Nobody asked me, but the thought of sending my beloved couple on a new journey didn't let me go. Welcome to a new adventure! No idea how many chapters there will be :)

Description: Catherine returns to Cairo after a short trip to her sister. One evening she had dinner with her childhood friend, her sister, and her boyfriend, who told her about the legend of a blue diamond hidden in the Egyptian pyramids..

Ladies and gentlemen, the Loguetown-Cairo flight has landed at the international airport of Cairo. Thank you for choosing our airlines.

Catherine quickly got up from her seat, picked up her bag and was about to run out the plane, but an old lady in front of her was extremely slow in getting ready to leave.

"Excuse me, mam, maybe I can help you?" Catherine gently tapped the woman's back with her finger.

"No thank you, sweetheart, I'm used to doing everything myself." In a polite but slightly husky voice the woman replied.

"I just really need to go. Let me help you!" She grabbed the woman's bag.

"I said I'll do it myself!"

"Fuck!" Catherine saw that the front row of passengers had already gotten off.

“Alright!” She slung her bag over her shoulder, climbed over the seat that was next to the woman and quickly rushed to the exit. “Sorry-y-y-y!”

Catherine tried to walk through the airport pavilion calmly but she was having trouble doing it. She also tried to hide her happy face and not to push everyone away with her hands.

"God, why are you all walking so slowly!!" She muttered.

The door to the arrival hall opened and after that Catherine didn’t remember anything else. She only remembered how she threw her bag on the floor and rushed towards her beloved clown. Waving her arms happily above her head, squealing “my Buggy Be-e-a-ar”, with a big smile on her face, she jumped on him and hugged him with her legs and arms.

"Hi! Hi! Hi! Hi!" She pecked him on the lips several times.

"Cotton candy, you're gonna suffocate me." Buggy wrapped his hands around her waist.

"I don't care!" Smack. Smack. Smack. “I was gone for four whole days!” Smack. Smack. Smack. “I won't go anywhere without you again.” Smack. Smack. Smack.

“I hope you missed it too. Because you're all covered with my lipstick again.” He started laughing.

“Shit!” Catherine wiped her lips with her palm. “It's time for me to get used to this.”

She hugged him tightly, kissed his temple three times and looked into his eyes. "My silly clown..."

"I'm listening, my Cathie-pie."

"Take me home, please."

While they were driving home, Catherine could not calm down. Actively gesturing she told him the latest news, asked how Buggy lived without her, whether he missed her, how his circus was and what was new in Cairo.

"So what happened with your sister?" Buggy asked as he carried Catherine's bag home.

“It turned out that she just had a fight with Ethan. Honestly, I thought there was some kind of tragedy when she called me in tears. But they made up pretty quickly, so my trip to her turned out to be almost pointless.”

Catherine walked up to Buggy and hugged him tightly. "I missed you so much, my Buggy Bear."

“No. I can't. It's still a terrible terrible nickname, my Cathie-pie.” He hugged her shoulders and kissed the top of her head.

Catherine heard him barely say, "I missed you too."

"I still don't care. I’m not gonna change it.” Catherine pecked him in his lips and pulled his cheeks. “By the way, we spoke about you too. Everyone was curious about our relationship. But don’t be afraid, I said only good things. And my sister and I also had a girl talk about you.”

“I’m flattered by such a high assessment of my person.” He took and kissed her hand, and led Catherine into the living room.

“Jackass. Let me quickly take a shower and then I’ll cook us something to eat. You’re probably hungry.”

"Actually, I bought us Chinese food and your favorite wine."

“Wow! I’m impressed, Buggy the Clown! You're growing! You’re learning to take care of yourself.” She giggled and pressed her head against his chest.

“Oh, screw you! I lived somehow before you. But I have to admit, you take care of me much better, you know.”

She wrapped her arms around his neck and looked into his eyes. “I have no doubt about that. You would probably be dead without me. At least now you've learned how to wash your socks.”

“Little shit.”

“Did I tell you that you are my best and I love you so so much?”

"Nope. Hear it for the first time."

Catherine quickly showered and returned to the living room. Chilled wine and packages of Chinese food were already waiting for her on the table.

“God! It's so great to be back home.” She looked at Buggy. “Why are you smiling?”

"I really missed your ass, but I also really missed your funny pajama pants. Dinosaurs? Seriously?" He pointed at her new pants.

"Oh, shut up! I liked them. By the way, I brought you a gift."

“The gift? For me?"

"Of course! Why are you so surprised? I couldn't leave my Buggy Bear without the gift." She ran to the bedroom and returned with some sheets, a bottle and a box in her hands. "The best whiskey from Loguetown and a box of chocolates for my sweet tooth." She gave him a few pecks on the lips and plopped down on the sofa.

"Wow! Thanks, my cotton candy!” He kissed her cheek. “I've never gotten the present before..”

"What? This is terrible!" She knelt on the couch and kissed him on the cheek. "Well, now you have me, lucky bastard."

“What's that in your hands?" He pointed at the sheets of paper as he opened a bottle of whiskey.

“Oh, this... Yes, it’s nonsense. Or maybe it’s not nonsense. Well, we went to dinner with my sister, Ethan and one of my childhood friends. We met him suddenly.” She glanced at Buggy and noticed how his face changed.

"Friend? Male? Did you go out.. with.. him...?"

"What do you mean? A date? Yes, I did."

"Okay..." Buggy tried to appear as calm as possible.

“Once we went to an ice cream cafe and he also brought me dandelions.”

She run her hand through Buggy's hair.

"Okay..."

"Someone is jealo-o-ous!" She kissed him on the cheek.

"I'm not jealous!"

"Before you run to strangle this poor guy, I can tell you that when he asked me out we were seven years old. So, back to the sheets. My sister and I talked about our fun trip. And while we were talking that friend and Ethan mentioned a myth or rumor.. I don't actually know.. about some kind of treasure, hidden somewhere in the Egyptian pyramids. I was interested in this and the next day I went to my old job in the library and rummaged a little in the archives. I made copies but there is no direct evidence in them that anything exists at all. And.. Why are you smiling again, clown? "

“I just can’t believe it. My little Cathie-pie is rummaging through the archives and looking for information about treasures. You really liked our previous adventure, right? Admit it!”

"Go fuck yourself, asshole. I'm not telling you anything else." Catherine took the wine and turned away.

"Come on! Come here, baby. Tell me more." Buggy put his arm around her shoulders and cuddled closer.

"I won't, you're mocking me."

"I'm not mocking you. I find it very sexy, by the way.” He kissed her temple.

“I hate you. So.. I studied the copies all the way on the plane, but I can’t definitely confirm whether there’s something in these places or not.” She fiddled with the sheets of paper in her hands and put them aside on the couch. "I think maybe I'll go to the local library tomorrow. Just for fun."

"You know, I know another way to have fun and you don't have to wait until tomorrow!" Buggy stood up from the couch, grabbed Catherine in his arms and carried her into the bedroom.

“What are you doing?! Let me go!!” She slapped his hands.

“Baby, I’m going to do what I haven’t done with you for four whole days. I hope you survive until the morning.” He laughed like a maniac.

"Damn you and your chop chop abilities!"

"You're going to make me lose the ability to walk someday, fucking clown." Catherine woke up in the morning and put her head on his chest. She took one of the strands of his hair and began to twirl it around her finger. “Do me a favor, send your hand for your t-shirt, because I can't get out from under the blanket naked."

"Who told you that? I'll be glad to see you like this." Buggy began to move his hands down to her buttocks.

"Go to hell, honestly! First, I have manners! Second, stop grabbing my ass, Buggy!” Catherine looked at her hands and shoulders. “Fuck, I need to take a shower. Because someone left red lipstick marks all over my body and even... God, I can’t even talk about it. You've completely ruined me.”

“You didn’t complain throughout the night, cotton candy. And especially those three times when my tongue was between your..” Buggy ran his hand in circles on her back.

“Ts!” She covered his mouth with her hand and glanced at him with squinted eyes.

“That was re-e-a-ally good, right?” He muttered into her palm and winked.

“I hate you!”

Catherine barely fought off Buggy, who seemed to want to give her another hot round, grabbed his t-shirt and ran into the bathroom.

After breakfast she changed into jeans and a t-shirt, grabbed her crossbody bag, accompanied Buggy to the circus, kissed him on his lips and went to the library.

Catherine sat in the library for half a day, sorting through old dusty books and papers. She asked the library employee what other materials she could read. The gray-haired woman sincerely did not understand why Catherine was interested in this story. She mentioned that she had heard something, but she assured her that it was just a myth that was invented for fools who were simply thirsty for adventure.

"Why do you need this, dear girl?" The woman asked her while Catherine was copying some notes. "You don't look like the kind of person who leaves everything behind to go somewhere far away to find something."

Catherine didn't know how not to laugh, remembering how she once left everything behind to go in search of her sister and how that search ended.

"I just love reading books. Myths, legends. All this is terribly fascinating." Catherine shrugged and smiled.

“You should get married, not read books!” The woman rasped in her voice.

"Thanks for your advice, I'll definitely use it!"

Catherine put the papers in her bag and went home. On the way, she stopped at a couple of bakeries, muttering under her breath that "it will be better if Buggy fill his mouth with donuts and fucking Cinnabons. Otherwise I'm done."

She returned home when no one was there yet. Catherine was drinking coffee when she heard the keys jingle in the keyhole.

She jumped up and ran to the front door.

"Finally, you're home! I went to the library and..."

Buggy shut Catherine up with a kiss. "First of all, hi!"

"Hi!" She kissed him on the nose and dragged him into the living room. "So, I went to the library..."

"Baby, give it back."

Catherine heard Buggy's voice behind her.

"Give.. what?" She looked at him blankly.

He pointed his finger at her hand. Catherine looked down and started laughing. She held his hand in hers.

"Damn, sorry! Take it."

“Thank God you didn’t pull me for something else.” He laughed loudly and pointed at his pants.

"Oh my god! You're disgusting!"

Catherine led Buggy into the living room and quickly ran to the kitchen to grab whiskey, dinner and donuts.

“Anyway, I dug through the papers at the library here and found out that all this history I've been told about and written about in some of the books I looked at today lead back to the story of some blue diamond." She walked from side to side, actively gesticulating.

Buggy moved his head after Catherine.

“It doesn’t give you superpowers, of course. But we can get good money for it. But there’s no map. Everywhere it’s indicated that it’s somewhere in a pyramid. But there are a thousand pyramids in Egypt. It would take us our whole lives to double-check them all." She sat down on the floor, crossing her legs.

“Theoretically, I know one person who can tell us the way. Or maybe even knows where we can get the map.” Buggy said, taking a sip of his whiskey and leaning back on the couch.

“Is this your gray-haired man from the desert?” She mumbled, placing her hands on her leg and her chin on her palms. "Wait. What do you mean “tell”? And what do you mean “us”?" She bulged her eyes at him.

"Well, let's try!" Buggy shrugged.

"Are you serious?"

"Yeah. Why not?” He leaned towards Catherine while sitting on the couch.

"Just you and me?" Catherine pointed at them both.

"Just you and me."

"This means…?"

"This means, baby, that we are going to look for the blue diamond!"

I tried to re-"catch" the feelings I was having from watching Crash Course in Romance.

So, I looked into my deep watchlist and ended up with two very thoroughly enjoyable k-dramas that are re-watchable for a picky watcher like me. This is going to be long so read below if interested about the k-dramas Our Beloved Summer and Reply 1988

our beloved summer

I'm a sucker for slice-of-life stories. while this story navigates through different timelines, it expertly toes the line between the past and the present thus presenting a full growth for each character in this simple yet relatable story. i love the script. i especially love the ost which i listen to every day even after finishing this drama a couple of months back.

our beloved summer, adapted from a webtoon, is the story of Choi Woong and Kook Yoon-seo who became viral after starring in a documentary about the contrast of the top and worst student in their highschool. that alone makes you curious. it's a catchy premise and the whole story manages keep the premise alive until the end.

the story is simple and you can guess where the story is headed. but what made me stay is the pacing and the writing. and it being true to what it set out to do-- to say that love can be found in different people in different times. but there are special moments where you find a different love in the same person at a different time.

i can confidently say that Choi Wooshik and Kim Da-mi are both actors to watch out for. they are not just made for the small screen. they each have such a presence that can't just be contained in a small screen. or maybe i just loved their chemistry so much. it's not even that kind of chemistry where it will grip your heart but it's the work that they put on both characters to make them as authentic as possible. i was drawn in on how they portrayed Woong and Yoon-seo. i was drawn on why they did what they did that led to their eventual *spoilers ahead* break-up and subsequent marriage.

watch this if you're not too heartbroken and you like a slow paced stories that fleshes out human emotions particularly of love-- to a romantic partner, to a mother, to a friend, and to found family.

i particularly loved the way they blindsided me about the reason why Woong was the was he was and why in a way he couldn't open himself up completely to Yoon-seo made me fall in love with the writing. with the sheer amount of content and stories readily available for us to consume, you become so desensitised that it's sometimes a welcomed gift when you don't get to predict what happens in a story.

that particular scene where they get back together and Woong says "...please keep loving me," is engraved in my heart.

--the only downside to this wonderful drama is a 1/4 of a love quadrangle that is too green to handle a wonderful script like this one. you'll know what I'm talking about when you watch it.

2. reply 1988

i don't know what got me drawn to the works of the tandem director Shin Wonho and writer Lee Woo-jung but i am so glad that i am. i started with hospital playlist after seeing so much memes about it and now i can't imagine my life without hosplay (i still watch the whole thing like every month).

but i'm not here to talk about hosplay but the third installment of the critically acclaimed "reply" series.

Reply 1988 is the highest rated in tv ratings among all the "reply" series. and i can totally understand that as this show captures all the tales and woes of each generation.

i can say that the number 1 appeal of the Shin-Lee series' is the nostalgia and the bravery it takes to tackle the simplest yet the most constant worries of a human.

for the 3rd "reply" installment, it goes back to 1988, before the year looked funny (as you will see on one of the episodes). there definitely is something true about that as that's when all the technology in the world started to become accessible.

this show crept up to me (much like Prison Playbook). this was my second attempt at watching it since the first time made me drop it for being too "scream-y" which to be honest, a lot of shows are anyway. but what made me stay were the moms and dads. only did the last few episodes made me notice the actual gang of young misfits.

i loved the way it tackled real-world, real-family problems without being preachy. i love the way the pacing is so slow and nostalgic. i love the way all the families interacted with each other and with the other families.

don't come watching this show for the love story (although i absolutely loved who the main girl character ended up with). come watch this show if you enjoy stories about family dynamics.

--the only thing i didn't like (and this is just totally me), is how the noona who seems to be levelheaded fell in love with an immature child. maybe i was too salty to understand how it all went down but it just wasn't for me.

pee-man yakuza ost review: Kiwami 1 (IT MEANS EXTREME!!)

So since I did a little write-up on the original game's OST and I thought it'd be fun to do it with Kiwami's soundtrack, since I got the original's soundtrack fresh in my mind, and because I haven't actually played the Kiwamis yet. (i've been playing these games in the world's jankiest order don't question it).

So here we are! Since it's my first time fully listening to this, I decided to make this write up a little more complete. And by little more, I mean I wrote about just about every track available to me. Whoops.

I wrote and listened to this over the course of 3 nights, so I'll mark the "sessions" as such if you're curious. I'll also have hyperlinks to all the tracks in their titles for convenience.

This is gonna be a very subjective thing, and I'm gonna make a LOT of comparisons to the original work. I'm sure at least some of my opinions would change if I actually played them in their original, specifically Kiwami context, but for now, here are my thoughts on Yakuza Kiwami's soundtrack. (i don't think there are any major spoilers for most of this post!! though i'll be using a pastebin to talk about the final boss theme so keep that in mind)

Session 1 Receive You Reborn

DUDE.

I love this rendition so much. The revamped, heavy drums. The heavy guitar. THE VOCALIST. I can’t even understand Japanese but they add so so much to the track. I still haven’t played Kiwami myself but I know for a fact this ended up getting cut from the english release because of licensing funnies, and that just sucks, because this song ROCKS. A more than worthy rendition of the original, iconic theme. The lyrics actually make the song reflect into Nishiki instead of the original reflecting to Kiryu, which is just amazing. The lack of the “ROLLING EYES FALL” choir stings a little, sure, but it’s gonna take a lot more than that to take this track down. It’s so good.

極龍の嘶き+ 極龍の胎動 (Roar of the Dragon Redux):

I’m assuming this is the main menu theme, and it’s pretty good at conveying the mood and atmosphere for the story, I feel. It’s quite the haunting melody, and I love those sirens at the very start, referencing the opening scene with Kiryu getting arrested. Pretty cooooooooool.

Renewed Unrest: (Remake of Unrest)

ok but listen to that bassline though. mmmmmmmm.

The original Unrest track is one I’ll definitely remember: Yakuza 1’s atmosphere was one of its greatest strengths in my eyes, and that panic track solidified that a lot during those tense moments in the story. This remake is really good! It still has the strong atmospheric sound of the original, while giving it more instruments to work with. It tells you there’s danger right around the corner, but you don’t know when it’s gonna jump.

迫 (Urgency): I think this is a blow to the city remake? I’m not confident in saying that. But hey, it’s another good, more tense panic theme. Not much to really say here, but I still like it. They use some unique instruments here (my dumbass only really noticed towards the end) and I think they’re awesome and add a lot to the (obvious) urgency of the track.

Funk Goes On 極:

Kiwami!! It means extreme!! This is probably one of the more famous tracks in like… the whole series. I’m pretty sure most of its success is because of Majima Everywhere funnies. Anyways, I think the original wins out here, but Kiwami isn't bad at all. It’s definitely faster paced: whether or not you think that’s a good thing is up to preference, but it does make a distinction between the two. I’m much more preferable to the original’s rocky jazz. It feels more effortlessly badass, y��know? The techno in Kiwami isn’t bad, sure, but I feel it just lacks some of the punch the original had.

Flirt With Bomb: (Remake of son of a gun)

Look how they massacred my boy… My son of a gun (2006)...

Alright, I’m not really being fair with this one, but I just vastly prefer the original. Still though, this is a solid track in its own right. It still gets the hype going, and I just love the buildup at the start. I like how they handled the techno here more than they did Funk Goes On Kiwami, honestly. But again, I just like son of a gun more. Like, way more. I’m getting sad just thinking about it.

Scarlet Scar by Fierce Tiger: (Remake of Scarlet Scar)

Pretty sick, actually! I feel like this matches the original’s energy much more than the last two battle themes did. They even kept the original samples with unintelligible mouth noises and stuff!! And you gotta love those Y1 sirens, I love it when the tracks add that in. The original still feels like the heavier of the two, but this one still stands as an aggressive, raw track to match the Shimano Family’s brutishness. It's a bop either way, that's for sure.

Ideal For Violence: (Remake of Intelligence For Violence)

HELL YEAH DUDE!!

I ADORE this track. I love the guitars. I love the little “YEAH YO!” at the start. I love those crass, vaguely drug-related (probably) unintelligible English vocals, and those guys yelling “YO! YO! YO!” with him. AND THAT SAX. That sax has been stuck in my mind for so long. I like the original Intelligence For Violence, sure, but Ideal is just amazing to me. Why does RGG keep giving Shindo the coolest tracks ever? Hell if I know, but I’m so glad this exists because of it.

Session 2

Get Over It

First completely original song I’m pretty sure, and comments are saying it’s the generic long battle theme. And I think it’s a pretty solid track! It does a good job at setting up the stakes and some of the tragedy of Y1’s fights, and again, I like some of those unique instruments they use. It’s almost trance-like in some sections. And that guitar section in the middle: that’s what really makes the track. It reminds me a lot of Solitude and that atmosphere of that track, and considering that’s one of my absolute favorite tracks in the series, that’s pretty high praise. It sounds dream-like, but still tense as hell and it really gets the blood pumping that way.

キワメシトキ (no translation sorry :C)

Apparently this is the theme for some prototype Extreme Heat/EX Boost/Install Super/Devil Trigger thing in Kiwami? Anyways, not really much to say here. The drums feel heavy I guess, but there’s just not much to this. Can’t imagine hearing it repeatedly either without getting at least somewhat annoyed at it. Meh.

The End of the Dogma: (Remake of End of the Drama)

Alright, I’m feeling this one! I really like how they handled the techno here: the original feel can still definitely be felt strong, while still allowing it to crank it up a notch and be its own thing. The original still feels more raw, which honestly applies to almost all of the remakes, but this one hits hard in its own right. It’s those triple echoes, man. The WAH WAH WAH WAH WAH WAH WAH. I dig this one quite a bit! I’d personally put it on-par with the original.

Pray Me ~Revive~:

they removed most of the unintelligible rap parts 0/10 remake

Look, I can excuse some songs just now quite matching the energy of the original, but I’m just not really on board with Revive. Of all the tracks in the original, Pray Me was probably the rawest sounding, angry track, and Revive tries to match it, but it just… doesn’t do it for me. There are some parts to like, of course: the more orchestral sounding sections near the end are pretty cool. But like…man. I just can’t help but feel a little let down by this one. It should feel like it’s more energetic, but it really doesn’t. It’s honestly not that bad, but compared to the original, it just can’t stand on its own.

Receive You the madtype: (Remake of Receive You the Prototype)

CONFESSION: This is my least favorite of the Majima themes. There’s just something about it to me that I can’t really put my finger on. It just feels like it’s lacking something. Maybe Hyperactive and Subtype just spoiled me in regards to the more techno themes, I don’t know. It’s still good, don’t get me wrong, it’s probably one of the better tracks out of the OST so far, but man. I’m sorry I can’t explain it, I really am, but it just feels off to me. Cannot emphasize this enough, it’s still an actually pretty damn good song, but it’s just not for me personally with the competition it has to stand up to. Maybe I’ll warm up to it the more I listen to it like I did with Subtype, but for now, I think it’s the weakest Majima theme.

Virtical Point: (Remake of Turning Point)

I don’t know why they named it like that with the typo. Anyways, Turning Point is probably my favorite track in the original game, so I also walked into this one with pretty high expectations. And after listening to it, I honestly can’t really compare the two. But I can say I did quite like the track. I can feel the sorrow and the overall mood of the original more, but this one is literally just rave music. And I like Yakuza’s literally just rave music tracks, so…

I can’t really say how much this would fit the big fight it plays in, because again, I haven't actually played the Kiwamis. But as a track, Virtical Point’s a hell of a vibe. I’m not saying it's completely devoid of that feeling the original had, the build-up sections are amazing, but I feel like they trade some of that for just pure techno blast. And I love those drops with the “FEEL THE FORCE” and “FEEL THE POWER''s. I’m glad this is probably what led them to create Rake Your Inside, which is very awesome and cool and swag.

Ogre Has Reborn: (Remake of Ogre Has Returned)

Don’t really know if this is gonna surprise anyone, but this is actually a remake of a Yakuza 3 track! Lau just used the generic boss theme in the original game.

Anyways, this track’s interesting, because it sounds more… triumphant, more than anything? It’s really badass in a pretty unique way in that aspect. The first half conveys the intimidation part well, but the second half just sounds amazing. The original track does that too, and honestly I think it sounds better there, but here it feels more refined and even graceful. I dig the little Chinese motifs too, of course. Pretty dope track overall. It’s all ogre now.

The Wicked:

Another original track, and I can probably appreciate this one more than usual because I don’t have the nightmares it seems to be associated with.

I quite like this one! Like the last track, it feels triumphant: it’s one last, herculean push to the finish line. The piano and string sections convey that really well, but it still exposes the wickedness of the other side. It still feels menacing, like evil itself. The choir actually fulfills both roles perfectly, too. The techno doesn’t feel too overbearing either, which can be a bit of a problem with the OST at times.

Cool song that I’ll be glad to remember just as a cool song and not whatever nightmare boss fight Kiwami players had to sit through.

Final Boss Theme pastebin: (spoilers, obviously)

Lunatic Warrior (Remake of Fiercest Warrior from Ishin!)WHERE’S THE “afloi” AT THE START????

Anyways, pretty cool track. It’s against some VERY stiff competition to me (I adore the Amon themes), and while I don’t think it’s quite as good as they are, this one still slaps. This is Kiryu and Amon’s (technically) first meeting, and it makes sense that it wouldn’t really be as menacing as stuff like K2’s Fiercest Warrior, for example. The main melody’s catchy and the choir remains amazing. And while it’s not AS menacing as some other Fiercest Warriors, it still fits that quota pretty well. This track has a lot of energy to it, which I appreciate. Plus they got the sirens back. I love the sirens.

TAKUMI 2016 (Remake of TAKUMI 2009 from Yakuza 3)

I’ll have to admit that I wasn’t really a fan of the TAKUMI themes for a while, then I listened to 0’s again, and suddenly I think they’re awesome now. Anyways, this one’s definitely up there with 1988. This goes prettttyyyyyyyyy hard. I love the graceful mix of the traditional bits with the intense techno breaks: it makes for a pretty one-of-a-kind track while still being sick and feeling heavy. Pretty neat!

Also it sounds like a song from one of the rhythm games I play (Rhythm Doctor) so it gets bonus points for reminding me of another game I really like.

Amusing Octagon:

I knew this track from before this session because of a meme with Walter White complaining about not being able to play Yakuza Kiwami OST - 20 Amusing Octagon or something

It sounds like a Tekken track. Like, you could slap this onto some random character select screen and it’d probably fit perfectly. This hits pretty hard! It fits the colosseum vibe really well and just sounds great on top of that. It’s a fun track. Amusing, even. Maybe even Yakuza Kiwami OST - 20 Amusing Octagon or something

Session 3

Ruthless Octagon:

It’s a mean track. Ruthless, even. Maybe even uhhhhhh

I think Amusing’s the better Octagon here but this one’s decent too. I’m gonna assume this is what plays for final rounds, and it does a good job at conveying that last push feeling. It’s heavy, it gets the blood pumping, and again, fits the colosseum vibe like a glove. I've been told they used this for K2's colosseum too, and overall they made a pretty good choice for a track to bring back for it!

Set My Heart:

I have literally no idea what this plays for. It sounds like another character select screen to me. Anyways, really fun track! It’s short, sure, but it’s a funky little beat the whole time and doesn’t overstay its welcome. And I love those brass sections, making it even better. It’s just a short little vibe, and it doesn’t really need to be anything more than that.

Everlasting Spirit:

This is randomly super catchy. Again, absolutely no idea what it plays for, but it’s a real earworm…

This sounds like something that would play while Kiryu busts a move with a completely straight face the whole time. I’d probably be dancing with him, too. Cool song! Gotta love that percussion.

In a Dead Heat:

Now this one sounds like a customization menu theme for a racing game. Probably pocket circuit, if I’d have to guess. I really dig the guitar riffs they use here. It’s just a cool, short upbeat track to get you ready to very excitedly scream at toy cars.

Beastie Beat:

This one sounds really arcade-y, in a good way! It’s really fun and even feels a little nostalgic. Again, I dig the guitar riffs they use in this one. This definitely makes me want to very excitedly scream at toy cars.

Smack In The Forest:

Sounds like a more intense version of the last track, like a final-lap scenario. It’s definitely more energetic and the guitar feels heavier. Something something scream at toy cars. Good track. I want to make out with pocket circuit fi

As a Memory:

I know for a FACT this plays in Yakuza 5. I can’t remember exactly when, but I’ve definitely heard it in there. Probably with Haruka.

That aside, the track’s a little repetitive, but still pretty fun. It’s just a little something to maybe bop your head to for a few. I like the strong bassline throughout, it really adds a lot to the vibe.

TONIGHT-restart from this night-【Full Spec Edition】:

I’m playing through 6 right now and I recently got to experience playing this song for the first time. You can’t do this to me RGG

It’s no secret Takaya Kuroda’s a great singer, but man… He really poured his soul out for this track. You can really just feel all the sorrow Kiryu’s had to bottle up. That chorus just hits so hard.

意地桜 (Iji Sakura) 2000 [Full Spec Edition]:

I’ve listened to the Ishin version and I just like the more traditional, heartfelt ballad that one was, but this one just steers into a completely different direction and I just can’t dislike it for that. The instrumental is way more badass than it really has any right to be, lmao. This track makes me want to go outside and very angrily pluck out turnips from the ground. That chorus is just unbeatable in either version, and is very easily my favorite part of the song. Not really a karaoke song that I’ll be blasting on repeat, but it’s a pretty cool track nonetheless.

ばかみたい哀愁 Baka Mitai ~Sorrow~ [Full Spec Edition]:

I had no idea Kiwami had a Baka Mitai remix! I was completely expecting to just skip this one because it’s… well, it’s Baka Mitai. Who in this community hasn’t heard it a million times?

So it’s an acoustic cover with some strings slapped on there for good measure. I think the original still stands superior, but it’s still really neat that this gets to exist alongside it. It amplifies the sorrow a bit more (I mean I'd hope so from “Baka Mitai ~Sorrow~), and obviously Kuroda’s cover of Baka Mitai is legendary at this point. This was more or less destined to sound good no matter what, and again, it’s just really cool that this exists.

Ishin spec still better though don’t @ me

Moment de la Petite Sirene 刹那の人魚姫 (Heartbreak Mermaid) [Full Spec Edition]:

JAN! JAN! JAN! JAN!

This song caught me off-guard: it’s pretty damn good! I’m admittedly a sucker for this kind of music, and I honestly prefer this version to the original’s. It’s catchy, sounds a little nostalgic, and also has Spanish guitar. And Spanish guitar is always a win. The singer’s also pretty good, she really adds to the more laid back feeling this track has. It sounds like something I’d have blasting in my headphones while doing grocery shopping at 9AM. It just has that kind of vibe, I can’t really describe it in another way.

ユーロde×3シャイン (x3 SHINE) [Full Spec Edition]:

Maybe a little too energetic for my tastes, I think the original does better here, but this isn’t a bad rendition. It’s just the chorus which is my problem, though. The original has such a memorable, fun chorus, but here it’s just not as strong. It might just be I find Yuki to be a way better vocalist, but eh. It feels like it loses itself a little with going all in with the energy.

オトメタルmy life (Otometal my life) [Full Spec Edition]:

I love how split this track is. You got a guitar just FIGHTING FOR ITS LIFE in there, and Haruka just singing sweetly. No seriously, the instrumental’s so sick in this one. Haruka’s honestly a really good vocalist, and Kiryu just hyping his daughter up by putting his ALL into screaming for her is amazing as well. It’s so stupid, and it dedicates 100% effort to it anyways, and that results in this insane, fun karaoke song. Also completionists apparently hate this song for some reason, which I find very comedic.

10/10. I thought it was “oatmeal” at first. Also made me forget this actually showed up in Yakuza 4 first. This one's cooler though

in conclusion and stuff

Overall, I'm pretty mixed on Kiwami's soundtrack. There are a couple of songs, while not bad, just don't really compare to the original. The techno direction isn't inherently bad (look at LJ, 0, LAD, those all have amazing music), but Kiwami can definitely go a little overboard with it, souring some songs.

That being said, Kiwami still has no shortage of just fantastic tracks. Ideal For Violence is literally the best thing ever, for example. The original tracks are pretty strong too, with Get Over It and The Wicked being tracks that really caught my attention. The karaoke selection's a nice little bonus too, basically being a remix selection, which is just fun.

Maybe I'd like Kiwami's soundtrack more if it didn't have to directly compare the whole thing to the original, but for what it's worth, I still think it has a very solid OST overall. RGG's composers are just on another level honestly

Since I had a lot of fun making this, I'll probably end up going wildly off-course for my original plan for these and just start doing full soundtrack write-ups. Oh well. I'll probably take a look at Kenzan's next, if that's the case. Until then, thanks for reading me ramble about video game osts for awhile :)

I see. I'm definitely curious about Wicked so I'll read it soon! Didn't know there was a whole tagline thing. Very cool. Yeah there's a lot going on with Thorn. I'm thinking of the bath scene where the censors show up. I wonder if it's like that when Thorn is alone too. I looked into some of the flower imagery. Was a fun little read. Could've made some guesses about the characters' traumas earlier. It's really neat how much they incorporated into the visuals. Like there's so much jank in the presentation of the game but when they wanted to nail something they got it. I can see wanting to leave the ending more open but its not like the scenes show everyone 100% happy and fine. I kinda like how it's a lot of small moments. Some happy, some sad. Wouldn't have complained if it just ended with the WIRE messages though. The meeting was cute! Gonna be listening to the OST for a while I imagine. Been letting the game sit in my head and I'm definitely feeling better about most of it. Probably because I don't have to play it anymore. Thank you! I've enjoyed this back and forth too! I'll be back for Caligula 2! No idea when that'll be though.

what got me into Doom? well i wish i could remember re: the game... rather than re: the entire Thing as a whole... *major infodump incoming*

so there's NuDoom, 2016-2020, with a lot more lore than the original lore which the original 90s games involved (there was not all that much to begin with, but there was Some story, ya feel? Doomguy gets sent to hell for reasons, he doesn't just wind up there for no reason, etc etc)

and i am thinking back as we speak, and unlocking my own lore which i've almost forgotten about! hehe

i remember now. so a prologue: i'm limited by what games i can actually play due to unfortunate eyesight/neurological/brainproblems, and NuDoom is one of those sadly (lots of bright colours when u kill a demon, complex lotsa-polygon shapes- as apposed to Just Pixels From 30yrs Ago- the modern-day latter of which very sadly do not compute with me noggin', so it's obvious what iteration of Doom i leaned towards (THAT AND THE REPLAYABILITY OF CUSTOM .WADS BASED OFF THE 90S GAMES WHICH THE COMMUNITY HAS MADE... OMFG THE *CREATIVITY* OF THIS COMMUNITY!!! WOOOOOOOOOOW SO GOOD /genuine)

death grips has been pretty much one of, if not Thee Number One Fav Band for me since 2016, coincidentally. i got recc'ed them by a friend irl at the time, back when i was still a Normal level of social and not reclusive. I listened to probably their most popular album, The Money Store, (and then branched out to their other stuff from there because i loved it) which i would recommend to anybody as a "pay it forward" kind of music rec. i think anybody has that kind of music saved in their metaphorical pocket. a must-listen album you'd rec to anyone. yeah, the money store is one of those albums for me.

but yeh. i was juuuuust getting into metal, tentatively, back in 2016. i love it and the many iterations of metal now, but i listened to the doom soundtrack a lot as an intro to the genre. it does help loving OSTs and mashups as music genres on youtube before that generally, but the 2016 soundtrack is definitively the thing what got me into Doom for sure.

i AM old enough to remember dial-up internet and floppy discs and what-have-ya, all that sexy paraphernlia, but my intro to Doom was as an old. i mean i'm not far off being as old as Doom itself! i was 25 when i decided to buy the original doom on steam to give it a try in late 2020, for 2020-related reasons. you know. bit old to get into gaming, but i'm glad i did :) it's opened the door for other games now.

Doom is a gateway drug, let it be known!

☆ She's transfem and nonbinary (uses she/they/vee pronouns), she's also ace lesbian and demiromantic

☆ she has periods where she gets really depressed and can't get out of bed (she'll be in it for days on end) and eventually one of her friends will find out (whether that be Nemona and Arven or Team Star) and will call up the rest of them and they all come into her dorm to help her out and keep her company

☆ for the longest time I was convinced she had naturally blue hair, that still stands despite it being practically confirmed that she's related to peony. I actually hc her as being related to Melli (and ykw it's not totally impossible since Melli is from like thousands of years ago, he could easily be a part of the peony tree).

☆ She has a major crush on Nemona (she tries to hide it but it's clear as day)

☆ All of her veevees have nicknames (the only one I've actually figured out a name for was Sylvia the Sylveon).

☆ (this part may or may not be canon but I'm putting it in anyways) she doesn't battle with her veevees that often and would rather just have them as pets. When she was preparing for the final battle at the end of operation Starfall, she last minute trained her team by throwing a TM at each of them. The only moves relating to their types came from their evolutions and she never bothered to teach them anything else. (I think you can tell I got this one from replicating her team)

☆ she loves cuddles (platonic or romantic) but she'd never ever admit that. She's absolutely touch starved and basically the moment a friend or crush starts cuddling her, she'll never let go.

☆ she wears the same oversized hoodies and leggings a lot, but occasionally she'll get a wave of motivation and actually make herself look decent and dress aesthetically (she goes between soft and alt aesthetics).

☆ she's played and watched all of the "weird kid" games (Minecraft, undertale, fnaf, etc). She's also been a gacha kid and has made animation memes. Also, she was once one of THOSE mha fans. She shockingly dodged DSMP like a bullet. Also she plays Animal Crossing and has a really nice island that she still takes the time to take care of.

☆ she owns so. Many. Plushies. If you gift her a plushie you're literally her absolute favorite person automatically (it's kinda the same thing if you give her snacks, instant ramen, or energy drinks)

☆ she's an age regressor and also a caregiver (a flip) (I have a whole bunch of hcs going more into detail about that here if you're curious).

☆ She drinks a fuck load of caffeine (coffee, pop, and energy drinks specifically) to stay awake after pulling all-nighters, but like she doesn't get hyper off of them.

☆ she listens to pretty much any kind of music. She likes Melanie Martinez, video game osts, rock/metal/alt music, "fandom" songs (like Join Us for a Bite, Senpai Notice Me, etc.).

I think that's all I can say off the top of my head. I have a few about other characters but I'm saving you and also I can't think of them rn due to using all of my brain power on the Penny ones FJSJAK

Hi I am back with another Kazuha brainrot fic hehe

This happens after Lumine talks to Kazuha on the last day of the Irodori Festival. Oh and, if you really want to get the feel of this fic, listen to the track Hanachirusato of the Inazuma OST album. Enjoy my loves!!

"Oh, Paimon, there's something I forgot to tell Kazuha. You can go ahead. I'd love it if you can pick up some Dango Milk for us to enjoy later. I'll catch up!" Lumine told her companion and handed her some mora for the milk.

"No problemo! I'll buy some snacks for us as well! But make it quick or I might eat all of it!" Paimon teased, and Lumine chuckled. Paimon flew away, and Lumine went back to Kazuha, who had a curious look on his face.

"What is it, Lumine? Is something the matter?" The samurai queried. He didn't know what to expect, considering how there wasn't anything else to talk about.

"How long will you be staying in Inazuma?" Lumine started. That definitely wasn't something Kazuha expected to hear, but he replied nonetheless.

"In 3 days time. I still have to settle things with Kujou Sara about the Kaedehara clan's belongings, and then I'll be off again. Why do you ask?" He went straight to the point. Lumine smiled and pulled out her map. She pointed to a certain spot in Kannazuka.

"If it's not a bother, can you meet me here the night before you go? Before sunset. I have... Something I want to show you." She looked up and her gold orbs were met with crimson ones, a mix of wonder and excitement in them. Kazuha smiled and gave a small nod.

"Of course. You are not, and never will be a bother to me, Lumine." Nothing but honesty in his words, yet it didn't fail to make Lumine's cheeks flush pink which made for Kazuha's amusement. She smiled before turning away.

"I'll see you then, Kazuha!"

Kazuha arrived at the spot right on time. The area Lumine pointed on the map was just along the beach of Kannazuka. There was a small camp waiting for him when he arrived. Lumine came out of a tent quietly, and she seemed to have spotted him as she smiled brightly and put a finger on her lips, signaling to stay quiet. Her other hand beckoned for him to follow her, and he did as he was told. He followed her just shy of the camp and closer to the water. Lumine breathed a sigh of relief and turned to Kazuha.

"Paimon's taking a nap right now, and I really didn't want us to be disturbed for tonight." Oh? It made Kazuha's curiosity go higher. This whole endeavor was curious enough, and now Lumine wanted the both of them alone? He was startled out of his thoughts when Lumine gasped and turned to look at the beach before them. He followed suit, and what he witnessed was something he never thought he'd see in this lifetime. The sun went down, and everything went dark, then slowly, little patches of light emerged from the shore, creating an illusion of stars. He had only heard of this phenomenon, but never got the chance to see it for himself until today. He was taking in the scenery before he was distracted by shuffling beside him. Lumine was removing her shoes, and walked to the water. She checked for the temperature, and when she was satisfied, she went in with her feet, feeling the cool water splash around. It left Kazuha at awe. She was absolutely breathtaking. It left his mouth gaping. She was shining under the moonlight, the illuminated beach as her stage, and he couldn't take his eyes off of her. His mind was suddenly filled with thoughts of her.

Ethereal. Oh to the Archons, what did I do to deserve this her?

"Hey, Kazuha! What're you waiting for? Come on, join me!" He snapped out of his thoughts as Lumine beckoned him to the shore. He flushed pink and cleared his throat. He removed his shoes and socks, and proceeded to the water. He smiled with satisfaction, the water's coolness just right to his preference.

"Isn't it wonderful? Paimon and I discovered this area when we were out doing bounty work for the Yashiro Commission. I just thought, well, since you're here in Inazuma, I wanted you to take some time off, you know? The thing with your clan is probably taking a toll on you so this could be a good change of scenery before you leave. And, well, you see... I wanted to spend more time with you before you left... So I- huh-" Lumine was interrupted by a hand pulling on hers, and a pair of warm lips taking refuge on her forehead. Her face took a shade of red, and Kazuha's hand on hers only tightened.

You never ceased to amaze me, Lumine.

"Thank you. I shall cherish this moment forever, even after we part ways tomorrow, Lumine." Kazuha whispered, holding the traveler in an embrace. Despite being flustered, she smiled. "I'm glad." When they parted, a splash of water hit her legs, and she saw how Kazuha smirked mischievously.

"Hey!" She chuckled and returned the action back. Soon after they were prancing in the water, splashing each other without a care in the world. As if they were the only ones there, in their own special world. It was only after hearing a scream in the distance did they stop, and realized they were drenched. The pair stared at each other for a moment, and laughed. Not only were they wet, they were getting cold, too. Lumine started to walk back to the shore when Kazuha caught her hand and laced their fingers together. He had such a carefree smile and a tint of pink of his cheeks. Lumine couldn't help but blush as well as she tightened their hands together, and they walked back to the shore to a very concerned Paimon.

When Lumine woke up the next day, the samurai can no longer be found anywhere. Only what’s left of him was a letter placed on top of his pillow.

I must apologize first and foremost, as I kept to myself the time of my leave from Inazuma. I left before the sun rose, as it was the only available time for the boats going to Liyue. However, when you asked me to come join you that day, I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to spend more time with you. I would forever hold the memory from last night the closest to my heart, Lumine. I’ve written you haikus that hold the words I’ve wanted to speak to you for the longest of time.

THE PARALLEL BETWEEN JIN LING BEING A LIFELINE FOR JIANG CHENG AND A-YUAN FOR LAN WANGJI AFTER THE BATTLE AT THE NIGHTLESS CITY

and like . the fact! that lwj and jc dislike each other!!. jc projects blame onto him for wwx both “leaving” him and indirectly causing their families deaths and when hes so consumed by it he makes wwx an enemy, lwj is there now? trying to protect him?? and lwj, who can never understand the pain that wwx , indirectly or not put jc through, but who was right there when jc tried to kill him and will never allow him to hurt wwx again. and how they like. in a way project blame of their tragedies onto each other while dealing with some type of survivor guilt and in their own way still loving wwx through it all??? amd in way its kind of fundamentally selfish but also tragically understandable? and like when u put it against the fact that after he disappears during the sunshot campaign they were looking for him together and fought together??

JUST. THE CHARACTERS. AND THE RELATIONSHIPS IN THIS. MAN. UGH. GOD.

and like i think thats what makes it so good? its such a sad and painful and violent story, edgy even, but its compelling bc at the center of it there are all of these relationships and different types of love and hope and. :( i love it

Hope for the future

”Whatever Happened to Robot Jones?” Fanfiction: Polyneux, 1998

Chapter 4: Exploration

RJ sat there like that for a while. Afraid, bewildered, and strangely curious. After all, it was in his code. Studying middle school children was his job before, and it only heightened that curiosity. As he analyzed the room he was in, he was drawn to certain appliances and objects. After slowing down his internal processors and gaining some small bits of what was left of his confidence, he attempted to stand up. His leg joints groaned and squeaked as they moved on their own after more than a decade of rest. Robot wobbled on them, slightly extending his equally as neglected arms out as an attempt to keep balance. The robot sighed in relief at the attempt working, until he tried to take a step. He beeped in dismay as he slipped on his own feet and fell on his face. His charging cord that was still plugged into the wall popped out in the process, falling onto the dog bed. Robot groaned and looked back to the plug, sitting up.

“It seems I forgot to unplug from this charging port. Any attempt at walking would not have worked out anyways” he shook his head at his own forgetfulness and retracted the cord. The shock from this whole situation was really getting to him, understandably so. He stood up once more and tried to take a few strides. Luckily this time around it was more successful for the little robot, but he still took a few missteps and shook on his aging legs. He approached the messy work table on the other side of the garage and noticed all the metal parts and tools. He cringed at how unorganized it was, knowing a human was likely responsible for it. Robot then looked at the door close by.

“I wonder…” He trailed off as he approached it and ran his claw over the doorknob. He briefly watched some specks of rust fall from the joint of his hand in the process. RJ honestly didn’t know what it expect. He hypothesized that he was in a human’s residence due to the mess of the garage. He’s never met a robot that was that inefficient in keeping things tidy, maybe besides himself occasionally. Now he was mainly concerned to what kind of person could live here. Robot shook his head a bit when quite a few negative ideas popped up in his mind to explain the circumstances. No, he needed to keep his thoughts logical. That’s what his mom-unit said when he’d worry about the humans he had to face in junior high.

“Illogical ideas such as those will not assist in your studies, little robot. Remember to replace those with more realistic and logical thoughts” RJ said out loud, quoting his mother. That only seemed to make him question and think more about his parents’ whereabouts, but he decided to archive those questions in his memory banks. He was still yet to fully process his environment and the possible humans or robots. Jones closed his eyes, and twisted the bulbous handle. The door creaked open to reveal a small hallway and another entrance at the end. The door there was slightly open, exposing what appeared to be a bed among other things. To the left of that room, he saw the hallway lead out to a living room and kitchen that was attached to it. RJ gulped and took careful steps and scanned all the unfamiliar objects. He had a lot to take in.

Dusk started to fall, and RJ was still becoming more adjusted to the home. No one seemed to be in the house, as he has checked all the rooms. It was only him. Robot was fascinated in the advances in technology, and played around with many of the appliances. He will admit to making a bit of a mess when he was caught up in his curiosity. The kitchen cabinets were all wide open, pots and pans where on the floor; the slots for the toaster were covered in burnt bread crumbs from the amount of bread he decided to toast. An empty bread bag was next to the appliance, meaning he had gone through an entire loaf. He found he had worked up a huge appetite. He even collected some of the nuts and bolts on the floor of the garage to put on his toast to consume. The pillows on the sofas in the living room were displaced, and now RJ was currently digging in a small storage closet connected to the room. What caught is eye was a boombox. He quickly pulled it out of the closet and placed it on the coffee table by the couch. He felt a wave of nostalgia hit him when he got a good look at the old music player. After all, he was quite familiar with boomboxes. RJ remembers seeing them a lot back in the day. He pushed on the power button, and was shocked to see it actually turn on. The seemed to be nothing in the player as it was quiet though. He pondered and went to search through the closet again. Eventually he found some tapes. Robot sucked through them, and picked out the one with a sticker labeled “Cocoon OST”. The name Cocoon sounded familiar, so that’s what led to him sticking it into the awaiting cassette player. RJ then pushed the play button, and listened to the boombox start to play it. Jones began to realize that the cassette’s name was familiar because it had the soundtrack for the movie “Cocoon” on it, which released in 1985. The same year he was deactivated. He recalled watching it with his friends at the movie theater. RJ then seemed to pale. His friends. Where were they?

He shook his head and skipped some of the music that sounded just like background music for the scenes of the film. Eventually he landed on one that made him light up. He heard the singer chant “gravity” a few times, then a very electronic beat along with guitar riffs kicked in. He felt a lot of his negative thoughts temporarily leave as he listened. It reminded him of the kinds of music he’d hear back in the 80s as well. Back when things were normal. Robot closed his eyes and began to daydream along with the music. He imagined himself in a funky music video, playing along to the music with a keyboard. He saw himself with cool shades and a windbreaker as well. Jones tapped his feet, began to dance, and got caught up in the world he created. Music was always therapeutic for the little robot. He used it in many ways to calm down and gain his composure, like when he was angry, sad or simply just wanted to forget reality for a while. RJ was completely immersed in the melody, and he finally felt genuine familiarity and happiness since he activated again. While he vibes in his little world, he didn’t notice the sound of a door opening. To be more specific, the front door to the house.

Go Back Couple made me cry it was so sweet and wholesome ;-;;; and it was really clever too! And I thought it said a lot about people it really made me think about how we really see only one or two sides of someone else in a relationship. I saw Hospital Playlist at the start of quarantine and I spent the whole time just being “I miss my friends!!” bc it has such beautiful friendships and platonic relationships (and cute romances too)

Also if you have more recs please share bc once this quarter finishes I really want to watch more dramas I’m collecting recs ^^

ooooh, i just read the plot of go back couple and i’m so curious, and i’ve added it to my to watch lost! and yessss, i’ve been meaning to watch hospital playlist! i think i watched the first 10 minutes of the first episode, but i never got around to continuing, but i most certainly will resume my watch once finals finish for me too :’))

oh yes, but as for more recs...well, there’s this list that i compiled a few months back, but since then, i’ve been thinking of other kdramas i’ve watched and liked, so...below the cut!

1. penthouse (1 & 2, renewed for a season 3, which will be coming in june!)

where to watch: viki (although with some kind of plus plan, but if you don’t have plus,,,here’s a place where you could theoretically watch)

favorite track on the ost: idk, i haven’t really been paying attention to the ost because like...this kdrama is also so incredibly focused on opera / classical music, and it’s actually introduced me to a lot of wonderful pieces, one of my faves being mozart’s die zauberflote.

listen: it usually takes me a hysterically long time to get through a new kdrama, but i was so invested that i got through the first season (complete with 21 episodes!)n within like,,,two or three weeks, and i have about 3 episodes left of the second season (which has 13 episodes!). this kdrama is just that good. it’s basically about these families living at this super fancy apartment complex called hera palace (which is fitting...hera, the queen of the gods, also the goddess of maternity...). honestly, there’s so much going on in this kdrama that it’s kind of hard to explain everything that happens, but essentially, the show opens up with the murder of a young orphan girl and works backwards from there. we learn about each of the families’ secrets, ambitions, and some really shocking twists and turns along the way.

honestly, i’m surprised by how much i love this kdrama. there aren’t a whole ton of likable characters--literally almost every character is deeply flawed and obvious about it, but honestly, the complexity and layers built into each character is worth it. we really see how environments shape people, especially with each of the family’s children. we see all these moralities clash with each other, and we see how greed and ambition can muddy those waters, even amongst the children. i’ve been super enjoying season 2 especially, because we’re learning even more, not to mention that i’ve been so surprised by the level of character development going on here. i won’t spoil anything, but like...it’s wonderful and impressive, and i cannot believe this kdrama has me actually rooting for certain characters. also, on another note: this kdrama does a lot with addressing exactly how far a parent would go for their kid--and it’s bonkers and wonderful. honestly...an addictive kdrama, full of suspense and drama and with deeply complex characters.

a fair warning: this kdrama is rated r, although i’m learning that rated r in south korea would probably pass off as pg-13 in the us--there’s more explicit scenes of violence, really harsh bullying, murder (of course), and implied sex scenes (nothing ever shown, very much a “camera pulls away” situation).

2. pinocchio

where to watch: viki

favorite track to the ost: pinocchio by roy kim

okay, this kdrama is...just really sweet, and again: i liked it a lot more than i thought i would? it’s a little older, like it started airing in 2014--but i just...really liked it. it’s about these two people from separate families (but they grow up together under the same roof, it’s a whole complicated thing), and both of them become reporters. the only issue is that one of the characters has pinocchio syndrome, which is basically that she can’t tell a lie without hiccupping. you’d think this makes for a goofy drama because of that, but this kdrama def. has a lot of heavyhanded/serious moments. it’s so weird to think this kdrama aired in 2014, just because i think a lot of the themes--all of them about truth and what counts as the truth especially in journalism--feel still so relevant today.

this kdrama also has a lot to say about generational trauma/the burdens we inherit from our parents and our older siblings, and it also has a lot of stuff about taking responsibility for the sins of our parents, etc. it’s so wonderfully and beautifully done, and i’m honestly...again, surprised by just how deeply they ran with this concept. the romance is also cute, although i’ll def. admit there’s some stuff that still makes me “???” but overall, i really enjoyed the actors’ chemistry with each other, and i was still satisfied with the ending!

3. fight for my way

where to watch: viki

favorite track on the ost: i don’t think this kdrama has too much of an ost? and i don’t think i was paying attention to the ost in this kdrama either, oops

i’m still watching this kdrama / have i think 5 episodes left of this kdrama, but i’ve been really enjoying it so far! it’s following the story of these four twentysomethings, and they all have these big dreams for themselves. unfortunately, they’re also twentysomethings, and achieving their dreams is...kind of hard. honestly, this kdrama is just so wholesome, and it has its serious moments, but i really love it. the friendships in this kdrama are solid, and the romance is super sweet, and it’s very much so the classic childhood friends to lovers that just makes me :’))

also, just like...it’s hopeful. and empowering. and just like, seeing characters go “i know this is hard for me to achieve and i know it would make so much more sense for me to just sit down with my head low and quietly accept where i am, but i’m going to pursue my dream anyways” just...idk, i feel like it’s a kdrama that a lot of young dreamers can relate to, and i really need to finish this kdrama, but it’s...really sweet and relatable.

4. space sweepers

where to watch: netflix

okay, so this isn’t a kdrama, but i need to rec this movie because it’s...so good. this is a science fiction film following this crew of...space sweepers. basically, earth is now uninhabitable/unsafe to live in, and the wealthy are all living on a repurposed mars. (bro doesn’t that sound familiar?)

in order to get money, a lot of people risk their lives by cleaning up debris still floating around orbit. these people are known as space sweepers, and they’re basically space janitors, only with a lot more flying and swearing. this crew winds up accidentally getting ahold of this mysterious child, who may or may not have a huge bounty on her head. i won’t go any deeper than that, but...this movie is so wonderful for its found family elements, and each character has such an interesting background, and i’m honestly surprised by how this movie went so deep into each character in such a short amount of time? (although honestly i would 1000/10 want a netflix series following each character’s lives just because)

admittedly, there’s some issues i have with this movie--like, idk, one character wears dreadlocks, and i’m just :/// about that, because :///// it really shows that south korea isn’t exempt from cultural appropriation. i still like the character, and i still like the movie overall, but that’s just a heads-up.

but besides that, this movie is really good at showing how sometimes the villain is just a wealthy old white dude, and sometimes family can really just be a ragtag team of outcasts, and sometimes it is really the younger generation that can literally bring hope and etc. it’s very much :’))

and that’s all i’ve got! thank u for asking me about kdramas, because...as you can tell: many thoughts.

Shownu: Beauty+ Interview

Shownu is a bit unique. He has almost no desire and strong ambition that is common in the entertainment industry. He's not overly excited and doesn't brag about the promotions in America that heated up overseas press in the beginning of this year.

"(I want) to have a beer with our members after successfully finishing our schedule" is all he says. On KakaoTV's <Face ID> Minhyuk said: "I don't know what kind of person he is. He seems pretty busy but doesn't really do anything, he's mysterious." He said it jokingly but he's not actually wrong. He does his best and with no complaints accepts all the work given to him, just like an athlete. In this era where vanity is "eating up" the society his healthy and honest appearance might look mysterious to someone. Especially if a person doubts "could a human, who is exactly the way he looks from the outside, actually exist". You should meet Shownu. He doesn't really hate anything. It's faster if we just talk to him about the things he likes. He likes baseball hats, cars, games and analog (things). He recently watched <Fight Club> and liked it. "Brad Pitt's character remains in my memory. It was interesting how he expressed the fictitious character. The movie was also visually fresh." "Did you watch the movie because you paid homage to it in the ‘Love Killa’ MV?" "No."(laugh) Do you know what I mean?

After watching <Face ID> I noticed you have a lot of apps on your phone and you're subscribed to a lot of youtube channels. How would you explain your day with apps, youtube content etc.? SH: When I wake up in the morning I listen to youtube music mix whether I am going somewhere or I'm exercising.‘R&B pop to enjoy a drowsy afternoon’‘Chill hip hop that makes your dirty corner of the room seem hip’ etc., it depends, I choose the one I like at the moment.I also listen to this before sleep. I also watch exercise knowledge or diet management videos on youtube a lot. I practice doing it when I need to take care of myself more. There are times we play games with members too. In the evening I watch 20-minute movie summary of an originally 2 hour long movie. Recently I've been watching a lot of cooking videos too.

You released 3rd full album <Fatal Love> and promoted song ‘Love Killa’. How would you rate this album and stage? SH: I got hurt here and there a lot in the past but this time not only me but also all of the members had no injuries, we were able to finish with no problems so I'm happy. Our fans loved it too. I especially like that ‘Love Killa’ has a clearer concept when compared to our past tracks. MV had a theme too. I think we expressed the precise colours of our music and stage well. The choreography wasn't stronger or more agressive than in the past, but we stood on stage with more confidence than ever. This gave us power while promoting.

Where does that confidence come from? SH: Should I say we took a bit more of a relaxed approach this time, our image is not as strong as it was in our past releases. Love Killa's colour is clear so we discussed between us a lot and while practicing it we gained a lot of confidence. I feel like our understanding of the song got better.

If you watch ‘Love Killa’ stage you can see only Shownu wears a crop top now and then, whose decision was it? SH: I never said I was gonna wear a short jacket.(laugh) I think it was on the MV set when I first wore the jacket and it was short. Rather than saying I was the only one wearing a special outfit, we all wore different clothes. Someone wore a crop top, someone only wore a jacket with no shirt inside it, someone a shirt with tattoo patterns, someone covering all with a turtleneck.

Since your debut Monsta X got a lot of attention for lifting shirts and showing abs on stage, what do you think about that kind of performance? Do you have the confidence that this is Monsta X's colour? SH: While thinking about music colour, ideas like ‘how would it look like if we show some skin here, what about a tattoo shirt in this part’ pop up, so we decide on a performance we think would suit our song the most. It'd be nice if you think of it as an artistic approach to match the song's vibe. I never thought it doesn't fit well or that it feels foreign.

Monsta X always shows a strong energy on stage, but what about practice, how powerful is it? SH: Not as powerful/strict as you'd think. It's much better to dance to the song twice than doing it 10 times alone in the practice room. That way I get more energy and that kind of practice is more effective. Tension goes up when someone is doing the same movements next to you. That doesn't really happen no matter how much you practice in front of a mirror alone. I get exhausted quickly if I dance alone.

What do you mostly have in mind when dancing on stage? SH: If there is a move I don't like when practising, I concentrate on it and practice that part more. But after that I don't really think about it on stage (anymore). I only think about how I'll do it in the practice room. If I overexaggerate and try too much on stage it's rather a failure. It also doesn't look pretty.

Do you believe in yourself this much because you know you practiced a lot beforehand? SH: That is also the case, but even if I don't practice a lot I don't really think about it on stage.(laugh)

You took major steps in your career this year with the release of first full album in the USA, 8th mini album <Fantasia X> and 3rd full album <Fatal Love>. It will most probably stay in your mind as an eventful year. Do you have a feeling Monsta X took a step forward this year? SH: Truthfully, I'm not sure if we made a leap forward.(laugh) It's just something like ‘We did our best this time too, we promoted actively this year too’. We've been saying we want to become singers, a team, who keep developing and show growth since long time ago, but I'm really not sure if we made a leap and if we showed any growth. I do think we did our best. We had a strong will to confront everything in front of us all the time with no need to look back later. I do think ‘I need to do better next time’ sometimes, because it's not always a ‘very satisfying result’. ‘We finished it well, we worked hard, we need to do even better next time’. This way I'll make more effort (in the future).

Is there a specific part that you feel is lacking? SH: We're not attached to charts that much, but it's always good to get a lot of attention. There's nothing that I feel is lacking, I just think ‘we should always try our best, let's do better next time’.

Was there a reason for your US promotions to be focused more on vocals than your unique strong performances? SH: It wasn't a strategic change. The album's title and theme are ‘All About Luv’, so everything about love. After collecting songs with that theme I guess it just ended up being a more sensitive album. I like albums like this too.

5th place on Billboard 200 Chart, attending Jingle Bell tour 2 years in a row etc., you're showing good results in the US and overseas market in general, what do you think is the reason you are exceptionally popular overseas? SH: It might sound like an obvious answer but I think we got a big amount of fans because a lot of older and younger K-pop artists established the foundation there. I don't know if it's because our group's atmosphere is good but everytime we come from stage or come back from meeting the media, everyone talks good about us. It also helps a lot in the US market to have members who are good in English. One thing is that the whole album is in English, but for fans (us speaking English) might make it even more special and easier to support us.

Is there a Monsta X song you especially like? SH: I like "All I Do". Because it's a song with a medium tempo.

You participated with OST 'I'll be there' for drama <Tale of the Nine-Tailed> and featured in PREP's song 'Don't look back'. Is there a genre or a specific style of song you'd like to try? SH: Not really. I get thoughts like 'This song fits me well', 'This one doesn't work well for me'. But I also think 'What could I be good at?' 'I'll Be There' was a really hard song for me. 'Why is this song this hard for me?' I was really curious what the reason was. I don't express my opinion that much when it comes to song and album concepts. I just want to become a person, who sings songs given to me well and is good at expressing myself when it comes to dancing on stage.

You are participating as a judge on audition program <Cap-Teen>. What do you focus on when watching an applicant's performance? SH: I think I mostly look at (the applicant's) charm and the feeling they give off. Even if they don't dance really well, if their face expressions are good and they are witty, it can still be considered charming. I personally like a simple and refreshing style of dancing.

I feel like you will think of the past while filming <Cap-Teen>? SH: Can't help it, the memories come to mind, yes. The times, when I had no definite plans yet, wasn't a trainee or part of a company yet. And to be able to give even the slightest advice to them is very meaningful to me.

What was your goal when you first debuted 5 years ago? SH: 5 years ago I had this vague thought ‘I want to become the best, I want to become number 1 singer’. That's because I knew nothing at the time. Now I think ‘Let's be nice to our fans, let's be grateful’. If our fans personally come watch us on stage or if they only watch our videos. ‘Let's do our best for all kind of stages’ is our main thought. I think all of this makes us more grateful.

So you're trying your best to be good to your fans? If we look at Shownu related keyword search there's a ‘video call fansign’. You said ‘I left my jacket opened just for this fansign’ and it became a hot topic. SH: Am I really? I don't think that's me. I am not good when it comes to flirting and making witty comments. I also lack in freshness and don't have the strengths I should possess as an idol, which always makes me feel sorry for the fans who like me. There must be fans who want selfies, but I rarely take them. They just don't come out well. Nevertheless I can upload them after using photoshop so I've been trying to take more lately. It's still hard though. So I'm trying to repay fans in other ways.

This year is almost at its end, what kind of thoughts are in your head now that only 1 month is left? SH: Firstly, I want to finish this year well and turn over the "year 2020" page. I hope it ends well with no problems. As of now team promotions are really precious to me. There's a member who released a mixtape, another one is an MC, our individual activities are increasing this way. I want to keep working like this, doing some individual activities while also doing our best as a team.

When new year comes, one can feel fear and anxiety. Do you have this feeling when you think of the future? SH: I am not someone who thinks of this deeply, I don't live looking far into the future. Just doing my best and working on things in front of me at the time got me far all of a sudden. I don't feel anxious about the future, I think doing my best now will help me grow with time. I believe I'll get there at some point.

And, what is in front of you right now? SH: We have an English interview later at night. Then, I need to concentrate on our dance practice for our special stage that's going to be a part of year-end award ceremony next week. My goal is to pull off these well.

Do you have a favorite Christmas song? SH: ‘This Christmas’. It's a very old song and I heard it since I was young. I like it because it's less known than other carols. A lot of singers covered this song, but I especially like Donny Hathaway's version of it. I liked Chris Brown's version too but I've cut ties with him.(laugh)

This magazine's name is BEAUTY+ so I want to ask, what is something you considered pretty recently? SH: I think the staff gathered here today for the photoshoot are really pretty, because they're doing their respective work very well.

this breakdown was yesterday! i was reccommended this song by a friend and immediately fell in love, but it didn't fully hit until the song's climax. and let me tell you. it BROKE me. the a capella beginning, with the piano slowly coming in, then the strings, and suddenly it's growing and crescendoing and-- there it is. my synesthesia goes wild and i lack the language to describe what it looks like other than absolutely grandiose and gold and christ i'm rambling but despite it's simplicity-- or maybe BECAUSE of its simplicity-- if love were a song, it'd be this one. almost all of the other entries are funny anecdotes where i seem to cry about the silliest things but this one i genuinely cannot come up with a joke for and i'm probably biased right now because i'm listening to it on repeat again but damn. you won. you're golden.

Akiba Souken Interview with Jizue

On the original soundtrack of “Hoshiai no Sora”, which demonstrated the uniqueness of Jizue.

The ones who composed the soundtrack of the TV anime “Hoshiai no Sora” were the instrumental band Jizue, which is based in Kyoto and widely active both nationwide and overseas. It is said that they, who claim to have always wanted to work with video, encountered “Hoshiai no Sora” due to a certain coincidence. Their music, which is pleasant to hear despite being so technical, draws the youthful patterns of a soft tennis club, matching splendidly with the worldview of “Hoshiai no Sora” as it approaches the emotions of middle school students. We have asked members Inoue Norimasa-san and Katagi Kie-san about the soundtrack CD, released on December 25th 2019.

——Jizue is a band with a long career, right?

Inoue: We used to be a song band at first, but it has been thirteen years that we became an instrumental one.

——Why did you decide to be an instrumental band?

Inoue: Counting with the drummer who has left the band by now, we, the three male members, were childhood friends from grade school. We had always been a song band, but we sensed limitations somewhere along the way, so we decided to create cool sounds with just our instruments. Then, we started wanting a pianist, so we added in (Katagi) Kie-chan, who was an acquaintance of our drummer.

Katagi: I was always alone, playing from classics and jazz to pop, so Jizue was the first band I ever joined. Since it is an instrumental band, so I could play the piano as much as I wanted, and it is really fun to build up strength by overlapping with the other instruments.

——Instrumental bands have an image of talent to them, so hasn’t this genre been on a rise in the past years?

Inoue: I do not know whether it has been on a rise or not, but many cool instrumental bands have been around since the time when we started ours, and in comparison to before, I think this genre has been receiving more recognition lately.

Katagi: Instrumental bands have been blending into regular rock festivals often, and costumers who got to know about the genre through soundtracks for doramas have been gathering up at live concerts.

——In these circumstances, Jizue started making music for animated works, right? How was it decided for you to be in charge of the “Hoshiai no Sora” soundtrack?

Inoue: This is something that we also only came to know about later, but the cue was that the director of the recording company happened to have listened to one of our songs, “March of Monkey”, by chance. Then, he looked up the band name and recommended us to the anime’s staff.

Katagi: We had made music for commercials before, but it was our first time working with a soundtrack, so we were happy.

Inoue: Like, “A soundtrack commission has finally come our way”. We were happy, but at the same time, we had no idea how to make it (laughs). At the first meeting, Director Akane said that he wanted us to create Jizue-like tracks without being too conscious of the anime’s worldview, so we were relieved.

——How was Director Akane’s first impression?

Inoue: There were no detailed orders like, “I want you to add a sound like this” or, “I want you to use a melody like that”, so I thought he was the kind of person who was going to let us create freely. The only thing that surprised me was when he told us to make forty or more short tracks, with one to two minutes of length for each. I wondered if people make that many tracks for an anime.

——I believe the specific orders for the tracks were made through a music menu. How was it?

Katagi: Yes, we received a menu. The emotions he wanted us to express through certain tracks were written there, together with their length and tempo, so it was a new way of ordering.

——Who wrote the compositions?

Inoue: I was mostly the one who did it. All the members of Jizue write tracks, but we thought had to bring out a sense of uniformity for the soundtrack, and that it was necessary to have someone take the initiative. So I allocated the members, asking Kie-chan to take care of the piano tracks.

Fast and clear melodies are one of the “flavors” of Jizue.

——How did you get into composing the tracks?

Inoue: There was an order from Director Akane for us to make a number of main songs, so we started from there. At first, we made three-minute tracks like usual and went on to consolidate their images. The initial tracks from the OST, “Ingenuity”, “W -Hoshiai no Sora-“, “slow and sure” and “heart rate”, were conceived like that.

——“W -Hoshiai no Sora” was also included in your latest album “gallery”, which you released July 2019, with the title “W”. Does that mean you already had this track from the very beginning?

Inoue: No, it is a song that we made from scratch for “Hoshiai no Sora” and we liked it a lot, so we asked permission to include it in our own album. “W” is a title we put on it with both the meaning “doubles” and of “versus”, as in fighting against an opponent, and it is a song that we made with the excitement and dizziness of a game match as its image.

——It is often used in the anime and is also the track that represents “Hoshiai no Sora”.

Katagi: When I watched it online, the comments would go, “Here it is~” in unison whenever “W -Hoshiai no Sora-“ started playing. That made me happy.

——Katagi-san’s high-speed piano is cool and I think everyone loves it.

Inoue: Melodies like that are one of Jizue’s quirks, so we thought we should use them in this soundtrack too, no matter what. Ever since the earlier stages, we have been adopting passages fast enough to make people go, “So they can play that much”. I believe that this gap of having clear melodies in-between is characteristic of Jizue, so for this time, I would write phrases that were, if anything, quick-paced, and would ask Kie-chan, “Can you play this?”.

Katagi: I played by practicing a lot (laughs). “W -Hoshiai no Sora-“ has a tense air to it and I think it is a cool track.

Inoue: The track is not just hard to play - there is a sense of liberation from the hook’s melody, so it resulted in a track that is easy to ride on. Not just the anime’s staff but also the people who watched the anime have liked these tracks that we made the way we wanted, so we have this feeling that we created good tunes.

——This time, when you were making the soundtrack, what did you have in mind?

Inoue: There are tracks in it that last less than a minute, so I had wondered for a moment if people would enjoy listening to such short ones, but when I listened to them in sequence when working on the mixing and mastering, they sounded amazingly good. If I had to tell you why, I would say it is the track’s feeling - there is this sensation that the feelings of the tracks we want people to listen to the most are lined up in rows. When I realized this, I found soundtracks to be fun.

——I believe there were tracks for depictions of everyday life that you would not normally make. How was it trying to produce these tracks?

Inoue: We made them enjoyably, without any resistance whatsoever. We had the desire to bring out the uniqueness of Jizue even in such tracks, so I think they turned out as slightly eccentric daily life tunes. For example, their tempo becomes irregular.

Katagi: Nori-chan is the genius type when it comes to songwriting. Just from him humming a tune that he came up with at random, the tempo becomes irregular, but you can listen to it without any sense of misplacement whatsoever, even when the time signature goes from seven to eight. He is also a recording engineer, so by the time he creates a melody, he already has an image of its sound as a whole in his head.

——So you have a clear vision of the final form from the initial phase of composition.

Inoue: I do. This specially applies to instrumental bands, but I believe that the coolness of a track changes greatly depending on its sound design.

——While Jizue’s compositions are complex music pieces backed by advanced techniques, I had the impression that they were easy for the ears to get familiar with.

Katagi: Normally, when we are creating them, we members have an unspoken consent to make the hook’s melody into something that people can sing to, no matter what. Beautiful things will definitely resound within people’s hearts, regardless of how difficult they might be, so we think it is good to put in such melodies.

Getting to create tracks that take a full swing on emotions due to being given a setting from the outside.

——I felt that the nature of Jizue’s music was a perfect fit for “Hoshiai no Sora”.

Inoue: It makes me happy when people who watched the anime think so. When making them, we wondered about how the sounds would go with the animation, but when we actually saw it on-air, they matched so well that even we were surprised. As expected of that anime’s staff, starting with the director. We made countless tracks for the games, but all of them were used in good ways, so since they match so well, I wanted to have made even more of them (laughs). As we made a soundtrack ourselves this time, I started paying attention to the soundtracks of other animes.

Katagi: We would look forward to every episode of “Hoshiai no Sora”. We were only told the story of the early stages, so we were curious about the continuation.

Inoue: We were told it would have not just a sense of youth but also pain, yet I had not imagined it would be this much of it (laughs).

Katagi: In the menu, there was a specification like “fear toward his father”. We made a dark song with just the piano, but when we watched the initial parts on-air, the dad turned out to be way worse than we had pictured.

Inoue: The episode about Itsuki-kun getting the burn marks on his back was a huge shock, and I was like, “You can’t do that to kids, no matter what!”. But the mother’s suffering was also conveyed and felt realistic. I got sad.

——This is a series where the amount of painful scenes is not small, so while making tracks for youthful scenes and heated-up tennis scenes, you also had to make sorrowful and disturbing ones.

Inoue: And make them we did. There are not such dark tracks amongst our usual ones, but I personally like melodies in minor a lot, so I made them without any resistance.

Katagi: We were able to shake off our emotions and create these tracks thanks to the setting being given to us from the outside, like how it went this time. We normally write tracks while picturing sceneries and stories that have moved our own hearts, but we had never made such worked-up feelings into the theme.

Inoue: It was interesting to make them by being granted a theme. And I was really happy to have a proper response and see them properly matching the animation.

——Who decided the track titles and order for the soundtrack CD?

Inoue: I decided on both. For the track order, firstly, I wanted to line up the tracks we made as the main themes of the series, going from the lighthearted tracks into the dark zone from that point on, and then make a beautiful flow toward the ending theme, “Kago no Naka no Bokura wa”. I really like the opening and ending themes of “Hoshiai no Sora”.

Katagi: I think coming up with titles for all thirty-four tracks was a hassle (laughs). You did a lot of research on English language when thinking about them, right?

Inoue: I thought they had to match the mood of the tracks no matter what. Also, there is a code hidden within the titles altogether.

Katagi: There is actually a meaning as to why there is upper case mixed with lower case.

Inoue: We hope people enjoy this too.

——Do you want to keep making anime soundtracks from now on too?

Inoue: We so do. If any anime’s staff calls to us, we want to do it right away (laughs). A discussion has been raised about us making a series by merging Jizue itself with animation, and there are many opportunities to deliver our music through video series collaborations with an apparently wide scope of people, so we would like to keep actively going at it in the future too.
