A few years ago, my little brother was having trouble eating at a reasonable pace. He still does but it’s loads better than that summer. My older brother, our cousin and I would create these weird awards if he finished first. We found this plastic medal once, we made a pin with paper and a safety pin, a certificate. Then we would eat slowly so that he’d win but not slow enough that he could eat at his normal snail pace that he’d win.

Idk what the point of telling you all this is but I just remembered this and I’m feeling sentimental. It helped him a bit and I think his probable adhd diagnosis soon will help my parents be a bit more considerate about it. I did this a lot when I was younger too.

My brother and I are quite different in our solutions to our adhd. I got in trouble for it too much as a kid so now I mask my symptoms and do tasks efficiently so that I won’t get in trouble. I have a huge fear of disappointing them or getting in trouble. My little brother has less of that fear, he doesn’t mask his emotions or symptoms and they are much more obvious.

It took a lot of convincing from my older bother and myself for our parents to take his possible (it’s not a possible thing it’s a real thing. He has adhd.) adhd into mind and do something about it. I hope with all my heart that my little brother doesn’t have to be like me, even if his outbursts and stimming are a bit annoying at times. I relish his ability to be open about it while I hide it all so much that when I mentioned briefly that I see symptoms in my brother and myself that my mother was completely surprised.

Idk this became a bit of a vent but it’s important to me.

my father His health has deteriorated very, very significantly. He has a bladder hemorrhage and is now in the hospital. The doctors said he needs an urgent operation and they are keeping him there under observation.

#original post #like. im not on hrt yet but im still out and regularly wear feminine styles- dresses and minor makeup and such #and that helps me get gendered correctly more often. i still get he/himmed not infrequently #but i get she/herred way more than otherwise #and i was just thinking about it and the possibility that the mental calculus isn't assuming im a cis girl #but (correctly) assuming im a trans girl and taking it in stride. and that put such a genuine smile on my face #and i honestly do think it's more the latter cause i don't think i pass *all* that well as a cis girl usually #1k+

#watching people debate him is so interesting to me #pro-Anakin people get it right in that upbringing shapes how a person is: he’s a slave child and had to leave his mom #so of COURSE he’s going to have an iron grip on people attachment-wise #but they tend to deny Anakin his own autonomy and resolve him of every bad thing he did #when it’s like: no. he DID all of that. not just did it…but did it once then did it again #meanwhile anti-Anakin people (usually) tend to understand that Anakin made terrible choices #but again…they either deny him autonomy by making him an always-evil character #or by just downplay the relationship he has with Obi-Wan or Padme. Completely dehumanizing him.#Like the truth is in the middle: he’s a deeply complex person #(arguably more so than fandom can completely understand)#it doesn’t help it that these people either tend to be pro Jedi (anti-Anakin) or pro Sith (pro Anakin)#Pro Jedi people tend to be…Xenophobic is the nicest term for how they treat Anakin #But pro Sith people tend to claim that the Jedi are a cult (they aren’t) and Anakin was groomed by it (he wasn’t)#So they use Anakin as the sort of doll to put all of their beliefs into. Jason comes back from the dead and, as he's still a bit out of it, heads to the manor.

Crawling straight up through six feet of compacted earth is hard, especially after waking up suddenly in a coffin, so after he makes it inside, he sits down to rest on the couch.

And immediately falls asleep.

Hours later, Bruce returns home to find Jason's body, covered in dirt, dug up from the grave and left on his couch.
