💐 Fiance Headcanons 💐

♡ Genre: Fluff, tiny bit suggestive ♡ Pairing: Bakugou x Reader

Bakugou was over the moon when you said yes to his proposal.

And you better believe HE was gonna be the one proposing. He wanted to be first place in everything in life. He'd be the first one to kiss you, the first to invite you out on a date, the first to ask you to move in-together, etc. He was always one step ahead of you, you could never ask first. He's competitive like that. All your firsts are now his, but never forget that all his firsts are yours too. His lips are only for you! Morning breath or not...

Bakugou knows what he wants and he knows he has always needed you by his side, maybe even more than you needed him. He really couldn't imagine his future without you given everything you've been through together. It wouldn't make any sense not being with his best friend.

So when he popped the question, you best believe his heart was racing more than it had for any fight he'd ever encountered. This yes-or-no question felt like a life-or-death situation. His happiness hung in the balance from your response.

But you loved him very much, and you knew he would stay by your side forever and make you happy in a way nobody else could. So you gave him a million rapid-fire yeses, and he kissed your silly face to kingdom come.

After the proposal, he boasted to everyone and anyone about his upcoming marriage. It's tiring how cute he can be. He's gotta share the news with everyone, rub it into their faces how much better your love is than theirs. It's just like when you two started dating, he wanted everyone to know that you were both off the market FAST.

(Technically he was never on the market for anybody but you but it's better to make it official, you know?)

His parents adore you but they still argue with Bakugou every now and again. You try and convince them to be sweeter to him, you don't want anything to ruin his day. That only worsens their bias towards you so your efforts kinda fail, but it's the thought that counts!

You both have to do a lot of planning for your future together ahead. He's ready to make this wedding the best of the best, like nobody's ever seen. You've got your own set of dreams as you coo over some romantic wedding ideas and cake toppers, while Bakugou takes note of what you like most. Little does he know, you're doing the same to him. After all, its his special day too!

But sometimes you disagree on how the wedding should go, or what kind of food to order. One of the biggest disagreements is on who to invite to the wedding. Bakugou wanted to install a million different rules regarding who can and cannot come, what they can do, what they can't say, etc. It was all too much. If the bridezilla stereotype really exists, then Bakugou embodies it.

It's around this time that your friends from the Bakusquad really start helping out. You've got a lot of shoulders to lean on for emotional and technical support. However, there is such thing as too many cooks in the kitchen. Bakugou reins them in when they start acting like they're planning their own wedding. He knew it was going too far when Kaminari started wanting the whole event to play his personal dubstep mixtape and Ashido wanted to get rid of all the spicy food. If Bakugou didn't veto their ideas, they might've walked all over you with their good intentions.

Bakugou doesn't want a traditional bachelor party before the wedding, regardless of whether or not that's common in Japan. It's just definitely not his thing. He doesn't like the sexual stuff associated with it and he doesn't agree with how it celebrates your supposed "last day of freedom" in a relationship. To be honest, he wants you to avoid it too.

Instead, you probably have two separate normal parties with your own circles of friends that are the same gender as y'all. Ashido remarks that this is still functionally similar to most normal bachelor(ette) parties, but whatever. You're with your buddies, Bakugou is with the boys of the Bakusquad, and even though you're separated he's texting you saying he wishes you were there with him because he's gloating to his friends about how good your relationship is but they're not believing him and it's pissing him off. Please, please, please come home.

Bakugou is essentially forced at gunpoint to have a good time. They're probably hit up some restaurants with spicy food challenges to see how far he can go without killing himself before the wedding. Don't worry, he'll keep himself in one piece so you'll still have a man to marry by the end of it. The others, however, don't stand a chance. They'll be dead by morning.

Later on, you're planning out your wedding attire before the big day and Bakugou's not allowed to see it but you're texting him and teasing him about what it could possibly be. It gets a little steamy at times, with him guessing at EVERYTHING you could be wearing, but sometimes he gets his guesses hilariously wrong. His mind goes places.

You're also planning out your honeymoon together, but there's so many places you'd wanna go that it's hard to pick. Since Bakugou is such a rich Pro Hero and all, you have a world of options to choose from. It doesn't have to be limited to one location, you could do a whole tour of places if you wanted. Bakugou definitely wants to get out there and see some sights with you, maybe show you around a couple of the tallest mountains around the world and see what you think of them. Or he'd wanna find a nice, temporary beach house and settle there, watching the waves with you as you skip stones across the water. He'll cheat by using his Explosion Quirk to make it skip farther, so your Quirk better be able to match that. But no matter what, he'll still say he won in the end, and argue with you until you agree.

With this much planning, you know that the wedding itself will be something to remember.

The little gray lumps decided to playfully attack Sam right away, poking their wet noses at him and pawing through his bag looking for anything interesting. The young guitarist laughed resoundingly, and decided to use his hand as a "claw" to show the raccoons that he was accepting the game. The babies are having fun squeaking and jumping, Sam is outright glowing with happiness, the parent raccoons are taking a break from the noisy kids, and Farmer is taking pictures on their phone to capture this touching moment.

Sebastian was probably most at ease with the raccoons, sitting on the grass while the little cubs sniffed curiously at the stranger. Farmer crouched nearby, showing their forest friends that Sebby could be trusted. So in five minutes the little raccoons were already playing and jumping around the two of them without restraint. Funny little animals. He won't mind continuing to frolic with his friendly neighbors. Hm, maybe bring them a tasty treat?

Well... Those are definitely real raccoons. It's just that after Farmer's words "neighbors-raccoons", Elliott thought at first that his dear husband did not characterize people so kindly, and then the writer remembered that he had never heard of any new residents of the Valley. The raccoons were surprisingly calm, they seemed to know Farmer for a long time, and the cubs were not afraid of Elliott at all. "Meeting with the forest neighbors..." Hmm, not a bad title for his little novella...

When the Farmer told Harvey that they had purchased so many broccoli seeds from raccoons, the local doctor thought it was a bit of an odd joke that he had no way of understanding. But now he saw with his own eyes as the raccoon came out of their little house and gave Harvey's spouse a baggie of seeds, taking pine cones in exchange. A mixture of confusion and shock, and then complete acceptance of the fact, because, as far back as Harvey could remember, the Farmer had done stranger things.

Shane stood motionless, with a "I don't get paid enough for this shit" look on his face while little baby raccoons sat on his head, shoulders, and scratched his new shoes. He definitely thinks he looks silly. But they seem like cool animals, not aggressive, plus Farmer is smiling so wide and sincere at this picture. So Shane is willing to put up with the squeaky sounds of the fidgety cubs once a week. The only no is introducing his with Farmer children or Jas. Better save that sorry.

Raccoons? Not the same ones Alex's grandfather has been complaining about for the past week? The athlete is used to seeing them as pests, since Alex used to be the one who was always picking up trash from the overturned trash bin. So he shows a bit of distrust when he finds out that their "new cool neighbors" are raccoons. Although Alex has no beef with these raccoons specifically, they seem to be peaceful, plus their cubs are super adorable.

Oh, Leah had known for a long time for that tree stump mini-cabin near the farm. Excellent carpentry, by the way. It was very skillful. And the raccoons who had settled there were apparently enjoying their cozy new place of residence, which would shelter them from any weather. Nevertheless, Leah does not dare to disturb the local fauna and advises Farmer not to get close to the raccoons, believing that animals should be respected.

When Penny saw Farmer with raccoons in their arms, the girl wanted to scream in horror, but ended up just squeaking. These are certainly not dangerous animals like a bear or wolves, but even just a couple of aggressive raccoons can pose a serious threat to humans. And the fact that the Farmer was near their cubes... But these raccoons don't seem to mind human company... probably domesticated. Penny is certainly glad that everything went well, but maybe they both shouldn't bother the wild fauna any further?

So the Farmer has been buying carrot seeds from real raccoons all this time? That's awesome! Abigail isn't exactly thrilled about the carrots, though. She didn't seem too surprised by the situation itself. Even wanted to see what else the forest fauna were selling. Seeds, seeds, more seeds... Oh, magic rock candy? Now that's interesting! Especially while she's looking at all the possible items, the baby raccoons are playing with her. So Abby is very happy to have such neighbors.

Haley squeaked twice, the first out of delight at the raccoon family in their cute little house, and the second out of surprise and fear because the raccoons had come too close to her. They don't carry rabies, do they? She looks at her spouse, waiting for their answer. At Farmer's approval, she decided to gently pet the raccoon, who seems didn't mind at all. It was fun, but Haley had had enough contact with nature for the day. Btw, where is her camera? Because she'll definitely take a dozen cute photos before leaving.

On the one hand, Maru's inner voice urges her to counsel herself and her dear spouse against contact with wild animals. On the other hand, Farmer playing with baby raccoons is probably the cutest thing Maru has ever seen, and her heart instantly melts with an overabundance of cuteness. The young inventor would spend days asking the Farmer about the raccoons themselves and how come they made a house for them.

Forest friends! Emily is unbridled delighted that her spouse has introduced her to a family of raccoons. Small and bright animals that playfully run around the blue-haired girl while she herself smiles at the most adorable picture. The interaction alone filled Emily with a huge amount of positive emotions. Oh, and the raccoons look happy in their cozy little house! She should definitely sew a couple of warm plaids for them, so that the baby raccoons will definitely not freeze in winter.

SVE bachelors/ettes:

Considering that Magnus's partner had previously shown him their ability to talk to the forest fauna ("Deal with bear and maple syrup???"), the introduction to raccoons didn't surprise him too much. What did surprise him, however, was that the parents wanted to give him, a wizard they didn't know well, their raccoon children to look after. With all due respect, he was not a babysitter for forest animals! Magnus already had his own children and a pupil to look after.

*Chuckle* What a adorable forest family. Lance is rather pleased to hear that the Farmer and he have good neighbours. Although the gallant adventurer himself doesn't have a chance to talk to the raccoon parents (and to any wild animals), their behaviour towards Lance says that they are not aggressive and don't consider him a threat. He is more interested in the fact that Farmer is actively trading with the raccoons, exchanging coal for mahogany seeds...

Farmer, wait! Stay away from the raccoons, they can be dangerous! Why don't they listen to Victor? He knows what he's talking about. Moreover, the spaghetti lover has told them many times how he was attacked by a vicious raccoon in town a long time ago. He was terrified. So don't- Farmer? Where are you going? Please don't go near- Oh... Are these raccoons tame? Did they make them a house? To keep them warm in the winter? Oh, how nice of them- ???? Did- did they just buy carrot seeds from raccoons?...

Oh, a raccoon family? This is unusual. Well, Claire kind of realises that the forest is very close by, so it's no wonder there are wildlife running around. but she never noticed this little house with cute raccoon faces sticking out of it. The red-haired girl worries when Farmer gets too close to the animals, what if her parents think they're a threat to the little ones? But they seem to regard them as their own and allow them to be petted. Claire would rather watch from the sidelines if her spouse doesn't mind.

...Olivia was beginning to worry that these raccoons wouldn't hesitate to come to their farm and make a mess in the beds. Living in the city, she knew these animals as pests and disease-carriers that crawl through bins. So she honestly said she wasn't too comfortable around raccoons. Although these ones seem to behave differently, without aggression. And the house is pretty nice. But she will need time to get used to such "neighbours".

Oh, Yoba, the Farmer made this little house themselves?! And the raccoons have babies! Five, or even six! That's so cute! Sophia is even willing to forgive the raccoons for knocking over her trash can last week, because it's the cutest thing she's ever seen in her life. The pink-haired girl is still afraid to touch them since they are wild animals after all. But she'll definitely take 100+ photos of the forest family and be sure to show Scarlett, because it's super adorable!

I had a lot of fun with this! I will admit I kinda ditched the OG categories, but I did stick with the theme and overall you can probably figure out where everyone would land anyway. But MORE IMPORTANTLY, thank you for your request, anon. I appreciate you and I hope you enjoy this! Also this is really fucking long!! Almost 5k words!!! Holy fuck!!!!

Sam is a very tactile person, and I’ve said this before, but like a giant puppy who does not know he is giant, Sam likes sprawling himself all over you, no matter where you are. If you’re lounging anywhere together, his head is in your lap and his thumb is rubbing back and forth over your thigh. There have been many times when he nearly knocked out on top of you on the couches at the saloon, but his favorite place to sprawl all over you is at home.

He often traps you on the couch, and it’ll take a lot of bargaining and bribing to get him up—make no mistake though, he knows when not to push it. Sam is so observant when it comes to family, and he learns to read you quickly. He knows when you’re lying, or when you might be pretending to be okay, and is quickly able to discern whether you need support, or some space. 

When you don’t need space, Sam talks. And talks. And talks. He’ll fill up a silence like nobody’s business, or drag you out to exist in the world when you’re feeling like abandoning everything. When things are really bad though, Sam takes the reins and runs things for you. In the early stages of your relationship, he wasn’t very confident helping around the household, but he’s stepped up, and he’s gotten quite good at it.

Growing up with Jodi as a mother allowed him the space to dick around and act like a slob, and he’s a little ashamed of the way he took advantage of her. You try to remind him he was a teenage boy for a lot of that time, but he’s determined not to continue that cycle, and so his favorite part is cleaning—yes, you heard me right. He loves cleaning, because it makes him feel responsible, and it also lightens your load. When the dishes are cleared after meals, or when he’s taken care to sweep and steam the floors, he adores the feeling of productivity and accomplishment afterward. While he doesn’t expect any praise or compensation for it, he does cherish the moment when you realize you have time to relax (in a clean home, no less). He doesn’t ever want to sense the same regret from you that he did from his mother.

Sebastian struggles with verbal shows of affection, and tends to express his love with actions rather than words, but he’s kind of subtle about it. It took you a while to figure out what he was trying to say when he did these kinds of things. Sebastian is the type to cut up a plate of fruit for you after a long day working on the farm, and hand it to you wordlessly. He’ll help you unlace your work boots, rub any aches or cramps out of your feet, and make you a cup of tea—anything that could help you unwind. 

He loves taking you on dates! He’s taken you quite a few places on his bike, and while he’s not a huge fan of overcrowded places, he can handle them a little more easily with you by his side. You’ve gone bowling, to the arcade, mini-golfing (which he was surprised to find he absolutely sucked at), and to a few theme parks as well. He feels braver with you around, and his confidence has definitely improved since you met. He’s not concerned with the people that stare at you while you’re in public, because he knows without a shred of doubt that you’re not interested. Especially when you buy a funnel cake to share and wipe chocolate from the corner of his lips, or win him cheap plushies at a festival. He’s got a little collection of those going, by the way (and he’s named them all after fantasy characters, obviously).

When you’re not around, Sebastian likes to play some of the voicemails you’ve left him. He never clears them from his inbox, just so he has something to remind him of you when he’s lonely, and it may or may not have resulted in his inbox being completely full more than a few times. In a similar vein, his favorite messages from you are videos and voice notes, and whether you’re telling him about your day, showing off a successful harvest, or just popping in to say hello, he replays every message at least four times before melting into a puddle. 

Sebastian worried you might think it’s creepy, but he has a folder on his computer just dedicated to you, full of photos, videos, and voice recordings. He also has a candid photo of you in his wallet and refuses to talk about it, but one time you showed up at his place and found him sitting on his bed staring at it. You still don’t know how long he was like that for, and he adamantly refutes your claims of seeing him doing it at all. The walls of Seb’s office are covered top to bottom in pictures of you, and you’re pretty sure that all of his devices have you as the homescreen. It’s terribly endearing.

Alex likes spending time with you. Whether it be brushing your teeth together, doing the laundry, or loading up the shipping bin with your products and produce for the day, he’s calm as long as you’re nearby. He likes the physical reminders of your presence as well—stained coffee mugs sitting in the sink after you leave to work in the fields, the residual smell of you clinging to his clothing after you steal it, your personal items scattered around the living room, and anything else you leave in your wake. He wants to spend time with you constantly, but when that isn’t realistic, he walks into the bedroom and flops onto your side of the bed, just to shove his face into your pillow and inhale the smell of you.

When you are together, he’s always holding you. Whether it’s excitedly swinging you around in a circle in the entryway after you get back from work, gluing himself to your back while you waddle around the kitchen making dinner, or even walking through town together, he’s got to have his arms around you in some way. Granted, he’s not huge on PDA, unless someone stares at you too long and he wants to make a point, but he loves hugs, and especially playing with your hands! Rubbing his thumbs over the backs of your hands, threading and rethreading your fingers together, swinging your hands back and forth while walking through town, and making sure to remind you about the existence of hand cream when it’s the thick of winter.

Granny Evelyn was always very pointedly teaching him how to take care of his personal hygiene, so you can trust that he learned from the best of the best. When he is messing with your hands, you often find him admiring your calluses. He loves how strong your hands are; he says it’s a testament to your hard work and dedication. 

His life is so much better with you in it, and he’s finally comfortable just existing. Of course he still cares about gridball, but the guilt he felt about never going pro has dissipated, and he’s perfectly content in his life with you. He does wish he could’ve properly introduced you to his mom, but when you smile down at him in the morning, he likes to think the sunlight kissing the top of your head through the window is his mother’s way of showing her approval.

Elliott has a wonderful way with words, but if you want my professional opinion, this man gets tongue tied whenever you’re too forward with him. The more blunt you are, the more red in the face he gets. He’s always up in the clouds, and having someone like you there to ground him so solidly in reality switches his entire perception of love and attraction. It’s such a strong juxtaposition, against what he thought he liked, that many tropes within the romance genre have actually started to irritate him—love at first sight is probably the worst offender—and it affects the way he writes his own characters as well. 

Make no mistake, he’s still very much head-over-heels for you, but he doesn’t idolize you the way he did when you first met. There’s something so overwhelmingly human about you, to him, and he loves every part of it. 

So, he compliments you constantly—but almost always about something mundane or silly. The way your eyes look all droopy and clouded with sleep in the mornings, the way toothpaste surrounds your mouth while you’re brushing your teeth, or when you occasionally get your jacket pocket caught on a door handle and get jerked back with the force of hurricane level winds—and once, when you were struggling to put on your boots before a full day of work, and you tripped and toppled over in the entryway. You made the silliest sound as you went down, and even though he was quick to help you up and check you over for any potential bumps or bruises, he was laughing fondly to himself for the rest of the day. 

Even the way you look rumpled and filthy after a long trip in the mines makes him soft, and he always makes sure to tell you how wonderful you are. With your influence, he’s allowed himself to abandon his forced persona of perfection, and he’s never felt so authentic and comfortable in himself. He’s free to just be, and he’s eternally grateful to you, because you’ve shown him what love is supposed to be.

Shane always checks on the animals with you in the mornings, and he likes the physical labor that comes with repairing things or clearing debris from the farm on the first day of a new season. He’ll happily repair a fence or pathing, and he’s becoming more of a DIY expert himself the longer he lives on the farm with you. Shane is aware of how overworked you were when it was just you running the farm, and taking half of the shit off your plate makes him feel productive and useful—it gives him a little more purpose. He feels guilty about some of the habits he’s still holding on to, sometimes, but waking up next to you every day reminds him just how much makes life worth living. 

He gets a little down when there’s nothing to do on the farm, so if you want him to have a little more pep in his step, you know to ask him to do the usual chores while you dive down into the mines for the day. You do this the most often in winter, when the crops in the greenhouse aren’t ready for harvesting. He’s grateful for the work, and the knowledge that you trust him to take care of things while you’re fighting monsters makes him feel fulfilled. 

After a long day in the fields and with the animals, he likes lounging around before bed with you. His cheeks get so pink when you rub his back and give him massages, and when you shove a hand under his shirt while cuddling to rub his belly. He enjoys talking to you about anything and everything, and there have been a few late mornings because the two of you stayed up past midnight talking. 

He’s gotten pretty good at cooking, too! With all the extra time and a lot more of a sense of purpose in his life, he’s allowed himself to build interest in things he didn’t used to have the energy or time for, and that includes cooking. Make no mistake, he’s still comfortable with popping a frozen dinner in the microwave when neither of you have the time or energy to make a meal from scratch, but he’s become quite the chef! He tries to cook dinner for the two of you at least a few times a week, and he melts a little inside when you do the food dance after trying any of his recipes. He’ll smile so wide, and the tips of his ears will turn peachy-pink if you dare compliment his cooking, so you make sure to do it as often as possible. 

Harvey is always feeding you and making sure you’re dressed appropriately for the weather. He will absolutely run out the door after you in his robe and slippers if you forget a scarf, and a portion of your backpack space is reserved for the lunchboxes he makes you in the mornings. When you come back from the mines, regardless of how well it went or not, you have to let him give you a mini-checkup. He will not be able to sleep soundly if you don’t let him look you over, and he will nag you the entire time. He’s never mean about it, and he doesn’t treat you like a child, but it typically lasts fifteen to twenty minutes, and he might get weepy if he finds out you’ve been hurt. 

He’s just afraid for your safety, and he doesn’t want his life to go back to the dull and lonely repetitiveness it was before. Despite all of that, though, he’s calmed down quite a bit. He still has anxiety, but he’s no longer choked by it, and he’s relieved to have someone in his corner who can help ground him when his brain gets a little too ramped up.

He’s still totally socially awkward, though. He loves to hold your hand, but can’t do much more than that in public, because all of his blood rushes to his face and it makes him dizzy. He loves taking walks on the beach with you, and is the type to draw a heart in the sand with a stick and put your initials in it, but he’ll immediately scribble it out if you make a big deal out of it. 

In private, Harvey is a huge fan of parallel play activities; if you’re at the dining table reading a book, he’s probably going over medical papers or reading about fighter planes beside you. He doesn’t usually speak during these quiet moments, but occasionally he’ll reach over to grab your free hand and pull it up to his lips for a quick kiss. If you whine about needing your hand back, he purposely tickles your hand with his mustache and won’t let you pull away until he gets a real, full smile out of you. Since being with you, his life has become more rich and lively, and he gets more excited about things that would’ve gotten nothing more than a mild smile out of him in the past. You really have changed his whole life.

Maru pays really close attention to anything you express the slightest interest in. If you mention a particular candy that you’ve become obsessed with, she buys a full box the next day. If you mention liking a particular recipe, she’ll make it as often as possible until you get sick of it, and then she’ll move onto the next interest. The few times you took her to the city to visit your family, she made sure to take note of anything you looked at twice in any shop so she could buy it for you later. She’s surprised you with plenty of gifts this way, but there have also been a few times where she made the thing herself, and was very proud to say that her version was both better and worked smoother. 

Your farm has become a lot more automated, due to the sheer amount of tech and machines she’s built. She wants to make the harvesting process as smooth and as light in labor as possible, so that you have more time for yourself and your interests. She watched her mother’s physical state deteriorate over the years due to how often she’s lugging giant logs around, and doesn’t want the same thing to happen to you, so she’s constantly looking for new ways to lighten your load. 

She loves info dumping about her newest inventions or discoveries, and her favorite shared activity is stargazing. You commissioned Robin for a rooftop deck shortly after moving in together, and there have been many nights spent up there, with you pointing out different stars to Maru and allowing her to go on and on about nebulae, star systems, and giant interstellar clouds. She loves answering all of your questions, and never belittles you for not knowing something, or for asking an “obvious” question. It helps her brush up on her own knowledge as well! 

Beyond that, she likes roping you into shitty movie marathons. She’ll pop a few bags of popcorn and get out several bowls of snacks, and maybe if you’re feeling frisky she may just bust out a bottle of wine to enjoy between the two of you. She doesn’t think the movies are fantastic, but that’s the point! Her favorite parts are when she looks over at you after a particularly ridiculous scene, and she gets to watch you go through the five stages of grief in as many seconds. You’ve created a fair amount of inside jokes through this little ritual of yours, and it always makes her laugh, no matter how ridiculous the references are.

Penny takes immense care of the farmhouse, and loves decorating and redecorating your spaces. She’s always looking for the coziest pillows, or the prettiest wallpaper, and she includes you in every step of the process. If there’s anything you don’t jive with, or something you want to get done on the house but can never get to with all the other work you’re constantly doing, have no fear, because Penny will either find a contractor (Robin) to complete the project, or she’ll pick up a hammer and do it herself. 

She likes being a homemaker, and she’s good at it, and seeing you enjoy or react positively to any renovations and additions will make her whole month. You especially enjoy the home library she’s curated, because it’s by far the coziest room in the house, and because that’s where she loves to read to you—it’s something of a nightly routine for you both. After you’re finished getting ready for bed, she’ll sit on the thrifted chaise she restored, wait for you to get comfortable against her shoulder, and she’ll read until you’re sleepy enough to go to bed. (Sometimes you do pass out in there though.)

Your library is full of annotated books she’s given you, though she uses sticky notes to avoid writing directly on the pages, she will write an inscription inside the front cover with a short address to you about why she thought you’d like it. It’s pretty sweet, especially when she gives you romance books and explains with bright red cheeks that the main love interest reminded her of you. That’s always a cute moment, even though you’re a little shit sometimes and will quote the love interest in private moments, just to fluster her.

Penny secretly likes it, though—especially when you try to woo her. Whether it be with roses, dates, gifts, or flowery words, she loves every bit of it. Even though you’re together and she isn’t going anywhere, you don’t abandon those habits later on, and it reassures her. She initially figured the effort would be too much for someone as busy as you, but you always make time and plan romantic things for her, and she’s happy to know that her romance novels aren’t wholly fictional. You’re living proof of that.

Abigail has softened up quite a bit during her relationship with you. Don’t get me wrong, she’s still pretty passionate and bullheaded, but overall, she’s much calmer. She’s comfortable being herself and doesn’t feel the need to get defensive about who she is or what her interests are anymore, and it’s opened up a lot of avenues of self expression for her. She tries new things all the time, and she’s never shy about sharing her experiences or the results of them, because she knows you’re not going to judge her for it.

But because she feels so secure with you, she’s much more comfortable showing affection without fear of rejection or humiliation. That said, she stares at you a lot. Before you may have gotten a pillow launched at your face for bringing it up, but now she’s perfectly okay with being caught. She actually uses it to her advantage most of the time, and will take the opportunity to compliment you, like, “What, I can’t stare at the love of my life?” 

She loves flustering you. It’s mostly genuine, but she does do it just to be a little shit sometimes. When you play video games together (especially ones where you’re competing), she’ll grab your face and pull you into a kiss just to get ahead. It works 90% of the time, even when you know what she’s trying to do. She thinks it’s really cute, and loves seeing you get all worked up when she messes with you like that, but sometimes she does get lost in it and will abandon the game entirely.

On a more serious note, Abigail never lets you go down into the mines without her. She hates having to hear from Harvey, and she’d rather be there with you to prevent any accidents or injuries. It’s easier to get through the shafts with a second pair of eyes and another sword handy, so you’re alright with it—and another upside is that you’re never short on ore and coal anymore. When you get out of the mines afterward, she always suggests a dip in the spa. It helps you both relax and recuperate after a lengthy trip, and she gets to see you in a swimsuit. She may like the second part more, but hey, can you blame her? She thinks you’re hot, let her stare a bit more.

Haley is extremely tactile with her affection—she was pretty embarrassed about it at first, and tried to keep it at bay initially, but it caused some problems early on and that talk was not fun, so she doesn’t repress it anymore. If she wants to kiss you, she’ll ask for it, and the same can be said for any other physical affection. She wants you as close as possible a lot of the time, and when you do meet her need for touch, she all but turns into a cat.

She’ll push her face as far into your chest as it’ll go, latch herself onto your torso with all her strength, and if she’s feeling particularly goofy, she’ll jump into your arms like a koala. It’s very silly (and incredibly endearing), and she always giggles uncontrollably when you drop everything you’re doing to support her weight. She always warns you beforehand, and she does know when it isn’t safe or appropriate, so rest assured nothing goes wrong when she does decide to launch herself at you. Her favorite part about those moments is when you finally get a good grip on her. Again, she’s a tactile lover first and foremost, so your touch is going to make her happy no matter what. 

Besides touch, she likes how little you care about her appearance—make no mistake, she does appreciate when you take notice of all the effort she puts into her appearance—but she loves it when you wake her up in the mornings with a kiss, uncaring of her morning breath and eye crust. Like, sure, she grew up attractive and wealthy, and that meant she was popular, but it also meant she was highly criticized for everything she did. She could never have a blemish, a single hair out of place, or an embarrassing moment, and if she did, she’d be verbally torn to shreds. Always the topic of gossip, she learned to close herself off and pretend, pretend, pretend; but with you, she doesn’t need to.

She doesn’t feel the need to go to sleep with a full-face of makeup on, the way she did when she spent the night at her previous boyfriends’ places, and she’s perfectly content lounging around the house with a bare face and a tangled bun piled on top of her head. She can make all the hideous faces she needs to when applying her makeup and not agonize over whether you’ll still love her afterward. You’ve allowed her the space to let loose and let herself be imperfect, and it’s comfortable. She’s happier than she’s ever been, and a lot of it is thanks to you.

Leah is an artist, and it permeates her entire life—including the ways she loves you. She wants to make art out of you in a million ways, especially tactile ones, like braiding your hair or helping you dress yourself. She frequently stops you at the door before you head out for work, and she’ll fix your shirt collar or put your hat on for you, and adjust your hair until it lays perfectly.

She has paintings of you scattered around the house, but they aren’t always portraits. If you look hard enough, you can find hints of her love for you in all the art she creates; a canvas covered in your favorite flowers, a picture painted only with your favorite color, or subtle snapshots of your life together. She does have a portrait of you above her work desk, though, and it is by far her favorite piece. (She has rejected multiple offers for it, and she always will.)

She loves working on her art projects while you watch, and it’s become something of an inconsistent routine for the both of you. It started after dinner one night, when she was cracking down on a deadline for a commission, but you still wanted to keep her company. Not wanting to leave you hanging, she grabbed two glasses of wine, and you sat comfortably on her studio couch while she painted the piece for her client. She never demands silence from you in these moments, but when you are quiet, it’s easier for her to fall into the cozy atmosphere. Her work often feels less stressful with you watching, because if she gets overwhelmed or irritated with stubborn mediums, she can just flop next to you and take her mind off of the problem.

When you’re not home and she has no immediate commissions, she paints tiny hidden meadows on your furniture: on the bottom leg of your dining table, the inside door of a dish cabinet, the underside of your desk, the top of your front door, and even around the farm as well. She’s always so excited when you find another mini-meadow, and it’s like a special treasure hunt for the two of you. She’s gotten pretty good at hiding them, and she’s quite sneaky about it—except for the one time she fell into the pig pen trying to paint on the rafters in the barn—but that’s neither here nor there. (Don’t let her find the picture on your phone!)

Emily is like a crow. You’ve developed a mini collection of random trinkets, rocks, sea glass, shells, and feathers over the course of your relationship, all found and gifted to you by Emily. She sees a pretty shiny thing and immediately thinks of you. Sometimes she follows you around during your daily errands, just to keep you company. She absolutely steps in to lighten your load when you need it (or rather, when you let her), but usually she’s fine just listening to you talk, and vice versa.

She also likes taking care of you. Emily makes her own homemade soap and body oils, and if you’re ever worn out after a particularly long day, she’ll set up a mini-spa for you, and pamper you for however long it takes to wring out any lingering aches and pains. She’ll bust out dried flower petals and draw a bath for you, making sure to light candles and turn on a diffuser filled with calming oils to help you relax while you bathe. She doesn't want you to lift a single finger, and she may go so far as to dress and feed you after a bath; she likes to use warming oils and massage your entire body before bed. It’s both very vulnerable and incredibly relaxing—but that is her goal, after all—and she always finishes off her pampering with a healthy dose of kisses pressed all over your face.

While not everyone has as strong a connection to the spiritual side of the world, Emily does—and she likes sharing that with the people she cares about. Regardless of whether or not someone believes in the same things she does, she likes to look over your birth chart and horoscopes together, and sometimes she’ll do a tarot card reading for you, just for fun. She’s aware that people think she’s weird for being into these things, but you’ve never shut her down or made fun of her for her interests, and she’s both grateful and overwhelmed by how it makes her feel. No one else has taken such care to understand her, and she feels safe enough to be her most authentic self when you’re around each other. 

It’s also why she likes to dance with you! Whether it be a little dance-off in the kitchen while you’re preparing dinner together, or a slow dance in the living room, or even acting like nutcases at the saloon after a few too many drinks, she’ll have fun as long as it’s with you. She always has fun when it’s with you.

I think she still uses the skills and knowledge she acquired when doing her own hair, and occasionally the hair of some of the residents in the valley.

What I would cook for the Stardew Valley bachelor/ettes!

!first things first! This is NOT based off their likes/dislikes, simply what their personalities and characteristics compell me to make, and absolutely there will be personal bias based off who I like and dislike, because it’s my post silly! Last thing to note is I have NOT romanced everyone yet, but based off my friends and videos I’ve watched, I feel i have a decent grasp on the vibes of the eligible partners, however if you feel I’ve missed the mark completely, tell me! This post is not a set in stone list, and viewer participation is not only welcomed but encouraged!

Without further ado!

Abigail: The big time fan favorite, the loner who eats rocks(?) I think I can plate something more edible than quartz, and hopefully more interesting than her fathers plagerized produce, for Abigail, I’d make her a bowl of chicken and dumplings if only to warm her from the chilly rain!

Alex: my sweet unsure gym bro, you can’t decide if you like the farmer, or REALLY like the farmer, while my instinct says to cook him a steak, I would instead prepare a fruit salad to help him come to terms with the fact that kissing boys is okay!

Elliott: this starving tortured artist would likely eat anything I put on a plate as long as it looked pretty, while he says he only eats fancy foods he definitely snacks on the microwaved ramen in my pantry. For my sharp chinned boy I’d prepare a plate of steak and eggs to feed his ego and his soul.

Emily: because I’m still getting started in stardew, Emily is the first and only person I’ve ever romanced on Stardew Valley, so I think I have a decent grasp on this one! My sweet hippie darling loves the animals but eats meat every now and again, yet I can’t help but feel compelled to make a cheesy potato soup for my parrot loving icon.

Haley: I didn’t always like Haley, but as my irl partner romanced her I couldn’t help but become engrossed in her story of “mean girl with a soft spot”, which is why I’d prepare for her a nice loaded baked potato, a little rough outside but incredibly wonderful on the inside.

Harvey: my roommates partner of choice in this game, Harvey strikes me as the type to see someone he fancies in a cafe, and walk the other way hoping they bump into each other on a day his hair looks better and his sweater doesn’t have mustard stained onto it, for Harvey I’d prepare a cinnamon roll, something warm and sweet, and he can’t make too much a mess while eating it.

Leah: My sweet artist with a bit of a habit of hanging onto her past, Leah has always seemed like the type of person who loves their childhood treats, so I’d prepare her a Peanut Butter & Jelly cut into star shapes, to make sure it’s not her creativity that gets to eat!

Maru: While I could and likely will go on and on and on and on about her father, Maru is not her dad. She may be fiercely intelligent, but I believe she also enjoys the simpler things in life aswell! For Maru I’d make her a pizza with mushrooms and olive, to remind her that she can be different and unique, but that’s okay! So is pizza.

Penny: oh our sweet bookworm, living in close quarters with Pam does not always sound easy, and while this strays slightly from my post, for Penny I’d make something she can have with a book, a fruit smoothie comes to mind to get her nutrition while also being portable and not messy unless she spills it

Sam: he was a skater boi, and penny’s real destined to be. I mean come on! They are adorable together! Jodi & Kent likely feed him well, so he’s fairly difficult for me to decide on, but for some reason an açaí bowl seems to call his name.

Sebastian: this poor man lives in a house where he feels like no one wants or appreciates him, Sebastian lives in a world of cold, so for him I’d prepare a burrito because it’s warm, and holds everything together, and even when it falls apart, it’s still perfect. Be a burrito Sebastian, be a burrito.

Shane: last and in my personal opinion, certainly least. I am not a fan of Shane, but that doesn’t mean he should starve. Apparently he has a good arc, and if that’s the case, this cheeseburger is for nice Shane, not for mean Shane.

hi idk how familiar you are with stardew valley gameplay (i am autistic about it and have put in 500+ hours) so feel free to answer these to the best of your ability

what's milo's overall pace like, and how much does he care about progression within the first two years of a run? any crops he particularly likes using? does he prefer cultivating crops or raising animals, or does he like them equally? how good is he at each of the main 5 skills (farming, foraging, fishing, mining, combat)? any villagers he particularly likes? how much does he care about the dating and marriage aspect, and if he does, favorite bachelor/ette? what's he think of krobus? i'm guessing he's the kind of guy to go community center route on every run, but what's he think of joja? what about pierre? the junimos? anything else noteworthy on how he plays the game?

these questions are mostly directed at pre milo but feel free to answer for violence/manipulation if applicable

Hello! I haven’t played Stardew valley in a while (I have however been into Rune Factory and Potion Permit), but I will try to answer your questions.

Milo I think plays Stardew mostly to relax, so he doesn’t stress too much about progression. I think he likes crops that have trellises like grapes, hopps and green beans because he likes the way they look. Otherwise, I think he will plant mostly anything.

He likes raising animals more. I imagine has a bunch of rabbits and names each one of them. He gets sad when he has to sell them. Probably makes little plushies out of them as well when he knits/sews.

I think he’s the best at farming and foraging. Then mining and fishing. He doesn’t like combat too much because he doesn’t like the sound the insect monsters make. If he has to go down there, he tries to go as fast as possible.

I think he likes Evelyn. He likes that she makes him cookies and is kind. I think he would also like George but it might take a bit to warm up to him.

As a romantic, I think he would like the dating aspect. For bachelors, I think he’d like Shane and Sebastian. Shane mostly because he’d probably feel bad about him getting drunk and he likes that he can get blue chickens. Sebastian, he would probably think is very cool and he likes the little frog event that happens. For bachelorettes, I think Emily and Abigail. Emily is probably pretty obvious since she likes making clothes and Milo likes hand crafts, so it kind of just fits. Similar to Sebastian, he’d probably think Abigail is very cool and wishes he could use a sword like her.

He thinks krobus is pretty cute. Would maybe try to make a plush or sew him on something. Definitely community center. Feels kind of wary of jojo mart. Seems okay with Pierre, though is kind of concerned when he doesn’t want to show his wife his stash. Loves junimos. Thinks they’re adorable. I think also he would spend a lot of time decorating his house. It will be filled with a lot of plushies that’s for sure.

Violence and Manipulation probably don’t play as much, but I don’t think their taste would change all that much from Pre Milo.

Okay I dunno if anybody has done this before, but if they haven’t, I wanna offer the idea that’s been bouncing around in my head:

A ChipandDales AU with Eddie, Steve and Reader! I listened a bit to the podcast dedicated to the story, and there’s this one bit I remember where they were talent scouting. So maybe both Steve and Eddie catch wind of it. Eddie, wanting to get the hell out of Hawkins, accepts immediately. Steve is a little hesitant at first, but the pay is really good and he is known for his looks, so he ends up applying too.

Maybe there’s some tension because Eddie is like “obviously they’re gonna take King Steve over me, fuck man.” But! They accept them both and it’s a swirl of being flown to the location and into preparation for the shows.

For Steve, there’s this particular act that I can see working for him that was talked about on the podcast. Tt’s this Frankenstein’s monster story about ‘The Perfect Man’. Basically taking pieces of different dudes and mixing them together to create the perfect guy, only for him to be destroyed in the end because the one thing he’s missing is a Heart. The last song used when the guy is created is The Kid Is Hot Tonite by Loverboy. I’m thinking this is a AU where Steve doesn’t exactly change his ways, and is still King Steve even in Season 4, so there could be this underlying story about him finding his ‘heart’.

Eddie probably takes The Freak label and runs with it, using his love of theatrics, and music, and skill at playing the guitar to build a routine for himself that’s centered around that. I imagine for him, it takes a while before the owners decide to let him do the routine, and it ends up being a Big Hit. Pulling in even more people from different backgrounds and even getting his music promoted in the process. Still, while he adores the stage, he never really feels accepted and is lonely despite the fact that people are clambering to be with him.

In comes Reader! I’m not entirely sure who they would be, tbh. Maybe someone who just wandered in for a night, or maybe they got hired as a dancer, or works in the costume department. Maybe they were having a birthday there, or something scandalous like a bachelor/-ette party. Regardless, they meet the guys somehow and the three start getting along splendidly, even if Eddie and Steve have a tendency to bicker over them.

RAAAAAGH okay. well. their names are miller and chia and yes, vi chose both of those names (moderated by haley obviously, who loves her wife but does NOT trust her with naming, after all of the barn/coop animals...). miller is older by three years. if you think only one of them is the troublemaker you are WRONG. they are both absolutely forces of nature

miller is adopted when he is only one. he is, as all babies are, extremely loud and he keeps the two of them up all the time but haley and vi love him so so so much and so does everyone else. this kid does NOT shut up and odie, as the wonderful uncle obviously, likes to say that he makes up for how loud vi would be if she were able to talk.

chia is adopted when she's barely a couple of weeks old, so like-- baby baby. at this stage miller is able to walk and talk for himself, and has also grown up learning FRSL (the sign language), and he absolutely adores her. chia is not as loud as miller was but she's much more fussy and bossy, and emily likes to say that she's a lot like haley LMAO.

when chia is old enough to crawl, vi takes the both of them with her whenever she visits the town, and drops them off with whatever bachelor(ette) is not busy-- usually maru and penny-- or, if she's not doing anything dangerous, they get to come along! sometimes haley does too, especially when they go out to the desert with emily to visit sandy, who loves them. miller loves to play in the sand and likes that he can be as loud as he wants in the desert, because there's nobody there to stop him. chia does not like the fact that she has to wear sunscreen.

im so sorry you deserve financial compensation for this travesty. for recs, i have not played like any of the old games because i didnt have a wii/gamecube/whatever growing up so the oldest game i played was sunshine islands which is literally MY harvest moon game thats like my most nostalgic game of all time and i still have my old save (its on the ds) only criticism i have of it is that it can be really grindy/soft-lockish if you dont know what youre doing with the main story quest, like i did when i was 8 or whatever, but i still love the characters a ton and the main story is cool its like stardew valley-esqe where u collect enough stuff to unlock new features like a truffle island, a greenhouse, ect. if u wanna look into the other console games then u will have to look for better reviews im afraid 😔

other than that, modern story of seasons games that have my seal of approval:

Tbh I see him as the cuddler in his sleep.

When he gets in bed, he faces his back towards you. Give it I'd say 30 minutes and he's all over you.

Completely deny it in the morning

"What do you mean I was all over you last night? Uh, no. Why'd would I want to touch you while I'm asleep??"

He'd also hog the whole bed and blankets

To top it all off, he totally snores

Sebastian

Pretty normal sleeper if I'm being honest

Doesn't snore and doesn't hog the bed or blanket

Definitely had a messed up sleep schedule though, goes to sleep at 3 A.M. and wakes up past noon.

Now, if you did convince him to at least lay in bed he'd wrap his arms around you while scrolling through his phone or such.

100% snores at night, not loud and obnoxious but it still counts as snoring.

She'd wake up past midnight for a snack, either that or she sleep walks

She's a cuddler, from the moment she crawls in bed; she has to be touching you in some shape or form.

I could see her occasionally using your chest as a pillow, like y'all be there cuddling and she'll fall asleep and stay there.

She wakes up first, to no fail. She'd be in the room reading a book in a big arm chair while waiting for you to wake up

Elliott

He's a cuddler, he'd be more comfortable being a big spoon (being a tall lanky boy) but adores being a small spoon

One of the only cuddlers that don't steal the bed, like he doesn't push you to the edge of the bed

Being a writer, his sleep schedule is also messed up

A lot of nights you'll find him asleep at his desk and you'll just have wake him up or drag him to bed

Loves you running your fingers through his hair while he tried to sleep

Haley

Definitely wants her personal space in bed

8-13 hearts Haley wouldn't care how big of a cuddler you'd be, she literally will not touch you while in bed.

I just have a feeling after her 14 heart event that she'd be more okay with it but most nights just want her space

Emily likes to hug you while she falls asleep

I feel as a bartender, she's pretty muscular (not super super bur decently). She'll have you in a deathhold while you sleep.

It's not uncomfortable, but you just can't escape till she wakes up. Lucky for you, she doesn't sleep very late

You're her personal body pillow

She snores but it's like a cute snore, that and it's pretty quiet

As for bed space, she does give you your bed space! You don't have to worry about sleeping by the edge and almost falling off it

Alex

He takes over the whole bed, he doesn't realize it but he just does

When I say he steals the bed, I mean he lays in the center of the bed with each limb going in different directions and stretched out almost as far as possible.

He snores and it's really really loud, like bad enough you almost can't sleep.

Alex falls asleep easily, considering how active he is he's always tired and falls asleep the moment his head hits the pillow

Doesn't make the bed, you have to make it or it doesn't get made

While asleep, he'd definitely still you blankets just to kick them off the bed

Leah

I have a feeling that despite her being pretty independent, Leah would rather fall asleep in your arms than any other your way

She doesn't snore, steal the bed or covers, or accidentally kick you in her sleep.

Leah's probably the easiest people to sleep with

She's not picky about the temperature or the beds cover. All she wants if for you to wrap your arms around her while she sleeps

She occasionally gets zoned in while sculpting and you'll have to tell her what time it is. She's pretty good about going to bed early and won't complain when you tell her it's getting late

Maru

Loves feeling your hands, not in a sexual or weird way, Maru just like holding your hands while sleeping or asking you to touch her face while she sleeps.

When you have trouble sleeping, she'll start to tell you about one of her projects she's working on to lull you to sleep

On that note, she's usually hunched over while working. While laying in bed, if you're not stroking her face or holding her hands, she'll fall asleep to you giving her a massage

Doesn't hog the bed, but she does snore. I can just feel it

Harvey

He has like a dad snore if that makes since

Harvey will most definitely steal your bed each night. He's tries to make up for it in the morning by fixing you breakfast or coffee but at this point it's just become the ordinary

Much like Maru, will tell you about his day while the two of you lay in bed.

Now when I say this, I mean like goes into heavy detail. You feel soo bad, but within the first 15 minutes you fall asleep

- he always awakes before his grandparents, and on warmer days he’ll go down to the beach to watch the sunrise.

- knows how to make cookies, as evelyn taught him when he was a bit younger

- wary of the saloon, as he doesn’t really like the smell of alcohol and only goes into it if he’s forced to!

- not only is he fascinated with planes, but he’s also fascinated with the weather. as a kid he used to watch the weather channel, and he dreamed of becoming a weatherman.

- when he needs to focus really hard, he’ll pull his hair back with a headband

- him and his mother were and still are very close, and he writes letters to her at least once a week

- he cannot cook to save his life, but he’s an incredible baker! will make you little treats if you’re friends or married

- he had adhd, and his stims include flapping his hands, tapping his foot and strumming his guitar

- loves the hell out of halloween, but is scared of literally everything. he nearly cried watching a horror movie with sam and abigail.

- he had glow in the dark stars on his ceiling, but removed them. he used to love the stars and space, but came to resent them because it was his sisters thing.

- he cannot cook. he burned pasta noodles because he didn’t know you had to put water in the pan.

- really good at mixology, so i think that when joja gets shut down, shane works at the saloon and makes the drinks while gus cooks. he adds a whole new section on the menu!

- kinda strong as hell? he lifts boxes in joja for work, as well as carrying around jas, so i’m assuming he could just….pick the farmer and his friends up?

- he has the most contagious laugh, it used to be a rare sound, but now that it’s a pretty common occurrence, shane makes people laugh all the time with his own laugh.

Abigail:

- buff. she is buff as hell. her and alex work out together sometimes, since she expressed a desire for adventure. she has picked up sam and sebastian with no warning and thrown them into the ocean

- can talk to animals due to her being the daughter of the wizard! so sometimes she’ll go to marnies farm and just chat with the cows or something

- if she sees a tree, she WILL climb it. she loves it so much, it’s just so adrenaline inducing for her.

- her and sebastian tried to go into the mines before but sam stopped them because it wouldn’t have been very safe. they were all 14.

- trying to learn to play the ukulele with a little help from sam. it’s frustrating, but she really likes the sound of it, and she’s determined as hell.

- absolutely cracked at any and all video games he plays. mario kart? she will kick your ass. animal crossing? her island has 5 stars. pokémon? she always wins. you can’t stop her, she’s too powerful.

- she has glasses, but prefers contacts, since glasses would get in the way of her adventuring.

Emily:

- not only can she sew, but she also makes her own soaps and candles! any form of creation she adores.

- loves flowers, and has a lot of little potted ones in her room. she raises them, gives them little names and personalities, and then brings them to sandy and tells her all about each flower

- she can roller skate, and it’s her preferred method of transportation. she can do a bunch of fun tricks as well!

- making cute little baskets of homemade gifts is her favorite thing to do for her friends. sometimes she’ll just leave them on their doorsteps for no reason other than she wants to!

Too bad they're somewhere far away... No, it's not a pity, let this fucking asshole die in their hellhole. What's important right now that Farmer's here, and Shane's gonna be right there with them. He's gonna suggest that Farmer go to therapy. It really helps, Shane's realized that himself. And he'll be there for Farmer, he'll never leave them. And would never hit them.

Alex knows all too well why Farmer flinched like that, and his heart filled with rage. The same way his mom clutched herself, hiding her face from the heavy hand of her alcoholic husband... The very thought that his dearest Farmer, the love of his life, had thought he would hit them, that Alex would be like his father, made him shiver with unbridled hatred for whoever had made Farmer feel that way. But the athlete will calm himself down, and do whatever it takes to help and protect Farmer. He would never, ever hit them. Never.

Sam has a look of utter confusion on his face. "Babe, what's wrong?" The young guitarist was just chasing flies, and now doesn't understand why Farmer hid their face in their hands. Is something wrong? Why do they look like they're crying? When Farmer tells him the reason (which they were previously afraid to tell), Sammy's heart just cracks to pieces. He will put his arms around Farmer and slowly rock them. If they are comfortable, Sam will listen to them carefully and try to cheer them up, showering them with kisses and affectionate words.

Elliott would simply become speechless. "My love, you didn't think I'd..." He can't even get the words out. He knows that Farmer's relatives treated them horribly, his partner have told the writer about it. He knows that recovering from such trauma will not be easy or quick. Elliott won't leave them alone with the trouble. But did they really thought that Elliott would allow himself to fall so low and raise his hand against them? The writer's in tears. It hurts him, but Elliott is in no way angry with Farmer. No, he loves them with all his heart.

Sebastian would never forget the moment in his childhood when his biological father was ready to slap him. Luckily, Robin managed to catch the man's arm before that, and Sebby never saw his bio father again. As he grew older, Sebastian realized exactly what that man had intended to do. He was disgusted to even think of doing that to anyone, much less the person he loves and adore endlessly. He would take the Farmer's hands, look them in the eye, and tell them that he loved them and would never, under any circumstances, raise a hand against them.

Harvey will put Farmer in a hug, but the doctor still won't be able to hold back the tears. Harvey knows that Farmer has only recently, on the advice of their beloved husband, sought professional help, that progress won't be immediate, and that it takes a very long, long time to work at it. But for Harvey, every time Farmer flinches at their husband's sudden movement is like the first time - shock, confusion, sadness, pain. And even worse when the Farmers began to blame themselves for this behavior. No, Farmer, it's not your fault. Harvey won't let their partner think it's their fault.

Abigail is hella confused.... Why are they flinched? Wha- What do they mean!? She loves Farmer, how did they even think of that?! Abby got angry, but would quickly cool down and start apologizing to an even more frightened Farmer. She didn't mean to yell at them like that, but the image that her partner thought she would take a swing at them just threw her off. Ugh, if those creeps who had hurt Farmer came to the Valley, then the amethyst lover would pelt them with such stink bombs that even the skunks would turn their noses away from them. Hehehe, good thing that made Farmer laugh. Right, fuck those bastards.

Leah can't believe her ears. Farmer, she is holding an axe! How could they think that their wife would dare swing at them with a sharp axe?! The fact that someone actually tried to swing something like that at Farmer made the blood in the artist's veins boil. She wasn't angry at Farmer, naturally, but at the bastard who'd treated Farmer like that. And don't let her partner worry: if their ex abuser dared to come in the Stardew Valley, Leah would definitely use her axe... Okay, maybe not so radical, but this person won't lay a finger on her precious partner. She'll defend them to the last, that's for sure.

Penny is a very peaceful, fragile and gentle girl. How can anyone imagine that she is capable of such a thing - to hit Farmer, love of her life? For a young teacher, family is sacred! Maru was upset at first, because she thought that the Farmer was afraid of her next invention (she could not forget the humiliating incident when they were electrocuted). Only after a couple of seconds Maru realized that they looked with fear not at her device lying on the table, but at herself. She doesn't understand what's wrong. It's not like she has any super dangerous wires or parts with her, see? What? The Farmer thought Maru was going to... hit them? She loves them! Never, you heard her, Farmer, she would never....

Emily is a person who values life and the comfort of every creature. Happiness and positive emotions for everyone around her, especially for her close people and friends. Because of this, the very thought of Farmer hiding their face from what they thought was a punch made the blue-haired girl upset. Farmer had told her about their... not-so-good relatives, who left her lover with this trauma. Emily tries her best to make the house as comfortable as possible for Farmer, and they know it and will always be grateful to their loving wife.

Haley had had partners in the past who, as she found out later, lived by the principle of "beats means love". She wouldn't let those pieces of shit around her anymore, and made a promise to herself never to get involved with such people and never to fall to their level. And Farmer flinched so much at Haley's sudden movement made her remember her exes. She is furious. But right now, the most important thing to her was her beloved Farmer. Haley apologizes for the sudden move, shares her experience and wisdom on how she handled the abuse earlier, and assures Farmer that she will never do to them what Haley's exes tried to do to her.

He genuinely loves Farmer and he wouldn't dare let himself fall so low. They vowed to each other to share both joy and sorrow together. Lance will always love them.

Magnus faced various conflicts when he was married for the first time. Misunderstandings, quarrels, arguments - it's quite natural for a couple. But the wizard would never, ever raise a hand against his partner, and he would despise anyone who justified violence and abuse of authority. He would immediately calm the shuddering Farmer and begin to comfort them. If those pathetic excuse of humans showed up at their farm, Magnus would disintegrate them with a snap of his fingers. Ministry rules? There's a one rule in the Mage Law that allows the use of magic for self-defence and the protection of loved ones. So let the Farmer not worry about this.

Victor, overwhelmed with the good news about his bridge-building practice, raised both arms to hug Farmer, but immediately pulled back when he saw how much they flinched. Penny: Words of affirmation - having spent so much time with Vincent and Jas, Penny occasionally forgets when to stop being a teacher and start being a girlfriend. It’s not all bad though; practically every other sentence she tells you that she’s so proud of you, and that she loves you more than anything, and will praise you for even the smallest of things

Sam: Gift giving - despite his allergies, Sam knows how much you love the wildflowers that bloom around Pelican Town. So, every Spring he prepares himself with a small army’s worth of antihistamines and hunts through every square centimetre of the Cindersap Forest until he’s created the perfect bouquet. When he proudly presents it to you in a vase, decorated by Jas and Vincent, his eyes are so red and scratchy and his nose is so blocked that you don’t quite understand why he does it, but he insists that the sight of your beaming face makes it all worth it

Sebastian: Quality time - whether its playing Solarian Chronicles together, riding around on his motorcycle in the evenings, or just chatting in his room, Sebastian loves to just be near you. Your mere presence calms him, and sometimes on particularly stressful days he invites you over so just be with him while he works

Shane: Physical touch - at first, Shane seems to resist your kisses and cuddles, but before long he transforms into a human teddy bear. Any opportunity he can get to wrap his arms around you, no matter how impractical, he takes with gusto. No matter what position you fell asleep in, somehow by the time you wake up he’s managed to attach himself to you

Sebastian Domestic/Married Headcanons!

When it comes to daily household management, Sebastian feels tries his hardest to help with as much as he can.

With farm work, he does a lot of the animal and building management work. He loves animals so much, and he has learned a lot of carpentry tips from his mom, so he helps with that a lot!

He really doesn't like waking up early in the morning, so best believe this boy is on coffee duty from 6-9. He keeps bringing out more mugs for you two, all prepped with any cream or sugar you want.

If you have chickens, you best believe this boy is gonna want void chickens, and once you get them....oh boy.

He names every single one and is obsessed. He gets so excited about them, it's so adorable.

This boy cooks a lotttttt.

He never used to, he always just ordered food from Gus or cooked some pre-made frozen food Robin got him from the store.

So when you two got together, he started cooking more, learning a ton of recipes he found online, and some of his mothers.

Best believe he makes a tonnn of pumpkin soup when fall and winter roll around.

He makes a lot of meals for you to come home to. He makes it all fancy and everything, candles, soft music, flowers...he's so romantic about it sometimes, it's really surprising.

You two do movie nights a lot. After long days of farm work or monster hunting, you two love to cuddle up and watch movies to wind down. He makes the couch all cozy with a ton of blankets, pillows, snacks, you name it while you wash up.

He gets way more excited about town festivals now that he has you to go with him. Especially the flower dance, he actually likes it now.

When you two have children, this man gets do excited and nervous at the same time. He spends a lot of time with you prepping the nursery, and their bedrooms as they grow up.

He is so protective. The last thing he wants is his child/ren getting hurt, so he can't help being a bit of a helicopter parent for a while.

So. Many. Frog. Plushies. And. Pj's. I swear, this boy gets so many adorable froggy onesies, blankets, and plushies.

Yalls children are so spoiled. He will give them anything they want, they get so many gifts for holidays and birthdays it's insane.

He does most of the homework help with them. Willing to tutor them in any school subject they are struggling with.

If the children like video games or board games, he has game nights with them a lot. Even making little mini-child version Solarian Chronicles campaigns for them.

Those movie date nights become family movie nights when you two have children and they grow up enough to actually like movies.

Alex? | #tagged nsb gen 1

As Mint tries to reel in her feelings for Becca, she remembers how she and Alex hit it off so easily and how Mint Adores Alex. So when Alex invites Mint to a gym session before work, she takes it as an opportunity to throw out some pickup lines. It works!

They meet up again at Mint’s place after work where Love Day gifts are exchanged, but when Mint tries to hint at wanting a date, Alex totally pulls a reverse card and starts giving Mint the cold shoulder. It damaged their relationship so much that they’re no longer even friends. :(

Alex makes them both stew in the awkwardness as she decides to stay the night anyway. Mint hides in her room, where she gets a phone call from Becca saying she has decided to not pursue Derek and she thanks Mint for being such a shoulder to lean on. Is this a way in?

I’m really too lazy to edit captions onto my pictures, spending time editing instead of in-game is what sucked the fun out of simblr last time. I will do it for more important events (like bachelor/ette challenges) but for now, I hope this is good 🤨

Ooh, I love to hear your thoughts on Linus from Stardew Valley

I know my blog is primarily Harvest Moon, but it's really cool that I get to talk about Stardew a little bit here. :) Here are some of my thoughts on him (from the questions on the linked ask game above):

How I feel about this character: I love Linus. Out of all the characters in Stardew Valley, he is EASILY my favorite, even more so than Sebastian and Haley (and believe me, I adore them). He's a kindhearted soul, nonjudgmental, and just trying to make it by in life. All he asks is that nobody judge him in return. Plus, he has an air of intrigue around him -- the fact that he's friends with the Wizard makes me think he's not all human, that maybe he has magical abilities too. Considering there are monsters and dwarves in Pelican Town, it wouldn't surprise me at all.

All the people I ship romantically with him: To be honest… I don't really ship him with anyone. I don't really see him as the romantic type in the first place. Having said that, if he was ever made an available bachelor, you bet your ass I'd be going after him haha. I guess you could say I ship him with the farmer!

My favorite non-romantic relationship for this character: -- Linus & Farmer -- Every time I play this game, I make sure to become Linus's friend first lol. I can't help myself! He's such a softie. He's also pretty easy to befriend, since he enjoys most of the things in the forest (including salmonberries!), so why not? :) -- Linus & Wizard -- I LOVE that this is part of the game. I really want to know why Linus and Wizard are friends, and I touched on this earlier, but I do wonder if the friendship has something to do with (in my theory) not entirely human. Maybe he's an apprentice or wizard in disguise? Maybe they're related??? Either way, I love the idea that they are close somehow, whether it be because they're friends or because they're blood related in some way. I feel like the two must understand each other better than anyone else. :) -- Linus & Gus -- I know these are all canon friendships, although I guess you can't really call Gus and Linus "friends". It's really more that Gus treats Linus with respect and kindness and offers him fresh food anytime he wants. But I could see a really good friendship coming out of it. I bet Linus would have TONS of stories to tell Gus, and Gus would happily listen and enjoy what he has to say. Gus is a character I hugely respect too because of how he treats Linus… especially since everyone else in town seems to either ignore him or pretend like he's subhuman, which kind of makes me sad (although, unfortunately, it is kind of realistic).

My unpopular opinion about this character: Hmm… y'know, I don't know if I have any? I feel like my opinions about him tend to be pretty popular -- he's a pretty well-loved character in the fandom (for good reason lmao). I guess one thing I'll say that I know gets talked about every once in a while is... I DON'T think Linus is the one who pick-pockets from you when you pass out from exhaustion. He has no need for your possessions and he's nowhere near that malicious and two-faced, so why would he bother? I really think the thieves are outsiders (or hell, it could be Louis lol).

One thing I wish would happen/had happened with this character: I wish you could marry him! Lol, well, him and anyone else in this game who happens to be an adult bachelor/ette. But him in particular -- I think even though he says he's happy being out in the wild (and I believe him), I still want to provide him a home and fresh food to come to if he ever wanted it. I know they added this in for Penny and Pam, but I wish there was something for Linus too. I really just wanna treat the guy and give him something in return somehow lmao.

Favorite friendship for this character: Err, I basically just kinda answered this above lol, since Linus doesn't really have any other relationships in the game, unfortunately.

My crossover ship: Well, not a ship, per se, but wouldn't it be so cool if Linus and Murrey from AWL knew each other in passing somehow? :)
