~When Leorio first meets you he admires your character. He admires how headstrong, straight forward, and honest you are. He admires the way you're able to be yourself regardless of who's around. He admires how you always want to protect those you care about, how you always act so tough. From the day he met you, he was determined to break that tough exterior.

~With that, he tries to be around you more. He goes out of his way to run errands with you, he goes out of his way to talk to you, he does things that you like in hopes of getting a reaction out of you or a bonding moment of some sort. More so just trying to get your attention.

~At first you find it a bit odd, wondering why all of a sudden the boy is going above and beyond to be around you and why he's so suddenly trying to impress youThen you start to find it a bit endearing. Eventually after spending more and more time together you start to crush on him and unbeknownst to you the feeling is a mutual thing.

~It took weeks for him to confess his feelings for you but after a mental battle with himself he decided to muster up all the courage he could and ask you to be his because what was the absolute worst that could happen? He was surprised and also overtaken with joy when you said yes. How could someone as attractive as you agree to be his? By no means is he insecure but he knows your worth.

~One of Leorio's many love languages is physical touch, so he was pretty confused to why you never wanted to hold his hand, hug him or cuddle. He figured you just didn't like It which kind of hurt his feelings a bit but he'd never force it out of you. He was determined to figure out why you wouldn't hold him. Yeah he could've just asked but where's the fun in that?

~After observing he realized you weren't physically affectionate with anyone else so he didn't feel left out but he needed to know. Leorio got his answer unintentionally. One simple day you and him were out and about, he gently placed his hand on your lower back to lead you. He would've continued thinking you didn't like physical touch if he didn't notice your face turn beet red.

~He took note of the embarrassed and flustered expression that took over your face afterwards. He asked if you were okay and saw the way you tried to play it off and mumble something silly to throw him off. He thought it was cute and decided to try it again later, just to see if what you said were true or if his theory was right. Could you have been touch starved? That could be possible considering you've never actually been in a real relationship up until now.

~Later that night when you were brushing your teeth he came up behind you wrapping his arms around your waist and placing his head in the crook of your neck, pressing gentle kisses on your neck. That was enough to make you go into shock. You'd never been touched like that or treated so delicately. Your cheeks began to heat up and turn to a bright shade of pink. You spat the toothpaste out, hoping he didn't see your face. There would be no difference between your face and a cherry right about now.

~You washed the toothpaste out of your mouth and prayed that by time you were done your face would have returned to it's normal color and for the most part it did and there was a slight pink tint. You couldn't help but flustered. It was all so sweet.

~Over the next few weeks Leorio had been doing a bunch of things to fluster you. Whether it be calling you a cute nickname, touching you a certain way, complimenting you, taking you out on hot dates or showing you affection. It was all things you've never experienced romantically and you loved it.

   Well, you really didn’t expect for your first hangout with your friend after so long to end up with you going to the hospital. But, of course, something had to happen, right?

   You and your friend were sitting in one of the doctor’s offices, talking quietly and joking - they really were trying hard to make you feel better and take your mind off the pain - and you appreciated that a lot. Your conversation came to a halt when the door opened, revealing a young, good-looking doctor with... sunglasses?

   “Good afternoon! My name is Dr. Leorio Paladiknight. What seems to be the problem, Miss...”

   “(F/N) (L/N). I, umm...” How would this cute doctor react if you told him that you tripped while trying to catch some soap bubbles a kid was making just to make them laugh and also have fun while your friend was laughing in the background? “...tripped.” You refused to embarrass yourself in front of Dr. Paladiknight. And you shot your friend a look that pretty much screamed shut up and don’t embarrass me, please! No such luck because your friend liked your suffering today, apparently.

   “They were trying to catch soap bubbles and tripped over their own two feet.” They responded giggling and started laughing outright at the look of betrayal on your face.

   “Really? Get out, you’re a mean one. Wait for me outside. Traitor...” You said, mumbling the last word, as you pointed at the door then crossed your arms, your pout evident on your face. You weren’t really mad or anything, but damn, it did sound embarrassing. You could see the doctor trying not to laugh as he was biting his lips while writing something down in his notepad. Your friend only laughed as they got up and left, their laughter still audible even after they closed the door.

   “I see... Well, come here. Let me fix it. Then you can go back to your bubble-chasing.” He said as he patted the edge of the examination table where the nurse had told you to sit down, while he took out a pair of new white latex gloves and pulled a chair close to better examine your wound.

   “I was only trying to make the kid laugh...” You said quietly as you felt your face get hot from the blood rushing to your cheeks and ears while your pout only seemed to get more prominent. Leorio only laughed before disinfecting the wound and tending to it.

   “I get it. But you still have to be careful, you know? Wouldn’t want you to get hurt more than this.”

   “Yeah, but if you’d be here to help me every time, I think I’d be okay in the end.” Wow, where did that boldness come from?

   “Ahem, I’d be glad to help you if you ever come here again.” The young doctor said with a little flush to his cheeks and ears. He wasn’t expecting that, and the fact that you were this cute wasn’t helping. He continued working in silence while you looked at his hands quickly, but gently work.

   “Is it going to leave a scar?” It didn’t seem too bad, but you were still curious.

   “Probably not. And even if it does, don’t worry. I think you’re beautiful. One little scar won’t change that.” He commented, quickly glancing at you before bandaging the wound, feeling his cheeks flush redder. Leorio felt like he was on a roll today. He thought about it, he really did. Hitting on a patient wasn’t really seen as such a good thing. But you were so cute! And anyway, he wouldn’t want to make you uncomfortable.

   “Umm, do you-”

   “Will you-”

   You both stopped and stared at one another before chuckling bashfully, Leorio scratching his head.

   “You first. I insist.” You said, gesturing towards him. Leorio only nodded before licking his lips nervously.

   “Can I have your number? I don’t want to sound like a creep, but, umm, I think you’re really cute and, umm... I’d like to take you out on a date. If you’d like...” He said, nervously but feeling determined to try at least. You could only smile before nodding happily. You wanted to ask him if he was free that weekend and he laughed as you told him that.

   “Then it’s settled. I’ll see you then and I hope you don’t get hurt in the meantime. Though you’ll have me to patch you up if it does happen.” You laughed at this and promised not to get hurt, leaving his office with a smile on your face and the cute doctor’s number saved in your phone. Your friend pestered you as soon as she saw your wide smile, but you only stuck your tongue out, telling them that it’s a secret. They still owed you for that earlier “slip” from before.
