WHEN I NEEDED YOU masterlist
a week after Vi was discharged from the hospital, she returned to college. she wasnât allowed to play yet, but she didnât miss a single practice, even if it just meant warming up with the others and then sitting on the bench to watch. she recovered quickly, but if you hadnât insisted, she wouldâve tried to play on the first day back. the doctor had strictly forbidden it, and you made sure to keep an eye on her. though Vi was eager to return to her normal pace, full recovery required time, as the risks were still too high.
another bit of good news - Troy was no longer on the team or even at college. you saw him clearing out his locker as his parents and security escorted him away. when you asked your dad if he knew anything about it, he simply kissed your forehead and told you not to worry. either way, you didnât mind; whatever your father had done, it had worked. truth be told, it even scared you a little, but Troy got what he deserved. naturally, all accusations were dropped, and your mom mentioned in confidence that your father had threatened Troyâs family, saying youâd press charges for assault and all the vile things their son had done. it was a relief to finally exhale; for a moment, it even felt like the air without your ex was lighter.
without Troyâs bullying, Josh finally left the team, free from the person whoâd tormented him for years. he seemed to have started playing guitar in his garage. but the biggest surprise was that heâd found a partner. according to Trish, they met at the last match and hit it off, though homophobic Troy had always intimidated Josh, and for good reason. long story short, many people in his social circle felt better without him, and you were glad it was over.
after classes, you met Vi in the parking lot. she kissed you on the lips and wrapped her arms around your waist, letting her hands slide lower. smiling mid-kiss, she murmured, âmaybe I should transfer to another schoolâ
âand whyâs that?â you teased, slipping your hands under her shirt, pushing her jacket aside, and pulling her closer, which made Vi bite your lip.
âI canât focus on school or anything serious when you walk around looking so gorgeous and tempting,â she said, squeezing your hips and leaning you against the hood of her car.
âI canât stand my loneliness, especially when you two are kissing so sweetly out here for all to see,â interrupted a voice. it was Trish, standing behind you with her arms crossed. âjust a reminder, Vi, that I was the one who first told your new girlfriend how beautiful you are, so both of you owe meâ
finally, you and Vi let go of each other and laughed. Vi took your hand and said, âand Iâll be forever grateful to you for itâ
âready to go?â you asked Trish, who was still grinning as she watched the two of you.
âI came to say I wonât be able to make it today. momâs not feeling well, and I want to stay with her. do you mind if we reschedule for tomorrow?â Trish said, looking a little apologetic.
âof course, no problem at all. send her my best and wish her a speedy recovery. if sheâd like, I can bring over some of my momâs special soup; itâs really delicious,â you replied understandingly.
âthat would be wonderful. thank you, Iâll text you about tomorrowâ Trish gave you a quick hug goodbye before hurrying home.
âwhere were you two going, and whatâs been rescheduled for tomorrow?â Vi asked, curious.
âthe library. we have a history test coming up, and Trish and I often go there to focus. thereâs a total silence rule, so we canât gossip or listen to music. it sounds odd, but we get distracted so easily that the libraryâs our only hope,â you explained.
âwant me to go with you?â she looked into your eyes. âunless this is some kind of special friend ritual?â
âno, no, nothing like that, but are you sure you want to sit quietly for an hour with a history book?â you raised an eyebrow at her.
âyes, especially since I have the test too. Iâm not playing right now, so the coach wonât be able to get me extra credit for athletic involvement,â Vi said a little sadly, clearly missing her usual active lifestyle. but you werenât giving in - the doctorâs orders were law, especially for Vi, and she deserved the best care.
âalright, then, letâs go,â you decided to steer the topic away from sports to take her mind off it.
âwhy an hour, though?â Vi asked, referring to what you had mentioned earlier.
âwell, itâs not strict or anything, just a rule Trish and I came up with: an hour of uninterrupted studying, then any break or distraction we want. itâs like a little motivation,â you shrugged with a smile.
âif itâs the rule, then letâs follow it,â Vi said as she opened the passenger door for you and got behind the wheel.
ten minutes later, you arrived. there werenât many people there, so you took your and Trishâs usual seats near the bookshelves. as youâd told Vi, there was complete silence, only occasionally broken by the sound of turning pages. Vi sat next to you, taking off her jacket and hanging it on the back of the chair. when she turned back, she caught you staring at her hands, biting your lip, which made her smile and raise an eyebrow. you felt a bit embarrassed, but it wasnât surprising - you never focused on Trish this way, yet with Vi nearby, you realized it might be a little harder to concentrate.
you quickly looked away, pulling out a sheet with the test questions. each question had a list of recommended books to review. pointing out a few titles to Vi, you both set off to find them. the history section had plenty of books, so it took a little time to gather what you needed.
Vi leaned over to you and very quietly asked where she should find a particular book, you pointed to the bottom shelf, and she nodded. running your eyes over the stand with books, you saw that a little higher is hidden a book, the author of which is your teacher, usually it is occupied by someone, but today was a good day. when you reached for her, Vi looked up and was very pleased with what she saw. the length of your skirt gave a good view of your underwear, which made Vi feel incredible desire and attraction. she carefully stood up and slowly ran her hand down your leg from your ankle to your thigh until her fingers were under your skirt. you almost didn't let go of the book from your surprise, your eyes became round and goosebumps ran through your body, you wanted to say something, but Vi only put her index finger to her lips. she took the book and placed it on the shelf, leaving her other hand on your butt, glancing over at you, she smiled at you, desire burning in her eyes, you felt incredibly attracted to her, so you moved a little closer. her lips covered yours, you tasted her as her warm tongue slipped between yours, Vi pulled you closer to you, squeezing your butt tighter, her other hand ending up under your shirt, her thumb gently caressing your skin as her lips kissed you.
she pulled away from you and leaned into your ear, saying âthe rule of complete silence, remember?â. her fingers ran up the fabric of your panties under your skirt and she ran her hand down touching you. she smirked when she felt how wet you were, running a finger over your clit you rested your head on her shoulder holding back a moan. every movement seems very slow and you wanted more, you could feel the vibrations going through your body when her finger started stimulating your clit more actively, you held on to her with your hands so you wouldn't fall. she covered you with her lips again and you felt her finger enter you, a wave of pleasure covered your body, you immediately started to move on it, kissing her more passionately, your hips moving and your body getting heavier. she wasn't about to stop, her finger digging into you harder and harder as you struggled to hold back a scream. only the rustle of the books reminded you where you were now, you almost didn't care, you could feel your wetness running on her finger, you were so wet and excited that you didn't care if they could hear you now, you wanted her touch, you wanted to cum from her fingers, you wanted to show her what pleasure she brings you. when her second finger was inside you tightened your grip on her, and Vi sped up as much as possible, your legs were just shaking at this point. Vi's other hand pulled your bra down and squeezed your breasts, you threw your head back and surrendered to the feeling, you came so hard it made your head spin. holding you, she pulled her hand out of your panties and pressed you against the bookshelf, kissing you again. her lips moved to your neck and trailed down.
âwhat are you doing?â you said almost inaudibly in surprise.
Vi just looked up at you and answered âyou said we had an hourâ
goosebumps ran down your spine and she returned to your neck again, kneeling, Vi placed your leg over her shoulder and lifted your skirt, putting her index finger to her lips again to keep you quiet.
her fingers gently pulled your panties to the side, and she ran her tongue over your pussy, collecting a mess you had done earlier. your body was so heavy that you grabbed the shelf with one hand to keep from falling. her lips pressed against your wetness, she didn't tease like before, her tongue was immediately inside you, you opened your mouth again in a silent moan and ran a hand into her hair. Vi's hands wrapped around your ass, and she ate you out greedily as you held back a moan. she was sucking your clit and running her tongue which was giving you incredible pleasure, you were moving your hips to ride her face as she explored your most intimate place. the second orgasm didn't take long, you came from her tongue even faster than from her fingers. you didn't have any strength left, but how nice it was. she put your panties back in place and climbed on top of you.
âI see you liked it,â she said teasingly. you just bit your lip and nodded, straightening your skirt.
âmaybe next time I can sit on your face properlyâ you winked at Vi and ran your finger over her lips which were still wet from you.
âno reason to wait, you can still stand soâŚâ Vi smiled and took your things and led you by the hand out of the library to the questioning looks of the others.

Hey love request again-
Seth x reader where his imprint thinks he only loves her cause the imprint bond, but he tries to explain itâs her he loves. Like some long angst then fluffâŚor whatever đđ
You bang against Seth's bedroom door. "Seth Clearwater! Open up!"
He opens it, shirtless and his hair in a mess. "What? What is it?" He grabs your waist and looks over you.
"Can you stop?" You shove his hands off of you. "Stop being nice to me! I refuse to become subjected to this forced bond!" You yell.
He stares at you blankly. "How'd you get in my house? I.. lock the door."
You lift up the key that he left in your house.
"Oh.. right. Can we please talk?" He gently touches your shoulders.
You shake your head. "No. Leave me alone. You don't love me, Seth. It's the stupid bond." You back away.
He steps closer. "Y/n, I love you. I loved you before the bond." He says.
You don't know what to believe. Way back when you both were younger, you'd just see him around town. You both got along and became acquainted. But when his father died, everything changed. Now, you BELONG to him. But... it's forced. He doesn't love you?
"You're lying." You whisper.
"If I was, would I have tried this hard?! Do you remember how I flirted with you so bad when we were kids?" His eyes water. "If I could go back and ask you then and not be so shy, I would."
You breathe out a shaky breath and shake your head. "God, this can't be real." You run your fingers through your hair.
He brings you in a hug. He holds onto you and rubs your back to calm you down. He has always done this while you were upset. But now is not the time.
You push away and look at him. "I'm gonna go home."
----
You're at the beach, sitting with Leah. You watch as the wolves laugh with their imprints. They seem so in love, but you believe what your mind is telling you.
"You know, it's not what you think. Seth does love you." Leah says.
Leah has been a good friend of yours. She doesn't talk much about what's between you and Seth. But sometimes she will vouch for him. He is her brother, so you understand.
"How would you know?" You turn your head to face her.
"Because before dad died, you were all he talked about. He was a twelve year old that swore he knew he loved you." She starts laughing. "The universe only told him he was right."
You look down and then look at the water where Seth and Quil wrestle.
---
You walk down the sidewalk to the bar with your new friend, who is your coworker. She seems cool, so you agreed to go to the bar with her. You figured it'd be a good opportunity to get your mind off of Seth.
You both walk inside, and you see a bunch of people. Some are sitting and drinking. A lot are walking around, visiting, or dancing to the blaring music.
Blake gasps as she notices a guy at a seat. "Hubba hubba." She chuckles.
"Eh, I thought this was a girls' night!" You whine.
"It sure is." She winks.
You end up drinking alone. Blake is dancing with the guy and had just forgotten you were there.
"Care to explain why a beautiful woman like you is by herself tonight?"
You look up from the bar table and see a man sitting beside you. He has a half smile on his face. He's tall with pale skin and blue eyes. His hair is in a military cut. You look at his wrist and see an army bracelet. Hmm.. a military mam.
"Uhm, I'm just being ditched." You giggle and sip your drink.
"Hey, sir? Can I get a shot of whiskey?" He asks the bartender. He turns back to you and nudges you. "Who ditched?"
You nod your head to the dancing people. "My friend. She found a guy."
He laughs and then takes the shot that is handed to him. "I think you just found your guy." He winks.
You get a random flash image of Seth in your mind. His face is looking at you like he did a few years back when you told him you don't want to be a part of the bond. His face breaks your heart.
You feel guilty. And the thought of being with this guy tonight is grossing you out.
"No, I'm not looking for anything." You smile.
"I respect that. Want to just drink and chat?" He smiles back.
"Sure." You turn to the bartender. "Hey, sir. May I get another (your drink)."
He nods his head and gets your drink for you.
"So, I'm guessing you're in the army." You look at his bracelet.
"Yeah. I'm home for the week. I don't really like serving." He takes another shot.
"How come?" You sip your drink.
"I miss home a lot. I uh, also don't want to serve a government that doesn't care about us." He smiles.
"I see. I still believe you have a good heart for joining." You reply.
"Pfft. I joined for the free schooling. I plan to become a cop. A good cop."
You drink more and more... and then more. Blake left with that guy. You and this guy you learned to be Tyler have been getting drunk by the minute.
"I just, I'm so over my life. I'm exhausted." You slurr and drop your head on the table. You're thinking of Seth.
"Fucking tell me about it." He agrees.
Your phone starts ringing and you answer. "Helloooo."
"Y/n? Where are you?" It's Seth. He's panicking.
"I'm okay. I'm at the bar." You groan.
"Damn it.." He hisses and then hangs up.
"Who was that?" Tyler asks.
"My..." You think carefully of what to say. "It's complicated." You sigh.
"Gotcha." He says.
After a few minutes, Seth barges in. He walks to you and gently takes your hand from the table.
"Hey!" You call out.
"Dude.'' Tyler says. He tries to grab your arm so your hand leaves Seth's hand.
"Let her go, man. She's my girlfriend." Seth says.
"No." You slurr and stand up. You stumble out the door.
Both guys follow you. You step over the sidewalk and bend over. You're about to blow.
"Who even are you?" Seth asks.
"Tyler. Who are you?" He asks.
"Her boyfriend, Seth!" He responds.
"I didn't know she had a man." He replies.
You throw up.
"Shit." Seth runs to you. He rubs your back and pulls your hair back. "It's fine. It's okay." He whispers.
God, his touches. The way he treats you. You feel so bad. He has been like this toward you since before all of this. Maybe you do believe him...
You collapse on the ground and in his arms. You breathe hard. "Seth.. can you take me home?" You ask.
He takes you to your house and you stop at your front door. He stands next to you while you fumble for your key to unlock the door. You find it and look at him. He looks back at you:
"Why are you looking at me like that?" You ask.
"Because I'm hurt." He responds.
"Me too. I'm mad at myself." You open your door.
You both walk in, and he goes straight to your bathroom. You hear him running the shower. You go in your room and drop your stuff on the bed and take off your jacket. Seth walks in the room.
"Are you sobering up?" He asks.
"A bit." You smile.
"I've got your shower going." He says.
"Thank you, Seth." You walk over to him.
You wrap your arms around his neck and pull his face down. He wraps his arms around you and smiles.
"Do you believe me?" He asks.
"Yeah. I love you."
His smile widens, and he slowly leans in. You hesitate but go in for it. You both kiss. It's slow and soft. This is the first time you two have kissed. You feel that chemistry. You feel... like this is all you've ever wanted and needed. He pulls away and places his forehead on yours.

Strong Man
Happy Veterans Day, y'all! As a daughter and niece of veterans, I wanted to give you all a little treat. Especially after remembering Jacob was in fact in a military movie and Aaron plays a former military man. Also Reggie and Terry are Marine Corps men so why not have him join the fold. Enjoy!!!!
P.S. This is just a one-off where Armando always knew his father and joined the Marine Corps with his friends Terry and Reggie instead of leading the cartel...
Armando
Finishing the final strides to my barracks, I came back one last time to say goodbye to my family. "Ohhhh! He's growing so fast!" My uncle Marcus wailed sniffling into his tissue as my dad and I shook our heads. "Will you quit your nonsense, Marcus?" "I can't help it, Mike. He was just a little baby on your hip, now he's going to the Marines." He cried more and more as he suffocated me into a hug. "Don't you have your own family to say goodbye to?" I asked pointing out his daughter and wife as they hugged her boyfriend, Reggie." "Damn, Reggie! You're my nephew, man. I'm gonna miss you."
Chuckling, I hugged him before turning my attention over to my dad. "C'mere, man." He smiled on the verge of tears as he pulled me into a warm hug. "You're not turning soft on me are you, old man?" "I see you got jokes, son. This old man can still whoop yo lil Mexican ass." He chimed as we laughed together. Patting my back, he held my forehead to his and smiled. "I'm proud of you, son." "Thank you, papa. That means the world to me." Giving out all the last hugs and kisses I could afford, I dapped up Reggie before we grabbed our duffle bags and headed inside to start our new lives.
**MONTHS LATER**
Dapping up my boys, Terry and Reggie, I strapped on my gear as we chattered about our plans for the night on the way to our dorms. "So run it by me again, man? What's the plans?" "We hitting the bar on McIntosh in downtown. You in, Reggie?" "Nahhh, not tonight guys. I'm taking a visit to my lady." Reggie said holding his hands up in defense as we groaned. "Ohhhh, baby girl got you pussy whipped, huh?" Terry jibed while he nodded. "Aye, that's my wife you talking about. And yea, I like spending time with my baby." "Awwww, your babyyyy. Answer me this? When you gone make an honest woman outta Megan? Itâs been long enough, bro." I said recounting when they met. "If she'll take me, hell tonight." He smirked flashing us the bright ring he had stored in his duffle. "Ohhhh shit! Now thatâs what the fuck Iâm talking about." Tee hooted as I smiled. "Tryna tell you young bucks, you gotta find the woman for you and her an honest one." "Young buck? Bro, we're the same age." "Hey, I'm just saying." "Whatever, man. Tell us how it goes." "Gotcha gotcha."
Throwing on my shirt, I threw on my watch and chain before hitting myself a couple times with cologne and grabbing my phone and wallet. Headed up to Terry's dorm, I sent a few raps to the door before waiting for his arrival. Watching him come out, I frowned my brows before laughing. "Bro, what the fuck do you have on?" I questioned analyzing his choice of attire. "Hey, what can I say? The ladies love coming to the gun show." He boasted pumping his swollen biceps as I shook my head. "Whatever, dickhead, let's go."
Pulling up to the club, we parked valet before heading in and taking our place at the bar. Ordering a couple beers, we waltzed over to the pool tables as we each scoped the scenery around us. Bumping my head to the music, I stopped squinting my eyes as they landed on this beautiful woman sitting at a booth with her friend. "Aye, I'll be right back." I said leaving Terry as I headed over. "I see ya, boy!" He hooted surrounded by thirsty women. Walking over, I stopped just behind her as friend looked up and smiled. "Well, hi there!" "How are you ladies tonight?" I said putting on the charm as she turned to fully face me. Gorgeous was an understatement with this one. "My name is Armando, and you are?" "My name is Laila and this is my girl, DiamontĂŠ." "DiamontĂŠ, huh? That's a very unique name." "Why thank you. I can say the same for you, Armando." "Oh can you?" I smirked eyeing her lustfully as I smoothly brought her hand up to my lips.
Terry
Watching my boy work his magic, I cheesed before bringing my attention back to the ladies surrounding me. "You said you're in the Navy, right?" "Marines, little mama." I flirted tapping her chin as she flushed red. "So is that how you got such big arms?" "Nah, I been working out long before I joined. Want me to demonstrate, baby?" Nodding nervously, I smiled a devilish grin before whisking her up into my arms and hitting some bicep curls as she giggled with her friends. Setting her down, I cheesed as they all flirtatiously offered their numbers.
Heading out of the bar with Armando in tow, we drove back up to base and signed in before heading up to our rooms for curfew. Whipping off my sweaty and smelly clothes, I tossed em in the laundry basket before taking another shower. Coming out, I let the steam wrap me in a warm embrace as I looked down at my phone to see if I had any missed notifications. Seeing none from the one girl I actually wanted to talk to, I clenched my jaw as I logged into Facebook. Smiling at the memories of old friends and family as they updated on their current lives, I tapped the search bar and smoothly typed her name. Watching her page come up at the top of the search as it always did, I tapped her profile breathing a ragged breath as an image of her with another man shadowed my view. Clearing my throat, I shook my head quickly logging out before tossing my phone to the side and laying down on my pillow. I can talk to all the girls in the world, it'll never compare to her.
Y'all the outpouring of love I've been receiving is truly heartwarming. I had truly given up on writing after the mishaps with my other stories and you guys are giving me the push to continue đĽšđĽšđĽšđĽš

âCome on, itâs my wedding and I want you as my best man. Do it for your best friend.â
The sky had been clear when he landed, a bright blue cloudless sky that resembled the clarity of the sea he had left behind. The air already seemed stiffer and the bleakness of the airport brought his mood down almost immediately.
The only thing to make him somewhat happy to be home was the sight of the person in front of him, a huge grin on his face as he saw him. The man was dressed casual in a pair of sweats and a hoodie but the small details of his watch matched with the luxury car parked outside brought unwelcome attention to Jungkook when people stared.
âI was worried you bailed last minute,â Namjoon said with a grin as he pulled him into a hug, âItâs good to see you.â
âI wouldnât,â Jungkook reached into the pocket of his oversized black hoodie and slid his face mask off, taking a cigarette and lighting it once they were outside the airport, âItâs been too long without seeing your beautiful face.â
âYeah, donât tell Yeonwoo, but Iâd marry you if you werenât such a man,â Namjoon joked, playfully flirting which Jungkook just laughed off.
âToo bad youâre not my type,â Jungkook patted his shoulder apologetically, âBesides, where is the bride?â
âGetting her hair done for tonight,â Namjoon said as they got into a Bentley Mulssane, âAlso, please drive, Iâm scared.â
âHyung,â Jungkook scoffed, taking the keys anyway, âIf you hate driving so much why buy an expensive car?â
âYeonwoo liked the color,â Namjoon said as he got in the passengerâs seat of his own car, âAre you staying with your parents? I could still find you an apartment.â
âFor a week? Donât bother, Iâm staying at a hotel,â Jungkook said, turning the engine on and driving out.
Namjoon sighed, âSo you really are leaving again?â
âWas there ever a doubt I was?â Jungkook asked in surprise.
âDuh, kid. We miss you, you rarely call, you never visit, you barely respond and we know nothing that goes on with you,â Namjoon said, âI thought once you got your fill of life experiences, youâd come back.â
Jungkook didnât say anything at that, sniffling uncomfortably as he tried switching the subject, âSo, whoâs my partner?â
This time Namjoon was the one to freeze up, staring out the window with sunglasses on and his jaw locked. With a shy smile, he asked, âAre you gonna bring a date?â
His brows furrowed as he looked at his friend, âWhoâs the Maid of Honor?â
Namjoon released a nervous laugh, âY/n L/n.â
The silence in the car was loud and from the way Jungkookâs jaw tensed and his eyes narrowed, it was easy to see he wasnât happy about that. You? You were the Maid of Honor and his partner down the aisle?
âYou know, her and Yeonwoo are close and Yeonwooâs always thinking about who looks the best next to her on camera and obviously sheâs gonna choose the runway model but listen,â Namjoon could barely catch a breath, âY/nâs matured more now and sheâs going to be there tonight so please be on your best behavior.â
âTonight? Whatâs tonight?â Jungkookâs tone was sharper now and Namjoon huffed in annoyance.
âThe rehearsal dinner on the pier, it was all in the catalog I sent you,â Namjoon said, âItâs for press. Our parents want to get it on Forbes and Vogue, they want to make it the Wedding of the Year.â
They both laughed at that and Jungkook sighed, âSo thereâs gonna be cameras?â
âYeah but donât worry they wonât focus on you,â Namjoon said with a smirk, âThe attentionâs going on me.â
When Jungkook pulled up to the hotel he would be staying at for the week, Namjoon left him to settle in with a promise that he would make it tonight so he had no choice not to. A letter from a close friend was sitting on the coffee table and he set his things down to get it.
It was a big envelope with a card and a few things rattling inside that made him curious. Jungkook turned the envelope down so the contents would fall onto his palm and a roll of condoms slipped out.
âWelcome home buddy, enjoy the penthouse and may all your frustrations come undone â Jung Hoseok.â
The note itself made him scoff in disbelief. His womanizing friend making jokes before theyâve actually reunited. He left the things on the table and left to shower, doing what he could to make himself look presentable for tonight.
Tonight was the beginning of a soon-to-be hectic week of photoshoots, brunches, parties and finally the wedding. You were one of the ones front and center, never taking the limelight from the bride but carrying your own sense of grace that had people turning heads when you walked into a roomâor in this case riverwalk.
You vowed to appear your best tonight and opted for a silk, powder blue Prada dress paired with Swarovski crystals on your neck. You did your part as Maid of Honor, directing all attention to your friend, polite smile and gentle assurance when needed in front of a crowd. Yeonwoo found it comical how well you fit into character when you need to.
âThe perfect friend,â Yeonwoo joked as you dabbed smeared lip gloss from her lips, âWhat would I do without you?â
âOh, I hope you never have to find out,â You said in a gentle voice that feigned innocence and longing. Yeonwoo laughed as she was called toward other people and you let her go as you found the nearest server holding a glass of champagne. You took a glass, turning toward the railing overlooking the shore, tipping your glass back and chugging as much of the drink as possible.
âSo this is where the Maid of Honor will be spending her night?â A familiar deep voice spoke up from behind you and a mischievous smile grew on your face. You set the glass down, straightened your posture and turned to him with a soft gaze.
âNow you know thatâs not fair, Joon, Iâve been with Yeonwoo most of the night,â you told him, already motioning for another server to give you a glass, completely ignoring the man standing beside him.
âI believe you, darling, now why donât you come say hi to the Best Man,â Namjoon pushed Jungkook forward who just glared at him in response, âYou remember Jeon Jungkook, right?â
âItâs been two years, not ten,â You said, finally looking at Jungkook with a glimmer of annoyance in your eyes, matched by his stare of unamusement.
âAlright well why donât you two get reacquainted while I search for the gorgeous love of my life,â Namjoon said, making his escape as quick as possible.
âYou counted?â Jungkook asked, taking just one step toward you, trying to stop his eyes from trailing down your figure.
âOf course,â You said sarcastically, âIâve just missed you so.â
He couldnât stop the roll of his eyes as he turned to the water, âYou knew we were partners?â
âObviously, I know everything,â you said with a scoff that had his tongue pressing against his cheek, clearly annoyed, âLike how youâre staying at one of the Jungâs hotels instead of home. How you plan on leaving still, where you landed, how long youâve been herââ
âSo youâre stalking me?â Jungkook asked, only half joking.
âDonât you wish,â you laughed, âYouâre all over the news.â
His smile dropped. When he had nothing to say, you grew bored and left him behind, making sure to lightly graze your fingers against his arm as you said, âAnd just remember, youâre the one who despises me, not the other way around.â
With that, you left without looking back and he was left watching the sway of your hips when you walked away.
Money rules the world, even when people want to say it doesnât. The people who have it are living the dream and the ones who donât, want the dream. It doesnât even have to be the luxurious wonders of the world, it could be as little as financial stability or surviving. At the end of the day, it was a Rich Manâs world and this group of individuals were born lucky.
First, the groom: Kim Namjoon. The man with it all, the money, the family, the education, son of millionaires with three hospitals in their name and a line of pharmacies all across the globe.
The bride: soon-to-be, Kim Yeonwoo. The heiress to half a dozen airlines, an airport funded by her family for decades and a beautiful island in her name off the coast.
Kim Seokjin, practically a prince, generations worth of politicians, the highest education and a trust fund worth millions. He was the one youâll see with the president or in Australia, golfing with men in charge.
Jung Hoseok, the hotel heir to a chain of ten thousand hotels across the globe. He was the one youâll most likely catch partying in Venice with a princess whose name he couldnât actually rememberâor maybe giving a waitress the night of her life.
Min Yoongi, eldest son of an elite banking firm formed a hundred years ago. He was private about his life, similar to Jungkook, he only came out when he was summoned by one of the others.
Kim Taehyung was wild as Hoseok but more quiet about it. Heâll soon be heir of the billion dollar empire his family built in the Art world of museums and curations and performing arts.
Now, Jungkookâs story was a bit different from the others. His family worked in land development, most of the country being built on the backs of the Jeonâs who brought cities to rural areas and avoided the publicâs eye.
They had the kind of old money that everyone knew, even when they tried to stay out of the news.
It was the kind of old money, people could never stop talking about and you understood what that meant most.
There was a mystery to the fortune of your family, it was old money, so old nobody knew where it came from. Some say oil, some claim aristocrats but it was too far back, and too private for any to know. All the public knew were the generous and loving philanthropists and their perfect daughter, the Nationâs Sweetheart, you.
You really were loved by all, the camera, the press, everyone. They all saw the kind, innocent girl in the publicâs eye but only a few saw the snotty, spoiled and downright disrespectful side of you that was real.
Where Jungkook craved independence and isolation from his family name, you soaked in it. The attention. The money. The dependence, you were the complete opposite of him and it drew him insane.
One might ask why he was around you if he really did despise you, but for a long time it wasnât up to him. The group didnât all become friends one magical night when you compared your familyâs net worth.
No, this bond had grown between galas, private academies, horse riding lessons at the country club and family businesses. It was a very elite, classist society where only the ultra rich could really only trust in each other and keep a country afloat off of it.
Do you think Namjoon would have been allowed to marry Yeonwoo if her parents werenât as rich as they were?
Do you think Seokjin would have married his wife that he met at Oxford if her family hadnât been international shipping magnates?
It was like a spider web, they were all connected in some way, all controlled and thatâs what Jungkook hated.
He loved his friends, truly, but he hated the control. Not a single one of them had real freedom and every little thing they did came with a price and he couldnât live that way anymore. He understood his own privilege and how lucky he was to grow up in such a way but he knew there was more to life than just that. When he left home for the first time, he didnât expect to feel so free. It was like a sense of independence heâs not sure any of his friends have felt and now that heâs back heâs reminded once again of how suffocating it all is.
There had to be at least a hundred guests in attendance tonight and he couldnât find a moment of silence. The suit he wore felt uncomfortable and he hated the way it seemed to confine him, make him more rigid and stiff.
âPlease Jungkook, I was only being funny. Did it bother you that much?â Hoseok asked with a tinge of mischief in his voice.
âNo,â Jungkook shrugged as he looked around the banquet hall, âI just found it unnecessary.â
âReally? I wouldâve assumed the opposite considering youâll be spending a lot of time with Y/n this week,â Taehyung said with a shrug as the three of them stood off to the side, talking amongst themselves as the guests of the charity banquet focused on your parents who stood on stage making some speech about the importance of giving.
As if on cue, the spotlight turned toward you where you smiled politely and acted shyly for the cameras.
A scoff left his lips as he pulled his gaze away from you, âWhatâs that supposed to mean?â
Hoseok chuckled, âOh come on man, everyone knows you have a thing for herâyouâre really bad at hiding it.â
With a roll of his eyes, Jungkook stepped away from his friends, âYou guys donât know anything.â
He didnât have a thing for you.
Sure, youâve known each other for a long time but that means nothing. Heâs known them all for a long time and if anything he's made his distaste toward you pretty evident. When you were younger it was only because you were so spoiled and the attention had to always be on you. He hated watching everyone fall for your sweetness and do whatever you asked of them. He almost fell for it himself a couple times but then he would see the way you judged or looked down on people and he just despised you more.
Thereâs nothing about you that attracts him aside from your looksâŚ
Tonight you were dressed more modestly in a Chanel sweater and skirt set that looked like you would soon be relaxing at the country club. You wore a black headband with a bow on it and satin gloves, looking as polite as ever while you talked to anyone who approached you.
You were the perfect, doting daughter and anyone with eyes could see that.
âSo how mad are you?â Yeonwoo asked once you had settled back in your chair next to her and Namjoon. Even Namjoon seemed to listen in on the question, waiting to hear what you would say.
âWhat do I have to be mad at?â You asked with a tight smile as you reached toward her to fix a slight smudge on her cheek, â Jungkook?â
âWell, we know you have some sort of disliking toward each other butâŚâ Yeonwoo bit her lip nervously, âJoonie and Jungkook are really close.â
âWe know you two donât like each other but you should have expected this, right?â Namjoon chuckled nervously, âYouâre both our best friends andâŚâ
âAm I saying anything?â You asked.
They shared a look with each other, âI guess not.â
You smiled, âOkay, then letâs just make sure everything runs smoothly this week.â
You did in fact feel a type of way about Jeon Jungkook but you werenât going to admit that right now surrounded by so many people always lingering around trying to listen. Youâve learned to be very careful about how you act in public and thereâs no way your friends will get you to act out by asking about him.
Jungkook was not someone you wished to exhort so much energy on. He wasnât worth anything to you and despite how many years youâve known him, youâve never wished to get to know him. You donât care where he goes when heâs not home or who he talks to, nor what he does. He doesnât cross your mind at all through your normal day to day and you surely werenât going to let him in this week. All he has going for him is his money and his looks.
Ever since you learned he would be the Best Man you thought about what that would mean and accepted that he would be the one to walk with you down the aisle. Despite not being happy about it, you managed to hide your resentment quite well.
You know how he feels about you and over time thatâs made you develop a disliking toward him which you find only fair. He might dislike you for being spoiled but you dislike him for being so entitled.
For some reason, he thinks distancing himself from this life means heâs better than everyone else and you hate that. He thinks that by moving away and making his own money suddenly makes him different than the rest of you but thatâs not true. He just wants to act like heâs self made so he can feel superior to all of you trust fund babies and that is what annoyed you.
After some time third wheeling, you were getting tired and slightly annoyed watching the couple act lovey dovey. You hated couples, they grossed you out even if they were your best friends.
âMind if I keep you company? You look like you need it.â
With a furrow in your brows, you turned to face the person who felt the need to whisper in your ear and get close to you without permission. A smile spread across your lips at the man standing directly behind you, his arm draping over your front and hugging you.
âHello, darling, Iâve missed you,â Jiminâs voice was soft yet sultry and you gave each other kisses on the cheek in greeting as he moved to the empty seat beside you.
âI didnât realize you were back,â You said to him, âHow was Paris?â
He released a sigh, âOh the usual, shopping⌠a few events here and there.â
âMhm, and whenâd you get back?â You asked, now intrigued by his presence.
âJust last night. I was planning on visiting you earlier but things came up,â Jimin said, adjusting the Swiss watch on his wrist, admiring the shine, âWhat has happened since I was gone?â
âOh God, heâs back,â Hoseok rolled his eyes from across the room, âI ran into him in Marseille the other day and the guy wanted to act like he didnât know me.â
âHeâs been insufferable since Uni,â Taehyung muttered under his breath, âI donât understand why Y/n puts up with him.â
âWho?â Jungkook asked, only half curious. He hadnât been paying attention until he heard your name and his reason for hearing it was purely coincidental.
âPark Jimin,â Hoseok clarified, making Jungkook look closer at the man who sat very close to you, making you smile and touch his arms when you spoke.
âAm I supposed to know who that is?â Jungkook seemed indifferent as he looked down at his glass of champagne, trying to resist the urge to look back at you.
âNot at all,â Taehyung said, âHeâs just some guy we went to Uni with here. I donât know how he met Y/n though, probably at some shitty party but heâs nobody that matters.â
Well⌠Park Jimin was the son of starlets. His great grandmother, his grandmother was an actress, his mother was an actress and heâs been in a few independent films here and there. He spends most of his time sailing on yachts or speaking of the Cannes Film Festival. Heâs insanely rich, but heâs still not rich enough despite his accumulated generational wealth.
Unlike Jungkookâs wealth which held actual value especially in real estate, Jiminâs just didnât compare to his or any of his friends for that matter. So why did you seem captivated by him?
He is aware he shouldnât think this way, itâs only him reverting back to his old self which was all arrogance and entitlement. He shouldnât think about how much wealthier he was compared to Jimin.
Unfortunately, Jungkook couldnât seem to drag his gaze away from the pair as he tipped his champagne glass back, liquid pouring down his throat.
âDo you think sheâll take him to the wedding? I doubt Namjoon or Yeonwoo would ever invite him themselves,â Hoseok said and the three seemed like a group of gossips, the way they huddled around each other.
In Jungkookâs defense, he was barely listening to his friends. He was too busy watching the interaction happening not far from where he stood, eyes narrowed trying to understand what was happening.
First, he didnât like you. He found you unbearable and you were the epitome of everything he hated about the High Society he had been raised in.
Second, he was only looking because you were next to his best friends. Maybe he wanted to see how in love Namjoon and Yeonwoo were but he couldnât see because of you and your⌠friend.
Third, he wanted to know how you managed to stand out in your outfit despite the room being filled with people in extravagant clothes.
âIâm not sure, actually, rumors say she might,â Taehyung said and Jungkook couldnât help but look over.
âWhat?â
âWeâre just wondering if the Maid of Honor would bring her little boy toy to the wedding,â Hoseok said, looking at Jungkook as his jaw tensed, âWhat do you think?â
âI donât care if Y/n brings anyone, weâre just dates for the pictures and ceremony,â Jungkook said with a hint of annoyance in his voice.
âSo are you going to take a date too then?â Taehyung asked.
âMaybe,â Jungkook said as a server came around holding a tray of champagne glasses and he switched his empty one out for a full one. He didnât bother to look back at his friends as he began walking away, âIâll be back.â
âItâs so hard for him to act like he doesnât care.â
âKook! Come here, man,â Namjoon said with a wide grin as he saw his best friend walking by them. Jungkook didnât bother glancing down at you as he greeted his friend.
âKooky, I havenât seen you all night,â Yeonwoo stood up to hug him, âPlease donât seduce my future husband, everyone has already RSVPâd.â
âOh Yeonie,â Jungkook softly caressed her cheek, tipping her chin up to look at him, âIf I wanted him, I would have had him by now.â
âJoon!â Yeonwoo whined clinging to Namjoon who just winked at Jungkook, further amplifying his fiancĂŠâs feigned sobs. Jungkook smiled watching her squirm and without him meaning to, he let his gaze fall toward you.
âY/n.â
You met his intense stare with your own and you could hear Jimin say he was going to get a drink but you didnât look at him. You looked down at what Jungkook was wearingâa plain black Prada suit, how boring. âJungkook.â
âIs that who youâre bringing to the wedding?â Jungkook asked, looking back at the infamous Park Jimin who stood with Taehyung and Hoseok, all three of them pretending to enjoy each otherâs company.
âMaybe, we do get along very well,â you said with a sly smile as you stood up, not yet reaching Jungkookâs height but he didnât intimidate you, âIs that a problem?
âNo,â Jungkook said, voice low and deep, âI was just curious.â
âAnd why were you curious?â You asked, a mocking tone in your voice that he didnât like, âDo tell me, how often are you curious about what I do?â
A scoff left his lips as he looked away from you first, âIt was just a question, donât get ahead of yourself and think you matter to me more than you do.â
An evident pout appeared on your lips and for a second his expression changed with worry but the moment was fleeting. You just laughed [giggled, actually] and with a gentle touch to his arm, said, âNo need to lie to yourself.â
His eyes narrowed, anger bubbling up inside him when he heard a shutter of cameras going off, flash in his face and without thinking, he took your hand in his and left.
âIf you plan on kidnapping me, it wonât work,â You said teasingly as you left to some dark corner behind large pillars.
âIâm not going to put up with a week of your games,â Jungkook said as he let go of your hand, missing the way your eyes fell to the black ink on his knucklesâsomething you had never noticed before, not even on the yacht when it was dark out.
âThen stop playing into them,â you said with a laugh, âIf I drive you crazy, why bother talking to me at all? I think weâre both very capable of ignoring each other enough to not have to say a single word.â
âWhat I mean is, you can put on this act of yours for the cameras but donât drag me into it,â Jungkook told you, ignoring the idea you had thrown out there. He was referring to your strange smiles and touches you give him when in the public.
âIâm not dragging you into anything,â You rolled your eyes, âAnd you seem to forget all eyes have been on you since you got backâheir to the Jeon Corporation. What do you think people will say when they find out you dragged me out here all alone? The Big, Bad & Rebellious Jeon Jungkook and The Nationâs Sweetheart, me.â
His eyes shut with a hint of anger that he tried to subdue, âSweetheart?â
âThatâs what I said,â you smiled sweetly to prove your point making him scoff.
âYouâre not a sweetheart, youâre a spoiled brat,â Jungkook said, looking down at you in your pretty clothes with your pretty jewelry and your pretty face.
âNice of you to finally notice,â you said bitterly and with a roll of your eyes, you pushed into his shoulder on purpose as you walked past him, âBut weâre all the same, arenât we? Just some of us like to act all high and mighty because you leave home craving independence, ignoring your privilege to seem like better people.â
Jungkook felt the jab of your words but he let you walk past him without a rebuttal.
With a sense of frustration, he ran his fingers through his hair, trying to collect himself to rejoin High Society and finish the night with his head held high.
When Jungkook left his hotel the day of the Bachelor Party, he hadnât been sure what to expect. Hoseok had done most of the planning for it since he had been abroad and when it comes to Hobi, you never know what to expect. It was almost two days of festivities and it was only toward the end that everyone would separate into their respective groups. That meant that once again he was forced into the same place as you.
The yacht sailed toward the private island the events would be at and as big as it was, he couldnât escape you. There were the main group of friends that were always together and a few added guests, mostly Yeonwooâs friends. Hoseok had already been hyping up the party tonight more than anything and everytime Namjoon would grow more worried. He didnât need a big party thrown by his notorious womanizing friend.
âSo what do the girls have planned?â Jungkook asked Namjoon as they sat at a table, looking at everyone aboard. Some people wore little clothing, others casual clothes, you wore something in between. It was casual yet attractive.
â I donât know, something probably calmer than what Hobiâs got for us,â Namjoon said but his friend had tuned him out after the first part, âY/n planned it all and leant us the Yacht for the guests.â
âThe yacht?â Jungkook asked, looking around at the luxury super yacht.
â14.7 million dollar yacht for Y/nâs birthday last year,â Namjoon explained to Jungkook, âShe wanted a Booze Cruise.â
Jungkook couldnât help but scoff, âSo Y/n got a yacht?â
âIt comes in handy, doesnât it?â A soft voice spoke from behind him and his breath hitched. You looked over to Namjoon, âYeonie is looking for you.â
âThe wife calls,â Namjoon said with a cheesy smile as he left you two behind.
âSo, are you ready to go party with Hobi tonight?â You asked with a laugh, âI heard heâs got some former Miss Universe models coming in.â
âOh, fun,â Jungkook said, slightly sarcastic.
âKook, youâre not old enough to not like partying with models,â You teased making him look over at you. For a moment he wondered if what you said had a double meaning considering you were a model but he didnât want to speak up about it.
âIâm sorry, Iâm not a party animal,â Jungkook said truthfully, only a hint of joking as he looked around at the packed floor, âI think even this is too much.â
âWow, how could you be a former Socialite if you donât like partying?â You asked, âIs it all that time in the jungle or desert you spent alone that changed you?â
Jungkook could hear the sarcasm in your tone but he knew it wasnât in an offensive way. He had backpacked to a small village in Indonesia for a few weeks before leaving to Nevada or Dubaiâand he hated that you knew it all. He enjoyed traveling alone and experiencing things alone; he doesnât need parties with too loud of music or too many drunks. Heâs like Namjoon, they want to celebrate with their small group of friends rather than a party full of strangers who donât even know what the occasion is.
âIt mightâve,â Jungkook said, clearing his throat and checked the time.
You didnât say much else after that and he got the impression that you grew bored talking to him. He looked at you still waiting to see if you would say something else but instead, you just looked off into the distance, not bothering to hide the sudden boredom you must have felt.
Heâs sure he could have found something else to say to you but it was no use when he could see you beginning to slip away when you looked down at your cellphone with a bright smile. You didnât utter out a goodbye as you left him behind to answer your phone, âChimmy, Iâve missed you. Howâs Morocco?â
âWarm,â Jimin said, âIâve just finished a shoot and I believe Iâll be back tomorrow.â
âOh I wonât be home, remember?â You said as the final thing Jungkook was able to hear from you before you walked away.
Jungkook couldnât help but look after you, thinking about who mightâve called you and how things were handled and he had to be honest, he was curious. He wasnât attracted to you but he found you attractive⌠He thought you were charming and charismatic but not enough for him to want you, maybeâŚ
The two of you just seem so different. Heâs seen as the Black Sheep of the group, not because heâs not wealthy or attractive but because his past decisions have apparently been awful ones.
He was never one for parties so he wasnât wild and defiant. He did make a declaration to leave all the money behind and pursue his dreamsâsomething rich people were not allowed to do. Especially not if you were next in line to inherit it all like Jungkook was.
You are more free than he is and yet you like being in your bubble. You like the glamor and the responsibilities because unlike him, you know how to play both sides. Do your parents care that youâre out wasted at European raves or sailing on your yacht with a foreign prince? No, why? Because you know how to act like the innocent, perfect princess youâre supposed to be.
Jungkook canât pretend that well. He canât hide his tattoos or piercings or signs of nonconformity.
So, yes, he finds you attractive but he canât let himself fall for you when he thinks youâre too different from each other. It just doesnât stop his brain from thinking about you though.
âHave you seen Y/n?â Jungkook asked Taehyung who had been sandwiched between two women he couldnât name.
Taehyung, evidently drunk, shook his head no, âAre you ready to confess your undying love for her?â
Jungkook rolled his eyes, scoffing as he said, âFuck off.â
All Taehyung did was laugh, making the girls he had his arms around laugh too and Jungkook left feeling annoyed. He was just curious to know where you were, thatâs all. Namjoon and Yeonwoo are busy making their rounds, greeting and thanking everyone on the boat and his other friends were off doing their own things. Heâs already spent too much time sulking by the railing, staring down at the dark blue water that he canât take it anymore. He doesnât want to drink to the point that heâs drunk so really, his last hope is you.
âHave you seen Y/n?â Jungkook asked as he went to the rooftop where Hoseok was sitting in a hot tub full of strangers. Hoseok looked like such an asshole [something Jungkook had permission to say] with his designer sunglasses and Vacheron Constantin watch, just barely above the water surface.
Hoseok barely glanced his way as he said, âI donât know, check downstairs.â
That was all Jungkook needed to know before he was heading down to find you. It took a while of asking any person he passed by, where you might be and through all this, he couldnât remember why he was looking for you in the first place.
He had no idea where he was going, he just found himself walking down what felt like endless corridors of rooms, following the directions of whatever housekeeper he could find. The boat really was big, and he couldnât wrap his mind around the fact that this was a simple birthday present.
âNow, who do we have here?â You looked down the empty hallway toward the man in front of you. It pained you to see just how attractive Jeon Jungkook really was.
You have to admit, he really knows how to dress for occasions. The rare times heâs photographed in some news article, heâs dressed casually, clearly trying to hide from the public eye but now that heâs back it seems his fashion has picked up. He wore a striped black flannel Dolce & Gabbana shirt tucked into cream colored slacks, and matching velvet black slippers from their newest collection.
âIâm just⌠wandering,â Jungkook cleared his throat, whatever excuse he had made up earlier, completely out of mind, âWhat happened to your dress?â
A large red stain adorned the front of your pink dress from the chest down your torso. You looked down at the stain with a roll of your eyes, âSome stupid bitch worker. Sheâs off the boat tomorrow.â
Jungkook widened his eyes, feeling you brush past him and down the hall, âSo youâre firing someone for spilling a drink?â
âUm, this is Valento? Do you know how hard it is to get rid of a stain like this?â You asked with a slight scoff as you went to the door straight at the end, pushing your key card in to open it, âIt took the dry cleaners ages last time.â
âI didnât take you as an Outfit Repeater to be worrying about things like that,â he stopped at the door, already looking around at what was evidently the master cabin. The water out the windows was a dark, midnight blue and it reflected into the room of silver and gray. It had a walk-in closet, and king sized bed with a view of the open water and a private deck. He didnât dare go in and put himself in personal quarters with you.
You gasped, stopping your movements of rummaging through your closet to say, âI am an environmentalist.â
He couldnât tell if you were being serious or not and he had to fight back a grin at how un-woke you sounded considering you were ruining the planet with a private yacht of this size.
You pulled out an off-white dress, a Jaquemus piece, âLa Robe Artichautâ, âUgh, after this week, I am firing a lot of people.â
âWhat happened this time?â Jungkook asked, leaning against the doorframe watching you, waiting for you to kick him out but you just went toward the windows overlooking the dark blue ocean. As much as you claimed to not get along, you talked like old friends.
You reached your hands toward your back, attempting to undo the back of your dress on your own, âI told my assistant not to pack anything close to white and she packs this dress? I swear people canât do anything right.â
âIf people ask just say youâre supposed to match me,â Jungkook said referring to his slacks, âYeonie wonât be mad her Maid of Honor is wearing off-white.â
âI guess,â you sighed, letting go of your dress and not bothering to look back at him as you said, âUndo the back.â
Jungkook stood silently at the door, staring at you with dark eyes. The fabric of your dress was thin and soft to the touchâhe could just tell with the way your figure had so effortlessly shaped the dress. It is a real pity you had to change out of it, heâll admit that, but now heâs been askedâno, demandedâto help you to take it off.
He has no idea why you think you could just boss him around but this seems to have always been the case. The two of you were never close in the past but the very few times you would run into each other⌠as much as he hated it, there was always some sort of tension there.
With your back to him, you hadnât seen the way he silently made his way across the room, shutting the door behind him as he went right to you. You could sense his presence behind you, see his reflection in the dark window and feel his rough fingers brush against your back.
âI meant to tell you, I like your shoes,â You said casually, his fingers beginning to work the knot that tied the ribbon of your dress, âMy friend wore them in Paris just a week ago.â
âFriend?â Jungkook raised a brow curiously, his eyes trained slowly on the ribbon he was ever so slowly pulling loose. His gaze shifted to your reflection in the window as he pulled a little rougher than earlier, âIs this the one youâre always running off on the phone with?â
âYou mean Park Jimin?â You asked, not bothering to react at all to his roughness or his speed, âYes, him.â
You could feel Jungkookâs deep exhale as he pulled it as loose as he could while still being appropriate, âAre you seeing him?â
A mischievous smile couldnât help but make its way to your face as you turned to face him, holding your arms around yourself modestly, âIs that what you wanted to talk about all along? You could have asked me earlier instead of spending who knows how long looking for me.â
He had to bite the inside of his cheek to stop himself agreeing with you, and with a tense jaw he asked again, âWell, are you?â
âIâm going to get changed,â you motioned toward the door, telling him to leave, âUnless you want to help me with that too.â
A scoff left his lips as he took a step back, annoyed that you wouldnât just answer his question and annoyed he even cared enough to ask. What did it matter to Jungkook if you took a date? He wasnât in a relationship with you and he barely considered you a friend.
When he wasnât here and he was traveling, he was perfectly fine not knowing a thing about you aside from whatever article or magazine you appeared in. Why now that he returns and he sees how⌠glamorously beautiful you are, is he curious about you?
âAnd just so weâre clear, no, Iâm not seeing Jimin,â You told him as he walked toward the door, stopping midway to listen to you, âBecause I know it would make you jealous.â
To be honest, you didnât think he would actually be jealous, itâs just a joke. Something about you just gets under Jungkookâs skin and it wants you to push his buttons that much more. As obvious as it was that he wasnât at all amused by your sweetness, it was your arrogant charm that seemed to get him every time.
You knew you were beautiful, you knew you had every right to be arrogant and as much as Jungkook could deny heâs attracted to you at all, itâs very noticeable. Youâve never been told no a day in your life. Youâve never been rejected either and you know Jungkook wouldnât dare reject you if you actually went for it.
Despite how vocal he is about his distaste toward you, you canât help but still get giddy in his presence. You just want to rile him up and know that heâs attainable to you. Youâve always had a thing for him, he was an absolute gorgeous man and he was wealthy, extremely wealthy. He was educated and had class but at the same time he was rugged and intimidating. Youâve seen the small glimpses of ink on his knuckles and you just know that under all his long sleeves, he had more to show.
Whether you felt seriously for him or if you just figured itâs a spur of the moment situation, you want him.
âJealous?â Jungkook attempted to scoff but the word caught in his throat with some truth to it, âWhy would I be jealous?â
âI donât know,â You shrugged, sliding the strap of your down your shoulder, âBecause then you would have to share my attention with someone else.â
Jungkook knows he should leave. You had asked him to leave yet you kept going back and forth, and it was stopping him from doing so.
He should go.
He needs to go before he does or say something heâll regret.
If he caves in to your taunts then heâll be disappointed in himself, like part of him was allowing his return to his old lifestyle of luxury and privilege.
âY/n, you always say things you donât know,â Jungkook asked you with a deep voice that had you smiling, practically feeling him give in. His gaze was dark and there was no hiding the growing tension, âAnd you must think youâre real cute trying to act out now that weâre alone.â
âNo, I know I am,â you said, not backing away from the eye contact. âAnd you know it too.â
âI donât,â Jungkook loomed over you, eyes tracing down the curve of your nose and to the slight part in your lips, âI think⌠I think youâreâŚâ
You blinked up at him, âWell say it, or are you too busy thinking about kissing me?â
An annoyed huff left his lips as one of his hands pulled you toward him at your waist and the other tilted your chin up until his lips were grazing over yours. You reached toward him, making the first real press of your mouths together and there was no use in acting like he hadnât been in fact thinking about kissing you.
Jungkook let his eyes fall shut as yours did and he pulled you closer into his chest with the hand on your jaw sliding down toward the curve of your neck, making sure you didnât pull away just yet. You kept up with the pace he had set of slow yet hungry kisses, pulling on your lips or letting his tongue slide against yours tenderly.
âWell?â You gasped feeling his soft lips kiss along your jaw, his soft black hair brushing against your face, a light scent of his shampoo or cologne that left you feeling intoxicated. The hand he had on your waist tightened at your words, pulling away with a quiet grunt, he looked you in the eye.
âDonât ask me any more questions,â Jungkook groaned, the taste of your lips still on his tongue and there was a light sheen of gloss coating his lips from yours.
Itâs shameful for him to admit how easy it was for you to break him down into every other man who seems to fall at your feet when given the chance. This is exactly what he didnât want and now heâs pulling the godforsaken stained dress he undid and watching it slip down your body, revealing your naked form to his hungry eyes.
Above your bedroom was a deck filled with people celebrating the soon-to-be newlyweds while the Best Man and Maid of Honor are in the master cabin, half undressed, and stumbling onto the bed.
Jungkook was gentle but firm, he wasted no time popping the buttons of his shirt open, exposing the toned muscles of his body and the ink covering most of his arm. Your eyes scanned the markings, surprise and wonder evident on your face with how well he managed to hide how much heâs gotten done since he left.
âSurprised?â Jungkook asked, eyes low when your hands ran over his slacks, pulling at his belt and nails lightly scratching at his abdomen. His voice dripped with arousal when you sat up from beneath him, pressing light butterfly kisses to his abs and tattoos.
âYou always surprise me,â You admitted, not as teasing as before but with a hint of playfulness still there. You looked up from his chest, the height of your sitting form and his standing one looked endless as he towered over you. âFor instance, I didnât think it would be this easy to get you in my bed.â
You kissed along his neck now, sitting on your knees to reach him better and nipping at his sensitive spots. His hand tightened around the neck of your head, not pulling your hair but definitely getting your eyes on his, âWhy do your words sound so dirty when you say them so⌠â
Jungkook couldnât even finish his sentence before succumbing to you once more and kissing your lips. With little force applied, he was laying you back down on the bed with his tattooed and muscular body just melting into yours effortlessly. With one hand on your neck and the other sliding down to the curve of your thigh, it felt like he was all over you.
âLetâs take this off you,â Jungkook murmured between kisses down your neck as he began to finally take off the ruined dress that had been in his way since you got him to undo it in the first place, âYouâve been teasing me with this since earlier.â
âMaybe because I wanted to see you get worked up,â you sighed as you made yourself comfortable on the king side bed, your body slowly unveiled to his hungry eyes. Once he had pulled the dress off you completely and threw it to the side, sitting up between your spread legs and staring.
Jungkook didnât bother with discreteness as he eyed down your naked body still in shock that he was seeing it before him. Your breasts were on full display and the only piece of fabric hiding you was a thin lace underwear that felt so nimble and soft under his fingertips, so easy for him to just tear off of you. You looked gorgeous laying so pliantly underneath him and he couldnât help but let his hands slide down from your bent knees to your inner thighs.
âDid it work?â You asked just above a whisper as he hovered over you, leaving needy kisses between your breasts while he tugged at the hem of your panties until he was sliding them down your legs.
âIt really fucking worked,â Jungkook groaned as he cupped your boobs in his hands, letting his tongue lick at your pert nipples and feeling the way they stiffened underneath him. Your hands went to his hair, legs nearly wrapping around his torso when you felt his teeth lightly press into your nipple, sucking and tugging when needed.
His kisses began to run down toward your navel with his hands replacing his lips and kneading your breasts in the palm of them while he moved down to lay between your legs, âI want a taste, pretty girl.â
âThen get one,â you said in a whiny tone that had his big rounded eyes turning to look at you with surprise. A knowing smirk falling on his lips as he lifted your knees and pulled your thighs apart as far as they could go until he was eye level with your pretty cunt. Jungkook was never one to stop and tease when he needed sex, he had a tendency to get a little rough and take what he wants but itâs so hard to move it along when heâs met with the sight of you laying so pretty for him. He could tell your patience was running thin with how long he was taking to do anything and just before he felt you close to snapping at him, he leaned into you.
âOh fuck,â you gasped in surprise with the sudden swipe at your clit by Jungkookâa flattened, long tongue and youâll admit it caused goosebumps to form on your skin. You couldnât see the way he smiled as his hands circled around your thighs, repeating his teasing flick of his tongue, feeling the way your folds began to react to him.
He felt your fingers run through his soft hair for anchor and for some reason that slight grip you had on him had his eyes rolling to the back of his head as he let himself get lost in the taste of your pussy. No longer up for any sense of teasing, Jungkook lets his mouth fall open, kissing your wet heat with his tongue pressing between your folds and finding your clit. Your hips were slowly bucking into his face, showing him just how much you liked his tongue and he knew just what to do to have you coming undone underneath him.
He sucked your clit into his mouth, his lips wrapped around the hard bud while his tongue swiped against the tip of it. He began a repetition of that and grazing his teeth ever so softly against your sensitive folds knowing he found your weak spot when he sucked your labia into his mouth and had your soft moans filling the cabin.
âJungkook,â you moaned softly, fingers tugging at his hair roughly, âOh god.â
He didnât dare pull his mouth off you to give you a response and instead let his actions grow rougher. He unwrapped a hand from around your thigh and slipped it down to your pussy where he let his finger begin to draw patterns into your labia, so close to your entrance that he could feel your arousal quite literally leak out of you.
Your body was filled by pleasure that Jungkook was bringing you and you couldnât help but bring your free hand to your neglected chest, trying to fill the void that Jungkookâs hand had left as you groped your breasts. Jungkook looked up completely enamored with the way you played with yourself while he ate you out and without any second thoughts, he pressed his long middle finger into your waiting cunt.
âThatâs it,â he whispered, pressing a light kiss along your pelvis, âCum for me, darling.â
âJungkook,â you whined as he pushed a second finger in, hooking them upwardward just past your pubic bone and finding that soft, spongy spot with ease. With the way your walls fluttered around his fingers, he knew you were close and all it took was his lips around your clit while thrusting into that pleasure spot of yours, for you to wrap your legs around his shoulders and shake with release, âOh my god.â
âMm,â Jungkook groaned with pleasure, feeling your arousal flood his fingers in your release. He looked down at his wet hand, bringing it to his lips where he licked off the release that threatened to drip down his forearm, âSweet.â
You looked like a mess trying to catch your breath and come to understand what had just happened between you to think too long about the fact that he was pressing his fingers into your waiting mouth till you licked your own release off him. He lifted a brow as your tongue circled around his fingers while sucking on them with your cheeks hollowed in. It had his breath hitching, trying to pull his fingers back out before he came just from that and began to pull at his own pants.
âCondom?â He asked in an unusually low and raspy tone. You blinked, âItâs fine, Iâm on the pill.â
He didnât press for more as he kicked his slacks and briefs off, hard cock pointed up stiffly. You couldnât tear your eyes away from it. You wanted to wrap your lips around him and take him deep in your mouth because his dick was surprisingly so fucking pretty you just needed it desperately.
With your mind decided, you attempted to sit up when he pushed you back down, cock in his hand as he gave himself a couple strokes to relieve some tension and pulled your legs apart, âI need you now.â
âImpatient, are we?â You asked with a laugh, making yourself relax when you felt his cock head brush against your exposed clit. Jungkook wasnât paying attention to what you said as much as he was to the way his mushroom tip fit perfectly between your folds.
A soft gasp left your lips as he pushed it against your clit, playing with your labia and letting the clear liquid that dripped out of his tip, coat your clit.
âFuck,â Jungkook took a deep breath as his cock nearly slipped inside of you, playing with your earlier release to cover his length in it, âSuch a pretty pussy.â
With an annoyed roll of your eyes, you grew tired of his teasing and with a quick hook of your leg around his slim waist, you pushed his cock into you eliciting a deep groan [almost growl] to slip from his lips, âFucking hell, Y/n.â
âYou were taking too long,â you moaned, legs falling back again as you tried to ease the slight pain that came from his thick member entering your tight walls. Jungkookâs hair was brushing against your face as he looked down at the way you took him in, âI was trying to be gentle.â
âDid I ask you to be?â You asked with a scoff. Jungkook rolled his eyes, spreading his legs further apart and digging his knees into the bed for support as he covered you with his body, laying down to plant a quick kiss to your lips. âBrat.â
âJeon Jungkook,â your manicured nails traced down his back until your hands were under his thighs as if ready to make him move on your own, âAre you going to fuck me yet?â
He couldnât help but scoff in disbelief, an amused smile on his face and without saying a word, he pulled out until on his tip was past your ring of nerves, and suddenly pushed back in. Your lips fell open in a silent gasp as your eyes locked with his and he smirked.
âYou need it that bad?â Jungkook asked as he pulled your legs up, pressing them toward your chest and holding them down with his arms as he kissed your neck, dragging his cock back out, âHow bad?â
âJungkook,â you groaned, trying to move your hips but in this position it was useless, âStart moving.â
âMake me,â he kissed the tip of your nose, slowly sliding himself back in just a little. You rolled your eyes, moving your hand to hide your face as you felt yourself getting annoyed.
Jungkook was smiling like this was all just so amusing to him and with his lip pulled between his teeth, he thrusted in with little restraint, starting a slow yet steady rhythm, âDonât hide your face, darling. I wanna see the Y/n L/n moaning for me.â
âFuck you,â you shook your head feeling your pussy tighten around him with your legs pulled to your chest unable to escape his thrusts that were becoming more rough by the second.
âCome on darling, you can do it,â Jungkook groaned, feeling like he was on cloud 9 from the way your pussy took him in. He doesnât know how to explain it but he felt really fucking good right now. Heâs not sure if itâs that he hasnât had sex in a while, or if it had something to do with the fact that it was you, but he was fucking you with all his energy, letting himself relax and just feel good in the moment.
âJungkook,â you moaned his name, hand slipping from your face so you could wrap it around his neck, âKiss me.â
âKiss?â He asked, out of breath as his rhythm faltered and without thinking, he let go of your legs and let them fall back onto the bed as he tilted your chin up with a hand to kiss you. He set his other hand down on the bed for support, getting lost between your lips and your tight pussy.
Jungkookâs tongue licked against yours swallowing your moans, âY/n, itâs sâgood.â
âMhm,â you circled your legs around him, âFuck.â
Jungkook kissed down your neck, hands sneaking down to your waist and with one swift movement, rolled onto his back with you on top. He needed a change of pace because if he kept going, he would cum sooner than he wanted to and he needed you to cum one more time for him so if that meant letting you get in top, he would.
And it had been such a good idea because the sight of you sitting on his cock, leaning back and placing your hands on his thighs instead of chest, made him more excited. Your knees dug into the bed and with your fingers scratching at his muscular thighs and raised your hips, lifting yourself off his cock before plunging him back in.
âFucking hell,â Jungkook groaned throwing his head back into the pillows, a hand on your hip but not daring to take control, âThatâs it darling, fuck yourself on my cock.â
âJungkook,â the new position was having him reach newer parts inside you that had your thighs shaking, âIâm so close.â
âTake it,â Jungkook growled, holding you in place as he dug his feet into the mattress and began to fuck up into you, âTake my fucking dick, fuck.â
âOh my god,â you fell forward, hands scratching at his chest, feeling the knot in your stomach tighten, âIâI canât. Jungkook, baby, oh myââ
âTake it,â he groaned, grabbing your hips harshly and moving once again so he was on top, thrusting into you despite how hard it was getting to pull out of your tight walls, âTake it.â
âIâI,â your lips fell open in a loud cry, pinching his biceps for stability, and felt your walls come undone. For the second time in less than hour, your orgasm hit you hard. Jungkook released a string of grunts, feeling your pussy convulse around him and his cock was greeted with a flood of warmth that had his legs shaking, trying to support him but he couldnât take it. He barely had time to slip out before he was letting go, his cum dribbling down to your thighs as he let out one final moan of your name.
His body seemed to collapse down next to yours, panting and out of breath, âFuck.â
The two of you were a mess, sweaty and sore and all you wanted to do was lay down and possibly sleep but where you were did not go past you unnoticed. You searched around for your cellphone, knowing you set it down somewhere before trying to change and found it on your nightstand with six missed calls from the Bride-To-Be.
Jungkook took a deep breath, sitting up and looking down at the mess the two of you made on the bed. He got up, not bothering with covering himself up as he found a towel and tried cleaning himself off with it while you got on your phone.
âDuty calls,â you joked with a sigh as he came to your side and began to wipe down your thighs. Yeonwoo sent you a dozen messages talking about a midlife crisis of some sorts. You sat up carefully, thanking him for handing you your robe and you slipped it on.
âWhat happened?â Jungkook asked with an awkward clear of his throat as he began putting on his clothes again. Heâll admit he was taking his time getting dressed and you left to the bathroom to freshen up.
âI donât know, something with the gift boxes for everyone. I think Yeonieâs assistant forgot them,â you told him as you found new underwear to wear, making sure you were cleaned before putting them on. You left the door to the bathroom open to talk to him but you still changed into the white Jacquemus dress from earlier.
You walked up to him and he got the memo about zipping your back up and this time he couldnât help but lean down to press a kiss to your shoulder blade, âAre you going up yet?â
âIâm gonna touch up my makeup first,â you told him honestly, âYou go ahead.â
When Jungkook reached upstairs again, finding the party just as he left it earlier, itâs like nobody noticed he had even left for so long. They were all too focused on your new dress â which Yeonwoo absolutely adored on you. He found a glass of champagne and tried to escape from the swarm of people trying to hold a conversation with him when he wasnât thinking clearly at all.
Unfortunately for the two of you, the matching off-white shade of your clothing and the sudden mark on his neck wasnât lost on anyone else. Soon, pictures from every angle possible would paint a story neither of you wanted.
There was a sense of guilt that came with disassociating yourself from your best friendâs wedding plans. Jungkook could barely remember what they had done once they got to the island after a surprising night of visiting your cabin.
He hasnât had an actual conversation with you since that night and he has to be honest and say, he barely remembers the actual wedding. He hadnât seen you since the yacht before being dragged away by Hoseok the following day to do some activities for Namjoonâs groomsmen. You had gone to do your Maid of Honor duties and heâs felt out-of-loop since.
The entire day had been packed with things to do and heâs aware he looked dashing in every photo the photographers took of him in his 12,000$ Kiton suit. The matching suits they all wore made the groomsmen look classy and cohesive while the Balmain dresses the bridesmaids wore made them elegant and surrealâwell at least for you.
Thatâs what he thinks is the problem.
His best friends got married and yet all he was able to think about was you. It didnât help that despite the wedding being on a private island, there was still press everywhere, capturing every angle of this beautiful matrimony between nepo babies.
The reception had been filled with various questions from various interviewers that left all your shared friends staring at you suspiciouslyâespecially when questions of the hickey on his neck came forward.
As awful as it sounded considering the 46 million dollar wedding in the mountains of an island was stunning, he could barely remember half of what hadnât been photographed. He left the day after the wedding with an excuse that he had things to take care of where heâs currently at and his friends bid him farewell.
He got to the mainland a day before the others and it gave him time to return home before he left on another voyage alone.
âHow was the wedding?â His older brother asked, swinging his mallet just slightly, trying to find his nail before shooting the ball through the hoop, âI can't believe I was caught up in meetings all week in Tokyo.â
Jungkook looked oddly bright today compared to how he felt and he didnât want to say it was because his casual and boring clothes he wore abroad stuck out here in ways he didnât like. Thatâs why todayâhis last day homeâhe visited his familyâs 150 acre estate for a game of Croquet and possibly tennis, wearing a matcha colored Loro Piana cashmere polo with short sleeves.
âUm, it was great,â Jungkook said as he brought his cigarette to his lips and lighting the end before inhaling.
âThatâs it?â JungHyun asked with a scoff as he motioned for Jungkook to take his turn and he took his brotherâs cigarette, âDid you have an orgy with any models or were you your usual gentleman self that won the crowd against me?â
His older brother had been well known in his younger days for many reasons, his partying, his charm, his youth and education. When he was in his mid twenties, you could always catch him in some article their parents tried taking down in regards to driving under the influence or insulting a server. Unlike Jungkook who preferred a quiet life he could escape to, his brother did not and now heâs some big shot finance guy because his attitude growing up had ruined his chance of inheriting everything from their grandparents. Now it will all go to Jungkookâsomething theyâre all aware ofâand maybe thatâs why JungHyun makes snide remarks here and there.
Heâs not asking about the wedding because heâs curious, heâs bitter that despite his perfect appearance and Jungkookâs more intimidating kind, Jungkook was still the most well-mannered of the two and therefore the favoriteâif only he stayed and fulfilled his duties.
âNo orgy,â Jungkook said with a hint of disgust as he finished his round of the game, one step closer to winning, âJust Y/n.â
JungHyun had been mid-swing when he mentioned you and his aim went astray making him miss the next ring, âWhat do you mean just Y/n?â
âI slept with herââ
A loud and annoying laugh cut him off as JungHyun let his mallet go, âAh, so you canât remember the events of your best friendâs wedding because you were too busy sleeping with the nationâs sweetheart? Oh I cannot wait till father hears about this, maybe your wedding is next and then youâll finally step up to the plate.â
Jungkook scoffed, âWhatâs that supposed to mean?â
âIt means now that youâre back, and dating the richest girl in the country, thereâs no way Father wonât hand you down the company now,â JungHyun said bitterly, âAnd everyone said you running away would be a bad thing, but clearly itâs reminded you of who you are.â
âIâm not⌠Iâm not staying,â Jungkook said, âI leave tomorrow but I wanted to see you all. And Y/n and I arenât going to date, it was a⌠um.â
âMistake?â JungHyun asked, âJungkook, donât be an idiot. Youâve been obsessed with her for years.â
âI have not.â
âYou have, you just donât want to admit that all your talk about being independent and leaving the money behind to be free was complete bullshit,â JungHyun said with a scoff, âOr why would you mess around with her of all people. A relationship with Y/n is going to put you at the top once again and thereâs nothing that wonât be handed to youâand sheâs someone mother would approve.â
âYouâre dramatic,â Jungkook huffed, âOne night doesnât mean weâre dating or getting married or any of that other shit. I still donât want to run the business⌠I just want, I donât know.â
âYeah, you never know what you want,â JungHyun said, âBut whatever, if youâre set on running away again, so be it. Iâm tired of trying to make you see how you blindly follow along with everything you seem to hate.â
âMaster, your wife is on line three and sheâs wondering who is picking up the kids.â
âFuck, I donât know,â JungHyun groaned, annoyed and no longer interested in talking to his little brother, âThe driver?â
Jungkook watched his brother leave him behind and with a defeated sigh, he left.
âSo are you leaving?â Youngi asked him as he watched the bubbles in his pink champagne, âOr have you changed your mind?â
âI havenât changed my mind,â Jungkook said stiffly as he fixed the suit jacket he was currently getting fit into, âIâm just postponing my leave but I have a few things to take care of here.â
âLike with you and Y/n?â Youngi asked, making sure the fitting room at Dolce & Gabbana was empty aside from just them two. Jungkook didnât even flinch at the mention of you. Since the two arrived at this store his vision has been filled with large framed photos of you and your dear friend Park Jimin all over the store. Apparently you were one of the brandâs favorite Ambassadors and they made it known you modeled their products. Right now heâs facing the mirror with a picture of you modeling a satin baldonĂŠtte bra and high waisted panties. You looked beautiful and seductive and its been hard for him to not just stare at all your pictures since he got here. Now Yoongi is attempting to bring you up and he refuses to give in to the extent his relationship with you has gone.
You havenât even spoken since the wedding and even that had just been an exchange of pleasantries and no real depth to either of your words.
âNo, with my father,â Jungkook said stiffly as he shrugged off the suit jacket and called in the stylist to find something else. Yoongi sat up in his seat slightly more interested, âReally? About what? Donât tell me you're back in the running.â
âWe're going to discuss it,â Jungkook mumbled to himself.
He wanted to make one thing clear, his decision to seek out his father and work out some sort of plan where he can get back into the job he had been assigned to do, while also having freedom had absolutely nothing to do with you. It has nothing to do with the fact that youâre here, and heâs interested in you, and that it would be his parentâs dream for him to stay and be in a relationship with you and also take over the business finallyâŚ
This was his decision because his brotherâs right. He can't just keep running away.
âAnd what do you mean, with Y/n?â Jungkook asked, clearing his throat awkwardly as he glanced up at your five foot photo framed above the mirror, remembering the shape of your body against his, moaning his name and tightening your walls around him.
âHavenât you heard the rumors?â Youngi asked as he got on his phone, âIt seems as though you have competition.â
Jungkook didnât need to be told more as he took Yoongiâs phone from his outstretched hand and read what was on the screen with furrowed brows.
At the end of the article, in big, fat letters, the conclusion said: âNow the question is, will L/n choose the best friend, Park Jimin, or the elegant and influential Best Man, Jeon Jungkookâpossibly as the countryâs newest IT couple?â
When he gave Yoongi his phone back, there was no denying the sudden irritation that contorted his features. Itâs not like he expected this to not happen but⌠he doesnât like what theyâre implying. Yoongi studied him closely to see if he would get a response, but Jungkook gave nothing away. Instead he just ordered the tailor to pack the two suits he tried on so he could buy both, âIâll meet you out there.â
Yoongi left Jungkook to get changed and while he stood alone in the fitting room staring up at your boudoir photos framed around him, he took his phone and dialed your number.
âHello?â Your end of the call sounded hectic, louder and busier than his did. You were in the middle of an interview for Vogue and were taking a short break. It seemed like he called at just the right time since you were getting your makeup touched up.
âAre you busy?â Jungkook asked with a sharp tone that fell on deaf ears when the call went silent for a moment. He really did admire the photo of you, remembering just what it was like to trace his hands along your figure.
âWho is this?â You finally asked, making his jaw clench slightly.
âJeon Jungkook.â
âOh you see, I wouldnât have known that considering you didnât even say a hello or anything,â You told him in a sarcastic tone that made him want to smile but also roll his eyes, âBesides, I am busy.â
As if on cue, the call of your name in the background made your claim concrete. He bit his lip in thought, wondering what it was you were doing and how long it would take, âWhen can I see you?â
A smile played on your lips as you held up a finger to your assistant who was trying to hurry you along, âDid you make an appointment with my assistant?â
He couldnât help but scoff as his gaze turned toward a glare, practically imagining that picture of you smiling at him, âI didnât know I needed one, darling. When can I schedule one?â
âIâm not sure, i'll let you know,â you said and before Jungkook could respond, the call ended and he was left in shock that you just hung up on him. He gathered his things and met Yoongi outside to pay, completely bewildered by the fact that you just hung up on him so easily. He knows you havenât spoken since the night of the wedding where you were forced to speak but this is all he gets?
âWhat took you so long?â Yoongi asked as they left Dolce & Gabbana with new things.
xxx-xxx-xxxx: Appointment scheduled for, 6:30 pm today, L/n Residence @ the Northbrook Estates
Jungkook couldnât help but laugh in disbelief at the confirmation of an appointed meeting with you tonight.
The night on the yacht had been unexpected yet also long-awaited and now that its done with, neither of you seemed to know what to do about it. You wont lie and say you didnât enjoy that moment with him but you were also realistic. You and Jungkook would just never work out, youâre too different on the outside and thatâs why youâre so confused now as to why he called you.
âSo, Y/n, its been a busy season for you this year,â an interviewer said as the camera zoomed in on your expression as they continued, âNot only did you walk thirteen shows but I hear you also celebrated your close friends wedding. How was that? You must have been exhausted.â
âYou know it was a lot but it was exciting, I hold my friends dearly and Iâm just thankful I was able to make time for such an event,â you said and youâll admit your response sounded scripted. You didnât dive too deeply which is what youâre sure the interviewer wanted. You should have known that this stupid interview wouldnât just be about your newly established modeling career.
Whether youâve become Model of the Year for your catwalk, or for nepotism, you didnât are much either way. All you cared about was the fact that the interviewer has found a way to slip in questions they didnât need to know. Itâs like you can just sense the things theyâll ask and have already prepared and calculated the exact responses you need to give.
âOf course, and what a star-studded party,â the interviewer continued, âThe Best Man being Jeon Jungkook must have been exciting for you.â
âWell, weâve all known each other for a long time now soâŚâ You cleared your throat, looking a bit disinterested.
âYes, of course,â the interviewer said with a nervous laugh, âAnd pardon me, Y/n, but I just have to ask, did anything happen between the two of you on this very intimate trip?â
Your smile strained but you never looked anything less than sweet as you said, âWe are all just very close friends. Most of them have supported me in modeling.â
It was a clear attempt on your part to direct the conversation back to what it was supposed to be about. She ignored your last comment and said, âSo⌠I guess weâre all curious, some pictures from the parties were released of the two of you awfully close in certain open waters, and an evident hickey on his neckânot to mention the matching clothes, please, is there something between you and the heir of Jeon Corporation?â
âNothing that should concern you, no,â you smiled sweetly and the interviewer seemed to freeze up, unsure if she had gone too far in her questions.
Silence filled the space around them and there was no way to cut these parts out since it was a video shoot and after a while of the interviewer struggling to find which questions to ask, a person who worked for you stepped forward, âHow about another short break?â
The interviewer released a shaky breath while the both of you made your way off camera and your glam team was quick to touch up your hair and makeup as the director of the shoot approached you, âY/n darling, how are we feeling?â
âAnnoyed,â you answered honestly, âI thought this was supposed to be about my modeling.â
âYouâre absolutely right, darling, we apologize for any mistake weâve done on our part, IâShe must have taken it as an opportunity to ask her own questions and I promise you, we will have a deep conversation about this. We arenât TMZâŚâ the director said and you rolled your eyes.
âIâm done filming if sheâll be the one continuing the interview,â You told him as you began to walk away from him, not caring for the excuses or whatever and you can hear your publicist repeat your words to him.
It wasnât even that she was bad at her job or that she asked anything too deep but she just quickly got on your bad side with her persistence to not let the subject drop.
In the end you got your wish and filming ended smoothly before you were driven away to whatever was next in your schedule, trying not to think about the interview or the fact that there was a chance you would be seeing Jungkook later.
Things are evidently strange between you two and its not like youâve been blind to the articles or posts about you but you donât want to address anything. That night on the yacht seems like a fluke and like it shouldnât have happened at all despite how you felt in the moment. Your parents arenât the type to be invested in what is put in the tabloids but when their lifelong, country club going, friends call them and ask if thereâs anything between you and Jeon Corporationâs Jungkook, theyâre going to want answers.
It was just one night, one night where the two of you put aside whatever indifference you had toward each other just so you could release tension and this is the consequence for that. Of course everyone would want to know and of course no one was able to turn a blind eye to you. Even Yeonwoo managed to ask what you had been doing in the cabins withJungkook or so long that night and even when you tried to ignore her she kept pressing you for an answer.
In truth you had nothing to say. You were both adults and it didnât matter if anyone else was dying to know if there was anything going on between you.
You resented each other.
You had sex.
Plus, heâs going to leave soon and you donât think that bothers you?
When your driver pulled up to the tall skyscraper you called home, you headed inside alone.
âGood evening, Miss L/n,â the lobbyist held the door open for you, âYou have a visitor waiting in the lobby.â
Your brows furrowed, checking the time before heading to the library where sure enough, Jeon Jungkook was sitting by the fireplace reading whatever magazine was set out for him. At the sound of your Miu Miu kitten heels, he turned staring at you with his big rounded eyes being the only thing you could see beside his face mask, âYouâre early.â
Jungkook wrapped an arm around your waist as he pressed his lips to your cheek in greeting and you did the same, he joined you in the elevator and said, âI like to get to my appointments early.â
âYouâre lucky my shoot ended early or else you might have had to wait outside like a dog,â you teased as you pushed the button for the top floor where your penthouse was located. As part of the infinite amount of wealth your family has, you also dabble in real estate, mostly in the country as luxury apartments but you do have some homes overseas: Paris, New York, Argentina, etc.
The place you call home is a top floor penthouse with terrace and rooftop. The floor in which it was located was completely shut off for just you and included a private gym, yoga studio, three walk-in closets, and on top of that an elevator parking garage with a Mary Kay Pink Rolls Royce sitting pretty inside it.
Jungkook has never stepped foot in your home before and it was overwhelmingly stunning with four bedrooms, two living rooms (one on the top floor and one on the main floor too), an open kitchen, poolside terrace, and five bathrooms. You lived in ultimate modern luxury with traditional themes throughout the home like its hand carved wooden furniture and expensive marble walls.
âIs this different from your little magic treehouse in the woods you ran off to?â You asked, tempted to push his buttons as you removed your coat and handed it to your housekeeper who waited at the door.
âWell, considering my magic treehouse is worth 2.6 million dollars, no I wouldnât consider this that different from it,â Jungkook couldnât help but boast, feeling like heâs competing. Itâs like when he was in school and the students would brag about whatever exotic trip they got to go in the summer and he would have to make sure to tell them what he did was better. âMaybe Iâll bring you with someday.â
Fuck. Why did he say that? Why is he indulging in any of this in the first place? You and Jungkook should never be together, right?
âSpeaking of which, I thought you would have ran off now that the wedding is over,â You said as you mumbled something to the housekeeper making her leave, âDrink?â
âWater is fine,â Jungkook said as he made his way down to your 70âs inspired talking pit of suede Anabei sectional couches, âAnd I thought I would have been gone by now tooâ
âWhat changed?â You skied curiously, âDonât tell me it's because you would miss me.â
You held your hand to your chest as if to seem touched by the thought and Jungkook just rolled his eyes as you continued, âHow would all the other girls feel knowing Iâm keeping you here?â
Jungkook scoffed as he practically pushed your legs off his lap, âCan you not joke for just one second?â
You couldnât help but laugh, even if part of you felt confused wondering if this was supposed to be a serious moment or not. Jungkook huffed, running his fingers through his black hair, âIâm here because I wanted to talk to you about all those articles. My parents are working on taking those down, are you okay?â
Your eyebrows knitted together with confusion, âMe? Why wouldnât I be?â
âBecause Iâve never seen anything bad written about you and suddenly youâre being painted as a two-timer by spending a night with me while also⌠doing whatever it is you do with that friend of yours.â He was not jealous. He swears.
To be clear, there really is nothing going on with you and Jimin. Youâre just two friends in the modeling world who happen to like attending secret parties together and maybe making out drunkenly every now and then. Thatâs it. Youâve never slept with him and Jimin has too many girls on his line for you to ever consider him.
âIâll survive,â You mumbled as you looked over at him, seeing him in deep thought.
âIâm thinking of staying a while longer,â Jungkook said suddenly with a clear of his throat.
Jungkook was not the shy type and to be honest heâs not even sure why heâs letting you know [as if it made a difference] but the words just slipped out.
He did not like you.
Well, he didnât like you like that. It sounds harsh heâs well aware of that but he was never romantically attracted to you before so how is he going to suddenly feel that way after only a week in contact again. Maybe it was just unresolved sexual tension after years of feeling that way but that canât be the only thing thatâs making him want to revert back to what his life was like before he left to live on his own.
He escaped all this so that he could live somewhere quietly and do what he really wanted to do without worrying about anything else. Now heâs contemplating moving back and possibly involving himself with his fatherâs business again. Too much is going on for him to understand why.
âFor how long?â you asked as your fingers began to softly run through the ends of his hair making him look at you. You couldnât hide your curiosity and how close the two of you are.
When he had pulled you down to sit with him, it was with your legs thrown over his lap which he had been caressing every now and then.
An arrogant smirk formed on his lips as he licked them, tapping your calf lightly, âHow long do you want me here?â
Fuck, Jungkook is staying to get back in business⌠not for you.
Itâs not for you.
Itâs not for yoâ
His breath hitched as a sudden weight shifted to his lap, his hands immediately went to your waist, helping you get comfortable on him. Itâs embarrassing the way Jungkook didnât hesitate to reach for you when you sat on his lap feeling your arms thrown around his neck, âHere as inâŚâ
You looked down at the short skirt you wore which rolled up a little from how your legs straddled his thighs and said, âUnder me?â
A scoff in disbelief left his lips as he couldnât help but laugh, sliding your hips closer, âYeah.â
It was attractive the way your conversations never seemed to fall unless you wanted them to. It was a constant cat and mouse game, banter back and forth and he catches on quickly.
You couldnât help it, okay. Anytime you would see pictures of Jungkook since he left, he was always in a hoodie and sweats or something that just hid his entire body. Right now heâs wearing this Christian Dior white button-up shirt [which he rolled the sleeves up at some point since he got here] and it was messily untucking from his black slacks and he looks so hot right now. His hair was messy in a sexy way and he looked just like he used to, except this time with tattoos and a different sense of maturity.
Without wasting another moment debating if you should or shouldnât, you leaned down and kissed him. Jungkookâs lips parted against yours, stretching his neck to kiss you with more need. Unlike the first night you kissed, this one wasnât as rushed and angry. He took his time longer, pulling your bottom lip between his and doing it over again.
You pressed your chest against his, with your tongue swiping against his lip teasingly until you met his. Jungkookâs hands pinched the satin fabric of your skirt, feeling it tighten and rise, unable to stop the growing desire he was feeling for you. His briefs were getting tighter every time you shifted on his lap and whatever he had been thinking before you started making out.
âYou want to play?â He asked, shifting his head to deepen the kiss without bumping noses. You pulled away feeling desperate to catch your breath as his kisses began to travel down toward your exposed neck, licking and nipping under your jaw while beginning to make
âMaybe,â you sighed in pleasure, running your hands through his hair when you felt him kiss down your collarbone, closer and closer down the deep-v in your Miu Miu chiffon top. The strap to your shirt slipped down your shoulder as Jungkookâs rough fingers traced down the side of your arms.
You cupped his face in your hands, forcing him to go back to kiss your lips as you felt his growing erection press into you. It was hard for him to ignore the fact that the only thing covering what was under your skirt was a flimsy, thin piece of lace he shifted you closer until his bulge was tucked between your legs, placing your hips right over where he wanted them to be. Now that he moved you, his outline was more evident and had you grinding along him.
Jungkook released a groan with a sharp breath once he felt that sudden move and he couldnât help but buck his hips against you, feeling the fabric of his briefs constrict his hardened cock. It was a frustrating feeling yet he felt so eager with his tongue down your throat and his covered dick tucked nicely between your covered folds that he couldnât even think to stop and remove the layers.
His lips were feeling swollen against yours yet he didnât want to pull away, the friction he was getting from the way you humped him was turning him on with how needy it felt. You kissed along his jaw, grinding against his aching dick while your nimble fingers began to unbutton his shirt.
âGod damn,â Jungkook groaned as he threw his head back, relishing in the way your hips moved expertly against him while kissing down his naked chest. He slid his ass down your back, stopping over your butt and pulling your skirt out of the way for him to get a better feel of you underneath. With firm hands, he turned your sensual grinding into harsher and more deep movements that he met with his hips.
Heâs not sure he could take just this any longer. Anytime heâs with you now itâs like he canât do anything but fall for you and despite how annoying it is, he doesnât do anything to stop it. Instead, he welcomes it and right now all he wants to do and rip off the remaining layers between you so he could have your legs wrapped around him once more. Itâs only been days since the first time and he has not been able to stop thinking about it.
The day of the wedding he had been so distracted by you that he barely remembers any of it and now his best friends are on their honeymoon and heâs here thinking about you again.
Giving up on arguing how much he wants to have you, he wanted to get your clothes off and you were letting him. His hands had barely made it to the end of your top, ready to pull it off, when a loud ringtone cut through the living room, echoing off the walls and hard to ignore. The two of you looked at each other confused.
He sat up, reaching his hand into his pocket and pulling out his phone, annoyed that someone had thought to call him.
âAnswer,â you said breathlessly as you looked at the caller, already sliding yourself off his lap.
âItâs just Hobi,â Jungkook said, letting out a huff in annoyance as he set his phone back down, turning to kiss you but it rang once again. Your eyes met his and he begrudgingly grabbed his phone and swiped to answer, âHello?â
âHey man, I just got off the phone with your Yoongi,â Hoseok said as he sat in a large closet filled with designer clothes, âAnd why am I always the last to know if youâre leaving or not?â
âWhat?â Jungkook looked visibly annoyed with his scrunched brows and tense jaw and for some reason that made him hotter to you. His shirt was undone completely and his belt was halfway pulled off and with his legs spread, it was very hard to ignore his hard on.
Your eyes softened with curiosity and you couldnât help but bite down on your bottom lip as you decided to just go for it. First, your hand rested on his thigh as he listened to whatever Hoseok said, but slowly you made your way toward his bulge.
âYouâre gonna start working with your dad again?â Hoseok asked, unaware of the way Jungkookâs attention had drifted down to the palm of your hand, right over his dick. Your fingers pressed against the underside of his member, massaging your palm into it and feeling the way his hips raised. âWhat happened to not caring about the money and the company and all that blah blah blah?â
Jungkook couldnât help but roll his eyes, snapping back to his friend instead of what was going on. His fingers wrapped around your wrist, tightening their grip as if in warning. It was a useless attempt considering he tried helping you pull his belt off and saying, âCome on man, it was never like that.â
He could hear his own tone falter somewhere between lying and having his cock free from the confines of his tight briefs with your hand feeling him.
Hoseok laughed, debating what suit he should wear, âNo, itâs exactly like that.â
Jungkookâs hand went to your head, softly caressing you as you kissed down his navel, your hand wet with spit, jerking him off while licking just above his dick. He didnât bother with a response to his friend as he continued speaking anyway, âIs it true you and our princess are messing around? Itâs all over the tabloids.â
Sarcasm was evident in Hoseokâs tone but Jungkook was too focused on your tongue licking up the length of his hard cock, wetting it with spit that made your hand movements smoother.
âLook I get it, youâve had all this tension something was bound to happen but damn, why didnât you tell me that either?â Hoseok asked with evident shock, unaware of the blowjob his friend was receiving on the other end. Your lips were wrapped tightly around his length and with your hand too, it was hard for Jungkook to keep his reactions to a minimum.
âHobi, IâI, yknow I just,â Jungkook cleared his throat uncomfortably to hide an evident groan. He was beginning to fidget under your ministrations, especially when you squeezed under his cock, massaging his balls, âSorry.â
âSorry?! Thatâs all you gotta say after chewing me out for giving you condoms as a joke.â Hoseok was lying in a pile of Louis Vuitton suits on the floor, engrossed in his one-sided conversation, âOur friendship seems one-sided buddy. I thought when you came up to me⌠I thought, âHey, maybe my good buddy Jungkook will get in this dandy hot tub with meâ but no, you know what you do instead? You ask where Y/n is! God I shouldâve knownââ
Jungkook threw his head back in a mixture of pleasure and obvious irritation that he couldnât take it anymore. His finger pressed into the red button and the call was cut to end suddenly. As soon as his phone hit the couch, you pulled off his length with a deep huff for air, âThat wasnât very nice of you.â
âHeâll get over it,â Jungkook mumbled as he reached for your hand to pull you toward him, âCome here.â
âIâm not done,â you leaned away from the kiss he was trying to give you but his hand held your head in place, not caring to kiss the lips that had just been around his hard dick. Jungkook wasnât as gentle as his need grew heavier and with a strategic pull at your top, it ripped down the back, âJungkook!â
âWhat?â He asked with a giddy smile, tempted to be playful, âIt was in my way.â
You rolled your eyes, sitting up to take your skirt off yourself and prevent another hazard while Jungkook finished undressing himself. âIt was custom, asshole.â
Jungkookâs smile dropped with worry, lips parted in surprise until you burst out into a laugh and fell onto his lap, âYou should see the look on your face.â
âHa ha, donât scare me like that,â Jungkook chuckled, âI was already thinking about the fortune I would have to pay to fix that.â
âJungkook,â you ignored the fact that the two of you were naked, in the middle of an intimate moment and asked, âWhat did you mean earlier?â
âWhen?â Jungkook asked, caressing your leg, âAbout staying? Yeah, Iâm serious.â
âYou are?â You crossed your arms over your bare chest, âWhy?â
âWhy?â He was visibly taken back, âWhat do you mean why?â
âI mean⌠just a few days ago you were adamant on leaving right after the wedding and when you left the resort before everyone else we all kind of figured you had left but youâre here now andâŚâ You took a deep breath in thought.
âDo you want me to leave?â Jungkook asked, sounding more hurt than he intended to. All this time pushing and pulling his feelings for how he felt about being here and seeing you was getting to him. Heâs very aware how confusing he is and spending a night with you shouldnât have changed his mind this quickly while he also refused to admit.
âWe didnât talk about what happened at the party,â you said suddenly, feeling Jungkook drape his shirt over your naked figure as the conversation shifted drastically.
âI know,â he dropped his head, âIâm sorry, I was really confused and I couldnât tell what I was feeling or how you were feeling and I was mad and⌠I thought you probably didnât care.â
âI mean, I didnât,â you shrugged, âBut because I figured it was just a one time thing since you were very obvious with how little you thought of me and now youâre saying youâre staying longer while visiting me at home and it just⌠I donât get it.â
âFuck, Iâm sorry,â Jungkook was in his slacks again, trying to fix whatever mess he might have made over time, âI just⌠I was just being dumb. I wanted to act like I wasnât into you at all because I was mad at everyone else and it wasnât fair that I took it out on you but I thought you didnât like me either.â
âAnd youâre right, you were mean to me,â you nudged him with your foot, âSo really, I shouldnât even be in this position with you right now.â
Jungkook didnât dare argue when you called him out, âYou always pretended to hate me even when youâd get jealous if someone else talked to me and you could never take your eyes off me.â
His brows furrowed, reminded of the trip and how everyone always joked that he wanted you when he was so stubborn on saying he didnât. He didnât like how predictable his life was.
âBecause I knew everyone thought you were perfect,â Jungkook tried pulling you toward him, âAnd they didnât know how you liked to push my buttons and say things you knew would get to my head and how you were actually so unbelievably perfect that it pissed me off everytime I let you get to me.â
âDonât sweet talk me now,â you teased when he leaned over to lay between your legs, content with the sight of you in his Dior shirt, âHow are you gonna repay me for being such a dick?â
âWhatever you want,â Jungkook admitted, âSay the word and Iâll give you whatever you want.â
âI have everything I want,â you ran your fingers through his hair.
âCome on Y/n, donât make this hard on me,â he whined playfully, âEveryone else is already making it hard and I just want to spend the night with you. Iâll let you use me.â
Your brow raised and with a soft laugh you pulled him toward you for a kiss, âI get to use the Jeon Jungkook? What will everyone say?â
âThat they saw it coming,â Jungkook chuckled as he pressed his lips to yours, âSo donât stop the inevitable.â
You rolled your eyes, feeling your arousal from earlier slowly make its return, âYouâre so spoiled.â
âI know.â
Jeon Jungkook now knows what an awful liar heâs been these last couple of years. All of this talk about wanting to be different, break free from his familyâs influences and the world of money and power, was meaningless in the end. He tried, he really did but his rebellion of running off and doing whatever he pleased, refusing to acknowledge the company, the wealth and the people in it was short lived because he never actually wanted to escape it.
He was still going to be friends with the people he grew up with and fall back to his old routine of country clubs and parading on yachts or private islands.
He was still going to take over his share of his fatherâs company and dress himself up in designer Kiton suits that he used to despise wearing.
He was still going to fall for you, the person he despised simply for being an exact reflection of himself. You were perfect for him in every way on paper and that made him want to push you away but in the end, he still fell for you like he knew he would.
Some people dream about having the life he does, or growing up the way he did and yet here he was selfishly wishing it all away. It was perfect, it was so insanely perfect and unfair that Jungkook ever thought he wouldnât be happy with what he had been handed down to him for simply being born.
âThis person gathered valuable experiences in the world and has shown such a strong will to portray it all into commitment for the company and that makes me a proud father,â A deep voice spoke from behind a podium with an echoing mic that had the attention of over a hundred people, âPlease, welcome the newest V.P. for Jeon Corporation, my youngest son, Jeon Jungkook.â
Jungkook had an arrogant smile on his lips as he walked onto stage, thanking everyone for congratulating him on his quick and easy advance in the companyâeven surpassing his older brother.
âHonestly, it is a big thank you to everyone close to me, for helping me see how ready I am to step into this role and fulfill my duty as a member of this corporation,â Jungkook said confidently, looking at all his friends who had a mixture of confused yet knowing smiles on their faces.
âWhat a brat,â Hoseok joked with Namjoon, âAnd I blame you for this.â
âYeah, Iâve never seen someone get pulled back into the countryâs good graces so easily,â Namjoon laughed, remembering all the articles about how my ridiculous Jungkook was for publicly stating he would never be a part of the company.
âThatâs because heâs spoiled,â Jungkookâs older brother chimed in, âEven after he says heâs gonna walk away from it, heâs still gonna be welcomed back with open arms.â
Taehyung released a playful sigh, âI want to be Jeon Jungkook when I grow up, the perfect life just handed to me and Iâm just too blind to appreciate it.â
âTae, youâre rich,â Yeonwoo whispered to him, Taehyung grinning at her reminder and sitting up straighter.
âHow was it?â Jungkook asked his friends as he looked around the table.
âWell rehearsed,â Taehyung gave him the thumbs up, âAlso, whereâs Y/n? I thought sheâd be here.â
Jungkook checked the time on his watch, his leg already bouncing underneath the table, âYeah, I thought so too.â
It shouldnât be that big of a deal to him. This was all just some flashy way for his father to make Jungkookâs debut in the business widely anticipated and you had other things to do than be here. The two of you arenât even officially together yet so itâs not like you owe it to him or anything.
âY/n,â Jimin whined as he watched the valet open the limo door for you, âPlease donât ditch me. Iâm your best friend, imagine how much fun we could be having. Everyoneâs going to ask where you ran off to after the dinner.â
âWell you can tell them,â you hurried to finish applying your lip gloss, âThat I had more important things to do than get drunk at some fashion party.â
âRight, just throw me to the side like I mean nothing,â Jimin said dramatically, âIs this how you treat friends now?â
You couldnât help but laugh, knowing he was only trying to cause a scene. Jimin knew you would be calling it an early night but he just wanted it to be difficult. With a small sigh, you double checked that you looked fine in the mirror and said, âOkay, wish me luck, Iâm hoping I get laid tonight.â
âI also hope you get laid tonight so that I donât have to listen to you talk about how much you want to see him,â Jimin said as you made your way out the car, âGoodnight.â
By the time you got to the banquet, the cameras had been long gone from the entrance and so you were able to make your appearance quietly. You would have been here earlier if there hadnât been an ambassador dinner tonight that you had already agreed to do before Jungkook decided on staying and you just couldnât miss it.
You felt bad because Jungkook had asked you to come be his date but he understood why you couldnât make it right away. If anything he should be happy that you hurried over from dinner to the banquet without an outfit change. Despite the number of attendants, it was really a private affair with only a couple people from the press but nothing too grand and over the top. It made arriving late less miserable and finding Jungkook and your friends much easier.
And when you first involved yourself with Jungkook in this way, you should have known it wouldnât all be easy. You were now somewhat seeing the most eligible bachelor in the country and nobody knows about it aside from speculation. Speculation wonât stop spoiled rich girls who want him to themselves and thatâs what you saw when you found him.
âItâs so great to have you back Kooky, itâs like⌠the best thing to ever happen,â some girl gushed at him from the once empty seat to his left. She seemed unaffected by the stares she received from around the table and didnât care at all that Jungkook wasnât even glancing her way. He doesnât know her, sheâs probably just the daughter of some wealthy couple who thinks she has a chance with him.
Jungkook stared forward, watching his friendsâ faces as their eyes softened, no longer listening to the girl who said, âMaybe we can get together some time.â
A gentle hand touched his shoulder, soft lips brushing against his ear as you said, âMaybe we can get together some time too.â
There was no denying the smile that grew on his face as he turned to look at you and how close you were to him. Jungkookâs lips parted in pleasant surprise, ready to talk to you when someone else spoke up.
âExcuse us, sweetheart,â Namjoon said to the girl, âIt seems our table is full, maybe you can try somewhere else?â
She left with an annoyed scoff, making room for you to sit down, âSorry Iâm late, did any of you miss me?â
You had a sweet smile on your face, a camera clicked somewhere else in the distance surely capturing how close you were to Jungkook specifically, who was tracing his hand along your thigh.
âDearly,â Jungkook said as he leaned into you for a quick kiss on the lips, âThanks for coming.â
âI told you Iâd try and make it,â you said to him, âI missed the speech didnât I?â
âIt was nothing special,â Jungkookâs hand began to slide down the space between your legsâor at least as far as your dress would let it, âJust the usual talk about how amazing I am, it was all very boring.â
âBut I love talking about you,â Your tone was sarcastic yet flirty, your hand falling over his in warning when he began to pull up your dress just a little. You were sitting at a table with a large draped tablecloth that hid your legs underneath but you were still very aware of the fact that your friends were all around the table.
âY/n,â Hoseok called for you from across the table, âHow does it feel to have the Jeon Jungkook wrapped around your finger?â
Jungkook turned to his friend with a harsh glare, knowing he was just poking fun at it all but still managing to get under his skin. You looked at Jungkook with a knowing grin, âLike nothing I didnât expect.â
He scoffed, squeezing your thigh possessively, âI think the feelings are mutual, darling.â
You leaned into him, not caring for being around so many important people with cameras trying to capture whatever moment they can, âThey are.â
::.

"who's in your top three for hotness in f1?"
⌠Summary: Y/n interviews some fellow drivers to find out who they think are the hottest in F1
⌠Pairing: F1 grid X Driver!Reader
⌠Characters: George Russel, Lando Norris, Toto Wolff, Daniel Riccardo, Charles Leclerc, Carlos Sainz and Y/n
A/n: I want to publish this for dayslol. Sorry, English is not my first language.
I found these gifs here, but I couldn't give credit, I'm sorry đđ
"So George, who's in your top three for hotness in f1?"
"Just like that?" He says laughing to his friend who laughs along.
"Yes, let's answer that."
"Okay, hmm... I'll take first place, of course, second place I'll give it to you and... Lewis will take third place."
"At least I won second place." Y/n laughs and George agrees.
"I know some who will say your name for first place." He speaks with a mischievous smile.
"Who?" Y/n furrows her eyebrows and George rolls her eyes, smiling.
He approaches Y/n, which moves the microphone away from the body, George speaks in her ear, placing his hands in front of her face so others can't read his lips.
Y/n's eyes widen when she hears the big list her friend is making, this scene would generate memes for a long time.
"That's enough George!" Y/n says pushing the pilot who laughs at her reaction.
"Fact, Those are facts!" He says laughing and Y/n can't help but laugh along
"These are not facts, thank you for giving us a little bit of your time Mr Russel.
George smiles and waves to the camera.
"Okay, let's try to find more pilots" Y/n says walking a little and the Cameramen follow her.
"Look, it's Lando, let's go... Landoooo!" Lando is distracted talking but smiles when he sees who was calling.
"Hi kitten." He says approaching Y/n and gives a slight smile to the camera.
"please tell us, what is your top three beauty in f1?" Y/n puts the microphone in Lando's mouth who seems very surprised.
"Okay, I think... I think Carlos will take third, I'll put myself in second and... You can take first place." Lando says awkwardly.
"I'm surprised Carlos isn't first."
"No, he is to be first for Ferrari friends." Y/n can't help but laugh at this.
"Or Williams friend" They talk at the same time and laugh about it.
"Thanks for that Lando, see you later." Y/n says laughing a little and leaves in search of more pilots.
"Oh look at Toto guys, let's go!" Y/n says excitedly and runs to him, before anyone pulls him to do something.
"Oh my God, no..." Toto says jokingly when he sees Y/n approaching smiling.
"Yes, Toto, I have a question that your answer will totally change our lives today." Y/n says trying to stay serious.
"I highly doubt it."
"Well... who's in your top three for hotness in F1?" Toto looks at her in disbelief.
"No, you didn't just-"
"Yes, I did, come on we need answers."
"I refuse to answer that.
"Yes you don't need to answer, we know that Christian horner It's in first place." Toto looks at Y/n in complete disbelief.
"What the fuck-"
"Please, this is a family atmosphere sir." Toto passes his hand over his face trying not to visualize a murder for Y/n.
"Don't you have anything else to do?"
"You're right, I should be looking for younger pilots, bye Toto!" Y/n says, moving away, and Toto smiles.
"That girl is terrible"
"Is there anyone in particular you want to talk to?" Y/n asks looking at the Cameramen.
"Maybe-" He is interrupted before he can finish.
"s/nl/n!!" They look and see Daniel Ricciardo coming with his typical smile.
"Daniel Riccardooooo!" Y/n smiles and Daniel comes to hug the pilot, rocking them both from side to side.
"Are you the reporter today?" he says, letting go of her and messing up her hair that he had messed up during the hug.
"I'm the reporter today, and since you're here, you'll be my victim."
"Oh no!" he jokes and they both laugh.
"So Danny, who's in your top three for hotness in f1?" Daniel smiles and looks up at the sky thinking for a bit.
"You can have all three seats, Sweet baby." The people around listening scream at this and Y/n really didn't expect that response.
"You can't do this!" She says, pushing him lightly.
"Oh I already did that!" He continues smiling at her embarrassment.
"Please Danny give us another answer." She begs her friend who shakes his head.
"No, this is my final decision."
"Okay, okay, we'll accept this today, thanks for the embarrassment Danny." She jokes and he hugs her again and she starts to walk away with the Cameramen.
"Love you!" He says watching her walk away.
"Love you too!"
"Okay, let's continue... who were you going to talk about before?" Y/n said as remembered that him was interrupted by Daniel.
"Charles Leclerc."
"Oh yes, Charles Leclerc, let's go after him." Y/n said walking faster and more objectively this time.
"Have you seen that video of the boy calling Charles? We can try that." Y/n says laughing and the Cameramen smiles along. "Oh no need, there's the man." Y/n approaches Charles, and touches his shoulder to get his attention.
"Mr. McQueen, would you like to answer some of our questions?" Y/n puts the microphone right in Charles' mouth who pretends to bite it.
"Do you still call me that?" He says laughing and hugging her by the shoulders.
"Yes forever, now... can you tell us your top three for the most handsome in F1?" Charles thinks for a moment and smiles at the camera.
"Well-"
"Of course I'm in first place, then Y/n and last, you, right Charles?" Carlos says, joining the conversation and appearing on the other side, making Y/n stand between the two.
"Why do you think you're number one on my list?" Charles says raising his eyebrows.
"Because I'm number one in your heart." Y/n looks at the camera rolling her eyes.
"Would that be your list Carlos?" Y/n says bringing the microphone closer to Carlos.
"No, you're at the top of my list hermosa"
"Ass kisser" ChalĂŠs says with a fake cough.
"What's your list Charles?" Y/n says turning the microphone to Charles.
"Okay, I'm first, Y/n is second and I'm going to put Pierre third." Carlos' eyes widen.
"Fuck you Chales!"
"WE'RE IN A FAMILY ENVIRONMENT!"
"At least I know I'm number one on Lando's list." Y/n looks at the camera, her mouth clenched shut to keep from laughing.
"Absolutely Carlos, absolutely." She pats Carlos on the shoulder, who doesn't understand.
"What does that mean?" Carlos looks serious and Y/n smiles mischievously.
"Nothing Carlitos, nothing..."
"And your list Y/n?" Charles smiles.
"No, I'm just the reporter today."
"Let's go there, we want to know." Chales says trying to take the microphone from Y/n's hand.
"Stop it Charles!" Y/n says pulling the microphone back, and the two start a playful fight.
"Stop kids." Carlos says trying to take Y/n's hands away from Charles' hair.
This will get a lot of views
"well, we'll end it here, but maybe we'll do a part two with the other pilots, thanks for watching, bye." Y/n smiles and waves to the camera Along with Carlos and Charles.
"And... cut!"
"I love you Y/n."
"I love you too Charles."The two hug, and Carlos rolls his eyes.
"I don't get paid for this." Carlos sighs.

Picked the wrong date II Lando Norris x Reader â
SUMMARY: You convince Lando to accept the invite to chicken shop date telling him it would make a hilarious video knowing his shy and awkward personality. What neither of you expected was the connection between you and Amelia.
WARNINGS: none? it's short and not proofread.
A/N: This is definitely a request different from what I normally get so I was kind of just winging it;) still hope you enjoy it.
"Hey, it's so nice to meet you. Thank you for coming." Amelia walked over to greet Lando with a handshake.
"Likewise, and I'll be honest if it wasn't for this one I don't think I would've come." Lando laughed pointing back at you.
"Oh really?!" Amelia laughed as she greeted you with a hug. "Are you a fan of the show?" She asked you as she pulled away.
"Big fan, I'm obsessed with your videos, especially the ones with Finneas and Aitch." You replied honestly.
"oooh fun times." Amelia smiles awkwardly making you laugh.
"Go sit down baby." You nudged Lando as you saw someone waiting for him to get mic'd up.
"Right." Lando kissed your cheek then the back of your hand before finally letting go.
"Aww, how cute." Amelia stayed next to you as she was already prepped. "How long have you two been together." She asked.
"Just over two years." you blushed just thinking about your time with Lando thus far.
"Aww, well he's lucky to have you, you're stunning." Amelia complimented you.
"Isn't she just?" Lando smirked overhearing.
"Oh stop it you two are making me go red." You giggled walking over to an empty seat behind the cameras.
_________
"I know you followed me a long time ago and I didn't follow you back," Lando confessed.
"Wha-" Amelia feigned offense. "Yeah, that's true I was gonna bring that up"
"I was just playing hard to get." Lando laughed awkwardly making you smile at his awkwardness.
"Maybe you'll follow me back? Actually, I don-"
"I do actually follow you back now." Lando revealed.
"You do?" Amelia asked surprised.
"Well yeah but to be honest only because she made me." Lando pointed over to you.
"Hmm, maybe I should be on a date with her." Amelia joked making both you and Lando laugh.
"Maybe you should. She's great." Lando giggled.
"Hmm, why don't you give me your number after this?" Amelia asked you.
"Sure will baby." You played along.
"Ooo baby." Amelia giggled, twirling her hair at you jokingly all while Lando couldn't stop smiling.
"You stealing my girlfriend?" Lando joked.
"Hmm, we'll see by the end of this," Amelia said as she took a bite of a fry.
"Cool." Lando looked down laughing.
_
"I just looked at my calendar yesterday." Lando joked pretending he wasn't aware of this interview until yesterday.
"I've known about this for years, it's in my diary." Amelia said making Lando laugh.
"Oh yeah? Your personal diary? What did it say?" Lando asked.
"It said, date with Lando Norris secretly a plot to get with his girlfriend who is crazy beautiful and will be sitting out of frame but just in my line of view throughout the entire date." Amelia improvised all while you couldn't help but laughing.
"It said all of that?" Lando asked laughing too as he looked over at you to see you giggling along.
"Oh yeah." Amelia tried holding back her laugh too.
"Your plot is working honey." You commented.
"Yeah, I figured." Amelia nodded confidently.
_
"You know I've never been to a race." Amelia pointed out.
"You should come." Lando replied, and you could notice the honesty in the invite.
"I would love to," Amelia replied eagerly. "Maybe she can show me around while you're looking for the on button on your car." Amelia winked at you.
You couldn't hold back your laugh. "I'll show you anything you want." You flirted along.
"Anything?" Amelia raised her eyebrows suggestively.
You had to hold back a laugh to flirt along. "Anything." You reaffirmed.
"Woah some things are for my eyes only baby," Lando spoke to you trying to hold back a laugh.
"It could be for our eyes only Lando," Amelia suggested to Lando.
"hmm, I'll think about it." Lando played along able to control his laughter and pretending to think about it.
_
"I heard it's quite hot in there." Amelia continued.
"Yeah, it gets very hot," Lando confirmed. "Yeah, sweaty and-"
"Even hotter if I was in there," Amelia added.
Lando chuckled looking down shyly. "Even hotter if she was in there." Lando quickly recovered pointing over at you.
"Hmm true true." Amelia nodded corroborating.
_
"Can you drive?" Lando asked.
"Uhm-" Amelia hesitated.
"That's a no."
"Just a- we'll just move on." Amelia brushed past the question.
Lando silently sniggered. "It's okay y/n can't drive either."
"See you drive and y/n and I can be your passenger princesses." Amelia pointed out.
"Oh right so like a throuple situation or?" Lando asked.
"Uh well yeah I guess so I'm not sure I can get her without you so." Amelia shrugged.
"Right, that's settled then." Lando shrugged too as if concluding the plan.
Amelia looked around for a bit silently. "Sorry, I'm just imagining that happening and it's great." She smiled dreamily.
-
The rest of the date was similar, with jokes and awkward laughter, as well as flirting between you and Amelia and occasionally Lando.
You knew F1 fans would love this when it came out and there was no doubt they'd love the little added comments from your side.

The Woman Next Door
Pairing: Lando Norris x Reader
Summary: After winning the Dutch Grand Prix, Lando returns home to Monaco, eager to prove his genuine feelings to his neighbor, especially after their bet.
Word Count: 4181
You're my downfall, you're my muse My worst distraction, my rhythm and blues I can't stop singing It's ringing in my head for you
Lando had been your neighbour for nearly two years, a friendly presence in the building. But with you, his charm seemed to intensify. He flirted casually, his eyes sparkling with a playful passion. "You're my type!" He'd always say. Yet, your heart remained unmoved. The women he brought home were a strong contrast to you: tall figures in designer heels, showing their immense beauty. You, however, were a simple person who preferred simplicity over expensive clothing and felt most comfortable in jeans and sneakers.
Lately, his flirtations had intensified. He always ensured you knew he was single and was waiting for you. His promises of making you happy and treating you right were sweet, but you weren't fooled. Deep down, you couldn't deny a flicker of attraction, but you kept it hidden. Lando was a handsome man, but you'd seen enough to know he was more than just a pretty face.
"How was your family?" Emily asked, turning to you as she drove. She'd picked you up from the airport in Nice.
You smiled. "They're fine! It was great to be back home. I missed them."
"You know who else missed you?" Emily teased, a mischievous glint in her eye.
"Who?" You asked, confused.
"Your hot neighbour! I ran into him yesterday at the supermarket and he asked about you."
Your eyebrows furrowed. "Did he?"
"Yeah! He said, 'How's Y/n? I haven't seen her for a while. The building seems quite boring without her.'"
You crossed your arms. "He didn't say that!"
"I'm serious! I told him you were coming back today, so maybe he'll be waiting by your door, ready to confess his feelings. And then... BANG! Happily ever after."
You couldn't help but wince at Emily's over-the-top dramatic gestures. Despite her tendency to go overboard, you couldn't help but love her for it.
"You've been watching too many films."
"You're going to end up together. Mark my words." She replied and you made a gagging sound that made her laugh.
As she dropped you off at your apartment building, you grabbed your luggage and thanked her with a tight hug. You entered the building and pressed the lift button.
As the liftdoors opened, you stepped inside, dragging your luggage behind you. You were admiring your reflection in the mirror when a hand stopped the doors, causing them to reopen.
You turned to see Lando, dressed in a McLaren white vintage t-shirt and black jeans. His curls were perfectly coiffed, and a smirk played on his lips. Like always.
"Look who's back!" Lando's voice filled the cramped lift. "Good to see you."
"Hi, Lando." You replied.
The two of you lived on the top floor, making the lift feel even smaller and slower. "How were the holidays?"
"Fine! Too short." You admitted, the tension palpable. "What about you?"
Lando studied you from head to toe, his gaze lingering on your face. "They were good. Family, friends, good weather. But I'm glad to be back to work." The lift seemed to be moving at a snail's pace. "And happy to see you again."
"Here we go!"
Lando chuckled. "What?"
"You know what! You know that flirting with me isn't going to work. I'm not interested."
"But I am!" He said. You quickly looked away, praying for the elevator doors to open. "I'm very much interested."
"To how many girls have you said that?" You asked, your voice laced with scepticism.
"None, believe it or not." Lando replied, his tone sincere.
As the lift doors opened, you stepped out and fumbled for your keys. Lando leaned against the wall beside you. "What can I do to convince you to go on a date with me?"
You took a deep breath, finally finding your keys. He was starting to make you nervous. "I don't think your fans would like to see you having dinner with a woman."
"That's not a problem for me." He said confidently. "I'll have dinner with whoever I want." As you unlocked your apartment door, he continued, "But if that's the issue, we can have dinner at my place, eat McDonald's in my car, anything to make you comfortable."
You pushed your luggage inside and faced him. "LandoâŚ" You began, your voice soft but firm. "I'm not looking for a one-night stand. I want a relationship. A public relationship. I want to go out with my partner, have dinner, eat ice cream, have meaningful conversations on the balcony. I want trust, and I don't want to worry about being cheated on. I want kids and I don't want to wait until my thirties. Marriage isn't essential, but I want this person to be my last. If you want me to go on a date with you, prove to me that you're that person." Lando listened intently, his expression serious. "Bye, Lando!"
You started to close the door, but Lando's hand quickly stopped it.
"Uh, when was the last time you saw me bring a woman home?"
You swallowed hard, trying to regain your composure. "What?"
"I haven't brought anyone home since I told you I liked you. Four months ago! I never told you I was looking for a one-night stand. I've always been open about my past relationships and I've never cheated on anyone. I also want to have a family and I'll convince you to change your mind about marriage." You stared at him, speechless. "But if I have to prove myself, I'm up for the challenge!" He said, winking as stepped away. "Bye, Y/n."
You closed and locked your door, your heart pounding in your chest. Your cheeks were flushed. For the first time, he had left you speechless. You'd always dismissed his flirting as a joke, but now you realized that maybe it was more than that.
Later that night, you invited your friends Maria and Lisa over for dinner and a movie night. You didn't want to be alone with Lando next door, and you needed to talk about it.
"He's so into you!" Lisa exclaimed, her eyes sparkling with excitement. "It's the classic boy-next-door story."
You set the popcorn and wine on the coffee table. Maria, already a bit tipsy from dinner, was making the most confident comments you'd ever heard from her.
"Just go on a date with him. He's handsome, rich, and lives next door. What more do you want?"
"I want stability, honesty, and someone who makes me happy and laughs with me." You replied.
"He already does that!" Maria insisted. "He was honest with you, you laugh with him, and I'm sure he'd make you happy, if you know what I mean." She chuckled, and Lisa joined in.
"You're drunk!" You teased.
"I am, but I'm still the wiser one." She retorted. "Why don't you just sleep with him? See how that makes you feel."
Your eyes widened in surprise. "You know I'm not like that. When I'm with someone, it's because I like them."
"But you do like him." Lisa argued.
You rolled your eyes and stood up. "I'm going to the bathroom."
Lando was engrossed in a game with Max when the doorbell rang. He glanced at the clock, surprised by the late hour. He wasn't expecting anyone and it was unusual for someone to just walk into the building and ring his bell.
"Someone's at the door." He told Max, removing his headphones. The doorbell rang again. "Give me a second."
He was taken aback to see your friend, Maria, standing there. Her cheeks flushed and the scent of alcohol was strong.
"Lando, hi!" She slurred.
He furrowed his eyebrows, confused. One of your other friends was watching from your apartment door.
"Hi, Maria! What can I do for you?" Lando asked, his tone polite but curious.
"Quick!" Lisa whispered to Maria.
"Look, I'm going to the point. Y/n wants to go on a date with you, but she's afraid you only want to get in her pants." Maria blurted out.
Lando crossed his arms and leaned against the doorframe. "Is that so? Does she know you're doing this?"
You were nowhere to be seen, and he couldn't believe you'd ask your friends to do something like that.
"Of course not! But we're her friends and we know she really likes you. She doesn't show it, but she does." Maria insisted.
You dried your hands and glanced in the mirror, adjusting your hair before opening the bathroom door.
To your surprise, the girls were gone from the living room, but you heard giggles coming from the door. As you approached, you realized what was happening.
"So, about the dateâŚ" You pushed past Lisa, finding Maria deep in conversation with Lando.
You quickly stepped out and grabbed Maria's hand. "What are you doing?" You were panicking.
"I'm helping you!" She whispered, but everyone could still hear her.
"You're not. Come on!" You started walking her back to your apartment, but Lando stopped you by gently grabbing Maria's wrist.
"You can't take her now. She was about to tell me what I need to do to convince you to go on a date with me." He said, smirking. You resisted the urge to slap the smirk off his face.
"She's drunk. She doesn't know what she's talking about." You argued.
"She clearly does." Lando insisted.
Maria nodded in agreement. "Yes, I do. Lando, you just have to win."
You and Lando looked at her, each holding one of her wrists.
"What?" You asked.
"She'll go on a date with you if you win the next race." Maria announced.
Lando smirked and looked at you. You opened your mouth to protest, but he was quicker. "We have a deal!"
"No, we don't!" You said, but no one seemed to be listening.
Maria extended her hand for Lando to shake. "Deal! You better win, because I won't be able to help you again." She winked and went inside your apartment.
You looked at Lando, your arms crossed. "That's not going to happen, you know that right?"
"Why? Are you afraid I'll win?" He challenged.
"No!" You replied.
"So, let's do it. If I win, you go on a date with me--"
"And if you lose, you'll stop asking me to go on a date with me!" You added. Lando stood still, considering. "What? Are you afraid you'll lose?"
After a moment, Lando extended his hand. "Fine!" You grabbed his hand and shook it.
The weekend arrived sooner than you'd expected. Lando had qualified P1, making you question your decision to agree to the bet. You were a Mercedes fan, but deep down, were you rooting for McLaren? It was great to see him win again, but was this really the best time to root for him?
You sat on Emily's sofa between Lisa and her dog, Zeus, watching the race. You wore your Mercedes cap, while Lisa and Maria sported their Ferrari t-shirt. Neither of your friends was a McLaren fan, but today they couldn't stop shouting the name of the British driver.
"Oh my god, he's going to win!" Lisa exclaimed.
"Don't jinx it." Emily replied, slapping her arm.
You slumped on the sofa, unable to say anything. Only when the race ended did you let out a sigh you didn't realize you were holding. He had won the Dutch Grand Prix. He had actually won.
Your friends jumped in the air, celebrating his victory. You ran your hands through your hair.
"Guess who's going on a date with a hot British driver!" Lisa mocked, pulling you up from the sofa.
"You are!" Emily repeated, jumping around you.
An hour later, you were walking home alone. The Monaco weather was pleasant, and the streets were bustling with people.
As you arrived at the building, your phone vibrated in your pocket. You pulled it out to see a message from Lando.
Lando: Hope you're free tomorrow night! I can't wait for our date.
Fuck, you mumbled to yourself.
On Monday, you left the apartment earlier than usual. The night before, Lando had knocked on your door, hoping to talk to you, but you couldn't bring yourself to answer. The next day, you woke up an hour earlier and left for work, hoping to avoid him on your way out. But the universe had other plans.
As you were leaving the building, you bumped into Lando, who had been out for a run.
He chuckled. "Leaving earlier to ignore me?"
You cleared your throat. "No, I just have a big project going on⌠and have to go earlier."
"Okay." He said, clearly not believing you. "So, I hope you're excited for tonight."
"I don't-- I don't think I have time tonight." You stammered.
"Well, I already reserved our table, and I don't think you'd back out of a bet. So, I'll pick you up at 7 pm. Wear something orange if you have it." He whispered in your ear before walking away.
You'd been thinking about Lando all day, your mind racing with anticipation and nerves.
Upon returning home, you immediately took a long shower and emptied your closet to find the perfect outfit. A nice orange summer dress caught your eye. You couldn't remember the last time you'd worn it, but you recalled how flattering it was with your tan.
When you put it on, it looked even better than you remembered. However, doubts crept into your mind. What if he just wanted to get in your pants? What if this was all a joke to him?
Lando knocked on your door at 7 pm sharp, and a few seconds later, you opened it. Lando struggled to contain his astonishment at your appearance.
You were wearing a cute red dress and heels. Your long hair was wavy and you looked stunning. You always looked amazing, but tonight there was a special glow about you. It was a shame you weren't wearing orange.
"Wow!" He said, taking in your appearance. "You look... beautiful."
You blushed and looked away, trying to hide it. "Thank you." You whispered.
You closed your apartment door, and Lando called for the lift. The ride to the garage was silent, surprising you that Lando hadn't said anything flirty or teased you.
He guided you towards his Lamborghini Urus, and you muttered a silent thank-you that he chose the Urus. Of all his cars, it was the most "normal" on the streets of Monaco.
As you left the garage, you broke the silence. "Where are we going?" You asked over the soft music of the radio.
Lando glanced at you. He looked good in his black pants and white shirt. You loved a man in a white shirt.
"It's a surprise."
"I hate surprises!" You said.
Lando laughed. "You hate surprises or you hate my surprises?"
You looked away. "Look at the road, Lando."
After a minute or two, Lando spoke again. "You look really beautiful."
Once again, you blushed. Thankfully, it was starting to get dark. "You already said that."
He stopped at a red light, gazing intensely at you. "And if you allow me, I would say that to you every single day." For a moment, his intense gaze made your legs feel like jelly.
The tension was broken only by a car honking behind you. Lando raised his hand in apology and pulled away. Three minutes later, he pulled up at the marina.
"I agreed to a date with you, not to run off." He said, getting out of the car.
You unbuckled your seatbelt and Lando opened your door. He gently placed his hand on your back, barely touching it, and guided you towards a large yacht named Aurora.
"It's from a friend of mine." Lando said as he pulled you towards the yacht deck. "He named it after his baby daughter. He let me borrow it for a few hours." Your mouth gaped open in surprise at the sight of the table for two, beautifully set with roses and candles. "I thought you'd be more comfortable alone." He explained. "Without the prying eyes of strangers or paparazzi."
Once again, he'd left you speechless. The candlelight, the city view, the soft music, and the sound of the water hitting the yacht created breathtaking scenery.
"I didn't picture you as the romantic type." You said.
Lando put his hands in his pockets and looked at you. "I can be romantic⌠when I have to." You didn't respond, just stared at him. He had two buttons undone, revealing the tan of his chest and the necklace he wore. "Let's sit?" He suggested and you nodded.
He pulled out your chair, demonstrating his gentlemanly side. He sat down opposite you, and a moment later, a man in a black suit approached with a bottle of wine.
The man poured the wine for the two of you. You could tell it was a very expensive wine just by looking at the bottle.
"Cheers!" Lando said, raising his glass. You clinked your glass with his and took a sip. It was delicious. "Do you like it?"
You nodded. "Are you trying to get me drunk?"
Lando chuckled. "Far from it. I want you to stay sober and experience firsthand how great of a date I can create for you."
"You're really taking this seriously!"
"When I like someone, I always take things seriously." He said, his face turning serious. "I fight for what I want. And it's no lie that I want you."
You swallowed hard, trying to hide your emotions. Before you could respond, the food arrived. It was a pepperoni pizza for you and a prosciutto one for Lando.
"How-- how did you know--?"
Lando smiled. "You order a lot of pizzas. Like⌠a lot. So one day, I stopped the delivery guy and asked him what you had ordered. He said you always ordered the same one."
You tried to suppress a laugh at his silliness. "Not creepy at all." You said sarcastically.
Lando laughed. "I know, I know. But I wanted to do something nice for you."
You kept on talking and eating, and you both laughed a lot. You had to admit that you had never felt so comfortable with someone before. After you finished eating, Lando and you walked to the car.
"I'll take you home." he said. He turned on the car but paused. "Unless you don't want to go home yet." For a moment, he seemed shy, which was unlike him, at least around you.
You thought for a moment. "I don't know..." It surprised you that you were considering spending more time with him than necessary. "I'm not going home with you if that's what you're thinking."
Lando laughed. "Well, I guess I'll have to call you an Uber if you're not going home with me. Like, to the same building." You blushed and let out a sigh. He loved teasing you. "Do you trust me?"
You gave him a side look. "No!"
"Wow, that was brutal. Let me rephrase the question: Can I take you somewhere, please?"
You hesitated, but eventually nodded your head.
Lando drove to the top of the hill, a spot he liked to visit when everything felt overwhelming. The view was breathtaking. Monaco looked beautiful during the day, but it was at night when the city truly took your breath away. He parked the car, and you both stepped out.
"This is beautiful." You said, looking at the view.
"It is. But it's not as beautiful as you," Lando replied. You blushed and looked away. You'd never blushed so much in your life.
You sat down on the bench and Lando joined you. "What do you really want from me?" You asked, breaking the comfortable silence.
"What do you mean?" He replied.
"I'm not stupid, Lando. You're an F1 driver. You're young and handsome. You could have anyone you wanted."
"But I want you!" He smiled. "You're smart, funny, and incredibly beautiful. And you're different from the women I've dated in the past. You're genuine. Like I've already told you, I like you. A lot."
You looked at him, your heart filled with a mix of excitement and uncertainty. "I don't know, Lando."
He squeezed your hand gently. "I understand that I'm not the easiest guy to be in a relationship with, but I'm willing to take things slowly. I just want you to know how I feel." The two of you sat in silence for a while, simply enjoying each other's company. "Do you want to go back?" Lando asked after a while.
You nodded. "I think it's time."
As you drove back down the hill, you couldn't shake the feeling that something special was happening between you and Lando. You were excited, but also a little nervous.
When you arrived at your apartment building, Lando parked the car in the garage, but neither of you made a move to step out. "Thank you for tonight. I really enjoyed it." You said.
He smiled. "I'm glad you agreed."
"Well, I had no choice, remember?"
"Yeah. Remember me to thank Maria for the bet." He laughed, and you joined him.
"Yeah, yeah." After a while, you leaned in and kissed his cheek. It was a sweet kiss, and Lando closed his eyes as he felt your lips against his face.
As you pulled away, Lando hesitated, but after a second, he cupped your face and gently kissed you on the lips. Your heart raced, and you closed your eyes, quickly kissing him back and tangling your hand in his hair. He deepened the kiss, his lips moving slowly against yours. His touch was gentle, and you felt a warmth spread through you.
When you pulled away, you were both breathless. You looked at each other, your eyes filled with love and desire. "I've been wanting to do that, for a very long time." He said.
You looked into his eyes, your heart pounding in your chest. "To how many girls have you said that?" You teased him.
He looked at your lips. "None. And if you let me, you're going to be the only one." He said and he couldn't help but smile.
You smiled back. You couldn't help but think that your life had just taken a turn for the better. And so did Lando. Finally, he got the girl. The woman next door.

â๨ŕ§ËâĄË ࣪ kook!sweetheart!reader walks her first runway for her own lingerie brand, and of course rafe has a front row seat.
warnings: rafe being a supportive bf, suggestive ending
a/n: trying a new fic layout, i hope you all like it as much as i do <3 lol i had the hardest time trying to decide on the song i wanted to use for this fic
you couldnât believe the day was finally here. ever since you started your lingerie line, you wanted to have a runway show to showcase the beautiful pieces, and all thanks to rafe, he was able to make that possible. while your boyfriend insisted on being backstage with you, you told him to wait until you walked out for the finale, wanting to surprise him in full glam and a set you have yet to release. to say you were excited would be an understatementâ you were literally having your very own victoria secret show.
with fashion bloggers, magazine editors, and most importantly; rafe, the man who believed in you more than yourself, being in attendance, you just wanted everything to take place smoothly. âoh my god, you look amazing!â you glanced up from the small vanity mirror, meeting kelceâs girlfriendâs gaze. âme?!â your eyes widened as you shot up from your seat. âlook at you! kelce is going to lose his mind.â you laughed, admiring the way her makeup sparkled under the studio lights.
âyou think so?â she smiled, both of you swallowing nervously when you heard a âokay, weâre on in five!â over one of the staffâs walkie talkieâs. âoh, god, just what i needed to hear.â you joked. she hugged you before joining the rest of the girls in line. outside in the crowd, rafe was already taking pictures like a proud facebook mom, shushing kelce and topper once the lights dimmed and the music started. the intro to britney spearâs âgimme moreâ began playing, the crowd letting out a series of âooohâsâ and âahhhâsâ when the first model walked out.
rafe was only recording for your sake, his eyes strictly set on his hands as he patiently waited for your entrance. everything that the models were wearing was something he had already seen on you behind closed doors. rafe couldnât help but feel his chest bloom with pride as he looked around the beautiful venue. despite him paying for everything, you were the one who worked with the planner and coordinator to bring your vision to life.
and what a vision it was.
you had spotlights lining the runway, glitter littering the glossy flooring. various props were also placed on the sidelines. âlook, here comes y/n!â rafe arched a brow at his friend, kelce clearing his throat awkwardly. âdonât get too excited, now..â rafe grumbled, eyes locked on your silhouette. the music reached itâs final bridge, your lingerie clad body illuminating the stage. rafe had no words. you were wearing wings like the angel you truly were, the rhinestones and embellishments on your set reflecting under the now multicolored lighting.
âyouâre beautiful, babygirl!â rafe shouted, his eyes widening as you got closer. you looked ethereal. not one hair was out of place, your makeup done flawlessly to enhance your natural features. you caught sight of him, sending a wink his way before blowing him a kiss. âsheâs getting it tonight.â he held a hand over his heart, watching the way your hips swayed as cameras flashed from every direction. rafe stayed standing up until you disappeared behind the stage, his smile reaching from ear to ear.
ânow thatâs a show..â he adjusted himself in his pants, posting you on his instagram with the caption; âsheâs perfect.â
eventually, the event came to a star strucking end, your boyfriend meeting you soon after with a huge bouquet of pink roses. you couldnât help the sudden wave of emotions from washing over you at the sight of him. âoh, rafe!â you threw yourself into his arms, being careful not to ruin your makeup. âyou were so amazing out there, baby.â he rubbed your back. âyeah?â you pulled away, pecking his lips. âfuck yeah.â his voice dropped a few octaves, his hand finding the curve of your ass. âcan you take those angel wings home?â he whispered.
âyes.. why?â you smiled mischievously. âcause i need you to walk for me again. naked this time.â

chris accidentally reveals that they're expecting a baby on a twitch live.
"Dude, I'm exhausted." Chris murmured grumpy. He and his brothers were in a Twitch live, even though it's only nine, he's already feeling tired.
"Then say goodnight everyone and go to sleep." Nick said scrolling on his phone.
"I wish, but Y/N is not home yet and I can't sleep without rubbing her pretty belly." Chris said without thinking, he forgot they were in a live and the viewers didn't know about Y/N's pregnancy.
"Chris!" Matt said hitting the back of Chris' head. Then he realized what he said, Chris immediately widened his eyes and his tiredness seems like disappear suddenly.
"Shit, I mean... I mean that I can't sleep without her, because... 'case she's my girlfriend and I love sleep cuddling her." He got lost in his words, Nick was hiding his face with his hands while he laughed about his brother's stupidity.
"Yeah, yeah. Move on." Matt said changing the subject, even though the viewers were asking in the comments section about this.
Eventually, they ended the Twitch live and Chris knew that he was fucked. Y/N would be mad at him for telling in live they're expecting, even though it's was an accident. Later she got home from work and she seems really, really mad.
"Oh man, you're dead." Matt said while he laughed and left for his room, Nick was already on his.
"Baby, you're home!" Chris said trying to change her mood, but she just looked at him with an angry look. Her eyes were so pretty, even when they seemed to catch fire. "I swear I didn't mean, I'm sorry, baby."
"I can't believe you did that, Chris!" Y/N said, she left her purse on the kitchen table and crossed her arms while Chris trie do hug her.
"Maybe they don't catch."
"Chris, they are already asking on my dm and on my comment section if I'm pregnant. Of course they catch." Y/N now seems more upset then angry, she sighed and pull the chair to seat. Chris started to massage his girlfriend's shoulders, knowing that she was needing that now.
"I'm really sorry, you know I didn't want to get you upset." Chris gave her a kiss on the forehead, slowly moving his hands from her shoulders to her belly. "I just love spending the night with my girls and it's really true that I can't sleep without rubbing your belly."
"I know, I just wasn't ready for a soft launch." Y/N relaxed a bit, letting her body being hugged by her boyfriend warm arms. "I'm sorry, I didn't want to overreact."
"No, no! It's my fault, not yours." Chris said. "I'm gonna run you a bath, seems good? Do you want me to order something for you? I'll do whatever you want."
Y/N just murmured softly, Chris always know how to make her feel better. And she knows he'll be a great father for their baby, even when he talks without thinking, he is still the best.
Lately that night, Chris posted a picture in his Instagram story, now with her consent. His head laying in her beautiful belly and her hand slowly massaging Chris' hair.

Hiiiii! So Iâm not super thrilled with this but Iâve been having a time of it at work so I worked on this when I could đ
Not sure if there will be a second part yet tbh weâll see!
Edit: almost forgot to add that the gorgeous divider below is by @gildui they have some absolutely beautiful cod themed dividers.
Carrion
Reader comes back Wrong
Content: implied/referenced torture, injury, suicide reference/implicated âpactâ (by background character), lack of wound care
The breakup was bad.
Not in the top 3 of Simonâs worst nightmare-inducing memories - but likely top 5. He certainly wakes up chest aching and eyes burning often enough for it to be a solid contender. Heâs haunted by tears that dripped like acid and the cracks in your voice deafening him.
On bad days, he thinks he can still see you shuffling down the halls, eyes sunken and red-rimmed, dark circles and chapped lips. Anger giving way to resignation giving way to pain and sadness. The rest of the team tight-lipped and wincing, no sides taken, shoulders and ears offered equally in commiseration.
Your misery wanted no company, though.
You didnât tell Simon that you were leaving. Gaz let slip over a subdued but obligatory game of cards, youâd be gone for a long time - loaned out to Laswell.
Simon didnât go to see you off. Didnât ask why you were leaving or accuse you of being too immature to be on a team with him. He didnât wish you good luck, stay safe with the rest of the team on the tarmac at 0-dark when you took off.
He should have.
Price says youâll be gone for six months. Just six. Itâs better this way, he reminds them when Johnny balks. His eyes are on Simon, though, when he adds that you need to get your head on straight, and you werenât able to do it with them.
So. Six months.
Simon stops expecting you on his left. Stops smelling your shampoo lingering on bits of clothes he pretended not to notice you steal. He still dreams about you begging him not to push you away.
183 days come and go.
On day 184, Laswell sends word - your temporary team likes you quite a bit. They want you to stay on for one more month⌠one more mission⌠one moreâŚ
Six months turns to ten.
312 days since you left; since you were home.
The team hasnât stopped leaving a space for you at their tables, right between Gaz and Price. You miss your own birthday. Laswell says sheâll pass along well wishes.
The situation changes. A target resurfaces. All hands on deck, including yours.
374 days. Twelve months and some change.
They donât spend the holidays with you, but thereâs a stack of presents waiting in Priceâs office. Your mugs have collected dust in the back of the rec room cabinet.
Laswell says youâre still deployed on one last mission, return TBD. Soon, though.
487 days. Still TBD. Soon. Really. Just some loose ends to tie up.
561 days. There was some trouble during exfil but youâre alright. Just a bit of recovery.
Youâre coming home.
590 days. Youâll land at 0700 tomorrow.
Itâs been 591 days since Simon last saw you. Since any of them last saw you.
Laswell has come to deliver you personally, a kind of apology for keeping you away so long. Sheâs the first off the transport and youâre right behind her.
Your hair is shorter. Much, much shorter. Thereâs a new patch on your jacket - memento from your temporary team, Simon figures.
Apart from that, you look⌠almost exactly how you did when you left. Dark circles under your eyes, mouth drawn and tight. Thereâs invisible weight compressing your shoulders, urging them in and down. But youâre there again. Just the way he remembers.
(Why are you the way he remembers?)
âLong time, no see,â Gaz calls, reaching for you.
Thereâs half a beat, you blink. Hesitate.
Then you grin and reach back.
âMissed my pretty face, did you?â you reply.
Johnny laughs and brings you in for a hug. You twitch hug him back, patting his shoulder as you pull away.
âGood to have you back, Sergeant,â Price says, shaking your hand.
You turn to Simon, nod in greeting, expression pleasant. âGhost.â
So thatâs how itâll be? Alright.
âSergeant.â
That night, you go out for drinks with the team and Laswell. Simon goes along to show there are no hard feelings.
(Not that you seem to need reassurance. Itâs not even that youâre not looking at him. You are. Whenever he speaks, the rare times he does, or if he shifts in his seat. Your gaze doesnât linger or jerk away, you treat him like you do Johnny and Gaz and Price.)
When Johnny mixes up your usual for Priceâs, you donât even seem to notice. But Simon does.
âWhen did you start drinking whiskey?â he wonders.
You used to swear youâd never like it, claiming it tasted like boot polish and the âBoys Clubâ wasnât worth the indigestion it gave you.
âSomeone from my other team,â you say by way of explanation.
You donât ask for another whiskey. Laswell gets the rest of your drinks for that night.
Simon turns into the rec room two days later and finds you already there. Thereâs only the light above the sink on, and youâre staring at the steady drip, drip, drip from the faucet. A cup of black coffee cools in your hand. Youâre already wearing gloves.
âSugarâs in the left now,â he calls.
Your head twitches, something pops in your neck.
âOh, thanks,â you chirp, turning for the cabinet. âSleep okay, LT?â
ââBout as well as I ever do,â he replies gruffly, sidling up next to you for the kettle.
You hum. Thereâs a yellow packet in your hand. (Didnât you used to like the blue one?)
âI get that,â you sympathize.
He snorts. Since when?
âDo you?â
When he glances down, youâre not looking at him. Instead, youâre trying (and failing) to get the sink to stop dripping.
âYou know thatâs been broken for ages,â he says.
At least as long as the 141 has been around. You tried to fix it once when you first joined up, too, with no luck.
âRight,â you say. A little too quickly, a little too agreeably. âWell, anyway, enjoy your tea, Lieutenant.â
You leave the packet of sugar behind. Unopened.
Youâre back and itâs like it used to be - not just before you left, but before the breakup. Before there was ever anything to break up.
Your time away seems to have given you whatever space from Simon you were hoping for, because you act like there was never anything at all.
Heâs half expecting, dreading, that youâll pull him aside at some point. Ask for a word after dinner, or swing by his room before bed. Talk about the break up now that cooler heads prevail and 19 months have sanded down the rough feelings. Seek closure, maybe.
But you donât. The weeks pass until a month has gone and you never exchange more than easy pleasantries with Simon. You give him space, give him privacy. Things you never used to give him much of before, for better or worse.
You fool around with Gaz and Johnny, trade quips with Price, and follow Simonâs orders. Train recruits. Write reports.
Youâre back, better than ever.
So why does it feel like Simonâs still waiting for you to return?
Youâre always dressed now, head to toe. Day or night, rain or shine. From the neck down youâre in full sleeves, long pants, boots and gloves.
It doesnât occur to anyone until youâre sweating through your compression shirt in the gym. Wipe your shiny forehead for the dozenth time before Johnny says, âwhy not just take it off?â
âItâs not that bad,â you laugh, waving him off.
When you lie down to bench press, Simon notes the bottom of your shirt tucked tight into your waistband. He exchanges a glance with Johnny - heâs seen it too.
You used to dress in shorts and sports bras during exercise, a towel over your shoulder. In the common room, youâd mill in tank-tops and boxers. Even used to trot down the hall swaddled in a towel or robe, mumbling that you forgot a razor or some other toiletry before showering.
âWhat, did ye get an embarrassing tattoo or somethinâ?â Johnny asks finally.
You blink at him, expression bemused. âA tattoo? Why do you think I have a tattoo?â
âYer covered up like a nun on Sunday. It cannae be comfortable.â
You snort. âJust because youâre allergic to clothes, MacTavishâŚâ
âAllergic?! Whaâs thaâ sâposed tâmean?!â
Gaz barks a laugh. You grin and continue your workout.
Simon tries not to be disturbed by the name âMacTavishâ coming off your tongue for the first time since you met.
Itâs your first mission since youâve been back. You have new gear, a new handgun. Somethingâs been carved into the side of the barrel in Cyrillic, Simon canât read it. A new callsign.
(âWhat kind of a name is Carry-on?â Johnny teases, but he doesnât quite hide the unease in his eyes.
You snort and lace your boots tighter. The edge of you sleeve inches up, revealing the curve of a glossy scar that wasnât there before.
âYouâre one to talk Mister Maybelline.â)
Someone painted an upside down cross on the temple of your helmet with their finger. You thumb it before stuffing it over your head.
âYou ready for this?â Gaz asks, knocking his knee into yours. The two of you have been paired together for this mission. (Was it Simonâs imagination, or did you look annoyed that you would have a partner?)
âAlways,â you reply.
Simon doesnât hear what happens, but Gaz looks shellshocked when you haul him into the helicopter during exfil. You shake him a bit once everything is secure and the birdâs in the air.
âGarrick,â you shout, âcâmon, where did he get you?â
It takes him a second but he blinks, offers his arm for your inspection. You move with a speed even Simon is impressed by, tearing into the nearby med kit almost viciously. Gaz is patched up in record time and you sit back with blood on your hands, barely even seem to notice as you wipe them carelessly on your pants.
(You used to be more squeamish, werenât you? You used to be the last one they asked for medical care because seeing your teammates in pain made you nauseous.)
âWhat about you?â Gaz asks after a small eternity.
You yawn. âWhat about me?â
âYou got nicked too, didnât you?â
Simon takes a second look at you and now that Gaz mentions it, youâre soaked in blood. Wet patches on your vest, your pants, dripping down your boots. It takes him a moment to notice the tear in your thigh, shredded flesh visible when you rock with the wind turbulence.
âDid I?â you wonder, glancing down like you only just noticed it.
Johnny curses, reaches for you - but you wave him off.
âItâs just a scratch,â you reply. âBarely even feel it, no worries.â
Then why is it still bleeding?
When the team lands, you hop off the heli without so much as a wince. Droplets of blood lead all the way back to your room.
(When Simon asks Nikolai about the hand-etching on your gun, he says the word means âpromise.â)
In the after-action report, your callsign isnât âCarry-On.â Itâs Carrion.
Laswell takes you off the mission two months later, a joint assignment with KorTac. They send three operators to work with TF141 - Stiletto, Konig, and Nikto.
On the transport to infil, Simon notices the Russian inspecting his handgun in a seat separated from the rest of the squad. He recognizes the Cyrillic carved into the barrel this time: Promise.
Itâs an eerie, creeping suspicion. An anxious fog rolling in.
Itâs not one single thing that trips an alarm in Simonâs head, but a steady collation of oddities over months. A single arhythmic beat, a note off key. Just once or twice, but over and over until he canât notice anything else.
You act just like yourself except for all the minute ways you donât.
You smile big and wide, sunshine bright, when they make a good joke. Your laugh is still the same, bubbling up in your throat, head thrown back. You smell the same when you pass Simon in the hall, shampoo and soap thatâs haunted him for a year and a half.
Itâs insidiously subtle; he canât pinpoint what it is for the longest time. Your mannerisms are almost too practiced, the cadence of your voice too measured. A missing turn of phrase you often used, replaced by something unfamiliar.
Simon dismisses it as guilt-laden paranoia. The two of you ended on bad terms with a year and half worth of space between. Heâs hardly one to gauge whatâs normal for you anymore.
And besides, the few times someone else has noticed at those tiny yet all-too-obvious inconsistencies, you shrug it off as something you picked up while away.
But he catches Johnnyâs brows furrow one afternoon as you light up a cig (after swearing for years that youâd never pick up the habit) and Simon knows heâs beginning to see it too.
âYou ever notice,â Gaz begins slowly. Youâre the only one missing from the rec room this evening, retired with a drawn-out yawn. âThat Carrion always mentions being away, but never talks about it?â
Simon stills. Johnnyâs eyes fly to Price, whoâs grimly tapping at his crossword puzzle.
âThe fileâs redacted,â he says. Heâs seen it too then, tried to investigate for himself.
âThatâs normal for a mission like that,â Simon reasons carefully.
âI donât mean the mission,â Price says. âI mean Carrionâs file.â
âThis is a good movie,â you mumble from the armchair youâve stolen from Price. âWhatâs it called?â
Simon exchanges glances with the rest of the team. No one points out that this is (used to be?) your favorite.
Price looks into the team you were loaned out to. All were KIA or remain MIA. All but one. His file has been scrubbed too, the only documents readable are discharge orders and a PMC contract, both associated with the callsign âNikto.â
Theyâre running out of time.
Less than 36 hours on the clock with only one lead, and itâs a zealot with a suicide pact. Price and Laswell both took a crack at him with nothing to show for it. Even Ghost has gotten hardly anything and heâs running out of nails. With time, he might get something useful, but they donât have much of that left.
In the anteroom looking into interrogation, youâve been observing through the one-way glass with your hands in your pockets, head tilted, expression serene.
Price and Laswell are discussing strategy, contingencies. Gaz and Johnny are throwing in their two cents, but Simon⌠Simon is watching you.
Like medical, torture used to be your Achilles. You were trained like the rest of the team, but there was never any need for you to step into the room yourself. Hell, you were a last resort even for observation or emergency resuscitation. No one blamed you for having a weak stomach for information extraction.
But today, you glance over your shoulder and make eye contact with Laswell.
âIâll handle it,â you say with an air of finality.
The room goes silent. Price opens his mouth, but itâs Laswell that speaks, voice hard with resignation.
âDo it.â
You donât blink. âYes, maâam.â
You walk out the door without a backwards glance, shoulders loose but each step steady and purposeful.
âWhat the hell is going on, Kate?â Price demands.
Kate sighs, looks away as you enter the interrogation room.
âLetâs do this outside. It wonât take long to get that intel.â
The only thing sheâs able to share is that you and your team were captured. For a long time. And then youâre already stepping out of the interrogation room, wiping your bloodied hands off on an old rag.
Thereâs an unusual glint in your eye, an unnatural stillness in your expression.
âGot what we need,â you announce cheerfully.

Simon hadnât been this nervous since his baby girl was born nearly two years ago now. His palms were sweating as he glanced over at his daughter, who was waiting with excitement by the window.
âAre you okay, Si?â You asked, flashing your husband a warm smile, before wiping down the kitchen table for the fifth time that afternoon. âYou seem nervous.â
âThink we both are.â Simon gave you a half smile, his eyes softening as he took in the sight of his precious family. âJust nervous for the boys to finally meet my girls.â
You walked over to him, and were about to press a reassuring kiss to his lips before the doorbell rang, signaling the arrival of your guests.
Your daughter squealed with excitement, and ran to open the door, her little arms barely able to reach the handle. âDaddy! Theyâre here!â
The door swung open revealing the 141 boys, each of them wearing matching smiles. Your daughter beamed up at them, and each of the men noted how similar she looked to her father.
The boys filed in, and it took all of a few seconds before your daughter was chatting away, clearly very excited to be meeting her daddyâs friends.
She had Johnny and Kyleâs full attention, showing them her newest collection of toys her daddy bought her, while John made his way over to you.
âItâs wonderful to meet you, Mrs. Riley.â John smiled, politely pressing a kiss to your cheek. He extended his hands to you, revealing a bouquet of flowers. âI wouldâve insisted on meeting you sooner, but your husband has done an impeccable job of keeping you and the little one a secret from us.â
Simon wore a proud smile as he watched the encounter, suddenly very much liking you being referred to as âMrs. Rileyâ. âFor good reason, didnât want to put them at risk.â
âNonsense, Simon. Iâm so happy to meet all of you. Itâs about time Iâve met the men who my husband trusts with his life.â You waived away your husbandâs concerns, prompting John to chuckle. âIâm glad you all could make it tonight. These flowers are beautiful by the way, thank you!â
Johnny and Kyle eventually made their way over, each of them greeting you with bone crushing hugs.
âDaddy! Uncle Johnny said that heâd babysit me one day!â Your daughter exclaimed, moving to hang onto Johnnys leg tightly.
âDid he now?â Simon asked, quirking a brow as he looked in Johnnys direction. âUncle Johnny, eh?â
âThought it was fitting, no?â Johnny laughed, petting your daughterâs head playfully. âGotta say, L.T, sheâs a spitting image of you.â
Simon felt a flush rise to his cheeks, the sentiment causing a warmth to spread through his bones. âIâd say sheâs got her motherâs looks.â
When dinner rolled around, your daughter insisted on sitting in between her uncle Johnny and Kyle, relishing in all the stories they could tell her about her daddy.
You took note of the permanent smile etched onto Simonâs lips- though he was relatively quiet you could tell that he was enjoying himself. You only wished you had done this sooner.
As he looked around the room, Simon felt his heart flutter as laughter filled the air. Any nervousness he had felt before was gone, and Simon felt undeniably happy. He had everybody he loved and cared about, finally under one roof.

Rewound Infinitely
Gojo Satoru x Reader
Part one: Infinite Rewind
Synopsis: A decade later, Gojo has finally caught up with you. Weddings take a lot of planning.
Word Count: 8.6k
(Warnings: flashbacks to gore, not healthy trauma coping, thats all tho! pretty wholesome compared to last time)
Some things about him had changed within a decade, while others stayed the same.Â
Even taller than you last saw him. His hair has been styled, no longer ivory chaos. You can't see a single blemish or mark despite the decade of fighting curses. He's as flawless as the first day you met him. No glasses; the entirety of his blue keeps you still.
You've seen this Satoru before: Suguru's memories, with glassy eyes, ruffled ivory hair, and an empty expression. Seeing such beauty yourself when you're standing right in front of him, it's breathtaking.Â
Even the lights of Tokyo couldn't compare to him.Â
You say nothing. You can't. Your mouth is dry and pointless. You're not even sure where to even begin. In front of a God, your insecurities pile up all over again. Is he disappointed by you? How could you explain everything that you put him through? Your mouth opens, you think you're about to speak: an apology, a plea, anything-
"âYou're late!"Â
His hands reach up to squish your cheeks together. It was so unexpected, you squeak.Â
And Gojo Satoru is pouting.Â
It's a wave. The ocean of anxiety, guilt, and fear crashes into the shore. You feel nothing but indignant rage at the brat who clearly hadn't matured one damn bit.Â
"I'm not late!" You hiss back. "If anything, you're the one who's late. I wasâ"
You're cut off by his laugh, light and happy.Â
He isn't offended by your outburst; he's overjoyed about it. His cheeks are dabbed with pink, and his lips are so wide that he's showing his teeth. Your anger wanes when he pulls you into his chest, arms circling around you. You can smell his cologne when he buries his face into your hair.Â
"There you are. Finally." He melts into you like butter. "I missed you, Greeny."Â
His voice is soft, quiet, and sincere. You can't do anything but hug him back, allowing him to sink.
"I missed you, too." You whisper.
He hums. Apart from the wind, it's quiet. He's clinging onto you as though he's afraid once he lets go, you'll disappear forever. His behavior is justified. You were constantly meddling with his life before whisking away. Just this once, you allow him to keep you within his reach, letting the cat catch the canary.Â
"This is sweet 'n all. But we're actually getting late." He mutters. "Also, we gotta do something about your clothes."Â
"Hm?"Â
One moment, you're atop the Tokyo Skybridge; the next, you're standing in an upscale boutique.Â
Satoru skips away from you. Meanwhile, you're frozen, brain scrambling to catch up with what happened. Teleport. He can teleport now.
"Mr. Gojo, sir." A voice calls. An older woman smiles at him.Â
He gives her a casual wave before gesturing over to you. "Mind giving this one a dress? It's a black-tie event. We don't have a budget."Â
The woman turns to you with a smile. "Of course, sir."Â
What?
Dazed, you pliantly follow the woman into the back of the boutique. Her hold on you is gentle as she ushers you through the hall with one hand on either side of your shoulders. When you look back, Satoru is waving with a wide grin. The door shuts behind you.Â
"Do you have any preferences?"Â
You turn back to the woman. She's still smiling. You can't tell if it's genuine or customer service. Perhaps both.Â
Did Satoru not like what you're wearing? When you look down, it makes sense. Your time on the tower wasn't kind to your hair, not to mention your clothes. This morning, you'd just thrown on the first thing you saw.Â
This morning. That felt like centuries ago.Â
She's still waiting. You give a trepid smile.Â
"Anything," you say, "anything as long as it's cheap. I'm not exactly swimming in cash."Â
She gives a confused look. "Oh, but Mr. Gojo is paying, isn't he?"Â
Was he? You had no idea what was happening, much less what he had just said. She returns to her usual smile.Â
"If you have nothing in mind, let's see here..."Â
Some time later, your usual clothing was removed and replaced by something satin and long. It was a pretty dress that fell right to your feet. A set of women also flitted in and worked on your hair and face, putting everything back in your face so that you looked more human and less cryptid.Â
"What do you think?" She asks, looking at you through that mirror.Â
Pretty, you looked pretty. But when you looked closer, no amount of make-up could remove that look in your eyes.Â
When you step back out, Satoru is waiting with a tapping foot.Â
"Finally!" He exclaims, standing up. He doesn't acknowledge the dress, probably because he's seen himself in better. "Thanks, Hana. Okay, let's go."Â
"Go?" You prod. "Go where? Youâyou still haven't told me what you're even doingâ"Â
It's no use. He grabs your hand, instantly warping you away from the boutique.Â
You're outside. There's people everywhere. In the distance, you can see a crystal glass dome. The sun was still in the sky, which was strange because you remembered watching a sunset not too long ago, unless you weren't in Japan anymore. To prove it to yourself, you check your phone location. Yakima, Washington. What the fuck.
Was this some type of torture, him flitting you from continent to continent, all in a ploy to punish you for something? You give him a pleading look.Â
"Just tell me what's going onâ"Â
"Nuh-uh." He grins. "It's a surprise! Besides, you'll figure it out soon enough. Now, I gotta' go. Stay here, be good, and find the panda!"Â
And then he's gone.
You always knew he was insane, but this is ridiculous, even for him. To leave you in the middle of nowhere, that asshole. Â
There is no one you recognize in the crowd, but they are all walking towards the dome, so you meekly follow. What did he say? Find the panda? It had to be a metaphor of some kind, or perhaps there was a panda statue you needed to wait under.Â
And then you see a panda on two legs walking and talking with a group of teenagers.
Seriously, what else did you expect?Â
Feeling like you've just aged five years, you approach the group. Including the animal, there's five. They all look like 14-16 years old. You feel like you're in high school all over again when they glance over at you. The girl looks particularly unimpressed.Â
"Hi." You look at the panda. Maybe it's a really good costume because no one else looks shocked. "Satoru said I should find you...?"Â
One of them seems to get the code. The one with black hair and puppy eyes perks up.Â
"Ah! Are you 'Greeny'?" Did he tell everyone about that nickname? Didn't you tell him it was supposed to be a secret? Though, it doesn't really matter anymore.Â
"It's not my actual name." You say before introducing yourself.Â
He gives a nod. "Okkutso Yuta." He bows. What a polite kid. "This is my friend, Inumaki Toge."Â
The kid with half his face under his scarf gives a wave. You smile.Â
"Just Maki." The girl steps in before she gives you a once-over. "I like your dress."Â
"Oh, thank you!" You say happily, "I love yours as well!"Â
She looks away, but you have a feeling she has a hard time taking compliments.Â
"I'm Panda." The panda fucking says, and no, it isn't a costume, but you're too tired to ask at this point. "Nice to finally meet you."Â
When the final kid says nothing, Panda reaches over and wraps a furry hand around his shoulder.Â
"And this is Fushiguro Megumi! He's shy." Panda says cheerily. The boy flusters under his weight.Â
"Get off." Fushiguro gripes.Â
"Don't mind him." Maki rolls her eyes. "He's just throwing a tantrum because his sister couldn't make it, and he's gonna have to socialize with people instead of hiding behind her."Â
Fushiguro glares, but he doesn't respond to that. He just gives you a nod, and you decide these are good kids. At the very least, they're all way better than that brat Satoru.Â
"So, why are we waiting out here?" You ask, peering around.Â
"The doors haven't opened, yet," Okkutso kindly relays, "we're just waiting out here until everything is set up."Â
"If they're taking this long, then they should at least ask for help." Maki crosses her arms. "We've been waiting out here for at least thirty minutes."Â
"At least there's food." Panda tries to assuage.Â
"Salmon," says Inumaki.Â
"They're serving salmon out here?" You give him an incredulous look and he waves his arms around.Â
"Bonito flakes." Inumaki says. Okkutso tries to come to his rescue.Â
"Inumaki can't speak anything but food items because of his curse-" Maki quickly yanks him down by his collar frantically. Fushiguro is whispering something in his ear. You watch them go back and forth before it clicks.Â
"Does it have something to do with his technique?" You ask, curiously.Â
They stop squabbling.Â
"Oh, our bad. Sorry 'bout that." Panda gives a sheepish grin. "We didn't think you'd know about jujutsu sorcery 'cause...well. Your cursed energy is really low."Â
"Super low." Maki agrees.Â
"Salmon."Â
"Even lower than Maki's." That earns Panda a punch from her.Â
"Thank you," you dryly say, before you turn back to the building.Â
"What's going on in that place anyway?"Â
They all give you an odd look before they look at each other. Did you say something wrong?
"Did Gojo-sensei not tell you anything?" Okkotsu asks.Â
You allow yourself to leak some bitterness. "Satoru just dropped me on the sidewalk before teleporting away. He never tells me anything.
"That sounds like him." Panda nods.Â
"Idiot," Maki says.
"Such an idiot," Fushiguro says, and now you feel bad for Satoru.
"Our sensei's getting married today." Okkutso supplies. He points at the dome.Â
You don't get why you didn't realize it sooner. You knew these kids, at least Okkutso, Maki, Panda, and Inumaki. They all showed up on the very last day Geto Suguru died. Okkutso, in particular, had fought and defeated Suguru.Â
These were Gojo Satoru's students.Â
You think back to the last time you saw Satoru. He didn't look like a groom, but he's an eccentric guy. You wondered what kind of person would put up with him for the rest of their lives. You pitied them.Â
"Oh." You frown. "His wedding? IâI would have at least brought a gift."Â
"I don't think he'd mind," Panda said, "besides, you didn't even know!"Â
You still felt a bit guilty.Â
"We didn't bring anything either," Fushiguro states, and it helps just a tiny bit.Â
"When the ceremony begins, you can sit with us," Okkutso tells you, "we're supposed to keep an eye on you, anyway."Â
"You're not talking to a dog." Maki grunts.Â
"Oh no IâI didn't mean to be offensive!" Okkutso backtracks. "It's justâwell, Gojo-sensei's been talking about you for a while, and we want to make sure everything goes smoothly and we were all really excited to meet you soâ"Â
He keeps rambling like that until Inumaki pats his shoulder. You laugh, amused.Â
"I wasn't offended or anything." You tell him before his words sink in. "Wait, Satoru talks about me?"Â
"All the time." Maki responds, an edge to her voice. "'Greeny this', 'Greeny that'."Â
"We usually tune him out when he gets like that," Panda says, "honestly, we didn't even think you were real until just now."Â
"I always thought 'Greeny' was an inside joke Gojo-sensei and Haibara-sensei had," Okkotsu admits.Â
Something warm bubbles in your stomach.Â
"So," Fushiguro speaks, "how do you know Gojo, anyway?"Â
You didn't know the story Gojo told them so you simply keep it vague.Â
"I knew him as a kid."Â
It's Panda who gets the most excited about this.Â
"Really? What was he like as a teenager?"Â
"A brat." You instantly respond, and then you think a little more. "But I don't think that ever changed."Â
They ask you a couple more questions about Gojo's high school days. You oblige, thinking this as payback for how Satoru dropped you here without saying anything. You don't know how long you spend out there, airing out Gojo's younger days while his students get increasingly giggly.Â
Okkotsu is the one who notices the crowd is moving.Â
"I think they opened the doors." He smiles. "Let's go, everyone."Â
You follow behind Maki, admiring the architecture. It's a grand building. Sparkling crystal glass lets the sunlight bleed in. The decoration was something else entirely. Small white flowers adorn the chandelier, and they cascade down the edges. Ice sculptures of angels greeted the guests. Live music was already playing. Satoru knows how to plan a wedding.Â
Maki finds you all seats. You sit next to her. Fushiguro follows you. Okkutso, Inumaki, and Panda take the seats behind you. While you wait for the guests to settle down, you pass your time, waiting for the students to bicker with one another. From your assumption, it looked as though Maki, Panda, and occasionally Inumaki butted heads with each other. Okkutso often served as the timid referee, trying to get everyone to calm down, which almost always made things worse. Fushiguro just elected to ignore everything.Â
"Are they always like this?" You lean over to whisper to him. Fushiguro gives a tired nod.Â
"Every. Single. Day." He's saying this from experience, but at least you get a show.Â
Everyone settles down eventually. The kids grow quiet when the music starts to swell. The indoor lights dim. It's starting.Â
You've never been to a wedding this grand before. There was a live orchestra. Women and men were dressed in baby blue, gently strumming away their cellos, violins, and violas.Â
It's how you miss Satoru's entrance. He's already standing on the altar by the time you look back. He's changed into something more formal. The suit and green tie fit him. A perfectly put-together beauty. As though he can sense your stare, he catches your eye and winks.Â
But why was he already up there? Shouldn't he beâ
"Sensei's coming!" Okkotsu whisper-yells. Inumaki hushes him.
Everyone turns to face the door. You do, too.Â
Your heart stops when you see him.Â
It's all there. Black hair, but it's longer this time around. Of course it is, he's had years to grow it out. He's tall, he must've grown since highschool.Â
You don't think you're breathing when you watch him walk down the aisle. The music is low, barely loud enough to hide the click of his heels. He takes his rightful place beside Satoru, his best man. Satoru gives him a nudge, and Suguru shakes his head fondly.Â
Everyone turns to see Shoko's entrance. You should too, but you keep staring at him. How much he's changed since high school. How much he's changed since he waltzed onstage wearing a priest's outfit, filled with nothing but empty hatred for those he viewed as weak.Â
But he's not wearing that twisted monk costume. His eyes aren't dull and dead and bitter. There's no sickly faux smile on his lips.
Today, Suguru looks like the happiest man on Earth.Â
His eyes are wide and eager and sparkling purple beauties. He's 27, but he looks younger. The lines of exhaustion and heartbreak aren't so prominent. And youâand youâ
You just sit there, watching as Shoko walks up to the altar, watching as they stand as bride and groom. His daughters, adorned in pretty blue dresses, stand right behind him, smiling so hard you're sure it hurts. The priest speaks. They say their vows. You can't hear a single word. It's like you're behind a glass wall, and you can see him, but you can't feel him.Â
When they kiss, everything comes back. The crowd celebrates. Satoru ruffles Himeno's hair. Nanako smiles wider. Behind you, Inumaki and Panda sniffles. Okkotsu hands them a tissue.Â
"Itâs pretty." Maki comments. Fushiguro gives a hum of agreement.Â
â´ľ
Satoru finds you and the kids when you're waiting for the reception to start.Â
He appears behind you with a cheery, "And how are my lovely students holding up?" You almost spill your drink in shock.
"Sensei!" Okkotsu chirps. "Where's Geto-sensei and Ieiri-sensei?"Â
"Shoko's around; Suguru's taking a break," Gojo answers with a grin. "If you don't mind me, I'll be stealing this one for a sec."Â
He doesn't wait for an answer, steering you away by your shoulders. You look behind you. Panda waves. Fushiguro just looks even more upset. You wave back at them regardless.Â
"I can't believe you put your students out on babysitting duty." You tell him. "And what's with this wedding? There's no alcohol anywhere." To make your point, you take another sip of your apple juice.Â
"We have kids here. Kinda' have to make it alcohol-free," Satoru says.Â
"The bartender could ID them." You suggest.Â
"You think teens who fight curses daily wouldn't figure out how to get around that?" He grins. You frown at his frustratingly good response.Â
âWhatâd you think of them?â
âHm?â
âThe kids.â He urges. âWhatâd you think?â
Your brows scrunch. You have no idea what he means by that. Eventually, you take a breath.
âI like how...close they are.â You eventually say. âThe bond they share. They care. I think each one of them will be good sorcerers.â
Heâs silent, and you think you might have misunderstood his question.
âI learned that from you,â Satoru says, âkeeping them together, making sure they can grow, get stronger, together. You were always so insistent on that, back then. Iâm glad you were. It was one of the best things about you.â
You stare at him. Really stare. Youâve never heard him sound so genuine, so sincere before. You look into his crystal-blue eyes, wide and earnest. Part of you wants to take a picture, so you could keep it forever.
Eventually, Gojo successfully drags you to a less crowded area of the party. He looks around.Â
"Hm, he should be around here somewhere...?" Satoru hums to himself.Â
"Who?" You ask. That question answers itself.Â
Haibara Yu is waiting a little ways ahead. By now, the sun was starting to set. His brown hair turned gold. Gojo eagerly hurries you forward as he calls out to him. You stumble, still lost at what you're seeing.Â
"Guess who I brought?" Gojo sweetly sings, Yu-Haibara, he hasn't let you call him Yu yet-tilts his head.
He smiles, confused. "Oh? Hello!" He says cheerily. "Who's this?" He asks to Gojo.Â
"Guess," Gojo says.Â
Haibara stares at you, and you decide to give him a hint.Â
"Brocolli head?"Â
He gapes. It's almost the same reaction he had last time. Last time, when you had to convince him to kill you so you could go back in time to save Satoru. Â
"No way." He gasps. "Greeny?"
He doesn't remember. He wouldn't, why would he? Still, it's nice to see the innocence on his face, rather than the pain you saw last time. Right before he snapped your neck.Â
You think he was crying the last time you two saw each other.Â
In this timeline, Haibara is hugging you so tightly you think your head's about to explode.Â
"It's really you?" Haibara says, but his bear hug muffles his words. "ââIâI canât believe it? Itâs actually you! I thought Iâd never see you again even though Satoru said we'd see you again one day, andâand then suddenly you pop up outtaâ nowhereânot that Iâm complainingâ butââ
"Haibara." You plead. "You're suffocating me."Â
"Oh! Oh, I'm so sorry." He lets you go, and your lungs inflate again. "IâI'm just so happy! Andâand you're a girl!" He says it like it's the most surprising thing about this whole revelation. Maybe it is.Â
Satoru is always needy for attention and whines as always.Â
"Wait, you two came up with a code word?" He complains. "That's not fair. We never did that."Â
"I mean, it was Haibara's idea." You point out. "You should be smarter next time."Â
That makes him frown even more. You laugh.Â
"Yu." Haibara suddenly says.Â
You turn to him.Â
"My friends call me Yu."Â
It's nice to know that no matter what timeline you're in, Yu will always remain stagnant.Â
"Okay, lover boy," Gojo says with a not-so playful bite, "keep your eye on this one for me, okay? Gotta' go do more best man shit."Â
Satoru's gone once again. You look at Yu.Â
"He's been running around since I got here." You tell him. "Does that man ever rest?"Â
"Nope." Haibara grins, before taking your arm. "Follow me; you should meet a couple of people."Â
He leads you through the crowd. You spot the teens moping about out of the corner of your eye. Panda and Inumaki seem to be in a push-up competition. Maki is egging them on. You wisely decide not to disturb them.
Yu drops your hand to wave to someone. There's no need for any kind of introduction for these people.Â
Riko and Misato Kuroi smile at you first. Miss Kuroi's aged beautifully since you last saw her. Wispy silver hair knitted seamlessly into brown strands. She never got that chance to grow gray hairs last time. You're staring so much it might be rude.Â
"Yu?" Riko asks and you think you're about to break because they know each other. "Who's this?"Â
"Uh, this-" Haibara chokes before looking at your awkwardly. Right, he doesn't know your actual name.Â
Come to think of it, Satoru doesn't know either. He never bothered to ask too. Probably on purpose. Ass.Â
You smile and politely introduce yourself. It takes everything within you not to scream and hug them both because in this timeline, they don't know you. They never did.Â
But you can change that now.Â
"Hello!" Riko beams. "I'm Kuroi Riko, but just Riko is fine! And this is my mom: Kuroi Misato."Â
She says that so plainly, like that had always been her name, like Miss Kuroi had always been her mother. You wonder how long it took for those two realities to become her norm. Or maybe it hardly took time at all.Â
"It's wonderful to meet you." Miss Kuroi states before she tilts her head. "May I ask how you know the couple?"Â
Haibara jumps in for you. "Umâactually, this is Satoru's date!" He fumbles.Â
You do a double-take. No, you technically weren't Satoru's date. But you technically entered the wedding with him. And he was the one who 'invited' you. Fuck, you were the brat's date. Damn it.Â
"Ah." Nanami cuts in for the first time. "So, you're the one Gojo won't shut up about."Â
His accusation sounds like Maki's, but less harsh. You wonder if he has a favorite student.Â
Nanami looks the most different from his high school counterpart. A new haircut, less slouchy, more tall and refined. He blinks at you, slow and calculating.Â
Sheepishly, you laugh. "Yeah...that's me....sorry."Â
"Don't be rude, Kento."Â
Ieiri arrives with a soft smile and painted features. She's changed out of her glowing gown, sticking to something small yet perfectly elegant: a short white dress that curls ever so slightly at the ends. Riko's the first to hug her, ecstatic. Ieiri hugs her back, too, because they've become friends in this timeline. The circles under her eyes are less prominent. Her smile looks more real. This isn't the timeline where she's had to bury her friend; it's the timeline she's allowed to marry him.Â
"Congratulations," you say politely once everyone is done cooing over her. She smiles at you, the way a stranger would.Â
Then, her head tilts.Â
"Sorry," she hesitates, "do we know each other? You...feel familiar somehow."Â
Ieiri was the first person you met when you activated your technique and returned to the past for the first time. She was the one who calmed you down, kept you grounded. In a way, you owed a lot to her.Â
Looking at her, you can see why Suguru kept her cigarettes in his pocket.Â
You shrug. "I must have one of those faces."Â
The attention turns back to her, her beautiful dress, pure and white and beautiful. You feel Haibara stare at you. You shake your head at him. It wasn't the time. Maybe it never will be.Â
"This really is a beautiful wedding," Mistato says when the conversation reaches a pleasant lull, "I can't imagine how much it cost."Â
She shrugged.Â
"Probably a fortune, but I let Satoru deal with the numbers."Â
Misato looks confused, and Ieiri laughs.Â
"He paid for everything." She gestures to the venue. "Suguru and I didn't have to fork over a single cent. It's the least he could do for being a pain in the ass for 12 years."Â
Damn, you knew he was rich, but you didn't know he was rich rich. Maybe you should consider being nicer to him. If you ask politely, perhaps you could get him to pay off your car loans.Â
"I'll get him to pay for my wedding too." Riko proudly says.Â
"He'd probably do it, too." Ieiri nodded along. "He offered, just like that. The only thing he was hellbent on was the date."Â
"The date?" You echo. Ieiri shrugs, messing with her laced sleeves.Â
"Said it absolutely needed to be on December 24th. Something about spirituality. I never listened to that guy's rants."Â
It comes to you immediately, but you're pushing it away. No way. Satoru wouldn't. There isn't a chance in Hell he would have convinced his friends to have the biggest day of their lives on the same day you were supposed to meet him.Â
No, of course, he would do that. Ass.Â
"So, how do you know Satoru?" Riko asks you. When she realized how rude it sounded, she backtracked. "IâI didn't mean anything by it! It's just...the guy only knows five people. When he spoke about bringing someone along, I thought he was joking."Â
"Same here," Nanami says. Haibara stifles a laugh, and you realize all of Satoru's friends think he's a loser.Â
Friends. Back then, he only had one of those.Â
"Um." You toss Haibara look. He shrugs. "We met a few years ago! But we just recently reconnected." That's close enough to the truth. Good enough.Â
You remember your blunder. You sympathetically look at Shoko.Â
"I'm so sorry I wasn't able to bring a gift," you say, "I was blindsided. Satoru barely gave me enough time to get ready."Â
You laugh, and you're hoping they laugh it off too. They don't, instead Shoko, Nanami, Riko, and Misato look at you. Then, they look at each other.Â
Nanami speaks first. He clears his throat.
"Did Satoru....abduct you?"Â
"What?"Â
"That sounds like him." Misato sighs, more exasperated than anything else.
Riko nods along with her. "We tried to teach him. Where did we go wrong?" she laments.Â
Haibara and Shoko laugh as you desperately try to defend your not-date date because he didn't actually kidnap you, but he did bring you here against your will and started dragging you along like some toy, but it's the context about that that matters. You wished they could've had a bit more faith in him. Poor Satoru.Â
It ends eventually. Ieiri excuses herself. Riko and Misato go too. You stay with Yu and Nanami, watching as they get into increasingly petty arguments. Itâs hilarious how quickly Yu is able to bring the usually staunch and serious Nanami down to his level.
Sometime later, you find yourself roaming the balcony. The party roars on indoors, laughing, talking, cheering. It was chilly outside, you should go back in within a few minutes. You just needed a break from the action.
The sun had already gone down, by then. You were somewhere out in the country. The buildings sparsely dotted the horizon. There were no artificial lights. It meant the stars could shine as brightly as they wanted to, with no one to stop them.
You hadnât seen Satoru in a while. You had no idea where heâd run off to. It didnât matter; you knew heâd eventually pop out of a box to harass you again.
But now that you had space for yourself, you needed to think.
You rest your hands over the rail, looking up at the stars. There were so many out tonight.
You fixed the future. You changed everything. Does that mean you still needed to tell Satoru about the past timeline?
You promised him answers the next time you two met. You promised him an explanation. He waited ten years for that. You pinch at the fabric of the dress.
This future that you carefully built, crafted with your own hands. Itâs delicate, a glass castle.
Itâs justice, but did that make it right?
âWant one?â
The voice makes you jump.
He stares at you, leaning against the rail. Purple eyes, mirroring the starry sky.
You knew these eyes, for a while, they used to be yours.
You stare at him. Then, you stare at the cigarette in his inviting fingers.
Your fingers twitch.
âNoâno, Iâm fine.â You smile. âActually, Iâm trying to quit.â
âAh.â Suguru says, lighting it up before bringing it to his lips. âShouldnât tempt you, then. Pardon, whatâs your name?â
You can hear your heartbeat. Itâs loud, right in your ear. You wonder if he can hear it too. Are his curses around? Can they smell it? Your blood? Are they still as ravenous as the last time, eager to tear and fester and eatâ
âItâs Greeny,â you say, âyou can call me Greeny. â
He hums in approval.
âGeto Suguru,â he says, âthough Iâm pretty sure you already know that.â You both share a huff of laughter.
âMy fiancĂŠ quit a few years ago.â Suguru starts, mentioning the cherry-red cigarette. âThought Iâd follow in her footsteps, but here I am.â He shrugs before he winces.
âWife, sorry.â He corrects. âI still canât believe it.â
The monsters come out to play their song. You close your eyes, forgive Suguru, and you die once more.
You smile at his tone. He sounded like that 12 years ago, when he was still just a kid. Full of soft wonder.
âIâm guessing youâve been planning this for a long time?â You ask.
He shrugs. âShoko did most of the work. This is all thanks to her, really. Unfortunately, I was too busy managing the school.â
âI heard you were a principal?â You prod.
Suguru nods, âOur current one recently retired. Iâm trying to follow in his footsteps.â
You think of Principal Yaga, the one with sunglasses and a stern expression. He looks a lot like Nanami in some areas. But he acts more like Suguru than anyone you ever knew.
And you knew Suguru; you knew him as well as yourself.
The screams start up again, and you forgive Suguru.Â
âI can tell youâre already making him proud,â you say, âI met your students. Theyâre good kids.â
He smiles, soft, gentle. Those used to be your smiles.
âThey are, arenât they?â He repeats back, âsome of them had a rough beginning, but it all worked out somehow.â He hums. âIâm glad.â
His daughters, the ones standing beside him as he kissed his wife, wide eyes and even wider grins. They didnât have the darkness in their faces. The bitterness. Like they did in the last timeline.
You were glad, too.
This death is a lot more painful than the others.Â
The curse that's holding you is more intelligent than its predecessors. It keeps you alive, tearing at your skin, feasting on your flesh. Blood is everywhere. You scream until it rips out your vocal cords. It's almost a mercy to just die.Â
You forgive Suguru.
âIt sounds like youâve had personal experience with that sort of thing.â When he looks at you, you quickly say. âYour eyes. IâI can see it. Iâve always been good at that sort of thing.â You knew Suguru. His eyes matched yours.
He doesnât look offended. Suguru takes a minute, reaching up to his black locks. He removes the elastic, pretty black hair falls down his shoulders Heâs grown it out since high school. It reaches his waist.
He eases himself back onto the rail, looking up at the stars. You follow.
âYeah, I do,â heâs saying, âI think I know what itâs like being them at that age. Alone, isolated, slipping down a rock. Drowning, but no one can see it.â Ingested. Exorcised. Ingested. Exorcised.
âWhen I was younger...it was really hard. Some days, I was so full of hate and anger. The pain was a lot. Sometimes, I had this despicable idea that it was someone elseâs fault I was like this. Someone innocent.â He laughs, bitter.
âAnd, on those days, I would often feel something.â
You look at him. Suguru doesnât stare back, eyes lost in the stars.
âSometimes, itâd be a voice. Other times a small nudge on my shoulders, pushing me in the right direction. Once, it was a hug, keeping me from doing something that wouldâve changed my life forever. And it would be just a bit more bearable, like I wasnât so alone.â
You can feel your heart in your throat. Your fingers grip the railing.
âWhat did you think it was?â You expect hate, disgust. You want to give yourself a reason.
You forgive Suguru.
He takes a moment, coming back from heaven. His eyes find yours.
âIâm not sure.â He admits. âIâm not religious, but I always liked to think of it asââ
An angel. A hand of God. A higher power. It doesnât matter what Suguru said, you knew what he meant.
A part of you always wondered why Suguru would return to Jujutsu society, when he wanted nothing more than to run from it. You expected him to retire. Instead, he took the reins of the beast, wrangling it down. Now, you get why.
âThatâs why youâre a teacher now,â you say, âso you could be the same thing for your students.â
He nods, and you think of Maki. You think of Okkutso. You think of Panda. You think of Fushiguro. You think of Inumaki. Suguru must have been there for Maki, even when her own family wasnât. Suguru must have helped Okkutso control his technique, being the only one who could. Suguru, must have made these kids better than they ever possibly couldâve been. Fighting for them instead of against them.
âSorry.â He blinks. âIâI didnât mean to get so sentimental. Itâs been years since I thought about my own highschool years.â He laughs, voice full.
âYouâre just...really nice to talk to.â He hums. âI donât think I can explain it but itâs...familiar somehow.â
You look at him. Heâs older, but in some ways, he hasnât really changed. Even now, when you look at him, you see a reflection of yourself.
âI can see why he likes you.â
âWho?â You ask when he brings you back from your thoughts.
âThe idiot.â But he says it so affectionately, so lovingly, you canât help but smile. âI saw him dragging you around earlier. Sorry about that. I wouldâve stepped in but...â He trails off, thinking.
âItâs been a while since I saw him like that.â
You hadnât noticed anything about Satoru. He smiled just as brightly as he did in highschool. Now, you wonder if this was the first time in a while Suguru had seen that side of him: carefree, no longer The Strongest.
It hurts. It hurts so much. Blood seeps into the pavement. You can hear the curse laughing. It sounds like him.
You forgive Suguru.Â
âAre you and himâŚâ he trails off.
âNo.â You laugh. âNo, Iâm hisâŚ.childhood friend. We just havenât seen each other in a while.â
âOh?â He tilts his head. âHow long has it been?â
You decide to be honest. âTen or so years, give or take?â
He whistles.
âNo wonder heâs bouncing around like a yipping puppy,â He says, and you canât help but agree with the analogy.
âIn any case.â He leans over the railing. His cigarette is down to its last embers. âI hope you stick around. A friendâŚI think he needs more of those more than anything.â
You stare at him. Those purple eyes. You can see what Shoko sees. You can see what Satoru saw all those timelines ago. They only ever saw the light, the gentleness, of Geto Suguru.
You are the only person in the world who knows him.
Heâs killed people. Heâs killed you. No matter how much logic or justification or pain was involved, the blood of the innocent is still sticky. It still drips across the pavement, scarring the sidewalk in red. It still hurts.
When Suguru would kill you, youâd force yourself to forgive him. You needed to die without regrets, because the pain of hatred builds up, youâve seen it happen firsthand.
But now that youâre free, what Suguru did to you wasn't fair. Just because his innocence was taken away doesnât give him the right to take the lives of others. It never gives anyone the right to murder. You keep telling yourself that this Suguru and that Suguru were differentâŚbut they werenât. Not really. The look in their eyes matched perfectly.
Heâd do it again, in the right conditions.
And yet.
You forgive Suguru.
You canât judge him. If there is a God, maybe Suguru will have to pay for the crimes he committed all those timelines ago. You canât save Suguru from that. But to you, the debt is paid.
Besides, youâre too tired to hate him. And you wonât allow yourself to fall into the same cycle he struggled to break free from.
You look into his eyes. Then, at his ring. You smile.Â
And that's enough.
âI will,â you say, âI will.â
Then, as two parts of a whole, the two of you stare at the stars for a little while longer.
â´ľ
The reception was nice. A fancy dinner, you canât remember the last time you ate something. The speeches were beautiful, especially Shokoâs. You swore you saw Nanami shed a tear, but you never said anything about it.
You saw a glimpse of white hair in the crowd before the first dance began. Stunning music. The couple must have practiced for months. Bride and Groom, husband and wife, held hands and looked at each other like they were the only ones in the room.
Megumi stood beside you, watching Ieiri and Geto sway to the music. As though the kid could sense him, Megumiâs serene face sours. Youâre about to ask him whatâs wrong when thereâs a tap on your shoulder.
âCute, huh?â Satoru starts, mentioning at the dance. âIt didnât look this put-together in the beginning. Shoko gave him a ton of bruises,â he says with a shit-eating grin.
You frown. âShouldnât you be doing something else than gossiping about your friends?â
âI am! Iâm checking up on my son!â And then he turns to Fushiguru. âMegumi!â
âNo.â Fushiguro instantly rebukes.
âDonât mind him.â Satoru chides. âHeâs going through an angst phase.â Fushiguro rolls his eyes, but he shifts just a tiny bit.
âYâknow, he was actually supposed to be the flower boy, but he refused. Such a shame, the pictures wouldâve been something else.â Gojo sighed and now youâre convinced they arenât father and son.
âThat was never going to happen.â Fushiguro says, and as if he thinks youâre naive enough to believe Satoru, he glances at you. âNever.â
âOf course not.â You crack a smile.
You watch as Ieiri descends into a graceful spin, Geto taking the lead. When he tips her over, your eyes soften.
Gojo leans over; you can feel his breath in your ear.
âNext year.â He whispers. âFor us, itâll definetly be next year.â
You jerk away but heâs already skipping off, having the audacity to call out a cheerful âtoodlesâ.
âWhat did he say?â Fushiguro questions.
Thatâs what you wanted to know, too, but you were so tired, and the night was so long, and you couldnât bother to get out your Gojo translator and figure it out.
âThe same stuff he always says. Nonsense.â You decide on. Fushiguro takes the answer.
âI donât understand how he has all that energy.â You mutter, watching Satoru disappear through the crowd.
âI thought heâd get better with age, turns out I was wrong,â Fushiguro says.
âI wanted to ask,â you start, your eyes still on Ieiri and Geto, âhow do you know Gojo? Arenât you still in middle school?â
âEveryone knows Gojo. Heâs pretty famous in the jujutsu world.â Fushiguro shrugs. âBut personally...heâs my benefactor. Took me and my sister in when my parents left.â
You look at him. And you feel like an idiot.
Heâs the spitting image of his father. Sharp cobalt eyes. Black hair. Fushiguro Toji is all over the young man.
Gojo Satoru, the one who killed the sorcerer killer, took care of his enemyâs children.
âWhat?â Fushiguro asks when youâre smiling
You shake your head. âNo, no itâs nothing.â
Satoru told you that youâre the one who taught him about the importance of bonds. But you think he should take some of the credit too.
â´ľ
Eventually, everyone gets on the dancefloor.
Itâs a mess. Absolute chaos. Panda and Inumaki are trying and failing to do the waltz. Maki and Okkuttso are lightly swaying to the music. Theyâve managed to get Fushiguro up there too. Though, he doesnât look extremely happy.
The adults are even worse. Apparently, the retired principal Yaga is a pretty good dancer. You think one of them found alcohol, because Haibara looks absolutely wasted. Heâs swinging his arms around, almost hitting the other guests. Nanami is trying to get his attention, but the guy wants none of it. When Haibara catches your eye, he wildly waves in clear invitation.
You smile back, but you shake your head. You think heâs about to come up to you, but something else catches his eye, and heâs grinning at a very irrated-looking Iori.
You were sitting on a chair, just people-watching. It was a nice break from everything. To listen to the music, lightly tap your feet, play with the frill of your dress. You werenât really in the mood to dance.
Besides, you werenât technically invited here anyway. Itâd be rude to just burst on the scene.
âThere you are! Been looking all over for you!â
You donât have to look over to see who it is. Satoru slumps down in a chair next to you.
âGreeny, you gottaâ do something about your cursed energy. Itâs so weak. Like finding a needle in a haystack.â
âThanks,â you say dryly.
âAlways happy to help.â Satoru beams, and then he glances over at the floor.
âWeâre dancing after this song, by the way.â
âAbsolutely not.â
âItâs so cute you think you have a choice, Greeny.â
You frown. âThereâs no point in calling me Greeny anymore. Unless you still donât know my name.â
âI do, but it doesnât matter,â Satoru says arrogantly. âYouâll always be my Greeny to me.â
You roll your eyes. Even now, heâs a brat. You thought all these years would mellow him down just a tiny bit.
âSo,â you start, âare you done with your âbest man shitâ?â
âYup.â He announces. âNow, I can sit back and enjoy the show.â
You smile, but you can still feel the butterflies in your stomach. Heâs been running around so far and itâs given you time. Now, that heâs free, it means you two have to talk.
And you arenât sure if you truly want to.
You flex your fingers.
âUm, how have youââ
âStop.â Satoru interrupts. âLetâs not make this awful, Greeny.â
You nod immediately, relaxing. His voice gets softer, after that.
âIâm glad you chose that color,â he says, âI was sortaâ hoping you would.â
You look down at the dress. A deep green. You hadnât even thought about the color, the boutique lady had basically thrown it at you.
The shade of Satoruâs green tie matches your dress. You can feel your smile again. Typical.
âIâm glad I did too,â you honestly say. And then, you continue to fiddle with your fingers. Ultimately, you decide to just bite the bullet.
âI thought youâd be mad.â You finally say, words jittery and unfocused. âAngry at me for...for what I did.â
Heâs silent, and you feared that it was all true. The laughs and the jabs were all a facade.
"I donât think I was ever mad." He responds, staring into the crowd. "Hurt, yeah. Then, it faded into something that stung everytime I thought about it, and then...something else. And now, I know it's a waste to get mad because you're finally here now. With me."Â
His tone pitches upwards as he reaches over to painfully pinch your cheek.Â
"'Sides, I know you can't escape me anymore, Greeny," Satoru cheerfully says, "Now, I know your face, your name, and with little effort, I could probably find your address, your social security-"Â
"Okay! Okay!" You pull away, rubbing your cheek. Damn, he's scary. "Threat acknowledged."Â
"Good!"Â He straightens himself back up, and you find yourself slumping again.
âI am sorry, though,â you say, âfor leaving like that. I...I always wished I could do that a bit differently. You deserved better.â
âDonât do that.â He shakes his head. âDonât blame yourself for only doing what you could. It eats at you, Greeny. It really does.â He sighs, leaning forward in his chair.
âYou deserved better too,â he says back, voice barely above the music, âI always had some regrets about those years. I thought I couldâve done more to help you, back then.â
There it was again: selfishness, the urge to do good to others while retaining that greed. You supposed you taught him that.
You put your face in your hands.
âEven though, you dragged me here against my will, I feel so guilty being here.â You complain, hoping itâll lighten the mood. âYou should apologize to everyone because I crashed the party.â
Satoru scoffs. âWhat are you talking about? Everyone loves you!â He exclaims. âLook, Yuâs ecstatic. Riko wonât stop gushing about you; you even have Nanamiâs approval! I donât even have that!â You roll your eyes, sinking back in your seat.
âBesides, you needed to come. You needed to see it.â
âSee what?â You ask.
âThis.â He points to the venue, the ballroom full of glittery whites and sparkles.
âLook around, Greeny. Look at all the people you saved.â
Haibara and Riko are dancing together. Two dead children finally had the chance to grow up. Misato speaks to Nanami. Beautiful gray hair, eyes that arenât so tired. Shoko sparkling in her dress, and Getoâ
The same day he was supposed to die, Suguru was getting married.
âThank you.â When you look at him, Satoru is staring right at you. His sea eyes give everything and more.
âThank you for saving all of us.â
Your heart skips, then just stops completely. You canât cry, you wonât not here, not on such a happy day. But your eyes are stinging. And Satoru is turning blurry.
And then, like Satoru always does, he ruins the moment.
"Did you just fall for me a little?"
His head tilts. That same mischievous, irritating smile lights up on his face.
You relax, laughing out of disbelief. When you speak, your voice is barely scratchy. "You're so full of yourself; it's actually a little cute."Â
"You think I'm cute?"Â
"Did you hear anything else that I just said?"Â
"I heard you think I'm cute,â Satoru responds proudly, and you doubt heâd ever let you hear the end of it.
âAnd besides! Today is supposed to be a celebration for you too!â He exclaims.
âOh really?â
âYes,â Satoru says proudly, âyou did it! You became a fully-fledged sorcerer. Considering your low CE, you might pass as grade four, but when I talk to our new principal, Iâm sure heâll make things right. Get ready to join be and him in the big leagues.â
You could read between the lines. Satoru wanted to tell everyone. You think a while ago, you might have agreed, but...
âCan...Can I quit being a sorcerer?â You ask. âIâm tired.â
He takes a second. Some of you wonders if heâll try to talk you out of this. Itâs more beneficial for him if you stay as an asset to the jujutsu world. How many peopleâs lives will be saved by a technique like yours? To be able to go back in time again and again and again. To die again and again and again.
âSomeone once told me that itâs okay to be selfish every once in a while.â Satoru looks at you, eyes like lilies once again. âI wonât fault you for it. I donât think anyone will.â
When you try to smile, it feels wobbly.
âThat person sounds smart.â
âNah.â He grins. âAn idiot, actually. Way too oblivious.â
You laugh, despite the insult.
âQuit,â Satoru says when itâs quiet again, âdo whatever you want. But...you canât run away, okay? I wonât let you.â
Itâs barely a touch. His hand reaches for your fingers. Youâre the one who grabs it.
âI wonât.â You promise. âI wonât.â
Heâs satisfied with that. You can tell when he squeezes your hand back.
You look at him, and you decide you won't tell Satoru what happened in the last timeline.
There's no point. It wouldn't do anything but shatter everything he worked so hard to make. Why would you break the glass when you could just add concrete, make it stronger? You saved everyone. A few white lies here and there just keep this future safe.
And you know this Satoru. If you told him, he'd carry that burden with you like the soldier he was. You don't want him to do that. You don't want him to have the same look you see in your own face. One last sacrifice.
When you come back, Satoru is shifting in his seat, uncrossing his legs.
âSo...about that dance?â
âUgh, fine.â You stand up. âOne dance. And if you do anything embarrassing, Iâm leaving.â
âClearly, you donât know me as well as you think you do.â He grins, standing up himself.
He doesnât release your hand for the rest of the night.
You donât mind.
(When you disappear again, Makiâs the one who finds you.
By then, itâd been long into the night. Shoko and Suguru were already gone, off to their honeymoon in the Maldives. Riko, Misato, and most of the students were sleeping off the night. Maki, his most diligent student, was helping the remaining adults pack up the venue.
Sheâs dragging chairs away when she grunts in Satoruâ direction.
âBy the way, your dateâs sleeping outside.â
Ah, you were on the balcony. No wonder he couldnât find you. Satoru needed to do something about your cursed energy. Whatâs the point of having six eyes when he canât even find the one person whoâs evaded him for a decade?
Youâve completely passed out. Slumped over on a chair, head bent at an angle that could not be comfortable. Satoru knows he should feel bad. He dragged you around the entire night like a ragdoll. This was partially his fault.
He canât really blame himself, not when you were finally here.
It still feels like a dream. Being able to hear your voice, not Suguruâs, not Yuâs. Your touch. Your eyes. Your face. Your laugh. For years, heâs wondered what it sounded like.
Reality beat even his perfect daydreams.
Seeing you up there on the Tokyo Skytree. The wind pushing your hair back and forth. It was breathtaking.
Even the lights of Tokyo, couldnât compare to you.
He leans down, lips at your ear, voice low because heâs too prideful to let anyone else hear, not even you.
âI know itâs too late, but you looked really pretty tonight.â
You say nothing, but you shift, murmur something in your sleep. Itâs all he needs.
He ditches the clean up party, taking you within his arms. He thinks he says something to Yu, but Satoru doesnât really care if he heard. Right now, he only has one priority.
Tonight, heâll sleep on the hotelâs pull-out sofa while you snooze in the luxurious queen-sized bed. Youâll probably be mad in the morning, something about how you shouldâve taken the couch, but he doesnât mind your mindless acts of selflessness.
Heâs waited a decade. He deserves to keep you.
And he knows you wonât fault him for being selfish one more time.)

LITTLE BLACK DRESS - LN4
halloween special
summary : loosely based on little black dress by 1Dđ happy halloween my horny bffs
listen up : kissing, yelling⌠him being horny. lando x fewtrell!reader
word count : 1655
â・â§Ëâ
She's always been beautiful. Sheâs the sort of pretty that when she walks into the room, everyoneâs head turns toward her.
Today though⌠shit. She looks straight up sexy.
Max punches me in the arm, realizing I'm not paying attention to whatever heâs saying. But I canât stop looking at her, long legs and a tiny black dress is all I can see.
As she gets closer, her hair bouncing with every step, I realize that itâs the type of hunger that will only be satisfied by my lips on hers.
There is one slight issue, though. âSis!â Max grins, messing up her hair as she pushes him away, âNice costume. You get it half off?â
âŕźş
you
âYou're so turning into our dad!â I roll my eyes at Max as he laughs and whips his arm around me, pulling me into a forgiving half hug. He's the mad hatter, cute since I saw Pierta in her Alice costume a few minutes ago.
I scrunch my face up before looking up at Lando. God⌠Lando. His eyes are practically setting me on fire, looking up and down my body. He's a skeleton.
Looking ridiculous hot in all black, his costume is made by the makeup on his face. An illusion of bones with black and white.
âHi, Lando. Happy Halloweenâ I say sweetly as he brings his cup to his painted lips.
âLookin good, Y/n.â He gives me a slight smirk and I can feel Maxâs annoyance before he starts complaining.
âLando. No!â Max says as if heâs some sort of dog.
âI didnât do anything!â He puts his hands up in defense before looking at me, âWant a drink?â I flash him a smile, fangs and all. He raises a brow at my favorite bit of my costume.
A vampire is not basic, Itâs classic!
âShe wants nothing from your grubby hands!â Max says immediately, his mad hatter hat tilting on his curls.
âGrubby!?â Lando scoffs as I laugh, but I see my friend in the crowd and squeal, leaving them both.
âŕźş
lando
How weird would it be if I said I want her to bite me? Fuck, it sounds weird doesnât it? I donât care. Sheâs been dancing with P for the past thirty minutes, downing at least two drinks and moving her ass in a way that should be illegal.
Thereâs fake blood on her chest and mouth. A mouth I'm desperate to kiss.
Iâve known her forever, and I would never admit it to Max⌠but I've always had a bit of a thing for her. How do you tell your protective best friend that youâre hot for his younger sister?
The answer is that you donât.
But this feels different. Weâre older, weâre both hotter, and I swear I saw her checking me out.
Max has disappeared and thereâs a girl by my side in an instant. I take one look at her, get disappointed that sheâs not Y/n, and leave.
I spot her at the bar.
I tug on her hair and she lets out a little scream before she turns and sees me. Her mouth contorts into a mischievous smirk, her nose scrunching. âTwo vodka shots.â I nod at the bartender, standing close to her. âI like your costume.â
She looks bored, âThink I look hot?â When she turns to get my reaction I just tilt my head a bit, biting back a smile. She knows I do.
âWell I think yours is a bit underwhelming.â She sighs as I scoff.
âHey- P spent an hour on this!â she giggles, âWhat would you rather me be?â
She thinks for a moment as the bartender slides us the shots, âHmm⌠a driver?â Her body shifts towards me, holding up the vodka and smiling innocently.
âVery funny.â I take my own shot, tapping the table and downing it without breaking eye contact.
âYou here alone?â
She leans against the bar, âNope⌠my friends are here somewhere.â She breaks eye contact, surveying the packed crowd.
I lean in closer, âI mean did you come here with a guy?â
She narrows her eyes at me, âNo.â
I canât help but smile, teasing her is my favorite activity. âYou open to leaving with one?â
She blinks, biting her bottom lip, âLandoâŚâ I know iâm playing with fire but I donât care.
âWhat?â I say innocently, âFor safety reasons.â
She lets out a little laugh, âIâm not fucking you in the name of safety.â I frown.
âYouâre losing your little flirty spark, Fewtrell.â I lean closer, my arm resting on the bar, âYou grow up, finally?â
âI grew up.â She nods, âBut I'll never lose my spark.â She looks offended, my eyes flick down to her body⌠her chest⌠her lips.
âProve it.â Her hand goes to her hip.
âYou gonna flirt with me all night or actually make a move?â Spark is still there. 1000% still there because the way sheâs leaning into me makes me hard.
I glance at the people drinking and dancing, seeing Max instantly in his hideous hat. He's not looking at us, but I know heâs gotten a vibe tonight when I was staring at Y/nâs ass.
âYou really want me to make a move in front of your brother?â I ask her and I can tell sheâs torn.
Y/n has always been close to Max, but she was always known to be troublesome. I liked her more for it. She would sneak guys in when their parents were away and Max would always call me, purposefully being loud about how much he could bench to scare the guy away.
âLetâs dance.â My hand slips to her waist, tugging her closer. She gives me another suspicious look, âCome on⌠I wanna see the way you move for me.â
She rolls her eyes, âTake you and your one liners somewhere else.â She starts walking away, but I follow.
âDonât act like you donât love it.â I take her hand finally, tugging her into the crowd and pulling her close to me.
âDonât act like you donât get off on it.â I bite the inside of my cheek as her hand moves to my neck and into my hair.
âYouâre so fucking hot.â I should probably think twice about telling this to my best friend's sister, but why lie?
She throws her head back, laughing. She shakes her head and keeps dancing. The neon lights swirl around us as people push and scream over the music. I can practically feel the djs mix in my body.
Y/nâs hand goes to the back of my head again, standing on her toes to yell in my ear. âI donât want to smudge your makeup.â I think I'm about to faint.
I shake my head, making her look at me in the eye to make sure sheâs serious. Sheâs staring up at me, a brow quirked as if sheâs daring me.
My lips are on hers embarrassingly fast.
Gripping her waist, I slip my tongue in her mouth. The fake fangs scrape against me but I'm too focused on her so close to me to care.
âŕźş
you
I've spent an unhealthy amount of time wondering what it would be like to kiss Lando. Now I know that my younger self was completely wrong.
Heâs possessive and rough, holding me close and sliding his hand up my body, to my neck. He tastes like makeup and alcohol, my hands holding his neck and tugging at his shirt.
Itâs too loud for him to hear me say his name. He bites my lip and I let out an involuntary whine. He's smirking against me when I tug his shirt, pulling back.
I smile at him, catching my breath for a second just to make sure this is real. âI love this song.â It's âlittle black dressâ by one direction. The song that I played every day of my teenage years whenever Max and Lando were bugging me.
I laugh, leaning back as he rests his head on my shoulder, pressing a kiss to my skin. I turn his head to face me again, kissing him softly. âMaybe I'd be okay with going home to a guy.â I say in his ear.
âYou better be talking about me.â His face is serious but I canât help but laugh, slapping his arm before kissing him again.
âOf course itâs you, muppet.â Iâm kissing him again. I get lost in a haze of smoke and music, melting into him as he breathes against me.
Heâs kissing my neck now, moving his hand down past my back. Then heâs gone.
Heâs off me in a second, âWhat. The. Fuck!?â Itâs Max. âNo! No! No!â He looks like heâs about to kill Lando.
âHeyâŚâ I think Max itâs going to be okay until a smirk breaks out on Landoâs stupid face. âWhat if I told you I'm really drunk?â
Maxâs fists clench, âLando-â He turns to me, looking pissed off, âI canât even with you!â
I push my hair back, shrugging and wiping my mouth. I look at Lando whoâs about to laugh, his mouth is smudged with blood, black paint, lipstick.
âMy sister!?â He yells, getting the attention of few around us.
âI- Okay look! I didnât. I mean! Yeah⌠Sheâs hot!â he goes through options, clearing giving up as he looks at me. Max loses it then, âYup!â Lando turns and fucking bolts.
Max is screaming and iâm laughing, itâs almost too comedic. The crowd basically parts as Lando hurries past, my brother chasing after his best friend.
When theyâre about to be out of view, Lando turns, âYo, Vamp!â He calls out, running backwards with a scared and mischievous expression on his face. He brings a hand to his head, mimicking a phone before breaking out into a grin, âCall me!â

âď¸ OPLA Characters and the âOnly One Bedâ Trope
[Suggestive + No Gendered Terms]
âď¸ Characters Featured: Luffy, Zoro, Nami, Sanji, Mihawk
âď¸ A/N: So... Maybe just the part one to this if people like it? I'll write the next part with the other characters if people want it :) Anyway, cranking out these compilation posts because Iâm brain broken with just OPLA content.
Monkey D. Luffy
âď¸ Luffy didnât show any concern about there being one bed. He saw it as something to find fun in a way! To share a bed with one of his friends!
âď¸ Heâs immediately jumping into the bed and turning to you, holding out his arms, waiting for you.
âď¸ âI promise not to take up too much space! Come on!â
âď¸ Luffy is immediately wrapping himself around you like a little backpack, nuzzling his head into your neck.
âď¸ âMâso softâŚâ while his hand gently caressed your belly, gently grabbing and massaging it.
âď¸ When he felt himself half-asleep, he didn't notice how he was trailing small kisses at your shoulder and the back of your neck. It was like an unconscious habit shining through.
âď¸His arms around you are tightly clung so itâs safe to say that you arenât leaving the bed until he lets you. And he just might not all night.
Roronoa Zoro
âď¸ Zoro is immediately refusing. The moment he saw one bed in the room, he spun on his heels and walked out to try and complain.
âď¸ When there really was no other rooms, he entered back inside with an annoyed look.
âď¸ âJust⌠*sigh*. Take the bed. Iâll be fineâ
âď¸ Maybe he could just lay on the floor instead in his mind. Even when you offered to share, he refused. But, he soon found that the discomfort wasnât worth it.
âď¸ He carefully climbed into the bed, taking up the minimum he could at the edge. When he was drifting asleep, he didnât notice his hands reach out for you, pulling your body toward his.
âď¸ As if you were a stuffed animal, he pressed your body to his and hugged you close.
âď¸ His tired voice just hushed you when you tried to ask what he was doing as his hands moved toward your chest. âShh⌠Jusâ⌠Youâre warm.â
âď¸ After your restless night together, the next morning, he acts as if he has no idea what youâre talking about when you ask him about last night.
Nami
âď¸ Nami is annoyed but wonât make a big deal out of it. Sheâll roll her eyes and complain while setting her stuff down.
âď¸ âLetâs just⌠do what we can. Itâs only for one night. You take that side, Iâll take this side.â
âď¸ She didn't want to make you uncomfortable or overstep boundaries. Keeping on her side, facing away from you.
âď¸ She soon heard you rustling around in the bed, unable to keep still, she was annoyed but asked what was wrong. "Nami... I just- Sorry, I can't sleep."
âď¸ Nami's face softened in realization. Sighing, she scooted closer and pulled you into her, holding you close. Her hands gently rubbed your back.
âď¸ "It's okay. I can make you feel better." She let her hands lightly caress your sides, trailing up to your neck then cheek. "C'mon, I'll help tire you out."
Vinsmoke Sanji
âď¸ Sanji immediately smirked at the sight of one bed but on the inside, was absolutely dying from embarrassment at the idea of being so close to you.
âď¸ He immediately laid in bed, hands behind his head with a cocky look. "Already nervous, beautiful? It's only one night..."
âď¸ You were used to Sanji's flirting and mainly ignored it since he was like that with everyone. You weren't inherently special in your head.
âď¸ The moment you relaxed into the bed on your side, facing away from Sanji, Sanji was laid on his side, eyes to your back. He hesitated to do anything but stare, but he couldn't help it. A phantom touch of his fingers lightly traced your spine.
âď¸ You were initially going to complain like you normally did until Sanji scooted closer, placing a kiss at your shoulder. His hand lightly rubbing your arm.
âď¸ You heard that ever-familiar teasing, soft laugh behind you. He enjoyed your reactions to his simple touches.
âď¸ "You're so stiff... It's just my hands, you know? I just want... I need to feel you."
Dracule Mihawk
âď¸ Mihawk stared at the bed indifferently. It was an inconvenience but certainly not something he was going to fuss about. It's just a bed.
âď¸ He placed his belongings aside, getting ready for bed and slipping under the covers. When he saw you looking to instead sleep on the floor with your bag as a makeshift pillow, he didn't say anything.
âď¸ Laying in bed, Mihawk always found it difficult to drift to sleep, as though he was meant to be tormented by the mere idea of sleep.
âď¸ Maybe an hour had gone by and he looked over to see you still on the floor, huddled into yourself. He sighed loudly. "Stop forcing yourself to freeze. Lay down here."
âď¸ Seeing you carefully slip under the covers as well, he looked over at you, eyes scanning your face then raking down your body.
âď¸ Mihawk reached out with his hand, pulling you closer to him until your face was inches away from his. His stare was critical still, as it always was.
âď¸ His hand went to the back of your head, gently caressing you. âI can warm you up, if youâd like me to. Lay back.â

Part 1
Authors note: sorry if this is straight ass and itâs also not edited at all. Just straight from my dome.
Your mom had let him in, unbeknownst to her, that you two had fought. Rafe looked around your family home. The stark contrast from the home you had with him, it was more cozy. Smaller too. He had to duck to get in. And he couldnât help but notice your cute brother and sister running around, trying to catch each other.
âHola Rafe!â Your sister Bella says.
âHey munchkin.â He says, endearingly. Heâs shocked on how much she looks just like you. Same hair, same eyes, same smile. Your sister was like a mini you. You both looked like your mom.
âSheâs in her room.â Your mom says warmly, she pointed down the hall for him. He smiled and thanked her, walking down the hall. His heart was harming in his chest. This could go either way really. And he was worried you wouldnât forgive him.
He knocked on the door once.
âEstoy busy mami!â You yelled from inside the room, his heart leaped at the sound of your voice.
âUh-itâs meâŚRafe.â Silence engulfs the space, it takes a minute before you open the door and stare at him.
âHowâ
âYour mom let me in.â He says simply, he looks at you, doing a once over. His eyes seeing you in a pointelle pajama set. Your hair is loose and draping your shoulders. He sucks in a breath, you always looked beautiful to him. The way that you dressed, the person you were, the way that you looked. Everything about you enamored him.
âHi.â He says softly, his hands in his pockets. You still havenât spoken, your eyes scanning him as well.
âHi.â You say coldly. His heart broke at the way you spoke to him. But he deserved it. Especially after the way he treated you. He swallowed thickly.
âCan we please talk?â He asks. Your eyes look away from him. Staring at anything in your room. But him.
âNo.â
His heart shattered, he couldnât help but let a tear roll down his face.
âCome on baby, please.â
âDonât call me thatâ you say a little too harshly, you wince at your own tone
âBut you are my baby, you are.â He closes the distance between you. He grabs your face into his hands. His thumb trancing your cheek.
âIâm sorry okay, for everything. From the way I spoke about you to Ruthie and Topper. Shit from kicking the suitcase from you. I shouldnât have forced you to stay.â He takes a sharp exhale in.
âRafeâ
âI know, I know I shouldnât have done that. I was upset and my emotions were all over the place.â
You shook your head at him, âItâs fine Rafe. Really.â
He shook his own head in turn. âNo none of it was okay. If you wanted to come home to your parents I should have let you.â
Silence engulfs you once more, your eyes still not meeting his.
âI was just scared of losing you. I wasnât thinking straight.â His blue eyes meets your eyes. A pleading look engraved in his.
âIâm not coming back Rafe.â You say simply but those words shatter his heart in pieces. Tears are falling down his face now. Heâs holding onto you like a life line.
âYou donât mean that. I made a stupid mistake. Iâm an idiot. Please.â He pleads, but you still continue to shake your head at him.
âDonât do this, please. I love you okay. I see a future with you. With kids, like your siblings.â He points towards the door, out to where your siblings are laughing and playing around.
âRafeâ
âPlease, please. Iâm sorry, Iâm so sorry.âHe gets on his knees, heâs tall enough that he still can wrap his arms around your waist and his head almost reaching your chest.
Tears are falling down your face now, your eyes not staring back at his.
âRafe, stop.â
âNo.â His voice is muffled by the fact that his face is pressed to your chest. You can feel his tears going onto your shirt. You hear him hiccup.
âItâs been two weeks baby. You havenât called or texted me. Two-Two weeks without you. Your hugs, your kisses, your love, and your smile. I canât do it anymore. Itâs killing me baby.â Heâs kissing your stomach now, his face pressing closer to you.
âRafe, please. Get up.â He shakes his head rapidly, you can hear his sobs. He hugs you tighter, not letting go.
âB-baby, please. Donât leave me. Please. I canât, I canât do this without you. It feels pointless.â
You want to be harsh, a part of you does. The more hurt part. To tell him that his friends would be ashamed of him for how heâs crying over a pogue. On his knees no less. How theyâd be embarrassed of him. But the more tender part of you, the one that loves him. Is more overbearing.
âRafeâ
âDonât, I canât hear you say that youâre not coming home to me. That you donât want to be with me anymore. I canât.â Heâs rubbing his face on your chest.
At first you had your hands up in the air. Not wanting to touch him. But after awhile, you canât help but put your hands on him. Trying to soothe him. Your hands running through his buzzcut. Feeling like mowed grass. Itâs a silly thought. But you suppressed a laugh.
âIâll do anything. I told them that you are my girlfriend. That I am with you. That weâre building a life together. Please, donât throw that away baby. Please.â
The hurt part of you wants to slash his dreams. Make him pay for how he made you feel. But the loving part is hogging up the space.
âRafe seriously get up.â You say, he does so but slowly. He eyes you like a puppy. Awaiting punishment. His hands are still on you. His hands still on your stomach as he reaches his full height. You look up at him, tears falling down your face.
âThis is hard for me to do, okay.â He looks at you, his face is all scrunched up. Heâs hurting, you can tell.
âIt doesnât have to be, baby.â He says, his hands moving up to cup your face. âI want to be with you. And only you. No one else compares. I-I need you.â
You donât know how to respond. This was the last thing youâve expected to happen. You never knew he would just show up in your doorway. Wanting to repair things. But he was Rafe. Thatâs exactly the kind of person he was.
âPlease, Iâll do anything. Iâll even propose right now. If thatâs what you want.â He sounds so broken and you want nothing more to hug him. To kiss those tears away.
But you donât know how to respond. What to do, youâre confused. Youâre so scared of getting burned.
âPlease, say something. I need to know you still want this.â Heâs hiccuping again, this time more consistent.
âI donât know Rafe.â He brings your head up so you can meet each others eyes.
âIâll even go to therapy. Iâll change. Please. Iâll do anything for you to come back. If I have to get on one knee and show you how serious I am. I will.â
Youâre taken back by how serious he is. How adamant he is about you. Suddenly, you feel him get on one knee.
âY/n l/nâŚ
âRafe, I donâtâ
âWill you please marry me?â
The words feel like theyâve been sucker punched out of you.
Finally, you get the courage to speak.
âRafe, stop. Get up.â He does as you say, mournfully.
âI mean it though.â
âRafe, youâre not asking me to marry you as a way for me to forgive you.â He shakes his head, his eyes filmed with tears.
âI-I, fuck I wasnât doing it for that.â He reaches for you again. Youâre surprised your mom hasnât come in to say something yet. Maybe she knowsâŚ
âLook, I love you. So much. And I canât imagine a life without you. I want to be better person for you. I know, I know it sounds cliche. But I promise, I mean it.â
You stare into his blue eyes, sucked in like they were a tide trying to bring you in.
âYou have to really mean it, Rafe. No bullshit. Or this is done.â He nods adamantly, his hands touching yours. Rubbing circles.
âI am, I am I promise. Iâll do anything to make things right with you.â He eyes you, his face so scrunched up, you want to grab his face and kiss him.
âI forgive you⌠but you do or say something about me like that again⌠itâs done. Forever.â
He nods, he wraps his arms around you, holding you close.
âI wonât be dumb again, I promise.â You wrap your own arms around his waist. Unable to meet him at his full height to wrap your arms around his neck.
âSo about marriageâŚâ he says after a while, you just giggle unable to hold it in anymore.
âWe are of ageâŚâ You say
