The alpha kids and their specific defiance of both homestucks gendered narrative AND real life societal expectations are so fun to think about to me!! but since we are talking about jake, his specific defiance of both homestucks models of masculinity and femininity in the context of his queerness is like the reason he is my fav character.

He props himself up that he wants to be the adventure "hero" in the homestuck sense (the hardheaded blue femme fatale) and the western media sense (the hardheaded action man) yet whenever pressed to actually act on what he says he always refuses or obfuscates. Because really what he wants is to just be himself! I really love the alpha kids because they all just want to be Themselves, not be restricted and defined by what is expected of them, (all the characters have this but the alphas particularly really hammer this home for me)

The heavy emphasis on their beta selves, the heteronormative archetypes they embodied and what went wrong in their lives that manifest as fears in their alpha selves... im always thinking about it. How differently society affects queer ppls choices in life and then the fact that they all get a second chance and getting to watch them live out that second chance and realize their queerness and them all caring so much abt eachother and wanting to aspire to be better FOR the ones they love!!!!!! it always tugs at my heart strings to ponder😢😢

IM SO GOOD AT GOING ON TANGENTS MY BAD but basically. The alpha kids explicit queerness and how despite the comic itself protesting, they are all shown to be deserving of love (of all kinds) And as a person who super heavily relates to jake, his experience with his own identity (and dirks unending adoration and love for him and likewise jakes belief and admiration of dirk) serves to me as a reminder that yknow! We are all worthy of love!! Even if we dont think ourselves to be (this is just the message of shrek.) and there is always hope to be found in things improving!!!!

But in a text thats explicitly queer and not shy about letting its queer characters do wrong in realistic ways i think this message is incredibly powerful and certainly one of the best things about the comic in my eyes. And i love embracing that in my art of the characters! Drawing queer (but here specifically trans) characters all getting to be proud of themselves and their appearances makes me feel proud of myself alongside them and I think its wonderful to be able appreciate other trans peoples experiences and looks through it too!!

I specifically in homestuck fandom dont really see anybody but twinks (usually dirk or eridan LMFAO) portrayed to be fem in any manner 😢 when jake is the most explicitly feminine man in the comic. Kinda whish she atleast avoided the question, maybe in some way that would require actual thinking? For a character like Vaggie, she could choose either way and it feel like it's still her. If she chose to protect Charlie's dream, she would still be perfectly loyal to her but in the act of so would reveal a secret that could harm their relationship(which does happen at the end but that's because the plot wanted it like that). If she chose to side with Adam, she'd be hurting Charlie emotionally, sure, but it would keep a secret that could make Charlie see Vaggie less than who she is to her already(atleast what Vaggie might think would happen). Imo it should've been her deciding to protect Charlie, since it would mean she's devoted to her at all times.

ANOTHER THING! IF SHE COULDN'T MAKE THE CHOICE, THAT IS SOMETHING INTERESTING TO GO INTO. Maybe it could go deeper into how Vaggie doesn't know who she is without Charlie. There's gonna be loose strings I just know it. Hopefully though they rather do that then rush everything out y'know?

I want the next episode to be mostly focused on Vaggie and Charlie's relationship and the healing of what happened. Not for the entire episode of course, it would feel drawn out if it did, but atleast address the problem for the first like I would say 10 minutes? thinking about how cool and awesome moon stone cassandra couldve been if she wasnt given the world’s worst villain motivation

dropping my whole au / rewrote of season 3 below

uh preface is im sleepy and its almost midnight, so like sorry if some parts dont make sense or whatever

uhh basically, instead of cass trying to like reach her destiny or whatever as like her Main motivation and the only reason to why she Evil and Malicious ive changed it so its more mixed in with her desire to protect rapunzel. i think moonstone cass is cool and i like the idea of her but i really just think her execution was poor mostly because it wasn’t built up as much as it shouldve been.

rewrote cass’s character slightly just so there more empathize on her idolization of her mother, and so when she learns the truth of why mother gothel left her, the knee jerk reaction to blame raps makes a little more sense.

Anyways, Season 3 cass deals with a lot of her issues, i think on the journey to get the moonstone something something happens and cassandra is told that if rapunzel comes in contact with the moonstone she will Implode. Like die. Return to being the sundrop. and cass is like oh fuck, shit, balls, I need to Protect her from Dying. So out of her intense Need to protect Rapunzel she yoinks the moonstone, and (still slightly pissed at raps for stealing her mom but not really she’s just trying to figure out her emotions + rapunzel needs to get away away from this rock) she goes into Evil mode.

Her villain arc is partly fueled by her anger at her own situation, always in second place. her desire to feel love and cherished and important rather than being the 2nd option. However, it is also fueled by her need to provide safety to her friends ,, even if it’s not the smartest choice. Moonstone Cass devotes her entire identify to being the cliche villain, so no one feels bad if like the solution to destroying the moonstone is killing her. she knows that logically the Zhan Tiri is manipulating her but 1. she idgaf and 2. she needs to learn how to control the moonstone’s power so she doesnt hurt her friends.

Tbh boiled now, it’s just cass isnt obsessive with mother gothel and mother gothel leaving her to kidnap a baby because it made like no sense for her character. like instead, moonstone cass grabbles with her identify and place in the world, who she is outside of rapunzel. Also she wants to learn more about her past, yknow, who mother gothel was and is she Worth getting upset over. spoiler she figures out that no, her bio mom sucks booty

Anyways, throughout my version of season 3, cass is trying to figure out a way to destroy the moonstone. She visits Rapunzel often too and pretends to be evil just so she can check in. She angry at her mom but not so much on rapunzel, maybe a little bit but probably more to with simply trying to crave out her identify outside of rapunzel. Same general plot beats happen in s3, but shes more grief driven than anger driven i suppose.

Theres probably a lot i forgot to like, reformulate in this especially w s3 bc i havent had the time to rewatch it and collect my thoughts that well. But, uh, hope u enjoyed. might yap more about my personal gripes with the show and how i think it shouldve been written.

also to add on i suppose, at the end of the series she gets exiled from corona officially, but lowkey comes back to hang out and after like a year every1 is like yeah okay i guess.

like. i feel like this is common sense but i dont know if people realize how intentional each second of a show/movie is. like whether the show is a silly sitcom or a serious drama everything is so intentional and purposeful. of course theres always continuity errors and mistakes that happen when you’re creating a show of that size thats been running for so long but for the most part everything has its intentions. its why you see certain themes come back again and again. im not gonna get into outfit meta or anything like that because its not really my wheelhouse but i did learn a lot about camera techniques and im a writer so. yeah.

shots are one of the most important aspects of a movie or a tv show. they set the mood. close up shots convey intensity and emotion while more wide shots establish a scene etc. they gave us a lot of close up shots of eddie’s face in the kim and eddie scene at the end of 7x09 because it was an intense moment for eddie as a character for example. you have to get the shot right to convey what you want your audience to see yknow.

so. you have the medal ceremony. they couldve done the announcements for these people in literally any order because they fucking wrote the script. they didnt do it alphabetically or anything normal they literally had the trio of triangulated desire standing in the back with buck in the middle AGAIN while chim and hen were being normal and serving cunt up front. and when they were sitting they had buck in the middle again because reasons. then once they got their medals itd pan to their families and significant others clapping. ofc for tommy they pan to buck because thats the person there supporting him. for BUCK they had so many options. they had bobby, his captain that he verbally said was his father figure the next episode, they had maddie, his fucking SISTER AND THE WOMAN WHO RAISED HIM, and they had tommy, the dude he’s dating. instead they pan to eddie.

literally that is the absolute LOUDEST fucking thing the show has done so far in my opinion. they panned to buck for tommy!!! they couldve panned back to buck or done it in a different order if they didnt wanna repeat so they could pan to them for each other!!! but they panned to eddie and the director of photography was even emphasizing that choice on twitter.

the entire bi arc had eddie written all over it. they had so many opportunities to shove their relationship to the side and double down on their friendship but they didnt. instead we had buck tweaking at the gym where we have no idea who eddie was even talking to on that phone, eddie constantly mentioned by buck in a kiss scene with someone else, the line of all time ‘MY attention?’, eddie interrupting the date next episode, buck not even giving a FUCK about the date because he lied to eddie, the shit maddie said that episode about being confused about his feelings, eddie saying nothing is gonna change between them (which. thats a chekov’s gun if ive ever seen one), and all the entire shit with the bachelor party. not even mentioning the implications of the song choice for the karaoke scene that paralleled madney because we didnt get it in the episode. they couldve completely avoided all of that but they didnt and then when buck is dating someone else they dont pan to HIM being happy and supportive for buck, they pan to EDDIE. it feels as if its supposed to remind us what’s actually going on or another attempt to clue us in

also like right after they had the two who were dating acting as acquaintances. and had that guy also kinda put buck’s excitement down at said ceremony. and later in that episode had buck ditch plans with the guy he was dating to make sure eddie was okay. for reasons i guess. so buddie canon or theyre doing a real bad job at getting me to care about bucks actual man

Green having social media where he posts pretty regularly and since i like the idea of them traveling around togerher i think itd be cute if green posted pics of like scenery when they go new places or posts pics of different food hes trying.

Red only has an account so green can tag him in stuff/to like all of greens posts. Reds acc has default avatar and a randomly generated username theres no way to tell its him.

The only people who follow him are green leaf and maybe some kids like lyra/moon etc. Who also occasionally tag him in stuff/dm him memes or whatever. His acc is priv and if he posts at all its pictures of his pokemon or candid shots of green. I dont think hed really post though he doesnt seem like someone to sit on their phone/think to take pics of stuff.

I also dont think red would particularly like having his photo taken especially as a kid but when hes older and no longer pressured by ppl to Smile and Look Happier/Excited etc etc he doesnt mind as much.

Yknow the horrid experince of being forced to get photographed by ur parents or school or whatever and the cmon smile say cheese or whatever. Horrible. Its more fun to take pics as an adult cause 1. Its ur Choice 2. a/n: yes…. i know yn still thinks of yuji as sukunas vessel but i got tired of writing it, also i updated yns ct (its in the intro!)

youve never been to a sleepover before. sure you had seen them in movies and tv shows your mother snuck inside the clan. but you wouldnt imagine it would be like this. although sukunas vessel was the one who invited you, its not as bad as you thought

yuji grinning at you, eyes bright with excitement. “its cake time! whos gonna help me??!”

you blink. “cake?”

“yep! were making a cake!” yuji says with enthusiasm, already pulling a box of cake mix and bowls from the kitchen.

“come on, yn. youre helping too” (kugi)

you hesitate, youve never baked before. not really. but you didnt want to seem rude, and maybe itll be fine.

“okay.”

yuji hands you the cake mix and a measuring cup, his grin wide. “you just have to mix this stuff up. dont worry, its easy.”

you look at the box, reading through the instructions. It seems really easy.

theres a slight mess with the cake mix, dusting the countertop. you slightly frown at the spilled powder. its not the mess that bothers you the most, its that you can feel yuji and nobaras eyes on you.

“yujis gonna eat that powder off the counter.” nobara says playfully.

yuji glances over, raising an eyebrow in mock offense. “no i wont.”

yuji watches you for a second, then nudges you gently, whispering in uour ear. “i will, i lied”

“i can hear you, yknow.”

…

you think youre done. you hand the bowl back to yuji, who looks satisfied with your work as he pours the batter into a cake pan.

“ill take care of putting it in the oven”

“wow how cool” (kugi)

“leave me alone!” (ita)

you watch him carry the tray to the oven. as always, energetic, to the point of being infectious. and for the first time this mission, you dont feel out of place.

while the cake is baking, you return to yujis dorm, trying to get comfortable on his bed.

the smell of the cake from the kitchen started to fill the air, making you aware of how hungry you are. though you would never admit it. yuji seems determined to make this a fun night for you, talking non-stop and constantly glacing over at you.

eventually, the timer goes off, and yuji jumps excitedly. “its ready!”

you watch as he pulls the cake out of the oven, setting it on the counter, its slightly burnt. yuji still beams. “look! perfect cake!”

while the cake cools, everyone makes their way to yujis dorm again, and you find yourself going back into your previous spot on the bed. the room quiets a little as you all start to settle in for the movie.

yujis the first to sit down, he looks over at you.

“feeling alright, zenin?” he asks.

you give him a small nod. “yes”

yuji smiles at you, looking relieved. youre not sure if hes worried about you or if hes just glad youre finally starting to enjoy yourself.

the cake is brought out, and everyone takes a piece. youve never had a cake that wasnt made from scratch before, it tastes burnt, it is burnt. its not horrible. its fine.

as you eat around the extra sweet icing, yuji and nobara banter about the movie, with megumi occasionally glancing up from his phone to join on the conversation. although it was obvious he wasnt paying attention to his phone.

eventually, the cake is gone, and the movie continues.

youre starting to feel more comfortable, though you cant quite shake the feeling that youre not quite like the others.

as the movie reaches the climax, your eyelids start to feel heavy. you find yourself leaning against someones shoulder.

not by choice, youre just too tired to move your head, so its not your fault.

however, your thoughts were far from relaxed. you had one mission, and you had been preparing for it. this is the perfect moment. your target, itadori yuji, had been sitting perfectly still next to you, probably none the wiser.

finish the mission

you start to wake yourself up, enough to pour yuji a drink. “are you thirsty, itadori?”

poison his drink and wait for him to fall asleep. it would be quick, and you would be gone from the campus before you were suspected.

yujis eyes bright turned toward you, and he flashed a smile. “yeah, can you get me a cola?”

you hum in a response.

you handed him the glass with a steady hand, your cursed poison infused into the cola, and watched as he took a sip.

you were confident in your preparation, poison would take effect in just a few minutes.

as yuji drank the cola, you kept an eye on him, but your attention was drawn briefly to nobara and megumi on the futon.

“zenins acting weird, right?” nobara asked megumi in a whisper tone, though you could still hear her clearly.

“shes just being herself, probably tired.”

nobara wasnt convinced, but she didnt press the issue. “i dunno, megumi.”

you returned your attention to yuji, but something felt off. he was still drinking the cola, completely oblivious to your intentions.

his eyes didnt seem heavy, and his usual energy didnt change.

“is that normal cola?” yuji asked.

your heart skipped a beat. “what are you talking about?”

“tastes different from the ones i normally drink, and youve been staring at me like you wanted me to say something about it.”

you were silent for a moment, trying to cover up your surprise. “i-. i wasnt staring at you.”

yuji just smiled, like always. “im feeling a little sleepy. i guess im just not used to the sugar in the drink.”

you blinked, confused. you had planned fkr him to fall asleep quickly after drinking the cola, but nothing was happening.

“thats weird” you thjnk to yourself, but yuji didnt seem to notice, he casually leans back against the bed frame and stretches.

“guess im just more tired tonight” he was shushed by nobara, trying to watch the movie.

you kept your eyes on him, your mind racing. how could he not be affected by the poison?

you had made sure it was potent enough. your focus was slipping.

you tried to mask your disappointment, but it was clear from your silence that your plan had failed.

of course sukunas vessel, a finger eater, would be atleast slightly immune to your poison, though, you put a higher than average amount of poison.

meanwhile, yuji didnt seem to notice the interenal turmoil you were going through. he let out another yawn, clearly starting to feel drowsy, and its most likely from the time.

“you alright?” yuji mumbled as he shifted, pulling you against his shoulder. “you look like you could use some sleep, too.”

his warmth against you caused a stange feeling within you, but you didnt say anything. instead, you stayed still, letting yourself rest against him.

yujis body was still, his breath deepening as he slowly fell asleep. his arm shifted slightly, now draped across the top of the bed frame, and without thinking, you leaned into him. the warmth of his body, the soft rhythm of his breath, were all incredibly soothing, despite everything that had just occurred.

the room had grown quieter, and before long, your exhaustion began to take hold. you had failed your mission, and yet, you found yourself in a strange sense of peace you hadnt expected. you still had two months to complete your mission, resting wouldnt hurt.

in the background, nobara and megumi were still chatting quietly, but nobara was the first to notice the position the two of you were in. she looked over at megumi, a knowing grin on her face.

“looks like theyre asleep.”

megumi, who had been keeping an eye on the scene, just nodded and shrugged. “whatever.”

nobaga, on the other hand, couldnt help but find the situation amusing. “guess this is how its gonna be”

and so, as the night wore on, yuji slept peacefully on the couch, with you curled up beside him. neither of you noticed the subtle shift in your relationship that had just begun to form, but nobara and megumi did, and they would have a lot to say about it in the morning.

the movie had long since ended, and the only sound in the room now was the soft hum of the air conditioning.

now, yujis body had shifted, his arm draped across your back, and you subconsciously leaned into him, drifting off the sleep.

your head, by accident or not, found its way onto his bicep. the muscle of his arm beneath your head was strangely comforting. his breath slowed. and you couldnt bring yourself to pull away.

“i guess thats one way to fall asleep, huh?” nobara whispered, raising an euebrow.

megumk gave a shrug in response. “why do you care so much.”

nobara, however, couldnt contain her amusement. she walked closer, glancing down at the both of you, watching as you both slept.

you didnt stir, not even as mobara leaned in closer, carefully adjusting your positions so that you both remained cozy.

yuji, still in his deep sleep, barely moved, his face soft as he rested against his pillow, with your body nestled into his side.

nobara smirked to herself before stepping back and taking a picture, her quiet laugh echoing through the room as she whispered, “theyre gonna kill me.”

with that, she let you both sleep in peace, the soft light of the tv casting shadows across your intertwined bodies.

-bro is an absolute menace, he'd lock the door, and would have long long showers himself.

-the exact opposite, he wants you in the shower with him.

i have a genuine question. i promise i am not at all trying to defend him. ive dropped him entirely, literally deleted everything i had of him and unliked his songs.

ive just been wondering like considering that he has been in therapy, and also considering how if he does take a year off and then comes back, why cant it be redeemable? like cant people change? cant we give them second chances? he is 27. is he just doomed to be an abuser forever?

its just scary and im asking as like a younger person who is in my very early 20s. i know ive made mistakes. i know ive not been a good partner or friend sometimes. (and yes i was also abusive to a past partner...im not proud of it and ive learned from it. i have never ever touched anyone in that way after that. it took awhile but my current relationship isnt toxic and i would never hurt anyone or hit them again yknow?) and it scares me that people keep insinuating that he is irredeemable. like cant abusers change and become better? dont they get second chances? if shelby has grown and healed in 10 months wouldn't it be fair to say the same for wilbur?

im just genuinely asking because based on everything i believe you are older than me and im looking for guidance and just...idk im scared. growing up on the internet has made me so scared of making mistakes and doing anything wrong because when it happens to others i look up to, its always treated as something they'll never be able to change or improve. makes me feel like imma just be a horrible person forever because i made mistakes in the past.

This is a really complicated question that multiple answers can validly fit.

I don't think, personally, that anyone is irredeemable. I think everyone is on a journey of forgiveness and some of us may need more grace than others.

This is tw// abuse even more than the current topic, but my mom was incredibly abusive. We lived in a very rural area and she had a lot of undiagnosed problems and trauma of her own that created a pressure pot of issues. After I was born, she suffered through full on post-partum psychosis that nearly ended about as well as that sentence implies it could have. She was incredibly violent, controlling, and cruel for years. My sister went no-contact with her the second she turned 18. A significant event occurred that eventually spurned her into seeking real treatment that lasted for years. It's still ongoing.

My sister is also still no contact and I support her decision 100%. Those are her wounds and what she needed to do to get peace should be respected. I decided I wanted a relationship with the person who came out of all that work and, even then, it's been hard. I don't know if she's redeemed herself, and my god do we still have bumps in the road, but I support her for trying.

With Wilbur, how he responds to this is going to really impact a lot of things. I mean, I know no matter how he responds I won't be going on whatever journey of redemption and healing he has to go through. I'm tired and I feel hurt enough. I would think, if he wanted to show he was sincere, admitting what happened would be a great sense of closure for a lot of people who put time and energy and faith into this guy for years.

Not every person that causes harm is inherently evil, but there has to be some kind of knowledge that you're aware of the harm you've caused. No one is stuck as anything forever, life is constantly moving, and most people aren't saying his life is just over. You can work on yourself. You can change. And I'm saying that specifically to you, anonymous.

(Saying this, actually, there ARE people who would argue once you've done x you're beyond redemption based entirely on their life experiences as a victim, personal histories and many other factors. Kinda like my sister, that's their choice. And you have to accept that sometimes you fuck up so badly that you will permanently lose some people from your life. But your life isn't over.)

But I do think, regardless of what he says or does about this, his time of controlling a large platform is at an end. He can still do a lot of things in his life after he works on himself -- editing, song producing, directing, writing or whatever -- but being in charge of a large impressionable audience that could enable more destructive behaviors is just not it.

I appreciate you asking !! ^^ If ill be honest im very proud of my color choices so i ask that you dont just pick from my drawings forever,,, I encourage you to experiment yourself with your own colors and learn how you like to pick them for your own art, but if you like the colors i use i absolutely do not mind if you test out some of the palettes i use for art for your own drawings and try to study my colors n stuff or use my work as inspiration X] so yeah !! I dont mind if you yoink em but i ask that you dont just do that with all of your art yknow 😭

If you want tips on how to learn to pick your own colors, honestly it just came with messing around for me, but it helps to 1) analyze color palettes you really like and why you like them 2) try out random color palettes from the internet and making drawings with them 3) make your own random palettes and use those in drawings and 4) colorpick from references and try slightly tweaking them to your own desire >:] these are the things that i would do a lot and thats where i feel i learned how to eyeball the colors

okay i decided i wanna replay fallout 3 and really try to uh know enjoy it, cuz i kinda hate it. and i have many thoughts which i shared elsewhere and im barely past the supermarket and i just wanna talk about two comparative moments between 3 and new vegas cuz it was tumbling in my head a bit:

in fallout 3 you go to megaton and likely end up at moriarty’s bar, and when you go there some dude, burke, beckons you over and says “hey wanna blow this city up” to which i, someone who doesn’t care about wanton destruction without any plot motivation, say no. i then encounter the sheriff later and see you can snitch on that guy, so i see where it goes. the sheriff runs to the bar and confronts him and this is basically how it goes:

sheriff: you’re causing trouble, you’re coming with me!

burke: ah, forgive me my dear fellow, it seems there was a misunderstanding.

sheriff: don’t fuck around with me, you’re under arrest.

burke: nuh uh.

sheriff: yuh huh.

burke: okay fine lead the way.

they then begin to head out until burke shoots the sheriff and kills him, and the only thing stopping that dude from walking out of the bar where everyone saw him kill their trusted sheriff is you, so you can kill burke and then it’s just done. i dunno if there’s long term consequences of it all cuz i just loaded a save cuz wow that all was so fucking anticlimactic.

let’s compare to one of the earliest encounters in new vegas: you wake up in this town and head to the bar where a woman gives you some pointers on shooting, then she says go talk to the bartender since you’re new in town. you head back into the bar and the bartender is having an encounter with a no good bad guy. you talk to the bartender and find out they’re protecting a guy who the bad guy wants dead, cuz yknow they’re decent folk. you go talk to the hiding guy and the bad guys want him cuz they ganged up on him and he fought back. you can also go talk to the other guy and side with him and find out their deal, but you can also side with the hiding guy and gather the forces of the town to battle the bad guy and his gang, and then guess what you have the control to stop them and help the town folk survive. and then when you fight those guys you encounter the rest of them out in the world and deal with them accordingly cuz now you’ve got a reputation among them. and by the way you save that guy and he says he owes you, and later in the game you go to his caravan head base and he finds you and repays you the rest of what he owes.

do you see the difference there? in fallout 3 you get basically 3 options.

1. blow up the town cuz muahahaha

2. don’t do that cuz fucking why would you do that

3. try to deal with the guy trying to blow up the town, maybe this leads to a quest to figure out why the fuck he wants to do that, but oh he just kills the sheriff and nobody cares and it’s back to square one.

that’s all. kill or dont kill. no talky, talky leads to kill or no kill.

in new vegas you encounter a situation in the middle of things, you can talk to people and see where their heads are at and come to a decision for which way to go based on that. and when you do make your choice things simply happen the way they happen, there’s no scripted deaths there. if a townsperson dies cuz you didn’t get enough folks to help with the defense then that’s that. but you can actively work to make sure the situation goes as good as it can, and you get rewarded for that not just monetarily but by feeling the impact of your decision throughout your playthrough.

fallout new vegas is about a rich world full of perspectives where you go out and try to understand that world and those perspectives, and you get to make decisions based on what you learn. sometimes it comes down to killy shooty punchy, but more often than you expect you can talk it out.

fallout 3 is a retro-futuristic theme park where nothing matters and everyone talks like an asshole.

oh and fun fact in new vegas, the game where decisions matter and you can talk through situations, you can actually kill anyone and everyone. in fallout 3, the game where the stakes are made up and the dialogue doesn’t matter, many npc’s are too important to die so you can’t kill them. make sense of that shit.

anyway play new vegas it’s great.

i tried to give proper justification for all the pt to have their codenames here which for a handful of them meant their names are just. shortened versions of something else. so crow is short for crow poison. aka false garlic. its a type of flower :3. i mean theororetically crow would be a valid name but hes a rainwing here and it didnt seem like a very fitting name with that in mind? but theres a couple rainwings named after flowers i think. hes a rainwing for obvious reasons i think. id like to think hed have a very light color palette that shifts to this when he gives up trying to hide who he is. youuu can see that lighter palette in the art i linked earlier.

ORACLE!! her real name is beetle but she likes to go by oracle instead. i struggled a bit on what tribe to make her actually. originally i wanted her to be either part or fully rainwing? because i thought her using her camoflauge to hide from people in crowded places could be fun. but eventually i decided i not to do that. i dont think theres any hybrids in this cast actually? might actually change my mind on that to make noir half leafwing but shh. anyways i think a bug is fitting for her. so she gets to be a hivewing. no abilities for her shes just a little guy

(named after the violet copper butterfly). her sisters name and the name she uses for a while is rose (named after the common rose butterfly). i ALSO kinda considered her being a rainwing (literally changing herself to look more like her sister) but decided silkwing was a better choice,,,,, im really happy with her design ok

AND NOIIIRRRR!! i wanted her to be a mudwing as soon as i thought about it for more than a second. design wise i dont have much to say but i think storywise it might be cool if she was an only child and her father (in an incrdible rare move for a mudwing) was actually a present figure in her life. leading her to be kinda isolated from her peers and giving her a big reason to be very attached to him. idk its just thoughts rn. i dont have a clear story in mind yet. anyways those are my dragon thieves i hope you liked them
