Of course I never start it, Van hates me as much as I hate her, if not more so. Me and Natalie are in the locker rooms getting ready to play when Van and tai start snickering as us before barging into me as they walk past, "bitch" I mumble as she moves away from us. "Why do you two hate each other so much anyway, it kinda came out of no where" Natalie speaks. She's kinda right me and Van used to be friends, not even that long ago before she started acting all mean and better then me, i actually started to like her before all this, I assumed it was because she got friends with tai and I became friends with Nat so she just didn't need me anymore but really I'm not sure. "I don't even know she just hates my guts" I reply sounding slightly sadder then I meant to, i dont really want to let Nat into the labyrinth that is mine and vans relationship. "Yeah I'm sure" the blond speaks back sarcastically, looking at me curiously. " guys come on your late!" Jackie shouts through the locker room, saving me from Nats interrogation.

Everyone gathered round coach listening to him tell us about how practice was gonna run, doing a skirmish (meaning a practice game) so we get put into two groups, unfortunately me and nat got split up and she was on vans team, meanwhile tai was on mine. We all got into position and coach martinez blew the whistle. We'd played for a while when I got the ball I'm on attack so I ran with it getting into the box and getting ready to strike, I pretended to kick the ball one way, leading to van leaping towards that side, before moving  and hitting it in the other side of the net, successfully scoring! Everyone on my team ran towards me and cheered whilst tai rolled her eyes and Nat smiled at me. It was all going great until a certain redhead started screaming about how I'm a "fucking cheat" and cant play soccer. Usually this wouldn't have bothered me but come on she's been bitching all day, I walked over to her before saying "god sore looser much?" To the very angry goalie. She started toward me "oh yeah well at least I'm not the one who cries whenever she gets out on a team without her fuck buddy" she screams, making me confused as Nat and Lottie came between us, coach blowing the whistle loudly to get our attention. "Y/l/N, PALMER GO GET CHANGED YOU'RE DONE FOR THE DAY UNTIL YOU CAN WORK AS A TEAM" he booms.

I sigh before heading towards the locker rooms, Van trailing behind me. When we get through the doors I can't help but ask "what did you mean back there about the fuck buddy thing?" I question directed at the red head sat on the bench. "Oh what you think no one can see what's going on between you and Nat" she spits. "Huh?" I say starting to giggle, does she think there's something going on between me and Nat? "We're just friends, honestly" I say. " and for the record I don't cry when we get put on different teams, I just don't like being put on a team with people who hate me with no backup". She looks up at me, now it's her turn to question " your seriously just friends? And what do you mean people who don't like you, has someone said something?" she starts becoming almost protective. "Yeah you Van, and taissa. You've both been pretty mean to me you know". "Yeah well you haven't exactly been the easiest to deal with either", now I can't really argue with that. " okay fair, what even happened to us, we used to be like best friends" I say, feeling a little sad that the girl whom I not only loved as a friend but I really started to like more then that. " I didn't think you like me anymore and to be fair you did kinda replace me with Nat" "not really you kinda replaced me with tai, and anyway didn't you think Nat and i where dating or even just fucking, can I not be friends with you and someone else, or better yet fuck someone else; that's not even interfering with us or our dynamic" i state laughing a little, did she really think I was replacing her?. She stares at the ground before opening her mouth "y/n" she whispers, "Van" I whisper back smiling at her before realising she's being serious. She stands and come closer to me. "I couldn't be friends and think you where messing around with someone else, I got jealous I'm sorry. I started being mean to you because of it and that wasn't fair." She stops and I start to take everything she just said in "I get it if your mad I should've just told you I liked you or kept my feelings to myself and dealt with them this wasn't on you" she finishes. "Van I-I like you too, I was mean to you in retaliation, I didn't want to like you when you where being all sucky" a smile creeps up on her face, "I was kinda sucky huh", "oh absolutely" I state giggling at her. She comes closer to me and holds my waist, I look up at her, resting my hands on her shoulders. " how about we try this again?" She says smirking, "I'd love that I say"closing the gap between us, her soft lips meeting mine. We walk backwards a bit until my back meets the cold metal of the lockers, making me sigh a bit, our lips never leaving each other. Vans hands start to explore my body, untucking my shirt before making their way up my rib cage and meeting my bra. I tangle my hands in her hair, making her groan. "AND here I was thinking you two hated each other" jackie shouts down the locker room, alerting us of her presence and making us pull apart (reluctantly). I wipe my mouth quickly, Van doing the same, feeling my cheeks burn up. "Coach sent me here to make sure you two hadn't torn each other apart, looks like I got here just in time thought right?" "Okayyy enough" van replies going red herself. "Anyway now you've put aside your differences and seem to finally be 'working as a team'" she states using air quotes, " you can come to the last half an hour" Jackie finishes. "Cooool" I say, secretly wishing me and Van could finish what we started. And begin to follow her to the pitch, Van right behind me, both still red, exchanging a final glance.

If I was to rewrite victorious Andre would be a cool trans guy who everyone in the school wants to go out w but hes actually secretly (not as much as he’d like to think, but still) pining for Cat, who’s actually aroace and pretty oblivious to his feelings, but she does entertain the thought of being w him which results in some silly situations like:

Tori would be this one highschool kid who has gone to one too many identity crisis in middle shool regarding her gender and sexuality and has simply given up on labeling themselves. When she comes to Hollywood arts and the coffee incident happens there’s no romantic or sexual tension w Beck whatsoever (but Jade still hates her out of spite), they become very good friends w Andre just like in the show, is also good friends w Cat and Robbie and forms this unapologetically gay rivalry w Jade.

Jade is basically the same, just maybe less cartoonishly evil?? Still a lot of anger issues, bisexual she/they energy. breaking things and scaring the shit out of ppl. She dates Beck by the beginning but they very obvsly dont get along and its js as delightful as it is annoying hearing them argue abt everything all the fcking time and rant abt how much they hate each other js to not break up (they will eventually, dw)

Beck is not changed much, just more consistent. Sarcastic pretty boy, good actor, very blunt and open about his feelings, simply impossible to scare (maybe that’s why he managed to date Jade for so long💀)

Robbie is js the same weirdo w a puppet, except in this he’d lean more into a asshole-nerd trope. Is a fucking cunt to everyone, probably has big ass crush on Beck that he’ll never admit, flirts w every girl he sees out of insecurity, etc.

In this concept Rex is pretty much his own person, but since Robbie is a jackass then they are over all more similar, Rex still “bullies” Robbie, but it’s slightly toned down as they probably enjoy the same kinda things, have more compatible personalities, etc. Robbie’s js more awkward about… welll, everything.

Trina is still Trina, except we’d treat her like a actual character and not some “look, she’s bad at singing” joke

Cat is similar to her early seasons’ version, she is kinda dumb, volatile and weird but not completely out of it. She kind of knows how to play people (especially boys) to get what she wants. Most of her dumbness would actually be translated into obliviousness, Cat doesn’t notice thiings, she’s always in her own world and doesn’t rlly care abt “normal” things

In this Andre and Tori are best friends (none of the og chow fuckery where they claim beck and andre r besties somehow)

Cat and Robbie are completely platonic on Cat’s side while Robbie makes a few moves on her once in a while (w/o any intention of actually dating her)

Jade and Tori are just gay. I can’t really explain any way else. It’s the same as in the show, just more explicitly gay. Like, in the way where Jade probably goes out of her way to make Toris life miserable but gets very mad whenever someone else does it (shes probably screamed “only i can make her life living hell” at students in hollywodd arts more than once). Tori is also meaner to jade in retaliation, but theyre both kind of into fighting each other so its not rlly that much of a rivalry and more of a amusing thing. Theyre also weirdly jealous of each other. Jade chases people down the hall with scissors whenever someone makes a move on Tori

Beck and Tori are 100% platonic, they hang out more than they did in the show (which fuels jades bother w them in the beginning) but remain abt the same level of closeness

Jade is.. less mean to Cat. Like they dont find bothering her as funny bc she js doesnt understand it and it ends up being meaningless, thats kind of the only reason they manage to get along

Cat and Beck r pretty much the same as the show, still kinda big bro and lil sis dynamic

Cat and Tori are like the girlies ever. They go shopping together, gossip abt everything and everyone bc they know that no one else likes listening to them

Beck is pretty chill, w Robbie, who as I said, is kinda gay for him, theyre not that close but also not not-friends

Andre and Beck are very close, they fight a lot abt silly stuff but always make up and go back to being bros in less than a day

Robbie is kinda mean to Tori but theyre twice as mean back so they make it work🫶

Jade intimidates the shit outta Robbie, he is a jackass to everyone except her bc he knows he’ll get his dick chopped off if he tries anything funny

Responding to your unrecomendation, mine would be scum villain self saving system. It's a Chinese bl novel. It's about a reader, Shen Yuan, who got isekaid into the novel he hate-read, as the villainious teacher, Shen Qingqiu, that abuses the protagonist. Ofc he strives to do the opposite within the limits of ooc. So why it would be my unrecomendation is three point:

1. Resolving the protagonist dilemma.

So the protagonist, Luo Binghe, in the og novel is a tyrant with 300+ wives so he's kinda fucked bc of his childhood trauma. He's a paranoid, power hungry and lust hungry. So ofc Shen Qingqiu tried to treat him better in this one. Except that the author doesn't extend more than that. This kid has no friends other than his childhood bestie. Where's his other friends? Classmates? Bonding between children that can help foster good emotional connection and be a normal teenager? ZERO. Author wrote him to only rely on Shen Qingqiu emotionally and never addressing his previous trauma under the og villain. It's still there!! And it effects the whole novel!!! He's emotionally unstable.

Luo Binghe was so obsessed with him he literally kept Shen Qingqius corpse in his bedroom for five fuckin years, while SQQ junior tried to get him back for a proper burial. When he did find SQQ, Luo Binghe feed him a parasite that can track him anywhere. WTF.

2. The harem.

In og novel, all women are his wives. So what happened to them in this one? Well. They do get mentioned. But barely. One was an airhead but she got more sensible and thats it. Thats all??? I know bl has issues with how they treat their female casts but damn author you could've made them lesbians at the least.

3. Shen Qingqiu himself.

Personally I see him as someone who views the protagonist as a son/student so when people said "oh the characters said that SQQ is mourning for Binghe like a widow mourning for his husband >><<" i get pissed cause father mourns too!!! Teachers mourns as well!! Does platonic relationship means nothing?? Also even if Shen Qingqiu is an unreliable narrator, I can still read that how he views Luo Binghe. Definitely not romantic. Also the fact that he was forced to became Binghe's stay at home wife when he's literally THE Head of Scholarly Peak?? Who loves to explore and record weird plants and animals? Sir. What's the damn difference than a normal het novel then?? Other than no baby and pregnancy. What's the damn difference than the og protagonist having 300+ wives who were shut in his palace than this Binghe with a man who became a shut in? HEAD IN HANDS

I have so many grievance with this book cause it could've been better. Not even counting the teacher-student relationship and many other red flags that are flying actively in this book. I am tortured with visions. Everyday im gripping the sink, saying "It could've been better. But it DIDN'T."

Definitely do not recommend 0/10 dont do this don't read this book. Its better to read other things like a textbook maybe. Sorry if this is long i can only hope that you're entertained. Best regard.

i kinda don't. entirely hate the little thing where you're sending companions off on missions across the galaxy? but like. i dont love that it's filler cutscene content. a more involved mechanic along the lines of xiv's squadrons or sto's duty officer system where you can send npc parties out on missions for rewards/alliance xp could have been an interesting addition (kotfetet era mostly) if only bc it would. 1. give the illusion that you're actually Commanding shit and 2. some purpose to these npcs you're otherwise just collecting to take up space in your base, but. that would require like. effort and i don't think bioware broadsword have had the resources to add such a system since before f2p. (then again they're adding this new companion unlock grind with the current patch so idk)

Alex never rose her voice to rika, banks and winter, unlike what she did to emmy and its because she probably never felt challenged by them because their men still paid for her services so what can these women do much to her really + she never saw aydin took interest in them like he did with emmy (disregarding the manipulation aside, im trying to make people understand her possible pov). This is why woman should have healthy female relationships! No one wants to be like corrupt rika, pre-marriage banks/ winter and nightfall alex! No one wants to admit that alex too, just everyone else, had internalised misogyny. I dont think anyone ever noticed the nuances really, alex hid it too well, but it shone through in her lowest moments unlike emmy. Because when emmy was at her lowest, she never humiliate alex to step on her like what alex did to emmy in blackchurch or on the train, but emmy straight up attack will (verbally) because why would she attack alex? Will was the one who hurt emmy not alex. But aydin attacked alex, and its emmys fault that alexs man was shitty? She was so wrong for that. I think for my part, I always considered Alex’s main motive toward Emory was knowing that Will was still in love with her and that Emory had the power and ability to hurt him as she had before. She was protective of Will – “her reflection.” It’s nice to see another possibility/side of it. You make a good point. I guess I never considered Alex feeling inferior to Emory. Emory’s background being different from the people she’s surrounded herself with, to then see Emory rise above that and carry on, leaving Will behind like she probably saw Aydin rejecting her, and suddenly seeing the way Will and Aydin react to Emory might have made her feel small and like a stand-in, which she is for so many.

I agree that it’s a little out of bounds to compare Alex’s pain with Emory’s.

Rotating: now there are some very juicy tid bits here with yjh past hinting, and a few scenes from his pov even. similarly kdj confronting, just a bit, the means towards his end are leading to him to some interesting places. that said, in an effort to motivate myself to just read the dang thing. i feel myself really just focusing on giggling at all the delightful dokhyuk baiting and the more just comical aspects. like. horton hears a WHO CARES-- THIS DOG CAN DUEL. in order to get the joy of having fun notes on and thoughts about this story, i must in fact, keep reading it.

warning ahead of time that there will be ship hate, just like look away if you dont like that stuff lol

(by main trio, im assuming you mean tanjirou with kanao, zenitsu with nezuko, and inosuke with aoi so we're gonna go with that assumption)

before i actually get started, i will say i generally dont like how gotouge writes romance if they arent established beforehand (like parents), and even then there couldve been more complexity and nuance behind such decisions, the romance is just so weak compared to their ability to write sibling dynamics

with that in mind

tanjirou and kanao - ugh, i dont like it at all, the fact that this was pretty much kanao's whole deal until the douma fight was abhorrent and every time i see kanao getting all flustered around tanjirou i lose 10 years of my life. it feels out of character and i hate that every time i see kanao interacting with him i see nothing but it being used as ship fuel and not a genuine exploration of their dynamic

they also have nothing in common and nothing to bond over, and their dynamic is not fun at all, i really dont see how both fans and gotouge genuinely think theyd make a good couple, its literally "shes a girl, hes a boy, can i make it more obvious"

zenitsu and nezuko - ughhhhhhhh

i mentioned at some point that this ship brought the worst out of canon zenitsu, and i still hold up to that, it literally ruined whatever emotional maturity he acquired in infinity fortress. then theres the fact that canon nezuko has essentially regressed to a toddler so theres the weirdness from that + she is really in no position to return his affections when she also has no agency over her actions

its the same thing with tanjirou and kanao where they also have nothing in common and nothing to bond over and their dynamic is not fun at all and its just "shes a girl, hes a boy, whoop-dee-stinking-do"

inosuke and aoi - gotouge put them together bc theyre both blue-coded huh? (/s) like thats it, that is all theyve got going, they have nothing

uzui's polycule - now this is where it gets a little better (kinda), i like how every one of the characters have distinct personalities and they play off each other in a fun way

i do have two complaints: one is that this relationship is a big reason why i think gotouge is not good at writing romance, bc even if they know how to write the four in an entertaining way, i dont sense any romantic love in their interactions. well, theres uzui and hinatsuru, but even thats reaching

second, makio apparently being a distant cousin of uzui is just wtf, idk why gotouge felt the need to add that at all, way to ruin a perfectly good relationship with a completely unnecessary and gross factoid when they could have just not done that

obanai and mitsuri - i actually really like this ship, just not the way gotouge handled it. theres so much potential for them to understand each other's struggles with their self image but all they actually got were moments about obanai being a creepy overprotective bastard over her, and mitsuri going "awww hes my knight and im a princess!" like girl,,,,,,

hakuji and koyuki - literally like the only relationship gotouge didnt screw over or fuck up, you can tell the two love each other a lot and thats what makes the tragedy later on so heartwrenching. koyuki and keizo representing hakuji's capacity to love and find hope and meaning in a cruel world and having them dying is just like, damn, cant believe this is in the same manga where zenitsu got jealous over sanemi patting nezuko on the head

i mentioned doki in my last post and yeah i kinda dont talk about it as much as the other seasons ive completed huh.

despite my incoming hater rant i uh. dont hate it? but i like every other season ive seen better and that includes tropical rouge, which despite being my first season i do find mid now. though thats really not enough credit to doki, its highs are higher, but its lows are waaaaay lower.

(ramble incoming, not important, just my own scuffed opinion, but its under the cut. also spoilers.)

first off, elephant-shaped ira in the room, yes im a self identified card carrying cure ace hater. i can own that, im fine with it, star twinkle madoka is best madoka, but also i feel like that doesnt give the nuace of how i feel enough credit. its sorta like, yes the fake-out was lame, but a fake out like that is supposed to make more sense in hindsight, when you see the rest of the story and know why it happened, but we REALLY didnt get that. was literally a deus ex machina to save the cures from getting washed by fucked up and evil and purple regina, then proceeds to become an even bigger problem than regina by finessing manas lovies while shes sad about losing her blonde villain gf.

i then made jokes about how aguri is homophobic for the rest of the show

proceeds to be a colossal dickhead for the next 10 episodes, then its revealed she cant back it up cus of the whole time limit thing that they discard at the end, and then just. says sowwy and fades into the bg until endgame arc starts. like we see that she was watching the cures beforehand, but then NEVER stepped in until the regina thing, which. why? she didnt know she and regina were split off from ange until way later, what compelled her? that the cures were gonna lose? howd that not get her moving the several times thatd already happened? theres no reasoning behind it, she shows up, acts like a dickhead, and turns endgame into the aguri show and turns makotos whole arc into an afterthought. most we get out of her after that was the brush your teeth episode. imo actively made the show worse off.

not the only one though cus okada joe, fresh from getting his wife killed and losing his homeworld, gets sent to the main world, immediately starts hitting on middle schoolers. its been said that they were gonna go full coco on this dude but one higherup said "ya nah", but its hard to tell if that happened before or after the show started airing, cus it only fully stops once we see him in the armour suit, going "i miss my wife tails makoto. i miss her a lot" when he was trying to rizz her up like 20 episodes ago. bigger danger to children than king selfish at that rate. only good thing about aguri imo is that okada joe vanishes for like 12 episodes since him meeting aguri would advance the plot.

alice is also kinda lame. nothing else for me to say except half of the alice episodes felt like sebastian the butler episodes, except those were actually fun cus he has a personality thats more than a gentrified toothpick

but also the shows highs are REALLY GOOD. rikka is awesome. the first villain trio is excellent. every scene with regina in it is peak, especially the midseason arc (before aguri anyway). they made a line sticker of that one scene where regina and mana sleep in the same bed and thats the most adorable shit ive ever seen. that one pre-endgame episode with regina and rikka gave kira a run for its money with the funny homo factor. speaking of rikka, the first straight ship (not you raquel) ive seen the series push that isnt either basic as fuck or vomit inducing.

also mana is okay you guys are just mean. when yr in the same show as aguri the mary sue allegations kinda just explode into a cloud of steam

but thats not enough for doki to beat the mid allegations imo. which is a huge shame, this show has so much going for it, but it consistently put a focal point on the things that make it worse! and also why i havent posted about it until literally today, it isnt genuinely great like heartcatch or st, it doesnt have dedicated brain worms inside my frontal lobe like mahopre or kira, and it isnt a show thats overall good but then fumbled its main twist in the most personally aggravating to me way possible like tropical rouge.

oh yeah while im here ive also watched go princess, but that shows issues are more in that anything that isnt towa is kinda just fucking boring, (which is also a shame cus towas the best precure character period bar none) but thats a post for another time

starting from right after the gortash fight- i already posted about karlach's incredible :((( cutscene there. but also this:

inconsolable.......... the similarities between their backstories was my first reason for being so invested in starlach from early on- but the sadness in his voice here. god. dont worry my love, i will have an origin run w u where you can go to avernus with her and wyll :((( wyllachstarion will win yet again (YES i am seriously already planning for this- but not immediately because i think i focused on them too much in my first run lmaoooo. but i will do this!!!! they are my babiessss)

alright now the ELDER BRAIN FIGHTS UGHHHHHHHHHHHH i enjoyed all of the endgame sequences sooooo muchhhhhhhhhh

as i already said in other posts, i made laezel a little mad. just a little. i didnt free orpheus 😭😭 i am so curious to see how it plays out in my next runs!! but in this one, i felt like this was the choice Lou would make. and now, let's break down wyllachstarion's reactions to the alternative decisions ~

firstly, we already knew astarion says no to becoming an illithid himself, and his reaction to u possibly becoming one is so sad too... he really keeps urging you to reconsider. and i loved how he prefers freeing orpheus, but he's also fine with the emperor route as long as you dont end up as an illithid. his voice and face in these scenes made me so !!!! it was very well done, i loved it

wyll just being okay with whatever u choose... he stands with you and trusts u in all options. wylllllllllllllllll :( it is such a wyll thing, but i also wish he had a longer dialogue here

and karlach........ god of courseee she sees it as her only way out. i hate this i hate it hereeeeeeeee it's very good writing and acting but karlach!!! i dont want u to be an illithid :((( i ofc picked those options, and she was still supportive- i kinda wished to see her a little more hurt/mad at this but :(((( that would've been a lot harder for me to say no to her lmao. i just want karlach to be happy, is that too much to ask?????

but anyway, in the end i chose to trust the emperor and let him handle the stones. it was fun to have him around in fights ngl :) i never used illithid powers in this run on purpose for rp reasons, so im looking forward to exploring them later. lou's relationship with the emperor have been very umm.... shaky? lmao 😭 lou tried to kill him once, but also otherwise he was a professional ally i think. the emperor didnt even asked to fuck lou :( (lou wouldve said no but sdfbdhbfsd) he never trusted the guy, but also most of the game, he didnt trust many people anyway so it wasnt personal for the emperor lol. he was honestly planning to help laezel and free orpheus until the moment he had to make a decision, but the choices presented at that moment......... man. siding with the emperor felt the safest option at that time, so that's what we went with. it was definitely an interesting allyship!! it was a fun one to experience tho (sidenote, since im talking about the emperor umm. he and ansur definitely had a thing right? yes? alright moving on)

THEN everyone i helped just coming togetherrrrrrrrr awwww 😭😭 even the ox came!! sdnmdshfs i ended up summoning the harpers, the gur, nine fingers' guys, rolan's spell, and dame aylin before i made it to the brain itself lol it was a fun fight too!! it came in phases and i enjoyed all phases tbh. courtyard was v crowded but fun, then trying to climb up to the brain was STRESSFULL honestly but also fun!! the last part seemed intimidating but it was fine in the end. fuck you huge brain. also, i remember fighting the mind flayers at the end of act 2 in moonrise, and they gave me such a hard time i was scared of them lmaoooo and now my lvl12 ass is like huh. astarion can take u out in one turn with his 4 attacks in a row. bitch. sdfhjsfdgs (as always astarion carries the combat so hard for me- whatever will i do without relying on him all the time in my next runs???

and now THE CUTSCENES!!!!!!

astarion on copium.......... he was so happy too. ON GOD WE WILL FIX YOUR SUN ALLERGY (in my mind) - and then having him run off towards the end of this scene :((((((((( alright not to make everything about the same trio jsfdhfdsf but! wonder how that plays out in astarion origin spawn ending?? because i NEED him in the next cutscene with karlach 😤 guess we will find out in some months lol

but for now! wyll and karlach are off to avernus :<<<< and im off with astarion to hopefully find a cure lol. and laezel got mad at me a little (seriously. just a little compared to what i was expecting sdhfhd) and left to go to space and stuff. which is very fair honestly, good luck and sorry girl :( (i wish there was an option to apologize to her for that decision because i really did want to help her, but.......... the choices that i have to make......... so hard)
