Constructicons x Reader

• “Thank you?” Part of you wants to ask if they’d hurt anyone stealing this stuff for you, but honestly? You’re scared to. Because it looks like Long Haul and Bonecrusher probably went on a crime spree. And Bonecrusher just keeps producing stuff out of nowhere to add to the pile. Food, clothes, small electronics, soaps and candles. Maybe they’d just demolished a mall? They mean well and they’re trying to take care of you, but you really hope they didn’t hurt anyone. Even as a guilty part of you is ridiculously excited about the food and soap.

• Bending, Long Haul begins setting your new things in the mini habsuite they’d made you. Noting that Scrapper and Scavenger had been busy while he’d been out and had tapped into the base water lines to make you a tiny wash rack and waste disposal area. Your little habitat now even bigger as they all keep adding to it. “You needed food and human stuff,” Long Haul mutters, embarrassed when you offer him a small smile. And it’s not like he’d minded. Getting to really let loose and destroy things had felt good. Freezing when you limp closer and lay a soft hand on his ped, he hesitantly brushes a servo over your head before turning away. “It’s either feed you or watch you die,” he adds gruffly, uncomfortable with your affection.

• Venting as you smile up at Long Haul, Bonecrusher reaches to gently scoop you up. Feeling little hands on his servos as he carries you over to his berth and lays back carefully rubbing your jaw. So small you feel insubstantial in his hands, and something about that fragility fascinates him. “You missed us?” He asks, stilling as you grab his servo and smile up at him like you’re not the least bit frightened. That trust shocking him. How can you be so small and not cower?

• Watching Long Haul pimping out your alien, Barbie dream house, you wrap your arms around Bonecrusher’s servo to keep him from petting from neck to navel and further south. It’s not like he knows better or means anything by it, but putting a stop to it as quickly as possible seems a smart move. “It was quiet,” you say opting for honesty. Because the six of them are constantly laughing and jostling each other. Loud and raucous in a way that reminds you of a frat house. Complete with the alcohol, or high grade as they’d called it. After realizing you’re safe as long as you play along at being their collective pet, you’d started consciously trying to make friends. After all, your survival depends on them.

• “Must have been boring,” Long Haul calls from the floor as he arranges boxes of food stuffs in a tidy pile in a corner. You’ll need storage space so this stuff isn’t just lying around. “I’m thinking cabinets and shelves,” he adds, looking at where Mixmaster and Hook are working on reports. Waiting for Mixmaster to vent at him, but set aside his report to help.

• Glancing at his brothers fussing with your space again, Hook checks on you and Bonecrusher. Making sure the much bigger mech isn’t being too rough with you, but so far he’s been shockingly gentle. And right now the huge mech is making a grumbling purr of his engines at you. Something he’d call out anyone else for. Getting punched in the face by Bonecrusher not exactly on his to do list, though, because his brothers definitely don’t warrant the same gentleness you do.

you know what fine. they cant hurt me here [closes my eyes] if u asked me how i would do the tos g1 crossover like. heres a thought. start it with the enterprise meeting the decepticons. and contrive a reason that megatron decides to trick them instead of outright destroy them. maybe he can put together these arent regular humans they time traveled/dimensioned hopped and is playing it cool. maybe he wants the space ship technology. whatever. g1 megatron loves tricking petty humans who are easily impressed by him being a big fucking alien robot. the tos crew excells at meeting and learning about suspect characters of unsusal bearing and fantastical existence.

the key here is ofc. megatron is excellent at this. soundwave is inscrutible. starscream is great at manipulating ppl for his own gain. but also loves undermining megatron. i would sayyyyy. basically every other decepticon to the letter. would fuck this up in some way. (for the sake of convience its obvious the tf casts MUST be limited in some regard. but take a random selection and its still true. stunticons are rowdy and dont respect anyone. combaticons are fucking criminals lol. the triple changes tried to over throw megatron but they actually ARE stupid. the casset guys are little shits. the only ones i give half a chance are the constructicons cause theyve tricked their own share of humans and autobots. And like. Give em a job to do (handwave. ship repair??) and theyll do it)

THE POINT THO. the vision. is just to use that fact to get the hijinks in. i need a scene of spock talking to soundwave for the obvious logical Science guy reasons. but also while actually directing his attention to ravage (search 'spock and cat' if you require elucidation). the crew management sitaution is out of hand. the rank and file of both factions being fascinated but not really respectful of each other probably. starscream gets annoyed when theres a real lack of treachy amongst starfleet ranks. whatever.

The facade will crack some and give things for the enterprise crew to get suspisious of. BUT. but. the trick is not allowed to fall apart outright. UNTIL AFTER. you get the autobots in there. THIS. is to give it that extremely star trek feeling. meeting aliens inbroiled in their OWN whole situation and determining what the ethical thing to do is. let it play out. its sci fi. we're here to watch. prime directive doesnt apply thats for PRE-WARP species tf doesnt even work like that. space bridges. who knows.

ANYWAY the actual shakeup of the conflict is allowed to be as rote as u like. i dont watch either show for the FIGHT scenes lmao. tho DO get some moral twists in there. give it some pizzazz.

either way autobot and enterprise crew interactions DID happen but needed MUCH improvement. i NEED to see prime and kirk ACTUALLY be warm smart and affable guys who have fun with it. kirk likes books and hates eating salad. and. i dont know how many times i have to say this. OPTIMUS PRIME IS A BALLER. they got quirks okay. its not just blah blah speeches. snoreeee. the 60 and 40 yr old versions some how stay richer than the diluded parodies of themselves they become. christ

obviously again for the autobots youd need to limit the cast. like bee and jazz can be their due to icon status. they are both fun and very human affable. g1 bee also tends to be a bit of a fucking wildcard too. jazz can play 'classical earth music' as the joke goes. etc. but like. OBVIOUSLY. obviously u need scotty and wheeljack to interact. chaos and techincal advancements until before seen. yes they can have a bathtub still too (WHAT. they are destilling. is anyones guess). and thru that line u SHOULD probably have ratchet and bones. bitchy medics <3. they have a similar level of sass (tho i can never peg if g1 ratch is actually southern... if he isnt i request one ironhide and bones interaction for Enjoyable Idioms and Affects Sake)

if U MUST. make it girl boss. for the love of christ. elita and her autobots. nurse chapel and chromia (i dont think chromia is actually a medic shes just blue. but she IS similarly no nonsense) elita and uhura (how the FUCK was there so little uhura in that comic fhbgdf) elita acts as like 'the woman in the chair' to her own squad, check how many antennas she has. uhura is communications. great. ill even allow u a yeoman rand and moonracer. this ones more niche but rand is a peppy and creative petty officier who one time used her phaser to heat up coffee. moonracer is the more trouble making implusive of the ladies, and a boostful sharp shooter. FANTASTIC.

anyway the point is not that everyone ONLY has to hang out with their perfect personality/role counterpart that their ARE such things to related the characters too each other. if bones is gonna be all southern gentlemanly would it remind chromia OF ironhide? would someone charmlying remark they thought THEIR doctor was a menace. or such things.

obviously i have the power of an obsessive brain to make as many comparitive deep cuts as i like. and i wont claim that MAKES a good story. im just saying. if ur gonna cross them over. why not do it with a big pallet of the things that Actually make both good???

(not that im done making personally amusing to me comparisons. like sulu and his plant collection and the nature lovers hound and beachcomber. or adding some of the affectier characters for an old queen off with spock, like grapple and hoist. or tracks just to be maxiumally annoying :). im also completely HOOKED on the idea of pointing out u know. not all the enterprise crew is human. ofc, spock is half vulcan. (this happened in the comics) but... the transformers know about human like aliens? one of them is even DATING ONE which come to think of it. She also goes to the alien design school of Pointy ears. and also. again. dating. making a hybrid tf alien joke about this OR asking mr spock if he can transform magically is personally amusing to me)...

also no one asked but if u want assigned tf iterations to other treks. i think im going cybertron for tng, theres just vibes. ig they can have the whole unicron trilogy if they want. unicron is KINDA like the borg? i mean not really, i was mostly just thinking... vector prime is like if picard was a q i cant explain it. beast wars for voy and maybe toss up animated or cyberverse for ds9. i mean. those are all just my favie favies of all time but like. beast wars they are stranded on prehistoric earth, limit cast, u will be in this found family coworker situation whether u LIKE IT or NOT. theirs tones of WEIRD mysteries to uncover. and. obligatory. turn into a lizard joke. (the swag of bw villians is pretty ds9 vibes tho...). cyberverse is a story about how these are a people who were and can be again reunited and joyful outside of their tragic and complex civil war. and animated is about a bunch of losers who flunked out the Militarized and generally FUCKED UP autobot government THAT SUCKS. anyway. war... is hell

v would you step thru the fucking door with me for a second where we could have a tf st crossover that DIDNT suck ass cause it understood the main mode of opperation for both shows is to having our valient heroes as friends and comrades and yes they must deal with the 'wouldnt that be wild' situation of the week but they also have to. deal with EACH OTHER. and their MAIN. goal is really just to be enjoyable television. which often requires a great deal of well made humour. and often incidentally created a lot of guys and their wives they love so much. Team Ice: Adventure 2, or, The One Where They Get A Dog

Team Ice played a follow up game after their first adventure (read about that here!) and we’re bringing you the summary!

First session

The party wakes up the morning after their adventure at the inn First Aid recommended for them.

Skids has had a troubled night’s sleep as his memories kept coming back to him.

They have the various materials looted from Zeta’s castle throughout the room - there isn’t much space  to step freely. Much of it is books, and also the papers from his private study.

As you wake up the party notices the delicious smell of baked goods wafting up to your room. They didn’t notice before, but the inn is set just next to a bakery and pastry shop.

As Velocity, Nautica, and Skids walk into the shop, you see baskets of bread and bagels and rolls, rows of pastries in glass cases, and in a large, round case, a whole cake, smothered with frosting that rises in decadent swirls, brightly colored in turquoise and purple and blues.

Skids is still a bit out of it. He orders coffee for everyone. Velocity is fascinated by the cake. Not a slice of cake, a whole cake! Nautica orders food for herself and Velocity, who is still distracted by the cake.

Velocity: Nautica. Nautica, look at it. It’s real. Cakes exist!

Nautica: Do you want to order a slice?

Velocity: No! I can’t destroy the cake. Nautica, you don’t understand, it’s a whole cake. Not a slice!

Nautica: Are you going to order?

Velocity: Please order for both of us, I need a moment to look at the cake.

There are a few people in the shop having breakfast or picking up loaves of bread while they’re fresh. One person in particular is notable, a halfling man named Rung, who seems to be quite absorbed in his breakfast, a simple apple turnover.

Nautica and Lotty make their way to Skids’s table. Lotty would have noticed Rung if she hadn’t been so focused on the cake. In fact, she takes a seat that allows her to look at it.

Rung notices Velocity and waves. Lotty signals for him to join them all at the table.

“Velocity! Well it is lovely to see you.”

Velocity introduces Rung to the party. He buys her a slice of cake (“since you gave me cake once”) and she is extremely happy.

“You are my new favorite person,” she says to Rung, who seems amused and bemused.

Skids  “Lotty, are you crying?”

“You don’t know what it’s like to grow up without cake!” Lotty sobs, still looking at the slice in front of her.

“Uh, no, I don’t But, uh, it’s nice that you have cake now,” says Skids, sounding very, very, very confused by her reaction to cake.

When Velocity and the others come back to the inn, they find Roller, First Aid, Perceptor, and Whirl in the lobby (and Orion. Orion came to thank Skids for freeing him from the charm person spell)

First Aid calls out, “Velocity!”  

When Velocity and the others “I wanted to check up on Skids, and the rest of them - well, they were worried when you all disappeared so suddenly.”

Whirl, in the back: “I wasn’t worried, I just got sick of all the political mumbo-jumbo back at Swerve’s.”

“Don’t worry,” First Aid says, “Prowl doesn’t know we’ve left.”

The party and friends start sorting through the loot from Zeta’s in their inn room. Nautica recalls that a symbol in one of the documents is connected to certain old religions, but that’s all she knows other than that it gives off a bad vibe.

They also find orders for construction under the castle. There’s no updated map, but they see information on where construction would have begun. The various plans and correspondences suggest that Zeta was concerned about the security of the castle, and wanted to keep his most important research and laboratories hidden, in a place that Nine of Twelve wouldn’t know about because it did not exist when he controlled the castle. The research referenced includes vague references to the plane of his patron, and also information that Skids recognizes, as being about the enforcers Tyrest provided to the Functionists, and further experimentation on them to improve and reverse engineer them for further production.

Prowl arrives. Skids sees him through a peephole in the door and writes on a piece of paper that they can’t let him see the loot they’ve collected from Zeta. A lot of writing ensues, with the whole party trying to plan how to fool Prowl without being heard by him. Nautica casts featherfall on Skids and he leaves through a window and goes to talk to Prowl. Prowl followed Aid and co. there and claims he was worried about Skids. Skids pretends he still has amnesia and wasn’t trying to hide from Prow, he was just tired and asked Aid where he could go to get some undisturbed rest. He claims he doesn’t know why First Aid kept this information from Prowl. He also says they didn’t find any important items in the castle. Prowl is very tired and buys it.

First Aid leaves, along with all of the people he brought except Whirl. Whirl wants to stay with the party because things at the hideout are “boring”. Skids trusts Whirl because Whirl also dislikes Prowl. While they are sorting through the They stash the loot from Zeta’s, partially in Perceptor’s lab and partially in a secret place Whirl uses. The party also keeps a few dangerous or important things with them.

Then they leave for Zeta’s new construction with Whirl in tow.

The entrance to Zeta’s secret underground lab construction is in the courtyard of his castle. Once the party makes their way through the hidden entrance and down the stairs. At the bottom of the stairs, they find another stone troll. They answer the following three riddles to move past the troll.

You can see me in still water, but I am never wet. What am I? Your reflection

To keep me, I must be given. If I am not kept, I am broken. What am I? Your word or promise

Speak my name, and I am broken. Seldom heard, and never spoken. What am I? Silence

Water room: A room full of water magically kept in place. A mechanism on the far side can be used to drain it. Nautica easily swims to it but isn’t strong enough to work it and has to swim back. Nautica then uses shape water to move the mechanism instead. The room drains.

Canyon room: The room has a canyon, about 2 stories deep and ~13ft (~4m) wide. Brainstorm flies across, tying a rope on either side. Skids and Tailgate cross the rope easily (Skids cartwheels across cause he’s a big showoff) but the rest of the party fall into the canyon. Velocity and Cyclonus are slightly injured. Skids and Tailgate throw down a knotted rope and everyone but Nautica climbs out. Finally, Nautica holds onto the rope and the rest of the party works together to pull her out.

Wolf room: There is a horse-sized wolf chained to the wall. Skids doesn’t like wolves and immediately shoots it, but Tailgate and Velocity feel bad for it. Nautica casts sleep on it, which almost puts it to sleep because it was injured (“You’re welcome! I still hate wolves.” -Skids) Tailgate and Lotty give it rations and Tailgate is able to calm it down so the party can walk by it without a fight.

After giving rations to the wolf, Tailgate decides to approach it and calm it down. He succeeds, so Lotty dares to approach it too. She feels terrible for it and considers healing it, but she knows she can’t spend spell slots or potions that the party might need on it, so she promises to it that she’ll return for it and free it.

Zeta’s Study!

The first thing the party notices in the study is a large birdcage with a young aarakocra child inside. Before anyone can do anything, Whirl smashes the birdcage, and everyone in the room briefly senses Something Important, like something intense and overwhelming rushed into the room. Whirl picks up the child and Skids goes over to check on them. After a quick check from Lotty confirms they aren’t physically hurt, Skids and Whirl take the child - Scrappy - to go look for their parents.

Lotty examines the cage to try and figure out what kind of magic they sensed. This magic feels different from the other types of magic in the room. It has a chaotic vibe.

There’s a piece of correspondence with Caminus that suggests the Functionists might be trying for an alliance.

There is also more Planar research, letters from the Functionists reminding him that they allow Zeta his Patron but he is not their focus, and his to keep his focus on the end goal.

Letters suggesting that he needs to speed up his research and production of the legislators because Tyrest has become slow and uncooperative after the attack a year ago, the one that Skids knows he was responsible for.

The party gets to the other side of the study and through the door sees a laboratory full of what Skids recognizes as parts of the legislators, chopped apart and twisted in various ways. In the center, you see a tank where parts seem to have been cobbled together around something round… growing. It’s hard to tell through the thick greenish gel in the tank, but it almost seems that it could be… orange. It does not wake up, though.

Skids and Whirl take the child, Scrappy, to the hideout, where the charmed guards are being examined to make sure they really were charmed and not loyal to Zeta. Scrappy’s mom has recently been cleared and they’re happily reunited. Scrappy’s mom is still in the process of getting in touch with her wife, who was outside the city when the wall went up. Rung is there and offers to counsel the child if their parents agree. After an insight check, Skids decides he trusts Rung.

After inspecting the cage where Scrappy was being held and taking a quick look around the room, Lotty returns to the wolf. Brainstorm helps her remove the wolf’s shock collar. Since apparently they won’t be fighting anyone, she heals it, finds out it’s a ‘she’, and proceeds to sit down with her back against the wolf’s side and pet her.

“Who’s a good girl? You are!” says Lotty as she pets the wolf.

Inside the study, Tailgate found a cold crate, containing ice-cream and everyone has ice-cream. Brainstorm tries to translate some documents from Primordial, and is excited to study the contents of the lab.. Other documents are taken to Lotty, who refuses to leave the wolf’s side, who tries to translate them from Infernal. Other members of the party

The wolf is adopted by the party and named Luna. The party returns to the inn with their new giant wolf in tow, as well as a new collection of papers and journals stolen from Zeta, and finds Luna a place to sleep in the barn. Skids rejoins the party, having successfully reunited Scrappy with their mom, and everyone settles back down in the Inn.

Prowl stood against a wall the entire movie.

And had a tense conversation with Soundwave.
