega, not in a pack?" - Yuqi asks, blunt as ever and you know she means no harm, no intention to upset you at all so you take it with no offence even if Soojin elbows her hard for how she says it

"I dont know, i guess it was but im used to it now" - Theres not a hint of solemness in your voice, no search for sympathy because this is just how it is. It still makes the six - Yuqi, Soyeon, Soojin, Shuhua, Minnie and Miyeon (your friendS for years now) - cringe and frown, always ones to be concerned for you no matter how much you try to brush it off.

"You always have any of us you know?" - And you know Soyeon and the rest of them mean it, you shove another mouthful of rice in and smile through your cheeks with a nod, if you need them theyre only a call away but you understand why they're concerned, Alphas and Betas such as themselves have a significantly easier time without packs because they genetically arent as dependent on others usually.

"Aishhh always getting solemn Soyeon" - Miyeon scolds, nudging her because you clearly wont speak more on this topic, you never do, its a jar you dont like to open, one filled with old memories and Miyeon knows that.

"Sorry sorry- So, hows Leila, Shuhua?" - Ah this is a happy topic, Shuhua's neice, a little omega who isnt even one yet, the baby she sontims brings to your cafe when she babysits and just has you gushing and fretting over every little thing about her. Everyone can feel you brighten up, your scent sweetening as the hint of strawberry thickens balanced with the sweet cream.

"Yes! How is the little potato" - Yuqi asks and you push her shoulder with a playful frown, scolding her for teasing the cute baby. She does have the most adorable chubby little face and hands and legs and just everything- a little marshmallow if you were to compare her to anything but Yuqi liked to call her a potato

"If you keep calling her i think Y/n's going to explode one day Yuqi" - Minnie playfully teased and faux pouted at you but Shuhua brushed them both off, just continuing

"Anyway, she's great! My sister said she Doesnt let go of the blanket you gave her Y/n" - Thats the other thing, both Shuhua's sister and her husband are beta and alphas, Leila is an omega, its a rare occurence but far from impossible. They have barely any omegas in their family and no matter how much research they do sometimes they still struggle or Shuhua will struggle will babysitting but thats where you come in.

You understand, you can understand in ways alphas and betas cant because your an omega and while she isnt your daughter or related to you in any way so you dont know her every tendency like her family do, you can help in some cases. Like a few weeks ago, when Shuhua had come in with her and you'd been working in the kitchen that day but youd whizzed out, flour all over your apron and rushed over before youd even heard Leila's first cry because you could sense the distress before they all could. Soojin had stared in surprise as you'd practically sprinted past her and reached the two just before Leila began to cry and saw Shuhua's face morph into one also of distress because she was fed, changed, being held after not wanting to crawl or walk for the moment, all of the things shed routinely check, indicated that Leila should be just fine and you knew that Shuhua had obviously done everything right but you could feel and see some unresolved discomfort.

You didnt know what from, but it was the kind you'd get when you just needed an extra layer of comfort when you were younger especially, its how you ended up with a collection of soft blankets to bring with you to places - which now are carefully placed in your nest after years of wear - its a hunch but it was worth trying and you'd wide eyed rushed around, to your small office in the back, past Leila and Shuhua and Soojin again, practically throwing blanket after blanket out of the box you have kept in the office, unscented new blankets that you kept just in case until you found the exact one you were looking for, its soft, crotcheted so she could slip her fingers through it easily, long enough for her to drape over her body for years to come and with a quick feel yourself, you just knew it was right so without another word you were draping it over her and gently encouraging her hands to hold onto it, her wails soothing until a wave of tiredness settled over her and she was asleep with pink cheeks and sniffles within just 2 minutes.

Shuhua had looked at you in pure astonishment, even though shed watched you be especially nurturing to omegas before, those in distress, discomfort, just a little sad or even those who you just sensed needed it but Leila couldnt even speak yet you'd just known and back to now, it fills you with joy and warmth that youd made the sweet little thing happy.

"When doesnt our Y/nie know best" - Soyeon exclaims dramatically, hand over heart for added flare and everyone laughed at her tease while you grew red cheeked and shoved in anoher mouthful of meat from the hotpot youd all gotten. Every friday night youd all go out for a dinner at the same restaurant in the area, a smallish one that just did the absolute best hot meals ever. You were exhausted every time but you kept it together throughout the day and evening because you look forward to this time with them, its rewarding after a long week and you cherish it. Absentmindely, the six always pick up on your needs, never forgetting to pick up the blanket from your office chair to drape over your shoulders or lap for that extra layer of comfort you just need after the day and they make sure your drink is always topped up, usher you into the middle of the booth between them and make sure you always walk home with someone even if youd tried multiple times to resist their fussing, they just know you, and they care.

"Jungkook why have we just got a huge delivery of pillows, blankets and duvets?" - Seokjin asks over the phone watching as box after box gets piled into the entry way of their penthouse, utterly confused when he read the box contents on the top of each one. Its absurd, the place is already decorated.

"I just wanted them hyung..." - Jungkook quietly mumbled out, he cant explain it to Seokjin because it sounds silly, he just got an urge, he felt an itch and he scratched it. Seokjin was running his hand through his hair seeing more and more come through the door and just standing in utter disbelief.

"What are you even preparing for?! An apocolpyse? The biggest movie night known to man? Have you suddenly turned into a bear and not told us your preparing to hibernate for winter?!" - Seokjin rambles into the phone, words spitting like fire.

"Hey i get it, the place definitely needs to be cozier" - Jimin agrees from Jungkook's side of the line, adding to his purchasing choices and Seokjin just cant believe it because in what world would they need anywhere near this much?!

But whats the point in arguing when Jungkook already sounded scolded and sad, its been hard for them lately, theres no point adding to the stress. With a deep sigh, Seokjin just bites his lip and nods to himself, mentally agreeing with the new arrangement.

"Do you want me to arrange them or just put the boxes in your room?"

Just two nights before, Jungkook had been browsing on his phone when he saw a tiktok of an omega preparing their nest, so many blankets and cozy things and his body went on autopiled, he acted without a single thought for some reason and for the next three hours, he ordered every type of blanket and pillow he could find on the website the omega linked for their primary usage, of all different materials and sizes without much of a plan at all. It was also clearly out of place for Jungkook because he barely ordered anything in black, white or grey, more white than the other two but everything else was mainly soft pastels, a few brighter pieces here and there. Its odd, but he let it happen because in the state hes been recently, he just needed to do something that felt right and it also felt right to order it to the penthouse and not his personal house, so he did. He didn't want to explain how the urge clawed at him until he gave in, how afterwards he slept better than he has in a very long time because theres no logical explanation for it.

Except there is, Jungkook is instinctively preparing for a omega to enter their lives and he doesnt even know it.

Contents : My thoughts on whether or not they'll actually fall in love? Depending on the character, how long will it take? And what conditions must be met for it to happen? And, depending on the character, will they not fall in love at all?

Note : Please keep in mind that this is my own interpretation of how characters will take on this situation and act on them, I don’t however assume and force this into a canonical aspect, I am not the creator of Blue Lock so take this post however you'd like if it is canon enough for you, or if it isnt, everyone has their own interpretations on each characters, but I am merely showcasing how I interpreted them, taking heed of the information in the manga and anime at hand, as I am trying to understand their character. There might be some information that lacks, maybe in the case of shidou, but it is only because we havent caught a glimpse of his past yet, and thus I am unable to fully grasp his entire characters, but once again, this is just my own interpretation. Nagi Seishiro

Can they fall in love? : Too lazy for it. I am sure Nagi can feel things, and develop feelings, but he wouldn't outright desire for the feeling of love. Nagi is described as laid back, unbothered, and deems hard work as an irrelevance. In the Nagi movie, this is further proved when he mentions how working hard, for academics, clubs, and love is a hassle and too much work for him. He sees himself in a future where he isn't working, is living good and satisfied and he sees it as enough for him.

But then again—

Nagi is no doubt still a human. So despite him not seeing it in his future, there is no room for guarante that he won't fall in love especially with the right person for him. Nagi fits into one of those tropes where the character can fall in love and develop feelings for someone, but they never envision it for themselves, yet they find it coming to them at the most unexpected times, then suddenly their whole view on it changes and they see themselves being with that person. Nagi wouldn't directly try and find love, he isn't desperate nor does he feel like it. However, in his case, if he were to fall in love, it would be in a situation where love comes to him.

How long would it take? : 5-6 months? Nagi might start falling in love in that duration, but he won't recognize the feeling until someone brings it up which would take more than 5-6 months for sure.

What conditions should be met? :

1. That other person initiates. I cannot see him being the first to do the "forming of connection".

2. That person respects his boundaries and doesn't try forcing him to do things outside of his comfort zone, unless he has already started to have feelings, if that person tries to force him to do something, only at the beginning of their growing connection, Nagi would view them as a hassle and it might cause some strains in their relationship.

3. However, by the end of it, Nagi is someone that probably won't have any room for complaints if someone truly wishes to be with him. For him, deep inside— no one would put up with him as much as that person that is trying their best to make a connection with him.

Reo being one of the few people that he views as someone he has become attached to, is a great example.

But if someone wants a deep, romantic connection, it wouldn't be so problematic compared to others. That person just has to initiate.

Mikage Reo

Can they fall in love? : Yes, he can. I don't see Reo being unable to fall inlove.

Reo is someone that is sociable and just from this alone says a lot about his character. He is able to form connections, socialize, make meaningful relationships with people. It wouldn't be surprising if he does indeed fall inlove.

How long will it take? : For Reo, it depends. The person has to be constantly involved in his life if ever that person wants to speed up the process. However, I believe Reo will try to also keep his mind to his success, such as soccer and winning the world Cup. He has grown up being dissatisfied with gaining things as easily with a snap of his fingers. For him, soccer is a way for him to redeem and prove himself, to both his parents and his own sense of self. Unless that person really catches his attention, I think he would fall in love, acts on it but only develop it further once he achieved his dream.

He would fall in love, that's for sure but he is responsible and if he sets his eyes on a goal, i feel he wouldnt be the type to back down on it. He also manages his time responsibly in which might aid him into giving time for the person that he fancy, but he would only further develop the relationship once he has his goals cleared up or achieved.

How long would it take? : I think if he has a type, he would stick with it, but maybe he would reconsider if the person intrigues him greatly.

If the person is his type, attraction would take a week and falling inlove in a month or more. But if the person isn't his type, it would take him around 4 months at the least, or more if ever.

What conditions must be met for him to fall inlove?:

1. He finds time.

2. The person intrigues him

I can place more, but it might feel forced so let's stick with this for now. Reo is responsible than most characters in blue lock, he has a broad view of how social circles work, and has a deep understanding with making connections. He can fall inlove and exert time to it if he sees the person as worthy of it.

I cannot see him wasting time on fleeting relationships, if he falls in love— he is serious.

Shidou Ryusei

Can they fall in love? : Absolutely. Shidou is a free person— someone that even chains have nothing against to. He feels whatever he likes. Does whatever he wants, and proceeds to life how he sees it. His character is quite complex for me to understand with the lack of information, on his character and his past. But with the information I currently have on him, in the anime, manga and the trivia. I can tell that shidou is someone that embodies the concept of freedom. For him, he also has his own philosophy on life and stays true to it. I feel like if someone just matches his vibe, doesn't restrain him, and will accept him for who he is, he would feel accepted and eventually fall for that person.

That person doesn't necessarily have to match his vibe, that person can also be someone that keeps him grounded and knows when to step up. But someone that matches how he does things can also make him "explode".

How long would it take : With the right action, it wouldn't take so long. Maybe even a few weeks, if done right. However, if the person is someone that doesnt show their emotions often, it might take a bit longer, but still not as long as the others, Shidou is upfront about his feelings, so if he feels the slightest thing for a person, he isn't afraid to own up to it which is why it wouldn't take so long for him.

What conditions must be met :

1. That person isn't someone that restricts his freedom.

2. The person can accept him for who he is.

3. That person can make him "explode" or so he says, which I think means— make him excited or makes him feel like his freedom is understood

In short, absolutely. He can fall inlove. But the person also has to be someone accepting. I think personality wouldn't matter much, nor the face or physical features, what matters to him is someone that can either keep him grounded and understands his freedom but still refrain him from overdoing things, or someone that understands his concept as a whole and embodies it themselves and also does things that matches his.

Bachira Meguru

Can they fall in love? : Yes, Bachira can fall in love. Bachira is someone that has their fear of being alone, the fear of loneliness. For me, it wouldn't be too unusual if he even craves something like love. Currently, friends that can play soccer with him is already enough to satiate his loneliness however, if someone is willing to love him, I dont see him being the one to complain— he might even just accept then there and then if he sees himself with that person.

But it doesn't mean he just accepts whoever shows interest in him. Bachira has endured loneliness in the past but that doesn't make him desperate to the point of letting anyone that has interest in him, date him on the spot. He can be aware of things, and understand situations. Bachira might fall for anyone with the right intentions. Or those he deems interesting and have formed an emotional connection over.

But if he feels they are it— Bachira would start to cling to this said person, his loneliness dependant on them.

How long would it take : A month atleast. But if they are someone that Bachira can tell is kind, or someone that has no ulterior motive, or just simply interests him, he wouldn't be afraid to fall for that person, even if the fear of being left alone is there deep inside. A month, or less.

What conditions must be met :

1. That person must be someone he has formed an emotional connection with.

2. He wouldn't be picky, he might even feel like no one would want him deep down inside.

3. If someone shows interest in him, they must have their attention all on him, no secondary interest, no any room left for other people, otherwise Bachira's fear of being left alone and abandonment would trigger and he might start to doubt.

In short, yes he can. But I see Bachira as someone that doesnt want to endure the hurt of being left alone, so he must really be sure this person won't do it. If he starts dating someone, he would no doubt treasure them deep down inside, thinking no one else other than this person would want to be with him.

I just read about Orion and Optimus in PN and i just wanna ask (i havent read PN in a while so i dont remember if this happened or not will read again though) Does Optimus know of Orion? and if he did what would he think learning about the two, and what would happen if Megs called Orion's name and not Op in front of him? Another question! What happened to Orion anyways? (I hope none of these are already answered in PN ಠ_ಠ gonna be looking real stupid lol)

Don't worry, none of these were mentioned in PN. I only briefly hinted that Optimus was Orion's reincarnation. So to answer your questions:

1. No, Optimus does not know about Orion. Yet. I'm sure Megatron plans on telling him eventually, but the concept of reincarnation has to be properly understood first and proven (probably something Sounwave or Shockwave's working on at the sidelines of the story, I don't know)

2. I do think learning about it would be a bit uncomfortable for Optimus. It would imply that he's had a whole different life with friends and family and loved ones that he doesn't remember, but that probably remember him at the here and now. Megatron being the obvious main one since he grabbed Optimus the first chance he got (literally, pushed him onto a table, bent in half and everything 😏)

3. If Optimus knew about Orion and that they were the same person, I think Optimus would encourage it. I think he would like having Megatron calling him a separate name or something that means something just to the two of them. Orion would be a very welcomed name in that case. But! If Megatron let's it slip before Optimus finds out about Orion and the whole reincarnation business, then I doubt Optimus would be very happy about it. I think he'd be worried that Megatron is using him ad a replacement for someone he might've looked a lot like from Megatron past. It would complicate things for a moment but they would talk through it (wouldn't be surprised if that's actually how Optimus found out about Orion because I love conflict like that lol)

4. Orion died! I think that's too obvious, that's not what you were asking, was it? Well, I don't really know, to be fair. Perhaps Megazarak got annoyed with how much time Megatron was spending with this upper caste archivist and took matters into his servos? Maybe Orion died and then fell deep into the depths of Cybertron? Maybe his frame was found many, many millions of years later and the main parts of it was used to reconstruct it into a functional cold construct and then it became Optimus Prime? Who knows! I didn't really think much further on it than Orion Pax died and that was originally the catalyst for Megatron starting the war in PN.

the thought process between the one month gap was trying to kind of compromise between the canon intention of them not being twins & having a "small but relevant" gap in ages, and the pretty much universally accepted fanon concept of them being twins of choice and putting a lot of emphasis on that in their relationship.

in the case of cc and the dynamic i wanted to lay out between them, i think them having a noticeable gap and leo compromising by moving down to be on donnie's level instead of donnie moving up is meant to say a lot about their dynamic and how he cares for him in this universe,,, but its not what i stick to in every interpretation!

there's kind of baggage to leo calling donnie a little brother in cc (if he acknowledges at all, he's probably gonna be going with "baby twin" lmaoo. raph and mikey will, but donnie only thinks of leo as older when he's lumping him in with raph) but he does in coming undone and enhancements. for cu's universe in particular i see it as something they've always just accepted/something splinter came up with, but leo holds like. the very tiny gap of time he has over donnie's head lmao. in cvd i think it comes up less, they're just kind of on the same level always unless leo wants to make a joke, and in kickback very early on leo specifically mentions having ten minutes on him-- they're fraternal twins there because donnie is trans, but regardless i also dont understand the thought process with making them identical tbh (i think the looking into a mirror concept could be more metaphorical, which might be more meaningful). in wwww the amount of time leo has over donnie is never planning to be specified, but draxum acknowledges him as "the oldest" and never calls them twins so it was probably a compromise like in cc lol.

all he wanted to do was run into your arms and kiss you. that’s all he wanted. unfortunately, he couldn’t; the presence that he once had was certainly gone because of something he decided to do.

everyday he breathed air was a reminder that you were no longer in the grasp of his arms. he could no longer kiss you to sleep whenever you had a hard time falling asleep.

he was your forte. and your reason to keep on pushing.

god, peter had felt worthless without his close circle. he had to get his anger out somehow. i mean, who was suppose to bottle in the feeling of losing his aunt and his close friends in a close time span?

most of his words were caught in his throat as he held out his knuckles to you, his eyes focused on your facial features. you were still beautiful as ever to him— the way your lips looked, and the way your eyes were soft everytime they were hyperfixiated.

your lips curled into a small smile, softly pressing the towel onto his knuckles as it picked up the blood, swiping it with a low pressure to wash away the dried blood, but not too much to injur him.

peter winced, sucking the air between his teeth quietly as the fabric made impact with his open cuts, causing him to bite down onto his lips.

“thanks again, but uh— it didn’t cross my mind to wear gloves. i guess i was heated in the moment? can’t really explain what i was thinking.” peter took one more glance at his knuckles before meeting with your eyes again, this time, his face softening with yours.

“no problem, but can i wrap them up for you? i wouldn’t want your hands getting infected.” you suggested, turning your back to another part of the gym as you started walking, not giving him a chance to deny your offer. “i wouldn’t want to give you too much work— oh, uh… okay!” he nervously followed you behind, keeping a safe distance between you two.

he had a soft blush on his face, not being able to contain the fluttering in his heartbeat each second he looked at you.

as you finally approached your gym bag, you dug in there until you found your packed med kit, placing it on the ground as you opened it, hearing the click. “always bring this with me just in case someone got hurt,” you mumbled to him, searching for an alcohol wipe for his open cut.

he knew you did, but couldn’t bring up the fact that he was aware of it already.

“really? wow, you seem really sweet.” he softly grinned at your comment, his heartbeat becoming faster as he saw you get up, tearing the packet open. “thank you, i would hope i am.” you laughed at his remark, cleaning his knuckles with the wipe. “oh, sorry! forgot to warn you!” quietly gasping to yourself, you felt his body tense up from the sudden stinging spreading throughout his cut.

“n-no, you’re fine! it’s just an alcohol wipe, no biggie.” he mumbled, his body returning to its original state. “yeah but again, it hurts— i mean, the stinging pain is no fun.” you sighed, going back to your bag to grab the bandages that was nearby the med kit.

“right but maybe i should be used by this feeling now… i keep finding myself hurt.” peter flexed his hand, feeling the muscles pull as you tilted your head in confusion. “by training! because, um, i rarely bring my boxing gloves.” he quickly caught himself before you could question him, forgetting that you used to know his secret identity.

“oh? maybe you should approach me often. i’ll patch you up for free… i’d hate to see you hurt.” you unwrapped the adhesive bandage, circling the adhesive around his knuckles and around his fingers.

he let out a breathy chuckle, watching you tear the bandage and attaching it to the side of his hand. “i’ll take up on your offer, i guess i should be more aware though.” smiling to himself, he pressed his hands onto his sides.

“yaknow, i can’t help but fathom myself onto why you seem… so familar to me. have i seen you outside this gym?” [y/n] arched an eyebrow up, packing up her stuff as she zipped the bag closed.

i did see this cuz im also active on twt as well. its kind of a terrible situation because people are mad about there not being any trigger warnings for the scene when its a clip leaked from an episode that isnt even supposed to be out yet? many people are fighting about how SA should be portrayed in media and since i cannot really speak on it, not being a victim myself, i have seen some of my friends who are, get threatened and harrassed over expressing that angel dusts entire story and how it is shown makes them feel incredibly validated and represented. it is really terrible how quickly people on twitter resort to to incredibly nasty insults and threats over such complex topics, tbh i havent rlly seen anything like it in any other fandom before. :( i know its even worse rn cuz hazbin is right around the corner but still.. i hope i can bring some positivity and joy to people in any case.

Vampire!Banda Sunato x Fem!Reader

You were able to hide for sometime, yet during one particular time of the month Banda did manage to find you...

The day Banda found out you had escaped he was furious, so furious he just went and picked a random victim just to use them as stress reliff.

God he was addicted to you, your blood, smell, tears, body...all of it.

But Banda knew he could find you and that the police would not believe you, no matter how hard you tried.

He just needed to wait, he started to go to your old favorite places, get close to peopel he knew you trusted, to see if he would catch your smell.

And he finally did. Its was october's first week. The decorations for halloween just starting to show when he came across your smell...it was fainth smell but it was there. He followed to a pharmacy that had bats and spiders as decorations, once he entered he followed it like a zombie, not noticing the looks he got from others.

Your smell ended in the femenine care section, Banda smiled touching the surface where your hand had been not long ago.

He inhaled his hand and took off.

You were having one of your worse periods of your life. Not sure why, you kept moving around on the bed, sweating from the pain. There was a sound, like your door was forced open. You backed away from him but he only needed to take your arm and forcefully pull you against his body. One hand was on your hip while the other kept your head on place as he smelled you, his fangs nibling your flesh, one finger doing circles on your hip.

You started to tremble, tears falling down as you felt him bite down hard sucking like it was his last meal. Disguting feelints came at once, from hearing im groan, how your body could not respond if by fear or pleassure as his tongue collected as much blood as he could. His hand going down between your legs to touch you even more.

investigating the sign [sic] gives datz a chance to geek about how cool dhurke is. now we're talking to datz directly again ^_^ asking him about the sahdmadhi law offices. "and i quote" is so annoying. i know he's doing a deep voiced impression of dhurke right there. Stop memorizing shit he says. Gay

then! he says dhurke mentioned he wants apollo to take over the offices one day...which cute and whatever, but this isnt abt dhurke's dadliness, this is about datz being such a FUCKING GEEK! he's talking to dhurke directly, right, so why are you gassing him up 😭😭 TO HIMSELF! HE'S DHURKE! "must've been because of you, dhurke!" he's too much of a good friend. he's convinced everyone thinks dhurke is as cool as He thinks dhurke is. it's insane. the fanboy behavior will never end

it's nice to see dhurke and datz interact too. we really don't see much of that in this game. dhurke always seems kind of understated with datz as compared to when he's being Boisterous Dad or Rebel Leader in public... how many quiet moments did they share together... just sharing news and shooting the shit...dhurke doesn't have to put on big leader charisma 'cause datz uplifts him no matter what. If SJM decided to "end" elriel for gwyn and azriel then that would just make him the worst mmc ever. He would genuinely be seen like a f-boy. You have a crush on elain and out of nowhere you want gwyn and not elain anymore??? That makes no sense. I won't be reading that book if sjm does that.

Not to mention, not many people know about gwyn and azriel- or like even shipped them or read the BC. so it would make no sense if you just smashed gwyn and az together in the next book! Unless you have another way, of course. But gwyn and az need more build up for that to particularly happen. I never understood the ship and I'm trying to. I never was attached to them like most people... but if she decides to do it. MAKE IT SLOW BURN, PLEASE. Don't rush it and force the bs.

If the spinoffs were styled like tog or even CC - where you have multiple characters povs in the span of multilevel books, any ship is possible. Elucien? Gwynriel? Azris? Elriel? Etc they all have the same chance as happening because in a multi pov series its so easy to show readers multiple relationships developing at once. In this style, you could totally have Elain and Az in a relationship but showing from both sides how it isn’t fulfilling then showing them get closer to their final Lis in a nice, angsty slow burn. This would probably span in the space of two books.

That is not the case with the spinoffs. Each book only focuses on one couple, therefore Sjm isn’t going to write about elriel and then break them up…only to have Az go with Gwyn. It also doesn’t make sense style wise - you’d need Elains and Azriels pov in their relationship to get how both sides feel- then Gwyns as well as she is the “final” Li for Az. Thats 3 messy povs but these are your standard two pov romances. Either elriel will happen and be in a relationship till the end - or they will simply not happen at all in canon. All those previous elriel moments, lore and buildup we’ve had for the past 3 books will just end. Which isn’t Sjms style.

By acowar, Sjm knew the couples. There was no reason to make elriel a thing at all. If they were rebounds - they would’ve been in a relationship by acofas - again, not the case. Even Gwynriels say that Azriels relationship with Mor is more important then his relationship with Elain, it brings the question - why would Sjm choose to make elriel a thing in the first place? What is she trying to achieve? Elucien had the angst without adding Az into the mix yet Mass chose to do that anyways. She chose to show and tell us Az is who Elain wants. How elriel are what each other needs and I dont see the point in making them a thing if they’re not endgame. Its not Sjms style. She doesn’t strike me as the author to put so much thought and effort into something that won’t matter in the end.

I always say this: Whilst it may seem the online acotar fandom is huge - it truly isn’t. It may take up 60% of the entire fandom. Out of that 60 - you have many that havent read the bonuses, not interested in any ships etc. I think the simple fact Azriels chapter isn’t being reprinted shows how unimportant it is in the grand scheme of things which isn’t good for Gwynriel because that is their foundation.

My stance has always been - If Mass was to come out and say the style of the spinoffs have changed and its multi pov - then I believe any ship has the chance to happen but with what she confirmed about the spin-offs, said in interviews and simple foreshadowing in the books - it all builds upto elriel being endgame. If it was gwynriel - She would have introduced Gwyn in acowar or acofas and we would’ve seen some gwynriel foreshadowing in those books as they’re the ones that have the clues for future books.
