sorry 2 bug you about this but do you know when the polls will be published?
i wanted to have everything ready for monday (feb 20) at around noon est but i really misjudged how long everything would take </3 </3
i'd like all the polls to be up and ready to vote on by wednesday ??? but i'll be a lot busier than i usually am this week. the start of voting might just have to be pushed back a few days :(
the brackets are So Close to being done but after taking the 2 songs per producer rule into account, the songs stop right at 62 (technically 61 ??? but someone put in a general nomination for every kagerou project song! while only one was formally nominated multiple times several other songs from the series were nominated ^^ ). if there's going to be a bracket w 64 songs it'll have be a bit longer than i originally expected orz
#asks#anon#it doesn't help that if i wanna have a bracket of 64 instead of 32 i have to listen to like . 175 songs .#maybe less ?????#there are a lot of producers i recognize and listen to but bc i've only ever seen their titles in japanese i just don't know their names#and w azari . azari my beloved but i genuinely don't know their song names#i didn't even know their producer name before starting this orz#so it'll probably be a whole lot less than 175 !#but there are still 115 nominated songs i'm pretty confident i have never listened to .#there are a whole bunch i'm familiar w ??????#like i've know about the evillious series plot for Years by now and could recognize even the songs i haven't heard yet at a glance#and i am aware of the danganronpa fan songs#but if i wanna be as unbiased as possible and give songs i'm not familiar w a chance i kinda have to get familiar w them#and that'll take . very very long unfortunately#i'll probably put up a poll for how many songs on the bracket honestly and go from there ???#if it's 32 it can Easily start on wednesday but if its 64 idk when :(#unless i cave and either decide to be biased or just use a random number generator i'll have to listen to all of those songs soon </3#or maybe since it's at 62 just have a blog runners pick matchup ???#it would be more biased than just picking between songs that were actually nominated but some of my favorites went entirely unmentioned </3#EDIT :: also i forgot to mention but it's not a bother at all !!#i'm pretty sure i said that the bracket would start monday ???? and i haven't given a single update since pretty much fhsdkj#i feel like it only makes sense to be curious about it#also the playlists are on their way <3

Firstly, I'm okay if you call me mirrors. Thanks for asking.
Secondly, oh boy. Where do I begin?
I've tried figure out how I first learnt of his existence before, but I've never been able to quite pinpoint. I think it must've been when I was around 10-11 years old cause that's when, after a lot of begging on my part and consideration on theirs, my parents got me a tablet. Finally! I had my own window to the outside world in the palms of my hands! Now I can watch Chuggaaconroy play Luigi's Mansion whenever I wanted! Who's gonna stop me now!?! AHAHAHAHAHA-
Anyways, this is where it starts getting tricky because I know I learnt of him via YouTube, but I don't exactly remember how. I know some of videos I watched made references to him and such, but I'm not sure what made me go "I'm gonna see what this guy's about!" At some point I guess I just thought "I'm gonna see what this guy's about!" and started with songs from Mandatory Fun cause that was the most recent album.
Actually, I also remember going to my younger cousin's birthday party around that age where we were all able to watch videos on her parents computer. I wanted to play the English version of the Sailor Moon theme song on loop, but someone stopped me and instead played some weird music video of this nerdy man rapping about how much of a nerd he was. So maybe that was the first time?
Actually actually, though it's very foggy, I do remember being 6-7 years old and sneaking onto my dad's computer to watch YouTube videos. I tried to watch Scooby-Doo content and came across clips from a Batman episode where the Scooby-Doo gang was there. I don't know how much of the episode I saw, but I do know that the episode also had Weird Al in it! So there is a possibility that this is actually the very first time I learnt of Weird Al!
You see why I have a hard time pinpointing it down?
Anyways, from some point on I became a casual Weird Al fan. I feel like by the time I was in the eighth grade, while I was still wasn't in too deep, I knew more than the average person would. I watched the Behind The Music special and a little bit of Weird Al Live (1999) off YouTube. I was aware of some deep cuts like Nature Trial To Hell or I Remember Larry and I knew he made way too many cameos in way too many things at this point.
I offcially went off the deep end about six months ago. I found myself in an existential quandary full of loathing and self-doubt and wracked with the pain and isolation of my pitiful meaningless existence. So all I wanted was a little bit of levity during this time (plus my interest was sparked once I heard of the biopic) and decided to listen to some songs again.
Oops cause something, something, here I am now!
Honestly I'm surprised it took this long for me to finally become a hard-core fan. I guess being on the edge of an emotional breakdown was the final push I needed?
It's a bit of a shame cause I'm an extremely self conscious person who lives in a really small town with very few people I regularly talk to; none of them are really that invested in Al (especially not to the degree I am). As a result I don't have anyone I feel comfortable sharing this interest with in my life. Whenever I try to with my friends I get the feeling that they don't care and I just feel bad for them. So it's been nice to be able to be apart of the small, yet active community here. It's been fun to interact with you guys and share whatever random thoughts or trivia I have. (Plus I feel like I need a more laid-back fanbase like this one after my Danganronpa hyperfixation back in 2020-2021. *shudder*)
TL;DR: I dunno, I just learned he existed when I was ten or so and was a casual fan until a few months ago when I decided to go back to his work as a way to cope with my life and accidentally, yet predictable became obsessed.
(By the way I wanted to get something off my chest for a while and I'm going to use right now as an excuse to.
I remember back in March of 2020 when Al uploaded the live preformce of Germs to YouTube. This was the first time I ended up not just hearing the song, but watching the video and I remember exactly what I thought:
"Wow, I liked that song! That was really funny and just a genuinely cool song, definitely heavier than Al's other songs. I enjoyed that, but what was up with that shirt? Why did it have holes in the sleeves? And why were the sleeves semi-transparent? It looks stupid! Other than that, there is literally nothing else noteworthy about the live version of the song."
It's stuff like this that makes my friends suspect I might be ace/aro. Also, please don't kill me! I've come around to respect Germs fully and I promise to never say such blasphemous things again!)
Random Question: When did you first learn about Al and at what point did you fall down into the land of Weird Al hyperfixation?
hi mirrors! (I hope it's ok me calling you that lmk if there's something else you'd like me to call you instead!)
Ok so I first learned about al when I was a kid, about 8ish. I assume this age because I think it was around the time that Poodle Hat came out. My dad introduced me to his music. I don't think he was like, a fan? More of a casual enjoyer. When he showed me and my lil bro the songs eBay and Eat It and Fat and Like A Surgeon and Amish Paradise we were both entranced. My brother was more into him than I was then and when Straight Outta Lynwood came out he introduced me to Virus Alert and I'll Sue Ya and Don't Download This Song and also Hardware Store and I loved them all. I loved the way he made the songs funny and silly and wasn't afraid to be weird. I never really dug deeper into his music than that and for a long while I mostly forgot about him apart from occasionally jamming to those songs and enjoying it when my brother played his music and irritating the people around me by singing his lyrics over the original songs whenever I heard them.
Fast forward to right at the end of December last year. 2022 was a very Year for me and I was looking forward to it being over and moving into 2023 and was like. 2022 has gotta have one final curveball for me. Let's see what it ends up being. Then one of my mutuals on main reblogged the Germs weird al gnc af gifset. And I was shook to my core. The fact that he'd done a nine inch nails pastiche? One of my favourite bands, that I discovered after my weird al days? How had it never really occurred to me that he had an entire discography that I could now explore as an adult with a richer understanding and appreciation of wordplay, humour, composition and music in general? And how had I taken this long to realise how gender he was? How much of a formative influence on me was he without me realising at all? Is he the reason I love Hawaiian shirts, I even wondered?? A couple of days later the hyperfixation hit like a ton of bricks. Like it hit so hard that I didn't sleep at all that night. I was just listening to his songs and scrolling through @yankovic-lovers until like 10am. I think I made this sideblog around the middle of January when I knew that being normal about him was likely no longer going to be an option. Then a few days after that I happened to Google "weird al tour dates" because I love seeing live music and was curious as to whether he ever played live in the UK or not and whaddaya know? He was shortly going to be playing a show of the return of the vanity tour at the same venue I saw nine inch nails at last summer. Spooky. So of course I bought a ticket. And no word of a lie, that was one of the best shows I've ever been to, even with just the seated set. Seeing a full scale tour is now bucket list territory for me.
It's been just about seven months of Yankofreakin' It and shows no sign of slowing. I'm really taking my time with exploring his entire career outside of music and outside of his main studio albums cos I don't want it to end honestly :'). I really think he's going to be one of those artists who's going to become a solid favourite, who's going with me in some way for life even when this hyperfixation isn't so intense anymore. Feels weird to say but it feels like I was always meant to find my way back to being a fan of him, like it was inevitable, and I'm so happy that it finally happened. He's really helped me understand myself and appreciate myself more (queer autistic self-recognition through the sillygoofy Other is a powerful thing, it turns out), helped me cope with what has turned out to be another difficult year, and I absolutely adore the fan community on here - you're all utterly delightful and I'm really glad to have 'met'/shitposted with you all.
I don't think that mutual who reblogged that gifset actually knows it was their fault (lighthearted) like we've never talked so I've never had the opportunity to be like. YOU!! (insert photo of person grabbing cat who knocked over plantpot here)
TL;DR: liked him as a kid, mostly forgot about him after that and then at New Year's one of my mutuals reblogged a gifset of him sliding down a mic stand in a Trent Reznor costume and now I spend my days calling him a milf on Tumblr dot com.
Thank you for asking!!! This is a sideblog so consider this reply to be me also sending you an ask with precisely the same questions!!

2020 Favorite Video Games
Tumblr media
I don’t know if I am an outlier or if this is the same for everyone else but I really did not play a lot of games this year. 2020 was a very harsh year for all of us, especially for me for some personal reasons. So to get to the chase, I am just gonna say it left me not doing much in what little free time I did have, and I didn’t play much either. Usually I try to keep my lists for ‘favorite of the year’ to only titles released that year but since I played so little this year, screw it. I am gonna include any game I played this year regardless of release date.
Collection of SaGa
Tumblr media
By far a flawed rerelease. It’s bare bones: there are no advance features you would usually expect out of these kinds of emulated rereleases like save states, fast forward, or rewind, and there was no real effort made to touch up almost 30 year old localizations that had to meet Nintendo of America’s then harsh standards. This really is just 3 roms slapped into a nice looking interface with an option to increase the game speed (which by the way you better use, the characters walk very slow in these old games).
I am bit harsh here, but only because I thought the Romancing SaGa remasters and the upcoming SaGa Frontier remaster all looked like they got a great budget and a lot of love while this is just another Collection of Mana situation (moreso specifically talking about Seiken Densetsu 1/Final Fantasy Adventure/Adventures of Mana part of that collection). I would have loved to see Square Enix do a bit more for these older games. Or at least include the remakes. Seiken Densetsu 1 had two great remakes, both unused in Collection of Mana, and all three of these original SaGa titles have remakes that have never seen the light of day outside of Japan. How great would it have been to get the Wonderswan remake of SaGa 1, as well as the Nintendo DS remakes of Saga 2 and SaGa 3?
But my gripes aside, these games are still fun as they ever were. Replaying SaGa 1 specifically during the holiday season really helped calm me down and made me feel at ease. It’s easy to forget but even in their Gameboy roots there are a lot of funky and weird experimental choices being made in these games. They aren’t your run-of-the-mil dragon quest (or considering the gameboy, maybe pokemon would be more apt) clones.
Raging Loop
Tumblr media
Perhaps my favorite game of the year, Raging Loop is one of the best visual novels I have ever played hands down. The level of creativity and splitting story paths that went into it is simply mind blowing. The basic premise is both a wonderful throwback to the old days of Chunsoft sound novels while still modern and somewhat reminiscent of both Higurashi and Danganronpa. Essentially you play as Haruaki, a poor slub that got lost in the mountains with no clue where to go until you stumble upon an old rural village with a strange history and even stranger superstitions. Before you know it there has been a murder and the Feast is now afoot.
The less said about Raging Loop the better, although I do want to say a lot about it one day if I ever can write a proper review of it. This is a gripping game that will take hold of you once you get into it though and never let go. I actually 100%-ed this and I very rarely do that. I got every ending, every bonus hidden ending, played the entire game twice to hear all the hidden details it purposely hides on your first play through, played all the bonus epilogue chapters, unlocked all the hidden voice actor interviews, collected all the art work, etc, etc. I was just obsessed with this game, it’s that damn good! And the main character is maybe the best troll in all of video games, god bless Haruaki.
Root Double
Tumblr media
From Takumi Nakazawa, long time contributor to Kotaro Uchikoshi’s work comes a game any fan of Zero Escape or Uchikoshi in general will probably enjoy. Root Double, like its name suggests is a visual novel with two different routes, hence Root Double. The first route stars Watase Kasasagi, the leader of an elite rescue team in the midst of their greatest crisis yet that could lead to nuclear devastation as they try to evacuate a nuclear research facility that has gone awry.
The other route stars Natsuhiko Tenkawa, an everyday high schooler whose peaceful life is thrown into turmoil when he stumbles upon a terrorist plot to destroy the nuclear facility in the city and his attempts to stop them. Together the two separate plots weave into one and creates a really crazy ride. Part Chernobyl, part science fiction, any fan of the genre will easily enjoy it. And hey it’s kind of relevant to include on this list too since it just got a Switch port this year (I played it on steam though).
Snack World
Tumblr media
I was shocked upon starting Snack World as it is instantly incredibly charming, witty, and downright hilarious at times yet I heard almost zero people talk about it. EVER. This game is Dragon Quest levels of quirky though, and the localization is incredible. The game has such an oddball sense of humor that works really well with its presentation right down to the anime opening video that sings about the most bizarre things. Instead of the usual pump up song about the cool adventure ahead we get stuff like wanting to go out to a restaurant and eat pork chops.
The self aware/fourth wall breaking humor is just enough to be really funny, but doesn't overstay its welcome and always makes it work right in the context of the dialogue. And finally, just everything; with the menus, the name of side quests and missions, and the character dialogue -- are all just so witty and full of quirky humor. This is one hell of a charming and funny game and addictive to boot.
Trials of Mana
Tumblr media
Trials of Mana has gone from one of those legendary unlocalized games, to one of the first major breakthroughs in fan translation, to finally getting an official English release complete with a fully 3D remake. In a lot of ways from a western perspective this game has had an incredible journey. As for this remake itself, I really found myself having tons of fun with it. I loved the graphics, and the voice acting while a bit on the cheaper side almost kind of adds to the charm since both the graphics and acting really give it an old PS2 vibe. I know that is probably just more me being weird but yeah, I had to say it.
I really hope Square Enix sticks to this style of remake more often, instead of just doing Final Fantasy VII Remakes that break the bank and involve extensive tweaking to both plot and game play. I’ll take smaller budget projects that play more like the original game any day personally. I wouldn’t mind if they also deliver a brand new Mana game all together in this engine either.
Utawarerumono Trilogy
Tumblr media
This year saw the release of the first entry in the series, Utawarerumono: Prelude to the Fallen--and thus finally after three years since the sequels Utawarerumono: Mask of Deception and Utawarerumono: Mask of Truth came out in 2017 the trilogy is now complete in English. I ended up binging through Prelude to the Fallen very fast shortly after it came out and immediately jumped on to the sequels. Perhaps the best part of 2020 was that I finally played all three of these fantastic games, and did so back-to-back-to-back. Playing the first Utawarerumono was an experience I will never forget, it was like visiting old friends again that I haven’t seen in ages, by and large thanks to the fact that I saw the anime adaption of the game when I was much younger, nearly a decade ago. Back then I would have never of dreamed that I would get to play the actual game and get the real experience.
And it only got better from here, as all three games are such wonderful experiences from start to finish. The stories are all so deep, and by the time you get to the third entry, Mask of Truth, it’s crazy to see how they all connected over so many years and weaved together into a plot much bigger than they ever were. What carries it beyond all that though has to be the fun and addicting strategy role playing game aspect, which while a bit on the easy side, is still so much fun and helps make the game feel better paced since you get to play the conquests your characters go on and not just read about all the battles they fight. Beyond that the games are packed full of awesome characters, and I know I’ll never forget the amazing leads in all of them. Hakuowlo, Haku, and Oshtor will all go down as some of the greats to me.
Ys: Memories of Celceta
Tumblr media
Ys: Memories of Celceta is a full 3D remake of Ys IV, a rather infamous game in Falcom’s Ys series. Not to get bogged down too much into the history of Falcom but by this point they were facing a lot of hardship and had to outsource this entry to other developers, and thus passed it on to two particular developers they had a business relationship with, creating two unique versions of Ys IV. Tonkin House who had worked on Super Famicom port of Ys III with Falcom ended up creating their own YS IV entry, Mask of the Sun for the very same system, where Hudson soft who had produced the much beloved Ys Books I & II remakes for the Turbografix (PC Engine) CD add-on created their own Ys IV entry Dawn of Ys for that console. Both games followed guidelines and ideas outlined from Falcom themselves but both radically diverged from each other and turned into completely different games.
Falcom finally putting an end to this debate on which version of Ys IV you should play have gone and created their own definitive Ys IV in 2012 for the Playstation Vita. I played the 2020 remastered version of this remake on my PS4. I even bought this on the Vita when it first came out but I am horrible and only horde games, never play them. So it was a lot of fun to finally play this.
Memories of Celceta is probably one of the best starting points for anyone looking to get into Ys, especially if you only want to stay with the 3D titles as out of all the 3D entries this explains the most about the world and series protagonist Adol Christian. Beyond that it’s just another fantastic entry in a wonderful series that has a few good twists hidden behind it, especially for long time fans of the series.
Random Video Game Console Stuff
Tumblr media
Xbox Has Blue Dragon: I actually got an Xbox One this year for free from my brother. Because of that I started to play Blue Dragon again and there’s a lot I would love to say about this game. I don’t know if I am fully committed to replaying it all the way through however but I find myself putting in a couple hours every few days and enjoying myself again. Does anyone else remember Blue Dragon? I feel like it really missed its audience and had it come out nowadays and probably for the Switch it would have really resonated with the Dragon Quest fandom a lot more instead of being thrown out to die on Xbox and constantly compared to Final Fantasy VII and the like which it had nothing at all similar with.
The Turbografx 16 Mini: This was probably one of the best mini consoles that have come out and I feel like thanks to the whole 2020 pandemic thing it was largely forgotten about. That’s a shame, it has a wonderful variety of great games, especially if you count the Japanese ones (god I wish I could play the Japanese version of Snatcher included), and a wonderful interface with fantastic music. One of these days I would really like to be able to play around with the console more seriously than I have already.
Fire Emblem Shadow Dragon Never Existed: So Nintendo localized the first ever Fire Emblem game on Nintendo Switch which is awesome to see them touching Famicom games again--I haven’t seen Nintendo of America rerelease old Famicom titles since Mysterious Murasame Castle on the 3DS, but their trailer hilariously made it seem like this is the first time ever they released Fire Emblem when in fact they had already localized the remake Shadow Dragon on the Nintendo DS nearly 10 or 11 years ago. I and many other fans I talked to all found this really hilarious, probably solely because of how much they kept repeating the fact that this is the first time you will ever be able to experience Marth’s story.
Tumblr media
All that aside though I have to say the collector edition for this newly localized Famicom game is probably the most gorgeous retro reproduction I have seen in a long time, and I really spent many many hours just staring at the all clear glass mock cartridge. I have found myself really obsessing over retro reproductions during 2020, and obtained quite a few this year. I really hope this trend continues to go on in 2021 as recreating classic console packaging and cartridges is a lot of fun.

Singer/Voice Actress Megumi Ogata Covers Half Of International Crowdfunding Goals Half A Week
She was Kurama in YuYu Hakusho, she was Sailor Uranus in Sailor Moon. She was Yugi Mutou in Yu-Gi-Oh! You'll also know her as Shinji Ikari in Neon Geneis Evangelion. And, in 2017, 51-year old voice actress/singer Megumi Ogata is celebrating the 25th anniversary of her career! In part, she's doing this with a crowd-funded Animeg. 25th album. On the 12th, she launched a Japanese Campfire campaign, followed by an international one on Miraimode the 19th. Already, that $13,000 towards its $25,000.00 goal.

Project Update: A collection of Ogata-san's beautiful illustrations! https://t.co/civaESdEwP #animeg25th

  From the English page
Hello! My name is Megumi Ogata. I’m a Japanese singer as well as a voice actress for animations. My 25th voice actress debut anniversary will come in a few months on October 10!
Why am I producing an album through crowdfunding, you ask? I have two main reasons.
To provide genuine content to Japanese fans and also fans around the world at the very same time
To raise awareness in Japan and overseas about the current status of our industry
As you may already know, the CDs and DVDs that we produce in Japan are difficult to obtain outside of Japan. I don’t mean the pirated and illegally distributed versions. The genuine copies of our CDs and DVDs are difficult to obtain. As authentic routes of distribution are scarce, fans are generally required to import them privately and pay hefty shipping fees.
We in the industry want to share our music and other creations with fans, no matter where they reside. Fans overseas often ask us about gaining access to more of our content, too.
I spent a long, long time pondering over this issue. What can I do to overcome this invisible wall separating the fans and myself? There has to be something that even I can do, right?
The conclusion I came to was to utilize the power of crowdfunding.
I consulted other members in the industry about my thoughts. Many fans in Japan also helped me brainstorm and search for possibilities. “We want to share the pleasure of receiving something on the day it’s released with fans living outside of Japan”. “We would like to celebrate music and creativity with fans around the world”.
To transform those thoughts into reality, I decided to propose this special project. My wish is for this project to serve as a platform that upcoming generations of Japanese voice actors and actresses, musicians, and other members of the entertainment industry can use to connect with fans around the world. Not just in sharing music through CDs, but also through other simple yet innovative formats.
I also wish my project could help fans residing outside of Japan to gain access to a wide variety of Japanese content. Nothing would make me happier than having those wishes come true.
Megumi Ogata Born on June 6. Known as Ogata, Aniki, Otoko-Hachidan
Ogata debuted as a voice actress in the role of Kurama in Yu Yu Hakusho: Ghost Files and quickly gained popularity among fans. She is known for her ability to voice a broad range of characters and also for her natural performances. Young boys and girls, older men and women, serious and comical genres, Ogata can easily handle them all.
She possesses a vocal range extending beyond three octaves, delivering rich and full notes regardless of how high or how low they are. Ogata is also active as a singer who performs with a powerful and soulful voice. In recent years, she has released numerous motivational rock albums that offer listeners the passion and the gentle push forward they need. She continues to hold live performances not only in Japan but also in other countries as well. Ogata’s newest album “real/dummy” (High Edition) was ranked first during the first week of its release on the Hi-Res charts.
Notable roles: Yu Yu Hakusho: Ghost Files (as Kurama) Sailor Moon (as Haruka Tenou/Sailor Uranus) Neon Genesis Evangelion (as Shinji Ikari) Angel Beats! (as Ayato Naoi) Danganronpa: The Animation (as Makoto Naegi & Nagito Komaeda) and much more.

Well, saturday is the day I await the most. Re:Creators is officially my favourite anime this season (AOTS = Anime of the Season). I am a little late, but well, I other than battling with reality, I spent really lots of time to write this post.
Now, onto this week episode.
And we begin from the hype of last episode! The red-hot-haired guy who named himself “Last Boss” Mirokuji Yuuya VS. little brat “Mahou Shoujo” Kirameki Mamika.
I’m loving Yuuya here. His arrogant tone of voice and behaviour, as expected from a “Last Boss”. And you remind me of Accelerator from Toaru Majutsu no Index, my favourite character.
Though that gangstar style resemble more Kintoki Rider’s form Fate/Grand Order.
Accelerator
Kintoki Rider
I hate dealing with girls who think they can get away with things by crying.
WELL SAID! Open the eyes of the naive Magical brat!
Three…. Two…. On- nihihihiHH!?
OooHH!? What the- TITURIA!? *ahem* I meant “ARTORIA LANCER FROM F/GO”!? What’s this!? The Holy Grail War?
Kintoki Rider
Artoria Lancer
Seriously, you’re identical to her. And what!? You are on that brat side? Then you’re my enemy too. See? Yuuya knows which side is better. Holy, what great character. This series is making me love characters so quickly. Has it ever happened before? I’m not sure (and I did watch a good amount of them).
Sasuga MC. Your extensive knowledge about AMLNVN world is useful in these situations.
It’s just been a minute and I’m so excited, I’m so pumped I actually think I need to calm down doing push ups.
The Opening! My ears. My eyes. My whole being. My very soul is in ecstasy while seeing, feeling, hearing the Opening Theme. i can’t say how great is the OP. I’m unable to express the beauty, no, the artistry of it. So beautiful, so dazzling, so stunning. I can’t seriously express how just the OP is enough to give this show full score (well, actually there are anime where the OP is better than the show itself, or is the only good thing… But this is definitely not the case).

Let’s all listen to the Opening! I’ll never stop saying how good it is. I’m actually listening to it looping in the background.
But you never know what’s going to happen in the future.
Wait, are you saying you’re saving money for the future? That’s surprising.
Military Uniform Kid? Goddess with gorgeous white hair, charming eyes and wonderful power who also resemble a Nazi-Gilgamesh I suppose you meant.
Remaking our world?!? That… I actually didn’t think of that possibility! Holy, if ours truly is the world of Gods for them, then that would be really interesting.
So… unexpected. I’m liking you more and more. Totally different from your appearence. And that’s really nice. Just like Accelerator or Kintoki Rider (yeah, I love the first while the second is basically my saviour in F/GO).
REVISION!
RIGHT! The author should be able to tweak the characters, abilities and everything about the creations. The reason they were chosen? Hm, right. There should be some kind of criteria, I actually forgot such important thing.
A lasting impression on many people huh. So the more popular and interesting the more chance to get materialized? Wait. Waitwaitwait. The more you are known. The more you are likely to appear. Let’s think about it. Isn’t this actually… how Divinities work? I mean, the more believers you have, the more a God should be able to manifest itself and be powerful I suppose (well, this is a setting of many anime stories  naturally, as if I would talk about reality, pff).
Whatever happens happens. I’m going to do whatever I want…
I’m not going to cause you trouble. I’m the kind of guy that never forgets what others did for me.
I fucking love you. I FUCKING LOVE YOU. And I’m a guy. This feeling of admiration… it’s been a while. Maybe from the anime adaptation of Fate/Stay Night: UBW of 2014?
Hou, the illustrator, the co-creator then?
Woah, already bickering? Hmmm. This actually make me reflect on the connection between creator and created. What if… the latter killed its creator? It shouldn’t affect them right? Hm… nah. That’s really unlikely, as there isn’t really a connection between them time-wise.
Yup, a parent-child relationship is what best describe this I suppose.
Warning: you may skip this part, as it’s only the complaint of a failure as a human being, who refuse to accept reality and escapes from it towards the ideal world of AMLNVN. Yeah… I also do believe I’m quite the pessimistic one…
As humoristic (or creepy) the picture may seem, I believe that what she says is really important and deep, although she may have not had that intention… No one asked to be born. Yet, we are asked the unreasonable. I won’t say that I do not feel gratitude for my parents: I will definitely pay you back for the trouble of raising me, but for giving me birth? No. I’ve never asked that. Why would anyone wish to be born in this reality? Why would I want to fight everyday to affirm my existence? To have my identity acknowledged? Why would I desire for a life full of hardships and pain? Haha, merely “existing” is quite hard.
Ahh, screw it. You’re definitely not here to read my rumblings about life. So let’s just say, that this hit me really hard, and it’s one of the many reasons I love this show. Ok let’s continue then. And I deeply apologize if this was a little too… heavy, let’s return to 2D!
Hm, we still have to see whether and how much a creator can affect its creation, what if he changed the whole backstory or synopsis? What if he erased its existence? If that was the case… fufufu… there actually would be a reason for killing one’s own “parent”…
Sasuga Meteora, I too wish to experiment immediately that.
Ugh, how embarassing. Author-san, did you really have to make that chant? What about a normal “fire ball”?
I think the lacking condition is popularity. If it was the lasting impression on humans that choose them, then it would be logical that it should be spread among fans and acknowledged by them for it to materialize. Didn’t thought about the lack of information being a possibility though.
That’s it. That’s the turning point. That’s what I’ve been wondering the most. If a character actually did materialize in our world… at which point of the story would be at? What if the author continue the story? Will this “copy” get updated?
Oh, so it’s from the latest episode/chapter. Huh. Wait. Why the anime? What about the original source? It’s because it’s not popular enough? What if both version came out? The possibilities and questions are only increasing. Christ, how come I’m so philosophycal here, when I need it the most at school?
Heh, Selesia (Selestia? Celestia?)’s reaction at her own spoilers. Yep, exactly. Seeing, or rather “knowing” the future isn’t so good in the long term. Well, if it’s just for a few times or a power under one’s will, I suppose it would be good. If it’s passive though… you’ll fall into despair like certain, amazing and loved by me, characters from Danganronpa series.
Uh, no. I don’t think you can just pretend to not have heard anything. Wait, if you actually return to your World, would you keep your memories? No, before that. You’re a character, you wouldn’t even be sentient at that point, would you? Hm. Ok, let’s stop here. I would like to keep this curiosity and bring it to school.
Wait. Why smell? Because she has been battling for the entire life or because she’s a creation?
16? Quite young. I thought you were a year ot two older.
The moment of truth…
Heheh. When music and insert song suddenly started I actually thought I was wrong, maybe it was really the lack of information. But then *flop*.
Passion in creating a character. I think, that’s quite deep. Just think about the possibility of a creation materializing just to discover it was created in a half-assed way. Meteora… I would offer you a hug if you ever manifested here. Please do so.
Sasuga MC! Impression on readers and popularity! That’s the condition (probably). Otaku tend to think alike I suppose? That makes me feel happy.
Hou? We will see Meteora’s creator soon then? Hope he isn’t a jerk. For some reasons I fear this now.
Hohoh, don’t worry. Even if Souta doesn’t show it, he’s actually very happy to have 2 beautiful 2D girls at his house.
Fate and destiny huh. I… would like to believe in it, and yet, I really dislike their meaning. Saying “it was fate” is romantic and all, but… it makes human actions worthless. I want to believe that the result wasn’t already set in stone, but it was accomplished by my hard work.
Oh, finally. Our Goddess. I’ve been waiting for you.
Destinies… again, huh. I truly wonder how Souta is connected to her. For some reasons I have the crazy idea that she’s actually his creation from the future or something. Too much Fate evidently.
…? ?? Mahou Shoujo is a stalker? Oh, wait. She was kidnapped by Artori- no, what was her name again? *check on MAL* Alicetalia, yeah. Hm? So they are allied, huh.
I wonder how many faction are there. From the exquisite Openin we see numerous characters.
Now, Souta won’t return to his dull daily life, will he? Maybe he will bump into another creation?
I await next saturday like Gasai Yuno await for Amano Yukiteru. If you do not know about them, I suggest trying to see Mirai Nikki.
Umu, and thus this long, very long, post finishes. I think this is the longest as for now.
No matter what. I can’t stop singing praise to Re:Creators. I truly do love this series. My love for this show is trascending my mortal limits.
But this is also worrysome. I’m getting scared of the future. I have great expectations for this series. What if… what if the show won’t live up to my huge expectations? I just have to deal with it.
So, yeah. You won’t get a score lower than 10/10 from me. But I am totally aware of how biased this is. I am easily satisfied, and this show simply hit almost all of my weakpoints. I’ll definitely try to revise my scoring after the anime ends.
But for now…
You’re perfect! Izanagi approves and recommends it!
…you might know that “Izanagi” is actually my username. If you didn’t… well you now know.
Oh and, by the way, it seems like we now have all the translated glitchy text that appeared on the table in Episode 1 thanks to a kind and bored redditor.
Read a post of almost 2000 words where I sing praises about Re:Creators episode 3! Well, saturday is the day I await the most. Re:Creators is officially my favourite anime this season (AOTS = Anime of the Season).

Fan Get In The Robot As Singer/Voice Actress Megumi Ogata More Than Doubles Crowd-Funding Goal!
She was Kurama in YuYu Hakusho, she was Sailor Uranus in Sailor Moon. She was Yugi Mutou in Yu-Gi-Oh! Oh, and she was Shinji Ikari in an obscure anime called Neon Geneis Evangelion.
