SUPRISE!! ANOTHER EXCERPT BECAUSE ICE ACTUALLY BEEN WRITING!!!! WOOOOOOOOOO
James, having a normal one :)
"He was fine, and it would be fine. What’s the worst that could happen? The legal offices get so tired of his evasion they send out a mafia style hitman to break a few bones and then throw him into the Thames. Actually that might not be the worst, at least then everyone’s happy and the problem is resolved.
The water was too cold to use.
Decidedly ignoring the fact it was only 7pm, he decided maybe time for bed where hopefully the aforementioned hitman would break in and either murder him in his sleep or fall hopelessly in love on sight and vow to protect him, starting a new life together on the run.
He was fine."
oh james. he gets put in so many situations all the time huh.
this one takes us all the way back to the very first chapter! and the first thing you will one day read, probably years from now, when i finally have the time to work on this again. sob. ANYWAY.
"Vanessa doesn’t ask them to prove it. There really is no other explanation for the spontaneous disappearance and reappearance of her friends, and besides, if they were pulling a prank or trying for an alternate explanation she’s sure they’d come up with something far worse. Like trying to convince her that Dennis has an affliction that makes him occasionally invisible. Sort of plausible, but nonetheless not the truth. She takes her cardigan and goes home and sleeps on it and wakes up the next morning half convinced it was all an elaborate dream.
It is not an elaborate dream. It is, in fact, reality.
Cool and fine. Vanessa is not freaking out."

The four Sages were called back into the past by Terrako and they remember it happening
Tulin got to meet his hero, Revali, and decided to be just like him, adopting his idol’s brash personality and drive. He practises Revali’s Gale and eventually comes up with his own way to show off his mastery of wind, and when trouble hits his home he rushes to fix it on his own to prove how strong he has become and because, like Revali, he can’t stand idly by while he knows there’s still things he can do.
For Yunobo, when he goes back and meets his ancestor Daruk, he is a very timid and reactive Goron. He needs a push from others to come up with ideas and carry plans through, and when bad things happen to him his first instinct is to use his fire magic as a shield, to wait until the threat has passed by or somebody else has come to save him. But when he is sent back in time to Divine Beast vah Rudania, for the first time he has to be the one doing the saving. Daruk encourages Yunobo and is proud of him from the moment they meet, and it’s this support that gives Yunobo the confidence to help fight against Calamity Ganon, and to start YunoboCo when he gets home.
For Sidon, meeting his family from 100 years ago is bittersweet. He is proud that he was able to protect his sister, and it’s a comfort to know there is a version of him who will grow up alongside Mipha because of his bravery and fighting prowess. But as much joy as he got from seeing her, hugging her, and hearing her voice again, it just reminds him of how unfair her death was, of just how young she was when she died and how he is now older even though he’s the younger sibling. And at the end of the war, when he’s returned to their original time, he has to readjust to her absence all over again, and in light of that is it really a shock he’d have her statue moved further away from his home? And it also explains why he’s so desperate to protect Yona from the sludge.
Riju in AoC still a new ruler to her people, despite her accomplishments in BotW, she still feels guilty over the temporary loss of the Thunder Helm and isn’t sure if she can lead the Gerudo. She has a lot of confidence but is quick to falter when things go wrong. Urbosa treats Riju as a capable fighter despite her young age, and teaches her that she should never give up, to keep trying even when her resolve falters. There is always something you can do, even when it’s just stalling for time until help can arrive. Urbosa guides her in mastering the Thunderhelm, and possibly begins teaching her to summon lightning herself after Kohga attempts to steal it, and at the end of their time together Urbosa tells Riju she’s certain she’ll lead the Gerudo well. Riju treasured her time being mentored by Urbosa so much that she considers what Urbosa would do during the Upheaval in her diary in TotK.
I think the entire reason Tulin was added to the DLC was because the TotK team had already decided that Tulin was going to be the Sage of Wind, and that since the other sages were going to meet their Champions Tulin had to as well.
At some point in the years between Botw and TotK Teba, Tulin, Sidon, Yunobo, Riju and Patricia were summoned back in time by Terrako to aid the Champions during the Calamity, and even though those events took place in a parallel timeline and had no bearing on the world they returned to, the Sages’ personalities at the beginning of TotK are because of their experiences during the Calamity and the bonds they made with the Champions.
#totk#totk spoilers#botw#riju#yunobo#sidon#tulin#aoc zelda#age of calamity#bonus thought i cbb to make into it’s own post for all the tag reading girlies:#since the light dragon is canonically present during the calamity because zelda was sent back thousands of years..#technically the light dragon is present for both botw!calamity and the aoc!calamity#and there is now a timeline in which totk!ganondorf will emerge in a completely different way because of timeline shenanigans#and there are two zeldas except one of them is a dragon#my belief is that in the aoc!verse since you can play as calamity ganon a part of it survived and like. it’s main goal is to find a way#to excavate the cave it’s creator is in and like maybe it lures link and zelda down there or maybe nobody even notices until it’s too late#idk. because there weren’t two zeldas in the past the aoc!zelda can’t travel back in time so like. either her character development means#her secret stone manifests her light powers instead of her time powers or she never gets the secret stone idk#what’s important is that aoc’s version of totk in my head takes place a few years after the calamity and by the end of it the light dragon#turns back into zelda and suddenly there are two zelda’s who are practically twins and this alternate time-twisted botw!zelda gets to see#the champions and her father again at the cost of losing her link and her friends in the future and having no idea whether her original tim#line is safe or not. and link gets to doublewield the master swords or smth.#if we’re keeping the aoc-style gameplay rauru is one of the jokey-warriors like the great fairies were and it’s just his arm and like. mayb#a bit of his shoulder or something because it’s 100 years ago and there’s a bit more of him left

Justice League never helped Amity Park.
Why?
They genuinely didn't need any help, it was one of the most normal and safe town in America.
Other than Jack Fenton on the road hazard but it's not like he can break walls with his orange jeep, is it? It's too little to get JL on it.
Okay, so what does Phantom do right outside of the Watchtower drinking Capri sun? Is it related to how horrified Flash is, running around meeting room like he tries to wear down the floor?
Why yes, absolutely. You see dear traveler, Ghost child is just not from this timeline.
He is from the other one. The intense one. The one, where Amazonians were at war with Atlanteans, where there was no line Batman wouldn't cross, where doctors Fenton didn't stop their research after their dearest friend had accident.
Yeah, that's the one. One that Barry created by saving his mother and the one he allegedly destroyed.
How do they tell the stressed ghost child that timeline he lived in ceased to exist?
*~*~*
Maybe I'm not clear enough but yeah. Phantom is from other timeline but as I heard, Dan shoved time medalion into Danny's chest so now our boi has wonky relationship with time. When Barry erased "wrong timeline", Danny got yote into his time and was confused. Like, one day he wakes up in the middle of the nowhere because of some shit and isn't even surprised at first but then realises something is off. Especially when he gets to the nearest town. Things are all sorts of wrong, like:
There is less ambient ectoplasm in the air.
Meme references are just not right.
There is no supernatural war.
Nobody is trying to post mortem murder him for being a ghost.
There are a lot more heroes and the ones he knew are different, like, why is Batman suddenly so much against killing?
So he goes of to find Amity and see which one's of the ghosts bullshit he has to clean up this time, only to see his city... Normal? Happy even? No broken pavements or anti ghost tech? No teenage stans? No alive food? His parents are more of the local handymen than mad scientists?! There is SECOND HIM, who isn't a ghost in the slightest?!
WHAT THE FUCK JUST HAPPENED AND HOW DOES HE FIX IT?!
Because yeah, this world seems nicer than real one, but he just can't stay here. Ghosts are probably wrecking havoc in his Amity again and he needs to get back now.
Just question is how, because it starts to look like whole new world and not some weird hallucination or Desiree doing her shit again. However so much things is similar that he assumes it's different timeline. He dealt with these before, once, but he managed. He just needed to find this Clockwork guy that showed up last time and learn what he has to do to fix it.
Wait, his parents here didn't made portal and Vlad didn't either because they're actually kind of trisome (ew) and he didn't have enough time. That's alright, Danny was raised in the shadow of the portal, he knew everything about it by heart. He could built it on his own.
Wait, portal needs and sacrifice. Can he use this world's himself as a sacrifice? He could probably ask these heroes for help but on the other hand he really doesn't want to do this to him. Being Phantom majorly sucks ass and he is jealous but he knows better than to destroy other his life over it.
Before he can resolve his dilemma, something he does pings Justice League's radar and Flash is send to investigate. Thank ancients it's him because allegedly other heroes wouldn't really get it. But it was Flash who somehow gets at least part of it, gives him a food and takes him to the space station (in space!). Now they have meeting about him and he has best view of stars he could ever imagine. Even though they're a little different than he remembers from back home.
.
Hope you enjoyed this little idea and maybe can add to the shenanigans. Comments and reblogs are whole yours.
I hope I'm englishing correctly and won't see too many spelling or grammatical mistakes when I wake up in the morning
Have a great whatever part of day it is to you

ohhhhhhhhhhhhh lets fucking gooooo the time machine HAS to be at least somewhat preplanned lore.
like he must have seen how fun people saw the deepslate chest timetravel shenanigans and planned some more story. Hoping for a goofy dr who esque story with lore and fun shit
like i bet the stream would have gone like he tried to find a way to break up fitpac and he thoguht "what if htey never got together" and thats how he started time travel but hte tubhole snow incident was a good way as well.
could also be the way his backstory is explained and it owuld be so fun.
Also so awesome there is an actual in game mechanic reason for qtubbo knowing how to time travel. like it was a natural thing that happened when he was messing around with fit so tubbo took it and made a story out of it. So cool

Time travel AU?
Imagine this:
It's 12 years after the Clone Wars. You're Din Djarin, a relatively new member of the Bounty Hunters Guild. You were raised by deserters of Death Watch, a group calling themselves the Nite Owls. You pick up a job on Hoth.
You find a strange sword hilt of some sort. You pick it up, and all of a sudden you're surrounded by clone troopers and battle droids.
You've gone from 7BBY to 22BBY. The first year of the Clone Wars.
A blaster bolt flies right in front of your face, hitting a B2 droid that was about to attack you. It came from an angle that not even you can make. It's a tricky shot.
You look in the direction of the shot that was fired, and it came from a clone trooper -at least you think it's a clone trooper- with armor painted dark gray and red, a stark contrast to the white and gold of the others.
There's three other troopers wearing those colors.
Your training kicks in.
You take out at least two dozen droids. You're panting heavily and you realize that everyone's staring at you.
A bearded man wearing slightly familiar robes and holding some sort of laser sword approaches you.
"What in the blazes is a Mandalorian doing here?"

gotta say that if bram stoker is trying to convince me that Renfield isn't actually future Johnathan from another timeline, then he isn't doing a very good job at it

For reasons that have everything and nothing to do with the most recent chapters of I&S, I've been thinking a lot about a time travel AU that I will absolutely never write.
Specifically, I want a time travel AU where little-kid!Zuko (age 9-10) travels forward in time and meets angry-teen!Zuko (we're talking like... the Book 1 egghead version of angry-teen!Zuko here). I know that sounds like a disaster waiting to happen, but the way I envision this playing out is:
Teen!Zuko and kid!Zuko meet, and after a healthy amount of confusion, figure out that they're two different versions of the same person. Kid!Zuko is... not thrilled to be stuck on a rickety old ship with a much grumpier version of himself, but hey! Uncle Iroh is here, and he's got lots of board games and even more free time, so it could be worse. Teen!Zuko, meanwhile, is having a bit of a crisis as he gets slapped in the face with several realizations all at once.
Realization #1: A warship is not a good place for a 9-10 year old boy to live, but there's literally nowhere else in the world where kid!Zuko will be safe. For as long as kid!Zuko is stuck in this timeline, teen!Zuko has to look after him.
Realization #2: Oh, shit. No one has seriously fucked up kid!Zuko yet. His life obviously hasn't been perfect, but this is pretty much the peak of kid!Zuko's sweet-and-innocent phase.
Realization #3: ... as fucked up as teen!Zuko's life has been, he desperately doesn't want to be the person who fucks up kid!Zuko's life.
Cue teen!Zuko scrambling to get his shit together so that he can be a reasonably healthy and stable guardian/big brother figure for his younger self. He starts working on his temper and trying to take Iroh's advice more seriously, and while things don't always go smoothly (kid!Zuko definitely picks up some vigilante tendencies from teen!Zuko. There may or may not be sightings of a tiny Blue Spirit causing trouble up and down the Earth Kingdom coast), teen!Zuko eventually figures out what he's doing. He puts in the work to become a decent role model, he deals with some of his own shit (and his outlook on life improves), he grows to see kid!Zuko as the little brother he never had, and he generally doesn't fuck anything up too badly.
Basically, looking after kid!Zuko teaches teen!Zuko self love (but with extra steps! I don't think grumpy-teen!Zuko could ever learn anything the simple way 😂)
All of that growth makes it harder and harder for teen!Zuko to ever envision himself returning to the Fire Nation. After all, if he wouldn't put his younger self through the pain of going back there and dealing with Ozai, why should he put his present self through that? And on a related note, kid!Zuko definitely has questions about teen!Zuko's scar and banishment. When teen!Zuko reaches a point where he's able to think about the Agni Kai, he can't imagine anything that kid!Zuko could ever do to deserve that kind of treatment, which leads teen!Zuko to question whether he deserved it. And as teen!Zuko starts to come to grips with the fact that he's probably never going back home - certainly not if it would mean putting kid!Zuko through the same pain that teen!Zuko experienced there - he has to start considering what other options he has for the future.
Kid!Zuko may or may not accelerate teen!Zuko's redemption arc even more by befriending various members of the Gaang and dragging his 'big brother' along to meet his new friends/disappearing for a few hours with his new friends only to be 'rescued' by teen!Zuko who is... very surprised and very awkward about it when he realizes who kid!Zuko is hanging out with.
There are obviously lots of time travel AUs out there already, but apparently this one is just going to live in my brain for the forseeable future 😂 As much as I love the standard "post-redemption!Zuko meets Book 1 Zuko and mentors his younger self to accelerate his own redemption/drags himself kicking and screaming toward redemption" time travel AUs that I see around the fandom, I think I'm just hungry for a time travel AU where pre-redemption!Zuko doesn't know what his future could look like. To me, there's just something really appealing about the idea of a time travel AU where his redemption gets accelerated not because he knows his life will get better if he becomes a better person, but because he wants to be someone who his younger self can be proud of.

So now that Pokémon Z has finally been confirmed after 11 years, since it’s a legends style game who do we think Arceus has decided to bamboozle this time cause my money is on either Emmet or Blue/Green
Now that I’m off work I can actually explain why these two are the main candidates:
Emmet:
• Battle Facility Foe (Battle Subway) • His twin was bamboozled by Arceus so who’s to say he wasn’t bamboozled too but sent somewhere else
• Dude is a staple of the Unova region (with the region having a significant role in Scarlet and Violet, it’s a possibility that we will get more Unova references/characters in this game) • With how much attention the fandom gave to Ingo when he was sent back to Hisui, just imagine the reaction of Emmet pops up in this game
Blue/Green Oak:
• Battle Facility Foe (Alola battle tree)
• In X and Y, a npc in a Lumiose Pokémon center says that “Professor Oak’s grandson came here to the Kalos region to study abroad. He got ‘Bonjour’ down just fine, but he still said ‘Smell ya later!’ when he left!” so Blue/Green has ties to Kalos, specifically Lumiose City
• We’re close to the 30th anniversary of the Red and Green games so if Game Freak were to give Legends Z-A a dlc it could be an anniversary thing
• Dude just keeps appearing in different regions (Unova, Kalos, Alola)

So like I'm watching the 2012 teenage mutant ninja turtles, and I thought the season 2 finale was rough and dark (but not like superdark, and it was a storyline that had been done in 2003 and the 90's movie so I wasnt super concerned but it was still 😱🥺😭), but season 2 finale is NOTHING COMPARED TO SEASON 3 FINALE OH MY GOD????!!???!!!?!?!?

okay. okay. Related to tonight’s musings before I go to sleep: not Lucifer time travel au but Lucifer time swap au. Future!Lucifer ending up in s5, where Sam doesn’t know him, where his vessel is burning up, where he has nothing at all and has to find some way to get back (and maybe make things in the past less shitty for his past self when they return.)
Meanwhile, s5 Lucifer is fresh off the manic high of being freed from the Cage and Sam rejecting him in 5x03, fully convinced that he’s on a spiraling path towards his own destruction but throwing himself into the role like a soldier on his sword. Except all of a sudden he’s Not That, he’s in a future where things are a mess, to be certain, but where they’re being fixed, slowly. Where Sam and him have Something (romance for anyone who wants to look at this concept with shipping goggles, for me it’s late seasons qpr samifer, my beloved) and Sam is just casually affectionate with him because of it. He has a son. He has a son.
It’s a lot for him to process.

Happy Wednesday! YAY!! I’m so excited for you! I hope you have the most amazing time! Also, as someone who spent roughly 14 years with a marine biology special interest, I absolutely did not notice that you didn’t include the names of fish so you are so good haha. I’ve really been enjoying the aquarium scenes in baby Jean! I spent years watching documentaries about aquariums/aquarium construction/marine biology and begging for trips the the aquarium any time we were close to one. The little aquatic theme to baby Jean so far has been so fun for me!
When you have some time, could I please get some baby Jean? I hope you and your dogs are staying warm!! 🤍🤍🤍
prev | Baby Jean | WW 18.1.2024
Jean fought the urge to cry as he looked around himself for any hint of his family. Instead, he was surrounded by strangers. He leaned back against the glass of the exhibit and sat down, cradling his chin in his hands.

Season 1, Episode 26: Moms of Future Past
Favorite moment: When Paeden cuts Glenn's Achilles tendon.
General thoughts:
Love the Whole New World parody. And it's with Doug! Love Anthony's deadpan voice.
Lots of crazy stuff in the opening table talk this time. BDSM: Bad, Dead, Sad, Moms. Oof. PRIMER!!! And the fact that Darryl takes his pants off when he poops. All very important running gags. (And the number of hilarious random topics they talk about sometimes.) Totally forgot about this "one word at a time" Henry fact. The vicious skiers. Oh boy. So he's on a watch list. Those dad facts were a wild ride.
Darryl gets ready to call Carol and Ron says, "Shouldn't we call someone who's going to pick up?" Damn, Ron. Way to kick a man while he's down. (I love how much emotional maturity Ron gains over the course of the series. He says some pretty mean stuff in these earlier episodes).
Ron panicking in this episode is just some great role-play. It's heartbreaking how much he doesn't feel worthy and capable of being TJ's dad by himself. No wonder Samantha wrote those words. He's going to need to hear them. A lot. Repeatedly. (Anything with Terry Jr hits differently, now.)
The whole scene with Glenn's hiccups is hilarious. And Paeden! There's a fun animatic of this on Youtube. (It's not mine - link included - you should watch it.)
Ah, Fry's. Love how this pyramid comes back in season 2. I don't mind that their time travel and all of the time differentials between the worlds don't quite make sense. It's a fantasy comedy podcast, it doesn't need to.
Epic ending! Love the music. We're off to Ravenloft!
