I’ve been a hardcore TWD fan since the show began airing, but that’s because of my love for zombies. In all honesty, I didn’t really ship anyone for the first 3-4 seasons. I kind of shipped Daryl with Carol, but then it became clear that it was a platonic relationship and in all honesty, I just wanted to see them both get some action lmao. Dirty Fingernails and Dried Blood Summary: What happened during the months between "Still" and "Alone"? Beth uses the last pages of her diary to write down every detail of surviving with Daryl. Thoughts: My first Bethyl fanfic. It holds a special place in my heart for that reason, though it is pretty rough. If I could go back, I never would’ve done it entirely in first-person. But I do plan to finish it one day. There are some scenes I’m particularly proud of, and I still have a long note full of ideas and plot points.

Most Wanted Summary: After Beth’s mother and half-brother are murdered in a drug war, the godly veil on the Greene Family operation is lifted, and law enforcement comes down hard. In an effort to protect her family, Beth commits a heinous crime that could mean life in prison alongside them. Now everyone she’s ever trusted is in police custody and her only chance at freedom is to get as far away from Atlanta as she can... Thoughts: Well, this is a must-read if you like my writing. I hope to one day convert this into an original fiction and maybe get it published, but I need to finish it first LOL. I got the idea from ONE scene of “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt,” and from there, it exploded into a huge mystery thriller (with lots of romance and smut). I’m really really proud of it, and I’m scared I’ll fuck it up tbh, so I keep putting off continuing it. But I really need to get back to it because I really want people to see what I have planned! Thoughts: Omg this fic is so fun!! One of my first Bethyl fics, and one of my first Bethyl smut fics. Short, sweet, a little funny, and a lot hot. I am still impressed with myself on this one, especially considering how much my writing has improved since lol

Breathe. Please. Summary: Beth shows up at the Hilltop. Alive. Daryl can hardly believe his eyes. Until she's lying in his bed, an arm's reach away. And he can hear her inhaling... exhaling... inhaling... Thoughts: Another “fix-it” that I’m proud of. Tbh I didn’t think it was anything all that special, but a lot of readers have said it’s one of their favorites, and some say they reread it regularly, and nothing makes me happier than hearing that, so I am extremely proud.

Picking a scab will leave a scar, but they both have so many scars already... what's a few more? Thoughts: This fic is very, very personal for me. It’s like my “therapy” fic. I have poured some of my deepest feelings and struggles into its chapters, and the whole idea that got me to start it was that I wanted to find a way to navigate and cope with ending my 3-year long relationship with my emotionally/mentally/sometimes physically abusive ex. I still have a lot of fond memories from that relationship, but even more so, I have painful memories. Not to mention, going through your early 20s as a woman in the modern day is a fuckin’ trip, so this kind of explores that. It’s really self-indulgent, I think, but I’m really proud of the smut in it. And more than that, I’m proud of the response. I’ve had a few people message me or comment to say that they’ve felt all those things, or have experienced similar things, and it’s really just... relieving. I put my heart and soul out there, and what I got back was “you’re not alone.” So yeah, this fic is special. I wanna finish it soon, but I have to be in A Mood to do so. 

In Toto Corde Summary: Despite a million reasons not to, Beth and Daryl fell in love. Then he made the ultimate sacrifice in order to keep all of his promises. Now, facing unimaginable consequences at the hands of witch hunters, Beth has no choice but to use her powers to bring Daryl back from the dead. "He won't be the same..." Thoughts: I LOVE THIS FIC. I love it so much that I had to rewrite it after like 4 or 5 years. And I already started on a sequel that I really hope I’m able to finish. Though it doesn’t have many hits, and I don’t think many people have read it at all, which I understand since it basically is entirely focused around Daryl being killed. But damn, I’m proud of this one, and it was really fucking fun to write because witch!Beth is just... the best.

risk it all (part 1 of in for a penny, in for a pound) Summary: Daryl Dixon has a pretty decent life, all things considered. He's got his own place. A good dog. A few friends. Even a girlfriend. He keeps himself out of trouble. Until he starts texting Beth Greene. And hell, if he ain't about to risk it all for this damn girl. Thoughts: This was supposed to be one short multichapter fic focused entirely on smut and social media. Then I got on a roll and it ended up being the beginning of a series! This fic is purely fun. Nothing too serious or heavy. I write it when I’m in a Good Mood because it’s my little happy place. I have plans for about 4 more fics before the series will be finished!

Don’t Make Me Haunt You Summary: So here's the thing: Merle Dixon is dead as fuck. And as it turns out, Beth Greene is the only one who can see or hear him. Which is weird considering she's never met or even heard of this guy, let alone anyone with the last name Dixon. That's her first problem... Thoughts: The reception to this fic has absolutely blown me away. I had no idea anyone would want to read about ghost!Merle haunting Beth and forcing her to solve his murder with the help of his grumpy brother. And it was all inspired by an episode of South Park lmao then I started really getting into it and now it’s just like, my super fun fic where I explore a range of emotions and all kinds of religious beliefs and different mythologies and I can build the world however I want and goddamn I just love writing this fic. Plus there’s a podfic for it! I can’t even begin to explain how much I love this fic and how proud I am of it :)

TLDR: interracial dating. I am a white woman and I stopped dating white guys because I found them generally annoying, arrogant, and talkative, and not even that attractive to compensate. They would talk over me and assume they knew more than me even when they had never studied the subject. I dated a few Asian men, including my current bf, and have had at least two very positive relationships, feeling respected, and liking the new experience of being more talkative than my bf, who preferred to listen. And I found that very attractive as well; for whatever reasons, personality included, I’ve been much more attracted. Maybe it’s innate. Anyway, I dated men from Japan and China, and found that they were very chivalrous, which was something I felt u could only get from a conservative man in America (what a nightmare!). So at the risk of sounding like I’m fetishizing, I somewhat decided that if I ever end my relationship w my current bf, I would only date men from China or Japan (I understand that the culture in Japan is patriarchal, but I find the quietness and politeness/chivalry of the men very attractive, and have not as of yet felt belittled). And I love that the Japanese and Chinese men I’ve dated also had no notion of hookup culture, and were highly traditional- commitment, leading toward eventual marriage presumably, paying for the date, etc. It was euphoric for me, as opposed to splitting the date half and half w a white guy who’s talking over me and started our relationship as a hookup and will maybe go listen to joe rogan after our bad sx. Anyway, I thought I had cracked the code of being happy as a woman dating men. But then I discovered that it wasn’t so simple. I spoke to a female friend from China recently. In the time before I had met up w her recently, she had dated many guys that were specifically of Asian descent like she is. But when I met up w her recently, I noticed that every guy she was “talking to” (no commitment whatsoever) was white. She fawned over one particular guy, a very average-looking man she met on tinder, because they had cuddled (after noncommittal sex) and he said he was having a “really nice time.” She said since he was bad at sex, he’s probably inexperienced (despite him being in a frat). I was pretty taken aback, bc he seemed to me to be visibly not be worthy of a relationship. I tried my best not to express that to my friend, Bc I didn’t want to hurt her feelings. But later in the day, when discussing dating, it came about that I expressed why I preferred dating men from China or Japan over white guys. And she agreed w me on every point. But through speaking w her, it became clear that she has had bad experiences w her Asian exes. She told me I was lucky Bc I was white; it meant the men I dated were open-minded. But the men she, an Asian woman, had dated all expected her to be docile, and cook for them, etc., and she said it seemed that they dated her to “please their parents.” I was taken aback at the unfairness. And I asked her, so, it seems like you’re now trying to stay away from dating Asian men bc they remind you of your exes? and she said yes, and I agreed, as I was doing basically the same. So two different women from two different ethnicities and sides of the world were both swearing off men of their “kind” (race is socially constructed but we cannot swear it off until racial hierarchies cease to exist) bc of our bad experiences w those men. And only I seemed to be able to benefit, probably bc of white privilege, while if she tried to “switch teams,” to use a crass term, she’d end up w a different evil: the men I ran from. Yes, she confirmed she’d dealt w the men who abused drugs, the men who said she looked like an anime girl, the men who asked her to wear pigtails, the men who claimed to have ADHD so they could never cease talking. I wanted so much to protect her, my dear friend, from not only hookup culture but the abuses of being w these terrible men. Whilst Ginny had been the first to greet Hermione when she arrived at 12 Grimmauld Place, it was Fred who noticed how off she was. He wasn’t sure what, or how, but he knew their resident bookworm wasn’t her usual self. She minutely flinched when they raised their voices - which was not uncommon in the Weasley family - and even at her own shadow, or laughter.

Ron had mentioned that she hadn’t been writing as much as she normally had, but he figured it was because he never really kept up with his replies; Hermione simply knew him too well and kept it to once or twice a month. To Fred however, he knew there was something else happening.

With Fred knowing, that meant George also knew and he had to agree with his twin: Hermione was not herself.

They followed her around the Black house, and were rather surprised at how oblivious she could be; not once did she really noticed them in a corner, barely hidden and not trying to be, nor when they relaxed back on a sofa in the library which was extensive but hardly what you would call large.

When they Apparated with a pop, however, was when they got a breakthrough.

“Hey, Hermione!” They chorused, twin grins on their faces. They fell, though, when they saw how rigidly she held herself, hunched over the book in her lap and her hand clenched so hard her knuckles were white. “Hermione?”

“H-hello, boys. Something up?” She stuttered, offering them a very lacklustre smile. They frowned together and dragged their eyes up and down her still very tense body.

“What’s wrong?”

“Who’s hurt you?”

She flinched again. She wet her lips, rolling them together and swallowed. “Nothing,” she said, “nothing at all.”

“Oh,” began Fred, crouching on her left, “you’re so rigid you make a Hippogriff seem relaxed. You’ve been off since you got here.”

Hermione rolled her eyes, “Honestly, I’m fine. Really.”

George scoffed and crouched on her other side. “Pull they other leg, Hermione. The other’s mightn’t have noticed, but we have.” He gestured between himself and Fred. “You’ve been off.”

“And what does that mean exactly? Off? How vague,” she sniped. 

“You’ve been oblivious to nearly everything. You didn’t write as much to Ron, nor to Gin, to say nothing of that flinch just now.” Fred listed, his frown deepening as he spoke. “You’re not fine, Granger. Far from it; what happened?”

“That’s...that’s nothing; I flinched because I didn’t expect you to do that. Who does? Your mother doesn’t.”

“At shadows? You flinched when mum called us for lunch yesterday. You flinch at everything and you never have before,” George argued.

“Yeah, and Ron said you near jumped out of your skin when he said hello to you this morning,” Fred finished. 

Hermione stared at them with wide, brown eyes. Her lips rolled again. Her eyes became glassy and soon enough tears were tracing down her cheeks. 

“I’m sorry. I don’t- I don’t know...it’s so stupid!”

In a flash they were beside her on the sofa, arms around her shoulders. “If it has you upset, it isn’t stupid,” Fred said.

“No, and you don’t have to say anything if you don’t want. We’re sorry for pushing the issue,” George whispered.

Hermione smiled and nodded. “I should probably say something. My mum and dad don’t know.”

“Don’t know what?”

“Well,” she took several harsh gulps, “I was...seeing someone. A boy I met when we went into town. It was after we came home. I spent everyday with him. He was ever so polite and sweet; he’s Muggle and after everything that had happened, I wanted some time away. He was so nice to me, but two weeks ago he...he didn’t hit me but he yelled at me for no reason. Then, he said sorry, that he wouldn’t do it again. But he didn’t.”

Fred felt his blood boil and looking at George, he knew his twin felt the same.

“Did he hit you?” He asked.

“No. I feel so silly. To feel this way-”

“No!” Fred snapped. “Sorry! Sorry, but no. No, it isn’t silly. He shouldn’t have been doing that, there was no reason!”

“We can deal with him for you if you like?” George offered. “We could push him from a broom-”

“- charm another flying car-”

“- we could always use Buckbeak -”

“-off a bridge?”

Hermione’s head turned and back and forth before she started laughing. “Thank you boys, thank you but I don’t need you to do that. I may have helped him into a rose bush in Hyde Park before I got here. I think he’s still pulling thorns out.”

Fred settled his arms around her and pulled her into a tight hug. “Well, if you ever need to get your own back, we’ll gladly help.”

Headcanons:

*Okay, let me begin with Tomioka (Name) being Papa Giyuu’s little waterdrop. But unlike Kyoujuro, Giyuu is a little more stern with his girl. He does spoil her, but not extremely. He has his rules, (Name) was raised to be respectful eversince she learned how to walk and talk.

*The Tomioka discipline is a must. He has his ways of disciplining, but he isn’t that type of brutal abusive father. He does get a little hard on her, but it’s for her  own best. But never he’s to raise a hand to her.

*He raised his daughter into believing that she’s a human being like others and that she is to respect them, not act a jerk to people just because she doesn’t agree with them. Kind of not wanting to teach her to just straight up lash out at someone being hopeless or just having a different point of view, like how he was in the past, he doesn’t want her to suffer the same treatment of “people hate you” that he went through, course Shinobu’s not around anymore, she can’t tease her or him, but it doesn’t mean he does not miss her teasing.

*(Name) is the spitting image of her father down from the form of her toes to each strand of her hair. And has a similar attitude with her father, her blank look definitely is present must of the time in her face. But it doesn’t mean she’s unapproachable like once was her father, she’s actually very friendly, although being shy. Her deep dark eyes are alittle more kinder than Giyuu’s.

* “You’re not allowed to date until you are 17,” That was one of the important rules to follow, told to her when she was just 14. And three years later, she proved to be responsible to start dating. And she believed she found her real blue prince one day in the market when she was accompanying her father into buying some rice for riceballs that afternoon.

*It was a young man, looking so nice and polite or that was what Giyuu’s daughter thought. (Name) dropped her small cloth bag and he got it for her.

“There you go, pretty lady,”

“Oh eh...thanks,”

*Of course Giyuu was watching them, while the boy seemed a true gentleman, he saw something in the boy that made him get suspicious and skeptical but didn’t say anything, he would watch him closer.

*The two would schedule meetings to see one another for the first few weeks, and Giyuu though, still quite uncomfortable with the guy getting closer to his daughter, didn’t say a thing nore get involved. He didn’t want to keep his daughter’s life just to his control, he wanted to give her a little freedom.

“Father, (bf’s name)’s quite charming! And I never thought I’d fall in love with someone!” She would tell him, but Giyuu would only nod, he didn’t trust his daughter’s boyfriend at all.

*(Name) was simply in love, she would never be aware that her “precious boyfriend” would betray her sooner. It all happened one morning, it was snowing and (name) was walking out of the Tomioka Household, going to sweep away the snow from the doorway, when she looked up and saw (bf’s name) walking nearby and she smiled softly, about to wave in his direction and call him, however... what she saw froze her in place... her ‘boyfriend’ got hugged by another girl and he kissed her and held her hand. Although, unlike Kyoujuro’s daughter, her reaction wasn’t immeditely crying and running right to her father’s arms. No, she hardened her gaze and stomped over to them.

“Excuse me, (bf’s name) who on Earth is this girl? I am your girlfriend!” She’s quite enraged.

“Excuse me but who are you, stranger? I haven’t seen you in my life, don’t play with me. I’m (another girl’s name)’s boyfriend, so screw off,”

*The nasty words thrown at her, made (name)’s eyes water immediately, she took off her sandal and smack the b*stard’s face, walking inside and slamming the door, she felt so humilated, betrayed...like a fool, used... her eyes shed tears, but she didn’t make any sound, just let the tears flow, she was such a silent crier.

*When Giyuu heard the door slam, his first reaction was to go see his daughter and lightly scold her for doing that, she knows better than to throw doors, however his initial slight displeasure with his daughter immediately vanished she he spotted her crying. He hurried over to her and placed his hands on her shoulders, asking her softly what was with her.

*And when she told him everything, she couldn’t keep silent she threw her arms around her father’s neck and sobbed.

“I was so stupid to believe he loved me! He even acted as if we didn’t meet!”

*Giyuu feels how the rage inside him starts rising, he knew all the time that boy meant distrust. He sighs and gently comforts his poor heatrbroken daughter, hugging her tenderly and tightly.

*Do not cry over a pathetic excuse for a man like that, my daughter...he was never trustworthy ever since the beginning. But it will be alright, you will find some other noble boy worthy of your heart. Shhh...”

*It took sometime to calm her, but Giyuu’s soothing calm voice never fails to calm her down.

“Now, go inside and get yourself a nice snack, (name). I have something important to do.” He kisses the top of her head and gives her a warm, soft smile.

*Then he hardened his gaze and marched over to deal with this guy. He approaches him quietly.

“So you never met my daughter and you never were at MY house?” His eyes cold as ice with a razor gaze. The boy immediately begs for his life, and the ex-swordsman grabs his front kimono.

“Let me tell you something, miscreant. No one breaks my daughter’s heart or humilates her, I do not want you near her ever in your life... or else...” he pulled his sword to his neck, he didn’t use it anymore, but he used to scare brats away from his daughter.

*The boy cries mercy and he’s then harshly dropped onto the snowy ground, before the infuriated father whirls and walks inside his home, sliding the door close.

*Now to not have a repeat of what happened before, any guy wanting to be Giyuu’s daughter, must come meet him personally and he will determine if they’re suitable for (name). 

And lesson of the day: If you break Tomioka’s daughter’s heart, you’re in for hell.

Have you ever learned something about someone that like. Completely changes your view about them? Cus my mom told me about something that happened to her sister's ex husband which prompted. maybe the wildest response i ever heard (from someone i knew irl at least)

First off, my aunt was married to some guy, who divorced her shortly after the wedding and?? I think kicked her out of the house??? I was honestly surprised they got married in the first place, i remember learning she had dumped her last bf to get with this guy only to find out months later she was getting married to him. 

so like. The guy was apparently an asshole for divorcing her, i wouldnt know, this part is secondhand from my mother and the aunt lives states away so i just. Dont see her. Dont talk to her. Only thing that matters is he was the one that broke it off and it was completely surprising to everyone on my aunt’s side. he even kicked her out of the house which kinda sucks cus she had a house before meeting him that she left to move in w him but. yknow. shit happens. she signed a prenup.

But one day he called her up just. Sobbing. Sounding hysterical. My only guess to why his 'terrible ex wife' was the first person he called (after the cops) was bc he, like many unfortunate men, are not allowed to form emotional attachments to ppl other than their wives cus rah, men dont talk about feelings. Its fucked. I hope he gets therapy. More men need therapy.

ANYWAY. So this old man has a son whos grown enough to have three sons of his own. And the ex husband's son, lets call him greg, he had a friend who was in a mentally and emotionally abusive relationship with this woman. He's had a very rough life, and it didn't seem to be getting better. I really feel bad for this guy, for so many reasons.

I'm missing some details bc my mom was just confusing me so much with all the ppl she had to juggle discussing, but for some reason, this guy, Greg's friend, goes to Greg's house one day. He talks with greg, drinks some beers, and then goes to one of Greg's son's bedrooms.

He takes a shotgun to his head

Greg's (YOUNG) sons were at home!! One of them was in the next room!! He heard the shot, he discovered the body, he's (last i heard) going to therapy. the only lucky thing about him is his grandpa is rich because fuck. imagine having to deal with that without help

So Greg called his dad and the dad called my aunt (remember, his ex who he divorced bitterly) to cry to her about how horrified he is, the sight of it haunts him and his son and his grandsons, how are they going to clean all the mess, etc

And my aunt, being a little healthier than said ex in that she has more than one support system in place, calls her friend whos also my cousin's god mother.

(Ive only met her a handful of times, i have had absolutely no opinion of her as we never directly talked. In fact, I was surprised after a day of school by my mother as she. Drove me for like two hours to a funeral home for said godmother's late husband. I was wearing the most colorful and garish outfit at the time and had never seen a dead body before. And she hadnt even told me he died until the drive over. It was. Fucking surreal)

So after telling this story to said godmother, who probably knows exactly how bad the divorce was (and has DEALTH WITH DEATH BEFORE BEING A WIDOW AND ALL), the godmother went "See! This is his karma"

A man. Is dead. Kids are traumatized. At least five people are forever having to deal with this image and this knowledge and this experience for the rest of their lives, and you say?? Karma??? For a messy divorce??!?!??! What the FUCK????

delilah was born on a crisp autumn night, october 15th, 1970, to be exact. she was born in a tiny apartment in the middle of a college party. delilah’s birth mom was extremely young ( high school age ) when she got pregnant, and wasn’t sure who the father was. she came from a wealthy family, but ran away when she realized she was pregnant

her  birth  mother  also  struggled  with  alcoholism  and  substance  abuse.  those  close  to  her  did  their  best  to  make  sure  she  wasn’t  using  any  of  these  substances  during  her  pregnancy,  but  she  snuck  a  few  drinks  and  pills  here  and  there  whenever  she  got  the  chance

after giving birth to delilah, things only got worse. she continued drinking and using drugs more than ever before, often times neglecting her baby. she attempted to raise her baby with her boyfriend, who was much older than her, but he ultimately was no help and only there for a good time. delilah lived with her birth mom the first three ( almost four ) years of her life

finally, her birth mom’s parents tracked her down and discovered she had a child. once they saw the conditions she was living in, they told her she needed to put delilah up for adoption before the state took her away. so that is exactly what she did, and has been in and out of rehab ever since

delilah was adopted around a year later. at this point, she was nearly 5. she was extremely happy and felt so grateful to be adopted. while in the foster care system, she had met a lot of older kids who had been there for years

delilah’s family was so loving and welcoming, she truly could not have asked for more. 3 years later, they adopted jude and delilah became a big sister  !!!  she is extremely protective over her sister, she would literally do anything for her :’) and their parents clearly loved kids, since their basement also became the hangout spot for everyone

( donna and i are still plotting out the details about their family, but it’s only them and their mom now o: )

lila had to grow up pretty fast, so she always much more responsible and mature for her age. still, despite everything, she always maintained an optimistic outlook on life. she loves life and the people in hers so much, she just has so much love to spread  !!!!

delilah developed a passion for feminism at a young age, thanks to her mother. she would literally print out feminist readings and pass them out at lunch in high school. she’d also give speeches about feminism at school. some people disliked her for it, saying she was too opinionated and stuff, but it never stopped her. she also pretty much always knew she wanted to be a social worker

delilah always sees the best in people. although she acknowledges that everyone has flaws, she’s the type of person who doesn’t like to give up on anyone. she will support you even through your darkest times, and try to help you see the light

she is so protective of her friends and family, like will truly do anything to see them safe and happy. she just wants to remind everyone that they are loved and supported

she LOVES people soooooo much  !!!  she is extremely extroverted, literally a social butterfly who tries to befriend literally everyone ajskdhkdh

delilah dislikes conflict, so she is often playing peacemaker, whether in her home life or with her friend group. she wants everyone to get along, but be able to talk to their differences to come to some sort of common ground. however, sometimes this means shes sticking her nose in other people’s business

she is obsessed with love  !!!!  like this girl literally falls in love 5 times a day with a stranger on the bus, the coolest celebrity on tv, the girl that sits next to he in class, etc. i think she is definitely a relationship person, because she’s a nurturer and wants to be there for people. however, i think sometimes she gets caught up in the fairy tale of it all. like she wants to be in love so bad, sometimes she rushes into things or idealizes the situation in her head, so things might not exactly work out

delilah isn’t very open with her emotions. she mostly keeps them to herself, because she doesn’t want anyone to have to worry about her or anything. she tries to deal with everything herself mostly

she sees the beauty in everything, which is like partially because she’s a huge optimist. she also cannot resist pretty things. she once bought a pink guitar from a thrift store because she thought it was pretty, even though she has no idea how to play. however, she wants to learn, especially because she loves to sing ( this bitch is literally always humming )

is almost always the designated driver. she doesn’t really drink or smoke too often, and when she does, it’s during social situations. but she wants her friends to have all the fun they want and know they have someone they can count on to get them home safely. but btw she is an extreme lightweight LMFAO

unlikely friends - they’re so different, you’d never expect them to be good friends. but for some reason, it just works. they click  !!  maybe they’re always introducing each other to new things, like showing each other their interests and stuff

ex-fling / gf / bf - maybe they ended on weird terms, maybe they ended on good terms, maybe they still have lingering feelings or sexual tension, etc. we can plot however  !!

unrequited crush - maybe delilah has a crush on ur muse. she is constantly falling for people so it wouldn’t be unlikely  !!  OR ur muse could have a crush on her and she’s oblivious to it

requited crush - they both like each other, but maybe they’re both too scared to make a move, or maybe they’re ready to like try going out, we can plot however  !!

enemies w benefits - ok not actually enemies, since they’re all friends and delilah doesnt rly hate anyone ( only racist, sexist, homophobic, etc kinds of ppl ). but maybe they don’t exactly see eye to eye, so imagine the tension  !!!  they started out not getting along that well, but ended up hooking up. maybe it was a one time thing, or maybe they can’t stop going back to each other. maybe they’re keeping it a secret from everyone else

will they, won’t they -  there’s feelings between them, but they haven’t made the plunge to pursue whatever they have. longing, yearning, lingering glances PLS  !!!  they have chemistry, but maybe the timing has always been off  ??

flirtationship - they flirt constantly, but nothing serious has come out of it and maybe never will. maybe they have good chemistry, but have never tried to explore it further, or don’t want to ruin their friendship. or maybe they flirt and think it’s a joke, but really it’s like a haha jk....unless  ?  type situation AKSJJKSD

ex-close friends - someone she used to consider a best friend, but they had a falling out for whatever reason. maybe they want to re-kindle their friendship but don’t know how, or they’re just accepting of the distance between them

take care / taken care of - ok so delilah doesnt drink or smoke a lot, but when she does, she is an extreme lightweight. maybe ur muse looks after her when she’s under the influence  ?  also  !!!  someone she looks after a lot. like she tries to take care of all her friends, but maybe she especially wants to take care of ur muse and has a soft spot for them  !!!

confidant - someone who confides in her or someone she confides in, or they confide in each other  !!!  they trust each other, and maybe they talk more in private. delilah isn’t very open about stuff, but she confides in ur muse maybe

bad influence - delilah hasn’t done a lot of bad or crazy things in her life, so i’d luvvvvv for a bad influence plot  !!  someone who gets her to do things she never would do otherwise. someone who can show her a fun time  !!

good influence - someone she can be a good influence on, someone she brings out the best in, maybe someone she rly cares about and wants to look after to make sure they’re ok  !!

diner days - she’s a waitress, maybe ur muse always shows up during her shifts to keep her company and get free milkshakes  !!  someone who helps her pass the time while she’s working

REASONS WHY YOU’RE STILL SINGLE: BECAUSE YOU’RE DATING A NARCISSIST, PART 2 (examples from my “entertained a narcissist” situationship)

Sadly it might have to be one of those horrible experiential learning kinds of situations where you can’t “know” what I’m talking about until you live through it.  But hopefully you catch any narcissistic and inappropriate behavior before it annihilates your spirit completely, and before it starts permanently making you doubt and question your own sound judgement and amazing qualities.  The less you tolerate narcissistic behavior, the better you fare.  

I’m gonna be vulnerable and admit that never in my wildest imagination of knowing myself, would ever think that I, of all people, could get emotionally manipulated by narcissistic behavior.  I like to consider myself a “no bullshit” kind of person.    Either way, I feel like I did take some narc bullets that still have me shook to this day as I learn more and more about myself and do the work of running through that relationship to learn from it.  

Here are 10 real life examples of red flags that I allowed to permanently enter my memory bank, because the chemistry and similarities between me and this dude seemed so unbelievable that I wasn’t thinking clearly.  I’m grateful to God that I still managed to picked up on some of the yellow lights and red flags.  When I dumped him, I literally had to tell myself “do it now, or you’re going to lose your nerve”.  I genuinely believe that was the holy spirit speaking to me.  Because on my own strength I would have stayed in, and what I have gained by parting ways is priceless in getting to know and love myself more.   

CLUE 1= He was still fully in touch wit his ex wife, and would openly  talk about being in touch with her.  At some points he even said he still loved her, despite saying that he loved me within one month of meeting me.  But I was that stupid and I ignored it.  In reality, a man should not be in touch with any past partners whatsoever unless he has kids with them.  And no one should say “I love you” to a complete stranger they just met a month ago, and then turn back around and also say they still love their ex-wife. Also, pay attention: EX wife.  There’s a reason they did not last. And it may have been him.  

CLUE  2= He started disclosing way too much about himself to me, a complete stranger that he had only known for about a month.  I now realize this was on purpose to make me feel like it was a “safe” space to disclose way the eff too much about myself way too soon.  Ladies, pay attention please. Nobody should be revealing classified information about your life to anyone who you have known for less than six months.  You should only be telling your most intense personal information to people who know you the absolute BEST, and who have made it into your inner circle after proving their trustworthiness to know your secrets, keep them, and never use them against you. 

CLUE 3= Whenever I would talk about things that excited and interested me, he would rapidly shut them down, make me feel dumb for being excited by my interests.  I was reading a David Goggins book and he tried so hard to shit on David Goggin’s accomplishments saying anyone could do Navy Seal swimming drills.  He also tried to accuse me of being sexually attracted to David Goggins (David Goggins is of neutral attraction to me, TBH.  One has to imagine David Goggins is not terrible in bed if he approaches sexuality with the same approach he uses for the rest of his life endeavors, lololol.  But that shouldn’t make anyone you date feel that insecure).  If I was excited by learning yoga inversions, he would say he did gymnastics for years as a kid and it’s not that big of a deal. If I said I wanted to learn to bake better cookies, he would say his aunt and mom were the best cookie bakers in the world.  After I baked a kick ass batch of chocolate chip cookies because he said he loved sweets, he wouldn’t even try one.  A narcissist will work hard to make you feel like you can’t ever be worthy or good enough.

CLUE 4= He refused to ever meet any of my friends. And I think this is because he refused to see me in an empowered state where other genuinely kind and awesome people were drawn to me just for being my kind and awesome self.  Weirdly, I had met all his friends and family within a month of knowing him.  

CLUE 5= He would repeatedly say that most people were dumb and sheep-like. Again, with this need to put others down.  

CLUE 6= He actively hated on complete strangers and nearly all of his family members.  Road rage with insults was a common occurrence.  

CLUE 8= He had a history of severe alcohol and substance addiction and abuse. His version of it was “I am in recovery and have been sober for X number of years.  I was arrested in the past for a DUI,  and that was the point that turned it all around and I knew I had to get sober.  I got myself sober with no help”.  

Well the truth was he was NOT completely sober-- he was still a hardcore pothead, and he still drank NA beers on the regular that tasted just like beer because they are beer.   I later ended up background checking him when I was learning how to use background check websites as research for this blog (which I’ll discuss in a future post); and uh... his history was WAY worse than he made it seem.  People with substance addiction issues are often narcissistic. The two often go hand in hand.  

CLUE 7= He once told me that during an argument with his brother and family, his brother said I was ugly. A solid BF would never pass on any indirect insults to his GF. I have a feeling that this was never true, TBH.   Steve Harvey has said in his book “Act Like a Lady Think Like a Man” that if a man truly loves a woman, he will protect her.  And that includes protecting her from anything negative anyone says about her.  If there’s one thing I know about me, I’m in “the pretty girls club”.  Not to sound conceited because looks aren’t everything and we will all end up old, gray, and wrinkled one day.  But I come from a family line of historically gorgeous women; and I have been a competitive and paid professional Tahitian dancer since I was 13.  Google “Tahitian dance Competition” or “Heiva i Tahiti” if you want to see what gorgeous women look like.   But the point is, to this day, that comment began to erode my self-esteem.

CLUE 8= At other times he unleashed passive aggressive insults such as “I can’t deal with your apparent relationship insecurities”-- I called him on this immediately.  And mind you, this line was how he responded when I asked him to join me at a BBQ invite with some of my friends, and I was disappointed when he said no.  

CLUE 9= he was arrogant.  Never did he fail to boast about all his accomplishments, skills, and intelligence.  He also had a lot of grandiose ideas.  

CLUE 10= when I dumped him, he immediately responded by calling me a “train wreck” and a “bitch”.  At no point was there a “wait.. what?  Please don’t do this.  We need to talk, I’m calling you/ I’m coming over, I still want to be with you”.  I’m not kidding in the least when I say his immediate response was “I dodged a major train wreck. Good luck bitch, you gonna need it.  

Well, good luck, narcissists of the world, you gonna need it.  Because narcissists and narcissistic behavior are the real train wrecks we all need to learn to avoid if we want to date successfully.

Stage one: Emotions. How often do you take actions you regret? Not super often, but it’ll come up once in a while.

Do you often feel guilty? As someone who was raised in a verbally abusive household and was always blamed, corrected, or shamed for not knowing any better, you bet your ass I feel guilty all the time. ‘Sorry’ is probably in my top 50 most used words haha. Do you have a short temper? A little bit, yeah. I got my mom’s impatience for most situations and I’m also a bit of a perfectionist, so if I’m in work mode and I see that something’s askew I’ll be fussy about it until it’s fixed.

When was the last time you lashed out at someone? This afternoon when I was feeling super stressed and was venting to Gabie, but I had the vibe that she wasn’t all ears. And why was that? Because I would assume anyone would feel shitty when they’re ranting to someone they trust and that person acts like they aren’t listening?

Does it always seem like the entire world is out to get you? I have weeks like this, but it’s not constant. Overall, I think the world is mostly decent with me. Have you ever had a serious mental break down? Yeup, tons. What led up to this? (sadness, depression, fury, confusion, etc) I’m not getting into them lmao? Do you believe it is just natural for humans to feel lonely? Of course. Everyone goes through their own battles that makes them feel this way, and sometimes the physical presence of other people or having a packed schedule wouldn’t be enough either. Do you ever feel lonely, even in the presence of those you know or love? Yeah, that’s what I was just trying to say in the last question. There’ve been a few times I wasn’t feeling my best, and I thought going to Skywalk was going to fix stuff but it didn’t. Do you believe that these are the "best years of your life"? High school and college were, but I'm expecting to stumble a bit in the next few years as I try to navigate adulthood and make the best of my 20s. I think it’s normal though as I know most people feel the same when they’re in their mid-20s, so I’ve come to terms with the fact that it might not be the best years for a while. Or do you follow the "the best is yet to come" philosophy? Yeah, but I also don’t just depend on the future to be great. I’m able to realize when there’s good things happening in the present too. Does it sometimes feel like your life is being wasted or not going anywhere? Occasionally. Nothing good comes out of those thoughts though, so I never entertain them. Tell me about the last time you were truly, truly happy. Sometime in January. I drove my girlfriend to her place and there was no one home, so we used that time to catch up and talk and watch Titanic haha. Being it was the beginning of the sem, I still didn’t have any class requirements or org deliverables so it was really just an evening to spend time with her. I love moments like those the most because it’s when I’m reminded how much I love having her around. Stage two: Relationships. How long was your longest relationship? My current one, which is running at four years. Though we’ve been linked together for much longer than that, so whenever I wanna impress people a little bit more I also sometimes say six years hahahaha How old were you when you had your first boyfriend or girlfriend? I was 16. Do you (or have you ever) had feelings for the SAME sex? Yes, that’s my situation right now. Do you consider yourself gay or bisexual? How strongly do you feel about it? For a while I thought I was bi because I liked Gab and had small crushes on some guys we were friends with in high school. It was also because everyone in school who also liked girls considered themselves bi, so me thinking I was bi was mostly an environment thing and I just thought I was one of them as well, because it was all I heard about. Through the years other orientations were given awareness, and eventually I found that demisexuality is most fitting for me. Have you ever had your heart broken? Many times in a lot of ways. Did you ever honestly believe you were going to marry your high school bf/gf? I mean, I still think that until now. Is it harder to get dumped or do the dumping? I’ve only been on one side of this so I wouldn’t know how to compare. Have you been able to stay good friends with any of your exes? Yes, but it took a while before we could mend our friendship. We couldn’t talk to each other for a couple of months but we patched things up after realizing our friendship was too important to throw away just because of a breakup. If so, is there any tension (sexual or not) between the two of you? There was, after a short while lol. Hence us getting back together anyway. Would you ever date someone that your friend liked or HAD dated? I wouldn’t do that. When was the last time you were kissed? First week of March. Are you a virgin? Do you believe virginity is "sacred"? No and no. How many times have you been in love? Was it always real? Once and yes. Stage three: Friendships. Would you say that you have a lot of friends? Yep. I’m really glad I’ve met a lot of progress when it comes to this. All I wanted in Grade 6 was one friend and now I have more friends than I ever imagined having, so it feels pretty awesome. Have you ever been considered to be a "loner"? Yeah, throughout elementary and some parts of high school. People would only talk to you if you shared the same interests, and back then I couldn’t find anyone who was like me. It made it hard to talk to anyone period because everyone already had their own set of friends. How often do you hang out with your friends? I obviously can’t now, but before the lockdown I would hang out with at least one friend a day. There’s always at least one person at our org lounge so it was easy to find someone to study with, get street food with, have lunch with, etc. Do you have a specific hang out or house that you go to? Yeah, the org lounge that we call Skywalk. It’s habit for anyone in the org to just drop by there when we have free time, or if we wanna hang out together. If my orgmates and I don’t feel like being at Skywalk, we go to a nearby bar called Tomato Kick. I have another friend group that includes Angela, and for that bunch we typically go to another local bar in the area for cocktails and shisha. Have you ever done anything illegal to help a friend? Other than giving them movie files I’ve pirated...no not really lol If not, would you be willing to? What would be your limit? Eh, I don’t like breaking the rules so I probably wouldn’t go all that far to begin with. Who is your best friend? VERY best. Choose. Angela. Have any of your friends ever stabbed you in the back? Yes, but they’re not my friends anymore. Did you forgive them? Are you still friends? No and no. Are your friends the only people that "get you"? I don’t think so. I’ve become pretty flexible through the years and can mostly adjust depending on who I’m with. Do you think your friends know you better than your own parents? They absolutely do. Have you ever lost a close friend because they died? I didn’t count Nacho as a close friend (cause I’m super particular about that title lol), but he was my friend all the same. Have you ever lost a friend because they gained a bf/gf and dropped you? No, this hasn’t happened. Are your friends your support system? =] Yes. Stage four: Family Life Are both your parents alive? They are. Were you raised by your biological parents? Technically I was raised by my grandma for most of my childhood haha, but yeah both my parents were present. Has your family ever been broken? I have an aunt (dad’s sister) who has had a couple unsuccessful relationships, but nothing in my immediate family. Do you think your parents respect your space? My dad does, which I hugely appreciate. My mom doesn’t know the basic rules of privacy and has never even learned how to knock. She just barges in, which puts me in a sour mood literally every single time she does it. Are you close with you siblings, if you have any? I’m a little close with my sister, like we crack jokes together and never fight and stuff, but not emotionally close. For instance I wasn’t able to physically comfort her when her cat died, but I made sure to flood her Messenger with messages to let her know I cared. I don’t have any relationship with my brother whatsoever. How often does your family fight or have big arguments? We don’t normally fight as a family. It’s mostly me and my mom who butt heads. Does your family hold very high religious beliefs? My mom does... we’re just forced to go along with it because she’s a bit of a brat and if we don’t do things her way, she’ll slam doors and bump against us on purpose, petty shit like that to let her know she isn’t happy. Are you the "black sheep" of your household? I used to be. I was a handful to deal with and there was just a lot of angst inside of me; and I attribute that to the abuse I got from my mom early on, which I’ve never gotten a resolution or closure to. Throughout my teen years she was able to twist the story and surface as the wonderful mother while I was the troubled teen that would never amount to anything, so it definitely looked like I was the black sheep. Thankfully I rose above it as I got older. Have you ever in anger told your parent(s) that you hated them? No. How often are you diciplined or punished or grounded? This has only happened a handful of times. Grounding isn’t common here and as mean as my mom was, she liked sticking to verbal abuse than punishment. The worst thing my parents did was take my gadgets and that only happened like twice. Do you feel like you are allowed to express yourself inside your own home? No. I have a whole-ass four-year relationship my parents have no clue about. Are your parents very controlling of the person "they want you to be"? Nope, they give me freedom which I give them credit for. They never told me what course they wanted me to take in college, what career they want for me, none of that stuff. Your family really does love each other, doesn't it? I guess. It could always be a little more, though. Are you planning to move away when you turn 18? I’m 22 now and I’m still here, so.

A/N: LET ME START OFF BY SAYING BAD BOY IN LOVE - LEE DONGHYUCK IS COMING SOON!!!!! butttttt my manz Taeyong ;))) nsajbchjbwjbcd this is kinda angst. i’m sorry!!! but it’ll end all good. i was in a relationship for a while where my boyfriend was really jealous and didn’t like my guy friends and lemme tell you, it’s not fun or cool. as much as people write about how jealousy is “cute” it can be something that breaks relationships and friendships and it could even lead to abuse. yeah, everyone can get jealous but if it ever gets out of hand, tell someone. ahhhh sorry for all my speeches i always put but i care about you guys and i don’t ever want you to be sad :(( i love you guys and thanks for the support!

so let’s start with how you and Tae came to be

you met Taeyong at a concert two years ago

One of your friends bought you a ticket to a summer festival for your birthday

since you always spoke about how much you wanted to experience one

at first, you were worried about going to a crowded concert alone

because

let’s be honest

you were scared to go to the movies by yourself

how could you go to a whole day long festival alone?

but for some reason as soon as you got there

you felt comfortable

you stood in the crazy long line

and watched the people around you

laugh and talk with their friends

you kind of wished you had someone to talk to as well

well this is where ur boi Taeyong comes in

its like he read your mind

because as you stood there thinking about how lonely you must look,

he was wondering how he should approach you

he was in line directly behind you and tbh he thought you were pretty cute

but you were by yourself and for some reason that made him sad

but happy at the same time bc he was alone too

so after thinking about it for wayyyy too long

he just taps your shoulder on impulse

“hey i’m taeyong. are you here alone? i’m here alone too.”

and that’s where it started for you guys

you spent that whole day together and even ended up swapping phone numbers

you thought Taeyong was so sweet and nice

and he was

but from the beginning

he definitely had a softer side for you and you only

so you guys began hanging out when ever you both were free

and it got to the point where you guys would adjust your schedules just so you could find time to be together

and of course, you both started developing feelings for each other

Taeyong was the first to confess his feelings

it was kind of unexpected 

you guys had planned a day at the board walk

there were boats you could rent so you and Taeyong decided to try them out

so here you guys were

in the middle of this lake

just chillin in a boat

when out of nowhere, Taeyong just says it

“y/n, i like you.”

you were shocked, to say the least bc

you never thought someone like Taeyong would actually like you back

but after he further explained his feelings, you were beyond ecstatic

you guys were together

throughout your relationship with Taeyong, you’ve noticed the little things that irritate him, make him smile, make him upset

all his little quirks 

and you have come to be quite good at reading his emotions

even when he looks like he’s happy, he could be angry

when he looks upset, he could actually be relieved of something

basically, you have just come to know him like the back of your hand

sooo now that we’ve explained all of that, let’s get to present time

you and Taeyong have been together for a little over a year now at this point

before you guys started even dating, he met your friends

so it was normal for both you and Taeyong to show up to your friend’s parties

you two are currently on your way to one of your best friends bday parties

your best friend Johnny literally rented out a whole ass bdubs just to throw his birthday party

this kid is extra

but you and Taeyong decide to walk from your place, since it’s not that far from the restaurant

it’s a little chilly outside, even with Taeyong’s coat around your shoulders

“are you still cold?” Taeyong asks you 

you nod

Taeyong puts his arm around you, trying to warm you up more

you’re pretty happy in your relationship right now

Taeyong is even more of a gentleman than before

he’s perfect in your eyes

and you’re perfect in his

all you’ve been is good to him 

and best believe that he shows you his appreciation

whenever Taeyong is going through a rough time, whether it’s with his family or he’s just having a bad day

you are always there for him

and he honestly feels like he is the luckiest man on the planet because he has you

Taeyong glances down at you as you guys reach the restaurant

he thinks you look great tonight

as he pulls open the door for you, he smiles to himself

he walks in behind you and brings you closer to him

“let’s go find Johnny.” you tell him as you grab his hand

Johnny’s party was packed 

it’s no surprise tho, because he’s a social butterfly who just love, love, loves meeting new peeps

you and Tae squeeze through people, trying to look for Johnny 

even though it’s making you lowkey claustrophobic you see so many friends you haven’t seen in a while 

so it’s nice

after some more maneuvering you guys spot Johnny 

but before you can get to him you and Taeyong hear your name 

”Y/N!” 

you turn to see the one and only Wong Yukhei

your first love 

”Yukhei!” you yell back as you spin to hug him 

Taeyong follows close behind you, eyeing Yukhei 

Tae knows exactly who Yukhei is 

before you and Tae began dating, he had seen the pictures of you two on your instagram

he didn’t like him for the simple fact that he once had you 

 “How are you? It’s been so long! You look amazing!” Yukhei compliments 

as you two chat, it feels as if Taeyong isn’t there

he watches you and Yukhei talk 

he can just feel the anger rise within him 

Taeyong pushes himself next to you, making his presence obvious to Yukhei (as if it wasn’t before but ok yongie)

”oh, Yukhei! this is Taeyong.” you introduce him 

”y/n’s boyfriend.” Taeyong adds, glaring at Yukhei 

”oh, hello. i’m Yukhei.” he says awkwardly 

Yukhei holds his hand out for Taeyong to shake

but what does Tae do? 

he stares at his hand, not even flinching 

you nudge him, beginning to feel embarrassed by his behavior 

Yukhei awkwardly retracts his hand 

“well, i guess i’ll see you around, y/n.”

you nod before waving bye to him 

as you watch Yukhei walk away, you feel Yong grab your arm 

you shake him off bc ur seriously annoyed and embarrassed that he acted like that to Yukhei, who has always been nothing but nice 

before you can walk away Taeyong grabs you again

“where are you going y/n?” Taeyong is hot on your heels as you continue trying to walk away from him towards Johnny

Johnny sees you two and smiles

but of course as soon as he sees the expression on your face, his smile fades

“what’s wrong guys?”

instead of you telling him the real reasons you look annoyed,

ur bf decides to tell him what he saw

“that Yukhei kid, her ex? yeah he was getting too close to her.”

yeah, he really said that

“are you serious?” you say to Taeyong

Taeyong doesn’t see why you’re so mad

but the fact that you’re angry is making him angry

he was only trying to protect your relationship

he just couldn’t lose you to someone else--especially your ex and first love

because you know what they say

you never really forget your first love

but Taeyong wants to make you forget him

he wishes you two could have met earlier so he could have been your first love

it’s not fair

but since he has you now, he’ll love you more and better than Yukhei ever could have

you roll your eyes and begin to move towards Johnny 

“he’s acting rude and jealous for no reason. we’ve almost been together for two years!” you spill to him

as you stand by your best friend, Taeyong honestly feels irritated bc

you should be thankful that he cares that much

right?

“we’ve been together for a while, but you were basically flirting with your ex!”

Taeyong yells, causing a bunch of people to look over

“i was not flirting! if you think asking how someone’s been is flirting, then you need some serious help.” you’re done with him

Taeyong has never acted like this for as long as you’ve known him

why is he starting to now?

out of everyone who heard your voices, Yukhei happened to be one

“is there a problem?” he asks, stepping in front of you and johnny

(Johnny is honestly shook)

Taeyong is #$***//FUMING\\***$#

“our conversations are none of your business” he steps towards Yukhei

“you’re shouting for everyone else to hear” Yukhei fires back

you squeeze between the two--who have not broken eye contact

“guys, stop” you say, glancing at the both of them 

“no, this guy is gonna get what’s coming to him” Taeyong tries stepping closer to Yukhei

“Tae! stop!” you yell as you try to push him away from Yukhei, who’s being held back by Johnny

“why are you defending him, y/n? i’m your boyfriend, not him!” 

by now, everyone has stopped what they were doing, and they’re paying attention to the current situation

Jaehyun has joined you in trying to keep Taeyong back

but of course you can’t really hold two grown men lmao back

Jaehyun cannot hold Taeyong back 

he’s moving forward

he is so ready to fight

and so is Yukhei

you try to get in the middle

but unfortunately

when some people get to their breaking points, they black out and don’t realize what they’re doing

Taeyong seems to be one of those people

without thinking, he pushes you away

but it wasn’t just a soft push

Taeyong seemed to use all his strength which resulted in you falling to the floor, quite hard

but as soon as he’s done it

everyone becomes quiet

he realizes his mistake almost immediately after

“y-y/n, i’m--i didn’t”

you’re shocked

never in a million years did you think Taeyong would do something of the sort

“dude i think you should leave” Johnny tells Taeyong as both him and Jaehyun help you up

“wait y/n--”

“Tae, leave.” Jaehyun demands as they take you away from the situation

you can feel the tears beginning to form in your eyes

“y/n, baby i’m--”

this time you stop yong

“we’re done” you say as you turn around to leave with Jaehyun

tears are streaming down your face and you’re embarrassed that any of that just happened

Jaehyun quickly gets you to his car while Johnny trails behind

you turn to Johnny as hug him like your life depended on it

“i’m so sorry for ruining your birthday” you sob

Johnny pats your back “you didn’t ruin my birthday. plus, you know i love when the three of us spend time together.” he tries making you feel better

but you feel absolutely horrible

Jaehyun speeds up the process of you getting into the car when you three see Taeyong come out of the venue

“i’ll take care of this. go on, i’ll be there soon.” Johnny closes your door before Jaehyun reverses the car

after what Taeyong did, you don’t know if you’ll ever be able to look at him the same again
