ALRIGHT Y'ALL MADE ME DO IT!!!
My unpopular tig/tgg opinions!!
FIRST!
These are MY opinions and i'm allowed to have my own thoughts on certian things, just as you are, okay..? Just wanna..get this out of way, i know everyone is respectful in this fandombut still.
1. this is something that should NOT be an upopular opinion. AVERY IS THE MAIN CHARACTER FOR A REASON. okay? She is a girlboss, and she needs more appretiation, cus literally search up tig on tt rn. Everybody and their cat named Stewie is talking about Grayson and Jameson? WHAT ABOUT MY MG AVERY? And if you see any post about her, it's probably a hate vid about how Avery should've kept the money...SHUT UP. Read what she said carefully..."no one deserves that kind of power.." and then think about it deeply.
2. I DO NOT WANT TIG TO TURN INTO A TV SERIES (or even a movie). i can't name all the reasons 'cus then the the list would be endless. First of all, i know, I JUST KNOW, they'll choose the worst cast ever. And even if they find the most accurate cast for the Hawthorne brother i will still be dissapointed, because the images of them i have in my head...THEY'LL NEVER TOP EM. second of all, they will leave out important moments, just as simple as it sounds, and trust me they will, just like they do with most of the live adaptations of books. Third of all, SHIP WARS!!! I phisically can't with ship war, like I'VE HAD ENOUGH OF EM IN THE PAST WHEN THE BOOKS WERE STILL COMING OUT. And just the thought of Averygrayson shipper saying "yeah Avery and jameson were endgame in the books but they might change it in the movie..." GIVES ME NIGHTMARES. and overall, not everything needs a live adaptation yk? sometimes things just have to stay the way they are.
3. ...this is a bit contrevertial.and i don't want to sound like a hater since i've said this a multiple times before but Rohan's pov was my least favourite in the grandest games. Purely bcs whatever Savannah and Rohan had going on...don't get me wrong, i like Savannah (even tho she did and said some fucked up things) and Rohan, SEPERATLY. But them being together...idk man, they were too..."booktokish" for my liking, yk? and i do love banter and teasing, but they were like basic "i like you but i like winning more" "couple". Not to mention they were so random...like where did they come from? I remember when we first saw Sav and Rohan having the same symbols on their cards i was very excited, i expected a different dynamic between them...PLUS THE WHOLE GAME THEY JUST WANTED TO FUCK💀
4. Hating Alisa Ortega and loving Grayson Hawthorne is CRAZYYY, and i'm saying this bcs they're pretty similar in different ways. And the thing is people are mad at Alisa for "saying mean words to Libby" (she was literally doing her job, you would understand if you were at her place) MEANWHILE GRAYSON LITERALLY THREATENED A HEIRESS! (sayin this as a Gray stan) *sigh* y'all are something else🤦🏻♀️.
5. Ohh...this one is risky...BUT CAN Y'ALL STOP ACTING LIKE JAMESON IS BLAMELESS?? all i see is Grayson slander, AND I UNDERSTAND, he fucked up, but saying "Jameson was so much better than Grayson" is a lie, at least for me. (He was better for Avery tho) he fs made mistakes that fandoms chooses to ignore. Like lets not act like treating Avery like a toy wasn't wrong. Lets not act like him blaming Grayson for everything wasn't wrong. Let's not act like him reminding Grayson of Emily's death wasn't wrong. And i know that later on both him and Grayson had a great character development, but still, i've never seen anyone talk about this.
6. This isn't about tig. But LIKING JLBS WORK AND BEING HER FAN DOESN'T MEAN YOU'RE GLAZING HER💀 (talking about an argument i had a while ago...) like is it so hard for your brain to understand that it's called having an opinion. Idc if it's JLB or any other author, okay? Like i've read almost every Jlb's books and i love them, AND i also publicly talk about how much iblove her work, does that mean i'm glazing her? UHM NO WTF💀.
7. LET. PEOPLE. HAVE. PREFRENCE. (I'm talking about ships btw) . Someone prefers LyraGray over Averyjameson, and that's okay. Someone loves Averyjameson the most, and that's also okay, someone likes Libbynash more then Xandermax, AND THAT IS ALSO OKAY.
I'll probably do part 2, i have more to say i'm just really tired rn.
Also it's not proof read so sorry if there are many mistakes.

My laundry is on the floor right now and I decided right now was a good time to do some digging into one of the most interesting characters in KOTLC.
It's time to dissect Fitzroy Avery Vacker!
So we all know Mr. Ritz Cracker,
Mr. "We're Cognate's!"
Mr. Golden boy
Mr. You-get-the-damn-point!
Fitz was the Elf who found Sophie in the Forbidden Cities. He was the one who introduced her to his— their— world. He was the first person to see Sophie cry, first person in the Lost Cities to support her.
From reading the books we learn a lot about how Fitz grew up, and you might be saying "uh... no?" BUT HA! YOU FOOL! You cannot just simply read the words, you must read behind the meaning and watch a characters behavior to learn how they grew to be who they are! (It's why I love characters so much, there's so many ways to learn about them)
From context clues and how he behaved in the books we know he was the golden child. First kid to manifest at the tender age of 13, and lose his leaping bracelet early too, not to mention he was a telepath and was basically flawless in school. He took pride in it, like most kids do. But you see here, that's the problem. He never had someone to take him down his pedestal that his parents practically built for him (fucking Alden). He grew up being told he'd do great things, that he was a strong Elf, that he was better then anyone else. So naturally he started to believe it and act like it. He wasn't necessarily vicious either, but he didn't need to be; he always got what he wanted anyways.
I think he felt alone. I mean he reacted so viciously towards his brother Alvar after finding out he was a traitor— UNDERSTANDABLY SO BY THE WAY! But my confusion with this was how angry he was. But I thought about it a lot through my rereading of the series and I realized that he was so angry because he had loved, trusted, looked up to, and felt inferior to his older brother. Despite— No— Because he was treated so much better by Alden(bitch) and Della(ILoveYouWifey) Alvar gained resentment for his siblings, mostly Fitz.
There was a part of Fitz sports thing in book 8.5 KOTLC Unlocked where he talked about playing with Alvar. He said it's no fun playing base quest (I think) with him because he'd stay invisible the entire time. What this tells me is Alvar agreed to play the game but would dip out of his own jealousy and pettiness. Which takes me to my previous statement—
Fitz felt alone. The one thing he never got was a brother who actually liked and loved him. The one thing he had been patiently waiting for and hoping for since he was younger and treated like the golden boy was his older brother. But he never got it, instead he got a traitorous older brother who hated him so deeply he'd hurt his friends without a second thought.
In my opinion, Fitz's rage over his brother is reasonable. It's honestly so real and raw that I can't even say he's being idiotic. Especially considering what I just said.
BUT
His fatal flaw his his anger— or more technical — His tantrums.
Like I said before, he always got what he wanted, he was spoiled and treated like a little prince. So every single time he didn't get what he wanted, his anger would rise. His emotional intelligence has been stumped because he never had someone say no to him or been rejected for something. So he's confused and angry; "Why not!? This never happens to ME!" Type of mentality.
This also comes along with jealousy and the need to compete with others. So when Keefe started to show his affections for Sophie a lot more openly back in book 4 KOTLC Neverseen, specifically when they ended up in Alluveterre for protection that was provided by the black swan, he started to act jealous. He realized how Keefe felt and noticed something about how Sophie acted and he automatically felt the need to compete which is why in book 9 KOTLC Stellerluna he has Sophie on a pedestal like a prise in his subconscious. He doesn't see her like a lover or a crush, he sees her as a prise to win over, subconsciously though. Consciously he thinks it's a crush. He went from thinking of her as a sister to someone he wanted to date; that doesn't happen for no reason.
Moving on from the relationship drama aspect of this, we can talk about his outbursts when something goes wrong. He needs someone to blame. Always. And it's never himself. He needs someone to push all this fear and anger out on because he's not emotionally or mentally equipped to deal with it. It's a self-destructive flaw he posseses. Same with his jealousy.
Which is why I love his character! He actually has some pretty bad flaws! But he also recognized it and is attempting to fix it; what he doesn't realize is that it will take time and whatever he broke will most likely never be fixed again. Simple as that. It's sad and will probably hurt him a lot but I will help him grow.
In conclusion: Kill Alden and get Fitz into therapy :D

The Inheritance Games
More Rant than Review: ⭐️
I'd like to note, this is all my personal opinion, and I'd also like to note that I might just not be the target audience for this book. That does not change my experience reading it.
Spoiler Free Version:
After a pretty good streak of books I enjoyed, I unfortunately found that this one was not for me. (Thus a very long review because I need to write out my frustrations)
I was initially really interested after seeing the positive reviews, which I do believe may have been to my detriment, as I was let down by my own high expectations for the story.
The best way to describe this book, in my opinion, is shallow.
The mystery was the greatest let down, because I feel that in a mystery novel that should be the most important aspect. But this mystery was lackluster and dull. The clues leading up to the reveal all felt basic and easy to solve. They were simple riddles and puzzles that the characters never struggled with, most of which the solution was just "spend a long time doing a tedious task". I never felt anyone was clever or playing a game.
And we are told these characters are clever over and over again. It comes up a lot, how they all know how to play the game and have been playing their entire lives. It feels like the story wanted me to believe they were impressive, but the setup just didn't live up.
The short chapters did nothing to help with the pacing issues I had- while some things moved really slow, others were way to fast. Avery would be freaking out and feeling big emotions one second, and 3 pages later (because the chapters are all 2-4 pages long) she's perfectly fine and back to normal. It just didn't work, it felt odd, like she wasn't affected emotionally by anything.
Don't even get me started on the love triangle.
The many reveals at the end were underwhelming.
I understand this book is meant for younger audiences, I just think younger audiences deserve better.
More specific (spoiler-y) complaints below:
Specifically, Jameson and Grayson are both so BORING oh my God. Jameson is playful/self destructive sad boy the whole time. He is either one or the other, without any nuance or development or depth shown at all. Because of this, he was kind of interesting at first, but ended up being kind of boring. Grayson goes from mean to protective with absolutely no development, it's like he just decides after she's shot that he likes her now. When he rejects her at the end, I was shocked, because I genuinely did not think the author would try to call whatever their interactions were a romance, because nothing romantic happened. She had a crush on him, they never flirted or talked about their feelings, and then he rejected her.
Also, the boys' mom being the one behind the hit is shoved in at the end, meaning it's given no time at all to be explained. We rarely hear from the mom so she feels like a boring suspect, and I wish we'd gotten to see more actual investigation into that, instead of 90% of those interactions happening off screen. I don't know why, but her letting Grayson deal with it by "pick a number" was so dumb that it fit right in. Overly simple riddle/guessing game that is treated like something profound. Except in this case, she let her attempted MURDERER go. I hate dumb protagonists.
The main thing, the reason for her being chosen being "her name is interesting" UGH. It just didn't feel worth it. Toby being alive did not even feel like a reveal, it felt like I was waiting for it from the first mention of his name. I do not count this as good foreshadowing, because the man was mentioned so many times it felt like I was being beat over the head with his presence.

Ok, so, here's the next chapter.
It's a wee bit weird, so feel free to skip most of it, it won't affect the story at all. It's just there, doing it's thing.
Here's the first part, you can follow the link to read the rest of dip out here if you don't want to read a full ritual.
---
“What do you mean Lin is in the hospital?” Selene gasped, unable to believe her ears. “I just saw him no more than...” she glanced at her phone, “four hours ago.”
“Yeah, well, that was before the arrow hit him,” Vera snorted, tugging at Selene’s dress as she unzipped it and yanked it down.
“Arrow? What arrow?” Selene asked, her voice muffled as a new dress was slung over her head.
“The one that hit him in the leg,” Alegra answered as she bustled past with an armful of candles, clearly heading outside to the circle clearing.
“What the hell was he doing to get shot in the leg?”
“Teaching an archery class, it appears someone had very bad aim. One legged Linden strikes again,” Alegra replied.
“That name is because he is the master of Tree pose, not because he only has one working leg!" Selene argued, starting to feel more than a little stressed. “Who the hell is going to be my Priest if Linden is out of action? There’s no one else I’ve worked with enough to even have a connection with let alone one enough to raise the power needed for the circle.”
“Don’t you worry your head about it,” Vera snapped, tugging violently on Selene’s arm, yanking her down in a chair where she sat as still as a statue, allowing the old lady to attack her hair. “Tanzi said she had a plan, so give her some time to see what she can pull out of her arse before you start your panic flapping.”
“But there isn’t anyone here,” Selene argued. “Why don’t we let Tanzi take my place, she’s worked with far more people than I have, she'd know how to work their energy better than me.”
“Because it’s your role, that’s why.”
“But I- OW!”
Vera pulled the brush back like she might donk Selene on the head again.
“We’ll have none of that negativity, my girl, I taught you better than that. You know negativity before a circle is a no no. Just trust the Gods, trust they have a plan and a reason.”
“Linden won’t like that he was part of whatever plan they supposedly had,” Selene grumbled but stayed still as Vera slapped a flower crown on her head and set to work curling her hair around it.
"Well, it's not like he has a say in it now, is it?"
-x-
“I feel ridiculous,” John complained as Tanzi straightened his tunic, giving him the once over.
“Oh hush, you look gorgeous, she’s gonna shit a brick when she sees you.”
“I swear, if anyone even dares to take a picture I’ll make sure that they never get an internet connection again for the rest of their lives,” John threatened, wincing as Tanzi grabbed a comb and a pair of scissors to start attacking his hair. "Are you sure this is completely necessary?"
"Oh yes, very necessary, you have to dress the part, besides, it'll be worth it, you'll thank me later," Tanzi grinned admiring her handiwork. "That bitch is gonna send me a gift basket for making you look so good."
"And there's really no one else to do it?"
"No, I already told you. Linden is out of action and it's been years since she's worked with anyone close enough to lead a ritual with them. You're bonded to her, you're basically her familiar, you're the perfect solution. Don't worry, it'll be fine, believe it or not she does know what she's doing, she won't let you mess up."
"I never thought for a moment that she wouldn't be completely capable and in control, she always is. She may seem flighty but-"
"You don't have to tell me," Tanzi interrupted, patting his shoulder. "I've known her since she entered the craft, in fact I think tonight will be quite eye opening for you. You've never seen her in a ritual before, have you?"
John shook his head.
"Then you're in for a treat, she's a natural performer as well as a talented witch."
"My wife with a penchant for dramatic performance? Never."
Tanzi sniggered under her breath but declined to comment, focusing her attention on the back of his head as she worked.
"Are you sure this is all I have to do?" John asked, unfolding the instructions he'd been given and reading them through again. They seemed simple enough, follow Selene, stand where he was told, do as she directed and only speak when she spoke to him first or asked him a question, it sounded like a standard social event to him.
"Yep. You've got your part of the performance there too, just make sure you give Sel her part."
"Tell me again why we aren't warning her about this?"
"Because I want to see the look on her face," Tanzi shrugged. "I'm old, I have to get my kicks somewhere."
John snorted out a laugh. "Don't let my Grandma hear you complaining about being old, she gets very defensive when anyone under sixty even dares to mention they have a wrinkle."
"Good job I'm over 60 then," Tanzi answered distractedly, tugging at the side of his head as she tried to wrestle his hair into submission. He resisted the urge to flinch and instead focused on her words.
"Sure you are, and I'm planning a career change to become a game show host." The woman didn't look any older than he did, let alone old enough to appease his Grandma.
Tanzi grinned evilly. "Look me up if you don't believe me, but sit still while you do it."
For want of anything better to do John pulled out his phone and did as he was told. It took him less than two minutes and a tiny bit of government file delving to find the truth.
"There's only one Tanzanite Summerland, who is apparently seventy-eight years old."
Tanzi hummed a little sound of acknowledgement as she worked on his parting, trying to force his hair to lay in a way that didn't come naturally to it. "Why won't your bloody hair stay where I put it?"
"Selene asks the same thing, I gave up trying to change it years ago and just work with it, but don't think I don't know you're trying to change the subject," he retorted, on to her game.
She huffed, giving up on the parting, deciding to work with what she had, smoothing it back into place instead. "I'm mated to a full bloodied Shifter, Nikos is 297."
"He's what?" John spluttered, turning to look at her. "That's impossible."
"Dude, you turn into a cat, nothing should be impossible to you," she drawled, her tone implying she thought he was being particularly dense as she grabbed his head and turned it to face forward. "Avery is 413."
"Avery too? What does he turn into?"
"Nothing, though I'm sure he'd love to embrace the bat cliché if he could."
"Bat? Why would h-"
Tanzi raised her curved fingers to her mouth in a crude depiction of fangs and hissed.
John's eyes widened.
Tanzi nodded. "Yeah, and he's still not matured into a fully functioning adult, he'd be lost without my sister, I swear. Now, you've got your words, I've done the best I can with your hair, I think you're good to go."
"What? No! I've got questions, you can't just dump this kind of information on me and expect me to just accept it. I need answers."
"No time my friend, chop chop, it's getting dark, move your arse, your wife's waiting."
-x-
"Seriously?"
Selene couldn't have been more shocked if Tanzi had produced a monkey from her pocket to slap her around the face.
"You think John is the solution to our problem? How? Why? He hates people!"
"Oh hush," Tanzi soothed, brushing away her concerns. "He'll be fine, it's only a little ritual-"
"Little? There's a hundred and fifty people out there joining in!"
"In at the deep end," Tanzi shrugged, "he married a witch, he's gotta learn sometime. He said he'd do it."
"But why him? Is there really no one else?" Selene fretted, more worried about her husband's social anxiety than the ritual itself. "Can't you do it?"
"Nope, you're our poster child, you're the one they came to see, we can't let them down. He's the only person here with a connection to you that won't dull your energy. You know a Priest is supposed to enhance it, not drain it."
Selene wanted to argue, but her friend did make a good point, not that she wanted to admit it. She had worked with John in little ways before, working on his intuition and raising his personal power quicker and easier before each shift he attempted; it really wouldn’t be that much different for him, you know, apart from all the people staring at him.
“Fuck it, we’ll make it work,” Selene huffed. “Did you at least prepare him, even a little? Gods, he’s never going to leave my side again after this. I walked away for an hour and he was drafted.”
“Of course I prepared him, I gave him a script and everything,” Tanzi promised her, crossing her heart.
“Which script?” Selene asked suspiciously.
“This one,” Tanzi grinned, handing Selene a book of Shadows already opened on a page.
Selene quickly scanned through the pages, recognising the revised ritual instantly.
“I’m going to make a few adjustments,” she stated in a tone that allowed no arguments.
“Wouldn’t expect anything less,” Tanzi assured her, knowing that she had won that round.
“Fine,” Selene sighed, checking the time. “Then I guess I'm ready.”
“Good, let’s go,” Tanzi said, draping a cloak around Selene’s shoulders.
“Hang on, where’s my chapstick?”
“Do you really need it?” Tanzi asked, desperate to get the other woman moving.
“Yes, I do, especially as I have a lot of foreheads to kiss out there,” Selene answered, already scrabbling through her bag looking for the elusive little tube.
“Where the hell is the bloody...Oh, thanks, babe,” she said in response to the chapstick that appeared in her line of sight, recognising the ring on the hand that held it. She took the stick and slicked on a generous amount, making fish out of water noises at her reflection in the mirror before turning around. She stumbled, reaching blindly behind her for something to hold on to, because praise be to every single deity for the God that was her husband.
“Holy shitballs Batman!”
“See, I look stupid!” John huffed, his cheeks burning. He should never have let himself be talked into it.
“Rubbish,” Tanzi scoffed.
“Wow,” Selene breathed, seemingly unable to form any full sentences.
“Told you she’d like it,” Tanzi grinned.
“What...I mean...how the...my Gods,” she breathed, unable to tear her eyes away from the pure gorgeousness she was seeing. Her eyes kept darting to a new part of him, there was simply too much beauty to take in in one go. “Wow.”
“Yes, I am a miracle worker, I know this,” Tanzi preened, brushing a non-existent speck of dirt off his shoulder.
“Is that a wig?”
“Clip in extensions.”
“My Gods,” Selene whispered again. John’s hair was now brushing his shoulders, falling in shimmering red waves that perfectly matched his own colour. His usual side parting had been maintained, the extensions having obviously been trimmed to blend in with his forelock, which somehow made it look less alien on him. Her fingers itched to run through all that silky looking hair and she actually reached out a hand but Tanzi slapped it down.
He was dressed in a black shirt with loose fitted sleeves that laced up across his chest under a dark forest green tunic. His legs were encased in black leggings and dark brown lace up boots that came up to just below his knees. He had a black cloak over one arm and a metal headpiece that encircled his head looking rather like a crown. But it was the pointed ears that peeked out from his hair that really pulled the whole look together.
“Fuck...me,” Selene was absolutely stunned, taking a few steps towards him, wanting to be close, to touch, to kiss...
“Later,” Tanzi ordered. “You two have to get moving, I can hear the drums already.”
Snapping out of her dazzling husband induced daze, Selene grabbed a sword that had been laying on a table in one hand and reached for his hand with the other.
If John felt nervous dressed in his ridiculous costume, it was nothing compared to how Selene seemed to be feeling. He could feel her hand shaking in his and hear the way she kept sucking in a deep breath before letting it out slowly.
He wanted to say something to make it better, but knew that in times like these words made very little difference to her. Instead he repositioned her hand in his, linking their fingers and giving it a comforting squeeze. She looked different tonight, he’d seen her in ritual robes before, but this time she had replaced the dramatic makeup she had been wearing earlier with something much more subtle. She looked younger, less sure of herself, with pale golden eyeshadow, pink blushed cheeks and no lipstick, maybe that was part of the reason that she looked a little less confident than normal.
They waited just outside the perimeter that had been marked out for the circle, around which a ring of people stood, others seated in little huddles on blankets, obviously not part of the actual ritual but wishing to observe. The whole clearing was lit up by the crackling flames of a large bonfire, which warmed the chill air to a more pleasant temperature now that the sun had gone down, taking its heat with it.
The drumming that had been growing louder with each passing moment reached its crescendo and abruptly stopped. He felt her stiffen and heard her inhale deeply once more, holding it for the count of five before letting it out slowly.
“Show time,” she whispered, more to herself than to him. “Just follow my lead, babe, I won’t let you down.”
“I know,” he assured her, bringing her hand to his lips and placing a gentle kiss on her knuckles.

Good lord everyone is thirsty for DoL again.
Hmm, are you playing on mobile or desktop? Or with the downloaded version? I’ve been playing on desktop with the regular version, and here is how the save screen looks
You should just be able to hit the save button and it’ll save your file.
The hand stabby bit had me doing this too 👀 Whatever it says about you, it says it about me too dlksjfasdfdsf
Every day I learn more about Robin and realize that I need to play his fucking route, finally. He has a lemonade stand? Why is that so damned adorable to me? And I’ll have to remember that, my promiscuity needs majorly raised so I can get some more events.
My MC is a massive asshhole too because she never does anything to help the poor orphans. I haven’t even gotten to the point where you can offer to pay for poor Robin’s debt. He keeps getting taken away, poor Robin. I am sorry I don’t have the money yet to pay for you.
SOUP KITCHEN? Holy fuck I keep learning more and more about this game, I didn’t even know that was an option. More proof that my MC is pure evil.
She let one of the centaurs fuck you? That kinda sounds amazing, to be perfectly honest. I’ve never been recaptured before and now I might just need to. Although it sounds like it’ll be even harder to get away the second time around. And OMG, missing Halloween is the worst. Those were all such fun events from what I played, although I only did Whitney and Kylar.
I’ve left the tower once but I didn’t go far at all, and you have the option to wait for him to pick you back up. You’re right though, I’d be afraid of Remy’s farm as well. Stockholm syndrome has definitely kicked in because I’m thinking “he’d be so sad if you didn’t come back to the nest, I can’t risk that.” 😂
Oh god yeah I’ve done that before, and the Olde English that the book was written in had me cracking up. I felt bad for my poor MC feeling jealous afterwards though.
LMAO, RIP your free time. I would say that I’m sorry, but I’m really not
😂
Someone else was having a problem with that too! I don’t play on mobile so I can’t really say too much about it, I don’t have an issue on desktop.
It really does start out hard! Once I raised my hands skill and started working at the massage parlor, things got easier, but before that happened it was really difficult to make enough money. And that’s even without trying to help Robin pay the rent as well.
I just chose the “move quickly deeper into the moors option” with the regular move option thrown in occasionally. I eventually got the notice that I was being hunted, and he ended up just swooping down to snatch me up and take me into his tower.
AHHH, hi and welcome back! I know the pain of life fucking you in the ass, I can fully relate and hope you’re doing better now. I forgot that I had vore turned on and got eaten by some sort of snake as well, and I was briefly horrified. Have fun with the trick or treating event, it’s a lot of fun! I chose the witch costume and looked adorable.
Ahh, I’m sorry but I don’t think it is! Or at least I don’t know of a way to do it. That’s not weird at all, I like both as well but I generally play with all men too.
So do I! I miss Whitney all the time when school isn’t in session, and it sucks that you can find Kylar outside of school but seemingly can’t find Whitney. Maybe do that and he’ll get jealous and show up, lmao dslf;jsdafsdf
You are so valid, anon. I pretty much do the same.
Haha, no problem at all! I do believe there’s something you can buy at the Forest Hut that lets you keep your transformations for good, at least I know there’s one with cow and I believe cat transformation. You should go there and see if you can find something! The MC losing their clothes all the time is the bane of my existence though, I hate having to buy new clothes all the time. Honestly though, living in the woods as a wolf girl doesn’t sound too bad.
I have no idea how I’ve managed to avoid it, but it hasn’t happened yet. I’ve gotten the body writing and such, and a few tattoos at Remy’s farm, but nothing from Whitney. He clearly needs to love me enough to give me tattoos, damnit.
Hi there, glad to have you! You’re right, it’s a ton of fun and I’m glad so many people are enjoying it. Check the first ask of this post and I included a screenshot of the save system. Hopefully it helps.
You might need to redownload the version here, if you downloaded the game to begin with. If you’re using the online web browser link, it updates automatically.
The eternal mystery. Everyone else progresses pretty quickly (except Avery in my game, for some reason) but Whitney tends to be slower for me. PLEASE JUST LOVE ME, WHITNEY.
Hahah, I love that little scenario. Isn’t that the one you can also push him down on the bed and flirt with him? Because I’m not a dominant type but that was still so much fun to do.
I love my Stabby Boyfriend, you cannot change my mind. He really is adorable and he tries so hard for poor MC. Even protects her with pepper spray refills, which is truly a gentleman stalker type of thing. He’s even attacked someone attacking me before.
OMG WHY DID I NOT THINK OF ENJI? THAT COMPARISON IS PERFECT.

The Hawthorne Legacy Review
Warning: Contains spoilers
About the Book:
The book was released in 2021 and is written by Jennifer Lynn Barnes. ‘The Hawthorne Legacy’ is the second book in the series, ‘The Inheritance Games’ which is a trilogy. In this book, the plot mainly revolves around finding Toby Hawthorne, who is actually alive but believed to be dead. The book also goes into detail about how Avery, the main character, feels about two of the Hawthorne brothers, Grayson and Jameson.
Plot:
If you’ve been following my updates, you would already know how I feel about this book’s plot. For those of you who haven’t, or skipped to the review, I am disappointed, to say the least. I think most of it comes from my own expectations, to be honest. The first book was honestly amazing and just excelled at making me curious about the mystery while also adding some romance in the background to spice things up and add to the plot. While going into this book, I was expecting it to be of the same quality, or at least similar but that just kinda went out the window real fast. Um, this was mainly a romance more than anything. Like, more than 75% of the book was spent on Grayson, Avery and Jameson. It was painful and it was kinda boring at points. Sometimes I really just wanted Avery to take a moment, figure out who she wants to be with and stick to it. Honestly, it became annoying after a while. I think if this was a stand-alone romance/some sort of Cinderella story, I wouldn’t have been as harsh on it as I am. Hopefully, the last book turns out better and gives the series a good ending.
Characters:
I have so much to say that I have no clue where to start. Let’s start with Avery. I honestly don’t get her. She clearly likes Jameson, wants to mean something to him and cares about how he sees her, but then when Grayson comes around to help her, she’s suddenly like, ‘oh, I’m attracted to him and really wanna be with him but can’t.’ Someone explain because what? If she’s so attracted to Grayson, she should leave Jameson and date Grayson, but if she truly wants to mean more to Jameson, she should try and get over Grayson and set boundaries to avoid anything that might make it difficult for her to move on. What does she do? NEITHER. Did I miss something? Because she’s acting so idiotically about her love life it’s annoying. Next, we have Rebecca. She needs therapy. No, okay, listen. She was treated terribly by her entire family and because of that, she’s messed up now. I really don’t want to see her in the next book, because honestly, her presence feels so unnecessary and just overall ‘why-is-she-here-she-needs-help.’ Idk how else to word it. And Thea. While I do appreciate the LGBTQ+ representation, I kinda hate her. The person she loves (Rebecca) is clearly suffering, so you should probably help her by taking her to a psychologist, right? Apparently according to her, nope. Secondly, yeah, she loves Rebecca, but I question she’s a good person or not if she’s willing to throw out her morals for someone. To be frank, I do not like her. Thirdly, Libby. I’m in a bit of a grey area on her. Like, I ship her and Nash, but also, it feels like the author kinda wrecked her character. To be fair, I have barely any memory of her from book 1, but still, hear me out. I just don’t know what there is to her other than wanting to protect Avery and being too kind, sacrificing and trusting for her own good. Seriously, what is there? Because of that, her character feels so misplaced in a way. I think I’ll leave it here for the characters.
My Thoughts Overall:
Honestly, at this point, I’m just done. I have no idea what to expect from the next book and I’m clearly disappointed in this one, but I think I might have expressed that already. Um, to be honest, Max and Xander were really the only characters of this book I enjoyed reading about, everyone else was...no. As I said in one of my updates, things, other than the romance, were rushed quite a bit, so that kinda wrecked the book. Would I read it again? No, at least not unless I re-read the entire series. Would I recommend it? Depends. If the last book turns out good, then yes, I would encourage you to read it along with the other two books, but if it doesn’t, then honestly, I wouldn’t. So far, only the first book has been worth reading, at least if we’re talking about them as a series.
P.S. I've been running out of reading material lately, so let me know if there's a book or book series you'd like me to try/review.

Review: The Hawthorne Legacy by Jennifer Lynn Barnes
I read and adored The Inheritance Games last year and I was looking forward to its sequel. There were still some unanswered questions to be tied up in this book and I’m glad we got to the bottom of those mysteries.
Avery Grambs is the heir to the Hawthorne fortune, much to the dismay of his family. But she still needs to find the man who might be able to tell her exactly who she is and why she has been left with everything. There are still more puzzles to solve, deadly threats to dodge and Avery is still being pulled between Grayson and Jameson Hawthorne -two of the brothers who dominate her headspace.
I really enjoyed being back at Hawthorne House. It suits the enigmatic, cerebral Hawthorne family perfectly and it almost definitely has as many secrets as they do. The corridors seem to go on forever and every wing is steeped in history. It seems that there’s a mystery around every single corner and doorway and for someone who craves intellectual stimulation, it’s a complete haven.
Avery also has to deal with figures from her past wanting something from her now that she is a billionaire -namely her deadbeat father Ricky Grambs. Avery is smart enough to know what his game is but he certainly tries his best to appeal to her softer side. I guess this is part of the reality of being rich and powerful and adds to the dramas that Avery now has to endure.
There are also multiple violent threats thrown Avery’s way. Skye Hawthorne, the brothers’ mother, is chief suspect for a lot of these but I doubt she was behind all of them. Avery learns how important public image is now that the whole world knows who she is and evidently, there are a lot of people who hate how she got her money and by extension, want to bring her down.
Of course, we’re treated to the wonders of the Hawthorne brothers again. I’m still not decided between Grayson and Jameson over who is my favourite. In fact, I even saw the appeal of Xander in this book too, so now I’m at a complete loss when it comes to picking my favourite. I suspect the only reason that Nash isn’t in the running is because we didn’t really see enough of him in this instalment. The brothers are easily my favourite part of this series and I love seeing them tease and interact with each other.
The Hawthorne Legacy is a book full of new mysteries and revelations. It wasn’t anywhere near as gripping as the first book and I was getting a bit tired of the romance(s). However, I do still enjoy the characters and the setting. It did feel like a filler book in the series and set up a lot of ground work for a third book, which I’m sure will be great. If you enjoyed The Inheritance Games, don’t expect as much drama or as many shocking reveals in this one.

First Look
1.) Describe your novel in 1-2 sentences:
“If we burn, you burn with us.”
Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins.
2.) How long do you plan for the novel to be?
3 books if I ever start writing it.

very fantasy with a bit of dystopia in there.
4.) What other stories have inspired your novel?
Avatar: the last airbender, a song of ice and fire, the hunger games.
5.) 3 images that get the feel of my novel:
Main Characters
6.) Who is your protagonist?
it’s multiple POV but I guess for now I’ll talk about Ayden.
7.) Who is their closest ally?
Books! Ayden is naturally a clumsy bookworm and is obsessed with nature, literature and exploration.
8.) Who is their enemy?
His father Averys.
9.) What do they want more than anything?
Ayden wants independence, to exercise his liberties and to be treated like an adult rather than a baby.

Don’t wanna ruin the element of surprise.

In my own little head atm. But the setting is on a continent called the Main Land which is supposed to be Eurasia and a new founded territory called the New World aka America.
19.) Do you have images and scenes in mind already?
yes!
20.) What excited you about this story?
it was the prospect of writing a narrative about those being oppressed in the world via western imperialism. A lot of stories do not shine a light on the consequences of post colonialism and modern day imperialism. Its something I would love to write about in a way that resonates with victims of western agendas + regime change.
21.) What is your usual writing method?
I get a an idea in my head when I should be sleeping, then i attempt to write it down, I hate how it’s written, I cry and repeat.

Going Under 5/-
Paring: Mostly Steve Rogers x Reader; little Clint Barton x Reader
Warnings: angst, fluff, out of character acting, probable smutt in later chapters, sad reader, broken, sweet ending.
Summary: You work as head oversight for the Avengers. After a party and a little kiss, you start crushing on Steve. Only an event from you’re rookie years, is sabotaging the possibility of your crush to evovle into something more.
A/N: my dear readers you get treated on a very long chapter. I could have stopped and made an extra chapter of it, but it didn’t feel good or do justice fort he story. SO here you go a very long ( words) of Going under.
Chapter 5: Call me when you’re sober
“I will get there, you see, I encountered Clint at that party and fled to the balcony. But we're getting ahead of things. I know the story is long, but you gave me the chance to tell my version. I don’t want to let anything out.” You say looking at Bucky. He could see te determination in your eyes.
“So, when I was outside, there was someone else."
“Steve” Bucky clarifies. “Yes, Steve was there too. He also fled from the party. I believe he had just buried Peggy and absolutely no desire to party.” You add.
“We started talking, forgetting what was happening inside and..” you drift off.
Bucky looks at Steve. Steve nods, he remembers that night well. You two had such a interesting conversation. You had such a beautiful charachter, sincere, straightforward, but also loving. He was immidiately infatuated by your presence. How could he have forgotten that. He still remembers the black dress you wore and how the evening breeze had mingled with your parfume. And then it hit him right in the face. Steve stared wide eyed at Bucky, Oh god, what an ass, had he been.
Walking out of the quinjet you look up to the tall building before you. You remembered the building differently. Higher, darker, maybe even bigger, but that could have to do with the bad memories you had of this place. Lexi, Callie and Avery walk ahead of you. Talking busy about there expactations of the party. You walk slowly, counting your steps and your hand nearly strangling your purse. Breathing out heavily, ”you can do this” you whisper to yourself.
“You okay?” Owen asks from behind you. Looking at him smiling slight, “Yeah, I’m fine.” You answer. Owen smiles at your answer. “You know what fine means, don’t you.” You look at him questionly. “Freaking out, insecure, neurotic and emotional” Owen answers looking at you. “Owen, I’m fine.” You smile, but your voice cracks a little. “Come on, lets get inside” you say while grabbing him by his arm. “Thank you for caring” you say without looking at him, you can’t do that wright now, you would burst into tears. Owen was wright, his definition of fine, was exactly how you were feeling right now.
The party was well visited. It seemd like everyone from shield was present. When entering the party, Avery and Owen were gone soon. They had this crazy idea of challenging Thor to a drinking competition. Those poor wretches didn’t know what they were doing. Callie and Lexi stayed with you. When you told your story on the way there, they didn’t know what to say. They were speechless, how could anyone do such a thing? How could agent Barton claim you were sleeping around to get promotions. You were the kind that worked hard and didn’t expect much. After 8 years of working with you, they knew who you were. To them you were an open book, not only were you hard working, but caring and loving too. Your team was a strong team, but it wasn’t just a team, you were close friends to. Owen and Avery were your ‘big brothers’, when there was trouble, the two of them would solve it. Seeing how anxious you were, the team decided it wasn’t for the best to let you wander around alone at this party. Yeah you had a great team, you couldn’t ask for anything more. They made you feel human again, made you laugh, care and have fun. They were there for you, when you most vulnerable, without asking what the cause was.
You were walking around mixing with the crowd. Occasionally you stopped to talk to a group of people. You had an interesting talk with Pepper and Tony about an possible update of your server. After speaking to some old colleagues Callie excused herself going to the badroom.
There you stood, all alone, waiting for your friends to return. Callie wend to the bathroom and Lexi wanted to get drinks for you three. You take a look at where Avery and Owen are. Both have a red face, Avery stands shaky on his legs. You hear Owen talk and know he has had enough to drink. Poor boys, they didn’t stand a chance against Thor. "YN" you hear a soft voice say. You recognise that dark silk voice out of a million. Slowly you turn around. There he stand, handsome as always, in casual clothing and his characteristic leather jacket. His hair in in a messi do and a smile on his face. His eyes, oh, those beautiful blue orbs. He looked at you, his eyes showing no emotions, at least you thought, years ago you could read them, but couldn’t at the moment. You swallow, “Hello agent Barton.” You answer a little bit shaken. Just keep calm, don't get nervous. He can’t make you feel that way anymore. You try to calm your breath and even out your shaky voice. “You look stunning” he says, taking you in from head to toe, likking his lips, hoping you would’nt notice. When he first saw you, you were a girl in her early twenties. Now before him stood a woman. It had been eight years, since you last saw him in the office of Nick Fury. Eight years of guessing. How you were, how you looked like and if you had other relationships. He never stop yearning for you, but he was bound to the promise he made, the life he built, after you left. “Thanks you”, you answer soft. Breath, just breath. You feel your face blushing. It had been eight years, you left all those feelings behind you. Just get a hold on yourself and let him see, he doesn't have that effect on you anymore. “So how are things going?” Clint ask while fidling with his weddingband. You look at his hand. He never wore his weddingband before, not while he was in the compound nor during his missions. It felt odd to see him with it. “Everything is oké. You know busy with everything.” you answer casually. “Stil working with team beta on the Airbus? Or did you get stationed elsewere?” he adds with a cocky smile. And there it is. The hint of disgust. The unspoken aqusation of sleeping with your superior for promotion. He didn’t change his opinion about you, it sadens you, but you won’t allowe him to see that. Your eyes harden "I think you're mistake me for someone else. I didn’t sleep around to get promotion." You answer looking angry at Clint. I'm not mistaking. If I remember correctly, we where on a mission and we slept together. After the mission you got promoted too level 6." Clint said mockingly, his Eyes had a dangerous glint to them. "You remember correctly, about the mission part. But couldn’t be more wrong about the promotion." You answer disgust all over your face. "If you would excuses me, agent Barton." you walk past Clint, trying to leave, when he speaks up, eyeing you from the side. " You know I'm an Avengers know. Maybe you could make another promotion." Clint smiled mockingly, hopefully you wouldn't notice the pain in his eyes. He longed for you, but knew to well he couldn't have you. He had broken his promiss to you, lost all trust that Laura had in him and disgrassed his son for having feelings for you. Maybe he was childish, but he would rasther have you hating him, then see that longing feeling in your eyes. Thinking about the way you moved beneath him, made him groan. "You forgot how you made me feel, when you broke my faith and dragged my spirit down. Thank you for the pain, it made me raise my game." You spat at him, looking one final time at Clint and walked away. Once your out of his sight, you let out a shakinly breath. You take a glass of champagne from a waiter and head outside. After that encounter, which you handelt quite well, you need some alone time.
Its been eight years since you saw Clint, three since you could move on and give it a place. All of it, heel he was on your mind the last few days. Getting that freakin invitation made you nervous. But never guessing, you would see so much emotions in his eyes when you said those final words. It looked like he let his guard down and showed you what he really felt.
"Keep telling yourself that, don't be foolish. You've moved on." you whisper to yourself while walking on to the balcony. Feeling the breeze of air tickling your arms. You decided to lean on the railing and look at the twinkling and moving lights beneath you.
"It seems I'm not the only one looking for a little peace." a dark and smooth voice startles you. Walking out of the shadows is no other then Steve Rogers.
“Captain Rogers you scared me.” You look at the person behind you. “Sorry that was not my intention. It looks like we both don't need a party.” Steve stands beside you.
“No you’re right, on this party there are only assholes. Sorry for my language.” You drink the glass of champagne empty in one go. Eyeing Steve, his reaction over his face, “No offense.” You replay.
“Non taken.” Steve shuckles a little. “And your reason not to party is..” you ask Steve, but see the tears in his eyes. “Oh sorry, I didn't mean to invade into your personal problems.” You turn towards the citylights, better let him handle it his own way.
“No, it's okay. Two days ago I buried one of the most important people in my life. You can imagine that I don't need a party. Drinking the light out of me doesn’t work, because of the super serum.” Steve answers bitterly.
“Oh tell me about it. Sometimes you would like to disapear and say fuck yourself world.” you smile, looking at Steve “Atleast I would say that, not sure you would.” You continue, Steve laughs his chest rumbles, it feels good to laugh.
“Yeah i know that feeling all to well..would like to do that right know.” Steve says while looking at the sky. His face shows so much emotions, grieve, worry, lost and mostly anger.
“Who was he or she.” you ask soft touching his hand.
“She.” Steve smiles, “She was my first love and..”
You two talk for a while, you tell about your encounter, well knowing not to name names. You wouldn’t dare to create a rift in this team. Steve tells you about Peggy and what an impact she had in his life, even after being iced for such a long time. You laugh, even cry a little, but mostly you enjoy each others company. Time pases slowly and you both payed no attention to what happened behind you at the party.
At some point you stood closer together. For a moment you looked deep into each other's eyes. It felt seconds like time stood still, until Steve stepped towards you. He took your face in his hands and gave you a little chastice kiss. A little peck on the lips. After opening your eyes, you see Steve looking at you. Searching for your consent, was it oké? Did he cross a line, ofended you, his eyes were stormy, emotions all over his face.
You smile "Well Captain, if this is your way....." You began but Steve stopped you mid sentence smashing his lips in yours. His hands shifted from your face to your waist and guided you to a dark corner of the balcony. His kiss changed from sloppy to passionate. Soft and then demanding. It was a rapture of emotions put into one kiss. The heat rose in your cheeks as his tongue touched yours, quick and electric. Enchanting you over and over again, with every kiss, both of you were lost in each other. The intens and demanding kisses became soft butterfly kisses, just long enough to savour your lips a little longer.
Steve stops kissing and looked at you. He had wierd look in his eyes, what was wrong? Your lips felt swollen from this little make out session. "Well that's a way too say goodnight." you smile looking at Steve. Steve snaps out of his thoughts. "I'm sorry.. I shoudn't have done this." He said avoiding your gaze, cheeks red of shame. "..I... need to go, Captain Roger." You say greeting him, blinking away the tears in your eyes. Not again, please note again. You walk away from Steve, the party and head towards the quinjet. You couldn't stay any longer on this party. It was full of assholes.
She watched you leave, anger all over her face. How dare you kiss Steve. How dare you invade in this relationship she is trying to built. She wants him for herself and you interfering with that plan, was something she didn't thought about. Good thing she had an ace up her sleeve.
“So that was my first meeting with Captain America.” You look at Bucky, the pain all over your face. “As if it wasn't enough for one of you to fool me, another one was added. Just when I started to get a little hope, he undid it with one sentence. I was foolish, thinking that someone was genuinely interested in me.” Wiping away your tears, telling your side of the story evoked so many emotions.
“Yn stop it, that’s nonsense.” Bucky says angry, “If I thought about you in that way, I wouldn’t bother asking you, your side of the story. I’m sorry for that ass of a best friends. They way he reacted is not okay.” Bucky said smiling mockinly, taking a slight glance at Steve.

Chapter 7. Revenge
I do not own Harry Potter or the Characters created by Rowling
(Chapter 1, Chapter 2, Chapter 3, Chapter 4, Chapter 5, Chapter 6, Chapter 8, Chapter 9, Chapter 10, Chapter 11, Chapter 12, Chapter 13, Chapter 14 )
Chapter 7. Revenge
Albus sighed as he listened to Professor Patil drone on about the duel between Albus Dumbledore and Gerrit Grindelwald. He didn’t really care about something that happened over a hundred years ago. Especially when it had to do with one of his namesakes. He felt Anneliese nudge his side. When he looked over to her she nodded her head to Professor Patil who was looking at him expectantly. “Mr. Potter, are you going to answer my question?”
“May you repeat the question?”
She sighed, “20 points from Slytherin due to Mr. Potter not paying attention in class.”
“Please just repeat the question, I might surprise you with what I know.”
She crossed her arms, “I said, what year did the duel happen?”
Albus smirked, “Well, if it is the one that killed Dumbledore's sister then it was 1900, but if it was the one that was just Dumbledr and Grindelwald, then it was 1945.”
She gave a look of surprise over the fact that he knew the answer. He resisted the urge to roll his eyes, “Well...this marks the end of class for today I will see you all on Thursday, have a good rest of your day.”
Everyone got up and left the room. “Everything okay Al? You never look so out of it in class.”
Albus looked over at Scorpius, “I guess I’m just tired, y’know? Plus, Professor Patil hates me because she’s bitter over how my dad treated her at the Yule Ball back in the 4th year apparently.”
“That’s pitiful.”
He nodded, “I know, but hey, better than hating me for a real reason, isn’t it?”
“True there Albus.”
Anneliese shook her head and muttered a simple, “Boys.” As they entered the greenhouse for Herbology.
----------------------------------------
“--Well maybe you shouldn’t be such a dick James Sirius Potter!”
Albus stopped walking when he heard a girl's voice yell his brother's name. “I’m just being honest! You’re a lousy and horrible kisser!”
He heard the girl scoff, “And that gives you the right to cheat on me?”
“That’s not what I meant?!”
“Then what is it?!”
Before he allowed it to go any further Albus walked over to where he heard their voices. In a mocking voice he spoke, “Yeah Jamie, what was it?”
Jame’s head snapped towards Albus, “Stay out of this you snake!”
The girl only glared at James, “And is that any way to speak to your brother? I have a sister in Slytherin! They aren’t as bad as you think!”
James turned to the girl, “He’s friends with a Malfoy and Green! They’re horrible people!”
“My sister is dating a Green and he is nothing but nice to her! I have met the girl he is friends with and she is the sweetest kid ever! And as for him being friends with a Malfoy? So fucking what? Why does it matter? At least he isn’t a dick to everyone who isn’t in his house!” She turned on her heel and started to walk, but before she disappeared from behind the corner she turned back to James, “We’re through Potter.”
When James turned back to Albus, his face was red with fury. “How dare you! How dare you get into business that didn’t involve you! How dare-”
“How dare I what James? How dare I be a Slytherin? How dare I make friends with my housemates? How dare I agree with a girl that you’re a horrible person? How dare I be me?”
“No, how dare you call me your brother. As far as I’m concerned, all I have is a little sister.” James turned and began to walk away.
Albus just stood there, unable to move, unsure of what to say. But soon he heard the familiar voice of the Headboy, Aidan Green. “Potter! Curfew for you is in 10 minutes. Get back to the common room.” Albus looked over at him, “Hey kid, everything okay?” Albus nodded and started to walk towards the dungeons, “Hang on, just in case you’re late, lemme walk with you.” He didn’t say anything and just continued to walk to the common room.
“Quidditch.” Aidan turned to Albus and spoke, “Are you sure you’re alright?” He nodded and slipped into the common room.
However, almost as soon as he did he heard the ever worried voice of Anneliese, “Albus? What happened?”
“Nothing, honestly.”
“Okay, if you say something. You were late, imagine if you ran into Dominick or another house prefect? Imagine what could’ve happened.”
Albus shrugged, “I probably would have earned a detention and lost us some points.”
“Yeah Potter, how ‘bout you don’t do that-”
“-We do it enough.”
Anneliese rolled her eyes at her brothers, “You two are dumbasses. I’m surprised that you haven’t gotten suspended yet.”
“We just haven’t laid the correct prank yet.” Randolph nodded at his twins’ statement.
“No, you’re just lucky that for your whole school year the Headboy or Headgirl has been a Slytherin.”
Liam smirked, “That to sis.”
Instead of listening to the conversation the siblings were getting themselves into like he usually did he walked over to the stairs and up to the dorm room. Opening the door he walked over to his bed and fell face forward onto it. Soon feeling the comfort of sleep wrapping him.
----------------------------------------
Albus was surprised he woke up to his curtains closed. He however, wasn’t surprised that he woke up sore. When he asked Scorpius why his curtains were closed he just replied saying, “You were passed out and I figured you would feel better with them closed. You seemed emotionally drained when you came into the common room last night.”
He wasn’t surprised when he saw his parents owl that morning too. Even though she didn’t say, he knew Professor Patil was going to write to them. That’s how she was. She wrote to your parents if she had taken points away or she had given you a detention, which she did, often. Especially to Slytherins. Sometimes Albus questioned who hated Slytherins more, her or James.
He never told Scorpius or Anneliese what happened that night. But they noticed how three was much more tension with the two of them. Neither commenting on it because they didn’t want to risk him blowing up on them. The girl, who ended up being a 4th year Ravenclaw, began to make this wild story about how James had attacked her. She even got away with it as she went to Professor Patil with fake injuries that she either gave to herself or had used something from Weasley Wizards Wheezes. No one noticed and James was on thin ice due to getting in a fight with a group of Slytherins while on the train back to Hogwarts after break.
----------------------------------------
Albus groaned and laid his head on his Transfiguration textbook, “Why are teachers loading us with so much homework? Exams aren’t until another...4 months!”
Anneliese rolled her eyes, “It’s not that bad Al, lemme see what you’re doing.” She grabbed the textbook from under him, causing him to slam his head down onto the table. “Albus Severus Potter! This was due today! It’ll be late when you turn it in!”
“It’s not my fault you got sick and couldn’t help me!” He wasn’t wrong, she had gotten sick and had to stay in the Hospital Wing for a few days.
“Well it’s not my fault you’re bloody stupid!” She got up and slammed her book close, beginning to walk away.
“Where’re you going?”
She turned back to the two boys, glaring at the younger, “Somewhere away from you!”
She stormed out of the room and the two boys looked at each other. “She needs to sort out her priorities.”
Scorpius hit Albus over the head with his Potions book, “No, you need to not be a git.”
----------------------------------------
Anneliese ignored the Albus and Scorpius for about a week. When asked why she was, she just said Albus was being a stupid git. While it wasn’t a lie, it also wasn’t the full truth.
However, currently the boys were laying on the grass near the black lake. Under an old tree. While she was laying in the tree. She had a copy of Quidditch Through The Ages in her hand while they were talking about the Arrows last quidditch game. “He caught the snitch way too early. They should’ve waited until they were at least 100 points ahead, they barely even won.”
Scorpius nodded at Albus’s comment, “I think he caught it so they wouldn’t embarrass themselves any further.”
They saw the upside down head of their friend before she spoke, “Are they having a bad season or something?”
“They haven’t had a good season since Baley became the manager.” She nodded and flipped herself out of the tree. “And since Baley makes the plans, he also controls who can join the team. Then he added Johnson and my god, Johnson is the worst Seeker ever! You could play better than him even L!”
She sat down next to the boys, “That says a lot if you believe I would be a better player than him.”
“Exactly.”
“Hey! Snakes!” The three kids looked over and saw Matthew Creevey, Fred Weasley II, and of course, James Sirius Potter srtutting over to them. They stood up and got ready to grab their wands. Knowing that it would be useless as they three Slytherins didn’t know half as much as the three Gryffindors did. “Go tell that Way girl to give us our points back!”
The two boys looked confused, until Anneliese spoke up. “You asses deserved it! You beat up a 12 year old who did nothing!”

Flashback
Everyone in the Slytherin common room ran over to the young Avery girl. Her dark black hair was clinging to her face most likely due to the obvious amount of blood trickling down her face. She was limping in, clutching her side, Blood, not only seeping through her fingers and onto the floor from her side, but from her nose too. Her elder siblings, Oliver and Olivia, reached their sister quickly. Castanova not far behind them.
Murmurs went around, people asking for what happened, others asking if she was okay. She didn’t say anything besides three last names. Creevy, Weasley, and Potter. Castanova looked to her siblings, “Take her to the Hospital Wing, I’m going to pay those Gryffindors a little visit.” She turned to Aidan, “Go tell Professors Slughorn, Longbottom, and McGonagall that those three students beat up a first year.” He nodded and ran out the door after the Avery’s left with their sister.
Albus and Scorpius were just coming down the stairs and saw the hoard of Slytherins near the door. Anneliese ran over to them, “Holly, got beat up by Creevy, Potter, and Weasley.”
“Matthew, Fred, and James?” Scorpius inquired.
“I guess, obviously yes for Potter, but for Creevey and Weasley, I assume. He hangs around them the most.” She looked at Albus, “Al? You okay?”
He nodded. He knew James and a horrible person, but he never thought he would beat up a defenseless kid.
End of Flashback
----------------------------------------
“She’s a snake just like you three! She didn’t have to do anything for us to have a reason!”
“You beat up a kid who is now too terrified to speak to anyone!”
“Oh how about you shut up Green! You’re just like your brother! You don’t know how to shut your mouth!”
“That’s rich coming from you Weasley.”
“Oh yeah? Well, how about this, Langlock!”
When she tried to speak, she couldn’t as her tongue was glued to the top of her mouth. “What the hell did you just do Fred?!”
Fred didn’t say anything, instead it was James. “You should know that spell. After all, it was created by the person you’re named after. Severus Snape.”
Albus clenched his fists before raising his wand, “Slugulus Eructo!” A jet of green light hit Fred and soon after he began to vomit slugs.
James glared at Albus, “You’ll pay for that!” He turned back to Fred and helped him up, “C’mon let’s get you to Madam Pomfrey.” The two 3rd years carried the other 3rd year up to the hospital wing. Some students were watching in wonder, others in disgust.
Albus turned to his friend, “Let’s take her to one of the older students, I don’t want Pomfrey to ask any questions.” They nodded and walked down to the dungeons, stopping at the opening to the common room, “Salazar Slytherin.” The wall opened and they walked into the room, immediately seeing a group of 7th years sitting at a table. “Castanova?”
The blonde haired girl looked over and smiled, “Hey kids, what’s up?”
“Do you know the counterspell to Langlock?”
“Langlock? I’ve never heard of it. You guys?” The other 7th years shook their heads, “What does it do? Maybe I can use a different counterspell.”
“Her tongue is glued to the top of her mouth.”
“Okay, Anneliese, come here.” The younger girl walked over, “Now you understand that if this doesn’t work it could cause you some severe damage?” She nodded, “Okay.” She muttered a counterspell, “Now try.”
“That was rather uncomfortable.” The 7 students smiled, “It worked! Thanks Cassy!”
“No problem, besides, we’re probably going to be in-laws by next year.”
“Are you saying?!” She nodded, “Oh my god, he really did? Congrats!”
“Thank you, we want to keep it on the down low because we don’t want our parents finding out before we want them to. Specially since my mum works here.”
Anneliese nodded, “Of course, I promise I won’t tell a soul.”
“Good, now you kids go and run along.”
The three first years nodded and walked away. “That was exhilarating, wasn’t it?”
“Exhilarating? I was scared you’d never be able to speak!”
“Oh please Scorp, do you really think that would have happened?”
“I won't deny, I was a little nervous too.”
She rolled her eyes, “You two are hopeless.”
Albus laughed softly and wrapped his arm around her, “Excuse me for actually caring about you.”
