Frustrating Story Time:

I have a lovely mutual who makes a lot of gif sets, mostly of ladies (which is great - we need that in the k-drama fandom). She has a troll bully who is constantly sending her anon asks (or writing from a clearly fake account that I won't name for now) just to tell her her art sucks...IN DETAIL. I mean in a LOT of detail.

I'm upset not just because I like this friend (and her gifs) but also:

There's such an easy solution for this bully:

BLOCK 👏 MY 👏 MUTUAL. USE THE BLOCK BUTTON. DO IT.

Literally, that is what the block button is for! It's not an insult, it's a tool. Don't like what you see? BLOCK IT and you'll never see their gifs again!

Before you feel like hurting someone's feelings by insulting their fanart hobby, consider hitting the block button.

Born October 5th, 1921, in Nebraska

Died April 8th, 1988 (age 66), in Martinez, California

Joe Ramirez enlisted in September 1942 (age 20) in San Francisco, CA, and he trained with Easy Company at Toccoa. Holding the rank of Private, he served in Normandy, Holland, and Bastogne. He was hospitalized in January 1945, and discharged in July 1945. After the war, he was married for many years, and had children and grandchildren. When he passed away he was buried with his wife, who had passed away 11 years earlier. Further information about him is scarce, but the brief character profile in the Band of Brothers series bible describes him as Mexican-American, and his personality as "sensitive and nervous."

Appears in Episodes 1, 3-6, 8, and 10; portrayed by actor Rene L. Moreno

I cannot escape #Now I'm thinking about how Wammy's orphans have such different perspectives on what they should do and what justice means...#to some of them (ex Near) it means catching sb legally by mostly lawful means and yeeting them into prison #to others (ex Mello) it means catching sb by any means necessary but still trying his best to avoid murder #and then to others (ex Tobias) murdering these people who he knows will escape sooner or later anyway is justice in itself #You try to put Wammy orphans down at a table to come to a collective agreement on how they should operate and they simply Cannot #Watari mildly fucked up when he made them ALL headstrong and under the belief that they're always the right one in the room #I bet any of them comes up w a cohesive plan and there's sb in the room IMMEDIATELY pointing out why that plan isn't it 😭#Obviously they'd still synch with each other if need be (ex Mello & Near) but forbid they work TOGETHER together as more than ~2 people #Tobias and Near would be such a funny duo esp. bc Near sees people resorting to murder as wrong and disgusting no matter if it's valid #meanwhile Tobias sees lawful justice as nothing but a farce because 99% of the time it does nothing besides giving a momentary #ego boost to the person who caught the criminal. and then beyond that it's no longer their business if the criminal escapes or not #but it IS very much everyone else's business; and why many live in terror daily wondering if their nightmare will return tomorrow #to be fair Tobias couldn't care less about their feelings 99% of the time either but Watari DID teach him to enact justice. and to him #getting rid of the root of the problem rather than locking it up IS justice. He perceives the problems from much closer than #other Wammy orphans ever have. He's RIGHT THERE in the middle of it whereas they're in some safe place far away from the victims #plus their backgrounds are far too different from his own to reach a consensus too... you can't make him believe prison = justice #just as you can't make them believe murder = justice. But I do think people would prefer Tobias' approach far more than idk Near's #again it's not like Tobias cares about how he's perceived by the people he saves! (or if he's even perceived at all) but I can imagine #going to sleep knowing the person/people/group/etc having it out for you no longer exists is a much more heartening sentiment than #hearing they've been sent to prison; from where they can send sb else after you or from where they can escape in due time

Yes my finals are going great! (<- has been obsessing over Solomon a Gaenor for the past 48 hours and has been rendered completely incapacitated by it)

#there are no good gifs of it otherwise i would add it to my cool little tumblr sticker collections #might make a post on my main idk #i don't even know why it's making me this insane like i'm not even sure what there was to be insane about #like it's literally giving romeo and juliet but make it even more depressing which i feel like is not usually my thing #but it was so interesting!!!!!!!! and like very nuanced in talking about religion and complicated relationships to it #this may have been helped by i watched the whole thing in welsh first and understood about 20% of the words on a good stretch #and so was really mostly watching the imaginary movie made up in my head based on images and snippets of dialogue #but also this morning i did a side-by-side with the english version and it was very interesting because it's literally two different takes #and so you can see the actors acting differently and the difference the language change brings out in their dynamic...very interesting stuf #anyways i've now written almost 2000 words of What If Solomon Didn't Die #because i think it would be really interesting to make them work out their life together and how they'd find community and such #idk man they're making me so insane i don't think i've ever been this insane about a cishet couple in media before :')#i need to stop thinking about them. i have like three and a half papers to write #perce rambles

yes! i watched a couple of videos from mud, but that's about it. i keep meaning to look into more from them, but haven't yet. (i'm not sure yet but i was thinking of doing some of their videos and some other bands, like slade and showaddywaddy(probably some 80's videos again like i used to too), after i run out of sweet videos to help me learn more but shhhh don't tell anyone)
